- 0:00Speaker 1: Ah, feeling good.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I feel great. Actually I don't. I don't actually feel it.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Why because I had a Chinese meal last night and
- 0:10Speaker 2: I had a ton of MSG in it, and my
- 0:12Speaker 2: dreams were fucking crazy.
- 0:15Speaker 1: MSG also my initials.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Oh, what's your s Susan Stephen? Oh, Michael Stephen, I
- 0:24Speaker 2: do you want to hear my about Okay? So I
- 0:26Speaker 2: had a little Chinese food, very good Chinese food, oriental
- 0:29Speaker 2: impression in Richmond's my second time in like two weeks
- 0:32Speaker 2: going there. But make sure you have nothing on the
- 0:34Speaker 2: next day because you don't get any sleep.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Right.
- 0:37Speaker 2: So MSG gives me crazy dreams. And I had this
- 0:40Speaker 2: dream about pod Labor where I was fired. The shannimal
- 0:44Speaker 2: fired what. She came in and said, Lizzie, you're fired.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I have this dream too, but you know you're not
- 0:51Speaker 2: asleep when you're having this dream. These are just your thoughts.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But yeah, my dream. So I was fired and then
- 0:59Speaker 2: I refused to leave. There was like we're in a
- 1:02Speaker 2: boardroom and there are like ten other people that I
- 1:05Speaker 2: don't know who they were, but I refused to leave,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and I was calling my manager, going they fired me
- 1:09Speaker 2: that if I went real crazy.
- 1:11Speaker 1: On what grounds were they firing, you would suggest, I don't.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I don't know. They weren't clear. But then then my replacement.
- 1:17Speaker 2: My replacement was a young, like fifteen year old boy
- 1:23Speaker 2: with a voice box right.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Like yeah, yeah, yeah, like I've been chained smoking since
- 1:29Speaker 1: I was ten.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I just didn't understand.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And so he was doing the songs and he was like,
- 1:40Speaker 1: shock people.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Stuff, I don't know what outa moo tay moota mood tape.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Mouta moo ta mouta mood tape.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Lost to curiosa sas in sick great great minds stink alike.
- 2:03Speaker 1: The our producer, you know, he's he's a hardworking man.
- 2:07Speaker 1: He organizes everything for us. He puts together a brief
- 2:11Speaker 1: every week. And he said the segment at the start
- 2:14Speaker 1: of the show is a song and or poem. And
- 2:18Speaker 1: I didn't realize we did poems or that was part
- 2:21Speaker 1: of our Yeah. So I was like, all right, I'll
- 2:25Speaker 1: write a poem.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Wrote this.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I wrote this an ode to grass.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Do you think you know someone?
- 2:31Speaker 1: The dirt and the extended rallies have come to pass.
- 2:35Speaker 1: For now we are diving and rolling on lush, vibrant grass.
- 2:39Speaker 1: The pace of the rallies will be stunningly fast and
- 2:43Speaker 1: players will be happy the stain is now green and
- 2:46Speaker 1: not brown on their ass.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Wow. Wow, is John Keat's in the room.
- 2:52Speaker 1: This is beautiful gold keats over?
- 2:56Speaker 2: That was beautiful. T. S.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Elliott and the tea stands for tennis and the S
- 3:03Speaker 1: stands for sensational.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Don't be complacent. It's tennis adjacent. Tennis adjacent, fairly tennis related.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Actually, Lizzie, I just want to run this past you
- 3:16Speaker 1: because I'm fascinated to hear your take on this.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Is it tennis related?
- 3:20Speaker 1: It is tennis adjacent?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Oh, okay, okay.
- 3:23Speaker 1: The guy I played tennis with in New York, yes,
- 3:26Speaker 1: who I've known forever. He's a very good friend. And
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, he starts telling me about his dating life,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and erol. I think I've told you this story, but
- 3:35Speaker 1: like no one's been able to really figure it out.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Oh, have you had a female POV yet? No.
- 3:42Speaker 1: He had been on a few days with a girl
- 3:45Speaker 1: and then, you know, had been to her place and
- 3:49Speaker 1: broke up with her because he found coins all over
- 3:53Speaker 1: the shower floor and could not get a rational explanation
- 3:59Speaker 1: out of her as to why and how is this?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Witch? Girls?
- 4:05Speaker 1: I mean is that the what is going on?
- 4:07Speaker 2: Leans on their shower?
- 4:09Speaker 1: And he said what he asked her, you know, point blank.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He was like, why is there change all over the
- 4:13Speaker 1: floor in the shower? And she was like, oh, sorry,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm a bit I'm a bit messy, I'm a bit dirty, Like,
- 4:17Speaker 1: don't worry about it. He was like, wha, but how
- 4:20Speaker 1: did they end up.
- 4:21Speaker 2: In the shower?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah? That is wild world explanation? Could there be? And
- 4:28Speaker 1: did it warrant breaking up with someone over? It's so?
- 4:31Speaker 2: I mean it's yeah. I think as you get older,
- 4:34Speaker 2: the ix become yeah, like.
- 4:36Speaker 1: That, it's a spisode.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It was coin coins on the floor.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I can't explain it. Who are these people? Yeah?
- 4:45Speaker 2: Where are the coins from?
- 4:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:47Speaker 2: I don't know how the coins would get into the
- 4:50Speaker 2: shower unless she's taking her clothes off in the shower
- 4:53Speaker 2: and the coins full out.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But who does that?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Everybody does that? That's crazy. Let's break up a bullet fence. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 2: or she's washing the coins. Maybe I'm thinking there's some
- 5:04Speaker 2: sort of witchcraft involved. That's my only Well, it's like
- 5:09Speaker 2: her crystals are coins.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You're saying all women take part in the dark arts.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you had it here first.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Tennis ad Jason.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Tay table take Tao, Tame mo, tame take.
- 5:32Speaker 3: No.
- 5:33Speaker 2: No.
- 5:35Speaker 1: We have so many things to talk about. Grass season
- 5:38Speaker 1: is in full swing. Yes, a lot of great tournaments happening.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I do love how Queens goes back to back with uh.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It starts with the women's tournament, and then I had
- 5:49Speaker 1: the men's one starts started today or yesterday. So yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and Queens is a solid tournament.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Beautiful looks beautiful, doesn't it. And you see like there's
- 5:58Speaker 2: all these houses around and people just like sitting in
- 6:01Speaker 2: their windowsills watching the tennis.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah. And then the like I talked about last week,
- 6:06Speaker 1: the change of just scenery of going from the orange
- 6:10Speaker 1: clay to you know, the back grass. And Okay, my
- 6:14Speaker 1: wife put it this way. She noticed I was watching
- 6:16Speaker 1: some grass tournament and she goes, oh, the flavor of
- 6:19Speaker 1: the floor has changed.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I love that you. Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I said what are the flavors and she said clay
- 6:27Speaker 1: is chocolate, she said, uh, grasses like lime all line
- 6:34Speaker 1: and then uh and then the hardcourts are blueberry. Oh yeah,
- 6:41Speaker 1: So the let's start with the women's uh Ratikanu and
- 6:45Speaker 1: Donna Vek.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Vick, I love Veck with her diamonds.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You know, she was a lucky loser for this tournament, really, Yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: she didn't get through qualifying, and then Marta Caustick pulled
- 6:55Speaker 1: out of the tournament and then so Donna got in
- 6:59Speaker 1: and then up winning the whole thing. Love that pretty great,
- 7:02Speaker 1: Pretty great, And the way she played in that first
- 7:05Speaker 1: set of the final. Yeah, and also because she is
- 7:10Speaker 1: i think ranked thirty three, so she'll go into Wimbledon unseated,
- 7:15Speaker 1: so she's just gonna wreak havoc if she keeps this form.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I love that, I know. And she absolutely dominated. There's
- 7:21Speaker 1: a bagel in the first set against rat Kanu, and
- 7:23Speaker 1: then rata Kanu was up five to two in the
- 7:26Speaker 1: second and then let it slip away.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Something happening in there, yeah as well, odd nerves, Yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I think that was it. But then also she had
- 7:35Speaker 1: a great week. There is of course, you know, British
- 7:37Speaker 1: commentators going this is it. She's going to make a
- 7:40Speaker 1: deep round Wimbledon. She's back, and she did have a
- 7:42Speaker 1: good week and was kind of cruising, but then lucky
- 7:45Speaker 1: loser Donna Vekage, Yeah, changed all of that. Yeah, and
- 7:50Speaker 1: Beckage has an awesome game it's you know, power off
- 7:54Speaker 1: the wings and then that dropshot just comes out of nowhere.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And if she can, like I said, maintain that form,
- 8:00Speaker 1: I think, yeah, she's gonna have a good wimbled.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Please give it up?
- 8:05Speaker 1: For please give it up?
- 8:12Speaker 2: What is the countdown to wimbled in a couple of weeks?
- 8:14Speaker 2: A couple of weeks?
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Holly, Hally? How do we say it? Hally? Helly?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Halle Berry, halle Berry, hollow Hall, Helly, Helly. Should I
- 8:25Speaker 2: look it up?
- 8:26Speaker 1: You can't? How Hall Hall. Maybe we could just call
- 8:34Speaker 1: it the Tara Whartman Open.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Give it up?
- 8:39Speaker 1: So big? The Hall Open known as the Tara Wartman
- 8:42Speaker 1: Open has started in Germany and already one big result
- 8:47Speaker 1: TFO taking out Kabali. I know. That's I believe his
- 8:51Speaker 1: first top ten win of the season for TFO and
- 8:55Speaker 1: Kabali is coming off getting to the United Finals. Eh yeah, yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So Holley is one of those tournaments where the shadow
- 9:05Speaker 1: and the way that it's broadcast makes it a hard watch.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And it's a shame because it is grass we're talking about,
- 9:14Speaker 1: how you know, it's a joy to watch. But then
- 9:16Speaker 1: this tournament, for whatever reason, they're like we'll do one
- 9:19Speaker 1: camera fixed at the back of the court, but like
- 9:21Speaker 1: up in the nosebleed section.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Budget cuts.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows what's going on? Just come on, Tara Whartman,
- 9:28Speaker 1: whoever you are warman? Is it some German term? Yeah?
- 9:34Speaker 1: And other results well, we should say with the Queen's
- 9:39Speaker 1: Tournament on the women's draw. Also a big upset was
- 9:43Speaker 1: Katie Bolter beating Rebeccina.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, which is huge, and that again hometourf Yeah,
- 9:49Speaker 2: but she capitalized.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah, the changing of the surface like has worked out
- 9:54Speaker 1: well for her and for her fiance is well.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Usually when she wins, he wins.
- 10:00Speaker 1: It's true. Yeah, they're in sync.
- 10:03Speaker 2: They are, which is good for them. Yeah, because they're
- 10:06Speaker 2: getting married.
- 10:07Speaker 1: If she sang moute moute, moute moota, he would sing.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Kirie Sadly, we're spending more time.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Together before we get the demon our Ben Shelton winning
- 10:20Speaker 1: the stuff gart boss open.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You love Ben.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I love Ben, and he played you know, fellow American
- 10:28Speaker 1: Taylor Fritz. It's just trying so are not to say
- 10:32Speaker 1: swift every time? It's hard, it is.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, the poor guy, because we asked him that,
- 10:37Speaker 2: how many times do you get called tailor Swift and
- 10:39Speaker 2: he said all the time.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Well, he said, I don't know, man, like I guess,
- 10:45Speaker 1: like our name sounds similar. I just play video games
- 10:48Speaker 1: and go to round stairs.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Bro.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I don't know, Bro, I mean outside of tennis, I
- 10:55Speaker 1: play video games.
- 10:57Speaker 2: He's sad. We'll give him that.
- 10:59Speaker 1: He is. He went through a breakup, but he did
- 11:01Speaker 1: make the finals up the Boss Open, and it was
- 11:04Speaker 1: three sets, but not I don't know, the most compelling
- 11:08Speaker 1: of tennis. Obviously. Both guys have huge serves, which on
- 11:12Speaker 1: Grass I mean short points. And then Shelton, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 1: did save match points on his way to the title,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and his girlfriend was there. I think we'll get into
- 11:21Speaker 1: that later. Yeah, that's girlfriend, Trinity Rodman. She is fantastic.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But I think the best match of that tournament was
- 11:30Speaker 1: Shelton Leahechka in the previous round the semifinals, three tie
- 11:36Speaker 1: break sets and the middle set went to sixteen to fourteen. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: so it's gonna be interesting. It's his first Grass title
- 11:46Speaker 1: and we'll see how he does, you know, going into
- 11:49Speaker 1: the big shows.
- 11:50Speaker 2: He's chance for finals.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Or like second week, Yeah, second second one. I think
- 11:55Speaker 1: it's gonna be interesting, Like I mean, sinners, maybe doing
- 11:59Speaker 1: one lead up to two tournaments.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Obviously Alcoraz isn't playing any of the Grass season, and
- 12:06Speaker 1: I think we talk about her every time. Djokovic wants
- 12:10Speaker 1: that twenty five Yeah so badly. He's the opposite of
- 12:15Speaker 1: DiCaprio in that twenty five is a number he wants
- 12:18Speaker 1: to see. Oh yeah yeah. And then well let's talk
- 12:26Speaker 1: about this the big comeback. Was it a comeback? Yeah?
- 12:32Speaker 2: He was a comeback.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah. We said last week that Serena.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Coming back overshadowed it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think that was in his favor now
- 12:41Speaker 2: that I think about it, because he didn't get that attention,
- 12:43Speaker 2: which is probably good. He slipped under the radar a bit,
- 12:46Speaker 2: and he was so good. Yeah, he looked great.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yeah, moute. He took out in straight sets, yeah, which
- 12:52Speaker 1: I don't think most people expected. Just saw on match
- 12:55Speaker 1: fitness and practice and everything.
- 12:58Speaker 2: They're very complimentary of each other.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Because they have this style that I love to watch,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and Bubblock has it as well. Just crafty, tricky, annoying
- 13:10Speaker 1: cats in your head. And so when you get two
- 13:12Speaker 1: players of that same disposition, I think they appreciate it.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah that's true. Yeah, yeah, they were always clapping each
- 13:19Speaker 2: other like, oh yeah, nice one, well done.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of love that. It's great. Yeah, and
- 13:22Speaker 1: it's if they're both trying, it's amazing.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Sometimes it's true.
- 13:27Speaker 1: These guys that play this style will just tank a
- 13:30Speaker 1: match every now and again and be like, eh, yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I want to go play Warcraft. Ye yeah to Tyler.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I got to take a PJ to Tyler.
- 13:42Speaker 2: That was good, thank you. Then Kurios came up against
- 13:45Speaker 2: the Japanese player.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Show show.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah is his first name? Yeah, yeah, wish they put last,
- 13:52Speaker 2: and I thought he was going to bat him. He
- 13:54Speaker 2: looked like it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: He won the first set, right, and then just kind
- 13:58Speaker 1: of fell away. Maybe that's the fitness, yeah, coming into play.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And then but this guy was a qualifier show and
- 14:05Speaker 1: he pushed everyone he played and uh Carryos was also
- 14:10Speaker 1: in the doubles with Public fun Boo we dubbed.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I was like, go, we're at a sink.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And they won their first one and then I think
- 14:22Speaker 1: they just like called it quits for the next round.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Oh he he woke up sick, but which sounds like
- 14:30Speaker 2: to me he went.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Out night Yeah, well speculation.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it just kind of I did check his Instagram.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I was like, there and he shuts at a pub
- 14:40Speaker 2: because you know before he played doubles here and I
- 14:43Speaker 2: was open, he was out. Oh yeah, he must have
- 14:46Speaker 2: been out.
- 14:46Speaker 1: He loves this is interesting. The Holiday tournament is also
- 14:50Speaker 1: doing a one point challenge.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Excuse me, that's not fair?
- 14:56Speaker 1: Oh?
- 14:57Speaker 2: Can can tournaments do that? Can tournaments steal other tournament's ideas?
- 15:02Speaker 1: I guess so. I mean they can't call it a
- 15:04Speaker 1: Slam because they are not a Slam, So they're like
- 15:07Speaker 1: a one point five hundred event. Yeah, it is so.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I mean we've partaken in at one point challenge as
- 15:19Speaker 1: it were, so and it is fun and it gets
- 15:21Speaker 1: people involved, but keep it Slam based. I wouldn't mind
- 15:25Speaker 1: if French Open or Wimbledon or the US did it.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I think Wimbledon takes itself maybe too seriously and then this.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Bad taste.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, what else are they going to rip off?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Shake Check Music Festival.
- 15:41Speaker 1: There's going to be a German arena.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, what would it could be called?
- 15:48Speaker 1: East Pod Tommy Haasa podcast. I almost shot on my pants.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Fans fans, fans, fans, fans, fans, fans.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Just want to quit tennis right now?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah? So the Liebima Open. I'm calling it because the
- 16:15Speaker 1: van Hoggen Bosh and Dashian. I never know. I can't
- 16:20Speaker 1: pronounce these things. The thing is, I think with tennis,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and we should have figured this out by now, is
- 16:25Speaker 1: just go with whatever pronunciation feels right, right, yeah, and
- 16:30Speaker 1: just say it confidently. And then if people are like, oh,
- 16:33Speaker 1: it's actually uh Jean Pierre Pericarde and you're like, oh no,
- 16:39Speaker 1: it's yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 1: There's basic names, like if you're saying Ben Shelton wrong, how.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Else could you say that? There's no other way you.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Could say that, bean shield to Shelton bean shield tune.
- 16:52Speaker 2: No, yeah, lib emma open.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Libima Oh yeah, well see I'm not gonna we should
- 16:58Speaker 1: stop correcting each other. So yeah, so lib emma yeah
- 17:04Speaker 1: Open Championships. Poland's Camille my Shock. See I sounded that
- 17:10Speaker 1: out phonetically, my shock beat on his way to the final,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Felix aug Aliasim and danil Medvedev, so good for him.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Polish tennis having a moment. Yeah, Kleinsko, Yeah, I mean,
- 17:26Speaker 1: but okay, Kawalinska in the final, Yes, Roland Garros and
- 17:31Speaker 1: then now Camille my Shock, like pushing top ten players
- 17:36Speaker 1: and winning a final Libima Open. Not the two Polish
- 17:40Speaker 1: players you'd expect, not Eaga Spontek and not Hubie Hurkats,
- 17:44Speaker 1: but these two players are true coming through. Yeah, how
- 17:48Speaker 1: would Hube sound about that?
- 17:50Speaker 2: I am going to Libimo.
- 17:54Speaker 1: That. I'm just proud of the parts players play very
- 18:01Speaker 1: well and my country hit the ball over there all right.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So yeah, the grass tournaments are coming thick and fast
- 18:12Speaker 1: and we cannot wait to watch it.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Know what I love about gross? My favorite thing is
- 18:16Speaker 2: the sound.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Yeah, the sound is so cool right off the racket,
- 18:22Speaker 1: like yeah, kind of river breaks true, just like, oh hey, somemr.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's like a pucker. We really need another slam to starts.
- 18:42Speaker 2: We can't stop mispronouncing these weird champions, you know.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But of course, uh Camille my Shaka Poland beat our
- 18:49Speaker 1: very own Alex Demonar in the final, another three set
- 18:53Speaker 1: battle which went to a tie break there in the end,
- 18:55Speaker 1: but uh fortunately Demonar not able to get it done.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But has he returned to some prior form I think
- 19:04Speaker 1: so yeah, yeah, it's gotta be surface based again, right,
- 19:08Speaker 1: Like he just doesn't love the clay and then he's
- 19:10Speaker 1: just playing great now on grass, which is good and
- 19:15Speaker 1: I think he's the great Aussie hope going in to
- 19:18Speaker 1: the championship.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Demon will Kurios get a wildcat food Wimbledon or something.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The wild cards will be announced this week, but we
- 19:27Speaker 1: do not know yet what they will be. I imagine
- 19:29Speaker 1: Kurios will be. I imagine he's playing these lead up
- 19:31Speaker 1: tournaments to be like on the hope of yeah and
- 19:34Speaker 1: I'm serious and yeah, to get him in the Roland
- 19:39Speaker 1: Garrison final, both the men's and women's. Unfortunately, the least
- 19:46Speaker 1: watch final in twenty years.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Is that because the big dogs weren't in it.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's a huge part of it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I think world sport. Obviously there's a lot going on.
- 19:58Speaker 1: The NBA finals, Old Cup starting hadn't officially started yet,
- 20:02Speaker 1: but I mean it was still I think people's attention
- 20:05Speaker 1: was elsewhere. And obviously, if you're comparing it to last
- 20:08Speaker 1: years Rolling Garris Finals, Sabalanca, VI Goff and alcaraz V Center,
- 20:13Speaker 1: that's box office, yeah that is, and then this one
- 20:15Speaker 1: it's like Zverev and Koboli just didn't draw the same attention.
- 20:21Speaker 1: And obviously Polish fans were watching the hell out of
- 20:24Speaker 1: Kulenska playing in it.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Sad.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I yeah, obviously I don't love it. You just want
- 20:30Speaker 1: it to be Every Slam should be super popular, I think,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I mean, I feel.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Like the lead up was really popular though.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Well I think all the upsets and the yeah
- 20:42Speaker 1: in the first week, Yeah, people loved it. But I
- 20:45Speaker 1: just think once the kind of headline names drop out,
- 20:48Speaker 1: the ones that are household names, that like Djokovic and Center,
- 20:53Speaker 1: and people are like, yeah, I'll watch something else. Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 1: But also Nixon five of our producer not happy about it.
- 21:04Speaker 1: He's anti Nicks and unfortunate news. Uh and Boco injured
- 21:12Speaker 1: her knee. This is another pitfall. Well, one of the
- 21:15Speaker 1: biggest pitfalls of the grass season is the knees. So
- 21:19Speaker 1: it's sad from Boco. She's pulled out of Wimbledon now
- 21:23Speaker 1: because of the injury at.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Queen's and so Serena couldn't play the doubles without it.
- 21:28Speaker 1: They rules first match. I think it's who you enter
- 21:31Speaker 1: the draw with. You have to play on, you carry on. Yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 1: you can't just sub people in.
- 21:36Speaker 2: How bad would you feel?
- 21:37Speaker 1: But I think they got that match in. There was
- 21:39Speaker 1: plenty of practice and now Serena's teaming up with the moot.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I did not see that coming.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I love it.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I love it. Yeah, I think that's going to be
- 21:50Speaker 2: a nice pairing.
- 21:51Speaker 1: That'll be great.
- 21:52Speaker 2: The mooch, I didn't know. Do you think they're close?
- 21:54Speaker 1: Maybe she calls the mooch at home?
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yeah, what mouch? Yeah me like we do.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I would love to call the mooch at home
- 22:05Speaker 1: your mooch, your mooch. You're using that other hotel kick
- 22:09Speaker 1: card mooch. They just had a UFC event on the
- 22:18Speaker 1: White House lawn. When will they have yea tennis tournament?

- 22:29Speaker 1: I would watch the hell out of that. That would
- 22:32Speaker 1: be amazing.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It looked crazy.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yes, my country goes how to party is happening? Then
- 22:39Speaker 1: it's insane, It's so great.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And all.
- 22:44Speaker 1: He fell asleep Trump, Yeah, he's sleeping the Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So he fell asleep at the NBA. Yeah,
- 22:51Speaker 2: and then he fell asleep at the UFC. God, someone's
- 22:54Speaker 2: got to get him some better uppers. Yeah.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Come on, Tara Wartman, Now.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Are you ready, Mike for approaching the net?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yes, I'm just saying instead of playing the sound effect.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Now, Ben Shelton.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I want to thank my girlfriend from flying here from Brazil.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Credited Trinity for his latest win, and whenever she's at
- 23:35Speaker 2: a tournament, he wins.
- 23:37Speaker 1: She's a professional soccer pay so it's probably hard to
- 23:41Speaker 1: line their schedules.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Up, Yeah for sure.
- 23:43Speaker 1: But what a romantic, cute thing.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Beautiful and she's wearing a Ben ten shirt?
- 23:49Speaker 1: Yeah, what does that mean? It's a cartoon?
- 23:53Speaker 2: Is old?
- 23:55Speaker 1: Well, maybe creepy because I know it.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I have no idea what I was like, it was
- 24:00Speaker 2: this voice books, what what is that?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Ben's about? Some superhero kid or he's like time travels
- 24:09Speaker 1: or something.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I don't know, but he's like no, I I thought
- 24:12Speaker 2: it was like Ben's tenth something or other.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I think the references to Ben Ten is like this
- 24:18Speaker 1: energetic character that's always, you know, exuberant and bouncing around.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I think Benon is what Trinity calls Ben Benon. What
- 24:26Speaker 2: would you rather your girlfriend being a lucky charm or
- 24:29Speaker 2: an unlucky cho lucky?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Yeah, why would you want an unlucky charm?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Well, because then because they want to come and then
- 24:35Speaker 2: it's like who was the other one that happened and
- 24:44Speaker 2: was like, don't come to me?
- 24:46Speaker 1: Well, and Medvedev's told his wife to straight up leave
- 24:48Speaker 1: the stadium before he's like points and he's like get
- 24:53Speaker 1: out anything else.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, Anisimova. She's in London, London, and she's actually got
- 25:03Speaker 2: a pretty good English accent.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Q Gardens, Old Witch, Baron's Court, embankments and embankments.
- 25:16Speaker 2: These are just tube stations.

- 25:30Speaker 2: All right, I'll start off easy, porky pies.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I know this from watching Guy Ritchie films. They are lies, correct, Yes,
- 25:41Speaker 1: a few porky pies. It's more dick gon.

- 26:07Speaker 1: Just put your digits in me. Dogging bound.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Sounds like not. Yeah, all right, this one's a bit harder.
- 26:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna go for a pack cash. Oh how cool
- 26:23Speaker 2: is that that he's actually made rhym.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah is it okay? I'm
- 26:29Speaker 1: gonna say that's taking a piece.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yeah slash, that's pretty good.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah. I wonder if he we should if
- 26:39Speaker 1: we ever get pat Cash in here, we should ask
- 26:43Speaker 1: him if he's aware of his his slang.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Oh my god, we are so fucked. Yeah we should.
- 26:49Speaker 1: What if someone said, I'm gonna go do a Lizzie Who?
- 26:54Speaker 2: That would be so good if I could get into somehow,
- 26:58Speaker 2: How am I going to get into? The English rhyming?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Slim will make it happen? But what would that meant?
- 27:06Speaker 2: The more did they get made, I'm going I'm gonna
- 27:15Speaker 2: Lizzie Who. I'm going to the loo? Yeah, all right,
- 27:20Speaker 2: just a quick one. Sinner vesper watch summer in Europe.
- 27:31Speaker 2: How cute?
- 27:34Speaker 1: These accusations that he's not Italian enough, and then you
- 27:37Speaker 1: see that.
- 27:37Speaker 2: And you're like, yeah, what's what's more?
- 27:42Speaker 3: He gotta do?
- 27:43Speaker 1: What's more he gotta do? Visit the Sinner on the
- 27:54Speaker 1: Vespa with his model influencer girlfriend in the back. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: saw this clip before and I noticed a lot of
- 28:00Speaker 1: people pointed out that she's not holding onto him, And.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Do you think it's just oppress oppressed?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Sure, that's the accusation. It's like a PR couple that
- 28:11Speaker 1: they're yeah, well in an agency.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yeah, she isn't holding Oh she's doing Oh she's holding
- 28:18Speaker 2: onto his shoulder like that, which is I've had I've
- 28:22Speaker 2: had a boyfriend with a vespa before, and you hold
- 28:24Speaker 2: him in the waist. Oh yeah, like a bear.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's part of the affectionate of affection of riding
- 28:31Speaker 1: around on a vesper.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, with a partner.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 28:34Speaker 2: If it's a stranger, you do the back You just
- 28:37Speaker 2: hold onto the back thing. Yeah. Rail interesting.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I saw this come up on my Instagram. It was
- 28:44Speaker 2: a little clip from a coach discussing what is harder
- 28:49Speaker 2: tennis or golf.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Tennis it's the single hardest sport in the world. There's
- 28:55Speaker 3: so many different skills you have to have. You essentially
- 28:57Speaker 3: have to be ambidex sous. You have to have be
- 28:59Speaker 3: able to swing with power off both sides. You have
- 29:02Speaker 3: to be able to volley. You have to be able
- 29:04Speaker 3: to hit overheads. You have to be able to serve
- 29:05Speaker 3: hit returns. People when they try to say, like golf
- 29:09Speaker 3: is as technically difficult, golf isn't even close. You're going
- 29:11Speaker 3: to say that getting para cards served back is as
- 29:14Speaker 3: hard as playing golf. The guy serves one hundred and
- 29:16Speaker 3: fifty miles an hour, Like, give me a break.
- 29:18Speaker 1: It's interesting.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Well, I was thinking about it. I'm only thinking about
- 29:22Speaker 2: ball and racket or ball and stick sports in the
- 29:28Speaker 2: same category. Yeah, yeah, And then I thought about hurling.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Have you ever seen hurling?
- 29:36Speaker 1: I believe so the Irish game, which is explain it
- 29:40Speaker 1: to me.
- 29:41Speaker 2: They have a stick like a long paddle and a
- 29:44Speaker 2: really hard ball and they hit it like a tennis
- 29:50Speaker 2: like a tennis movement, but then they also have to
- 29:53Speaker 2: bounce it on the ground and carry it. I feel
- 29:57Speaker 2: that is more skillful than ten and golf.
- 30:02Speaker 1: You heard it here first curling. This this is the curling. Well,
- 30:06Speaker 1: this is the combative argument of stuff that goes viral,
- 30:10Speaker 1: right because our one of our biggest clips is getting
- 30:13Speaker 1: Tommy Hawss to say pickle wake up every morning comments,
- 30:20Speaker 1: So now you know, but you'll get some hurling fans
- 30:23Speaker 1: I will and.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That Irish remember that.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Okay, interesting though, because I feel like it's a debate
- 30:33Speaker 1: that doesn't really I mean, he's obviously biased because.
- 30:37Speaker 2: He's not apples for apples.
- 30:39Speaker 1: No, I mean tennis like tennis and pickleball, there's an
- 30:42Speaker 1: obvious crossover, but tennis and golf, I don't know.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Very different games. He's right, you don't have someone like
- 30:50Speaker 2: coming at you. But you you mind your mind. Oh, shit,
- 30:57Speaker 2: But I don't know. I feel I'm gonna say tennis.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Tennis, Okay, I you know, obviously I'm biased. I would
- 31:05Speaker 1: say tennis over golf. I mean, you know, you're not
- 31:08Speaker 1: in a tennis court on a little cart drinking beers. Yeah,
- 31:16Speaker 1: but this is how we go viral again. We have
- 31:19Speaker 1: a debate about what is harder or what is not.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I also will throw in their hockey.
- 31:25Speaker 1: What do you call it when the score is forty forty?
- 31:32Speaker 1: So yeah. Lots of grass court tournaments happening June fifteenth
- 31:37Speaker 1: to the twenty first, which will recap next week. There's
- 31:40Speaker 1: of course someone in Halla, the Queen's Club in London,
- 31:44Speaker 1: and ATP five hundred, Nottingham will have a WTA two fifty. Yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: than the Mayorka to fifty bad Humberg. I love that name.
- 31:57Speaker 1: One for a tournament. Then that'll be great. It's a
- 32:00Speaker 1: WTA five one hundred that'll start on June twenty second,
- 32:05Speaker 1: all in the lead up to America playing Australia this
- 32:08Speaker 1: weekend in the World Cup.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, yes, yeah, what's your prediction there? You
- 32:13Speaker 2: guys look good the other.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Day, Yeah, you really did against I'd like to see
- 32:18Speaker 1: the US win on home soil.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a you can't really compete with US USA. Yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 2: it's so cool when you see it in the world,
- 32:27Speaker 2: hear it in the world.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you know they can have a UFC
- 32:31Speaker 1: fight in the middle of the field afterwards.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and Trump will be asleep.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Also right into pod Labor at tennis dot com dot
- 32:39Speaker 1: au and tell us why you think there was coins
- 32:42Speaker 1: on the shower floor.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and is that a break upable offense in your opinion?
- 32:49Speaker 1: Let us know
