- 0:08Speaker 2: almost famous Oge's with my og lady friend Trista son
- 0:14Speaker 2: Nay Wren.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hi, good morning, it's good.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Morning to you.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's early for you, guys. It's kind of late here.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I'm already at eleven o'clock. You guys are at eight
- 0:26Speaker 2: am out there at nine am for you.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Yes, and it's for our fall break. So I'm trying
- 0:32Speaker 1: to get as much sleep as possible these days. And yeah, yeah,
- 0:37Speaker 1: waking up today was I was like, wait, why am
- 0:39Speaker 1: I doing this?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Why do we decide to do this at the krack
- 0:43Speaker 3: of dog? Oh my gosh?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Why did I text everybody and say do you want
- 0:46Speaker 1: to do a podcast?
- 0:48Speaker 2: You know what, though, I'm excited that you did, because
- 0:51Speaker 2: this is this is some behind the scenes action that
- 0:53Speaker 2: I think people are starving for. So I'm excited that
- 0:56Speaker 2: we get to show.
- 0:56Speaker 3: It to them. We're going to talk about it. Carry
- 0:59Speaker 3: Are you watching, Gary, I mean, are you watching the show?
- 1:02Speaker 1: I am?
- 1:03Speaker 3: Is it everything you wanted it to be? This season?
- 1:06Speaker 2: You know, bringing some of the a little more of
- 1:08Speaker 2: the mature crowd to because I know we talked about
- 1:12Speaker 2: at the beginning of the season.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I was super excited about it cause I thought it
- 1:15Speaker 3: was like the right.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Thing to do people who weren't motivated by an Instagram
- 1:19Speaker 2: you know account selling tooth whitening strips.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Like I'm wearing right now.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Get them at tristasaturndareen dot com.
- 1:28Speaker 3: But uh, because I don't sell anything, so I don't
- 1:30Speaker 3: know how.
- 1:32Speaker 2: But anyway, yeah, I feel like it's one of those
- 1:34Speaker 2: things that like, this was a promising start, you know.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And yeah, I've been watching some of it here and there,
- 1:39Speaker 2: and there's been a there's been some drama moments. There's
- 1:41Speaker 2: a few that are stirring up the sauce and drinking
- 1:43Speaker 2: the kool aid that I'm sure the producers are still
- 1:45Speaker 2: putting in front of them.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So we got that. But it's not like.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Seasons past, right, there's still a very sincere not that
- 1:53Speaker 2: there hasn't always been a sincere lead, but there's a
- 1:55Speaker 2: guy there that is just about is as pure as
- 1:59Speaker 2: the driven, right.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I mean, I love you, I love you so wholesome.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yes, I love I love this season. I Mean, we've
- 2:08Speaker 1: had a lot going on, so I haven't been able
- 2:11Speaker 1: to watch with like my friends are getting together in
- 2:14Speaker 1: Denver on Thursday nights to watch and I just so
- 2:18Speaker 1: happened to be in Veil packing up this week, and
- 2:23Speaker 1: so I got to get together with my pickleball friends
- 2:26Speaker 1: because I was the first on the pickleball date. So yes,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I being able to meet Gary and the and the ladies.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You know, however long ago that was when we filmed
- 2:36Speaker 1: a month or two. It definitely like I want to know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: like what's going on kind of behind the scenes of
- 2:44Speaker 1: what I didn't get to see in person. But I
- 2:49Speaker 1: love the show. I really truly feel like it is
- 2:54Speaker 1: just since like you said, sincere and mature and and
- 3:00Speaker 1: authentic and and he is just so freaking wholesome. And
- 3:07Speaker 1: I knew that the country would like root for him
- 3:10Speaker 1: and get behind him, or at least I hoped, And
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think that's what's happening. I mean, from what I understand,
- 3:18Speaker 1: the ratings have been awesome and right, I didn't know, yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: I think so. I mean I don't know the numbers
- 3:26Speaker 1: for sure, but I know that, yeah, people have been
- 3:33Speaker 1: more so than recent past seasons getting behind the show
- 3:38Speaker 1: and watching. So but yeah, I was like, you know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: what should we talk about? Kind of what I saw
- 3:44Speaker 1: and what happened, because, as you know, as all of
- 3:48Speaker 1: us who have been watching the show for a while,
- 3:50Speaker 1: no or be part of the show, so much of
- 3:54Speaker 1: the show ends up on the cutting room floor, especially
- 3:57Speaker 1: this season, because they're I think it's only an hour?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Was it an hour? Hour and a half? I can't
- 4:02Speaker 1: remember if I.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Think it was an hour. I mean, I didn't see
- 4:05Speaker 3: the whole thing.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I haven't made it through an entire episode yet, not
- 4:09Speaker 2: due to not wanting to. It's just that I have
- 4:11Speaker 2: a four year old to two year old who I
- 4:13Speaker 2: was just going to say, refuse to let me watch TV.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Daddy duties. Yeah, I get it. So because it's only
- 4:21Speaker 1: an hour, they have to cut out so much and
- 4:24Speaker 1: I I showed up, and oh my gosh, it was
- 4:28Speaker 1: just so much fun walking into the mansion, knowing that
- 4:30Speaker 1: they had no idea that I was there, and from
- 4:33Speaker 1: what the producers had said, every single one of them,
- 4:37Speaker 1: not maybe not every single one of them, but whenever
- 4:41Speaker 1: they asked, they were asked to who their favorite bachelorette was,
- 4:47Speaker 1: or who they watched or you know that kind of stuff,
- 4:49Speaker 1: it was it was me and.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That we were on Yes, you're the Queen.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Well, I think it's just because this demographic, Like I mean,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I have a lot of older women, especially followers, who
- 5:04Speaker 1: I feel like watched the show back when we were on,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and it was kind of their intro into the show there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: They kind of, like we've said in the past, they
- 5:18Speaker 1: don't necessarily relate as much to the twenty somethings and
- 5:21Speaker 1: thirty somethings, so you know, they they followed it way
- 5:26Speaker 1: back when. So to walk into the house and like
- 5:29Speaker 1: have them get so excited.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I was like a fan event. It was like a
- 5:34Speaker 3: trust a fan event, right, you walk.
- 5:35Speaker 2: In through, it was O God, it was so cute
- 5:40Speaker 2: except Gary, except Gary except yeah, right year He's like, so.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Are you a producer? What are you?
- 5:46Speaker 1: I know, are you on the social media team? So
- 5:50Speaker 1: April and Faith had no idea who I was. They
- 5:53Speaker 1: were like, I don't think they watched the show. So
- 5:57Speaker 1: I had to explain to them what, you know, my
- 6:00Speaker 1: story was. But we actually talked for quite a while.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I want to say I was there for like twenty
- 6:06Speaker 1: minutes some at least, and they asked me questions and
- 6:11Speaker 1: I got to kind of hear what had happened with
- 6:14Speaker 1: the dates and at least the most recent dates and
- 6:21Speaker 1: really just get to know them a little bit, which
- 6:23Speaker 1: was so much fun. I really love all of them.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I had no idea that there was any drama at
- 6:32Speaker 1: all going on between Kathy and Teresa and zipp It.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What was that?
- 6:39Speaker 3: Like, I I was.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Gosh, this is I wasn't really a fan of that.
- 6:46Speaker 3: No, I wasn't either.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You can't be you know, and I think I'm sure
- 6:49Speaker 2: she's lovely, but you can't you know, you can't be
- 6:52Speaker 2: doing that to a you know, someone of your own age.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I mean, I don't even do that's my kids. Yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 1: No, And honestly, I don't feel like Teresa there was
- 7:02Speaker 1: no ill intent. She was just sharing her experience and
- 7:06Speaker 1: not saying anything about like, well, I've got this connection
- 7:11Speaker 1: and you don't. I think it was just Kathy taking
- 7:14Speaker 1: it personally. But the fact of the matter is she
- 7:19Speaker 1: signed up for a show where he was dating multiple
- 7:23Speaker 1: other women, Like I don't know, I just I kind
- 7:26Speaker 1: of felt like, that's that's silly. And Teresa is so
- 7:29Speaker 1: incredibly sweet.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Like you probably have a couple of favorites, don't you.
- 7:33Speaker 3: From being there and meeting.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Them, I did. I loved Nancy. I did not see
- 7:40Speaker 1: what happened to her foot. Do you did you see
- 7:41Speaker 1: what happened to her foot?
- 7:42Speaker 2: No?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I didn't see that, so she left. I loved Nancy.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I love Susan. She is just so sweet and so
- 7:50Speaker 1: supportive of the other women. I love Faith. She really
- 7:55Speaker 1: like they did not show her really at all on
- 7:58Speaker 1: the pickle date, I felt like, but I felt like
- 8:02Speaker 1: she really went for it and she had never played before,
- 8:07Speaker 1: which I loved. And then Sandra or Sondra, Sondra maybe
- 8:12Speaker 1: she had two knee replacements and she was like our
- 8:16Speaker 1: VIP that day for the Piccabell date. She really went
- 8:21Speaker 1: went for it too, played really hard and played really
- 8:24Speaker 1: really well and had so much fun with it. And
- 8:28Speaker 1: I love her sense of humor. She's she's actually really
- 8:31Speaker 1: really funny. So and then the best part kind of
- 8:38Speaker 1: of that day well, and also I love Leslie. She
- 8:42Speaker 1: did she was on the one on one, so she
- 8:44Speaker 1: wasn't on the date that I was on, but we
- 8:45Speaker 1: got to she was, you know, on the couch when
- 8:49Speaker 1: we were talking, and I just love her. She seems
- 8:54Speaker 1: so youthful, even though she's sixty four. She seems so
- 8:59Speaker 1: youthful and wanting to stay out of the drama. Like
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know, she was just so supportive and and kind
- 9:08Speaker 1: when I walked in, and just seemed so happy to
- 9:12Speaker 1: be there. Yes, and really enjoying getting to know Gary.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So and then did you.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Take it easy on them?
- 9:20Speaker 2: I feel like you took it easy on it because
- 9:21Speaker 2: you you're pretty athletic, and I could see you.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Yeah, you could have gotten in there and whooped up
- 9:27Speaker 3: on them.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I thought that I was going to play, but me
- 9:33Speaker 1: and Joey were kind of their coaches, so we were
- 9:35Speaker 1: like helping them learn the game.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Oh, I was under the impression that you played probably
- 9:40Speaker 2: off camera and they just didn't show it.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And that's what I was so, so while we were
- 9:45Speaker 1: waiting for something to happen, I was like, I want
- 9:48Speaker 1: to play, and Gary was like, let's play. So Gary
- 9:51Speaker 1: and I started playing, and then we ended up playing
- 9:53Speaker 1: two of the producers. They joined in and me and
- 9:57Speaker 1: Gary crushed him.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Nice to say that you hadn't seen it on the show,
- 10:02Speaker 3: but trust me, it happened.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Me.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I knew you. I knew you'd be good at that sport.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It's so much fun. I'm actually playing in an hour
- 10:11Speaker 1: with my friends, so Anyway, one thing that did not
- 10:16Speaker 1: get shown was a conversation that Gary and I had
- 10:20Speaker 1: and we were just and I might have talked about
- 10:24Speaker 1: this on another podcast, but after the tournament and we're
- 10:30Speaker 1: all just kind of hanging out, they ordered lunch for us.
- 10:33Speaker 1: We're like just sitting off camera. I think people people
- 10:38Speaker 1: were with us, like producers were with us, and then
- 10:40Speaker 1: it was just he and I and I sat next
- 10:44Speaker 1: to him and just said, so, how's it going, Like,
- 10:48Speaker 1: are are things happening? Are you? Are you interested in
- 10:53Speaker 1: these ladies? Is it working for you? And she's like
- 10:56Speaker 1: He's like it's working, and and he's like, I'm just
- 11:02Speaker 1: having a hard time figuring out, you know, what to do,
- 11:08Speaker 1: because I think, as we see in the previews, he
- 11:16Speaker 1: is having a hard time choosing between at least two people.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You know. I don't know if he's falling in love
- 11:22Speaker 1: with two people, but he's definitely developing feelings for more
- 11:24Speaker 1: than one person.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I was wondering if I thought you were going to
- 11:37Speaker 2: say something else right now.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I honestly, did you think I was going to say?
- 11:41Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say that he was
- 11:43Speaker 2: having guilt, Like we've never had someone in this position
- 11:50Speaker 2: I don't really care about the age who was in
- 11:53Speaker 2: love and their spouse passed away, you know what I mean,
- 11:57Speaker 2: the love of their life that passed away. We've never
- 11:59Speaker 2: had that before, and so in my mind, I thought
- 12:01Speaker 2: that's where you were going.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I got like the chills, like thinking.
- 12:04Speaker 2: About when you're talking, because I was thinking, all my
- 12:06Speaker 2: heart goes out to him because I wondered if that
- 12:08Speaker 2: would be something he would experience. I'm actually glad that
- 12:10Speaker 2: he's not, because there's obviously nothing he can do, you know,
- 12:13Speaker 2: to bring back the past. So from that perspective, I'm
- 12:17Speaker 2: glad he's not experiencing those emotions.
- 12:18Speaker 3: But I thought that's where you were going.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I wonder if he is, though. I Mean, he hasn't
- 12:22Speaker 1: shared on camera during the show, but he has said
- 12:27Speaker 1: like Joan was somebody who left who I loved, and
- 12:30Speaker 1: I was really sad, like after watching the show that
- 12:33Speaker 1: she left before I got there, because I really think
- 12:37Speaker 1: they had great chemistry and I loved their relationship and
- 12:42Speaker 1: I thought she was dropped at gorgeous anyway, and she
- 12:47Speaker 1: seemed like she had it all together and her priorities
- 12:49Speaker 1: and everything, and they talked about it. They talked about
- 12:56Speaker 1: you know how it's been hard, Like people say that
- 13:01Speaker 1: you're you could you should go on after a year,
- 13:04Speaker 1: Like wait a year, and it should be better after
- 13:06Speaker 1: a year, And they both were like, yeah, no, that
- 13:10Speaker 1: didn't really work for me after a year. So I
- 13:13Speaker 1: wonder too if there is some guilt. I know that
- 13:17Speaker 1: he's got like a heart of gold. Like every single
- 13:19Speaker 1: rose ceremony he gets teary because it's so hard for
- 13:23Speaker 1: him to say goodbye to somebody and like, you know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: kind of crush that relationship and say you're not Like
- 13:31Speaker 1: I feel like he's he's feeling like he's telling them
- 13:34Speaker 1: that they're not good enough. When to me and you,
- 13:38Speaker 1: we know that the reason that you say goodbye is
- 13:42Speaker 1: because you just have to invest more time into the
- 13:45Speaker 1: relationships where you're actually vibing and.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you have to go in that direction. Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: well you know, but I actually, and I'm sure you
- 13:53Speaker 2: probably do too, I relate a little bit to that
- 13:54Speaker 2: because I remember thinking, I mean, it was devastating to
- 13:57Speaker 2: me when I when I had to not give flow
- 14:00Speaker 2: of someone who was just a lovely person, you know
- 14:02Speaker 2: what I mean. I remember thinking like I would labor
- 14:04Speaker 2: over it, and and you know, the producers were really
- 14:07Speaker 2: good at making you feel like it was okay and
- 14:09Speaker 2: you know they're going to be fine, and but then
- 14:11Speaker 2: you watch the show and they're like in the limo bawling,
- 14:13Speaker 2: and you know, you don't know that the producers are
- 14:16Speaker 2: poking the bear. You don't think about it at the
- 14:18Speaker 2: time to get on the coat. Yeah, but I remember.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I remember really having those feelings too now.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And I'm sure for him, especially, you know, being more
- 14:25Speaker 2: mature and having gone through a lot more relationally than
- 14:27Speaker 2: I had at that point, he's probably seeing it, like
- 14:30Speaker 2: you're saying, like he's letting someone go and you know
- 14:33Speaker 2: it's going to be you know, just horrible for them.
- 14:36Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, I get it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Oh, I totally do too. I mean that first first
- 14:41Speaker 1: row ceremony for me, I was growing. I was like,
- 14:43Speaker 1: this is so hard to say goodbye to people. And
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's not like they're not great people, like, it's just
- 14:50Speaker 1: that I you know, they might not be the right
- 14:52Speaker 1: person for me. So anyway, we were sitting there and
- 14:58Speaker 1: he was just sharing that he was having you know,
- 15:00Speaker 1: feelings for multiple people and or like more than one person,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I should say, because I don't know what that number is.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And I was just like, can I give you some
- 15:12Speaker 1: advice like what people told me? And I cannot remember
- 15:17Speaker 1: who gave me this advice. I don't know if it
- 15:19Speaker 1: was my mom or what, but just that you need
- 15:23Speaker 1: to find someone. Instead of finding someone that you can
- 15:26Speaker 1: live with, find someone that you can't live without. And
- 15:29Speaker 1: the producers after I got home, they were like, by
- 15:33Speaker 1: the way, uh, he has been using your advice throughout
- 15:37Speaker 1: the rest of the show, And I thought, Oh, they're
- 15:40Speaker 1: totally not going to even talk about the fact that I,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you know, kind of gave him that advice. But he
- 15:46Speaker 1: he did say, you know, Trista gave me that. I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 15:50Speaker 1: that's so cool conversation because it was an off camera moment,
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know that that I thought there's no way they're
- 15:58Speaker 1: going to use it because they don't have the footage
- 16:02Speaker 1: to like it on the shoedule. Yeah, but so I'm
- 16:07Speaker 1: so glad that it helped him in some way to
- 16:12Speaker 1: be able to make that choice, because if he really
- 16:14Speaker 1: is and it seems like he is really really having
- 16:18Speaker 1: a difficult time deciding when it gets down to it,
- 16:23Speaker 1: if that helped him at all, that makes me happy.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Well, here you are twenty years later, still putting your
- 16:28Speaker 2: stamp on the franchise.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Oh, still affecting the outcome. I love it. Well, you
- 16:35Speaker 3: know what, I think, that's awesome.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I love I love getting a little behind the scenes
- 16:38Speaker 2: on this because it is a fascinating season. I mean,
- 16:43Speaker 2: I hate to admit this, but you and I have
- 16:44Speaker 2: talked about this before. I checked out for a couple
- 16:47Speaker 2: of seasons.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Here and there.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, you know, your life gets so crazy, busy.
- 16:51Speaker 2: This is one that I haven't seen every episode in
- 16:54Speaker 2: its entirety, but I'm interested and.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I'm paying attentionally, and I'm in it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: And you know, there's a couple of ladies in there
- 17:01Speaker 2: that I'm like, oh, man, I hope I hope she's
- 17:03Speaker 2: in the final four.
- 17:04Speaker 3: You know, or whatever, just because you want them to
- 17:07Speaker 3: feel you know. I don't know.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I just I see my I mean, it's terrible to
- 17:11Speaker 2: say this, but I see my mom and so many
- 17:13Speaker 2: of these ladies like.
- 17:14Speaker 1: That's not terrible, that's just reality.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, my dad passed away, my mom's lonely,
- 17:19Speaker 2: and it's like, yeah, I watch this show and my
- 17:21Speaker 2: heart goes out to them because I know, I know
- 17:23Speaker 2: how that feels. Not only from personal experience, but really
- 17:26Speaker 2: from watching my mom and what she's been going through
- 17:28Speaker 2: the last couple of years. And yeah, it's so awesome
- 17:31Speaker 2: the show came around along it just a really great
- 17:33Speaker 2: time I think for everyone to have it, like a
- 17:34Speaker 2: feel good I know, you know, thing to invest in.
- 17:38Speaker 3: You know well.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And also so to your point, Joan was in the
- 17:42Speaker 1: car when she was saying goodbye, like you know her
- 17:46Speaker 1: like exit interview or whatever, and she was saying, you know,
- 17:49Speaker 1: when you get older, it's really hard because people kind
- 17:53Speaker 1: of ignore you, like you you aren't as important to
- 17:57Speaker 1: people when you're older, and that broke my heart. I'm like,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I it's so sad how this country treats older people,
- 18:05Speaker 1: you know, because I think it. I think she's right,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and I think that I just love that that so
- 18:14Speaker 1: many people are getting behind these older, more mature people
- 18:19Speaker 1: who have had so much life experience and they deserve
- 18:23Speaker 1: love so much. Maybe not more than anybody, because I
- 18:27Speaker 1: think everyone deserves love, but I truly feel like they
- 18:32Speaker 1: deserve to find it again if they've if they've been
- 18:34Speaker 1: like you.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I agree with you.
- 18:37Speaker 2: I think, you know, especially now that you have time
- 18:40Speaker 2: to invest, you know, I not that you don't now,
- 18:43Speaker 2: But like, I think about my life right now, and
- 18:45Speaker 2: and all we can.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Do is drop parallels to our personal experiences. So I
- 18:48Speaker 3: hope I don't come up narcissistic break making it about me.
- 18:50Speaker 2: But I think about how how busy I am with
- 18:53Speaker 2: work and the kids, and and I want to be
- 18:56Speaker 2: you know, I still want to make my wife have
- 18:57Speaker 2: fun and go out to you know, dinners and have
- 19:00Speaker 2: but it's like that becomes a thing that you don't
- 19:02Speaker 2: always have the time for, right because you're so busy
- 19:05Speaker 2: with everything else. And now these people are at this
- 19:08Speaker 2: stage in their life where that's all they have time for,
- 19:10Speaker 2: but they don't have the opportunities. And so it's really
- 19:13Speaker 2: awesome that that they've got this group of people there
- 19:18Speaker 2: that now here's an opportunity.
- 19:19Speaker 3: And granted, it's going to be, you know, a weird,
- 19:21Speaker 3: surreal experience.
- 19:22Speaker 2: You're gonna be doing stuff you wouldn't normally do on
- 19:23Speaker 2: a date, But how awesome to have this at this
- 19:26Speaker 2: stage in your life when you can really appreciate it.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I mean, I may have taken some stuff for granted
- 19:30Speaker 2: back when I was a bachelor, you know, I mean,
- 19:32Speaker 2: I'm sure I did. Now when I look back on it,
- 19:34Speaker 2: I mean, I guess I always thought i'd be you know,
- 19:37Speaker 2: going into volcanoes in a chopper, just having you know,
- 19:39Speaker 2: a random conversation.
- 19:41Speaker 3: You know, you're you're like, oh, yeah, I want to
- 19:43Speaker 3: be on the.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Top of a igloo and Alaska, top of an iceberg.
- 19:47Speaker 2: But it's like, you know, now these people, now these
- 19:49Speaker 2: people are going through it, and they're like, whoa if
- 19:51Speaker 2: they're so mind blown over stuff that is just really
- 19:55Speaker 2: you know, I just think it's really nice to see
- 19:57Speaker 2: the appreciation and the gratitude. To borrow word from Trister
- 20:01Speaker 2: Sutter nay Wren, but you know, you're always really big
- 20:04Speaker 2: on gratitude, and I think that being able to see
- 20:07Speaker 2: the gratitude that they have for being a part of it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: And there hasn't been any exits that I can remember
- 20:12Speaker 2: on the show on this season where it's been like
- 20:15Speaker 2: a whatever, Gary, you know, you don't deserve all of this.
- 20:19Speaker 2: There hasn't been any of that. It's beenine sadness, you know,
- 20:22Speaker 2: because he's such a great guy.
- 20:23Speaker 3: And they cast the hell out of this show. I
- 20:25Speaker 3: think they did a great show.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Oh, the casting people did such a phenomenal job. I mean, honestly,
- 20:30Speaker 1: I just I just love all of them. I really
- 20:35Speaker 1: wish that I could connect with them more. I really
- 20:40Speaker 1: want them to have a big reunion with like everybody,
- 20:44Speaker 1: every single person I know. I just I don't know.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I think it starts here. I think we bring I
- 20:50Speaker 2: think we should start having some interviews from you know,
- 20:53Speaker 2: the Ogs should be interviewing some of the cast offs. Uh,
- 20:57Speaker 2: you know, because they.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Know us, they know what It's funny that you say
- 21:02Speaker 1: that we are OG's, but they are OG's of their season.
- 21:05Speaker 3: They're Ogs for real, the original.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I really need to have You're so right, we
- 21:10Speaker 1: need to have them come on our show because they
- 21:13Speaker 1: are technically Ogs.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Not that Benn and Ashley are a couple of whipper
- 21:17Speaker 2: snappers who don't deserve some good interviews, because they do
- 21:20Speaker 2: and of them, they are the namesake of our of
- 21:23Speaker 2: our podcast. But I think, you know, we may relate
- 21:27Speaker 2: a little differently to the people at this point, you
- 21:30Speaker 2: know that are on these seasons and you know, not really,
- 21:32Speaker 2: but I guess we can still fit. We'll be right,
- 21:34Speaker 2: but we can definitely come from a different place. So guys, anyway,
- 21:37Speaker 2: if anyone's listening, we'd love to have you on the show.
- 21:40Speaker 2: You know, Uh, make sure you call us, let us
- 21:43Speaker 2: know that you want to be on the O G edition,
- 21:45Speaker 2: and we'll be.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Happy to have you.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I love seeing Joey too. He is awesome. I'm really
- 22:02Speaker 1: excited for his season. And the ladies loved him all.
- 22:07Speaker 3: She's good looking, dude, I get it.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it was just it was just such a day.
- 22:12Speaker 1: It was a freaking scorcher. I will say. It was
- 22:15Speaker 1: so hot, so hot.
- 22:19Speaker 2: That I can't they have paramatics on standby do they
- 22:22Speaker 2: have you know, I'm pure hydrating available.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah. They also had like tents and like a mister
- 22:31Speaker 1: thing that was like spring Like that's smart.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I hate to say it, but it's true, right, it's
- 22:36Speaker 2: you gotta you gotta be smart about it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Oh it was. It was a scorcher, but it was
- 22:41Speaker 1: worth it. It was just just so much fun. So
- 22:44Speaker 1: I just want to thank that the Bachelor producers and
- 22:47Speaker 1: the execs for having me back, because as as I've
- 22:50Speaker 1: said on here, I kind of felt like I was
- 22:53Speaker 1: like I was never getting asked back, and I'm like,
- 22:56Speaker 1: what have I done wrong? I have done something wrong?
- 22:59Speaker 1: I never get to go back on the show and
- 23:02Speaker 1: to actually go back to the mansion and connect with
- 23:06Speaker 1: them was just just really sweet. So thank you to
- 23:09Speaker 1: the producers for thinking of me. It was good.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And hey, guys, her co host has never been asked
- 23:14Speaker 2: back either, and we all understand why we get so, hey,
- 23:17Speaker 2: I do have this. I want to tell you something
- 23:19Speaker 2: really great that just happened recently. So it's Halloween season, right,
- 23:23Speaker 2: and we you know, my kids are huge at a Halloween.
- 23:27Speaker 2: My son Grays, who's four, He's got like sixteen costumes
- 23:30Speaker 2: for this this particular Halloween, uh you know.
- 23:34Speaker 3: And we went to this little area right near.
- 23:36Speaker 2: My town called South Lyon and they have a library
- 23:39Speaker 2: there where the South my Public Library, and they do
- 23:41Speaker 2: this big, you know, parade through the woods and you
- 23:44Speaker 2: can collect all these candies and toys and stuff.
- 23:47Speaker 3: And I'm just you know, you know how I am.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I just move about my way just sort of without
- 23:52Speaker 2: a clue, you know, just standard. You know, I don't
- 23:54Speaker 2: really think about too much. Blessing and a curse. Blessing
- 23:57Speaker 2: and a curse for me. So I'm walking through the
- 24:00Speaker 2: I bring I'm carrying my my two year old Blake
- 24:02Speaker 2: and doing these ladies are standing there and I was like, oh,
- 24:05Speaker 2: they're gonna you know, they're gonna say something about The
- 24:07Speaker 2: Bachelor probably and they're like.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Aren't you almost famous? Ogs? I go, what what?
- 24:16Speaker 2: And they're like, we listened to every episode. We love
- 24:18Speaker 2: you and Trista so much. I'm like, well, this is great.
- 24:21Speaker 2: So then I'm like, let's take some pictures, you know.
- 24:23Speaker 2: But it was so funny because normally it's The Bachelor stuff,
- 24:26Speaker 2: right or whatever. It was almost famous, ogz is what
- 24:30Speaker 2: they We listened almost famous. O jeez, every episode, Like
- 24:33Speaker 2: that's a great candle it.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, we have arrived. That is amazing. Oh
- 24:43Speaker 1: I love that. Oh shout out to those women. I
- 24:45Speaker 1: don't know. Yes, but thank you for listening.
- 24:48Speaker 2: The soft Ye Library Halloween ladies, you know, hello, yes,
- 24:53Speaker 2: thanks for listening.
- 24:54Speaker 1: You know. It's funny because I feel like I need
- 24:56Speaker 1: to also talk about and maybe I.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Shouldn't, but I bet you I'm just going to guess
- 25:02Speaker 2: on something. I bet you had had something to do
- 25:04Speaker 2: with the fake fall, the ankle twist.
- 25:07Speaker 1: No, the ankle twist actually, which is funny because I
- 25:12Speaker 1: was told by the producers that I didn't know that
- 25:16Speaker 1: it was happening in the moment, but afterwards they were like,
- 25:19Speaker 1: just so you know she is. She totally faked this,
- 25:22Speaker 1: and you she said this black night on the episode, Yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 1: she waked You totally said it. But I thought she
- 25:30Speaker 1: like I hadn't seen it happen. All I saw was
- 25:33Speaker 1: her laying down after it happened, and so I was like,
- 25:37Speaker 1: I was trying to console her. I didn't know that
- 25:39Speaker 1: they were going to make this like a big thing.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So I was literally in there like holding her up
- 25:45Speaker 1: kind of so she could She was kind of sitting weird,
- 25:48Speaker 1: and so I was I was holding her up, and
- 25:51Speaker 1: of course they were like, let Gary get in there.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, right, right, oh okay, I get
- 25:57Speaker 1: it now.
- 25:59Speaker 3: I mean, that's funny. That's actually really funny.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You know. That's like the old school movies. You'd watch
- 26:04Speaker 2: the old school movies, like even in back in the Future,
- 26:06Speaker 2: like oh the Fake Faith, you know.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I was like, oh my gosh, you know, and.
- 26:10Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, just a way to get the attention
- 26:12Speaker 2: of a man you are fancying, as.
- 26:14Speaker 3: They say, exactly.
- 26:15Speaker 1: No, she totally went for it. And I love her personality.
- 26:19Speaker 1: April is hysterical and she actually is totally a girls girl,
- 26:24Speaker 1: Like was completely supportive of everyone too. Yeah, but yeah,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I feel like she's kind of in there a little
- 26:32Speaker 1: bit for.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Like she'll do.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Anything, you know, obviously she'll just sholl fall, she'll pick
- 26:39Speaker 1: a ball just so she can get time with Gary.
- 26:41Speaker 3: So Trista guess.
- 26:43Speaker 2: What not to say that I'm not paying one hundred
- 26:45Speaker 2: percent attentions I am, but I'm sitting there, sitting here
- 26:48Speaker 2: talking to you, and all of a sudden my phone vibrates.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I look and it's Jack French, sure from our season
- 26:54Speaker 2: of the Bachelorette.
- 26:55Speaker 1: That's crazy. And you know why crcually now that you're
- 26:58Speaker 1: saying that, Brooke Pemberton just reached out to Ryan yesterday
- 27:05Speaker 1: and just kind of was like, is I hope everything
- 27:08Speaker 1: is okay? Our dog is just going through a hard
- 27:13Speaker 1: time and it's just been a rough little while, little
- 27:16Speaker 1: patch for us with Ryan, you know, obviously trying to
- 27:20Speaker 1: stay healthy.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And well, he posted something the other day that was
- 27:23Speaker 2: so just so Ryan, just so genuine and sincere letting
- 27:29Speaker 2: people and he's not, as we both know, he's not,
- 27:31Speaker 2: you know, mister here here I am, you know, take
- 27:34Speaker 2: a look at me. Ever, and so for him to share,
- 27:37Speaker 2: you know, some stuff like that, and I read it
- 27:39Speaker 2: and I was like, I looked at it and read
- 27:41Speaker 2: the whole thing, and I was like, you know, I
- 27:43Speaker 2: was watching what people posted and stuff, and I'm like,
- 27:45Speaker 2: I'm just gonna let him know I read it because
- 27:47Speaker 2: I don't think Ryan needs me to be.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Like call me man.
- 27:51Speaker 2: But I think it's really cool that Brooke called I
- 27:53Speaker 2: mean Brook, it's been a long time since, so it's
- 27:56Speaker 2: too have connected.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I'm sure. So that's awesome. I think that's really I.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Was like, oh, that's really sweet, Brooke. So if you're listening,
- 28:03Speaker 1: thank you for reached out.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you, cowboy, Brook, very kind, thanks for sharing.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I think you know, for me, that was a reason
- 28:10Speaker 2: to tune in was to see you on the show.
- 28:12Speaker 2: And you know, definitely make sure that you know I
- 28:14Speaker 2: got to. I see you make your cameo much deserved.
- 28:17Speaker 2: We need more of that. I think Trista needs to
- 28:19Speaker 2: be back on every episode.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 28:22Speaker 1: I don't know although they if they do do a
- 28:27Speaker 1: Golden Bachelorette, Oh you have to be okay, sign me up.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I am there. I would you should be.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Co hosting that and be like the one that's in
- 28:37Speaker 2: the you know, in the deliberation room. When when when
- 28:40Speaker 2: you know Jesse goes in and checks on the Bachelor
- 28:43Speaker 2: the Bachelorette, you should be out there talking to the
- 28:45Speaker 2: guys like guys, I mean, this is really so and
- 28:47Speaker 2: be their friend.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I just want to go and be their friend and
- 28:50Speaker 1: be like, okay, what's going on?
- 28:52Speaker 2: Like that they might need to bring me in actually
- 28:55Speaker 2: on that one, right, like they might need to bring
- 28:57Speaker 2: me in and be like, dude, you really should dance
- 28:59Speaker 2: a jig and tell this guy that you do tibo
- 29:02Speaker 2: and you'll relate to me.
- 29:04Speaker 3: That's what I did. I'm here twenty years later. It's
- 29:07Speaker 3: so weird.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. I also wanted to say I heard
- 29:10Speaker 1: Wells do an interview and he was talking about how
- 29:15Speaker 1: he is dying for them to do a Golden Bachelor
- 29:18Speaker 1: in Paradise, which I am authorically all about, like if
- 29:23Speaker 1: they have to do a Golden Bachelorette, they just have to,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and if they do, I really hope that Joan is
- 29:31Speaker 1: the Golden Bachelorette. She's the one who left for her daughter,
- 29:34Speaker 1: and I mean, there's multiple other people that could be,
- 29:38Speaker 1: but I think she was since she had to leave
- 29:41Speaker 1: and she didn't get the full experience. I would love
- 29:44Speaker 1: for her to be And then if they have a
- 29:46Speaker 1: Golden Bachelor in Paradise, like, maybe it's not in Mexico
- 29:49Speaker 1: because they don't want these you know, older older personalities
- 29:56Speaker 1: dying of heat. Maybe it's yeah, you know, I don't know.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Colorado, Detroit's nice, Detroit's nice in the fall. You know,
- 30:09Speaker 2: the two former people from the show that don't live
- 30:12Speaker 2: anywhere near Tintaltown come see us for this season.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Oh that's funny.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I would love that. I would love to see more
- 30:22Speaker 1: of this because I just I just root for these people.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I like nothing.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I think it makes perfect sense. I think it makes
- 30:30Speaker 2: perfect sense. And you know they will with ratings going up.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I mean, one thing that ABC and all the Powers
- 30:37Speaker 2: that Be, one thing they're really good at is you know,
- 30:40Speaker 2: catch them lightning in a bottle and knowing it.
- 30:42Speaker 3: So I think that they'll probably run with this. I'm
- 30:44Speaker 3: hoping they will anyway. So I just hope that the
- 30:47Speaker 3: guys come on if they do a Golden Bachelorette.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I hope that the guys they cast are as good
- 30:53Speaker 2: as the women that they cast for the season for Gary, because,
- 30:56Speaker 2: like I said, like you and I both just did.
- 30:58Speaker 3: The cast and crew did a great job on this.
- 31:00Speaker 2: And you know, if they if they can find some
- 31:02Speaker 2: guys like that who don't come in trying to be like,
- 31:04Speaker 2: you know, a seventy year old Fabio, I think it'll
- 31:07Speaker 2: be you know, great because no offense to Fabio, but
- 31:10Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, I think Fabio.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Lightee totally okay, amazing.
- 31:16Speaker 2: But thank you all for listening to almost famous the
- 31:18Speaker 2: ogs Trista, thank you for showcasing your your charm and
- 31:23Speaker 2: you're just your empathy on the show made it a
- 31:26Speaker 2: better episode for me.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Great to see on the big screen.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so fun. Thank you for having me again.
- 31:31Speaker 1: To the producers, I'm sorry I don't have a lot
- 31:35Speaker 1: of like dramatic tea, but it was just like really,
- 31:39Speaker 1: it was just a fun show to be part of.
- 31:41Speaker 1: So awesome.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Thanks for the chat back.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I just called you bab bab o.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Thanks. Thanks, Trisa.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Well, hey, let me let me do our new sign off. Oh,
- 31:53Speaker 2: she's been Trista Wren Nay Sutter. Wait, Trista Sutter Nay Wren.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Wait what am I talking? I'm so confused.
- 32:00Speaker 3: We're saying goodbye. I know she's been Trista Sutter, Nay
- 32:05Speaker 3: Wrehn And.
- 32:06Speaker 1: You said.
- 32:11Speaker 3: We started this last episode. I thought we were going
- 32:13Speaker 3: to carry it on. Sorry.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Sorry, my brain is all over everywhere.
- 32:18Speaker 2: All right, go pack up some boxes and you know,
- 32:21Speaker 2: get things moving. But tell the family I said hi,
- 32:24Speaker 2: and I love them and I can't wait to talk
- 32:26Speaker 2: to you next time.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yes, hopefully we'll get to interview one of the Golden
- 32:31Speaker 1: Bachelor o gs.
- 32:32Speaker 3: That would be awesome.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Bye, everybody, thanks for listening, Bye bye.
