Adopted two children—one at birth and one at 2½ years old.
The adoption journey has been beautiful and brutally hard. Our son struggled deeply—multiple suicide attempts, didn’t finish traditional school, but earned his GED. After years of treatment, he’s now living on his own.
I’ve learned this: no one’s bar is yours. Every child’s path is different.
I don’t judge other parents anymore—you never know what’s going on behind closed…
