- 0:00Speaker 1: Brought to you by the reinvented two thousand twelve camera.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's ready. Are you welcome to Stuff you should know
- 0:08Speaker 1: from house Stuff Works dot com. Hey, welcome to the podcast.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm Josh Clark. There's Charles, Chuck Bryant and us. We
- 0:20Speaker 1: were together and there's a couple of microphones in front
- 0:23Speaker 1: of us. This is stuff, as you know, all that
- 0:26Speaker 1: separates us to some cheap bone yeah, and metal in
- 0:31Speaker 1: the table and some clean X and Y and this
- 0:35Speaker 1: I keel lamp from the lamp. So there's actually a
- 0:38Speaker 1: lot between us. It's come to think of it, this
- 0:40Speaker 1: box of chalk. Yeah, what's that here for? I don't know.
- 0:44Speaker 1: There's some really uninteresting things on this table, the playroom
- 0:47Speaker 1: in here. Well, we screwed this one up already. Great, Um,
- 0:51Speaker 1: nowhere to go but up. That's a great way to
- 0:54Speaker 1: look at this, Chuck. Yeah, that's great. I'm not going
- 0:56Speaker 1: to use it as a segway, but it's a really
- 0:58Speaker 1: good positive way of looking at things. Okay you, um, Chuck,
- 1:02Speaker 1: what do what does the cities of Boston, Massachusetts, Calgary, Canada?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Boot where is it in Canada? Edmonton? Okay? Edmonton? Uh?
- 1:15Speaker 1: And a little town called Palmer, Alaska have to do
- 1:20Speaker 1: with one another. I love when you do this. Um,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I have no idea. Actually, I mean they're all cities
- 1:30Speaker 1: or towns in the northern hemisphere North America. Are you
- 1:35Speaker 1: ready for the answer which destroys your guests? All three
- 1:40Speaker 1: cities recently voted to remove or stop adding Florida to
- 1:44Speaker 1: their water supply. Okay, do you know that? I did not,
- 1:48Speaker 1: But we've covered that before. We have. We we got
- 1:51Speaker 1: a little um overboard, possibly in our disdain for floride,
- 1:56Speaker 1: did we Maybe? Who knows. I thought it was a
- 1:59Speaker 1: good one. I still will stand by most of it
- 2:01Speaker 1: because we're in our younger days. Yeah, are headier days.
- 2:04Speaker 1: But um, so there's three towns that are starting to
- 2:08Speaker 1: wake up because the well that it's not it's not
- 2:12Speaker 1: really a conspiracy theory as much. It's more, um, apparently
- 2:16Speaker 1: people are buying their fluoride. Cities are buying their fluoride
- 2:19Speaker 1: from China, and the Chinese fluoride is subpar and it's
- 2:22Speaker 1: starting to like gom up the city water works. So
- 2:27Speaker 1: they're like, we either need to find a good supplier
- 2:29Speaker 1: or else we need to stop adding flooride. And everybody said,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you know what, let's stop adding fluoride. There's not even
- 2:34Speaker 1: real evidence that it works to prove a tooth decay. Okay,
- 2:39Speaker 1: so I'm with you. That's one major government conspiracy down dead,
- 2:48Speaker 1: onto the next one. Right, we're gonna talk about camp trails. Yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 1: we handle these occasionally. We have a video podcast. It's
- 2:56Speaker 1: not our own, but our our fellows uh college here,
- 3:00Speaker 1: uh stuff. They don't want you to know, right, they
- 3:02Speaker 1: tackle these conspiracy things and it's a lot of fun.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Matt and Ben, they know what they're doing. We try
- 3:07Speaker 1: to avoid it because a lot of times I just
- 3:08Speaker 1: don't want to be the guy that poopoo's everything and
- 3:10Speaker 1: or the guy that is the conspiracy dude. But we're
- 3:14Speaker 1: gonna tackle it today because people have asked for kim
- 3:18Speaker 1: trails over and over. Yeah. Yeah, so, um, we're gonna
- 3:22Speaker 1: talk about it and we're gonna handle it very well.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Let's let's talk about this, so just to get everybody
- 3:27Speaker 1: on the same page, a chem trail, depending on who
- 3:31Speaker 1: you are, who you're talking to, um, is either a
- 3:33Speaker 1: chem trail or a contrail. And let's talk about contrails first.
- 3:37Speaker 1: That's what the f a A would call it. You
- 3:39Speaker 1: know those streaks in the sky that follow a plane.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Lovely ones outside my window today. That's great. They're essentially
- 3:46Speaker 1: man made serious clouds, right. Yeah. What happens is when
- 3:51Speaker 1: you are in a jet plane, your jet engine produced
- 3:54Speaker 1: is very very hot. Um air is exhaust sure um.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Also included in that very very hot air is water vapor.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And if you are flying in an airplane very high
- 4:07Speaker 1: up say thirty thou feet, the ambient temperature, atmospheric temperature
- 4:13Speaker 1: is going to be about negative forty degrees, which is
- 4:16Speaker 1: the same it's Celsie sanfair well remember celsie height. Yes, um.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So when you have uh, there's also lower lower atmospheric pressure.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And if you also have thrown in there saturated air,
- 4:31Speaker 1: humid air, very humid, the vapor pressure, which is the
- 4:35Speaker 1: pressure that gas exerts on its surrounding environment. When you
- 4:39Speaker 1: have that all combined, you have what amounts to a
- 4:43Speaker 1: man made cloud. A contrail. Yeah, condensation. Condensation, that's an
- 4:48Speaker 1: even better way to put it. It's it's water droplets
- 4:52Speaker 1: or a lot of times, but not always, as our
- 4:56Speaker 1: author says, it turns into ice. It doesn't always turn
- 4:58Speaker 1: into ice. Sometimes it's just water, but a lot of
- 5:01Speaker 1: times it will crystallize into ice if it's cold enough.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And that's what you're seeing contrails, condensation trails shortened to contrails. Um,
- 5:12Speaker 1: So problem solved. They dissipate. Yeah, eventually it depends if you, um,
- 5:17Speaker 1: if you're in drier areas, Um, it's going to dissipate
- 5:21Speaker 1: more quickly. As Jay McGrath, who wrote this article points out, Um,
- 5:25Speaker 1: if you've ever been out on like a very cold
- 5:27Speaker 1: day and it was very humid and cold, your you
- 5:31Speaker 1: can see your breath far longer. It takes far longer
- 5:35Speaker 1: to dissipate then, Um, it does on a cold, dry day.
- 5:39Speaker 1: That's right. That's because the air is less saturated and
- 5:42Speaker 1: hence the vapor pressure is um higher on a dry day.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That's right. And in this exhaust or contrail, if you will,
- 5:52Speaker 1: you're gonna find carbon dioxide, nitrous oxides, shot sulfate, and uh.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Most scientists agree, if not all, I haven't talked to
- 6:04Speaker 1: all of them yet, still got like three three people
- 6:06Speaker 1: to go. Uh, they agreed that this extra cloud cover
- 6:12Speaker 1: essentially can be bad for the environment. Yeah, there was
- 6:15Speaker 1: a that's not debated very much right now. No, there's
- 6:18Speaker 1: a study that was released that basically estimates that um
- 6:23Speaker 1: it just in one year, the energy trapped by contrails
- 6:29Speaker 1: um is about was about a third of all of
- 6:33Speaker 1: the energy trapped in the history of aviation um from
- 6:37Speaker 1: greenhouse gas emissions of planes. So like, these contrails are
- 6:40Speaker 1: like apparently a really big problem as far as climate
- 6:43Speaker 1: change goes in creating the greenhouse effect. Well, there's a
- 6:46Speaker 1: lot more UH flights going on now than ever before,
- 6:50Speaker 1: a lot more than there were twenty and thirty and
- 6:52Speaker 1: forty years ago, obviously, Yes, so yeah, it's an issue.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So that's what a contrail is, and they are ventially problematic.
- 7:01Speaker 1: UM that mystery should be lying there dead. I mean,
- 7:05Speaker 1: they're just not really a mystery. It's like you can
- 7:07Speaker 1: explain it through science. Apparently the f A, A, NASA,
- 7:12Speaker 1: other aviation agencies, Northrop Grumman probably UM has said, here
- 7:21Speaker 1: is exactly what's going on. And whenever you lay something
- 7:25Speaker 1: out and you do it in a very forthright UM way,
- 7:29Speaker 1: a lot of times conspiracy theorists think you're lying, you're
- 7:32Speaker 1: making something up. Sure, so a lot of conspiracy theories
- 7:36Speaker 1: have cropped up, and basically most conspiracy theorists say, yes,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I understand there's such thing as contrails. Stop trying to
- 7:45Speaker 1: humiliate me. But have you noticed that contrails stick around
- 7:53Speaker 1: way longer than they used to? That is, uh, we'll
- 7:59Speaker 1: do a little before after with this, they say. They
- 8:01Speaker 1: say that kim trails is let's go ahead and just
- 8:05Speaker 1: let the cat out of the bag. They're calling these
- 8:06Speaker 1: kim trails, and they're saying they're there doping the fuel,
- 8:11Speaker 1: essentially lacing it with chemicals. Myrriad reasons that will go
- 8:16Speaker 1: over here in a second, and these chemicals make it
- 8:18Speaker 1: stick around longer, that's what they say. It's it's telltale
- 8:23Speaker 1: evidence that there are chemicals, as you say, they're the
- 8:26Speaker 1: planes exhausts are being doped with this stuff. Uh gosh,
- 8:30Speaker 1: I wish I had this guy's name. M A atmospheric
- 8:34Speaker 1: scientists that I've looked up earlier said this is one
- 8:37Speaker 1: of the biggest claims that kim trailers, as he calls it,
- 8:40Speaker 1: gets wrong. He says, Uh, contrails can persist for hours
- 8:45Speaker 1: as well. They've done so since we've had jet planes. Um,
- 8:50Speaker 1: if you look at old photographs from the sixties and seventies,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you're gonna see contrails in the sky just like we
- 8:56Speaker 1: see today there are a lot more of them now
- 8:59Speaker 1: because there's a lot our flights. And he said, uh
- 9:03Speaker 1: quote often when persistent contrails exist from feet, several long
- 9:09Speaker 1: contrails uh increase in number and gradually will merge into
- 9:13Speaker 1: an almost interlaced solid sheet. And he said, this happens,
- 9:18Speaker 1: it's a contrail, and that can happen with a contrail
- 9:22Speaker 1: and go ahead. A Kim Trailers would say, that's a sheet,
- 9:27Speaker 1: purposeful sheet of chemicals being laced over the world in
- 9:33Speaker 1: the atmosphere. And we all know why forty feet is
- 9:35Speaker 1: the limit that that scientists cited. Yeah, we went over
- 9:39Speaker 1: that to me. Yeah. Um, so here's I guess the
- 9:43Speaker 1: crux of the of the problem. There's there is this
- 9:47Speaker 1: thing that everybody agrees is there. We're all looking at
- 9:49Speaker 1: it as it's there, But why is it there? And um,
- 9:52Speaker 1: it's very tough to explain to a conspiracy theorist that
- 9:55Speaker 1: what they believe is incorrect, especially when you can't take
- 9:59Speaker 1: them and show them, you know, the plane that nobody's
- 10:02Speaker 1: doping it. Yeah. Another guy I read said, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: when we try to explain this to them, they say,
- 10:08Speaker 1: you're just part of the conspiracy, which I mean kind
- 10:11Speaker 1: of shuts down any intelligent conversation about it right there,
- 10:15Speaker 1: but it opens up some fantastic speculation. So UM, if
- 10:21Speaker 1: people if the government, usually it is the government that's
- 10:24Speaker 1: tasked with UM or that's accused of doping plane exhausted UM.
- 10:29Speaker 1: If the government we're doing that's why why would they
- 10:32Speaker 1: possibly be doing this? And there's here's where we get
- 10:35Speaker 1: to like the myriad reasons this is great. Yeah, they range,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I mean there's a lot of reasons, but they range
- 10:40Speaker 1: from UH, population control, essentially killing the sick and the
- 10:45Speaker 1: elderly quicker with these mysterious flues. Right, and this this
- 10:51Speaker 1: coincides with belief in the New World Order UM, where
- 10:56Speaker 1: basically there there is a movement it's an alleged movement
- 11:01Speaker 1: toward UM controlling the population more UM. Basically it's eugenics
- 11:05Speaker 1: on a global scale. But apparently China is being left out.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I went on this one chem trail UM conspiracy theorist
- 11:15Speaker 1: I guess a chem trailer website, and the author was saying, like,
- 11:20Speaker 1: there's no such you never see a chem trailer in
- 11:22Speaker 1: China because the in w O is like grooming China
- 11:27Speaker 1: to be like the premier country. So and just like
- 11:31Speaker 1: this one sentence or two, this guy really laid a
- 11:34Speaker 1: lot of stuff on the table. You have, like the nWo,
- 11:38Speaker 1: the rise of China, and chem trails all in like
- 11:41Speaker 1: one sentence. Was the Illuminati in there anywhere? I didn't
- 11:44Speaker 1: search for it, but it's possible. Well that's one reason, okay,
- 11:48Speaker 1: so population control, they're killing people off. Another reason is
- 11:52Speaker 1: that we are experimenting with weather control for defense purposes.
- 11:58Speaker 1: But this is we have done before. England has done this.
- 12:01Speaker 1: We talked about cloud seating and it was Operation Cumulus.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I can't remember which one we talked about it, and
- 12:07Speaker 1: it was it was early Yeah, anyway, Yeah, we'll just
- 12:11Speaker 1: go over it again. Operation Cumulus. It was a cloud
- 12:15Speaker 1: seating operation by the Royal Air Force in the fifties
- 12:18Speaker 1: UM where they were experimenting with making it rain so
- 12:21Speaker 1: that they could you know, flood enemy forces whatever. If
- 12:25Speaker 1: you can control the weather, there's all sorts of great
- 12:27Speaker 1: things you can do with it. And it actually worked
- 12:30Speaker 1: and it worked way way too well. And as we
- 12:32Speaker 1: talked about, like a lot of people died from flash
- 12:36Speaker 1: floods and whole villages were just washed away, and the
- 12:40Speaker 1: Royal Air Force went back home, and then the Ministry
- 12:45Speaker 1: Defense denied it until two thousand one, So it's possible.
- 12:49Speaker 1: China does it. China did it before the Olympics. Uh yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 1: with silver Eye died. Yeah did it work there? Yeah?
- 12:58Speaker 1: You just shoot silver eyed died or dry I saw
- 13:00Speaker 1: or something, and it creates um the conditions needed to
- 13:04Speaker 1: make it rain, for a cloud to become pregnant with rain,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and then that it goes away. I love that term
- 13:12Speaker 1: pregnant with rain or pregnant with anything that's not a baby.
- 13:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Okay, Uh. Others will say
- 13:21Speaker 1: that it is uh aluminum being shot into the air
- 13:27Speaker 1: to reflect the the harmful rays of the sun to
- 13:32Speaker 1: combat global warming, which would be a good use quote unquote,
- 13:36Speaker 1: I guess um. And there is such a thing as chaff.
- 13:39Speaker 1: You know what chaff is c H A F F.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Chaff is released from the underbelly of a plane. And
- 13:45Speaker 1: that is in fact, little aluminum needles um released into
- 13:51Speaker 1: the air. But it's used. It's been used since World
- 13:53Speaker 1: War Two by US in the Germans and anyone with
- 13:56Speaker 1: any kind of advanced defense program military program, am too
- 14:01Speaker 1: confuse uh enemy radar, Like hey, look, this is an
- 14:06Speaker 1: actual object up here that you're going to fire your
- 14:09Speaker 1: missile at, So don't fire at me. So there's such
- 14:12Speaker 1: a thing's chaff, but it's not released through the exhaust.
- 14:14Speaker 1: It's dumped out like your spraying crops. Huh. Well. Plus, also,
- 14:19Speaker 1: if we're using that for defense purposes anti missile defense,
- 14:24Speaker 1: why would a commercial air aircraft be launching it? I
- 14:29Speaker 1: guess dropping chaff, as they say in the biziness. Yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 1: so you know that's what chaff is, and that's a
- 14:34Speaker 1: real thing. Contrails are real things. So this all kind
- 14:37Speaker 1: of gets mixed together though in a in a conspiracy
- 14:40Speaker 1: like manner. Um, And you were saying like that, there's
- 14:44Speaker 1: an idea that the government is well intentionedly um trying
- 14:49Speaker 1: to combat global warming. I have a feeling that like
- 14:54Speaker 1: this would be well publicized. Yeah they would tell that.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I would think, so, like, hey, well yeah, but I
- 15:03Speaker 1: think the conspiracy theorist said, then then they would have
- 15:05Speaker 1: to admit all the dangers of global warming. Um touche.
- 15:11Speaker 1: You know, there's there's a rebuttal for for everything. It's
- 15:14Speaker 1: a great game of ping pong. There is another one
- 15:18Speaker 1: that I came across too, that is my personal favorite.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Another reason. Let's hear um that the government probably the
- 15:26Speaker 1: larger New World Order. Somebody is um manipulating organ. Okay, Oregon.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Are you familiar with Kate Bush's song cloud Busting? No?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Oh you're not. No. I like Kate Bush though. It's great.
- 15:41Speaker 1: It's like her most famous song and like I feel
- 15:43Speaker 1: like a healed No don't. Her video for it star
- 15:47Speaker 1: Donald Pleasants as the dad. It was directed by Terry
- 15:51Speaker 1: Gilliam And you can tell man, it's cool. Yeah, just
- 15:54Speaker 1: just look up the video for cloud Busting a YouTube.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Good song even, but it's a ballad. It's about this
- 15:59Speaker 1: guy named will how Mich who um was an Austrian
- 16:02Speaker 1: psychoanalyst who moved to the US and the fifties, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: he claimed to have discovered this stuff called organ, which
- 16:10Speaker 1: is a life energy that everything has basically like q
- 16:16Speaker 1: um right yeah um, And there's a packet of organ
- 16:24Speaker 1: that surrounds the earth and protects it and gives it life. Okay.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So he apparently fell him really really badly with the
- 16:33Speaker 1: f d A. They considered him like a huckster and
- 16:35Speaker 1: a fraud because he was he was selling organ generators
- 16:40Speaker 1: that would basically or organ accumulators that would you know,
- 16:43Speaker 1: heal cancer grow like plants or whatever, and he did
- 16:48Speaker 1: to your bit in jail. And I looked this up
- 16:52Speaker 1: and I'm pretty sure it's accurate. The f d A
- 16:55Speaker 1: banned and destroyed his books. Really, I didn't know that
- 17:00Speaker 1: I can do that. So it looked even further, and
- 17:02Speaker 1: it turns out the FDA destroyed, banned, and destroyed another
- 17:06Speaker 1: book on cooking with Stevia. I'm not kidding. I looked
- 17:10Speaker 1: and found it in several places that this really happened
- 17:13Speaker 1: to this guy in Texas who wrote a natural food cookbook. UM.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So apparently the FDA can burn your books if they
- 17:20Speaker 1: want to. But anyway, Wilhelm Reich was jailed, UM, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: he died in prison in nine seven. UM. But the
- 17:28Speaker 1: I've came across this chem trail theorist idea that um,
- 17:33Speaker 1: chem trails changed the polarity of the organ that surrounds
- 17:37Speaker 1: the earth and affects us. So you can make You
- 17:43Speaker 1: can make your own cloud busting machine at home for
- 17:47Speaker 1: about five bucks from parts you can get at home depot. Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Pretty cool. Yeah. If you go to educate en yourself
- 17:55Speaker 1: dot org, you can find a chem buster schematics. I'll
- 18:00Speaker 1: do it. I got five bucks to burn and look
- 18:03Speaker 1: up the look up that Kate Bush song the video
- 18:06Speaker 1: loan is really cool. Yeah, it sounds like it when
- 18:09Speaker 1: they put some real money into music videos back in
- 18:11Speaker 1: the day. What else, Josh got any other reasons? Well,
- 18:17Speaker 1: then let's talk a little bit about Uh. Well, the
- 18:21Speaker 1: United States actually did address this, because a lot of
- 18:25Speaker 1: times they'll just not even give any credence to these
- 18:28Speaker 1: conspiracy theories. But there were there were so many inquiries
- 18:31Speaker 1: to this. The NASA, E P A and f A
- 18:34Speaker 1: A and in O a A issued a joint back
- 18:38Speaker 1: sheet and two thousand that explained everything and said, you know,
- 18:43Speaker 1: here's the deal, here's your back sheet. This is official,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and this is our official stance. I think the Air
- 18:48Speaker 1: Force did something similar. Didn't do anything to dissuade anyone. No,
- 18:52Speaker 1: and I'm sure and it catch twenty two. The fact
- 18:55Speaker 1: that they did uncharacteristically break the silence and come forward
- 19:00Speaker 1: just added fuel to the fire. Yeah, or strengthen the
- 19:04Speaker 1: conviction of conspiracy theorists. When didn't you say? I think so.
- 19:08Speaker 1: One of the things that the conspiracy theorists will point
- 19:11Speaker 1: to with Kim Trail or let's just keep calling them
- 19:14Speaker 1: kim trailers, so much easier. UH. They will point to
- 19:18Speaker 1: the grid like patterns as mysterious as as setting it
- 19:23Speaker 1: up so it will eventually form a complete coverage, you know,
- 19:27Speaker 1: from day to day, and UH air traffic dudes will say,
- 19:31Speaker 1: you know what, that's because of the our aerospace, our
- 19:36Speaker 1: airspace systems, North south and east west flight lanes. That's
- 19:40Speaker 1: how we send planes. So they're gonna criss cross like
- 19:43Speaker 1: that and it's gonna look like a grid. Seems to
- 19:46Speaker 1: explain things away pretty well. There was also josh A
- 19:50Speaker 1: the news you know, local news, like they'll get on
- 19:53Speaker 1: the case of something like this and get really excited,
- 19:56Speaker 1: especially when weatherman and are involved, because they'll get like,
- 19:59Speaker 1: all of a sudden they get to do one of
- 20:00Speaker 1: those investigative reports that they never get to do. So
- 20:03Speaker 1: in Shreveport, Louisiana at k s l A News twelve,
- 20:07Speaker 1: they did a test because this UH guy said, you
- 20:11Speaker 1: know what, I've noticed these unusual clouds that that just
- 20:14Speaker 1: continue to fall until they reached the ground, and I'm
- 20:18Speaker 1: collecting this water and we should examine, you know, testas water.
- 20:21Speaker 1: So they was like, sure, of course we should and
- 20:24Speaker 1: they tested it and found uh high levels of barrier
- 20:28Speaker 1: at six point eight parts per million, which is more
- 20:31Speaker 1: than three times a toxic level, and they said, we're
- 20:34Speaker 1: onto something here because that is a hallmark of uh
- 20:38Speaker 1: KIM trail testing. And then they found out they actually
- 20:42Speaker 1: misread the report and it was six point um sorry,
- 20:45Speaker 1: sixty eight parts per billion. Oh, not six point eight
- 20:50Speaker 1: per million, but sixty eight pervillion, and it was well
- 20:53Speaker 1: within the range. They retracted their story. Other local stations
- 20:57Speaker 1: around the country picked up on that and then kind
- 20:59Speaker 1: of had to watch the offer their face afterwards, or
- 21:01Speaker 1: they just never mentioned it again without a follow up exactly.
- 21:06Speaker 1: UH colors A lot of times these things will have
- 21:10Speaker 1: vibrant colors. And UH I saw a show on our
- 21:14Speaker 1: own Discovery channel called Best Evidence, and one of their
- 21:19Speaker 1: atmospheric researchers said, that's just it's coloration. You're gonna get it.
- 21:23Speaker 1: And you're on the ground, you can't tell, like getting
- 21:27Speaker 1: back to the grid, you can't tell from the ground
- 21:29Speaker 1: what atmosphere these things are at. So it looks like
- 21:31Speaker 1: a criss cross right over each other might bet apart.
- 21:36Speaker 1: And you're looking at this from the ground, you're looking
- 21:37Speaker 1: at the colors like is a rainbow some vaste conspiracy
- 21:42Speaker 1: as well. Somebody's got a conspiracy theory on that one,
- 21:46Speaker 1: the rainbow. I think Kim Trails proved that there's a
- 21:48Speaker 1: conspiracy theory on absolutely everything. Uh, that's true. Um, but
- 21:53Speaker 1: this show, it was actually pretty good. It was called
- 21:55Speaker 1: best Evidence. You can watch it on the YouTube's or
- 21:58Speaker 1: maybe Discovery dot com is it, I don't know. And
- 22:01Speaker 1: they actually tested stuff. They tested jet emissions in a
- 22:04Speaker 1: lab for aluminum and UH tested them with atomic absorption spectrometers,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and they also tested it in the air um with
- 22:15Speaker 1: a land spectrometer and they found no aluminum in in
- 22:19Speaker 1: the fuel or exhaust. However, the conspiracy theorists will say, well,
- 22:24Speaker 1: you didn't get the doped fuel. You just tested regular
- 22:27Speaker 1: jet fuel and not the secret jet fuel that the
- 22:30Speaker 1: US government. And it's not just US, Canada and and
- 22:33Speaker 1: and Britain and other countries UH have made these claims
- 22:37Speaker 1: as well. So it's semi worldwide, but not in China evidently,
- 22:44Speaker 1: because there's so such thing as a contrailer a Kim
- 22:47Speaker 1: trail in China. They're the NWOS favorite. And then the
- 22:51Speaker 1: dentist cscentach thing. Yeah tell me about this. I haven't
- 22:53Speaker 1: heard he And this is something that the KIM trailers
- 22:57Speaker 1: will point to in the UH that there was a
- 23:00Speaker 1: bill introduced by Dennis Casinich, a dude I happened to like,
- 23:04Speaker 1: and uh, the Space Preservation Act HR two seven, and
- 23:09Speaker 1: it actually specifically banned KIM trails. And they said, see
- 23:14Speaker 1: they use the word kim trails is the government act.
- 23:18Speaker 1: It turns out it was not a bill that he
- 23:20Speaker 1: had written. It was written by UFO enthusiasts. And some
- 23:24Speaker 1: of the other things included in there that they wanted
- 23:26Speaker 1: banned were, uh, plasma weapons, psychotronic weapons, extra terrestrial weapons,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and climate weapons. Psychotronic weapons are real? Are they? I
- 23:37Speaker 1: believe so? Like remember the guy who went to Waco
- 23:40Speaker 1: and like was saying he could like play this jumbled
- 23:44Speaker 1: sound and it would drive everybody out of the house.
- 23:47Speaker 1: And FBI said, well, what happens if it doesn't work?
- 23:49Speaker 1: And he said, they'll probably just slid each other's throats weapons. No,
- 23:54Speaker 1: but it's what he had. The technology he created was real. Okay.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Apparently the story behind this is Cassina didn't read the
- 24:01Speaker 1: bill fully before he endorsed it, and then afterward he
- 24:05Speaker 1: read it and said, uh, jeez, here we go. He
- 24:08Speaker 1: rewrote it. Uh, and then the bill died then dropped
- 24:12Speaker 1: in two thousand two, even after it was rewritten to
- 24:15Speaker 1: omit all of the uh plasma weapons. Yeah, the gobbledy
- 24:19Speaker 1: cook that's crazy. Wow. I think that's a great piece
- 24:24Speaker 1: of history. Well, yeah, I do remember we talked about
- 24:26Speaker 1: how contrails, whether their contrails, chemtrails, whatever, they seem to
- 24:30Speaker 1: have um a very pronounced effect. You came across something,
- 24:34Speaker 1: um at September eleven two one climate study. Yeah, that
- 24:38Speaker 1: was I remember. They did study something because it's a
- 24:42Speaker 1: really rare thing to not have any planes for a
- 24:44Speaker 1: few days. Exactly, for three days, all air traffic in
- 24:47Speaker 1: the United States was grounded. Yeah, and there was for
- 24:51Speaker 1: for the first time since the history of the invention
- 24:54Speaker 1: of the plane. Yeah, that's what I mean by exactly
- 24:57Speaker 1: three straight days where there were no planes in this guy.
- 24:59Speaker 1: So UM, a couple of people scrambled to um study
- 25:04Speaker 1: any effects that happened, and uh they found that there
- 25:08Speaker 1: they there was a diurnal temperature change, right. Um, well,
- 25:15Speaker 1: it's the temperature difference between day and night and a
- 25:17Speaker 1: single day. Um. They they observed at one point eight
- 25:22Speaker 1: degree change from the other days the other three days
- 25:27Speaker 1: sorry um, from the three days leading up to the
- 25:29Speaker 1: eleventh and the three days following the fourteen. So that's
- 25:33Speaker 1: pretty substantial in thirty years they had ever recorded, so
- 25:38Speaker 1: that the contrails are real and they do have an effect.
- 25:45Speaker 1: We just need to get rid of air travel. My
- 25:48Speaker 1: deal when it comes and I said I wasn't gonna
- 25:50Speaker 1: do this in here I go. My deal when it
- 25:52Speaker 1: comes to any like conspiracy that's this vast and widespread
- 25:57Speaker 1: where the airline industry is in on it, and the
- 26:00Speaker 1: dudes on the ground and that work for Delta are
- 26:03Speaker 1: you know and on this it's just it's so has
- 26:06Speaker 1: to be so vast that uh, there would be some
- 26:10Speaker 1: kind of proof and there's no evidence that I never
- 26:14Speaker 1: have not found any single person that's ever come out
- 26:16Speaker 1: and say, you know what, I was a part of
- 26:17Speaker 1: this program. Now I can't remember what that's called. Where
- 26:20Speaker 1: like the absence of evidence is evidence itself, But yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 1: in this case, I would say that that's pretty strong.
- 26:26Speaker 1: And one of the other things that Kim trailers will
- 26:30Speaker 1: say is or or people that don't believe it will say, is, well,
- 26:35Speaker 1: why are they doing this out in full view, like
- 26:38Speaker 1: where everyone can see it, and they go exactly, of
- 26:44Speaker 1: course they're going to do it in front of pull
- 26:45Speaker 1: of you because any won't suspect anything. Well, the irony
- 26:48Speaker 1: is that, um, there are chemicals that can be added
- 26:52Speaker 1: to the jets exhaust, but not to create chem trails,
- 26:58Speaker 1: but to keep contrails from forming. Really, yeah, the original
- 27:02Speaker 1: stealth bomber um had this extra option to make it stealth. Yes,
- 27:09Speaker 1: that makes sense. They figured out, No, you can just
- 27:11Speaker 1: fly at a different altitude, stay away from wet areas,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and our pilots know what they're doing, so they don't
- 27:16Speaker 1: even use it or they didn't use it. But there's
- 27:19Speaker 1: your irony right there for the episode. Well, and then
- 27:22Speaker 1: the one of the guys on the Discovery show said,
- 27:24Speaker 1: you can't add aluminum to jet fuel, like the plane
- 27:27Speaker 1: wouldn't run, Like it wouldn't be able to handle that.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Why are why are these fish not running my outboard motor? Right?
- 27:36Speaker 1: And finally for me at least, Uh, the Rise and
- 27:40Speaker 1: the Kim Trail conspiracy, although it had been around for
- 27:43Speaker 1: a little while, really gained steam they say in two thousand,
- 27:49Speaker 1: sort of coinciding with the massive pickup of of Internet,
- 27:54Speaker 1: and not just that this stuff change to the millennium.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I think everybody was really paranoid in like the decade
- 27:59Speaker 1: leading up to that. I think about one of the
- 28:01Speaker 1: number one shows of that decade, X Files. I love
- 28:06Speaker 1: that show. This lady on the on the Best Evident
- 28:09Speaker 1: show sent all these pictures of different Kim trails to
- 28:13Speaker 1: one of the atmospheric researchers and she said, to see here,
- 28:16Speaker 1: how this has become a sudden burst of a cloud.
- 28:19Speaker 1: And this one's uh, it had come from this Kim
- 28:22Speaker 1: trail and now it's a burst of a cloud. And
- 28:23Speaker 1: he went, now that's a cloud, and that's a Kim
- 28:26Speaker 1: trail that it intersects it or doesn't. Maybe it's off byet,
- 28:30Speaker 1: but it's like, that's just a cloud, and this is
- 28:33Speaker 1: this and this is that. And he explained every single picture.
- 28:37Speaker 1: He's like, think, weird things happen. He depending on how
- 28:40Speaker 1: high you are and how human it is, and how
- 28:43Speaker 1: the engine of the plane is running. He said, they're
- 28:45Speaker 1: gonna look different, and it's just easily explained. Chuck, Josh,
- 28:50Speaker 1: you should be very proud of yourself because you helped
- 28:54Speaker 1: take a two page, six hundred seven word article and
- 29:00Speaker 1: turn it into a thirty minute plus podcast. Much chaff,
- 29:05Speaker 1: So there you go without much silver needles. Hey you
- 29:08Speaker 1: were you were half of that. I was less than that.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You did good. So that's cam trails. If you want
- 29:15Speaker 1: to read this article, you can type in cam trails
- 29:18Speaker 1: C H E M T R A I L S
- 29:21Speaker 1: if you've got three and a half minutes to burn
- 29:23Speaker 1: right in the search bar. How stuff works dot com
- 29:26Speaker 1: And I said search bar. So it's time for listener mail, Josh,
- 29:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna call this. Uh, I've got my poop card.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I'm not afraid to use it. Oh, this is a
- 29:37Speaker 1: good one. You remember this is from Tina. Hi. Guys
- 29:40Speaker 1: just listened to how the digestive system works and loved it.
- 29:44Speaker 1: I've been waiting to have a cool reason to write
- 29:46Speaker 1: in once again one of those, but never felt like
- 29:49Speaker 1: I had any kind of expertise until you mentioned Crohn's disease.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I was diagnosed in two thousand eight had surgery to
- 29:55Speaker 1: remove a section of my small intestine. I had never
- 29:58Speaker 1: heard of the disease until the doc told me he
- 30:00Speaker 1: had removed fourteen centimeters of my intestine that have been
- 30:03Speaker 1: severely affected by it. I was glad you mentioned what
- 30:06Speaker 1: we're going through, and I can answer a question he raised.
- 30:09Speaker 1: I'm a member of the crones and Colitis Foundation of
- 30:12Speaker 1: America and they did send me a card that says
- 30:16Speaker 1: I can't wait and it's an all caps to which
- 30:19Speaker 1: I guess it is on the card and it explains
- 30:21Speaker 1: on the card that have a medical condition that requires
- 30:24Speaker 1: immediate need of the restroom. I keep it my wallet
- 30:27Speaker 1: and it's coming handy for all those emergencies. My boyfriend
- 30:30Speaker 1: thinks it's hilarious. I do too, actually, but it makes
- 30:33Speaker 1: me feel better having it around just in case. I'd
- 30:36Speaker 1: love to hear you read a part of this on
- 30:38Speaker 1: the podcast done. It would make me and my poor
- 30:42Speaker 1: crones infested shortened intestines so happy. And yes, I am
- 30:47Speaker 1: playing the sympathy card. And then it's Tina, I can't
- 30:51Speaker 1: wait card and asleep at the card. So there's a card.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeah it took you, Uh you did a portion? Was
- 30:58Speaker 1: that fourteen centimeters of her? You know? Is it proportion?
- 31:01Speaker 1: That's what she said. Yeah, what she asked, if we'd
- 31:04Speaker 1: read a portion of it got you? It wasn't that good? Like, um, okay, well,
- 31:11Speaker 1: if you have had a significant part of your body removed.
- 31:15Speaker 1: We'd like to hear about it. Um, you can tweet
- 31:17Speaker 1: it to us. If the part is a hundred and
