- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with I our Radio. Hello, everyone, welcome to the Almost
- 0:09Speaker 1: Homous podcast. Today. It is me and it is not
- 0:12Speaker 1: Ben Higgins. He's on some crazy governmental experiment, not experiment.
- 0:20Speaker 1: He's doing something really good in South I think in
- 0:22Speaker 1: South or Central America. The man is always doing something interesting.
- 0:27Speaker 1: But I have somebody else, very interesting, very wonderful, and
- 0:31Speaker 1: honestly quite magical. Her name is Serene Russell joining me today.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Hey Serene, Hey, how are you good? How are you?
- 0:40Speaker 1: I say you're magical because the presence of you and
- 0:44Speaker 1: Brandon together in Paradise was something, it was a special thing.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I felt so good about you guys, just making it
- 0:53Speaker 1: all the way because there is just some effortless beauty
- 0:59Speaker 1: of your love. How is it going going good? It's
- 1:03Speaker 1: been good finally getting used to San Diego and just
- 1:07Speaker 1: trying to settle in together. Okay, gotcha. It's a weird time,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know, kind of like coming together in a new
- 1:14Speaker 1: place or both of you right right right, and then
- 1:17Speaker 1: we you know, moved in, but like I had to
- 1:19Speaker 1: be hidden for a bit and so just with like
- 1:22Speaker 1: everything after the show and like both of us traveling
- 1:25Speaker 1: a lot, it's been like running around with our heads
- 1:27Speaker 1: cut off. I got I understand, I understand. So we
- 1:32Speaker 1: do want to go and get to know what's going
- 1:35Speaker 1: on with you guys, a little bit more in depth
- 1:37Speaker 1: than our in depth series. But today in this episode,
- 1:41Speaker 1: we have to focus on the finale. This finale I
- 1:44Speaker 1: was truly truly excited for. I think sometimes I don't know,
- 1:48Speaker 1: I guess that finales are kind of always exciting. I
- 1:50Speaker 1: don't know why I was particularly excited about this one.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I really didn't know where it was gonna go after
- 1:58Speaker 1: last week, because we left off with Gabby pretty upset,
- 2:03Speaker 1: and then I think, like you would think that Katie
- 2:06Speaker 1: would have a bit of hesitation even after that fantasy's
- 2:10Speaker 1: waiting talking through it and all that. So I was like, something,
- 2:14Speaker 1: some twisty thing is going to happen. I was actually
- 2:16Speaker 1: shocked that there wasn't really a twisty thing. I thought
- 2:19Speaker 1: that maybe Katie and him wouldn't be together, but it
- 2:22Speaker 1: was relatively predictable. Yeah, let's start the top with Ariel.
- 2:28Speaker 1: What was your take on the sit down with Ariel?
- 2:33Speaker 1: What did we learn we learned? I mean, I think
- 2:37Speaker 1: we already knew a woman has a beautiful vocabulary, so
- 2:42Speaker 1: jealousken like, oh, I mean she I expected her to
- 2:47Speaker 1: be great, but she's She literally is just so eloquent
- 2:52Speaker 1: everything she does, like the way she speaks, like her
- 2:55Speaker 1: brain Like I know, I'm just watching her in awe
- 2:59Speaker 1: and truthfully envy. I'm like, why can't I carry myself
- 3:03Speaker 1: with that? Why can't I articulate myself like that? She
- 3:08Speaker 1: is amazing? And I have to say, I think there
- 3:11Speaker 1: was a lot of people out there, including myself, that
- 3:15Speaker 1: was really missing her being the choice of bachelorette. What
- 3:19Speaker 1: do you think about that? Honestly, Like I am a
- 3:23Speaker 1: little surprised, just because I feel like so much happened
- 3:27Speaker 1: after you know, the Fantasy Suite, but like with Ariel especially,
- 3:33Speaker 1: like I don't know, like you never know, like you
- 3:37Speaker 1: know why anything happens the way it does. We got
- 3:42Speaker 1: to know her. I feel like a lot better than Charity.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah up, like getting it to be just feeling more
- 3:48Speaker 1: attached to her, rooting for her a little bit more,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I think a lot because of the way she carried
- 3:53Speaker 1: herself daring Fantasy Sweet Week. Yeah, yeah that too, And
- 3:58Speaker 1: I mean I was surprised too about Gabby, Like just
- 4:01Speaker 1: watching well, there's just a lot and I feel like
- 4:06Speaker 1: I feel like recently and maybe it's just because something
- 4:09Speaker 1: crazy has happened, like every season, but usually it's you
- 4:14Speaker 1: know someone that something really awful has happened to or
- 4:18Speaker 1: you know their experience, and I feel like after a
- 4:21Speaker 1: certain point that's more common. And so I was, I
- 4:24Speaker 1: was a little shocked. Yeah, right, like all three of
- 4:26Speaker 1: them would be great. But I know, I know this
- 4:29Speaker 1: isn't not to put down Charity as choice at all.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I just feel like the audience really got bonded to
- 4:39Speaker 1: Ariel and especially Gabby after last night, and we are
- 4:43Speaker 1: very invested in their personal journey now where Charity like
- 4:48Speaker 1: we know that she's a sweet girl, but we didn't
- 4:51Speaker 1: really feel like a lot of heartbreak from her. Yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 1: like with Gabby and now I know how they usually
- 4:57Speaker 1: think of the runner up becoming bachelorette, and that is like, well,
- 5:00Speaker 1: it's kind of a spoiler if the runner up because
- 5:04Speaker 1: it becomes because like we saw, they've already filmed Night one.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I bet you through a couple of weeks right now,
- 5:10Speaker 1: so we'd be like, can we know if Gabby were
- 5:13Speaker 1: the bachelorette, so be a huge spoiler to everyone, and
- 5:16Speaker 1: they also used to say that like they couldn't have
- 5:19Speaker 1: the runner uppy Bachelorette because the feelings were too exactly,
- 5:24Speaker 1: the feelings were too fresh, and Gabby did truly seem
- 5:27Speaker 1: currently still very affected and not over it. That was
- 5:31Speaker 1: exactly what I thought. Yeah, she's just a little too
- 5:35Speaker 1: like her still, like I think for that, but still
- 5:40Speaker 1: wanted to see it, you know, crazy. But I was
- 5:43Speaker 1: watching my sister and she was like, I just think
- 5:45Speaker 1: that they want her to be Queen in Paradise, so
- 5:50Speaker 1: we'll see it. Do you have inside scoop? No, No,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I know nothing. I was okay, all right, well let's
- 5:58Speaker 1: go back to Ariel for a second. The big thing
- 6:01Speaker 1: that had to be a dressed between Ariel and Zach
- 6:04Speaker 1: was the fact that she was never told that he
- 6:09Speaker 1: slept with Gabby. Like he goes and he tells Katie
- 6:12Speaker 1: right away and makes a big stink out of it,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and we're all like, dude, what are you doing. You're
- 6:17Speaker 1: telling Gabby that you're gonna go and tell people. But
- 6:21Speaker 1: then he really just went and told Katie, which makes
- 6:24Speaker 1: us all wonder or like, oh, okay, that's because you
- 6:27Speaker 1: gotta pick. You're gonna pick Katie right, and you want
- 6:30Speaker 1: to be like open and honest and you don't want
- 6:31Speaker 1: to get any skeletons out once the diamond rang is
- 6:34Speaker 1: already on her finger. And it's pretty evident that's what
- 6:38Speaker 1: he did, because if you just wanted to be open
- 6:40Speaker 1: and honest in what she said was basically like three
- 6:43Speaker 1: open relationships, he would have come to her and told
- 6:46Speaker 1: her as well. No, I absolutely agree, And that was
- 6:50Speaker 1: part of what I thought was so interesting is I
- 6:52Speaker 1: believe when he sat down with Gabby to let her know, Hey,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think I should tell the other girls. He didn't say, oh,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm just gonna, you know, tell one other person or
- 7:04Speaker 1: something like. It sounded like he was going to tell Ariel.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And at first I was like, did we just not
- 7:09Speaker 1: see it? Like yeah, right, because I would think it's
- 7:14Speaker 1: definitely a scene that they could have done without and
- 7:17Speaker 1: then they aired it online or something like that. Just
- 7:21Speaker 1: be like, guys O bachelination, just letting you know he
- 7:24Speaker 1: did go do it. Here it is we just didn't
- 7:26Speaker 1: fit it in because she was got eliminated. But he
- 7:29Speaker 1: didn't do it, and it's not a great look. Yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I gets, Yeah, it's not I remember as soon as
- 7:38Speaker 1: I saw that, I was like, this can't be like
- 7:42Speaker 1: this simple because it feels very obvious at that point. Yeah,
- 7:46Speaker 1: I mean, yes, yes, And then Ariel posted an Instagram
- 7:51Speaker 1: reel or a TikTok this week saying that the first
- 7:54Speaker 1: time she heard of any of this, yes, the whole
- 7:58Speaker 1: this is she said, the first time I heard that
- 8:03Speaker 1: he slept with anyone else was on TV, and she's
- 8:09Speaker 1: just like walking, Yep, yeah, I would have been I
- 8:13Speaker 1: don't know, I would have been pretty upset. And she's right,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I mean to go home at that point they I
- 8:22Speaker 1: feel like there was a lot of confusion, and then
- 8:24Speaker 1: to see that after the fact, like I feel like
- 8:27Speaker 1: that's the sucky part is like you go home and
- 8:29Speaker 1: you take the time to yell, and then you watch
- 8:31Speaker 1: it and you see things that you didn't see the
- 8:33Speaker 1: first time. I know. One of the biggest moments for
- 8:40Speaker 1: her that was like a yes girl, was when she said,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you took away Zach my choice in the conversation, Like
- 8:49Speaker 1: you just said, off the table, we're not having sex.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You took away my choice in that whole issue, not
- 8:57Speaker 1: even knowing that. I would have told you I didn't
- 9:01Speaker 1: want to do that either, So of course she's bringing
- 9:04Speaker 1: up two things. Well, she's bringing up one big thing,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and that is like, you just think that you're like
- 9:13Speaker 1: the master decision maker in our relationship. Yeah, and that
- 9:17Speaker 1: was I think that that was kind of like the
- 9:20Speaker 1: gross element of last week with Zach, where it was like, oh,
- 9:24Speaker 1: he's he just think that he's because he's the bachelor,
- 9:27Speaker 1: he's now like decision maker of each relationship. Do you
- 9:30Speaker 1: remember I think it was Gabby. Do you remember what
- 9:33Speaker 1: Gabby said in that moment? What did she say? I
- 9:36Speaker 1: think whenever he sat her down for her date, like
- 9:39Speaker 1: it skipped to an interview clip of her being like,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I don't know that I would want to get engaged
- 9:44Speaker 1: to someone having not like at that moment, and so
- 9:47Speaker 1: it was just interesting because they do it is like
- 9:51Speaker 1: I'm the bachelor, like this is you know, my decision,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and then you realize there's so many people like I
- 9:59Speaker 1: don't know. It's so messy. It is so messy. Anyway,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I think it was interesting to hear that Ariel was like, well,
- 10:06Speaker 1: if you don't want to just talk to me about it,
- 10:08Speaker 1: like it had a conversation about it. He would have
- 10:11Speaker 1: realized that I was on the same page as him
- 10:12Speaker 1: and then maybe like we could have like bonded over that, right, Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but she also didn't give him that satisfaction by telling him,
- 10:21Speaker 1: you know, in the fantasy suite, Oh guess what, me too? No,
- 10:25Speaker 1: And then I thought it was I thought it was
- 10:27Speaker 1: really cool too. How she at the end of it
- 10:29Speaker 1: was like, you know what, like we did have good
- 10:31Speaker 1: memories too, you know, I don't want to reduce it
- 10:35Speaker 1: all to this moment. But she also like she held
- 10:40Speaker 1: her own but then was still so kind at the
- 10:42Speaker 1: same time. She was she was like, I don't want
- 10:44Speaker 1: to be railed on. Yeah, She's like, I don't need
- 10:46Speaker 1: to make this worst for you. Yeah. Yeah, it was nice.
- 10:49Speaker 1: She said what she needed to say, satisfied herself and
- 10:53Speaker 1: the audience, and then she was just like yeah, She's like,
- 10:58Speaker 1: all right, poor you probably have bigger issues to deal
- 11:01Speaker 1: with later in this episode. Okay, so let's move on
- 11:06Speaker 1: to like the in Thailand part. We have the girls
- 11:12Speaker 1: meeting Zach's family. I love Zach's family. They're wonderful. They
- 11:17Speaker 1: made him more attractive as a package to me. Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know, his relationship with his mom and then his
- 11:24Speaker 1: sister's like they have they all have the same face like, yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: it is so funny. Yeah, but his family did seem
- 11:33Speaker 1: really cool, Like they just seemed really sweet but really warm, funny,
- 11:38Speaker 1: very down to earth, like I just liked their vibes. Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So both girls end up telling him afterward it was like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: after meeting your family, I could confidently say I'm in
- 11:50Speaker 1: love with you, which is really sweet. And both of
- 11:52Speaker 1: them felt very much a kinship to his sisters, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: it was about what the sisters felt toward him that
- 11:59Speaker 1: really got their heart strings. Yeah, no, it was it
- 12:04Speaker 1: was such a like I remember watching Gabby meet the
- 12:08Speaker 1: family and how she was talking with the sisters and
- 12:11Speaker 1: then Katie, and it was like, usually there's like I
- 12:14Speaker 1: feel like there's more of an outlier with the family too.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Oh for sure, Well with both you know, that made
- 12:20Speaker 1: me even more torn. So I went into this episode
- 12:22Speaker 1: thinking he was going to be Katie, and throughout this
- 12:25Speaker 1: episode they kept giving me little inkluings that it could
- 12:29Speaker 1: be Gabby. So that's why I really loved this episode
- 12:32Speaker 1: and kept me interested throughout the entire time. With Gabby,
- 12:38Speaker 1: his dad talked about how he basically like barely made
- 12:41Speaker 1: it out of the hospital as a baby, it's so sad.
- 12:45Speaker 1: That's crazy, you know, it's just do you think that
- 12:47Speaker 1: that's kind of something he would talk to her about?
- 12:49Speaker 1: But I mean, you know it's it's when he was
- 12:52Speaker 1: zero years old. Yeah, and with Katie, is there like
- 12:59Speaker 1: a moment that you were like, oh my, oh yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I know he in the moment that Katie that Katie had,
- 13:04Speaker 1: she was just kind of crying with him, That's what
- 13:06Speaker 1: I was about to say. And the dad and she
- 13:09Speaker 1: just couldn't stop crying. And it was very sweet, I know,
- 13:14Speaker 1: emotional because of like the relationship that she never had,
- 13:17Speaker 1: like a dad figure, and she could see his dad
- 13:21Speaker 1: being part of, you know, the circle of men in
- 13:24Speaker 1: her life. She's really nice. And then her mom, his mom.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I felt like, really there was something so comforting about
- 13:33Speaker 1: his mom that she was able to just kind of
- 13:37Speaker 1: be emotional and just be very comfortable with both of them. No,
- 13:43Speaker 1: they both seemed like really good fits. And that's I
- 13:47Speaker 1: remember seeing his family in that date super early on
- 13:50Speaker 1: in the season and thinking like I would be so
- 13:52Speaker 1: intimidated like going on a date with the family that
- 13:56Speaker 1: really but they were just so nice. But I don't know,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I think when Gabby was talking to his sisters, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: it was like the way that I love your brother. Like.
- 14:06Speaker 1: She wasn't saying like how she's like falling in love
- 14:08Speaker 1: like she was like, oh the things I love about
- 14:11Speaker 1: him And you could just tell like in those moments.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And that was crazy too, because right before that date,
- 14:17Speaker 1: it was like, oh, is she even gonna go? Is
- 14:21Speaker 1: she even gonna go on the date? Oh? Right, yeah
- 14:23Speaker 1: yeah with Gabby. Um yeah, I mean I figured she would. Yeah,
- 14:31Speaker 1: but thank you for bringing up that conversation because she
- 14:34Speaker 1: had to address that be like just letting you know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: at the end of a last row ceremony, you basically
- 14:41Speaker 1: weren't looking at me. That was crazy. Yeah, And we
- 14:44Speaker 1: know that when Zack's not looking at somebody that he's
- 14:47Speaker 1: like pretty much over it. Yeah. So it was actually, Um,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I was actually surprised to see him make a turn
- 14:55Speaker 1: where it seemed like he was uncomfortable with somebody, but
- 14:57Speaker 1: he kept pushing through, and especially in that conversation, she
- 15:02Speaker 1: says to him, I want you to like I felt
- 15:05Speaker 1: like I was wearing a scarlet letter, but I don't
- 15:07Speaker 1: want you. I don't want to be like the object
- 15:11Speaker 1: that makes you like what was It just makes me
- 15:15Speaker 1: she said something about she didn't want to be the
- 15:18Speaker 1: reason for his pain. His pain, Yeah, like I don't
- 15:20Speaker 1: want to be like standing in the way, Like I
- 15:22Speaker 1: don't want you to feel Oh here she said an
- 15:25Speaker 1: accessory in the crime, Yes, which is such good. That's
- 15:29Speaker 1: just such a good way of putting it. Yeah. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: her in her saying that she felt like she was
- 15:35Speaker 1: in the scarlet letter like I can't I can't imagine that. Yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: she definitely handled herself very well there, and I was
- 15:46Speaker 1: so pleasantly surprised that he took it so well. That
- 15:51Speaker 1: was a moment to me where I was like, oh,
- 15:53Speaker 1: he really does love her, because it was the first
- 15:55Speaker 1: time that there was and I'm sure it happened and
- 15:58Speaker 1: we didn't maybe see it, but it was the first
- 16:00Speaker 1: time that there was a serious conversation with the girl
- 16:03Speaker 1: is addressing an issue that she had in his actions,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and he was like, oh, like what's let's find um,
- 16:12Speaker 1: let's let's let's talk this out. So that was another
- 16:16Speaker 1: sign where I was like, ah, Gabby, I think he
- 16:18Speaker 1: loves Gabby, but I really do think he loved both.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I do think that he was one of the situations
- 16:22Speaker 1: where it's like the bachelor loved both of them, and
- 16:24Speaker 1: he had to pick just one of the ones that
- 16:28Speaker 1: he loved the most. Absolutely right. He didn't make this
- 16:35Speaker 1: say did He said what he said the one that
- 16:37Speaker 1: he loved the most. And it just made me laugh
- 16:39Speaker 1: a little bit because because of Kelly Clayton season Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 1: So now it's time for Zach and Katie to go
- 16:57Speaker 1: on their last date. My sister and I were wondering
- 17:00Speaker 1: watching it, why we went from Katie's meeting the family
- 17:04Speaker 1: to Katie's first date, and why Katie's date was so short,
- 17:09Speaker 1: so short. They walked to a waterfall and that was it,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and then it was the nighttime and they sat on
- 17:15Speaker 1: a couch together and it was like three minutes and
- 17:18Speaker 1: that was it. I was thinking that perhaps they were
- 17:22Speaker 1: trying to get us to think that Gabby. Well, okay,
- 17:26Speaker 1: there's two things. One they could have wanted us to
- 17:28Speaker 1: get more attached to Gabby so we felt the heartbreak
- 17:31Speaker 1: more at the end, or they wanted us to believe
- 17:35Speaker 1: that Gabby could have been the choice more. What do
- 17:38Speaker 1: you think did you notice the shortness of the date
- 17:40Speaker 1: and the fact that we didn't really I didn't feel
- 17:43Speaker 1: anything there. I'm not saying that there wasn't like love
- 17:45Speaker 1: there AND's like we didn't There was no like grandios
- 17:48Speaker 1: moment where I was like, ah, magic, No, I did notice,
- 17:52Speaker 1: but I was more caught up on the fact that
- 17:54Speaker 1: Gabby want the family first and then her date was
- 17:57Speaker 1: after Katie Yeah, and I was like, wait, are they
- 18:01Speaker 1: not doing it the same day? Well, do you think
- 18:05Speaker 1: that possibly it was just edited differently so that yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we don't know what the order was.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Oh no, it seemed like Katie was second to meet
- 18:15Speaker 1: the family, right, so it was like, yeah, Kaby Gabby, Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: but we don't know the order of the actual date elements. Yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 1: for sure. And it was definitely and they're definitely not
- 18:27Speaker 1: on the same day. All though I knew was leaving
- 18:30Speaker 1: those solo dates. I was like, please lock this man
- 18:33Speaker 1: in a room for twenty four hours just by himself
- 18:37Speaker 1: and let him figure this out, because he needed to
- 18:40Speaker 1: figure out who he was thinking of the most, who
- 18:44Speaker 1: he was missing the most. Yeah. I really don't know
- 18:46Speaker 1: that he knew, but I don't know. I think I
- 18:50Speaker 1: was in Gabby's shoes. I think Gabby was like, there's
- 18:54Speaker 1: so many signs that say it could be being like,
- 18:56Speaker 1: but my gut keeps telling me it's not me. It's
- 18:59Speaker 1: not me, it's not me. And that's what I was feeling.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I was like, there are so many signs saying that
- 19:04Speaker 1: it could be her, but something is telling me that
- 19:07Speaker 1: he's going to pick Katie. Yeah. And then there was
- 19:09Speaker 1: that whole block of time which you're watching on the
- 19:12Speaker 1: West Coast. Did you have sound? Yes? During the date? Okay, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 1: we missed ten minutes. I don't know what happened during
- 19:21Speaker 1: Gabby's date. During Gabby's date, so I feel like, I
- 19:24Speaker 1: mean kind of the same thing that happened on Katie's date,
- 19:27Speaker 1: because Katie got a little freaked out too, didn't she
- 19:30Speaker 1: just a little yeah on her date. Yeah, so Gabby
- 19:34Speaker 1: got really like freaked out because well, I got the
- 19:36Speaker 1: beach part. I got that beach part, I sit down
- 19:38Speaker 1: beach part. It was them like actually riding the horses
- 19:41Speaker 1: and stuff, which seemed kind of like filler content. Yeah,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I don't, I don't remember exactly. Okay, it was totally
- 19:48Speaker 1: inconsequential and good thing that that was the part that
- 19:50Speaker 1: didn't have sound. Okay, yeah, yeah, all right, Well, so yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 1: not to skip over Katie's date. I just don't think
- 19:57Speaker 1: there was much to talk about. She was worried, she said, like,
- 20:01Speaker 1: it's just awkward there. They can't exactly have the most
- 20:04Speaker 1: fun when you're so worried about what's to come, right, No,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I know, And I felt like both of the dates
- 20:12Speaker 1: were that way. And I remember sitting there like, okay,
- 20:15Speaker 1: both of them are freaked out now, like both of
- 20:18Speaker 1: them have no idea, And he was even more confused.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I do believe he was confused because with the whole
- 20:26Speaker 1: thing that happened last week, why would he like risk
- 20:31Speaker 1: hurting Katie for someone if it wasn't like almost that's
- 20:36Speaker 1: kept going back to, you know, So maybe he really
- 20:41Speaker 1: didn't know. I don't know. We we definitely in our heads,
- 20:45Speaker 1: just like Gabby. We're like, well, why would he tell
- 20:50Speaker 1: Katie if he knew he was gonna pick Gabby? So
- 20:53Speaker 1: that is having us one be like all right, Katie's
- 20:56Speaker 1: to the front runner, or two he's truly torn. But
- 21:01Speaker 1: in no situation are we thinking that Gabby is number one? Right?
- 21:05Speaker 1: And Gabby herself is definitely not thinking she's number one.
- 21:08Speaker 1: She keeps talking about the gut feeling, the feeling of
- 21:11Speaker 1: second place, and then while sitting on the beach, he goes,
- 21:17Speaker 1: You're not gonna want to hear this, but I really
- 21:23Speaker 1: don't know who I'm gonna pick, and that whacks her out,
- 21:28Speaker 1: and it would, of course it would. Yeah, he's kind
- 21:31Speaker 1: of like just chilling. He's like just letting you know,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I have two great living to choose from. I don't
- 21:36Speaker 1: know who I'm gonna pick. They've had some rough conversations
- 21:40Speaker 1: looking out at the water on the beach. She's probably
- 21:44Speaker 1: got like PTSD from that. No, you know, did you
- 21:49Speaker 1: have like what was your initial reaction while hearing him
- 21:51Speaker 1: say that. I mean my mouth was just open because
- 21:56Speaker 1: I'm like, you're not doing anything but scaring her. But
- 22:01Speaker 1: is it better for her to be scared than to
- 22:03Speaker 1: be totally shocked when it happened, he doesn't pick her.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what's but honestly, like,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I don't know what I would want in that situation.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Probably did not know. I don't know, I don't know.
- 22:18Speaker 1: It definitely ruins the moment. Yeah, I know, if you
- 22:22Speaker 1: want to rest the day to go, well, you don't
- 22:25Speaker 1: say that. And if you want to be I guess
- 22:29Speaker 1: ridiculously honest and prepare her for I want to string
- 22:35Speaker 1: anyone along. And so he said, hey, no promises, you're
- 22:38Speaker 1: the top two, but I don't know. Oh so crazy,
- 22:42Speaker 1: And then she rebound This girl goods. Dude does a
- 22:45Speaker 1: great job at rebounding because then at the end of
- 22:48Speaker 1: the night she's fine, and she's sort of fine. It's
- 22:51Speaker 1: kind of like a reiteration of it though. It's kind
- 22:54Speaker 1: of a reiteration of their conversation where she's like, I
- 22:58Speaker 1: know that you need to make the decision. He's like,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I wish I knew what the decision was going to be.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It's so hard to figure this out. Um. He says
- 23:09Speaker 1: he's so torn. The first time in his life he
- 23:12Speaker 1: doesn't have a decisive feeling and we know that he
- 23:15Speaker 1: is a decisive man. Um, And he just says it, like,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you know, I'm taking this very seriously. Yes, yes, but
- 23:26Speaker 1: he's like, yeah, we know, we know. It's just so
- 23:29Speaker 1: it's he said I can't make He's like, he said
- 23:32Speaker 1: something about like I can't make that decision until I've
- 23:35Speaker 1: like felt every moment or something like that, which is
- 23:38Speaker 1: why I was like clock this then in a room.
- 23:41Speaker 1: But then he's like, not having any moments. In my
- 23:44Speaker 1: opinion was it he's not having any moments because he
- 23:47Speaker 1: keeps talking about like because he out, yeah, yeah, there's
- 23:53Speaker 1: your last date. I mean Katie, Katie's fantasy sweet date
- 23:56Speaker 1: was all about what he wanted to tell her and
- 23:59Speaker 1: not like a normal date moment until maybe later like
- 24:02Speaker 1: what we saw. So it's like, gosh, well, you know,
- 24:09Speaker 1: we have to admit that there's plenty of other conversations
- 24:12Speaker 1: going on, and these are the conversations that they're choosing
- 24:14Speaker 1: to show us. So these dates were hours and hours long,
- 24:20Speaker 1: and these are like the fifteen twenty minutes that we're getting,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and this is all about the decision, and it's a
- 24:25Speaker 1: great TV. Gotta say, it's a great TV, all right.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Then they bring Sean and Katherine out, and I've got
- 24:30Speaker 1: to say I am not a fan of their new
- 24:33Speaker 1: school way of doing this, where like a finale will
- 24:35Speaker 1: be three hours long and it's like partially live and
- 24:38Speaker 1: then partially you know, throwing it back to wherever they were.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Next up, we see Sean and Catherine's basically just filler content.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Sean is like giving shade about all of Sach's decisions,
- 24:54Speaker 1: or like you gave a lot of advice. How do
- 24:56Speaker 1: you feel about the way that Zach implemented this advice
- 25:00Speaker 1: and like Sean keeps saying, well, he sucked taking advice
- 25:05Speaker 1: the way I was intending for him to take it.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And then you know, Katherine is sweet Katherine, and and
- 25:12Speaker 1: then you know, and Sean is snark snarky Sean. They
- 25:16Speaker 1: don't really there's not much. There's not much here and yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: definitely just like filler because they've wanted Zach season to
- 25:23Speaker 1: be modeled after a Sean season. This is just like
- 25:26Speaker 1: the full circle moment. Yeah, it's like all the facetimes
- 25:31Speaker 1: led to this and hopefully this I know, hopefully like this,
- 25:38Speaker 1: this bachelor couple will be the only bachelor couple since
- 25:44Speaker 1: Sean that will stay together, like the final pick will
- 25:47Speaker 1: stay together, and like that's that's their hope and intention. Yeah,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I know because Ari, although he's with Lauren, it was
- 25:52Speaker 1: not his final pick on the TV show. No, that's
- 25:55Speaker 1: actually crazy to think about. It is crazy, especially since
- 25:59Speaker 1: we have lenty of bachelorettes who are married to their
- 26:02Speaker 1: just hasn't even been a proposal in so long, I know,
- 26:06Speaker 1: And that was exciting too to see it in Um
- 26:10Speaker 1: so we haven't had a proposal. But what was so
- 26:14Speaker 1: exciting was at an expense for Gabby's heart, seeing both
- 26:21Speaker 1: girls come out of a car and walk down the
- 26:23Speaker 1: little aisle up to the podium and see it's horrible
- 26:28Speaker 1: to say, one person to get rejected in one person
- 26:30Speaker 1: to win in the traditional sense of the show, just
- 26:33Speaker 1: because it hasn't happened like that in a long time.
- 26:36Speaker 1: And I do think it builds your emotion as a viewer.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You feel worse for loses and you feel better for
- 26:44Speaker 1: the person who gets who wins. It's just good for
- 26:47Speaker 1: the viewers, but awful for the people involved. No, absolutely,
- 26:51Speaker 1: it broke my heart when she was like stop, please stop.
- 26:55Speaker 1: I know, I like saying everything I was thinking. It
- 26:57Speaker 1: would just like stop talking, see me like a warning.
- 27:02Speaker 1: What you're going to see is very sad. You see
- 27:08Speaker 1: when she got out of the car, what she said,
- 27:11Speaker 1: she was like, yeah, let's talk about this. Are we
- 27:13Speaker 1: are we here yet? Yeah? I guess we're here yet,
- 27:16Speaker 1: We're here? Yes? She was like, all right, what is
- 27:19Speaker 1: the car gets out of the car and she gets
- 27:21Speaker 1: muddy it. Don't let Katie when it actually matters when
- 27:25Speaker 1: Katie gets here, Don't do that to her, it was
- 27:30Speaker 1: so sad. It was so sad. We thought that it
- 27:36Speaker 1: was Frank and Bitten for a second. You know what
- 27:39Speaker 1: Frank and Bitton means when they put the voice of
- 27:42Speaker 1: her saying that, like later, when she actually is like
- 27:46Speaker 1: gone and putting it over because you can't exactly see
- 27:49Speaker 1: her mouth in that situation because it's a far away shot,
- 27:52Speaker 1: We're like, oh, maybe they just put it in there
- 27:54Speaker 1: to show that she was so convinced in her gut
- 27:57Speaker 1: that it wasn't her. But after you see what actually unfolds,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you're like, oh, no, she definitely said that. When she's
- 28:03Speaker 1: walking it to Jesse and says it too, and he's yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 1: He's like, what are you expecting it? And she was like,
- 28:09Speaker 1: I already know what's going to happen. I just don't
- 28:11Speaker 1: want to admit it. Didn't it make you feel a
- 28:13Speaker 1: little bit better that she was prepared for it? Yeah?
- 28:17Speaker 1: Yeah I did. And I think she's just being honest
- 28:19Speaker 1: to how she felt. And I feel like sometimes we
- 28:21Speaker 1: see people in that position and they just like, don't
- 28:24Speaker 1: say it, you know. But I think just having a
- 28:29Speaker 1: peek into her mind made her a lot more relatable
- 28:32Speaker 1: because I feel like so much people would be thinking that,
- 28:34Speaker 1: you know, yeah, her doubt her insecurity made her really relatable. Yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 1: it's one of those things that makes you want her
- 28:41Speaker 1: to be bachelorette. So she walks down the aisle, walks
- 28:46Speaker 1: up to the podium for a second. As he's like
- 28:50Speaker 1: smiling and saying really nice things, I say to my sister,
- 28:53Speaker 1: Oh my god, what if they're faking us out? What
- 28:56Speaker 1: if like the first time in a long time, they're
- 29:00Speaker 1: going to put the proposal first and then they'll the
- 29:05Speaker 1: dumping second. And then I'm thinking that we're all gonna
- 29:08Speaker 1: be so surprised, and I had this glimmer of hope
- 29:12Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, I'm really rooting for it
- 29:13Speaker 1: to be Gabby as the pick. And that is not
- 29:16Speaker 1: how it went. And then when the conversation turned yes,
- 29:19Speaker 1: it was heartbreaking when she was just like, no, don't
- 29:22Speaker 1: want to hear it. Don't want to hear it because like,
- 29:23Speaker 1: and he was like, you deserve love, but you deserve
- 29:25Speaker 1: love from somebody that really like that'll pick you first
- 29:30Speaker 1: all and then he had to say pick you first,
- 29:33Speaker 1: like her whole thing is about being picked second. Uh,
- 29:38Speaker 1: And then you know he's thinking in his head. The
- 29:41Speaker 1: producers are gonna kill me if I don't go through
- 29:43Speaker 1: this entire speel. I gotta say my stuff. And she's like, no, no, no, no,
- 29:49Speaker 1: And I think we are all like, I think we
- 29:52Speaker 1: can all relate in that moment. We're like, yeah, we
- 29:53Speaker 1: don't need to hear your pleasantries. Okay, no, absolutely yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 1: and then you now she's like, you don't have to
- 30:00Speaker 1: walk me to the car. She gets in the car,
- 30:03Speaker 1: and she definitely ends up having one of those moments
- 30:05Speaker 1: where you know you're upset about one thing and then
- 30:08Speaker 1: you start thinking about like your entire past, and then
- 30:11Speaker 1: you're like sobbing and being like I am unlovable and
- 30:14Speaker 1: nobody will ever like me and nobody will ever pick me.
- 30:19Speaker 1: And she's just obviously you know, it's not just Zach
- 30:21Speaker 1: in that moment, and I'm like, oh, Gabby, come on,
- 30:24Speaker 1: come on, no, no no, no, this is She's like, I
- 30:28Speaker 1: want to know, like how I could have been better,
- 30:30Speaker 1: how it could have been me? What can I do?
- 30:33Speaker 1: I'm like, girl, no, no, no no, no, no, it's just
- 30:37Speaker 1: that there's somebody else that's a better fit for him.
- 30:41Speaker 1: You are perfect as you are. It's just a matter
- 30:44Speaker 1: of finding the perfect fit for you. I was like,
- 30:46Speaker 1: don't make this now, you not being enough? You are enough,
- 30:51Speaker 1: You are such a prize. No, and it sucks too because,
- 30:55Speaker 1: like in that moment, Zach was the last person she
- 30:57Speaker 1: wanted to hear that stuff from. Like She's like, I
- 31:00Speaker 1: don't want to know that you think I'm great? Like
- 31:01Speaker 1: I don't. Yeah, like you know, because it's easier to
- 31:04Speaker 1: believe that, Like these things you believe about yourself are
- 31:07Speaker 1: the reasons. But No, that was just it was so
- 31:14Speaker 1: sad to watch my hands are like on my face.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Can you remember the last time that you felt something
- 31:20Speaker 1: like that watching this show? Probably with Brandon's Honestly, sorry,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I was just gonna say I was literally in a
- 31:31Speaker 1: hair salon getting my hair done and I was watching it,
- 31:34Speaker 1: and I was like, oh my god, could you ever
- 31:38Speaker 1: imagine that would be your fiance? No, it would have
- 31:42Speaker 1: been weird to think, like sitting right there like seeing
- 31:45Speaker 1: into the future. Strange. I'm thinking years back right now,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and Brandon is the only other name in my head
- 31:53Speaker 1: that like that. Oh my gosh, poor guy. But look
- 32:00Speaker 1: what happened magic all right. So what I don't like
- 32:14Speaker 1: now is this this back and forth between the live
- 32:18Speaker 1: moments and the taped moments, because I really think that
- 32:21Speaker 1: what happens between Zach and Gabby on stage, just like
- 32:25Speaker 1: the fact that Gabby has, you know, twenty minutes on stage,
- 32:29Speaker 1: it takes away from the proposal to come because then
- 32:33Speaker 1: all of a sudden, it becomes a big Gabby show
- 32:37Speaker 1: and you're feeling really bad for her. You're very focused
- 32:42Speaker 1: on her pain and not focused on like the love
- 32:45Speaker 1: and the love right, so even when they flash to
- 32:50Speaker 1: the proposal moment, you're like, I'm not ready for this now,
- 32:54Speaker 1: like we're exactly which is why I need them to
- 32:59Speaker 1: go back to the regular format where we saw the
- 33:02Speaker 1: whole two hours of the tape show and then we
- 33:06Speaker 1: went to the finale. When was the last time it
- 33:08Speaker 1: was the live finale? A long time ago? Because I
- 33:11Speaker 1: think the first time that they did this format, I
- 33:15Speaker 1: want to say, was Colton season. Okay, I'm not one.
- 33:20Speaker 1: It's a bit about five years. Yeah, yeah, you probably
- 33:23Speaker 1: always did it this way and that just made you
- 33:26Speaker 1: be like, it made you, i don't know a little
- 33:33Speaker 1: bit more on pins and needles, and it just made
- 33:38Speaker 1: you feel it, feel it pure. It made it feel
- 33:41Speaker 1: it pure. Well because you're like seeing it all and
- 33:43Speaker 1: then like waiting to see like what happens. I always
- 33:47Speaker 1: think it's kind of like thinking of like if the
- 33:51Speaker 1: proposal did go first, it would like ruin the rest
- 33:53Speaker 1: of the day for the bachelor, I know, which is
- 33:56Speaker 1: obviously your happy moment, and then you have this like
- 33:59Speaker 1: awful moment having to break up with someone, and so
- 34:01Speaker 1: it's like, I wonder if it's kind of like the
- 34:03Speaker 1: same of course, yes, um, yeah, I guess, but like
- 34:09Speaker 1: you're able to feel like all the like sequential feelings,
- 34:12Speaker 1: and I guess you're able to feel like anyway with
- 34:16Speaker 1: this manner, maybe they's more sequential. It's actually more sequential
- 34:20Speaker 1: doing it like this. They don't want us to feel
- 34:22Speaker 1: like it's resolved, so we'll like want more from like
- 34:25Speaker 1: whatever pain we see. But we're like, oh, I want
- 34:28Speaker 1: to see this person like live out like their happiness,
- 34:31Speaker 1: like the person that gets really hurt. Maybe it's so
- 34:34Speaker 1: that you're like ready to see them like in another season. Somehow,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I don't know. No, you're right, I think I'm not
- 34:40Speaker 1: making sense now because I think the way that they
- 34:42Speaker 1: do it makes the most sense actually, but somehow also
- 34:47Speaker 1: bonds you more to the runner up which is why
- 34:49Speaker 1: it would be great. You're like setting up whoever's ups
- 34:52Speaker 1: next exactly if the runner up was the bachelorette, this
- 34:57Speaker 1: would be amazing. Then like you do this sad thing.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Why'd you make us sad for no reason? Yeah, they
- 35:03Speaker 1: make you really sad. And then they're like, Okay, now
- 35:06Speaker 1: you're the bachelorette. Then you're you're you're stepping into the
- 35:09Speaker 1: happy territory, and then we go on to the proposal
- 35:12Speaker 1: and it's all great, Yeah, maybe it's just a parad
- 35:15Speaker 1: We'll have like a paradise hope for Yeah, gotta have
- 35:19Speaker 1: a paradise helpe for Gabby. She will be princess first sand,
- 35:24Speaker 1: first foot on the sand in paradise. So before we
- 35:27Speaker 1: get into the proposal, Serene, we have to talk about
- 35:30Speaker 1: the actual conversation that happens between Zach and Gabby on
- 35:34Speaker 1: the stage. We knew it was going to be emotional. Um,
- 35:39Speaker 1: Gabby basically is the big there's called big drama lines,
- 35:43Speaker 1: one of which she said that it wasn't until watching
- 35:48Speaker 1: on live TV that she found out that he told
- 35:55Speaker 1: people other than I didn't know what that meant. Well, okay,
- 35:58Speaker 1: my sister and I rewa we couldn't figure it out.
- 36:01Speaker 1: He goes. She goes, I didn't know until last week
- 36:04Speaker 1: that you told everybody. And I was like, wait, what
- 36:09Speaker 1: do I have to go back and watch last week
- 36:12Speaker 1: scene where he came in and said, Hey, just letting
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know, like I'm gonna tell I'm gonna tell the girls,
- 36:17Speaker 1: because in that scene, I believe he said I'm gonna
- 36:22Speaker 1: tell the girls, right Yeau. She said that she was
- 36:26Speaker 1: very hurt that he that the whole nation knew, because
- 36:31Speaker 1: she was led to believe that maybe they wouldn't. Maybe
- 36:35Speaker 1: maybe she thought he meant he was gonna tell I
- 36:39Speaker 1: don't know, maybe privately, like in the fantasy suite or something,
- 36:43Speaker 1: because she yeah, she did say she felt like her
- 36:46Speaker 1: choice was taken away and like violated that like all
- 36:49Speaker 1: of America knew her business. Yeah, and it was like
- 36:54Speaker 1: I would be embarrassed as well, Like I know my
- 36:57Speaker 1: sister was like I wouldn't be embarrassed. You know, they
- 36:59Speaker 1: went to the fantasy sweets. It's assumed. Now, I go,
- 37:01Speaker 1: I feel like there's a total difference between it being
- 37:03Speaker 1: assumed and like everybody like just hearing hearing it that
- 37:07Speaker 1: had happened. Yeah, and she I think in that moment,
- 37:10Speaker 1: I was watching it with Brandon and we both looked
- 37:13Speaker 1: at each other like, oh my gosh. She was like,
- 37:15Speaker 1: I was brushing my teeth. You came up behind me.
- 37:18Speaker 1: That's my head. Yeah, and then you said this is
- 37:22Speaker 1: between us. This stays between us. And so it's like
- 37:27Speaker 1: she felt like blindsided, but because he went out of
- 37:30Speaker 1: his way to be like, hey, like, don't worry about this,
- 37:33Speaker 1: which that like made it so much worse. Right, So
- 37:37Speaker 1: that was Mike drop one and then Mike Drop two.
- 37:41Speaker 1: We didn't really I didn't really understand. So one was
- 37:44Speaker 1: that that night she was they were like, okay, between us,
- 37:48Speaker 1: we're not talking about this. So betrayal number one is
- 37:51Speaker 1: the fact that he goes tells the producers in an
- 37:54Speaker 1: interview obviously that they did sleep together, and then once
- 37:57Speaker 1: they find out, they're like, okay, well, now you need
- 38:00Speaker 1: to go to her because I'm assuming it. It was again,
- 38:04Speaker 1: we talk about it all the time. They're not going
- 38:07Speaker 1: to force you to do anything, but they will guide you.
- 38:10Speaker 1: And absolutely, I think in that moment the guilt got
- 38:15Speaker 1: to him. He said in interview he told some producer
- 38:19Speaker 1: he may have very well just like made the decision
- 38:22Speaker 1: and been like I have to I have to go
- 38:25Speaker 1: and tell Katie now. And then they're like, all right,
- 38:28Speaker 1: well then you're gonna have to go in the room
- 38:30Speaker 1: and tell Gabby that you're gonna tell Katie and then
- 38:34Speaker 1: like so that's just just like just awkward. Decision Number
- 38:37Speaker 1: one is that he like told somebody after the fantasy
- 38:41Speaker 1: suite about their private business. When he told Gabby in
- 38:45Speaker 1: the moment he wasn't going to do that. That betrayal
- 38:49Speaker 1: is big, you know it is. And I also felt
- 38:53Speaker 1: bad because I remember in that moment, I was like, well,
- 38:56Speaker 1: he's coming and smiling, so it looks like he's really
- 38:59Speaker 1: really really good news, Like he came after the date,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and so she's probably like, oh, this is either really
- 39:05Speaker 1: really good or really really bad. Yeah, but it looked
- 39:08Speaker 1: to be really good because he came up like laughing
- 39:11Speaker 1: and joking with her and stuff, so she was probably like, oh, like,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I'm I'm doing great, like probably the only one here. Yeah,
- 39:21Speaker 1: and one of those and one in those moments you're right,
- 39:24Speaker 1: so they're good or good or bad. So that's what
- 39:29Speaker 1: trail number one. And then but trail number two we
- 39:31Speaker 1: can't quite figure out because says Okay, I'm so glad
- 39:35Speaker 1: that you're confused, because we were really confused too. We
- 39:39Speaker 1: kept trying to come up with different interpretations of it.
- 39:41Speaker 1: And when she says, um, you told I didn't know
- 39:48Speaker 1: until last week that everybody knew. My thought the only
- 39:53Speaker 1: sense we can make out of it was that she
- 39:55Speaker 1: told that she expected him to tell Katie in the
- 40:00Speaker 1: fantasy suite in private. But then I wonder what did
- 40:05Speaker 1: she think that the cameras were doing in that room
- 40:08Speaker 1: when he told her? When he told her that the
- 40:11Speaker 1: intentions of telling Katie, maybe she just, you know, you
- 40:17Speaker 1: kind of forgets us here there. Yeah, maybe she was
- 40:21Speaker 1: just like, oh, you know, we're not in a fantasy suite,
- 40:23Speaker 1: so the cameras have to come with us everywhere. Yeah,
- 40:25Speaker 1: he's coming to tell me that we're getting engaged. Obviously,
- 40:30Speaker 1: the best point of action would have been like, yeah, okay,
- 40:34Speaker 1: you could tell Katie if Katie will one, if Katie
- 40:37Speaker 1: wants to know, which Katie didn't even want to know.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But two you could have told her in the privacy
- 40:43Speaker 1: of the fantasy suite and just not wrecked everything. If
- 40:46Speaker 1: you really needed to relieve your guilt of it and
- 40:49Speaker 1: her date wouldn't have been wasted, he exactly, Katie would have.
- 40:55Speaker 1: It just would have been so much more tasteful because
- 40:57Speaker 1: in that way he would have gotten rid of the guilt,
- 41:00Speaker 1: because that was everybody's thing. Was like, he sacrificed her
- 41:04Speaker 1: to feel better about himself and like to not and
- 41:06Speaker 1: it was such a selfish move. But at least if
- 41:09Speaker 1: he had told Katie in the privacy of fantasy suits,
- 41:12Speaker 1: it wouldn't have been this big thing where she was
- 41:15Speaker 1: wearing the scarlet letter because Katie, the only person that
- 41:19Speaker 1: he really needed to tell in his own psyche, would
- 41:22Speaker 1: have known the whole world quote quote the three million
- 41:26Speaker 1: people all it's the show. What wouldn't have had to
- 41:30Speaker 1: know exactly? No, I agree again, this is a TV
- 41:35Speaker 1: show and we all don't know how to navigate it perfectly.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You think, Hubert, you're doing the right thing in one moment,
- 41:42Speaker 1: and you're realizing as it's unfolding, you probably made a
- 41:44Speaker 1: huge mistake. I'm like, you didn't have to tell anyone anything.
- 41:49Speaker 1: He could have made that decision, and like you don't
- 41:52Speaker 1: have to explain yourself, you know. Yeah, all right, So
- 41:55Speaker 1: let's move on to the actual proposal. Now, do you
- 42:01Speaker 1: Katie looks beautiful. Um, everything is you know, his speech,
- 42:06Speaker 1: her speech is beautiful. He starts out strong until he
- 42:11Speaker 1: tries to do the twist, right, he has the twist line,
- 42:15Speaker 1: and every every bachelor must do the twist line to
- 42:17Speaker 1: throw them off to get that little disappointed reaction until
- 42:22Speaker 1: they flip it and be like, but Katie, you are
- 42:24Speaker 1: the one. So what happens is that instead of just
- 42:28Speaker 1: doing like the however, you know, it's usually like so
- 42:30Speaker 1: and so I love you so much. However, We've had
- 42:33Speaker 1: some struggles throughout the time. It's never been an a
- 42:35Speaker 1: DG journey. But I have got to say you're the one, right,
- 42:38Speaker 1: But sackos like this, Katie, I love so in love
- 42:45Speaker 1: with you lalla um. But I can no longer say
- 42:49Speaker 1: then I'm falling in love with you. With you, I
- 42:55Speaker 1: can now say that I am so in love with you.
- 42:58Speaker 1: This girl foe doubt and we all kind of freaked out.
- 43:02Speaker 1: That was too much, too much, absolutely ridiculous. I was like,
- 43:07Speaker 1: there's no way he's about to do like let her live,
- 43:10Speaker 1: let her have some peace now finally, And at first
- 43:14Speaker 1: one second, I was like, Oh, he's not gonna pick
- 43:17Speaker 1: either of these girls. That's a real twist. He's like,
- 43:21Speaker 1: actually I sent someone home of that. I can't stop
- 43:24Speaker 1: thinking about. Yeah, yeah, no, I think he freaked us
- 43:28Speaker 1: all out. Great. Great, the producers were so proud of
- 43:33Speaker 1: him though. They're so proud of him. And now we
- 43:46Speaker 1: go to Katie and Zach on stage in public as
- 43:51Speaker 1: a couple for the first time. They look good. It's good.
- 43:54Speaker 1: It's good stuff. You know, normally you look for the
- 43:57Speaker 1: bad body language, you look for the insecurity. I didn't
- 44:01Speaker 1: see it there. It seems like they're strong. No, I
- 44:03Speaker 1: didn't either. I felt like, like, right before it showed
- 44:07Speaker 1: Katie coming on stage, I was like, is he like
- 44:09Speaker 1: nervous or is he like sad? Like did something happen?
- 44:12Speaker 1: And then like his whole face just like ship. So
- 44:15Speaker 1: I think maybe he was just like excited, like thinking okay,
- 44:18Speaker 1: like literally in a couple of minutes were we're going public. Yeah,
- 44:22Speaker 1: could be. It was really cute. It was cute. I
- 44:24Speaker 1: feel good about them. They're keep putting the wedding in
- 44:28Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. They are she's twenty seven, he's twenty six.
- 44:32Speaker 1: When you think about it, it seems far away for bachelination, right,
- 44:35Speaker 1: You're like you're gonna wait two years, but it's really
- 44:39Speaker 1: not that because we said twenty twenty four and then
- 44:42Speaker 1: it turned twenty twenty three, so that we were like, okayehatly, Yeah,
- 44:47Speaker 1: it's actually pretty normal. So they're going to give themselves
- 44:50Speaker 1: a year to date and then a year to like
- 44:52Speaker 1: plan the wedding. And they live in Austin, and I
- 44:55Speaker 1: just feel like that the two of them already living
- 44:58Speaker 1: in the same place is going to give them such
- 45:02Speaker 1: an upper hand to a lot of batchelor. And you
- 45:04Speaker 1: can speak to that as you guys had to adjust
- 45:06Speaker 1: to a new place in a new place together. Us
- 45:10Speaker 1: yea of us had to go to a new place together,
- 45:12Speaker 1: and so I could imagine like both being from the
- 45:14Speaker 1: same city and like, yeah, hum, let's see anything else
- 45:21Speaker 1: that was worth mentioning the why do you think you?
- 45:25Speaker 1: Nate was there? I think that maybe they're just friends.
- 45:31Speaker 1: I don't know, but I know he's really close to
- 45:32Speaker 1: Tyler too, so I don't know. I felt like it
- 45:36Speaker 1: would have been maybe they're just like really close friends
- 45:39Speaker 1: or something. I guess. Do you have anything else to
- 45:42Speaker 1: say about the two of them together? The only thing
- 45:45Speaker 1: I can think of is it's just it's so funny,
- 45:48Speaker 1: like this is like the first couple I've scenes since
- 45:50Speaker 1: like I got engaged, and it's literally the same stuff, Like, oh,
- 45:54Speaker 1: they were so excited to just go on a date,
- 45:56Speaker 1: like you forget, Like how weird that is that little
- 46:00Speaker 1: bubble that you're in that you can finally come out
- 46:03Speaker 1: and just like go on a date and stuff. But
- 46:05Speaker 1: they're also like moving in together. It's just it kind
- 46:08Speaker 1: of took me back. That wasn't that long ago for me.
- 46:10Speaker 1: They're all, yeah, I think I was actually surprised that
- 46:17Speaker 1: they were together. That's what I think is the shocking
- 46:21Speaker 1: moment to me, because I felt like after last week,
- 46:24Speaker 1: they put us on this train that made us feel
- 46:29Speaker 1: like he wasn't going to end up with the person
- 46:31Speaker 1: that he picked. And I think social media added to
- 46:34Speaker 1: that speculation hard one. There were the chicks in the office,
- 46:38Speaker 1: those guys had like this theory, that crazy rumor, yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 1: that he was with Katie and then they broke up
- 46:46Speaker 1: and he was with Jess. Then I was like, I
- 46:50Speaker 1: don't think he's random, though it felt too random that
- 46:54Speaker 1: you're like it like it has to be true. There
- 46:57Speaker 1: was that was like this is so outrageous, like who
- 47:01Speaker 1: just made that up exactly, and riad really made it
- 47:05Speaker 1: seem like she knew exactly what she was like. It
- 47:07Speaker 1: was a reliable source. And then I started thinking, wait,
- 47:11Speaker 1: they put Jess on like the podcast circuit. They had
- 47:15Speaker 1: her on our podcast, they had another couple of others,
- 47:18Speaker 1: and I'm like, so why would they have her quote
- 47:21Speaker 1: randomly out of all the girls eliminated, have her go
- 47:26Speaker 1: and make the rounds. It's so that she would stay
- 47:28Speaker 1: fresh in our brains or something. I don't know. It
- 47:31Speaker 1: worked out perfectly to where it sounded like something that
- 47:34Speaker 1: actually might have happened. But that's why I was excited
- 47:37Speaker 1: going into this. I thought there was gonna be some twist.
- 47:39Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I want bachelor couples to be together.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Then we got the class sending instead, Yeah, we got it.
- 47:45Speaker 1: I want the classic ending deep in my soul. But
- 47:47Speaker 1: a little bit of me had fun throughout the week
- 47:50Speaker 1: thinking that it wasn't that there was like some conspiracy theory, right,
- 47:53Speaker 1: something crazy was gonna happen. And then I thought last
- 47:57Speaker 1: week with social media as well, all three girls girls Aerial, Katie,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and Gabby posted the one photo of themselves up during
- 48:06Speaker 1: that Rose ceremony showing solidarity, which I thought was beautiful.
- 48:11Speaker 1: The girls, you know, really showing that their friendship was
- 48:15Speaker 1: very important and that they were all supporting each other.
- 48:18Speaker 1: It was really nice. But there is a lot of
- 48:20Speaker 1: speculation that if it ended up being Katie, she that
- 48:24Speaker 1: was a sign that she'd broken up with him. I
- 48:28Speaker 1: remember seeing that. I mean last week, literally all of
- 48:32Speaker 1: the random clues were adding it, that they were adding up,
- 48:36Speaker 1: that he don't know why somebody right, Yeah, no, it
- 48:39Speaker 1: was adding up. And then we see that second like
- 48:42Speaker 1: when it flashes from the proposal to you know, when
- 48:45Speaker 1: they're supposed to be coming outstage and shows Zack and
- 48:47Speaker 1: he's like looking down and he has a scary space.
- 48:49Speaker 1: It was like exact like I could have made me
- 48:52Speaker 1: believe anything last week. That's why I was really satisfied
- 48:56Speaker 1: with this episode. It really kept us on a roller coaster.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I kept us thinking like, oh man, they're gonna twist
- 49:02Speaker 1: us here, They're gonna twist us there. And it brought
- 49:05Speaker 1: a lot of high emotion. Yeah, it was one of
- 49:10Speaker 1: the best finales I've seen in a long time. And
- 49:12Speaker 1: then at the end, it gives us a classic happy couple,
- 49:15Speaker 1: which hopefully they last because we need a bachelor couple
- 49:19Speaker 1: to last. We got our Paradise couples. We're killing it.
- 49:22Speaker 1: It's the main show, all right. Well that's the end.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I can't believe it. That season was incredibly fast, and
- 49:36Speaker 1: now we're up to a charity season, which who knows
- 49:39Speaker 1: what it will bring. I'm excited to see that. I
- 49:42Speaker 1: was annoyed at the brother's spin. You know why, because
- 49:45Speaker 1: I thought that they should have put the brother in
- 49:46Speaker 1: the sneak peak. They should put him into the cast.
- 49:50Speaker 1: None of the guys will know that that's her brother,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and they could put him in the cast. They never
- 49:55Speaker 1: have to, like in the first of all weeks, you know,
- 49:58Speaker 1: they have a nice conversations, there's never any real romance,
- 50:02Speaker 1: which is why she eliminates him. But then he gives
- 50:05Speaker 1: her all the scoop on all the guys. It would
- 50:08Speaker 1: be so good, a stupid, stupid wig in the mustache.
- 50:13Speaker 1: I hope that they actually do that, though, because didn't
- 50:16Speaker 1: they do that with like Jesse's season or something with Jesse.
- 50:20Speaker 1: I think I heard with Jesse's season there was like
- 50:23Speaker 1: a girl that he undercover that like one undercover in
- 50:26Speaker 1: his cat. I could be making this up. But I
- 50:28Speaker 1: feel like I was like, that would be so juicy,
- 50:31Speaker 1: that would be so fun. They need to bring that back,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and I hope that they do this season and oh knows. Anyway,
- 50:38Speaker 1: all right, well, Serene, thank you so much for joining
- 50:41Speaker 1: us for this. It's been a lot of fun. I
- 50:45Speaker 1: think we covered a lot. There's a lot to cover,
- 50:48Speaker 1: and you are a great co host in doing so.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Thank you for having me. Oh my gosh, thanks for
- 50:53Speaker 1: being here. We will see you next time because we
- 50:57Speaker 1: have to talk about, you know, your private personal life,
- 51:00Speaker 1: because it's no such thing as private life here right
- 51:02Speaker 1: right here in restur nation, and we want to know
- 51:05Speaker 1: all the things between you and Brandon. But we'll do
- 51:09Speaker 1: that another time until next time. Follow my lead. I've
- 51:15Speaker 1: been Ashley. Wait say it again, exactly, I've been Ashley.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I've been Serene. Thank you. I don't know how we
- 51:23Speaker 1: came up with this tradition. It's quite ridiculous. Goodbye. Follow
