- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I give you like a little concert.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you look a little up there.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: If you look in the sea, we're Tim McGraw is maybe if he's in your area, you can go check him out.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: But that's not on the show.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's no, we have like a little 30 second clip thing that we do for our shows.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: All of our shows do like a 30 second clip thing every week.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: And you divert the sometimes in like history.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right?
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just music.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's a lot of fun.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: But it's country music history.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's country music, but you're very well rounded.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know round is a shape.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess that's a shape that is correct.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I told my doctor when he told me he did it again shape.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: I said doctor rounds a shape.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you should come from a big family.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: I said my dad's kind of fat So to the nurse from a doctor in the rocky leport in case he's listening.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Did you did your nurse reminds you of your name this morning?
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah the head nurse all right the one with the knee pads.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Okay
- 1:54[SPEAKER_02]: Good to know.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so coming up, shows coming up, movie's coming up.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: You said there's not a lot this week.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: There's, okay, so to be fair, there's not a lot coming to theaters.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: The theaters.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: There are some interesting streaming picks.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but usually we talk about a movie, usually we are review.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about a movie that, that's at a theater, isn't the theaters usually.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: The Atlanta.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: Except for in certain cases, we're like this week.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: we have a certain situation that arose and I wasn't able to go see our you were not.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I saw something else.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: You saw something else.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: I something else.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: So a streaming movie.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: A streaming movie.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Netflix.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about the likes.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about that and just a little bit.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about the movies that are coming out this weekend.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do that.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do the movies that are coming out on the big screen and the theater.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Remember these are nation-wide releases not limited releases because sometimes they may not necessarily be in your area So we're going to start while they call them limited Correct.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: I see you that nurse also taught you a beautiful vocabulary Some too.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_01]: She told me I should pronouns correctly.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: Gotcha So out in theaters this weekend a movie called obsession
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I saw the preview for that.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Cory bankers in it, Michael Johnson, I don't know.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: You saw the preview, so what'd you think of it?
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Because I saw the preview and I was kind of like, yeah, no, I mean, it's a, it's a weird horror film kind of thing, like in the middle of May.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: I just kind of go, okay, didn't ring my bell.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, also in theaters this weekend is God is is God is.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, which I don't know what that's supposed to mean I don't know, but it's grammatically incorrect So right away, God's not gonna like it
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I don't think this movie has anything to do with God after watching the preview I was kind of like Oh, this is going to be an interesting movie.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen the preview.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not to spoil too much But if you've seen the preview, it's about a man who abandoned his family.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: It sets his wife on fire And I guess one of the kids gets burnt to because like he sets his wife on fire in front of the kids So to love story.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah very much so a love of fire story There's some politician just throw like boiling water on his wife
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's like out of the news, oh, maybe I can see.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't pay attention to politics.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like a fun movie to watch.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's another one of those like Revenge Flicks, epic quest Revenge Flicks, Vivica A Fox is in it, Tessa Thompson as well, Vivica does not play a huge role in the movie.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I probably should digress on that though because she probably plays the mom now that I think about it.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Although the mom was like pretty heavily scarred up in the previews that I saw.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's not based on a true story I hope.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's based on an award-winning play of the same name.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Whether the play is a true story or not, I'm not 100% sure.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Although with the way that it kind of sets up, I mean, you know, back in the day, some guys did burn their lives.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so there's that.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and then last but not least, in theaters this weekend And again, this is only because we're talking about nationwide releases.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about limited releases Because there's another film that's coming out this weekend.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of like an anime film.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's not going to be everywhere.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but it is a rather A rather big anime film.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but in the gray
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: in the grave, in the grave, R.E.Y.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, great, yes.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Jake J.L.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: and Hall is in it, Henry Cavill.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: OK. You know him is Superman.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: It follows a covert team of elite operatives who live in the global shadows.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, the grain now as comfortable welding power and influence as they are automatic weapons and high explosives Let me let me redo that because it didn't make sense to me and we'll think that's what I'm welding Well, I mean they could be it could be they could be they're cover for their spy They could be well.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: There's an is got is too is absolutely that's how the fire got started that could and he's spark Anyway, so this would look interesting to me
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and and I thought maybe it's the movie that we should go see.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, uh, I could have of the three or so one that was kind of like, well, this one's interesting.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: The other one's okay.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was interesting to me.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't want to go see it, you don't have to see it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I think I'm going to go see it this week.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's because it, it, I'll check the trailer out.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: It looks, it looks, it looks, it looks cool.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: You and go do a streaming movie.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you do that, you have to do that.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: If you do that, you have some interesting picks this week.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, see?
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: So Marty, life is short, is coming on Netflix this week.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: That is basically like the documentary or the beloved comedian Martin Short featuring some very exclusive and that would be for seam footage.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's nothing you haven't seen about Martin Short.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe he's taking a shower.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then also the Punisher, one last kill, it's coming out on Disney Plus as well.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: Or if you want to relive your childhood sort of, you can go see the top gun, 48th anniversary edition.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's in theaters, and of course because they're doing that, they're bringing Maverick back to theaters this weekend as well.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a top gun once and that was enough.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then the fun movie.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's a really well-made movie.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, the song was the big deal there because they started using top gun to test a surround sound forever after that movie came out.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that was the best part of the whole movie.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't need to see top gun again and hold ends.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there you go.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: Those are your picks.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: So you can't look at that gray, probably.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: You can do with that.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_01]: What you will, I'm thinking in the gray and go from there.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: You usually do.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: So speaking of thinking in the gray, the sheep detectives.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_01]: The sheep detectives was the movie that we said we were going to see this weekend.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, I was not able to get to the movie.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: The correct word.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: So what did you think of the sheep detectives first of all outside of the fact that it was Hugh Jackman?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: right off the bat.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: I went to the sheep show for five bucks.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: Was it a sheering experience?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: It was.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: We were all sheering popcorn together.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I have to say right off the bat how much popcorn ended up on the floor because it was so buttery.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: Probably a lot.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: I loved it.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was really good.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's back to love it.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: It looked like it was going to be really good.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I was kind of bummed that I couldn't go see it.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, usually I get, I go to a man named me.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: I usually go to like a 145 show, so I can get here on time.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: This time I went to a seventh, 10 show at night, and it was pretty packed.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: At least half the theater.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: And a mixed group, there were some young people older people, and everyone was having a really good time.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: It is a fun, fun movie with a terrific storyline, a very family appropriate content, which I love.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: You need to see more of that, we really do.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hugh Jackman, of course, is in it.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, I think he might have had a hand in producing or writing, maybe I'm not sure.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_02]: You could look that up while I finish up.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's not in the movie as much as you would have thought.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: But it works that he's not in the movie as much as you might have thought.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: Because he sets up the premise, and then he comes in and out a couple times
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: sort of re-established a character a little bit and keep the story going.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: So it works.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: Craig McMasen is the writer of the script, the Sheep Detectives.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: But did Hugh Jackman produce or anything?
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: You said writer.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, I said the I thought he might have produced it.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_02]: Emma Thompson is also in it in a kind of a limited role, but an important limited role, so that was fun.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: Producers for the film are Lindsey Doran, Tim Bevin, and Eric Fowler.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so no.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: It just seems like his hand is in it somewhere.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's got a huge impact in the field.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: When the acting, yeah, I know.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: But I had a feel like a huge act when my department had to have any reason.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: So what does a huge act mean feel?
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Let's dive into this a little bit.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: But here's what I get from huge act when interviews, okay?
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously's Wolverine, tough guy, bad guy.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: And he's in all those movies.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: White's your tongue Wolverine is not a bad guy.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: Not a bad guy, but tough guy, you know, fighter.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_02]: that kind of thing superhero.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, but when you see my an interview shows, he's just like a really, he seems like a really nice guy who would like to make a movie that his kids could go see.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's got little kids, I believe, that his kids could go see.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: And this seemed like this was something that he got involved in because it was something that he could take his kids to.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Like I could take my grandkids to this movie, they would love it.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, again, uh, Emma Thompson is in it in a limited row.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now Brett Goldstein, if you watch Ted Lassel, Brett Goldstein is the very, uh, uh, opinionated lack of a control verbally soccer player sounds like you as one.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, one of my favorite characters on that show.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: He plays Norfolk, which is one of the main sheep.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: along with Julia Dreyfus, who plays Lily, who is the main sheep.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: There's lots of sheep.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Lots of sheep.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: Lots of sheep.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: But, and they're played by different people.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_02]: These are the main ones.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: And there's lots of twists.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: It is a murder mystery, okay?
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's a murder mystery.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it is called sheep detectives.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: What does it detective detect?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: They could have been a robbery.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's not.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: The scenery is fun.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: The live animation, it's animals' live animated, so the animals that look like their live animals, but they're talking, and that was done brilliantly.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: The scenery was great.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: The music was really good.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: There is a really subtle lesson
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: inclusion in this film that I absolutely loved.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not like super subtle, but it's subtle, it's subtle, but enough that you do get it.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion, if I had one sentence to define this movie, its Columbo meets Roger Rabbit to me.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: There is a scene and I'm not going to give it away.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: There is a scene in this movie and unexpected moment in this movie where every single person in the audience broke out laughing, loud, rambunctious laughing at the same time.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: not like a little bit of hesitation.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody, as soon as the moment happened, everybody got it.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: And it is brilliant.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: It is so, it's Mel Brooks, brilliant.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: It really is.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: So, I gave this movie a nine.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: And it's my first nine.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm basing that on a couple things.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: One of the stories that I thought was really clever, the live animation was superb.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: And the content is so family-appropriate, and yet it's adult too.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's an adult movie.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: They have to be sheep or trying to figure out a crime, a murder.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: And they do it in a way that you don't expect, there's lots of comedies, movie, lots of physical comedy and also subtle humor that you gotta really, you gotta pay attention.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: If you, there was someone in the theater that was going to pee like six times.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: And they were running in front because I was trying to sit in the front.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: They were running in front of me like three or four times.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, you are missing some really cool stuff.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_02]: So if,
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: Don't drink anything really big before you get into the show.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's only an hour and some.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a long movie.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: You can sit there and not pee.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was really good.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Or you could just bring it to pent.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: Or you could bring it to pent.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: And knowing you, knowing you, and when you and I think like and a lot more than we don't, you are going to love it when you see it.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sorry that you didn't get to see it.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: I had saved a seat for you next to me.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: I bought a ticket for you.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you didn't.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: I had a ticket for you.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to take a head of seat next to me and a bike A puppy just saying that so you look better.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's all.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: You did not buy a ticket for me Don't even start with that hog bug bug bug bug bug.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: But you are going to like it again.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't I don't doubt that at all when I saw the preview I was like I know I'm going to like this movie It wasn't Emma Thompson one of the sheep voices or was she now she was she was she was a life person She was alongside Hugh Jackman.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it was no she was not alongside Hugh Jackman
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: She has never in a scene with you, Jen.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I thought she was okay.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, my bed.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_01]: When I saw her in the thing I'm like, I bet you she's not every very long and I was like, and I bet you she's not in her for very long.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: She's not in it for a long time, but it lends to the story.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: A fair.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: It lends really well to the story, especially at the end.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: So remark, god, belie, well, balie, well.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: Rema, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a,
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so you didn't feel like you were being, you know, a sheeped along.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: I would have paid regular price for this.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow, okay.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: What is that?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I was getting at.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: I would have paid the 750.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_02]: If I had to.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's the, that's the matinee price.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and I, but I was, and I would not have regretted it.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's good.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: Again, Columbo, meet Roger Rabbit.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: And for those who haven't seen Columbo,
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm who is in St. Columbo.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: People like from get your ass on television.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a Jamie service.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Prime, Prime has Columbo.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're in St. Columbo, start at season one.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: There were nine seasons and work your way through.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: And probably the best detective show get yourself ever on TV in my opinion.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: In your opinion.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: In my opinion, which is could be wrong.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm just saying.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Columbus started it.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: Then it was co-jack.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_02]: Then it was Matt Lock.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: But Columbus was the first.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Perry Mason was kind of the first.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to say it wasn't the first.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: But he wasn't the first.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he wasn't the detective, though.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was a lawyer.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Difference.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: But wasn't he kind of like a detective-esque character?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: He was more of a people reader in the court.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: Columbo was the guy that's found and what what you got to love about Columbo if you've never seen it folks This is how they do Columbo.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: They show you the crime They show you the person and Then Columbo figures it out at the end and you are sitting there saying how come I didn't see that
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: So after you went to first few episodes, that makes absolutely no sense.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: They show you the person who committed the crime and you're like, how did I not see that?
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: You are the one you don't see, how the one thing that the person does, it doesn't do the Columbo picks up on, but you missed.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Now after you watch a few seasons, you start to get a little closer.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's a collective view, folks.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's just a certain one person's view.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's how they did the show.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody, whoever watched Colombo, was like, oh shit, how did I miss that?
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's like a cigarette that was left under a coffee table where some little thing that he catches is how, and then at the end they tie it all together.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's a brilliant show.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: If you've never seen it, go see it.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: Do yourself a favor.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: And on that note, okay, on that note, we'll switch it over to Chris, who has something that he watched that I have no idea.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I walk us and it was Gilligan's Island.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: No, the Gilligan's Island, the movie Gilligan's Island.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: There was a movie.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like in the 60s.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: No, not even like the Batman movie that was out in the 60s, either, which was a spin off from the TV show.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: That was probably just as bad as Gilligan's Island was probably just as bad in a movie format as Batman was in a movie.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: That was best Batman.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the Batman.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: That is a Batman.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was not even the first to play Batman.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Not the first, but we are digressing into a whole other category and there's really no reason to go there because I think, I don't know why you started it.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: throw it ahead.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: We all know who started it.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: You're the instigator.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: I got to buy pez.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: Remind myself to do that.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: Note to self, I think I have a potential candidate for best movie with the one that I'm going to review to this movie.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: Best movie ever?
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, best movie.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like a nominee for best movie.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe even at an Emmy or you mean for make sure names may be maybe.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: I said Emmy.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't say
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: because I'm not exactly sure how they would do this.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's a Netflix movie, and I vaguely remember, well, I vaguely remember something about streaming services or more so considered like TV's type things, so I don't know if it can get an Oscar or not.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: I will say this.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's probably going to be maybe, I feel like an 88% chance of some sort of nomination, possibly even best movie.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: So the movie that I saw this week was called Remarkably Bright Creatures, which from the time that, from the time I saw the preview I was like, you know what, I'm going to like this movie.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: And the preview kind of, the preview does a good job, it doesn't reveal too much, it's one of those great previews where I think it reels you in like it's supposed to, and then you know, it doesn't give away a whole lot, there's not a lot of,
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: special scenes that it shows like we've talked about some previews that we've seen where we're like yeah half of the movie was the previews or all the best lines were the previews so I it that's not the case here.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: I really don't want to give too much away except for the fact that this is a tear jerker at the very end you are probably going to be balling.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: If you have a heart, if you don't, like some people, he probably won't be bawling at all.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_01]: Sally Field stars in the movie.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: It does a phenomenal job of an older woman who works overnight, cleaning a aquarium, like an aquarium for a local small town.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's set in like Washington or Oregon, something like that.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: And her big friend, I shouldn't say big friend, but her biggest friend in the aquarium, is this octopus name Marcellus.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: Giant octopus.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: to find giant octopus because aren't they all big no in a sense, okay?
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm sorry.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not the aquatic zoologist person that we're wearing to an aquarium.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like five or six different ones.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it and when we talked about this movie last week, I talked about what my favorite aquarium was in Cleveland.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, of course I've been doing a aquarium because we talked about it last week.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: We've seen that there are different sizes of octopus.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but I also believe that that has something to do with their age and things of that nature as well.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: regardless, we're going off tangent here again.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: And what's a last lecture, you get involved in my conversation.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: So anyway, it is a remarkably incredible story.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: You learn a little bit about octopus or octopus, I guess that's the pie.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: And how I didn't realize this, I guess, I kind of knew this in the back of my head, but I didn't necessarily realize this.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: All of their insight,
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: comes from their suction cups on the bottom of their like tentacles and stuff like that.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's how they explore the world.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's how they see, that's how they smell, how they taste, and everything else.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: And the way they depicted in this movie is that this octopus was kind of like an empath.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_01]: and he was able to, with his tentacles and the little socks on the bottom of that I figured what they're called, he was able to figure out certain things about certain people.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: So in a sense, he becomes like a detective, sort of, and he basically takes these two people and puts them together because he realizes the connection that is between them, which is a huge connection.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it actually, both of these main characters in the movie have a very, very tragic scar in their lives.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: And the uniting of these two, and when you find out who they really are at the end of the movie, is such a big huge reveal and such a healing portion.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: For both of them.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's it's absolutely amazing.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: The movie does not drag on at all It's a very very Interesting storyline.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple of things that probably didn't need to be in it Then probably could have made it a little bit shorter, but you know what I when I watch the movie I watched it all the way through front to back.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't stop didn't have to go to the bathroom or anything like that I wasn't wearing the pen so there we go But I was watching it in the comfort of my own home, so I could hit pause if I needed to but regardless It's it's an absolutely amazing movie.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like it
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give it a night and a half, I might even, you know, no, I'm going to give it a night.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to win anything as far as cinematography is concerned.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's just for the story itself.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's so remarkable.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to feel it because I haven't seen anything in a while.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: She hasn't been anything in a while.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: You see a totally different, well, I'm okay.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to say this.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't seen a lot of Sally Field movies, but you
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but she wasn't the centerpiece of that movie.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, no, Mrs. Doubtfire was still in it.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: She wanted your favorite movies for his gump.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: Again, where she played the movie.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_01]: She wasn't the centerpiece of the film.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: She is the centerpiece of the film.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know me?
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, Leo, you didn't see that?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Also, not the centerpiece of that movie.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Pick a movie where she was the leading actress absence of Malice.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: uh... when i was like fourteen maybe okay still you have to fly none no never would have saw that any other movies with burnt Reynolds right where she still wasn't the lead in the movie this is my point she is one of the she is the female lead in this movie and she was the female will lead in the movie she was with with Bruce Willard Bruce Willard wasn't she in a movie with uh...
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Uncommon knowledge was at the name of the way your son is again.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're asking somebody is not a huge Sally feel fan.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, you know, there's these wonderful devices.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is a center that you can use to Google things with so you should do that Oh, well, you let me talk through my review.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that one you do reviews.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't talk over you.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: You talk over me.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you can anyway
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: I let you talk.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I see it in your eye.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: Just because, but I don't or anything unlike you.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I'm going to give it a nine.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do feel spoiler.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: I do feel spoiler.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: And 80 for Brady.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't see 80 for Brady?
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, I did not see 80.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Spoiler alert is a really good movie with her.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: You look like a great, you look like it.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Again, she's never been a leading actress.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: She's always been a best.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, she's always been a best.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: She's out, played at me, you're a deal.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_01]: Lincoln?
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: she played Mary Todd.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: She was good in that.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: I will give you that.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't really think honestly there's much that I don't think I don't think anybody could have done a better job as Mary Todd because she kind of looks like Mary.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: She did, yeah.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: Even even when she's not in making.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: So now that you're done looking on Google and trying to figure out all these other movies that Sally Field has been in that she really hasn't been like a blockbuster whatever
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you may go, I'm done.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: Norma Ray was the big, big, big one.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: She won the Oscar for that.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: You really like me, you like me, you really like me.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so there you go.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: She's an Oscar winner for Norma Ray.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: You found the one movie.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_01]: That probably only seven people have seen.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: That she's in.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: I go see this.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: Take your time.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to plan to see this Tuesday, this remarkably bright creature.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's because of you or how you're going to go see your
- 26:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I'm going, oh, wait a minute.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, think about that first.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_02]: I can go, I can go.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody cares when you go.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_02]: I can go by arm on to house early.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: Watch remarkable.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: Pick up the kids and then go see the other one.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: So for those of you that really want to know about this movie, make sure you go see it.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you take the time.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: You got to finish.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: Please make sure you see it.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Take the time out of your busy schedule, plan a little bit like an hour, 45 minutes to hours, something like that.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to love it.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great movie.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great story and a lot of great actors, a lot of great characters in it as well.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's really enjoyable.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give it a nine and I'm going to say it probably will get nominated for maybe an Emmy, maybe a Golden Globe, maybe an Emmy for Best Movie.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's got a real, I think it's just a deal.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: to put a top three contender.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: How much is the what tech to put in it?
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's like the head, he's the narrator.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, speaking of that, I did want to point this out.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: Doc Ock from the amazing Spider-Man that you like to quote, the one where Sally Field played Ma Parkway at May, Alfred Molina, who played Doc Ock in those movies.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: He is the narrator.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: He is the voice of the octopus in the movie.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: Anyone is in Maverick.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: He was the bad guy in Maverick too.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Can you list about seven other movies that people are not going to care about because we're trying to focus on one movie?
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: So go see it.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving you a 9.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't even see it.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can't agree with me.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: I agree because I have high respect for your review and abilities.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you talk all over me when I do my review.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: So there we go.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, move it on.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's check out our favorite Western, our, our, our, that was last week, Western, so it was last week.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: I remember because I brought because I brought a pillow with me.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I could fall asleep while we went through your long list of movies.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: So since you like to talk, we'll let you go first.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, we won't because nobody really wants to hear what you have to say any.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: That is true.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: Why have three three picks?
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know why it's because you didn't do your homework.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, no, no, no.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_02]: There are there are there are war themed movies and then there are war more movies like I went for just war war movies because there's other movies like rules of engagement that are sort of part kept some like Iraqi war kind of stuff in there, but it's not it's really more trial movie
- 29:29[SPEAKER_02]: and crimson tide, which is also sort of, there might be a war, but it doesn't happen.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_02]: Those are really good.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sensing a military movie.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: Is it Patterson that wrote those books?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm sensing like a Patterson, making with you.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, number three, Greyhound with Tom Hanks.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: If you haven't seen it, he's cast beautifully in this movie.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_02]: He really is.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: about a objective, conscious, objective who refuses to carry a rifle and is input in the medic core and ends up saving, like, I don't know how many lives, because of it.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: And number one, Dunkirk.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: which was just a brilliantly remade, the remake of the invasion of Dunkirk was just really, really well done.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's a lot of other movies.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, Green Berets with John Wayne, Platoon, Apocalypse now.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: There's a whole bunch of them.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you'd just pick three.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: Full metal jacket.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: Now you've gone to seven.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying those are all good.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: Those are all good.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Do I hear me?
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: How about nine?
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Can we're going to get in there somewhere?
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: You said three you name heartbreak bench.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's another one.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're at eight.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: That's clear.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: 30 dozen.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're nine.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're here.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: 10.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: 30 dozen is a one.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: We're at nine.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Do we hear 10.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Patton.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're already said Patton.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: No, I just say bad.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, not you're at 10.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now, but so you have you've not have 10 movies.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, even private Ryan.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: You want another one?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: 11.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: Bridget on the river.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: Quiet.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: 12.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going and I'm sure you could, but you said you only had three, so you three?
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's a favorite.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure I will never be your Spade's partner because you never know how to bid right.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: You would have been over the bid and I would have killed you because you would have made us lose.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: The good thing is is that you named one of the movies that I was gonna name and so on.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not pulling it.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pulling it.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm pulling it from my list so you'll never know because I'm not gonna say it.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: So there we go.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: My first one was my first one was Empire of the Sun.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good movie.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's a very good movie.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, a very young Christian bail.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, very good one.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: The next one that I would pick would be 300.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Because that's an awesome frickin' movie.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a normal movie?
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: It is a war movie.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's the Spartan.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's a war.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's a battle movie.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a war movie.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: That war is like tanks and stuff.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 31:59[SPEAKER_02]: Come on.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's like terrible.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, guess what?
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's war, too.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: When the civilizations take over so other civilizations, that's war.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not battle.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's war.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's more conquering.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a freaking break.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: There is nothing like going 300.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great one.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the best part of that.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: 300 is a great movie.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone they get a thing away from that.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: I scared everyone on the library.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: Great movie.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry folks.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then last but not least, I went a different route with this.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Did you know?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I did.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: And I lost it.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: I know it did.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Private Benjamin.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: Private Benjamin.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: I have his drive.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Stripes, how is that a war movie?
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a comedy, no time for sergeants.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: So you're at what?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: 13 now?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can keep going, I mean you might as well because you know you haven't been there yet.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know what it was.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's a movie that you named.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot all about it.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: You took it out, you said.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: No, there was no.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: I took a different one out because you named it.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not going to go to Platoon because that was actually the first warm movie I ever saw.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw it as a kid and it scared the hell out of me.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: Mine was the green braise.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: So there you go.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: Which I only movie.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: Um, ask me if I care and you know what the other one is ask me if I care Ask me if I care as you three movies ask me if I care I'm three movies ask me if I care I guess you know, no, okay.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a John Wayne fan if you are I've never Never been a thing for me.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: An American is you are.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, on American is I am that was below the belt all right even for you
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: Holy Mackerel.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm surprised you didn't pick Ben Hurford for crying out loud.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's not a warm move.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, it's not a warm movey, but it's about the Roman Empire.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: Is that war?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, geez.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it's not war unless there's a tank in it.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you are.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're so wrong.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's not even funny.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait to hear the listeners come to me and be like, Dude, what is he talking about?
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Three hundred's not a warm movey.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's the battle of Troy.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hello.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, what's other like Panther warm movey?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Black Panther is a superhero movie, but the main focus of that movie is not about war.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: The main focus of that movie is finding out who Black Panther is and how he's the leader.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: And he's also, oh, surprise, surprise, a superhero.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I know.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: Just saying, warm movie should have tanks and and no they shouldn't bomb.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because warm action without tanks and bombs, they happen face to face where people fought each other with swords and with other weapons.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: But I found when you missed.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: When we said warm movies, I immediately thought of like movies like Dunkirk.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: And for some reason you seem to think that just because it's a warm movie, it has to have tanks in it.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's your opinion.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks and you're welcome.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, remind me to bypass, he needs it so bad.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, you're probably not to say three kings is not a warm movie, but anyway, I digress.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's the episode folks.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: We hope you enjoyed the banter.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: We hope you go see the shoot detectives.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I know I'm going to be seeing it.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I'm going to be able to see it in theaters though, but we'll see it may tends to be a busy market for me.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: And keep in mind, folks, that we have this over and over again.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_02]: We are not movie critics, but any stretch of the imagination.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, because you just picked 13 movies when you said you only had three, you said you're never warm movies of all time.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: And what we're doing here is we're having fun.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: We have extensive backgrounds in media, radio, television, theater, music.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: We have extensive backgrounds in that prison.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: I over 60 years of background in those areas, which is why we love doing this show.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: but it's not the end all.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Our opinions are not the end all.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: We just want to try to have some fun and tell you the movies that we like and if you want to go watch them and see them, that's great.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let him fool you.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_01]: His opinion is the end all.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: So just say, you know.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_02]: In the words of you, a runner.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: His God is God.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, and in the words of those of us on cheesy popcorn, we'll see you next time, until then, make sure you stay with some popcorn.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: Some cheesy popcorn.
