- 0:00Matt did you know that in Japan the Guardians of the Galaxy title translates
- 0:05as unusual Intergalactic attacking team I didn't but that is a great name for a
- 0:11film great name or the best name ever for anything well not only that it's a
- 0:16great film so you know it is a great film what I want to know though is this
- 0:23implying that there are Intergalactic attacking teams and this is an unusual
- 0:27one right or that they attack unusual
- 0:31Intergalactic stuff right yeah or the just Intergalactic attacking teams are
- 0:37in unusual in general that's right that's unusual it's an Intergalactic attacking
- 0:42team I me that's the first line of the film right it's a slightly different
- 0:48before they roll the credits yeah it's Stan Le's
- 0:53Cameo welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your
- 0:58hosts Luke I accidentally got soap in Dan urea
- 1:05Dan it was a bit Arty so I doubt Matt would understand it and Matt is that the
- 1:11Luke penis multiple nerdgasm your guide
- 1:17to All Things
- 1:22nerdy speaking of stanlee Matt yep box
- 1:26is making a stanlee biopic yeah sort of
- 1:30of sort of and I assume this is going to be as realistic as the Ian Fleming
- 1:35biopic wherein he's a spy right they're making an action movie Spy
- 1:41thriller movie about Stan Lee right what is
- 1:47this yeah I don't know but uh I guess Stan ley's life isn't really that
- 1:54interesting on film right you know it would just be him drawing some
- 1:59characters credit for other characters and then starring Cameo roles in other
- 2:04movies yeah for the rest of his life yeah that's right there's a couple of
- 2:08things that are interesting about this one is that 20th Century Fox is doing it
- 2:14not Marvel so I thought that that's interesting they they bought the rights
- 2:19I'm like it's odd to me that that Marvel just doesn't have the rights you know
- 2:25like yeah automatically right because I mean he kind of I mean he didn't start
- 2:30the company but he kind of I think rescued it he's certainly the face of
- 2:34the company now absolutely 60 years on uh and the other thing I thought was
- 2:39interesting is that this article may be a little premature in that they they
- 2:42don't have a writer at all yet so this is just two producers going oh we're
- 2:48going to make it so that he's a spy and uh it's going to be an action adventure
- 2:54movie it's going to be great in other words this is never going to happen
- 2:59probably not yeah you know when they haven't even put a writer on that this
- 3:03movie is a long way off so like we're asking oh you know what's going to
- 3:07happen in the film well no one knows yet not even the
- 3:12producers and just so you know listeners this is the producers of Twilight and
- 3:18the Maze Runner in case you're wondering what caliber of film this is likely to be
- 3:24yeah yeah it's weird I wonder if he's even involved see if you're a celebrity
- 3:31and because I mean to purchase the rights to his life but they've got to go
- 3:35through him to get them right unless absolutely unless if I at some point
- 3:39sell them like if someone if if some reputable Studio says we'd like to make
- 3:44a movie about you and I'm like yeah okay great and I sell them the rights but
- 3:47then the rights expire can someone else snap them up is that something that can
- 3:51happen that's a very good question Matt and I do not know in the case of say uh
- 3:57gravity right if a if if a studio making or like you know in pre-production on a
- 4:02film about me and then some large company buys them can that company then
- 4:07you know in in that case I think the answer is yes then one of the major
- 4:12Studios is now making a movie about you Matt see that's pretty cool yeah well I
- 4:16mean and obviously since we're discussing it it's going to happen yeah
- 4:21that idea will get ripped off maybe that's the key mat sell your life rights
- 4:27to a very low-end production company in Hollywood right it has to be in
- 4:32Hollywood and it has to be one that has at least one good intellectual property
- 4:38right that might mean down the track that whole studio would get bought out by one of the
- 4:44Mages and then bam how do we find one of those that's interested in my life story
- 4:51what would your life story be if we made it from now right the story so far no I
- 4:57mean like oh you're right not not including all the mad stuff you're going
- 5:00to be doing in the next few years yeah obviously when things get interesting
- 5:04yeah now that things have started to heat up you know what I mean
- 5:08sure what's you you just want me to talk about my entire life is that well you
- 5:12know I mean maybe that's a separate spin-off
- 5:17podcast just just the story mat is born and he grows up yep chapter one infancy
- 5:24all right well I was born in England uh I don't know if listeners know that I
- 5:27was born in England that's interesting yeah yeah uh well I mean not to people
- 5:32in England probably not like to them it's every day quite pedestrian to them
- 5:37isn't it yeah it happens to them all the time uh no it only happens to them once
- 5:43all right so even then I think it's still an anomaly Fair Point fair point I
- 5:49was born in England moved to Australia when I was three grew up there moved to
- 5:54America when I was in my 30s yeah that's the gist of it good
- 5:58story y well I mean there's lots of coming to America movies not the least
- 6:01of which Coming to America right I think a movie about our first May Hall will
- 6:07coas yeah you know what actually a movie about our first trip to America where at
- 6:13the point we went to Area 51 if things got more interesting than they actually
- 6:17were I reckon that would be a good movie I agree and like all good true
- 6:23stories you have to Veer off into fiction at a certain point right but
- 6:28that moment where we were trying to find the road to Area 51 uh-huh and then that
- 6:34black car pulled up uh-huh and that man came out walked over to us and said you
- 6:40boys going to Rachel right exactly if if at that point that's the Turning Point
- 6:46yeah where it could have G either way kind of diverges at that point and uh
- 6:51yeah because in reality we were going to Rachel Nevada he was as well and he was
- 6:55like cool might see you there yep and then we went there and we ate some pie
- 7:00oh that was the worst pie I've ever eaten too yeah I've eaten some bad pies in my
- 7:07time while that was a wonderful day and uh we had a lovely time it wasn't you
- 7:12know it wasn't Stranger Things No that's true we did find out though from the
- 7:17people who run the little Ali in MH the
- 7:20in in Rachel Nana uh that the makers of
- 7:25uh what was that movie with Paul Paul s
- 7:30Frost and everybody yeah Paul the alien movie that was set there was filmed
- 7:35against their will yeah they didn't pay them and they also didn't tell them it
- 7:39was for a film they told them it was for a TV show and uh and they didn't and
- 7:43they came in took photos of it took photos of every wall and then built it
- 7:48as a set back in Hollywood which I don't know that seems a
- 7:54bit as [ __ ] is how I put it they have lawyer
- 8:00they do have a signed poster on the wall and it but I questioned whether they
- 8:03bought that from somewhere well apparently they got
- 8:07invited to the premiere oh okay so I think someone was trying to make amends
- 8:14by that point yeah uh there's an interesting
- 8:18interesting place it was all right let's write a movie all right we'll set it
- 8:24there the rest of this podcast is just us brainstorming should we chop this bit
- 8:28out then so I don't steals the idea or should I just beep every idea there so
- 8:31it's just a bunch of so it's like we've redacted it well hang on no no it's fine because
- 8:38obviously they I mean all we've said is the the the beginning of the trip would
- 8:42be the same no one knows what we did no one knows no one knows also we've just
- 8:48discussed if someone wants our life rights [ __ ] come and get it we have
- 8:52given this [ __ ] away that's true in fact if you're the producer of a Stanley
- 8:58biopic come to us we've had much more interesting lives than Stanley yeah I
- 9:03don't know about that I'll say this though the fact that 20th Century Fox is
- 9:08doing it means they can mention the X-Men that's it I mean they can't
- 9:13mention Spider-Man right and they can't mention the word marvel but they can
- 9:19mention the words X-Men and mutant because it's a it's a you know biopic or
- 9:25because it's about Stanley does that mean they can get away with it like are
- 9:28there certain you know um you know what there probably is did see a movie called
- 9:33Hollywood land no I've heard of it okay it's a great movie and Ben Affleck plays
- 9:39George Reeves the actor who played Superman right yeah yeah yeah I know the
- 9:43one you mean I haven't seen it but I know the one you mean yeah they didn't
- 9:46buy the rights to Superman right they just bought the life rights to George
- 9:49Reeves so they are hard to say in the movie that he plays Superman they're
- 9:53allow to say that and they're allowed to show him in a Superman suit in the film
- 9:57in context weren't allowed to show the S on any marketing including the trailer
- 10:04huh that's funny yeah so in the film he's wearing it but he it wasn't like to
- 10:10be in the trailer huh yeah that's right in fact I don't know whether they
- 10:14superimpose it out for the trailer or whether they shot certain scenes with a
- 10:19suit without the S but in the trailer he's in the suit it's clearly the suit
- 10:23but there's no s okay I I actually wanted to see that movie I I keep
- 10:28forgetting so thank you for the reminder see it it's yeah maybe it's on Netflix
- 10:32or Amazon Prime or something America I'm sure it is because [ __ ] everything's
- 10:37on Netflix in America I tried out uh Amazon Prime well not everything and
- 10:40that's the reason I tried it out is because I actually really wanted to
- 10:43watch uh Mad Max the original and oh
- 10:47yeah uh so I I thought I'll have a look on Netflix it wasn't on there um but it
- 10:54was on Amazon Prime and because I have Amazon Prime now I get a bunch of free
- 10:59video streaming so I watched it on there it's pretty good it's got kind of the
- 11:02same thing but it's got this cool feature and I don't know if Netflix has
- 11:05this maybe it doesn't I haven't noticed but it's got this thing called x-ray
- 11:09where uh this is on my iPad I was watching it uh as you're watching the
- 11:14film if you tap on the screen you get like the paws and the controls but it's
- 11:18also got this thing in the at the side it tells you um like based on the scene
- 11:25who the actors are and and a bunch of yeah I was really
- 11:29impressed like for amazing and I left it on as a test and yeah as as actors leave
- 11:36the scene and come in like they pop in at the side like somebody went to a bit
- 11:40of effort to to put it together it's really cool um wow yeah that's great
- 11:47what a great feature yeah yeah they call it's called x-ray uh it was really cool
- 11:52and Mad Max still a great movie in my opinion it's it is weird I can see why
- 11:57people think it's weird like like yeah it's very it's also not really set in a
- 12:03PO post-apocalyptic Future No I mean it is but it isn't it just says not far
- 12:07from now in yeah but all the kind of crazy Camp
- 12:12over-the-top PA stuff didn't come until the second one yeah yeah yeah there's
- 12:18like uh and the cars just look like normal 70s era cars really yeah it just looks like
- 12:24Australia like I remember it yeah exactly like well I
- 12:30mean yeah I mean I actually do remember Australia looking like that so you know
- 12:35yeah that's right but yeah Matt scroll on down uh under segments I've just pasted in a
- 12:42little uh Little Show and Tell oh yeah um so you can see what Mr Affleck looks
- 12:48like oh wow playing as Superman he looks a little different to
- 12:53how he looks playing Batman yeah although kudos to the man for playing
- 12:57both I'll say that yeah
- 12:59he uh he definitely bulked up for for
- 13:05Batman yes compared to this definitely did to an impressive
- 13:09degree yeah you impr you like a bit of that do you yeah
- 13:16sure better than I could do better than I could do well actually that's probably
- 13:20not true cuz cuz he probably had somebody there telling him what to do
- 13:25constantly and how to do it where make him not better than you can do because I
- 13:31don't have somebody there saying get off the Xbox yeah so it's definitely better
- 13:35than you can do is what I'm saying yeah yeah no I'm saying but if I had that
- 13:39maybe I could do it but I don't oh I see sure yeah I'm saying that I lack
- 13:44motivation Dan I lack motivation I see I see also I don't man I've been keeping
- 13:49up with your Instagram you're in pretty good shape these days been meaning ask
- 13:53you what your secret is yeah are you being factious now or You' been working
- 13:57out behind my back no I am being I am being cuz I think I've put on some
- 14:00weight since I got it don't even talk to me mate don't even talk to me the food here is so
- 14:06delicious yeah I know it's a problem hey where you live yeah cuz all of America
- 14:13is different right but there's one thing that kind of spanned the whole country
- 14:17right when I was there where you live is everything covered in that orange
- 14:24cheese um not everything be honest I mean it
- 14:30I will remind you of the time I ordered a salad in San Francisco right cuz I was
- 14:36sick of [ __ ] with orange cheese on it and the salad came with orange cheese
- 14:40melted on it look the mistake we made the first time we came here is that we
- 14:45ate almost exclusively in chain
- 14:48restaurants and yes we did and until you and I uh in Seattle got the shits and
- 14:55went to that that kind of local Vietnamese place where the food was
- 14:59great and so so when you're here uh we
- 15:03can go to places that aren't aren't like that well I'm glad to hear it although
- 15:10is there a Bubba Gump Shrimp near you no
- 15:14uh there is one in New York uh I don't think there's one here I don't think
- 15:21there's one in Boston it's apparently it was uh it's not it's new to this area so
- 15:26there's a brand new one that's in uh in New York um cuz we saw it there and it was
- 15:31[ __ ] packed but uh but I don't think there's one up here there might be one
- 15:36in Boston I'll check it was one chain restaurant I'm interested in visiting
- 15:39again yeah I I enjoyed it I I get mocked every time I mention oh like oh sh everyone
- 15:45goes like no all right well those people can kiss my [ __ ] ass a shrimp man
- 15:51yeah yeah well I tell you what if you like seafood then I do all right well
- 15:57then we're we're going to go some places we're going to go to Iggy and we're
- 16:00going to go to um Tommy Seafood Tommy
- 16:04Seafood sh so oh man I'll go to any Shack that promises Seafood although
- 16:10since you're only here for one day uh we have to squeeze those in yeah and I
- 16:17don't really want to go to three seafood restaurants breakfast lunch and dinner
- 16:21in one day when that day is the day before your wedding yeah I didn't think
- 16:24so yeah so maybe we'll pick we'll pick one I I'll sort that out all right I'll
- 16:30leave that in your capable hands look I was uh metaphorically or let's even say
- 16:36theoretically in America this week uhhuh because uh I don't know if you in this
- 16:42area listen well uh to be specific um I I've
- 16:49been playing a game called Fallout 4 quite some time now I've heard of it you
- 16:53may have heard of it yeah I was playing it yesterday yes so was I funnily enough
- 16:59but there was uh there's a new DLC it's called n world
- 17:04right mhm mhm I'm and it was just not
- 17:07showing up in my Xbox store yeah not
- 17:11showing up knew it was out couldn't see
- 17:15it it was uh ghosted out in my uh ingame menu when you can scroll down to your
- 17:21add-ons it was there I was there but ghost couldn't select it yeah so I was
- 17:26forced to change my Xbox's region over to
- 17:32America and it just worked yeah at which point I went to slightly different
- 17:38looking store navigated easily to NCA World downloaded it checked Netflix just
- 17:45in case yeah uh was disappointed to learn that the two things you use in
- 17:49life Netflix and Fallout 4 and Fallout 4 yeah well it let me it let me log on to
- 17:55the American Netflix it just didn't let me watch anything
- 17:59oh okay it's the same thing as when you've got the uh bpn you know yeah
- 18:04exactly it'll let you on let you
- 18:08browse yeah no no that's me OB but you know I went back to
- 18:13uh all to the Singaporean region that I'm supposed to
- 18:19be on and uh now enjoying n world that's
- 18:23awesome yeah see I've I have changed my region now I think uh but I haven't I
- 18:29haven't tried to buy anything well I haven't there's been nothing to buy cuz
- 18:33I don't haven't been playing games enough to justify buying another one at
- 18:36this point CU I've got a pile of them but uh yeah I am I'm ready to do that
- 18:41because the I mean the pricing is different uh and I have I do now have a
- 18:45payment method here in the country which is nice okay that's good so I'm all
- 18:49ready to go I just haven't done it yet and and Luke was correct actually uh oh
- 18:53yeah Luke's not here we did this last time when you in here oh yeah Luke's not
- 18:56here yeah yeah didn't didn't mention it he well he is
- 18:59uh he's in this country at the moment which is why's we should get him to
- 19:03record the occasional oh is that so yeah and then just sporadically sprinkle
- 19:09sprinkle it in this episode yeah yeah I switched something else over this week
- 19:15uh because I bought a Kindle last time I was in the States oh yeah right because
- 19:19uh you couldn't buy Kindles here um so I bought it in the states and
- 19:25I've been using it with an American account cuz I set it up while I was
- 19:28there yeah uh but now there's a Singaporean local store so I've switched
- 19:35over and things got a little cheaper so that was good see they offered to to
- 19:41switch they opened the Australian store after I had my Kindle I had a Kindle set
- 19:45it up was using it there was only the US store at the time there wasn't an
- 19:49Australian one they set up the Australian one they said do you want to
- 19:51switch and I went yep and then when I did there were a lot less books and they
- 19:58got rid of the Australian store doesn't have a wish list or anything or didn't have a wish
- 20:02list or anything like that it was just [ __ ] Bare Bones and so I and all the
- 20:06books were about Waltz and Matilda that's right and so I it's just a bunch
- 20:12of those [ __ ] poems they made as read in English class all those Australian
- 20:16poems over and over again oh god um so I
- 20:21tweeted at them and I said what's going on and they said oh you know we'll add
- 20:25it to the feature requests I'm like feature requests like you've got it on
- 20:30the on the other Amazon stores like just turn it on
- 20:34surely [ __ ] know it's there yeah I I know you know what it
- 20:40is cuz and also none of the stuff that I like the stuff I had on there um you
- 20:47know they would have to well ideally they would copy my existing wish list
- 20:50over and all that kind of stuff and then like I said I have the books are missing
- 20:53so I just switched back in the end like it cost me a little bit more but cost me
- 20:58a little bit
- 21:5820 bucks everywhere so I I think oh there's something going on with the
- 22:04films here digital it seemed to be more expensive over overall uh even on iTunes
- 22:10I'm looking in a lot of them are all they're all 20 bucks and I'm like I'm
- 22:13sure they weren't that much in Australia some of them were cheaper like when they
- 22:17first come out some of them are 20 bucks I think but I'm sure they were a bit
- 22:21cheaper like you get them for 10 after you know a month or two yeah
- 22:27yeah but over all physical [ __ ] is a lot cheaper oh man this country [ __ ] runs
- 22:32on coupons and discounts and [ __ ] too like way more than I've ever experienced
- 22:37like if you go to the shops yeah like if I go I went and bought like a a pair of
- 22:41pants the other day from like a um from
- 22:44like kind of Kmart kind of equivalent and as you know I paid for the pants and
- 22:51they're like all right and here's this big pile of coupons for next time you
- 22:53come in like and and they're like like 50% off 40% off this like and like like
- 22:59huge discounts and even Hot Topic remember Hot Topic they're just like
- 23:03please come back please come back here everything you buy it's like here's $30
- 23:07of of Hot Topic cash so next time you come in and you get $30 off I'm like $30
- 23:12is a lot yeah [ __ ] yeah especially 30 American dollars yeah so yeah this
- 23:17country country runs on like coupons and discounts it's great yeah while Obama's
- 23:22in power you watch that [ __ ] go out the [ __ ] window well I'm not sure he has
- 23:26any say over that but all right mate you are at the end of a Communist Regime man
- 23:31make no mistake am I you are about to get you about to get a rude shock when
- 23:34the capitalist comes to town yeah all
- 23:38right that sounds
- 23:42fun can we talk about uh this Yahoo serus article just because yes we
- 23:47absolutely can because I love Yahoo serus and also because there's something
- 23:50else something else I saw in it okay um great so do you want to talk us through
- 23:55the article sure I mean this is not new new news no right this is just something
- 24:00that I only just learned and it's that in the year 2000 Yahoo serus the
- 24:07Australian actor Yahoo serus MH sued
- 24:12yahoo.com for copyright infringement I guess yeah um yeah trademark
- 24:19infringement I think yeah sure yeah yeah that's right it's not actually copyright
- 24:23they're not copying anything so his original name which I didn't know is Greg p
- 24:29which is a funny name anyway I'm sure he could have done
- 24:33something with that but he changed his name in 1980 by deole to Yahoo serus I
- 24:40guess to be an actor or to make a name for himself and the name was yah
- 24:44literally yeah to be a certain type of actor I guess yeah and that's I say I'm
- 24:51I'm a big fan of Young Einstein I'm a big fan of Reckless Kelly and I haven't
- 24:54seen Mr accident so I've never even heard of Mr accident I will say this
- 24:58though Young Einstein holds up does it I got to watch I watched it not super
- 25:04recently I watched it maybe three or four years ago but that's still 30 odd
- 25:08years after it was made right mhm and it's great yeah right well I'm not going
- 25:14I don't want to speak for her but Jenner is a huge Yahoo serus fan so really how
- 25:19is she a fan um what has she seen she has almost well we we watch Reckless
- 25:25Kelly from time to time oh sure okay
- 25:30that is a that and then uh I mean she's seen all of his film she's
- 25:35right here do you you want me to ask her I'm just it baffles me because I I
- 25:41didn't know that anyone outside of Australia in the 80s had any idea who
- 25:45yaho serus was well almost C I don't think in the 80s she knew who yaho serus
- 25:50was uh I think she came to him a bit later on um so she was born a bit later
- 25:56on yeah uh but yeah huge fan so yeah so we watch his films can I just say and and my
- 26:03favorite thing about this article just because it made me actually made me
- 26:05laugh out loud was this comment that I'm going to read to you this is from a
- 26:08gentleman by the name of Tim says thank
- 26:12God for time it has permitted me sorry thank God for time it has permitted many
- 26:19people to distance themselves from the memory or experience that was Yahoo
- 26:22serious I never understood the phenomena behind this guy he was an idiot and
- 26:27produced some of the worst films I've ever seen in a small way I hope a bullet
- 26:31finds his heart tonight Jesus Christ the
- 26:36[ __ ] oh my God this guy has been like literally just waiting for the moment
- 26:41where he can drop a comment about Yahoo serious in Waiting 30 years or so like
- 26:46it was quite harsh anyway essentially threaten his life it was quite harsh but
- 26:51then just at last sentence in a small way I hope a bullet finds his heart
- 26:55tonight like I'm going to say that more often I think
- 27:00yeah it's in a small way because how can you like in a small way hope somebody
- 27:05gets shot through the chest I know you
- 27:08know what I mean and dies in a small I to my boss yeah I hope he gets shot the
- 27:14face in a small way I hope you get [ __ ] shot through the [ __ ]
- 27:18heart yeah also I did like this comment too where the person who's like just
- 27:23read an article clearly doesn't know what his name is but yeah hey wow I
- 27:28hadn't thought about it in ages but this post reminds me of when Young Einstein
- 27:31first came out my dad was so amused by Mr serious Le's name that for a while
- 27:35he'd run around yelling Yahoo seriously at random intervals like the name is in
- 27:41the the
- 27:45headline yeah yeah like are you getting this wrong or did your dad get it wrong
- 27:50back in 1988 yeah I guess that part of the joke that I've that's just a bit
- 27:55unclear is that your dad didn't know that his name was serious
- 28:56[Laughter] the mid some tough competition was there
- 29:01yeah that's right yeah yeah I also uh I did a performance in high school oh
- 29:07sorry witnessed a performance in high school uh I didn't I didn't do it we've
- 29:12talked about it before in the show um we
- 29:15need to refilm that to recreate it to do a docu drama if you're a new listener
- 29:21and you don't know uh during one of my High School drama performances uh a
- 29:26classmate acted out a uh a
- 29:31rape in an where he he was being raped yeah he was being raped in an Alleyway
- 29:37and it was it was Madness it was one of the most surreal
- 29:44things I've ever seen so uh
- 29:47yeah that's fantastic yeah I hope I
- 29:52hope that that guy knows somehow in his
- 29:56heart that 20 years later we're still talking about that I assume that was his
- 30:02goal what's that I can't hear you want to go outside sure all right all right
- 30:08no no oh God no no and then the rest of us just sat there with their [ __ ]
- 30:13Jaws on the floor like what is he doing pulled his own pants down and pretended
- 30:20to be raped bent over on the ground yep and started yelling I want it I want it
- 30:25no God no and like it's it's not like he was a [ __ ] Academy award-winning
- 30:30actor either it was kid in high school like acting this out yeah I mean imagine
- 30:35if he was good imagine if he was legitimately good and there were tears
- 30:39streaming down his face you know oh God and then at the end you know he's he's
- 30:45he's he's got you know his mascara smudged yeah and he's I wonder slowly
- 30:49pulling his pants back up he was not I mean we were kind of the class clowns
- 30:56like my friends and I I was Carl Carl who listens to the show and I in
- 31:01particular I'm sure you can imagine wait wait wait Carl did you see this right in
- 31:07he must have he was in my class he must have right in unless I did uh Pathways
- 31:14so I was in two year 11 classes so oh it's possible that he
- 31:19didn't um so actually in that sense I you don't remember watching this
- 31:26perhaps this was you
- 31:30true maybe you uh you were you didn't see it because you were in
- 31:35it yeah in that so in that sense I am mixing up the um the uh the years myself
- 31:40but but this guy was not a Class Clown or anything like that accelerated
- 31:44class uh other way around cuz I went to a little tiny school as did you but I
- 31:50think I went to one for all the way up to year 11 until it became apparent that
- 31:56I could not I couldn't study music or drama which were things that I I I
- 32:01enjoyed that's right and then um so I I
- 32:06changed like I did year 11 and then my parents I said I got the shits with the
- 32:12this CU I had to do a bunch of stuff I wasn't interested in and uh yeah and my
- 32:16parents said all right well I mean you can switch schools but you'll have to do
- 32:19year 11 again probably to do music and drama so I did it's because we didn't
- 32:24teach you the real year 11 at this Christian School you're currently going
- 32:28to yeah yeah not enough student basically the way it worked was you
- 32:31would put your you would say I want to do these courses and if enough people
- 32:34also wanted to do them they would run them and they would they would just
- 32:39invent a teacher to teach them I guess like one of the teachers oh yep you're
- 32:42teaching drama this year like oh yeah I mean look it was a little tiny school
- 32:48that was that was how it had to be that's what it was I was speaking to a
- 32:53German guy the other night right who was telling me that in Germany
- 32:58if you if you have trouble if you fail one subject you have to repeat the
- 33:05entire high school year right right and back in back in his day back in our day
- 33:11Latin was a required subject wow and he was [ __ ] at it right he did not
- 33:18understand it he ended up doing the same year three times until he passed Latin
- 33:24my God just Latin imagine that and then
- 33:28lucky he did cuz that's that's a skill you need yeah that's right yeah he's a
- 33:35social worker now so he probably speaks Latin every day comes up a lot yeah
- 33:40that's right mind you by the third year you'd be [ __ ] good at the other
- 33:43subjects wouldn't you you think so yeah you wouldn't even need to look at the
- 33:47math test you'd just be writing down numbers knowing for certain they were
- 33:51the answers my final year of high school uh which was kind of my third
- 33:56year of high school I did music the year
- 34:0112 uh parts of music and drama yes sorry so that's why I was in an additional
- 34:07class because I I think I switched midyear and so I did half a year of of
- 34:12other class it was it was all very strange but I you caught up and then
- 34:15they let you catch up yeah because I I started school a bit early because when
- 34:20my birthday is anyway so I had like an extra year blah blah anyway yeah
- 34:25um where was I going with that I completely forgot what I was going to
- 34:29say I just want to see Carl act like he's getting raped I'm sure we can
- 34:33organize that I'm sure he's listening and we'll we'll get Snapchats as soon as
- 34:38he hears this I I'm sure that by this point in the conversation Kyle's pants
- 34:44are already around his ankles it's true I mean that's how he listens to the show
- 34:48I remember what I was going to say my final year of high school I only did
- 34:51three subjects I did music drama and uh three computers which is the Advanced
- 34:56Computers class and and so most of my final year of high school was spent at
- 35:01the the penth Plaza Cinemas watching films
- 35:05and convincing people like car and convincing people like Carl uh to to
- 35:11skip school and come with me and getting in trouble actually we got to we're
- 35:16literally sitting outside you know there was two Cinemas there was one in the
- 35:19plaza and there was one up um used to be the Hayden Cinemas further up yeah I
- 35:23used to work there mate yeah right well we're literally sitting outside
- 35:28smoking having watched just watched a movie and then Carl's dad walked past
- 35:33and was like what the [Laughter]
- 35:37[ __ ] oh man what are the chances yeah well actually considering you worked
- 35:43right near there pretty good pretty good yeah okay I guess he was stupid yeah we
- 35:49fools there's a few places we can go from here mhm there's a lot of idiot
- 35:53news yeah um in fact God there's a ton of idiot news this week
- 35:59some got bumped from last week even yeah that's right well some was too good to
- 36:03ignore right yeah maybe maybe we'll let the listeners decide listeners uh if
- 36:09you're listening to this live um going to work send me a text and tell me if
- 36:14you want to hear about the kids parties in the concentration camp uhhuh the uh
- 36:20the racist AI robot mhm mhm um the entire school being hospitalized for
- 36:27eating the world's hottest chil y random clown sightings in North Carolina mhm
- 36:34near you Matt uh uh aliens on the
- 36:40moon or the Hidden City on Mars yeah they're kind of linked look I mean we
- 36:45can probably get through all these I have something to say about all of them
- 36:47actually so we can probably get through them all right should we uh should we
- 36:51tackle space first sure all right space
- 36:55news space news these are I mean it's not so much news
- 37:02it's more space idiots yeah it's anti- news if anything yeah so there's two of
- 37:07these and they're both similar in theme uh and the theme is that
- 37:12NASA has released photos of things in space and then morons have found little
- 37:18glitches or anomalies in them and are assuming it's a conspiracy to to hide or
- 37:23you know cover up the existence of aliens or something like that I mean
- 37:28Matt if I if I can just unpack what you said there yeah right um NASA are
- 37:34releasing photos yeah uh on the one hand and on the other
- 37:39hand NASA are trying to cover up a conspiracy
- 37:43yep wouldn't the easiest way for NASA to cover up their conspiracy be to not
- 37:48publish photos of it right see because NASA published quite a lot of photos I
- 37:52don't know if you if you know this listeners if you're interested you can
- 37:55go to their website and you can see they put
- 38:57of the Moon that NASA has released shows an alien
- 39:03antenna uh and if you look at the photo there is a spike well it's not a spike
- 39:10it's just a black line a little Mark it's a black line and and and I'll also
- 39:14say that there's black lines all over this [ __ ] photo it's a black and
- 39:18white photograph of the lunar surface that's right and there a little
- 39:24anomaly right which uh he believes is an antenna of some sort uh and he believes
- 39:30this is evidence that aliens are using Moon minerals and that they have bases
- 39:34there as well and many other findings that support this theory that he hasn't
- 39:38bothered to to clarify no cuz the thing is I I love it no one
- 39:43can ever just say there's an anomaly I wonder what that means they have to say
- 39:48there's an anomaly and here's what my brain has imagined a very specific thing
- 39:54that it must be it's like uh it's it's like when David Ike or somebody begins a
- 40:00talk and then I I look up because I find David Ike fascinating oh absolutely
- 40:05because he'll begin and you go okay not not one of his reptilian talks obviously
- 40:11I'm talking one of his weird things about the solar system right cuz he's
- 40:14got some weird ideas about the Sol system and how Saturn used to be the Sun
- 40:18have you heard that no okay sat he believes I think I'm sure it's sattin
- 40:24used to be the Sun and that that apparently this explains
- 40:29things but um but yeah it starts out and it sounds quite reasonable at first but
- 40:35then almost like instantly it switches to like it just starts jumping to these
- 40:41like wild conclusions and you're like w slow down and this is exactly the same
- 40:46thing like that that black smudge kind of looks like it could be an antenna a
- 40:52they're harvesting Moon minerals those bastards that's right like what are you
- 40:56talking about always do well I mean remember that kind of patch
- 41:03of rock and dirt on the moon that looked like Bert
- 41:08from Bert Nery yeah yeah remember the the face on Mars the the very famous
- 41:13face on Mars remember that yes well that's right yeah it's not there it's
- 41:19because it was just it was just a the photo looked like that in the photo yeah
- 41:24like you know photos have anomalies and and not even I mean it could be a smudge
- 41:30could be a bloody hair in the the the you know the lens or something like that
- 41:35could be anything like yeah it's not an
- 41:38alien like and and if it was right because look we can't prove that it's
- 41:45not Matt right right we can't prove that it's
- 41:49not but even if it is seeing an alien
- 41:53antenna doesn't tell you that they're harvesting minerals in this very
- 41:58specific way that you've come up with that's true I put it to you that even if
- 42:02you know even if you've somehow by accident guessed that there are aliens
- 42:07on the moon right you know nothing about what they're doing there
- 42:14exactly um I mean this happens all the
- 42:16time although this guy Mr SW saala on
- 42:21his website says finding alien anomalies mechanical structures and buildings Etc
- 42:26on our Sol system is quite a new matter for me is it is it now girl you're very
- 42:33good at it yeah on your first day you spotted
- 42:37one yeah so that's that's one instance of this uh and there there's another
- 42:43similar case that I found where NASA released some photos from Mars I assume
- 42:49from the from one of the Rovers uh they uploaded a bunch of
- 42:55photos one of them was uh different in size it was a very
- 43:01small lowquality photo compared to the others MH so rather than assuming that
- 43:06NASA has accidentally you know someone at Nasa accidentally uploaded a
- 43:09thumbnail or something instead of the actual image yeah uh these people uh the gentleman's
- 43:16name is Scott warring he believes it's a
- 43:20conspiracy and that the photo depicts a
- 43:24city on Mars buildings
- 43:28and NASA has intentionally uploaded a small Pixy image in order to hide the
- 43:35fact that it's a photo of a city because once again instead of just not uploading
- 43:39anything they've gone [ __ ] mate you can see clearly our secret City you better
- 43:44make that image a little smaller exactly like what the f where is your where is
- 43:48your mind Mr warring what do you not only that but with the moon one look
- 43:55there's something there it does look like maybe an antenna maybe it's the
- 43:59moon's penis I don't know there's some little stripe in this picture I don't
- 44:04know what he's [ __ ] looking at it's it's it's a [ __ ] Ridge it's rocks
- 44:08like it's just Pixy rocks like I mean
- 44:11and and the the the Moon one NASA uh or whoever said it's just like a plateau or
- 44:18it's the shadow of you know like a ridge of of rock or something like that that's
- 44:22what they think it is or they think it's most likely to be that they think it is
- 44:25like a genuine like it's caped something in the photo on the moon like it's a
- 44:30real thing it's not a a floor in the photo but it's not an antenna and this
- 44:35one I mean why would you assume that it's that
- 44:41they've pixelated it to hide it what instead of just not putting it up like
- 44:44you said I mean what is wrong with this guy like come on I can't see a city if
- 44:50anything if I'm using my imagination it looks like a Mars
- 44:56train yeah it looks like the Polar Express with a big coming out yeah it looks like
- 45:02the Polar Express with its high beams on why are they hiding Tom Hanks on
- 45:08M so get the size of this image was 4kb which to me says your image hasn't
- 45:15uploaded properly because that is clearly not an entire photo right yeah
- 45:21it's a mistake not a [ __ ] conspiracy why would they upload it at all you
- 45:26[ __ ] more on like why would you do that it's like if I um if I had a bunch
- 45:32of nudes and I was like oh go on I don't want everybody on Facebook see these
- 45:37nudes I better pixelate them before I upload them yeah I better just
- 45:42upload I can't just not upload
- 45:46them ridiculous yeah not an option Matt so keep an eye out for my Facebook
- 45:52account listeners
- 45:58uh we don't we going to end on that we got more news we got tons more we got
- 46:02tons more news where do you want to go next we fairly closely monitor AI news
- 46:08on this podcast we've talked about robots and things before um and we've
- 46:12talked about racist AI in the past sure uh when we were talking about a a
- 46:19chatbot who um hated the Jews well that
- 46:23was yeah that was it learned from
- 47:29yeah that makes sense average people I think I think could submit photos but as
- 47:35it turns out if you weren't white this
- 47:37AI was not interested it rated you quite
- 47:43low yeah all the uh all the winners were white yeah all the winners were white uh
- 47:49then you have semi whites I'm not sure if that's the correct term in the middle
- 47:54including Asians yeah Etc and then of course blacks down the
- 48:00bottom yeah a handful of winners were Asian and one had dark skin it doesn't
- 48:06say what that means by you know like how dark or or what you know or where they
- 48:11were from or anything like
- 48:14that so my I mean my question is uh who
- 48:19built this first of all um there's a paragraph here that I don't like I'll
- 48:24just read the paragraph the simplest explanation for biased algorithms is
- 48:27that the humans who create them have their own deeply entrenched biases that
- 48:32means that despite perceptions that algorithms are somehow neutral and
- 48:36uniquely objective they can often reproduce and amplify existing
- 48:41prejudices that's not true I think like
- 48:45that's not true you can't you can't write an algorithm and accidentally make
- 48:51it racist yeah just because you yourself are a racist it doesn't work like that
- 48:56it it will be apparent to anybody who reads through an algorithm if it's
- 49:00racist like it's you can't I think what this journalist assumes is that this
- 49:07person's put somehow a ranking on skin color with one being at the top you
- 49:11can't unless you're an idiot you can't accidentally write code that preferences
- 49:17specifically preferences white people and not realize it unless it like you
- 49:22can accidentally and I think that's more likely what's happened here is my my
- 49:26theory this would be right how have they what examples have they given this thing
- 49:33to say this is what people find beautiful right if it's given people a
- 49:38photo of say you know like like some supermodel say yovich or something right
- 49:44they're saying this is people think this is beautiful right well obviously it's
- 49:48going to pick a bunch of white people you know yeah so I think it's something
- 49:54like that where Maybe the other thing is
- 49:58how many people of different skin tone submitted photos like if the
- 50:04overwhelming number of submissions were from you know from Caucasian women well
- 50:09then you know it's going to bias the results it's tip the scale right yeah so
- 50:14I really I just don't think I don't think there's anything here to be honest
- 50:18well that's one explanation Matt and the other explanation is that all robots are
- 50:23racists or the the white people just just are better and and the robotss know
- 50:29it you know Jenna when you're uh editing this episode can you isolate when Matt
- 50:34says white people are just better and can you please put that aside to be his
- 50:40new quote in the start of every episode thank you oh dear because they
- 50:45mentioned later on too uh uh computer law enforcement forecasting tools which
- 50:51use data to predict where future crimes will
- 50:55occur uh they will crimes thanks Philip
- 50:58K dick yeah so they will produce what could be considered to be racist results
- 51:04as well um and I don't want to [ __ ] I don't want to cause any drama all I'm
- 51:10but but it is based on historical data like the computer's not being racist
- 51:15it's looking at data and it's extrapolating that data into the future
- 51:20you know what I mean like and so what you're saying is it's not our fault if
- 51:23computers know white people are better no I'm saying
- 51:27culturally right we've created a we've created a scenario we haven't Matt maybe
- 51:33you have go on out of this I haven't
- 51:36either I as far as I'm aware I'm not I'm not one of those people that the
- 51:41perpetuate to this stuff but I'm saying if you take the historical data and feed
- 51:45it into a computer it's going to make certain assumptions if you're
- 51:49withholding you know information like you
- 51:54know you know what I mean you know what no idea what you mean
- 51:59Matt we you do know what I
- 52:05mean there's a situation particularly here in the US where the if you look at
- 52:10the crime rates it probably is a lot of
- 52:13whoa okay we went there did we what what
- 52:19what we're talking about how do we get on the crime cuz that's the article does
- 52:25that's what I was talking about I didn't read that low down apparently the I just
- 52:28said the computer-based law enforcement forecasting
- 52:32tools Oh I thought that meant oh never mind I feel a bit
- 52:38stupid keep going it's it's saying that
- 52:42the software predicts that black people are more likely to commit crimes that's
- 52:48what I'm saying but that's based on predicts an
- 52:51average what's that I mean I could have told you that
- 52:59well that's what I'm saying it's because it's based on the fact that we've you
- 53:02know historically [ __ ] them over and so they've had to resort to crime and
- 53:07therefore if it looks at the number of crimes or the number of people in jails
- 53:10also the Prejudice of the people in the past who were arresting people you know
- 53:16like like the police or the you know whatever like it's it it's using the
- 53:21police what I'm saying is it's not that the algorithm is racist and it's not not
- 53:27that you've made a racist algorithm it's that the data that's been fed is a bad
- 53:33representation of humans y That's what
- 53:37I'm saying yep I mean maybe if African scientists were the ones who built this
- 53:42AI it would have come off very differently no I'm saying if if so if if
- 53:48black people had enslaved white people and we had had to resort to stealing
- 53:52[ __ ] to survive perhaps the results would be a little different that's what
- 53:56I'm saying well on that note Matt I will say that uh I think uh our Reign has
- 54:02come to an end and it's only a matter of time before that comes to pass are we
- 54:08leaving this in [ __ ] I don't know I don't know if we're the best
- 54:13people to comment on this stuff maybe we where's Luke where's Luke to stop us
- 54:17from saying this [ __ ] look where's Luke to say I don't see what's wrong with
- 54:22assuming black people commit crimes yeah black people commit more crimes that's a
- 54:28fact maybe we shouldn't go on to the next story about the concentration camps
- 54:32either well I I have an opinion about that as well going
- 54:36on I'm sure you do man so oh tell tell
- 54:42us what it's about yeah sure okay once again I'll set it up you knock it down
- 54:46for a Nazi concentration camp in uh Lithuania uhhuh um is now a function
- 54:53Center you can have your wedding there you can have your kids party there the
- 54:56kids parties even have different themes like
- 55:01military yeah y uh uh people get married some people think it's fine some people
- 55:07think it's quote disgusting
- 55:11unquote I I think it's
- 55:15fine y um it was fine when your grandfather was there it's that's not
- 55:21what I mean it's it's been a function Center uh
- 55:27since 2009 right uh they're not glorifying it or anything they're just
- 55:31using it as a function Center um you know this it's not like it's not been
- 55:38left in the state that it was you know like look at it like it's it's just a
- 55:43function center now like yeah okay it was it was the site of some awful [ __ ]
- 55:48uh I you know but you can't just you know you don't just be sad about it
- 55:54forever it's been used as a function Center kids having parties there people
- 55:57getting married there you know making the most of of yeah surely if anything
- 56:02it's actually a positive reappropriation that's what I that's what I'm thinking
- 56:07yeah I mean also I understand if they were making light of the Holocaust and
- 56:12like yeah if they turn it into a holocaust themed themed restaurant for example right
- 56:18that sure yeah but I think this I don't I don't see what the problem is and then
- 56:23uh this guy who's the founder of from the depths which is a holocaust
- 56:28commemoration group um which you know I
- 56:32understand people unhappy about what happened obviously it was not was not a
- 56:37nice thing uh but he says it's below any level of decency and respect and I think
- 56:42that's a bit extreme uh he says I do too because they should hold their heads in
- 56:46shame and be condemned internationally that such an important and holy site be
- 56:50privatized well that's ridiculous yeah a holy CES a stretch
- 56:56that kind of implies that you're Pro what went on there right right which is
- 57:00weird to begin with yeah know people die everywhere literally everywhere on Earth
- 57:06yes something really really awful right here in this
- 57:12room and I'm going to bury her later on tonight yeah and then build a function
- 57:19Center yeah that's right on her grave some some other some other things to
- 57:23note here right number one this wasn't buil built to be a concentration camp
- 57:29wasn't built by the Nazis it was appropriated by the Nazis uh right it's
- 57:34it's been a building since 1882 which was actually only 12 years
- 57:38after Germany became a country right right so just putting that out there right
- 57:45um and uh it's Heritage listed now right
- 57:49so a nonprofit military Heritage company
- 57:54has acquired this y and and they're holding functions there presumably to
- 58:00raise back the money for the preservation of the building itself yeah
- 58:04wild crazy uh damning headlines aside
- 58:09it's probably okay yeah I just I mean I I get where he's coming from but I think
- 58:14he's gone a bit overboard and I don't I don't really see what the the problem
- 58:18with this particular case is right like somewhere like aitz like if you turn
- 58:22aitz into a function Center that's a bit off but this is not this is a building
- 58:26that they took over it did some awful [ __ ] there and then now it's been turned
- 58:30you know it's been taken back and then made into a function center it's not
- 58:34quite the same thing you know yeah I mean part of me thinks they should turn
- 58:39alitz into a carnival or something you know like
- 58:44just my carival I understand why you can't I understand why you can't yeah no
- 58:49no my brain went down the same path it was like because I went to Daka when I
- 58:52was in Germany and and I'm like had a great party there it's a sad place and
- 58:57it's an awful place and part of me was thinking you know what it would be nice
- 59:00to to [ __ ] bulldoze it and then yeah you know build awesome there instead
- 59:05build something happy on top of it but build a Disneyland Yeah well yeah kind
- 59:10of well not Disneyland because Disney hated the Jews right did he really a bad example
- 59:17yeah funnel money the Nazis yeah tell the story
- 59:23guys a biography of Walt Disney I need to read
- 1:00:26headline and the and the um this guy's outrage is a bit overboard yeah yeah um
- 1:00:33in this case not about the Holocaust in general in this specific this building
- 1:00:38yeah yeah this 1880s era like if we had to shut down
- 1:00:45every place building location on Earth where something bad happened to the
- 1:00:52Jews just sure we wouldn't have any places even yes exactly you'd have to
- 1:00:57shut down all of Russia all of Germany half of America they've been around so
- 1:01:01long that like yeah You' have to shut
- 1:01:04down Egypt right the Middle East no I
- 1:01:09know yeah Egypt's actually off so let's not go there pretend I didn't say that yeah
- 1:01:15[Music] beep can I uh can I change tactic here
- 1:01:20and recommend some films to you man yeah please do have you seen don't breathe no
- 1:01:26I want to because uh you do want to man I know it's the director who did the
- 1:01:30Evil Dead uh reboot which I love so yeah
- 1:01:34and uh you know I mean this is a this is one of those movies that set in one
- 1:01:39house with three characters ah it's
- 1:01:43[ __ ] terrifying it's great awesome yeah Al I will say this right I saw this
- 1:01:49at the cinema and I went by myself because um doesn't like this kind of
- 1:01:53[ __ ] right right I mean she loves reading about it she loves listening to
- 1:01:58your podcast about horror films right getting the whole story but she likes
- 1:02:03all that stuff better than actually watching them okay so I took myself off
- 1:02:07watch this by myself and I might be done with Cinemas Matt I might be [ __ ]
- 1:02:11done with them right yeah I'm I'm thinking that too actually but go the
- 1:02:16amount of [ __ ] chatter that was happening during this movie private
- 1:02:21conversations uh the amount of [ __ ] iPhone screens mhm had to be distracted
- 1:02:27by mhm uh not to mention the fact that there was very close to me a row of
- 1:02:32[ __ ] that just thought this movie was [ __ ] hilarious right right I mean
- 1:02:39without giving anything away right it's a blind guy trying to catch some people
- 1:02:43so he doesn't move gracefully he [ __ ] stumbles around like a blind man right
- 1:02:48and they thought that was hilarious every time he did some blind thing they
- 1:02:52giggle like a bunch of [ __ ] idiots in spite of all these
- 1:02:57distractions I still liked it so it's a good movie but I think I'm just going to
- 1:03:02go to Italy and watch this [ __ ] at home from now on I saw when I when I saw a
- 1:03:07Suicide Squad uh not the best example but there was a a group of women behind
- 1:03:12us who just kept loudly asking each other questions about things that like like
- 1:03:18some character like they were introducing the characters at the
- 1:03:21beginning and someone pop up and thenone was like who's that like [ __ ] shut up
- 1:03:25and you'll find out sake yeah yeah they're not going to not tell you
- 1:03:30exactly have you ever watched a movie fil it's not like they've withheld
- 1:03:34the information from you you're about to find out shut up yeah you get the little
- 1:03:39book to read before you came in like the rest of us did yeah why haven't you met
- 1:03:45him yeah yeah I know what you mean it just seems like
- 1:03:49uh When We Were Young it was like the the the cinema was a Sacred Space where
- 1:03:56you turned your phone off and well people didn't have phones phones didn't
- 1:03:59weren't invented yeah yeah but you you shut up and you watch the film and it
- 1:04:04was kind of like a like a you know like a ritual almost like you shut up and you
- 1:04:09watch the film but yeah it doesn't seem like that anymore people treat it like
- 1:04:13their loung room yeah it was an unspoken rule that you were allowed to talk
- 1:04:18through the trailers if you wanted to yeah but then as soon as the little
- 1:04:24curtains went out a little further right and the extra ey lights went off
- 1:04:31yep you shut up you shut the [ __ ] up unless you're in uh Florida where
- 1:04:36that guy shot the other guy for talking during the trailers that was fine by me
- 1:04:41wonder Happ with that there was uh the hopefully enjoyed the rest of the
- 1:04:46film no I think you got rest CU cuz now I'm on his [ __ ] side the uh there's
- 1:04:52there's two explanations for this m there's two explanations either uh the
- 1:04:57first of which is your explanation which is that people used to respect the
- 1:05:01Sacred Space of the cinema more than they do now yeah right the second is
- 1:05:05that we're just getting old people always did it and we just didn't notice
- 1:05:09or care and now we do and that's possible I I am worried it's the second
- 1:05:14one yeah I worry about that too sometimes when I'm like [ __ ] kids oh
- 1:05:18no yeah it's not just kids Matt I hate people in their
- 1:05:2420s right self-righteous no I know I know entitled
- 1:05:31[ __ ] entitled ridiculous [ __ ] I know it's ridicul get over yourself all right
- 1:05:36you don't know anything is this what my parents thought about me is this what it must be
- 1:05:43seriously people in their 20s shut the [ __ ] up come back to me when your
- 1:05:48parents are dead and you're divorced right and then watch [ __ ] don't
- 1:05:54breathe in silence then come to the [ __ ] yeah yeah and you watch it quietly
- 1:06:00thinking to yourself my life is a lot like this a blind man stumbling the dark
- 1:06:05trying to kill me metaphorically speaking y oh
- 1:06:12dear that's the other thing too we went out this another example is um we went
- 1:06:18out in Boston on the weekend and uh and
- 1:06:24all of the bars in the area where we were had lines outside you have to line
- 1:06:28up to get in and I was like I'm not I don't do that I'm not doing that like no
- 1:06:33that's a I can drink literally anywhere including at my own home I think why would
- 1:06:39iine yeah and it was such a weird like I've never done it before I've never
- 1:06:43lined up and I'm like you know you do you do as you do but it was just such a
- 1:06:47weird thing that I was like I don't think I line up for
- 1:06:50bars this is a weird thing that I don't like am I that guy I don't I'm thinking
- 1:06:56if if I have to line up out here what's it like in
- 1:07:01there yeah I sounds like a [ __ ] nightmare
- 1:07:06yeah so uh this clown sighting article
- 1:07:11was of interest to me uh apparently especially since I mean this this might
- 1:07:17this might affect you down the track if this spreads out right so and uh the
- 1:07:22fact that they they've reached out to Stephen King for comment made me laugh
- 1:07:27so um there's I'll remind you that we want to Stephen King for
- 1:07:32comment that's right he he didn't say anything he didn't say a
- 1:07:36word um they're doing a remake of it uh so they've released some photos of uh
- 1:07:43one of the scar guards as um as you do as Penny wise and everything they're in
- 1:07:49all films now um but also there have
- 1:07:54been uh an incre aot it's been a huge increase in in clown sightings random
- 1:07:59clown sightings right and like you know not not just at parties and stuff like
- 1:08:05that just [ __ ] out and about doing weird [ __ ] so uh for
- 1:08:10example uh people have been terrorized by them one man had to chase off
- 1:08:16somebody with a machete this case here right it says let me go let me read this for the
- 1:08:22St cuz the way this articles worded made me laugh last week the police Department
- 1:08:26of a Greensboro North Carolina neighborhood began receiving several
- 1:08:29calls that clowns as in face painted big shoe wearing clowns were popping up all
- 1:08:34over the neighborhood and terrifying local residents it's
- 1:08:38a yeah in one instance a man chased one of the offenders with a machete in
- 1:08:43another a pair of clowns attempted to lure children into the woods with God
- 1:08:48knows what intent right yeah and this is the next sentence while at least one of
- 1:08:53these reports was later determined to be a ho yeah do which
- 1:08:57one and if you click through to the source M it's not the one where they
- 1:09:03tried to lure the children into the woods [ __ ] right the [ __ ] terrifying
- 1:09:07one right was that not even a clown was doing anything dodgy that a man with a
- 1:09:12machete chased a clown yeah that was the hoax that was a hoax the other stuff is
- 1:09:18real [ __ ] me so it just made me laugh I'm like like who wrote this well I I
- 1:09:23tell you who wrote this it was written by Jared Jones but if you're luring
- 1:09:27children into the woods Matt right I'm I'm pretty sure God knows what
- 1:09:33intent isn't really relevant because I could probably guess within three
- 1:09:37guesses what you're going to do to those kids you know what I mean like there's
- 1:09:40not that many things you can do with lured kids out in the woods
- 1:09:46right sure frisbe if it was all above board you wouldn't have to lure them
- 1:09:51would you and you wouldn't have to do it in the woods yeah that's right you don't
- 1:09:55do that unless it's it's yeah yeah it's not it's not good whatever it is yeah I
- 1:10:01was luring kids into a dark Forest to trade playing cards with them play I
- 1:10:06knew someone to play Pokémon go with yeah oh God we haven't talked about that
- 1:10:11maybe we could wait till Luke's back the new um Pokémon go plus thing we we'll do
- 1:10:16that when Luke's back yeah so there's clowns there's clowns everywhere
- 1:10:21terrorizing people trying to you know kidnap kitties uh and and they contacted
- 1:10:26Stephen King mhm and he basically just wrote back and said I don't know why
- 1:10:31people are scared of clowns although he did say this if I saw
- 1:10:37a clown lurking under a Lonely Bridge or peering up at me from a sewer grate with
- 1:10:41or without balloons I'd be scared too yeah of course of course literally
- 1:10:47anyone doing that would be [ __ ] terrifying yeah that's true if I looked down and saw
- 1:10:53anything anything looking up from a sewer I would be
- 1:10:58like yeah I mean you could look down and
- 1:11:03see mil Jovovich right creepily peering up at
- 1:11:09you from under a sewer grade and I guarantee you'd shrick yeah you wouldn't
- 1:11:15be like you waitting for me m
- 1:11:18pass that's [ __ ] terrifying [ __ ]
- 1:11:22hell uh this article made me laugh a lot
- 1:11:25uh emergency response was called they had to call the the ambulance out to a
- 1:11:31school in uh in Texas I think in Ohio in
- 1:11:35Ohio my bad uh after 40 students ate the
- 1:11:40world's hottest chili and uh and had to be hospitalized because some of them were
- 1:11:46uh breaking out in hives and and rashes and and stuff and also there's an
- 1:11:51article that it links to that says man goes temporarily deaf after after eating
- 1:11:56world's spiciest noodles which I really enjoyed what I mostly enjoy it for the
- 1:12:01picture and I really hope that's real because this man just looks in trouble
- 1:12:06yeah he's just he's eaten the noodles and gone deaf like that's hilarious but
- 1:12:11yeah so uh a bunch of kids some kid must have I don't know where he got these
- 1:12:15Chili Peppers from he um took them into school and uh and they all eat them and
- 1:12:20they had to be hospitalized yeah so these uh these chilies right
- 1:12:26are uh like a not GM but they're
- 1:12:32they're what do you what do you call it when you just [ __ ] graft a bunch of
- 1:12:36different plants together to create yeah they're like designed to be hot to be
- 1:12:41really right made Made in India right yeah right the uh the boot Jolokia
- 1:12:47pepper yeah has a scoval rating of over 1 million units uh compared to the 8,000
- 1:12:53held by Tobasco source yeah now see I I like hot hot food but I would not eat
- 1:12:59this I don't think no no neither would I in fact when
- 1:13:04I was in New York the other week we went to uh they have a there's a store there
- 1:13:09that sells like infused viners and oils
- 1:13:12and salts uh it's and they have a salt that is infused with the ghost chili
- 1:13:19pepper and it's got a big sign because you can taste it and it says taste one grain only
- 1:13:25wow uh and so I did and I got to say it
- 1:13:30impressive that a grain of salt can can have that much [ __ ] heat in it it was
- 1:13:36yeah right pretty cool so one of the kids eighth grader Cody Schmidt sounds
- 1:13:41like a madeup name but it isn't uh had this to say about the ordeal we all
- 1:13:47drank like 10 cartons of milk they were quote really
- 1:13:52hot yeah I bet yeah this is like
- 1:13:57uh I don't understand I like chili right but I don't understand this
- 1:14:03trend I mean I get why but killing yourself from the inside out yeah right
- 1:14:08like so they've bred these ones to be super hot but then they also make those
- 1:14:11things where they like it's they just extract the um the Caps the whatever it
- 1:14:16is the the the stuff that hurts and then make it into an Essence and then you can
- 1:14:21go to like because you can buy you know uh chicken wings here with some [ __ ]
- 1:14:26that they've cooked up in a lab that's you know a million times hotter than
- 1:14:31than anything you would find in a chili like why would you want that I don't
- 1:14:35understand like other than being drunk of [ __ ] yeah my guess I just I'd
- 1:14:42rather enjoy the wings cuz isn't the point of eating eating hot wings
- 1:14:47something so delicious as Wings yeah yeah they they hot wings taste good but
- 1:14:51not when my [ __ ] tongue falls out when I'm eating them yeah
- 1:14:55and you know what [ __ ] eating chili is not going to impress me all right rub
- 1:15:00caps on your dick if you want me to be really impressed all right if you want
- 1:15:04to show me how much of a [ __ ] man you are when you get here we'll go out for
