- 0:02Speaker 1: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven, It is Gabe
- 0:05Speaker 1: and Angie a beautiful Thursday Sunshine and seventy seven.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Today.
- 0:15Speaker 3: The deadline has come and gone.
- 0:17Speaker 4: You now have to have a real ID to board
- 0:21Speaker 4: domestic flights, and if you don't, well, you can still travel,
- 0:25Speaker 4: but they are going to put like more security scrutiny
- 0:29Speaker 4: on people who do not have that little gold star
- 0:32Speaker 4: on their ID.
- 0:33Speaker 1: If your flight is at noon, you might as well
- 0:36Speaker 1: get there at six am.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly. But that's what airport beers are for, right, I.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Mean, yeah, if you just want to there is something
- 0:43Speaker 1: kind of nice about being out of the airport way
- 0:45Speaker 1: too early, Yeah, and enjoying you know, a couple of
- 0:48Speaker 1: dope beverages before even hop on the plane.
- 0:50Speaker 4: It's because it's lawless in an airport in terms of
- 0:53Speaker 4: bood and bevery.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Wild wild west.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yes, but I did.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Want to know like more security screw, because I've already
- 1:01Speaker 4: gotten stopped by security first great, yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 3: For strange things.
- 1:05Speaker 4: We asked on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page,
- 1:08Speaker 4: and you can call her text seven oh one two
- 1:11Speaker 4: eight zero one nine eight seven why did you get
- 1:14Speaker 4: stopped at security? For me?
- 1:17Speaker 3: I have this. This is like TMI.
- 1:19Speaker 4: But I have this supplement called ovasatol that I take
- 1:23Speaker 4: to help me when it's my girly time of the
- 1:26Speaker 4: month and I'm in a rage and my hormones are
- 1:28Speaker 4: making me break out, and it's this. It's this supplement
- 1:34Speaker 4: that's like it comes in.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Like a big like tub jar.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I did not know where you were going with that.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, well neither did security. So I had it with
- 1:43Speaker 4: me in my carry on and then you know it,
- 1:45Speaker 4: get it gets pulled over to the to the bad side.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Ma'am, what are you carrying?
- 1:50Speaker 4: And the guy pulls it out and he looks at
- 1:53Speaker 4: it strange, and I said, that's a supplement I take
- 1:56Speaker 4: for my torrential menstruation.
- 1:59Speaker 3: And he gave me the most bizarre looking like okay,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and he just put it right back in and I
- 2:04Speaker 3: got to go.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I didn't want to ask anything.
- 2:06Speaker 3: He was like, no, I don't need to. I don't
- 2:08Speaker 3: get paid enough for this, right.
- 2:10Speaker 4: But there were some good comments on Facebook.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never ever been stopped by air, not once.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I did one time have like the metal detector go
- 2:18Speaker 1: off for a belt I had on, but that was
- 2:20Speaker 1: literally Yet they were just like, oh, can you take
- 2:22Speaker 1: the belt off just for a belt? Oh?
- 2:23Speaker 4: I wear my hair in a bun when I go
- 2:25Speaker 4: through the airport, and they always check my bun just
- 2:29Speaker 4: to make sure I don't have razor blades in it.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I don't know, right, Amanda chimed in Amanda criter. She said,
- 2:36Speaker 1: lesson learn, do not put a bag of epsoen salt
- 2:39Speaker 1: in your carry on. Our room at the resort came
- 2:42Speaker 1: with a big shakuzzi tub, so I thought it'd be nice,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and I didn't think it was a big deal.
- 2:46Speaker 2: It hadn't been opened.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Wrong.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It took forever to get through security at Hector.
- 2:52Speaker 2: My husband wasn't impressed.
- 2:54Speaker 1: We also had Candice, who said, apparently bringing sand home.
- 2:58Speaker 2: From can Kun in a baggy not a good idea.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, she thinks sand is that doesn't even
- 3:05Speaker 1: look like any kind of like drug or anything.
- 3:08Speaker 4: I guess you would know, Gabe, don't carry unless.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Never mind keep it pushing, that's right.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We also have Jane, who I have so many questions
- 3:20Speaker 1: for this, but she says, don't wear underwear with metal
- 3:25Speaker 1: on them. Oh, like, pure, what underwear have metal on them?
- 3:30Speaker 1: And what am I missing here?
- 3:31Speaker 3: It's the underwire.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Baby, you officially need a real ID to hop on
- 3:39Speaker 1: an airplane a domestic flight. Now, you could still fly
- 3:42Speaker 1: without it, but essentially you're just gonna have to wait
- 3:46Speaker 1: for a billion years in line or going through security.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So either get the real idea or just be prepared
- 3:52Speaker 1: to wait in line. And we were talking about times
- 3:56Speaker 1: we were stopped by airport security. Let us know if
- 3:59Speaker 1: you've ever been stopped at seven oh one two eight
- 4:01Speaker 1: zero one seven, Jordan, have you ever been soot by
- 4:05Speaker 1: airport security? Yeah?
- 4:07Speaker 6: Actually, let me go backwards and tell you whysa.
- 4:11Speaker 1: And it was.
- 4:11Speaker 6: Because I went to go visit my mom in Florida
- 4:14Speaker 6: and I hadn't stayed with my mom in a long time,
- 4:15Speaker 6: and she reached out to my wife and what kind
- 4:17Speaker 6: of snacks does he like? And I was going through
- 4:19Speaker 6: a pop tart phase, so my mom bought me a
- 4:24Speaker 6: forty eight pack of pop tarts from Costco.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I get there.
- 4:29Speaker 6: I only had one pack of pop Tarts because I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 6: I'm not that obsessed with pop tarts. And then my
- 4:33Speaker 6: mom was like, can you please just take these because
- 4:35Speaker 6: otherwise they're going to sit in our pantry forever. So
- 4:38Speaker 6: I just had a carry on bag, but I stuffed
- 4:40Speaker 6: it in there this box with forty eight well forty
- 4:43Speaker 6: six now pop tarts anyway to the airport and they
- 4:48Speaker 6: run it through the TSA scanner. But when you think
- 4:51Speaker 6: about what pop tarts are, they are nicely lined up
- 4:54Speaker 6: aluminum bags of pop tarts, And so in the TSA
- 4:59Speaker 6: scanner they thought I was just bringing a bomb that
- 5:02Speaker 6: was getting ready to pop.
- 5:06Speaker 1: What they do do they do? They pull you out
- 5:07Speaker 1: of the line. What happens. I've never gotten stopped by
- 5:10Speaker 1: airport security before.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Yeah, well they they pulled me out and they said,
- 5:14Speaker 6: we need to check your bag, and they opened up
- 5:15Speaker 6: the bag and they thought, you know, it was pop tarts,
- 5:18Speaker 6: but they realized it was strawberry more and not like
- 5:21Speaker 6: you know, our sing or. I don't know what you
- 5:23Speaker 6: make a bomb with.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But you aren't a danger to public safety though, is
- 5:27Speaker 1: what it sounded like?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Just to your health?
- 5:30Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 5:30Speaker 6: No, it was just a big old fat rolling in there.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I feel like that'd be the name of like a
- 5:37Speaker 1: like a cruddy garage band.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Oh stop for popstarts off for pop.
- 5:48Speaker 3: That sound is very.

- 7:18Speaker 2: There's quite a bit a few of them in there.
- 7:19Speaker 2: But if you are ready, so are we.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with nineteen nineteen.
- 7:26Speaker 1: All right, as Angie goes to the board, nineteen reveals.
- 7:31Speaker 3: One hundred seventy five dollars.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Right, that's not bady, and we'll go with forty four.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Forty four and forty four reveals.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Four hundred seventy five dollars.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I swear, Kyla from the angle I'm sitting at at
- 7:50Speaker 1: the board, I thought you won the first shot.
- 7:54Speaker 6: That'd be cool.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Well, thanks on, well, thank you so much for getting
- 7:59Speaker 2: hold of us.
- 7:59Speaker 1: We appreciate you did help someone else out potentially to win,
- 8:02Speaker 1: and who knows your name will be going back on

- 8:07Speaker 5: All right, all right, thanks day, you have a good day, Kyl.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Darn it, I thought we could have got one for
- 8:13Speaker 1: one that would have been sweet. Well, the good news
- 8:15Speaker 1: is you do have another chance coming up at ten eleven,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and you could be a winner with today's Big Money board,
- 8:22Speaker 1: brought to you by Little Saul Research.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Do you call your MoMA.
- 8:28Speaker 3: No, I want you to know if you need anything,
- 8:30Speaker 3: don't be shy.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Okay, there are no rules in this house.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Not like a regular mom.
- 8:35Speaker 5: I'm a cool mom.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Mother's Day is right around the corner.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And if you're starting to feel guilty about not talking
- 8:40Speaker 1: a dear old mom on the phone, well there's no
- 8:44Speaker 1: bad time to correct that than on Mother's.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Day, right, I mean, especially if you have a cool.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Mom and I have a cool mom, do you really.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she's the badest be thus far.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Sure, all right, I like that.
- 8:55Speaker 1: According to this poll, two thousand US adults, so this
- 9:00Speaker 1: was about twenty five percent admit to not calling their
- 9:04Speaker 1: mom enough. And I think we could just kind of
- 9:08Speaker 1: overlap that with parents. You know, dad never really wants
- 9:10Speaker 1: to be on the phone, but he's always kind of
- 9:12Speaker 1: listening in the background, you know, and he's just yelling
- 9:14Speaker 1: stuff while on speak her phone.
- 9:16Speaker 2: They're kind of talking to both of us. Is that
- 9:18Speaker 2: just me?
- 9:18Speaker 1: We're kind of talking to both of them at the
- 9:20Speaker 1: same time. I'd probably call my mom. I'd say once
- 9:24Speaker 1: a week or so, maybe twice once a week is good.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It kind of depends. Yeah, here's the thing.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I call my mom a lot, like a lot, and
- 9:32Speaker 4: I get really offended when she doesn't answer the phone.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Excuse me, I'm the light of your life. What are
- 9:38Speaker 4: you doing that you're not answering my phone call? Living
- 9:41Speaker 4: your own life? No, ridiculous.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I don't like it. I don't accept that.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I gi'ds irrationally upset when I call my mom or
- 9:48Speaker 1: dad and they like don't hear their phone. Because growing
- 9:51Speaker 1: up in high school and when you're in your young
- 9:53Speaker 1: twenties or whatever, you're my parents.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Just when I call you you answer, you know, right? Oh,
- 9:59Speaker 2: oh weird.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Now that we're getting into our age where we can't
- 10:02Speaker 1: hear very well, all of a sudden your phones broke?
- 10:06Speaker 2: How that works?
- 10:07Speaker 3: Why didn't you keep that energy?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven William?
- 10:14Speaker 2: How often do you call your parents? Man?
- 10:16Speaker 5: My parents probably maybe once a week.
- 10:19Speaker 6: They got enough. I don't need to talk to them
- 10:20Speaker 6: every single day.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Plus they got their own.
- 10:22Speaker 6: Stuff going on. I'm sure they don't want me calling
- 10:25Speaker 6: them all the time.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Do you think that they want William to call more?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yes? Of course. Here's the thing.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I'm one of four. There's two girls, two boys, me.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And my sister.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I don't think my mom cares if we call her,
- 10:38Speaker 4: but the precious baby boys if they don't call her,
- 10:42Speaker 4: then it's the end of the world.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Mother's Day right around the corner, you know, we wanted
- 10:49Speaker 1: to know, do you call your mom enough? Are you
- 10:51Speaker 1: feeling guilty about not getting a hold of mom enough?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Or you know what, we could just round dad on
- 10:55Speaker 1: into this too. Dad's always sort of around.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's Mother's Day, so we're gonna say that's
- 11:00Speaker 4: that's true.
- 11:02Speaker 1: True. Do you, like, for example, right at my house,
- 11:06Speaker 1: when I need like how to get somewhere or how
- 11:10Speaker 1: to fix something or what have you, I called dad
- 11:13Speaker 1: right because I know it's gonna be like or to
- 11:15Speaker 1: talk about like a wild or something stupid.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I called Dad when it's like I just want to chit.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Chat, say hey, shoot the breeze, see all life's going.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I call mom.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean my dad being dead, so that.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Doesn't really work out for you.
- 11:32Speaker 3: No, I don't call him, but it's fine. We were strange.
- 11:35Speaker 3: It's not a big deal. But but I call my
- 11:37Speaker 3: mom for everything.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 4: And the thing is, though, I will say, as much
- 11:42Speaker 4: as earlier I was like I call my mom all
- 11:45Speaker 4: the time, I did get.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Into a little bit of a fight with her.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Really, yeah, she listened just mother daughter drama. Sure if
- 11:54Speaker 4: you know, you know, but I I didn't.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Call her for a month. I had talked to her.
- 12:01Speaker 4: I had last talked to her on April fifth, and
- 12:04Speaker 4: then finally because I couldn't take it anymore, and.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I thought she was gonna call me, but she didn't.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I called her.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Wrong button. Sorry.
- 12:14Speaker 4: I called her on May fifth and she was like,
- 12:17Speaker 4: you know, it has been one month since you called
- 12:20Speaker 4: your mom. And I was like, okay, but you could
- 12:22Speaker 4: have called me, and she was like, Bud, you have
- 12:25Speaker 4: called me. And so I regret that I went a
- 12:29Speaker 4: whole month. I made sure to at least call her
- 12:31Speaker 4: before Mother's Day because I didn't want to be the
- 12:33Speaker 4: first time I called her since the fight.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I didn't want it to be Mother's Day.
- 12:36Speaker 2: And then she got all, your only calling here.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Because it's Mother's Day. I see, how'd you are?
- 12:42Speaker 2: Well, we do have Nadia on the phone.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Nadia, how often you call your mom or just call
- 12:46Speaker 1: your parents in general?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Honestly, I called my parents all the time.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Sometimes for real stuff and just sometimes to rant it
- 12:53Speaker 1: out traffic or ask how long chicken lasts in the fridge.
- 12:57Speaker 6: They act like they're a noise, but I know they
- 13:00Speaker 6: secretly love it.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Oh for sure.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yes one.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Google has come out with a bunch of stats, the
- 13:14Speaker 1: top things that American kids have been googling about adults.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Oh gosh, what, Well, I.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Don't really have kids, so and I'm not really an adult.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I might need your help here, Angie. I might need
- 13:29Speaker 1: you to help answer some of these questions.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Okay, as the resident adults.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, as the resident mom here due to lack of
- 13:36Speaker 1: options twenty seven All right, so here, for example, here's
- 13:40Speaker 1: one of those questions.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Okay, why are adults so mean?
- 13:45Speaker 2: Why are adults so mean?
- 13:47Speaker 3: Gabe? Is that my son?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Do you need me to play it again for you?
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yes?
- 13:51Speaker 5: Why are adults so mean?
- 13:53Speaker 2: That sound familiar?
- 13:54Speaker 3: Is that eighten?
- 13:55Speaker 2: That is your son? Yes?
- 13:58Speaker 4: Yes?
- 13:59Speaker 3: What did you talk to him?
- 14:01Speaker 2: Do you remember there's a.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Video on the big ninety eight point seven Facebook page
- 14:05Speaker 1: that we did for clean up Week?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Oh dumb, y'all, I'm dumb. Yeah, but you came over.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, while you were working on that video. I was like, Aiden,
- 14:12Speaker 1: can you help me with a bit real quick for tomorrow?
- 14:14Speaker 4: Oh?
- 14:14Speaker 3: That's funny?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Okay, So, why is Aiden wondering why adults are so mean? Angie?
- 14:19Speaker 2: Could you let us know that?
- 14:20Speaker 3: No?
- 14:20Speaker 2: That is one of the top googled questions from kids.
- 14:23Speaker 4: The world has beat us down. They'll know, they'll find
- 14:26Speaker 4: out that's why.
- 14:27Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Here's another one of the most googled questions about adults
- 14:31Speaker 1: from American kids.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Why are adults so obsessed with Disney?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Why are adults so obsessed with Disney? You'd be the
- 14:37Speaker 1: one to answer this.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I actually don't know the answer to that.
- 14:41Speaker 4: When Disney adults are an interesting breed.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Here is another question from kids about adults.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Why are adults? Who is busy?
- 14:53Speaker 3: Okay, so you got my kid Liam in on it.
- 14:56Speaker 2: They both participated by here's Liam again?
- 15:00Speaker 5: Are adults always busy?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Why are adults always busy? Thank you Liam for helping me.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Out, Liam, because of you. Bruh.
- 15:07Speaker 4: We're busy because we don't just do things for ourselves.
- 15:09Speaker 4: We have to do things for everybody else too, including
- 15:12Speaker 4: our kids.
- 15:13Speaker 1: All right, all right, here's another one of the top
- 15:15Speaker 1: questions asked.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Why are adults always so reasonable?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Why are adults always so unreasonable?
- 15:26Speaker 3: I don't have a good answer for that one.
- 15:28Speaker 4: I don't know I was born this way.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Now, are you feeling personally at.
- 15:35Speaker 1: All?
- 15:36Speaker 3: Right?
- 15:36Speaker 1: I have two more for you here, questions American kids
- 15:39Speaker 1: are googling about adults?
- 15:41Speaker 5: Why are adults so stupid?
- 15:44Speaker 1: This is a real question. I did not make these up,
- 15:47Speaker 1: by the way, and this is real.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Aiden's a teenager. I bet he loved saying that, why.

- 17:39Speaker 4: have left on the curb, and then.
- 17:41Speaker 3: He goes up.
- 17:42Speaker 4: He plays a little tune on the keys, and then
