- 0:01Stu does America.
- 0:05Welcome to Pseudos America.
- 0:06Hope you had an excellent weekend.
- 0:08We've got a lot to get to.
- 0:09Dan Andros is here to talk about a couple of very important topics,
- 0:12Israel
- 0:14and Sidney Sweeney.
- 0:15Uh,
- 0:16and one's might is slightly more important,
- 0:18but we'll get to that here in a little bit.
- 0:19We're gonna start though by doing Texas Democrats,
- 0:22a vision of courage.
- 0:24Yes,
- 0:24the Texas Democrats
- 0:26are on the run again.
- 0:28Texas Democrats decamp,
- 0:29that's what they're calling it,
- 0:30decamping.
- 0:31They've decamped to Illinois
- 0:33to deny Republicans a quorum
- 0:35on redistricting.
- 0:36Yes,
- 0:36they've run away from the state to avoid votes
- 0:39because they don't want,
- 0:40uh,
- 0:40Texas to
- 0:42do their,
- 0:43you know,
- 0:43their legal right,
- 0:44which is redistricting in the middle of a 10-year period.
- 0:48Uh,
- 0:48and the Democrats,
- 0:49to that note,
- 0:49released a brand new theme song.
- 0:56did
- 1:03he chickened out.
- 1:06I never
- 1:08did a very brave retreat.
- 1:12Ah yes,
- 1:12the brave Sir Robin of the Democratic Party,
- 1:14they're gone.
- 1:15They're gone now.
- 1:16They have,
- 1:17uh,
- 1:17fled the state.
- 1:19The Texas State House Democrats fled,
- 1:21uh,
- 1:21filed off buses and Ubers
- 1:24into Cram
- 1:25County Party headquarters at a strip mall Saturday night alongside
- 1:28JB Pritzker,
- 1:29the horrible.
- 1:30Governor of Illinois rail against what they charged was a racist,
- 1:34unfair,
- 1:34and undemocratic attempt to overhaul the Lone Star State's political map.
- 1:38Texas House Democratic Caucus
- 1:40chair Gene Wu said he believed about 57 Democrats have left the state,
- 1:44with the bulk staying in Illinois for at least the immediate future.
- 1:47Other House Democrats were in Boston
- 1:49and
- 1:50Albany.
- 1:50Now why would they go to Illinois?
- 1:53Well,
- 1:54It's mostly JB Pritzker.
- 1:55Pritzker says the Texas Democrats who fled the state
- 1:58will be protected amid arrest threats.
- 2:01So the Republicans are saying,
- 2:02well,
- 2:02we could technically arrest them for not doing their job.
- 2:04And
- 2:04it's interesting because like when you have a state,
- 2:07like if we were,
- 2:09let's say we,
- 2:09uh,
- 2:10decided we're gonna pass a bill to build a new highway,
- 2:12and we're gonna spend $100 million on this new highway,
- 2:15and we started spending the money,
- 2:16we gave it to the,
- 2:17uh,
- 2:17construction companies,
- 2:18and then they didn't build the highway,
- 2:20what would happen?
- 2:23This is what we're doing with our representatives.
- 2:24We're paying them
- 2:26to be representatives,
- 2:27to represent their districts,
- 2:28and they're not showing up to work.
- 2:30They're just stealing money from taxpayers,
- 2:33and normally that's a crime.
- 2:36But,
- 2:36uh,
- 2:36so that's the reason for the threat.
- 2:37Now JB Pritzker is saying he's going to make sure he stops all that.
- 2:41Uh,
- 2:41Pritzker said they're here in Illinois.
- 2:42We're going to do everything we can to protect
- 2:44every single one of them and make sure that,
- 2:45because we know
- 2:46they're,
- 2:47they're doing the right thing and we know they're following the law.
- 2:49Pritzker told reporters at a press conference
- 2:52Sunday night alongside Texas state lawmakers.
- 2:54If Ken Paxton,
- 2:55who doesn't follow the law.
- 2:57It's the leaders of Texas who are attempting not to follow the law,
- 3:00referring to Texas' Republican attorney general.
- 3:03They're the ones
- 3:04that need to be held accountable.
- 3:05Now,
- 3:05I'm not exactly sure what JB Pritzker can do to protect
- 3:08Texas Democrats in his state,
- 3:11you know,
- 3:11other than stand in front of them,
- 3:12because he's incredibly large.
- 3:14So if someone's coming to get them,
- 3:15they'd have to walk all the way around Pritzker.
- 3:18And if you've ever walked around like,
- 3:19you know,
- 3:19uh,
- 3:20a stadium,
- 3:21you know how long it takes to get there,
- 3:23and,
- 3:23and,
- 3:24you know,
- 3:24they can kind of stay on the opposite side.
- 3:25Like if the,
- 3:26if you're coming for them,
- 3:27you could go around Pritzker,
- 3:28and then
- 3:29the,
- 3:29the representatives could kind of slowly move
- 3:32around Pritzker at the same time,
- 3:33kind of like an orbiting planet,
- 3:35and that might protect you because they'd never actually see the representatives.
- 3:39Um,
- 3:39so that's at least one way he could protect them.
- 3:40But outside of that,
- 3:41I'm not exactly sure what he can do.
- 3:42The law is the law.
- 3:44And it would be an interesting,
- 3:45I guess,
- 3:46an interesting thing to see
- 3:48one state stand up against another state's arrest.
- 3:50It does happen from time to time.
- 3:51Uh,
- 3:52what can happen to these representatives?
- 3:53Well,
- 3:54first of all,
- 3:54they can get fined a heck of a lot.
- 3:55Texas Democrats face the risk of a $500 dollars a day fine.
- 3:59The Republican-controlled legislature
- 4:01approved the punishment in 2023,
- 4:042 years after state Democrats left last time
- 4:06for three weeks to block an elections bill from progressing.
- 4:10Abbott is threatening House Democrats with removal and felony charges.
- 4:14Uh,
- 4:14Democrats hatched a deliberate plan not to show up for work
- 4:17for the specific purpose of abdicating the duties of their office
- 4:20and thwarting the chamber's business.
- 4:22The absconded Democrat House members were elected to meet
- 4:24and vote on legislation,
- 4:25not to prevent votes
- 4:27that may not go their way.
- 4:29This is of course.
- 4:30Very,
- 4:30very true.
- 4:31Abbott is standing up and saying,
- 4:33I'm not going to put up with this.
- 4:34I'm done.
- 4:35I'm done dealing with these people.
- 4:36Abbott also suggested that he would seek felony charges against Democrats,
- 4:40claiming that some have violated
- 4:41bribery laws.
- 4:42I will use my full extradition authority to demand the return
- 4:46to Texas of any potential out of state felons,
- 4:48and that.
- 4:50Focus on that bribery word for just a moment.
- 4:52I don't have any evidence of bribery here.
- 4:55Um,
- 4:55I have not,
- 4:55uh,
- 4:56seen that evidence,
- 4:57if,
- 4:57if any of it exists
- 4:58as of yet.
- 4:59What I will say here
- 5:01is that,
- 5:01uh,
- 5:01JB Pritzker wants to run for president in 2028.
- 5:04There's a reason why
- 5:06these Texas Democrat
- 5:07Democrats are going to Illinois.
- 5:09Like,
- 5:10I don't know if you noticed this,
- 5:10it's not the next state.
- 5:12They're not hanging out right across,
- 5:13like there's a,
- 5:13an Indian reservation right across the state line in Texas.
- 5:16They could all hang out at the casino,
- 5:18have a great time,
- 5:19and make all the points and all the media would still show up for it.
- 5:22They went to Illinois for a reason,
- 5:24and one of the reasons they're in Illinois.
- 5:27is because JB Pritzker has lots and lots of money.
- 5:30He's one of the wealthiest guys in politics,
- 5:33not quite to the Trump level,
- 5:34but
- 5:35you know,
- 5:35in the vicinity.
- 5:36He's a billionaire type guy.
- 5:38And he's going to be throwing a lot of money around,
- 5:41uh,
- 5:41and people,
- 5:41there's a lot of people inside the political world,
- 5:43especially on the left,
- 5:45that recognize that,
- 5:47know that there's a lot of money coming from JB Pritzker in the next few years,
- 5:50uh,
- 5:50most likely,
- 5:51and are realizing they should get on his good side right now.
- 5:54That's a thing that's happening.
- 5:56Uh,
- 5:56I talked to a lot of people in Washington.
- 5:57Everyone knows about it.
- 5:58Everyone is playing this guy.
- 6:00Everyone knows,
- 6:01uh,
- 6:01you know,
- 6:02the consultant class is like,
- 6:03look.
- 6:04Our next gravy train,
- 6:05our next Bloomberg type gravy train might be coming from this guy.
- 6:08We better get on board right now.
- 6:09Now,
- 6:09he's not Bloomberg wealthy,
- 6:10so it's not gonna be that good of a gravy train.
- 6:12But
- 6:13anyway,
- 6:13that's,
- 6:14uh,
- 6:14maybe the reason why some of these people have chosen Illinois
- 6:17for their,
- 6:17uh little vacation they're taking right now.
- 6:20Now,
- 6:21this is all about redistricting,
- 6:23and it's interesting to see because.
- 6:25I don't like the redistricting process.
- 6:27I don't like the way that it works.
- 6:28I don't like the fact that we draw
- 6:29these little districts and we gerrymandermander them to,
- 6:32to win,
- 6:33uh,
- 6:33you know,
- 6:33as many seats as possible.
- 6:35I kind of wish they were just a bunch of squares.
- 6:36This is how the founders decided it at the beginning,
- 6:39by the way,
- 6:39this is what they wanted,
- 6:40was just a bunch of squares
- 6:41with a certain population in there,
- 6:43and that was it.
- 6:44That's not the way,
- 6:45that's not reality though.
- 6:46And we are,
- 6:47we are,
- 6:47we can all wish for the world that we want,
- 6:50but we are living in the world that we live in.
- 6:52And we have to figure out how to make the best of this
- 6:55because this is the situation that exists.
- 6:58And the question is,
- 6:59is this egregious from Republicans?
- 7:01Is this some insane thing that no one else does,
- 7:03or is this just typical kind of politics in action?
- 7:06And the truth of it is interesting,
- 7:08mid-decade congressional redistricting in Texas,
- 7:12what to know and how it works.
- 7:13This comes from the Texarkana
- 7:15Gazette.
- 7:15In 2025,
- 7:17and Texas is redrawing its congressional districts.
- 7:19If the move seems unusual,
- 7:20that's because it is,
- 7:22though it's not
- 7:22unprecedented.
- 7:24Governor Greg Abbott set the 30-day special session for Monday,
- 7:27adding more than a dozen other items to legislators' to do lists.
- 7:30While the redistricting is traditionally done every 10 years,
- 7:34it's not unheard of to redistrict mid-decade.
- 7:36State Republicans.
- 7:37gained control of the full legislature after the 2002 election
- 7:40and sought to pick up more seats in Congress.
- 7:42Democrats had previously controlled the House,
- 7:44and the congressional maps had been drawn by courts following the 2000 census.
- 7:48This has also happened,
- 7:49I think,
- 7:49I think it happened in Oregon.
- 7:50I think it happened recently in New York.
- 7:52It,
- 7:53it does happen,
- 7:54it's just not super common.
- 7:55So
- 7:55they're sort of like,
- 7:56you know,
- 7:57pushing the envelope a little bit.
- 7:58It,
- 7:58but it's still within the realms
- 8:00of normalized behavior.
- 8:01Gavin Newsom says he is,
- 8:03uh,
- 8:03pissed.
- 8:03He says Trump's going to steal five congressional seats in Texas,
- 8:07gerrymander his way to a 2026 win.
- 8:09Well,
- 8:09two can play at that game.
- 8:11Special sessions,
- 8:12special elections,
- 8:12ballot initiatives,
- 8:13new laws,
- 8:14it's all on the table when democracy is on the line.
- 8:16Now Gavin Newsom,
- 8:16of course,
- 8:17is a,
- 8:18a horrible human being.
- 8:19Uh,
- 8:19there's just really not any way.
- 8:21I don't,
- 8:21is there another way to state a guy who sleeps with his best friend's wife
- 8:26while they're working for his campaign?
- 8:28I
- 8:29I don't,
- 8:30I don't know what else,
- 8:31what other tag you want to put on that,
- 8:33uh,
- 8:33but that's the type of person he is,
- 8:35uh,
- 8:35and I don't even going into the fact that he's out dining
- 8:37at nice restaurants where he's keeping everybody else in the state prison,
- 8:40so in,
- 8:41in prison,
- 8:41so I,
- 8:42I don't know exactly how you,
- 8:43how you
- 8:44categorize a Gavin Newsom other than just calling him horrible,
- 8:47um,
- 8:47but
- 8:48basically,
- 8:49uh,
- 8:49he's wanted to do all these things.
- 8:51He wants to push the envelope as well,
- 8:52and now he's just using Texas as just.
- 8:54for that process.
- 8:55Now,
- 8:55one of the things the Democrats are doing is spreading
- 8:57these maps virally that look really,
- 9:00really gerrymandered.
- 9:01They're like these little slivers of lines and districts.
- 9:03Here's some of them.
- 9:03This is what they look like.
- 9:05They look like little spirals and like little slabs of land that barely connect.
- 9:10Some of them don't even look like they do connect.
- 9:12It's almost like the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
- 9:14Like they are like these are,
- 9:16these are not districts.
- 9:16They're not the squares I was just talking about.
- 9:18And you know,
- 9:20I don't know,
- 9:20they got all panicked about it.
- 9:21Here's another one
- 9:23again,
- 9:23slivers of land,
- 9:24lots of weird north-south districts and
- 9:27districts that curve around each other.
- 9:29They put these out there to scare everyone.
- 9:30Of course,
- 9:31in reality,
- 9:32these are not the maps even being considered.
- 9:36What are they?
- 9:37What did they spread and get millions and millions of likes on?
- 9:40The map generated,
- 9:41uh,
- 9:41garnered the attention of journalists and Democrats
- 9:43alike and generated heated online discussion,
- 9:46but a quick look at the map's data shows that it might not be a serious proposal.
- 9:51For one,
- 9:51the map is listed under the Texas
- 9:53Legislative Council's plans submitted by the public.
- 9:58Tab.
- 9:59When Cron called the uh Texas Legislative Council redistricting office,
- 10:03they confirmed that members of the public sometimes submit maps to the council.
- 10:06In this case,
- 10:07the first map,
- 10:07the one that went viral,
- 10:08was submitted by
- 10:10a private citizen.
- 10:11It's just from some guy.
- 10:13He's like,
- 10:13uh,
- 10:13you know what,
- 10:14I'm gonna make my own map.
- 10:15How about this one?
- 10:15And he submitted it,
- 10:16and that's it.
- 10:17It's not even being considered.
- 10:18Uh,
- 10:19a simple search on the Texas legislator,
- 10:21uh,
- 10:22uh,
- 10:23Legislative council's website revealed the name of the mapmaker.
- 10:26They contacted a person
- 10:28with that name through social media who confirmed they had created the map
- 10:31and answered questions based on the condition that any
- 10:34additional identifying information not be published.
- 10:36He stressed that he is a hobbyist.
- 10:39You thought you were a nerd.
- 10:40Uh,
- 10:41they,
- 10:41100% chance
- 10:43the guy who made that map listens to the show.
- 10:44I know you're out there.
- 10:46There's no other nerdier show than this 11
- 10:49100% chance that guy is listening to this right now.
- 10:53First of all,
- 10:54hilarious,
- 10:54and I,
- 10:55I can't
- 10:56even get mad at you.
- 10:57I,
- 10:58if I'm a hobbyist who's making a map,
- 11:00uh,
- 11:00and then my map is like,
- 11:01I'm like,
- 11:02I'm the,
- 11:02I'm the guy who makes the
- 11:04alternate redistricting maps for Texas.
- 11:07First of all,
- 11:07thank you for listening for so long.
- 11:09We know you're here.
- 11:10Secondly,
- 11:11uh,
- 11:11you should come on the show and explain it because it's uh it's hilarious,
- 11:13even though I know you don't want to be found out.
- 11:15Actually,
- 11:15you'll probably be
- 11:16tortured and fired from your job if you do that,
- 11:17so maybe don't do that,
- 11:18but whatever.
- 11:19He said he stressed he's a hobbyist
- 11:21who is not in any way connected to any political parties,
- 11:23groups or officials,
- 11:24and then he submitted the.
- 11:26Simply as a thought experiment.
- 11:27I love it.
- 11:28He also noted that several other publicly created
- 11:30maps have been submitted submitted by other enthusiasts.
- 11:33Look,
- 11:33we all know
- 11:34you map nerds are enthusiasts to the show,
- 11:37and it's fine,
- 11:38it's OK.
- 11:39I want you to know,
- 11:40you're not alone,
- 11:41OK?
- 11:41There's like 3 other people who are just like you.
- 11:44I would say there are literally dozens of us,
- 11:46but there aren't.
- 11:47It's just you guys.
- 11:48But that's OK.
- 11:49You're as nerdy as I am and I freaking love it.
- 11:52Uh,
- 11:52the Texas GOP
- 11:53is now jabbing at Jasmine Crockett with their proposed new map.
- 11:57She calls a spiteful move in a red flag.
- 11:59This is the one thing where I think Republicans are really screwing up here.
- 12:03And I can't stress this enough,
- 12:05do not
- 12:06redistrict
- 12:07to get
- 12:07Jasmine Crockett out of Congress.
- 12:10I personally would support,
- 12:11as a,
- 12:12as a map hobbyist,
- 12:13I am going to submit a map that has a district just around Jasmine Crockett's house,
- 12:19and I want her to be the only person
- 12:22who's voting,
- 12:23so she wins forever.
- 12:25I want her to be in Congress
- 12:27for eternity.
- 12:28OK.
- 12:29Now,
- 12:29I will admit she's probably
- 12:31so annoying that if other people are in the house with her,
- 12:34they might vote against her and she might lose.
- 12:36But it's a risk I'm willing to take.
- 12:38I think whatever we can do to guarantee Jasmine Crockett never leaves Congress,
- 12:42I am for.
- 12:43Keep
- 12:44Jasmine around.
- 12:45We even have shirts,
- 12:45Jasmine Crockett 28,
- 12:47because we want her to run for president,
- 12:48uh,
- 12:49Stuoesmerch.com,
- 12:50Stuomerch.com,
- 12:51the code is Stu 10.
- 12:52Jasmine Crockett 28
- 12:54for,
- 12:54uh,
- 12:55Democratic nominee only.
- 12:57Nothing.
- 12:58I don't want her to win the presidential election.
- 13:00That would be catastrophic for our nation,
- 13:01but I would like her to win the nomination.
- 13:04Just throwing that out there.
- 13:05OK,
- 13:06um,
- 13:06a couple of things about this,
- 13:08because this is,
- 13:08uh,
- 13:09one of those things where I think we look at the really bad polling,
- 13:12and I have a bunch of polling on the Democratic Party,
- 13:14maybe we'll get to later today or tomorrow,
- 13:17uh,
- 13:17just showing that people hate the Democrats right now.
- 13:20The worst poll numbers they've ever had,
- 13:22people,
- 13:23it's catastrophic,
- 13:24OK.
- 13:25It's easy to feel
- 13:28like things are going really well right now in a lot of ways.
- 13:32It's important to,
- 13:34to tap the brakes on that feeling
- 13:36because we are entering a period here where traditionally,
- 13:40uh,
- 13:40the party in power almost always loses seats.
- 13:43When,
- 13:44when the Republican,
- 13:44and there are a couple of exceptions to this,
- 13:46very few though.
- 13:47You almost always lose seats in that first,
- 13:49um,
- 13:50midterm election,
- 13:51and that is what the Republicans are facing.
- 13:53Now,
- 13:53it might not be catastrophic.
- 13:54The problem is,
- 13:55even if it's not catastrophic,
- 13:56they could still lose the House.
- 13:57They only have a,
- 13:58what is it,
- 13:58a 4 or 5 seat majority.
- 14:00Um,
- 14:00so
- 14:01it is a,
- 14:02you know,
- 14:024 or 5,
- 14:04swap,
- 14:05they could lose the majority.
- 14:06That is a real
- 14:08pickle,
- 14:09uh,
- 14:09to be in.
- 14:10So when you're thinking of this,
- 14:11and the reason why,
- 14:12like you're asking,
- 14:13well,
- 14:13why would they be redistricting?
- 14:14Why are they doing that?
- 14:15They're doing that.
- 14:16Outwardly
- 14:18because they want extra House seats,
- 14:19because they are worried about what's gonna
- 14:20happen in this midterm election in 2026.
- 14:22That is why they're doing it.
- 14:23They're admitting it.
- 14:24They're straight out saying,
- 14:26this is why we're doing this.
- 14:27We want more seats.
- 14:28We think it's more representative.
- 14:29Now,
- 14:30politics,
- 14:30by the way,
- 14:31can be a factor,
- 14:32uh,
- 14:33in these decisions,
- 14:34and that was ruled on in the Supreme Court relatively recently.
- 14:37Um,
- 14:37you can't do it over racial lines.
- 14:38There's a couple of different,
- 14:39um,
- 14:40things,
- 14:40reasons you can't draw certain gerrymandered lines,
- 14:43but politics is not one of them.
- 14:44You can do this.
- 14:45So I mean,
- 14:47ideally I'd like it to be a different thing,
- 14:48but this is basically what's going on here.
- 14:51Republicans are trying to get 5 extra seats because
- 14:53they're worried they're going to lose in 2026.
- 14:55That's what they're doing,
- 14:56straight out.
- 14:57So,
- 14:58if a party is acting that way,
- 15:00we should all realize
- 15:01just because we see bad poll numbers for Democrats,
- 15:03just because we see,
- 15:04you know,
- 15:05decent numbers for Trump at times,
- 15:07don't get too comfortable.
- 15:08This is,
- 15:09there's not a wide margin here.
- 15:11What they're doing right now is a strategy to try to win the midterms,
- 15:15and that is what they're in the middle of doing right now.
- 15:17And this feels,
- 15:18as I said,
- 15:19kind of icky.
- 15:21Like I don't really like the idea of,
- 15:22you know,
- 15:23doing crazy redistricting to win seats.
- 15:25But
- 15:26the Trump era has brought something new to the table,
- 15:29and this is something I,
- 15:29I notice all the time
- 15:31when I talk to friends,
- 15:32what I see on social media,
- 15:34when you see in conservative media coverage.
- 15:36Trump has,
- 15:36uh,
- 15:37uh,
- 15:37has set the,
- 15:38uh,
- 15:38the precedent that it's OK
- 15:40to sort of push these lines as far as you can.
- 15:42Trump likes to do it,
- 15:44uh,
- 15:44people who like Trump will like to do it,
- 15:46and you,
- 15:46you see this phrase used over and over again,
- 15:48this is what I voted for.
- 15:50This is what I voted for,
- 15:51this is what I voted for.
- 15:52And
- 15:54the reason why people voted for that is because they saw Democrats
- 15:57doing it over and over and over and over and over again,
- 16:00and we were the victims of unfair sort of treatment
- 16:03and unfair tactics from the Democrats over and over and over and over and over again,
- 16:07and people got sick of it.
- 16:08And like,
- 16:09I'm not gonna,
- 16:09what,
- 16:10what are we gonna do?
- 16:11We're gonna sit here and get rolled over,
- 16:12over and over again.
- 16:13Like that doesn't seem like a good plan.
- 16:15How can we do this?
- 16:16So,
- 16:17these things that,
- 16:17and this is perfectly legal,
- 16:18this is no,
- 16:19there's no legal line here that's even,
- 16:20we're even close to.
- 16:21I mean,
- 16:21you know,
- 16:21Pritzker aside,
- 16:23uh,
- 16:23he is,
- 16:24um,
- 16:25you know,
- 16:25completely insane,
- 16:26right?
- 16:27Um,
- 16:28he is a guy who's
- 16:29trying to draw attention to himself for a presidential run and
- 16:32saying that it's illegal is just him making it up.
- 16:34In reality,
- 16:35this is legal,
- 16:35they can do it.
- 16:36Um,
- 16:37you might not like it,
- 16:38you might feel a little icky about it,
- 16:40and that's OK.
- 16:41It's good.
- 16:42First of all,
- 16:42it's good to keep contact with that person,
- 16:44right?
- 16:44The person inside of you that's like,
- 16:46hey.
- 16:47I don't know,
- 16:47does this feel right?
- 16:49Don't lose contact with that person.
- 16:50Stay in touch.
- 16:52Hey,
- 16:52write them a letter from time to time,
- 16:54get a text,
- 16:55trade a couple of texts here and there,
- 16:56just to remind yourself,
- 16:57hey,
- 16:57these things are important,
- 16:58you don't wanna go too far off the reservation on this stuff.
- 17:01Um,
- 17:02but Trump has given
- 17:04sort of this permission slip to people to be like,
- 17:06you know what?
- 17:07I'm not going to break rules,
- 17:08but we can bend them here and there.
- 17:10We can push them to their fullest extent before they break,
- 17:13because if,
- 17:13because we're seeing the Democrats do it,
- 17:15and if we don't go that direction,
- 17:17we're just going to wind up getting beaten over the head over and over and over again.
- 17:20So when you say,
- 17:21hey,
- 17:21this is what I voted for,
- 17:23we are there.
- 17:24Trump is doing that.
- 17:25The presidency,
- 17:26I think,
- 17:26to great effect.
- 17:28People are doing this in Congress to great effect.
- 17:30We're seeing this all over the place.
- 17:32Your request to the DJ has been granted.
- 17:35He's playing
- 17:36My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion for you right now.
- 17:39So get out there and dance.
- 17:40It's happening.
- 17:41This is all going on.
- 17:42It's just important to make sure that we don't go too far,
- 17:45that we stay first of all in touch with the Constitution,
- 17:47number one,
- 17:48the law,
- 17:49that's really,
- 17:49really important.
- 17:51And then you have to look at these things and take
- 17:53them seriously and judge them on a case by case basis.
- 17:55This doesn't give you full,
- 17:57you know,
- 17:57full reign to go out there and do whatever the hell you want,
- 18:00but
- 18:01it does give you.
- 18:01I think this era
- 18:03is pretty clear that if you don't play hardball,
- 18:06you're going to get that hardball thrown back in your face and
- 18:09it's going to crack your skull open and nobody wants that either.
- 18:12We've got some other big stories that are kind of related to this.
- 18:15A lot of hardball being played all over the country and the world right now.
- 18:19We'll get into that with Dan Andros next.
- 18:31One of my favorite things is when something
- 18:33that you already love becomes even better,
- 18:36like a,
- 18:36a great sequel,
- 18:37a remastered album,
- 18:39an upgraded classic that actually delivers.
- 18:41It's kind of rare with Hollywood these days,
- 18:43but
- 18:44it's not rare with Rayon.
- 18:45Rayon just pulled off a great one with their fan favorite everyday earbuds classic,
- 18:50now featuring active noise cancellation.
- 18:53I gotta tell you,
- 18:53I love my Rayons,
- 18:54they're awesome,
- 18:55they're way better,
- 18:55like I have the Apple ones,
- 18:57they're way better than that.
- 18:58The only reason I ever stuck to,
- 18:59uh,
- 18:59even held on to the Apple ones
- 19:01was because
- 19:02they,
- 19:02you know,
- 19:03it was that noise cancellation feature.
- 19:05And on planes,
- 19:06everywhere else,
- 19:06the Rayons were perfect,
- 19:07but like on planes,
- 19:08I needed that a little extra boost.
- 19:10Especially if there's some whiny kid behind me,
- 19:12uh,
- 19:12or,
- 19:12you know,
- 19:12uh,
- 19:13somebody just was like,
- 19:14you know,
- 19:15get the,
- 19:15you're sitting right on the engine,
- 19:17you need that noise cancellation.
- 19:18Well,
- 19:19the ones I had at least,
- 19:20didn't have that feature.
- 19:21They've got it now in the everyday earbuds,
- 19:23and these are awesome.
- 19:24They,
- 19:24they,
- 19:24they sound great,
- 19:25uh,
- 19:26they get rid of that background chatter.
- 19:28They really let you dial into whatever you're listening to,
- 19:30whether it is an audiobook or a playlist or an incredible podcast
- 19:35talking to mostly map nerds,
- 19:38uh,
- 19:38that you happen to be a fan of.
- 19:40The sound is fantastic.
- 19:41It's on par with brands that charge double,
- 19:43but Raycons give you the immersive audio
- 19:46experience without that crazy sticker shock,
- 19:478 hours of playtime,
- 19:4832 hour battery life.
- 19:50Uh,
- 19:51you're really,
- 19:51you're gonna like it's got the chargeable case.
- 19:54Um,
- 19:54it's just fantastic.
- 19:55I love these things.
- 19:55You're going to love them too.
- 19:56I buy them for presents for everybody too.
- 19:58It's like my go to,
- 19:59uh,
- 20:00uh,
- 20:00present.
- 20:01Um,
- 20:01for people because
- 20:03everybody loves great headphones and,
- 20:05you know,
- 20:05not everyone's tried the Rayons yet.
- 20:06They always like them better than the alternatives.

- 20:29I'm joined now by Dan Andros.
- 20:31He's managing editor of CBN News,
- 20:33host of CBN Quick Start podcast,
- 20:35which you can of course subscribe to wherever you get your podcast.
- 20:38Dan,
- 20:38thanks for coming on,
- 20:39man.
- 20:39Appreciate it.
- 20:39All right,
- 20:40Stu,
- 20:40thanks for having me.
- 20:41Uh,
- 20:41I've got two things for you,
- 20:42and they're very different.
- 20:43Um,
- 20:44I've got one that's like serious and really important,
- 20:47and then one that's,
- 20:48uh,
- 20:48still kind of important,
- 20:49but also fun.
- 20:51Which one do you want to do first?
- 20:53See,
- 20:54um,
- 20:54alright,
- 20:54let's go with the,
- 20:55let's go with the serious one.
- 20:57Let's get that's serious.
- 20:58I wanna start in Israel,
- 21:00and,
- 21:00uh,
- 21:00this is a to me an infuriating situation that's going on right now.
- 21:04We've had reports of
- 21:05all this famine going on in Gaza that's,
- 21:07you know,
- 21:07not accurate by any measure of what the definition of the word famine is,
- 21:10but.
- 21:11There have been children that have been shown looking like they are starving.
- 21:15We later find out they are instead inflicted with
- 21:18these terrible separate ailments that have nothing to do
- 21:21with their starvation.
- 21:22Their family members also seem to be well fed.
- 21:25And then at the same time all this is happening,
- 21:27it gets the front page of every newspaper in the country.
- 21:30We then start getting images of what's happening to the hostages
- 21:33that are being held by Hamas,
- 21:35and that is in current present tense.
- 21:38They are being held by Hamas currently.
- 21:40Um,
- 21:41and the media coverage,
- 21:43a little different.
- 21:44I don't know if you've noticed that,
- 21:45Dan.
- 21:45Yeah,
- 21:46it's definitely been way more,
- 21:47it's not that they haven't covered,
- 21:48I have seen reports on it,
- 21:50but it's just,
- 21:50it's with the intensity and the
- 21:53front page
- 21:55nature of it.
- 21:55I mean,
- 21:56we saw for a couple of days,
- 21:58Stu,
- 21:58the news headline,
- 21:59maybe even a week,
- 22:01dominated by the headline,
- 22:03starvation fears in Gaza,
- 22:05and they showed,
- 22:06a lot of them showed,
- 22:09uh,
- 22:09you know,
- 22:09AP Reuters,
- 22:10others showed a picture of a boy,
- 22:12a nine year old boy.
- 22:14Who it turns out,
- 22:16wasn't starving.
- 22:17In fact,
- 22:18like you mentioned,
- 22:19the relatives,
- 22:19the mom holding him looked pretty well fed.
- 22:21What is she?
- 22:22She's eating all the food and not giving any to him?
- 22:25Is this what is happening here?
- 22:27Uh,
- 22:27is what they're alleging.
- 22:29But it turns out,
- 22:30according to his own mother,
- 22:32the boy's name who's Mohammed,
- 22:34they,
- 22:34she said he suffers from a muscle disorder for
- 22:37which he receives specialized nutrition and physical therapy.
- 22:41And said he was happy and able to sit upright when they were,
- 22:45uh,
- 22:45when they were provided,
- 22:46when those things were provided to him.
- 22:47So it
- 22:48sounds like,
- 22:49I mean,
- 22:49I'm not saying it's a wonderland in Gaza,
- 22:51but it sounds like this kid is getting some treatment
- 22:55and is suffering from something completely
- 22:58unrelated.
- 22:58Now,
- 22:58I'm not saying that there are no people that are having trouble
- 23:02eating or feeding their family in Gaza.
- 23:04Obviously,
- 23:05it's a war situation,
- 23:06and it's
- 23:07likely horrible in there,
- 23:09but A,
- 23:10that is caused.
- 23:12By Hamas,
- 23:13not being willing
- 23:15to end this war.
- 23:16They want to keep fighting Israel.
- 23:18So if you've got a beef with what's going on,
- 23:22with malnutrition and people,
- 23:24you know,
- 23:24having problems in Gaza,
- 23:26take it up with Hamas.
- 23:27Why are you complaining
- 23:29about Israel at this point?
- 23:30It just,
- 23:31it doesn't make any sense,
- 23:32other than you just hate Israel.
- 23:34Yeah,
- 23:34I mean,
- 23:34it's.
- 23:35It's fascinating because it's so consistent with what Hamas did on October 7th,
- 23:40right?
- 23:40Like
- 23:41they knew they couldn't beat Israel in a war.
- 23:44They knew it was going to cost thousands of lives of people in,
- 23:47in their area,
- 23:48their own fighters,
- 23:49but certainly some innocents were going to be,
- 23:52you know,
- 23:52part of collateral damage in war.
- 23:54They knew all that when they did it.
- 23:56They knew they weren't going to,
- 23:57they couldn't win a physical battle against Israel.
- 24:00They did this because they wanted the world to react the way it's reacting.
- 24:04That's why they went and killed all those people on October 7th,
- 24:07and they were certain,
- 24:08certain
- 24:09that they would win the PR battle,
- 24:11even so certain that they would film these murders.
- 24:14They would film the rapes.
- 24:15They would allow documentation of all these things because they knew
- 24:19the media and the world would still go against Israel.
- 24:23The same thing here.
- 24:25They're in the middle of a PR victory,
- 24:26if you will,
- 24:27with this,
- 24:27with all this starvation talk.
- 24:29This is what they want out of the situation,
- 24:32and they're so confident
- 24:34in their victory
- 24:35when it comes to PR
- 24:36that they're willing at the same time to release footage of hostages
- 24:41starving to death.
- 24:42I mean it is incredible,
- 24:43Dan.
- 24:44That is one of the more incredible things to me.
- 24:46This is not like Israeli propaganda.
- 24:50Uh,
- 24:50that they dug up and found and we're like,
- 24:53oh,
- 24:53are they editing videos like Hamas showed this.
- 24:55They're like,
- 24:56yep,
- 24:57we're gonna put this out there.
- 24:58It's almost like they sit around going,
- 25:01let's,
- 25:01let's see how ridiculous.
- 25:03You know,
- 25:04we can make this.
- 25:05I mean,
- 25:05because I,
- 25:06if you would have put the over-under on it,
- 25:08Stu,
- 25:08of how many days it would have taken after the October 7th attack,
- 25:12because I remember there was like true,
- 25:15kind of everyone seemed horrified there for a few days.
- 25:17It wasn't like,
- 25:18it wasn't like 10 minutes and because I think it was happening over,
- 25:21I forget what day it was,
- 25:21but I feel like it was on a weekend because I started seeing videos when I woke up on
- 25:25Twitter and on X and seeing like,
- 25:28You know,
- 25:29Hamas guys on,
- 25:30I'm like,
- 25:30what are these people doing with it,
- 25:32uh,
- 25:32why are these going viral?
- 25:33And then,
- 25:33you know,
- 25:34once,
- 25:34once I started learning the story,
- 25:36you know,
- 25:36everyone was shocked and horrified.
- 25:38And I feel like that was the global response for,
- 25:40you know,
- 25:40a couple of days.
- 25:41But if you would have predicted right then,
- 25:43Stu,
- 25:44and I remember we probably talked about this,
- 25:46at least off the camera.
- 25:46I don't know if we talked about it on air,
- 25:47like how long till they turn?
- 25:49What,
- 25:49what would you have given it at that point?
- 25:51That,
- 25:51that horrible of attack,
- 25:53they killed 1400 civilians
- 25:56or something in that area.
- 25:57And
- 25:58How long would you have given it if they would have put an over under on it?
- 26:01You know,
- 26:02it's interesting.
- 26:02I,
- 26:02I think I did talk about that on the air,
- 26:05at least on radio and maybe here as well,
- 26:07and I don't know what I said.
- 26:08I,
- 26:08you know,
- 26:08I may have said 1 month,
- 26:09I may have said 6 months.
- 26:10I,
- 26:11I,
- 26:11I may have said a couple of weeks.
- 26:12I don't know what I said.
- 26:13But there was a certainty to it.
- 26:15I remember feeling really sure that it was going to just,
- 26:19after some period of time,
- 26:21once it feels like it's not this current thing going on,
- 26:24you know,
- 26:24like you're in the middle,
- 26:25they're still counting bodies.
- 26:27Once that period passes,
- 26:29the world will turn against Israel,
- 26:31the media will turn against Israel.
- 26:33It happens
- 26:33every single time,
- 26:35and
- 26:36you know we did talk about that off the air as well,
- 26:37like you knew it was coming,
- 26:38it was just a question of how long.
- 26:40Yeah,
- 26:41and I would say I have to go back and look to see,
- 26:43I don't know what you could say,
- 26:44uh,
- 26:44was the exact tipping point of when you were like,
- 26:47OK,
- 26:47it's turned,
- 26:48but it wasn't long.
- 26:49I would,
- 26:50I would say if I would have to go back and guess,
- 26:52I'd probably put it out,
- 26:53I would say it was 1 week,
- 26:54maybe like a week,
- 26:55maybe two tops
- 26:57to where people were like,
- 26:59you know,
- 27:00how about them Jews though?
- 27:02Right?
- 27:03It happened quickly.
- 27:04It really did.
- 27:05Uh,
- 27:05and that is basically the intelligence of many of the critiques,
- 27:09uh,
- 27:10you know,
- 27:10it,
- 27:10it that is it,
- 27:11and you know,
- 27:11and I,
- 27:12I will say it's,
- 27:13it's,
- 27:13it's throughout,
- 27:14it's very pervasive in the media,
- 27:15it's very pervasive on the left,
- 27:17obviously there's a giant wing of the Democratic Party
- 27:19that seems to be pro-Hamas,
- 27:21not even just anti-Israel,
- 27:23but like literally pro-Hamas,
- 27:25and then there's a sliver as well on the right which is making,
- 27:28you know.
- 27:30You know,
- 27:30it's making me uncomfortable.
- 27:31There's nothing wrong with criticizing Israel.
- 27:34I don't think there's anything wrong with even saying,
- 27:36you know,
- 27:36like I wish they would handle this aid thing differently,
- 27:39or,
- 27:40you know,
- 27:40I wish they would,
- 27:42you know,
- 27:43declare victory and make this be over.
- 27:45We've even seen commentary like that from the Trump administration.
- 27:48I,
- 27:49I,
- 27:49I can
- 27:50understand those critiques.
- 27:50I don't necessarily agree with them,
- 27:51but I can understand them.
- 27:53When the only thing that you,
- 27:55when we're a day after October 7th,
- 27:58and you're out there like members of Congress were
- 28:01protesting against Israel on October 8th and 9th,
- 28:04it's hard for me to see anything else other than anti-Semitism.
- 28:07Yeah,
- 28:07no,
- 28:08100%,
- 28:09and uh it's just,
- 28:10it's
- 28:11the sad reality
- 28:12of
- 28:14The straw men that are created,
- 28:16so,
- 28:16when you talk about that,
- 28:17that's what I think of.
- 28:18I think,
- 28:19you,
- 28:19oh,
- 28:19you're not allowed to criticize Israel.
- 28:21No,
- 28:21clearly you are,
- 28:22because
- 28:23you do it all the time,
- 28:25and no one does anything to you.
- 28:27You're not canceled or anything like that.
- 28:29So to me that is one of the more egregious sort of straw man arguments that pop up.
- 28:34Oh,
- 28:34what,
- 28:35we're not allowed to criticize Israel?
- 28:37No,
- 28:37you can.
- 28:38But you need a legitimate criticism.
- 28:40No,
- 28:40you're just calling me an anti-Semite.
- 28:42Well,
- 28:42when you say the Jews control everything in the world.
- 28:45That's a problem because it's a ridiculous,
- 28:49and B,
- 28:50it's just,
- 28:50uh,
- 28:51not true.
- 28:52I will also say they're constantly like getting targeted for genocide.
- 28:55They must be very bad at controlling the world
- 28:57if they're controlling the world all the time.
- 28:59And also,
- 28:59then we'd see Donald Trump would say they,
- 29:01oh,
- 29:01Trump got him to not shoot a,
- 29:03a bunch of missiles at Iran or whatever,
- 29:05you know,
- 29:06that was going on at the time.
- 29:07We,
- 29:08Trump was always persuading.
- 29:09I was like,
- 29:09wait a minute,
- 29:10I thought.
- 29:11The Jews controlled Trump.
- 29:13I thought that's how this was working.
- 29:15Yeah,
- 29:15Apparently not.
- 29:16I'm very confused on the order of events here.
- 29:18We'll have to figure that out.
- 29:20I also want to give you a story that,
- 29:21you know,
- 29:21at least a little bit less serious,
- 29:23although I think there's some serious elements to it.
- 29:25The Sydney Sweeney story.
- 29:26Now this has been going on forever,
- 29:28and I honestly am at the point when I see Sydney Sweeney,
- 29:31first of all,
- 29:31she always looks fantastic,
- 29:32she's a very lovely lady,
- 29:34but like,
- 29:34you know,
- 29:35I'm kind of rolling my eyes honestly at the coverage of this.
- 29:37Um,
- 29:38I will say some interesting things did happen over the last 24 hours,
- 29:41one of which was,
- 29:42it does seem to be confirmed that Sydney Sweeney is a Republican.
- 29:46Um,
- 29:46she,
- 29:46her,
- 29:46uh,
- 29:47her voter information,
- 29:48I guess,
- 29:48was outed.
- 29:49She registered as a Republican
- 29:50in Florida.
- 29:51I will say I think it's really dumb that,
- 29:53that this stuff is public.
- 29:54I don't know why it's like OK that we go investigate everyone's political life.
- 29:58That doesn't need to be public information.
- 30:00What party you register under,
- 30:01that's dumb.
- 30:02Um,
- 30:02but secondly,
- 30:03uh,
- 30:03Donald Trump,
- 30:04uh,
- 30:05did a Truth Social claim here.
- 30:08Post here and
- 30:09he set these two things aside next to each other,
- 30:11which I thought was interesting.
- 30:13Sidney Sweeney,
- 30:13a registered Republican,
- 30:14has the hottest ad out there.
- 30:16It's for American Eagle.
- 30:17The jeans are flying off the shelves.
- 30:18Go get them,
- 30:18Sidney.
- 30:19On the other side of the ledger,
- 30:20Jaguar,
- 30:21just stupid and seriously woke advertisement.
- 30:24That is a disaster.
- 30:26The CEO just resigned and the company is in turmoil.
- 30:29If you remember this ad,
- 30:30uh,
- 30:30this was the copy nothing ad that came out and everyone was like,
- 30:34What the heck is that?
- 30:36It was like something that seemed like it was out of that peak woke 2022 type area,
- 30:41uh,
- 30:41and then came out in 2024.
- 30:42Everyone was like,
- 30:43what is going on with this?
- 30:44Now that CEO is gone,
- 30:46uh,
- 30:47Sydney Sweeney's doing ads that are kind of like more classic ads,
- 30:49a beautiful girl modeling jeans.
- 30:53Uh,
- 30:53I mean,
- 30:54is this,
- 30:54is it true,
- 30:55Dan?
- 30:55Is America back?
- 30:56Are we out of that woke period?
- 30:58I,
- 30:59well,
- 30:59first of all,
- 30:59I would say
- 31:00we're.
- 31:01It feels like we're moving out of it.
- 31:03It does feel like it is no longer a
- 31:05safe territory to be ridiculously woke at this point.
- 31:08It sure seems like if you start doing that,
- 31:10this is,
- 31:11it's not,
- 31:12it's probably not gonna go well for you.
- 31:14People are
- 31:16essentially just sick of it.
- 31:17But,
- 31:18but yeah,
- 31:18I mean,
- 31:18I feel like my critique though,
- 31:20of the,
- 31:20uh,
- 31:20first of all,
- 31:22I don't even know who Sydney Sweeney is.
- 31:24I had never heard of her before this American Eagle ad.
- 31:26It shows you how,
- 31:27uh,
- 31:27uh,
- 31:28you're not tuned knee-deep.
- 31:29I am in.
- 31:30No,
- 31:31not,
- 31:31not watching that show.
- 31:32I don't,
- 31:33I,
- 31:33no,
- 31:34I'm,
- 31:34it's sad.
- 31:35You can,
- 31:35you know,
- 31:36at Dan Andros on the X.
- 31:38Go ahead,
- 31:38make fun of me,
- 31:39but I don't even know who she is.
- 31:40And then also,
- 31:41I haven't even watched the ad because I'm like.
- 31:44Alright,
- 31:45I don't know how old she is,
- 31:46but in the picture she looks like 18 or 17.
- 31:50She's 27 or 28.
- 31:51Come,
- 31:52come on now,
- 31:52Dan.
- 31:53All right,
- 31:53but she,
- 31:53OK,
- 31:54she looks young.
- 31:54I don't know,
- 31:55I don't know.
- 31:56And I'm just thinking,
- 31:57OK,
- 31:57so it's fine,
- 31:58right?
- 31:58We're
- 31:59moving out of the woke stuff.
- 32:00Nobody wants that.
- 32:01But I don't know if we want to be like,
- 32:02yeah,
- 32:03America's back.
- 32:04Look at this,
- 32:04we got
- 32:05half-naked teenagers crawling around cars,
- 32:08like I.
- 32:09Yay,
- 32:10I guess,
- 32:11so we're back to being pervs.
- 32:12Well,
- 32:13uh,
- 32:13it's an interesting point because I think,
- 32:15you know,
- 32:16I think the relief,
- 32:17especially from the right as a reaction to the American Eagle thing
- 32:22is more like.
- 32:24It's much better than where we were,
- 32:26right?
- 32:26Like it's much better for,
- 32:28like,
- 32:28you know,
- 32:28again,
- 32:29she's,
- 32:29I don't know,
- 32:29you,
- 32:30you say you haven't seen the ads yet,
- 32:31like you may have seen some of the pictures.
- 32:32I mean she's,
- 32:33they're not particularly revealing ads.
- 32:35They're,
- 32:35they're playful sexual ads,
- 32:37you know,
- 32:37she's known for
- 32:39being well endowed for a lady.
- 32:41And uh you know,
- 32:42so there's some of that,
- 32:43but it's not,
- 32:44it's not like egregiously like she's half naked.
- 32:47I mean she's wearing jeans and clothing and
- 32:50you know,
- 32:50they talk,
- 32:50they joke a little bit about her,
- 32:52her appearance.
- 32:53Um,
- 32:53you know,
- 32:54but they're not,
- 32:54they're not like certain like if you remember back in the day,
- 32:57Dan,
- 32:57I think we were back,
- 32:58uh,
- 32:58you were back at the blaze when we were um.
- 33:00When the Paris Hilton ad,
- 33:01the Hardee's ad came out,
- 33:02the Hardee's and she was rolling around on the coat of eating at Hardee's,
- 33:06it's not it's not like that at all.
- 33:08It's much more,
- 33:09much more common than that.
- 33:10But I think like the idea what we're thinking of,
- 33:12you know,
- 33:12on the right,
- 33:14this is a relief that we're no longer doing
- 33:17the Jaguar thing.
- 33:18We're now back to at least where we were.
- 33:21Your point is interesting though,
- 33:22because like,
- 33:23I don't know if the American right,
- 33:25largely a religious conservative audience,
- 33:26should be like,
- 33:27hey,
- 33:28lots of boobs on TV again,
- 33:30we've made it.
- 33:31I mean that's probably not the right reaction either.
- 33:33Right,
- 33:33more boobs and butts,
- 33:34yay,
- 33:35let's go,
- 33:36and the,
- 33:37the moral majority is back in power again.
- 33:40Like
- 33:40yeah,
- 33:41no,
- 33:41I mean,
- 33:41I understand the sentiment like you're just wanting,
- 33:45you're so excited.
- 33:46That,
- 33:47that we're not seeing whatever that Jaguar thing was there,
- 33:51which,
- 33:52which,
- 33:52by the way,
- 33:53don't copy anything.
- 33:54It's like,
- 33:55you literally copied
- 33:57every DEI thing that's going on right now.
- 34:00That's all you're doing right now.
- 34:01You're
- 34:02that,
- 34:02so you,
- 34:03you actually violated your own ad.
- 34:05It's hypocritical,
- 34:06uh,
- 34:07in,
- 34:07in its awfulness.
- 34:08But I think,
- 34:09yeah,
- 34:09people are so,
- 34:09I mean,
- 34:10we've talked about the pendulum a lot.
- 34:11That's my big theory.
- 34:12I'm like,
- 34:12at some point,
- 34:13this thing's gotta swing back.
- 34:14Like you cannot do this.
- 34:16And get away with it forever.
- 34:18And,
- 34:19uh,
- 34:19you know,
- 34:19and particularly with young people because
- 34:22they have to feel so suppressed that they can't say actual truths.
- 34:27Like,
- 34:27I'm not allowed to mock
- 34:30some dude who shows up in a dress
- 34:32and he's 6'8 and 240 pounds or whatever,
- 34:36and he's obviously a dude and I can't make fun of that or even notice
- 34:41or even know,
- 34:42and I have to celebrate it.
- 34:45You can only suppress that for so long before it
- 34:48just says they say enough is enough.
- 34:49Yeah,
- 34:50and it it's clear what's amazing about the Sidney Sweeney
- 34:52ads are like they are not right-wing ads at all.
- 34:56They're just normal ads.
- 34:58They're like ads that you would expect out of
- 35:00a company that wants to sell their jeans,
- 35:02like that is what it is.
- 35:03Like the sex sells,
- 35:04like this is what you would do.
- 35:06Like the other stuff is like you're,
- 35:07you're trying to.
- 35:09It's like,
- 35:10hey,
- 35:10I don't know,
- 35:11um,
- 35:12you know,
- 35:12Eskimo celebrities,
- 35:14like in your ads,
- 35:15like,
- 35:16like that's sort of what the DEI thing is like.
- 35:17You're taking some obscure random thing and trying to make it
- 35:21like this big thing that everyone has to latch onto,
- 35:24right?
- 35:25So,
- 35:25you know,
- 35:26it's just,
- 35:26it's,
- 35:27people are so like,
- 35:28uh,
- 35:28no,
- 35:29like after 2020,
- 35:30I guess you had this like period of
- 35:32Safety where they could just unleash progressive ideology.
- 35:35And I think people have gotten enough of the progressive utopia
- 35:39over the last few years.
- 35:40We've seen,
- 35:41we've gotten a glimpse into this is sort of
- 35:43like the family man thing like for politics.
- 35:46We've gotten a glimpse now into hopefully we all snap
- 35:49awake and it's like back into 20,
- 35:50maybe back into 2020,
- 35:52we can sort of like redo some things.
- 35:54But.
- 35:55You know,
- 35:55the whole family man,
- 35:56the Nick Cage,
- 35:56like he gets a glimpse into what his life would have been like if he married the sweet,
- 36:00uh,
- 36:01other
- 36:01woman that he
- 36:02abandoned at the airport.
- 36:04So we've got,
- 36:05we've gotten a glimpse of what progressive utopia looks like.
- 36:08We saw the drag queens prancing around the White House.
- 36:12They've gotten their wish.
- 36:13Hey,
- 36:14let's,
- 36:14uh,
- 36:15go ahead and ban all the police and get rid of the.
- 36:17Abolish the police departments and abolish ICE.
- 36:20We've seen this,
- 36:21and it's as horrible as we've all thought,
- 36:24right,
- 36:24right.
- 36:25I,
- 36:25it's funny because like you think of
- 36:27part of it I just think is a relief that we're no longer there and,
- 36:30and,
- 36:30and that's what all this is.
- 36:31It's like I think of the same way of like when I think back to those moments in COVID
- 36:35when we're all like locked in our homes or whatever we had to do,
- 36:38couldn't go out to restaurants because they weren't open.
- 36:40And like the relief,
- 36:41just thinking back to that,
- 36:42I just feel a sense of relief.
- 36:44It's not necessarily embracing everything that's going on today,
- 36:46it's just a sense of relief.
- 36:48And I think like we've,
- 36:49we're just starting to wake up and realize how bad that 21,
- 36:5322,
- 36:5423 era
- 36:56was.
- 36:57Somebody posted the other day,
- 36:59you know,
- 36:59this weekend and it went viral and I don't remember who posted it,
- 37:01I apologize,
- 37:02but it was a.
- 37:02It was a retweet of,
- 37:03of an NHL tweet from the National Hockey League.
- 37:06You saw this.
- 37:07And it was like,
- 37:07trans men are men,
- 37:09trans women are women,
- 37:10uh
- 37:11yeah,
- 37:11the,
- 37:12what the hell is the hockey league
- 37:14telling us that about?
- 37:15Like it's just absolutely insane,
- 37:17and I think like we're we at least are past that.
- 37:20I don't know if this goes in the
- 37:21right direction from here,
- 37:22but uh let me give you the last word here now.
- 37:25Uh,
- 37:25yeah,
- 37:25well,
- 37:26I would just say I think we're at the point now,
- 37:28Stu,
- 37:28I think that pendulum has gone so far.
- 37:29I,
- 37:30me,
- 37:30who I don't wanna create any public stir,
- 37:32I'm just going about my business,
- 37:34my day to day.
- 37:35I don't wanna bother anybody.
- 37:36I don't wanna be that guy.
- 37:38But when I walk into like a store,
- 37:39a convenience store or something,
- 37:41and it's one of the ones that still has like the plastic barrier up
- 37:45in front,
- 37:45or like they,
- 37:46they just,
- 37:46you know,
- 37:47they're just too lazy to take it down.
- 37:48They obviously don't care at this point,
- 37:50but they just haven't done it.
- 37:51I'm almost ready to go,
- 37:52listen.
- 37:54You need to take this thing down or I'm never
- 37:56coming back in again or I'm protesting out here.
- 37:58It's just so stupid.
- 37:59Yes,
- 37:59it's so stupid.
- 38:00Or the people who are,
- 38:01I,
- 38:02I,
- 38:02I saw a woman walk across the street in front of my car,
- 38:04uh,
- 38:05yesterday,
- 38:05and,
- 38:06uh,
- 38:06and she was outside
- 38:08by herself
- 38:09wearing a mask across the road.
- 38:11But by the way,
- 38:12crossing the road in front of my car,
- 38:14uh,
- 38:15not really caring whether I,
- 38:16I could have easily run her over,
- 38:18but she's got the mask.
- 38:19Mask on and also it's in Texas in August or July
- 38:24and it's like a million degrees and you're like,
- 38:27you know what,

- 39:56I've got 3 stories to get through here in just over 1 minute to do it,
- 39:59so let me go.
- 39:59Uh,
- 39:59Trump administration planning to roll back abortion access
- 40:03for veterans.
- 40:03This is just a lie.
- 40:04Uh,
- 40:05this is not true.
- 40:06Um,
- 40:06they're trying to roll back abortion access for everyone,
- 40:09uh,
- 40:09which,
- 40:10by the way,
- 40:10is the right thing to do,
- 40:11uh,
- 40:11because we don't want
- 40:13veterans' children
- 40:14to,
- 40:14uh,
- 40:14not be born.
- 40:15We also don't want,
- 40:16uh,
- 40:16non-veterans' children to not be born.
- 40:19So,
- 40:19uh.
- 40:22Seemed like a good policy for everybody.
- 40:25Let births occur.
- 40:26There you go.
- 40:27Plastics crisis is costing.
- 40:30$1.5 trillion in global deaths and injuries,
- 40:34a report says.
- 40:36This report,
- 40:37which
- 40:38It says it's from The Lancet,
- 40:40but then The Lancet later says it's citing another study.
- 40:44Every once in a while you look at one of these things,
- 40:45these stories that comes out,
- 40:46and you just know it's not true.
- 40:48I don't know exactly
- 40:49yet
- 40:49why or how it's not true,
- 40:51um,
- 40:51but I will get back to you with this,
- 40:52uh,
- 40:53we will look into the study and I will show
- 40:54you that this is nonsense because it's obviously nonsense.
- 40:57I mean,
- 40:58it's,
- 40:58it's one of those on the surface,
- 40:59it's obviously nonsense.
- 41:01And finally,
- 41:01colleges are trying to uh trying a new
- 41:03way to meet a declining enrollment and revenue.
- 41:06They're partnering with senior living providers,
- 41:08which is interesting,
- 41:09a unique situa uh solution they say to decline enrollment.
- 41:12Um,
- 41:12basically you'd have college students
- 41:14living with seniors in senior housing,
- 41:17which is,
- 41:18uh.
- 41:19Honestly sounds like the plot of a Will Ferrell movie.
- 41:21That this seems like old,
- 41:23old,
- 41:24old school.
- 41:25Oldest school?
- 41:26Whatever it is,
- 41:27it's coming out soon.
- 41:28Will Ferrell will be in it,
- 41:29and,
- 41:30uh,
- 41:31I,
- 41:31I,
- 41:32I'd go check it out.
- 41:32I mean,
- 41:33I,
- 41:33it seems like it would be a,
- 41:34a,
- 41:34a pretty funny movie,
- 41:35so
- 41:36get ready for that one.

- 42:58of course.
- 42:59Um,
- 42:59but,
- 43:00uh,
- 43:00it was great.
- 43:00And I will say,

- 43:03wants to get away from some of the craziness in the world,
- 43:05what a great freaking night.
- 43:06I mean,

- 43:08I mean,
- 43:08he's doing fat.

- 43:23uh,
- 43:23who,
