- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Seacrest.
- 0:04Speaker 1: On air, on air, on air with Ryan Seacrest. It's
- 0:09Speaker 1: always good to hear that one first thing in the morning. 102.7,
- 0:12Speaker 1: it's Kiss FM. All right. I'm excited somehow for a Tuesday,
- 0:18Speaker 1: which don't even question it. I'm looking forward to this Tuesday.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's October 13th. This month is flying by. Now that
- 0:24Speaker 1: we've got these great temperatures, it's just so much more comfortable.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Sunny today, highs around 80. It's like a totally different
- 0:31Speaker 1: season within four or five days. Good morning, Tanya. Nice
- 0:35Speaker 1: to see you.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Good morning. Nice to see you, too. I'm actually glad
- 0:38Speaker 3: that you missed what happened before you got here this morning.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Well, Ronnie is here in the studio. I get an
- 0:45Speaker 1: early visual of Ronnie in his tank top today. I'm privileged.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Thank you for that. What did I miss, you guys?
- 0:52Speaker 3: There was... a cockroach the size of my hand and
- 0:56Speaker 3: i'm not even being sarcastic.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Where was it the new bathrooms no in our.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Studio in our actual studio right behind actually where you
- 1:05Speaker 3: sit uh it was the size of our hand and
- 1:08Speaker 3: nobody wanted to touch it i will just have to
- 1:10Speaker 3: say everybody was freaked out came over to this side
- 1:12Speaker 3: of the studio and then jen is the only one
- 1:16Speaker 3: that stepped up.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Jen in the back room. Shout out to Jen.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Well, you know, she's a mom.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:22Speaker 1: She works hard. A cockroach is not going to throw
- 1:24Speaker 1: Jen off her game. I've seen her with her son
- 1:26Speaker 1: at Pache. I mean, there's not much. I've seen them
- 1:29Speaker 1: having dinner together at 530 at my time with no
- 1:31Speaker 1: one in the restaurant. Nothing's throwing off Jen.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Respectfully, I thought Mark as a dad would step in.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Maybe Tubbs or Meatman would step in.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Mark's like me when I see a wild cat in
- 1:42Speaker 1: the wild.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:43Speaker 1: A mountain lion.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:45Speaker 1: We run.
- 1:46Speaker 3: He scurried away. And Tubbs had to go fix something
- 1:48Speaker 3: in the corner, and Jen stepped up and grabbed.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So you guys recorded this moment? Is that what I
- 1:52Speaker 1: have here?
- 1:53Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:54Speaker 1: You guys. And you tell me you'd be good in
- 2:01Speaker 1: a haunted house, and you can't even deal with a
- 2:03Speaker 1: cockroach in our studio in Bourbon. How does the... If
- 2:06Speaker 1: anybody is an expert with bugs... I don't know what
- 2:13Speaker 1: phylum cockroaches are in. Insects. But I don't know what
- 2:15Speaker 1: the phylum is. Mark, take a look at the phylum
- 2:18Speaker 1: of cockroaches. It's always interesting to learn on this show. Anthropota.
- 2:22Speaker 1: It's a what? Anthropota. Anthropota. That's right. I should have
- 2:25Speaker 1: remembered that. Anthropota. How does an anthropota get up to
- 2:28Speaker 1: the fifth floor in a building like this? Are there
- 2:30Speaker 1: cockroaches in these walls? Honestly, it doesn't strike me as normal.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think it was the bathroom. The construction in the
- 2:36Speaker 1: bathroom probably is letting them all out.
- 2:39Speaker 3: She's going to slide the cardboard under the.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Are you trying to save the life of the cockroach?
- 2:44Speaker 1: You got it? I'll consider it. She got it.
- 2:47Speaker 5: That is so sad.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And there was a cockroach escorted out of the building? Yes,
- 2:50Speaker 1: she took it with a cup. Oh, to create babies
- 2:51Speaker 1: to come back with more cockroach eyes.
- 2:52Speaker 3: And she took it outside and let it go free
- 2:55Speaker 3: to the world.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And it gets to see another day.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Well, very, very nice. I'm so glad I missed that.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Jigaball tickets sold out in just a few minutes.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I noticed you have been coming in this week with
- 3:08Speaker 1: something different, Tanya, and I do want to point that out. Ronnie,
- 3:11Speaker 1: are you a coffee drinker? I don't think I know
- 3:12Speaker 1: this about you yet. No, so I actually don't drink
- 3:15Speaker 1: coffee at all. I just wake up and drink water,
- 3:17Speaker 1: which is really weird, but I literally have my water
- 3:20Speaker 1: right here. No, it's not. It's actually very healthy. All right.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Tanya has been a coffee. We should go now in
- 3:26Speaker 1: and out of phases.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But right now you, it looks like you have a
- 3:30Speaker 1: murky pond water in your cup over there. Is this
- 3:33Speaker 1: a matcha? I, yes, it is a matcha.
- 3:35Speaker 3: And I've been like nervous to tell you because I
- 3:37Speaker 3: feel like we share our love of coffee. And it's
- 3:40Speaker 3: like the thing that I get excited about in the morning.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I just like look forward to it.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It is a deal breaker for me personally in a relationship.
- 3:46Speaker 3: But, Hear me out. Matcha is so much better for you.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It's like cleaner and I feel like it has even
- 3:53Speaker 3: more caffeine. So I feel like I'm like flying high
- 3:55Speaker 3: this week.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Okay, so it doesn't. Where do you want to start? Now,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I know a lot about matcha because I used to
- 4:03Speaker 1: be a matcha whisker myself. I used to whisk it
- 4:05Speaker 1: up and I thought I was on to something. And
- 4:07Speaker 1: by the way, it is good for you. It's probably
- 4:10Speaker 1: better for you than the strong coffee that I regularly
- 4:12Speaker 1: drink every morning. But I believe it goes back to
- 4:15Speaker 1: the ancient days of China and Japan. The monks, the
- 4:18Speaker 1: Zen monks in Japan, they made it popular way back
- 4:21Speaker 1: in the day. And it's got those antioxidants in it.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And it does have a little bit of caffeine, but
- 4:25Speaker 1: not quite like coffee. But if you... Honestly, if you
- 4:29Speaker 1: feel like you get what you need out of it
- 4:31Speaker 1: in terms of the caffeine level, it just would not
- 4:33Speaker 1: work for me. I am too into a very strong coffee.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It would not work for me.
- 4:38Speaker 3: With all due respect. I do remember your matcha era
- 4:41Speaker 3: because we were whisking away in the back room, getting
- 4:44Speaker 3: it all nice and ready.
- 4:45Speaker 1: It's a little bit of a trend. it's a little
- 4:50Speaker 1: bit of a trend and I jumped on that bandwagon
- 4:52Speaker 1: for a bit, but it, I, the myths are, it
- 4:55Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily melt fat, which I think I've read before,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but it does have those things that olive oil has
- 5:01Speaker 1: the polyphenols that are good for you that can help
- 5:04Speaker 1: with blood vessels and cardiovascular and inflammation. So it definitely has,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I think, better characteristics than, maybe a few more than
- 5:13Speaker 1: coffee and doesn't give you that crash, but we'll see.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But I don't think it probably gives you the same
- 5:16Speaker 1: kind of crash.
- 5:17Speaker 3: We'll see. Like, jury's still out. I'm not sure if
- 5:19Speaker 3: I'm completely, like, moving over to matcha instead of my coffee,
- 5:22Speaker 3: but I'm toying with it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But you don't think it tastes like grass? I think
- 5:28Speaker 1: it tastes like grass. It tastes like bad grass. You're right.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It tastes bad. It doesn't taste good. You've got to
- 5:34Speaker 1: put Manuka honey in it in order to get through it.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Let's see the face she makes when she actually sips it.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It's like taking a shot. You know when you take
- 5:41Speaker 1: a shot and you make that face? It might be
- 5:42Speaker 1: the same shot face when you sip your matcha. But look,
- 5:46Speaker 1: whatever makes you feel good in the morning, whatever you want,
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'm all for it. Let's go. Paul and Jenny Dracula
- 5:53Speaker 1: LA's number one at music station giving away the jingle
- 5:55Speaker 1: ball tickets it is sold out presented by Capital One
- 5:58Speaker 1: and we've got them every hour all week long for
- 6:01Speaker 1: you to win your way in for that show in
- 6:03Speaker 1: December let me check in with the back room Ruby
- 6:05Speaker 1: Michaela back there working feverishly but Ruby let me interrupt
- 6:09Speaker 1: for a second did you go out last night for dinner.
- 6:12Speaker 6: I went to, well, we were trying to get like
- 6:14Speaker 6: a small buy in drinks because we went to like
- 6:16Speaker 6: a book event, a book fair thing. And so I
- 6:19Speaker 6: suggested this restaurant that was.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Right around the corner.
- 6:21Speaker 6: I was like, you know, the food, the tacos are mid,
- 6:25Speaker 6: but the margaritas are good. And my friends were like, wait.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's so interesting.
- 6:29Speaker 6: My friends were like.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Why would you go somewhere mid?
- 6:32Speaker 6: Because the drinks were good. So I was like, the
- 6:34Speaker 6: drinks are good. We're just going to get like a
- 6:35Speaker 6: walk and maybe some chips. Maybe if you're hungry, you
- 6:38Speaker 6: could get some tacos. But it was mostly like a
- 6:40Speaker 6: place to just. have a light bite and a drink.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I feel like if you say something is mid, I'd
- 6:47Speaker 1: rather it be clear. It's either good or it's not.
- 6:49Speaker 1: If there's clear direction, then if it's mid, now what
- 6:54Speaker 1: do I do? I'm in limbo whether to try it
- 6:56Speaker 1: or not or order the tacos or not. No one
- 6:59Speaker 1: wants to be mid.
- 7:00Speaker 6: So Ryan Seacrest is mid or Ryan Seacrest is bad.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Well, are you speaking fact or are you hypothetical? What
- 7:07Speaker 1: are we doing?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Subjective or objectively? Is there a preference there?
- 7:11Speaker 1: I didn't know. Because I feel like mid is like
- 7:14Speaker 1: in the middle, right? Like it's not that bad. Look,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I mean, if you're talking about me, I think like
- 7:20Speaker 1: I would feel good to be considered not in the bad,
- 7:24Speaker 1: like in the mid or tolerable. Ryan Seacrest, you know what?
- 7:27Speaker 1: He's tolerable. To me, that's a victory. He is adequate.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Those are all victory words. I guess as a person,
- 7:37Speaker 1: you just don't want to be on the negative side
- 7:39Speaker 1: of things. As a taco or as a food, meat
- 7:41Speaker 1: is not worth the try, worth the time just to
- 7:43Speaker 1: get the drinks. Tanya, what would you like to be?
- 7:48Speaker 1: A triumph of adequacy? Like, what is a good thing?
- 7:51Speaker 3: I think mid is like up for interpretation. So if
- 7:53Speaker 3: you're saying it's mid, it might mean that you might
- 7:55Speaker 3: like it, but also Ronnie might hate it. Like, it's
- 7:58Speaker 3: just kind of, it's like subjective, more so than objective.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I like adequate. I think it's fine.
- 8:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 8:05Speaker 1: We have a quote of the day here at Kiss
- 8:06Speaker 1: FM next. What voice I hear the same. 2.7 Kiss FM.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So for me, not for so many people, but the
- 8:13Speaker 1: big game I'll be watching over the weekend is a
- 8:15Speaker 1: long ways out, but I'll be checking this out. Ruby
- 8:17Speaker 1: mentioned walk earlier.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 1: And I'm going to make some guacamole. Some friends are
- 8:21Speaker 1: coming over to watch UGA and Auburn. But if you
- 8:25Speaker 1: put your avocado in a paper bag with an apple,
- 8:28Speaker 1: it will allow it to ripen faster. I felt like
- 8:30Speaker 1: today was the day you needed to know that.
- 8:32Speaker 3: That is good to know because I always buy avocados
- 8:34Speaker 3: when they're super hard.
- 8:36Speaker 7: I know.
- 8:36Speaker 1: They're always hard.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Then you want to use them for your eggs, but
- 8:39Speaker 3: you just can't.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It'll take a day or two, but faster than leaving
- 8:42Speaker 1: it out on the counter paper bag with an apple.
- 8:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Today's quote. Getting what you want begins with becoming unavailable
- 8:51Speaker 1: for what you don't. So you need to add access
- 8:55Speaker 1: to yourself. I think it's a good one. It's Kiss FM.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Deal.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Kiss.
- 9:02Speaker 1: After seven o'clock, we're making a second date update call.
- 9:05Speaker 1: They met looking at pumpkins at Trader Joe's.
- 9:08Speaker 7: Cute.
- 9:09Speaker 1: They even carved one together now. She ghosted him. So
- 9:11Speaker 1: we're going to see if we can find out what's
- 9:13Speaker 1: going on there. First, Sissany with headlines. Kiss FM headlines
- 9:16Speaker 1: with Sissany.
- 9:17Speaker 8: Well, Hollywood Burbank Airport is celebrating the opening of its
- 9:21Speaker 8: new $ 1. 3 billion terminal, which opened to passengers at 5
- 9:26Speaker 8: this morning. With the first flights taking off right about now.
- 9:30Speaker 8: Orange County reached a $ 125 million settlement with the company
- 9:36Speaker 8: responsible for a toxic chemical leak in May that forced
- 9:39Speaker 8: 50,000 people to evacuate.
- 9:42Speaker 1: A U.S.
- 9:42Speaker 8: Postal worker in Pasadena is facing animal cruelty charges for
- 9:46Speaker 8: allegedly throwing a rock at a wild peacock back in August.
- 9:51Speaker 8: And the Dodgers dropped game two of the NLCS and
- 9:55Speaker 8: are down two games to none. Game three is at
- 9:58Speaker 8: Dodger Stadium tomorrow.
- 9:59Speaker 1: At 5 p.m. It's LA's number one hit music station.
- 10:05Speaker 1: We have your sold out jingle ball tickets coming up
- 10:07Speaker 1: in just a little bit around 730 this morning. Michaela,
- 10:11Speaker 1: are you or were you ever on Tinder?
- 10:13Speaker 3: A while ago.
- 10:14Speaker 1: A while back. Tubbs was a long time, lifetimes ago
- 10:17Speaker 1: as well. Did you ever try Tinder, Tanya?
- 10:19Speaker 3: I did try Tinder for a quick little stint.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Rondi, Tinder?
- 10:22Speaker 9: I was on Tinder, but I felt like it was
- 10:24Speaker 9: just hard because when you're just swiping so many times,
- 10:26Speaker 9: I got annoyed.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Okay, so now because maybe other people got annoyed, they've
- 10:31Speaker 1: come up with something new called Tinder group hangouts. Now, Tanya,
- 10:35Speaker 1: what are the details of this?
- 10:37Speaker 3: Okay, so you and at least two of your friends
- 10:40Speaker 3: create a group on Tinder. So pick something that you'd
- 10:42Speaker 3: actually want to do, like grabbing food, going to a concert,
- 10:46Speaker 3: or playing pickleball. And then Tinder actually connects you with
- 10:50Speaker 3: another group looking to do the exact same thing. So
- 10:53Speaker 3: instead of, want to get a drink, it's more like, hey,
- 10:56Speaker 3: want to get a drink with six other people.
- 10:59Speaker 1: But the question is, are all of those six other
- 11:01Speaker 1: people supposed to make a connection? Like, everybody's supposed to connect?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Well.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yes and no. They all have to have active Tinder accounts.
- 11:09Speaker 3: So you all do have to be single. You can
- 11:12Speaker 3: leave and join the group chat individually, but apparently people
- 11:15Speaker 3: are very into it. They did testing in Australia. Almost 40%
- 11:18Speaker 3: of the invitations were accepted, and women were twice as
- 11:22Speaker 3: likely to like a group profile more than a solo profile.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm with those women. I would rather be with a
- 11:28Speaker 1: group than the pressure of a one-on-one. The thing is,
- 11:31Speaker 1: if you're the other people, and odds are I would
- 11:33Speaker 1: be the other person that really didn't hit it off
- 11:35Speaker 1: with somebody, then you're kind of held hostage. Then you're there...
- 11:40Speaker 1: wasting your time and you have to be polite to
- 11:42Speaker 1: the one person you really don't know or the one
- 11:45Speaker 1: couple you don't know who's having the connection you actually want.
- 11:47Speaker 3: That's why I never liked group hangs or group dates.
- 11:50Speaker 3: I feel like on a first date, you need to
- 11:52Speaker 3: have like laser focus. You need to have just like
- 11:54Speaker 3: eye on the prize. If there's too many options, then
- 11:56Speaker 3: like who's flirting with who? What if you're both into
- 11:58Speaker 3: like the same guy? I just gets messy.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That is an interesting one. If you go out on
- 12:03Speaker 1: a Tinder group, if you like the same dude, how
- 12:05Speaker 1: do you play that one?
- 12:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Because if you say, no, he's more into you, you
- 12:08Speaker 1: don't really mean that ever. never second date update time
- 12:14Speaker 1: 102.7 kiss fm all right jacob we want to help
- 12:16Speaker 1: out here it's always interesting to hear about the trials
- 12:19Speaker 1: and tribulations of dating in southern california so you were
- 12:22Speaker 1: at trader joe's and you grabbed the pumpkin and you
- 12:25Speaker 1: met somebody while grabbing a pumpkin what happened like how
- 12:28Speaker 1: did that work.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah so uh my pumpkin had like a little crack
- 12:34Speaker 2: by the stem i'd didn't even notice it. And she
- 12:37Speaker 2: just looked over and told me that it would rot
- 12:40Speaker 2: like way faster because of the crack. And she even
- 12:43Speaker 2: told me that it was probably already black inside. So,
- 12:46Speaker 2: you know, I grabbed a different pumpkin and made sure
- 12:49Speaker 2: she approved of it. And then, you know, I just
- 12:53Speaker 2: asked her if she wanted to carve it with me.
- 12:55Speaker 2: And yeah, we exchanged numbers and she came over on
- 12:58Speaker 2: a Saturday afternoon, you know, met my roommates and And
- 13:02Speaker 2: it was it was it was a really just chill
- 13:04Speaker 2: and good time. And we ordered some food, you know,
- 13:07Speaker 2: had a drink. And, you know, I I kissed her
- 13:10Speaker 2: good night. And that that was that was the first
- 13:13Speaker 2: get together.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Man, there's so much risk in that story to go
- 13:17Speaker 1: home with a guy to carve. You don't even know it.
- 13:20Speaker 1: A Trader Joe's? They're going to get a knife out
- 13:21Speaker 1: and carve a pumpkin?
- 13:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I need some more detail on this, Jacob. You glossed
- 13:26Speaker 1: over some stuff that's important to me. So she judges
- 13:29Speaker 1: your selection, your choice of pumpkin. Was there a twinkle
- 13:32Speaker 1: in her eye? Was there a wink and a smile?
- 13:34Speaker 1: How did you know that she was into you based
- 13:36Speaker 1: on her just jumping in with her opinion?
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's a good question. I mean, I kind of just...
- 13:43Speaker 2: felt the inflection. She was just a little twinkle in
- 13:46Speaker 2: the eye, like you were saying. And I just, I
- 13:48Speaker 2: just felt the energy, you know, she was bold enough
- 13:51Speaker 2: to say something to me. So I thought I might
- 13:54Speaker 2: as well shoot my shot because she was cute and
- 13:56Speaker 2: it worked out.
- 13:59Speaker 1: And when she, when you guys had your kiss afterwards,
- 14:02Speaker 1: did you make plans?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Well, so after afterwards, we'd been texting back and forth
- 14:08Speaker 2: and I, I asked her on a real date, like
- 14:11Speaker 2: a real, real date and, And she said she was busy.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And so I asked her, you know, if we could
- 14:16Speaker 2: do a different day. And she said she was busy again. And, yeah, exactly. Like,
- 14:21Speaker 2: I could tell when I'm being blown off, you know.
- 14:24Speaker 2: But I don't know what happened. You know, now every
- 14:26Speaker 2: time I see the pumpkin she carved, like, I just
- 14:29Speaker 2: get very sad.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Oh, my God. It was a matter of hours. But, okay,
- 14:33Speaker 1: let's see what we can find out. We're going to
- 14:36Speaker 1: get her on the phone and get to the bottom
- 14:37Speaker 1: of it to see why she's blowing you off. Maybe
- 14:40Speaker 1: the kiss went wrong.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:42Speaker 1: But you fell hard, and we want to try and
- 14:44Speaker 1: get you the peace of mind you want. Next here, 102.7.
- 14:47Speaker 1: It is Kiss FM. 102.7, Kiss FM. Time for the
- 14:51Speaker 1: second date update result. So Jacob reached out to us,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and he said he met Olivia at a Trader Joe's
- 14:58Speaker 1: shopping for pumpkins. And she basically said, hey, don't pick
- 15:03Speaker 1: that one. Pick this one. They went home together. He
- 15:04Speaker 1: invited her to go carve the pumpkin. She meets his roommates.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Things go great. He kisses her goodnight. And since then,
- 15:10Speaker 1: she's blown him off. I just find so much bravery
- 15:15Speaker 1: in all of this for both of you to go
- 15:17Speaker 1: home on a win like that from the grocery store
- 15:19Speaker 1: and carve a pumpkin together. But you did. And now
- 15:22Speaker 1: you want to know why she's not into you. Tanya
- 15:24Speaker 1: said something. I'm going to let you hear it. Tanya.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Jacob, you're not giving Riz off the jump. It's not
- 15:34Speaker 3: giving Riz. I'm fearing that maybe you laid it on
- 15:37Speaker 3: too thick and it freaked her out a little bit.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Oh, okay. I mean, I don't think so. I think
- 15:45Speaker 2: I was, you know, a gentleman.
- 15:49Speaker 1: His tank of Riz is full. All right. So, Jacob,
- 15:53Speaker 1: let me get to this. We've got her on the line.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I don't want to hang up. Olivia is her name.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Be very quiet. Let's see if we can find out, okay? Okay.
- 15:59Speaker 2: All right.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Olivia, thank you so much for agreeing to come on.
- 16:02Speaker 1: It's Ryan Seacrest. I've got everybody here on Kiss FM.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Your voice is on the radio. We're calling about a
- 16:07Speaker 1: guy named Jacob that you met at Trader Joe's. How
- 16:10Speaker 1: did that go when you met him?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:14Speaker 7: Yeah. He's a nice guy.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Nice guy. Good. Well, you met him shopping for pumpkins.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And then as I understand it, you guys went to
- 16:23Speaker 1: his place. What happened?
- 16:26Speaker 7: Yeah. Well, we did. Yeah, we carved pumpkins. And it
- 16:31Speaker 7: was cute.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And then afterwards, what happened?
- 16:36Speaker 2: Well, so.
- 16:39Speaker 7: It's funny because when you talk about him, all I
- 16:42Speaker 7: think about is his eyes. Maybe not in the way
- 16:47Speaker 7: that you might think. I don't know. I'm quite stuck
- 16:49Speaker 7: on him.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait.
- 16:50Speaker 2: In what way?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Because I think about Tanya's eyes in the way that
- 16:52Speaker 1: you might think.
- 16:52Speaker 4: No!
- 16:53Speaker 1: They don't blink. She doesn't close them ever.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I don't think that's what she's referring to. His beautiful eyes, no?
- 17:01Speaker 2: He does.
- 17:02Speaker 4: But? Yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Yeah. I'll just kind of tell the story, I guess.
- 17:08Speaker 7: So I was at his place, and we were sitting
- 17:11Speaker 7: out back. We were having a drink. The sun was
- 17:13Speaker 7: going down, and I told him, I said, wow, you
- 17:16Speaker 7: have really nice eyes.
- 17:17Speaker 2: And it was true.
- 17:18Speaker 7: I mean, the way the sunset was hitting his eyes,
- 17:21Speaker 7: it was amazing. I mean, he does have great eyes.
- 17:25Speaker 7: So the next day, he sent me a picture of
- 17:28Speaker 7: his eyes.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Okay.
- 17:30Speaker 7: But then the day after that, I got another one.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Oh, Tanya, you were right.
- 17:36Speaker 1: He was going on too fast, too hard, too soon,
- 17:38Speaker 1: too much. Overkill. You have to play it cool a
- 17:42Speaker 1: little bit. Is it a little too uncool, like too much,
- 17:44Speaker 1: too soon, too fast?
- 17:46Speaker 7: He kept going. Yeah, there were two more after that.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Like different angles, different lighting.
- 17:50Speaker 1: I cannot.
- 17:51Speaker 2: It was too much.
- 17:53Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, dude, we get it. You know,
- 17:55Speaker 7: you have a nice eye.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So at that point, you decided that you weren't into him?
- 18:00Speaker 7: It just kind of the whole thing gave me the ick, you.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Know, find a teaching moment in this and bring Jacob
- 18:05Speaker 1: into the conversation because he is here. And Jacob, thank
- 18:07Speaker 1: you for listening in on that. Do you understand maybe
- 18:11Speaker 1: why Olivia felt this way?
- 18:12Speaker 2: I mean, wow. Yes, I'm I'm I'm sorry. Like, I
- 18:18Speaker 2: don't know, I guess. Honestly, Olivia, I just want you
- 18:21Speaker 2: to stay interested in and clearly clear that backfired.
- 18:26Speaker 1: So there's a word in the dating universe.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Yeah, zeitgeist.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Zeitgeist, and it's called restraint. Every now and then, you
- 18:37Speaker 1: need to apply, even when you don't want to and
- 18:39Speaker 1: it's hard, and you're obsessed with thinking about Olivia.
- 18:42Speaker 3: It's so hard.
- 18:42Speaker 1: You've got to apply a little restraint. I think that's
- 18:44Speaker 1: probably what you didn't do enough of for Olivia in
- 18:47Speaker 1: this case. Maybe not somebody else, but certainly in Olivia's case.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that is fair. I guess I just,
- 18:56Speaker 2: you know, I was excited, Olivia. I thought we had
- 18:59Speaker 2: a really good time, had a nice connection, and yeah.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Is there a move forward or not? Just to be blunt.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Well, okay. I mean, let me just.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I was asking Olivia.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really not you.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Let me ask her. She's feeling good about the date, right?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Before the cringy photos, right?
- 19:21Speaker 5: Well, cringy.
- 19:21Speaker 1: They don't even say the word. Vocabulary is an issue.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I think the choice of words, they're not bad words.
- 19:27Speaker 1: It's just the choice of words in this scenario, the context,
- 19:29Speaker 1: are probably not the most helpful words for Olivia. Bad photos. Olivia,
- 19:36Speaker 1: is there a shot or no shot here?
- 19:42Speaker 7: The date was great.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Photos were very weird.
- 19:45Speaker 7: Um, I, I, I, I did have a great date.
- 19:49Speaker 1: I mean, it's not a match. We're going to call this.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We're going to call it. It's not a match.
- 19:55Speaker 2: No.
- 19:55Speaker 1: All right. You're great people.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Jacob, you're going to find your eye loving match.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I believe. Or just slow down on the photo sense.
- 20:05Speaker 9: All right.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And good luck to both of you. Happy Halloween. Both
- 20:07Speaker 1: got pumpkins. You're celebrating. On air with Ryan Seacrest. Nutella
- 20:18Speaker 1: ain't in LA.
- 20:20Speaker 2: 102.7.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Kiss FM. Setting the soundtrack to the morning. What's up?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Ryan Seacrest. So good. Tanya. Ronnie, actually to the mic
- 20:27Speaker 1: for a second. So Ronnie's in charge of all of
- 20:29Speaker 1: our digital content and we just threw something out there.
- 20:32Speaker 1: a few minutes ago on our Instagram, Ronnie and his
- 20:34Speaker 1: mom on a cruise together, just the two of them
- 20:37Speaker 1: for some quality time. And you guys have a Hawaiian
- 20:40Speaker 1: shirts on, with the one you're wearing is smaller than your,
- 20:44Speaker 1: it's like a crop top and it's got your mom's
- 20:46Speaker 1: face on it. And then your mother's wearing one with
- 20:49Speaker 1: your face on it. How cute is that? So cute.
- 20:52Speaker 9: And I did have to crop mine because it was
- 20:54Speaker 9: so long. As you can see on her, even she
- 20:56Speaker 9: said it was long. So I cut mine up. I
- 20:58Speaker 9: should have cut hers up too. Crop all of your
- 21:00Speaker 9: shirts from what I've seen.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I know. It just looks so much better. So what
- 21:04Speaker 1: did this idea, where'd it come from? I think it's
- 21:06Speaker 1: a great idea. I actually was looking at this going,
- 21:08Speaker 1: my mom would love it. How'd you come up with
- 21:10Speaker 1: the idea? So my mom was the one that actually
- 21:12Speaker 1: asked me to come on a cruise with her. And
- 21:15Speaker 1: basically my stepfather, he didn't want to come. My sister,
- 21:19Speaker 1: she didn't want to go. So I was like, well,
- 21:20Speaker 1: of course I will go on a cruise with you.
- 21:22Speaker 1: You know, I love to vacation. So I was like, yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 1: let's go.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Why?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Like who better to go on a trip with than
- 21:27Speaker 1: your own mom? Is there anything to think ahead about?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Did anything go wrong? So, okay.
- 21:32Speaker 9: There are some pros and cons with like traveling with
- 21:34Speaker 9: your mom. Number one pro, she put her card down
- 21:38Speaker 9: for all the expenses. So I was very happy about
- 21:40Speaker 9: that because I was like, oh, this is great. Because
- 21:43Speaker 9: you know when you go out to eat with your
- 21:44Speaker 9: parents and they pay for it? This was kind of
- 21:46Speaker 9: like that same vibe. So I could order whatever I wanted.
- 21:49Speaker 9: That was really great. She also is so overly prepared.
- 21:53Speaker 9: She even had an air freshener to plug in in
- 21:57Speaker 9: the room so it smelled good. So it felt like
- 22:00Speaker 9: we were at home.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's great. Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 9: She's a really smart traveler. And then I also feel
- 22:05Speaker 9: like a lot of people forget that this is like
- 22:07Speaker 9: your parents' first time living too. So it's like a
- 22:10Speaker 9: really sweet moment to like go and make all these
- 22:13Speaker 9: memories with her.
- 22:13Speaker 1: But here's the question. What do you talk about? Because,
- 22:15Speaker 1: you know, my mom's going to want to talk about stuff.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I don't know if she's going to get into things, but,
- 22:19Speaker 1: you know, you got all this time. What do you
- 22:21Speaker 1: talk about?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 1: A lot of talk time.
- 22:23Speaker 9: She is very involved in my life.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So she asked me anything. How's work? You know, who
- 22:28Speaker 1: are you dating? Just so I have to tell her
- 22:30Speaker 1: where are you dating? What did you tell her?
- 22:33Speaker 9: Well, you know, I told her I've been going on
- 22:35Speaker 9: some dates, not fully committed to anyone, obviously. But yeah,
- 22:39Speaker 9: me and my mom, she knows everything about my life.
- 22:41Speaker 9: So yeah, we just kind of were talking and just
- 22:45Speaker 9: telling a bunch of stories. So it's like space and
- 22:47Speaker 9: opportunity to yap all day. I will say there are
- 22:51Speaker 9: some negatives to traveling with just you and your parent.
- 22:54Speaker 1: What are the negatives? Okay.
- 22:55Speaker 9: You have no privacy. So if you want to like
- 22:57Speaker 9: be with someone on the trip, you can't.
- 23:00Speaker 1: No, you guys, you forfeit that right when you take
- 23:02Speaker 1: your mom, you don't hook up on the trip. Yeah.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 23:05Speaker 1: But you know, sometimes you want to. So I'm like,
- 23:07Speaker 1: but you don't do it.
- 23:08Speaker 4: No. Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Of course you can't. You really can't. So that's kind
- 23:11Speaker 1: of understood from us, but what is the other negative? So,
- 23:14Speaker 1: and then we're just two different types of travelers. Like
- 23:16Speaker 1: when we travel, she unpacks everything. Like this is her house.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, I like to just live out
- 23:21Speaker 1: of my suitcase. Like it's just quick and easy. So
- 23:23Speaker 1: that's just, it's not a big negative, but it's like,
- 23:27Speaker 1: I could travel with your mom. Like we, I think
- 23:28Speaker 1: we would be totally aligned with the air freshener and
- 23:31Speaker 1: unpacking and getting organized.
- 23:32Speaker 3: And the privacy.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Yes.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But I like this for my mother, you know, since
- 23:35Speaker 1: my father passed, we're always trying to think of things
- 23:37Speaker 1: to do with mom or things for mom to do.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And I think this is a really great idea and
- 23:40Speaker 1: a sweet thing to do and super fun. So thank
- 23:42Speaker 1: you for the inspiring idea. Connie, if you're listening, act
- 23:46Speaker 1: surprised if I pitch this idea and I will not
- 23:49Speaker 1: try and meet anybody on the cruise, Mom. You want
- 23:52Speaker 1: a kiss? The sold-out Jingle Ball tickets for this hour
- 23:55Speaker 1: are coming up in just a few minutes. Jingle Ball
- 23:58Speaker 1: presented by Capital One, December 4th at the Intuit Dome.
- 24:01Speaker 1: It sold out so fast. So these are coveted tickets,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I've got them for you every hour, all week long,
- 24:06Speaker 1: if you want to make a mental note of that.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Tanya has this trending report, and I have a thought
- 24:09Speaker 1: about this, but you say, what is the best way
- 24:11Speaker 1: to deal with criticism or haters? Give us a story,
- 24:16Speaker 1: and I'll give you my view.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Okay, so Alex Earle is getting dragged online. She did
- 24:21Speaker 3: a rapid-fire Q & A and was asked a very
- 24:23Speaker 3: simple question, what's the last book you read? And Alex said...
- 24:27Speaker 3: I've never read a book like maybe Dr.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Seuss.
- 24:30Speaker 3: This clip went viral and the Internet lost it. One
- 24:34Speaker 3: comment with over 100,000 likes said we as a society
- 24:37Speaker 3: need to be more embarrassed about admitting things like this.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Other people were saying that it's not something to be
- 24:43Speaker 3: proud of, especially when you have millions of young girls
- 24:45Speaker 3: looking up to you. But how did Alex Earle deal
- 24:48Speaker 3: with all this? She used humor. She posted her kind
- 24:51Speaker 3: of like nightly routine video, taking off her makeup, folding laundry.
- 24:55Speaker 3: And then she like laid in her bed, opened up
- 24:57Speaker 3: this Dr. Seuss book to like read it. And so
- 25:00Speaker 3: I just like, I love the Earles. I love all
- 25:03Speaker 3: of the Earles. And I... Don't find it embarrassing to
- 25:07Speaker 3: admit that you don't read. It's a hobby. Not everybody
- 25:10Speaker 3: has the same hobby. I don't enjoy reading.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, she can read. It's not like she
- 25:14Speaker 1: can't read. She just doesn't spend her time doing it.
- 25:16Speaker 1: She does a lot of other things. But I mean,
- 25:19Speaker 1: it does to me when you play in, when you
- 25:21Speaker 1: are part of the joke or you reveal the flaw
- 25:24Speaker 1: and have fun with the flaw, then it kind of
- 25:26Speaker 1: takes the power away from everybody else to make fun
- 25:28Speaker 1: of you, doesn't it? Totally. And it shows to me. real, genuine,
- 25:33Speaker 1: powerful self-confidence if you can do that.
- 25:37Speaker 3: You're so right.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Not everybody can.
- 25:39Speaker 3: No, but I just feel like she could have also
- 25:42Speaker 3: been like, I've read this book and I had to
- 25:43Speaker 3: read this and she could have come at it from
- 25:45Speaker 3: that angle trying to.
- 25:45Speaker 9: Prove her- Yeah, trying to scramble and been like, oh yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 9: I was reading everything.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I have been asked by people, what book are you
- 25:50Speaker 1: reading right now? And I'm thinking to myself, nothing right now.
- 25:53Speaker 1: But then I'll try and, or who are your favorite
- 25:55Speaker 1: top five authors? I can't remember the author's name of
- 25:58Speaker 1: a book I just read.
- 25:59Speaker 7: Ah!
- 26:00Speaker 3: Always.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Or the page I just read when I turn it.
- 26:02Speaker 3: No, I'm the same. I have friends who have a
- 26:04Speaker 3: book club, and I'm just like, I have no interest
- 26:06Speaker 3: in being in your book club because it's not a
- 26:08Speaker 3: hobby that I enjoy. But I'm not going to judge
- 26:10Speaker 3: you because you don't like to ride a bike or whatever.
- 26:13Speaker 1: This from an author, by the way, an author of
- 26:15Speaker 1: a book, which is the irony in all of this.
- 26:18Speaker 1: So early December, it sold out. Our Jingle Ball, Olivia Rodrigo,
- 26:22Speaker 1: Hilary Duff, Ray, Sienna Spiro, a lot of others going
- 26:25Speaker 1: to be there on that night to kick off the
- 26:27Speaker 1: holiday season. We're going to play with Jason a game
- 26:29Speaker 1: called Autumn in L.A. The provocative version.
- 26:36Speaker 7: Wow.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Did you make this in the tub last night? I
- 26:39Speaker 1: did not. I had no connection to that at all.
- 26:42Speaker 1: So here we go. Jason in Los Angeles. It's nice
- 26:45Speaker 1: to meet you. How are you, bro?
- 26:47Speaker 2: I'm good. How are you?
- 26:48Speaker 1: I'm solid. Thank you for listening to us. Jingle ball tickets.
- 26:51Speaker 1: You got to get three right before you get three wrong.
- 26:54Speaker 1: It's the Autumn in L.A. quiz. You ready?
- 26:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 1: All right, play along, everybody here. It's multiple choice. I'm
- 27:00Speaker 1: glad you're fired up.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Me too.
- 27:02Speaker 1: First one. Which autumn month gets the most rain? Is
- 27:06Speaker 1: it A, October, B, November, or C, December? The most
- 27:11Speaker 1: rain in L.A.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I'm going to go October.
- 27:16Speaker 1: No, it's C, December. It's all right. October's on your mind.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Don't worry. We're in October. I see it. I get it.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Next one. The West Hollywood Halloween Carnival takes place on
- 27:27Speaker 1: what street? Is it A... Sunset, B, Santa Monica, or C, Melrose?
- 27:32Speaker 2: Santa Monica.
- 27:35Speaker 1: That is correct. All right. You're in the game. Next year,
- 27:39Speaker 1: it's the 40th anniversary. Now, next one. What was the
- 27:41Speaker 1: hottest temperature ever recorded in October in downtown L.A. ever? A, 102, B, 108,
- 27:47Speaker 1: or C, 112? We go 108. 108. Yeah, that's right.
- 27:56Speaker 4: 1987.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Dude, you're so close. You're one away from the win.
- 27:59Speaker 1: It's the Ottoman LA quiz. The next one. Which LA
- 28:03Speaker 1: neighborhood is home to the city's historic Dia de los
- 28:07Speaker 1: Muertos celebration that includes nightly processions? Is it A, Huntington Park, B,
- 28:12Speaker 1: Olvera Street, or C, Boyle Heights?
- 28:18Speaker 2: I'm going to go Boyle Heights.
- 28:20Speaker 1: No, it's Olvera Street.
- 28:21Speaker 4: No.
- 28:23Speaker 1: All right, this is it.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, you got this.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Okay, thank you.
- 28:27Speaker 7: I've actually met you before.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I was at your book signing for my kiddo.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Well, I know you're talking to Tanya.
- 28:32Speaker 3: No, your book signing.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Oh, for my book signing. Yes, that's right.
- 28:35Speaker 2: No, your book signing at the Grove.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I was there too. With my sister.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. The Make Believers. Appreciate the support. There's
- 28:42Speaker 1: more to come from the Make Believers franchise somewhere near here.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Very cool. Spoiler alert. Now, Jason. For the win, how
- 28:49Speaker 1: many World Series have the Los Angeles Dodgers won? Not
- 28:53Speaker 1: including the Brooklyn Dodgers, LA Dodgers. Is it A, 4, B, 6, or.
- 28:58Speaker 2: C, 8? I am going to go 8.
- 29:05Speaker 1: And with that choice, you are going to go to
- 29:08Speaker 1: Jingle Ball. Congratulations. And maybe a 9 coming up. Thank you, Jason.
- 29:17Speaker 1: We'll see you there, bro. Appreciate you listening to us.
- 29:18Speaker 8: On air with Ryan.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Seacrest. 102.7 KISS FM. Cynthia Erivo. It's a household name.
- 29:29Speaker 1: It's a name. By the way, you have been associated
- 29:32Speaker 1: with so many different things, and you have gotten every
- 29:35Speaker 1: accolade and nominated three times for that Oscar. You will
- 29:39Speaker 1: be the next E! won't you? You will be.
- 29:41Speaker 5: Your lips to God's ears. Thank you for saying that.
- 29:44Speaker 1: No, it's amazing, though. I mean, multiple nominations for the Oscar.
- 29:48Speaker 1: So it's on the horizon, Cynthia.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Now, we want to talk, because here we are, hubbed
- 29:55Speaker 1: out of Los Angeles, we want to talk about the
- 29:58Speaker 1: beauty that will be Thursday night. This just sounds remarkable.
- 30:02Speaker 1: We all know the Hollywood Bowl. We love the Bowl.
- 30:04Speaker 1: We have so many memories of being at the Bowl,
- 30:06Speaker 1: as do you.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I do, yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 10: I've performed at the Bowl a number of times. I've
- 30:12Speaker 10: headlined it once before, and now I get to do
- 30:15Speaker 10: it again.
- 30:15Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 30:17Speaker 1: We had I want to hear about the show you're
- 30:19Speaker 1: going to do. Cynthia Erivo going to be on stage
- 30:21Speaker 1: at the Bowl in two nights. I want to hear
- 30:23Speaker 1: about the show. But one of our producers saw you
- 30:28Speaker 1: with Adam Lambert, saw you on stage together. Yeah. And
- 30:32Speaker 1: said how incredible it was that she made sure she
- 30:36Speaker 1: got tickets because she saw you that one time to
- 30:37Speaker 1: see this show as well. And she also said, whatever
- 30:40Speaker 1: perfume you have is amazing as you walk by her.
- 30:44Speaker 5: I do have a penchant for perfume. I love scents.
- 30:48Speaker 5: And I'm a bit of an alchemist when it comes
- 30:51Speaker 5: to that.
- 30:52Speaker 1: To the right chemistry of a scent. Well, she appreciated that.
- 30:54Speaker 1: So tell us, what can we look forward to on
- 30:56Speaker 1: Thursday night at the Hollywood Bowl?
- 30:59Speaker 5: It's a fun night.
- 30:59Speaker 10: I love doing these symphony concerts because I get to
- 31:02Speaker 10: really sort of dig into the music that I love singing.
- 31:05Speaker 5: You'll hear a piece or two of my own.
- 31:07Speaker 10: I'm singing with a friend of mine who is wonderful,
- 31:10Speaker 10: who has also helped write a couple songs and my
- 31:14Speaker 10: album just gone.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I forgive you.
- 31:17Speaker 10: And, you know, it's a collection of music that I've
- 31:20Speaker 10: sung over the years and some songs that I've never sung.
- 31:23Speaker 5: So I'm doing it for the first time for you,
- 31:25Speaker 5: the audience. And it's a good night. It's just a
- 31:28Speaker 5: good night. I have a lot of fun.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I read somewhere that you teased a special guest that
- 31:34Speaker 1: we will all be familiar with.
- 31:36Speaker 10: I did.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Is that true?
- 31:38Speaker 1: Or do we now know who that is?
- 31:39Speaker 4: It is.
- 31:41Speaker 10: You don't know who it is yet. I did tease,
- 31:44Speaker 10: but they might not be able to come anymore.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Would you like for me to fill in? You know what?
- 31:51Speaker 4: I might.
- 31:54Speaker 1: I don't know what my assignment would be, but I
- 31:55Speaker 1: have a, I'm a great, I have great spirit. Come on.
- 31:59Speaker 5: That's all we need. Good spirit.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Now, when you rehearse, your voice is just, it's so
- 32:05Speaker 1: signature and the strength and it's remarkable. When you rehearse,
- 32:10Speaker 1: do you have to hold back?
- 32:12Speaker 5: I try to.
- 32:14Speaker 10: I'm not very good at doing that because I really love,
- 32:18Speaker 10: I love the sound of the music. I get carried
- 32:22Speaker 10: away sometimes when rehearsing. but I try to hold back
- 32:24Speaker 10: so I can sing the show. When I'm rehearsing, I'm
- 32:29Speaker 10: rehearsing to literally an empty space and I get carried away.
- 32:33Speaker 1: You feel the song, you feel it all and you
- 32:35Speaker 1: go full voice. I'm not going to get into detail,
- 32:38Speaker 1: but we're on a Zoom as well and I'm seeing
- 32:41Speaker 1: your nails for today. I'm getting glimpses of those. Will
- 32:46Speaker 1: you have something special for Thursday night that's different or
- 32:48Speaker 1: are those show nails?
- 32:50Speaker 5: These are for what I'm doing now. We'll have something
- 32:53Speaker 5: different for Thursday.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Wow. See, just right there. I mean, you got it
- 32:56Speaker 1: all there with Cynthia Riva. I'm super excited for you
- 32:59Speaker 1: to be here to do this. And it's only this night?
- 33:01Speaker 1: It's only one night?
- 33:02Speaker 5: Only one night, yeah.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Where do you go from there? I just want to know,
- 33:07Speaker 1: what's in your diary?
- 33:09Speaker 10: So I go to Arizona for three days and I
- 33:12Speaker 10: come back to London to do SNL UK.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Well, no slow motion for Cynthia Riva. Great to see you.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Thank you for coming on. Cynthia Riva, let me sing
- 33:22Speaker 1: to you with special guest Tanya Sisney or me, maybe
- 33:25Speaker 1: in the audience doing something, bringing the spirit. And good luck.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Have so much fun. Great to see all your success.
- 33:32Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 33:33Speaker 1: You take care.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Bye.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Bye. You know, when you meet people like that, one, me,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I realize I don't have a skill. It's true. Like,
- 33:45Speaker 1: I meet someone like that, I'm like, gosh, that's what
- 33:47Speaker 1: talent is.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Right. What do you do, bro?
- 33:55Speaker 1: As it is finally fall-like in Southern California. So enjoying
- 33:58Speaker 1: the weather this week. I hope you are too. Appreciate
- 34:01Speaker 1: you hanging out with us. So inside our iHeartRadio app,
- 34:04Speaker 1: we've got the red microphone where you can leave us
- 34:05Speaker 1: a talk back. Let me play some of these essentially
- 34:08Speaker 1: voice notes back that come right into the studio. This
- 34:11Speaker 1: is from Albie who listens in San Francisco who wants
- 34:13Speaker 1: some dating advice. So Ronnie, Tanya, you're on.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 34:16Speaker 4: I was in Spain for the last 10 days. Just
- 34:18Speaker 4: got back last night. When I was going to the airport...
- 34:21Speaker 4: I saw this cute boy. We were making eye contact
- 34:24Speaker 4: the entire time. When I got off the train, he
- 34:27Speaker 4: got off with me at the airport. We started a conversation.
- 34:30Speaker 4: We gave two kisses goodbye, and now I'm back. How
- 34:33Speaker 4: do I reach out?
- 34:35Speaker 1: If you don't have the guy's information, I don't know
- 34:37Speaker 1: what it's going to be a fond memory at this point.
- 34:39Speaker 3: No, he has to find him.
- 34:40Speaker 1: He absolutely. How do you find him?
- 34:42Speaker 3: You can find anybody these days.
- 34:44Speaker 2: I agree.
- 34:44Speaker 9: And I think him probably like thinking this guy was cute.
- 34:47Speaker 9: He probably took a picture of him and you can
- 34:49Speaker 9: put that on Google and find him.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Honestly. Have you done this, Ronnie? It's going to sound
- 34:55Speaker 1: so creepy. Have you kissed in transit and then searched
- 34:57Speaker 1: someone to track him down.
- 34:59Speaker 2: To find him?
- 34:59Speaker 8: Yes.
- 34:59Speaker 1: You can reverse image search anyone.
- 35:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:02Speaker 1: There you go, Albie, some good news. Okay, Dina in
- 35:05Speaker 1: the 310 has advice for Tanya on clearing out her
- 35:08Speaker 1: camera roll.
- 35:09Speaker 7: Hi, I heard Tanya talking about duplicate pictures, and there's
- 35:13Speaker 7: a way on an iPhone where it'll delete all the
- 35:17Speaker 7: duplicate pictures for you. It does all the work for you.
- 35:19Speaker 7: It's fast and easy, and you don't have to do anything.
- 35:22Speaker 7: So I hope this helps.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Good luck, Tanya. That's great, because you take so many
- 35:26Speaker 1: before you find the one you like, and they're all
- 35:28Speaker 1: the same picture times 24.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:29Speaker 1: Just to clean it up.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Dina, thank you.
- 35:32Speaker 1: We're talking about haters on this show. I said, haters,
- 35:35Speaker 1: we don't want haters. Because I'm a people pleaser. Tanya,
- 35:38Speaker 1: you're a people pleaser.
- 35:39Speaker 5: Yes.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Paul and Corona, he reached out. He's a people pleaser.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Two minutes of talking with regards to haters.
- 35:46Speaker 2: I really appreciate that because you and I are on
- 35:49Speaker 2: the same path.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I'm a retired law enforcement. I'm a dad.
- 35:55Speaker 2: I'm a people pleaser.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I'm a gym goer. So we have a lot of
- 35:58Speaker 1: things in common.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Anyhow, thank you for that message.
- 36:01Speaker 1: And I hope to meet you one day. Well, first
- 36:03Speaker 1: of all, I'm flattered that you think we have so
- 36:04Speaker 1: much in common because we have a lot of part
- 36:06Speaker 1: we have in common, but the first part, like you
- 36:08Speaker 1: had a real job and you have a, you have
- 36:10Speaker 1: a real responsibility. I'm still just a child, but thank you, Paul.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I appreciate you listening Corona and I get it. I'm
- 36:17Speaker 1: with you. Thanks everybody for a great Tuesday. Went pretty fast.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Don't you think?
- 36:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sad.
- 36:22Speaker 5: It's over.
- 36:23Speaker 1: I can hear it in your voice. There's so much
- 36:25Speaker 1: more to accomplish today, though, Tanya. Tomorrow, we're back with
- 36:29Speaker 1: that free money, paying your bills every hour, and midterms already.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Can you believe it? It's 6.55. If you're studying for
- 36:36Speaker 1: a big test, this is the absolute best time to study.
- 36:40Speaker 1: So midterms at school, if you're going through that, got
- 36:42Speaker 1: that coming up. And tickets to Kiss FM's Jingle Ball,
- 36:44Speaker 1: presented by Capital One every hour. Doja Cat's on Kiss now.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Talk to you first thing. Thanks for listening to On
- 36:50Speaker 1: Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make sure to subscribe, and we'll
- 36:53Speaker 1: talk to you again tomorrow.
