- 0:00I'm really, it's like conventional sunscreen, oxybinsane, all these other ingredients that really cause cancer and they
- 0:07destroy the coral reefs. These things were given to us for a certain reason, and then we as humans just really just
- 0:13mess things up with chemicals. The whole chemical revolution was not what they promised.
- 0:17And then I guess the last way to harness sunshine is smelling these fragrances are like smelling glue as far as the toxicity, but it's also their
- 0:25manufacturer to get you addicted to that. When you're stressed, your nervous system does this thing, well at first when you go into flight or fight, your blood pressure and heart rate go up.
- 0:34Then when you go past that into functional freeze, which is where most of America is. It's where they just associate and scroll on their phone and watch the Netflix
- 0:41marathon and don't get off the couch all day. You start dumping minerals out of your kidneys, because your body can't hold its pressure and heart rate anymore.
- 0:47This when people's blood pressure starts to fall, their cores all bottomed out, because stress impedes absorption.
- 0:53I've heard you say that histamine could be the reason you have anxiety.
- 0:56The two main causes for that are.
- 1:02Welcome to this show, Dr. Jess.
- 1:04Thank you for having me.
- 1:05And we are having so much fun off camera. And you're so full of knowledge when it comes to detoxification, how to make it simple, how to make it easy,
- 1:13folding proteins and changing things in your brain, like this, no wonder why when you're on a podcast, so many people listen.
- 1:20So that's going to be no different than today. So it's an honor and privilege to have you on our show.
- 1:24Thank you. I really appreciate that. Yeah. It's been it's great. Thanks for having me. I can't wait.
- 1:29Let's go. Like, let's go. We'll just cut out the, the swear words.
- 1:34Let's dig into it. You know, you, you talk a lot about sunlight as like the ultimate healer. Why sunlight, not, you know, why sunlight, such a powerful healing tool.
- 1:42Well, before we do that, yes.
- 1:45But your medical doctor, they, there's a medical doctor story. All, all, all, all Yens guys, I'm from Pittsburgh.
- 1:51All Yens guys have your story when you make that transition from alopathic to natural pathic or natural medicine, functional medicine.
- 1:58Yes. It's been a wild ride. So, um, I went to school in Kentucky, you know, which is not necessarily the mecca for holistic healing.
- 2:06So I just thought the only thing universe you can talk, you know, do, do University of Louis.
- 2:12Of course they're a little okay, but you know, it's okay. So, um, no, I know right. So it's, I didn't know there was anything else other than medical school.
- 2:21I didn't know about chiropractor school. I didn't know about naturopathic school. I just thought that was the, the crème de la crème to treat patients.
- 2:27Yeah. So when the medical school, they are drink the cool aid. I got all my flu shots. I took all the medicines.
- 2:34I did everything they told me. And I got out and I worked as a hospitalist from a seven years, which is sort of the quarterback of the team in the hospital.
- 2:41So the primary care doctors don't have time to go in, admit their patients and see them after seeing all their patients in clinic, go to the hospital and see in patients.
- 2:49So they hire us to admit their patients for them, take care of them while they're inpatient in the hospital and then release them.
- 2:56So I had to, you know, know a little bit about everything, consult all these different specialists. And oftentimes discharge patients on 30 to 40 different medications.
- 3:05And then you'd see in the next week, you know, emergency department, you would send people away from the hospital on 30 to 40 meds.
- 3:12Oh, yeah. How was that even possible? That thought that was health. I mean, let's talk about it. Lasix, lysenopryl, metopryl, plavix, crestor, I mean, whatever you want, all these different drugs.
- 3:22That's just the routine for heart disease. 30 drugs. Oh, yeah, it wants. Oh, yeah. And, you know, did I go to cafeteria?
- 3:31I mean, I have a bad view of some of the mistakes that happen in alopathic medicine and traditional medicine, but I didn't know 30 to 40 meds.
- 3:38And they're allowed to be drive off the parking lot. Oh, yeah. We had to reconcile their medication list. Yeah. So it was fun times for everyone.
- 3:47Trust me. They were not in the least bit healthy. I've got quiet. I didn't consider that healthy there. But it got worse when I would go down the cafeteria.
- 3:55Yeah. No, it can. Just wait. I would go to the cafeteria. And I would be like, why are we feeding factory farm meats and process dairy?
- 4:03And there's cheetos in here and coconut papse to patients. They're sick chronically ill that have cancer. And they would be like, because the FDA says we have to go by the food pyramid.
- 4:13And I'm like, but that's this real is saying a cause. So they would be like, you can't say this thing where you can't work for us. If you keep saying this, and of course I kept saying it.
- 4:22Because it's I can't you're a free thinker. Well, it's like if I'm asleep to everything. And I don't see it. You're lucky. Like how you're lucky stars. But the minute I see the truth, I'm not going to. I can't do it anymore. Like I'm not going to shut up.
- 4:36So basically their last straw was I wrote in a person's chart and the electronic medical record that came in. This person has been on privacy, which is a proton pump inhibitor to reduce the reduced acid in their stomach for eight years.
- 4:47And the package insert clearly says six months to a year. And then the primary care doctor that put them on that, said, call the lead hospitalist to complain about me.
- 4:56And he said, if you don't quit doing this, you can't work for us anymore. And I wasn't married. I didn't have kids. So I was like, I quit. Bye.
- 5:04That was nice of you, by the way. Yeah, you could have fought that probably. Yeah.
- 5:08But like, you know, it's this huge, basically monster of it itself, of itself right now that like it's almost easier just to walk away than is to try and fight the system in it because it's so broken right now.
- 5:19So I just made this decision to jump ship. And I probably wouldn't have done it had I known that I would make a fourth of what I used to make in the hospital because they make it they tie it up like a little present with a bow for all the doctors when you graduate.
- 5:31You've been all practice insurance taken care of all your your salaries taken care of everything. You don't have to worry about anything in the hospital. You walk, plug it right into their system. Yes. And then when you leave, you have to become a business person.
- 5:43Some class. I'd never had a business class in my life. So it was like two by five. They don't teach business and medical school or nutrition. Unfortunately, starting to I got maybe six hours.
- 5:53Yeah. So you burst the two of my bottles. Bubbles. One Santa Claus is not real. And the food pyramid is why hospitals feed patients that crap and everyone can agree that that is crap. I did not know that they're they're following the food pyramid at a hospital. I mean, I still don't know. There's medical doctors. Yeah. Right in a hospital that read literature. Right. So maybe. Yeah, you think. I mean, that's the thing we were never taught that food is
- 6:23medicine or health. And I mean, even if the food pyramid was real, it still doesn't mean that cancer patient when they have a full liquid diet should have jello. I don't know. Make call me crazy crazy. And the jello is horrible.
- 6:35It's horrible. It's horrible jello. No nutritional value whatsoever. I'm just talking about flavor. Like if you're going to make a toxic, at least make it like I'm going to talk. I mean, you have the you have all of jivodons, you know, the chemical manufacturers, natural flavor manufacturers, you know, they're the list. And they put that crappy flavor. Like just move on. You could do better. Do better at your job killing people. But Santa Claus is real. Continue. Sorry to burst your bubble on that. So yeah, after that, I really
- 7:05made no money. I lived in California with my best friend at her fiance. And I drove an hour one way to Whittaker, wellness and Newport Beach in 45 minutes, the other way to train with the naturopath.
- 7:15And so I was making a little bit of money at Whittaker, wellness training as your medical doctor, who was awake. And then the naturopath actually taught me the most.
- 7:23So after that, I ended up starting a supplement company and doing all this other stuff and then jumping headfirst into the holistic world and worked at a naturopath clinic where the naturopaths taught me a lot. So the chiro's naturopath at gockers have actually taught me the most.
- 7:37As far as like how the body actually works and how to have a different like set of lenses on when you're looking because it's really everything I've learned in school has helped me immensely.
- 7:45Like physiology and I mean, you know, his thought all this stuff is helping is hard massive. Yeah, but it's like they gave you the wrong perspective in school, the wrong lenses to look at the human body because in medicine, they have all these different specialties that kind of have chart wars and fight amongst whose organ system is the most important and they don't realize that like the whole body works is a symphony and they don't realize that like you're kind of convoluting the body by separating everything and then no one knows really what's going on in the whole the body as a whole.
- 8:16So it's really messed up and they don't have the right goggles on to see how it really works. It's true of many things true of religion. It's true of how you how you read the Bible. It's true of how you read the Quran. It's true of how you like I two different people read the Quran. One's like one to hurt people. Other ones want to love people like that's so true. Yeah, it's so true.
- 8:35I memorized it and they're just it's crazy how lenses change things chiropractic has a great lens right the body can heal itself. Yes, you know, remove toxins and traumas and interference in the body can heal nervous system or the nervous system, you know, and so it's it's beautiful. So you have lots of crazy background. A lot of fun. You learn from naturopaths chiropractors.
- 8:58God on fire for this information and because of that background you really understand. Like I thought I could read literature and understand stuff and I thought I was pretty good until I start talking to you. I'm like I'm you just you're you're really good at it. So I want to I want to unpack some of that stuff. So for example.
- 9:18Let's talk about sunshine. Yes. So why do you believe sunshine is the ultimate healer? Well, you have a little biological clock and every cell of your body that responds to light.
- 9:31And we actually make bio photons based on light. We actually have light IVs that you can put inside the skin, green, red, yellow that actually heal people certain frequencies of light and the sunlight actually turns on our mitochondria.
- 9:45And mitochondria, these little powerhouses in every cell that make ATP or energy except they're not red blood cells. They only sell they're not in.
- 9:52And so, you know, how can you expect the organs to function properly if they're very cells that make them up to inflection properly and they need light to drive those reactions in the Krebs cycle the AT the electron transport chain to make ATP.
- 10:05And so if you really want to have energy, you actually like a battery need to be charged out in the sun. And so I tell people if you're privileged enough to move your body, you should lift weights in the sun for that's like two gold stars instead of one.
- 10:17What about me at my house and Utah with that I've my first move to here. I was up on a mountain by myself and my wife thought I was crazy, but I worked out naked. And it was awesome.
- 10:29Were you were you setting your testicles? I owe everything for a couple hours. I mean, I was even doing kettlebell swings. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
- 10:40That's going to make this one go viral. But it's true story. I'm just I'm just being honest like this is I believe what you believe. Like what an opportunity you said get outside and work out your privilege to be able to work out.
- 10:52Yeah, the privilege to do that. And you said something was really cool is that sunshine donates and I'm going to ask this again, but sunshine donates electrons that drive the electron transport chain in the cell.
- 11:07It's the light actually drives reactions within the cell and turns on the cell so it makes ATP. Yes, absolutely.
- 11:14That's infrared light. Yes, I play infrared light and sunlight too. It's infrared light. The sun. Right. Yeah. And the sunlight. So is there anything else in the like this is just for me personally. I really want to know the science.
- 11:26So the infrared spectrum drives the mitochondria. Is there any other. Is there any other like wavelengths. Does it you know I know there's eyeballs involved here and there's there's other there's more than just infrared light.
- 11:42Yes, like you literally it goes into your third eye and literally tells the body what time to set for each itself in the body tells you what time to release hormones.
- 11:51It's a right time to release nerve haptides in the body. They're on a circadian rhythm. Just like you are. So your hormones are released according to time and sunlight in the day. Not just that, but they have red light orange light yellow light in the sun.
- 12:03And these frequencies are things we don't get all the time because we're always looking at blue light LED lights, which are not the full frequency, but nature intended us to have.
- 12:12Further where you are from nature, the security are going to be correct. Here's something interesting.
- 12:17When it comes to infrared light, we have low E glass windows and our homes, guess what spectrum it blocks? The blue. The red light. Oh, the. Oh.
- 12:30Oh, I thought you were going to tell me some of the cool. But that's not that's still far. Yeah, you know, because you think about we're trying to save from our houses from getting hot.
- 12:40Oh, so it moves out the spectrum that actually drives your mitochondria. So if you had just regular glass. Yes, you'd be getting full spectrum light.
- 12:51But you're eliminating, like if you put a meter up to the window, you eliminate the red light spectrum infrared spectrum.
- 12:57Oh, wow.
- 12:58So when you're inside, you're screwed. You're a plant that's in a closet in the door shot.
- 13:03Yeah.
- 13:04And you're eating food and a K watering the plant and the plant still dying because it needs sunlight. There's a vibe.
- 13:10We're all like killer wells, the sea world.
- 13:12Yeah, killer world, the sea world. Sad as it is, but you're right. Right.
- 13:16The further away we get from nature and sunlight. So what are three ways you can harness the power of sunlight?
- 13:22Well, you know, I've actually recently been trying not to wear sunglasses anymore because A, when you have sunglasses on, you don't aren't aware of how much you're burning in the sun.
- 13:32Yeah.
- 13:33Right. And so that's not good. Really, if you want to be out in the sun, you have to be aware of where your tone is in the sun and how long you've had been in the sun.
- 13:42The other thing is sunscreen. I'm really against like conventional sunscreen, the oxy benzene, all these other ingredients that are really cause cancer and they destroy the coral reefs.
- 13:55And if you go to other countries, they tell you not to wear sunscreen when you're when you're scuba diving or snorkeling because it actually destroys the reefs.
- 14:02So what is it doing there?
- 14:03You think of the destroy nature? Do we think we're nature? Maybe, maybe.
- 14:06Now it's separate. They're the nature separate.
- 14:09Just insane.
- 14:10I know you're right. That would take makes it proofs the point though that you know, these things were given to us for a certain reason.
- 14:16And then we as humans just really just mess things up with chemicals.
- 14:19The whole chemical revolution was not what they promised.
- 14:23Let's say that.
- 14:24And then I guess the last way to harness sunshine is what I've mentioned before is movement in the sun.
- 14:30You can really kind of double your energy and how charged your mitochondria are just by movement in the sun.
- 14:36Adding movement as well as being in the sun.
- 14:39Yes, while you're in the sun.
- 14:40Just not kettlebell swings.
- 14:41Well, it was almost your loan and private shirt.
- 14:44Yeah, because I did.
- 14:46Speaking of sunshine, why is sweating one of the top detox strategies?
- 14:51And it's actually surprising how powerful it is.
- 14:53Yeah, sweating is my favorite actually.
- 14:56I really got in personally.
- 14:58I got into this and I got into hot yoga about 10 years ago.
- 15:01And I couldn't believe how much better I felt after class.
- 15:04And then when I got into this whole holistic world, I started taking binders before sweating and after sweating.
- 15:09And I noticed that my body would pick up sweat a lot more of quicker.
- 15:13And the reason this was important to me was because I could see how many of my patients would tell me they couldn't sweat.
- 15:19And they thought, I glisten, they thought this was normal.
- 15:22And I'm like, no, this isn't good.
- 15:24You know, with conventional medicine will tell you just sweat to cool your body off.
- 15:28But they still believe that.
- 15:29They still believe that.
- 15:30They still believe that.
- 15:31Yeah, they have a rights these papers.
- 15:33And so, you know, but the truth of the matter is if you start looking at the studies,
- 15:36you can sweat out pesticide residues.
- 15:38You can sweat out, you know, PCBs.
- 15:40You can sweat out a lot of different heavy metals.
- 15:42Yeah, BPA as well.
- 15:44A lot of different chemicals can come out in the sweat.
- 15:46And so when people aren't sweating, I see them have some of the worst total talks tests,
- 15:51which is looking all different pesticides, thalates, parabens, plastics.
- 15:54They have the worst tests because they can't sweat.
- 15:58They'll get all hot and red and overheat.
- 16:00And they'll never really break a sweat.
- 16:01Or their heart rate will go up.
- 16:02And they'll start getting all pots and tacky like them.
- 16:05And then, or they're going to feel like they're going to pass out.
- 16:07And they'll never break a sweat.
- 16:08And that's not good.
- 16:09Because the people that can sweat actually not only release toxins,
- 16:12but the body tries, it's a small stressor on the body.
- 16:15And it always wants to go back to hormises or homeostasis to always trying to find that right.
- 16:19You're creating hormises that I'm trying to say.
- 16:21You want to go back to homeostasis.
- 16:22And so what that means is when the body is stressed,
- 16:25it gives it like a second chance to retry to get to be back at homeostasis.
- 16:30It's almost like pulls it out.
- 16:31And then your body has to come back to center.
- 16:33So what happens is misfolded proteins, right?
- 16:37That really lead to improper genes, right?
- 16:40Bad things.
- 16:41Yes, bad things.
- 16:42They're misfolded.
- 16:43Like let's say Alzheimer's proteins in the brain, right?
- 16:45So when you heat, you refold the protein, the misfolder protein,
- 16:48what's it try to refold again?
- 16:50It's almost like injecting along the plane of a scar.
- 16:52It lets the fascia relay again.
- 16:54So that stressor helps the body come out and chaos and then come back into homeostasis or normalcy.
- 17:01And so that's what sweat and can do for the body.
- 17:04So a lot of people who have brain fog, who have a huge toxic load,
- 17:09sweating is their friend.
- 17:10And I love to get people who can't sweat in the sun and say,
- 17:13okay, you can only tell right five minutes.
- 17:15Every third day, add two minutes on.
- 17:17So how do you get people sweating again?
- 17:19Trigger it like that.
- 17:20They have to go and do it.
- 17:21Even if it's uncomfortable for them, if you feel like you're going to pass out.
- 17:24So you're going to be trained your body to sweat?
- 17:25Retrain your body.
- 17:26Almost still like I'd be able to acclimate to that stressor.
- 17:29And so.
- 17:30So that's why they can't, that's too much or meets us.
- 17:32Correct.
- 17:33Their bodies too stressed out.
- 17:34They're in two.
- 17:35They're toxic buckets too full.
- 17:36Their nervous system is too rattled.
- 17:38It's scary.
- 17:39And it's like.
- 17:40Yeah, like I can't, it's almost like people don't have exercise.
- 17:43They have exercise intolerance or they can't handle like a cold plunge, right?
- 17:46I had exercise intolerance.
- 17:47Yeah.
- 17:48So you know what that's like.
- 17:49You know, so that it's like that in the sauna for them because it's mimicking exercise in the body.
- 17:53A little bit.
- 17:54So, so you just have to trigger them slowly and add a couple of minutes on every time they go.
- 17:58And then sometimes it will help us getting them drinking ginger tea.
- 18:02Or taking a bite out of the forehand.
- 18:03That's right.
- 18:04That's Chinese medicine.
- 18:05Yes.
- 18:06So that works.
- 18:07Yeah.
- 18:08Yaro, Yaro works too.
- 18:09Yaro grows everywhere.
- 18:10Yes.
- 18:11I've done a video on Yaro.
- 18:12Oh.
- 18:13Yeah, that's true.
- 18:14Yaro.
- 18:15So here's.
- 18:16So the answer is you got to sweat to you, not to you bleed, but you got to sweat to heal.
- 18:19Correct.
- 18:20You know the song, you got to sweat to you bleed.
- 18:22Yes.
- 18:23What is that song?
- 18:24Here's that by like CNC movie.
- 18:26CNC Music Factory.
- 18:27Yes.
- 18:28I'm playing.
- 18:29He's 50.
- 18:30So.
- 18:31You know, it's no.
- 18:32CNC Music.
- 18:33You got to sweat to you heal.
- 18:34So sweat to you heal.
- 18:35I know a mum had cancer.
- 18:36She was given drugs to take.
- 18:37She said no.
- 18:38I looked at the side effects.
- 18:39She did a lump back to me.
- 18:40She didn't do chemo.
- 18:41She's now a breast cancer.
- 18:43Breast and lung.
- 18:44Oh, wow.
- 18:45So she had a little lump back to me.
- 18:46Oh my gosh.
- 18:48And then she had like one of her lungs complete your movement.
- 18:51Low back to me.
- 18:52Low back to me.
- 18:53And no chemo.
- 18:54And no.
- 18:55She did a little bit of radiation.
- 18:56No chemo.
- 18:57No.
- 18:58No.
- 18:59No.
- 19:00What's the toxic breast cancer drug drug?
- 19:03To Moxifin.
- 19:04To Moxifin.
- 19:05Like I don't know why that's still on the market.
- 19:07But my, my, I just thought my mum had cancer.
- 19:09And I was like, I don't know why that's still on the market.
- 19:17They keep women on that for five years, even if they had stage one
- 19:20or cancer inside too.
- 19:21They'll keep them alive for five years.
- 19:23Yeah.
- 19:24So she didn't take it.
- 19:25So she's, she beat all the stats.
- 19:26But no, she did.
- 19:27What?
- 19:28Sweated.
- 19:29That was like her protocol.
- 19:30I can tell on it.
- 19:31She got a sauna.
- 19:32And she, she's sweat.
- 19:33Yeah.
- 19:34She had 14 amalgam fillings.
- 19:35She got them out after she got cancer.
- 19:38That's how, that's it too.
- 19:39She have root canals.
- 19:40Yeah.
- 19:41Yeah.
- 19:42Get those first.
- 19:43She did.
- 19:44Everybody I know that has breast cancer as a root canal.
- 19:46Yeah.
- 19:47Doesn't it work with the meridians or something?
- 19:49See?
- 19:50It's, it's crazy.
- 19:52It's, it's this, then this, you know?
- 19:55The body works as a whole, not in separate systems.
- 19:57Just like nature.
- 19:58When conventional medicine gets that right, they'll be doing better.
- 20:00They're going to do better.
- 20:02Yeah, they're doing really well.
- 20:03So you, you triggered something else, funny that I was kind of sad.
- 20:06Oh my gosh.
- 20:07This is so fun talking to you.
- 20:09My mum is a survivor.
- 20:10And so I don't think many people with breast and lung cancer
- 20:13that took the drugs and did chemo would be alive at this point.
- 20:17Yeah.
- 20:18So she inspired me.
- 20:19And when she was in natural health, I was.
- 20:21And I was drinking Mountain Dews.
- 20:22And like, and so on toxic dad.
- 20:25Oh, yeah.
- 20:26Non toxic dad was not always not toxic.
- 20:28He's toxic dad.
- 20:29I'm talking dad.
- 20:30I did, I did harvest my own elk and elk me when I was in Montana.
- 20:33And you're halfway toxic dad.
- 20:34Yeah.
- 20:35But I was drinking Mountain Dews, you know?
- 20:37I don't know.
- 20:39Pepsi, you know, all the things.
- 20:41Wow.
- 20:42Yeah.
- 20:43So, but you got sick, right?
- 20:44And that.
- 20:45Well.
- 20:46Yes.
- 20:47No.
- 20:48No.
- 20:49What happened was probably like three years ago.
- 20:51I was super stressed out.
- 20:52I had a bunch of horrible things happen to me in the last seven years.
- 20:55And it was just all stacked on top of each other.
- 20:57Like back to back to back and never ended like lawsuits.
- 21:00My license to rendered, you know, tons of like three lawsuits.
- 21:04I mean, six years.
- 21:05It goes back to your, if you know the truth, you have to speak it, right?
- 21:08Yeah.
- 21:10So all that happened.
- 21:11And, um, wait, why did you ask, what did you ask me?
- 21:13I was, you were got sick before.
- 21:14Uh-huh.
- 21:15I said, if you ever get sick.
- 21:16Oh, sick.
- 21:17Yeah.
- 21:18So then I was so stressed out.
- 21:19And I was like, I didn't know what was wrong.
- 21:21I was on like two side all.
- 21:22And I went to a Joe to spend that event with one of my friends.
- 21:24And I got lab work back when I was there that I got in a few days before.
- 21:27And I remember sitting at Josephine, who's speaking, I kept staring at my friend.
- 21:30I was like, what's wrong with you?
- 21:31And like, all my blood works in the red.
- 21:33This has never happened to me before and never.
- 21:35And I was like, well, this is what's wrong with me.
- 21:37And I started looking at all the abnormalities in the complete blood cell count in the CBC.
- 21:41And my MC.
- 21:42Your CBC was off.
- 21:43Oh, my CRP was eight.
- 21:46My vitamin D was 12.
- 21:47That's hard to do.
- 21:48I go, but I was like, why can't I lose this 30 pound on the smell?
- 21:51My CCRP is eight.
- 21:52This is a marker of inflammation.
- 21:54So, um, and then my MCV, my, I mean, cardiovascular volume was 106 side of B vitamin deficiency.
- 22:01And it was making me suicidal.
- 22:03Because you need B vitamins to make hormones, neurotransmitters, and red blood cells, which
- 22:07was what was wrong with my CBC.
- 22:08So I took one look at that.
- 22:09And I went and I instacarded a B, a B complex methyl B supreme.
- 22:14And I remember taking it.
- 22:15And I was like, kind of sort of made me sweat a little bit.
- 22:18And it was like in Pleasantville when everything goes from black and white to color.
- 22:21That's what happened to me.
- 22:22So you had a B, B 12.
- 22:24A B 12 folate.
- 22:25Probably all vitamins.
- 22:26I mean, vitamin D was in 12.
- 22:28So all my vitamins and minerals were in the toilet because I was so stressed out.
- 22:31When you're stressed, your nervous system does this thing.
- 22:34Well, at first when you go into flight or fight, your blood pressure and heart rate go up.
- 22:38Right?
- 22:39Because you're puffy.
- 22:40You're holding on to things.
- 22:41Then when you go past that into functional freeze, which is where most of America is.
- 22:45Yes, functional freeze.
- 22:46Yeah.
- 22:47Just like that term early did that.
- 22:48It's the truth.
- 22:49And they start, that's where they just dissociate and scroll on their phone and watch them.
- 22:51Netflix, my iPhone don't get off the couch all day.
- 22:53Yeah.
- 22:54So many people.
- 22:55And so they, you start dumping minerals out of your kidneys because your body can't hold its pressure
- 22:59and heart rate anymore.
- 23:00This when people's blood pressure starts up all their cores all bottoms out.
- 23:03This is where they're just, their adrenals are done and they can't hold any minerals.
- 23:06And that was what had happened to me.
- 23:08I couldn't even like absorb fat soluble vitamins.
- 23:11I couldn't absorb it and assimilate from my food.
- 23:13I was eating red meat.
- 23:14It's not like I was a vegan.
- 23:15And I'm like B 12 was still like that because stress impedes absorption.
- 23:20So you're a joe dispensa and you learned about breath work and connecting to your heart and connecting to your body.
- 23:26I was literally like, I'm going to manifest and turn these back to normal.
- 23:29And I did it in three weeks.
- 23:30Beautiful.
- 23:31Yeah.
- 23:32So yeah.
- 23:33I was like, well, this is the best place I can be.
- 23:35I feel like these labs fuck.
- 23:37So your blood works normally.
- 23:38So you did, you know, as a functional medicine doctor, just like everybody else, you know,
- 23:43you had access to all the right things.
- 23:45But just like everyone else, we go through some really hard times.
- 23:50You just can't see yourself.
- 23:51It's just you can see everyone else and tell them what their problem is.
- 23:54Yeah.
- 23:55That's what usually how it is.
- 23:57It's how it is for me.
- 23:58Yeah.
- 23:59And everyone.
- 24:00Yeah.
- 24:01What are you going to do?
- 24:02I don't know how many podcasts I've done.
- 24:04I'm like, I'm still in sympathetic.
- 24:06Most of the time, I'm just going, going, going.
- 24:09And my goal in life is to be more connected, be more of my parasite, be more present.
- 24:13It's hard.
- 24:14Me and you, like your energy and my energy were like, let's go.
- 24:17You know, what are three blood tests that everyone should ask for?
- 24:21Well, I'd be remiss now without saying a CBC with differential.
- 24:24So let me tell you why I say this.
- 24:26It's old.
- 24:27They haven't changed blood work in like 30 to 50 years.
- 24:29It's not my favorite way to test people.
- 24:31But it's a great starting point because everyone gets blood work.
- 24:34So it's standardized really well for the most part.
- 24:36And if you look at functional ranges and be real nitpicky with everything,
- 24:40you can really pull out some trends and find some things, right?
- 24:43So with a CBC with diff, like, you know,
- 24:45I like to look at people's blood cells.
- 24:47They're MCV.
- 24:48They're white blood cell count.
- 24:49Is it robust or not?
- 24:50And then I break it down into the types of white blood cells.
- 24:52You know, how well are your lymphocytes doing?
- 24:54They fight cancer and viruses.
- 24:56We want that above two.
- 24:57You know, so how many people's aren't.
- 24:59And then you know, you can see, you know,
- 25:00are you going to ease in a Phil's high?
- 25:01Well, that's parasitic sign, right?
- 25:03So you can see so many different things from the CBC.
- 25:05If you know what you're looking for, be vitamin deficiency, right?
- 25:08You can see inflammation in there too.
- 25:10Really important.
- 25:11If there's tick associated illnesses,
- 25:12their blood platelets will be low a lot of times.
- 25:15So you can kind of see trends in people after they told you the symptoms
- 25:18and their story and you're like,
- 25:19Oh, okay.
- 25:20See what's going on here.
- 25:21That's one CBC with diff.
- 25:23I would say also it's really important to look at people's blood sugar.
- 25:27Really important.
- 25:28So a fasting blood sugar and hemoglobin A1C are really important for me too.
- 25:32And a hemoglobin A1C is three-month measure of blood sugars or average of blood sugars.
- 25:36Let's me know how people's body are metabolizing and processing things
- 25:39and how their liver is working.
- 25:41And then the last blood work, let's see.
- 25:44I would have to say, I really like the inflammatory lab.
- 25:47So I think I'd have to look at a full thyroid panel.
- 25:50And that's because hypothyroidism, I think it's like one in six.
- 25:53Women have that now.
- 25:55It's crazy.
- 25:56Probably all of us have some level of thyroid dysfunction.
- 25:58Right.
- 25:59Because it's the most sensitive gland it just is.
- 26:01It's so rattled by so many different things.
- 26:03And it really irks me when doctors only get a TSH or like a free T-4.
- 26:08In the most active thyroid hormones, free T-3.
- 26:10And I also can see how the liver is working by looking at the conversion from free T-4 to free T-3.
- 26:14So it's not the liver.
- 26:15And you have a liver issue.
- 26:16Exactly.
- 26:17And I can compare that with everything else in the CBC,
- 26:19along with some of the things I've seen there total talks,
- 26:21which is one of my favorite tests to run.
- 26:22That's a good one.
- 26:23And then I can see what, where are your drainage pathway blocked,
- 26:26based on what you told me based on objective data.
- 26:29So.
- 26:30That's a nice match.
- 26:31Yeah.
- 26:32I see what you're saying.
- 26:33I'm not taking that.
- 26:34That's very logical, actually.
- 26:35Yeah.
- 26:36So talk about the thyroid thing, just a little bit.
- 26:37Sure.
- 26:38Like because most docs definitely, traditional docs, you know,
- 26:41low, what, T-3 or T-4.
- 26:44Yeah.
- 26:45T-3 to free T-3 or free T-4 usually indicates Hashimoto's usually.
- 26:50And they won't even check the antibodies.
- 26:52So like, you know, let's say you have a low, let's say you have a high T-SH,
- 26:55let me explain this to people.
- 26:56So T-SH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone.
- 26:58It comes from the pituitary in the brain and it's on a feedback loop.
- 27:00So it talks to the thyroid gland and tells the thyroid gland to make free T-4,
- 27:04which then converts to free T-3 in the liver.
- 27:06Okay.
- 27:07If T-4 to the liver, T-3.
- 27:09Yes.
- 27:10If.
- 27:11T-SH.
- 27:12Right.
- 27:13It turns to T-3 in the liver and then the thyroid hormones, right,
- 27:16which run your metabolism, everything.
- 27:18But if the thyroid hormones aren't reproduced properly in their low,
- 27:23they will send that feedback loop back to the brain to say,
- 27:25make more T-SH.
- 27:26Make more T-SH.
- 27:27So what we see is that thyroid stimulating hormone was high,
- 27:29the thyroid hormones go low because they're on a feedback loop,
- 27:31and vice versa for high birth thyroidism.
- 27:34So you have a low T-SH and high thyroid numbers.
- 27:37But you know, they taught us this black and white thing where people are hyper,
- 27:40high, both thyroid in school, and it just doesn't work that way.
- 27:43There's some people with a switchback and forth between the two.
- 27:45You can't just label it low or high thyroid.
- 27:47It's dysfunctional.
- 27:48And so sometimes you'll see high numbers, sometimes you'll see low in a person,
- 27:51depending on what's going on in their life.
- 27:53The other thing is they don't check antibodies.
- 27:55So anti-thyroidgobia and TPO antibodies, thyroid proxies,
- 27:59they don't check those.
- 28:00Why?
- 28:01Because I need to know if you have low thyroid.
- 28:03Is this an autoimmune condition or is it due to like stress?
- 28:06It's a totally different, like, solution.
- 28:09And what I would give them, based on that.
- 28:12So they don't even check antibodies.
- 28:14And I can barely do anything with the T-SH.
- 28:16I'm like, great.
- 28:17Well, your brain is talking to the thyroid gland.
- 28:19When the thyroid gland is doing, I don't know.
- 28:21I don't know.
- 28:22Yeah.
- 28:23So now that everyone's going to ask their medical doctors for a full thyroid panel,
- 28:27and they're going to listen to this podcast, and they're going to learn why.
- 28:29Because you can't argue with that.
- 28:30That's why they develop the test.
- 28:32Yes, that's right.
- 28:33But you know, they do things, I would just be frank here.
- 28:36They do things in medicine that aren't always correct for the patient.
- 28:38Let's use an example as the VA hospital.
- 28:40Okay.
- 28:41I trained at the VA hospital.
- 28:42It was part of my rotation and residency.
- 28:44But, and they are the most inefficient hospital on the planet.
- 28:47I'm sorry.
- 28:48And the drugs that the government bids for you would think they would do better for veterans.
- 28:51They bid on the lowest cost drug.
- 28:53Not the most efficacious one.
- 28:55So if you guys want to know how real medicine works,
- 28:57they pick labs that are covered by insurance that are cost effective for them.
- 29:02Not best for the patient.
- 29:04So it comes down to once they can cost effective.
- 29:06Of course.
- 29:07Just like building a house.
- 29:08Imagine that.
- 29:09Yeah.
- 29:10It's business.
- 29:11What are three everyday items that just wreaking havoc on hormones?
- 29:14Mm-hmm.
- 29:15Man.
- 29:16Oh gosh.
- 29:17Just to go and laundry detergent.
- 29:19Um.
- 29:20What's in it?
- 29:21Oh my gosh.
- 29:22VOCs.
- 29:23Mm-hmm.
- 29:24And all kinds of gross chemicals that are forever chemicals that don't break down.
- 29:28Yeah.
- 29:29I can't tell you exactly what they're about sensitive VOCs.
- 29:30No, yeah.
- 29:31Vulture and compounds.
- 29:32Absolutely.
- 29:33Yeah.
- 29:34And this is what microtoxins are.
- 29:35They're VOCs too.
- 29:36Right?
- 29:37They are.
- 29:38That's right.
- 29:39Yeah.
- 29:40So.
- 29:41Um.
- 29:42And then I would say, like all those household cleaning products, you know, like dish washing,
- 29:43detergent, gross.
- 29:44Because you're doing it every day.
- 29:46Gross.
- 29:47Like, my roommate buys cascades.
- 29:49Oh no.
- 29:50And then he washes, tries to wash my dishes with it.
- 29:53Look at me.
- 29:54I can't even deal with it.
- 29:55And I have to put gloves on.
- 29:56And I'm like, try to.
- 29:57I don't want to touch it.
- 29:58Because it gets all of them off on your hands.
- 30:00It's gross.
- 30:01So yeah, everyone just knows that my roommate buys cascades.
- 30:04But he'll count me, but it's true.
- 30:06So that's gross.
- 30:07It makes it the cascades have a good job putting a type of forever chemical likely that keeps
- 30:12the glass nice and shiny and.
- 30:14Bling, bling.
- 30:15It's so worth it.
- 30:16Right.
- 30:17I know.
- 30:18I'm going to make him listen to this.
- 30:19Okay.
- 30:20And then candles.
- 30:21Um.
- 30:22Candles are another one that are committed.
- 30:23They're probably not as bad as some of the other things in the house, but they're still
- 30:26on my list.
- 30:27Glade plugins.
- 30:28All that kind of stuff.
- 30:29Wolf.
- 30:30It's so gross.
- 30:31I just.
- 30:32And I had trauma.
- 30:33Glade plugins.
- 30:34Did.
- 30:35Yeah.
- 30:36I tell you some stories on that.
- 30:37Like I used to.
- 30:38Well, that was chemically sensitive.
- 30:39Um.
- 30:40They're liver.
- 30:41It's your liver.
- 30:42Why don't you not anymore?
- 30:43I do fix your liver.
- 30:44I must have.
- 30:45Yeah.
- 30:46You did.
- 30:47Yeah.
- 30:48So if you have chemical sensitivity, it could be in your liver.
- 30:50Um.
- 30:51So anyway, I would go into an uber or, and I would literally, because I was so frustrated
- 30:58then, I would literally snap it off and throw it out.
- 31:02They would get in the car and reach out there and do that.
- 31:04Yeah.
- 31:05If they wouldn't take it down.
- 31:06That's awesome.
- 31:07And I've been in.
- 31:08You should really do a video.
- 31:09I've been.
- 31:10I would go viral.
- 31:11I did it already.
- 31:12Okay.
- 31:13I.
- 31:14So it's one of my most viral videos.
- 31:15And the reason it went viral is because it's exactly a real story, and I just afted out.
- 31:19Yeah.
- 31:20Something that happened.
- 31:21It's what all of us wanted to do that.
- 31:22That's really what went viral.
- 31:23He didn't see me.
- 31:24Oh.
- 31:25I did it really fast.
- 31:26Oh, wow.
- 31:27That's so like matrix life.
- 31:28Yeah.
- 31:29Okay.
- 31:30I got fast muscle twitch.
- 31:31You know.
- 31:32That's an all-American javelin thrower.
- 31:33He went sick but bug.
- 31:35Okay.
- 31:36So.
- 31:37Yeah.
- 31:38He was an athlete.
- 31:39So another story.
- 31:40I went.
- 31:41I'm like going to a car.
- 31:43No Christmas trees anywhere.
- 31:45But it smelled like Christmas trees.
- 31:46I couldn't find the Christmas trees.
- 31:49And I'm.
- 31:51You know, he put the luggage in for me.
- 31:53And I'm like, where's the Christmas trees?
- 31:55I smell it.
- 31:56Yeah.
- 31:57I smell it.
- 31:58Go take my luggage out.
- 32:00Staff of 10, stack of 10.
- 32:02Where the luggage is at.
- 32:04We should tell everyone why these are so bad.
- 32:06Let's talk about why.
- 32:07Why are air fresheners?
- 32:08The most toxic thing you put in.
- 32:09They're so bad.
- 32:10Everything.
- 32:11All the air fresheners are housed too.
- 32:12Because they're fake smells.
- 32:14Like let's take for breeze, for example.
- 32:16It literally encases smells in a toxic chemical bubble.
- 32:19That's how it fixes your smells.
- 32:21Like it's nothing.
- 32:22It's not eradicating smells whatsoever.
- 32:24And so are these.
- 32:25These.
- 32:26They're just pumping out chemicals in your air.
- 32:28That you're breathing in.
- 32:29They're not anything close to lemon flavor or lavender flavor.
- 32:34They're literally a batch of chemicals.
- 32:36Nero and flammatory, carcinogenic, hormone disrupting.
- 32:41We're triple threat already.
- 32:43Candles too.
- 32:44Candles as well.
- 32:45Yeah.
- 32:46It's disgusting.
- 32:47And people just burn them like it's normal.
- 32:49Well, I think just like.
- 32:51So small rabbit trail.
- 32:53And then I have some other cool questions.
- 32:55I finish off this beautiful opportunity we have to talk today.
- 32:59Is you can't just eat one pringle, right?
- 33:02No.
- 33:03Because of artificial flavors, which is manufactured by these chemical manufacturers.
- 33:08Where they're multi-billion dollar companies.
- 33:10So the smells as well are manufactured that you become addictive to.
- 33:16And.
- 33:17And these patents, these.
- 33:20You know, secret recipes are worth millions and millions of dollars.
- 33:24And people will pay a lot of money.
- 33:26They'll negotiate the deal.
- 33:28It's like, okay, this one is highly addictive.
- 33:31And people get addicted to this because it triggers your brain.
- 33:36Like it's almost like sniffing glue, right?
- 33:38It gives you that, you know, high.
- 33:40I'm sorry.
- 33:41I just thought of happy Gilmore.
- 33:42Go ahead.
- 33:43Yeah.
- 33:44Happy Gilmore is a funny movie.
- 33:45It was eating glue.
- 33:46Well, don't sniff glue because.
- 33:49Smelling these fragrances are like smelling glue as far as the toxicity side of it.
- 33:55But it's also their manufacturer to get you addicted to them.
- 33:59So the same chemicals for artificial flavors just taste.
- 34:03But smells the same thing.
- 34:04It's also it's also firing that neuropath way.
- 34:06They're excited to excited toxins.
- 34:08Yeah.
- 34:09Neuroinflammatory toxins.
- 34:10But they're they cause addiction.
- 34:12And so, you know, the old lady who wears the perfume.
- 34:15Like she loves that perfume.
- 34:16You're not.
- 34:17But you take the perfume away.
- 34:19And her headaches go away.
- 34:20You take because they cause headaches.
- 34:22This is in the literature that comes.
- 34:23Yes, they did.
- 34:24They cause allergies.
- 34:25They cause asthma.
- 34:26A story after story of people taking fragrances out and their asthma goes away.
- 34:29Yeah.
- 34:30I'm sure you've had it.
- 34:31Yeah.
- 34:32I mean, well, I've never been chemically sensitive.
- 34:33But you know what I mean?
- 34:34People have seen that his have been kid.
- 34:36They literally can smell anything.
- 34:38In the minute they smell.
- 34:39They go in the histamine reaction.
- 34:40Yeah.
- 34:41It's bad.
- 34:42It's bad.
- 34:43They pass out, can't walk.
- 34:44Yeah.
- 34:45And then all like that.
- 34:46I would also include plastic clothes.
- 34:47All the different clothes they're making with flame retardants on them now.
- 34:51Leggings, lululemon leggings, the pfa's and the crotch.
- 34:54It's great.
- 34:55Yeah.
- 34:56It's really good for you.
- 34:57Yeah.
- 34:58People will be like, well, those are like no like 0.01 parts per million.
- 35:01And I'm like, yeah, but they are forever chemicals.
- 35:04So when is it, when is it okay to give you a little bit of toxins and every single thing
- 35:10that you have?
- 35:11A little bit of toxins in your water.
- 35:12There's some little bit of pharmaceuticals.
- 35:14You're a Warren.
- 35:15It's generally recognized as safe.
- 35:16Yeah.
- 35:17It's grass status, baby.
- 35:18Grass status.
- 35:19I don't want, you know, grass status.
- 35:21Me neither.
- 35:22So, okay.
- 35:23Plastic clothes.
- 35:25That's something that people everyone should move towards.
- 35:28That's one of my, it's one of the hardest things is nontoxic dad.
- 35:30Because I'm trying to, I don't want to shame anyone.
- 35:34Exactly.
- 35:35Because they're wearing their wonderful lululemons that they love and they wear them everywhere.
- 35:38They're like $100.
- 35:39Yeah.
- 35:40And they're made of spun chemicals and they're very inexpensive to make.
- 35:44It's not healthy for the environment.
- 35:46It's not healthy for the workers.
- 35:48They're known to have BPA from out of, endocrine disruptors, they're known.
- 35:53There's no, some of these things are going to have to have propped 65 warning labels on
- 35:57them very, very soon.
- 35:59Really?
- 36:00Because there's that level of chemicals that's unsafe, unfair and we're not, here's one
- 36:08that's new.
- 36:09Digital devices.
- 36:10The screens.
- 36:11They have a PFAS coating on them.
- 36:13Think about it.
- 36:14Why wouldn't they?
- 36:15It helps it be smudge free.
- 36:16It helps it not get dirt and dust on it.
- 36:18So, did you know that there is a, on most digital devices, your iPhones, your digital iPads,
- 36:25your Samsung, not that.
- 36:27Your Android.
- 36:28PFAS chemicals, just like rain eggs, right?
- 36:31For on your window, it keeps it.
- 36:33That's what's on your phone.
- 36:35And you're touching it.
- 36:36And they're like, oh, it's a little bit.
- 36:37Yeah, it's a little bit.
- 36:38And it does absorb through the skin because I've done a recent study that touching the
- 36:43screens does absorb, I don't know if it was on that, but it is that PFAS does absorb through
- 36:49your skin.
- 36:50Yeah, it totally does.
- 36:51Easily.
- 36:52Yeah.
- 36:53So.
- 36:54That's so gross.
- 36:55I just dropped a video on that.
- 36:56I don't think I got like 100,000 views.
- 36:57I thought that people being more mad about that one because I didn't know about that one.
- 37:00I didn't know about that one.
- 37:01But what you do is you can buy a tempered glass cover that doesn't have PFAS components.
- 37:06Oh, okay.
- 37:07So you're going to start seeing this, right?
- 37:08You're going to be like, PFA, if this gets in, if another influencer doesn't, it goes viral
- 37:13and another one doesn't, it goes viral.
- 37:14So if you're out there watching this, let's do that video.
- 37:17Yeah.
- 37:18And let's double up on this one.
- 37:19Yeah.
- 37:20Like, usually I like to be first to the rodeo.
- 37:21No, I'll do a video on that.
- 37:22Yeah, do a video on that.
- 37:23That's good.
- 37:24Get it out there to the people and then you get a tempered glass and just make sure it's
- 37:29free.
- 37:30So gel nails, right, what people don't realize is TPO, which is the Hardener agent.
- 37:37That's why they banned it in Europe and we still have it here, but it is going to shift
- 37:41companies are going to try to make money off of you by saying, we have TPO free gel nails
- 37:47like come to us, you know, but there's this bioclean organic algae.
- 37:52What is that?
- 37:53Bioclean organic algae gel.
- 37:55Gel Nails.
- 37:56It's made of gel with algae bioclean organic algae.
- 38:00Where do you get this?
- 38:01It's in Tampa, our Saint Pete.
- 38:02Everyone's got to fly the Saint Pete to get gel nails.
- 38:05It's an organic nail salon there.
- 38:07Go on, bussen.
- 38:08You know, right?
- 38:09So there's options, but you have to search, you know, but yeah, the gel nails too.
- 38:14They have TPO.
- 38:15So TPO free you were saying is not, it's not going to, I mean, it says TPO free, it's just
- 38:19like a BPA free plastic plastic, like BPS, BPA, whatever, okay, all the between us.
- 38:24You even know all that stuff.
- 38:25Yeah.
- 38:26That's not usually BPAs, not usually what's on receipts is BPS and BPAs actually on receipts
- 38:30as well.
- 38:31And it's more of them disrupting and it's way worse than receipts or way worse than
- 38:34drinking out of plastic water bottle, like a thousand times.
- 38:37I mean, I see on the show that Hawks people will be like, where did this come from?
- 38:39I don't eat or drink out of plastic.
- 38:41I'm like, you grab sales receipts every time in your pocket, play with them, give them
- 38:45to your kid.
- 38:46I get yelled at about that.
- 38:47Who gives their kids receipts?
- 38:48If you're a busy mom, you're giving your kid whatever they want to stay quiet in the
- 38:53room.
- 38:54I've never done it, but I know people have.
- 38:56That's not good.
- 38:57Yeah.
- 38:58You want them?
- 38:59Oh my gosh.
- 39:00No.
- 39:01Babies eat everything.
- 39:02Yeah, it's true.
- 39:03So don't give your kids receipts.
- 39:04Do that.
- 39:05Yeah.
- 39:06People shouldn't know that.
- 39:07Yeah.
- 39:08They shouldn't know that.
- 39:09But you don't know.
- 39:10They're not telling you that this is a highly toxic hormone disrupting compound that you're
- 39:13handing to your child.
- 39:14No one's saying that.
- 39:16Just who would ever think that?
- 39:18Nobody.
- 39:19Who would have thought there was forever chemicals on your iPhone screen?
- 39:22Yeah.
- 39:23So cut by a thousand razor blades.
- 39:25We're bleeding.
- 39:26We're bleeding.
- 39:27We need help.
- 39:28I've heard you say that histamine could be the reason you have anxiety.
- 39:32Mm-hmm.
- 39:33Yes.
- 39:34Histamine is this weird little noxious chemical that's released from these cells called mast cells
- 39:39that are one of the first offenders when we see a foreign intruder in the body.
- 39:45And I will say that they don't have to always see a foreign intruder.
- 39:48They can be released from mast cells by your thoughts as well.
- 39:53So nervous system dysregulation, chemical exposures, pathogens, heavy metals, all can
- 39:58set this off and sensitive folks.
- 40:00So histamine in the brain, because it can be released anywhere in the body.
- 40:03Histamine in the brain is anxiety, brain fog, histamine in the heart, vagus nerve palpitations.
- 40:10Histamine in the gut is bloating loose stools, histamine in the bladder is interstitial
- 40:13cystitis, histamine on the skin as X-Men hives.
- 40:17So whoever it's released, it can have a different kind of presentation.
- 40:22And this is all signs.
- 40:24Yes.
- 40:25Yes.
- 40:26Of course it is.
- 40:27I could just break it down.
- 40:28Yeah.
- 40:29So histamine mast cell activation syndrome, which is histamine overload.
- 40:32The two main causes for that are nervous system dysregulation being in flight or fight
- 40:36and not feeling safe in the body or mind, water damage buildings, followed closely about
- 40:41parasites.
- 40:42Yeah.
- 40:43So I was, I've been thinking about mast cell activation because I get chronic headaches
- 40:49sometimes.
- 40:50Yeah.
- 40:51That can be it too.
- 40:52Yeah.
- 40:53So I was, I'm wondering, you know, and I've had my health double check for my dude find
- 40:54another six foot by three foot section of mold recently because that would make sense.
- 40:59Yeah.
- 41:00That was, that was fixed.
- 41:01I noticed and maybe this will help people.
- 41:03I get nervous when I get into big groups and I get brain fog and I used to think and
- 41:09I figured it out.
- 41:10It wasn't that.
- 41:11It was perfumes in the chemicals.
- 41:12Oh.
- 41:13I was blaming it on that but it was actually, I, I didn't like being in crowds.
- 41:17You know, histamine due to nervous.
- 41:18Yeah.
- 41:19And I, I would lose my words like you, it's your, if you're in the room, your big personality,
- 41:25I could, I wouldn't, I would allow you to, but I walk in if there's not a big personality
- 41:29and everyone, someone's a talk to you, I'm just like a massive brain fog.
- 41:33Really?
- 41:34It was from anxiety.
- 41:35Oh.
- 41:36histamine.
- 41:37So this will be one of our last questions.
- 41:38Yes.
- 41:39Three biggest signs that you're deficient in magnesium and zinc and these other essential
- 41:44minerals.
- 41:45Yeah.
- 41:46You know, there's lots of different deficiencies that people can have nowadays because their
- 41:48soil is so stripped.
- 41:50We have like eight times less vitamin C than our grandparents used to in an orange.
- 41:54So with that being said, if people are bloated half the day or stressed out, they are not
- 41:59absorbing and assimilating things.
- 42:01I myself am an example of that in the past, right?
- 42:04So if you are alone magnesium, magnesium runs over 300 enzymatic reactions in the body.
- 42:08So you'll be constipated.
- 42:09You might have headaches.
- 42:11You might have a lot of anxiety or nervous jitteriness because magnesium helps our muscles
- 42:16move properly.
- 42:17It helps our brain function properly.
- 42:19It's a co-factor in so many different reactions throughout the body.
- 42:23So that's really important.
- 42:24Zinc, you might have gastrointestinal issues, you might have acne, right?
- 42:27I see this a lot.
- 42:29You might have immune problems.
- 42:30So not be able to fight off infections.
- 42:32Which I think is really important of fighting off infections as we saw during COVID.
- 42:36It's part of the COVID protocol that so many people gave.
- 42:39Because Zinc is really important for white blood, blood cells to function properly in the
- 42:42body.
- 42:43So there are lots of different symptoms you can have from B-bite of indeficiency, vitamin
- 42:48C-deficiency, magnesium, all these different micro-micro-minerals do important things in
- 42:54our body.
- 42:55And they also provide a potential or charge for the nerves to fire properly in the nervous
- 42:59system.
- 43:00So if you don't have these minerals, your nervous system is going to be faltering.
- 43:03You're not going to feel like a shell of yourself.
- 43:05Anxiety, depression, you might not sleep properly.
- 43:08All these things are important and your mental health will suffer because you need these
- 43:13to make neurotransmitters and hormones, which are the scaffolding of your personality.
- 43:17And so without minerals, you're going to really feel not like yourself.
- 43:22And so if you can get those minerals, your nerves will fire properly.
- 43:25They have a potential which comes from charges from minerals.
- 43:28And so when your nerves are properly, your nervous system starts to become more balanced.
- 43:32So minerals around the nervous system are one of the first steps to healing people.
- 43:36So if you have mineral deficiencies, start there.
- 43:39Yeah.
- 43:40I haven't had anyone put it together like that.
- 43:42I could follow you and it was really, really good.
- 43:45So I hope everyone paid attention to that.
- 43:47Deficiencies are, I've seen it time and time again, just fixing, testing for it and fixing
- 43:52those deficiencies and seeing people's hormones come back online, yeah.
- 43:55Like a new person.
- 43:56Yeah.
- 43:57It's crazy.
- 43:58And if they're gut's bad, you can do IV.
- 44:00Yeah.
- 44:01If needed.
- 44:02Yeah.
- 44:03Do you do any IV work in your clinic?
- 44:04I don't, but I used to, I got, myself got IVs when I saw my IV, but I'm deficiency.
- 44:07I was like, I'm so low, I could have person-prinishes anemia or something.
- 44:10Like I need to go get IVs of B complexes.
- 44:14And that's what I did.
- 44:15Kind of a loading dose.
- 44:16And that was the reason the genesis for the creation of nanoglubia or ejus.
- 44:20And my minerals, elemental edge, that's the reason I put like 1,000% the RDA minerals
- 44:25in supplement.
- 44:26I love that.
- 44:28That's the RDA's bulk.
- 44:29So what are three behaviors that indicate that you're a people pleaser?
- 44:34So I used to do some of this so I can speak personally.
- 44:37I'm naturally a people pleaser.
- 44:39I had to kind of work and do some solid shadow work to get over that, but I used to always
- 44:44apologize.
- 44:45I'm sorry.
- 44:46I'm sorry.
- 44:47I'm sorry about everything.
- 44:48Are you Canadian?
- 44:49No.
- 44:50No.
- 44:51No.
- 44:52I'm West Virginian.
- 44:53It's the same difference probably.
- 44:54And the really nice people, but my mom was kind of a fawner growing up, so I learned
- 44:58from her.
- 45:00So I think over explaining is another one.
- 45:03Over explaining is another one.
- 45:04You don't need to explain everything to everyone, not everyone deserves an answer, right?
- 45:09And then not being able to sing no.
- 45:12If people ask you to do something and you don't feel like it, but you're always a people
- 45:15pleaser, and you always say yes when you should say no, that's important too.
- 45:20Does it?
- 45:21I mean, that's a great way to end this show, because I want you to stay, but you're
- 45:27going to tell me no, because if it goes somewhere, if you're not a people pleaser anymore,
- 45:31so you've got to go to a meeting.
- 45:33But it has been an honor and privilege to have you on Dr. Jess.
- 45:37And I love just to wrap up that in a bow is that the emotional side of taking care of
- 45:44yourself, like saying no to bad relationships, you know, don't apologizing for what you
- 45:51believe in and know to be true in your heart.
- 45:53So you can live your authentic self, which is the highest vibration.
- 45:56That's right.
- 45:57It is not a hell yes, it's a hell no.
- 45:59That's how you should look at it.
- 46:00I mean, really, that's everything about life.
- 46:03And honestly, the sickest people I see are in toxic proficiency apps.
- 46:07So it's really important to get toxic people out of your life, toxic situations, and live
- 46:12for what makes you happy.
- 46:14So yeah, it's incredible.
- 46:15Well, you are living your truth.
- 46:17We've been through a lot and it's an honor to have that expressed in this podcast and
- 46:22help people live a non toxic life and live non toxic, not just from inside their bodies,
- 46:28but inside the relationships, in the relationship with the environment, that's what non toxic
- 46:34living is all about.
- 46:35And you are living it, Dr. Jess, thank you for being here.
- 46:38I'm here for it.
- 46:39Thanks for it.
