- 0:44taking a nice little dump, and Mr. Goodster, Mr. Goody, Woody
- 0:50himself, Nick Goody and Nathan in the back as we all know he
- 0:55is. A lot of hot ladies.
- 0:57The ladies man as. He they call me the ladies man
- 0:59and Mr. Still your girl. Well, I don't know about
- 1:01stealing girls, but he's definitely stealing guys and
- 1:04smiles, if you know what I mean. Anyways, thank you to Mackenzie
- 1:10for joining us. She was fantastic.
- 1:14And I know everybody's been waiting for this segment as we
- 1:17call this goodies bag of balls. My mom was going to.
- 1:22Wire a car battery. On my testicles trying to put
- 1:24tiger bomb. On this jungle's nuts.
- 1:27Goodies Bag of balls. That's how you become great man.
- 1:30Hang your. Balls out there.
- 1:31A lot of hot ladies. There it is, the old goodster
- 1:39and all of you. Guys, am I on?
- 1:40Yes, you're on now. I unmuted you.
- 1:42So I kind of like threw the curveball.
- 1:45I know you're you have this like what are you having allergy
- 1:48problems right now? Is there are you OK?
- 1:50Is everything good? I'm always good baby.
- 1:53Say my name. All right, say my name.
- 1:55Say my name. Speedy, you want to sing that
- 1:56song? All right, all right, here we
- 1:58go. Jack Pagley.
- 2:01Only we all know who he is the Kansas City Royals top prospect
- 2:05and that he was picked number 18th overall prospect in
- 2:08baseball. According to them, they'll be
- 2:10pipeline is making the compelling case for Major League
- 2:14call up this year. He's currently in AA.
- 2:17He's hitting 3/28 with no BP of four O 3 slugging, 6O59 home
- 2:22runs and then 35 RBIs leading the league.
- 2:26My question to you, and I told you this earlier today, I want
- 2:31to get a fan's perspective. Would you rather see guys go
- 2:34from college, spend maybe a month or two in the minor
- 2:38leagues and then get called up if they're warranted a call up
- 2:42such as Jack Hagley only, who's absolutely ripping the cover off
- 2:45the baseball If the team, the Major League team needs them in
- 2:50that. In that case, now the guy can
- 2:51play outfield, he can play first base and he hasn't pitched much
- 2:54in this, but he's one of them. Give me your thoughts on CAG
- 2:57Leone and I'll go down the list because there's some guys on
- 3:00this list here that I think do deserve a call up and for
- 3:04whatever reason the team with the Major League team is
- 3:07suppressing that. Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, CAG
- 3:10Leone. CAG Leone was a must hit when he
- 3:12was drafted. They're saying that this kid is
- 3:15a superstar. I don't know what he's going to
- 3:17be in the majors. What he's doing right now in the
- 3:20minors is incredible. We saw what he did in college
- 3:23ball. I mean, his numbers don't lie
- 3:25and numbers don't lie, but he's expected to be where he is.
- 3:28So yeah, I want to see these guys, if they could play in
- 3:31single A, AA and AAA as fast as Caglione is doing right now, why
- 3:35couldn't we see him in the major leagues quicker, more quicker
- 3:39than usual? So he's a superstar player.
- 3:42He's going to be the face of his organization.
- 3:45That's why he was drafted and that's what you expect from
- 3:47these guys. Mike Trout.
- 3:49Bobby Witts, let's not forget Bobby Witts there, all right?
- 3:52Bobby Witts with the Royals. But yes, he could.
- 3:54But that's my thing, my thought process.
- 3:57How do you know Caglione could be better?
- 4:01Bobby Witt's generational talent.
- 4:03But how do we know? Caglione isn't.
- 4:06How do we know that Caglione isn't?
- 4:08Hold on one second, the Nationals?
- 4:10The Nationals had Generation 2 generational places players when
- 4:14they brought him in. Bryce Harper And who's the
- 4:17pitcher? Strasburg.
- 4:18They were. They were the two generational
- 4:21players when they drafted them back-to-back years #1 picks.
- 4:25So why couldn't Caglione be a generational?
- 4:28Type player. I'm not saying he's not, but I
- 4:29don't. I'm not saying he's not.
- 4:31But right now, Bobby Witt is the face of that franchise, no?
- 4:35I'm not it'd. Be like, it'd be like saying
- 4:36that. It would be kind of like saying
- 4:38like, oh, George Lombard for the Yankees, you know, will take
- 4:43over. Be the face of the franchise for
- 4:45Aaron Judge. No, I, I got what you're saying.
- 4:48I'm just saying I you're not, I'm not going to pay take
- 4:51anybody over Bobby Witt. I had Bobby Witt as my MVP this
- 4:55year. So if Aaron Judge wasn't killing
- 4:57the ball right now, which I was very Bobby Witt would be the MVP
- 5:02right now, the lead, the league leader when it comes to winning
- 5:05that MVP. But Aaron Judge is doing
- 5:07something that we haven't seen a player do ever.
- 5:10I mean, this guy's on a tear right now that might go all the
- 5:15way into the All Star break. But I I agree with you.
- 5:18I want to see Caglione play in the majors.
- 5:21I don't want to wait if if it doesn't work, you sent him back
- 5:24down. I want to see what he's going to
- 5:25do when he gets into the majors. So, so fans just in general
- 5:30would rather like NFL would rather see guys go from high
- 5:34Division One or wherever they're at high levels to straight into
- 5:38the show. Of course, if he's that big of a
- 5:40star right now in the minors and he was a high draft pick like he
- 5:44is, yeah, that's what I want to see.
- 5:45I want to see this guy get called up and see what he can
- 5:48do. I know.
- 5:49At some point I feel like your name.
- 5:51How long was Jabba in the minor leagues before he got called up?
- 5:54Not long. I mean, baseball, if they think
- 5:57that your quality and, and obviously the farm system thinks
- 6:01that you're going to be a quality player up in the big
- 6:03leagues, you're going to be called up as quick as possible.
- 6:05So I would rather see Jabba when Jabba was getting called up.
- 6:09I'd rather see him play in the Show then wait 2-3 years until
- 6:13he's ready to pitch in the major leagues.
- 6:15So it, I, I think it's if he's, if he's a quality pitcher, he's
- 6:19a quality player. That's what I want to say.
- 6:21So that's my opinion. Well, yeah, the other ones are
- 6:25Roman Anthony and for the Red Sox, Marcella Mayer.
- 6:29Just porch stop for the Red Sox. Like I feel like the Red Sox
- 6:31could should call them up and they should stop playing games.
- 6:34But they never do that. They never do that.
- 6:36The, the Red Sox never do that. The organization's been in the
- 6:40let go. Look at the GMs that have taken
- 6:41over for the Red Sox. Even who's that fool from the
- 6:44Detroit? Yeah, Dubrowski, who took off
- 6:49Dembrowski, who took over for the Red Sox.
- 6:51Even that idiot wouldn't call up any of the youngsters.
- 6:54So I, I, I can't see any of their, their, their GMs that
- 6:58they brought up or even the kid that they brought up this this
- 7:00past year is going to call up the youngsters until they know
- 7:04for sure that they have their time in the minor league.
- 7:06So they have control of them. And when it comes to their, what
- 7:09do they call that their arbitration?
- 7:11So they. Only have a certain amount of
- 7:13minor league options as well. So you have to be more strategic
- 7:16with them. If you think, OK, there's a
- 7:17chance he could go back down. And that that I think is the
- 7:20dilemma that you look at with something like this.
- 7:22Like if you if he has a Jackson holiday type downstart to like
- 7:26last year, then he comes back up the second time and he's hitting
- 7:30very well like he did in the last two months of the season,
- 7:32then you lose a minor. He's been a bust this year and.
- 7:35Jack Haglione probably has similar if not higher level of
- 7:39potential upside in comparison we were looking at with Holiday
- 7:41last year. Now it's interesting because the
- 7:43Royals are a hot team right now, but their offense isn't overly
- 7:47deep. So that's what makes it
- 7:49compelling to maybe think about it right now.
- 7:51But I guess you. Do Askatino is not having the
- 7:53best year as well? So that that's what makes it
- 7:57enticing. And again, their outfield
- 7:58production overall is not the greatest either.
- 8:01It wasn't the greatest last year.
- 8:02So that's that's the one reason you might consider doing it with
- 8:04something like Caglione. But they are hot right now.
- 8:06So maybe you would maybe wait, wait till they cool off and then
- 8:09maybe June. I get a question for both of you
- 8:11guys and I'm sorry to cut. If if you had a son now you both
- 8:15have sons and Jackson Holiday obviously comes from a Hall of
- 8:19Famer and Matt Holiday, he is a Hall of Famer, one of the
- 8:21greatest hitters of that of of that 10 year span we've seen in
- 8:25a very long time. Power hitter Jackson Holiday is
- 8:27expected to be a higher draft stock player than his own
- 8:30father. When you look at what his son's
- 8:33doing right now in the league and is compared to the next big
- 8:37thing, if it was your son, would you tell your son to go back to
- 8:41the minor leagues and figure it out or do you tell your son, you
- 8:44know, work it out in the major leagues?
- 8:46That's my question for both of you.
- 8:48If if you were the father of Jackson Holiday.
- 8:52Yeah, I mean, the best place to figure it out is the big
- 8:54leagues. It's the worst place and the
- 8:55best place because you're not going to get any better speedy.
- 8:58But to your point, like it doesn't matter how many times
- 9:00you go up and down in a year, it's still just counts as your
- 9:03one minor league option and you get 3 so.
- 9:07You get you can get options. There's.
- 9:10A cap on it now but before it was Wild West.
- 9:13But yes, for one account I believe it does count as just
- 9:17one. Year.
- 9:17It's just one year, yeah, but no, I would.
- 9:20You got to figure it out the highest level.
- 9:21And if it if it gets that bad where you can't figure it out,
- 9:24then yeah, you go back down and shit.
- 9:26They've sent Roy Holiday went back to extended spring training
- 9:29to figure out how to pitch. Like it?
- 9:32Happened. If he's my son exactly, I'm
- 9:38going to say, listen, you're going to figure it out in the
- 9:40show. You, you're either going to sink
- 9:42or you're going to swim, all right?
- 9:44And it's going to be brutal. You're it's going to take a toll
- 9:47on you mentally. But I promise you, when you do
- 9:49figure it out, you will remember what this felt like.
- 9:52And you will not want this feeling anymore.
- 9:54And you will be, you will be swimming for the rest of your
- 9:56career. So people with baseball, so we,
- 10:01we, we ran around, we all made our predictions before the
- 10:04season started. We all, we all would agree that
- 10:08we had the Yankees leading the AL East right there two games up
- 10:13above everybody else. Next I think Jabo and I both had
- 10:19the Orioles, which they become a complete bust this year.
- 10:22Next on the open told you next Red Sox, followed by the Blue
- 10:25Jays, Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles.
- 10:28Anybody in the ALE surprise you or jump off the jump off the
- 10:32charts this year? I'll tell you this.
- 10:34For me, for me, it's the Orioles being a bust.
- 10:37I'll tell you this. What did I say?
- 10:39Exactly the same way I had it put and I said the OR.
- 10:42I wouldn't be surprised if the Orioles would be in last place
- 10:45by the end of the season. I had the two guys, the two
- 10:48teams, the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox.
- 10:50I think it's going to sit pretty like that all season long.
- 10:53I don't know if Boston's ready for the playoffs.
- 10:55They might sneak into the playoffs.
- 10:57I wouldn't be surprised. I think with with right now in
- 11:00in the division that we were talking about, Kansas City, the
- 11:03Guardians and that divisions going to have three teams coming
- 11:07out of that division going to the playoffs.
- 11:09I just think that right now has the most talent out of all the
- 11:15the divisions in the east, in the east, I'm I'm.
- 11:17Sorry, in the American League. In the American League, I'm
- 11:19sorry. In the Central.
- 11:20Yes, in the Central, yes, I think there are three teams
- 11:23coming out of the Central that are going to make the playoffs
- 11:25like I predicted before the season started.
- 11:27I think it's going to happen. Jabba, I think you had Kansas
- 11:30was you was it? You had Kansas City winning the
- 11:33division. I, I, I know Goody had the
- 11:35Guardians winning the division if I'm not mistaken, and I had
- 11:38Detroit winning the division. Yeah, we had we had Cleveland
- 11:42and Detroit at the top 2 for for, right, you know, for for
- 11:47mine, followed by obviously the Royals and then the Twins and
- 11:50then the White Sox were at the bottom.
- 11:52But yeah, I mean, the Detroit Tigers are just firing on all
- 11:54cylinders right now. They have a 2 1/2 game lead.
- 11:57Terek Schoobles, Unbelievable. They're getting offensive
- 12:00production. They're bullpens.
- 12:02Been great. Tommy Kaley's been pitching.
- 12:03Well, like, I mean. Jack can't do anything.
- 12:07Jackson Jove is nice. Jackson jobs at 3 and O, as
- 12:14Speedy said earlier, 3 and O, So I mean, or Fish said earlier,
- 12:18one of those, one of those assholes.
- 12:19But anyways, anyways, the central, no, it wasn't Jack.
- 12:28Anyways, the central, the central to me is pretty much how
- 12:31we predicted it. There's nothing really jumping
- 12:34out, you know, just going back on the AL East, though, we're
- 12:38talking about the Red Sox maybe taking that that next leap to be
- 12:42a potential, you know, World Series candidate.
- 12:44They do have the two prospects that we talked about that are
- 12:47sitting in their AAA that might could provide an extra boost.
- 12:50Now come coming out of All Star break, guys are going to be
- 12:52tired towards the end of the season.
- 12:53Guys will be tired. And then that's a good chance to
- 12:56see what you have once you've already clenched a spot in the
- 12:58playoffs. But Central, we pretty much got
- 13:01on lock. The AL West was a little bit of
- 13:03a shocker. I think Seattle, Mariners, I
- 13:06think we all had the Texas Rangers winning this one.
- 13:09Maybe the Mariners and the Astros were next and then the
- 13:12two bottom teams were going to be Athletics and and LA.
- 13:15But the Mariners have a two game lead up followed by Houston,
- 13:19then the Athletics, which we don't know where they're playing
- 13:21at the Texas Rangers and then LA is 6 games back.
- 13:25But Mariners do have a really solid pitching staff which has
- 13:29been carrying them I think. Was it Logan Gilbert on the DL?
- 13:35Yeah, he's on the DL. So, you know, this was that next
- 13:37man up mentality we talked about earlier in this or.
- 13:40Betty, you called Brian Woo, too.
- 13:41You called him one of your favorite youngsters.
- 13:43He's been right this year. Yeah, he's been.
- 13:45Yeah, he's really good. They have another guy there too,
- 13:48a righty starter. Miller, Bryce Miller you're
- 13:53talking about. Bryce Miller, yes, yes.
- 13:55The other guy who I think's going to be really good too.
- 13:57They had to just producing pitching right now and then, you
- 14:00know, their bullpen's been pretty good and so they're a
- 14:03tough team to beat. They are a tough team to beat.
- 14:05And as you, I think you said they're beating New York right
- 14:07now, so. Yeah, it's weird because the
- 14:09Mariners used to be that team that was like always
- 14:12consistently in the race and then just short because they
- 14:14would fall apart in the second-half.
- 14:15And then the last two years they've been, they had this
- 14:17super slow start. They're not sitting there, I'm
- 14:20telling. Hot second-half, so it'll be
- 14:21interesting to see which trend it goes for.
- 14:23That I think the Rangers will be a second-half team.
- 14:25I think they have a tremendous roster.
- 14:28Once this lineup figures things out, they're a lot better than
- 14:30they look. I'm very surprised that the
- 14:33Rangers are sitting second and last right now in a division and
- 14:36you nobody believes the athlete. There's there's three games
- 14:39back, which is not crazy, but they are second to last of the.
- 14:44No, I understand. I, I still think they're going
- 14:46to win the division and the Mariners are the Mariners choke
- 14:50at the end of, at the end of this season.
- 14:53They always do. They, they look like, they look
- 14:55like they're going to get hot in the second, early second-half
- 14:58and then all of a sudden they choke with the last month of
- 15:01baseball. And I believe that's going to
- 15:03happen. I trust Bruce Bochy than any
- 15:05manager in that division and Bruce will figure it out.
- 15:08He's got 2 solid pitchers that have been there before.
- 15:12Nathan Ivaldi is a great pitcher and so is Jacob degrom.
- 15:16They're going to figure it out. I I cannot not see the Rangers
- 15:19not making the playoffs in a weak division like that.
- 15:21That's a weak division. I'm surprised the Astros, as
- 15:25good as they've been over the years with their lineup, Boy, oh
- 15:29boy, Altuve looks like he's old. That lineup looks old.
- 15:33And, and who did they just lose? They lost another guy.
- 15:36They lost a big, big bat in their lineup recently.
- 15:39Yeah, they lost two in the offseason with Bregman and
- 15:41soccer so. No, there was another one that
- 15:43Who's the other guy? The big other?
- 15:44Big Alvarez is talking about. Alvarez, I think he got hurt,
- 15:46didn't he? Yeah, you're done.
- 15:48Yeah, he got, he got hurt, didn't he, His hand.
- 15:51Yeah. So he, he could be out a
- 15:53significant amount of time, too. I'm hearing he could be out a
- 15:56month, maybe two. Could you imagine losing him?
- 15:59So losing him for the season. So the girls are done.
- 16:03They're done this. Is why This is why it's so
- 16:05important to have a good minor league staff and a good AAA
- 16:08because that's your extension of the big leagues.
- 16:10We've talked about this and it's like if you don't build from the
- 16:12ground up, then when somebody gets hurt, you got nothing, you
- 16:16got nobody. Fill the void.
- 16:17Don't worry, they can start cheating again.
- 16:20Or they could just cheat. Yeah, well, I remember.
- 16:23I don't know what I can't say before I get cancelled, but
- 16:26yeah. Remember Reggie Jackson, he left
- 16:30the Yankees to go over there with the Astros to help their
- 16:32farm system and help develop kids.
- 16:35And ever since Reggie Jackson has been there, the developing
- 16:38has absolutely stopped. Just think about that.
- 16:41Just think about it ever since he left the Yankees and he went
- 16:44over there with the development of some of the young stars that
- 16:47they have in their minors, they have not produced anything since
- 16:50then. Just think he he left the
- 16:52Yankees about four years ago, and how bad is their farm system
- 16:55been since then? By the way, there's more to that
- 16:58story than. I'm sure I can say, I'm sure,
- 17:01I'm sure. I don't know the inside back end
- 17:05of it. But I mean, Reggie Jackson went
- 17:07to the Astros to help the farm system and hasn't been very
- 17:10good. I'm just saying, if you look at
- 17:12what's going on right now with the Astros.
- 17:14Yeah, if you look, yeah, if you look from a 45,000 foot view and
- 17:18that's what. It looks that's what I see.
- 17:20When you and the nitty gritty and you know what's actually
- 17:22going on here? I don't listen.
- 17:24I'm not sitting there saying that.
- 17:26I know what's going on. I'm just telling you what I
- 17:28Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's all.
- 17:30You just got the bird's eye view.
- 17:32All right, my last ball of the night here is more up your
- 17:36alley. OK, we got a little conspiracy
- 17:39theory going on here. Adam Silver made Nico Harrison
- 17:43trade Luca to LA to get the NBA ratings as they were tanking.
- 17:48In exchange for that they rigged the lottery so Dallas gets
- 17:51Cooper flag. Convince me otherwise.
- 17:54Right now the real question would Nico Harrison be dumb
- 17:57enough to not draw Cooper flag? That is the real test.
- 18:00No, I he's dumb enough to trade that that pick.
- 18:02That's what I mean. I could see Nico Harrison
- 18:05saying, you know what? I'm smarter than you.
- 18:07I want my I want my 5-6 or seven first round draft picks back.
- 18:12I'm going to I'm going to trade Cooper flag for the future.
- 18:15No, I think the NBA is rigged. It's the LJA, LeBron James
- 18:19Association and that was LeBron James's gift to Dallas for
- 18:24getting Luca over there to LA to help him win a championship in
- 18:27the next three years. Honestly, I think the NBA is
- 18:29rigged. And, and by the way, what makes
- 18:31the NHL so unique is they do the same lottery draft.
- 18:35So does the MLB, but the NHL, they do it in front of the
- 18:40cameras. The NBA, it's behind closed
- 18:43doors and they had these stupid cards that they raise up in the
- 18:46air during the show, during the draft show.
- 18:48It's pathetic, it's pathetic and it's absolutely planned.
- 18:53And and the Spurs, how do the Spurs have like a job is to like
- 18:57a 1.8 or 1.5 chance of getting in the top three.
- 19:01They're all the way in the top three.
- 19:02They get the number two pick. How is that possible?
- 19:05They lose Popovich, he retires and now they have they have
- 19:10arguably one of the best young big men in the league.
- 19:12They bring in Fox and now they're going to get the number
- 19:15two pick, arguably the second best player in this year's
- 19:17class. Ridiculous makes no.
- 19:19Sense Goody I've always said this about lotteries too.
- 19:22Like I I, I if I was running a sport, I would do it based on
- 19:25not a percentage system. Like they do it all right, The
- 19:27number one team gets this particular percentage because
- 19:30here's the thing that we look at like you, let's look at baseball
- 19:32this year. Like if you have a team as bad
- 19:33as the White Sox, they should have a much better, much better
- 19:36like gap difference in the second worst team in the league
- 19:39last year. But the percentages are so much
- 19:42closer than they can make that kind of thing.
- 19:43I've always said you just pick a number based on how many games
- 19:46or how many points in hockey and then do it.
- 19:48Didn't they do that in college football?
- 19:50Like if there were three teams that have the same record, they
- 19:52would flip a coin or something like that wherever it lands.
- 19:55Yeah, that might have been for bowl eligibility.
- 19:57I don't think it was for anything.
- 19:58Like that. But actually I'm saying, I mean,
- 20:00that's to me that makes more sense than this.
- 20:03The Islanders, I, I don't take shots at the Islanders of the
- 20:06NHL for the Islanders winning the draft, even though they had
- 20:09a 3.8 or 3.5 chance of winning that pick because they did it
- 20:13right in front of the cameras. You watch the.
- 20:15The balls come up. So it wasn't like they cheated.
- 20:19But in the NBA, they're shut doors.
- 20:21They got 7-8 machines. It's pathetic.
- 20:24And and by the way, Adam Silva, you're kind of ugly.
- 20:26He is an ugly son of a unawad. But that guy's ears, it looks
- 20:30like Dumbo. He really does.
- 20:32He's one ugly. That's ASOP.
- 20:34That's like recounting the votes, you know, in the middle
- 20:37of the night, you know? A lot of hot ladies.
- 20:39But good, you're going back to the conspiracy theory, end of
- 20:41it, of the NBA being rigged. If they were going to try to
- 20:44prove it or not, they didn't hide it very well this
- 20:45particular year. Besides, the Hornets, like the
- 20:48Hornets, don't get a lot of. I feel bad for the Hornets.
- 20:50How about the Wizards getting screwed?
- 20:52The Wizards they got. Right, the Wizards were
- 20:53definitely the one maybe and probably they punish him for
- 20:56their their number one pick being not great this year.
- 20:59Like is that is that something you're going to look at the
- 21:01Hornets, another team that's had that kind of luck.
- 21:03The Pistons have had it with bad luck outside of the one year
- 21:05they got Kate Cunningham where they were the worst team in the
- 21:08league. Like what like last year and
- 21:09they were picking 5th. They were 17 win team last year.
- 21:11They're picking 5th. I'm not saying it should never
- 21:13happen, but the patterns are definitely obvious in the NHLI
- 21:16would say it's the Coyotes that get screwed a lot and now Utah,
- 21:19but maybe. Now the like.
- 21:22I think there are some patterns to that in both directions which
- 21:25I think was why my system I think even though the randomness
- 21:28I think would still be better. Like it's a little more fair.
- 21:30Just do it based on points and games back.
- 21:31Just. Think about this.
- 21:32Me and Fish were talking about this.
- 21:34Fish had Philadelphia winning the draft and I had the Spurs
- 21:37winning the draft. The surprise and all three.
- 21:40Both teams are in the top three. What a quinky dink, right?
- 21:44That both teams that me and him were suggesting that we're going
- 21:47to fall in the top three are sitting there pretty right now,
- 21:50so. Yeah, not rigged at all.
- 21:52No, I'm not rigged 100%. Good.
- 21:53He had to throw that in there for a second.
- 21:55I'm just saying, you know, I you know, I can pick and drum up a
- 21:58good conspiracy theory, but what about the NBA that we all know
- 22:01is true at which for that most of them are all true.
- 22:04Just got to do a little research.
- 22:05All right. But pretty awkward, man.
- 22:09Pretty weird. Also, when I was digging through
- 22:11this one, I also saw that there was like, maybe possibly magnets
- 22:14in the basketball. Yeah, I don't know, but I don't
- 22:16know. Yeah.
- 22:17I could say. It pretty weird how pretty weird
- 22:20how some of the balls get stuck right against the glass.
- 22:23There's no magnets in the basketball, that is.
- 22:26No, in the Pagan ball I'm. Just he loves.
- 22:28Conspiracy theory. I'm just saying.
- 22:31There, No, he's saying no, Speedy.
- 22:32He's saying the basketball. That's what he's saying.
- 22:35There's magnets in the basketball.
- 22:36Listen to him Speedy. Not the balls you idiot.
- 22:40Seriously, is he listening? Shut the music.
- 22:43Are you out of your damn mind? He's talking about when the
- 22:46basketball. Frozen envelope story right with
- 22:49the Ewing draft. You could shut the music one
- 22:51envelope. Folder so that when he reached
- 22:54in there like the one that had the Knicks was like in the
- 22:58freezer, so it was like ice cold.
- 23:00So he knew which one he was supposed to grab.
- 23:02Like that was the theory in the in the 85 draft.
- 23:05You know, does it surprise you, though?
- 23:07No, it's probably true. I will say this the the.
- 23:12Ewing. The Ewing draft was absolutely
- 23:15rigged, 100%. There's no doubt about even
- 23:18David Stern after he was in, he didn't come out and say it, but
- 23:23he pretty much when they, when they did a documentary of David
- 23:26Stern and he changed basketball, he made, he was the best
- 23:30commissioner in NBA history. He really transitioned the CBA
- 23:34and all these TV deals. He came out and said after he
- 23:38retired from the game, he said that, you know, there is some
- 23:42kind of collusion on how the Knicks landed, you know, the
- 23:46whole Ewing draft and, and how it felt together the way it did
- 23:50for the New York, NY Knicks. And by the way, since then, the
- 23:53Knicks have never gotten the number one pick, never, never
- 23:57even come close, come close. Just think about it.
- 24:00They they had the worst record in basketball when Porzingis was
- 24:04drafted that year. They missed out, but on Karl
- 24:07Anthony Towns, who now is on the New York Knicks, and they got
- 24:11Porzingis at #4 Porzingis is playing for the Celtics right
- 24:14now and Karl Anthony Towns is on the Knicks.
- 24:16And by the way, Okafor, who was from the Duke Blue Devils, who
- 24:20was the number two pick who the Knicks also wanted, is no longer
- 24:24in the NBA. So figure that one out.
- 24:26He's one of those guys that I thought.
- 24:27Khalil. Alcor was going to be great.
- 24:29Yeah. Was going to be great when he
- 24:30came, when he was in college, except the game changed around
- 24:34that time. Couldn't dribble.
- 24:35He didn't have the ability to do anything more than like a 90s
- 24:39center would do, you know, like he didn't.
- 24:41He doesn't have that game that you need today.
- 24:44He him like Andre Drummond, it's kind of the guy they always
- 24:47point to that if this was the 90s, he'd be an All Star every
- 24:50year because he can get 20 and 10 like like clockwork, except
- 24:54he can't hit a single foul shot. And it's like the similar thing
- 24:57that the Knicks have with Mitch. But I did want to show you
- 25:00something. I I found some archival footage
- 25:03of the ladies man himself right here.
- 25:08How do you pronounce it? I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 25:10Now we're. Going to get we have to get this
- 25:12reaction. Let's get let's get them in
- 25:15here. They call me the ladies.
- 25:18Man, and Mr. Stewie Group. That's awesome.
- 25:20Yeah, that's a classic right there.
- 25:21Let's go, Go. I look like, you know what look
- 25:27like. You know who I look like in this
- 25:29warfly? Frasier Warfly.
- 25:32Frasier. That's good.
- 25:35Just Wheeling and dealing in the hole.
- 25:38Speedy's mom, the. Lady.
- 25:40It fits pretty good, I'm not going to lie.
- 25:42I gotta. Take a picture of this one.
- 25:47You know, of all the edits you've done, this one actually
- 25:50looks probably the best this. Is on point.
- 25:52This is on point. I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 25:55Goody. This is a goody.
- 25:57This is a classic right here. Yeah, it actually looks like you
- 26:01have a decent little beard and not, you know, dirt A.
- 26:03Lot of hot ladies. This is legit.
- 26:09I like ladies. How do you how do you say your
- 26:17last name? Ramachandra.
- 26:21My name is Nitin Ramachandra and I'm just sitting here my
- 26:24cavatier. Speedy's mom.
- 26:29I'm putting you on a leash now. And you also come next time you
- 26:35if you ever come here, you'll put the soundboard on a leash.
- 26:40Pulled it out of my ass. You just made my nipples.
- 26:45Hard. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 26:47we call this Dial it Up. We interrupt this regularly
- 26:51scheduled hot mix to bring you important news.
- 26:53We got a. Big broadcast to do here.
- 26:55We're about to dial it up a. Lot of hot ladies.
- 27:03That's the new great drop that we have guys.
- 27:05Welcome to dial it up. This is kind of a lightning
- 27:07round sports story. Errol has not seen any of these
- 27:10stories before starting first story of the night in Dial it
- 27:14up. Giannis Antenna Kupo open to
- 27:17opportunities outside of the Bucks.
- 27:19We've been talking about it on this show for weeks that it's
- 27:22logical that he may be moving into his Shamsharania today with
- 27:26the report on ESPN going on get up saying that he's open minded
- 27:30on exploring a trade for the first time in his career.
- 27:34Giannis is 30 years old, the average 30.4 points per game,
- 27:3711.9 rebounds, 6 1/2 assists on 60% shooting and he's an MVP
- 27:44finalist along with Jokic and shy this year.
- 27:47Here's his quote that he said while he's on his podcast with
- 27:49his brother because of course his brother has a podcast.
- 27:52Me not having a second championship, I look back at my
- 27:55career and everybody can say, oh, incredible career, active
- 27:59Hall of Famer, first ballot, whatever.
- 28:01But me, my personal goal, if I'm not able to help my team win a
- 28:05second ring, I'm letting it down myself.
- 28:09Errol. Dial it up.
- 28:11I've been saying this for a long, long time.
- 28:13This is one of the best players we've seen in the last 40 years.
- 28:17This is one of the more underrated people we're going to
- 28:20remember. If he doesn't win a second
- 28:21championship, he's going to be compared to Yokage.
- 28:25He's not going to be compared to Joel Embiid because he's never
- 28:27going to win. But this is a guy that deserves
- 28:30an opportunity to win a second title.
- 28:33OK C If they fall short again, I could see OK C They have a
- 28:36tremendous amount of draft stock.
- 28:37They have a lot of players that they can move where they can add
- 28:41a Giannis and really give themselves that next piece to
- 28:44get them to the next level. They're quite a few other teams,
- 28:47even Toronto, they got a bunch of young stars and a young stud.
- 28:50They could put them over there. And maybe the New York Knicks,
- 28:52if they fall short this year after watching Tatum go down,
- 28:57there could be an opportunity if the Knicks fall short again
- 29:00where they could land somebody like a young honest and maybe
- 29:03trade a lawyer pieces. He's a great players.
- 29:05He's superstar in this league. He deserves his second title.
- 29:08Nobody can argue that he's falling short over the last
- 29:11couple years. And one of the main reasons why
- 29:13coaching Doc Rivers horrible and they didn't put the right
- 29:16players around him. Chris Middleton is not the right
- 29:19player as they brought him back. It hasn't worked out over there.
- 29:22And then they bring in Dame Time who's now done with his career,
- 29:25tearing his Achilles. He's probably not going to be
- 29:28back at the top of his game if he ever does come back.
- 29:31So he knows his time is else where.
- 29:33He is going to be traded in the offseason, but he's going to go
- 29:36to only a contender. And he already came out and said
- 29:38this, he wants to go to a major city.
- 29:41So it ready narrows down to three the Celtics.
- 29:44I mean, the Celtics, Boston, NY is another one, Miami and LA,
- 29:50those are the four. So I I know OK, C is a big team
- 29:54and they got a lot of good players, but it's one of those
- 29:56four. He wants to go to big city,
- 29:57wants to sell his apparel. Yeah, I've always thought
- 30:00Giannis was just one of the most phenomenal and most magnificent
- 30:03players that the world's ever seen in the past couple of
- 30:04years, really the last decade like you mentioned.
- 30:06But the thing I want to mention is, of course, I heard a lot of
- 30:09Giannis slander, like amongst peers, amongst other sports
- 30:12heads, just of course highlighting the fact that
- 30:15Giannis hasn't won a playoff series or he's only won one
- 30:17playoff series since winning the Finals.
- 30:20However, I don't think it's I don't think it's under any sort
- 30:22of fraud of fluke or whatnot. Giannis, like you mentioned,
- 30:25Errol, he hasn't this team has really been broken down, hasn't
- 30:29had a lot of good pieces, horrible coaching overall.
- 30:32Dame hasn't a lot of the signings they have that have
- 30:35happened for this. The Bucks have not fruit like
- 30:37came to fruition the way that they wanted to.
- 30:39Dean has not been playing. Dame is a shell of himself.
- 30:41He's definitely going to continue to be a shell of
- 30:43himself and I could very much even see him coming to New York.
- 30:46I don't know what you would have to get for him off the top of
- 30:47your head, but hey, he could be could be suing up and saying go
- 30:51New York, go New York by next season.
- 30:53But anybody to pass up on Giannis is an absolute idiot.
- 30:56I mean, anybody that takes Giannis is going to be an
- 30:58absolute contender defensively. Wise no trade clause.
- 31:01Just remember that he has a no trade clause.
- 31:03That means he's got to choose where he wants to go.
- 31:07And that means that nobody, not the Milwaukee Bucks or anybody
- 31:12have control of where Giannis wants to go.
- 31:14If the Bucks want pieces, they're going to have to talk to
- 31:18talk to Giannis and actually agree to where he wants to go.
- 31:21It's a major, he's going to a major city.
- 31:23So I agree with you. Yeah.
- 31:26And that means that they don't have any leverage.
- 31:28No non 0. It's not exactly what you want
- 31:32to hear if you're a Bucks fan. I think it's something we'll be
- 31:34talking about probably all summer.
- 31:37Let's move on to the next story. Oh, you're going to love this
- 31:40one. Errol Brown's rookie quarterback
- 31:43Dylan Gabriel welcomes healthy competition with Chador Sanders.
- 31:48Brown's third round draft pick Elon Gabriel, who has taken all
- 31:51the first team Rep rookie camp, was asked about fifth round pick
- 31:55QB shooter Sanders and the QB room in Cleveland.
- 31:59The more questions I get asked like that, it just divides the
- 32:03team, said Gabriel. We're in a room with not just
- 32:06us, but Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Desean Watson.
- 32:12For us, we know how important a healthy QB room is, but also a
- 32:16team that everybody wants to be a part of.
- 32:19How do you create an environment every single day where everyone
- 32:21can be at their best? That's just pushing one another,
- 32:24which talent naturally does Naturally, it's healthy for us
- 32:28where everyone does their thing and everyone wins.
- 32:34Errol some chador back in the news in a different way right
- 32:38now. Dial it up.
- 32:40I love Dylan Gabriel. First of all, I met him at the
- 32:44Heisman Trophy dinner. He is such a nice kid.
- 32:47Straightforward. He was upset that Ashton Genti
- 32:49did not win the Heisman Trophy. He didn't think Hunter deserved
- 32:53it. So you you know that he's for
- 32:56talent and he's for team. He's all about team.
- 32:59He went obviously to two different colleges.
- 33:01When he went over there over there to Oregon, not only did he
- 33:04become a leader, he wanted to be something of a generational type
- 33:07of player. He went over there, had a chance
- 33:09to win a national championship and he was up for a Heisman for
- 33:12a guy that he looked up to that won a Heisman Trophy playing
- 33:15over there at Oregon. So I like that he came out and
- 33:18said that it's not about one player.
- 33:19I like the fact that he's he's not throwing Shador under the
- 33:22bus, but you know damn freaking well that he is saying it right
- 33:26under his lips. Screw you, Shador.
- 33:28You're never taking this job away from me.
- 33:30And as far as Kenny Pickett's concerned, I don't know why he's
- 33:33sitting there. He should be, you know, flipping
- 33:35burgers or something. The guy should not be on that
- 33:38team. He shouldn't be.
- 33:40He's so bad. He should be flipping burgers.
- 33:43So Kenny Pickett's not making a team.
- 33:45Shador Sanders will probably be a fifth, fifth guy on that, you
- 33:48know, on that roster in the long run.
- 33:50He'll he's never start in the NFL.
- 33:52The way he talks and the way he speaks and I, I think gay, you
- 33:55know, Dylan Gabriel is going to have the opportunity to win that
- 33:58job. Joe Flacco is going to help him
- 33:59develop. I think it's a slam dunk
- 34:01bringing in Dylan Gabriel in the third round, a guy that knows
- 34:05how to play the quarterback position and understands how to
- 34:08be a leader. Shidor doesn't even know who he
- 34:11is as a player, and he doesn't realize that it takes a team to
- 34:15win championships healthy competition.
- 34:17He's a rapper. Healthy competition.
- 34:19Forgot about that too. You're right.
- 34:21It's a good quote. Healthy competition.
- 34:23For shizzle my nizzle. Dylan Gabriel saying that the
- 34:26way he is now, I'm not the biggest fan of thing as a
- 34:27prospect. I didn't really like him up
- 34:28until this year. I even at Oklahoma or Oregon, I
- 34:31thought his mechanics are very wacky.
- 34:33He's on an undersized quarterback, but he has a smart
- 34:35guy. He's very calm and collected,
- 34:37which I think is something. He was Baker Mayfield.
- 34:38In that in that locker room and even if he doesn't have a big
- 34:42role when it comes to being a quarterback to help him win
- 34:45anything because their offense is going to probably be terrible
- 34:47this year, they still have a guy that is a leader that I think
- 34:51the whoever starts is going to at least abide by it.
- 34:55Now, Shador will see if this competition actually incites it.
- 34:57And he said he's going to focus on his interviews and then
- 34:59bombed all those. So it's it's any one of them
- 35:02could probably start. It's not going to really make a
- 35:04difference because the Browns aren't going to go anywhere or
- 35:05anywhere. You think the Browns will ever
- 35:07give Shador a chance this year to.
- 35:08Play. I think they will later.
- 35:10This season, they won't. They will not.
- 35:12I guarantee it. You want to put a bet on this?
- 35:14I'm not owing. I'll put a bet on.
- 35:16Let's make a bet. Who wants to bet me that Shador
- 35:18Sanders will not step on the football field this year?
- 35:22Who wants to bet? Anybody want to bet?
- 35:23Because I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 35:25For the Browns. I'm I'm talking regular season,
- 35:28regular preseasons. Any team or just for the Browns?
- 35:30For the Browns, how much you want to bet he's not?
- 35:33I'm telling you right now, the Browns are going to sit pretty
- 35:36Dylan Gabriel's going to get the chance to be that starting
- 35:39point. Dion's.
- 35:39Going to. Does Dion have a say in?
- 35:41It no, no, no you. Think Dion's going to sit back
- 35:45and just let him not. Take who cares?
- 35:48Dion had a big mouth. Look where his son is.
- 35:50His son should have been a top 20 pick and he fall to the fifth
- 35:53round because at Deion Sanders as But as as a matter of fact,
- 35:57didn't his sons fire him as their agent after the draft?
- 36:01I think so. Nobody cares what Deion Sanders
- 36:03thinks. Because if they did, I.
- 36:05Think around the the hype. No, but I think you kind of have
- 36:08to put them on the field. Do you want to bet?
- 36:10Let's make a bet. Let's make a bet.
- 36:12What do you want to bet because of hype?
- 36:14What? Do you want to bet?
- 36:16I don't know. You make a bet in proposition.
- 36:19Steak dinner. Steak dinner?
- 36:21I'll buy you steak dinner. Steak dinner Shador Sanders
- 36:24never steps on the regular season football field.
- 36:27And then for the for the Browns, okay, for the Browns.
- 36:31I could see him getting cut before preseason and being like
- 36:35buried somewhere and then when people get hurt he gets on the
- 36:37field later in the season OK but I don't see him like getting
- 36:41legitimate shot. He's not.
- 36:42I mean like. That would it would have to be
- 36:44something like that in my opinion.
- 36:45So if he but if he just plays, if he just plays 1 snap.
- 36:49One snap field, 1 snap on the football.
- 36:51In Cleveland. Yeah, folkly Fort not.
- 36:52In preseason, a regular season game.
- 36:55I think he has to. He won't.
- 36:56He won't. Let.
- 37:01Me ask you a question, when was the last besides besides Purdy,
- 37:06who by the way it took him almost a year to get on a
- 37:09football field, Who was the last player that was drafted after
- 37:12the fourth round that's gotten a chance in his first year to step
- 37:15on a football field? Minshew, yeah.
- 37:18Probably. Think of his Purdy.
- 37:19Yeah, Minshew, I guess. I don't, I don't think Gardner
- 37:22Minshew, I don't think, I don't think it was his rookie season
- 37:25that he stepped on a football. Field, I think it was he.
- 37:27Was he? Was that was the year with.
- 37:29Then it was Gardner Minshew who? Got hurt with minshew who got
- 37:33hurt that falls was. That it was falls that.
- 37:34Was who it was, yeah. So it was Gardner Minshew.
- 37:37So that was the last person to do that.
- 37:39And that was because of you have to there's like 4 quarterbacks
- 37:43there before him. You have Watson.
- 37:46You know the Kurt Warner story, right?
- 37:48Yeah. He was like third on the depth
- 37:49chart and like things just had two guys got hurt.
- 37:52Yeah, and by the way, Watson will be back in the second-half
- 37:55of the seasons. For everybody to say that
- 37:56Watson's not going to play this year, he ready.
- 37:58He's definitely coming back in the second-half of the season.
- 38:00You have Watson, you have Flacco, you have Kenny Pickett
- 38:04and you have Dylan Gabriel. Good luck.
- 38:07You're never going to see that guy step on the Browns football
- 38:10ever. He's not even going to make the
- 38:12team possibly. So I I think he's going to be a
- 38:15scrap. He's going to be on the scrap
- 38:16heap. So where's?
- 38:18The other day. Never can he pick it.
- 38:20What? I'm sorry.
- 38:21You're not keeping. Kenny Pick.
- 38:25It doesn't matter. Both those guys aren't you have
- 38:27to you can only hold 3 quarterbacks.
- 38:29Two of them are getting cut. Yeah.
- 38:30So Watson is definitely going to be on that roster.
- 38:34Flacco is definitely be on that roster.
- 38:36Flacco is going to start. Yes, and Dylan Gabriel is the
- 38:38other guy back up, Yeah. And Watson will be like on the
- 38:42IR all season. Shador is not even going to be
- 38:45on that roster. Shador will be on the practice.
- 38:47Yep. That's where he's going to be.
- 38:49You know someone can take a shot at him off the practice squad.
- 38:52He. Has to clear waivers.
- 38:55Tommy DeVito off. Dude, dude, he was drafted in
- 38:57the fifth round and all these teams passed up on him five
- 39:02times. Do you think anybody's going to
- 39:04pick him up off the scrap heat after his father did what he did
- 39:08before the draft and during the combine in his bro day?
- 39:11I don't want to touch this guy. This guy might never play in the
- 39:14NFL, ever. He might never step on an NFL
- 39:18regular season football field ever because of his father.
- 39:23That's all right, Homeboy can rap Doughboy.
- 39:28Let's move on to the next story and we get to go to some
- 39:31futility and the Rockies firing manager Bud Black after a 21,
- 39:38nothing beat down and the seven and 33, I'm assuming they lost
- 39:43tonight. Let's just you know.
- 39:45Wasn't it against the Mets? I can check where you.
- 39:48No, they played the pyromes. The Rockies did lose to the
- 39:50Rangers. All right, so the Rockies are
- 39:53now 7 and 34 and fired Bud Black after they actually won and then
- 39:59fired him after the win. They were, they're like the
- 40:04worst team in the league by like 4 games.
- 40:06And this is a league that has the White Sox in it.
- 40:08They also let go of bench coach Mike Redmond.
- 40:12Black actually was in his ninth year as manager, might not
- 40:15believe it, nine years in Colorado and was 544 and 690,
- 40:21which by the way, Erholm is the winningest manager in Rocky's
- 40:26history, a guy who is 146 games under 500.
- 40:33Our play so far this season, especially coming off the last
- 40:37two seasons, has been unacceptable.
- 40:40Our fans deserve better and we are capable of better.
- 40:44Rockies owner, chairman and CEO Dick Montford.
- 40:53Bud's last name is Black and they're in a black hole.
- 40:56Just look at it. 2025 seven and 34.
- 41:00Two thousand 2461 and one O 1-2 thousand 2359 and one O3 2021 or
- 41:072268942000 and 2174 and 87. The record speaks for itself.
- 41:16Black is as black as a ghost or white as a ghost.
- 41:20I'm sorry, just black in a hole. I, I, I Colorado Rockies are
- 41:24done. They're they're an organization
- 41:26that are trying to figure themselves out.
- 41:27They have no farm system for all these years of just terrible
- 41:31baseball play. And and they had that short that
- 41:33the shortstop kid that they have right now up.
- 41:35What's he doing this year? Absolutely nothing.
- 41:38They have nothing to look forward to.
- 41:40Oh, they got a third baseman that they overpaid who's now
- 41:44probably done with his career because he stinks.
- 41:46Who played for the Cubs and was at one point was a decent,
- 41:49decent player in the major leagues.
- 41:51I I mean, the, the Colorado Rockies are done.
- 41:53They're an organization that needs to figure it out.
- 41:56And by the way, the last great player they had over there was
- 42:00Todd freaking Hilton. I mean, serious or Nolan
- 42:04Arenado. I mean, there's nothing out
- 42:06there that says Troy to Lewinsky.
- 42:08I mean, those are the guys that really stick out to me.
- 42:11And don't tell me Trevor's story because he stinks.
- 42:14So it's an organization that doesn't know how to develop
- 42:16players and it's an organization that's going nowhere and going
- 42:19nowhere fast. It doesn't matter who's the
- 42:21manager, hire Joe Girardo, he's a better analyst and he might
- 42:26even fit over there because he just he plays by the book and
- 42:29their book is absolutely a book of losers as Joe Girardi who's
- 42:34only won 1 championship in what, the 13 years as a manager loser.
- 42:39So go hire. Binder of losers.
- 42:43Binder of. Losers.
- 42:43Yeah, it's just a loser. It had his own.
- 42:46It had his own Twitter Joe's binder, but there you go.
- 42:49Yeah. I mean, it's it's tough too,
- 42:52because Goody and I kind of talked about this and it's, you
- 42:55know, when they, you know, fire, they have to fire somebody.
- 42:58But obviously the front office didn't really do anything to
- 43:01help him like win. Like, yeah, they got Chris
- 43:04Bryant. But ever since they got, I mean,
- 43:08Charlie Blackman was probably their last household name.
- 43:10And that dude was a gamer. And then you had Cargo before
- 43:13that. And like Tulo Nolan, they had
- 43:15like a core decent group of guys and then got rid of them and
- 43:19never developed and never did anything.
- 43:21But they've also never done anything to try and persuade
- 43:25guys to go there. So you're not put them in,
- 43:27you're you're putting them in a black hole.
- 43:29You're 100% right. Because that's literally.
- 43:31They did nothing. They signed Kris Bryant 2022,
- 43:35the seven years 182,000,000. Aside from that, they signed Ian
- 43:38Desmond in 2016 for five for 60. And then in 2017, they kind of
- 43:43went all in in their bullpen with Wade Davis, Brian Shaw,
- 43:46Jake McGee, and really aside from that, it was like they
- 43:49signed Gerardo Para. For three years and those three
- 43:52were all like at the back end of their bullpen career, so.
- 43:57Well, Brian Shaw is still playing, but.
- 43:59He's going to play for him. Yeah, he's a big geek.
- 44:02He has got a rubber arm. But yes, they all three took
- 44:05major hits in their time in Colorado.
- 44:08It's hard to pitch there. It's hard to play there.
- 44:10It's just I don't know. You know, it's they don't
- 44:14they're not doing anything to help the Bud Black.
- 44:17And from what I gathered, all the people that pay play for Bud
- 44:20Black love him. Absolutely love him too.
- 44:23I pretty he's nothing but just a great manager and a great
- 44:25person. Same with Mike Redmond.
- 44:28Redmond played baseball for a long time.
- 44:30He gets it, he understands it. But it's just, you know, when,
- 44:33when, when there's a disconnect from the manager and the front
- 44:36office, there's some sort of disconnect going on there that
- 44:39they can't can't convert players or can't sign guys that come to
- 44:43their team. Like it's not a recipe for
- 44:46success. Well, it's it's hard to go there
- 44:48too if you don't win. Exactly.
- 44:50Well, I mean, if they're throwing millions and millions
- 44:52of dollars at you, it's easier. It's easier to say yes, right?
- 44:56But at the same time, like yes if your goal is to win a World
- 44:58Series and money is not an option, like I'd much rather go
- 45:01play in New York with a chance to win then go play in Colorado
- 45:07and get my shit kicked in every single night.
- 45:09I don't really know what the Hell's going on over there, but
- 45:11ever since they gave up on Iron Auto I.
- 45:14Feel like who have they developed in the last 20 years?
- 45:18I just gave you they. Gave away everyone.
- 45:20To Lewinsky, they had Kyle. They had Kyle Freeland.
- 45:23I'm talking about superstars. Troy to Lewinsky and Nolan
- 45:27Arenado. Those were the two superstars
- 45:29that they developed in 20 years. I mean, Todd Hilton.
- 45:32They also had Charlie Blackman. They also had.
- 45:35Margo. Margo Blackman was a good
- 45:38player, but he was he's superstar.
- 45:42I'm just saying. But was he was he a superstar?
- 45:44He was. He was a good player.
- 45:47He was a. Good player he.
- 45:49Was a good player, but they don't develop players.
- 45:52They really don't. They're an organization that
- 45:55throws away players. And then they had Trevor Story,
- 45:57but he couldn't stay healthy and he stinks anyways.
- 45:59So overrated. Ownership over there, that
- 46:02ownership could care less about putting a winning product on the
- 46:05field. That's what I.
- 46:06Think they should have never they gave away yeah, they should
- 46:08have never done this prime. And that they just said that
- 46:12they don't care about their fan base.
- 46:13That's one of the most beautiful.
- 46:14And it's a dope stadiums. I've been there.
- 46:17It is unbelievable. Like that whole in the whole
- 46:20area, the whole area around it, like you know, you can get food,
- 46:23you can hang out and then a lot of fun.
- 46:26The train like drops you off like right in that little
- 46:28district. I don't remember what it's
- 46:29called. We were actually there for
- 46:31karts, 1 of karts baseball tournaments and when the
- 46:34Avalanche were in the cup, and I mean it was nuts, they were
- 46:38having viewing parties. Like it was like the energy was
- 46:41awesome and they still get people to show up to the games,
- 46:44but they just stink. Like they, they deserve better.
- 46:47Those fans. It's a, it's a really beautiful
- 46:49stadium. Anyway, moving on, we got two
- 46:52more stories. This one I was saving up, but we
- 46:55had to make an audible and throw it in to dial it up.
- 46:58The Ducks hired Joel Quenville. The Anaheim Ducks don't call
- 47:03them Mighty Ducks, hired Joel Kent Quenville to be their next
- 47:06head coach on Thursday last week.
- 47:08Quenville had been out of the NHL after the sex abuse scandal
- 47:11with the Blackhawks under his watch when they finalized their
- 47:16investigation when he was coaching his next team.
- 47:21Ducks have not made the playoffs in seven seasons.
- 47:24Here's the the quote from Quentinville.
- 47:26I fully understand and accept those who question my return to
- 47:31the league. I know words aren't enough.
- 47:34I will demonstrate by my actions that I am a man of character.
- 47:41It's pretty simple. Quinnville was over there in
- 47:43Florida, he had the best record in hockey and then he gets
- 47:46fired. OK, And what did the Florida
- 47:48Panthers do after 2 after that, two years later, they win a
- 47:51Stanley Cup and they build nothing but a great organization
- 47:55and a great organization of growth with some of the young
- 47:57players. Quinnville, he had his stint, he
- 48:00he played for the he was over there with Chicago.
- 48:03He won multiple championships over there and everybody
- 48:05including Anaheim, they're reaching.
- 48:07They're they're trying to find that next coach at going to help
- 48:10them get to the promised land. The last time they were at the
- 48:12promised land, I don't know, they were lucky.
- 48:14They were practically a wild card team with a great
- 48:17goaltender that got them all the way to the finals and they
- 48:20choked. And that was like the team of
- 48:21Salani era. This is an organization that's
- 48:24completely reaching. They have a bunch of good young
- 48:28players in. Quinnville does know how to
- 48:30develop young players. How long is that going to last
- 48:32before you hear some other crazy story coming out of that
- 48:35organization that Quinnville knew something about and threw
- 48:39it or brushed it onto the rug? This is a man that can't be
- 48:42trusted. If you look at what Florida did
- 48:44in the year that they decided to part ways with him when they
- 48:47were in first place, it gets you thinking and wondering why they
- 48:50just decided to push him out out for as the head coach of the
- 48:54team. It makes me think and wonder
- 48:56that Quinnville has been nothing but a disgrace for wherever he's
- 49:00been, no matter how many championships he wins and how
- 49:02great of a hockey mind he is. This is a guy that just you
- 49:06cannot trust. And I'm sure, by the way, we
- 49:10don't even know the true full story that happened in Chicago.
- 49:14And I'm going to tell you guys one thing.
- 49:15There's going to be a documentary very, very soon
- 49:18that's coming out. I'm not going to mention who's
- 49:21who put this documentary together.
- 49:23When it does, it not only is going to grow legs, it's going
- 49:26to throw people under the bus in the NHL.
- 49:29The Chicago Blackhawks and some of the players that knew about
- 49:32this and didn't say anything while it was going on and
- 49:35Quinnville was behind it. And that's why the Florida
- 49:38Panthers wanted to get him the hell out of there before that
- 49:41story was going to approach. And now Anaheim, when they find
- 49:44out this story, it's going to be quick.
- 49:46It's going to be a quick poll. Nobody should hire this guy.
- 49:49He's an absolute joke. It's amazing how much is
- 49:53forgiven for winning. You know they all and it's
- 49:58ironic that it's the Ducks that it used to be the mighty ducks.
- 50:01The one of the best villains in kids movies ever was the the
- 50:04Hawks coach in the first mighty ducks movie with the pop collar
- 50:09telling Bombay you're you're not a has been you're never was one
- 50:15of the best insults he could throw at AI guess 30 year old a
- 50:21kids team, but that I don't ever since they got rid of the mighty
- 50:26and the mighty ducks, I think they cut cursed themselves.
- 50:28That was a fun, fun movie. One of my favorite movies as a
- 50:31kid made me love hockey. I don't know why that anyone's
- 50:35fearing a duck as opposed to the mighty ducks.
- 50:38That's I don't get. I never understood that change
- 50:40and I thought the logo was sweet back when they had the mighty
- 50:43ducks compared to what they have now.
- 50:45I think it's OK now. I like the newer ones they have,
- 50:47but the mighty ducks ones are classic.
- 50:49I don't, I don't. So the thing with me is
- 50:52whenville should not have this chance.
- 50:54And I agree with you, Errol. There's I can't wait to see that
- 50:57documentary. I'm going to ask you about it
- 50:59more off the air because I couldn't believe that.
- 51:02This end of the year crimes going to come out with the
- 51:04documentary and. I can't believe it.
- 51:07This doesn't make any sense. Why are you bringing this guy
- 51:10back to the league? You're not even in close to
- 51:12striking distance to win right now.
- 51:15You don't have. Everyone knows that you're years
- 51:18away. He's 66 years old.
- 51:21Are you thinking you're going to get, oh, we'll just bring him
- 51:24here to create the structure like he did in Florida and you
- 51:28know, we'll use him and get rid of him.
- 51:31And if that's what you're doing, you're disgraceful because this
- 51:35guy doesn't deserve to be coaching right now in the league
- 51:38at all. I thought that was decided
- 51:40already. And it what?
- 51:42It's a three-year penalty for him.
- 51:45That's not even 2 years. 2 off. Seasons.
- 51:50Just think about this, just think about it right now.
- 51:53Everybody that was a part of that organization besides the
- 51:56players are all gone and they haven't gotten another job.
- 51:59He's the only one that's gotten 2 offers from the Florida
- 52:03Panthers and now the Anaheim Ducks.
- 52:05All the the GM's, the assistant GM's, all the executives are
- 52:08part of that. That team that won the Stanley
- 52:10Cups have not gotten another job since they've left the Chicago
- 52:14Blackhawks. That says a lot about this
- 52:16organization. The NI Ducks, they're reaching
- 52:19and they're trying to find something that's going to get
- 52:21these youngsters back in order. I just, he's the wrong guy to
- 52:25bring in a guy that let one of his young players get physically
- 52:29raped by one of his tape guys. I mean, and he knew about it and
- 52:34he knew about it and brushed it under the rock.
- 52:37Brush it under the rug, those guys.
- 52:40I mean, we all remember the Joe Paterno story.
- 52:44That's what we basically accuse him of, isn't it?
- 52:49Yes. I don't believe this is much
- 52:51different. And Jonathan Tames, by the way,
- 52:53everybody wants to praise him as the great, one of the greatest
- 52:55captains of this era. It's disgraceful.
- 52:59You were, you were the captain of this Chicago Blackhawks team
- 53:02and respected by every NHL player.
- 53:04You knew about this and you didn't do anything about it.
- 53:07You didn't step into the step in and and try to protect one of
- 53:10your players. That's despicable, absolutely
- 53:12despicable. I would love to get Jonathan
- 53:14Tames on the show because I don't think he would ever step
- 53:16on the show because I just absolutely mutilate him because
- 53:19you're a captain of the team. You don't protect your players.
- 53:22What does a captain do? He protects everybody around
- 53:25them, looks out for everybody around them.
- 53:27This guy let it happen. So it's despicable.
- 53:31That's all I'm going to say all. Right, we got one last story
- 53:35before what's that smell and we wrap up tonight, so let's get
- 53:38into it. This is the one I know you were
- 53:40waiting for, Errol. Yes, Pat McAfee gets a standing
- 53:44ovation if you're getting beat down and choked out by Gunther
- 53:50WW ES backlash pay-per-view On Saturday, announcer Pat McAfee
- 53:55took on former world heavyweight champion Gunther.
- 53:59McAfee was beat red in the chest after taking the ring Generale
- 54:04I. Don't care.
- 54:05To miss chops. Despite interference from
- 54:08announcing partner Michael Cole, McAfee was put to sleep and lost
- 54:12the match. Like I said, the fans.
- 54:16Gave. One of the leaders in sports
- 54:19media a standing. A lot of hot ladies.
- 54:23We've set off the air, and I maybe even saw it once on the
- 54:26air that if you were not doing this, you would make a
- 54:31wonderful. Please.
- 54:33WWE heel manager, you would be the best bad guy manager that
- 54:39this that they they would have gone.
- 54:41You can get the bull like Jimmy Hart.
- 54:43We can get you all dressed up in outfits.
- 54:46You'd be freaking great at this. And for that I need.
- 54:49You to dial it up. First of all, I don't even know
- 54:52who he was wrestling. I didn't get a chance to watch
- 54:54it. And Pat McAfee, Guta, what is he
- 54:58like, a piece of chair? Whatever.
- 55:00Guter, Guter. What is he like a piece of
- 55:02cheese or something? The Drago type, but German and
- 55:06dark. Hair, Who cares?
- 55:07OK, the fact that Pat McAfee can get into the ring and actually
- 55:10wrestle, I give him a lot of credit.
- 55:12But it's all about promoting his product.
- 55:14If I if listen, if it's going to help, you want me to get in the
- 55:17ring and wave around a wand or dance with a chair or, you know,
- 55:21you know, pull my panties up and 1.
- 55:23I don't know. Whatever you whatever carry.
- 55:27Is the on ice or something? You.
- 55:30Whatever you want me to. Do.
- 55:33I bought her in the ring. Whatever I mean.
- 55:35Good at it. Nevertheless, if, if it's going
- 55:38to help our product grow, I'll do whatever it needs to be done.
- 55:42But I will say this, Patrick, Pat McAfee has an understanding
- 55:47on how to build a product and market his product.
- 55:49He's doing the right thing guys. And I, I'm not going to take
- 55:53anything away from what he's doing for his product and, and
- 55:56some of his guys. He's looked out for his guys and
- 55:58he's a big wrestling fan. This was his dream to be a part
- 56:02of ESPN and it was his dream to be a part of the WWE.
- 56:05So I I give them all the all the props in the world.
- 56:08I'm not going to, I'm not going to break him on this.
- 56:10He's making money and he's selling a product and he's
- 56:13selling it through many different areas.
- 56:15And there's nothing, there's nothing you can complain about
- 56:18or attack him for doing that. I could give a crap who he was
- 56:21wrestling and I could give a crap he was getting.
- 56:24He was getting cheered by the fans.
- 56:25Who cares? All I care about is how he is
- 56:29generating money. Mula Mucho De Niro, and he's
- 56:31doing it the. Show that he has in WWE, it like
- 56:34kind of feeds into itself because he he does so well with
- 56:38the fans there because he knows because he's a fan of wrestling
- 56:43and he's an athlete obviously professional athletes, say what
- 56:46you will about punters. I mean I can't kick my leg that
- 56:48high. I mean, we know that he was
- 56:50laying people out as a punter. So he's legit as far as
- 56:53athletics go, maybe not to the level of Gunther, as we found
- 56:58out on Saturday night of Backlash, but it he was, you
- 57:03know, acrobatic. He was telling the story.
- 57:05And more importantly, as far what I find interesting about
- 57:08it, people want to see him and he finds a way to get people to
- 57:13want to see that guy. And I just want to power to him.
- 57:16We all, we all rooting for you. We all kind of try to emulate,
- 57:19you know, what you're doing a little bit with what we do to a
- 57:22certain extent, maybe not jumping off of, you know, doing
- 57:26moonsaults off of the wrestling ring.
- 57:28Well. I would do it, I think Errol.
- 57:30Would I would do it? Talk talk smack about it.
- 57:32You. Think we do a shooting star
- 57:33press? I'll do whatever.
- 57:35Listen, if it's going to help us, I'll do a flip.
- 57:37I'll do a tumble salt. Brock Lesnar famously tried.
- 57:40To do, I'll do a. His neck doing.
- 57:42It. I'll do the macho man, I'll do
- 57:44whatever. I take the flying arm.
- 57:46I don't give a go. Here here is would you?
- 57:49We need to find a bet where you're doing a macho man elbow.
- 57:52I would do it on like you're jumping off of something to do a
- 57:54macho man. I'll do it right now of.
- 57:56Like a trampoline or something. I just think, I think too, to
- 57:59your, to your point, he's like, he's relatable because you see
- 58:03some of these guys and they they're like untouchable, right?
- 58:07And I think that comes with like athletes in general.
- 58:09Like he's open about all of his stuff.
- 58:11And like, so he becomes relatable because he gets the
- 58:16fans drawn to him because they feel like they can relate to him
- 58:20and he's a normal person. He just happens, you know,
- 58:23happened to play football, but you know, he had the personality
- 58:26he has the bravado he has, you know, everything that, you know,
- 58:30some people want to do. They just don't have the
- 58:32platform that he does and he does.
- 58:34And he's very relatable because he's just honest about what he
- 58:38does. And I mean, he's he's on
- 58:39everything now. I mean, shoot college game day,
- 58:42WWE, his show every day. And I think that's, that's one
- 58:46thing that, you know, a lot of people as fans, because they
- 58:49usually only see like the finished product.
- 58:51So they don't see what goes into it.
- 58:53And I think that's why he becomes so relatable to fans is
- 58:57because they're like, dude, I got a buddy just like him.
- 59:00Like he's just like him. And I think that's why, you
- 59:03know, he, he's obviously worked hard and he's taking care of his
- 59:06guys and he's then they've been ride or die with him.
- 59:08So I think that's just why. That's the only thing that I, I,
- 59:12I look at him and I, I give him a lot of credits is that he is
- 59:15stuck by his guys. He could have had a chance to
- 59:18walk away from his guys when ESPN offered him a contract.
- 59:21He says no, no, no, no, no. If if you're going to give me a
- 59:24contract, you're going to give them a contract.
- 59:26They're a part of this contract and you're going to make sure
- 59:29every single one of them going to be taken care of.
- 59:31And he is taking care of even AJ Hawk.
- 59:33AJ Hawk was the one that got Aaron, Aaron Rodgers involved.
- 59:36If you look at Pat McAfee, go look at Pat Mcafee's numbers
- 59:39before AJ Hawk came on the show. They're not good.
- 59:42He was he was really reaching. And then all of a sudden you
- 59:45bring in AJ Hawk that added all these extra guys like Pat
- 59:49Pac-Man Jones that was friends with AJ Hawk, all these
- 59:51personalities that have worked out for him.
- 59:53He's done a really, really good job on building his product.
- 59:56His product, as far as what his knowledge is, it's not good.
- 59:59But he said he has a personality and he knows how to bring a
- 1:00:03product to life, no matter if he's in the ring in the WWE or
- 1:00:07he's inside his set, his studio, talking about, you know, dirty
- 1:00:12asses in the smell of dirty asses when he was in a freaking
- 1:00:15locker room. He is a unique individual.
- 1:00:17He is a very unique individual. Thank you to all the fans out

- 1:01:07Anyways, that's it for our show. Who do we have on Thursday
- 1:01:09speech? All right, thanks.
- 1:01:10Shout out to Nathan again for getting this one and another
- 1:01:13well known actor joining us, Robert Funaro.
- 1:01:15He was on The Sopranos and many other things, a lot of gangster
- 1:01:19stuff, mob stuff in the last 23 years, but well known most for
- 1:01:22the sort of for the support. Would you eat a sausage with
- 1:01:25them? Oh God.
- 1:01:25Would you eat a sausage with them?
- 1:01:26No. Why not?
- 1:01:28Because you would make too big of a deal.
- 1:01:30I know I'm asking you, would you eat a sausage?
- 1:01:31Yes, and you will not know about.
- 1:01:33It spicy, yes. Which one?
- 1:01:36Yes, I'll not know about it. Thick, Nope.
