Latest / Mental Per4mance Daily with Adam Rutz / Work Always Wins
Transcript
- Adam Rutz: The formula is simple. Work wins. Yesterday we talked about how big goals require big trade-offs. Today, as you enter into a new week, I want you to think about the other side of that equation. Where can you put in more work? Because the trade-offs you're willing to make only matter if you take that time, energy, and attention and invest it into something that moves you forward. So as you prepare for everything that's about to hit your plate this week, ask yourself, where can I level up my work? Where can I give more effort? Where can I be more prepared? Where have I been doing just enough when I know I'm capable of more? Because work wins. If there's one message I want to make clear today, it's this. There is something inside of you right now that is chasing greatness. Maybe you're an athlete. Maybe you own a business. Maybe you work in sales. Maybe you're an accountant, an engineer, a teacher, a janitor, a coach, a parent. It doesn't matter what the title is. It matters what you're chasing and how seriously you're willing to work for it. A year from right now, you're going to look back at this season of your life and you're going to have to answer a question. Am I where I wanted to be a year ago? And that answer is being built right now. It's being built in your work. Your preparation, your discipline, your decisions, and your willingness to sacrifice something comfortable today for something meaningful tomorrow. Some of those sacrifices are gonna suck, plain and simple. Some mornings you're gonna wake up and you're not gonna feel like doing the work. Some nights you're gonna wanna shut it down early. Some days it'd probably be easier to coast. But I promise you this: there are few feelings better than setting a benchmark for yourself. Raising the standard of what you believe you're capable of, working your ass off, and then smashing that standard. So today, Sunday, before this week starts, identify one area where you know you can work harder. Not 10 things, just one. And then attack it this week. Because talent helps, opportunity helps, connections help. But eventually, work is what will separate people. Work. Always wins mindset, process, discipline, execution. That's mental performance daily.
