- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to A Meeting of the Minds, crafted from decades
- 0:05Speaker 1: of talk show experience. An extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
- 0:22Speaker 2: That it is, and we welcome everybody on this Monday,
- 0:24Speaker 2: the 31st of August.
- 0:26Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 0:26Speaker 2: No, we. No, I welcome everybody. I welcome everybody here
- 0:30Speaker 2: to the latest episode of M. That's right, M. It's
- 0:33Speaker 2: what we call it when Mike's not here. It's what
- 0:35Speaker 2: Mike calls it when I'm not here, which, as the
- 0:37Speaker 2: weeks unfold, is going to happen from time to time.
- 0:40Speaker 2: But I've been given a burst of fantastic news, because
- 0:43Speaker 2: if the notion of just the lack of chemistry and
- 0:47Speaker 2: banter and ridiculous tension between us just makes you less
- 0:50Speaker 2: interested in In the entire product, which I can understand,
- 0:53Speaker 2: even though I'm going to do my absolute best to
- 0:56Speaker 2: make this worthwhile for you, I am given to understand
- 0:59Speaker 2: that what had stood as a week without Mike and
- 1:04Speaker 2: a week without Mike is like a week without sunshine.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I am now told, breaking news, Mike will be, he
- 1:12Speaker 2: just can't stay away. The man cannot relax. I just,
- 1:15Speaker 2: if I were him, I'd blow out for a couple
- 1:18Speaker 2: of weeks after the year we're having. But anyway, I'm
- 1:21Speaker 2: given to understand that Mike will be here on Thursday
- 1:24Speaker 2: and Friday, so don't tease me with a good time.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And so it will indeed be living up to both
- 1:30Speaker 2: letters of the M & M. I'm one of them,
- 1:32Speaker 2: Mark Davis, talk show guy at 660 AM, the answer
- 1:35Speaker 2: in Dallas-Fort Worth. And the other M, of course, is
- 1:37Speaker 2: Mike Gallagher, famed nationally across the Salem Radio Network and
- 1:41Speaker 2: Salem radio. news channel platforms. And everything we do here
- 1:44Speaker 2: is brought to you in part by Preborn. You can
- 1:47Speaker 2: stand for life today by joining us and providing ultrasounds
- 1:50Speaker 2: to girls and women. You will double the likelihood that
- 1:54Speaker 2: she will choose life. Call 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY, or go to
- 2:00Speaker 2: preborn.com slash mm extra. More on those good people as
- 2:06Speaker 2: we progress through today's somewhat shortened episode, because, hey, how
- 2:10Speaker 2: long can I do this by myself? The short answer is,
- 2:14Speaker 2: I don't know, 15 or 18 minutes or so, because
- 2:16Speaker 2: I've blocked out a couple of things that I wanted
- 2:19Speaker 2: to mention to you from this morning's radio show and
- 2:22Speaker 2: from things that I've just been thinking about in keeping
- 2:26Speaker 2: track of things since my actual radio show came to
- 2:29Speaker 2: an end about an hour ago. As August comes to
- 2:33Speaker 2: an end and we are looking at unpacking the news
- 2:37Speaker 2: stories of September, I think back to shows I've done
- 2:42Speaker 2: for months now, in the six months or so, the
- 2:44Speaker 2: pretty well half year of war with Iran. When we started,
- 2:51Speaker 2: nobody should have thought that this was going to be
- 2:54Speaker 2: easy or brief and before you yell at the screen
- 2:59Speaker 2: of your choice and go, hey, talk show boy, Trump
- 3:02Speaker 2: said it would be easy and brief. He probably thought
- 3:06Speaker 2: we'd be done by now. Maybe I thought we'd be
- 3:10Speaker 2: done by now. But then I also thought that Russia
- 3:12Speaker 2: would roll over Ukraine in about two weeks, too. And
- 3:14Speaker 2: that didn't happen. And they're still involved in that some
- 3:17Speaker 2: years down the pike. I don't think it's going to
- 3:21Speaker 2: take that long. Iran is going to lose. We are
- 3:24Speaker 2: going to achieve our extended goal of defanging them as
- 3:29Speaker 2: a nuclear threat, of unplugging their ability to fund Hamas
- 3:35Speaker 2: and Hezbollah. Things that we have done for now already,
- 3:40Speaker 2: which makes this an obvious net positive for these months
- 3:45Speaker 2: that we have been at war. But it would have
- 3:50Speaker 2: been nice. And you never try to run a war
- 3:54Speaker 2: on a clock. It's just never a good idea. And
- 3:57Speaker 2: President Trump has said many times, I'm not running the
- 3:59Speaker 2: war on the clock. I'm not looking at the data.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm not running things according to the midterms. And clearly
- 4:04Speaker 2: that's true. He has to know and still knows that
- 4:11Speaker 2: it is a steeper uphill climb if on the 3rd
- 4:15Speaker 2: of November, we're still taking potshots at them, they're still
- 4:19Speaker 2: taking potshots at us, and gas is still $ 4. 25 a gallon.
- 4:23Speaker 2: It makes it harder to win the midterms. Impossible? No,
- 4:29Speaker 2: for reasons I'll circle back with you about toward the
- 4:33Speaker 2: end of today's experience because I think we are going
- 4:36Speaker 2: to be able to make ample hay out of how
- 4:40Speaker 2: crazy the other side is. Now, I'm the guy who's
- 4:43Speaker 2: told you repeatedly that, you know, hey, those guys are
- 4:45Speaker 2: crazy is not the only thing we can use. We
- 4:48Speaker 2: as Republicans, we as conservatives have to be able to
- 4:52Speaker 2: point to our list of achievements and say, hey, these
- 4:55Speaker 2: are awesome things we have done. And there are awesome
- 4:58Speaker 2: things we have done. We have rediscovered gender sanity. We've
- 5:02Speaker 2: rediscovered environmental sanity. There are pro-business policies everywhere. We have
- 5:08Speaker 2: a border that works. Crime is down all over the country.
- 5:12Speaker 2: And I think it's because there's an overall feeling that
- 5:14Speaker 2: grownups are back in charge. There's a feeling of support
- 5:18Speaker 2: for our troops and our military that you just don't
- 5:21Speaker 2: get during the average garden variety Democrat administration. So I
- 5:25Speaker 2: think the list of things that Republicans and conservatives can
- 5:28Speaker 2: point to is long and fruitful. And we better be
- 5:33Speaker 2: ready to do that alongside the, and again, I'm going
- 5:35Speaker 2: to have a bumper sticker or a t-shirt printed up
- 5:37Speaker 2: that essentially says, you may not agree with us on everything,
- 5:41Speaker 2: but those people are insane. So a lot of the
- 5:45Speaker 2: paths that people take toward weight loss are pretty crazy too.
- 5:50Speaker 2: See what I did there? I can do it even
- 5:51Speaker 2: when my buddy's not here. And obviously, Mike is the
- 5:54Speaker 2: PhD weight loss poster boy. And here's the thing. He
- 5:59Speaker 2: tried everything and found something that worked. And as Mike
- 6:03Speaker 2: tells you in his story, you're carrying weight that won't
- 6:06Speaker 2: move no matter what you do. PhD weight loss treats
- 6:08Speaker 2: that weight As a symptom and not a character flaw.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And there's Dr. Ashley Lucas, because she knows that the
- 6:15Speaker 2: real problem isn't what you're eating. It's what your metabolism
- 6:18Speaker 2: stopped doing. And PhD restores it. And according to their
- 6:22Speaker 2: client survey data, eight out of 10 PhD clients dropped 10%
- 6:26Speaker 2: or more. of their body weight and 96% reported better energy.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And you can do this. All you have to do
- 6:34Speaker 2: is make the call. And that call is 864-644-1900. That's 864-644-1900.
- 6:41Speaker 2: PhD weight loss. Check it out. They're great. Mention Mike G.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You get two free weeks in the program. They'll even
- 6:49Speaker 2: cover the cost of your food. Put that all together.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Tally that up. It's a $ 1, 500 value. So let's go, 864-644-1900,
- 6:55Speaker 2: or go to MyPhDWeightLoss.com. Now, enough talking about Mike. Let's
- 7:01Speaker 2: talk about me. Actually, this is Mike and me, and
- 7:06Speaker 2: that is our dual success stories on Relief Factor. Mike
- 7:09Speaker 2: had back problems. I had arm problems. We're dudes in
- 7:13Speaker 2: our 60s. It's going to happen. And no matter what
- 7:16Speaker 2: age you might be, when it comes to supplements and
- 7:21Speaker 2: The two things that matter are does it work and
- 7:23Speaker 2: can you trust it? And Mike's relief factor story is
- 7:26Speaker 2: getting out of back pain, sacroiliac issues. He had a
- 7:31Speaker 2: hip replacement. He's half bionic now. But the relief factor
- 7:34Speaker 2: is really helping. And it's helping me as well because
- 7:37Speaker 2: I got arm motion I didn't have as reliably. And that,
- 7:40Speaker 2: you know, being 68 years old and get up and
- 7:42Speaker 2: you kind of ache for a couple of minutes. Not anymore.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I don't. And that's because I've been popping the relief factor.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And it's great. They make it easy to find out
- 7:50Speaker 2: if you'll be the next person telling us that Relief
- 7:52Speaker 2: Factor gave you back what you love. Three weeks for
- 7:55Speaker 2: just $ 17. 76. Get it, $ 17. 76. Go to relieffactor.com, call 1-800-4-RELIEF,
- 8:02Speaker 2: relieffactor.com or 1-800-4-RELIEF, and we look forward to hearing your stories.
- 8:08Speaker 2: All right, let me share with you a couple of
- 8:09Speaker 2: stories that we talked about on the show today. I
- 8:12Speaker 2: don't know how you plan your talk shows, but the
- 8:15Speaker 2: ones that I've done for a ridiculous amount of years– I,
- 8:20Speaker 2: the previous day, I got a general idea of what's
- 8:23Speaker 2: been going on in the news and I go to
- 8:25Speaker 2: bed at night and I've sort of got a talk
- 8:27Speaker 2: show stored in my brain, ready to release the hounds
- 8:30Speaker 2: when the, when the microphone light goes on at 7 a.m.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Eastern time here on 660 a.m. The answer. Sometimes in
- 8:39Speaker 2: the overnight hours, something can arise or sometimes something will
- 8:42Speaker 2: occur to me to do just a story, to weave
- 8:45Speaker 2: a plot line, to lay out. And such was the
- 8:48Speaker 2: case this morning, because a lot of times any brand
- 8:52Speaker 2: new day of talk shows is something brand new that
- 8:56Speaker 2: just happened in the news. Breaking news. This just happened.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Got to talk about this. Other times they are continuing narratives.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Lord knows the war is one of those continuing narratives.
- 9:05Speaker 2: But there have been two narratives of the summertime that
- 9:09Speaker 2: have just been talk show gold. They've just been they've
- 9:11Speaker 2: been absolutely fascinating data centers and and flock cameras. These
- 9:18Speaker 2: and I've stumbled across a kind of an interesting observation
- 9:21Speaker 2: that if you gather 100 people, like 100 elected officials,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and there are some people who are pro data center,
- 9:26Speaker 2: some anti flock cameras, some people who are pro flock cameras,
- 9:30Speaker 2: some anti flock cameras. You have no idea what what
- 9:33Speaker 2: political party anybody is. I mean, you run across people
- 9:37Speaker 2: on issues like abortion or immigration or, you know, whatever.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Chances are, you know, the Republicans and you know, the Democrats.
- 9:43Speaker 2: There are plenty of supporters and plenty of detractors. on
- 9:47Speaker 2: both of these fascinating storylines. And that's what makes it
- 9:51Speaker 2: really interesting here in the talk show universe, because I
- 9:56Speaker 2: and Mike and everybody else who does this for a living,
- 9:59Speaker 2: we've been taking calls upon calls upon calls from people.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Let's do data centers first, because I think that's going
- 10:05Speaker 2: to be the easier one to solve. I offered this
- 10:09Speaker 2: up as a controversy that may be on the way
- 10:16Speaker 2: towards solving itself already. Because a few months ago, everybody's
- 10:21Speaker 2: up in arms about data centers. Nobody wants them. We
- 10:23Speaker 2: hate it. Stop all of them. From Governor Greg Abbott
- 10:30Speaker 2: here in Texas, where I am, to Josh Shapiro, Democrat
- 10:34Speaker 2: up in Pennsylvania, to others, I think they've noticed that
- 10:40Speaker 2: the public is not thrilled with the proliferation of these things.
- 10:44Speaker 2: And they feel there have been certain concerns from water
- 10:47Speaker 2: to power usage to the aesthetics of these massive beasts
- 10:51Speaker 2: as they plunk down in your neighborhood. And it has
- 10:53Speaker 2: made a lot of elected officials want to say, let's
- 10:58Speaker 2: sit tight on this a little bit. Let's hit a
- 11:00Speaker 2: big pause button. And so that's largely been done. I
- 11:03Speaker 2: think President Trump, as recently as this morning, said, hey,
- 11:08Speaker 2: you want to be poor and backward? Then oppose data centers. Whoa, OK, Mr.
- 11:12Speaker 1: President.
- 11:13Speaker 2: We'll put you down as undecided. He likes them. I
- 11:17Speaker 2: like them. I mean, I'm pro data center. I'm pro AI.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I'm pro technology. I'm pro beating the Chinese. But I'm
- 11:24Speaker 2: anti the same things that most of y'all are anti.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm anti one of them in my backyard. I'm anti
- 11:30Speaker 2: using up all the water and all the power. And
- 11:32Speaker 2: that's where you get to our first, I think, moment
- 11:35Speaker 2: of resolution. I believe that the power usage and the
- 11:38Speaker 2: water usage issues have been largely overstated. What are the
- 11:42Speaker 2: best examples people have come up with? Golf courses and
- 11:45Speaker 2: the almond industry both use way more water than, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 2: 10 times our current level of data centers would use.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And they're also using a certain recycling, a certain evaporative cooling.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't think that we're all going to be turned
- 12:01Speaker 2: into a desert because of data centers. And as far
- 12:05Speaker 2: as the power usage, I think many of them, if
- 12:08Speaker 2: there's anything you can count on, first of all, look
- 12:10Speaker 2: who's building them. tech companies. What do they know about? Tech.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And I think the tech is going to come down
- 12:16Speaker 2: the pike that will enable them to do their business
- 12:19Speaker 2: and have what they need and give us all the
- 12:21Speaker 2: AI and computing power that we're going to need to
- 12:25Speaker 2: beat the Chinese and be able to do it while
- 12:28Speaker 2: minimizing the concerns to the locals. Which leaves the only
- 12:32Speaker 2: other one, and that is to have these things right
- 12:34Speaker 2: by your house or your ranch or your neighborhood or
- 12:37Speaker 2: your lake. I think they're going to need to start
- 12:39Speaker 2: shoving these things further out into the hinterlands, and I'd
- 12:41Speaker 2: be thoroughly good with that. And, you know, talk to Elon.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He'll sit there and tell you we probably have them
- 12:46Speaker 2: in space by Christmas. You know, it's probably a little ambitious,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and I'm half kidding about that, but only half. So
- 12:52Speaker 2: we're going to find a place to put these things,
- 12:54Speaker 2: and we're not going to, I think, be saddled with
- 12:59Speaker 2: a lot of negatives about them for much longer. And
- 13:02Speaker 2: the good news is because they've heard you. I think
- 13:05Speaker 2: the tech companies have heard you. I think local officials
- 13:07Speaker 2: have heard you. Um, so, uh, I think that that's a,
- 13:12Speaker 2: I think that's a good thing. And I believe that, uh,
- 13:15Speaker 2: that that problem is on its way to, to resolving itself.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Flock cameras are going to be a harder, uh, a
- 13:21Speaker 2: harder nut to crack because while the benefits of giving
- 13:26Speaker 2: police another tool, uh, to find bad guys, who's not
- 13:30Speaker 2: in favor of that. We're back to blue around here.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Pro police, pro law enforcement.
- 13:34Speaker 1: You bet.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Got an abducted kid, stolen car, who knows what car
- 13:37Speaker 2: you need to find. Nothing finds a stolen car like
- 13:40Speaker 2: being able to look for its license plate. There it is.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Who doesn't love that? Well, a lot of people don't
- 13:45Speaker 2: love that because of the privacy issues. Now, what exactly
- 13:49Speaker 2: is the privacy issue? Do you have the same expectation
- 13:52Speaker 2: of privacy in your home or on the road that
- 13:57Speaker 2: you do at home? And the short answer there is no.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You're not in your house. We're not putting flock cameras
- 14:02Speaker 2: in your house. But if somebody tells me one more time,
- 14:06Speaker 2: that if a human set of eyes can see you
- 14:09Speaker 2: on the street, then a flock camera seeing you on
- 14:11Speaker 2: the street is exactly the same thing. Well, it's a
- 14:15Speaker 2: robot set of eyes, but the other thing is just
- 14:18Speaker 2: the sheer number of them. Because if indeed it's true,
- 14:22Speaker 2: and it is, that if you're out there in public,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you can be seen by a person, so you can
- 14:27Speaker 2: be seen by a camera, so far so good, the
- 14:31Speaker 2: cameras are everywhere. So imagine, if you will, not just
- 14:36Speaker 2: one set of human eyes watching you go to the bank,
- 14:38Speaker 2: watching you leave your workplace as you go to the
- 14:41Speaker 2: gun store or whatever. But imagine an army of detectives
- 14:46Speaker 2: to follow every single one of us. Hey, it's just
- 14:49Speaker 2: human eyes out there seeing us out in the wild.
- 14:52Speaker 2: It's just you're out there where you can be seen.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And I know we are. And that's a fair point
- 14:58Speaker 2: that could be made up to a point. But we
- 15:01Speaker 2: are setting up a surveillance state. and something that is
- 15:05Speaker 2: dauntingly abusable if we're not really careful and really, really vigilant.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So this one is going to take, and it's funny,
- 15:14Speaker 2: on today's show, I heard from cops who love them,
- 15:18Speaker 2: cops who don't. Conservatives who love them, conservatives who don't.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I don't know. I think that the similarity with this
- 15:28Speaker 2: and data centers is going to be the level of comfort,
- 15:30Speaker 2: if that's even the word, the level of comfort that
- 15:34Speaker 2: people can give us that we're going to be able
- 15:36Speaker 2: to enjoy the positives while, if not eliminating, managing the negatives.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Let's manage the negatives of trying to sit down for
- 15:45Speaker 2: an evening of TV. When's the last time you tried that? Oh,
- 15:48Speaker 2: hide your eyes, kids. That's, you know, that's a naked
- 15:51Speaker 2: person or F-bombs flying all over the place. I'm glad
- 15:56Speaker 2: to tell you about Eccle. Echol, E-K-K-L, Echol, Stars of
- 16:00Speaker 2: Duck Dynasty, Willie, Corey Robertson, that whole crowd, magnificent people.
- 16:04Speaker 2: If there's anything that a season or two of Duck
- 16:06Speaker 2: Dynasty will show you is that something can be funny,
- 16:08Speaker 2: it can be touching, it can be good, and it
- 16:10Speaker 2: doesn't have to offend your sensibility. So that's why they're
- 16:12Speaker 2: involved with Echol. You've got movies, you've got series, you've
- 16:16Speaker 2: got podcasts, you've got daily devotionals. It's just a little
- 16:21Speaker 2: bit of everything, one platform, multiple ways to feel really
- 16:25Speaker 2: good about how you're spending your time. and connecting with
- 16:27Speaker 2: a community that shares your values. So check it out.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Just $ 5. 83 a month. Getting started is easy. Go to Echol, E-K-K-L, Echol.com.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Sign up today and get ready to be a part
- 16:39Speaker 2: of something better. Many of you have sought to be
- 16:44Speaker 2: a part of our partnership with Preborn, and we are
- 16:47Speaker 2: so incredibly grateful for that because they are a title sponsor.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I'll tell you a little something about Preborn right there
- 16:53Speaker 2: at the top of every episode of M & M Extra.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And what they are doing, you know what it means
- 16:59Speaker 2: to be pro-life, right? To be pro-life means that you're
- 17:02Speaker 2: out there going to bat for women choosing not to
- 17:05Speaker 2: abort their babies. You would think that would be a
- 17:08Speaker 2: fairly universal value. It's not. So that's why the battle continues.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And what pre-born is doing is giving free ultrasounds to
- 17:16Speaker 2: girls and women, because if you're pregnant and you see
- 17:20Speaker 2: that life growing inside you and you hear that heartbeat,
- 17:22Speaker 2: you are twice as likely to choose life. So that's
- 17:27Speaker 2: what we're trying to get people to do. And we
- 17:29Speaker 2: hope that you will choose to give us $ 140. Here's
- 17:31Speaker 2: how that works. The $ 140 gift helps give five mothers
- 17:33Speaker 2: a free ultrasound and save babies. $ 280 saves 10 babies.
- 17:35Speaker 2: You can sign up for $ 28 a month. You can
- 17:46Speaker 2: help save a baby a month for less than a
- 17:48Speaker 2: dollar a day. Now, we've told you about the $ 15, 000
- 17:52Speaker 2: gift that'll buy an ultrasound machine. Talk about the gift
- 17:55Speaker 2: that keeps on giving and keeps on saving lives. And
- 17:57Speaker 2: I know 15 grand is 15 grand. Now, when Mike
- 18:00Speaker 2: is back on Thursday, and listen, we may have filled
- 18:03Speaker 2: it up by now. I don't think so. If we have,
- 18:06Speaker 2: we'll tell you. Mike at MikeOnline.com, right there, Eric. Mike
- 18:10Speaker 2: at MikeOnline.com. If you email Mike, because he's doing the
- 18:15Speaker 2: walk and the point for this, if we can find
- 18:17Speaker 2: five people at three grand a pop, we're going to
- 18:19Speaker 2: gather a lunch right here in the DFW area that
- 18:21Speaker 2: Mike will attend and I will attend and you will attend,
- 18:24Speaker 2: you and a plus one. We'll hang out. We'll talk
- 18:26Speaker 2: about stuff. That's just for $ 3, 000. You're thinking, is it
- 18:28Speaker 2: worth $ 3, 000 to hang with these guys? Please, I'd do it.
- 18:33Speaker 2: So there you go. So what you do is you
- 18:37Speaker 2: email Mike at MikeOnline.com and say, yeah, Mike, I heard
- 18:41Speaker 2: about that three grand. I think I'm on board for that.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And they'll get back in touch with you and make
- 18:44Speaker 2: those wheels start to roll. So this is all for pre-mourning,
- 18:47Speaker 2: no matter what you're doing. Now, that's the email method.
- 18:50Speaker 2: If you've got the 140, the 280, or the 15
- 18:53Speaker 2: grand line around, you just want to do an ultrasound
- 18:56Speaker 2: machine proactively. 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY. or go to preborn.com slash mmextra.
- 19:07Speaker 1: So I've got a clip.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I want to play. It's President Trump on with Trey Gowdy.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Gowdy's a funny cat. I just love Gowdy. Is everybody
- 19:15Speaker 2: from South Carolina now? All the news, all the people
- 19:17Speaker 2: are from the great Palmetto State of South Carolina. And
- 19:21Speaker 2: Trey Gowdy, of course, who served in Congress from there
- 19:23Speaker 2: and now has a Fox show or two, and he's
- 19:26Speaker 2: a novelist now and an interviewer of some substance. And
- 19:31Speaker 2: he was talking to President Trump over the weekend. And
- 19:35Speaker 2: what this has to do, this is cut seven from
- 19:37Speaker 2: Tracy's list this morning, guys. If indeed, when I started
- 19:43Speaker 2: this exercise a few minutes ago, I said, look, um,
- 19:47Speaker 2: we're going to have to make clear that we as
- 19:50Speaker 2: Republicans have done some things that are worth voting for.
- 19:53Speaker 2: We have to make people like, Hey, you want some
- 19:55Speaker 2: more of this? That, that needs to be our pitch.
- 19:57Speaker 2: What are the things we're doing? Do you want more
- 19:59Speaker 2: of those things? The flip side of that coin is you,
- 20:04Speaker 2: you just can't want what the other side is peddling.
- 20:06Speaker 2: You just can't. Um, Trump's first victory in 2016 and
- 20:11Speaker 2: his most recent victory in 2024, and some would argue
- 20:15Speaker 2: the one in the middle there in 2020, I think
- 20:17Speaker 2: were referenda, plural, to a degree, on the other candidate.
- 20:25Speaker 2: In 2016, Trump won because Trump, but also I don't
- 20:29Speaker 2: think people were interested in Hillary. In 2024, Trump won
- 20:32Speaker 2: because of Trump. And also it was absolutely a statement
- 20:35Speaker 2: that said, we do not want Kamala Harris. We just don't.
- 20:40Speaker 2: So here is President Trump with Trey Gowdy talking about how, guys,
- 20:45Speaker 2: these other people, they're bringing you socialism, they're bringing you communism,
- 20:49Speaker 2: and surely you cannot want that.
- 20:52Speaker 3: This is very dangerous for our country. I'm not saying
- 20:55Speaker 3: good guy, bad guy. I'm just saying this is big,
- 20:59Speaker 3: big trouble for our country. Likewise, many others. And what's
- 21:04Speaker 3: happened is you're seeing Democrats, of which are fewer and fewer,
- 21:09Speaker 3: are forced to vote in a way that they would
- 21:11Speaker 3: not vote. And they don't even believe in their vote.
- 21:14Speaker 3: But if they don't vote that way, they lose power.
- 21:17Speaker 3: With all of that being said, I think we're going
- 21:18Speaker 3: to do well. And I'm going to go campaign like
- 21:21Speaker 3: I did. You know, I took off when we had
- 21:23Speaker 3: the presidential election. I took off 120 days, four months.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Every single day I was on the trail. And if
- 21:31Speaker 3: I didn't make one or two or three speeches, I
- 21:34Speaker 3: felt guilty. And Kamala, when I looked at her schedule,
- 21:38Speaker 3: because you know where they're printed schedules, she took all
- 21:41Speaker 3: this time off. She didn't really campaign very hard. And
- 21:44Speaker 3: I said, wait a minute, you're going for the gold ring.
- 21:46Speaker 3: You're going to make America great again. You got to
- 21:49Speaker 3: go every single day. So it's 120 days. So I
- 21:50Speaker 3: campaigned for 120 days without missing a day.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Well, now we got 64, right? Tomorrow is Tuesday. That's
- 22:02Speaker 2: nine weeks to the midterm, 63 days. In a way,
- 22:06Speaker 2: that's forever. And in a way, it's going to go
- 22:09Speaker 2: like the snap of a finger. Well, they say time
- 22:12Speaker 2: flies when you're having fun. So maybe the M &
- 22:13Speaker 2: M Extra experience helps time move even more quickly, if
- 22:17Speaker 2: in fact that's even what we want. Today's time has
- 22:19Speaker 2: absolutely flown. Thank you to Eric. Thank you to Yasmin.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Thank you to Tracy. Just thanks to everybody that makes
- 22:24Speaker 2: this all possible. I hope my– I don't even know
- 22:27Speaker 2: where Mike is. That's crazy. Usually, I mean, I've usually
- 22:30Speaker 2: got GPS coordinates on him. So whatever he's doing, it
- 22:33Speaker 2: either really must be fun or he doesn't want me
- 22:36Speaker 2: to know because he thinks I'll tell you. We are
- 22:38Speaker 2: back together again tomorrow here on M & M Extra. Meanwhile,
- 22:41Speaker 2: thank you guys so much. If you're driving around listening
- 22:44Speaker 2: to this, pumping through your sound system on Apple or Spotify, whatever. So,
- 22:48Speaker 2: so very grateful. If you're watching the live stream on YouTube,
- 22:51Speaker 2: we do that every day at 11. Central Time, noon Eastern.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Go to YouTube and just hit M & M Extra.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Click it, like it, subscribe to it. Thank you very,
- 23:00Speaker 2: very much. We deeply appreciate it. We love you. God
- 23:02Speaker 2: bless this great country. I'm Mark Davis, in for Mike.
- 23:06Speaker 2: And we will see you next time. That would be tomorrow,
- 23:07Speaker 2: right here on M & M Extra. Be good and
- 23:09Speaker 2: have a great day.
