- Lucas: Okay, so we're heading back to the park in a way. Not a picnic or sports this time — more like we're just describing what we see on a walk. Luna: Oh, I like that. So we can point out things like benches, trees, flowers? That's useful. Lucas: Exactly. And you know, if Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Italian, we want to keep it that way. We deliberately don't run ads on these episodes. If you want to support that choice, the link is buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Luna: Yeah, it's nice to know we're here just for the learning, not for selling stuff. So let's get into today's phrases. Lucas: Alright, let's start with something simple. Imagine you're walking and you see a bench. You can say: C'è una panchina. That means 'There's a bench.' Luna: C'è una panchina. Lucas: Perfect. Now if there are multiple trees, you say: Ci sono degli alberi. 'There are some trees.' Luna: Ci sono degli alberi. That's a bit of a mouthful. Lucas: You got it. And then if you want to say it's a nice spot: È un bel posto. Luna: È un bel posto. I love that. Lucas: Good. Now imagine there's a small lake: Vedo un laghetto. 'I see a small lake.' Luna: Vedo un laghetto. Laghetto is cute. Lucas: And if there are flowers: Ci sono dei fiori. Luna: Ci sono dei fiori. Lucas: Last one: Andiamo a vedere. 'Let's go see.' Luna: Andiamo a vedere. That's a nice invitation. Lucas: So let's imagine we're on a walk together. I'll describe what I see, and you respond. Luna: Okay, go ahead. Lucas: C'è una panchina. Luna: Ci sono degli alberi. Lucas: È un bel posto, vero? Luna: Sì, è un bel posto. Vedo un laghetto. Lucas: E ci sono dei fiori. Luna: Andiamo a vedere? Lucas: Perfetto! You did great. Let's hear the phrases one more time. Luna: C'è una panchina. Ci sono degli alberi. È un bel posto. Vedo un laghetto. Ci sono dei fiori. Andiamo a vedere. Lucas: That's all for today. Practice these when you go for a walk, and you'll be describing the park like a local. See you next time!
