Fayette County Public Schools has officially launched its search for a new superintendent, kicking off with a community-driven Superintendent Screening Committee. Nominations open August 26th and close September 2nd, followed by voting from September 3rd–9th — all to ensure transparency and input from teachers, staff, parents, and guardians. With a vacancy declared on August 17th, the district is racing against Kentucky’s 30-day deadline to assemble the committee and select a leader focused on student success, stability, and classroom excellence.
