- 1:14Speaker 3: So, if you don't know I was, I was in
- 1:16Speaker 3: Capitol Hill last Thursday for the State of the Union address.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I want to start the conversation with this. This.
- 1:25Speaker 3: This is my conspiracy theory bag. And I can't say
- 1:28Speaker 3: too much. Oh, I can't say too much, but I
- 1:31Speaker 3: will say this. I was extremely confident that Donald Trump
- 1:34Speaker 3: was going to become president prior to my visit to Washington.
- 1:39Speaker 3: And I think a lot of CEOs at least months ago,
- 1:43Speaker 3: had priced in they already the stock market had already
- 1:46Speaker 3: priced in a Donald Trump victory. This is just my
- 1:48Speaker 3: personal opinion, ladies and gentlemen. I received some information that
- 1:56Speaker 3: changed my mind. I'm not I'm not as confident.
- 2:04Speaker 2: My mom.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I can hear doctor Mama.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yes, that's what he's talking about.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'm not saying.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I'm not saying that Biden is gonna win, but I
- 2:16Speaker 3: did receive some information that I wasn't aware of. It's
- 2:22Speaker 3: gonna be it's gonna be a it's gonna be a
- 2:24Speaker 3: tight race. Let's just say that. So I think, Like
- 2:26Speaker 3: I said, this is just my personal opinion. I think
- 2:30Speaker 3: that from a market standpoint, if you if you if now,
- 2:32Speaker 3: if you have uncertainty, markets don't like uncertainty.
- 2:35Speaker 1: They like certainty.
- 2:36Speaker 3: You know, Donald Trump is gonna win, Okay, at least
- 2:38Speaker 3: we can price that in and we kind of know, Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 3: this is if you know Biden is gonna win. If
- 2:44Speaker 3: you don't really know who's gonna win, that would that
- 2:48Speaker 3: would add uncertainty to the market. Anytime the market in
- 2:52Speaker 3: the market, then the market, the stock market drops.
- 2:55Speaker 1: That's kind of like an easy way to understand things.
- 2:58Speaker 3: And I think if Biden us win a second term,
- 3:01Speaker 3: then that could potentially have even more uncertainty given his
- 3:07Speaker 3: health issues, different things that it cloudy's the war a
- 3:12Speaker 3: little bit clouds the water a little bit, So that
- 3:14Speaker 3: may that may be that may be part of the
- 3:18Speaker 3: reason for selling as well leading up to the election.
- 3:22Speaker 3: But yeah, it was an interesting trip to Capitol Hill.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I definitely would like to thank Representative Lauren Underwood for
- 3:29Speaker 3: inviting me as her guests. And I got to meet
- 3:33Speaker 3: with the Congressional Black Caulcids. I got to meet with
- 3:35Speaker 3: the head of the Democratic Committee. I got to yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 3: you know, add an introduction to Nancy Pelosi and AOC
- 3:43Speaker 3: and Representative Omar and Maxine Waters.
- 3:47Speaker 1: A bunch of other people.
- 3:49Speaker 3: For those that's asking why I did not meet with
- 3:52Speaker 3: any Republicans, this is an interesting situation.
- 3:58Speaker 1: So Early Legion. We've been around for five years.
- 4:01Speaker 3: We've had multiple politicians that have actually reached out to us.
- 4:05Speaker 3: We've never reached out to a politician, but we we
- 4:08Speaker 3: accept invitations from anybody. In the course of five years.
- 4:12Speaker 3: How many Republicans do you think I's ever reached out
- 4:14Speaker 3: to us?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Settle zero.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So I'm I would love to speak to Republicans. I
- 4:23Speaker 3: would love to interview Donald Trump. I would love to
- 4:25Speaker 3: have an inside conversation with the Republican Party. They just
- 4:30Speaker 3: haven't reached out. So if they reach out, then we'll
- 4:33Speaker 3: take We'll take it for sure. But until then, we're
- 4:36Speaker 3: gonna We're gonna entertain the conversations that are on our plate.
- 4:41Speaker 3: So for anybody that's wondering, But I'm still a registered independent.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I don't support any political party, but I do take
- 4:47Speaker 3: invitations for people that invite me different places. And the
- 4:51Speaker 3: invitation came from the Democratic Party, So I mean that's
- 4:55Speaker 3: the that's the answer for that, because I already know
- 4:57Speaker 3: that that's gonna you know, you weren't a MCGA hat
- 5:01Speaker 3: or Trump give the interview if that's is caveat. No,
- 5:05Speaker 3: I can't wear the MAGA hat, but I will so
- 5:10Speaker 3: on will be interested, Yeah, for sure, definitely, so on
- 5:12Speaker 3: for sure. But so briefly, I just want to talk
- 5:14Speaker 3: about the state of the Union, because yes, please ties
- 5:16Speaker 3: into the stock market. You know, it's one of these
- 5:20Speaker 3: things that Washington is a very interesting place and it's
- 5:24Speaker 3: very important, and you know, meeting with Representative Underwood and
- 5:30Speaker 3: she is part of she's on the chair of the
- 5:33Speaker 3: Appropriations Committee, so she was explaining the Appropriations Committee to me.
- 5:37Speaker 3: You know, so in Congress there's there's multiple different committees.
- 5:41Speaker 3: These committees are twenty thirty people. They're extremely powerful and
- 5:46Speaker 3: depending on what committee you're on, you have a tremendous influence.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So the Ways and Means Committee is the committee that
- 5:54Speaker 3: deals with taxation. They pretty much write the tax code.
- 5:57Speaker 3: It's about twenty thirty people. So if you think about it,
- 6:00Speaker 3: a country of three hundred million people or so, thirty
- 6:04Speaker 3: people really dictate taxes, right. But then our committee is
- 6:09Speaker 3: the Appropriations Committee. So that actually dictates where the tax
- 6:13Speaker 3: money goes. So that's another like you know, twenty thirty
- 6:17Speaker 3: people committee, And I asked how much money they were
- 6:20Speaker 3: responsible for deploying last year. I think it was like
- 6:22Speaker 3: two point three trillion trillion dollars. So she was telling
- 6:27Speaker 3: me about you know, healthcare and uh, farmland and homeland
- 6:33Speaker 3: security and a variety of different a variety of different aspects.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Cybersecurity very very big is the deployment of capital. So
- 6:45Speaker 3: understanding the dynamics of Washington, I think is extremely important
- 6:51Speaker 3: to really understanding business because they go hand in hand.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And if you watch this speech, the whole speech was
- 7:00Speaker 3: talking about different financial issues. Whether it was homeland security,
- 7:04Speaker 3: that's the financial issue, Whether it was wars with Ukraine,
- 7:07Speaker 3: the Ukraine Russia situation, that's the financial issue. That's billions
- 7:10Speaker 3: of dollars that he's actually asking Congress for. Whether it's
- 7:15Speaker 3: he talked about affordable homes giving a grant, I think
- 7:19Speaker 3: it's like five hundred dollars something like that, thousand dollars
- 7:21Speaker 3: to everybody to trying to buy a home. That's obviously
- 7:24Speaker 3: a financial issue. So many different things that student loans,
- 7:28Speaker 3: financial issue, So everything that is actually being talked about
- 7:32Speaker 3: on the political side. It all dates back to financial issues.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Money and if you are involved in it as an
- 7:41Speaker 3: investor or an entrepreneur, then you're able to actually honor
- 7:46Speaker 3: obviously benefit from it. Right So, extremely enlightening day. As
- 7:55Speaker 3: I said, I got to meet with some people that
- 7:58Speaker 3: were very helpful, helping me understand things a little bit
- 8:02Speaker 3: further than my original understanding of things, and I think
- 8:09Speaker 3: that it was something that was definitely an eye opening experience.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I think let's pull back the layers a little bit
- 8:17Speaker 2: because a lot of people may have watched it on TV,
- 8:19Speaker 2: you don't really have an understanding of it. You were
- 8:21Speaker 2: inside those chambers. I think we've I'm thinking a tour
- 8:24Speaker 2: inside that before. Never obviously never been to a City
- 8:26Speaker 2: of Union address, which is very rare moment in time.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So to talk about the atmosphere inside the room as
- 8:33Speaker 2: the speech is happening, right like, because mostly I even
- 8:35Speaker 2: have to explain it to my kids, Well, why are
- 8:37Speaker 2: they clapping, Why are they not clapping, Why are they standing?
- 8:39Speaker 1: Why are they not standing?
- 8:40Speaker 2: Like, talk about those dynamics inside of that room.
- 8:42Speaker 3: State of Union is very similar to a hockey game,
- 8:47Speaker 3: so it's a lot more entertaining in person than it
- 8:51Speaker 3: is on TV. I've watched Stated Year Got You for years, right,
- 8:54Speaker 3: and you know you watch it, you doze in and off.
- 8:57Speaker 3: It's not really it's not the most exciting thing in
- 8:59Speaker 3: the world. But being there, the energy is crazy because
- 9:02Speaker 3: you got heckless. So people on the ground they about
- 9:04Speaker 3: to start fighting. Actually, like you're not the Maga people
- 9:08Speaker 3: versus the Democrats. They arguing with each other in each
- 9:11Speaker 3: other's faces. Then you got random hecklers that get thrown out,
- 9:16Speaker 3: people booing the president, people chairing every everything, every word
- 9:20Speaker 3: that he says, They cheering. So it's like, it's a
- 9:24Speaker 3: very entertaining it's two and a half hours. I honestly
- 9:28Speaker 3: thought that I would probably be falling asleep after the
- 9:30Speaker 3: first thirty minutes, but I actually stayed up. I was
- 9:33Speaker 3: very alert for the whole thing because it was entertaining.
- 9:36Speaker 3: It was very entertaining. They take your cell phone so
- 9:39Speaker 3: you can't you can't coordinate that inside.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 9:43Speaker 3: It's one of these things that you don't have a
- 9:46Speaker 3: full appreciation for until you're in it. And another thing,
- 9:49Speaker 3: as far as the networking thing, never turned down an invitation.
- 9:53Speaker 3: That's a lesson. When we first got the invitation, we
- 9:56Speaker 3: actually wasn't going to go because there was only one
- 9:59Speaker 3: ticket and they couldn't get us two tickets. That would
- 10:01Speaker 3: have been a tremendous mistake because just me going opened
- 10:06Speaker 3: up opportunity to the door.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Exactly. This is a lesson, folks, So never turned down
- 10:12Speaker 1: an opportunity.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it wasn't a flip or coin thing. It was like, Yo,
- 10:17Speaker 2: do you want to go? Yeah, I'll go, but I
- 10:19Speaker 2: wasn't go. And I think I text you like six
- 10:22Speaker 2: toady in the morning. I think I said I text
- 10:23Speaker 2: you like rep to set. It doesn't even need to
- 10:27Speaker 2: be spoken. A great job represent. I want to ask
- 10:30Speaker 2: you this, though I don't know nobody asked you this.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So like when you're in that chamber, right, you got
- 10:35Speaker 2: to be mindful of what you're wearing. Right, So if
- 10:38Speaker 2: you were like a blue tie or red, like you
- 10:40Speaker 2: could be synonymous with one side or the other. Did
- 10:43Speaker 2: you think you didn't wear a tie? Was that intentional?
- 10:45Speaker 2: I didn't wear a tie.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I didn't even think about that. That's a good point.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's a good point. I didn't wear a tie. Honestly.
- 10:53Speaker 3: The reason why I didn't wear tie is because I
- 10:55Speaker 3: knew it was going to be a long day. We
- 10:56Speaker 3: started at ten o'clock in the morning, ended at twelve
- 10:58Speaker 3: o'clock at night, and I get uncomfortable, like with a
- 11:02Speaker 3: tie for twelve hours at a time. So I knew,
- 11:05Speaker 3: from a comfortability standpoint, I did not want to wear
- 11:10Speaker 3: a tie because you know, it was gonna hurt my neck.
- 11:14Speaker 3: But I also I also wanted to have some level
- 11:17Speaker 3: of business casual to it to like Fat Joe. Everybody
- 11:22Speaker 3: doesn't in their own way. Fat Joe had sneakers on,
- 11:24Speaker 3: so that was his way. I kind of, you know,
- 11:27Speaker 3: I guess representing hip hop culture and I just wanted
- 11:30Speaker 3: to feel like, you know, I'm gonna still be respectful.
- 11:32Speaker 3: So I had a suit on, I had shoes on,
- 11:34Speaker 3: but I want no tie because we are still, you know,
- 11:39Speaker 3: renegades in this situation, and I.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Wanted to kind of you know the set that do
- 11:46Speaker 1: that and be mindful of it. But I did.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I wore blue, but it wasn't for the Democrat. It
- 11:51Speaker 3: was just that was just a It did not go
- 11:54Speaker 3: into my mind. But when I saw a Fat Joe's tie,
- 11:56Speaker 3: it was I saw a red tie, so.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Come it off.
- 11:59Speaker 2: The shoes all was like Greg you anonymous with the
- 12:03Speaker 2: Republican Party.
- 12:05Speaker 4: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 12:08Speaker 4: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 12:12Speaker 4: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 12:17Speaker 4: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 12:21Speaker 4: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 12:24Speaker 4: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 12:28Speaker 4: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 12:33Speaker 4: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 12:36Speaker 4: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 12:40Speaker 4: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 12:44Speaker 4: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 12:48Speaker 4: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 12:51Speaker 4: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's Law
- 13:00Speaker 4: cause border and families will be protected.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
