- 0:00Speaker 1: Fuston's radio station one oh five point nine Radio Folkston.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This is Kevin Sports very Daily on Radio Folkston, bringing
- 0:17Speaker 2: you the Folkston and High Sports show. On today show,
- 0:25Speaker 2: it's a roundup of the usual suspects. We've got a
- 0:27Speaker 2: local football, a rugby hockey. We've got a bit of
- 0:31Speaker 2: news about Sunday's Canterbury ten mile road race, and we've
- 0:45Speaker 2: got some fantastic news about the Folkston Supports Center. Have
- 0:54Speaker 2: you heard, Well, it is a cause for celebration. So
- 1:00Speaker 2: we're gonna play this lovely song. But the sports center
- 1:09Speaker 2: is going to reopen as a sports center. How good
- 1:14Speaker 2: is that? So there's only one song to play, and
- 1:19Speaker 2: there's this cool on the Gang and celebration. Have a
- 1:21Speaker 2: little dance around the kitchen, little dance around the office.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Let's have a losing my voice already, Okay, So I
- 1:30Speaker 2: back and enjoy this and we catch up with you
- 1:32Speaker 2: after cooling. The Gang and Celebration has cool on the
- 1:58Speaker 2: Gang there celebration what of course for a celebration. We
- 2:01Speaker 2: have today as the news about the Folks and Sports Center.
- 2:15Speaker 2: But in case you hadn't heard, it was released when
- 2:18Speaker 2: I picked it up by a Kent Online yesterday that
- 2:21Speaker 2: the Folks and Sports Center have accepted a bid put
- 2:24Speaker 2: forward to the administrators and it will be reopened for
- 2:28Speaker 2: business once again as a sports center. I mean, how
- 2:32Speaker 2: good is that for the town? I mean, the sports
- 2:35Speaker 2: center it kind of suddenly closed and it took us
- 2:38Speaker 2: all by storm back in July. It was just the
- 2:42Speaker 2: whole shock for the whole of Folkston. Now, the administrators
- 2:46Speaker 2: have not released the name of the new owners until
- 2:49Speaker 2: the final paperwork has been finished, but I can hear
- 2:53Speaker 2: the sigh of relief being echoed around Folkston, especially as
- 2:56Speaker 2: we know now that the site won't be turned into
- 2:59Speaker 2: more houses, so well, no doubt as further news is released,
- 3:05Speaker 2: the town of Folcus then will be buzzing, knowing that
- 3:07Speaker 2: it's much love facility used by generations in the past
- 3:11Speaker 2: will not be lost forever. So it's kind of a
- 3:13Speaker 2: watch this space. And I've just been sitting here thinking
- 3:17Speaker 2: of during that song at some of the sports that
- 3:21Speaker 2: will hopefully get back and up and running down there.
- 3:26Speaker 2: One big one is the ski slope. Now, I'm definitely
- 3:29Speaker 2: going to get a clear gravner from the ski club
- 3:32Speaker 2: racing ski Club in I'm sure she'd love to come
- 3:36Speaker 2: in and tell us how they're progressing, because they've been
- 3:40Speaker 2: soldiering on. They've been traveling up to Chatham just to
- 3:43Speaker 2: kind of train. We've got the swimming the swimming pool
- 3:49Speaker 2: and the junior pool. How many how many children have
- 3:53Speaker 2: learned to swim in that pool. I'm my eldest son
- 3:58Speaker 2: is I don't know, is over forty now, but he
- 4:01Speaker 2: learned to swim in that pool. So it just shows
- 4:04Speaker 2: how important it is. I mean, all the people. They've
- 4:06Speaker 2: got the gym there, they'll have the classes, the zumba.
- 4:10Speaker 2: We had a couple of zumba ladies in from the
- 4:12Speaker 2: sports center before it closed down. How good will it
- 4:16Speaker 2: be to have all that back. It'd be just fantastic,
- 4:19Speaker 2: wasn't it. So let's some I don't know, let's get
- 4:22Speaker 2: over the initial excitement and let's be patient, and let's
- 4:25Speaker 2: look out for the press releases. And it's going to
- 4:28Speaker 2: take a bit of time, if it does happen, to
- 4:30Speaker 2: tide it all up and get it up to the
- 4:33Speaker 2: health and safety specs that we need these days for
- 4:35Speaker 2: indoor sports centers. So in the meantime, let's relax and
- 4:39Speaker 2: listen to a little bit of a real young and
- 4:41Speaker 2: your game.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Oh Will Young there your game?
- 5:09Speaker 2: Haven't heard that for a while? In there, I haven't
- 5:13Speaker 2: heard of Will Young froll.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I'll come to think about it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Okay, So let's start with a quick roundup of last
- 5:19Speaker 2: week's local football folks in a Victor beat Camvy Island
- 5:23Speaker 2: four to two with a hat trick from a returning
- 5:25Speaker 2: striker yes he's back, Ada Yusef and a screamer from
- 5:29Speaker 2: Dean Rance. So in Victor are currently in tenth place,
- 5:33Speaker 2: twelve points off the playoffs. Now they've got another home
- 5:36Speaker 2: game on Saturday against Horsham who are hugging the fifth
- 5:39Speaker 2: place in the league. So don't forget. The winning team
- 5:42Speaker 2: gets automatic promotion and the following four have to fight
- 5:47Speaker 2: it out in the playoffs. Now for the full report
- 5:49Speaker 2: on Saturday's game, and then please tune in on Saturday
- 5:53Speaker 2: to the ADYDWKS, a sports show between ten and eleven,
- 5:56Speaker 2: and a little bit later on I'll be telling you
- 5:58Speaker 2: about a special guest got coming in and about a
- 6:01Speaker 2: special match that's going on on Sunday. Anyway, Switching to
- 6:06Speaker 2: hive Town now and you have to feel for them,
- 6:08Speaker 2: scrapping away at the bottom of the league. Their opponents
- 6:11Speaker 2: last Saturday were third place to Margate. Well, I've went
- 6:15Speaker 2: one till up. Margate pulled one back one all. Iive
- 6:19Speaker 2: then went two one up, but conceded in the ninety
- 6:22Speaker 2: second minute to make it to all. Now this is
- 6:25Speaker 2: the painful bit. They conceded again to lose the game
- 6:28Speaker 2: three two in the tenth Yes, in the tenth minute
- 6:32Speaker 2: of time added on. I mean, add deflating must that
- 6:35Speaker 2: have been for the lads there losing three points like that?
- 6:38Speaker 2: I mean they are doing their best and they need
- 6:41Speaker 2: to get the town of Hive behind them to get
- 6:45Speaker 2: up that table. And well, as Grieves used to say,
- 6:48Speaker 2: it's a funny old game anyway. This Saturday there are
- 6:51Speaker 2: more issues at stake as they travel away to Little
- 6:54Speaker 2: Hampton who are fourth from bottom, four points ahead of
- 6:58Speaker 2: Hive to stop the gap becoming even greater. Wouldn't it
- 7:02Speaker 2: be nice to see them come home with three points
- 7:05Speaker 2: this week? So good up to have on Saturday now.
- 7:10Speaker 2: In the Kent County League A Premier Division, Hawkins slipped
- 7:13Speaker 2: up a little bit, losing four to three away at Bexley,
- 7:17Speaker 2: dropping them down to a fourth place. This Saturday, they
- 7:20Speaker 2: are at home to Tenendon who are twelve, the Romney
- 7:24Speaker 2: didn't have a game as their opponents were involved in
- 7:26Speaker 2: a cup game. But they're back in action on Saturday
- 7:29Speaker 2: away to a Ramsgate Athletic who actually play at Ramsgate
- 7:34Speaker 2: Town's Southwood Stadium over there, so that game should be
- 7:38Speaker 2: on without any problem. It's got a synthetic pitch over there.
- 7:42Speaker 2: New Romney remain at the top of the table whilst
- 7:45Speaker 2: the opponents of Ramsgate Athletic are ninth and unfortunately the
- 7:50Speaker 2: Invictor women's team lost two one at home to Hollands
- 7:52Speaker 2: A Blair in the Divisional Cup. Their next game is
- 7:56Speaker 2: at the Alkaline Stadium on the second of feb against
- 7:59Speaker 2: a Maidstone United. So, as I say, we will have
- 8:02Speaker 2: a little bit of breaking news coming later on in
- 8:04Speaker 2: the show. There is a big special charity game going
- 8:07Speaker 2: on at Ashford and Adrian on Saturday. Has got one
- 8:12Speaker 2: of the organizers in to have a chat, so make
- 8:15Speaker 2: sure you tune into that, okay. So next coming up,
- 8:18Speaker 2: we've got Alicia Keys and fall.
- 8:20Speaker 1: In Folkstone's local radio station one oh five point nine
- 8:26Speaker 1: point nine Radio Folkstone.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Thank you for Fallen.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And hell.
- 8:41Speaker 1: With the.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Sometimes Y's there a song called Falling Okay, So I'm
- 9:03Speaker 2: going to divert a little bit from sport just for
- 9:05Speaker 2: the moment, because I've been picking up on this film
- 9:09Speaker 2: about Bob Dylan. Any Bob Dylan fans out there, Well,
- 9:14Speaker 2: it's funny because he's not so popular over here, but
- 9:18Speaker 2: back in America, back in the day, he was massive
- 9:21Speaker 2: and it was a little bit of a strange style
- 9:23Speaker 2: of music, wasn't it. He was more folky and then
- 9:27Speaker 2: but in the end he did go electric. And I
- 9:31Speaker 2: just imagine Bob Dylan somewhere like Woodstock, you know where
- 9:34Speaker 2: there's absolutely hundreds of thousands of people just sitting around
- 9:39Speaker 2: the fields listening to Anyway, they've done a film about him.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I think the word is biopic. I'm not sure now,
- 9:47Speaker 2: but it's a film about a personality. I mean, they've
- 9:51Speaker 2: done it before. You might have seen the film about
- 9:54Speaker 2: Elton John. There was a film about Whitney Houston. There
- 9:59Speaker 2: was that about Freddie Mercury and Queen that was really good,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and obviously there's been one about Elvis. So now it's
- 10:05Speaker 2: Bob Dylan's turn. Well, the film is actually on at
- 10:11Speaker 2: the Silver Screen in Folks. Then if you want to
- 10:13Speaker 2: find out all about it, it's on tonight at half
- 10:15Speaker 2: past seven and tomorrow night at half past seven. It's
- 10:18Speaker 2: on Saturdays on twice at twenty past three and half
- 10:21Speaker 2: past seven. Now the film is called a Complete Unknown
- 10:27Speaker 2: and you just know that the lyrics are somewhere in
- 10:30Speaker 2: a song, don't you. So sit back and have a
- 10:33Speaker 2: little listen to this. I bet you haven't heard this
- 10:34Speaker 2: one for a long time, so I might see if
- 10:37Speaker 2: I can get down. I do want to see this film,
- 10:39Speaker 2: just see what it's all about. So is Bob Dylan
- 10:42Speaker 2: and are like a rolling stone once upart a time?
- 10:55Speaker 2: If they're so fast? Do the Bilterdame and your brains.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Used to be some news and.
- 11:08Speaker 2: But that's popped in and there are we going to
- 11:10Speaker 2: fade that away? Because I didn't realize it's six minutes long.
- 11:13Speaker 2: So it just gives you a chance to make your
- 11:15Speaker 2: mind up whether you like Dylan or not. But the
- 11:19Speaker 2: film is on at the Silver Screen tonight, Friday and
- 11:23Speaker 2: twice on Saturday. So if you're a Dylan fan, get
- 11:27Speaker 2: down and have a little look, and if you get
- 11:30Speaker 2: a minute, just tell me what it's like. Web's worth
- 11:32Speaker 2: going to see. Okay, So we're going to crack on
- 11:35Speaker 2: with the news about our old quiz night. We've got
- 11:39Speaker 2: a radio focus and big quiz coming up that's on
- 11:41Speaker 2: the twenty second of February and it's at the Three Heels.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's only five pounded person, we've up to six in
- 11:49Speaker 2: a team, and there's cash prizes for first and second place,
- 11:54Speaker 2: plus an awesome raffle. The big things goes to Pull
- 11:58Speaker 2: Reynolds really for putting this all together. I mean it's
- 12:01Speaker 2: it's easy going saying I always have a quiz night,
- 12:03Speaker 2: but there's a lot of work involved. You know. I've
- 12:05Speaker 2: been a quiz master at several quizzes over the years.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I've got two coming up this year, and I do
- 12:13Speaker 2: the easy bit. I say, look, you just work out
- 12:16Speaker 2: all the questions and I'll read them out. And so
- 12:20Speaker 2: that's the easy bit for me. So I don't forget
- 12:23Speaker 2: second twenty second of February, Folks and Radio Station is
- 12:26Speaker 2: another a quiz at the Three Heels. If you want
- 12:29Speaker 2: to get in touch, message to the Radio Folks on
- 12:31Speaker 2: Facebook page, you drop us on WhatsApp on O one
- 12:34Speaker 2: three to oh three double two one five nine, or
- 12:37Speaker 2: send an email to studio at radio Folkson dot com.
- 12:41Speaker 2: It's dead easy to get in touch these days, isn't it?
- 12:43Speaker 2: So just click on Facebook and send us a message
- 12:45Speaker 2: say yep, I want a team. Okay, time for some
- 12:48Speaker 2: rugby news now. Folks in firse fifteen face top of
- 12:53Speaker 2: the table Old El Tamian's last Saturday and despite a
- 12:56Speaker 2: brave effort, found them to be just too strong, losing
- 12:59Speaker 2: the game by twenty seven points to five. This meant
- 13:02Speaker 2: that the Stones dropped from fourth place down to seventh.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Now the second fifteen on paper had a forteen nail
- 13:08Speaker 2: defeat away at top of the table Edinbridge. But the
- 13:11Speaker 2: result when I see a result of fourteen nil, I'll
- 13:16Speaker 2: get along bells. Really the result normally means that it
- 13:19Speaker 2: was a walkover win for the opponents, which might mean
- 13:22Speaker 2: that folks and second let's get it right. The folks
- 13:26Speaker 2: and second to fifteen conceded the game. The Saturday they're
- 13:31Speaker 2: due to a travel to Maystone to play Weavering Warriors.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Still be a good news. The ladies team had a
- 13:37Speaker 2: brilliant win in a high scoring game, beat in Tunbridge
- 13:40Speaker 2: Wells by fifty five points to thirty one. This pushed
- 13:43Speaker 2: them up to second place in the table. Their next
- 13:46Speaker 2: fixture is on Sunday, the ninth of December. December of February.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I was looking at the next song actually, and I'll
- 13:55Speaker 2: tell you it's called step Back in Times. That's exactly
- 13:57Speaker 2: why I did that. I'll step back to December. Okay.
- 14:00Speaker 2: The next fixture is on Sunday, ninth of February when
- 14:03Speaker 2: they welcome Bottom Placed the Maidstone Ladies to the Burlington Fields.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So yeah, it's time to ramp up a bit we had,
- 14:09Speaker 2: So let's light things up a bit with a bit
- 14:11Speaker 2: of Kylie and step back in time. That's a bit
- 14:54Speaker 2: of Live Year, isn't it. That's a Kylie step back
- 14:57Speaker 2: in time and without further ado, we go straight on
- 15:00Speaker 2: to pet Shot Boys and go west. But as the
- 15:35Speaker 2: Petshop Boys go West, that's from nineteen ninety three and
- 15:38Speaker 2: certainly got some long songs in the playlist today. So
- 15:41Speaker 2: I'm going to crack on with a bit of sport
- 15:43Speaker 2: about some hockey news now. Well, last Saturday I decided
- 15:47Speaker 2: to pop down to the Three Hills to watch the
- 15:50Speaker 2: Men's Optimist First eleven take on the Men's Second eleven,
- 15:55Speaker 2: as they are now both in the same division. The
- 15:59Speaker 2: previous game between these two sides ended in a drawer
- 16:01Speaker 2: but this time a former guest to the show, tom
- 16:04Speaker 2: Boone was the difference, as he scored both the goals
- 16:07Speaker 2: in a two neil victory for the First eleven. Now,
- 16:11Speaker 2: the Seconds put on a good show but never really
- 16:13Speaker 2: troubled the first team keeper, first team player and another
- 16:16Speaker 2: former guest to the show, Joe Tolhurst, he was playing.
- 16:19Speaker 2: He told me that he thought they should have had
- 16:21Speaker 2: a couple more goals actually, and I think he's right.
- 16:24Speaker 2: But the Seconds was solid and gave the first a
- 16:26Speaker 2: very competitive game. And he added, and this is really important.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Good point is it's a testament to how strong the
- 16:32Speaker 2: club is at the moment. Overall, though, it was a
- 16:35Speaker 2: steady week for the Ops, and it it reads like this,
- 16:38Speaker 2: the whole team, the whole club. They played thirteen, they
- 16:43Speaker 2: won seven, they lost six. They scored the goals four
- 16:47Speaker 2: was twenty five and goals against was a sixteen, so
- 16:50Speaker 2: they certainly banged a few goals. That weekend. Hilight of
- 16:54Speaker 2: the men's side was a six to one victory for
- 16:56Speaker 2: the seventh team, Matt Carter and Matt Goodwin scoring two
- 16:59Speaker 2: a piece, with one each from Simon Baker and Dan Kennedy.
- 17:03Speaker 2: The Ladies first eleven were up against a very strong
- 17:06Speaker 2: Holcombe side, but Hannah Harvey she scored the solitary goal
- 17:10Speaker 2: for the ladies and gave them a one nil victory.
- 17:12Speaker 2: So well done to the first eleven there Now the
- 17:15Speaker 2: only other victory for the ladies came from the third eleven,
- 17:18Speaker 2: who beat Mardin Russett's one nil thanks to a goal
- 17:21Speaker 2: from m Pullan. However, on Sunday he was exciting day.
- 17:25Speaker 2: On Sunday, I wish I'd gone band there. Actually the
- 17:28Speaker 2: ladies over thirty five's They welcomed burn Ash in the
- 17:32Speaker 2: fourth round of the England Master's Tier two Cup. Now,
- 17:37Speaker 2: with the winning at the time three to one, looks
- 17:40Speaker 2: like they took their foot off the peddler a little
- 17:42Speaker 2: bit because the final score was actually four all. So
- 17:46Speaker 2: onto a penalty shootout. Now, penalty shootouts often provide a
- 17:50Speaker 2: hero or in this case, a heroin, and that's exactly
- 17:53Speaker 2: what happened. Goalie and another form of guest to the show.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Amy Bumstead save the first two penalties, but the Burnash
- 18:01Speaker 2: goalie stepped up and did the same. However, Amy saved
- 18:04Speaker 2: a third penalty and Nikki Ball stepped up to clinch
- 18:07Speaker 2: the victory three two before credit goes to Amy. Amy's
- 18:11Speaker 2: heroics in goal. Now mean that the ladies over thirty
- 18:14Speaker 2: five side progressed to the fifth round of the Cup.
- 18:17Speaker 2: So let's keep an eye on that and watch this space. Okay. Now,
- 18:21Speaker 2: on Saturday, we found an Ace of Bass song in
- 18:26Speaker 2: the playlist Adrian the Night and they weren't a one
- 18:30Speaker 2: hit wonder. They were well if you like, I think
- 18:33Speaker 2: they were a two hit wonder. So the song we
- 18:35Speaker 2: played was the Sign, but I finally found this other one.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I think this is worth a play. This is Ace
- 18:40Speaker 2: of Bass and all that she wants. Take that and
- 19:02Speaker 2: Lulu there. You know, I love that song. It's a
- 19:05Speaker 2: great combination to see. Take that and Lulah really ramped
- 19:09Speaker 2: it up right of the end. It didn't see well,
- 19:11Speaker 2: great ambassadors. She's been for the music industry, brilliant. Okay,
- 19:18Speaker 2: So times getting on, and I just want to tell
- 19:21Speaker 2: you about Sunday. Now, Sunday, we'll see me on the
- 19:25Speaker 2: mic for the sold out of Canterbury ten mile road
- 19:29Speaker 2: race organized by in Victor, East Kent Athletics Club. Now,
- 19:33Speaker 2: this race is a good starting block for athletes taking
- 19:36Speaker 2: on the challenge of a spring Marathon. The race headquarters
- 19:39Speaker 2: is at the Canterbury christ Church Sports Center, starting at
- 19:43Speaker 2: nine o'clock as an early start. The course is run
- 19:47Speaker 2: on the Quiet Lanes south of Canterbury and I seem
- 19:50Speaker 2: to remember, and I can tell you this, I have
- 19:53Speaker 2: run it right. I've done this on a couple of times.
- 19:56Speaker 2: There is a couple of cheeky little hills in there.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Organizers always say, oh yeah, it's very undulating, but don't
- 20:03Speaker 2: believe them. It's herely. Undulating means herely, so runners beware.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Now have I said this race is sold out? So
- 20:13Speaker 2: I think that's well. I think they were allowed a thousand.
- 20:16Speaker 2: You know, they stopped entries during the week and they
- 20:19Speaker 2: stopped transfers as well during the week, so it looks
- 20:22Speaker 2: like it's going to be pretty busy. I'm going to
- 20:24Speaker 2: be calling out a lot of names and a lot
- 20:26Speaker 2: of clubs. Now, if you want to watch the race
- 20:28Speaker 2: somewhere out in the course, if you go to Canterbury
- 20:31Speaker 2: ten dot co dot UK, there's a link to a
- 20:34Speaker 2: map showing you exactly where they run. Alrightio, So now
- 20:40Speaker 2: on Saturday's Sports show, I hope to be co hosting
- 20:44Speaker 2: with Adrian and but we're going to be joined by
- 20:47Speaker 2: a special guest called a Taya Marie. Now Taya will
- 20:51Speaker 2: be telling us about a celebrity football charity match which
- 20:54Speaker 2: has been played at Ashford United's ground this Sunday and
- 20:57Speaker 2: it's in aid of a very special four year old boy,
- 21:01Speaker 2: to Leslie, who's fighting a rare stage for cancer. How
- 21:06Speaker 2: tough is that? Sometimes you take life for granted, don't you,
- 21:09Speaker 2: and then you come across a story like this. Anyway,
- 21:12Speaker 2: So tune in between ten and eleven because I'll be
- 21:14Speaker 2: interested to find out what's going on that'll be on
- 21:17Speaker 2: Saturday and when they'd be to find out it's a
- 21:19Speaker 2: celebrity to match. So I just wonder who's going to
- 21:24Speaker 2: be out on the pitch there on Sunday. Well, now,
- 21:28Speaker 2: if you go into anywhere to a game over the weekend,
- 21:32Speaker 2: please check the weather. All right, We're getting used to
- 21:35Speaker 2: this checking the weather now. But there's a cheeky storm
- 21:38Speaker 2: coming on the way, storm e owen is it? It
- 21:42Speaker 2: must be a Welsh storm and you know this is
- 21:47Speaker 2: high winds the forecast. Hang on, I've got the yeah
- 21:50Speaker 2: and folks in well today it's no tomorrow, it's pretty
- 21:54Speaker 2: wet and windy nearly all day tomorrow Sunday. If you're
- 21:58Speaker 2: going to a match, what it's bit where it doesn't
- 22:00Speaker 2: get windy till the afternoon. So if you're going to
- 22:02Speaker 2: anywhere with an afternoon kickoff, please have a little text
- 22:07Speaker 2: or phone phone the club up because it's not always
- 22:11Speaker 2: what goes on the pitch, you know. If you remember
- 22:13Speaker 2: quite a few years ago, the stand the roof stand
- 22:16Speaker 2: blew off folks in Victor and ended up on the
- 22:18Speaker 2: polar ground. So things like that can happen as well.
- 22:22Speaker 2: You know, things can collapse, buildings can get blown onto
- 22:25Speaker 2: the pitch, and we're getting used to these storms now.
- 22:29Speaker 2: But please be wary, also be weary when you go out.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Only go out if you have to check the weather forecast.
- 22:36Speaker 2: You know, the safety hazards. I mean, how many bins
- 22:38Speaker 2: that have you lost or seen flying up the road
- 22:40Speaker 2: at twenty mile an hour when they've had these winds,
- 22:44Speaker 2: So really really take a special care. And of course
- 22:48Speaker 2: there on the roads that don't go out on the
- 22:50Speaker 2: road unless you really really have to. It's as simple
- 22:52Speaker 2: as that. Okay, So I'm going to finish off with
- 22:54Speaker 2: the song. I might be just popping in at the
- 22:56Speaker 2: end of this song. And now this is going to
- 22:58Speaker 2: a song is a special need to this song and
- 23:01Speaker 2: because well I'll tell you what, I'll play it and
- 23:04Speaker 2: then I'll tell you what it means to me.
- 23:18Speaker 1: What last.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Okay, that was take My Breath Away. And the connection
- 23:32Speaker 2: I've got with this song is it was the group
- 23:35Speaker 2: called a Berlin. And do you know what, I'm off
- 23:38Speaker 2: to Berlin on Monday. Yep, me and missus Ferrett, we've
- 23:44Speaker 2: booked up a little mini break. We're going to Berlin
- 23:47Speaker 2: and we're going to see on the Thursday, we're going
- 23:50Speaker 2: to see a guy called Andre Rio. Now, for those
- 23:55Speaker 2: of you that don't haven't heard of Andre then please
- 23:59Speaker 2: just go just humor me google him. And what I've
- 24:04Speaker 2: noticed over the years, right, people's record choices changed, don't they.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I mean, I love listening to sixties, seventies, eighties, and
- 24:14Speaker 2: some of the nineties is pretty good. I'm learning about
- 24:16Speaker 2: that now and this volunteering job here on Radio Focus
- 24:21Speaker 2: and gives me a chance to play some of the
- 24:23Speaker 2: songs that I really enjoy it. But as you get older,
- 24:27Speaker 2: your music tastes change. And Andre Rier has got a
- 24:31Speaker 2: fantastic orchestra and he gets loads and loads of local
- 24:35Speaker 2: dancers and they all get together and they You're looking
- 24:39Speaker 2: at the stage, expected him to come on the stage,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and all of a sudden, all these dancers come up
- 24:43Speaker 2: the aisle. Now, we've been to a concert once before
- 24:47Speaker 2: and that we saw him, believe it or not. That
- 24:49Speaker 2: was in Amsterdam and we loved it. Never seen him
- 24:52Speaker 2: in England. So we're going over to Berlin on Monday,
- 24:57Speaker 2: coming back on Friday. So we're gonna have a great
- 25:01Speaker 2: time and I'll be thinking of you in the meantime.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Don't forget to tune in on Saturday to Adrian's Sports
- 25:07Speaker 2: Show where he has got a special guest and he
- 25:10Speaker 2: will be telling us about an awesome charity match coming
- 25:14Speaker 2: up at Ashford United on Sunday,
