- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York. He still Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: sim Own show on sevent tenoo.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, well it's Thursday already. It's not the greatest day,
- 0:13Speaker 2: a little rainy. It's gonna get colder. Yeah, it's been
- 0:16Speaker 2: a summer like but it's gonna get cold throughout the day.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It'll be down into the thirties tonight and then forties
- 0:22Speaker 2: tomorrow and fifties over the weekend. But the winter is over.
- 0:25Speaker 2: You're nine days away from spring. Spring begins in nine days,
- 0:30Speaker 2: So a lot to get to today. There's a lot
- 0:32Speaker 2: of Epstein fallout. A lot of people are suddenly leaving
- 0:35Speaker 2: their jobs, their businesses over Epstein. We'll get to that
- 0:38Speaker 2: coming up CNN. Totally humiliated. We'll get to the oscars,
- 0:42Speaker 2: we'll get to well, lots to talk about today. Now.
- 0:46Speaker 2: The latest in Iran. The Straits of Hormuz is the
- 0:49Speaker 2: big issue. Tankers trying to move through there. A couple
- 0:53Speaker 2: got hit. Now, this is gonna be tough to straighten
- 0:56Speaker 2: this out, but not that tough. It'll take it'll take
- 0:59Speaker 2: a week or so to get things going. The problem
- 1:02Speaker 2: is we've taken out the Iranian Navy, all sixty ships.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We didn't even think they had sixty ships, but we've
- 1:09Speaker 2: taken out the entire Uranian navy. It's non existent. Then
- 1:13Speaker 2: they had sixteen mine laying ships that could plant mines
- 1:17Speaker 2: in the bottom of the water. There those all sixteen
- 1:19Speaker 2: have been taken out. They're gone. Here's the other here's
- 1:24Speaker 2: the problem. Now. If they want to attack ships what's
- 1:27Speaker 2: left of the regime, they do it in two ways.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Speedboats loaded with dynamite that can just come out of nowhere,
- 1:34Speaker 2: and drones. Drones are the hardest thing to defend against
- 1:38Speaker 2: because we've taken out most of their missiles. Because missile
- 1:41Speaker 2: requires a launcher, you can see the launcher and blow
- 1:45Speaker 2: up all the launchers. A drone you can't see. It
- 1:47Speaker 2: could be hidden in a garage, hidden in a basement.
- 1:50Speaker 2: You're bring it out of the garage all of a sudden,
- 1:52Speaker 2: there it is in the air, and it's very hard
- 1:55Speaker 2: to stop. So there are a lot of drones left,
- 1:58Speaker 2: less and less every day. But that's the problem with
- 2:01Speaker 2: the ships. Now, it's going to take a while to
- 2:04Speaker 2: figure this out. They'll have to take out more drones.
- 2:06Speaker 2: The only good news with the drones, you can see
- 2:08Speaker 2: where they came from and take out those locations price
- 2:13Speaker 2: of oil will go up as a result. We're not
- 2:15Speaker 2: that dependent on these Rainian oil coming for the Straits
- 2:19Speaker 2: of Hormus. China is extremely dependent on it, India almost
- 2:23Speaker 2: totally dependent on it. It's twenty percent of the world's oil.
- 2:27Speaker 2: And again, we got all the oil we need right here,
- 2:29Speaker 2: so we're not dependent on it. Just to get the
- 2:32Speaker 2: price down, a number of nations have decided to open
- 2:36Speaker 2: up their strategic petroleum reserve and release a couple hundred
- 2:41Speaker 2: million gallons into the market just to drive the price down.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You don't need to do it, but they decided to
- 2:46Speaker 2: do it just to lower the price. The leader of Iran,
- 2:51Speaker 2: the new one, the Iatola's Sun. Normally, if somebody you're
- 2:58Speaker 2: the new leader of the country, you've just been voted
- 3:00Speaker 2: the leader of the country, you'd be so thrilled, you'd
- 3:03Speaker 2: be so this has got to be the worst thing
- 3:05Speaker 2: had ever happened to anybody, because you know, you've probably
- 3:07Speaker 2: got two weeks to live now. He was not there
- 3:11Speaker 2: for his induction ceremony, his installation ceremony two days ago.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Many many people showed up for it except him. He
- 3:18Speaker 2: wasn't there, and word is that he's in very bad ship.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Word is he still in a coma and he had
- 3:26Speaker 2: his leg blown off in one of those original strikes.
- 3:30Speaker 2: His leg has gone amputated. He's still in a coma.
- 3:33Speaker 2: He's got terrible facial lacerations, so you won't see him
- 3:39Speaker 2: for a while. He did put out a statement, but
- 3:41Speaker 2: it's kind of like a Joe Biden's statement. You don't
- 3:43Speaker 2: know who actually put it out. You know, Biden couldn't
- 3:45Speaker 2: have put it out, but somebody wrote it up and
- 3:48Speaker 2: used the auto pen. So this is the same kind
- 3:51Speaker 2: of deal. Now, what do we have to worry about. Well,
- 3:55Speaker 2: there's a couple of threats on the horizon besides the
- 3:58Speaker 2: Straits of Hormuse, and by the way, the Iranians have
- 4:01Speaker 2: expanded that bombing and into the Persian Gulf, so there's
- 4:06Speaker 2: striking ships wherever they can. But again that'll be mopped
- 4:10Speaker 2: up and cleaned up in a week or so. But
- 4:12Speaker 2: the things they're worried about right now cyber attacks here
- 4:17Speaker 2: in this country. Cyber attacks. The worst thing that could
- 4:20Speaker 2: target be our banking system, electrical grid. This is something
- 4:26Speaker 2: scary thought, but we faced this before. They've tried this before,
- 4:30Speaker 2: so we know a little more about how to block it.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Sleeper cells that could be in this country, terrors, sleeper
- 4:35Speaker 2: cells that could be activated. That's a problem. You've had
- 4:40Speaker 2: this wide open border for the last four years, millions
- 4:43Speaker 2: poured across and that's where the sleeper cells would come through.
- 4:46Speaker 2: That wide open border. The big threat that they're getting
- 4:49Speaker 2: through intelligence. This doesn't mean it's real, but intelligence sources
- 4:54Speaker 2: are reporting it. The threat is that there'll be drone
- 4:56Speaker 2: strikes on California. This will come from ships, boats off shore.
- 5:03Speaker 2: The drones would be launched from there. These are unmanned
- 5:07Speaker 2: drones and they can be controlled from thousands of miles away.
- 5:11Speaker 2: The ships, the boats, they're not ships, they're just boats,
- 5:15Speaker 2: can be controlled from miles away. They're not even manned.
- 5:18Speaker 2: They can be controlled from millions of miles away. So
- 5:21Speaker 2: they're very worried about that drone attacks on California. So
- 5:26Speaker 2: FBI everybody looking for any sign of anything like that.
- 5:30Speaker 2: The President keeps getting attacked. That is mixed messaging, you know,
- 5:34Speaker 2: it makes all these different statements. He's always speaking to
- 5:37Speaker 2: the press wherever he is, and some of the messaging
- 5:40Speaker 2: on Iran is it's contradictory. That's the big complaint. Well,
- 5:45Speaker 2: that's actually good. Mixed messaging contradictory, not clear, that's good
- 5:49Speaker 2: for the enemy. You don't want to be clear. You
- 5:51Speaker 2: don't want to come on television publicly say here's exactly
- 5:55Speaker 2: what we're going to do. Here's exactly when we're going
- 5:59Speaker 2: to pull out. You never want the enemy to know that.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So the mixed messaging might annoy the media, but it's
- 6:05Speaker 2: great as far as handling the enemy. The other attack, well,
- 6:09Speaker 2: you know, he hasn't clearly explained why we're there. He
- 6:12Speaker 2: hasn't explained if you need this, explain to you something
- 6:16Speaker 2: really wrong with you. I mean you you're taking out
- 6:17Speaker 2: the most evil, brutal, awful leader in the world. You're
- 6:22Speaker 2: taking out the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world.
- 6:25Speaker 2: If you need to explain to you why you would
- 6:26Speaker 2: do that, I think you need a lot of help there.
- 6:30Speaker 2: So we'll keep you up on Iran. It's day day
- 6:36Speaker 2: twelve today, or was it day thirteen today, something like that,
- 6:40Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer. Of course, Blumenthal referring it to it as
- 6:44Speaker 2: an endless war, Well, I don't know. When you're under
- 6:46Speaker 2: two weeks, that's really not an endless war. Hey, that
- 6:50Speaker 2: save act. It's very important for the mid terms. The
- 6:54Speaker 2: Save Act would make it change everything in the election.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So federal law that would make it required that everybody
- 7:02Speaker 2: has to show ID, IM prove they're an American citizen.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It's pretty easy nowadays to prove that. Most people now
- 7:09Speaker 2: have an enhanced driver's license that real ID. You just
- 7:14Speaker 2: prove you're a citizen. You show the documents, you prove
- 7:17Speaker 2: you're a citizen. You vote the way it's been as
- 7:19Speaker 2: anybody can vote. We've seen lots of examples of people
- 7:23Speaker 2: who weren't citizens who were caught voting. So the Save
- 7:26Speaker 2: Act would require it. Some states do require ID. Many
- 7:30Speaker 2: states require ID, but I think about thirty eight states
- 7:32Speaker 2: require ID. I got to prove your citizen. But then
- 7:36Speaker 2: there's some Blue states that if you're breathing close enough
- 7:40Speaker 2: you can will let you vote. And they want to
- 7:43Speaker 2: make it a federal requirement that every state has to
- 7:46Speaker 2: have only American citizens voting. And the Senator John Thunne
- 7:53Speaker 2: and the Senate has made a mess of this, screwed
- 7:55Speaker 2: up the whole thing. There's going to be a vote,
- 7:57Speaker 2: doesn't look like it'll succeed. Schumer, everybody was a little surprised,
- 8:02Speaker 2: actually said the quiet part out loud. Why would Democrats
- 8:06Speaker 2: oppose this? They come up with these weird explanations. One
- 8:09Speaker 2: was that, well, minority voters they can't get ID Huh,
- 8:15Speaker 2: they're too stupid. They don't know how to get an ID.
- 8:18Speaker 2: They're incapable of finding out how to get an idea
- 8:20Speaker 2: or drivers, which is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention one
- 8:24Speaker 2: of the most racist things you could say. Then they
- 8:27Speaker 2: tried this divorced women won't be able to vote, something
- 8:30Speaker 2: to do with their maiden name, this name, which makes
- 8:33Speaker 2: no sense at absolutely no sense at all. The real
- 8:36Speaker 2: reason is if you're illegal, you're not gonna be able
- 8:40Speaker 2: to vote anywhere. But Schumer, in one of those rants
- 8:43Speaker 2: he's got the every every year the glasses get bigger
- 8:46Speaker 2: and nice had this really really big glasses on actually
- 8:49Speaker 2: said the quiet part out loud.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yes, but their bill isn't voter ID number one. It
- 8:55Speaker 3: is about voter registration. It makes it. It allows ICE
- 9:01Speaker 3: to kick tens of millions of people off the rolls,
- 9:06Speaker 3: off the rolls, and they don't tell them until election day,
- 9:09Speaker 3: and you show them and you say you're not registered anymore.
- 9:12Speaker 3: You're not registered here, you're not on the rolls.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, if ice kick them off the rolls because
- 9:18Speaker 2: they're not an American citizen. And Schumer says it's tens
- 9:22Speaker 2: of millions. Is sometimes Democrats like, wow, the voter fraud
- 9:26Speaker 2: is very, very minor, it's very small. Well, if he's
- 9:29Speaker 2: saying it's tens of millions, it's not so small. So well,
- 9:35Speaker 2: let's see tomorrow's day. It's not going to go well
- 9:37Speaker 2: tomorrow for that vote. Hey, the Epstein stuff, Boy, there's
- 9:42Speaker 2: a lot more fallout with Epstein, more and more and more.
- 9:47Speaker 2: As you just heard them the news. Steve Tish was
- 9:51Speaker 2: all over the Epstein files talking to Epstein about women,
- 9:54Speaker 2: about this woman, that woman, this girl, that girl. Is
- 9:58Speaker 2: she a pro? Is she not? It's pretty seedy kind
- 10:01Speaker 2: of conversation he was having with Epstein. So it's now
- 10:05Speaker 2: been agreed that Steve Tish will transfer his ownership of
- 10:10Speaker 2: the Giants. He's got something like twenty percent of the team,
- 10:14Speaker 2: twenty five percent of the team. He will transfer it
- 10:17Speaker 2: actually to him and his sister Laurie, brother Jonathan. They
- 10:20Speaker 2: will transfer it to the next generation, to their kids.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Actually they had forty five percent ownership share. They'll put
- 10:28Speaker 2: it into a trust and the kids will now own
- 10:32Speaker 2: the trust, and the trust will have no voting or control.
- 10:36Speaker 2: They'll just have some ownership, but no control or voting
- 10:39Speaker 2: or say in the running of the Giants. One reason
- 10:42Speaker 2: they're doing this now is there's going to be the
- 10:45Speaker 2: NFL owner's Spring meeting later this month, and they thought
- 10:49Speaker 2: that maybe the owners would go nuts over this Steve
- 10:52Speaker 2: Tish Epstein connection. So to get ahead of that, Tish
- 10:56Speaker 2: is bowing out. He'll be out of the Giants. The
- 10:59Speaker 2: Mara family. John Merrow really runs at They're great people,
- 11:03Speaker 2: so everything's good with the Giants. So he's gone. As
- 11:08Speaker 2: a result, you got people all over the country, got
- 11:09Speaker 2: Larry Summers having to leave Harvard. Casey Washerman is one
- 11:13Speaker 2: of the biggest major figures in Hollywood, having a step
- 11:16Speaker 2: down from the company he founded, having a step down
- 11:19Speaker 2: as the Olympic chairman for Los Angeles. Now here's a
- 11:24Speaker 2: guy who he's okay here, I think Jeffrey Epstein wanted
- 11:29Speaker 2: to do damage control twenty fourteen. This was after the
- 11:34Speaker 2: first time he got convicted for this disgusting stuff. But
- 11:38Speaker 2: in twenty fourteen that Virginia Jeffrey was doing that civil
- 11:44Speaker 2: lawsuit where she was accusing of all kinds of stuff. Remember,
- 11:47Speaker 2: there was tremendous, awful bad news coverage of this, so
- 11:53Speaker 2: he wanted to do some damage control. So Epstein talked
- 11:58Speaker 2: to Larry Summers, a big part of the Clinton administration,
- 12:02Speaker 2: former Harvard president, all of that, and Larry Summer said,
- 12:05Speaker 2: you ought to hire Joe Lockhart, the ex Press secretary.
- 12:09Speaker 2: He'll help you with damage control pr public image. So
- 12:14Speaker 2: epstein'sid all right, set it up, and Summers put the
- 12:18Speaker 2: two of them together. So Lockhart looked like, ooh, we
- 12:20Speaker 2: may have an Epstein problem, but if you study the
- 12:23Speaker 2: stuff here, it's pretty clear. Lockhart was not interested, declined.
- 12:27Speaker 2: The offer. Never worked for Epstein, so he cleared himself.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Now the other people having some problem problems. There's some
- 12:37Speaker 2: very very big doctors and medical people all over New
- 12:40Speaker 2: York City. You know, you got your regular doctors, then
- 12:43Speaker 2: you got your concierge doctors give you a lot more service.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Then you get your real high end concierge doctors. And
- 12:50Speaker 2: these guys, you know, you got their cell number. Anytime
- 12:54Speaker 2: you need them twenty four to seven, you can call them.
- 12:56Speaker 2: They'll get you right into any hospital. They'll make house calls,
- 12:59Speaker 2: do it whatever you need. So there were a few
- 13:02Speaker 2: of them that Epstein got a hold of it and
- 13:05Speaker 2: started paying a fortune to tens of thousands of dollars
- 13:09Speaker 2: for every little thing. So there were a couple that
- 13:12Speaker 2: Epstein had taken care of him, taking care of the
- 13:14Speaker 2: girls and taking care of them, all kinds of stuff. Yes,
- 13:20Speaker 2: sexually transmitted diseases with one of them, but sometimes they'd
- 13:23Speaker 2: come in with bruises and they were bashed up. And
- 13:26Speaker 2: some of these doctors, Epstein wanted them to be anonymous.
- 13:31Speaker 2: In other words, if you have an account with the
- 13:33Speaker 2: concierge doctor, you have to list everybody that's going to
- 13:36Speaker 2: be treated. Well, some of them were just listed anonymously,
- 13:38Speaker 2: and apparently that's unethical. You're not supposed to do that
- 13:41Speaker 2: if you're a doctor. So some of those guys have
- 13:43Speaker 2: a problem. Goes beyond the doctors he was. I won't
- 13:48Speaker 2: mention any hospitals, but he was making deals with hospitals
- 13:51Speaker 2: so we could use their emergency room. And even more
- 13:54Speaker 2: than that. You can go in the New York Times
- 13:56Speaker 2: and read these articles. They've had a lot of coverage
- 13:58Speaker 2: of it this past week. But with some of these hospitals,
- 14:02Speaker 2: they would send the team over to his house to
- 14:05Speaker 2: treat the women. Here's the one woman here who seemed
- 14:08Speaker 2: to have her skull bashed a little and required a
- 14:12Speaker 2: lot of stitches. So you see a picture of the
- 14:14Speaker 2: laid her out on the dining room table. The team
- 14:17Speaker 2: from the hospital came over to Epstein's house and stitched
- 14:21Speaker 2: her up right there on the dining room table. There's
- 14:25Speaker 2: other situations where a girl got hurt in Epstein's depraved
- 14:31Speaker 2: whatever he was doing, and the doctors were asked to
- 14:34Speaker 2: take her to another place, like to New Jersey or
- 14:37Speaker 2: somewhere so there'd be no Epstein connection, and take her
- 14:40Speaker 2: into a hospital under another name. So a lot of
- 14:43Speaker 2: these people getting caught in all this stuff. There's more
- 14:45Speaker 2: and more evidence. Now, you know, disgusting enough these young girls,
- 14:49Speaker 2: but there's more and more evidence that whatever weird sexual
- 14:52Speaker 2: things were going on, people were getting injured. So some
- 14:56Speaker 2: of these girls shown up bruised, bleeding, that sort of
- 15:00Speaker 2: really bad stuff. And as we told you yesterday, Epstein
- 15:03Speaker 2: had this magnificent ranch in New Mexico, and there are
- 15:08Speaker 2: now nothing is confirmed, but they're now sources of saying
- 15:12Speaker 2: some people died. Some girls might have died in some
- 15:15Speaker 2: rough sex and they're buried on the ranch. So officials
- 15:18Speaker 2: are now actually seriously looking at digging up the grounds
- 15:21Speaker 2: of that ranch looking for that that's developing story, but
- 15:27Speaker 2: again nothing is confirmed yet, nothing is confirmed. Anyway, We've
- 15:31Speaker 2: got a lot to get to today. We'll take some calls.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 15:37Speaker 2: the number. Hey, we're having that big networking event. It's
- 15:40Speaker 2: next week. Oh, actually it's a week from tonight, a
- 15:44Speaker 2: week from tonight, March nineteenth, six to eight pms. A
- 15:46Speaker 2: lot of CEOs, a lot of business leaders, and it's
- 15:49Speaker 2: a good chance to meet a lot of people, decision makers,
- 15:52Speaker 2: mingle network. I'll be there, Larry Mentil will be there, courteously.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Will will be there saying a few words. It'll be
- 15:59Speaker 2: pretty good at a there's a new office building. I
- 16:02Speaker 2: mean it's older, Billy, but it's just reopen redone. It's beautiful.
- 16:05Speaker 2: It's two Park Avenue, two Park Avenues around thirty fourth Street,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and if you're looking to do a corporate event, there's
- 16:11Speaker 2: a beautiful venue on the top floor with great views
- 16:15Speaker 2: of the city, a magnificent outdoor terrace. So we're gonna
- 16:19Speaker 2: do that event there next Thursday night, March nineteenth, six
- 16:22Speaker 2: to eight pm. Space very limited. So you got an RSVP.
- 16:26Speaker 2: If you want to come and you want to RSVP,
- 16:29Speaker 2: go to seven ten WR dot com slash Live and
- 16:34Speaker 2: reserve a spot. Seven to ten WR dot com slash Live.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Give WR a bre said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 16:43Speaker 1: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simo show on WR.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Hey, well it takes me calls eight hundred three two
- 16:56Speaker 2: one zero seven. Ten is a number eight hundred three
- 16:59Speaker 2: two one zero seven to ten. Let's go to Dana
- 17:02Speaker 2: in Poughkeepsie. Dana, how you doing?
- 17:06Speaker 4: Hey, I'm good.
- 17:06Speaker 5: How are you? Mark?
- 17:07Speaker 2: Let me check? Not bad? Not bad.
- 17:12Speaker 4: So I have a question. I keep seeing people on
- 17:14Speaker 4: social media a lot and people saying that the reason,
- 17:18Speaker 4: you know, Trump even offered help to Spana Guthrie was
- 17:21Speaker 4: to distract from the Epstein files coming out, and he's
- 17:24Speaker 4: in it, and I ran as a distraction. But I
- 17:27Speaker 4: know you looked at it more. I haven't looked through
- 17:29Speaker 4: all of them. He's only mentioned in the context of
- 17:32Speaker 4: like real estate, right, like there's nothing.
- 17:34Speaker 2: No, he's mentioned a lot, But what he's mentioned for
- 17:37Speaker 2: is apparently Epstein hated him and Epstein is just bad
- 17:41Speaker 2: mouthing him like crazy. There's a lot of this creepy,
- 17:44Speaker 2: awful tabloid guy Michael Wolfe who writes these evil books
- 17:48Speaker 2: about Trump. He and Epstein are talking back and forth
- 17:50Speaker 2: all day. But how much they hate Trump. So that's
- 17:53Speaker 2: most of what's in there. But yeah, are you in
- 17:56Speaker 2: the Epstein files? Did you check?
- 18:00Speaker 4: I don't think so?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Dan, A good call, Thanks for calling. Yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 2: you can go just google Epstein files. It'll take you
- 18:09Speaker 2: a Department of Justice website, the Epstein Library. There's a
- 18:14Speaker 2: search bar and you can search your name. So I'm
- 18:18Speaker 2: searching all these people I know who were tangled up
- 18:20Speaker 2: with Epstein, and they came up, and then I don't
- 18:22Speaker 2: know why, just hell of it, type my name and
- 18:24Speaker 2: I came up. I'm in there five or six times.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So nothing bad, nothing bad. He was coming to some event.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I was m saying there was an email that mentioned me,
- 18:33Speaker 2: mentioned my show. Nothing bad, So I started typing it everybody.
- 18:38Speaker 2: So and they put up all of his American Express
- 18:42Speaker 2: bills in the files. So everybody I know who has
- 18:46Speaker 2: a restaurant, I'd sure enough the restaurant would come up
- 18:48Speaker 2: because it's in a an America Express bill. You'd be
- 18:51Speaker 2: shocked how many people come up in there. But a
- 18:52Speaker 2: lot of it is harmless. But the every time Trump
- 18:56Speaker 2: does anything, it's a distraction from the Epstein files. Trump's
- 19:00Speaker 2: the only guy that has nothing to worry about in
- 19:02Speaker 2: the Epstein files. He's clean in those Epstein files. I've
- 19:05Speaker 2: looked through him. Everybody's looked through him for that. There's
- 19:08Speaker 2: nothing on him in there. Let's go to Rich in
- 19:10Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 19:13Speaker 5: Hey, Thanks Mark, before I get to my John soon point.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Has there ever been anybody investigated, looked into more than
- 19:19Speaker 5: Donald J. Trump in the history of this country? And
- 19:22Speaker 5: they still can't find anything on the guy. The guy's
- 19:24Speaker 5: squeaky clean, and they just won't let it go. Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 2: No, I have known the guy for a million years.
- 19:30Speaker 2: You know, you always suspect, Oh, there must be something.
- 19:31Speaker 2: He's well squeaky clean from Jack Smith, the prosecutor he had.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Remember he had four federal prosecutors. Okay, four years. They
- 19:39Speaker 2: cannot find a damn thing. One reason for that. You'll
- 19:42Speaker 2: find this with a lot of billionaires. It's not that
- 19:44Speaker 2: they're the most honorable people on earth. They just know
- 19:47Speaker 2: they're a target and they make sure they're They won't
- 19:50Speaker 2: even smoke a Cuban cigar. They're that careful about that
- 19:53Speaker 2: stuff that's right.
- 19:54Speaker 5: And so John soon guy is really becoming a big disappointment.
- 19:57Speaker 5: McConnell was actually pretty good for a while. McConnell doesn't
- 20:00Speaker 5: even know where we use anymore. Staff is running his seat.
- 20:03Speaker 5: But was John feeling like McConnell's right hand man? Is
- 20:06Speaker 5: that why he ended up being the Senate leader? And
- 20:07Speaker 5: they're going to make a change you think? Are they're
- 20:09Speaker 5: going to stick around with this guy? Yeah?
- 20:10Speaker 2: I mean they're all kind of wormy characters. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 2: you look at that Congress, the Senate, they the House, Republicans, Democrats,
- 20:18Speaker 2: they're the worst people. Have you ever seen people this bad?
- 20:20Speaker 2: You get no three hundred and eighty million people in America,
- 20:24Speaker 2: we end up with these people running everything.
- 20:26Speaker 5: It's really aw home about Kathy Mays trying to release
- 20:29Speaker 5: all the exposure of the sex scandals and he voted
- 20:32Speaker 5: it down because they don't want to let themselves get
- 20:34Speaker 5: in trouble.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yeah, they're just the worst people in the world. In
- 20:37Speaker 2: Congress You know, if you ever watch the Fox Business
- 20:40Speaker 2: or CNBC, you know they have these CEOs come on,
- 20:43Speaker 2: these big business leaders and you know who they are,
- 20:45Speaker 2: some big CEO and they'll be very impressive. They start talking, Wow,
- 20:49Speaker 2: what an impressive guy, What a smart guy. Then you
- 20:52Speaker 2: watch these senators come on, tell they're the worst, slimiest people,
- 20:56Speaker 2: both sides of the aisle. Let's go to Larry in Cranford. Larry,
- 21:00Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 21:02Speaker 5: Hey? Mark?
- 21:02Speaker 1: Hi?
- 21:04Speaker 5: So the iotolas Son sounds like he doesn't have a
- 21:07Speaker 5: leg to stand on.
- 21:08Speaker 2: From what you said, that's not nice. So you're picking
- 21:11Speaker 2: on the iatolas Son.
- 21:15Speaker 5: I wonder which leg it is. I don't know if
- 21:17Speaker 5: he's right leged or left legged. I have no idea.
- 21:20Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Somebody was going to do
- 21:23Speaker 2: it. It was bound to happen. The Ietola Son took over
- 21:25Speaker 2: if you had just joined us. The reports are now
- 21:28Speaker 2: his leg was blown off in one of those bombings.
- 21:31Speaker 2: That's why you haven't seen him. He's in a coma,
- 21:33Speaker 2: reportedly leg blown off, facial lacerations and all of that. Again,
- 21:38Speaker 2: as I said from the beginning, when he got this job,
- 21:40Speaker 2: I'm sure his insurance company immediately canceled his policy. Hey,
- 21:45Speaker 2: when we come back, Steve Moore, the brilliant economist, we'll
- 21:48Speaker 2: be with us next. What's going to happen with oil prices,
- 21:51Speaker 2: What's gonna happen in the economy. We'll get to all
- 21:52Speaker 2: of that just a second, seven to ten.
- 21:55Speaker 1: WR to Mark Simone onor.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Well, Steve Moore the brilliant Economist, to make sure you
- 22:03Speaker 2: get his book, The Trump Economic Miracle. It's the best
- 22:06Speaker 2: book there is on the Trump economy. You can get
- 22:08Speaker 2: it at Amazon. Also, he runs the committee to Unleashed
- 22:12Speaker 2: Prosperity and they put out the best daily briefing, news analysis.
- 22:16Speaker 2: It's free. Come write to your email. Just sign up
- 22:18Speaker 2: for it. Go to Unleash Prosperity dot com. Steve Moore,
- 22:22Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 22:24Speaker 5: Hey, I'm doing well. Mark, how about you? I'm hoping
- 22:27Speaker 5: we we get this war over with in a successful way.
- 22:31Speaker 5: And I ran so we can see the price of
- 22:34Speaker 5: gasoline go back down to where it was, and.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I expect that.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Fully. I agree with Trump that once we get the
- 22:40Speaker 5: straits of Hormos open, and once we start to get
- 22:43Speaker 5: some of the infrastructure rebuilt that was bombed by the Iranians,
- 22:48Speaker 5: we're going to be headed right back to low gas
- 22:50Speaker 5: prices that we had before the war started, and with
- 22:53Speaker 5: Trump's pro drill baby drill policies.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, we're having a temporary spike. It's not
- 22:58Speaker 2: as bad as the Biden days, but it's a spike.
- 23:00Speaker 2: And in the end, if everything works out successfully, we
- 23:04Speaker 2: could have lower gas prices than we had a month ago. Right,
- 23:08Speaker 2: we could.
- 23:08Speaker 5: We may, We may very well. And look, the world
- 23:10Speaker 5: is a wash in energy and better way. This is
- 23:13Speaker 5: pretty amazing that the number one country that produces oil
- 23:17Speaker 5: and gas you know what country that is?
- 23:20Speaker 2: United States? Yeah, well there now.
- 23:22Speaker 5: The number one producer of oil and gas, you know
- 23:25Speaker 5: that from reading the hotline right this morning. And we've
- 23:28Speaker 5: surpassed Saudi Arabia and even more amazingly, I was shocked
- 23:32Speaker 5: about this, and that we are now a net exporter
- 23:36Speaker 5: of oil gas for the first time in forty years.
- 23:38Speaker 5: In other words, we're producing more oil and gas than
- 23:40Speaker 5: with than we consume. So you know, this drill baby
- 23:44Speaker 5: drill strategy works. But there's a global price. See, people
- 23:47Speaker 5: are confused about why is it that the price of
- 23:50Speaker 5: gas has gone up here even though it hasn't disrupted
- 23:53Speaker 5: our supplies of oil and gas, just to gas and
- 23:57Speaker 5: oil in the Middle East. And the answer is because
- 23:59Speaker 5: it's a global So you know, even though we're producing
- 24:02Speaker 5: as much oil and gas as ever here in the US,
- 24:05Speaker 5: when you get a big disruption like you're seeing in
- 24:07Speaker 5: the in the Middle East with the Saudi Arabian oil,
- 24:09Speaker 5: et cetera, that that will cause the price to rise everywhere.
- 24:13Speaker 5: So but anyway, it's a it's a policy. Can you imagine,
- 24:18Speaker 5: by the way, mark, if we had not done drill,
- 24:20Speaker 5: baby drill, we'd be paying eight nine dollars a barrel
- 24:24Speaker 5: of gas. And by the way, I was on a
- 24:26Speaker 5: radio show this morning in California. There are some gas
- 24:29Speaker 5: stations they're paying eight bucks a gallon in California.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, their average is over five dollars. Now that is
- 24:36Speaker 2: mostly due to Newsome in his climate change nonsense.
- 24:39Speaker 5: That's right, that's right. So this is what's so ironic
- 24:42Speaker 5: is Gvin Newsom, who's you know, the leading contender for
- 24:44Speaker 5: the Democratic nomination in twenty twenty eight, running around the country,
- 24:48Speaker 5: is saying, oh, you know, Donald Trump is causing gas
- 24:50Speaker 5: prices to rise. I'm like, wait a minute, you know,
- 24:53Speaker 5: where are the gas prices the highest in California by
- 24:56Speaker 5: a mile. You know, they're about a dollar fifty above
- 24:59Speaker 5: the national average, and gas prices there because of his
- 25:02Speaker 5: own policies, and then he blames on Trump for that.
- 25:05Speaker 5: But look, I'm confident we're going to see these prices
- 25:07Speaker 5: come down, you know, in a few weeks, and that'll
- 25:11Speaker 5: be blessed relief.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. Newsome also his state, California has a
- 25:15Speaker 2: seventy cents a gallon tax on guests. How do they
- 25:18Speaker 2: testify something like that.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a big debate in the in the legislature
- 25:23Speaker 5: there in California about why don't we suspend the gas
- 25:27Speaker 5: tax for a while while, you know, and then when
- 25:29Speaker 5: they and the Democrats all voted that down. You know,
- 25:32Speaker 5: by the way, it's the Blue states that have the
- 25:33Speaker 5: highest the gas prices. So the states with the highest
- 25:37Speaker 5: gas prices there are California number one, Washington State number two,
- 25:40Speaker 5: Hawaii number three, Oregon number four. You know, you just
- 25:44Speaker 5: go down the list, and New Jersey has high taxes. Incidentally,
- 25:48Speaker 5: there's another story related to this, because I know you
- 25:51Speaker 5: have so many listeners in the New York metropolitan area
- 25:54Speaker 5: New Jersey. Did you see that the New Jersey is
- 26:00Speaker 5: losing one of its oil companies that's moving, I believe,
- 26:04Speaker 5: to Texas. Gee, what a shock. Yeah, And I think
- 26:06Speaker 5: it's the exon of New Jersey. And so you know,
- 26:10Speaker 5: Standard Oil was basically practically founded in New Jersey and
- 26:14Speaker 5: now they're moving out. I mean it just shows these
- 26:16Speaker 5: high tax states are getting killed by the low tax
- 26:19Speaker 5: blue states.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Even the founder, as you report, the founder of Starbucks,
- 26:23Speaker 2: Howard Schultz, is leaving Washington State to move to Floridat
- 26:30Speaker 2: does you everything you see that happen?
- 26:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's funny. And by the way, Schultz
- 26:35Speaker 5: is a liberal guy. I mean he's a bleeding heart liberal.
- 26:39Speaker 5: And even he's moving the low states up. That means
- 26:43Speaker 5: you're going to see a lot of billionaires moving to
- 26:45Speaker 5: Texas and Florida and Tennessee and states that don't impose
- 26:48Speaker 5: income taxes. And that's why, by the way, New Jersey,
- 26:52Speaker 5: you know, until the I think it was around the
- 26:54Speaker 5: mid nineteen sixties, did not have an income tax, and
- 26:57Speaker 5: it might have been the early seventies day about the
- 26:59Speaker 5: income tax. So now you have in New Jersey as
- 27:01Speaker 5: the one of the highest income taxes in the country.
- 27:03Speaker 5: And gee, is it surprising people are leaving New York,
- 27:06Speaker 5: New Jersey, Connecticut with the high income taxes. I don't
- 27:09Speaker 5: think it is. Yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Now for a young Democrats listening right, I'll explain this
- 27:13Speaker 2: to them. Florida, no income tax, Texas, no income text.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yet they're booming, aren't they.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Yeah, and they have a lot of their budget surpluses,
- 27:21Speaker 5: whereas New York, New Jersey, Connecticut are struggling with the
- 27:24Speaker 5: highest income taxes to balance the budgets.
- 27:27Speaker 2: And what's the secret to that? Just hold your costs down,
- 27:30Speaker 2: control your budget.
- 27:32Speaker 5: Well, if you have if you have nine states that
- 27:35Speaker 5: have no income taxes, we do in the United States,
- 27:37Speaker 5: and they're going twice as fast as the states that
- 27:40Speaker 5: have high income taxes. Do you know the answer to this?
- 27:44Speaker 5: Maybe those high income tax states when they want to
- 27:47Speaker 5: lower their income tax rates, But in New York and
- 27:49Speaker 5: New Jersey they talk about raising them again. California is
- 27:52Speaker 5: talking about an eight percent wealth tax on top of
- 27:55Speaker 5: the highest income tax. I mean, these Democrats, all they
- 27:58Speaker 5: want to do is tax, tax, tax, spend, span spend.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Steve Moore in the Hotline today, this is
- 28:03Speaker 2: a great idea. The TSA. You talk about privatizing them.
- 28:08Speaker 2: It makes perfect sense. Wouldn't that save us a fortune
- 28:11Speaker 2: and be more efficient?
- 28:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean people are very frustrated with how long
- 28:15Speaker 5: it takes to get through the I travel a lot.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I know you do, and I know a lot of.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Your listeners do. And you know when you go to
- 28:21Speaker 5: the TSA now, especially that the government, that agency of
- 28:25Speaker 5: government has been shut down, thank you, Chuck Schumer. It's
- 28:28Speaker 5: at some point some cities it's taking two to three
- 28:31Speaker 5: hours to get through TSA and to get through the
- 28:35Speaker 5: security that if we had a privatized system, you could
- 28:39Speaker 5: get through in fifteen minutes.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Really and save a lot of money in the process.
- 28:43Speaker 5: Wouldn't we You would save a lot of money. Yep.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah. But when they the airline businesses, the
- 28:50Speaker 2: Trump has always said the worst business in the world.
- 28:53Speaker 2: You're always going to lose money in the airline business.
- 28:55Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean the airports have to be running inefficiently.
- 28:58Speaker 2: That's a whole different business, isn't it.
- 29:01Speaker 5: Yeah, Why does the government have to run airports? They
- 29:03Speaker 5: don't run anything very well. They don't run the postal
- 29:06Speaker 5: service very well. They can't balance the budget, they can't
- 29:08Speaker 5: fight crime, they can't do any of the financial stuff.
- 29:11Speaker 5: So why would we why would we turn over that
- 29:14Speaker 5: operation to UH to government employees. I guarantee you we'd
- 29:18Speaker 5: have a much more efficient system if if the airports
- 29:21Speaker 5: and the and the and the TSA security was done
- 29:26Speaker 5: by private employees. And by the way, the reason the
- 29:28Speaker 5: Democrats don't want to do that is because they're all
- 29:30Speaker 5: government employees and they're all members of unions.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Well, if you want to read stories like the great
- 29:34Speaker 2: news and analysis, the best daily briefing comes from the

- 30:54Speaker 1: One wr Hey, well Thursday, we got uh got rain
- 31:02Speaker 1: all day today.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Then it's not bad. It's not bad. It'll get cold
- 31:05Speaker 2: tonight into the thirties for the first time in a
- 31:08Speaker 2: few days, and then forties tomorrow, fifties over the weekend,

- 31:13Speaker 2: week after spring begins, and then the week after baseball
- 31:17Speaker 2: season begins. You got through the winter and that's good news.
- 31:21Speaker 2: So we got a lot to get to in the
- 31:23Speaker 2: next hour. We'll get to the Oscars. Don't forget that

- 31:30Speaker 2: It's not the greatest list in the world. But we'll
- 31:33Speaker 2: tell you who's gonna who's gonna be there, and we'll
- 31:36Speaker 2: get to that coming up in the next hour. Have
- 31:39Speaker 2: you been watching the mini series Love Story John F.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Kennedy Junior, Carolyn Bassett. It portrays Jackie Kennedy Jackie o
- 31:49Speaker 2: Nassis a little rough. She's chained smoking throughout the whole thing,
- 31:52Speaker 2: kind of nasty to everybody, But outside of that, it
- 31:56Speaker 2: just makes the Kennedy family look wonderful. They're all up
- 31:59Speaker 2: in our complaining they're being exploited by this, but really
- 32:03Speaker 2: it's probably the first thing in a million years that's
- 32:05Speaker 2: actually making the Kennedys look good. Usually the books the
- 32:08Speaker 2: miniseries are all pretty ugly, so and this thing is
- 32:12Speaker 2: really caught on. It's like a beautiful fairy tale. So
- 32:14Speaker 2: it's the one positive piece of media for the Kennedy
- 32:18Speaker 2: family in a long time. Hey, we'll be back after
- 32:20Speaker 2: the news. A lot to get to in the next
- 32:22Speaker 2: hour seven ten wo
