- 0:00Speaker 1: And check this out, Sam Vera versus the field, experience
- 0:04Speaker 1: versus opportunity.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah, when you have ben chic fanseeka hudar, who've all
- 0:09Speaker 2: been around for about one to three years, this is
- 0:12Speaker 2: what the numbers are going to look like. Vera has
- 0:13Speaker 2: been ranked, you know that three to five reign for
- 0:16Speaker 2: the last five six years, and his numbers on that
- 0:18Speaker 2: left side, callumn showing.
- 0:20Speaker 3: It is now my distinct honor, my.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Privilege to welcome jump backing road in the studio.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I've been waiting for this palm. You're so full of it.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yeah you think so.
- 0:30Speaker 4: What I like in terms of you waiting for me,
- 0:32Speaker 4: this all this time for me to come on the set,
- 0:34Speaker 4: is this. This is the biggest set I've ever seen.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Is a tennis evander.
- 0:39Speaker 3: To the Last Supper.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'm sitting in the middle, which means I'm in trouble.
- 0:44Speaker 3: You got to call it. What did you see from Zverah?
- 0:46Speaker 3: How impressed were well?
- 0:47Speaker 4: First of all, Zaverav's under more oppression than he had
- 0:50Speaker 4: had is his life because he should win this obviously, right,
- 0:53Speaker 4: it's right there for the taking. There's no Carlos, no Yannick,
- 0:57Speaker 4: no Novec. So if he doesn't win it. There's a
- 1:00Speaker 4: lot of us thinking, correct me if I'm wrong. Panel,
- 1:03Speaker 4: You're doing a great job, by the way, I've been
- 1:04Speaker 4: watching the whole time in the first week, especially Adam,
- 1:08Speaker 4: You've been doing a great job.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Really. Yeah, you have big You bring a butt there,
- 1:13Speaker 3: so oh no, there's no butt. You guys here.
- 1:15Speaker 4: You know, he brings some youth and some energy, and
- 1:17Speaker 4: you were here in the sauna the first week. You know,
- 1:20Speaker 4: I love saunas, but I don't like it when I'm
- 1:22Speaker 4: doing and on camera. So I got to commend you guys.
- 1:24Speaker 4: And you know zevervs. He came out tight the last
- 1:28Speaker 4: couple of matches, but he stepped up big. I mean
- 1:30Speaker 4: that Serve is you know, well this guy, yeah, biggest
- 1:33Speaker 4: server in the history. Sam, you could serve pretty big also,
- 1:37Speaker 4: but this guy backs it up with some serious ground.
- 1:40Speaker 4: He's also so to me, the way he's serving and
- 1:44Speaker 4: actually stepping into four hands is what we've been waiting for,
- 1:49Speaker 4: I think for the past two three, four years, you know,
- 1:52Speaker 4: to finally do this to get over the hump, and
- 1:54Speaker 4: I think he's going to do it. Anyone disagree with me.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I agree with the serving. We mentioned it before. He
- 1:59Speaker 3: came here. Ladies. You said Kasper Rude was going to
- 2:03Speaker 3: win the other day, didn't you. Yeah, but Casper's house.
- 2:07Speaker 5: I mean, we can't listen to Sam. Sam said that
- 2:09Speaker 5: Medvedev was going to win.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You said that at least the biggest threat to don't
- 2:20Speaker 3: worry about that.
- 2:21Speaker 4: The threat to center interesting.
- 2:22Speaker 3: But we're weird.
- 2:23Speaker 6: Just before you got here, Joe, we're talking about serving
- 2:25Speaker 6: that well and then backing it up with the rest
- 2:27Speaker 6: of his game. And to be that tall and move
- 2:29Speaker 6: around that well and return that well. He's the tallest
- 2:32Speaker 6: best returner I've ever seen in my life.
- 2:34Speaker 2: The wait hit.
- 2:34Speaker 6: How quiet he keeps his body for being so big
- 2:37Speaker 6: is so impressive. He's moving around that last that match
- 2:40Speaker 6: point is indicative of how he's playing so far in
- 2:43Speaker 6: this tournament. Sliding for him winner straight up the line.
- 2:46Speaker 6: He's got everything right now. He's got two days off.
- 2:49Speaker 6: He probably would only want to prefer one day off,
- 2:52Speaker 6: but he's looking good.
- 2:53Speaker 3: It's his term to lose, for sure. But I agree
- 2:55Speaker 3: with John.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I mean, he's got so much pressure on him, and
- 2:57Speaker 5: you felt that, especially in the last match today. I
- 3:00Speaker 5: felt like he came out there, he was nervous, but
- 3:01Speaker 5: then he kind of figured it out and then it
- 3:03Speaker 5: was smooth sailing from there. It's almost like watching our
- 3:05Speaker 5: next play, you know, so much pressure's new, Well, now
- 3:08Speaker 5: is our time when your.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Next life.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The next So I know he also played for the Warriors,
- 3:16Speaker 1: so I wasn't sure.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Okay, but hey, congratulations on the final. He also played
- 3:20Speaker 3: for the Spurs as well.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Oh yeah, but he was the captain of the next Okay,
- 3:25Speaker 5: that's right, he got drafted.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I want to put Ralph.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I want to give him his credit, Hodar, what he
- 3:30Speaker 1: did in this tournament, making a name, going from seven
- 3:32Speaker 1: hundred and seven in the world last year to the
- 3:35Speaker 1: quarterfinals this year. From what you saw today and also
- 3:38Speaker 1: what you saw from the tournament, what future does he
- 3:40Speaker 1: have ahead of it?
- 3:40Speaker 4: I mean, the futures am incredibly bright. But hopefully for
- 3:44Speaker 4: the kids listening, especially at my tennis academy, look what
- 3:47Speaker 4: this kid did. He didn't sort of jump to the
- 3:49Speaker 4: pros immediately. I think it affected fan sake in a
- 3:53Speaker 4: negative way, the expectation he's finally coming into his own
- 3:56Speaker 4: But he went to UVA for a year sort of
- 4:00Speaker 4: got to be around kids his own age, you know,
- 4:03Speaker 4: grow up a little bit. On his own, not have
- 4:05Speaker 4: the pressure the spotlight on him, and so he's developed.
- 4:09Speaker 3: In a more normal way.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I highly recommend that, especially now that the you get
- 4:14Speaker 4: paid to play college tennis pretty sweet, you know, so
- 4:18Speaker 4: that's another reason not to have to jump to the
- 4:21Speaker 4: pros right away. So this is it's a great you know,
- 4:24Speaker 4: he's everything you've seen from him leads you to believe
- 4:27Speaker 4: he's gonna win majors.
- 4:28Speaker 2: You could see how important momentum is too. Kind of
- 4:31Speaker 2: came out of nowhere three months ago, started playing well
- 4:34Speaker 2: and it just started. It was like a snowball effect, right.
- 4:37Speaker 2: He got better and better each match he played. He's
- 4:39Speaker 2: one of the most play court matches this season at
- 4:41Speaker 2: the RED and so you can make that when things click,
- 4:45Speaker 2: it seems like they click fast in tennis. You see
- 4:47Speaker 2: players on the men's side and the women's side go
- 4:50Speaker 2: kind of from sometimes you know, one hundred two hundred
- 4:52Speaker 2: in the world to top fifty in a span of
- 4:54Speaker 2: six to eight months.
