- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know right Good morning, six o'clock.
- 0:03Speaker 1: You're on this Thursday morning. Thank you for starting with us.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Ricky's got those three things.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Target CEO is stepping down after eleven years with the company.
- 0:11Speaker 3: He will hand over control on.
- 0:12Speaker 2: February first next year to Target's current chief operating officer,
- 0:17Speaker 2: who started at the company as an intern twenty years ago.
- 0:21Speaker 2: This is not much of a surprise because sales have
- 0:24Speaker 2: been sliding and Target just reported its third straight quarterly drop.
- 0:29Speaker 2: It stock is one of the worst performers right now.
- 0:31Speaker 2: The S and P five hundred this year.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So all bad stuff for CEO. Things you don't want.
- 0:36Speaker 2: There's been a lot of controversy because earlier this year
- 0:39Speaker 2: Target scaled back on a lot of their DEI programs,
- 0:43Speaker 2: which had a lot of backlash from customers. A lot
- 0:45Speaker 2: of people have boycotted Target because of it, and that's
- 0:48Speaker 2: kind of part of the issue, as well as slow
- 0:52Speaker 2: down in consumer spending because obviously things are just too
- 0:55Speaker 2: expensive right now for pretty much everyone, so a lot
- 0:58Speaker 2: of people are pulling back on their spending.
- 1:00Speaker 3: So he will step down.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Volleyball returns after forty five years. It took a forty
- 1:07Speaker 2: five year.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Hiatus, but it's back.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Head coach ANDREWS. Nelson has been building this volleyball program
- 1:13Speaker 2: for the past two and a half years in preparation
- 1:15Speaker 2: for the program's comeback.
- 1:17Speaker 4: This year.
- 1:17Speaker 3: The team will even have.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Their first player from Middle Tennessee to make Vanderbilt roster,
- 1:23Speaker 2: Kayla Dunlap. She is a six to four graduate from
- 1:26Speaker 2: Centennial High School.
- 1:27Speaker 3: They are very excited about all of this. They play
- 1:29Speaker 3: their first.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Match later this month against Kansas State. Really cool though,
- 1:33Speaker 2: to see that they're bringing it back. And Lays has
- 1:36Speaker 2: launched new chip flavors inspired by tailgating classics. So there's
- 1:41Speaker 2: gonna be three new limited edition chip flavors, all inspired
- 1:44Speaker 2: by tailgating, all perfect for fall and football season.
- 1:48Speaker 3: They hit shelves this week.
- 1:49Speaker 2: They're going to have Lay's Hot Sauce flavor, which I
- 1:52Speaker 2: am so on board with wavy loaded nachos and jalapeos,
- 1:57Speaker 2: spiked crunch and I don't cooked cheesy buffalo dip.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I mean they all sound great.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Right, they all sound amazing.
- 2:06Speaker 2: It's available nationwide and online while supplies last, and like
- 2:09Speaker 2: I said, you can find them later this week. I'm Sanchez,
- 2:12Speaker 2: and those are the three things you need.
- 2:13Speaker 1: To know.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach and men in the morning.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Morning, Derek and Gallaton, Welcome to one oh seven five
- 2:20Speaker 2: the River.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Where are you on your way to right now? Sounds
- 2:22Speaker 3: like you're in the car.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Uh No, I'm at work.
- 2:25Speaker 5: I've been at work at three in morning.
- 2:28Speaker 3: What do you do for work?
- 2:29Speaker 4: Uh?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Heavy equipment?
- 2:30Speaker 4: Crane operator running?
- 2:33Speaker 6: What's the heaviest thing you've ever lifted?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Right now?
- 2:37Speaker 7: Picking up about an eight to ball?
- 2:39Speaker 1: Jesus, an eight ton box? What's in it?
- 2:42Speaker 5: Hit a ball?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Pick it up and grab it.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Okay, that sounds like a lot of fun. I want
- 2:52Speaker 3: to drop heavy things and break things. That sounds like
- 2:54Speaker 3: so much fun.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I gotta say, man, you win the award for most
- 2:59Speaker 1: interesting jobs that we talked to you in a long time.
- 3:01Speaker 1: This is fascinating.
- 3:04Speaker 3: At Okay, so it's a little hot.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Well, I guess it's a good thing you started at
- 3:08Speaker 2: three am even though it's still warm.
- 3:10Speaker 3: At least it's not you know, the sun beaten down
- 3:12Speaker 3: on you. All right?
- 3:14Speaker 2: Well, Derek, this has been truly fascinating, and we can
- 3:16Speaker 2: ask you seven thousand more questions about your job. Don't
- 3:19Speaker 2: get us wrong, but I want to tell you that
- 3:21Speaker 2: you are the first color of the day, so you're
- 3:23Speaker 2: getting some food and.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Drinks on us.
- 3:25Speaker 2: We want you to come out tonight for a happy
- 3:27Speaker 2: Hour at Tavern Midtown and have some fun with us.
- 3:31Speaker 1: All right, and yeah, we are going to ask you
- 3:33Speaker 1: a thousand more questions about this job and I.
- 3:34Speaker 6: Have hothe you're ready for it, especially Kevin Well.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see you tonight, buddy. Thank you for listening,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and be safe out there.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Okay, all right, okay, hang on the line.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And again, just to reiterate, everybody can come out tonight.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Yes, please come out. It starts at five pm tonight.
- 3:49Speaker 2: We're gonna be there till seven at minimum. We will
- 3:53Speaker 2: have chances for you to get into our Sabrina Carpenter
- 3:56Speaker 2: album listening party, so you'll hear her album before anybody else.
- 4:00Speaker 2: And you're gonna have a chance to get Tate McCrae
- 4:02Speaker 2: tickets as well.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Tonight Tavern Midtown will be there at five o'clock.
- 4:05Speaker 8: One Rickey, Zach and Menno in the morning the River.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Good morning friends. Yesterday the three of us, Ricky, Zach
- 4:14Speaker 1: and Manow we went to the fair. We went to
- 4:16Speaker 1: the Wilson County Fair. The Tennessee State Fair.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Yeah, we did.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I will say first, couldn't have been a more beautiful
- 4:21Speaker 1: night it.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Honestly, the weather was perfect.
- 4:24Speaker 3: We got very, very lucky.
- 4:25Speaker 1: We were worried that it was gonna be sweltering and sweaty,
- 4:28Speaker 1: but it was beautiful.
- 4:29Speaker 3: It was still hot, but it was very nice.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like a nice, tolerable hat which I
- 4:34Speaker 2: had thought.
- 4:35Speaker 1: We had a great time the team building bonding experience,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but apparently Ricky has grievances with Zach and I.
- 4:40Speaker 3: First I'll talk about the positives.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Okay, Number one, everyone is sleeping on the Lote wagon
- 4:47Speaker 2: that is there.
- 4:47Speaker 3: They have street tacos.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That are I'm literally salivating right now. I want more
- 4:53Speaker 2: of them. They were so good. There was nobody in
- 4:55Speaker 2: line there and I was like, why is nobody here?
- 4:58Speaker 2: These tacos are freaking phenomenal. Yeah, they have all sorts
- 5:02Speaker 2: of things there. Go to the Alotte wagon when you
- 5:04Speaker 2: are at the fair, you will not be disappointed.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Not before we move on. While we're talking about food,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I think it was my first time ever seeing fried
- 5:12Speaker 1: butter in persons.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yes I can't, but.
- 5:16Speaker 1: The butter is the one that gets me. It's a
- 5:18Speaker 1: stick of butter deep fried? What is going on?
- 5:22Speaker 9: Why I think about it, It's kind of like a biscuit,
- 5:24Speaker 9: a butter biscuit, butter on a biscuit, and it's like
- 5:28Speaker 9: it's pancake battery.
- 5:30Speaker 2: You put an entire stick of butter on one singular biscuit,
- 5:32Speaker 2: you got a.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Problem or you just aren't eating good. I don't know.
- 5:37Speaker 3: But the food was phenomenal that we did get. We
- 5:41Speaker 3: played some games we did. We didn't win anything.
- 5:44Speaker 1: By this ring toss game, which is just him. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: know those fair games are always impossible, but this was.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Nobody complained about the fact that we didn't win, though,
- 5:50Speaker 2: although I think that Kevin was very close to having
- 5:52Speaker 2: an aneurysm at one point.
- 5:54Speaker 3: I like.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Kevin the game master, loves to play games.
- 5:59Speaker 3: We had a lot of fun. We have a lot
- 6:01Speaker 3: of fun.
- 6:01Speaker 2: The one grievance I have, okay, nobody would ride the
- 6:05Speaker 2: big kid rides with me.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Yesterday, I wanted to go in the.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Big huge thing that flips you around in circles and
- 6:13Speaker 2: like the cage flips and it's all like big fun,
- 6:16Speaker 2: happiness and excitement.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Neither of you wanted to go on the ride with me,
- 6:19Speaker 3: so I didn't go on the ride.
- 6:21Speaker 9: Okay, so I have a valid excuse. What my hip hurts.
- 6:24Speaker 9: I have to have another hip replacement.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You went down the freaking slide, big. You can't move
- 6:32Speaker 2: in the thing that you're in, like you're not gonna
- 6:34Speaker 2: hit into any tund Kevin had no excuse, Zachary, that
- 6:40Speaker 2: is a terrible excuse because it doesn't toss you around
- 6:42Speaker 2: anywhere at all.
- 6:42Speaker 3: There's seatbelts, so you literally can't. So you're lying. You're
- 6:46Speaker 3: just a big baby. Kevin's an even bigger baby.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I will go to the playground with my kids and
- 6:51Speaker 1: if I swing by sit on the swings for ten seconds,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I am so dizzy I want to throw up and
- 6:57Speaker 1: pass out.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I can't.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I don't know what happened, but I'm bored. Two years old.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I can't take that sort of motion anymore.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Two big baby losers.
- 7:05Speaker 6: Baby losers.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I was so upset that I didn't get to go
- 7:09Speaker 2: on the fun rides.
- 7:10Speaker 6: You could have gone by yourself. You're a strong, independent woman.
- 7:13Speaker 2: We ran a long line and I didn't want to
- 7:15Speaker 2: make you guys wait, I.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Was trying to be kind.
- 7:17Speaker 6: Now that's an excuse. She didn't want to go either.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I wanted to go so bad.
- 7:21Speaker 1: She's using us as her like scapegoat here.
- 7:23Speaker 9: Because oh, you guys didn't want to go outside, didn't go.
- 7:26Speaker 9: You're a strong independent woman. You could have gone by
- 7:28Speaker 9: yourself and waited in line.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You're doing bonding. That doesn't mean do something by yourself.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It means do something together.
- 7:34Speaker 1: We would have filmed it from down below. It would
- 7:36Speaker 1: have been great.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You guys are just baby losers with yourself.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Look in the mirror.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Nope, I'm very happy with me.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I enjoyed fun.
- 7:45Speaker 3: You guys don't.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Anyway, we had a great time. We're going down to
- 7:47Speaker 1: the fair. I hope you have as much fun as
- 7:50Speaker 1: we did because it was great.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Three things you need to know.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Right just after seven o'clock on this Thursday morning, Ricky
- 7:57Speaker 1: Sanchez has those three.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Oh that was fancy.
- 8:00Speaker 2: The major rezoning plan for the Nation's Neighborhood has been
- 8:03Speaker 2: approved by Metro Council. This is one of the largest
- 8:06Speaker 2: rezoning efforts in the city's history, and it's been very controversial.
- 8:10Speaker 2: So the plan rezones approximately three hundred acres and will
- 8:14Speaker 2: allow up to four homes on a standard residential lot,
- 8:17Speaker 2: while limiting new homes to a two story height maximum
- 8:20Speaker 2: of thirty five feet. They say this is an efforts
- 8:22Speaker 2: to create more affordable housing. So community members were concerned
- 8:26Speaker 2: if they would actually be affordable, and they worried about
- 8:28Speaker 2: keeping the charm of the neighborhood intact, which has been
- 8:31Speaker 2: something that obviously a lot of neighborhoods in Nashville have
- 8:33Speaker 2: seen change over the last few years. Several amendments were
- 8:37Speaker 2: passed along with the plan, including things like stricter tree
- 8:41Speaker 2: density requirements and a ban on short term rentals in
- 8:44Speaker 2: order to help, you know, kind of keep that charm
- 8:46Speaker 2: alive in the neighborhood. BTS is bringing their live performances
- 8:51Speaker 2: to the big screen with their own movie week. The
- 8:53Speaker 2: Kate Pop group announced BTS Movie Weeks, which is a
- 8:56Speaker 2: two week event that's going to feature four of the
- 8:58Speaker 2: group's concert films. They're all going to hit theaters around
- 9:01Speaker 2: the world in different areas. The event runs from September
- 9:04Speaker 2: twenty fourth through October fifth. Tickets for the screenings go
- 9:07Speaker 2: on sale August twenty seventh at nine am Eastern. There
- 9:11Speaker 2: aren't a list of all of the different you know,
- 9:13Speaker 2: theaters that are going to show these, so I don't
- 9:15Speaker 2: know the ones in Middle Tennessee just right now, but
- 9:18Speaker 2: on August twenty seventh, you will be able to find
- 9:20Speaker 2: out and TSA has banned new items in checked luggage.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So on the newly banned list are cordless hairstyling tools
- 9:28Speaker 2: that contain gas cartridges or buttane, including cordless curling irons,
- 9:33Speaker 2: flat irons, or their spare gas refills. These are potentially
- 9:37Speaker 2: hazardous hair tools, and they're allowed in your carry.
- 9:40Speaker 3: On as long as they have safety covers.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Corded hair tools are good to go on carry ons
- 9:45Speaker 2: or checked bags, whichever ones is just the cordless ones
- 9:48Speaker 2: that are.
- 9:48Speaker 3: No longer allowed.
- 9:50Speaker 2: If TSA finds these in your checked bags, they're gonna
- 9:53Speaker 2: take your whole suitcase. So you want to make sure
- 9:55Speaker 2: that you are doing the right thing and packing the
- 9:57Speaker 2: right stuff, so it's worth double checking before you head
- 10:00Speaker 2: to the airport.
- 10:01Speaker 3: If your cordless hair.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Tools happen to have any gas cartridges or buttane?
- 10:06Speaker 1: Are those common? I did not know there were gas
- 10:09Speaker 1: powered hair tools.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Not super common, but they exist for sure, like there
- 10:13Speaker 2: are people that own them, so just know you can't
- 10:16Speaker 2: bring them in your checked baggage. It's kind of very similar,
- 10:19Speaker 2: you know, when you do a check bag, They're like, oh,
- 10:20Speaker 2: do you have any lithium batteries in here? I guess
- 10:23Speaker 2: there's something where going up in the plane. It messes
- 10:27Speaker 2: with how it can like light on fire or whatever.
- 10:30Speaker 2: So they're just being safe. This is newly added to
- 10:32Speaker 2: their band lists. Like I said, you don't want to
- 10:34Speaker 2: get your stuff confiscated, so just double check.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 10:38Speaker 3: need to know.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm just picturing like a curling iron with like a
- 10:41Speaker 1: pole cord, like a lawnmower or a chainsaw.
- 10:43Speaker 7: Like that.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Sounds insane.
- 10:45Speaker 6: It's not how it works.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Not how it works.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Thanks Ricky. Right after Miles Smith, we are learning, Zach
- 10:50Speaker 1: is standing by with a fact. It's called Zack's FATX
- 10:53Speaker 1: doing an X on the.
- 10:54Speaker 4: River one seven Reicky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
- 10:58Speaker 1: It's time for Zach's fat on one oh seven five
- 11:01Speaker 1: the river.
- 11:01Speaker 6: Did you guys know that your brain has made a
- 11:03Speaker 6: seventy five percent water?
- 11:05Speaker 3: I am water. Water is me.
- 11:06Speaker 9: I had no idea, Like I knew that your body
- 11:08Speaker 9: was like ninety percent water, but I didn't know that
- 11:10Speaker 9: your brain the most functioning part of your body was
- 11:13Speaker 9: seventy five percent water.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It's fascinating.
- 11:15Speaker 6: That's crazy. And there's your fact of the day.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I think some people have more water in the brains.
- 11:18Speaker 6: And that was Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Morning on one O five the River.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Why do you go to the fair? What is your
- 11:26Speaker 2: favorite part of going to the fair? It's Ricky, Zach
- 11:29Speaker 2: and Mano in the morning on one O seven five
- 11:31Speaker 2: the River. The three of us went to the fair
- 11:32Speaker 2: last day, and I think we all realized that we
- 11:34Speaker 2: have different reasons that we want to go.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think some people go for the food specifically,
- 11:39Speaker 1: some people go for the rides. Maybe some people go
- 11:41Speaker 1: for the games or the people watching. So what is
- 11:44Speaker 1: it for you? That is our question right now? Are
- 11:45Speaker 1: you a food person or ride person?
- 11:47Speaker 6: What is it?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Six?
- 11:48Speaker 1: One five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven?
- 11:51Speaker 10: Uh.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I know Ricky wanted to win one of those giant.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Labooboos, so really did and she's.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Going back for the game so she can get one.
- 11:57Speaker 1: What are you? Let us know?
- 11:58Speaker 8: One O seven five Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning,
- 12:02Speaker 8: Mary Bus, Ricky, Zach and Mano.
- 12:03Speaker 1: We went to the fair yesterday. The Tennessee State Fair.
- 12:06Speaker 1: We had a blast, and now we want to know
- 12:08Speaker 1: why you go to the fair? Are you a food person?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Are you a ride person? Abby? And Murphysboro, good morning?
- 12:14Speaker 1: Why do you go to the fair?
- 12:16Speaker 10: Well?
- 12:16Speaker 5: Because I'm a mother.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Okay, so you're not really looking forward to the fair
- 12:21Speaker 2: per se, but you got kids that are looking forward
- 12:24Speaker 2: to it.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yes, don't get me wrong.
- 12:27Speaker 5: The food was fantastic. There's too many people and it
- 12:31Speaker 5: was very peopley, and after you've peopled all day. Listen,
- 12:35Speaker 5: some of us have to go. Just because I'm not
- 12:38Speaker 5: trying to have my kid have a meltdown.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I have a question, Abby, And this might be a
- 12:42Speaker 2: little too personal, but like we were at the fair
- 12:45Speaker 2: last night and it was so expensive. How much money
- 12:48Speaker 2: do you typically spend when you go to the fair?
- 12:51Speaker 5: Well, to be honest with you, I was thinking about
- 12:54Speaker 5: selling a kidney. But it was just me and my
- 13:02Speaker 5: nine year old son and we spent oh my gosh,
- 13:05Speaker 5: it was like forty eight something dollars for us to
- 13:07Speaker 5: get in. And then you know he's got to have
- 13:09Speaker 5: the armband to ride, of course, and then the food
- 13:12Speaker 5: and the snacks, and then some of the rides they
- 13:15Speaker 5: cast extra. Yeah, I'm like, are we taking out small
- 13:18Speaker 5: loans to.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Go to the same It is crazy. Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 5: And don't get me wrong, they got my ten dollars
- 13:25Speaker 5: for Pferd parking too, because.
- 13:28Speaker 11: I'm sunky and it caught and I'm not.
- 13:31Speaker 5: About to hike to go hike some more, that's my girl.
- 13:34Speaker 1: This is quite the endorsement for the fair. It's not
- 13:36Speaker 1: a whole lot of positivity here, but we appreciate you. Habby,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Thank you for listening, thank you for calling.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Thank you have a good day.
- 13:42Speaker 3: You know that was real though, That's true.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Finley and Franklin, good morning. What type of person are
- 13:48Speaker 1: you at the fair?
- 13:49Speaker 5: I like to like ride ride, and then I'm like, Ricky,
- 13:53Speaker 5: I wanted to win my sister a little booboo, but
- 13:55Speaker 5: I didn't get it.
- 13:56Speaker 3: You wanted to win it for your sister. That is
- 13:58Speaker 3: the sweetest thing ever.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Finley, thank you. I'm sure she appreciated that. You tried
- 14:03Speaker 2: really hard.
- 14:04Speaker 6: He did.
- 14:05Speaker 1: The ones that Ricky was trying to win, they were
- 14:07Speaker 1: like the size of Ricky. They were, you know, obviously
- 14:09Speaker 1: not real laboo boos. It's a giant stuffed animal that
- 14:12Speaker 1: looks like a laboobo.
- 14:14Speaker 5: I did not see that one.
- 14:16Speaker 2: It was huge and it was very hard to try
- 14:18Speaker 2: and win that. All three of us tried to win
- 14:20Speaker 2: it for me and we failed miserably.

- 15:30Speaker 11: go with my child and stand in one line while
- 15:34Speaker 11: they stand in the other line, so that I don't
- 15:36Speaker 11: have to be there all night waiting on these runs.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Okay, that's actually such a life hat.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yes, not your first rodeo, Stephanie.
- 15:44Speaker 11: Not my first radio. And I have to go multiple

- 17:33Speaker 8: I didn't thank you.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Does your son play basketball like recreationally?
- 17:36Speaker 7: He does, but he's only seven. You know the goals
- 17:39Speaker 7: are shaped.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Oh so when he's in the NBA. To Meka, you
- 17:42Speaker 6: could buy us a house?

- 18:19Speaker 1: Pam in Nashville, Good morning.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Good morning, guys, welcome to the River.
- 18:23Speaker 1: How are you on this Thursday morning.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I'm ready for it to do the weekend same. I
- 18:29Speaker 3: feel that we're gonna play this game.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It's I feel like getting progressively harder over the week.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So we wish you the best of luck. It's track
- 18:36Speaker 1: title trivia, So it's trivia questions based on Maroon five
- 18:40Speaker 1: song titles. You get two out of three of them.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The tickets are yours. Are you ready, Pam?
- 18:44Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 18:45Speaker 1: All right, your game starts right now, Pam. Maroon five
- 18:50Speaker 1: has a song called Beautiful Mistake. In twenty eighteen, what
- 18:54Speaker 1: US State mistakenly sent out a missile alert to millions
- 18:58Speaker 1: of people?
- 19:01Speaker 3: It was nice?
- 19:05Speaker 1: Damn you got a point, all right. They have a
- 19:09Speaker 1: song called girls like You. You get this? You win
- 19:12Speaker 1: name one star from either TV show Girls or you.
- 19:19Speaker 11: Oh you had same Mitchel on it in the first season.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Let me fact check.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I don't even remember the first season, so.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I just looked it up and you win.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Nice.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Wow again. I thought this is gonna be a little
- 19:37Speaker 1: bit tougher, but you just crushed it. Nice shot, Pam.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Did you watch all of you or did you give
- 19:42Speaker 1: up after the first season?
- 19:43Speaker 11: I watched it all.
- 19:45Speaker 7: I have to finish everything off wid Row.
- 19:47Speaker 3: I got it.
- 19:48Speaker 6: I got it.
- 19:48Speaker 3: It's also a good show though. You want to finish
- 19:50Speaker 3: it all.
- 19:50Speaker 1: You want to watch them see that last season didn't show.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Don't say something, he don't say it in case other
- 19:57Speaker 2: people didn't.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Say things or things or watch things.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Never mind. Pam, congratulations you go to sephar five three things.
- 20:05Speaker 4: You all right?
- 20:06Speaker 1: Just after eight o'clock. Thank you so much for starting
- 20:09Speaker 1: your Thursday with us. Ricky's got those three things.
- 20:11Speaker 2: The Menandaz brothers have their first parole hearing today after
- 20:14Speaker 2: decades of being behind bars. They're going to make their
- 20:17Speaker 2: case for parole starting later today.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Eric and Lyle Mendez were.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Sentenced in nineteen ninety six to life in prison after.
- 20:25Speaker 3: The murder of their parents in nineteen eighty nine.
- 20:27Speaker 2: They became eligible for parole after judge reduced their sentences
- 20:31Speaker 2: back in May from life in prison without the possibility
- 20:33Speaker 2: of parole to fifty years to life. So panel of
- 20:36Speaker 2: parole hearing officers are going to evaluate the brothers individually,
- 20:40Speaker 2: so each one of them are going to have their
- 20:41Speaker 2: own hearing. Eric's hearing starts later today. Lyle's hearing is
- 20:45Speaker 2: going to be held tomorrow. I will keep you updated
- 20:48Speaker 2: on how that pans out. This is something that we
- 20:52Speaker 2: all need to try to help with right now. National
- 20:54Speaker 2: Pride really needs our help. The nonprofit organization is looking
- 20:58Speaker 2: to raise two hundred and fifty thousand dollars by National
- 21:01Speaker 2: Coming Out Day on October eleventh in order to secure
- 21:04Speaker 2: the future of the state's largest LGBTQ plus organization and celebration.
- 21:09Speaker 2: So despite you know, the energy and the passion that
- 21:11Speaker 2: goes into this vestival every year, including this past summer,
- 21:15Speaker 2: National Pride lost a lot of money on the events.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Sponsorships dropped by two hundred and.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Seventy thousand dollars, some just days before the event. Per
- 21:23Speaker 2: National Pride, security costs doubled, medical support canceled last minute,
- 21:28Speaker 2: leaving them with a thirty thousand dollars bill. Severe weather
- 21:31Speaker 2: on Saturday led to a drop in attendance by more
- 21:33Speaker 2: than fifteen thousand people, which means obviously they made less
- 21:36Speaker 2: money that day, so.
- 21:37Speaker 3: They really need our help.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Supporters can visit Save Nationalpride dot org in order to donate.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Donate whatever you can, even if it's just a dollar.
- 21:45Speaker 2: If everybody could donate a dollar, it makes a difference.
- 21:48Speaker 2: So do what you can to make sure that National
- 21:50Speaker 2: Pride continues here in Nashville.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And this is so.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Amazing to me, and you're gonna think I'm psychotic when
- 21:59Speaker 2: you hear what, but Ikea is now selling meatball trays
- 22:03Speaker 2: specifically made for their famous Swedish meatballs. So it's a
- 22:08Speaker 2: twelve twelve piece Gustaf Westman collection.
- 22:12Speaker 3: It launches in September.
- 22:14Speaker 2: It has a chunky blue serving dish that's shaped to
- 22:17Speaker 2: fit exactly eleven of IKEA's Swedish meatballs. The company says
- 22:23Speaker 2: it puts them in a quote celebratory row.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Well, here's my question. Do they can you have those
- 22:29Speaker 1: at home or do you have to be at Ikea
- 22:31Speaker 1: to get those.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I think they started making them where you can take
- 22:35Speaker 2: them home, like in certain supermarkets or whatever.
- 22:38Speaker 3: I feel like if you better, I can't take them
- 22:40Speaker 3: to go, put them in your little dish, heat them
- 22:42Speaker 3: up later. I just think this is so fun, the
- 22:46Speaker 3: designer said.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Quote.
- 22:47Speaker 2: In Sweden, meatballs mean Christmas, and this play is a
- 22:50Speaker 2: way of honoring that tradition. The design is simple, lining
- 22:53Speaker 2: up the meatballs so each one is visible, like they're
- 22:56Speaker 2: sitting on little thrones.
- 22:58Speaker 1: It's cute.
- 22:58Speaker 6: I love it.
- 22:59Speaker 1: It's cute.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You really happy. It's like one of those silly things
- 23:02Speaker 2: that just makes me happy. I'm Ricky Sanchez and those
- 23:04Speaker 2: are the three things.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You need to know.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm learning so much. Did you say in Sweden,
- 23:08Speaker 1: meatballs means Christmas.
- 23:10Speaker 3: That's what he said. I guess they make a lot
- 23:11Speaker 3: of meatballs on Christmas the same.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Okay, all right, I didn't know any of that.
- 23:14Speaker 10: Thank you appreciate it.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Recky, Zach and Menos.
- 23:19Speaker 2: It's tough to hear lyrics in a song which just
- 23:22Speaker 2: leads to you singing the lyrics incorrectly for years and
- 23:25Speaker 2: years and years. It's one of seven five the River.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Zach told us yesterday that he thought this Love by
- 23:31Speaker 3: Maroon five went like.
- 23:33Speaker 6: This love pass, take and lift.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Off and not correct now that we hear it, though
- 23:39Speaker 1: we kind of hear it here it is one more
- 23:41Speaker 1: time I get it, Zach.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Now it's stuck in my head. That's all that I hear.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Here's one that I've been singing for years, Kelly Clark's
- 23:51Speaker 1: and Misindependent. Whatever happened to my cinnamon role? What a
- 23:55Speaker 1: bom my cinnamon buns? I'm sorry, that's what I do.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Not hear that happened to my cinnamon buns?
- 24:02Speaker 6: Really, that is a bop. I kind of hear it
- 24:06Speaker 6: now that you say it. Yeah, what happened to my
- 24:09Speaker 6: cinnamon bud? No?
- 24:11Speaker 3: I don't hear that at all.
- 24:12Speaker 1: That's a strike one. We sing in here every single day.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Gracie abrams bacon, egg and cheese.
- 24:17Speaker 2: This makes me crazy. Kevin does this every single day.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Bacon, egg and cheese. So cool cheese.
- 24:29Speaker 6: I hear it, bacon, egg and cheese. I hate it.
- 24:31Speaker 6: I hate it so much.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And then this is a classic bon Jovi. It doesn't
- 24:36Speaker 1: make a difference if we're naked or not.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Stop it.
- 24:48Speaker 6: What does it say?
- 24:49Speaker 1: If there's many.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Difference if we make it or not?
- 24:50Speaker 2: Then I say classics. I'm gonna get real heated right here.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Bon Jovi is a New Jersey like icon. Sure, so
- 24:57Speaker 2: I'm so upset that you didn't know the actual that song.
- 25:00Speaker 2: You play that in any New Jersey bar and you
- 25:03Speaker 2: will see people scream fall to the ground like it
- 25:07Speaker 2: gets really.
- 25:08Speaker 9: I definitely hear naked or not because I'm I think
- 25:11Speaker 9: you like incepted my brain though, because you said it
- 25:14Speaker 9: and then we listened to it, I was like.
- 25:15Speaker 6: Wait, that's all that I hear, Like, what are the
- 25:17Speaker 6: actual words?
- 25:18Speaker 1: One more time? Naked or not?
- 25:24Speaker 4: It does.
- 25:29Speaker 3: I'm a straw.
- 25:30Speaker 6: Ricky is not happy in that.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Next time you're home in one of those New Jersey bars,
- 25:35Speaker 1: sing my versions.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I would never I would never do that.
- 25:40Speaker 1: If there's a song that you've been struggling with forever,
- 25:42Speaker 1: the lyrics six one five, seven, three seven nine, one
- 25:45Speaker 1: oh seven, we want to hear it?
- 25:46Speaker 8: One O seven five Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
- 25:50Speaker 1: It is the bacon, egg and Cheese song.
- 25:55Speaker 11: Cheese.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I hear bacon, egg and.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Cheese eighteen times a day on one of seven by
- 26:00Speaker 3: the river. That's all he hears.
- 26:01Speaker 1: That's what we're talking about this morning.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Misheard lyrics, Elizabeth and Madison.
- 26:05Speaker 2: What is that song that you just mess up the
- 26:07Speaker 2: lyrics on every time?
- 26:09Speaker 5: So it's the song black Widow Baby. Oh it sounds
- 26:15Speaker 5: like black little baby.
- 26:17Speaker 3: I remember this song.
- 26:18Speaker 2: This is a huge song, and it does kind of
- 26:21Speaker 2: sound like they're saying widtle baby instead of a widow baby.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Like are you saying widow like like baby?
- 26:27Speaker 3: Talk like wittle like baby.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Yeah, there, let's hear it black widow Oh my gosh,
- 26:38Speaker 1: for sure?
- 26:40Speaker 6: Right?
- 26:41Speaker 4: Is that messed up?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yeah, a black widow baby.
- 26:45Speaker 6: It's kind of cuter that way.
- 26:46Speaker 2: I remember seeing that all over social media and somebody
- 26:49Speaker 2: pointing it out and it just took off and I
- 26:51Speaker 2: was like, oh it does.
- 26:52Speaker 6: Sound like that does?
- 26:54Speaker 2: Let's do one more, Stacy and Ashland City, what is
- 26:57Speaker 2: that song that you've been singing the lyrics incorrectly to for.
- 27:00Speaker 7: So, it's the imagine Dragons radio active. Turns out they're
- 27:06Speaker 7: not saying ready to whack you.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I mean the so called radio active.
- 27:14Speaker 7: I didn't know that though. I was just in the
- 27:16Speaker 7: car singing with my kids and they're like, it's not
- 27:20Speaker 7: whack you, mom, it's radio active.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Stopping like they're a bunch of mobsters.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Ready, that's fantastic. I love that, Stacey, thank you for
- 27:31Speaker 3: calling in.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Thank you guys, sane.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Kind of, here we go, let's.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I like, ready, last one does kind of?
- 27:50Speaker 2: I can hear it more in the very last one
- 27:52Speaker 2: where it kind of sounds like ready to whack.
- 27:54Speaker 1: You, whack you?
- 27:57Speaker 4: Reiki Zach and.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Play some audio from a video that one of us found.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It's the Daily Double Tap.
- 28:04Speaker 2: This is gonna kind of make your brain hurt. You're
- 28:07Speaker 2: also then gonna go there is an answer to this,
- 28:10Speaker 2: but like not really, not really.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, let's play it and then well, uh we'll dissect it.
- 28:14Speaker 1: But here we go, Today's Daily Double ten.
- 28:15Speaker 12: Why don't we have a name with the child of
- 28:18Speaker 12: your cousin. People are trying to say that that's also
- 28:20Speaker 12: your cousin. No the hell it isn't. Who the hell
- 28:22Speaker 12: is that that imposts that away from me. That's not
- 28:24Speaker 12: my cousin. I'm closer to being that thing's uncle than
- 28:27Speaker 12: it's cousin. I'm its uncan I'm it's uncle. Like we
- 28:29Speaker 12: have a name for every single member of the family,
- 28:32Speaker 12: even the ones who aren't blood related. Why doesn't this
- 28:34Speaker 12: human get a name? And it bothers me because when
- 28:36Speaker 12: I come and I see my cousin have a child,
- 28:39Speaker 12: I'll start losing it because I don't know who that is.
- 28:41Speaker 12: To me?
- 28:41Speaker 1: Who are you?
- 28:42Speaker 12: You have my blood then, yet I don't know what
- 28:44Speaker 12: to do with you.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I don't know what to do with you.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Why is there not a specific name? It is technically
- 28:50Speaker 1: it's your second cousin or first cousin, want.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Removed, removed what it technically would be, But there is
- 28:58Speaker 2: no just one word for.
- 29:00Speaker 1: If your cousin has a baby, it's your first cousin.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Wants that's it's too much of.
- 29:04Speaker 2: A mouth, which is why most people just say cousin,
- 29:06Speaker 2: because then it's your other cousin.
- 29:07Speaker 3: But he's right, it's not your cousin.
- 29:09Speaker 1: It's definitely not your kid.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Cousin's kid.
- 29:13Speaker 1: The English language, it doesn't make much sense. We need
- 29:15Speaker 1: to come up with the name for Maybe that's a
- 29:17Speaker 1: topic one day of coming up with the name for
- 29:19Speaker 1: your cousin's child.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Okay, let's get creative.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yeah all right, we're gonna post this video. If you
- 29:23Speaker 1: want to see it or share or send it to
- 29:25Speaker 1: your cousin or their child. We'll post it up on
- 29:27Speaker 1: our Instagram stories at one of seven five the river.
