- 0:17SPEAKER_07: That would be crazy.
- 0:19SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 0:20SPEAKER_07: Tell me.
- 0:20SPEAKER_05: Everything has its price.
- 0:22SPEAKER_05: I also believe you get what you pay for.
- 0:24SPEAKER_05: For instance, my wig.
- 0:25SPEAKER_05: It looks like she got shaking up.
- 0:28SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 0:29SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 0:29SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 0:30SPEAKER_07: You did.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: You did a good job, sweetie.
- 0:31SPEAKER_07: Stick around.
- 0:42SPEAKER_06: Hello.
- 0:43SPEAKER_06: Hello.
- 0:43SPEAKER_06: Hi everyone.
- 0:44SPEAKER_06: I'm Gina Spears.
- 0:45SPEAKER_06: And I'm Mike Fields, and this is the big county couch.
- 0:47SPEAKER_06: Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:48SPEAKER_07: Don't I look amazing?
- 0:48SPEAKER_07: But you look amazing.
- 0:49SPEAKER_07: It's been a ride to get here.
- 0:51SPEAKER_07: But uh, I was craving blue for this.
- 0:52SPEAKER_07: I love mean.
- 0:53SPEAKER_07: I really think it brings it all together.
- 0:54SPEAKER_07: Yeah, because I'm wearing fatigues.
- 0:56SPEAKER_07: And it's so I guess that's kind of like in a Kelly Rowland way.
- 0:58SPEAKER_07: I'm like, is that problematic?
- 0:59SPEAKER_07: No.
- 0:59SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:00SPEAKER_07: Uh who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 1:02SPEAKER_07: We're diving right in?
- 1:03SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:03SPEAKER_06: Or do you want to do a weekend gay?
- 1:04SPEAKER_06: Do you have a weekend gay?
- 1:05SPEAKER_06: Um, yeah, I guess I'll start right off the bat.
- 1:08SPEAKER_06: It's like my weekend gay is that like I use like a butt plug for the first time in like uh years and years.
- 1:12SPEAKER_07: I know.
- 1:13SPEAKER_07: Thank God for this fucking pod, because like if we weren't here, I would never find this out.
- 1:18SPEAKER_06: Well, I would absolutely tell definitely type.
- 1:19SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 1:20SPEAKER_06: Because it's like part of my like pelvic floor journey.
- 1:22SPEAKER_06: Remember, we were talking about how it's like, I think I have like a really like tight pelvic floor because we're like anal in.
- 1:27SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, you're a literal tight ass.
- 1:28SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:29SPEAKER_06: Um, so I was like, let me, I gotta do something.
- 1:31SPEAKER_06: I was like gonna go to a physical therapist and basically have him finger me.
- 1:34SPEAKER_06: And I was like, I just think I could probably finger me.
- 1:36SPEAKER_06: We have finger at home.
- 1:37SPEAKER_06: During the pandemic, I got like a little like butt plug training set.
- 1:40SPEAKER_06: So I was like, I've used it maybe like once.
- 1:42SPEAKER_06: So I used like the smallest one, and I was like, this is like sitting on a sharpened pencil.
- 1:46SPEAKER_06: I was like, this is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever done in my entire life.
- 1:49SPEAKER_06: So I went up a size, and obviously it was like better because it's like not a fucking pinprick, and it still was just like a really bad shape though.
- 1:56SPEAKER_06: So it's like ace of spades.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:00SPEAKER_06: Uh I mean it got in, relaxed.
- 2:02SPEAKER_06: This is crazy.
- 2:02SPEAKER_06: Are you plugged up right now?
- 2:03SPEAKER_06: I'm screaming.
- 2:03SPEAKER_06: I'm like, yeah, fully plugged up.
- 2:05SPEAKER_06: I really got uh to a big one by the end of it.
- 2:06SPEAKER_06: No, um if you keep to yourself.
- 2:08SPEAKER_06: But I did it and it was fine, I guess.
- 2:11SPEAKER_06: Like it always goes down to be being like fine.
- 2:13SPEAKER_06: I've never had a good like uh anal experience for for me.
- 2:17SPEAKER_07: Well, we're gonna change that by the end of the end of the body.
- 2:20SPEAKER_06: Side on the big country couch.
- 2:21SPEAKER_07: That's so fun.
- 2:22SPEAKER_07: I'm I'm excited for this journey.
- 2:23SPEAKER_07: Uh, you know, my my grandmother uh I guess had a tight ass also and had to dilate herself with cones provided by the doctor.
- 2:31SPEAKER_07: And I know this, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:32SPEAKER_07: I know this because like I have a tight ass, and I was like, what's my problem?
- 2:34SPEAKER_07: Wait, I knew someone in my family told me that she had to like use cones.
- 2:37SPEAKER_06: I knew that someone in your family had to use cones to widen their ass, but I thought it was your sister.
- 2:40SPEAKER_07: I didn't know it was your grandma.
- 2:43SPEAKER_07: So, yeah.
- 2:44SPEAKER_07: And the cones got big uh towards the end.
- 2:47SPEAKER_07: But uh, what ev's that's so exciting.
- 2:50SPEAKER_07: I want to be plugged up.
- 2:51SPEAKER_06: Sure, but we can make that happen too.
- 2:52SPEAKER_06: Um, no, I thought that was that was worthy of a weekend gay.
- 2:54SPEAKER_06: It's br it's breaking news across the nation.
- 2:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 2:56SPEAKER_07: My I don't really have a weekend gay, or I haven't really given it thought, but my problem is sort of gay.
- 3:01SPEAKER_07: Well, who are you wearing?
- 3:02SPEAKER_07: What is your problem?
- 3:03SPEAKER_07: Let's dive in with you.
- 3:03SPEAKER_07: Yeah, okay.
- 3:04SPEAKER_07: What am I wearing?
- 3:05SPEAKER_07: I'm wearing Michael Kors collection, which I guess is on clearance.
- 3:09SPEAKER_07: Which is how we get anything.
- 3:11SPEAKER_07: It was a mini dress, and our friend Zev from college, what's Zev's last name?
- 3:15SPEAKER_07: Schwartz.
- 3:16SPEAKER_07: Schwartz.
- 3:17SPEAKER_07: Yes, yes, yes.
- 3:18SPEAKER_07: Uh he chopped it in two.
- 3:19SPEAKER_07: I made a two-piece out of it.
- 3:20SPEAKER_07: And now when I sit down, it looks back to the original, like a dress.
- 3:23SPEAKER_07: So that's what we like to do around here.
- 3:24SPEAKER_07: Take it apart and waste our time and other people's time.
- 3:27SPEAKER_07: Um, the shoe is uh Steve Madison by Steve Madden.
- 3:30SPEAKER_06: And uh, if we had shoe cam this season, the our our viewers would see something shocking.
- 3:35SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, my big toe is blasting out of my fish net.
- 3:38SPEAKER_06: Well, the thing the reason why it's blasting on your fish net is because you have the sharpest, longest big toenail.
- 3:43SPEAKER_06: Okay, and it's been a long winter.
- 3:44SPEAKER_06: Sorry to blow up your spot, but it's like we can measure your mental health by like the length of your toenail and like me by like the size of your butt plug.
- 3:50SPEAKER_06: Basically.
- 3:52SPEAKER_07: I'm due, okay.
- 3:52SPEAKER_07: I'm due for a trim.
- 3:53SPEAKER_07: For a trim.
- 3:53SPEAKER_07: A little clippy-poo.
- 3:54SPEAKER_07: But um, these are kind.
- 3:57SPEAKER_07: You're gorgeous.
- 3:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 3:58SPEAKER_07: Do you want to know what my superhero power is?
- 4:00SPEAKER_07: Please.
- 4:01SPEAKER_07: Knowing when to whip out a strappy sandal.
- 4:03SPEAKER_07: Literally.
- 4:03SPEAKER_06: And how do you make that decision?
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: You just feel it in.
- 4:06SPEAKER_07: No, I feel it.
- 4:06SPEAKER_07: There's so many queens that don't have a shoe game at all.
- 4:10SPEAKER_07: And I mean, this is not technically a strappy sandal, but just in general.
- 4:13SPEAKER_07: My actual superpower is full strappy.
- 4:16SPEAKER_07: Because like you don't see it with queens, you know?
- 4:18SPEAKER_07: You see a lot of office mom says, you know, I'm so oh, you didn't watch drag race.
- 4:22SPEAKER_07: We were watching consistently at my place, and I was like, I need a week off.
- 4:24SPEAKER_07: I get it, I get it.
- 4:25SPEAKER_07: But Darlene Mitchell, she was read for her big, chunky, ugly shoes.
- 4:27SPEAKER_06: And I'm like, yeah.
- 4:28SPEAKER_06: There's a lot of shoe problems going on this season, actually.
- 4:30SPEAKER_06: Maybe we'll dive into that.
- 4:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 4:31SPEAKER_07: But uh my point is I'm a superhero.
- 4:33SPEAKER_07: And that's my problem.
- 4:34SPEAKER_06: The X-Men call you.
- 4:34SPEAKER_06: They're like, we need someone crazy who knows straps.
- 4:38SPEAKER_07: And then let's see, I have two problems.
- 4:40SPEAKER_07: So what else are you wearing?
- 4:41SPEAKER_07: Hold on.
- 4:41SPEAKER_07: You're wearing oh oh, this old thing.
- 4:43SPEAKER_07: I'm like skirting the issue.
- 4:45SPEAKER_07: This is a Mongolian shrug, I guess, from Xiin, right?
- 4:48SPEAKER_07: Uh-huh.
- 4:48SPEAKER_07: Right?
- 4:49SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 4:49SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 4:50SPEAKER_07: Where did you get it from?
- 4:50SPEAKER_07: Online.
- 4:51SPEAKER_07: Shein.
- 4:51SPEAKER_07: Shein from China.
- 4:53SPEAKER_07: But it's cute.
- 4:53SPEAKER_07: I love orange.
- 4:54SPEAKER_07: Our guest is in orange.
- 4:56SPEAKER_07: I know what a container memo.
- 4:58SPEAKER_07: Cannot wait.
- 4:58SPEAKER_07: But wait, my problem for starters, I uh melted all my foundation.
- 5:03SPEAKER_06: Oh my god.
- 5:03SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 5:04SPEAKER_07: Seconds before I started my makeup because I it's been freezing in studio.
- 5:08SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 5:08SPEAKER_07: So I have a little space heater.
- 5:10SPEAKER_06: Like this is a good one.
- 5:11SPEAKER_06: We work in an industrial space.
- 5:13SPEAKER_06: Don't let the couch fool you.
- 5:14SPEAKER_06: We're basically outdoors.
- 5:15SPEAKER_06: And it's not a very uncommon thing for drag queens to like heat up their makeup with like a lighter.
- 5:20SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 5:20SPEAKER_06: You want to warm it up.
- 5:21SPEAKER_07: They were literally frozen.
- 5:22SPEAKER_07: So I just put them on the ground.
- 5:23SPEAKER_07: And then you like, I'm not gonna blame you, but you did call me in here to like look at stuff or like talk to me.
- 5:27SPEAKER_07: My fault?
- 5:28SPEAKER_07: Not actually, because like whatever.
- 5:29SPEAKER_07: I should have been like paying attention to that stuff, but like kinda.
- 5:31SPEAKER_07: So I'll build you.
- 5:33SPEAKER_07: But I get back.
- 5:33SPEAKER_07: They're all literally like fucking gone.
- 5:36SPEAKER_07: Yeah, creamed liquid.
- 5:37SPEAKER_07: So it's yeah, it's a different look, it's a different finish today.
- 5:40SPEAKER_07: Um, and then my second problem is uh the German guy slid into my DMs, as you know.
- 5:45SPEAKER_07: Um, the guy who likes to pay me to shave my head.
- 5:48SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 5:48SPEAKER_07: Uh yeah.
- 5:49SPEAKER_07: And so he's back.
- 5:50SPEAKER_07: You know, during the pandemic, I did it a few times.
- 5:52SPEAKER_07: He likes to shell out and uh watch me bick my head and eyebrows.
- 5:58SPEAKER_07: I was you know, I was pressed for money at the time.
- 6:00SPEAKER_07: And now I'm doing fine, I guess.
- 6:02SPEAKER_07: So I the price wasn't right.
- 6:05SPEAKER_07: I missed time.
- 6:06SPEAKER_07: He I'm gonna just come out and say what he was offering.
- 6:09SPEAKER_07: Please.
- 6:09SPEAKER_07: 2500.
- 6:10SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 6:10SPEAKER_07: Bicked head eyebrows.
- 6:12SPEAKER_07: Which I got, that's what I fucking got in 2022.
- 6:15SPEAKER_07: I'm like, okay, inflation.
- 6:16SPEAKER_07: Like, sorry, no.
- 6:18SPEAKER_07: I literally was like, I asked for 3,500.
- 6:20SPEAKER_07: I'm like, sorry.
- 6:20SPEAKER_07: Or I'll just do my head.
- 6:22SPEAKER_07: I would say yes to I I left it off, like I would say I feel like I feel like you should have gone for 5k.
- 6:26SPEAKER_07: It wasn't gonna happen.
- 6:27SPEAKER_07: I did actually.
- 6:28SPEAKER_06: Well, what if you did you offer to shave your bush?
- 6:30SPEAKER_07: Because yeah, and you know what he said?
- 6:31SPEAKER_07: I'm not interested in your dick.
- 6:33SPEAKER_07: I sent a pick.
- 6:34SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 6:34SPEAKER_07: And I was like, this isn't my dick, it's my bush.
- 6:37SPEAKER_07: He said, sorry.
- 6:39SPEAKER_07: But um, my problem is$2,500 sounds amazing.
- 6:43SPEAKER_07: So that's like, you know, you look at a shaved head.
- 6:45SPEAKER_07: You could you could like the brows, I just grew my brows back.
- 6:48SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_07: Because I owe the sniffer dragers.
- 6:49SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I can't.
- 6:50SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I need some self-respect.
- 6:51SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 6:52SPEAKER_07: I think you may.
- 6:52SPEAKER_07: And he's just like a bully.
- 6:53SPEAKER_07: I'm like, you're mean, and just the way you talk to me.
- 6:55SPEAKER_07: I'm like, wait, you want something from me, so shut up.
- 6:56SPEAKER_07: This is my rate.
- 6:57SPEAKER_07: Go get away from me.
- 6:58SPEAKER_07: So I'm blocked and blah, blah, blah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_07: And I think I lost.
- 7:01SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I think I lost.
- 7:01SPEAKER_07: He always comes back.
- 7:02SPEAKER_07: He goes away, comes back.
- 7:03SPEAKER_06: Oh, this isn't this is wild.
- 7:05SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:05SPEAKER_07: So my problem is I lost$2,500.
- 7:07SPEAKER_07: I'm sorry.
- 7:08SPEAKER_07: But I stayed true to myself.
- 7:11SPEAKER_06: Who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 7:13SPEAKER_06: I am wearing um, this is a uh windbreaker by a brand called Landlord, and it costs hundreds of dollars and it has no pockets.
- 7:20SPEAKER_06: And I think that's very apt for landlord.
- 7:21SPEAKER_06: What a brutal name.
- 7:22SPEAKER_06: I know.
- 7:23SPEAKER_06: Sorry.
- 7:23SPEAKER_06: Uh, and I'm wearing car heart jeans.
- 7:25SPEAKER_06: And shout out to whoever, whatever like queen is behind the car heart designs because car hearts make you caked up.
- 7:31SPEAKER_06: They are moody licious.
- 7:33SPEAKER_06: Like every time I wear one, I like I look like I have an an ass, not um a flat board of um plywood.
- 7:38SPEAKER_06: How many layers are we talking about?
- 7:39SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, I'm also wearing sweatpants under them because it's fucking freezing.
- 7:42SPEAKER_06: So I'm looking at your fat suits.
- 7:44SPEAKER_06: Um, and your um camo shirt, because we're doing camo camo.
- 7:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I was excited to see like what it meant like without it being covered up.
- 7:52SPEAKER_06: Sorry.
- 7:54SPEAKER_06: Or like how where are the sleeves?
- 7:55SPEAKER_06: Is it a fucking cap sleeve anymore?
- 7:56SPEAKER_06: Well, it's almost like to there.
- 7:57SPEAKER_06: I mean everything on me is um is short.
- 8:00SPEAKER_06: And then my problem, other than the the tiniest butt plug being horrible.
- 8:05SPEAKER_06: Um my problem teddy ground.
- 8:07SPEAKER_06: Uh okay, so we've gone through like so many different waves of like heated rivalry-related content.
- 8:12SPEAKER_06: Like, I'm getting like other people's uh workout routines to like look like, you know, Shane Hollander or whatever.
- 8:21SPEAKER_06: The whole thing about that is like the secret step that they're not telling you like in that routine is like you have well that, but also it's like just be a full-time celebrity so you have time and uh resources to work out every single fucking day.
- 8:33SPEAKER_06: I could do that routine every day for a year and I would not be anywhere close to to what they they look like.
- 8:38SPEAKER_06: And also, they're five feet tall.
- 8:41SPEAKER_06: Call a gym and a trailer next to your trailer, a trailer and a trainer and another gym.
- 8:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and the steroid bath and the blah blah blah bath the Marvel injections and you know car services to every single thing you need to go to, so you get there on time, assistance to help you coordinate everything.
- 8:54SPEAKER_06: It's just like, yeah, that's the secret step to looking amazing.
- 8:57SPEAKER_06: He did rivalry, I can't.
- 8:58SPEAKER_06: It's like it's too too much.
- 8:59SPEAKER_06: Did you see them uh leading the uh Olympic torch?
- 9:02SPEAKER_07: That made sense.
- 9:03SPEAKER_07: That that that's fine.
- 9:04SPEAKER_07: Because it's like sporty, blah, blah, blah.
- 9:06SPEAKER_07: Like that felt like cool and adjacent to like their hockey story, blah, blah, blah.
- 9:10SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 9:11SPEAKER_07: What I didn't need is him like opening and closing for D Squared.
- 9:14SPEAKER_07: Oh, right.
- 9:15SPEAKER_07: Hudson Williams.
- 9:16SPEAKER_07: Like, it's getting a little cringe for me.
- 9:17SPEAKER_07: I'm sorry.
- 9:18SPEAKER_07: I I I'm happy for both of their success, but I'm like, I need to see less somehow.
- 9:22SPEAKER_07: But speaking of D Squared, this is kind of giving Naomi.
- 9:24SPEAKER_07: I don't know, listeners, viewers, if you know the reference, there's a D Squared show from like maybe 2003, where she's running to a plane in like a fur coat and a hat.
- 9:32SPEAKER_07: That Lana Jeray sort of poorly recreated on the side.
- 9:34SPEAKER_07: I was so annoyed.
- 9:35SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 9:35SPEAKER_07: Because she did, and they she she kind of got red for it.
- 9:38SPEAKER_06: You're rocking like a trucker hat and sort of like aughts highlighted.
- 9:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 9:44SPEAKER_06: With blue streaks.
- 9:45SPEAKER_07: Blue streaks.
- 9:45SPEAKER_07: I like my cousin, that girl me, Lori.
- 9:47SPEAKER_07: Uh-huh.
- 9:47SPEAKER_07: Hi, Lori.
- 9:48SPEAKER_07: Hi, Lori.
- 9:49SPEAKER_07: This is totally you.
- 9:51SPEAKER_07: Um, but yeah, so it is kind of de squared.
- 9:53SPEAKER_07: What were you saying?
- 9:54SPEAKER_07: This girl, like her drink order is Mai Thai is always.
- 9:57SPEAKER_07: Yeah, Mai Thai.
- 9:58SPEAKER_07: She loves hypnotic, obviously, and has a bottle like in the back here.
- 10:02SPEAKER_07: Um, but also like randomly, I was trying to be nuanced with it, maybe in a forceful way.
- 10:06SPEAKER_07: Maybe it doesn't work, but I feel like a Mai Thing like kind of rummy and cringe.
- 10:10SPEAKER_07: No matter what.
- 10:10SPEAKER_06: This girl is all it's rum-based 100%.
- 10:12SPEAKER_07: Like she's at a wedding and she's like, Can I get a Mai Thai?
- 10:15SPEAKER_07: Or at a a meeting, like a dinner.
- 10:18SPEAKER_07: Business Dinner.
- 10:20SPEAKER_07: They're doing those now.
- 10:20SPEAKER_07: Um, how was uh the last episode of Drag Race?
- 10:23SPEAKER_07: I didn't watch it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_07: It was fine.
- 10:24SPEAKER_07: What about Briar fainting or yeah, she she passed out and some people said it was fake or whatnot, but it looked really real.
- 10:32SPEAKER_07: If it was fake, she made some good choices because she went like fupa full, like she she played up her fupa in some sort of way.
- 10:39SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 10:40SPEAKER_07: It was active.
- 10:41SPEAKER_07: Like the the stumble was nuanced to me, so much so that I'm like, that's real.
- 10:45SPEAKER_07: You know?
- 10:46SPEAKER_07: And you recently passed out, so I was like, I saw I sort of like experienced it through like a lens of like it looked real real to me.
- 10:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:52SPEAKER_06: And as I said, fainting is contagious.
- 10:53SPEAKER_06: So I'm surprised like more girls didn't faint like on the stage.
- 10:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's a weird thing to say.
- 10:57SPEAKER_06: Like, is it?
- 10:58SPEAKER_07: I guess like not in because of like germs, but like in like a barfing is contagious, yeah.
- 11:02SPEAKER_06: It's like an anxious thing.
- 11:02SPEAKER_06: It's like if somebody has like a medical emergency on a plane, like very, very commonly, like more people will have one too because they get whatever.
- 11:10SPEAKER_07: Did I tell you um my sister's pregnant?
- 11:11SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:12SPEAKER_07: But I don't think you said it on the pot.
- 11:13SPEAKER_07: I know, congrats.
- 11:14SPEAKER_07: My sister's pregnant with number four or accident baby, but like what the suck?
- 11:18SPEAKER_07: She'd be a girl.
- 11:19SPEAKER_07: She should name her Gina after Uncle Gina.
- 11:23SPEAKER_07: Um, but wait, I've been thinking about those, like, you know, uh like when you're pregnant, or I don't know if you know, like they have those like charts of like you track like how what your baby is the size of.
- 11:34SPEAKER_07: And it's like they're always like so bizarre.
- 11:36SPEAKER_07: It's like this week your baby's the size of a pretzel stick, and then like the next week your baby's the size of a piece of computer paper.
- 11:43SPEAKER_07: It's so like, wait, what's going on?
- 11:45SPEAKER_07: My baby's shape and size.
- 11:48SPEAKER_07: But uh yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_07: What size is she currently?
- 11:51SPEAKER_07: She's um yoga ball with a fedora hat.
- 11:53SPEAKER_07: So things are going well.
- 11:55SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 11:56SPEAKER_06: Congrats.
- 11:56SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much.
- 11:58SPEAKER_06: Oh, um, you were saying somebody sent you a nude.
- 12:02SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 12:03SPEAKER_06: While I was doing my makeup.
- 12:05SPEAKER_06: But you were saying that you uh hate disappearing nudes.
- 12:08SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 12:08SPEAKER_07: I I said to you, am I am I the only person who sends regular nudes like videos and photos that last forever?
- 12:13SPEAKER_07: I'm like, geo tag or like with your license in them.
- 12:16SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 12:17SPEAKER_07: When the time is right, leak it.
- 12:18SPEAKER_07: Do what you gotta do.
- 12:19SPEAKER_07: Uh but you know what I mean?
- 12:20SPEAKER_07: I can't do I can't I can't take uh ephemeral content.
- 12:23SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:24SPEAKER_06: I I agree.
- 12:24SPEAKER_06: I think um I mean I think it's it's uh served its purpose in like the initial stages of like flirting, where it's like, let me send you something and see how it lands, like the excitement of like pressing open and seeing what it looks like, blah, blah, blah.
- 12:35SPEAKER_06: But it's like just cut the shit and get go on, go on, go on.
- 12:37SPEAKER_06: Well, I'm a visual person.
- 12:38SPEAKER_07: I like to go back to things and just be like, what what what did I experience the first time versus now?
- 12:42SPEAKER_07: And like, you know, it annoys me.
- 12:44SPEAKER_06: Agreed.
- 12:45SPEAKER_06: But I I I think I'm similar, however, and this is something that you know, I have some weird setting on my phone that like makes everything go to the cloud and like I have to re-download every photo.
- 12:52SPEAKER_06: So if I'm like scrolling back through a chat, like it's gone.
- 12:54SPEAKER_06: It's like like the attachments are gone.
- 12:56SPEAKER_06: Remember how like you're always trying to find like my attachments and they're they're gone for just like photos of dresses.
- 13:00SPEAKER_06: And it's like your plan to like save data or whatever.
- 13:03SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 13:03SPEAKER_06: Constantly.
- 13:04SPEAKER_07: Constantly.
- 13:04SPEAKER_06: Should we take a break and then bring in our fabulous guests?
- 13:06SPEAKER_06: Definitely.
- 13:07SPEAKER_06: Be right back.
- 13:07SPEAKER_06: Let's do it.
- 13:14SPEAKER_05: I'm reckoning actually the whole business.
- 13:17SPEAKER_07: So is Mike.
- 13:19SPEAKER_07: But I'm the whole face, I guess.
- 13:21SPEAKER_05: Brian assures me that we couldn't do it without me.
- 13:24SPEAKER_05: It's true.
- 13:25SPEAKER_07: So that's funny.
- 13:26SPEAKER_07: I don't hear that too often from Mike.
- 13:28SPEAKER_07: We're gonna have a replacement coming in real soon.
- 13:30SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 13:31SPEAKER_06: And these are just on, right now.
- 13:32SPEAKER_06: They're on, yeah, yeah.
- 13:33unknown: Okay.
- 13:33SPEAKER_06: Do you use headphones on yours?
- 13:35SPEAKER_06: We do, yeah.
- 13:35SPEAKER_06: Chic.
- 13:36SPEAKER_06: Because you hear yourself in them.
- 13:37SPEAKER_06: Is that the reason for it?
- 13:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah, everybody on it.
- 13:39SPEAKER_06: Or you hear everybody?
- 13:39SPEAKER_06: Interesting.
- 13:40SPEAKER_06: We we thought about doing that, and it was like the drag of it all.
- 13:42SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's gotta be hard out.
- 13:44SPEAKER_08: Yeah.
- 13:45SPEAKER_07: I kind of like like the experience of having like cans on, like, you know, for a podcast.
- 13:49SPEAKER_07: Because you're in your head so much.
- 13:50SPEAKER_07: Like it's just like a different experience.
- 13:52SPEAKER_07: So I I always wonder what the product would be if we were a little more, I don't know.
- 13:56SPEAKER_07: I'm like, maybe we'd be more successful if that was the case.
- 13:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah, maybe that's what it's like.
- 13:59SPEAKER_07: That's it, that's it, that's it.
- 14:00SPEAKER_06: Okay, please welcome to the pod.
- 14:02SPEAKER_06: Brian Rubin Sowers, Judson Morrow, host of Dad's and Daddies Podcast.
- 14:06SPEAKER_06: Hi, hi.
- 14:07SPEAKER_06: Welcome, welcome.
- 14:08SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for having me.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: Thank you for coming.
- 14:11SPEAKER_05: So happy to have you.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 14:13SPEAKER_05: I love being, if I may, uh your set is really beautiful.
- 14:16SPEAKER_05: It's like as if they let the gay waiters at Carabas design it.
- 14:21SPEAKER_04: That's perfect.
- 14:23SPEAKER_07: First of all, thank you so much.
- 14:25SPEAKER_07: That's a huge compliment.
- 14:25SPEAKER_07: And second of all, like, you can't say carabas around me because I'm like, oh my God, that's the whole fucking episode.
- 14:30SPEAKER_07: Just talking about carabas.
- 14:32SPEAKER_07: Wowie.
- 14:32SPEAKER_07: Very seasoned food.
- 14:34SPEAKER_07: Do they still exist?
- 14:35SPEAKER_07: You mean salty?
- 14:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 14:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 14:37SPEAKER_05: Uh I don't know, but I did recently eat at an Olive Garden.
- 14:41SPEAKER_05: I went to go see my mom in Ohio and she took in an Olive Garden.
- 14:46SPEAKER_05: She took me out to a nice lunch.
- 14:47SPEAKER_07: Love that.
- 14:49SPEAKER_07: Okay, but Olive Garden lunch is kind of like fierce.
- 14:51SPEAKER_05: I mean, I got the tour of Italy.
- 14:53SPEAKER_05: This was 11 days ago.
- 14:55SPEAKER_05: I still have diarrhoea.
- 14:57SPEAKER_05: Perfect.
- 14:57SPEAKER_05: I'm like, did you get your money's worth?
- 15:00SPEAKER_07: Do you like diarrhea?
- 15:02SPEAKER_07: I mean, I look snatched.
- 15:03SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:04SPEAKER_07: We were saying it before off camera.
- 15:05SPEAKER_07: You do.
- 15:06SPEAKER_07: You do look really snatched.
- 15:07SPEAKER_07: Are you on a program?
- 15:08SPEAKER_07: Yeah, it's called the Olive Garden Tour of Italy.
- 15:10SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 15:12SPEAKER_07: Oh my God.
- 15:12SPEAKER_07: Yeah, 12 stuff.
- 15:14SPEAKER_07: Snatcherella.
- 15:15SPEAKER_07: I love that.
- 15:15SPEAKER_07: I'm off carb, so I'm just like, what is everyone doing?
- 15:18SPEAKER_07: Uh I wear layers.
- 15:19SPEAKER_07: You look amazing.
- 15:20SPEAKER_07: Please.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 15:21SPEAKER_02: That's very sweet.
- 15:21SPEAKER_07: Wait, so are you on a program or not?
- 15:24SPEAKER_07: Oh.
- 15:25SPEAKER_07: I the You're off your vape.
- 15:27SPEAKER_05: I'm off my vape.
- 15:28SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 15:28SPEAKER_05: The program that I'm in is Crystal Math Anonymous.
- 15:32SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, perfect.
- 15:34SPEAKER_05: And Alcoholics Anonymous.
- 15:36SPEAKER_05: So those are my major programs.
- 15:37SPEAKER_05: But nothing like uh, I mean, no carbs is hard.
- 15:43SPEAKER_05: Really struggling.
- 15:45SPEAKER_05: I'm trying to replace nicotine with protein.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: It's so smart.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: It's really smart.
- 15:52SPEAKER_05: It's going really well.
- 15:53SPEAKER_05: Like I noticed today in yoga that I'm getting like a little bit of a, it's not that I'm like swelling so much as I'm just like thickening in general.
- 16:02SPEAKER_05: In the right way.
- 16:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:03SPEAKER_05: It's not that I'm getting like packs necessarily.
- 16:05SPEAKER_05: I'm just getting like wider in the mirror, which I'm I'm in chip.
- 16:08SPEAKER_05: That's great.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:09SPEAKER_05: We love wider in the mirror.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: Literally.
- 16:11SPEAKER_02: I don't.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: But mine is because I'm like eating pints of Hagen Doss peanut butter and chocolate ice cream every night, and I live on Nutella biscuits.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: That's hot.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: That's good too.
- 16:20SPEAKER_07: Do you have a dad bot somewhere in there?
- 16:22SPEAKER_07: I don't think so.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Uh I hope so.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: I'm I mean, I think it's beyond dad bot.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: I need to bring it back to dad bot.
- 16:27SPEAKER_05: Okay, I'm hard.
- 16:28SPEAKER_05: I should probably have I should probably have told you like when we first did um promo photos for the show, um, I sent them to a lot of friends who don't know you.
- 16:37SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:37SPEAKER_05: Um, friends who I've had like before I moved to New York.
- 16:40SPEAKER_05: And like they were very complimentary.
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: Oh, thank you.
- 16:42SPEAKER_05: That's very sweet.
- 16:43SPEAKER_05: I maybe should have mentioned that sooner.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I was in much better shape than oh.
- 16:47SPEAKER_05: Uh fair.
- 16:49SPEAKER_06: Well, as podcast hosts, you have promo photos for your for your podcast.
- 16:54SPEAKER_06: Do you feel how do you feel about like having that be crystallized?
- 16:57SPEAKER_06: Because we have one too, and I had like long hair that I immediately cut like after episode one for some goddamn reason.
- 17:02SPEAKER_06: So it's like I'm forever branded as like having a weird Florence Henderson sort of flip.
- 17:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 17:07SPEAKER_07: A wolf cut.
- 17:08SPEAKER_07: Basically, I wish.
- 17:09SPEAKER_07: I wish.
- 17:10SPEAKER_07: We call it licked by a lion.
- 17:11SPEAKER_07: Like the curl is sort of has that kind of acting.
- 17:13SPEAKER_06: I don't know what I was thinking.
- 17:14SPEAKER_06: I was kind of committed to it, and then I was and I literally committed to it so hard, and now it's like part of our brand.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: So I'm very happy with our photo.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: You want to get them redone now that we're we're approaching um two years.
- 17:24SPEAKER_05: Just for the novelty, but for what you're saying, it's like we did like uh an icon clip art-type logo, and it's exactly how we look right now.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 17:34SPEAKER_05: And sometimes I joke, like, is my beard like Guy Fiari's blonde hair?
- 17:39SPEAKER_05: Do you know how bad he wants to not have blonde hair anymore?
- 17:42SPEAKER_05: Like 25 years later, he's like, Can I please it all the colours?
- 17:47SPEAKER_05: He'll lose it all.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: I'm old and I'm probably gonna have cataract surgery this year.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: And they're telling me that if I do, I won't need glasses anymore.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: And the glasses are the logo.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: That's a huge thing.
- 17:56SPEAKER_07: Cataract surgery, is that like LASIK or no?
- 17:59SPEAKER_07: Uh, it's replacing the lens like in your eyes.
- 18:01SPEAKER_07: Which is insane that that's something that can be done.
- 18:03SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 18:03SPEAKER_07: Appeal my Magnovanky.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: But I'll have to then wear like fake glasses just to match our logo, is my point.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: Great, they're really cheap anymore.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: That's cool.
- 18:10SPEAKER_07: Okay, you're Gregory's coffee.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: Our logo does look like Gregory's coffee when my kids see the Gregory's coffee logo.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: So like that's how it looks like your podcast.
- 18:19SPEAKER_05: I have a crush on the Gregory's coffee logo.
- 18:22SPEAKER_05: It's cool.
- 18:22SPEAKER_05: He's giving BDE.
- 18:25SPEAKER_07: I mean, I'm sure you guys know it's coffee cups, right?
- 18:28SPEAKER_07: Yes, dear God.
- 18:28SPEAKER_07: I mean, you know, you never fucking know.
- 18:30SPEAKER_07: My God.
- 18:31SPEAKER_07: You know that Starbucks that's a mermaid, right?
- 18:33unknown: Yeah.
- 18:34SPEAKER_07: It's based on me.
- 18:37SPEAKER_07: Of course I know.
- 18:38SPEAKER_07: Well, on our pod, we do a little segment called Who Are You Wearing and What Is Your Problem?
- 18:42SPEAKER_07: Yeah So, Judson, because you're closest, I'm gonna start with you.
- 18:44SPEAKER_07: Judson, who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 18:47SPEAKER_05: Uh, who am I wearing?
- 18:48SPEAKER_05: We like it petty, we like it dumb.
- 18:50SPEAKER_05: Amazing.
- 18:51SPEAKER_05: Who am I wearing?
- 18:52SPEAKER_05: Uh, Marky Bike by Marketto, by MK, by Marc Jacobs.
- 18:57SPEAKER_05: This is my only designer piece.
- 18:59SPEAKER_05: It was a gift from a friend.
- 19:01SPEAKER_05: And I'm also wearing, I'm going through a midlife crisis and can't afford like a boat or a jet ski, so I'm just dressing like a 17-year-old.
- 19:09SPEAKER_05: I'm wearing Pacific Sunwear wide leg jeans.
- 19:12SPEAKER_08: You look great.
- 19:14SPEAKER_05: And like moon boots.
- 19:16SPEAKER_05: Oh, and uh, I got these North Face uh like fluffer booties that I kind of got just to be really practical and was shocked by how frequently that they get complimented.
- 19:29SPEAKER_07: Yeah, they're insane.
- 19:30SPEAKER_05: Because they're I think they're a little, I think they're a little nostalgic for people.
- 19:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and I definitely feel like a six-year-old.
- 19:36SPEAKER_07: Like it's like a puffer boot made into a little shoe.
- 19:38SPEAKER_07: It's cute.
- 19:39SPEAKER_05: Um, what is my problem?
- 19:41SPEAKER_05: It is very I'm gonna pick it.
- 19:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, pick one.
- 19:45SPEAKER_05: Um it two things.
- 19:47SPEAKER_05: Uh I'm BP2, that's bipolar two, and dude, this dust up is fucking rough.
- 19:54SPEAKER_05: It just won't go away.
- 19:55SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
- 19:56SPEAKER_05: Uh, we've been through it.
- 19:57SPEAKER_05: Uh, the other thing is it takes a particularly long time to get anywhere in New York City at the moment.
- 20:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 20:03SPEAKER_05: Because once they do clean up the snow, there's just like kind of single passageways everywhere.
- 20:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 20:09SPEAKER_05: So you're all kind of like waiting for one side to go.
- 20:12SPEAKER_05: It's like a switchback kind of thing.
- 20:14SPEAKER_07: For sure.
- 20:14SPEAKER_07: I've been walking into oncoming traffic this whole week.
- 20:16SPEAKER_05: Like literally.
- 20:17SPEAKER_05: And I'm like, oh whatever.
- 20:18SPEAKER_05: Or you get to you get to uh the end of the sidewalk and they haven't even like plowed that part of the crosswalk.
- 20:26SPEAKER_05: So you go out the opposite side and around into a puddle of dubious step.
- 20:31SPEAKER_05: Like complaining about the weather is not that controversial, but it's like very good.
- 20:38SPEAKER_06: And it's the snow will not go away probably until like April because it's so tall.
- 20:42SPEAKER_06: It's like they're five foot tall mounds of snow that they're just like shoved at the corners of every street.
- 20:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 20:46SPEAKER_06: Temperatures are not getting high enough.
- 20:48SPEAKER_06: It's gonna snow again soon.
- 20:49SPEAKER_06: It's gonna snow again this weekend.
- 20:50SPEAKER_06: It's gonna be horrible.
- 20:51SPEAKER_06: Kill me.
- 20:51SPEAKER_06: We were talking yesterday as we were as we were um freezing outside that we would so much prefer to be hot than cold ever.
- 20:59SPEAKER_06: Absolutely.
- 21:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 21:00SPEAKER_06: Because you can like, if you just stand still when it's hot, you're you can survive.
- 21:03SPEAKER_06: But like you can't stand still when you're cold.
- 21:05SPEAKER_06: You can't do anything when you're cold.
- 21:06SPEAKER_05: There's no, it's just horrendous.
- 21:08SPEAKER_05: I'm trained for the heat.
- 21:09SPEAKER_05: Like I go to hot yoga four or five times a week.
- 21:13SPEAKER_05: It's 113 degrees in there.
- 21:15SPEAKER_05: That's what I want to hear.
- 21:16SPEAKER_05: I want the real bicrom.
- 21:17SPEAKER_05: It's 113 degrees.
- 21:19SPEAKER_05: You're moving your body.
- 21:20SPEAKER_05: So when it's like 98 in the city, I'm just like bringing up suckers.
- 21:25SPEAKER_07: You're like, I'm cool, comic.
- 21:28SPEAKER_07: You know, they offer like a like a hot, a warm yoga, or it's like 94 or like whatever.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: I'm like, come on, hit me with the hot clock.
- 21:34SPEAKER_07: I want the molten lava like experience, you know?
- 21:37SPEAKER_05: Oh yeah.
- 21:37SPEAKER_05: Warm.
- 21:38SPEAKER_05: I don't want warm.
- 21:39SPEAKER_05: No.
- 21:40SPEAKER_05: I'm again, I'm depressed.
- 21:41SPEAKER_05: And I want that very traumatic 113.
- 21:46SPEAKER_07: That is amazing.
- 21:46SPEAKER_07: Like 113 is where it needs to be.
- 21:48SPEAKER_05: That's what I think that my BP girlies are.
- 21:50SPEAKER_05: Like you're if you're in a 113 degree.
- 21:52SPEAKER_05: You're unwell.
- 21:53SPEAKER_05: You're you are on working through it.
- 21:56SPEAKER_07: Totally.
- 21:56SPEAKER_07: I'm not BP, I'm OCD and plagued with crippling exactly.
- 22:00SPEAKER_07: So see you there.
- 22:01SPEAKER_07: See you in the background.
- 22:02SPEAKER_07: Well, I love what you're wearing.
- 22:04SPEAKER_07: I love your arm.
- 22:04SPEAKER_07: Wait, describe it.
- 22:06SPEAKER_06: Describe the sweatshirt because it's um perfectly matching genus.
- 22:09SPEAKER_05: But also it's I know you both got the hoodie, man, like the cozy vibe.
- 22:12SPEAKER_05: Uh, I guess this was a promo piece for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
- 22:17SPEAKER_05: There's a quote from the movie on the back.
- 22:20SPEAKER_05: It's in such great.
- 22:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 22:23SPEAKER_05: I honestly don't know where my friend got this, but he was just like, I hope it's a rap gift.
- 22:28SPEAKER_05: You wear things triple X large.
- 22:29SPEAKER_05: Just say it was a rap gift, like from the shoe.
- 22:31SPEAKER_05: Like that'd be perfect.
- 22:32SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 22:33SPEAKER_05: Actually, Marc Jacobs sent it to us when we kicked off the podcast.
- 22:37SPEAKER_05: We love Mark Jacob.
- 22:37SPEAKER_06: He sends the best gifts so sweet.
- 22:40SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 22:41SPEAKER_06: And you also are coordinating with your earrings and accessories and your glasses.
- 22:45SPEAKER_07: Are you an orange girly to begin with?
- 22:46SPEAKER_07: I love coordinated orange girls.
- 22:48SPEAKER_05: I love orange.
- 22:49SPEAKER_05: We do.
- 22:50SPEAKER_05: And like we were talking about cheap glasses.
- 22:53SPEAKER_05: Like, Brian, when you don't have to wear glasses anymore, like anymore, glasses online are like 20 bucks.
- 22:59SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 22:59SPEAKER_05: And even with prescription, they're like 50.
- 23:02SPEAKER_05: And if you work it like I do with your FSA dollars, it feels free.
- 23:06SPEAKER_05: So I just I don't know how money works.
- 23:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah, man.
- 23:12SPEAKER_06: Neither do we.
- 23:13SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 23:13SPEAKER_07: He's done all this, yeah.
- 23:14SPEAKER_07: I'm like, we have joint banking, right?
- 23:16SPEAKER_07: Yes, Jador.
- 23:19SPEAKER_07: That's amazing.
- 23:20SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 23:20SPEAKER_07: Now, Brian, who are you wearing and what is your problem?
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: Well, I cannot wait.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: Uh, I am wearing uh the Brooks Marks uh sweatsuit uh as debuted on season one of the Real Hops of Solic City.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: Excuse me, Real Hops of Solid City.
- 23:34SPEAKER_06: Which like generation this is from?
- 23:35SPEAKER_06: Is this like the OG printing run?
- 23:37SPEAKER_06: I believe.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: So we got this right away.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: My husband got it for me.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: So this is an investment.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: This is like this is gonna pay for uh.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: This is going behind.
- 23:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: This better be behind Plexy soon.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: Um, I well, that's what I feel about his like Eternal Sunshine Collector's item sweatshirt that he's just wearing around the city.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Um, as you know, like I packed this carefully, I got dressed here, there was no way I was wearing this out in the snow.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, we ordered this right away.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: I know people who have ordered it more recently, and their orders just seem to have gone into the ether.
- 24:05SPEAKER_06: But um, is wants to happen with uh anything Housewives products.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Housewives products.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: No, I'm very proud of my Brooksmarks uh sweatsuit.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: Geneza Um That is I feel honored to see it in person.
- 24:15SPEAKER_07: Thank you.
- 24:16SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 24:17SPEAKER_07: Do you know who walked it in the show?
- 24:19SPEAKER_07: Oh my god.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: It was literally on the first season of Real House of Salt Lake City, there was a fashion show in Park City, Utah, I believe on Main Street there, um, which I'm strangely familiar with because my father lives in uh Park City.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Um I have I have been in Meredith Mark's uh boutique.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: Have you been to Boogie Lab and Laser?
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: Uh you know, I have not.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: That's in Salt Lake City, so it's a farther drive.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: I do want to go, but I've been to the Shah Chalet because um where that was rated.
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: My father lives on the same street.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: He lives like doors down from the Shah Chalet.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: He called them in.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: He may have called them in if he had anything in the world about the real housewives.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: Um but my my father and his wife have uh friends who are uh friends of Meredith's and like appeared in the first season and like she wasn't quite a friend of, but she kept showing up in she worked with Meredith in her store.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: Um so anyway, uh on that first season there was a fashion show in Park City and uh that Brooks was doing, and the only item that was shown off in this uh fashion show was this sweatsuit worn by like 12 different models.
- 25:23SPEAKER_07: Unbelievable.
- 25:24SPEAKER_07: I'm kind of like now like is that was that genius?
- 25:26SPEAKER_06: Like it is I mean I mean yes it was it's genius slash desperate, which like makes it even more genius.
- 25:30SPEAKER_06: It's like what are we gonna do?
- 25:32SPEAKER_06: We only have one sweatsuit.
- 25:33SPEAKER_06: Let's just copy and paste it 12 times.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: So you're a Bravo watcher.
- 25:36SPEAKER_06: I am, yes.
- 25:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: And you are a sometime Bravo watcher.
- 25:39SPEAKER_06: Bravo light.
- 25:39SPEAKER_06: Okay, just a little.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: Um I thought I hated Brooks, but then on Next Gen NYC, I kind of fell in love with Brooks.
- 25:44SPEAKER_06: See, I I'm mostly the Housewives, I not not the satellite, but but I I I appreciate Brooks's presence in Housewives.
- 25:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 25:52SPEAKER_06: I think he's um iconically detached.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: But in the next gen NYC, he's like he's the main character and he's quite lovable.
- 26:00SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 26:00SPEAKER_06: I you know I didn't know.
- 26:01SPEAKER_06: I did veer I did veer back into um Vanderpump during the Scandal stuff, and then I tried to watch the first uh season of the new reboot, but I kind of dipped out again.
- 26:09SPEAKER_06: But but maybe I'll give uh next gen NYC.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, it's fabulous.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: Um God, what's my problem?
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: There are so many please um as tired.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Your daughter wants to go.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: I think I didn't even know your problem.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I did come in here complaining today that I got in a little bit of trouble at home uh because some so my husband and I, we have two daughters, uh hence the dads of dads and daddies.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: And um they are 10 and 7, so fifth grade and second grade.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: I will interject.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: No, it's I they're actually amazing ages, like they because they're like they still are obsessed with us, they're obsessed with each other.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're still innocent, like still innocent and sweet.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: Um, and uh, and yeah, it's it's they're not quite monsters yet, you know.
- 26:51SPEAKER_05: We're not at euphoria yet.
- 26:53SPEAKER_05: Um I can see it though.
- 26:55SPEAKER_05: I spend a lot of time with these children.
- 26:57SPEAKER_05: It's coming rapidly.
- 26:58SPEAKER_05: They love Uncle Jenny.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: So uh anyway, my husband and I alternate who gets up with the kids each morning.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: And this morning it was my morning to get up with the kids and get them off to school.
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: And uh the younger one, the seven-year-old who's in second grade, really did quite the performance this morning to convince me that she could not go to school.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: Um, that she had a stomachache, there were tears.
- 27:23SPEAKER_02: Uh, and uh we have a rule that unless you have thrown up, you're going to school.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: Um she really sold me.
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: I just couldn't do it.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: And the day before, at school, we had heard from the teachers that she wasn't having a great day and she wanted to be picked up early, and we said no, she's gotta tough it out.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Uh so I was like, oh my god, I'm gonna send her to school.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: Second day in a row, the teacher's gonna be like, You horrible parents, why do you keep sending this poor child to school?
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: She's having a time.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: And I and I sent my husband an email so he'd read it when he woke up.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: I was like, Hey, I I because I was gonna go into my office today, I said I'll stay home with her, but she's staying home.
- 27:59SPEAKER_02: And then I just can email back as I'm like pulling back into the house from dropping the older one off saying, Well, she's all giggles now, and just with a shrug emoji.
- 28:07SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 28:08SPEAKER_07: Tell me it was like the old school, like a modicon, like you know, that'd be crazy.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: Tell me.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: And and my older one was pissed that I didn't let her stay home, also.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: So she was barely speaking to me when I dropped her off.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: And so when I got home, the the tradition is uh, you know, we always check in with each other, my husband and and and me after we whoever comes back from dropping them off just to see how the morning went.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: And he was not happy with me.
- 28:34SPEAKER_02: And uh and he said, Well, how was the older one?
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: And I said, Well, she was barely speaking to me because I let her younger one stay home.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Right, right, right.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: And he just very silently nodded and like turned back to his computer.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: I was like, wow.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: So I was iced out for much of the day, but we're we're fine now.
- 28:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I love that she scammed you.
- 28:52SPEAKER_07: Wow, my kind of girl, like that's crazy.
- 28:54SPEAKER_02: But um you said she like stayed home and read.
- 28:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, this is the thing.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: I the girl said to her, I was like, you are not on screens today.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: There's no TV, there's no iPad.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: And she didn't.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: She ended up, we she has this book series uh called it's a uh called it's about a pig named Mercy Watson, and uh who lives in a is being raised like a pet.
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: And it's a six-book series.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: And I think this morning she was had just started the second one, and by the end of the day, she'd finished the whole series.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: And these are like chapter books for uh her grade level, so I was very proud.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: And she also uh I I was also saying she has her first loose tooth.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: Oh and so she spent some time writing a letter to the tooth fairy because she's concerned about the weather and that the tooth fairy is gonna have a hard time getting here.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: Uh so she suggested the tooth fairy send the winter tooth fairy, which is that's a that's a Hallmark movie.
- 29:44SPEAKER_06: That's a that's a franchise.
- 29:46SPEAKER_07: That's like that's also my next drag look.
- 29:48SPEAKER_07: You gotta figure that out, whatever that means.
- 29:49SPEAKER_07: Seasonal Tooth Fairy.
- 29:50SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you have four separate tracks that you could work on.
- 29:54SPEAKER_06: And they're all dolls that you can buy.
- 29:55SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 29:56SPEAKER_06: This is a billion-dollar idea right here.
- 29:58SPEAKER_06: I'm locked in.
- 29:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, this is a billion-dollar idea.
- 30:00SPEAKER_05: I have a question about the reading.
- 30:02SPEAKER_05: Um, does schools still have Book It?
- 30:05SPEAKER_05: Do you remember Book It?
- 30:06SPEAKER_05: I don't.
- 30:07SPEAKER_05: Do you remember Book It?
- 30:10SPEAKER_05: Okay, so I'm 43 today.
- 30:12SPEAKER_05: I was just gonna ask no, no, no, no.
- 30:14SPEAKER_05: Sorry, no, no, no.
- 30:15SPEAKER_05: It's not my I'm as of now.
- 30:18SPEAKER_05: Betty, like directly in your face.
- 30:20SPEAKER_05: I'm 43 as of now.
- 30:22SPEAKER_05: I was in elementary school in the 80s, and they had this program called Book It, which was this uh partnership with Pizza Hut.
- 30:30SPEAKER_05: That if you read a book, your teacher gave you a coupon for a free personal pan pizza.
- 30:36SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 30:36SPEAKER_05: So it was like we're bribing children to read with pizza, and you better believe I read a shit ton of books over it.
- 30:42SPEAKER_05: Yeah, bribery is a great tactic for reading.
- 30:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I used to have to deep dish.
- 30:47SPEAKER_06: Bring back book it.
- 30:48SPEAKER_05: Montani, bring back book it to New York City.
- 30:50SPEAKER_06: Yeah, hey, book book Pizza Hunt.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: We know you're listening.
- 30:53SPEAKER_07: But I was gonna say, with these kids, it'd have to be like sushi or like probate or like or like a spa day.
- 31:01SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:02SPEAKER_07: I tweeted that like one time when Twitter was still like Twitter, uh, that like it's annoying that kids like hummus and sushi and all that.
- 31:09SPEAKER_07: It's like try a gusher, sweetie.
- 31:11SPEAKER_07: Like, right, right, right.
- 31:12SPEAKER_07: So annoying.
- 31:13SPEAKER_07: But I love it.
- 31:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:15SPEAKER_07: Well, that is hard.
- 31:16SPEAKER_07: It's hard.
- 31:16SPEAKER_07: That's amazing that you're a parent to begin with.
- 31:18SPEAKER_07: And also you were duped.
- 31:20SPEAKER_07: That's that's crazy.
- 31:20SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:21SPEAKER_06: So what a morning.
- 31:22SPEAKER_06: Now, um, did you watch the final part of the Salt Lake Reunion?
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Of course I did.
- 31:27SPEAKER_06: And how did you feel about this, the end of this season?
- 31:30SPEAKER_06: And sorry, and sorry to subject the two of you to this, but um No, no, no, I say this all the time.
- 31:35SPEAKER_05: Like when Brian goes on to like beat like B-sides of like obscure musicals of the 1970s, or like really anything Sondheim, because uh uh the sniper site hits you.
- 31:47SPEAKER_05: I did this is when I take time to sing Britney Spears to myself.
- 31:51SPEAKER_05: It's really quite sweet.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: I so I will tell you actually, uh one of my many opinions of the Salt Lake reunion last night that was uh sad to me.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: So, you know, we um Dads and Daddies, we speak, we're both married, we're both in what we consider to be very uh happy and successful open marriages.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: And uh one of the things that happened on this season of Househers of Salt Lake City was Bronwyn Newport uh bringing the idea of opening their marriage to her husband, uh, which I was so heartened by because I think the reason, one of the many reasons that it gets so frowned upon in our world is because it is so scandalous to talk about in the hetero world, right?
- 32:34SPEAKER_02: And so for this like real housewife to be bringing this up on camera with her husband, I was like, oh, that's so amazing to be normalizing this conversation in the straight world.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: And then she comes on the reunion, the third part of the reunion, and she's like, Yeah, I regretted saying that.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: And actually, I didn't want to do that.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: The fact of the matter is, I didn't really want that, and now we're separated.
- 32:52SPEAKER_08: I was like, oh no.
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: I was like, I was so excited for you to be like a cheerleader for us.
- 32:58SPEAKER_06: That does sound cool.
- 32:58SPEAKER_06: Like, you know, like she also the way she delivered it in that episode when she rolled it out to Todd, it was so just like kind of matter of fact and casual and it was exactly what we was like, okay, maybe this is the start of something positive for them and for other people, but then it turned out.
- 33:15SPEAKER_05: Like it wasn't, I mean, I didn't see it, but like I I know that opening is often talked about as like this last resort.
- 33:22SPEAKER_05: It's like, well, we've tried everything else, we might as well fuck other people, or it's this concession because one of you is a sex addict.
- 33:30SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 33:31SPEAKER_05: It's neither of those things.
- 33:32SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 33:33SPEAKER_05: I'm sorry we lost an ally.
- 33:34SPEAKER_04: I know, and like, well, I don't know.
- 33:36SPEAKER_04: Bronwyn might be more than an ally.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: I don't I don't know.
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: She I mean, she's incredible.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: I love Bronwyn.
- 33:41SPEAKER_06: But she admitted to having um same-sex experiences on uh in an earlier episode.
- 33:45SPEAKER_06: And I also I have this, I just have this feeling that like she and Whitney are like in love.
- 33:50SPEAKER_06: Like something about their interaction with the most recent episode, it was so connected and like emotional.
- 33:56SPEAKER_06: I was like, I think they have had sex.
- 33:59SPEAKER_06: I just I'm just I kind of hope so.
- 34:01SPEAKER_06: That'd be amazing.
- 34:01SPEAKER_06: I think she's gonna come out as lesbian in the next season.
- 34:03SPEAKER_06: Not to you know, forecast, but that'd be so fun.
- 34:05SPEAKER_06: I think it would be amazing, yeah.
- 34:06SPEAKER_07: At least to secure that storyline, yeah.
- 34:07SPEAKER_07: Yeah, next season.
- 34:08SPEAKER_07: I hear tidbits of like Salt Lake because I used to watch one, two, and three, like when it aired.
- 34:13SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and um now I dropped off.
- 34:15SPEAKER_07: But uh I heard she was kind of floppatina, like she she didn't kill the reunion or something.
- 34:20SPEAKER_07: Who, Bronwin?
- 34:20SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 34:21SPEAKER_06: Oh, she's a little she was a little reserved and quiet.
- 34:23SPEAKER_06: Or at least the first two parts.
- 34:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then finally this last part, he got her to admit that they're separated, she and her husband, and then it became all about Bronwyn.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: She kind of gave her first seat, right?
- 34:33SPEAKER_02: Next to Angie.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: What the fuck?
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 34:36SPEAKER_02: I'm guessing that was negotiated because they knew that she was gonna reveal this news.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: That's all I can figure out.
- 34:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, probably.
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: Because she wasn't the start.
- 34:42SPEAKER_06: No, they they're playing, they're doing some interesting math on Salt Lake because Angie's center center snowflake.
- 34:49SPEAKER_06: I know.
- 34:49SPEAKER_06: Which is like, I feel like that was punishment to both Lisa and Heather for things that they had done in seasons prior, like Heather dragging production about getting punched by Tenshaw.
- 34:57SPEAKER_04: This is what our podcast could be if you watch Bravo.
- 34:59SPEAKER_07: It could be a Bravo podcast.
- 35:01SPEAKER_07: So they were like, you're going the left and the right.
- 35:05SPEAKER_07: That was exactly the salt.
- 35:06SPEAKER_07: Tell me, oh my god.
- 35:08SPEAKER_06: You're craving a bath.
- 35:10SPEAKER_06: I've been re-watching um uh Salt Lake through the lens of my my husband because he's watching it for the first time from the beginning, and it's so interesting to see it all kind of replay out in uh rapid succession.
- 35:22SPEAKER_06: You really see like everybody's core character traits in in in this like condensed way.
- 35:26SPEAKER_06: And uh Meredith Marks, no offense to Brooks, um, she really is a pain.
- 35:33SPEAKER_06: Oh, she's awful.
- 35:34SPEAKER_06: She's really a pain.
- 35:34SPEAKER_06: She's awful.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: Um, it's so funny.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: So I really wanted to get Judson into at least Salt Lake City.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Um, and I was like, Yeah, well, I just don't know where I would get you, where I would tell you to start.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: And he was like, Well, with Salt Lake City, and uh, and like it became very clear that he didn't realize that each franchise is like seasons and seasons, seasons.
- 35:54SPEAKER_02: I was like, No, no, no, we're in season six and each one is 20-something episode.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: He's like, Oh, we're on homework.
- 35:59SPEAKER_05: And I'm like not a big the other thing is too, is like I'm just not a huge TV person.
- 36:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I love it.
- 36:04SPEAKER_05: Like, I really do like a driver.
- 36:06SPEAKER_05: And I'm not trying to be one of those gals that's like, I don't have a television.
- 36:10SPEAKER_05: That's not it.
- 36:10SPEAKER_05: It's just don't be above it.
- 36:12SPEAKER_05: Just kidding, I'm not above it.
- 36:14SPEAKER_05: Like we have a TV.
- 36:16SPEAKER_05: Um I I really my primary TV watching is like with my husband because we'll have like a show together.
- 36:23SPEAKER_05: Um, we really only have cable so he can watch the tennis channel.
- 36:27SPEAKER_05: And I just like don't get into TV like really independently.
- 36:31SPEAKER_05: And you're right, like I still haven't watched Heated Rivalry.
- 36:35SPEAKER_05: Not because I'm like anti and I'm even over the hump of like, well, if the hype is this crazy, can it even be that good?
- 36:41SPEAKER_05: It just takes me a long time.
- 36:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and now you're especially in like a weird space because like it's like what you ever need.
- 36:48SPEAKER_05: Like your your algorithm is now like the next level of like people aren't even talking about the show, right?
- 36:54SPEAKER_05: They're using it as a platform for inspirational gym routines or the cottage industry around you.
- 37:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:02SPEAKER_04: Wow, look at that, look at that.
- 37:05SPEAKER_05: Even I knew what that meant.
- 37:08SPEAKER_06: Like, yeah, if TV's like, if it's not your thing, it's it's not not your thing.
- 37:12SPEAKER_07: I would love to hear that because like I find not many people like are like that, and I'm like that.
- 37:17SPEAKER_07: I last episode was sort of like, oh wait, I forgot I had the have this extensive cable package I'm paying for.
- 37:23SPEAKER_07: I never like use it.
- 37:25SPEAKER_05: And I have to be pretty, like it's gotta like really grab me for it to stay on my mind when I'm not around the television.
- 37:34SPEAKER_05: Like, I actually loved I Love LA, and I thought about I Love LA when I was not watching TV.
- 37:42SPEAKER_05: Did you watch I Love LA?
- 37:43SPEAKER_05: I would be I would be out in my day, and I was just like, wow, God, they like acted their asses off in that scene.
- 37:49SPEAKER_02: What's her last name?
- 37:50SPEAKER_07: Oh, is that Rachel Sennett's show?
- 37:52SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:53SPEAKER_07: Oh, okay.
- 37:53SPEAKER_07: Love Rachel Sennett.
- 37:54SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 37:55SPEAKER_07: It's on my list.
- 37:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 37:56SPEAKER_07: Highly recommended.
- 37:57SPEAKER_07: So it exactly.
- 37:59SPEAKER_07: As like a non-TV person, it's so my list is long.
- 38:02SPEAKER_07: What, eight episodes?
- 38:03SPEAKER_06: Well, that's the new thing about TV.
- 38:04SPEAKER_06: I mean, it's there's no better time to get into TV than right now because it's like seasons are four episodes long.
- 38:08SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it used to be like 48 episodes, and now it's like two.
- 38:11SPEAKER_06: It's a mini-series.
- 38:12SPEAKER_05: The Netflix, I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 38:14SPEAKER_05: I was gonna say Netflix just came out with a three-episode miniseries of an Agatha Christie novel, and I'm just like, this is perfect.
- 38:20SPEAKER_05: Like it's three hours, it's three one-hour sections.
- 38:23SPEAKER_05: This is how Netflix needs to actually break down movies for me.
- 38:26SPEAKER_05: Because then I will watch movies.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: Like just break down movies into three one hour sections.
- 38:32SPEAKER_02: They're also about to put out a three-part series, a docuseries about America's next top model.
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: I was hoping.
- 38:37SPEAKER_07: We had to talk about that.
- 38:38SPEAKER_07: It was on my list too.
- 38:40SPEAKER_07: I cannot wait.
- 38:40SPEAKER_07: Cannot wait.
- 38:41SPEAKER_07: I'm seated.
- 38:42SPEAKER_07: We should have a screening.
- 38:43SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 38:43SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we should.
- 38:44SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 38:45SPEAKER_07: See you there, see you there.
- 38:46SPEAKER_07: Oh my god, it's cool.
- 38:48SPEAKER_07: I didn't.
- 38:49SPEAKER_07: Oh my gosh.
- 38:50SPEAKER_07: I didn't.
- 38:51SPEAKER_07: Get out.
- 38:51SPEAKER_07: Get out of here.
- 38:52SPEAKER_05: Get out of here.
- 38:53SPEAKER_05: What did I even want?
- 38:54SPEAKER_05: What did I even want?
- 38:55SPEAKER_05: There was like 10 years where I watched no tele.
- 38:57SPEAKER_05: I think like the only thing I watched in an entire decade was all of Gossip Girl.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Well, which if you're gonna watch one show.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: What did you think of Leighton Meester in uh I Love LA?
- 39:09SPEAKER_05: I actually didn't Leighton, I apologize.
- 39:12SPEAKER_05: I wasn't able to place you.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Neither was I.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: I was like, who is that?
- 39:16SPEAKER_07: And I didn't hear about it.
- 39:17SPEAKER_07: I'm like, oh, the role is really uh featured background?
- 39:20SPEAKER_05: Like I love that she has a pretty good show, but like when she shows up, you're just like, I know I know you.
- 39:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but like I was like, is that Judy Greer?
- 39:31unknown: Right?
- 39:32SPEAKER_07: Crazy.
- 39:33SPEAKER_07: It's crazy to compare her to Judy Greer, but I love Judy Greer.
- 39:37SPEAKER_07: Wow, yeah, they look nothing alike.
- 39:39SPEAKER_07: I love that.
- 39:39SPEAKER_07: Well, but H and U.
- 39:40SPEAKER_07: She is giving Judy Greer energy.
- 39:42SPEAKER_07: That's a really perfect call out.
- 39:44SPEAKER_07: Okay, okay.
- 39:44SPEAKER_07: And that is such a thing.
- 39:45SPEAKER_07: That Judy Greer type guy.
- 39:47SPEAKER_07: Yes, truly.
- 39:49SPEAKER_07: Oh but wait, sorry, back to Top Model.
- 39:52SPEAKER_07: I am the phone a friend for Top Model.
- 39:53SPEAKER_07: Like, truly.
- 39:54SPEAKER_07: He truly is.
- 39:55SPEAKER_07: It's like the one thing I know.
- 39:56SPEAKER_07: It's like so sad.
- 39:58SPEAKER_07: Uh, but I cannot wait.
- 40:00SPEAKER_07: I think it's crazy that like people are like canceling it or trying to, because it's 20 years old.
- 40:04SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 40:05SPEAKER_07: It's like get a grip.
- 40:06SPEAKER_07: Yeah I mean it's definitely problematic, and I'm sure she needs to apologize.
- 40:10SPEAKER_07: But she because she's a part of it this time, which is rare, she's gonna just like damage control and like sure kind of clear up the narrative.
- 40:16SPEAKER_07: But it's like, whatever, why are we critiquing like a show that's 20 years old or like can't trying to cancel it?
- 40:21SPEAKER_07: I don't know, it was a reflection of that time.
- 40:24SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 40:24SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I still cannot wait to watch it.
- 40:26SPEAKER_07: I just want to watch it for like the clip.
- 40:28SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: Like, come on.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: It'll be funny.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, they show one scene in the trailer where um Mr.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: J talks about like, okay, we're gonna switch your ethnicities.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know.
- 40:38SPEAKER_02: And then he like cringes, and it's like, it'll just be fun to watch and be like, right, oh my god, I think that was okay.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, entertaining.
- 40:45SPEAKER_07: Yeah, definitely.
- 40:46SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I'm excited to see how they'll talk about those.
- 40:48SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we all know more now.
- 40:50SPEAKER_07: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:51SPEAKER_07: We've all grown.
- 40:52SPEAKER_07: We should let Tyra grow.
- 40:54SPEAKER_07: She grew into ice cream.
- 40:55SPEAKER_07: Yeah, she's just like she's more than she used to be.
- 40:58SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 40:58SPEAKER_07: I Avi want to know about like the famous outburst, like, be quiet, Tiffany, be quiet.
- 41:02SPEAKER_07: Oh, yes, of course.
- 41:03SPEAKER_07: And then same season, I wanna, you know, I always reference Rebecca who like yes, you know, sort of fainted.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: So wow, this keeps coming up.
- 41:12SPEAKER_02: Briar.
- 41:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:15SPEAKER_06: I've I have I've in multiple fainting uh uh moments in my life, but yeah, I had a bad one recently and I had got a concussion, which was not.
- 41:22SPEAKER_06: Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 41:23SPEAKER_06: Are you a fainter?
- 41:24SPEAKER_06: Apparently now, yeah, yeah, you are.
- 41:26SPEAKER_06: I mean, no, actually, I mean like I I would probably say like if you looked at my medical history, like probably yeah, because I fainted one time sitting down in c in college.
- 41:33SPEAKER_06: I was I didn't even stand up.
- 41:34SPEAKER_06: Wasn't even a head rush.
- 41:35SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it was it was weird, yeah.
- 41:37SPEAKER_02: So we watch um drag race with our kids.
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, fun.
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: And they um they debated as to whether Briar's fall was real.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what what what was this?
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: Did they say it was food before word, or is that not in their vocabulary yet?
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: No, they did not.
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: Um I forget.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: I think the older one was convinced it was real, and the younger one was convinced it was fake.
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 41:59SPEAKER_05: Wow, funny.
- 42:00SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 42:01SPEAKER_05: I think about fake fainting all the time to get out of things.
- 42:05SPEAKER_05: That's crazy.
- 42:05SPEAKER_05: I've only fainted, I've only fainted once, and I can tell you what my last thought was before I fainted.
- 42:12SPEAKER_05: My last thought was, was that Angel Dust?
- 42:17SPEAKER_05: And then I completed it.
- 42:18SPEAKER_05: And it was, and it was, it was, it turned out to be angels.
- 42:25SPEAKER_05: All of a sudden, I'm just like awake on the boardwalk and fire.
- 42:29SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oh my career.
- 42:31SPEAKER_05: There's worse places to faint from angel dust.
- 42:34SPEAKER_07: So chic though, if I did.
- 42:35SPEAKER_07: Oh my god.
- 42:36SPEAKER_07: Very strange experience, yeah.
- 42:37SPEAKER_05: I it is because you don't know, you it's very disorienting, like how much time went by.
- 42:42SPEAKER_06: First year here, dagger there, yeah.
- 42:44SPEAKER_06: Everything like you know, crossfades back into existence, and you're like, okay, weird, where'd I go?
- 42:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 42:49SPEAKER_07: I almost did once and it was in college really due to like a panic attack, like from over like extending myself or something, not sleeping, and being on Adderall.
- 42:58SPEAKER_07: Oh yeah.
- 42:58SPEAKER_07: Rizzo vibes.
- 42:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah, senior year, and I was doing like a last-minute like photo project for like whatever, an elective.
- 43:06SPEAKER_07: And I had a bunch of balloons.
- 43:08SPEAKER_07: I was trying to phone it in because I was actually focusing and trying hard on my like degree project.
- 43:12SPEAKER_07: So whatever, I was taking pictures of this bunch of balloons and it blew away.
- 43:15SPEAKER_07: And I was like, oh my god, I had to go get it, and it was by the beach and it was in water.
- 43:18SPEAKER_07: And it was just like, well, all I remember is like vignette, vignette.
- 43:22SPEAKER_07: The edges were getting kind of dark, and I was like, yeah, I'm also in water, so like maybe don't do this out.
- 43:27SPEAKER_07: But I didn't, and I'm fine, and I'm here.
- 43:29SPEAKER_07: And the photo series won an award.
- 43:35SPEAKER_07: Y'all wish.
- 43:36SPEAKER_02: Narcolepsy is the same thing, but like, do we all remember that wasn't Jinx Monsoon narcoleptic her first season?
- 43:42SPEAKER_02: For an hour, not be more.
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: What's the thing?
- 43:44SPEAKER_06: So seriously fun.
- 43:45SPEAKER_06: Like getting through all of O'Mary with no problem.
- 43:50SPEAKER_07: Have you seen Jinx in O'Meary?
- 43:52SPEAKER_07: I've seen every mare.
- 43:53SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 43:54SPEAKER_06: That's amazing.
- 43:55SPEAKER_07: How is she?
- 43:56SPEAKER_07: I love Jinx.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: I love Jinx.
- 43:58SPEAKER_02: I mean, I see Jinx in anything that Jinx does.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: I thought she was incredible.
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, listen, she made a lot of big swings, and I didn't think every single one of them worked.
- 44:06SPEAKER_07: Yeah, our thing was sort of like, whoa, okay.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: But they were impressive.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: I mean, it was, she made it her own.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: That's so fun.
- 44:11SPEAKER_07: I they just announced Maya Rudolph as like the next Mary, which is like so gonna be so cool.
- 44:16SPEAKER_07: So cool.
- 44:17SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 44:17SPEAKER_07: Oh, I would see that.
- 44:18SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:19SPEAKER_07: I would see the shit out of that.
- 44:20SPEAKER_05: I love, I love her.
- 44:22SPEAKER_05: That's such a fun choice.
- 44:23SPEAKER_05: Hormone monsters.
- 44:25SPEAKER_05: That's such a fun choice.
- 44:27SPEAKER_05: When I first got back into um sobriety like three years ago, I was like, okay, I'm gonna do like a little soul searching.
- 44:34SPEAKER_05: Like, what's my higher power?
- 44:35SPEAKER_05: And for a day, I was like, it's the hormone monsters.
- 44:38SPEAKER_05: That is who I'm gonna pray to.
- 44:41SPEAKER_06: Not a bad uh higher power, yeah, definitely.
- 44:43SPEAKER_05: Like, not a terrible higher power.
- 44:45SPEAKER_05: Hormone monsters?
- 44:46SPEAKER_06: She's literally do you have a favorite O'Mary of all the ones you've seen?
- 44:49SPEAKER_06: Well, I can't.
- 44:49SPEAKER_06: Can't you pick a favorite topic?
- 44:51SPEAKER_06: I mean Cole.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: And Hannah Solo, Cole's understudy.
- 44:54SPEAKER_02: We are we are dying to have her on the pod.
- 44:56SPEAKER_06: We've we've tried, it's just hard with her schedule, and we would we wouldn't.
- 45:00SPEAKER_06: She's a game to see.
- 45:01SPEAKER_06: She's a genius.
- 45:02SPEAKER_07: I received made it her own.
- 45:04SPEAKER_07: I'm sure.
- 45:05SPEAKER_07: I was so excited when they like announced that she was like the understudy.
- 45:09SPEAKER_07: That's so cool.
- 45:10SPEAKER_07: What an amazing choice.
- 45:11SPEAKER_07: Because she's so I don't know unbelievable.
- 45:13SPEAKER_07: Out there and like brilliant.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: We had Josh Sharp on our show this summer, and he um shamed me because we were talking about O'Mary, and I was like, Oh, I've seen every Mary.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: He said, Have you seen Hannah Solo?
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: I was like, I have not seen Hannah Solo.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: Oh, and so I made it my admission and I did, and no, she's definitely my second favorite, and then Jinx is my third.
- 45:30SPEAKER_02: Um, but they're all fair.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: I mean, that you can't that play is so well written and so well directed that um it's I don't see how you can fuck it up, you know.
- 45:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's incredible.
- 45:40SPEAKER_06: I have have you seen it?
- 45:41SPEAKER_06: You've seen it more than once, right?
- 45:42SPEAKER_06: Or honey, opening night.
- 45:43SPEAKER_06: Oh, right, right, right.
- 45:44SPEAKER_06: Gina did took all of the photos in the lobby, or did the makeup and costuming for the for the photos and lobby.
- 45:49SPEAKER_06: Oh, really?
- 45:51SPEAKER_06: That's incredible.
- 45:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 45:52SPEAKER_06: He's down and dirty.
- 45:55SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but I hate hearing that story because it's like such a degraded image.
- 45:58SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I what did I do, really?
- 46:00SPEAKER_07: But uh yeah, it was it was fun to be a part of that.
- 46:03SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I always forget that you're that's like literally one of the most iconic things ever.
- 46:06SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and and I connected like Cole had actually, which now I kind of regret, Cole reached out to ask me to do a wig for Mary.
- 46:13SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 46:14SPEAKER_07: And I just like I can do a wig, but like it's not my strength.
- 46:18SPEAKER_07: And I sort of said no and connected them to our friend Sean, who kind of created the look of Mary.
- 46:23SPEAKER_07: That's incredible.
- 46:24SPEAKER_07: It's so fun.
- 46:25SPEAKER_07: But kind of wish I did it now.
- 46:26SPEAKER_05: That would have been so that in itself is a strength though, professionally, to say no.
- 46:31SPEAKER_05: To ref to say no and to refer if like especially like in a circle.
- 46:35SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like if it's like, hey man, I can't do it the best, but I know who can.
- 46:39SPEAKER_05: I love that.
- 46:40SPEAKER_05: Like, that's almost as good as being able to do it the best.
- 46:42SPEAKER_05: Because they're still gonna remember you for the referral.
- 46:44SPEAKER_07: Cool.
- 46:45SPEAKER_07: That's nice to hear, because like I do like, I mean, that's part of it, like curating like people and connecting people.
- 46:50SPEAKER_07: So, like, okay.
- 46:51SPEAKER_07: Cause like I, you know, the project deserves someone who's gonna slay it down.
- 46:55SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I can do here, I just need two weeks.
- 46:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and a couple tutorials as homosexuals.
- 47:01SPEAKER_05: Like, we just don't do mid.
- 47:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, exactly.
- 47:04SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 47:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:05SPEAKER_05: Very well put.
- 47:06SPEAKER_06: And on that note, we'll take a little break.
- 47:08SPEAKER_06: And we'll come back and we'll play some games and we'll gap some more and perfect.
- 47:19SPEAKER_06: Well, and we're back.
- 47:20SPEAKER_06: You were saying that you wanted to talk about my butt plug.
- 47:22SPEAKER_06: Is that what?
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:26SPEAKER_02: Listen, there were so many things you guys brought up in your opening segment that I was like, oh, I have something to say about that.
- 47:30SPEAKER_02: Please do.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: Um I also have something to say about uh when you're pregnant and those apps that compare your baby too.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: I have things to say about everything.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: Pizza computer paper.
- 47:42SPEAKER_05: It was so hard to not laugh out loud.
- 47:45SPEAKER_05: Oh, we should have said you can't.
- 47:46SPEAKER_05: Sorry, sorry.
- 47:47SPEAKER_05: When you said pretzel stage computer super.
- 47:51SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I love a piece of computer paper is psychotic.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: So I'm I'm Jewish, and it is kind of against the Jewish tradition to tell your family what you're going to name your child until they are born.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: It kind of feels um like you know a jinx.
- 48:05SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: So I had we had this app, and uh at the time that I told my mom that we were having a girl, uh she was the size of a peach.
- 48:15SPEAKER_02: So my mom started calling her Peaches.
- 48:17SPEAKER_08: Uh-huh.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: And meanwhile, um, one of my best friends is an actor named Kevin Cahun.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure if you know Kevin, but he's a he's a Broadway actor.
- 48:23SPEAKER_02: He was um Tony nominated for Shucked recently.
- 48:26SPEAKER_02: And he was like, he's like, let me guess the name.
- 48:29SPEAKER_02: Gladys.
- 48:30SPEAKER_02: So we decided we started calling her Gladys Peaches was like her name for the whole drag name.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 48:36SPEAKER_02: Um so anyway, so yes, I was very familiar with knowing that's like now she's an asparagus.
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it makes no sense.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: Now she's a peach emoji.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 48:45SPEAKER_05: And that is why I go buy computer paper.
- 48:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 48:49SPEAKER_02: Uh your butt plug.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Wait, so I'm just curious.
- 48:53SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 48:53SPEAKER_06: Um if I'm understanding correctly, so you you do not bought them.
- 48:56SPEAKER_06: I have only ever bought them for my husband, and it's been like twice.
- 48:59SPEAKER_06: So in the entire time that we've been to the case.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: But he's gonna be doing it more.
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: So we had an episode of our podcast with Dr.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: Evan Goldstein, who is the leading anal health expert uh in the country.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: Um, and people like come from all over the world to see him.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: Um and he's based in the village, and he is uh incredible.
- 49:17SPEAKER_02: Doing the Lord's work, seriously.
- 49:19SPEAKER_02: He's a gay man and just like he's he's an anal sex doctor.
- 49:24SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's like you know, which and and and it's so nice.
- 49:26SPEAKER_02: So now I go see him and like just to be able it's nice to be able to like talk to somebody about bottoming, and he talks about the three different types of bottoms.
- 49:35SPEAKER_07: Yes, I've seen okay, I've seen this clip from from I almost clicked it.
- 49:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was like, you know, browsing last night and I did see like something that said, like, are you douching like properly or fashion?
- 49:46SPEAKER_02: And I was like, no.
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: And like I mean, until my husband, uh I mean, I there there wasn't a term for it at the time, but I essentially was aside because I was just like for lack of a better word, just afraid of bottoming for so many reasons.
- 50:00SPEAKER_02: And I didn't feel like with the physique I am and the personality I have that I like deserved to be a top.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: And so um I was aside, and then my husband uh is is was is I don't know, he's verse, uh, and uh but was was the top in our relationship for a long time, and he joked that he would um just kind of like ignore or struggle past the faces that I was making as he was topping me, and then he introduced me to Poppers, and um that opened up a whole new world, right?
- 50:28SPEAKER_02: Um but I just I just think like some of the best pleasures in life.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I bottom in the back.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: I feel like I'm missing out, yeah.
- 50:36SPEAKER_02: I encourage you to continue on this journey.
- 50:40SPEAKER_02: I encourage you uh to seek out so uh uh but seriously is the name of his book, right?
- 50:46SPEAKER_02: Seriously, um yes, I because it's so worth it.
- 50:49SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and also just like the stocking supper.
- 50:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, here you go, mom.
- 50:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah totally.
- 50:56SPEAKER_02: Um he has a whole line of products under a line called uh future method.
- 51:00SPEAKER_02: And by the way, I'm not being paid to promote it.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: But you should.
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: You should.
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: But I'm just I I'm just such a believer because um I was I had some issues that he helped me through.
- 51:09SPEAKER_02: And uh and the funny thing though, you know, uh what do they say?
- 51:13SPEAKER_02: Um uh mother of invention, necessity is mother of invention.
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: I had my butt was broken for a couple months there, and um and now I'm verse, and it's a whole new universe out there.
- 51:24SPEAKER_02: Oh, wait, I think I saw that you're topping more.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: I've been topping.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: That's so fun.
- 51:28SPEAKER_02: The streets are talking.
- 51:29SPEAKER_02: It really is the street, yeah.
- 51:31SPEAKER_02: Giselle Bryant.
- 51:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:34SPEAKER_02: I've I've been topping, it's a whole new thing.
- 51:36SPEAKER_02: I never I never thought that was in my future, but here we are.
- 51:39SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to bottom more in 2026.
- 51:41SPEAKER_07: I'm verse, verse top randomly.
- 51:43SPEAKER_07: But I'm ready to be a huge bottom, you know, it's time.
- 51:46SPEAKER_07: So we're working.
- 51:47SPEAKER_07: This is huge.
- 51:49SPEAKER_07: Huge.
- 51:50SPEAKER_07: I think I need to get a dildo because I've heard like you know, I've enjoyed I I've enjoyed uh anal sex as a bottom, but uh it's not like I don't know where my my mind necessarily goes, like as a preference.
- 52:01SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but I think if I get a dildo, it sort of like learns a lot of them.
- 52:05SPEAKER_07: This makes perfect.
- 52:06SPEAKER_05: Do y'all butt plug?
- 52:07SPEAKER_05: I don't butt plug, but I do dildo.
- 52:09SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
- 52:09SPEAKER_05: Love.
- 52:10SPEAKER_05: I don't uh I have three and they're all like varying degrees.
- 52:15SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:15SPEAKER_05: It's amazed.
- 52:16SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:16SPEAKER_05: One is sort of like the cleanliness checker, and then one is like we're getting down to business.
- 52:21SPEAKER_05: I'm home alone this weekend.
- 52:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:24SPEAKER_05: It's a full lava lamp.
- 52:28SPEAKER_05: From Spencer's.
- 52:29SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 52:30SPEAKER_05: I don't know what my um I don't know what my sex goals are.
- 52:34SPEAKER_05: I haven't thought about them much in 2026.
- 52:36SPEAKER_05: Sex goals.
- 52:37SPEAKER_05: Because sex goals, yeah.
- 52:38SPEAKER_05: Because with, you know, with this wave of depression, my libido just kind of bottoms out.
- 52:45SPEAKER_05: And I don't judge that.
- 52:46SPEAKER_05: I'm just like, oh, having sex right now is not a priority.
- 52:49SPEAKER_05: We also talked on our show about what it's like to have sex in the winter in New York, and it's like not fucking worth it.
- 52:56SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 52:57SPEAKER_05: Um, so maybe I'll get back to y'all in the in the spring.
- 53:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 53:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 53:01SPEAKER_05: It's perfect.
- 53:02SPEAKER_05: Things will look different.
- 53:04SPEAKER_05: No, I love that.
- 53:04SPEAKER_07: Because I we were just talking on the break, and like I'm in the same boat, kind of like, you know, I was like, I'm not feeling so sexual, but it's okay.
- 53:11SPEAKER_07: Cause like I'm just like, it's totally fine.
- 53:14SPEAKER_07: I'm I've been a feral crazy monster my whole life.
- 53:17SPEAKER_07: So I'm like, maybe it's okay to be a little like a bit of a celibate nun.
- 53:20SPEAKER_07: It's all okay.
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: Everything's okay.
- 53:22SPEAKER_02: We just have to stop judging ourselves.
- 53:24SPEAKER_02: Everybody else does it for us anyway.
- 53:26SPEAKER_02: So stop judging yourself.
- 53:28SPEAKER_05: In de-shaming sex, we also de-shame not having sex.
- 53:32SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 53:33SPEAKER_05: Like it's it's chill.
- 53:34SPEAKER_05: Like, don't have sex.
- 53:36SPEAKER_05: Cool.
- 53:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 53:37SPEAKER_05: Maybe it's just be in my hand forever.
- 53:39SPEAKER_05: Okay, pink.
- 53:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 53:40SPEAKER_05: Q music.
- 53:42SPEAKER_05: I do wish I knew.
- 53:44SPEAKER_05: This is I do wish I knew how to this will be my goal.
- 53:48SPEAKER_05: I wish I understood how better to navigate OnlyFans.
- 53:52SPEAKER_06: You mean like just the logistical, like the UI?
- 53:55SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 53:56SPEAKER_05: Do it.
- 53:57SPEAKER_05: You don't that's not what you're saying.
- 53:59SPEAKER_05: No, what I I would like to be a content creator, yes.
- 54:02SPEAKER_05: Um, just because I don't see myself reflected in the gen pop, but then I see the kind of attention that I get, and I'm like, oh, people might want to see this.
- 54:10SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 54:10SPEAKER_05: For sure.
- 54:11SPEAKER_05: What I mean is.
- 54:11SPEAKER_05: I'm subscribing tonight.
- 54:13SPEAKER_05: No, no, no.
- 54:14SPEAKER_05: What I mean is like as a consumer of the content, like I don't really get how to search it.
- 54:19SPEAKER_05: Like, sorry to be boomer grandpa over here, but like, how do you find shit on OnlyFans unless it's like sent to you directly?
- 54:26SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I I think they have a kind of an underdeveloped search function.
- 54:31SPEAKER_06: If I would try to like find somebody's name and I would type it in, like it just wouldn't come up.
- 54:34SPEAKER_06: Or it'd be like that's so interesting.
- 54:36SPEAKER_06: A related post from somebody else's account that I couldn't see.
- 54:38SPEAKER_06: And it was like, but there's nothing even none of the search terms are in there.
- 54:41SPEAKER_06: What's happening?
- 54:42SPEAKER_07: That's so interesting because I've never in my life searched for like uh I don't know, a creator on OnlyFans I think.
- 54:47SPEAKER_07: You've just gone there directly from like kind of like and it's only been that, it's only been through someone's like X account or like whatever they're promoting.
- 54:55SPEAKER_07: And it's only I I even forget that you can like kind of search for one.
- 54:58SPEAKER_05: I want to get on OnlyFlan.
- 54:59SPEAKER_05: I want to get on OnlyFans.
- 55:01SPEAKER_05: Only Flan.
- 55:03SPEAKER_05: We love big OnlyFlan.
- 55:06SPEAKER_05: Big Flawn fans are on here.
- 55:08SPEAKER_05: I want I want to get on OnlyFans and search like Dad Bod and find that.
- 55:14SPEAKER_05: And that's just that's not how it works.
- 55:17SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's like that's so sending you dad bodies great.
- 55:20SPEAKER_06: We should write a letter to their um development team and be like, get that going because there is no way to find genres on the correct yeah, on the platform.
- 55:29SPEAKER_06: It's only like direct to whatever.
- 55:32SPEAKER_05: So my sex goal for this year, um, I would like I would like to learn coding books.
- 55:36SPEAKER_05: I would like to show you I'm gonna go to coding book care pick.
- 55:40SPEAKER_05: Uh I would like to show up on someone else's OnlyFans.
- 55:43SPEAKER_05: That would be great.
- 55:44SPEAKER_05: And I also want to uh just support more emerging stars and find them more easily.
- 55:50SPEAKER_07: I have an active one.
- 55:52SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah.
- 55:53SPEAKER_06: Have you when was the last time you like were making content?
- 55:57SPEAKER_07: Years.
- 55:58SPEAKER_07: I think I actually just put up like a dick pic for no reason, which is like bleak to check in like four years later and be like, here's a still that fucking sucks.
- 56:10SPEAKER_07: I didn't have video back then.
- 56:12SPEAKER_08: Still, it's VHS.
- 56:14SPEAKER_08: My god.
- 56:15SPEAKER_07: Um, but yeah, I did it during the pandemic and like it was cute.
- 56:18SPEAKER_07: It kind of popped off for a second.
- 56:19SPEAKER_07: Uh, because I was dating someone who was like, you know, a comedian who I don't know, I think that helped because they were probably fucking logging in to see if he was on there and he was a little bit, and then he's since asked me to take it down, uh, which we love.
- 56:32SPEAKER_07: Yeah, um, but yeah, the money was cute.
- 56:34SPEAKER_07: I just it became a chore in a way because like my ex and I weren't we weren't open at the time, so and he wasn't interested in being on camera very much, at if at all, because of like his own career, blah blah blah, which I totally get, but I was sort of like, okay, what else am I gonna do here?
- 56:52SPEAKER_07: It was just me in my hand tonight, again, pink, like, you know, so I got bored.
- 56:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 56:56SPEAKER_07: So I I it died.
- 56:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 56:58SPEAKER_07: But I'm I have a huge plans to come back.
- 57:01SPEAKER_06: Baby brand, yeah, yeah.
- 57:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 57:03SPEAKER_06: Well, I mean, you do get a lot of like chaser DMs, uh, men asking you to like dress for them.
- 57:11SPEAKER_06: Yeah, which is crazy because like you're dressed.
- 57:14SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I'm not asking for I'm not a cross dresser and I'm not trans, so it's kind of like I don't know if you're like knocking on the right door, but like I want to like, I don't know, be nice and like I like attention, so of course you feel something coming.
- 57:26SPEAKER_07: Yeah, there's this person who slides in and it's sort of sort of like it seems like they want me to be like their escort.
- 57:32SPEAKER_07: I'm like, am I the first drag escort?
- 57:34SPEAKER_07: Like I love that because I'm like, I will go on a date and drag.
- 57:37SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but it's like I don't know if like you want the four pairs of Capizio after, you know.
- 57:42SPEAKER_05: I just I don't know if he's in for it for the I mean like you think he gets in the the head shaving, like everything, everything has its price.
- 57:50SPEAKER_07: Yeah what do you think about my prices?
- 57:51SPEAKER_05: Uh I was so happy that you said that you had doubled it because that's my general rule.
- 57:57SPEAKER_05: Like I have I have artists that come to me and they're because I've been in sales for the last decade, and I have artists that come to me who are friends and they're like, How do I price this?
- 58:05SPEAKER_05: And I said, What price makes you uncomfortable to ask for?
- 58:09SPEAKER_05: And they give me a number and I say, Okay, double that.
- 58:12SPEAKER_05: Hell yeah.
- 58:13SPEAKER_05: And sell it for that.
- 58:14SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 58:14SPEAKER_05: Like give me the highest number that it makes you uncomfortable to even like you feel like oh, that's so weird to even ask for.
- 58:20SPEAKER_05: For me was 5K, and then I walked it to 3,500.
- 58:22SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and then I missed out, but whatever, it feels empowering.
- 58:25SPEAKER_05: Like, if the most comfortable you feel is$2,000, like then you need to charge four.
- 58:29SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 58:29SPEAKER_06: And then why not five?
- 58:30SPEAKER_05: If it's four smart.
- 58:31SPEAKER_05: And why not five?
- 58:32SPEAKER_05: It's all after being in sales for so long, it's like money just becomes.
- 58:36SPEAKER_02: Well, we always talk about like confidence and how attractive confidence is, and if you go with a high price, they believe that it's worth it, right?
- 58:44SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I also believe you get what you pay for.
- 58:46SPEAKER_02: So yeah, definitely.
- 58:47SPEAKER_02: I always I stupidly always want to be a few.
- 58:48SPEAKER_02: For instance, my wigs.
- 58:49SPEAKER_02: It looks like shit.
- 58:50SPEAKER_08: Hey, shake and go.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: Fabulous.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: I styled your wig.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: Thank you, thank you.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: You did.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: You did a good job, sweetie.
- 58:56SPEAKER_07: Uh it's a shake and go.
- 58:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah, no, we went, we went to the floor.
- 58:59SPEAKER_07: I have an addiction to hair like in drag wigs and all that stuff, but it's fun.
- 59:02SPEAKER_07: I have big shoulders, obviously.
- 59:04SPEAKER_07: So I can't, I usually can't wear like a flat wig or a shake and go.
- 59:09SPEAKER_07: But because I have fur, I'm like, ooh, it's so fun to pop in those stores and make your best friend style them, despite his lack of uh skill, experience, or knowledge.
- 59:17SPEAKER_07: No, no, no, you kill that.
- 59:19SPEAKER_07: It's good.
- 59:19SPEAKER_06: It's fine, it's fine.
- 59:20SPEAKER_06: It's fine.
- 59:20SPEAKER_06: It's working.
- 59:20SPEAKER_06: It's fine, it's fine.
- 59:21SPEAKER_06: Um, I was saying, uh, I don't think I've said this on the pod, but I'm I'm starting a new job.
- 59:25SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna be a teacher at our at our Alma Mada.
- 59:27SPEAKER_06: So cute.
- 59:28SPEAKER_06: And I was like, I should I be talking about using a butt plug when I'm like very easily googled googlable by my students?
- 59:34SPEAKER_06: Like I get fired, like the answer is yes.
- 59:36SPEAKER_07: It's like get over it.
- 59:37SPEAKER_07: It's cool.
- 59:37SPEAKER_07: Just tell yourself it's cool to be like open and out there.
- 59:40SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 59:41SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can't speak to the the teacher part of it necessarily, but I was for two years the co-president of the Parents Association at my kids' public school.
- 59:50SPEAKER_02: Um, and meanwhile, uh, you know, on a podcast talking in very uh explicit terms about my sex life and uh, you know, how much sex I have, the sex parties I go to.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, I mean at first it was it was very scary.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_02: And but I also think that uh when you do things that are worthwhile, they should be scary.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: Um and I have come to really believe uh that de-shaming sex is what is going to save the world, and the reason all these people in power are in need of such power is because they were shamed about sex all their lives.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_02: And uh so I've just come to believe that like talking about it and being very open about it, I'm also very open about what now my kids don't know that we're in an open marriage, um, but my kids do know that they can ask me anything about sex and that there's no shame in that and that we will talk about it.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_02: And um sometimes I've gotten myself into trouble.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: Uh, but um I uh I found myself explaining anal sex to my 10-year-old recently because Well they asked.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_02: We well we Well, she's a New Yorker, you know.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_02: She's kind of like any, but I you know, I we had taken her to see an exhibit of Keith Herring art, and she knew he died of AIDS, and so we were talking about she asked me like why is AIDS so predominantly in the gay community, and we started talking about how it's transmitted, and it became a conversation about anal sex, and but I just I had to keep going without shame because I don't want her to feel like kids pick up on your vibes, you know, for sure.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: Anyway, all that to say that as scary as it was, I just kind of realized and that I had to keep going in this one direction, and it was still important for me to be the co-president of the parent association of the school.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_02: It also allowed me, it empowered me to really stick up for our community in ways.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_02: There was um a moment for pride last year where I wanted to distribute to all the kids at the school the uh progressive pride flag with a handout that explained what it all meant.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_02: And I found I'm so you know, I've got so much internalized homophobia that I found the most innocuous language online that didn't even use the words lesbian, gay, transgender, but like explained it in these like really general ways.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_02: And the principal still didn't want to give out this handout and like I lost my mind on her sucks in my co-president.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_05: In Brooklyn, New York.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what my co-president, who is a straight woman, uh went to the principal and was like, No, you're wrong, yeah, you you're wrong about this, and so they ended up distributing it.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_02: But um I kind of feel like it's because of the podcast and because how I've become so accustomed to talking about this stuff that it empowered me to realize, like, no, I can't just let this go.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I need to do this.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_02: So I think you will find I I'm hoping that this and you being you here gives you strength in that other arena.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_02: And I hope you're working for a school the one they do discover this definitely.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_07: The school in question is um a kooky art school, and everyone's I think they'll be fine.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_07: So it's fine, he'll be fine, but that's so like important to you know, like stick to what you want to do and say and and who you want to be.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_07: Like, yeah, it's a confidence thing, also, like we were saying about finances or whatever, like naming your rate.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_07: Just own the fact that you talk about your little teeny butt blog and you're also a teeny, you know.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_05: I think about this constantly.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_05: I w I work a corporate job and I have to have authenticator apps on my personal telephone to access my work stuff.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_05: And for me, it's like, okay, well, if you're demanding that encroachment of my personal life in order to access work, then if you happen to access my personal life on your free time, like that's on that's on you.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_05: Because I'm doing this independently of work, and I'm lucky because I I think I think honestly, like if if someone cares, they're a bad manager because my managers are like, you're doing great.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_05: I don't care if you do the work on fucking Mars, just like do the work, right?
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_05: That's right.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_05: Right?
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_05: Like that that is how it should be because we do have these separate lives and have things to say.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I do think a lot of people get scared about like even this kind of activity because of how it might get reflected professionally.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_05: And I'm already okay with like, okay, if where I am professionally is where I must stay because I'm doing this, it's better for the wear.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_05: Totally.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_05: Like, I'm okay if I can like never eclipse this, you know, certain level because I took a um took a bet on my because someone else took a bet on me.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_05: I'm not that I'm not that worried.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_05: And when I took this job, I thought to myself, honey, if you didn't find my podcast, you didn't do your fucking recent.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_07: And take it one step further.
- 1:04:44SPEAKER_07: Like, honey, you're welcome if you find my podcast.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_07: Take a letter, Maria.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_05: It's sort of like You're the recruiter, you should be looking me up.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I also think like ever since starting our podcast almost two years ago, I've been better at every other part of my life because this podcast and doing this makes me so happy and so fulfilled.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_02: My anxiety is lower.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, the Lexa Pro has something to do with that too, the new Lexic Pro profession.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_02: But uh, yeah, I'm I've only been on it for a few months.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I'm 52 years old and I'm screaming.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_07: This is a whole nother episode.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_07: Oh, I know.
- 1:05:16SPEAKER_07: Unfortunately, you guys are coming back.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_07: My God, I love like because I'm OCD, like I can get obsessive about like pills or yeah, cocktail.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_07: I'm on Zolof a bit a baby dose though.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_02: But it's so but I but I but my husband, even before the Lexapro, my husband was like just so much happier as my husband because I've been doing this.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_02: And I think that my job, I'm I'm I don't let it get to me nearly as much as I used to.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_02: So I think just you gotta keep this in your life because it's just good for you.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you are a more relaxed person in the two years that I've known you.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah, look at the sweatsuit.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you're hanging out.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_07: You're in a whole hanging out.
- 1:05:50SPEAKER_07: I love the sweatsuit right now.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_06: No, I definitely I I feel the same way because this podcast sort of came together at the tail end of my career in film where I was working as an artist.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_06: Director, and then that career was sort of curtailed by the accident that my my husband had, which listeners to the pod no, and we talked about off camera.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_06: It kind of forced me to realize that I I was so unhappy in that industry and in that um experience, even though it's something that I love to do, I love to create, I love I love film, I love all of the elements of it, but just the way that it made me be was so unhealthy that if I didn't have some kind of catastrophic life change, I probably would have never gotten out of it.
- 1:06:31SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_06: At the same time, we were building this together.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_06: It was like, oh, why can't my life be full of fun and fagotry and drag and beautiful idiotic design?
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_06: And like I'm so much happier in this world than I am, you know, where I was two, three years ago.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_06: So should we um play a game?
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we love games.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_07: Okay, we've got counter punt, which is sort of like a tutor boot fashion review.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_07: But we love counter punt.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we're gonna do a little round of that for sure.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_06: We need to.
- 1:06:59SPEAKER_06: In our intro, we were talking about disappearing photos, counter punt disappearing photos on apps.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_06: Punt.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_06: Punt.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_06: Okay, work.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_04: I need to refer back.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_04: You've got to refer back.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_04: Even in the same conversation.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_04: Wait.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_04: I'm like, who is this?
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_04: We're not as young as we used to be.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_07: It's like, what?
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_07: Are you kidding?
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_07: Especially if it's like on the apps and there's like it's a faceless profile.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_07: It's like, get out of here.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_07: Are you effing kidding?
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_07: Or I love when it's like a silhouette, like faceless profile, and they're like, You looking?
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_07: I'm like, for my shadow.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_02: Justin had to be early on.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_02: I was like, can you please teach me what the signals are online so I know if people are on meth essentially?
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_02: And he was like, Well, if it's like completely blurry, if it's like he gave me all these signals, so now I know.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_05: If it looks like they deliberately moved the camera, like to take their picture, like they're on drugs.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_05: Also, if it's like a if it's like a still life from a Chucky movie, like it's they're on drugs.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_05: It's just it's like a little fake Christmas tree and a tipped over coffee and some like tennis balls.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_05: You're like, that's drugs.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_07: It's like I can't even get over like the faceless, like, sure, you're like DL or whatever, or like maybe you're not, but you're still not showing your face.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_07: It's like you do uh ultimately eventually need a face to like meet someone.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_06: The whole thing of like having a faceless profile and then immediately sending a photo, it's like like I could still out you.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 1:08:34SPEAKER_06: It's like what is this saving you in in the long run?
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_06: Like you're like you, so no one can you can have plausible deniability that your face was on the app.
- 1:08:42SPEAKER_02: Like, I it's also for me, the face is so you get nervous because like I'm like kissing is for me like number one.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_02: And so I need to know what I'm getting into.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_05: Face is like above body for me.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_05: I love face too.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_05: I, you know, like I love my husband's body, I love his face.
- 1:09:00SPEAKER_05: Like, I just I really I love my husband's face.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_05: Like, I think he is so handsome and he like does and says things that I'm just like, oh, I want to just Yeah, you I feel you have to love like who you're with face.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_07: Like somebody's like, that me.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_07: A lot of people put stock.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_07: My ex used to put more way more stock into like bodies.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I don't care about bodies, but I'll I can make anybody beautiful.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_07: Like, you know, I can get down to with anything.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_07: I think I know you're gonna say make anybody beautiful.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_05: Do you know?
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_05: I feel like maybe we put the import on faces because we have nice faces.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_05: Is that maybe you're right.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_05: Like fun, spun, spunt.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_02: It's also um it is like sniffies.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_02: I don't lead with you.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_02: Do lead with face now on sniffies.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_02: I do lead with face on sniffies.
- 1:09:47SPEAKER_02: But that's new.
- 1:09:48SPEAKER_07: Should I be on sniffies?
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_06: Are you not on sniffies?
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_02: I'm not on sniffies either.
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_06: I actually I have a anonymous stuff, does really doesn't do it for me.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_02: I mean, when you're on the apps, you're almost exclusively sniffies.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and Gina, you told me your neighborhood.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_05: Um, like it's enough.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_05: You're gonna have to travel for talent anyway.
- 1:10:06SPEAKER_05: I feel so validated.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_05: I guess I guess get it to like turn it.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_05: Because here's the thing like, let's say you're in a talent-rich New York neighborhood like Bushwick or Hell's Kitchen, unless you like actually have the time at that moment to like go do the hooking up, people are not interested.
- 1:10:23SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_05: Like they're not trying to make a fucking plan.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
- 1:10:26SPEAKER_05: So if you're just like passing through 10th Avenue on your way somewhere else, like and have sniffies on for that exact reason, no one is trying to be like, oh, thanks for hitting me up.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_05: Like in transit.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_05: That's the vibe.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_05: Okay, I guess now.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_05: Not always like some people will plan, but it's really for like right now.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_05: So what are your apps of choice?
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_06: Scruff.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_06: Okay and uh uh dude's nude for camming.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_06: That's my old school's nude.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_06: You're like chat roulette.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_06: I used to love dudes nude.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_07: My space.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_07: Um I like I'm on scruff and grinder.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_02: I still am most comfortable on grinder.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I have I I just told a story on uh this week's episode of our podcast that I recently booked a day use hotel for six hours.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_02: I listened to this one.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_02: I had five back-to-bacco cups.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_02: Wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:11:16SPEAKER_02: You booked a what?
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_02: A day use hotel.
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_02: So you can book a hotel for like five or six hours without an overnight stay.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_05: Um, and hotels finally got hip to it.
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_05: They're like, you know what?
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_05: If we can't rent it for the night, let's just rent it for the afternoon.
- 1:11:31SPEAKER_05: Times are hard.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_05: Like we gotta recoup our.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_05: Especially the hospitality.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_05: We got a minute rate, okay?
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_02: And so uh anyway, I in between the five hookups, there were uh I think one grinder, one scruff, and three sniffies.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_02: So you had the whole smorgasbord.
- 1:11:45SPEAKER_07: The manager from the front desk.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_07: They're like, I know what this is.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_07: Yeah I'd like to submit.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I haven't been on a grinder.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_06: I haven't been a grinder since uh, well, I met my husband on grinder.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_06: Um I'm like, they should know what they should give you like like a gift card if that if you meet your husband on grinder.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_06: For like a free year.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_06: It should have been like they should have like sponsored your wedding, but like now everybody's met their husband on grinder, so it's fine.
- 1:12:06SPEAKER_06: So give me like a fucking like you know, Dunkin' Donuts card or something.
- 1:12:09SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I haven't used it in forever.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_06: I don't I don't why when I made the switch over to Scruff, I was like, oh, I feel like this is more kind of like the type of um environment I'm comfortable in, but I don't know.
- 1:12:18SPEAKER_06: For a second I was like, ooh, I because I guess it would have been like 2014 was like the last time I used grinder.
- 1:12:22SPEAKER_06: It just felt a little like judgy.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_06: 2014?
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I guess.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_06: You're 14?
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_02: And I'm a teacher.
- 1:12:29SPEAKER_02: Um that's why we don't know each other from the neighborhood.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_02: Because I think is my least of the three.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so you probably used two.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_02: My husband's gonna be able to do it.
- 1:12:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Brian, but I'm not your age.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_07: Can we out you as like your age?
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_07: Yeah, how old are you?
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_07: I'm 52.
- 1:12:39SPEAKER_07: Wow.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_07: Hot.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_07: Okay, amazing.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_07: He's so sexy.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_07: Because Judson outed himself as 42 or 30?
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_07: 43.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_07: 43, yeah.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_07: 43.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_07: Hot, hot.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_07: Love.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_07: We're both 36.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_07: Yeah, we're both 36.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_05: What a tough age.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_07: Really?
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, because it's you know, you know, Brittany's like, I'm not I'm not a girl, not yet a woman.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_05: It's like that for gay men.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_05: It's like I'm not a twink, but not yet a daddy.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_05: And it's kind of in this like gay purgatory.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_05: Late, I found late 30s to be really tough.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_05: I was lacking certain direction, I wasn't certain of my whole presence.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_06: It's interesting because I thought early 30s was like the hottest, sexiest best I've ever ever been.
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_06: There was something about like getting out of your 20s and feeling like you've you've achieved something.
- 1:13:21SPEAKER_06: You're like somehow more real.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_06: And then you're so right that like towards the end, it starts to get like, oh god.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_07: You're like more of a between a twink, a beer, and a queen, it's all better.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_02: I I'm having the most and best sex in my early 50s.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:13:34SPEAKER_02: I've had ever in my life.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_06: But I think that's like I that's because of like the work you're putting in, I would say, probably.
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_06: I I don't know if most people in their 50s are are would have your experience.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_02: You know what I've no, I don't know.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_02: Because what I've learned is that I th what I've from what I understand is very common.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_02: You turn 50 and you just don't give a shit about so much anymore.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_02: Right, right, right.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, the older I get, I'm like And it's just so it's it's really lovely to just like actually not care what people think.
- 1:14:00SPEAKER_02: Um and uh and so because it means you can walk into rooms with more confidence, and confidence is sexy.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_02: So uh yeah, it all works.
- 1:14:08SPEAKER_02: I'm having a great time.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_04: So based on the based on the record breaking data, yeah.
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_02: No, seriously, yeah.
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_05: I also, my husband is in his 60s, and I see some of the trade he pulls, and I'm just like fucking wow, like goals.
- 1:14:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah, goals.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_05: Like the number of 25 to 28 year old men who like hit up my husband for some like daddy play is really incredible.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, it comes back around.
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_07: You have things to look forward to.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_07: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we're all we're all on the up, let's be honest.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_05: No one on this couch has peaked.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_08: I'm like, no.
- 1:14:45SPEAKER_07: True.
- 1:14:46SPEAKER_07: I I agree.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_07: Um yeah, wait, yeah, we haven't started the game.
- 1:14:49SPEAKER_07: Well, I we said disappearing photos, punt, pun, pun.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_07: Oh, punt, pump, pun.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_07: Um, I recently wrote down cloth it tub, contra punt.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_07: Cunt.
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_07: Cunt, but in a practical way, punt uh, it's punt for me.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_07: Because it can break the tile.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_07: It's just not like is it a blast?
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_07: No, but is it a blast like taking like a bath in a cloth foot tub?
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_07: I feel I find it like I mean, I don't want a cloth foot tub.
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_05: Right.
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_05: If I'm gonna show up and there is a cloth foot tub, I'm gonna take a sick bath in it.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_06: Well, I'm I'm so tall, there's almost no bathtub that it's comfortable for me.
- 1:15:16SPEAKER_06: So it's like uh I mean, like, I actually I think a cloth foot tub is cunt.
- 1:15:20SPEAKER_06: I'm glad it has beautiful.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_06: I'm glad that it has clothes and feet, actually, to be honest.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_07: Gorgeous, but I just am like, I don't know.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_07: I think I'd rather something like I don't know money.
- 1:15:28SPEAKER_06: An iconic photo shoot.
- 1:15:29SPEAKER_07: No, yeah, I yeah, they're gorgeous.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_07: That's what I just maybe maybe I've only taken like weird showers in like a cloth it tub.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_07: That's strange.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_07: That fucking sucks.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_01: That's not yeah, I just don't know that I have an opinion on a cloth tub.
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry to have an opinion on a cloth.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_02: Okay, you're straight.
- 1:15:42SPEAKER_05: Well then I'm gonna say cunt.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_05: Counterpunt.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_06: Protein.
- 1:15:45SPEAKER_06: Cunt.
- 1:15:46SPEAKER_06: Cunt.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_06: Cunt, yeah.
- 1:15:48SPEAKER_06: But we we said this on the pod once counterpunt protein being in everything.
- 1:15:51SPEAKER_06: It's like a protein cookie, like a protein cereal.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_06: Protein at Duncan.
- 1:15:55SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:15:56SPEAKER_04: It's getting crazy.
- 1:15:57SPEAKER_07: I think it's literally there.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah, they that's like literally.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_07: They my my Duncan like just put up a fucking decal.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_07: It was like it just says protein.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_07: It's like, oh yeah.
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_04: It's just this sign just protein.
- 1:16:10SPEAKER_04: No, I don't need that.
- 1:16:12SPEAKER_05: Starbucks indicates like that which of their drinks have how much protein in it.
- 1:16:16SPEAKER_05: And it's like, yeah, bitch, cause milk.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_06: Right, right.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_06: You're not getting protein from coffee beans.
- 1:16:22SPEAKER_07: Like, yeah, wait, should I be getting the protein cold foam?
- 1:16:27SPEAKER_07: Because like I be scrolling through those like, you know, foam selections, and and I wonder.
- 1:16:33SPEAKER_06: The protein cold foam.
- 1:16:34SPEAKER_06: It's just milk.
- 1:16:35SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:16:36SPEAKER_06: It's crazy.
- 1:16:37SPEAKER_06: Protein in general is cunt, but protein being in everything to me is punt.
- 1:16:40SPEAKER_06: I'm like, please, right.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_06: It's just a fad.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_06: Like, I get it.
- 1:16:43SPEAKER_06: I'm a protein elitist.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_06: Like, it better be real.
- 1:16:45SPEAKER_05: Like, that I'm really like critical of these things.
- 1:16:47SPEAKER_05: Also, like, do we have enough protein to be putting it in everything?
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_04: Limited supply.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_05: Like, where's it coming from?
- 1:16:54SPEAKER_05: Nobody's saying that.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_05: No one is asking where this protein is coming from.
- 1:16:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:16:58SPEAKER_05: That's the bigger protein.
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_06: More to level.
- 1:17:01SPEAKER_06: I love that.
- 1:17:02SPEAKER_06: Um, Counterpunt like twink entering the common lexicon.
- 1:17:08SPEAKER_06: Like when you hear like a like an SNL sketch, like they say twink as like a punchline to a joke or something.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_02: My 10-year-old uses sleigh all the time.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 1:17:19SPEAKER_02: Um it's yeah, it's it's the amount of language that my 10-year-old uses that comes from like ballroom culture of the 80s.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, You're like, I mean, it's it hurts my heart.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_02: Um she and her friends have a chat group, a text group on their iPads called the Slay Queen.
- 1:17:37SPEAKER_02: And they have one called Twink Haters.
- 1:17:39SPEAKER_02: And they're 10.
- 1:17:40SPEAKER_02: Um Twink, is that is that newly entering lexicon?
- 1:17:43SPEAKER_06: I feel like in the last couple years I've seen it fully crossover.
- 1:17:44SPEAKER_06: And I feel like the same thing's happening with like Gunnar and Gooning.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_05: Like everybody is fucking making Duncan's like Twink.
- 1:17:50SPEAKER_05: Yeah, protein twink.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_05: Duncan's uh like Timothy Chalamet is like referred to as a twink in just like everyday media.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_05: Right, right.
- 1:17:58SPEAKER_05: I would say, listen, it's a it's a little my answer is derivative.
- 1:18:02SPEAKER_05: I actually think it's cunt because what it does is it forces us, a linguistically rich community, is to continue to keep iterating.
- 1:18:12SPEAKER_05: So I think when these words make it into the popular lexicon, it's like, oh, here we go again.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_05: Try to get us.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_05: Try to fucking keep up.
- 1:18:20SPEAKER_05: I love that.
- 1:18:21SPEAKER_05: For that reason, I'm like, okay, we're we're we're not gonna run out of words.
- 1:18:26SPEAKER_05: Um, you can almost it's almost kind of cool when these words make it to like the general lexicon, because you're like, you can have it.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_05: Yeah, totally.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_07: What a good way to think about it.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_07: Like, that's how I feel about like ideas and like writing or stuff like that.
- 1:18:38SPEAKER_07: I'm not the most confident person in like every area, but for whatever reason, if it's like an idea or something, some comedic bit or writing, I'm like, whatever, bring it on.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_07: That's not my best work.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_07: Tomorrow will be like it's always just like whatever, take it.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_07: Keep it pumping.
- 1:18:51SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you can have it.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you can have it.
- 1:18:53SPEAKER_06: We got more.
- 1:18:54SPEAKER_06: Yeah, tea, we have we're not we're not wanting for different words to describe life, young, skinny boys.
- 1:19:00SPEAKER_06: It's we we'll figure it out.
- 1:19:02SPEAKER_05: Because it also doesn't work in the reverse.
- 1:19:04SPEAKER_05: We're not like, oh, general populace, thank you for the amazing vocab work.
- 1:19:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, like thank you for howdy.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_04: Like I'm gonna bring on howdy gay.
- 1:19:15SPEAKER_05: Howdy's gay, I'm watching howdy's gay, howdy's gay.
- 1:19:18SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna bring key performance indicators into my regular lexicon.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_05: Like, oh my god, anytime I find this confusing.
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_05: What's straight?
- 1:19:25SPEAKER_05: Bet?
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_05: Maybe bet.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_05: Bet is straight.
- 1:19:29SPEAKER_07: It's all appropriate of you.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_07: I get confused with X and Z.
- 1:19:33SPEAKER_07: I love that you're X.
- 1:19:35SPEAKER_07: I am X.
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_07: I love Gen X.
- 1:19:37SPEAKER_07: I grew up with a lot of older cousins.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_07: I love it.
- 1:19:40SPEAKER_07: And the Gen X gay, my God, you had it rough.
- 1:19:44SPEAKER_05: The Gen X gays are 50 now.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_05: Like crazy.
- 1:19:47SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:19:48SPEAKER_05: And you're Millen.
- 1:19:49SPEAKER_05: I'm a Millen.
- 1:19:50SPEAKER_05: Very solidly, not a cusp, 83, like definitely in there.
- 1:19:53SPEAKER_05: Something that is very solidly millennial about me.
- 1:19:56SPEAKER_05: I will send a back and forth of 17 voice memos before actually calling a person.
- 1:20:01SPEAKER_05: Oh my god.
- 1:20:04SPEAKER_06: I don't want to talk about Gen Z, they love to like FaceTime.
- 1:20:09SPEAKER_06: Like, we like Oh, it drives me crazy.
- 1:20:10SPEAKER_06: Oh my god.
- 1:20:11SPEAKER_06: It's like, can you like I'm lying down?
- 1:20:13SPEAKER_06: Like I'm not camera ready.
- 1:20:14SPEAKER_06: Like, I like please do not look at me.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_07: Like, I'm not our friend Sarab sometimes will cold face uh no no Instagram video call me cold and I'm like, uh no, hello.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_06: That's not okay.
- 1:20:27SPEAKER_06: Instagram video.
- 1:20:28SPEAKER_02: Very early on in our relationship, I think I tried to cold FaceTime Toby, my husband, once, and he was like, he didn't answer, and he was like, Don't you ever do that again?
- 1:20:36SPEAKER_02: It's crazy.
- 1:20:37SPEAKER_02: It's like, let me get my ring light out.
- 1:20:38SPEAKER_02: Don't just get it out of the way.
- 1:20:39SPEAKER_07: I don't care about any of that shit, but I just need to know.
- 1:20:41SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_07: No, yeah.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_07: Jesus Christ.
- 1:20:43SPEAKER_07: You look like I'm through like a spoon.
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_07: You know?
- 1:20:46SPEAKER_07: Somehow.
- 1:20:47SPEAKER_02: I have a controversial one.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_02: I hope it's not.
- 1:20:49SPEAKER_02: Uh counterpunt Madonna.
- 1:20:52unknown: Cunt.
- 1:20:53SPEAKER_06: Cunt.
- 1:20:54SPEAKER_06: Okay, good.
- 1:20:54SPEAKER_06: Thank God.
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_06: Well, how do you feel about Madonna's new face?
- 1:20:57SPEAKER_06: It got a little cuter recently.
- 1:20:59SPEAKER_02: She's looking good right now.
- 1:21:00SPEAKER_02: I'm very excited about Confessions Part 2.
- 1:21:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah, she got the filler taken out and she got whatever new facelift tech they've been giving to all the celebrities.
- 1:21:07SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:21:08SPEAKER_06: No, she's looking good right now.
- 1:21:09SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:21:09SPEAKER_07: I mean, I live for Madonna, but I just I was lucky to see her.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_05: No, no, no.
- 1:21:14SPEAKER_05: I was waiting.
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_07: My answer is definitively cunt.
- 1:21:17SPEAKER_07: Okay, good.
- 1:21:17SPEAKER_07: Okay, perfect.
- 1:21:18SPEAKER_05: Truly, truly, truly.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_07: I was so happy I got to see her at Madison Square Garden, like this last tour.
- 1:21:23SPEAKER_07: And I was blown away.
- 1:21:24SPEAKER_07: I'm like, I wish my like family who isn't that like they're not like Madonna fans necessarily.
- 1:21:28SPEAKER_07: I mean, I'm sure they like her, but like I wish like people saw this.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I've taken my mom to see Madonna.
- 1:21:33SPEAKER_07: It was so cool.
- 1:21:33SPEAKER_07: And I've said it on the pod, like, you know, you only see shitty clips that people post on Instagram that she's like shaky and weird.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_07: But I don't know.
- 1:21:41SPEAKER_07: What I saw was fucking fierce.
- 1:21:43SPEAKER_07: They get they got her B12 right that day because she was singing and like looking young and like killing it.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_07: I was going away.
- 1:21:49SPEAKER_07: But I was going in with low expectations just because of Instagram.
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_07: Was this your first time seeing Madonna Live?
- 1:21:53SPEAKER_07: Yes.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_07: And I will be definitely going again if she decides to oh she will.
- 1:21:58SPEAKER_02: She has at least 20 word farewells for this uh confessions album coming this year.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_02: I'm very excited.
- 1:22:02SPEAKER_05: I mean one day Lady Gaga will be in her 60s.
- 1:22:06SPEAKER_05: One day Chapel Rowan will be in her 60s.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_05: Like it's it's okay.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_05: It's we can still honor the work that they did then and the work that they're doing now.
- 1:22:16SPEAKER_06: I do just think it it was harder to reach that level of super stardom prior to the internet.
- 1:22:25SPEAKER_06: I just think I just think it was harder.
- 1:22:27SPEAKER_06: Like yes and no.
- 1:22:29SPEAKER_06: But I think it required more charisma and star power and like actual activity.
- 1:22:33SPEAKER_06: Like you had to go and be doing things to be seen.
- 1:22:36SPEAKER_06: You couldn't just post a photo.
- 1:22:37SPEAKER_06: I mean, I guess there were magazines and stuff like that.
- 1:22:38SPEAKER_07: Yeah, you don't see that mega stardom unless you're like Hudson Williams, like the the next Madonna.
- 1:22:44SPEAKER_07: Weird.
- 1:22:44SPEAKER_07: But yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:45SPEAKER_07: He's dropping an album today.
- 1:22:46SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:47SPEAKER_07: No, for sure.
- 1:22:48SPEAKER_02: I do feel like it's coming back around.
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_02: I feel like, or maybe it's just my algorithm because I'm a Madonna fan, but uh that I'm seeing more respect for her again.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_02: I feel like it became cool for a while to disparage her, but I feel like now it's coming back and I'm right.
- 1:23:01SPEAKER_02: I started to cool it.
- 1:23:02SPEAKER_06: I'm like, wait, that but I might go out on a limit said that might have been a little bit of her own fault.
- 1:23:05SPEAKER_06: Like I think there was an era like when Lady Gaga was coming up where she got really like defensive and like was embarrassing herself all the time, like trying to be cool.
- 1:23:12SPEAKER_06: And I think she pulled back at like the touring more and the less of like the music videos with like Yeah, her videos are not what they used to be.
- 1:23:19SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:20SPEAKER_07: What's what are your all like what's your favorite Madonna song?
- 1:23:23SPEAKER_07: Hard hard question.
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_02: Uh well, yes, it was a hard question.
- 1:23:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's the obvious like Vogue, but then there's like get together from Confessions.
- 1:23:30SPEAKER_02: I love get together.
- 1:23:32SPEAKER_05: Um my favorite is Borderline.
- 1:23:34SPEAKER_05: It was the uh it was our wedding play out song.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_05: Oh my god.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_05: Like as we were like wrapping up and moving out of the venue, like that's what we played.
- 1:23:41SPEAKER_05: We are cute.
- 1:23:42SPEAKER_02: Our first dance was uh Crazy for You.
- 1:23:45SPEAKER_02: And then our the last the last song of our wedding was Like a Prayer.
- 1:23:51SPEAKER_07: Love.
- 1:23:51SPEAKER_07: That's amazing.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_07: Wow.
- 1:23:52SPEAKER_07: What's your favorite Madonna song?
- 1:23:53SPEAKER_07: Nothing really matters.
- 1:23:54SPEAKER_07: I know that's like embarrassing, but like I just too.
- 1:23:56SPEAKER_07: I love that.
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_07: And she opened the last tour with it.
- 1:23:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:24:00SPEAKER_07: And I was like, oh, body chills.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:24:02SPEAKER_07: Like I just love that song because like one, it's amazing.
- 1:24:04SPEAKER_07: I'm more of a 90s Madonna than 80s Madonna person.
- 1:24:07SPEAKER_07: And uh it kind of sounds like in the recording, the studio version, it's like she has a little cold that day or something.
- 1:24:12SPEAKER_07: And I'm like, work.
- 1:24:14SPEAKER_07: I love it.
- 1:24:14SPEAKER_07: I just love it.
- 1:24:15SPEAKER_05: I also like um it's gonna be horrible that I can't remember the name of it, but we were talking about parkour before we started recording.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_05: That was private.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, the jump, the the parkour song.
- 1:24:30SPEAKER_05: Jump.
- 1:24:31SPEAKER_05: The one no, the the the time goes by one.
- 1:24:34SPEAKER_05: The one where she walks in with the boombox.
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's hung up is amazing.
- 1:24:38SPEAKER_05: Yeah, parkour is really, yeah.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_02: But also jump is a parkour video.
- 1:24:42SPEAKER_02: There may be a tiny bit of parkour in the hung up video, but they're all like running.
- 1:24:45SPEAKER_02: But the entire jump video is parkour.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_05: The important thing is Madonna invented parkour.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_05: She did.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_05: She did.
- 1:24:51SPEAKER_07: And poking, did you know?
- 1:24:53SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:24:53SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:24:53SPEAKER_07: Sometimes I pretend my drag name is Hallie Parkour.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_07: You know, like parent trap vibes.
- 1:24:59SPEAKER_07: I thought it was Hallie Tosas.
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_07: Shut your crap.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_07: You both saw the tour.
- 1:25:04SPEAKER_02: I saw every.
- 1:25:04SPEAKER_07: I saw her at Barclays, yeah.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_02: I saw when she's in town, I go to every show.
- 1:25:08SPEAKER_07: That's so cool.
- 1:25:09SPEAKER_07: The year that's a big book.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_07: The revolving set.
- 1:25:11SPEAKER_07: It was so beautiful.
- 1:25:12SPEAKER_07: Never have I ever wanted to be like a male dancer more than like that number.
- 1:25:16SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:25:16SPEAKER_07: Like, this is actually, for once, something I can do.
- 1:25:19SPEAKER_07: Think from a jungle gym and spin and be like a little biblical.
- 1:25:23SPEAKER_07: Just a little biblical.
- 1:25:24SPEAKER_07: Just a little?
- 1:25:24SPEAKER_07: Like sign me the fuck up.
- 1:25:26SPEAKER_07: Um the year.
- 1:25:28SPEAKER_02: The year that I met my now husband was the year of the MDNA tour.
- 1:25:32SPEAKER_02: And um I saw that show 11 times, and I think I made him come with me seven.
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 1:25:38SPEAKER_02: Um, and so that's love.
- 1:25:40SPEAKER_02: Next magazine.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_02: Do you remember Next Magazine?
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 1:25:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:25:43SPEAKER_02: Where you ran for that?
- 1:25:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:25:44SPEAKER_02: Um, they did a feature on Madonna's Biggest Gay Fans in New York.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_02: And we were featured in it as the World Traveler Edition because we saw her in Thank God in Switzerland, and we saw her all over the country.
- 1:25:58SPEAKER_02: And um, so anyway, the headline was Madonna's Biggest Gay Fans.
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_02: And my now sister-in-law at the time was like, Oh my god, Madonna's gayest fans?
- 1:26:07SPEAKER_04: No.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_04: Like, well, yes.
- 1:26:09SPEAKER_02: No.
- 1:26:10SPEAKER_02: Her biggest gay fans.
- 1:26:11SPEAKER_02: Where's those?
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_02: Is that magazine?
- 1:26:13SPEAKER_06: That should be behind glass right next to the sweatsuit behind glasses.
- 1:26:16SPEAKER_06: No, it is behind glass on our wall.
- 1:26:17SPEAKER_07: And of course, it's like, do you put that behind Plexi or like on a mannequin?
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_07: Oh, wait, a mannequin would be really, really good.
- 1:26:22SPEAKER_06: Can I tell you what we have?
- 1:26:23SPEAKER_06: Oh, sorry.
- 1:26:24SPEAKER_05: I was gonna say, I also love the idea of like that next magazine coming out and someone on Eighth Avenue like flipping through it, like, why didn't they interview me?
- 1:26:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 1:26:33SPEAKER_02: That must have been, you might have got some hate mail for that.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_02: Do you want to know what I do have on a mannequin in my house?
- 1:26:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_02: So, you guys are drag race aficionados?
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_02: So season two of Drag Race, there was a challenge where they were given a wedding dress and they had to like make it better.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_02: And then they had to pose as the groom out of drag and as the bride, right?
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_02: Of course.
- 1:26:54SPEAKER_02: So for our wedding, we hired Raven to be the MC of our wedding.
- 1:26:59SPEAKER_02: Iconic.
- 1:27:00SPEAKER_02: And she wore her dress from that challenge.
- 1:27:04SPEAKER_02: Blue headband?
- 1:27:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, blue headband.
- 1:27:06SPEAKER_02: Ribbon, like, okay.
- 1:27:07SPEAKER_02: And gifted it to us at the end of the night.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_02: So it is so we have the mannequin in our house.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_02: And my husband jokes like, we thought as gay men we would not have to store a wedding dress.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_02: That'd be like one of the benefits.
- 1:27:17SPEAKER_02: And here we are with Raven's uh second season wedding dress.
- 1:27:20SPEAKER_07: What a cool, fun choice to hire Raven, but also how cool of Raven to be like, here you go.
- 1:27:25SPEAKER_07: Like that's so cool.
- 1:27:26SPEAKER_02: It was the first time she had done anything like it.
- 1:27:28SPEAKER_02: Like we flew her out from LA.
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_02: Holy shit.
- 1:27:30SPEAKER_02: She was my favorite, and like I stalked her to get her to do it.
- 1:27:34SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_02: It was not like his biggest gayest.
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 1:27:38SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 1:27:39SPEAKER_02: It's not like it is now where you can just like find where they all are, hire them, and like celebs kind of.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I had to do some stuff.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_02: Big celebs.
- 1:27:47SPEAKER_02: We made it happen, yeah.
- 1:27:48SPEAKER_07: We'd follow the the D Liz Drag girls from early seasons.
- 1:27:52SPEAKER_06: Like I had a photo pop up in my phone of you motorboarding deer and late Do you remember when we ran into each other in CVS the night?
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_06: We went to like the season five premiere party or something.
- 1:28:02SPEAKER_07: It wasn't CVS, it was Pro Paints.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_07: R.A.P.
- 1:28:04SPEAKER_06: It was Pro Paints.
- 1:28:04SPEAKER_06: You're right.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_06: RAP.
- 1:28:05SPEAKER_06: We ran into each other.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_06: I don't remember Pro Paints.
- 1:28:07SPEAKER_02: Season five premiere party at XL.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_02: I was there.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_07: We were there for that one and the finale party.
- 1:28:13SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 1:28:14SPEAKER_07: Like, you know what I mean?
- 1:28:15SPEAKER_07: You kind of you gotta be a loser to like go to those things.
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_07: Oh my god.
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_07: That's back when it was like Drag Race was a religion in Landwork.
- 1:28:23SPEAKER_07: Back in the day, it was so cool.
- 1:28:24SPEAKER_07: Back in the day, yeah.
- 1:28:25SPEAKER_07: Now it's sort of like, I don't know.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_02: I know, but it is fun for us to watch it with the kids.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_06: That's very fun.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_06: Well, it's also, I mean, it is it is just like one of the best it's one of the best reality shows, period.
- 1:28:34SPEAKER_06: So it's like it's just entertaining.
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, and then there was the traitors, but yes.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:28:37SPEAKER_06: Well, true.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_06: And see you there, see you there.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_06: And it's just so creative.
- 1:28:42SPEAKER_06: I mean, like, I do think that the design challenges, like, if you have kids that are interested in in anything arts related, like seeing that, it must be so just like exciting.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_06: Cool.
- 1:28:49SPEAKER_02: No, you say that it has inspired my older one.
- 1:28:52SPEAKER_02: Now goes to fashion design school because of drag race.
- 1:28:55SPEAKER_02: She would watch the show, go sketch uh outfits that were incredible.
- 1:28:59SPEAKER_02: And so now we send her to a fashion design program.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_02: It's amazing.
- 1:29:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:02SPEAKER_02: That is so cool.
- 1:29:03SPEAKER_05: That's she made a dress.
- 1:29:05SPEAKER_05: Well, she drew a dress that's a box of McDonald's fries.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_05: Like it's so fucking good.
- 1:29:09SPEAKER_05: It's like scammed right in the eye.
- 1:29:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:29:13SPEAKER_05: Where did you get scammed?
- 1:29:14SPEAKER_05: Where did you get this idea?
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_07: Unreal.
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_05: She's like, our commission's open.
- 1:29:20SPEAKER_05: The thing that I don't like about it being season 18 and they're still not allowing bearded queens.
- 1:29:28SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:29:31SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but especially like living here, it's like like in New York, like there are amazing bearded drag queens.
- 1:29:38SPEAKER_05: Like they can paint just as well as someone who shapes their face every day.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_05: Totally.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_05: Um, but it I don't know.
- 1:29:43SPEAKER_06: It's also like I don't know what they would lose by just like trying it.
- 1:29:46SPEAKER_06: You know what I mean?
- 1:29:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:51SPEAKER_07: Do you feel the same way about like Drag Kings being on?
- 1:29:53SPEAKER_05: Or um I guess I don't watch enough to have experienced a drag king.
- 1:29:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:59SPEAKER_05: I'm really with my viewership.
- 1:30:01SPEAKER_05: I was like very down from season two through season seven, and then I saw like 13 and 14, and then like this one.
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_06: I think there was a time where drag queens and kings could have over overlapped better on drag race, but drag race has elevated to such a degree of spectacle that it's like, I just don't think drag and then I'm not I'm sort of speaking out of my ass here.
- 1:30:20SPEAKER_06: I know a little bit about the drag king performance world, but they just don't like output that kind of like rhinestoned over the top spectacle that a lot of queens are are doing for a competition like that.
- 1:30:31SPEAKER_02: I mean they probably deserve their own competition.
- 1:30:33SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 1:30:33SPEAKER_02: That's the competition.
- 1:30:34SPEAKER_07: I think the rubric is different.
- 1:30:35SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:30:36SPEAKER_07: And because it's just like I've said this before on the pod, not to cut you off, but um, like if they're sort of trying to match queens that are going over the top, right?
- 1:30:45SPEAKER_07: Then that sort of takes away from like male impersonation or like you know what maybe drag king dumb started as.
- 1:30:52SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:30:52SPEAKER_07: And then it's like, what are we talking about, type of thing?
- 1:30:54SPEAKER_07: Because it's just like things look like Mike.
- 1:30:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:58SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:30:59SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 1:30:59SPEAKER_07: Like if it's elevated beyond to a point of like whatever, you sort of lose the like kingness of it, maybe, and then it's like, what are we talking about?
- 1:31:07SPEAKER_07: Is it just like a costume parade, which is fine, but it's just like what are we, you know?
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_07: They deserve their own show.
- 1:31:12SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:31:12SPEAKER_06: And then the the King of Drag show, which was hosted by Murray Hill, who's also like a dream guest.
- 1:31:16SPEAKER_06: I'd love to have Murray on the couch.
- 1:31:17SPEAKER_06: Yeah, genius.
- 1:31:18SPEAKER_07: Um I know Murray Hill from Real.
- 1:31:21SPEAKER_07: Over Rony?
- 1:31:22SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:31:23SPEAKER_06: He pops up in there a lot in the early seasons.
- 1:31:25SPEAKER_06: He's everywhere.
- 1:31:26SPEAKER_06: That's right.
- 1:31:27SPEAKER_06: But uh that show I uh was obviously on it didn't have the budget of a drag race, but the casting I thought was pretty interesting, and the type of drag they were doing was interesting too.
- 1:31:34SPEAKER_06: And I would love to see it um continue to like flourish.
- 1:31:37SPEAKER_06: Uh but yeah, I I agree.
- 1:31:39SPEAKER_06: There's something weird where it's like maybe playing devil's advocate, it's like, okay, well, maybe it expands drag king performance by allowing less typically masculine uh presentation to be incorporated, but then you're right, it does just become like a question of what do we have to the unisex costume showing.
- 1:31:54SPEAKER_06: Maybe I'm closed-minded.
- 1:31:56SPEAKER_05: Oh my god, what a terrible name.
- 1:31:58SPEAKER_05: The unisex costume show.
- 1:32:00SPEAKER_07: The unisex That's where we're heading.
- 1:32:03SPEAKER_07: See you there.
- 1:32:04SPEAKER_07: Unboxed.
- 1:32:05SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna pull down my skirt.
- 1:32:07SPEAKER_07: It happens once an episode.
- 1:32:08SPEAKER_07: Yeah, once an episode.
- 1:32:09SPEAKER_07: Um The cunt or punt I have written down.
- 1:32:12SPEAKER_07: Now, y'all, I don't think you both don't drink, correct?
- 1:32:14SPEAKER_07: I drink.
- 1:32:15SPEAKER_07: Oh, you do?
- 1:32:16SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 1:32:16SPEAKER_07: Love.
- 1:32:17SPEAKER_07: Um, I had pitted olives in martinis.
- 1:32:20SPEAKER_02: Pitted olives.
- 1:32:21SPEAKER_07: Pit wait, pitted with like pits or pitted with like blue cheese or like no no no.
- 1:32:24SPEAKER_07: Pits.
- 1:32:25SPEAKER_07: Oh no, I don't I don't want to I don't want to.
- 1:32:26SPEAKER_07: Yeah, lately I've been getting a martini and there's like pit in there.
- 1:32:29SPEAKER_07: I'm like, what?
- 1:32:30SPEAKER_07: Your barback isn't doing their own.
- 1:32:32SPEAKER_05: How do you put the someone bought the wrong olive?
- 1:32:34SPEAKER_05: Artisanal like like somebody bought the wrong olive.
- 1:32:36SPEAKER_05: That's what it is.
- 1:32:37SPEAKER_07: Exactly.
- 1:32:37SPEAKER_07: Like mixology bullshit that I don't even like want or take out, but it's like, okay, I'm here.
- 1:32:42SPEAKER_01: Why is there or is it like a new Brooklyn?
- 1:32:46SPEAKER_01: Like, oh no, if you have the pit in, the flavor is so much better.
- 1:32:49SPEAKER_05: Also, like where do you put here's the thing when you go to let's say you go to like a Tapas restaurant and they you order the hot olives, they give you a bowl for the pit.
- 1:33:00SPEAKER_05: If you order a cocktail and they so fucking cheap, right?
- 1:33:04SPEAKER_05: A bowl for the pit?
- 1:33:05SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 1:33:06SPEAKER_05: Um, I'll make$20 for these.
- 1:33:08SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:08SPEAKER_05: But like if you get a cocktail and there's an olive with a pit in it, where does the pit go?
- 1:33:12SPEAKER_05: You can't throw it back into your martini.
- 1:33:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:15SPEAKER_07: If I'm on my first escort date as a draft queen, right?
- 1:33:18SPEAKER_07: Where the fuck am I putting that pit?
- 1:33:19SPEAKER_07: You know what I mean?
- 1:33:20SPEAKER_07: As a boy, I'm like, but like Gina's like your Yeah.
- 1:33:27SPEAKER_07: I don't know.
- 1:33:28SPEAKER_05: Um, something akin to that.
- 1:33:29SPEAKER_05: Well, let me ask you this.
- 1:33:31SPEAKER_05: Um cunt or punt, THC as an alcohol replacement.
- 1:33:37SPEAKER_06: Do you feel like it's doing the same thing?
- 1:33:39SPEAKER_06: Like it's getting to like the same type of fun, I guess.
- 1:33:43SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 1:33:43SPEAKER_05: Cause I don't, I mean You're not doing it at all.
- 1:33:45SPEAKER_05: Oh, that's not the question.
- 1:33:46SPEAKER_05: My algorithm sends me a lot of these like social spritzes, and I'm like, okay, algorithm.
- 1:33:50SPEAKER_05: I actually don't do any drugs, yeah, but like thank you for the recommendation.
- 1:33:55SPEAKER_05: I think for people who like do want to drink less, like, is THC like a good option?
- 1:34:01SPEAKER_02: For me, it's punt.
- 1:34:02SPEAKER_02: I don't like I like my drinks to be drinks and I want my pot to be, you know.
- 1:34:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:34:07SPEAKER_05: There's also, I feel like there's also a learning curve.
- 1:34:10SPEAKER_05: Like, I walked into the deli recently, and the social tonics were right next to the actual seltzer.
- 1:34:18SPEAKER_05: So like you kind of have to be paying attention.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:34:20SPEAKER_05: And there was, and I look, right?
- 1:34:23SPEAKER_05: Like, just because I look doesn't mean I'm gonna buy one and drink one.
- 1:34:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:34:26SPEAKER_05: But I looked and there was an iced tea lemonade tonic that had 50 milligrams of tea.
- 1:34:32SPEAKER_05: I'm like, oh my god, five zero fifty.
- 1:34:35SPEAKER_05: I don't like animals that much.
- 1:34:37SPEAKER_07: I'm a pothead.
- 1:34:38SPEAKER_04: That's insane.
- 1:34:38SPEAKER_04: That's a law, right?
- 1:34:39SPEAKER_07: Yeah, but uh that's how I feel.
- 1:34:41SPEAKER_07: Like it's like the carbs were right next to the vegetable.
- 1:34:44SPEAKER_02: I'm like, you know.
- 1:34:46SPEAKER_02: Uh no, but there was like a docuseries about Paris Hilton's wedding, and I guess uh Kathy Hilton like accidentally served somebody thinking it was a seltzer and gave them a white claw and like not knowing, and then Paris, like halfway through this person, like really enjoying their seltzer.
- 1:35:01SPEAKER_02: They're like, this shit's lit.
- 1:35:02SPEAKER_02: Paris figured it out.
- 1:35:03SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 1:35:05SPEAKER_07: Luckily, it takes 30 to do one thing.
- 1:35:07SPEAKER_07: Well, but um, yeah.
- 1:35:08SPEAKER_07: I'm a huge pothead, so I don't know.
- 1:35:11SPEAKER_07: But even 50 and one drink.
- 1:35:13SPEAKER_07: No, I don't like edibles.
- 1:35:14SPEAKER_07: I always see it in him.
- 1:35:15SPEAKER_07: I'm like, edibles, like I can only sniff out when someone's like edible high.
- 1:35:18SPEAKER_07: I'm like, he's awkward.
- 1:35:19SPEAKER_07: They're awkward, she's awkward.
- 1:35:20SPEAKER_07: It's getting weird.
- 1:35:22SPEAKER_07: But I I like to smoke.
- 1:35:23SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and I'm so much so that I'm taking my dry January is no weed all month.
- 1:35:28SPEAKER_07: Oh, nice.
- 1:35:29SPEAKER_07: How's it going?
- 1:35:29SPEAKER_07: Uh I'm bored as fuck.
- 1:35:31SPEAKER_07: But I and I'm looking forward to February 1.
- 1:35:34SPEAKER_07: Can we talk though?
- 1:35:35SPEAKER_02: I think it's um was it I I just that was a Joan Rivers.
- 1:35:38SPEAKER_02: I uh can we talk?
- 1:35:40SPEAKER_02: I think it's interesting how now that we've come around with the pot, it seems to be that there is people who find it acceptable to show up to like talk shows high that would never show up to a talk show drunk.
- 1:35:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right.
- 1:35:55SPEAKER_02: Like, why is that okay?
- 1:35:57SPEAKER_06: It's the same thing with driving, I find a lot too.
- 1:35:59SPEAKER_06: People will be like ripping a joint or like a blunt out of their car.
- 1:36:03SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 1:36:03SPEAKER_06: I feel like uh weed has gotten so much more like uh refined, I guess, in the last like decade or 20 years or whatever, that it's like I guess you can kind of rely on what you're consuming to be the same experience almost every time.
- 1:36:14SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 1:36:15SPEAKER_06: But I always feel like it is kind of like a roll of the dice.
- 1:36:16SPEAKER_06: Like maybe you just like maybe it was dosed wrong and then like you go on on a talk show and you're like out of your mind.
- 1:36:22SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:36:22SPEAKER_07: It's I don't know how you would like be it's a rookie mistake to me.
- 1:36:24SPEAKER_07: Cause like when I, I don't know, 10 years ago, would like me and Kat would get high to go to like social outings, and you you know, we learned the hard way that it's like not the best move.
- 1:36:34SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 1:36:34SPEAKER_07: You you get weird.
- 1:36:36SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:36:36SPEAKER_07: I like to like go out and drink with people and then smoke with those people and have it evolve, and you're fine and comfortable.
- 1:36:42SPEAKER_07: But if you enter a party or like a social gathering, like high, it's like, why would you ever do that?
- 1:36:46SPEAKER_07: Right.
- 1:36:46SPEAKER_07: Rookie mistake, I'm a pothead and I that I don't need to I don't struggle with that.
- 1:36:50SPEAKER_07: I'm like lesson learned.
- 1:36:52SPEAKER_05: When I knew it was gonna be like uh significantly dancy or significantly sexy, like I would take a couple hits on the sidewalk before we went in, right?
- 1:37:05SPEAKER_05: But if I knew it was like like just talking to people, like I and what you say about driving, I can't imagine.
- 1:37:15SPEAKER_05: Um, even when I was like, if you wanted me to have an absolute panic attack, let me hit a joint and then say, now you have to drive this car in New York City.
- 1:37:25SPEAKER_05: I couldn't, I couldn't do it.
- 1:37:26SPEAKER_05: I would switch the city.
- 1:37:28SPEAKER_05: I would fall apart.
- 1:37:29SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 1:37:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, you fall apart driving anywhere in New York City.
- 1:37:31SPEAKER_02: I do, yeah.
- 1:37:32SPEAKER_02: I just not a driver, I'm not a driver.
- 1:37:35SPEAKER_05: I'm a subway rider.
- 1:37:36SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I take the people's chariot.
- 1:37:39SPEAKER_02: A rickshaw.
- 1:37:40SPEAKER_02: You have a car.
- 1:37:41SPEAKER_02: We do have a car.
- 1:37:42SPEAKER_06: Yeah, uh, so do we, but I have not dug it out of this now.
- 1:37:44SPEAKER_06: Tell me it's a minivan.
- 1:37:45SPEAKER_02: It's not a minivan, it's an SUV, but it's not a love cheek.
- 1:37:48SPEAKER_06: I'm assuming you probably have dug yours out because you have to take your children's places and to school.
- 1:37:52SPEAKER_07: Mine's rotting, mine's rusting under a pile of school, normal adult.
- 1:37:55SPEAKER_07: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:37:55SPEAKER_07: I don't even know where my car is.
- 1:37:56SPEAKER_02: No, my husband does all that though.
- 1:37:58SPEAKER_02: I'm like, no, I don't I have no clue where my car is.
- 1:38:02SPEAKER_07: Like literally.
- 1:38:03SPEAKER_07: I'm like, wait.
- 1:38:03SPEAKER_07: I have one more contraband.
- 1:38:05SPEAKER_07: And I do also want to know about your uh vaping.
- 1:38:07SPEAKER_07: Uh oh yeah.
- 1:38:08SPEAKER_07: You're quitting for good, or like what's the story?
- 1:38:10SPEAKER_07: See, I smoke Sigs and I started at 30, which is like the saddest thing of all time.
- 1:38:15SPEAKER_07: It's like, girl, big mistakey.
- 1:38:18SPEAKER_07: Um but yeah, vaping is hard.
- 1:38:21SPEAKER_07: And and I feel better and healthier when I smoke SIGs and don't have a vape because when I had that vape, I was like waking up in the middle of the night and cuddling with it.
- 1:38:27SPEAKER_07: It was my teddy bear.
- 1:38:28SPEAKER_07: I was on the shitter with four.
- 1:38:30SPEAKER_07: Cuddling with a vape is the most I was boofing them scene I've felt.
- 1:38:35SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:38:36SPEAKER_07: Crazy.
- 1:38:37SPEAKER_07: Yeah, and I was smoking elf's uh last country punt um neon lights that like rope lights as like a modern chandelier in like a space.
- 1:38:47SPEAKER_07: Punt.
- 1:38:48SPEAKER_07: Punt.
- 1:38:49SPEAKER_07: Punt.
- 1:38:49SPEAKER_07: Where are you seeing this?
- 1:38:50SPEAKER_07: I was just at a fucking bar in Dumbo, of course.
- 1:38:53SPEAKER_07: And uh Yeah, that's exactly what it sounds like.
- 1:38:55SPEAKER_06: So it was like rope, yeah, like fake chandelier.
- 1:38:58SPEAKER_07: It's like shut up.
- 1:38:59SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
- 1:38:59SPEAKER_07: Like, get out of here with the case.
- 1:39:00SPEAKER_06: We have a yearly rope light installation at a subway stop.
- 1:39:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, which like I'm actually kind of happy to see it when it comes back every year because it's very organic.
- 1:39:08SPEAKER_07: This isn't like ropelight, it's like expensive rope light.
- 1:39:11SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39:11SPEAKER_06: Like you all know what I'm talking about.
- 1:39:13SPEAKER_06: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:39:13SPEAKER_06: Drippy drapey.
- 1:39:14SPEAKER_06: Shut up.
- 1:39:15SPEAKER_06: Um okay, sorry to bounce off of that.
- 1:39:17SPEAKER_06: Counter punt a themed bar or restaurant, like a honky tunk like Western.
- 1:39:24SPEAKER_06: I want to say cunt.
- 1:39:25SPEAKER_02: A cunt, yeah.
- 1:39:26SPEAKER_02: Okay, interesting.
- 1:39:26SPEAKER_06: Oh, like in New York, like depends.
- 1:39:29SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 1:39:30SPEAKER_06: I feel like it's punt for me.
- 1:39:32SPEAKER_05: New York kind of punt.
- 1:39:33SPEAKER_05: Punt for me.
- 1:39:34SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, but I would go to like a yeah, I'd go to a honky tonk bar in like Kansas City.
- 1:39:39SPEAKER_05: That's a real, that's like a more real than than New York.
- 1:39:42SPEAKER_05: Also, it's like bars do kind of theme here, even though people don't want to admit it.
- 1:39:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like for the Eagle is a theme bar.
- 1:39:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, totally.
- 1:39:50SPEAKER_05: And so like for those of us who have been here like a minute, like, do we remember 2012 through 2014 when everything was a tiki bar?
- 1:39:59SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 1:39:59SPEAKER_05: Like things things trend.
- 1:40:01SPEAKER_02: See, I'm a Disney gay, so I love you too.
- 1:40:04SPEAKER_07: I'm kind of a Disney gay too.
- 1:40:05SPEAKER_07: Seekly, closeted Disney gay.
- 1:40:07SPEAKER_02: I I thought I was closeted, but I don't I was just teasing myself.
- 1:40:10SPEAKER_05: I know.
- 1:40:10SPEAKER_05: Brian was like dead, like straight face, like I'm not really like a I'm not like a Disney Disney gay.
- 1:40:17SPEAKER_05: I'm like, uh to me.
- 1:40:21SPEAKER_06: I'm not a Disney adult.
- 1:40:23SPEAKER_06: My 2026 years resolution to be like less Disney talk on the board.
- 1:40:25SPEAKER_07: And mine was literally like more Disney on the I'm literally going on a Disney cruise in two weeks.
- 1:40:29SPEAKER_07: Oh my god, amazing.
- 1:40:30SPEAKER_07: Wood.
- 1:40:32SPEAKER_02: The treasure.
- 1:40:33SPEAKER_02: It's our first one, I'm very excited about the treasure.
- 1:40:35SPEAKER_02: Which I chose because they have a haunted mansion themed uh bar.
- 1:40:38SPEAKER_02: That's cool.
- 1:40:38SPEAKER_06: So cunt.
- 1:40:39SPEAKER_06: So cunt themed bar.
- 1:40:40SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I love a themed bar.
- 1:40:41SPEAKER_07: Disney?
- 1:40:42SPEAKER_07: I feel like tries hard.
- 1:40:43SPEAKER_07: They get the details right, they try.
- 1:40:45SPEAKER_06: I get that there, but it's like in New York, it's like when, I don't know, you go to like Boots and Saddle or something or like whatever.
- 1:40:50SPEAKER_06: Mars 2012.
- 1:40:51SPEAKER_04: Well, that's Mars 2012.
- 1:40:53SPEAKER_07: That's cunt.
- 1:40:53SPEAKER_07: That's cut.
- 1:40:54SPEAKER_07: They need to bring that back.
- 1:40:55SPEAKER_07: In an ironic way, no, it was not.
- 1:40:56SPEAKER_07: Yeah, like they do need to bring 20 things.
- 1:41:00SPEAKER_06: My I don't, yeah, I don't, I just want the bar to be like quiet, empty, and like kind of dark.
- 1:41:04SPEAKER_06: Like that's all right.
- 1:41:05SPEAKER_06: That's all I need.
- 1:41:06SPEAKER_06: We'll see you at Jekyll and Hyde.
- 1:41:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, which is like the exact opposite of what the bar owner wants.
- 1:41:10SPEAKER_05: Like I'm happy you're at peace, but like uh we need this to be full from 7 p.m.
- 1:41:15SPEAKER_05: to 2 a.m.
- 1:41:16SPEAKER_05: just to pay the rent.
- 1:41:17SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:41:18SPEAKER_07: Has anyone been to Jekyll and Hyde?
- 1:41:19SPEAKER_07: Yeah, well Jekyll Hyde today.
- 1:41:22SPEAKER_07: I have never waited to Jekyll and Hyde is it still?

- 1:41:29SPEAKER_02: Have you read Jeff Hiller's book?
- 1:41:30SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 1:41:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, there's a chapter about when he worked at Jekyll and Hyde, and it is fabulous.
- 1:41:33SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.

- 1:41:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, it wasn't, but yeah, you have to.
- 1:41:39SPEAKER_02: Jeff Hiller's book is so good.
- 1:41:43SPEAKER_07: Absolutely.
