Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatable men will literally complain about the
- 0:04Speaker 1: issue instead of fixing the issue.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah wait a second, though, what I feel like I
- 0:12Speaker 2: know a few people, one very very personally that likes
- 0:16Speaker 2: to complain about issues instead of hearing any sort of
- 0:19Speaker 2: solution to fix set issue. Relatable, right, Jake.
- 0:33Speaker 1: My girlfriend actually showed me this on Instagram and it
- 0:37Speaker 1: really stuck with me. I'm just going to say it
- 0:40Speaker 1: here we go. So ask women why she hates men.
- 0:43Speaker 1: She'll tell you a horrifying story involving violence, abuse, and harassment.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Ask a man why he hates women. He'll complain about feminists,
- 0:51Speaker 1: girls using him for free meals, and a friend who
- 0:53Speaker 1: got friend zone once and she didn't.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Put out Damn, that's so true. That's there's zero comparisons
- 1:02Speaker 2: there at all. When you really say something the way
- 1:05Speaker 2: it is, you just think that's so dumb. And I
- 1:08Speaker 2: was like, she showed me and I was like, what
- 1:09Speaker 2: the actual fuck?
- 1:10Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, like what have women ever actually done? The man?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Genuine question my I was. I was talking to my
- 1:16Speaker 3: parents about it.
- 1:18Speaker 2: They heard saw some clips from our episode with Luke
- 1:21Speaker 2: Bateman and the clips talking about vance against women.
- 1:24Speaker 3: So I was talking to them about it, and my parents.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Are just like, yeah, we've been watching crime shows every
- 1:31Speaker 2: night for twenty years and they were like, ninety nine
- 1:38Speaker 2: percent of the episodes are about a man killing a woman.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's fucked up.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It's honestly crazy, and then we have the nerve to
- 1:47Speaker 1: complain about women.
- 1:48Speaker 2: The Relateds podcast This is about myself Jake Craig aka Daddy,
- 1:52Speaker 2: And I was thinking it didn't fucking hit me, my
- 1:56Speaker 2: pioneer crime mister Audie Clark aka mum me. Also, what
- 2:01Speaker 2: are you sick today? Yeah, maybe that's why I was
- 2:03Speaker 2: a bit slow.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Maybe that's why you're.
- 2:04Speaker 2: A bit slow.
- 2:05Speaker 3: You usually I don't miss now that you said that.
- 2:10Speaker 2: For some reason, I'm going through every single minor interaction
- 2:14Speaker 2: we've had before starting to record today, and I feel
- 2:17Speaker 2: like every single one you've just been like a tiny
- 2:19Speaker 2: bit lagging.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Like maybe maybe that's it's the world forcing me to
- 2:25Speaker 1: slow down.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Like your Wi Fi connections ship, Yeah you needed any
- 2:28Speaker 2: connected to ethne I do I do plug me in
- 2:30Speaker 2: somewhere coming up?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Your mum, get me an IV, get me an IV.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Actually I did have a funny story to start, all right.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You would have fucking loved this if it happened to
- 2:41Speaker 1: us your ego. Yes, I've just stayed in hotel room
- 2:48Speaker 1: in Kingscliff, yeah, half an hour from the Gold Coast.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And as I checked in, I noticed there was a
- 2:54Speaker 1: lot of kids wearing New South Wales Origin jerseys. I
- 2:58Speaker 1: was like, oh, yeah, the Origins been up. He only
- 3:00Speaker 1: knew that because you told me, no, no, it's on
- 3:02Speaker 1: this week.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Was this week?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's on Wednesday.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, even that's the story of more So,
- 3:08Speaker 1: all these kids were there and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 1: the Origins. I knew it was around this time anyway.
- 3:12Speaker 1: And then I go to check in my room and
- 3:15Speaker 1: the elevator waiting is I don't know who any of
- 3:18Speaker 1: the Origin players with Tedesco, Oh James today game Tosco
- 3:21Speaker 1: and some other other player from Origins, they're staying in Kingsley.
- 3:24Speaker 2: I was staying there.
- 3:25Speaker 3: They just hate Queensland. They won't stay in Queensland.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They just the order. I say, it's something like that. Anyway,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, that's kind of cool. I don't
- 3:33Speaker 2: know he's right now, he's one of the best player
- 3:35Speaker 2: in the game. Yeah, And I was like that's cool.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And then a day goes past and I go for
- 3:41Speaker 1: a walk with my headphones, my wide headphones in and
- 3:44Speaker 1: had on and I'm drinking a power aid because I'm sick,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and I was like, I'll just go go for a
- 3:47Speaker 1: twenty minute walk in the sun because I hadn't been
- 3:48Speaker 1: out of my hotel room. And then I come back
- 3:51Speaker 1: and all these kids what they must do is wait
- 3:52Speaker 1: for the team to come around, and then they get
- 3:54Speaker 1: their footy balls signed. And one of the kids came
- 3:56Speaker 1: up to me and he goes, excuse me, have you
- 3:58Speaker 1: signed my ball yet?
- 4:05Speaker 2: Oh? Ship, what did you say?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was like, I was like, so, dude, Like I'm
- 4:09Speaker 1: not in the team, you should have signed it, Like yeah,
- 4:15Speaker 1: And then I was like, fucking if I looked that big.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Fucking over, I looked like a fucking State of Origin
- 4:22Speaker 2: player that she was like six That is so funny.
- 4:29Speaker 3: That would have made me feel good.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah. The mom like clocked it like as I said no,
- 4:34Speaker 2: and then she just started laughing. I saw it made me.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I know, I know, I know, I'm like, uh, the
- 4:42Speaker 2: career might be there, guys. Who am I I went
- 4:45Speaker 2: for so in the first game, I went for New
- 4:48Speaker 2: South Wales instead of Origin. This might be the first
- 4:51Speaker 2: time we've ever talked about footy on the podcast. Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And then second game because New South Wales won the
- 4:55Speaker 2: first game. In the second game, I went for Queensland. Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 2: I've got no loyalty. I live in both places now
- 5:01Speaker 2: because I wanted the third game to be a decider,
- 5:04Speaker 2: So the third game is now a decider. Queensland won
- 5:06Speaker 2: the second game. So who do you actually want to win?
- 5:08Speaker 2: I think, but my heart's saying New South Wales, like
- 5:10Speaker 2: I feel like the Raised and then if Queensland wins, though,
- 5:15Speaker 2: I can be like, you should be one of those
- 5:17Speaker 2: people who have like the New soth Wales jerseys on
- 5:19Speaker 2: and then the newth Wales Jersey on and then as
- 5:21Speaker 2: soon as Queensland win, just looks like I just got
- 5:26Speaker 2: excited and fucking blended. No Beth goes for Queensland. Her
- 5:30Speaker 2: dad was born there, No dog, Yeah, yeah, what I
- 5:37Speaker 2: should do? Maybe I should support Beth and I'll did
- 5:40Speaker 2: you see I saw this video? So World Cup has
- 5:43Speaker 2: just obviously has been everywhere on my phone. The Mexican
- 5:50Speaker 2: team and the English team they're actually playing as we
- 5:53Speaker 2: speak right now, and the Mexican citizens go for their
- 6:00Speaker 2: fucking team found out what hotel the English team was
- 6:02Speaker 2: staying in, really, and they went out on the street
- 6:06Speaker 2: with drums and speakers and fucking fire works and we're
- 6:11Speaker 2: just so they couldn't so they.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Couldn't sleep the night prior.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And I was like, I would get me, Oh yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: I'd be calling on the coaching, but we've got to move.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll player give me a helicopter out
- 6:23Speaker 2: of here, right, yeah, like, or just come give me
- 6:25Speaker 2: that sleeping pill.
- 6:26Speaker 1: It's funny because like that's not illegal, but it feels it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's pretty bad sportsmanship.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And I saw all these comments of.
- 6:34Speaker 2: People be in like if you got to do that
- 6:35Speaker 2: for your team to win, then your team is not
- 6:36Speaker 2: gonna be good enough to win on some ship. Like
- 6:38Speaker 2: that's not a win. That's just fucking bad sportsmanship. But
- 6:42Speaker 2: I should do that to do South Wales. Yeah, because
- 6:44Speaker 2: you could tell me the hotel the whole team, I assume.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but this will come out too late, guys, Sorry,
- 6:51Speaker 1: I would be a snitch.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Funny, but yeah, do you want to do RG question,
- 6:55Speaker 2: let's do it. Let's jump into the IRG question. This
- 6:57Speaker 2: one was good, actually, yeah, this was funny. We asked,
- 7:01Speaker 2: men will literally blank instead of blank, and some of.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Them are pretty valid.
- 7:08Speaker 2: In my opinion, all of mine was so valid. Do
- 7:10Speaker 2: you want me to go first? Please? Men will literally
- 7:13Speaker 2: rewrite history and facts instead of apologizing or admitting fault. Yes, yes, yes,
- 7:20Speaker 2: yes they will. Yes we will, yes we will.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's like because we joke on the pod honestly about like, no,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I would admit when my girlfriend's wrong.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I won't admit when you're wrong. There's a difference, actually,
- 7:33Speaker 2: is there?
- 7:34Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 7:34Speaker 1: So like I'll rewrite history or something like that to
- 7:37Speaker 1: prove myself right against you, I'll do anything in my
- 7:40Speaker 1: power to prove it from me again, But to my girlfriend,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I could happily admit when I'm wrong.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's yeah. Like, is it all right if
- 7:47Speaker 2: we're gaslighting each other?
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's friendly.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Gas lining goes a long way. But like a friendly
- 7:54Speaker 2: gas lighting can same as like a little white lie.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but like gender based gas lighting isn't to be
- 8:01Speaker 1: stand for Yeah, yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, we won't stand for that.
- 8:04Speaker 3: There's a line.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Funny thing happening the other day, So we were in
- 8:07Speaker 1: a car park, me and my girlfriend and I go
- 8:09Speaker 1: to pull out. She goes, you can't go this way,
- 8:11Speaker 1: like it's a dead end. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And then she goes, no, it's a dead end, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: I'm like, well, I can't turn around with wait and
- 8:19Speaker 1: see it was right And then we turned the corner
- 8:23Speaker 1: and it looked like a dead end. To give her credit,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and she goes, told you drove a little bit firm
- 8:28Speaker 1: you get out. I was like, firstly, you're wrong. Secondly,
- 8:32Speaker 1: you celebrated too early, suck ship that nothing would have
- 8:38Speaker 1: felt better than that. That would have been the highest.
- 8:41Speaker 2: It felt great. You like that could be that that
- 8:45Speaker 2: could be an addiction.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that could start to be an addiction.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Bro, it felt great.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And I've had a bad run recently of like not
- 8:51Speaker 1: getting things right, So really I was jew.
- 8:53Speaker 2: That is so funny.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Wow, that is funny.
- 8:56Speaker 2: All right my turn.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Men will literally complain about the issue instead of fixing
- 9:02Speaker 1: the issue.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, wait a second though, what I feel like
- 9:09Speaker 2: I know a few people, one very very personally that
- 9:12Speaker 2: likes to complain about issues instead of hearing any sort
- 9:16Speaker 2: of solution to fix set issue.
- 9:18Speaker 3: It took me talking about my girlfriend.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Oh okay, coming at us here it's pretty well known
- 9:24Speaker 2: that most of the time women would just like someone
- 9:26Speaker 2: to listen, and maybe every now and then we like
- 9:28Speaker 2: to complain, And so you went logic. Yeah, I was thinking,
- 9:31Speaker 2: like big picture problems, So men be complaining out here,
- 9:34Speaker 2: but say that one's like equal, then yeah, I feel
- 9:37Speaker 2: like that's a bit of a double standard. There, Come on,
- 9:39Speaker 2: why can't we do it soon?
- 9:41Speaker 1: I saw one and said, men will literally ask if
- 9:43Speaker 1: I want water when I need to be taken to hospital.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Water. Men will literally ask are you okay instead of
- 9:54Speaker 2: calling an ambulance? Uh, men will This one's funny because
- 9:58Speaker 2: I feel like this. If you're if you connect the
- 10:01Speaker 2: dots you meet, you may think it's quite funny. Men
- 10:04Speaker 2: will mob I can. Men will literally buy a three
- 10:07Speaker 2: thousand dollars meat smoker instead of going to therapy. I
- 10:10Speaker 2: can connect the dots. How funny is that?
- 10:17Speaker 3: That's fucking so true?
- 10:18Speaker 1: Bro won't say names, But we have a friend so
- 10:22Speaker 1: our group chat of all our friends has gone dead
- 10:24Speaker 1: for about eight eight months.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and then all.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Of a sudden, this guy gets god knows how expensive
- 10:30Speaker 1: the meat smoker was.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Trager one. Yeah, I assume that is AOD brand.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Really, really good.
- 10:35Speaker 1: He starts giving us like three minute long tutorials was
- 10:39Speaker 1: setting up this meat smoker and then smoking meat. It's
- 10:43Speaker 1: funny because one of our other friends who are still
- 10:45Speaker 1: friends with messaged me like just personally and goes, what
- 10:48Speaker 1: the fuck's going on? It's like, no one gives a
- 10:51Speaker 1: fuck about your meat smoker made.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It's likely equivalent of buying a slow cooker and being like,
- 10:57Speaker 2: so this is how I make this. You'd leave it
- 11:02Speaker 2: in there for eight hours, your fucking idiot. Fuck. That
- 11:07Speaker 2: is funny and not like let's like, I don't I
- 11:10Speaker 2: don't think I've ever even had any smoked meat, or
- 11:12Speaker 2: we would have had some smoked brisket. It like a
- 11:16Speaker 2: taste good.
- 11:16Speaker 1: It tastes good, but it's just like so much effort
- 11:18Speaker 1: and expensive.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I know it does taste good anyway, Yeah, all right.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Men will literally spend hours building a flat pack and
- 11:27Speaker 1: instead of spending ten minutes reading the instruction manual.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Oh, I'm always always been an instructions guy. What about you? Ah,
- 11:34Speaker 2: not always, but most of the time there's not a
- 11:36Speaker 2: single part of me, like sometimes I got faith in myself.
- 11:39Speaker 2: If somebody opens a flat pack and just looks at
- 11:42Speaker 2: the instruction and goes nah, and there's just like you know,
- 11:44Speaker 2: different size screws, different like they're all labeled with a letter,
- 11:47Speaker 2: depends on the complexity of it, and they're just gonna
- 11:50Speaker 2: go for it.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You're a carpenter, Bato, I would have had some more
- 11:53Speaker 1: faith in you.
- 11:54Speaker 2: No. I feel like the reason I watched reading instructions
- 11:57Speaker 2: is because I'm a carpenter. I want it done right first.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Do it once, do it right?
- 12:03Speaker 2: What am I paying for?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Mate?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Who waste the time reading instructions? You pay a carpenter
- 12:10Speaker 2: to come and do Imagine you buy, like an ikea
- 12:12Speaker 2: flat pack and you're like, I don't want to funk
- 12:13Speaker 2: with this, so you pay a carpenter to come build it,
- 12:15Speaker 2: and then you watch him reading the instructions and you're like,
- 12:17Speaker 2: what am I paying for? I could do this.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I can read instructions too.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I thought this would say both of us time. It's
- 12:25Speaker 2: what you do, it's your job. That's a good business.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Did you go to school for this?
- 12:30Speaker 1: If you if the podcast ever fails, you should start.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I care a carpenter and you go around just building
- 12:36Speaker 1: flat packs for everyone.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It's a genius I reckon that would go viral it's.
- 12:39Speaker 3: A fucking genius idea and you.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Get really because it is annoying at the start, but
- 12:43Speaker 1: if you do a couple, you get really good. You'd
- 12:44Speaker 1: come in and out, Yeah, two hundred bucks, please take
- 12:46Speaker 1: a bunp an hour. True, you'd be a beast at it.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And how cheap our care stuff is. That's the downside
- 12:51Speaker 1: of it, but it kind of offsets it.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, my parents they they just bought an Ikea kitchen.
- 12:59Speaker 3: They went to Ikea and for their house, not for
- 13:01Speaker 3: the one there.
- 13:03Speaker 2: So they're like, they are they bought one because they're
- 13:08Speaker 2: fixing up a kitchen in the house and selling it
- 13:11Speaker 2: and the acts are good.
- 13:12Speaker 3: And my dad said, he said it looks so nice.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It was it's like quite a bit cheaper than getting
- 13:17Speaker 2: a kitchen from like an actual kitchen place. And he
- 13:20Speaker 2: said that the trade off is that he has to
- 13:22Speaker 2: build it. Yeah, but he.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Doesn't know how to do it. He'll have to read
- 13:25Speaker 3: the instructions and stuff.
- 13:26Speaker 2: But he said, like, you can get higher end ones
- 13:29Speaker 2: two from my Kia and they're fucking nice. Bro.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I've talked about we have a storage issue in
- 13:36Speaker 1: our walk in wardrobe. We're gonna when we get back
- 13:38Speaker 1: from Europe and so have a bit of cash pimpered
- 13:40Speaker 1: out of our kia.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah that's people go on TikTok and just look up
- 13:44Speaker 2: like ikea walk in wardrobe storage. People have the best
- 13:47Speaker 2: ideas can buy like ten individual things that go tow.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Can we get the double amount of space in there?
- 13:53Speaker 3: Hundred percent?
- 13:53Speaker 2: If the way you organize it is huge. Men will
- 13:57Speaker 2: literally earn a PhD in reception instead of a certificate
- 14:02Speaker 2: in communication. True. More it's a lot more effort to
- 14:06Speaker 2: get a PhD than a certificate as well, So deception, Yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 2: I know all right.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Men will literally vomit facts onto you about the field
- 14:15Speaker 1: you're an expert in, instead of listening to you and
- 14:18Speaker 1: asking questions.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Why is it so man coded to like go, oh,
- 14:24Speaker 2: you know, I know a few things about that.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I feel like I've got a few facts in my
- 14:28Speaker 3: head about that.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's yeah, I feel like on a date, when you
- 14:31Speaker 1: want a date with a girl you've just met, instead
- 14:33Speaker 1: of going like, I'm going to ask her some questions
- 14:35Speaker 1: about what she likes, I'm about Wait, I know what
- 14:38Speaker 1: she does. I can relate to her. It's a bit egotistical.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I feel like I've seen a few tiktoks about that.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I might spit out a.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Few opinions here and there, I might question her of it.
- 14:51Speaker 2: She's like a no, okay. Men will literally argue until
- 15:00Speaker 2: their faces blue that they aren't going bald instead of
- 15:03Speaker 2: just embracing the shiny head.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I think you should embrace to day if you need
- 15:08Speaker 1: a sign any man out there, It doesn't look too bad.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I'm not like.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Arguing that I'm not going bald, but I can't embrace
- 15:17Speaker 2: the shiny head. Really, what would you do if you
- 15:19Speaker 2: were going board? But true? So here's the thing is,
- 15:22Speaker 2: I'm receding they're not going bald bold. So if I
- 15:25Speaker 2: was going bald bald, I think I would you have
- 15:27Speaker 2: been wearing that hat a hell of a lot more.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah no at the moment, it's because my
- 15:33Speaker 2: hair is too long, hated and getting a haircut on Saturday.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And but also part of it is like sometimes when
- 15:41Speaker 2: the wind's blown the right way, you can see the
- 15:44Speaker 2: wrong way, yeah, the wrong oh yeah, the wrong way
- 15:47Speaker 2: for me, the right way for everyone else watching. You
- 15:49Speaker 2: can really see what's going on up there. And it's
- 15:53Speaker 2: I saw Beth showed me this video and it was
- 15:56Speaker 2: like if you know a guy with a receding hairline. Yeah,
- 15:59Speaker 2: go up to him and I came like, oh, what
- 16:00Speaker 2: do you what do you ask the barber to like
- 16:02Speaker 2: get your hair to cut like that?
- 16:05Speaker 3: It's like that's.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Don't touch the top, don't touch the top, don't touch
- 16:09Speaker 2: the top. Yeah, like what what do you ask him
- 16:12Speaker 2: to give him those big hoops at?
- 16:15Speaker 1: That's crazy? Men will literally memorized sports statistics instead of
- 16:22Speaker 1: remembering their friend's birthdays.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so true. Is that's so true?
- 16:30Speaker 2: What am I?
- 16:31Speaker 3: Okay, I've got to be I think I've leaned more.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Into like, my my interest isn't sports, what is your interest?
- 16:40Speaker 3: My interest is more.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I think I would have said movies slightly more in
- 16:47Speaker 2: like the movie genre books recently, but now it's sort
- 16:50Speaker 2: of shifted to books, anything else I have. I hold
- 16:54Speaker 2: interests in some things, but maybe at the moment, the moment,
- 17:00Speaker 2: it's Lord of the Rings because I'm rewatching it. That's fair.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's very male coded. I've recently got a new obsession.
- 17:06Speaker 2: You might love it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: May my girlfriend doesn't get it. But on YouTube there's
- 17:11Speaker 1: YouTubers who go on abandoned railways with hand built like
- 17:17Speaker 1: sort of rail crafted things, and they do the building
- 17:20Speaker 1: process of getting like their wheels that fit on the
- 17:23Speaker 1: edges of the railway track, and then they go explore
- 17:25Speaker 1: these abandoned railway tracks.
- 17:26Speaker 2: That's actually sick. It's pretty cool.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I watched like four hour long ones. Now what, Yeah,
- 17:32Speaker 1: we've been sick. I was like, this is my new obsession.
- 17:35Speaker 3: That's hilarious.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Or I watched a lot of YouTube golf that's a
- 17:39Speaker 2: sport that's just sort of sort of men will literally
- 17:44Speaker 2: snore instead of breathe. That was your snoring, going, I
- 17:47Speaker 2: have something to tell you actually about this. Okay, so
- 17:51Speaker 2: I do ask questions. I so you're gonna be happy
- 17:55Speaker 2: about this because I know your girlfriend doesn't really like
- 17:59Speaker 2: to take your advice very often, usually because it's coming
- 18:02Speaker 2: from you, unfortunately. And so the other day, right before you,
- 18:10Speaker 2: we actually had dinner, the four of us, Beth and
- 18:14Speaker 2: I went into the chemist and just in like a
- 18:16Speaker 2: passing comment, she goes, oh, that's the tape my dad
- 18:20Speaker 2: uses to tape his mouth shut at night. And then
- 18:23Speaker 2: I think she was sort of hinting, I, you know,
- 18:25Speaker 2: should take my mouth.
- 18:26Speaker 3: But then I was in my head, I.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Was like, oh, what do he keep saying I should
- 18:28Speaker 2: try tape in my mouth. Eh, And I bought it
- 18:31Speaker 2: and for the last I guess three four nights of
- 18:33Speaker 2: me nights, it's been I've taped my mouth each night.
- 18:35Speaker 2: And Beth said it's the best thing that's worked. Really,
- 18:38Speaker 2: So she said a little bit every now and then
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's like I kind of do like a like a
- 18:43Speaker 2: little bit of a small still, but she said, it's
- 18:45Speaker 2: the thing of all the things I've tried, it's the
- 18:46Speaker 2: best one where that's pretty good and it doesn't hurt
- 18:49Speaker 2: ripping your mustache. No, no, I it's like a roll
- 18:52Speaker 2: of tape. It was five bucks, get this. I just
- 18:56Speaker 2: cut it, yeah, because and I was thinking, like Ben
- 18:58Speaker 2: her dad he does and skimp out on sleep. This guy,
- 19:01Speaker 2: fucking have you been getting? Really? I don't know. I
- 19:06Speaker 2: don't think so. I actually really really want to try.
- 19:11Speaker 2: And I keep seeing these things. I don't know if
- 19:14Speaker 2: I'm getting like what's the word, I guess influenced, but
- 19:21Speaker 2: I keep seeing that apparently if you sleep on your back,
- 19:25Speaker 2: it's not good to sleep with a pillow at all.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Apparently you're not supposed to sleep with the pillow. You're
- 19:29Speaker 3: supposed to like.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Fillo Apparently it's supposed to like just kind of roll
- 19:40Speaker 2: up a towel and sleep with it under your neck,
- 19:43Speaker 2: so it's like the natural position and it opens up
- 19:46Speaker 2: your airways more because like, if you think about it,
- 19:49Speaker 2: sleeping with a pillow is the equivalent of like sitting
- 19:51Speaker 2: here and like going on your phone and neck down. True,
- 19:53Speaker 2: like it's bad for your posture apparently, but if you
- 19:55Speaker 2: sleep on your side. So here's the thing, is I
- 19:58Speaker 2: kind of chop and change the night. I can wake
- 20:00Speaker 2: up on my side or something like that. But I'd
- 20:03Speaker 2: like to force him on my back.
- 20:04Speaker 1: What if it's got like a very very skinny pillow.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I've had that in the past.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I was a classic dude that had like a sheet
- 20:10Speaker 2: of paper for a pillow, and I used to love
- 20:12Speaker 2: that thing and I would die on the hill that
- 20:13Speaker 2: it was the best thing ever. And then I've got
- 20:15Speaker 2: the I've got the pillow that I have now. Yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 2: and it's a good pillow. But i've recently, I don't
- 20:19Speaker 2: know if it's like placebo, but ever since I started
- 20:21Speaker 2: seeing these videos, I was like.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Oh, when I'm on my back, I'm.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Like, yeah, this really isn't that great. Okay, So I
- 20:27Speaker 2: might try to start sleeping with a towel, okay.
- 20:29Speaker 1: And your point of that was to say you took
- 20:31Speaker 1: my advice. Yeah, oh yeah, sorry to make you feel
- 20:33Speaker 1: good that it took your advice. Yeah, I'm proud of
- 20:35Speaker 1: you and that makes me feel good. I also fucking
- 20:37Speaker 1: sent you mouth tape on Amazon like a game by
- 20:40Speaker 1: like six weeks ago.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So my thing was, I was like, I'm
- 20:44Speaker 2: such an idiot, right, So I bought a fifty dollars
- 20:46Speaker 2: mouthpiece like a mouthguard. Yeah, and it hurt my teeth. Okay, sorry,
- 20:50Speaker 2: I didn't use it anymore. I've made I spent twenty
- 20:52Speaker 2: bucks on my chin strap, and I just stopped using
- 20:55Speaker 2: it because what it was doing was I felt like
- 20:56Speaker 2: it was really pulling my chin back up into my
- 20:58Speaker 2: fucking brain. And I was like, I just don't like this,
- 21:01Speaker 2: And so then.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I stopped everything for a bit.
- 21:02Speaker 2: So I was seventy bucks in the hole and that
- 21:05Speaker 2: he was sending me there just like pack of things
- 21:06Speaker 2: where you get like sixty for forty five bucks and
- 21:09Speaker 2: his mouth tapes, and I was like, I'm not spending
- 21:11Speaker 2: forty five bucks every two months. I've refused, but I
- 21:14Speaker 2: will spend fifty bucks. Well, I will spend seventy bucks
- 21:17Speaker 2: and not use it every again. And now I found
- 21:19Speaker 2: this mouth tape five bucks. Okay, interesting, I'm using it's good.
- 21:22Speaker 1: You don't have sensitive skin either, No, yeah, because it's
- 21:24Speaker 1: probably not that like good for like your skin or bree.
- 21:27Speaker 2: It goes directly on my lips. Yeah, and it still
- 21:29Speaker 2: feels frone. Oh, not any of the skin surrounding. Nah. Okay,
- 21:33Speaker 2: Because I was like, I don't want to cut my
- 21:35Speaker 2: mustache because that's my personality. Like if I cut my mustache, if.
- 21:39Speaker 1: You went full mouth, you would avoid the little there's
- 21:44Speaker 1: no you've got You're getting room outside of where you're
- 21:46Speaker 1: put in the tape. You've just been around there. It's
- 21:48Speaker 1: got more structure behind it. So if I was to
- 21:50Speaker 1: cut on my stage, because I you won't just do
- 21:53Speaker 1: it once. You don't have to cut your stars and
- 21:55Speaker 1: then can you get used? Wouldn't rip your hair out
- 21:56Speaker 1: it's all that sticky.
- 21:57Speaker 2: It'd be such a weird. It's I thought I was
- 21:59Speaker 2: a little I need to buy more.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Not I used to do it, and I woke up
- 22:02Speaker 1: a couple of times wgging out.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I haven't woken up wigging out yet.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it keeps happening to me. So you know
- 22:08Speaker 2: how the bad is promen know, we constantly complain about
- 22:10Speaker 2: pissing in the night.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Yeah, so I am was.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Just it was it was super It was really annoying
- 22:17Speaker 2: me because the only times I would ever like be
- 22:20Speaker 2: anxious would be when I get up to piss, and
- 22:22Speaker 2: then for some reason, it like like when it's late
- 22:24Speaker 2: at night and you're thinking, oh, I need to fall
- 22:26Speaker 2: back asleep, and then you can't. That's when I would
- 22:28Speaker 2: get anxious, and then I would struggle to fall back asleep.
- 22:31Speaker 2: And so just for a couple of nights in a row,
- 22:33Speaker 2: I just was like, if I wake up and need
- 22:34Speaker 2: to piss, I'm just gonna try and fall back asleep.
- 22:36Speaker 2: And so it's actually worked more often than not. Now
- 22:39Speaker 2: I don't piss in the night, but sometimes at like five,
- 22:46Speaker 2: you wake up and it's it's like dripping out of
- 22:50Speaker 2: that's that's that's even worse. Yeah, It's like I would
- 22:54Speaker 2: prefer to wake up at like one o'clock. Yeah, then
- 22:56Speaker 2: I was thinking that I was like, I prefer to
- 22:57Speaker 2: wake up at midnight and piss and go to bed
- 22:59Speaker 2: for five fucking hours or six hours or whatever. They
- 23:01Speaker 2: wake up at six, six thirty fucking five.
- 23:04Speaker 3: And so it happened to me this morning.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But I still get like a good seven and a
- 23:09Speaker 1: half eight hours of sleep. So while you got the
- 23:12Speaker 1: studio early man extra, a couple of hours kept me.
- 23:16Speaker 1: So maybe the mouth tapes working everyone's.
- 23:22Speaker 2: You know, I'm start just sending out in voices. I
- 23:25Speaker 2: might start replying to emails, I might start doing just
- 23:29Speaker 2: start wearing. I hate it when people set you up.
- 23:36Speaker 1: All right, men will literally far on each other instead
- 23:39Speaker 1: of eating ass.
- 23:42Speaker 2: What do you like that I don't see is that
- 23:49Speaker 2: as like a bad thing. You're one of the non
- 23:51Speaker 2: ars eaters on you know. I I would dabble if
- 23:55Speaker 2: it was an option, But like when you're at checkout,
- 23:59Speaker 2: I feel God.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I feel like.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I don't see anything wrong with preferring to far on
- 24:07Speaker 2: someone then eat asks. I feel like there's some women
- 24:13Speaker 2: out there who.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I agree, it's probably not.
- 24:16Speaker 1: And then men are out here fucking tooting on each
- 24:18Speaker 1: other rather look at that ship up.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I would understand if you said, like, men were literally
- 24:24Speaker 2: far on each other instead of eating pussy, because then
- 24:28Speaker 2: I would be like, yeah, you know, go down there
- 24:29Speaker 2: and eat some puss or men aren't eating pussy. I
- 24:32Speaker 2: think that's a thing. I think some men don't like it.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I don't want to question your sexuality.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It's like, what do you like would the first sausage
- 24:42Speaker 2: in your mouth? Like? Not again, not to fucking like,
- 24:45Speaker 2: each to their own, but it's like, what do you
- 24:47Speaker 2: mean do you also close your eyes when you're having sex?
- 24:51Speaker 3: Like I don't want to be rude.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I don't know if I don't know if we can
- 24:54Speaker 2: say this, but it's a good question, Like there's some
- 24:57Speaker 2: questions you need to ask for process of elimination, like Jesus.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Bad he is welcome back.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I'm sure you've all been very excited for this segment
- 25:12Speaker 2: I have. This week. We will be reading you, guys,
- 25:16Speaker 2: our lyrics to our Krispy Kreme jingles. Oh yeah, I actually,
- 25:20Speaker 2: I would like to say, because there's no better occasion
- 25:22Speaker 2: like the current occasion of reading out your jingle lyrics. Yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna eat a donut while I'm doing it. Good
- 25:29Speaker 2: idea popcorn? It's delicious. That one looks crazy.
- 25:33Speaker 3: Okay, who wants to go first?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Second? Best?
- 25:37Speaker 3: So you go first, second, the best, first, the worst?
- 25:40Speaker 2: You reckon that's how it goes.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Okay, what do you want?
- 25:43Speaker 2: Lyrics? First on vibes, give me vibes and how you
- 25:47Speaker 2: got to the lyrics?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Okay, okay, okay, here we go.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I want to go.
- 25:51Speaker 3: So vibes.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I was feeling sort of new age, new era interesting.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I want to I want to lean into the sort
- 26:00Speaker 2: of like, you know, I'm hip, I'm young.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I want to give it some umph.
- 26:06Speaker 2: And I went for a bit of a rap style,
- 26:13Speaker 2: you know, I like that. Yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
- 26:15Speaker 2: actually I don't like I'm channeling the inner mc jake
- 26:20Speaker 2: mc daddy as some might say. And so yeah, basically
- 26:26Speaker 2: that's how I got there. I was thinking, I want
- 26:28Speaker 2: to I want to be cool cool, and then lyrics wise,
- 26:32Speaker 2: I was thinking of I was trying to keep it
- 26:34Speaker 2: nice and short but sweet, but wanted to hit everyone
- 26:37Speaker 2: in the fields type of thing, you know. I wanted
- 26:39Speaker 2: to kind of be like bopping their heads, and so
- 26:41Speaker 2: I kept it nice and short. But I've gone just
- 26:43Speaker 2: a couple of scenarios, and then I wanted to finish
- 26:45Speaker 2: off with like obviously kind of like a to Z
- 26:49Speaker 2: type scenario. You know, think of a scenario you can
- 26:52Speaker 2: have a Krispy Kreme just because. Okay, that's the thinking,
- 26:55Speaker 2: that's the thinking of it. Okay, so you want the lyrics, Yeah, okay.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Monday morning, Friday night, nailed the job or missed the flight,
- 27:08Speaker 2: don't even worry. Don't even pause krispy Kreme, just be
- 27:13Speaker 2: cause I'm not going to show any emotions. Come on,
- 27:18Speaker 2: you know that hit and just you wait until you
- 27:21Speaker 2: hear production had libs. Alright, just you I see the vision. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:28Speaker 2: I don't think it's there. Ah. Do I know my jingle? Yes?
- 27:35Speaker 1: I do, all right, So as I do, I will
- 27:38Speaker 1: pick up my donut. Similarly, I have thought of what
- 27:44Speaker 1: it actually.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Means to eat a donut.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Okay, krispy Kreme donut might obviously, and krispy Kreme donut,
- 27:55Speaker 1: And for.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Me, it's like nostalgia. Ah, okay, your childhood. You think,
- 28:03Speaker 2: what's a sweet treat that I've always loved? I'm thinking
- 28:07Speaker 2: a krispy Kreme?
- 28:09Speaker 1: And like you, I thought of random at zed moments
- 28:13Speaker 1: or simple times in life where you think, well, it
- 28:16Speaker 1: would be a good time to eat a krispy Kreme
- 28:18Speaker 1: don't So I've gone that route to pull on the
- 28:23Speaker 1: heart strings a little bit and.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Think when you were a child. Where's your jingle? For example?
- 28:28Speaker 2: Absolutely is your emotions?
- 28:29Speaker 3: You want yours to remind you of a smell?
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 28:31Speaker 3: Yeah, you're welcome.
- 28:32Speaker 1: By the way, I'm pulling on the heart strings as
- 28:35Speaker 1: songs should do. Jingles should do, pull on those emotions. Okay,
- 28:41Speaker 1: mine short and sweet too?
- 28:43Speaker 3: Okay?
- 28:44Speaker 2: Are you ready? So the lyrics are I can't sing
- 28:48Speaker 2: them because you'll get scared. How good I am? So
- 28:50Speaker 2: you're just going to say them? Yeah?
- 28:52Speaker 1: So it's driving just because, smiling, just because Krispy Kreme
- 28:58Speaker 1: the sweet treat on repeat?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Okay? All right? How good was that last light? I've
- 29:08Speaker 2: got notes, but I'm not going to tell you them
- 29:09Speaker 2: because I don't want you to improve, because there's no
- 29:12Speaker 2: room for improvement.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Well, we'll see you next week with a
- 29:19Speaker 1: fully produced couple of jingles to see what happens. I'm
- 29:23Speaker 1: so excited for this day, all.

- 29:52Speaker 2: be a patron member for that, of course, but plug Patreon.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Well yeah, okay, hey, boys, absolutely adore the pod. This
- 30:00Speaker 2: isn't a relationship to Lemma, but as a young badd
- 30:03Speaker 2: he's still in school. What is both of your guys'
- 30:05Speaker 2: advice for someone who is unsure of their pathway after
- 30:09Speaker 2: they after they graduate. I still have one year to go,
- 30:13Speaker 2: and the fact that I don't have any plans is
- 30:15Speaker 2: worrying me. Any advice will be taken on. Thank you
- 30:18Speaker 2: so much. You boys are so genuine and inspiring. I
- 30:22Speaker 2: listen to you every day, whether it's getting ready or
- 30:24Speaker 2: doing whatever else. What is the master in kung fu? Pandacord? Oh?
- 30:31Speaker 2: Which one? That's the turtles? Master Shefu? Yeah, most of
- 30:35Speaker 2: the turtle. You can be master shefu? On to be
- 30:37Speaker 2: the turtle. Okay, okay, so master Shefu and then okay,
- 30:41Speaker 2: master Shefu I'm sure is a little like raccoon. Yeah
- 30:44Speaker 2: that could be you. Yeah, he's cool. And then I'm
- 30:47Speaker 2: the turtle. What's his name?
- 30:48Speaker 3: It's not pay lung.
- 30:49Speaker 1: No, there's heaps of like memes on him online with
- 30:52Speaker 1: yeah great one liners.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah he's a weapone. Yeah he like fades
- 30:56Speaker 2: away into a peach tree or some shit. Everyone knows
- 30:58Speaker 2: who I'm talking about. Anyway, what's master a? Yeah that
- 31:04Speaker 2: is us?
- 31:06Speaker 1: Actually, wait Master, she is quite impatient, young padwa. All right,
- 31:14Speaker 1: here is my advice. She said she has no plans
- 31:18Speaker 1: and it's what she say was an exact.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Wordingh stressing around a bit.
- 31:24Speaker 2: She has no plans and it's stressing her around. Yeah,
- 31:27Speaker 2: it's worrying. No plans are the best plans.
- 31:33Speaker 3: What what does Master say?
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yesterday is the past, Tomorrow is the future, Today is
- 31:45Speaker 2: the present.
- 31:46Speaker 3: No, today is a gift.
- 31:48Speaker 2: That is why they call it a present. Actually no,
- 31:52Speaker 2: semi relatable, not to me, but to my so my
- 31:55Speaker 2: younger brother. He's about to finish year eleven. He's got
- 31:58Speaker 2: one term of year eleven left and then he goes
- 32:00Speaker 2: into year twelve. And my parents they've been asking him like,
- 32:04Speaker 2: what do you want to do? You know, because what's
- 32:08Speaker 2: he's saying.
- 32:09Speaker 3: He's like, I don't know, And I asked him.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I was like, I just went out for dinner for
- 32:13Speaker 2: my mom's birthday and I asked him. I was like, oh,
- 32:18Speaker 2: what do you what are you thinking about doing? And
- 32:20Speaker 2: he's just like, I don't know. That's fair. He also
- 32:22Speaker 2: doesn't want to know. He has zero interest in anything.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Well, I feel that there's a difference. I don't want
- 32:27Speaker 1: to say he's applying at least at least this baddie.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not applying himself at least this batty is
- 32:32Speaker 2: like I want to plan. Yeah, I want to plan
- 32:35Speaker 2: and I want to figure it out, but I don't know.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And if he wants a plan, he's not fucking showing it.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I'll tell you that much.
- 32:40Speaker 1: But this is relatable because I think a lot of
- 32:43Speaker 1: young baddies out there in the schooling systems. There's a
- 32:47Speaker 1: lot of advice from a lot of people, your parents, teachers,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I don't know, people influencers like ourselves who are telling
- 32:54Speaker 1: you one thing or you look at their journey and
- 32:56Speaker 1: think I want that, which I guess is good. But
- 33:00Speaker 1: no one can see the world through your eyes, and
- 33:04Speaker 1: when you are that age, you haven't seen enough.
- 33:06Speaker 2: To make an informed decision.
- 33:08Speaker 1: No, So I think I could make some jokes about
- 33:11Speaker 1: what you should do, but all jokes aside. I think
- 33:14Speaker 1: you should honestly, just chill and let life do its course,
- 33:18Speaker 1: and whenever you have a passion or interest in just
- 33:20Speaker 1: slightly pursue it and see what happens.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Here is okay, this is I don't know.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I said, we've told the story before. We actually told
- 33:29Speaker 2: it last week, I think, so we both. So I
- 33:34Speaker 2: went straight out of I finished you ten and I
- 33:36Speaker 2: went and did a carpentry apprenticeship, which I didn't enjoy
- 33:40Speaker 2: but I don't regret doing.
- 33:42Speaker 3: And I didn't like that.
- 33:42Speaker 2: So then I went and worked in a bar as
- 33:45Speaker 2: a bartender, and then I actually didn't mind that, and
- 33:49Speaker 2: then I was kind of like, I just don't think
- 33:51Speaker 2: this is what I want to do forever though, And
- 33:54Speaker 2: then Otdie was like, let's try doing a podcast. You know,
- 33:57Speaker 2: people do four years at UNI and then they quite
- 34:00Speaker 2: often will finish UNI and do something completely different. So
- 34:05Speaker 2: it's like, why not quote unquote waste not really waste.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Why not try and get four years of experience in
- 34:13Speaker 2: something that could pay off and after four years, if
- 34:16Speaker 2: it's not working, then that's when we'll hang up the mics.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Yeah, And luckily for us it worked. We graduated with
- 34:24Speaker 1: the Bachelor of Podcasting.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, we have a bachelor of podcast and we
- 34:26Speaker 2: have a degree in Yeah. Right, But I think I'm
- 34:31Speaker 2: trying to think, like what type of advice would I
- 34:33Speaker 2: have wanted to hear?
- 34:34Speaker 3: Well, I think as a young.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Person, the battie listening right now, or all the batties
- 34:38Speaker 1: listening right now in a similar position, we thinking great.
- 34:42Speaker 2: But like where do I start?
- 34:43Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, Yeah, And because a lot of people need structure,
- 34:46Speaker 1: I can relate to that. And I think, get a
- 34:48Speaker 1: part time job so you have enough money to live
- 34:51Speaker 1: and then stuff issuing a passion.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all you.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Have to do to agree with that.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Two things.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Just makes enough money you don't need to be doing nothing. Yeah,
- 34:57Speaker 1: you won't regret that, And then you don't know what
- 34:59Speaker 1: the little could turn into. You could start to like Jake,
- 35:02Speaker 1: you started the bottom pour and beers and then you go, oh,
- 35:04Speaker 1: management's all right, and I like event management.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I could study that. Or you go, I fucking hate that.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Let me try a different job. Yeah that's it. And see,
- 35:11Speaker 2: I think a lot of people are like I assume,
- 35:16Speaker 2: like bad the baddie that's sent this in, right, I
- 35:18Speaker 2: have a feeling in your head you're kind of so
- 35:23Speaker 2: I think you know logically that you have a lot
- 35:26Speaker 2: of time, but it doesn't feel like it, and you
- 35:29Speaker 2: feel like you need to have your the rest of
- 35:31Speaker 2: your life like planned out right now. But that's just
- 35:35Speaker 2: not the case. Like it's so easy to say, but
- 35:38Speaker 2: trying to get it to a point where you truly
- 35:41Speaker 2: believe that is what's very difficult. And put it this way.
- 35:47Speaker 3: I am like.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Oddie and I are at the exact same position in life. Right,
- 35:54Speaker 2: Oddie has done he started an architecture course at university,
- 36:00Speaker 2: didn't finish it. He tried twice, right, he then then
- 36:04Speaker 2: he didn't finish, try twice and finish it because he sucks.
- 36:08Speaker 2: And then he was he did some laboring, Yeah, and
- 36:12Speaker 2: then also was like laboring sucks, obviously offered, got offered
- 36:16Speaker 2: a carp andr apprenticeship. Said no, Then did you move
- 36:19Speaker 2: from that to doing the garden maintenance? Yes? Yeah, So
- 36:22Speaker 2: then he did garden maintenance. His dad is a hort
- 36:24Speaker 2: or culturist and has like a small garden maintenance landscaping company,
- 36:29Speaker 2: and so he was doing that. And then while he
- 36:32Speaker 2: was doing that, odd he got a certificate three and
- 36:36Speaker 2: four in physical personal training personal training, right, and was like,
- 36:41Speaker 2: oh I also don't really want to do that.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Oh no, Actually, like if the podcast didn't work, I'd
- 36:45Speaker 1: probably be doing it. Yeah, it's because I like, I
- 36:47Speaker 1: found a passion for the gym.
- 36:48Speaker 2: And then we started the podcast and that worked, and
- 36:53Speaker 2: then mine is right. I left school in year ten,
- 36:57Speaker 2: I got a carpentry apprenticeship, became a license carp and
- 37:01Speaker 2: I didn't like it. You know, I went through four
- 37:03Speaker 2: years of what some people would feel like it's a
- 37:06Speaker 2: ways to take years of school and then and then
- 37:11Speaker 2: you and then I went and I was a bartender
- 37:13Speaker 2: and like I said, I worked myself way up to
- 37:15Speaker 2: management and now I am a podcaster. Like Audie and
- 37:19Speaker 2: I went through pretty different paths to get where we're going.
- 37:22Speaker 2: And we both started things and didn't finish them exactly.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And so I'm trying to say, is is like you
- 37:28Speaker 2: could right now think that I want to fucking try
- 37:31Speaker 2: architecture or I want to try school teaching, Like, go
- 37:34Speaker 2: and try it, and if you don't like it, don't
- 37:37Speaker 2: fucking do it. And don't let someone be like, oh
- 37:41Speaker 2: you started it, you need to finish it, Like, don't
- 37:43Speaker 2: be acquit at Like that's so fucking dumb to me,
- 37:46Speaker 2: So dumb.
- 37:47Speaker 1: That really resonates with me, and I think it is
- 37:50Speaker 1: easier said than done. But a lot of the time
- 37:52Speaker 1: the reason you stick something out is because you care
- 37:54Speaker 1: what other people think, or your parents especially are saying like, oh,
- 37:58Speaker 1: that's not a good idea because that's all they've ever known. Yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 1: but they don't know what life's like in twenty twenty six. No,
- 38:04Speaker 1: they did it fucking twenty five, thirty years ago. True,
- 38:07Speaker 1: we're in a different world right now, and like, you
- 38:09Speaker 1: know what's best for you, don't go and do nothing.
- 38:11Speaker 1: But if you like you sound like abat it, who's
- 38:13Speaker 1: applying yourself in life?
- 38:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you can do anything. I think as well. Yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 2: you seem like you want a plan. Yeah, and there's
- 38:20Speaker 2: nothing wrong with having a plan. And you might have
- 38:23Speaker 2: friends that are like, oh, I'm doing this, I'm in
- 38:24Speaker 2: this degree, I've got accept into this, blah blah blah.
- 38:27Speaker 2: They know exactly what they're going to do with the
- 38:28Speaker 2: rest of their life. But like they're your age.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I just wish that it is hard too, because some friends,
- 38:34Speaker 1: or they won't admit it, will say they know exactly
- 38:37Speaker 1: what they want to do and do it, and they
- 38:39Speaker 1: stick to their one path and you're like, why can't
- 38:41Speaker 1: that be me? And firstly I looked at it, and
- 38:44Speaker 1: I'm like, I wish I was like that. But also
- 38:46Speaker 1: they could be like that, but they also.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Could be lying to you.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're just sticking it out because it's they
- 38:50Speaker 1: don't let you know that mental debate we just went through.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I just I don't know what advice that your
- 38:54Speaker 2: age would have helped me. I think hearing all of
- 38:57Speaker 2: this could have helped me a bit, but it wouldn't
- 38:59Speaker 2: have helped me make a decisonion They Okay, I want
- 39:03Speaker 2: to say any decision you make is the right decision
- 39:05Speaker 2: because it's your life, all right. Like, there's going to
- 39:10Speaker 2: be people at your age, so in like five years time,
- 39:13Speaker 2: there's going to be people that are way behind you
- 39:15Speaker 2: and people that are way ahead of you. It's just
- 39:16Speaker 2: the way it is. And it's not a fucking race.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Like there's people our age that are way ahead of us,
- 39:21Speaker 2: and there's people younger than us that are like way
- 39:23Speaker 2: ahead of us if you like, like money wise type
- 39:25Speaker 2: of thing, and then there's people our age that are
- 39:28Speaker 2: behind us. It's just it's just the way life works.
- 39:33Speaker 2: But in my like I don't know. If you want
- 39:36Speaker 2: an answer, I would say, go try and be a florist, right,
- 39:43Speaker 2: Go get a job at a florist, and see if
- 39:45Speaker 2: you like it, and if you don't, come back to
- 39:47Speaker 2: us you don't have to like it, and then I'll
- 39:49Speaker 2: give you an idea for another job and just try,
- 39:50Speaker 2: like fucking twenty of them from twenty to thirty.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I would say my piece of advice would be, your
- 39:57Speaker 1: life isn't about your career. It's about joy.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Oh, okay, here you go.
- 40:04Speaker 2: And I think a lot of people confuse that, yeah,
- 40:07Speaker 2: and really pursue the career thing. Don't make it. Don't
- 40:09Speaker 2: get me wrong.
- 40:10Speaker 1: It's really good to enjoy that and make good money,
- 40:11Speaker 1: Like obviously you get a better life out of that.
- 40:13Speaker 1: But that's not what life's about. Friendships, relationships, finding the
- 40:17Speaker 1: small little things that you love and being happy. And
- 40:21Speaker 1: that's where people go wrong.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Yes, we've been so focused on career. Yeah, it's about career.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Think about what Luke Bateman said, what are your values? Yeah,
- 40:31Speaker 2: if you're going to make, you don't want to live
- 40:33Speaker 2: your life based off goals because when you get to
- 40:36Speaker 2: that goal, you're going to have no more purpose. And
- 40:38Speaker 2: it's not, and you're going to be like, what part
- 40:40Speaker 2: of this is making me happy? I have no idea.
- 40:42Speaker 2: And then, but if you live your life based off values,
- 40:45Speaker 2: and if each decision you make is based off values,
- 40:47Speaker 2: it's like, what do you value? Do you value happiness?
- 40:49Speaker 2: Do you value money? You're allowed to value money, like,
- 40:51Speaker 2: that's fine. Do you value friendship? Do you value Take
- 40:54Speaker 2: your values and think like, I want my life to
- 40:56Speaker 2: look like this, So what's the next decision to get
- 40:59Speaker 2: me in that direction exactly?
- 41:01Speaker 1: You know what excites me is when I have kids
- 41:04Speaker 1: and my kids get to this age and they ask
- 41:07Speaker 1: me this exact question.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Yeah, hard to answer.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I'm going to be like, you have come to the
- 41:12Speaker 2: right place. You're going to say this, young Pawa, write
- 41:15Speaker 2: down this phone number and call Jake.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Are you going to.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Say you'll fucking pick up and be like fucking go
- 41:23Speaker 1: be a florist.
- 41:24Speaker 2: You're named after a flower bitch?
- 41:29Speaker 4: All right?
- 41:30Speaker 1: Title Jim dilemma This one actually it's two in real
- 41:35Speaker 1: life kind of dilemmas. This one's I reckon every person
- 41:39Speaker 1: has like experienced something similar, either from the male or
- 41:43Speaker 1: woman's side. Okay, I'm a Jim baddie. I go to
- 41:46Speaker 1: the gym most mornings and love the grind, mainly because
- 41:49Speaker 1: it's my me time, a bit of time to myself
- 41:52Speaker 1: before the day begins. Could be Cassie.
- 41:56Speaker 2: This might be Cassie.
- 41:58Speaker 1: A couple of months ago, Jim regular in Brackets, a
- 42:01Speaker 1: guy probably ten years older than me, started to strike
- 42:04Speaker 1: up a conversation with me. I would be friendly, but
- 42:06Speaker 1: keep it vague and short with my answers because I
- 42:09Speaker 1: don't know this guy and I'm not here to chat.
- 42:11Speaker 1: He persisted with this and started conversations every time I'm there.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Then one time he sees me doing some pull ups.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I used to be on my pull up grind and
- 42:19Speaker 1: could do sets of eight to ten. He came over
- 42:21Speaker 1: and told me it was impressive. I could do so many,
- 42:24Speaker 1: and he was still working on getting his first one.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I said, good for you, keep going, it will come.
- 42:31Speaker 1: He then proceeds to tell me how to do pull
- 42:34Speaker 1: ups and gives me tips and technique cues. I know
- 42:38Speaker 1: he's just trying to help, but seriously, it gave me
- 42:41Speaker 1: the ike immediately. A few weeks later, he asked if
- 42:44Speaker 1: I wanted to grab coffee sometime. I said, no, thank you,
- 42:49Speaker 1: I'd like to keep my gym life and personal life separate.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Fuck it over, baddie.
- 42:53Speaker 1: He immediately backtracks and says he wasn't asking me out.
- 42:57Speaker 1: He was just being friendly and wanted to welcome me
- 43:00Speaker 1: to the area in brackets, I've lived here for over
- 43:02Speaker 1: a year. After this, he tries not to let things
- 43:09Speaker 1: get awkward by continuing to initiate conversations. But I try,
- 43:13Speaker 1: and seeing you, I try and single, I'm not here
- 43:15Speaker 1: to talk and keep my headphones on.
- 43:18Speaker 2: I will be.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Polite and smile and wave, but won't take my headphones
- 43:21Speaker 1: off for a conversation. One time I noticed him nearby
- 43:24Speaker 1: but didn't notice he is trying to get my attention,
- 43:27Speaker 1: so he comes right up and flicks me with his
- 43:29Speaker 1: Jim Tower. I wish I had said something in that moment,
- 43:32Speaker 1: but just ended up letting him chat to me. I
- 43:34Speaker 1: was so annoyed and ended the conversation by saying I
- 43:39Speaker 1: was in a rush today and needed to get my
- 43:41Speaker 1: work out in. Now I think he has the message.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Now I think he has the message as he didn't
- 43:46Speaker 1: try to start a conversation. So now I think he
- 43:49Speaker 1: has a message as he doesn't try to start conversations anymore.
- 43:52Speaker 1: But he consistently floats nearby and is often standing facing
- 43:55Speaker 1: my direction. When I look over, he is looking at
- 43:58Speaker 1: the TV screen or the room, and he always seems
- 44:01Speaker 1: to just be pacing between sets between the both of us,
- 44:05Speaker 1: which makes it awkward because he also always acknowledges me.
- 44:09Speaker 1: If he comes up, I'll try a smile, but it's
- 44:11Speaker 1: always just awkward, and I try not to make eye contact,
- 44:14Speaker 1: even though I feel like he's always watching and definitely
- 44:17Speaker 1: looks like looks at me while I'm midseet.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Oh.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Look, I'm probably making this a bigger deal than it
- 44:23Speaker 1: needs to be. And I know he's just entitled to
- 44:26Speaker 1: the space as anyone else, but it does make me
- 44:28Speaker 1: feel super uncomfortable every time I go to workout and
- 44:31Speaker 1: I dread him being there. I can't just get in
- 44:33Speaker 1: the zone and do my workout. Am I the asshole here?
- 44:37Speaker 1: And should I say something or just continue to ignore him?
- 44:40Speaker 1: Aside from the odd smile, I feel rude? But I
- 44:42Speaker 1: am so icked out by this guy and he is
- 44:45Speaker 1: actually kind of ruining my safe space.
- 44:47Speaker 2: M this is sus Why is he loitering? That is
- 44:53Speaker 2: the way to put a day? Just fucking get like,
- 44:56Speaker 2: what's the what are you doing.
- 44:57Speaker 1: But I think, like I can that many bad he's
- 45:00Speaker 1: listening right now, I would have or are experiencing something similar.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fucked. So what's with the laiter? I get
- 45:08Speaker 2: that you don't.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Want anyone to intrude on your safe place, and I
- 45:12Speaker 1: can resonate with like the gym is like my zone. Yeah,
- 45:14Speaker 1: I go in there for a purpose, even if it
- 45:16Speaker 1: is I don't work out that hard, it's my fucking time. Yeah,
- 45:19Speaker 1: I have a conversation that five minutes max. Some people
- 45:22Speaker 1: don't understand that though, I think.
- 45:24Speaker 2: But he's just like here's the thing as well, right,
- 45:28Speaker 2: is like this guy needs to understand that what he's
- 45:36Speaker 2: doing is like actually making her feel like unsafe, but
- 45:42Speaker 2: he doesn't know that. That's the thing though, is like
- 45:45Speaker 2: how fucking dumb are you? This guy's dumb as dog shit.
- 45:48Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Yeah, like you're genuine like do you not
- 45:52Speaker 2: understand what goes on in the world? Like this is
- 45:55Speaker 2: the type of guy that if you said, like women
- 45:57Speaker 2: are scared of men, he'd be the one that.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Goes like I don't hurt women.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Yeah, like like not talking like you know what, Like
- 46:05Speaker 2: fuck seriously.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm trying to like connect the dots of how can
- 46:08Speaker 1: you show this man how the world is.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Because like you're in an uncomfortable position now where it's
- 46:14Speaker 2: like you don't want to go to the gym because
- 46:17Speaker 2: he's obviously always there. He obviously tries. He just knows
- 46:21Speaker 2: what time you go and just like goes at that
- 46:23Speaker 2: time as well, or he just always went at that
- 46:25Speaker 2: time and try to struck up a convo and he
- 46:26Speaker 2: just just like sticking to his routine whatever, but like
- 46:29Speaker 2: he would know that he's like trying to stick around
- 46:31Speaker 2: and just fucking bump into you to strike up a
- 46:33Speaker 2: convo like he's doing it on but it's sus as fuck.
- 46:37Speaker 2: So he's the thing is like you probably are thinking
- 46:39Speaker 2: to yourself, oh, like he's harmless maybe blah blah blah,
- 46:43Speaker 2: Like I don't want to go to the gym management
- 46:45Speaker 2: or whatever, and just be like this situation is making
- 46:47Speaker 2: me uncomfortable. But fuck, I get this guy fucking bamed
- 46:50Speaker 2: from the gym. I think it's sas.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Dude, Yeah, yeah, I think so too, But how can
- 46:54Speaker 1: we like educate man because similarly, so I go to
- 46:58Speaker 1: the gym every day. Yeah I have a girlfriend, but
- 47:00Speaker 1: still even if I didn't have a girlfriend, I'd do
- 47:02Speaker 1: the exact same thing. I see the same girl there
- 47:04Speaker 1: every single time, and when we're there, we'll just give
- 47:06Speaker 1: like a pick. Yeah that's it, and then I move
- 47:08Speaker 1: on with my day, Like that's all it is. Because
- 47:10Speaker 1: with every single day, fucking it's three hundred and sixty
- 47:12Speaker 1: five days a year. How can you like, I know
- 47:16Speaker 1: that's what she wants and that's what I want. Yeah,
- 47:17Speaker 1: how can you convey that to like another man? Because
- 47:20Speaker 1: normally women get it quicker than dudes. Is it just
- 47:23Speaker 1: that he's attracted to her and then all of that
- 47:25Speaker 1: goes out the window. Is that I'm trying to get
- 47:26Speaker 1: the cognitive reason why he's mad He thinks this is
- 47:28Speaker 1: okay and makes her feel uncomfortable.
- 47:30Speaker 2: I reckon, all right? I assume he somehow has found
- 47:35Speaker 2: your social media. Hmm, here's what you gotta do, right, Yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 2: this dilemma that you've sent to us, film a video
- 47:45Speaker 2: and put it out on your social media, and he's
- 47:47Speaker 2: gonna and.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Ask for advice.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Just be like, what should I do in this situation?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Because like I ah na and then go and then
- 47:54Speaker 2: and then he's going to be like, oh fuck, like
- 47:59Speaker 2: that's me because you you shouldn't have to say something
- 48:02Speaker 2: to him.
- 48:03Speaker 3: No, that's the most insane thing.
- 48:05Speaker 1: But then like the option one is change your gym time,
- 48:09Speaker 1: but that's really annoying because that's your meantime before you
- 48:11Speaker 1: go to work.
- 48:11Speaker 2: And you're like going in the morning. It's an option too,
- 48:13Speaker 2: is change gyms, which sucks. But also this is because
- 48:16Speaker 2: of a man.
- 48:16Speaker 1: You kind of want to like stand on business and
- 48:18Speaker 1: be like, I'm not fucking changing because it's stupid.
- 48:19Speaker 2: I reckon tell the management to see what they say. Yeah,
- 48:22Speaker 2: it's fucked.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Because normally you probably if you go to the gym
- 48:25Speaker 1: every day, I assume you're friendly with a gym staff.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I have an idea you have to start bringing a
- 48:32Speaker 2: friend of yours that I assume you don't have a boyfriend.
- 48:36Speaker 2: Start bringing a guy friend into the gym with you
- 48:38Speaker 2: a couple of times to work out. Sure, it's unfortunate,
- 48:42Speaker 2: it's very unfortunate. This shouldn't be the way it is.
- 48:44Speaker 1: But I don't reckon that will help because when the
- 48:46Speaker 1: gym friend's not there, he's still going to stand between
- 48:48Speaker 1: mid sets, because that's.
- 48:52Speaker 2: When you've got to start, like, if you're genuinely uncomfortable
- 48:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I think you have to start going to
- 48:56Speaker 2: gym fucking management.
- 48:58Speaker 1: I can go to the gym manage and be like, hey,
- 49:00Speaker 1: this guy's this making me feel uncomfortable. Can you give
- 49:02Speaker 1: him an anonymous like, don't say it's come from me,
- 49:04Speaker 1: be like, hey, mate.
- 49:05Speaker 2: You feel like a few bad A few of the
- 49:06Speaker 2: women in here have been saying a few bad A
- 49:10Speaker 2: few women in here.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I said, you're a bit of a loiterer. Can you
- 49:12Speaker 3: fucking stop?
- 49:13Speaker 1: Because also, if I was a gym owner, like he's
- 49:15Speaker 1: a normal person and like I knew there was a
- 49:18Speaker 1: loiter or a fucking little.
- 49:19Speaker 3: Pedo, I fucking banner.
- 49:20Speaker 2: Yeah you can't.
- 49:21Speaker 1: There's's like I'm dismissing someone at work on fair dismissal,
- 49:25Speaker 1: Like you've got to have proof, but you wouldn't want
- 49:27Speaker 1: them to know.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Take me a call, bro.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah, But like as a gym owner, you'll be like, well,
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm going to say something to this too, because that's
- 49:33Speaker 1: the first thing I can do.
- 49:34Speaker 3: True.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Hopefully hopefully they take they have the right steps. Yeah,
- 49:39Speaker 2: so they say something, don't say it's from me.
- 49:40Speaker 1: But then he should be like, oh fuck, he's complaining
- 49:42Speaker 1: because's probably doing it too.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Other women.
- 49:44Speaker 3: He probably is.
- 49:45Speaker 2: He probably is, which is the sad truth of it. Otherwise,
- 49:48Speaker 2: he probably thinks that you fucking like him. He probably
- 49:51Speaker 2: thinks like yeah, I always like he's probably thinking like
- 49:54Speaker 2: I always chat this chick up. I reckon, I reckon.
- 49:56Speaker 2: So because the only things you can.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Start doing that don't really like affect you stop smiling
- 50:03Speaker 1: at him. Yeah, and then also like if he does
- 50:06Speaker 1: like come up to him and be like hey, I
- 50:08Speaker 1: don't even say hey, it's like sorry, set Yeah.
- 50:10Speaker 3: You can only control what you can control, and that
- 50:12Speaker 3: is I guess the way you the.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Reason she's smiling is because she's a nice person. She's
- 50:18Speaker 2: a nice person, and she probably also is just like
- 50:19Speaker 2: I just want to smile, and hopefully this guy fox
- 50:21Speaker 2: off like yeah, I.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Don't want to smile. I don't want to frown on him.
- 50:23Speaker 2: And then he can come up and be like, oh
- 50:24Speaker 2: you having a bad day, but you find any excuse
- 50:27Speaker 2: to come up and be.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Like yeah, it's fucking it's a difficult one because like
- 50:30Speaker 1: you don't want you know how, there's that saying where
- 50:33Speaker 1: like men always go like.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Oh you should smile more.
- 50:35Speaker 1: This is the reason I don't fucking smile more you
- 50:37Speaker 1: think men are interested in him.
- 50:39Speaker 2: That's so fucking dumb.
- 50:40Speaker 3: He's also probably the type where.
- 50:43Speaker 1: It's also not like it's always a little Creeperho's fucking
- 50:45Speaker 1: like older than me. There's definitely men our ways doing
- 50:49Speaker 1: disgusting things, but most of the time at gym's especially,
- 50:52Speaker 1: it's like older men.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Who are creepy. Honestly, I don't know why.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Otherwise you could, like my girlfriend would do it. Let's
- 50:59Speaker 1: say you have to, but if if someone was doing
- 51:01Speaker 1: something to her, she'd be like, dude, you'd be in
- 51:03Speaker 1: a fucking creep.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Cassie would too, Like you're.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Doing a creep.
- 51:06Speaker 1: You make me feel uncomfortable. This is my safe place.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I really like this gym. I don't want to change gyms.
- 51:10Speaker 1: He stop staring at me.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I think if you're confident enough to do that,
- 51:14Speaker 2: do it.
- 51:15Speaker 3: And then it's a confronting thing, but do it.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and like obviously super scary, make sure there's other
- 51:20Speaker 1: people like around and ship, but also like you would
- 51:23Speaker 1: feel fucking amazing after.
- 51:25Speaker 3: He probably would fuck off.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he probably would fuck off. And I don't think
- 51:28Speaker 1: that's what you should have to do, but it will
- 51:30Speaker 1: solve the issue.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I'll tell you what I got you. This guy fucking
- 51:33Speaker 3: has the biggest crush on you.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Let's you should say you should suggest listening to this podcast.
- 51:38Speaker 2: If he comes to you like what have you been
- 51:40Speaker 2: up to? You like, well, this really good episode just
- 51:42Speaker 2: came out, you should, And then we're just berating him
- 51:45Speaker 2: like what a fucking crew, what a creep?
- 51:49Speaker 3: He won't go back to that gym?
- 51:50Speaker 2: No?
- 51:51Speaker 5: Probably not.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an easy solution or he's been Also, you
- 51:55Speaker 1: never know with dudes like this, Like he could come
- 51:56Speaker 1: back and be like were you talking about me?
- 51:58Speaker 3: It was fucking don't know, you.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Know, the actions are so okay. The fact, you know,
- 52:05Speaker 2: fern Wood the gym's the women only gyms, the fact
- 52:10Speaker 2: that that's a thing crazy. I mean, like, if that
- 52:14Speaker 2: isn't evidence that the world we live in is so
- 52:17Speaker 2: fucking gnarly and fucked up.
- 52:19Speaker 3: For women, then I don't know what is.
- 52:21Speaker 2: I know? I know, I know, like apart apart from
- 52:24Speaker 2: the fucking literal news headlines of women getting murdered in
- 52:27Speaker 2: the Gold Coast streets by like their boyfriend, but like
- 52:30Speaker 2: that that's obviously evidence and just like the day to
- 52:32Speaker 2: day evidence of just like women and children getting murdered
- 52:35Speaker 2: by men all time. But if the fact that fern
- 52:38Speaker 2: Wood exists and is a successful fucking company is so
- 52:44Speaker 2: fucked up to me, Yeah, oh yeah, because women got
- 52:48Speaker 2: sick of going to a gym where men were fucking
- 52:51Speaker 2: just like staring at him and ship and part of
- 52:53Speaker 2: it's also like maybe intimidation, I don't know, but like
- 52:55Speaker 2: still and it's good that it's once.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Again, like you don't want that to be the solution,
- 53:01Speaker 1: but it's now a good solution where women can work
- 53:03Speaker 1: out and feel safe and feel like themselves and feel
- 53:06Speaker 1: confident and not feel threatened.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and judged and fucking unsafe.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like we listed a lot of solutions, but
- 53:12Speaker 1: not all of them are good ones.
- 53:15Speaker 2: You don't get the resolution. It could be the move
- 53:18Speaker 2: that's told me that she signed up a fane would
- 53:20Speaker 2: for a bit because she didn't want to go to
- 53:21Speaker 2: a gym just with a bunch of other people, like
- 53:23Speaker 2: she just wanted to go to one that was quiet,
- 53:26Speaker 2: And she said that I think that was good about
- 53:29Speaker 2: it was like there was all this like pretty decent equipment,
- 53:33Speaker 2: no one was ever using it. A lot of just
- 53:35Speaker 2: like pilates classes and different group classes. A lot of
- 53:38Speaker 2: equipment was just like brand new and unused. It was
- 53:41Speaker 2: like a fuck bonus.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Whether it's another good thing about women in your gym too,
- 53:44Speaker 1: like that gym would be one spotless clean, but also
- 53:47Speaker 1: they look after.
- 53:48Speaker 2: The equipment and put it away.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Every piece of weight would be like where it's meant
- 53:51Speaker 1: to be, where you fucking go to a world We
- 53:53Speaker 1: went to the World's Gym on the Gold Coast. I
- 53:56Speaker 1: felt like I was walking out of there with phriv.
- 53:58Speaker 2: I genuinely feel like you that if you are going
- 54:01Speaker 2: to World's Gym in Burley, you need chain with hazmat
- 54:04Speaker 2: soon on. If you don't want to come out of there.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Feels like you're in a GTA and have like COVID
- 54:08Speaker 2: twenty one. It's like I don't.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Even know, Like there was like trade's army, people fucking
- 54:12Speaker 1: sex workers.
- 54:13Speaker 2: It's felt like I was in a fucking fortnight lobby
- 54:15Speaker 2: and everyone had a different skin.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Yeah it was fucking s yeah yeah days, but also too,
- 54:22Speaker 5: like you don't want it to be this because if
- 54:24Speaker 5: you love your gym like one hundred percent, don't move.
- 54:26Speaker 2: But I always I love changing gyms. There's something about it.
- 54:29Speaker 2: And then yeah, it's something I go on a little
- 54:31Speaker 2: fucking honeymoon phase of the gym.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I understand, Like if you want to look
- 54:35Speaker 1: at it that way, the world is just how you
- 54:37Speaker 1: perceive it. I went through a phase of like I
- 54:39Speaker 1: I went to like four different gyms three months each
- 54:41Speaker 1: one while until they're like little trial membership right up.
- 54:44Speaker 1: And I loved it because it's like a new routine,
- 54:46Speaker 1: a new place to drive to, new different times, different
- 54:48Speaker 1: amount of music to listen to before the gym, h
- 54:50Speaker 1: like different and you're like.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Oh, this is a bit of a change in routine. Yeah,
- 54:53Speaker 2: getting stuck in the stagnant and like you don't want
- 54:55Speaker 2: it to because of this, dude. But then it's kind
- 54:57Speaker 2: of like no, I'm doing this for me or like that. Yeah,
- 55:07Speaker 2: it is time for comments.
- 55:08Speaker 1: If you want to get a comment read, you know
- 55:09Speaker 1: what to do bad it simply comment on the episode
- 55:11Speaker 1: you are listening to. I've got Spotify with Jen, she said.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Speaking of your business segment, would you ever consider doing
- 55:18Speaker 1: book accessories for the Batties book club, kindle sleeves, bookmarks,
- 55:22Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 55:23Speaker 2: That's good on your bookmark to be a good start.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yeah, we could go simpler start. We really want to
- 55:27Speaker 1: do pajamas. I kind of just like such an effort.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It's just a lot like this. I don't want to
- 55:34Speaker 1: give you excuses, but like sampling it and finding a
- 55:36Speaker 1: supplier blah blah blah blah blah blah.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Packing the merch on your own as well.
- 55:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's quite it's quite a lot.
- 55:41Speaker 1: But in the future, I think book Club Pajamas will
- 55:43Speaker 1: come out when I've got like that.
- 55:44Speaker 2: That dog give me again?
- 55:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, and.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Maybe I'll do some week stick is like when everything
- 55:49Speaker 1: all comes around fucking ie.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Okay, I got YouTube from at thea Selekos twelve. Admitly
- 55:58Speaker 2: she commented quite a few comments on this episode, but
- 55:59Speaker 2: this one's the funniest. Admit it. Y'all got a semi
- 56:02Speaker 2: when talking about Nesta and Cassians and naughty times, I did.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's probably one of the sensiest ever seines I've
- 56:11Speaker 1: read in a book.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Oh you know, okay, I saw you know how are you?
- 56:17Speaker 2: And I we I don't know if it was something
- 56:20Speaker 2: we said or something I read somewhere. Basically, like the
- 56:23Speaker 2: sex scenes in In a Quarter of Silver Flames, they
- 56:29Speaker 2: were like they were needed for Nesta's character development, because
- 56:33Speaker 2: she used to use sex as a thing to just
- 56:35Speaker 2: like not feel anything at all, and then it turned
- 56:37Speaker 2: into her and you you know, sex with cassium was
- 56:39Speaker 2: just like the most amazing thing and she's in love
- 56:41Speaker 2: and you know, mate it and all that, and I
- 56:44Speaker 2: I was really thinking about it, and I was like, yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 2: like look I agree. But at the same time, like
- 56:51Speaker 2: it was part of her development, being told to hold
- 56:53Speaker 2: onto the headboard, like was part of her development, being
- 56:55Speaker 2: like fucking him growling in her ear like be good
- 56:58Speaker 2: because you're pretty little cunt as all I think about it,
- 57:00Speaker 2: Like I was like, is that part of allow? It's
- 57:03Speaker 2: like if I'm going to be if I'm gonna be here,
- 57:04Speaker 2: amost will be good at it. True, that's a good Also,
- 57:06Speaker 2: like him worshiping her maybe yeah, probably a little bit
- 57:09Speaker 2: interesting though interesting.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Alright, it's time for one of you baddies to sign
- 57:13Speaker 1: off the episode. The link will be in the description
- 57:16Speaker 1: and emphasis on making Jake happy. You can say riddle
- 57:20Speaker 1: and we will one if.
- 57:22Speaker 2: You have a riddle next if you put I have
- 57:23Speaker 2: a riddle next to your name, I'll be fucking calling
- 57:26Speaker 2: it all right, Jake, who we got to call Ruby.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Hello, Hello, is this Ruby?
- 57:33Speaker 2: What was that?
- 57:34Speaker 4: Sorry?
- 57:34Speaker 3: Is this Ruby?
- 57:36Speaker 2: Yes?
- 57:36Speaker 3: This is Jake and I from the Relatables podcast.
- 57:38Speaker 2: How are you?
- 57:39Speaker 4: I'm great?
- 57:40Speaker 2: How are you?
- 57:41Speaker 4: Guys?
- 57:41Speaker 2: Very very good, very happy you picked up.
- 57:45Speaker 3: We were playing a bit of roulette here.
- 57:46Speaker 2: We didn't know if we'd called you or not, because
- 57:48Speaker 2: sometimes we call baddies and they don't pick up in
- 57:50Speaker 2: the past.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Yes, Oh fun fact, I'm listening to the episode right
- 57:55Speaker 4: now that you guys called me on from last week.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Last Our head is in the blending.
- 58:03Speaker 4: We called too many people, have you?
- 58:06Speaker 3: You're the first one before today? I think we've called.
- 58:08Speaker 2: We've done too many episodes in the last week because
- 58:10Speaker 2: we're going away.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Oh my god, that's my luck. Have you got it anything.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Else for us?
- 58:20Speaker 2: Any life models you live? You know what? You know what?
- 58:24Speaker 4: I'm stumped. I'm stumped because I've waited my whole since
- 58:28Speaker 4: twenty twenty three. I listened to your guys' podcast when
- 58:30Speaker 4: you were doing cheating or not cheating segments. Oh and
- 58:35Speaker 4: ever since then, and then you started doing calls.
- 58:38Speaker 2: I've been stump.
- 58:39Speaker 4: I haven't had anything ready for you guys now, because
- 58:40Speaker 4: I had my opportunity last week.
- 58:42Speaker 2: Oh no, that's okay.
- 58:44Speaker 4: We really can't be greedy. I can't be greedy.
- 58:48Speaker 2: No, No, that's true. We really appreciate the support. That's
- 58:51Speaker 2: like two years, list't it. Yeah, that's we've got a
- 58:53Speaker 2: real bad three years. You've got a real body.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Yes, either way, Oh, thank you for picking up.
- 59:00Speaker 2: And I think we're just going to use this to
- 59:02Speaker 2: sign up the episode on let's go. Thank you very much,
- 59:12Speaker 2: Thank you so much. Bye. Either we need more baddies
- 59:17Speaker 2: to submit or I'm wigging our day. We need a
- 59:19Speaker 2: better system, right, but we need a way better system.
- 59:21Speaker 2: Right before, I was like, we've got Ruby and he
- 59:24Speaker 2: goes to a ring a bell. We caught her last week.
- 59:30Speaker 2: So that was definitely the week where we called like
- 59:32Speaker 2: four people.
- 59:33Speaker 3: And no one was there, and then you were getting calls.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Back and yeah, and you say who are going to call?
- 59:38Speaker 1: Then you say, like something, don't listen, listen until the
- 59:41Speaker 1: one that picks up.
- 59:42Speaker 3: That's a good point.
- 59:43Speaker 2: Yeah, picked up.
- 59:43Speaker 3: That's a good point. We appreciate you.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Bo I tell you what can solve this issue? More
- 59:48Speaker 2: baddie signing up? Yeah, please link in the description signed
- 59:51Speaker 2: up to sign off the episode of We're going to
- 59:53Speaker 2: stop calling people.
- 59:54Speaker 3: We're going to start doing it ourselves. What the fuck,
- 59:56Speaker 3: I don't remember how we love to stay back, like
