- 0:00Speaker 1: Joelle. I've been watching you on Twitter all day, and
- 0:03Speaker 1: I am so happy that this Beyonce thing has come out,
- 0:06Speaker 1: because you seem like you're on ecstasy over there, just
- 0:10Speaker 1: telling Daniel.
- 0:10Speaker 2: I've already seen it twice. I have plans to watch
- 0:12Speaker 2: it a third time. And I get off work at
- 0:14Speaker 2: seven today. I'm probably gonna be online with some friends
- 0:17Speaker 2: doing a live watch it is.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Is it? Dope? We haven't watched it yet. We're waiting, dope.
- 0:22Speaker 1: She's holding and she's holding her eyes.
- 0:26Speaker 2: When you get to brown skinned girls and you're holding
- 0:28Speaker 2: your daughter and you're crying because you're like, look at
- 0:31Speaker 2: this gorgeous representation for my child.
- 0:33Speaker 3: It's so good. She should I should I watch it
- 0:36Speaker 3: with the kids or without the kids, because I know
- 0:38Speaker 3: she can be risky.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I don't have children, so I always tell parents to
- 0:42Speaker 2: watch by themselves first. I have no idea what appropriate
- 0:44Speaker 2: is for a job.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Remind right, like the last record that she did wear,
- 0:48Speaker 3: she was in the thong the whole time and shaking
- 0:51Speaker 3: her booty the whole time. Like, I could watch it,
- 0:53Speaker 3: but I don't know if I want my kids watching that.
- 0:57Speaker 3: My baby's watching that.
- 0:58Speaker 2: This is a lot less, Uh, sexualized because it's let
- 1:02Speaker 2: me put it this way, it's on Disney Plus. Okay, so
- 1:05Speaker 2: it's it's you know, the Effords have been removed from
- 1:09Speaker 2: the content. Uh, there's not a lot of uh ass
- 1:13Speaker 2: and titties out. I think.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I don't know if I want to watch it anymore.
- 1:21Speaker 1: One viewer, I love the Joel review. There's not a
- 1:25Speaker 1: lot of ass and titties out Therefore give.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Us a lot of body suits and uh two bikinis,
- 1:32Speaker 2: which we appreciate her for, thank you.
- 1:36Speaker 1: It's just you gotta read. You gotta read Joel. You
- 1:39Speaker 1: gotta look at Joel's Twitter. It's like, basically become a tribute.
- 1:43Speaker 1: It's tribute to Beyonce.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Actually, you created an altar, you have a shrine.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't have a bedroom right now, but when I do,
- 1:52Speaker 2: there will absolutely be like a Beyonce photo.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Joel's Twitter smiling like I'm so you know, when your
- 1:58Speaker 1: friends are happy, you're happy. And I was like I
- 2:00Speaker 1: was holding my heart for Joelle this morning. It's like
- 2:02Speaker 1: this woman's this woman is one happy human being.
- 2:06Speaker 3: When did it drop last night at midnight or this morning?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Did you watch it at midnight?
- 2:10Speaker 2: No? I tried, but I was tired and I took
- 2:13Speaker 2: my edible at the time I normally take it, and
- 2:15Speaker 2: then I was like, well that is that was watching?
- 2:18Speaker 1: I have a question. It's a music video movie kind
- 2:22Speaker 1: of thing. Is that what it is?
- 2:23Speaker 2: It's called a visual album, so every So in twenty nineteen,
- 2:26Speaker 2: Beyonce released The Lion King basically album. Uh it was great.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So this is every single song off of that album
- 2:34Speaker 2: gets a music video. But it tells like an overarching story.
- 2:36Speaker 2: But there's not like a lot of dialogue sapping in between,
- 2:39Speaker 2: so it's not like it's more visual storytelling.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Wait, this is the music from The Lion King, the.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Music the album she did for The Lion King, so
- 2:47Speaker 2: it's not like a Kuna matata.
- 2:48Speaker 3: It's all.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So I would have tuned in if it was like,
- 2:51Speaker 1: oh but the money, dude, you made it sound Italian.
- 2:56Speaker 4: But but melis ridiculous.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It's cool because she got like a bunch of like
- 3:13Speaker 2: artists like from South Africa, Ghana I know is well represented,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think Nigeria, so it's not just artists, but producers
- 3:20Speaker 2: get features on their dancers.
- 3:23Speaker 3: So it's like it's Drake on it.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Drake is not on this album. Kendrick lamar Is on
- 3:28Speaker 2: the album Okay, There We Go cal Is on the album.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It's always interesting to see what rappers Beyonce is gonna
- 3:37Speaker 3: put on her record, because, believe it or not, lyrically
- 3:43Speaker 3: she's she could take them all down pretty much. When
- 3:46Speaker 3: when Beyonce sings and puts it into rap form or
- 3:52Speaker 3: chat form, it's a rap for a lot of these cats.
- 3:56Speaker 3: She's very slick with her with her lyrics.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The question.
- 4:00Speaker 3: A lot of it could be because she's married to
- 4:02Speaker 3: jay Z, but she writes her own stuff. Man, it's
- 4:05Speaker 3: not anybody else writing it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That was my question. I didn't want to be yelled
- 4:08Speaker 1: at by either one of you, but I want to
- 4:10Speaker 1: know if she writes her own lyrics.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Absolutely absolutely, Yes. Did you know this movie? Yeah, she's
- 4:16Speaker 3: one of those people. You know, we talked about it
- 4:19Speaker 3: back in the day. My wife used to work with
- 4:22Speaker 3: Destiny Child and all of that stuff and worked on
- 4:25Speaker 3: the first Crazy and Love record and everything.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yes.
- 4:28Speaker 3: She her her cousin is Teresa Lababaro White, right, and
- 4:34Speaker 3: she was the person who helped find and and nurture
- 4:40Speaker 3: Destiny Child and Beyonce. And you know, she's done a
- 4:45Speaker 3: lot of the musical production for her. I don't know
- 4:47Speaker 3: if she worked on this album. Okay, she might have
- 4:50Speaker 3: worked on this album. I'm not sure, but she but
- 4:52Speaker 3: my wife is her cousin. And so when my wife
- 4:59Speaker 3: first moved today, she worked for Teresa. And I remember
- 5:03Speaker 3: one time I went to meet Beyonce and I brought
- 5:05Speaker 3: my wife with me, like I'm going to introduce my
- 5:07Speaker 3: wife to Beyonce, and Beyonce ran by me and was like, yeah, so.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Wow, Joel's now one degree separation.
- 5:19Speaker 3: She's gonna so Uh. When she was working on the
- 5:23Speaker 3: Crazy and Love record, you know, she could take a
- 5:27Speaker 3: c D and throw that thing in the pro tools,
- 5:28Speaker 3: like take somebody's thing and throw it in the pro
- 5:30Speaker 3: tools and start working on it and create her own
- 5:33Speaker 3: music off of it. Like, Uh, there's the dude from uh,
- 5:36Speaker 3: what's the name Ryan from? What's the name of that band?
- 5:39Speaker 3: Tule to apologize? It's Toule Tatter something like that. What's
- 5:46Speaker 3: the name of the band? One Republic? Holding on your
- 5:54Speaker 3: Ryan Tedtnor Ryan Tetter with an R right, I said Ryan,
- 5:57Speaker 3: I say, Brian, I said Ryan, You said Ryan I
- 5:59Speaker 3: was anyway, he said when he wrote the song. I'm
- 6:04Speaker 3: not sure if it's Halo or one of these songs.
- 6:07Speaker 3: It was completely different once Beyonce got ahold of it,
- 6:10Speaker 3: like he wrote a song, and it was completely different
- 6:12Speaker 3: after she got it for the better, Like she's one
- 6:14Speaker 3: of those people that's like, oh, that's what you're doing.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I'm going to add to it. Let me create something
- 6:17Speaker 3: to it, and it turns out to be fire. So
- 6:21Speaker 3: you know, when it comes to writing her own lyrics. Yes,
- 6:24Speaker 3: Beyonce is up in there now. I got to ask
- 6:27Speaker 3: my wife if it's okay to tell this story.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Your wife doesn't listen to the program, so she'll be fine.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Right right on.
- 6:37Speaker 1: How is everybody? How are you doing? What are we
- 6:39Speaker 1: doing this weekend? What are you drinking? What's happening? What's
- 6:41Speaker 1: going on?
- 6:42Speaker 3: This is a phizzy drink. Yeah, it's a lagger, it's
- 6:48Speaker 3: a tasty.
- 6:49Speaker 1: A lot of people were weighing in on our last
- 6:51Speaker 1: episode saying that bourbon is a whiskey Donalds, because you
- 6:55Speaker 1: had mentioned I said, are you having whiskey? And you
- 6:56Speaker 1: said no, it's bourbon.
- 6:59Speaker 3: So you know, okay, So Bourbon's a whiskey.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Bourbon's are whiskey, but it's only made
- 7:03Speaker 1: in Kentucky. Is that right? Anybody forgot what the guy said.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I just like the people that I listen. Our fans
- 7:11Speaker 1: and listeners are so passionate about the show that they
- 7:15Speaker 1: they a lot of people weigh in and the ninety
- 7:17Speaker 1: nine point nine percent of it's positive.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I love that. I love that there's a few negative.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I had a woman today. I had to
- 7:25Speaker 1: laugh because she was like, you guys are getting way
- 7:29Speaker 1: too much off topic from the show. And then it
- 7:32Speaker 1: was like dot dot tight, dot dot dot might have
- 7:34Speaker 1: to stop listening. And I was like, oh shit, Susan
- 7:38Speaker 1: from Duluth, what the fuck are we gonna do if
- 7:40Speaker 1: you leave? It was like it was like a warning.
- 7:48Speaker 1: She was like giving us a little warning like stay
- 7:50Speaker 1: on topic or dot dot dot might have to stop listening.
- 7:54Speaker 3: I had one guy say to me something like, oh great,
- 7:57Speaker 3: you're gonna talk about how you don't remember any of
- 8:01Speaker 3: your lines? Can't wait?
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I believe it was the poet Taylor Swift
- 8:07Speaker 1: who once said haters are going to hate hate hate, hate, hate,
- 8:10Speaker 1: hate hate.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yes, that was the poet Taylor's By the.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Way, that album. I'm just saying. I went on a
- 8:15Speaker 1: walk today and have you been.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Listening to good. I've only listened to the first two songs.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Those are my two favorite songs.
- 8:21Speaker 1: But dude, I always do that too, whenever it's a
- 8:24Speaker 1: new album. I like, fall in love with two songs
- 8:27Speaker 1: and just play them NonStop and then don't even.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Ever go to the other songs.
- 8:31Speaker 1: But I went I went on a walk today with
- 8:33Speaker 1: my doggie and I went a little deep, and I
- 8:35Speaker 1: wanted to tell you another good one I found. It's
- 8:37Speaker 1: called seven. Okay, have you heard that one? Great, good,
- 8:44Speaker 1: beautiful song I like.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I like the first two songs good.
- 8:49Speaker 1: The Bonnie Bear song is not the first two. You
- 8:51Speaker 1: need to branch out to that one.
- 8:52Speaker 3: That's the one, and then the one that comes after
- 8:55Speaker 3: it is banging. And now I'm looking forward to Beyonce tonight.
- 9:00Speaker 3: You know that's when I'm gonna be watching.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Now do you think you and your wife might be
- 9:03Speaker 1: intimate because of Beyonce's sexy music video movie?
- 9:07Speaker 3: I am going to uh seduce the crap out of
- 9:13Speaker 3: my wife.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, well, maybe the sexy Beyonce video will get her
- 9:16Speaker 1: all wrong.
- 9:16Speaker 3: By ripping her clothes off of her.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Wet We don't need to know what you're role playing.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I'm like to seduce my wife tonight by taking all
- 9:26Speaker 3: of her clothes off of her.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Your wife looks really good. I have to say.
- 9:30Speaker 3: She's working on you know her, she looks on fire. Yeah,
- 9:34Speaker 3: she's so inside and outside. She's working on herself and
- 9:37Speaker 3: so well, what you're seeing is that glow.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I'm seeing that glow. You married. Well, she is one.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I hope it's okay that I say she is one.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Foxy Mama, Yeah, that's fine. She's fun.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I don't own her, She's just my wife.
- 9:51Speaker 1: No, but I don't want to be disrespectful. But I'm
- 9:54Speaker 1: here to tell you that she's hot.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Okay. I'm sure there are other people out there that
- 9:59Speaker 3: feel the same way. They do they do, you know
- 10:01Speaker 3: what she tells me. When I'm like, but there are
- 10:03Speaker 3: people that feel the same way about me, honey, She's like, no,
- 10:06Speaker 3: they don't know. Nobody wants you. Nobody wants you. Please, baby, baby,
- 10:16Speaker 3: baby please, Like She'll be like, you think Jaylo wants
- 10:21Speaker 3: you really? Really?
- 10:23Speaker 1: Well? You got you did think that Britney wanted you.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I can't.
- 10:29Speaker 3: We could tell the story.
- 10:30Speaker 1: But I know if you want to edit it out
- 10:32Speaker 1: or not, but.
- 10:32Speaker 3: We might have to edit it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You can choose to edit out. But all I know
- 10:35Speaker 1: is Donald thought Brittany wanted no, Brittany did want me
- 10:38Speaker 1: hold on? Man, And come on, buddy, did you hold on?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Did you have a chance of Brittany?
- 10:43Speaker 3: Dude? She would send dudes over, like dancers, over to
- 10:47Speaker 3: the table when we would be out and be like,
- 10:49Speaker 3: Brittany wants to talk to you, and I'd be like,
- 10:51Speaker 3: what they like, Yeah, Brittany wants to talk to you.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And here's her Murphy, who are we talking about?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Spears?
- 10:57Speaker 5: Wow?
- 10:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, iconic? Yeah, And I was.
- 11:02Speaker 3: But I was dating my wife at the time, so
- 11:04Speaker 3: I would be like, So I said to my wife,
- 11:05Speaker 3: I was like.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Babe, she should have given me a just let me
- 11:07Speaker 1: get the let me.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Get the let me get the go out on a
- 11:10Speaker 3: date with her. I'm not gonna I won't do anything.
- 11:12Speaker 3: I just want to go out on a date to
- 11:13Speaker 3: be like yo. And then afterwards we could talk about
- 11:16Speaker 3: the date and what happened on the date and where
- 11:18Speaker 3: she and I went and what we did.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Ye right, like, your girlfriend's gonna be like okay, as
- 11:21Speaker 1: long as just the date.
- 11:24Speaker 3: She was like absolutely not, And I was like ah right,
- 11:29Speaker 3: And so one night. One night, Britney kind of crossed
- 11:31Speaker 3: the line. Like we were out and about go on
- 11:34Speaker 3: and we were at Hide and Brittany was out with
- 11:39Speaker 3: like all of her dancers and she was just coming
- 11:41Speaker 3: back with Circus and it was about to like it
- 11:44Speaker 3: was it was about to pop, right and uh, right now,
- 11:50Speaker 3: Circus Circus Circus is a dope ass record, dude, It's
- 11:53Speaker 3: a dope record, dude. She was looking great, right and uh,
- 11:57Speaker 3: my wife was with me and she sent somebody over
- 12:01Speaker 3: and was like, Brittany wants you to come over and
- 12:02Speaker 3: say hi. And I was like, okay. My wife was like, yeah,
- 12:06Speaker 3: let's go over there. So we walk over there. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 3: let's go over and I was like, Hi, I'm his girlfriend.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm his girlfriend. And I was like, yeah, that's my girlfriend. Anyway.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Anyway, Donald, I think a lot of women want you.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I think a lot of men.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I agree with that. I disagree with the women want you.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Have a lot of gay suitors.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I feel like that I have a very you know,
- 12:33Speaker 3: handsome and uh, I think it's I do have a
- 12:38Speaker 3: nice butt, that's true.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Let's but it's like a shell, you know, if you
- 12:42Speaker 1: it's like a unit you can hang on the wall.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I feel like I feel like I feel like you
- 12:49Speaker 3: and I both go on are friends, and our friendship
- 12:56Speaker 3: is very inspiring to a lot of men out there.
- 13:01Speaker 3: And so it's only right that a lot of our
- 13:04Speaker 3: fans are boys because we can teach boys how to
- 13:07Speaker 3: love each other like that. Yes, that's just my point.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And listen, I think this next generation is going to
- 13:12Speaker 1: try way more things obviously. I mean, you know, we
- 13:17Speaker 1: were it was so taboo to experiment when we were
- 13:21Speaker 1: growing up, and now I think every all these young
- 13:23Speaker 1: people are just like, all right, let me try everything,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you know, like, let.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Me see what's for me, what's for me and what's
- 13:29Speaker 3: not for me.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I think that's I mean, if I'm
- 13:34Speaker 1: not mistaken, you guys can correct me if I'm wrong.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The women are are more free to do that already,
- 13:39Speaker 1: and I feel like the men are behind them. I
- 13:41Speaker 1: think like young, sexually active young people will be more
- 13:44Speaker 1: experimental in years to come, right, Joel, why are you
- 13:47Speaker 1: looking at me like I'm crazy?
- 13:49Speaker 2: No, I'm not sorry, lost in I thought of my
- 13:52Speaker 2: own But.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you ate that edible too early, Joe, Joel, Try
- 14:00Speaker 1: and have the edible. Try to have the edible when
- 14:02Speaker 1: the show's over.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I smell a job. Guys, good, it does you don't.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll be baked on this ship. I'm not really
- 14:16Speaker 3: you're having a beer. Well, it's not on camera, so.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I assume that you were high sometimes, but it doesn't
- 14:22Speaker 1: seem to mess up your performance because you're very entertaining,
- 14:25Speaker 1: except sometimes when you can't finish your sentence.
- 14:27Speaker 3: That only happens when I've drank too much or not
- 14:30Speaker 3: drink too much.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You can have one.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Like when I start getting like tongue tied and stuff
- 14:34Speaker 3: like that, it's because I might have.
- 14:37Speaker 1: There was a funny moment in the last episode where
- 14:39Speaker 1: you went on this long ass thing and I go,
- 14:41Speaker 1: well said.
- 14:47Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, dude, I'm in a good mood today. I
- 14:50Speaker 6: gotta say, good, you're happy.
- 14:53Speaker 1: If this were a normal environment and the world wasn't ending,
- 14:56Speaker 1: we would you and I would be going to the
- 14:58Speaker 1: beach and skipping down the sand together.
- 15:02Speaker 3: That's what we would do.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm trying to think of, Like, if
- 15:06Speaker 1: I could do anything with you this weekend, Disney fuck
- 15:09Speaker 1: Disney man, I would say Donald, No, no, I know
- 15:12Speaker 1: you Jones, I know you give.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Him Mickey he knows not what he does.
- 15:17Speaker 5: He does.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Oh, by the way, I sell the socks they're gonna want,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you know, the company's stance.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Of course, I'm gonna give.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Them a free plug right now. They have Empire Strikes
- 15:26Speaker 1: Back socks, a whole box of them.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a lot of Stance Star Wars socks,
- 15:31Speaker 3: I know.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But if you look, I was online last night looking
- 15:33Speaker 1: for new socks and Stance. If you want to send
- 15:36Speaker 1: me songs, you can't. But anyway, they have a whole
- 15:38Speaker 1: Empire Strikes Back box set. And I was like, I
- 15:41Speaker 1: would send this to Donald, but you know what's gonna happen.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I would send this link and he won't reply. Well,
- 15:47Speaker 1: that's that's why.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I would say. That's because I would be on the
- 15:49Speaker 3: link buying the stuff.
- 15:50Speaker 1: These are the things so early. By the way, bro,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I sometimes I fucking text you at like nine to
- 15:55Speaker 1: thirty and you don't remember sleep at nine thirty, like
- 15:58Speaker 1: your wife's up, because I'll text Casey and she he replies,
- 16:00Speaker 1: and this is and I were talking about like some
- 16:03Speaker 1: some ship and you I like, I got knowing, I
- 16:05Speaker 1: got you keep you're asleep.
- 16:07Speaker 3: But going on over Here's here's the thing. About me
- 16:09Speaker 3: and my wife. My wife likes to stay up late
- 16:13Speaker 3: and wake up late. I like to go to bed
- 16:15Speaker 3: early and get up early.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So you take the kids, like, crack it down when
- 16:19Speaker 1: they get up.
- 16:20Speaker 3: When they wake up, I'll go downstairs with them. The
- 16:23Speaker 3: problem is sometimes I get involved in watching television with
- 16:29Speaker 3: them and uh, forget to make them breakfast and stuff.
- 16:32Speaker 3: So She'll come down and be like, have the kids eating?
- 16:35Speaker 3: And I'll be like, oh, now they were supposed to eat.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Can't they feed themselves? Come on, they need to get
- 16:43Speaker 1: at it. Cereal on a bowl, pour some milk.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Listen. It's not that they cannot feed themselves, because they can.
- 16:48Speaker 3: I'm sure they can.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Just put the cereal on the table.
- 16:51Speaker 3: I want to watch. I need to. I need to
- 16:53Speaker 3: watch them though. That's my only thing. Man Like, uh,
- 16:57Speaker 3: it's there are a lot of people out there who
- 16:59Speaker 3: have experienced this, but when you watch your kids choke
- 17:01Speaker 3: on something, it's very scary and so therefore you know,
- 17:05Speaker 3: and I'm not saying that cereal can't do it, but
- 17:08Speaker 3: I just would prefer to be around them when they eat.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Like my kid goes, I'll be in another room eating. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Uh oh really you gotta watch him eat.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I get crazy. Look, dude, it took us forever.
- 17:20Speaker 1: A helicopter parent. You're a helicopter parent.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I am a helicopter Yes, I hover over my kids.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah you are.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I send a lot of life lifelines down even when
- 17:31Speaker 3: they don't need it. I'm that hell as chopper, blue Thunder,
- 17:35Speaker 3: I'm Blue Thunder.
- 17:36Speaker 1: No apache that bad chopper.
- 17:38Speaker 3: No, I'm Blue Thunder from the movie. Or air Wolf.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I'm air Wolf. I'm Blue Thunder or air Wolf.
- 17:44Speaker 1: What's the big military black hawk?
- 17:47Speaker 3: I'm a black hawk.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you're a black hawk.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I'm a black hawk.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You are a black hawk.
- 17:53Speaker 3: I am a black hawk. And I will freaking unleash
- 17:56Speaker 3: the thunder if you mess with my family. That's how
- 17:59Speaker 3: I feel about it.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And so.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I will chop the ship out of some food. I
- 18:04Speaker 3: will chop the ship out of some food.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Chop cheerios, ceios, chop them up.
- 18:09Speaker 3: I will let them sit in the in the milk
- 18:11Speaker 3: a little bit longer before I give them to the kids.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's the level of helicopter parent you are.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You let the fucking cheerios get soggy and you're like,
- 18:19Speaker 1: you may eat now.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Now you can eat these I don't have to worry
- 18:23Speaker 3: about them scratching your throat on the way down. I
- 18:26Speaker 3: can't help it, man, I can't help it. I love
- 18:28Speaker 3: my kids so much, it's ridiculous. I love them so much.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Like I sometimes at night I'll be in my bed
- 18:34Speaker 3: and I'll just be thinking about my kids, and I
- 18:36Speaker 3: will have spent the day with these little fuckers, you
- 18:38Speaker 3: know what I mean, Like, these kids are bad sometimes,
- 18:41Speaker 3: and even after they're bad, I'm in bed at night. Like,
- 18:45Speaker 3: you know, I love that little shithead. You know, that
- 18:50Speaker 3: little fucker was so mean to me today. But I
- 18:53Speaker 3: wouldn't trade it in for the world, Like it really
- 18:55Speaker 3: is that one.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's sweet. I can't wait to have little little children.
- 19:00Speaker 3: They change your life. Should we get into the show?
- 19:05Speaker 1: Yes, I think that's a good note. Do you want
- 19:07Speaker 1: to count us into America's favorite song?
- 19:10Speaker 3: Five? Six, seven, eight? Stories about show?
- 19:13Speaker 7: We made about a bunch of times and nurses, and.
- 19:20Speaker 8: I said, here's the stories nets No, so YadA ra here,
- 19:28Speaker 8: YadA ra here.
- 19:35Speaker 1: This is such a good episode.
- 19:36Speaker 3: It is a good episode. Only problem I have with
- 19:38Speaker 3: it is the outline of the episode like the outline
- 19:42Speaker 3: of the episode that I have to do. I went
- 19:44Speaker 3: away and I was gonna write some stuff down, Like I.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Still couldn't an attempt at it, because what's my.
- 19:49Speaker 3: First attempt at it? Well, it's my second attempt.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we had a misfire with Johnny C and now
- 19:54Speaker 1: this is your second past. This is your first opportunity
- 19:57Speaker 1: to do it again.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Okay, well it's not gonna but I'm gonna do it anyway.
- 20:02Speaker 3: But I did, as you know all, I watched this,
- 20:05Speaker 3: but this tell me when you're rolling.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Hold on, let me get my timer ready, tell me when.
- 20:09Speaker 3: You're going and go. This episode's about sex and relationships
- 20:15Speaker 3: and the workplace. Really at the workplace, it's hard to
- 20:18Speaker 3: maintain relationships, and especially after work, it's hard to maintain relationships.
- 20:22Speaker 3: J D and Elliott in this episode find each other
- 20:26Speaker 3: in the end because really they don't have anyone else.
- 20:30Speaker 3: And it's all because it's very difficult to work long
- 20:35Speaker 3: hours and maintain a life.
- 20:37Speaker 1: It's thirty seconds, but it's not your finest work.
- 20:39Speaker 3: But it's the truth, and that's what this episode is about.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Just as it was meandering, it was like this episode.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Because it's hard to write about sex and relationships, because
- 20:49Speaker 3: that's what this episode is really, you know what I mean,
- 20:51Speaker 3: It's about It's like you got to do one of
- 20:54Speaker 3: these every year. We got to do a sex and
- 20:55Speaker 3: relationship episode, and how it's tough to do it in
- 20:58Speaker 3: the workspace.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I might be so bold to say Donald, it's Donald, right.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I might be so bold to say that this is
- 21:06Speaker 1: the biggest sex scene I did the whole run.
- 21:11Speaker 3: You guys get hot and heavy in this.
- 21:12Speaker 1: We do we do And I remember shooting it. We
- 21:14Speaker 1: shot it a long time and I remember shooting it,
- 21:16Speaker 1: going are we gonna air this? Like this was like
- 21:21Speaker 1: they didn't they cut some stuff out because we were
- 21:23Speaker 1: like just going at it, Like this was like full on,
- 21:26Speaker 1: like we were kind of just hooking up, right.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It was like we're gonna pay you two to hook
- 21:32Speaker 3: up with each other.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I know it's acting, but it wasn't.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I mean, we were acting. We weren't like in a relationship,
- 21:37Speaker 1: but I mean you saw what you see is like
- 21:39Speaker 1: we did that for like a full day and they
- 21:42Speaker 1: only cut some of it out. I remember thinking, like
- 21:44Speaker 1: we were just going at it, and I was like, they're
- 21:46Speaker 1: not gonna air all of this on NBC. But you know,
- 21:48Speaker 1: we're like mass grabbing and I'm kissing her breasts and
- 21:51Speaker 1: we're just like jumping.
- 21:53Speaker 3: You're like grabbing her. Not only are you grabbing her ass,
- 21:55Speaker 3: you're grabbing like a cheek and then inside the cheek.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Like it's not just the you don't grab the outside cheek,
- 22:02Speaker 3: you grab the inside cheek. Yeah, and like this is
- 22:05Speaker 3: like some straight up, you know, soft core Skinemax stuff.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it was totally Skinmax. If you saw that on Skinmax,
- 22:12Speaker 1: you'd be like, oh, I'm watching Skinmax.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I'm watching Skinemax tonight.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Even the way the show opens up with uh with
- 22:19Speaker 3: uh Turk and Carla making out and how wet that
- 22:22Speaker 3: is of a kiss? Like the kisses are super wet yep,
- 22:25Speaker 3: and uh juicy.
- 22:27Speaker 1: It was a sexual episode. It was sexually charged.
- 22:29Speaker 3: You in the bathtub with gift Shop Girl.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Yeah. God, well, Sarah Lancaster, what a beautiful gal. I
- 22:35Speaker 1: gotta say. And I just as I said with the
- 22:37Speaker 1: Johnny C episode, I have been so stressed my libido
- 22:42Speaker 1: was zero.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Have you have I been so stressed that my libido
- 22:46Speaker 3: was zero?
- 22:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 22:47Speaker 3: No, that doesn't happen to you, doesn't it no, I
- 22:49Speaker 3: don't think no, because you just.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Have like a maga libido. Well, anyway, I.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Personally, you want to get into this right now, because
- 22:57Speaker 3: we could totally get into this right now.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Well, I mean I personally, and I'm sure there's listeners
- 23:00Speaker 1: out there, like if I'm directing and I'm stressed, or
- 23:04Speaker 1: I've got life family drama, or my brain is not
- 23:07Speaker 1: thinking about sex, my libidos is zero, And I think
- 23:11Speaker 1: that's what's happening with JD in this episode. He's he's, uh, wait,
- 23:16Speaker 1: why are you shaking your head?
- 23:17Speaker 3: I disagree one hundred percent.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Okay, can I finish my fucking thought? It's Donald right,
- 23:23Speaker 1: my Uh, he's got the thought of his sick patients
- 23:26Speaker 1: and the and the wounds that they have on them.
- 23:28Speaker 1: He's got He's preoccupied, of course, with leftover feelings from Elliott.
- 23:33Speaker 1: We establish he hasn't hooked up in a while with anybody,
- 23:37Speaker 1: and now he has arguably one of the prettiest girls
- 23:40Speaker 1: that was ever on Scrubs in front of him and
- 23:42Speaker 1: he's got nothing going on. Now, you can't just say
- 23:45Speaker 1: it's because oh he's obsessed with Elliott. That's bullshit. A
- 23:48Speaker 1: knockout of a woman like that in front of him
- 23:50Speaker 1: would still turn him on if his brain was present
- 23:53Speaker 1: in the moment she initiates a kiss with him, and
- 23:57Speaker 1: he's and he has nothing happened, So his brain is somewhere,
- 24:02Speaker 1: and he gets really anxious about it, as I'm sure
- 24:05Speaker 1: many men do when they go, Oh my god, what's
- 24:07Speaker 1: wrong with me? Why is nothing working? What the fuck?
- 24:10Speaker 1: What I liked about this episode? That didn't It didn't
- 24:12Speaker 1: make that a taboo subject men can't talk about, because
- 24:15Speaker 1: I think it is a taboo subject that men feel
- 24:17Speaker 1: they can't talk about.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Now, I would have at least given it. I would
- 24:20Speaker 3: have at least given it another shot. I would have
- 24:22Speaker 3: been like, Okay, it's not happening here. Maybe we should
- 24:25Speaker 3: go back to my place and try it, or maybe
- 24:27Speaker 3: we should go back to your place and try again.
- 24:30Speaker 3: And if it doesn't happen there, I'd be like, Okay,
- 24:31Speaker 3: well maybe we should try again at the door before
- 24:34Speaker 3: I leave, Let's try one more time. When that didn't work,
- 24:37Speaker 3: why don't you walk me to car? I think we
- 24:39Speaker 3: should try one last time, right, Because that is some bullshit.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm very with you. I don't think there's any world
- 24:47Speaker 1: in which JD would not have continued to try and
- 24:50Speaker 1: hook up with Sarah Lancaster's character Gift Shop.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Girl, especially after one hour or two hour date, however
- 24:56Speaker 3: long the date was. He went to kiss her good
- 24:58Speaker 3: night and realize at the good night kiss, oh, I can't.
- 25:02Speaker 3: It's not gonna work. I can't.
- 25:03Speaker 1: She was the aggressor. She was like, kiss me, and
- 25:06Speaker 1: then she is talking about his erection. She's like, ooh
- 25:11Speaker 1: is that a Is that a roll of quarters in
- 25:13Speaker 1: your pocket? He's having a good time and he's like,
- 25:15Speaker 1: actually it's a roller. Qorders laundry day.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Yeah, bullshit, bull That's what were you.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Gonna say about libido? You were saying because I know
- 25:24Speaker 1: that you have a very strong libido. I I I
- 25:29Speaker 1: let's phrase this tactfully. You are a man who can't
- 25:32Speaker 1: be satiated. What you can't be satiated?
- 25:36Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 25:37Speaker 1: That means there's never come a time where you've had
- 25:40Speaker 1: enough sex in a day where you go, you know what,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm good?
- 25:46Speaker 3: Correct, poor casey, Poor? I have no I love my
- 25:55Speaker 3: wife tremendously, and I've learned to curb my appetite when
- 25:58Speaker 3: it comes to that night, try my hardest to not
- 26:01Speaker 3: make her feel like a piece of meat in the house.
- 26:04Speaker 3: But you can't be satiated. I think my wife is fine, dude.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Like she's sexy to me, like her curves, everything about
- 26:12Speaker 3: her is sexy to me, you know what I mean.
- 26:14Speaker 3: And it's a little you know, it might be a
- 26:16Speaker 3: little too much for her, but it's the truth. It's
- 26:18Speaker 3: the honest and goodness truth she is. You know, she
- 26:22Speaker 3: is everything I've ever wanted in a woman before I
- 26:25Speaker 3: knew what I wanted in a woman. It's like, you know,
- 26:27Speaker 3: now I know what I wanted a woman, and she's
- 26:29Speaker 3: everything that I've wanted in a woman. Like you know,
- 26:32Speaker 3: you have dreams when you're a kid, Well, it feels
- 26:35Speaker 3: like she was the girl of my dreams, you know
- 26:36Speaker 3: what I mean. And now I got her, and you
- 26:40Speaker 3: know I want to beat.
- 26:44Speaker 1: No, I know. But what I'm saying is I'm not
- 26:48Speaker 1: negating anything. I think that's wonderful and I'm not negating
- 26:51Speaker 1: anything you're saying. I'm saying it's impressive, libido wise that
- 26:55Speaker 1: at forty six you don't ever go Okay, hey, I'm
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's enough for me for the day.
- 27:03Speaker 3: No, I don't, I don't, And you're right, it's it
- 27:10Speaker 3: is unfair.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I don't think that. I don't think that that's a
- 27:13Speaker 1: a I have.
- 27:13Speaker 3: A comment, very very very very strong libido.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Yes, yeah we do. Can we get that on a
- 27:18Speaker 1: T shirt for the merch Donald Faison, I have a
- 27:21Speaker 1: very very very strong libido. Another one, another one? It's
- 27:26Speaker 1: going with this ringtone, Joel, we can't get the new
- 27:29Speaker 1: the people are clamoring for for the what you're talking about,
- 27:32Speaker 1: what you're trying to get into a day of shooting song.
- 27:34Speaker 1: It's a slow moving train. This this, this ringtone train
- 27:38Speaker 1: one step away.
- 27:39Speaker 2: We're so close.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Trying to give the people what they desire, they also want.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Donald and I saying another one.
- 27:46Speaker 3: But that we don't own another one though.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I think we're allowed to say another one.
- 27:50Speaker 3: No, because we're just doing DJ Khaled man.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Should we do an ask DJ Collet and see if
- 27:54Speaker 1: we're allowed to use it?
- 27:56Speaker 3: Are you gonna do it? In the Aaron Nuber voice
- 27:57Speaker 3: of course, Okay, yes we should ask DJ ca DJ Khalid?
- 28:01Speaker 3: Would you be upset if we used another one?
- 28:05Speaker 5: I'm not at all Donald, you can you use it?
- 28:07Speaker 5: Ahind of time? And like another one is your horse
- 28:10Speaker 5: to use? I don't know how much, but you can
- 28:16Speaker 5: you see.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Oh my god, I really hope that I know, but
- 28:35Speaker 3: I hope we're not the only ones that think this
- 28:37Speaker 3: is funny. I don't hope that the four of us
- 28:39Speaker 3: aren't the only ones.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Now, it's impossible. It's impossible. It's funny.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Zach's DJ Khalid impression.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I listen, listen. There's no one else in the world
- 28:48Speaker 1: who does a DJ call it impression like that, and
- 28:51Speaker 1: I think it's unique to the show. Me talking about
- 28:53Speaker 1: the episode, or we should go to break or something.
- 28:55Speaker 1: What's going on, Josh?
- 28:56Speaker 2: What a break would probably be good?
- 28:58Speaker 1: All Right, I need to cool down from all the talk.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Donald fibido, he cannot be satiated. Listen, gentlemen, we'll be
- 29:03Speaker 1: right back. Well, Donald attempts to satiate himself.
- 29:06Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, we'll be right back.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get an episode. It's a very good episode.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I like it a lot.
- 29:23Speaker 3: I like it a lot too. I wondered about that,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and you already touched on it and pretty much answered
- 29:28Speaker 3: the question. That had to be a hard scene to shoot,
- 29:30Speaker 3: regardless of regardless of what you're doing in the scene,
- 29:33Speaker 3: that had to be one of those things where it's
- 29:35Speaker 3: like we're kissing again.
- 29:38Speaker 1: No, it wasn't like that. I mean, well, I mean listen,
- 29:43Speaker 1: sex sex sex scenes are you know, can be awkward
- 29:47Speaker 1: and particularly awkward if you don't have chemistry with the
- 29:50Speaker 1: person and you don't feel a genuine vibe. I think
- 29:53Speaker 1: Sarah and I loved each other and we're crazy about
- 29:55Speaker 1: each other, and we were like best friends, just like
- 29:57Speaker 1: you and I were. I think it's safe to say
- 29:59Speaker 1: we were genuin only attracted to each other. I think
- 30:01Speaker 1: that came across in the show. So, yeah, making out
- 30:05Speaker 1: for a full day was it times awkward but also
- 30:08Speaker 1: at times fun. That's my answer to that.
- 30:10Speaker 3: That's really interesting. You know, I've I've been an actor
- 30:14Speaker 3: for a really long time. I don't think I've ever
- 30:17Speaker 3: had makeout sessions for a full day while working as
- 30:21Speaker 3: an actor. I've done kissing scenes and I might have
- 30:25Speaker 3: like maybe one or two like comedy sex scenes, but
- 30:29Speaker 3: I don't have any genuine like makeout. I had another
- 30:33Speaker 3: one I had, Yeah, I know you have a you
- 30:34Speaker 3: have a bunch of a bunch.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Of I had a few in this show. But with
- 30:38Speaker 1: Rachel Bilson.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Last kiss, right, last kiss, that was the most time.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that was like my like softcore porn moment for it.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Has to be nerve wracking, though, Like there's so many
- 30:47Speaker 3: things that.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Rachel and I bolted shots of booze on that one
- 30:50Speaker 1: because we were nervous, I bet, because that was supposed
- 30:53Speaker 1: to be like the this was like at least comedic,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and you know, it's NBC Lascus is are and it
- 31:00Speaker 1: supposed to be this like erotic, you know, height of
- 31:03Speaker 1: the of the movie. We we like, I go and
- 31:06Speaker 1: we we just have this like intense crazy sex scene
- 31:09Speaker 1: in her dorm room and uh, and that was that
- 31:13Speaker 1: was Yeah. I think I was nerve wracking. That's why
- 31:14Speaker 1: we did shots to calm the anxiety.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I couldn't imagine doing something like that like the I
- 31:20Speaker 3: remember doing weight and to exhale, and it was the
- 31:22Speaker 3: scene where the girl's uh performing oral sex on me
- 31:26Speaker 3: and you don't really you don't even see the girl
- 31:28Speaker 3: doing it. But I was just so nervous. I'm in
- 31:30Speaker 3: my underwear, I have a thong on, you know what
- 31:33Speaker 3: I mean. We're in a room that's not air conditioned.
- 31:36Speaker 3: So now I got musk coming from the the areas
- 31:40Speaker 3: of my body were musk forms.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Did you put a little deodorant on your ball sick.
- 31:45Speaker 3: No I didn't put No, I didn't. I didn't do that,
- 31:55Speaker 3: but you know what I mean. It's just like I
- 31:57Speaker 3: was in a being so nervous and she's there and
- 32:00Speaker 3: it's like, what the how does this?
- 32:03Speaker 1: You know?
- 32:03Speaker 3: This is not this, This doesn't feel comfortable, and then
- 32:06Speaker 3: somebody breaks into the door and you got cameras in
- 32:08Speaker 3: your face and you got to pull your pants like
- 32:10Speaker 3: it's all it's it's just all so uh And so
- 32:15Speaker 3: I was wondering, like how it would have been nerve
- 32:18Speaker 3: wracking for me to have to do that for a
- 32:19Speaker 3: full day. That's just me.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah. The Bilson one was this was hot, This was
- 32:24Speaker 1: like fun, and I think that Sarah and I would
- 32:27Speaker 1: say it was awkward, of course, but but we had fun,
- 32:30Speaker 1: you know, I had to do. I was in a
- 32:31Speaker 1: play with with Ari Greener, and the jok was that
- 32:36Speaker 1: I was going down on her in the play and
- 32:39Speaker 1: there was covers over me, and the joke of the
- 32:42Speaker 1: play is that she's so bored and so not into whatever.
- 32:46Speaker 1: My technique is that she's she's above the covers reading
- 32:48Speaker 1: a book cool and and she's and she's like going,
- 32:51Speaker 1: oh yeah, that's great, keep going and she doesn't know.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Now in the play, I'm supposed to be like my
- 32:57Speaker 1: head like bopping around under under there. And so like
- 33:01Speaker 1: eight shows a week, she's in her underwear and I'm
- 33:04Speaker 1: down there like inches inches from her business and I'm like,
- 33:09Speaker 1: my head is supposed to be bouncing around but strategically
- 33:12Speaker 1: not touching anything. And for opening night, as a joke,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I gave her this pair of underwear that had the
- 33:19Speaker 1: scene printed in white on the groin of the under
- 33:25Speaker 1: in case I ever, in case I ever forgot my lines,
- 33:28Speaker 1: I could just read it off. And she laughed so
- 33:33Speaker 1: hard at that. And then we did the whole run
- 33:35Speaker 1: of the show, and on closing night I got down
- 33:37Speaker 1: there and she was wearing them.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Hilarious, hilarious, hilarious.
- 33:45Speaker 1: All right now, I think, as we should talk about
- 33:46Speaker 1: this wonderful moment of me washing rowdy in the bathtub.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I think of all the Scrubs gifts that are on
- 33:51Speaker 1: the interwebs, this is my favorite. One is JD forlornly
- 33:56Speaker 1: washing rowdy in the tub. I think that's what I
- 33:58Speaker 1: often send to people.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Now. It's a It's a metaphor also, though, isn't it
- 34:05Speaker 3: isn't it supposed to be Jad's not doing anything tonight,
- 34:08Speaker 3: but he's gonna wash the dog in the tub, meaning
- 34:12Speaker 3: he's gonna.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Master. Yes, No, I didn't get that at all. I
- 34:18Speaker 1: think it's.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Because then when he gets in the tub with gift
- 34:20Speaker 3: shop girl, Rowdy's still in there.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Well, the joke is like, oh, I know what we're
- 34:25Speaker 1: gonna do tonight. We're gonna wash Rowdy, Like he turns
- 34:28Speaker 1: it into something. Oh, I didn't think of it as
- 34:29Speaker 1: as a metaphor.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Rowdy meaning we're gonna wash.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't think of that at all.
- 34:34Speaker 3: I think that's no.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Well, you have a libid in his mind. I think it's. Uh.
- 34:38Speaker 3: By the way, I forgot, is that a word libidness?
- 34:41Speaker 1: Yeah, libidness is. It's not like deservant, the one you
- 34:43Speaker 1: made up the other day.
- 34:46Speaker 3: I looked it up. It's it's a movie. It stars Uh,
- 34:49Speaker 3: that's Divergent, Indivergent.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Who's indivergent?
- 34:56Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 34:57Speaker 1: By the way, for no memory that there's a bonus
- 34:59Speaker 1: fart joke scrubs man scrubs loves a good fart joke.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I had forgotten how many there are in the show.
- 35:05Speaker 1: We're so fucking childish, but I did giggle when when
- 35:08Speaker 1: all of a sudden in the tub you hear like
- 35:09Speaker 1: bloop and I go rowdy. All right, how about this
- 35:18Speaker 1: really low budget version of the hospital as a monster, Like,
- 35:22Speaker 1: no offense to whoever did it, but like that's the
- 35:25Speaker 1: best effect we could muster up with our budget of
- 35:28Speaker 1: the hospital turning into a monster.
- 35:29Speaker 3: It didn't look bad.
- 35:31Speaker 1: All that happens is like it turns green and like
- 35:34Speaker 1: fire comes out of the entrance.
- 35:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but until it turned green, you don't see a monster,
- 35:39Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Like once it turned green,
- 35:42Speaker 3: like you could see the eyes, you see where the
- 35:44Speaker 3: mouth is, Like everything kind of took shape when they
- 35:46Speaker 3: did that.
- 35:47Speaker 1: So yeah, it's that looked like that looked like a
- 35:50Speaker 1: student film. I feel like, well, again, this was twenty
- 35:53Speaker 1: years ago, and now it's easier to do that.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Well, you know you could do it on your iPhone.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Now you can probably do it on your iPhone with
- 35:58Speaker 1: an app. But I just I was like, this is
- 36:02Speaker 1: supposed to be like a central character of the episode,
- 36:04Speaker 1: that the hospital is like a big evil monster, and
- 36:06Speaker 1: I just thought it was a little low budget. Well,
- 36:08Speaker 1: no offense, bill, I know that the money was going elsewhere. Yeah,
- 36:13Speaker 1: Rob Maschio's thongs. Did you laugh? When I go to
- 36:17Speaker 1: hit on gift shop girl and I go dry spell,
- 36:20Speaker 1: prepare to be moistened, my gosh, and she goes, JD,
- 36:26Speaker 1: I can't give you gum, which means that JD often
- 36:29Speaker 1: tries to get free gum from.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Her right, which means JD often tries to talk to
- 36:34Speaker 3: her right.
- 36:35Speaker 1: But he's never hit on her, He's never asked her
- 36:37Speaker 1: out until today. Today is the day, because Judy says,
- 36:39Speaker 1: doesn't she say when was the last time you got laid?
- 36:41Speaker 1: Or something? Carl, So he feels like, Okay, you know what,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I'm not out there. I'm not hitting on anyone. I'm
- 36:46Speaker 1: not asking on dates. I'm gonna ask this girl out
- 36:48Speaker 1: on a date.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Do you believe in that? Don't believe in? Do you
- 36:51Speaker 3: believe in relationships at work?
- 36:55Speaker 1: I think if you're someone who you know, if you're
- 36:58Speaker 1: a doctor, and I mean obviously with goes without saying,
- 37:01Speaker 1: one needs to be appropriate and respectful in all in
- 37:05Speaker 1: all the ways one should be. But I think if
- 37:07Speaker 1: you solely work in a hospital and that's where ninety
- 37:10Speaker 1: percent of your life is, and there's a beautiful girl
- 37:13Speaker 1: who works at the gift shop. There's nothing wrong with
- 37:15Speaker 1: asking around a date, absolutely.
- 37:17Speaker 3: I agree. The only thing that I worry about is
- 37:19Speaker 3: when it all comes down and you break up and
- 37:23Speaker 3: the awkwardness between Like some people are really good about
- 37:26Speaker 3: it and some people are not. Like I'm one of
- 37:29Speaker 3: those cats. Like I'm one of those cats that I
- 37:31Speaker 3: can't really tell you how many ex girlfriends of mine
- 37:34Speaker 3: I'm friends with, you know what I mean. And it's
- 37:36Speaker 3: not because we just stop. It's not because I don't
- 37:40Speaker 3: want to be friends with him. It's just that we're
- 37:42Speaker 3: not dating anymore.
- 37:44Speaker 1: So why I think it becomes mostly becomes inappropriate for
- 37:47Speaker 1: your next partner, Like you might you might still shoot
- 37:50Speaker 1: the shit on text with with someone you dated and
- 37:52Speaker 1: it's good. But then when you when you get to
- 37:54Speaker 1: be committed to somebody new, I think it can be
- 37:57Speaker 1: disrespectful if you're still chatting. That's my take on it.
- 37:59Speaker 1: But a lot of people are. I don't know about you, guys,
- 38:03Speaker 1: but a lot of people still shoot the ship with
- 38:05Speaker 1: their exes.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Do you think JDN gift shop girl still shot the
- 38:07Speaker 3: ship after this? Uh?
- 38:10Speaker 2: No?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Is she another one though? Don't I do? Just she
- 38:13Speaker 1: and more?
- 38:13Speaker 3: I thought she was in the next episode.
- 38:15Speaker 1: But but I don't know, well is she She couldn't
- 38:18Speaker 1: back and look it up.
- 38:19Speaker 6: I think she did more than one, Sarah Lank, I
- 38:20Speaker 6: think it was just one.
- 38:23Speaker 1: She does a lip bite, which made me think of
- 38:25Speaker 1: the founder of the sexy lip bite, which was Alicia Silverstone.
- 38:30Speaker 1: No one, no one did a lip bite. I want
- 38:32Speaker 1: to have Alicia on the podcast to talk about the
- 38:36Speaker 1: founding of the lip bite.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I don't know if she founded the lip bite.
- 38:40Speaker 1: In my mind as a as a teenager, I didn't
- 38:43Speaker 1: know what a lip bite was until I.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Saw a teenager. You want a teenager? When you saw
- 38:47Speaker 3: Alicia Silverstone?
- 38:49Speaker 1: I'm talking how well remember those Aerosmith videos.
- 38:53Speaker 3: That was maybe a year before Clueless came.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Out, Joelle. Can you look up when the first Aerosmith
- 39:00Speaker 1: video with a with a lip biting Alicia Silverstone.
- 39:03Speaker 3: You had to be at least twenty.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Well, anyway, who cares if I was fifteen or I
- 39:10Speaker 1: was twenty, they were they were.
- 39:12Speaker 3: I'm just saying, you want a kid.
- 39:13Speaker 1: It was well documented that I had a crush on
- 39:16Speaker 1: Alsa's Silverstone, and and she was a great lipbier, you know, Donald.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Yeah, do you want to get back into the what's
- 39:24Speaker 3: that Well, we're moving on now.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so so yeah, we talked about this at
- 39:32Speaker 1: length in the last episode. But you do you don't
- 39:34Speaker 1: last very long, right, and because you're tired. I don't
- 39:38Speaker 1: get it you're tired or what.
- 39:40Speaker 3: I think it's because he's tired. I think he's tired
- 39:42Speaker 3: and he wants to uh cry. Came out in ninety three?
- 39:46Speaker 3: What year were What year did you graduate?
- 39:48Speaker 1: I graduated high school in ninety three, so were eighteen.
- 39:50Speaker 1: I was eighteen. I was eighteen. Alisa Silverstone was my
- 39:54Speaker 1: crush and she was throwing lip bites left and right.
- 39:58Speaker 1: I think we can get Alicia. I think we can
- 40:00Speaker 1: because we're both friends with her. Let's get her on
- 40:02Speaker 1: the podcast. I know she has nothing to with Scrumbs,
- 40:04Speaker 1: but we could do a little side thing that's like
- 40:07Speaker 1: just talking clueless. We can talk Aerosmith videos.
- 40:10Speaker 3: If she's down to do it.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we could totally get I mean, I she was
- 40:14Speaker 1: just in my short film. She's an awesome person. Netflix.
- 40:18Speaker 2: It's a perfect time. You guys, don't even at Lasia
- 40:20Speaker 2: Silverstone is my background through most of college.
- 40:23Speaker 3: I Silverstone. Listen.
- 40:26Speaker 2: We haven't gotten into it yet. Clueless was everything to
- 40:28Speaker 2: me as a young baby god obsessed with Clueless, obsessed
- 40:35Speaker 2: The opening scene alone with the rotating closet like peak,
- 40:39Speaker 2: please please silver Stone.
- 40:41Speaker 3: She can't talk, that she's tongue tied.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, she can't talk. She's fanning herself as per usual. Good,
- 40:47Speaker 1: she's just you know, this is like three Joelle fanning
- 40:51Speaker 1: herself moments for this episode already.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of fandoms today.
- 40:56Speaker 1: All right, Donald, I'm putting out there. I'll text her now, yeah, Texture,
- 41:00Speaker 1: because this is my idea. We go listen. As you know,
- 41:03Speaker 1: we both love you, and we both talk about you
- 41:06Speaker 1: a lot. Why not have you come on and we'll
- 41:08Speaker 1: do it. We'll do a digression from Scrubs and we'll
- 41:10Speaker 1: talk about Clueless, and we'll talk about the Aerosmith videos. Well,
- 41:15Speaker 1: this is exciting, ladies and gentlemen. I know, I can't.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I don't see why Alicia would say no, because the
- 41:20Speaker 1: only person she loves more than Donald Faison is me,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and uh, we're gonna make it happen.
- 41:24Speaker 3: I just don't understand why she'd be on the show.
- 41:26Speaker 1: But yeah, absolutely, this is why she'd be on the show.
- 41:29Speaker 1: You are in like many people's favorite comedy of that era,
- 41:34Speaker 1: and we happen to know the star. And she was
- 41:39Speaker 1: also one of my biggest cutshas, and she invented the
- 41:43Speaker 1: lip bite. And she was the star of my short
- 41:45Speaker 1: film with Ms. Florence Pugh in the Time It Takes
- 41:48Speaker 1: to Get There, which if you haven't watched, you should
- 41:51Speaker 1: go watch on YouTube right now.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Okay, tell me you didn't laugh. Tell me you didn't
- 41:56Speaker 3: laugh when I said, baby, you know, I get nervous
- 41:58Speaker 3: when you start chatting.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that was funny.
- 42:02Speaker 3: He's a good man. He's a good man. He's a
- 42:05Speaker 3: good man. Baby. You know, I get nervous when you
- 42:06Speaker 3: start chatting, right, Ye?
- 42:08Speaker 1: How about what the how about when you go player?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Hold me down?
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yeah? Do you remember where that came from?
- 42:14Speaker 1: No? Well, you and I used to say that to
- 42:15Speaker 1: each other in real life, but I don't know what
- 42:16Speaker 1: the origin was.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I don't know what the origin was either. That's why
- 42:19Speaker 3: I just asked you, do you know where that came from?
- 42:22Speaker 1: Bill put it in the show, We put it, We
- 42:24Speaker 1: improve something that.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that was something that we came up.
- 42:27Speaker 1: With playing and then fist down. Yeah, well you made
- 42:31Speaker 1: that up because I don't even know what that means
- 42:33Speaker 1: hold me down.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Player.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Oh, now I know what the does it mean? Like
- 42:42Speaker 1: keep it real?
- 42:44Speaker 3: Yeah, man means hold me down, man. Support a brother.
- 42:47Speaker 1: You were the one who was teaching me the cool
- 42:49Speaker 1: kids expressions. Remember when I told you you came in
- 42:52Speaker 1: and you said, the new thing is? What was it?
- 42:55Speaker 1: That one? I told you that's what's up. That's what's up.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That's what's up. And you've stuck with that what's up
- 43:00Speaker 1: a long time?
- 43:01Speaker 3: Stuck with me.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you love Yeah, I'll be like Donald double, like
- 43:07Speaker 1: Donald you want to get to the other night. That's what's up. Now.
- 43:14Speaker 1: It's funny when the janitor is reaching his hand into
- 43:16Speaker 1: the candy machine. For those of you who know are
- 43:19Speaker 1: in the business, there's this thing called the greeking, which
- 43:22Speaker 1: means you can't show a brand without permission from the brand,
- 43:27Speaker 1: and and so they do this thing where they disguise
- 43:29Speaker 1: all of the all of the labels, which is tricky
- 43:32Speaker 1: if you're showing a full candy machine. But if you
- 43:34Speaker 1: go look at the episode, there's all this really weird
- 43:36Speaker 1: greeking that was done probably by our friend Patrick Bolton,
- 43:39Speaker 1: where it's like there'll be a Snickers bar and then
- 43:41Speaker 1: like they'll just have like it looks like it's like
- 43:44Speaker 1: there's a leaf or something stuck in front of the label.
- 43:49Speaker 3: In front to mask it.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because you go back and look at it, every
- 43:55Speaker 1: single label is just weirdly disguised so you can't see
- 43:58Speaker 1: that it means obviously a nickers or a kick cat
- 44:01Speaker 1: or whatever. But like the labels are quote unquote Greeked.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That's what they got.
- 44:04Speaker 3: I thought they were Greeked in ways like the they
- 44:06Speaker 3: would take sharpies and connect things or.
- 44:08Speaker 1: That's what they often do. But maybe Patrick was late
- 44:10Speaker 1: to the day work that tape.
- 44:12Speaker 3: I need a leaf. I'll go outside.
- 44:14Speaker 1: It almost looks like it almost looks like it's either
- 44:17Speaker 1: a leaf. A leaf would make no sense. It's like
- 44:19Speaker 1: brown cardboard or something that's been cut to like hide
- 44:23Speaker 1: the labels. Sorry, just a little behind the scenes weirdness.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Shout out Patrick Bolton.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Patrick Bolton, who was the onset dresser. Now, for
- 44:31Speaker 1: those of you who don't know, the onset dresser is
- 44:33Speaker 1: the guy who, when you're shooting is constantly moving stuff around.
- 44:36Speaker 1: The DP will say the cinematographers say, hey, can you
- 44:39Speaker 1: move that painting. It's giving me a glare and he's like,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I'm on it, and then he'll move it and hey,
- 44:43Speaker 1: this table needs to go because we need to put
- 44:45Speaker 1: the camera here, and he moves it. And they're the
- 44:47Speaker 1: ones that are responsible for anything that the art department
- 44:51Speaker 1: has going on in the set during the actual shoot.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I used to love how we used to make fun
- 44:56Speaker 3: of Patrick because Patrick was always around and you always
- 44:58Speaker 3: would have to set the clock or or or.
- 45:02Speaker 1: One of their main responsibilities is setting the clock in
- 45:04Speaker 1: the because there's ever a clock in this in this set,
- 45:07Speaker 1: they don't you don't want it to move, so they
- 45:09Speaker 1: don't have batteries in them otherwise that they'll never match.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So then they have to talk to the script supervisor
- 45:14Speaker 1: and say, okay, what time is it? What time is
- 45:16Speaker 1: it in the day in the world of the show.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And then he was always usually a one man band,
- 45:21Speaker 1: which was hard, so he figured out a way to
- 45:23Speaker 1: put wheels on everything. So we made up a song
- 45:27Speaker 1: for him. Do you remember it's me specialty.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Dealing with clocks and wheels.
- 45:36Speaker 1: If it's a clock he was British. By the way,
- 45:39Speaker 1: if it's a clock, I'll set it, No, no way.
- 45:42Speaker 1: If it's got wheels, I'll move it. If it's got.
- 45:45Speaker 3: If it's a clock clock, I'll set it.
- 45:48Speaker 1: No, I think it was. If it's a clock, all
- 45:50Speaker 1: set it.
- 45:52Speaker 3: It's me speciality.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Dealing with clocks and.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Wheels that need would make me laugh so hard.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's how fucking much time we spend
- 46:06Speaker 1: it on all his little.
- 46:09Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's not. It's my specialty. It's it's me.
- 46:12Speaker 3: It's me.
- 46:13Speaker 1: We did a little about Mary Poppins.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Mary Poppins, we did freaking Burt from Mary Poppins.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it made me special taste. Whenever I'm over there
- 46:20Speaker 1: trying to in my British accent. My girlfriend's family says,
- 46:24Speaker 1: I sound like Dick Van Mary Poppins.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Yeah, don't do don't dealing wave clock tan Way, you
- 46:30Speaker 3: dealing with cloaks and we.
- 46:32Speaker 1: You Oh, Patrick, we should have him on the show.
- 46:38Speaker 3: Oh that would be great, man. I'd love to catch
- 46:40Speaker 3: up with Patrick. I'd love to catch up with a
- 46:41Speaker 3: lot of these cats.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Man.
- 46:42Speaker 3: There are a lot of people out there that work
- 46:45Speaker 3: so hard.
- 46:45Speaker 1: On I wonder, I wonder if the listeners would want
- 46:48Speaker 1: to hear from from some of the crew people.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Let's ask them, guys, weigh in on it, man, because
- 46:52Speaker 3: we got a lot of people with some very interesting
- 46:54Speaker 3: stories that I think you would love to hear. But
- 46:57Speaker 3: you know, we're nervous, We're still you know, we don't
- 47:00Speaker 3: want to kind of we don't want to let you down.
- 47:02Speaker 1: We want to don't want to tease that we're gonna
- 47:04Speaker 1: have Lisa Silverstone and then bring on Patrick Bolton.
- 47:06Speaker 3: You know, we don't want to write so let us know.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Do you want to bring both?
- 47:09Speaker 3: Yeah? Do you want to hear from our crew members,
- 47:11Speaker 3: because I'm sure they got some wonderful stories for you
- 47:14Speaker 3: guys to listen to.
- 47:14Speaker 1: They do they do. They can talk about how Donald
- 47:17Speaker 1: took forever to come to set.
- 47:18Speaker 3: No, that's not true.
- 47:20Speaker 1: So how about how I call him Perry at eight
- 47:22Speaker 1: oh four?
- 47:23Speaker 3: You got to get a little ballsy.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I got a little cocky calling him Perry. You got
- 47:27Speaker 1: him trying He goes Perry. I go, I'm trying it out,
- 47:29Speaker 1: try it out, and then I go a Q any questions.
- 47:35Speaker 3: I love Jordan on this. I love the curly Fries situation.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Yeah, because you can relate.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Oh, I could totally relate. And at the end when
- 47:45Speaker 3: Jordan says curly Fries and the face that she makes
- 47:49Speaker 3: where it's like, it's hopeful that he did it, but also,
- 47:52Speaker 3: please don't disappoint me. She has the fear that he
- 47:55Speaker 3: disappointed her, and she's like curly fries and he pulls
- 47:59Speaker 3: him out and she's so hap That's real deal. Holy Field, man.
- 48:02Speaker 3: I remember when Casey was pregnant with Rocco. She would
- 48:06Speaker 3: eat oatmeal every night, and so at one point I
- 48:09Speaker 3: would be like, do you want to go out to dinner?
- 48:11Speaker 3: And she would go oatmeal.
- 48:16Speaker 1: For dinner?
- 48:16Speaker 3: Yeah, for dinner, oatmeal? Oh yeah, absolutely, whatever you want. Baby.
- 48:21Speaker 1: You just gave me an idea. I might have a
- 48:22Speaker 1: Beyond Burger today for lunch. Have you had Beyond Burgers?
- 48:26Speaker 1: They're really good.
- 48:27Speaker 3: No, you know, I've stopped eating red and meat. I
- 48:30Speaker 3: know Beyond Burger's plant based. I just get a little
- 48:32Speaker 3: nervous that it's gonna taste like it's delicious.
- 48:36Speaker 1: And by the way, this is not one of our sponsors.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I'm just this is totally true. I'm not being paid
- 48:40Speaker 1: to tell you this. Beyond Burger is delicious. Now, granted
- 48:43Speaker 1: you want to put a little salt and pepper and
- 48:45Speaker 1: all the things you would do. You put the relish
- 48:47Speaker 1: in the ketchup and the mustard, but it's really good.
- 48:51Speaker 1: So for me, I was always like, I want to
- 48:53Speaker 1: give up red meat, but and I won't crave steak.
- 48:55Speaker 1: The thing I'll crave is a burger.
- 48:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I still I'm telling you, will you try beyond here?
- 49:00Speaker 9: For me?
- 49:00Speaker 1: I will. I'll postmatee you some I'll send you some over.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Yeah. You know, somebody, somebody hit me up and was like,
- 49:07Speaker 3: you know, red meat is not bad for you, it's
- 49:09Speaker 3: good for you, et cetera, et cetera. It's my personal choice.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Yeah, And I I have to be honest, I've been
- 49:17Speaker 1: struggling personally. I'm not broadcasting. I hate when people fucking
- 49:22Speaker 1: prosthetize their ship. I'm not trying to tell you to
- 49:23Speaker 1: do whatever you want to do. I personally have been
- 49:26Speaker 1: struggling a little with the ethics of eating animals, and
- 49:30Speaker 1: anytime I see video footage of how they're treated, I
- 49:33Speaker 1: want to change my ways and it's it's it's taken forever.
- 49:38Speaker 1: And my girlfriend has inspired me a lot, and I'm
- 49:42Speaker 1: really kind of starting to do it.
- 49:44Speaker 3: But how's your penis? What do you mean how's your penis?
- 49:50Speaker 1: My penis is delightful. Why are you asking I'm.
- 49:53Speaker 3: Just trying to get back to the show.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Oh now, you don't like digressions. Fucking assholes, daloof. We
- 50:03Speaker 1: not only lost Susan from Duluth, we lost the co host.
- 50:06Speaker 1: All right, all right, let's bring on the fan Donald.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Here we go. First, let's go to Before we do that,
- 50:16Speaker 3: let's go to break.
- 50:18Speaker 1: We're gonna go do you want to see something wise?
- 50:20Speaker 1: We're going into break, something to just impart the fans
- 50:23Speaker 1: with with something that's just wise. They can think about
- 50:26Speaker 1: it during the break.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Three licks to the center of a tootsi pop. That's
- 50:29Speaker 3: all I'm gonna tell you. Three way more than three licks,
- 50:32Speaker 3: not according to the owl.
- 50:33Speaker 1: They right back on that note.
- 50:45Speaker 3: It's David Kanna.
- 50:52Speaker 1: It's David. Hey, guys, pop it. I'm sorry they keep
- 50:58Speaker 1: doing okay, David, I apologize for that.
- 51:04Speaker 9: I love every second that was.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, David. I gotta do something.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Did I get it right? Cannon?
- 51:11Speaker 9: You've got it by the first time. That's very rare.
- 51:13Speaker 1: It's David. I'm sorry, but my as broke. I don't
- 51:15Speaker 1: have to take off my shirt.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Where is your shirt? Zach?
- 51:25Speaker 1: I have pants on. It's sir, David. Do you mind
- 51:30Speaker 1: if I remove my.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Shirt, David, I'm so sorry.
- 51:32Speaker 9: I'm not to do the exact same thing.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Why did you do it, David?
- 51:35Speaker 3: Before you came on your shirt, then we were all
- 51:37Speaker 3: gonna have to remove our shirt.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Listen, David, before you came on, we learned that my
- 51:41Speaker 1: a C is broken and I have to keep the
- 51:43Speaker 1: doors closed because the sound. So this is what's happening.
- 51:48Speaker 1: How are you, David? Where are you calling from?
- 51:50Speaker 9: I'm in London and I'm feeling similar to you right now, Zach,
- 51:53Speaker 9: because there's thirty It was thirty five degrees today London.
- 51:57Speaker 1: That means I'm guessing that's Selsius. Yes, were very hot actually.
- 52:03Speaker 9: And it's still twenty five degrees now, so it is
- 52:05Speaker 9: a warm night.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Do you often find that Americans who do a British
- 52:10Speaker 1: accent sound like Dick van Dyke and Mary Poppins.
- 52:15Speaker 9: It's getting better. There was that was like an error
- 52:17Speaker 9: where there was like a staple accent.
- 52:20Speaker 1: But I feel like British British British actors are are English.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Excuse me, English actors are so good at doing American accents,
- 52:29Speaker 1: and I find that whenever we Americans try, we sound ridiculous.
- 52:33Speaker 9: I mean story, for example, was a surprise that most
- 52:36Speaker 9: Americans I.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Think, yeah, yes, yes, yes, it's either the Dick van
- 52:42Speaker 3: Dyke accent or it's the guy from Monty Python. How
- 52:45Speaker 3: many are there? Did you say fool rabbits.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Or you're saying that that's what Americans sound like when
- 52:54Speaker 1: they those are the.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Two British accents they do. They either do the Dick
- 52:57Speaker 3: pen Hello, Merybury popens or how many did you shut?
- 53:05Speaker 1: David? Where where in the UK are you? You said? London?
- 53:10Speaker 9: London near Stratford Way.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Are you near the melon Bourne Station? Mary Bourne Station.
- 53:17Speaker 1: Marley Bone, Donald Marley Bone.
- 53:20Speaker 3: Marley Bone. I stayed at that hotel.
- 53:24Speaker 9: Okay, that's that's.
- 53:26Speaker 3: I love that area.
- 53:28Speaker 1: You just wanted to say Marley Bone.
- 53:30Speaker 3: It's a great name.
- 53:31Speaker 1: It is David. Thanks for coming on the show.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Do you have a question?
- 53:35Speaker 9: Is this is? This is nice?
- 53:37Speaker 1: Thank you have very nice headphones. You have a nice camera.
- 53:39Speaker 1: I'm sensing you have a better.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Can you have a moscow mule in your hand?
- 53:42Speaker 1: Do you have a moscow mule?
- 53:43Speaker 2: Oh?
- 53:43Speaker 9: I mean this is actually it's a take on a
- 53:46Speaker 9: moscow mule. This has been made.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Oh looking shout out GT.
- 53:54Speaker 1: But listen, Donald and I are researching releasing the adayish
- 53:57Speaker 1: Shun Moscow Mule, and I'm really be that you're representing
- 54:01Speaker 1: because you know what you're trying to get.
- 54:03Speaker 3: It's always a great answer what you're trying to get
- 54:05Speaker 3: into a day Shun.
- 54:07Speaker 1: I don't know that we can call it a day
- 54:09Speaker 1: of Shune though, because here's the problem. Unless you're an
- 54:11Speaker 1: avid listener in the podcast, you're gonna be like, what
- 54:13Speaker 1: the fuck is that? So it might have to be
- 54:15Speaker 1: called it might have to be called like the Fake
- 54:18Speaker 1: Doctor's Moscow Mule or the Real Friends Moscow Mule. Like looking,
- 54:23Speaker 1: you look so disappointed.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Because I like the what. I like the I like
- 54:26Speaker 3: the ad for it. What you're trying to get into,
- 54:30Speaker 3: Dao shoon, what you're trying to dodo Shoon.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I just feel like in our very first marketing meeting,
- 54:39Speaker 1: they're gonna be like, no one's gonna know what a
- 54:40Speaker 1: day of Shune is.
- 54:42Speaker 3: They will if we market it right. Anyway, let's get.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Sorry, we digress. David, how are you give us a
- 54:48Speaker 1: question for for us? Please?
- 54:50Speaker 3: David? Before you begin, can you tell them what you do?
- 54:52Speaker 9: Yeah? Sure, So, I mean I work in film. I
- 54:55Speaker 9: mean at least I used to you until COVID happened
- 54:58Speaker 9: a re quite a few months there now, and I
- 55:01Speaker 9: guess I kind of I got into film actually, uh,
- 55:04Speaker 9: when I was working in the corporate media, and then
- 55:07Speaker 9: at the time I spent all my holiday being a
- 55:11Speaker 9: extra in the solo film.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Donald, this is a present from Joel's.
- 55:21Speaker 9: I got that, Joel, I got that.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Look at his face. Look at Donald's face. It's like
- 55:25Speaker 1: you just gave him the present of his life, which
- 55:27Speaker 1: which Star Wars held one Donald solo, I said, solo.
- 55:31Speaker 3: In the solo film.
- 55:32Speaker 1: So so, David, are you in a position to tell
- 55:36Speaker 1: us what the fuck happened on that set?
- 55:40Speaker 9: I mean I was only at the time an essay
- 55:42Speaker 9: like a background actor, So I mean I was.
- 55:44Speaker 3: Yeah, But you saw both versions. Did you see both versions?
- 55:46Speaker 1: Did you see Kennedy coming in and saying you're fired?
- 55:50Speaker 3: Good the fuck out to hear you too, I'm sick
- 55:52Speaker 3: of this ship rolling. I want Star Wars.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Yes, And they roll in Ron Howard like on the
- 55:59Speaker 1: Silence the Lambs Dolly, and he's got like they bring
- 56:02Speaker 1: him in.
- 56:02Speaker 3: The like go to work, and he goes to work
- 56:04Speaker 3: and he takes off the mask yeah, and the Lord
- 56:07Speaker 3: get the fuck out of here.
- 56:09Speaker 9: I was lucky enough to work with I mean, not
- 56:11Speaker 9: exactly like I have to work with them both. I mean,
- 56:15Speaker 9: I'm gonna see both directions, do that do that job,
- 56:18Speaker 9: which was amazing. But again I mean also like the
- 56:22Speaker 9: I think they're very terrifying. Is the NBA is.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Cat.
- 56:29Speaker 1: No, he can't get in trouble still, but maybe you can.
- 56:31Speaker 1: You and Joel and Donald could hop on a different
- 56:34Speaker 1: private zoom and you can give him the dirt that
- 56:36Speaker 1: NDA ship man trying to get our new friend David
- 56:39Speaker 1: in trouble by.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Breaking no man, But listen, man, I get it, I
- 56:44Speaker 3: get it, I get it. You're not supposed to spill
- 56:46Speaker 3: the beans. But sometimes, like dude, it's me, David. I
- 56:50Speaker 3: fucking said your name until I lost my breath. You
- 56:52Speaker 3: can't give me no fucking the information I said something.
- 56:56Speaker 3: I said your name until I couldn't breathe anymore.
- 56:58Speaker 1: That's true.
- 57:00Speaker 3: And now you sit here and you tell me that
- 57:03Speaker 3: you can't give me. Okay, ask a question, David, Let's
- 57:05Speaker 3: see what I give you.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Ask a question. He's going to say, He's going to say,
- 57:10Speaker 1: he's going to say he signed an NDA so question one,
- 57:17Speaker 1: Question one.
- 57:18Speaker 9: So you guys just said like several times over these
- 57:20Speaker 9: podcasts that the writers were always having to get ideas
- 57:23Speaker 9: and scripts cleared by the network, and it often get
- 57:26Speaker 9: changed or shot down, like the whole medical marijuana idea,
- 57:29Speaker 9: I think what's happened in season one and they were like, nah,
- 57:31Speaker 9: you can't do that.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:33Speaker 9: So, Mike, my question is if you had total control
- 57:36Speaker 9: of the show, uh, like say, it's like a Netflix
- 57:39Speaker 9: film you had like you were you were the makers,
- 57:40Speaker 9: you had all the power. Is there a storyline and
- 57:43Speaker 9: no idea that you think would be fun to play
- 57:45Speaker 9: with the network would just never allow.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I don't know if there's a storyline, but I definitely
- 57:51Speaker 3: think that there's a Oh wait, I signed an NDA.
- 57:55Speaker 1: That was a good fake out. That was a good
- 57:57Speaker 1: fake out because my brain it went, oh good, he's
- 57:59Speaker 1: going to be mature. And then no fake out.
- 58:01Speaker 3: No, no, In all honesty, I do I don't know.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I don't necessarily think storyline, but I think format of
- 58:09Speaker 3: the show, like I would make it more riskue like
- 58:13Speaker 3: curb your enthusiasm, you know what I mean, or something
- 58:18Speaker 3: like that, like if if if we could and if
- 58:22Speaker 3: we could come back and do it on a network
- 58:24Speaker 3: where we could do all of the jokes that we
- 58:27Speaker 3: wanted to do from the gate. I would like to
- 58:30Speaker 3: see that. I would like to see a more riskue
- 58:32Speaker 3: version of Scrubs with you know, maybe more It could
- 58:38Speaker 3: be blood, it could be guts, it could be cursing,
- 58:40Speaker 3: it could be sexual content.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I agree with Donald. I would also go darker into
- 58:45Speaker 1: the world of medicine. I mean, we've touched on it.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Obviously Scrubs touched on it, but there's a lot of
- 58:50Speaker 1: fucked up shit that goes on the bureaucracy. Obviously we
- 58:53Speaker 1: touched on the pharmaceutical reps. Obviously we touched on but
- 58:56Speaker 1: you know, there's literally decisions that are made being like, hey,
- 59:02Speaker 1: this person has insurance that that person doesn't, so we're
- 59:04Speaker 1: gonna go again. We touched on it in a in
- 59:06Speaker 1: a network safe kind of way that I would I
- 59:08Speaker 1: would say, let's go darker into it. By the way,
- 59:10Speaker 1: I don't know that you guys have universal health care there,
- 59:12Speaker 1: so you're you know, it's it's a it's a completely
- 59:15Speaker 1: different system there. But here decisions are made on the
- 59:18Speaker 1: quality of your insurance, which means that you had a
- 59:21Speaker 1: good enough job to get enough insurance to live, and
- 59:25Speaker 1: people are sent home because they don't have the right insurance,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and decisions are made based on so many factors that
- 59:31Speaker 1: are inhumane. I think in a lot of ways that
- 59:34Speaker 1: are foreign to someone who lives in a country with
- 59:37Speaker 1: universal health care.
- 59:38Speaker 9: No such just one thing I'm kind of like I
- 59:41Speaker 9: get started to learn form Scrubs was just how different
- 59:44Speaker 9: argo countries were and how we went into healthcare. And yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 9: the NHS is lovely. I'm very happy to to have that.
- 59:51Speaker 9: The next question, this is, this is to Donald Actually,
- 59:54Speaker 9: so Donald was now that Disney are going making films
- 59:59Speaker 9: pretty much around on Order the Law and the Explaining
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: Universe Star Wars for for many years to come. My
- 1:00:04Speaker 9: question is if you were to try and pitch yourself
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: in a lead role to Kathain Kennedy and pobably her
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: twin sisters at the same time, what kind of character
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: would you be? Like, what would you want to be?
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: What do you want to see yourself as in that universe?
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: Like, that's a great question. I would like to see
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: myself not necessarily as a moisture farmer.
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: But that's where you start at, That's where he starts out.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Well, that's how. That's how it always starts in some
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: form of farming, whether it be junk or or moisture.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: What is is a moisture farmer? A euphemism for something.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: No, So he lived on a planet that's dry as
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: fuck as a desert planet, and so Luke Skywalker and
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: his family, would you know farm atmosphere moisture from the atmosphere?
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Okay? I didn't know that.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh, that's how they got water and stuff like that.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: So what's your ide deal? Character Kathy Kennedy or her
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: twin sister who's punking you? They come to you and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: they're like, Donald, whatever you want. Who do you want
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to play in the universe?
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: I'd say to them, I'd look them dead in the
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: eye and I'd be like, I want to play the lead.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Okay, but who's the lead?
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Is it is? It doesn't, doesn't. I don't give a shit. No, no, no,
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: I want to play the lead.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: I'm surprised you don't have an answer from one. I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: want to supres there's not a character in mind, like.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: No, because there it's a universe, man, there's no real
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: there's no you know, anybody can be anything in the
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Star Wars universe. You know, I don't want to sit
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: here and be like I'd be a smuggler or I'd.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Be a well you do tend to like the Han
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: solo vibe, so maybe you'd like.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: To No, I like Tarys and Ford. What I really
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: you know, in watching Star Wars, the stories that really
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: speak to me are the everyday person. We get to
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: learn about all of these supernatural individuals and all these
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: people with these you know, crazy jobs and elite you know,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: you know, and have elite status in this gigantic galaxy.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: You know what I mean. That's what Star Wars is.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: I want to learn about the people that we don't see,
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: you know what I mean. That's more important to me, Like, uh,
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: you know not that No, broom Boy wasn't. I didn't
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: think broom Boy was important to me because at the
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: end he turned out to be a fucking superhero, you
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: know what I mean. It's like, oh, okay, so broom
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Boy is special because he can fucking make a broom
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: fly to his hand. That wasn't dope to me. What's
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: dope to me is learning about, you know, the characters
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: that don't have the force and are living everyday lives.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: And out of nowhere. This fucking these guys in the
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: white suit bust into wherever they're hanging out and shoot
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: up the place, and then they have to deal with
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: it from there. We never deal with that. All we
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: deal with is they come in, they shoot up the place.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: The aftermath is the rebel alliance fights them back. You
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: know what I mean, I don't care about all of
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: that stuff. Sold you what did you have?
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Kathy Kennedy called you and she's said, Hey, Donald, we'd
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: love you to be take this part. It's very exciting.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: You're going to be Chewbacca's cousin.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: No, I'd be like, no, I get out of you.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: You wouldn't you wouldn't. You wouldn't voice Chewbacca's cousin. What
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: if they're like, Donald will have a stuntman do the suit.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: You just have to.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: I've totally look absolutely if they asked.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Like Nicky and Mandalorian, you know, he's not easy to
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: do the voice.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: There's a little bit more to that though, you know
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: what I mean. That's that's Chewbacca just going.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: All right. What if you what if Chewbacca's cousin was
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: fluent in English.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: So Chewbacca's cousin has a speech impediment and can speak English.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Well, it's not an impediment, it's a what's the opposite
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: of impediment?
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: That's what it would be. It would be's the gifts
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: a speech gift? I get right?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Assume that Chewbacca just didn't know English.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: You're saying that he like totally knows English.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: He talked here all right, and and when he growls,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Han is like, oh, you stop complaining. Okay, So what
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Let's say that you're a Wookie but you have the
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: ability to articulate English and you can speak would you
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: do that?
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Sure? Why not?
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: There we go. I found him apart.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: But that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: in a Star Wars movie. Like I'm very excited to
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: see Lando's movie. Even though Lando is a part of
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: the lore and everything like that, he's not in all
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: the movies. He's only in three of them. You know
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: what I mean. You don't know much about him. You
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: know that he's a you know that he's a con
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: man and he you know, you know that he's a
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: hustler in this galaxy, and you know that he's going
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: to deal with people that don't involve the Empire, don't
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: involve Luke Skywalker and Princess Leah and Han solo. It's
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: a story. That's why the Mandalorian so dope, and that's
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: why everybody's loving a Mandalorian so much because it's not
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: the it's not the normal story, and they're not trying
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: to say there are only seventeen people in this universe,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: saying the universe is bigger.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Okay, well there's your answer. David and Zach same question.
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: I don't.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I would love to be in it, but I have
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: a feeling if if my agent called me and said, hey,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: you're not going to believe this. They want you to
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: be in the Star Wars universe, I'd say, listen, I
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: can't take this from my friend Donald Faison.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: No, if you did that, I'll kill you.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Could character African American?
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: Well, then I'd be like, yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: he's right, do that ship do that. Listen to what
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: Zach saying. But if you if they offered you, sincerely,
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: if you were offered a role in Star Wars and
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I would know and you said no because of me,
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: I would punch you in your face.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: I would say I would say listen, miss Kennedy, is
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: there a world where this character offered me could be
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: African American and have a giant rack of a bubble
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: buck and this would be.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: You right there, you right there, and this is why
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: we're best friends people, This is why we're best friends.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: And she called oyalty, she'd be loyal She's like, she's
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: a level.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: She's like, like, how big, like a shelf shelf, And
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: I'm like shelf shelf.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: And she's like, like, you could put a plate of
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: cookies on his ass, on the top of his ass
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: and eat off that ship, maybe put some milk on it,
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: and does he get the part of me.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: She's like, And then she's like, I don't know what
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: if she's like maybe if the character was like constantly
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: high and late to work.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: I'd be like yeah, yeah, s now, you make it
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: sound like I'm uninsured.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Oh no, you're great. All right, David, we gotta go,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: even though you're British and we love all things.
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: Thank you, Thank you so much.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: It's great.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: It's you're wearing I love your shirt.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Coming on to enjoy your employer, enjoy your drink, all right,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: see you guys. Show about Shalum hey Shaw abot shalum,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Hey shaw about you, but your butt, Chalm. Listen, it's
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: been a blast. I was thinking today, Donald, I thought
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: we could play the new bop by Charlotte Lawrence. I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: love it because it actually is a really good song.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I'm not just saying that because she's our pseudo niece.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: That is my niece. Man, She's not my pseudo niece.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: She is my niece. We just don't have the same blood.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Okay, Well, listen. For those of you who don't know,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence, the creative of our show, and Christa Miller
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: who played Jordan, have an amazing daughter named Charlotte Lawrence,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: and she has a really great singing career that's blowing up.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Her producer is Andrew Watt, who is like the current
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: biggest hit maker in the world. And she's got a
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: new song called slow Motion, and I'm about to talk
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: it up. Are you ready? Anything you want to say
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: to the listeners? Donald, before we wrap it up.
