- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:19Hey, friends.
- 0:20Thank you for tuning in.
- 0:21Fasten your seat belts.
- 0:22I have one of my dear friends from the left coast.
- 0:26One of the few Christians in Washington, no, I'm kidding.
- 0:28But anyway, Heidi St. John, Heidi St. John, we're going to catch up with her, talk about
- 0:32post-election stuff, and what do Christians need to do now?
- 0:36Heidi, welcome.
- 0:37Good to see you.
- 0:38Hey, it's good to see you.
- 0:40Thanks for having me.
- 0:41You're welcome, and you recently moved again, you're in your new house.
- 0:44There, I see a different background.
- 0:46Yes.
- 0:47Yeah, it's a different background.
- 0:48We're out here in the great state of Washington and the city of Camus, up on a mountain, so we
- 0:52love it up here.
- 0:53It's great.
- 0:54What happened with Washington state?
- 0:57Were there any ballot measures that I didn't keep track of what was going on there?
- 1:02Yeah, well, I think the big news out of Washington state is the Republican Party lost bigly, as
- 1:07Donald Trump would say.
- 1:09One of the few states, if you look at the, there was a map that went out on election night
- 1:15of these states in the country that had moved even a little bit to the right.
- 1:19Almost every state in the country moved a little bit to the right except for Washington
- 1:23state.
- 1:24And we've had a lot of problems here in Washington, and I think a lot of it can go back to leadership
- 1:29inside the Republican Party.
- 1:30There's been a lot of fracture in the party and a lack of unity.
- 1:34And we got to do better job of getting out the vote.
- 1:36I'm not, I'm not going to give up.
- 1:37You know, I think God puts us where He puts us because we're supposed to be salt and light.
- 1:41But it was disappointing.
- 1:42We have one of the most left-leaning governors in the nation now.
- 1:47Bob Ferguson was elected to replace Jay Inzley, who's a terrible governor.
- 1:51And this is, this is true right across the board.
- 1:55We voted to keep our tax high.
- 1:57We voted to keep one of the most radical climate change tax initiatives in place because
- 2:02the messaging that comes from the radical left is really, really convincing.
- 2:07They convinced people that if we don't do what they want us to do, that our, our plan
- 2:11is going to die, the public schools are going to go bankrupt, mothers can't feed their children.
- 2:15So absolutely, we need this climate change tax.
- 2:18And so the people of Washington State, largely in the big cities like Seattle, voted for
- 2:23that.
- 2:24And so now we've got a very high tax rate.
- 2:25I think we had maybe one or two wins, but overall, pretty big losses here in Washington
- 2:30State.
- 2:31Well, let's go back a little bit for those of you maybe that don't know about you and
- 2:35your ministry and you're getting off the bench and into the game.
- 2:39You ran for Congress and it was a close race and they basically outspent you.
- 2:46And I know you shared in the past together when we talked about that experience.
- 2:50How do you feel about how the overall national election went and maybe do you have any insights
- 2:54from your experience that you can share because I mean, Ted Cruz's race in Texas, billions
- 3:00of dollars were spent and it's just in a way it's sad and disheartening that so much money.
- 3:06And sometimes it comes down to who has the most money, which I think a lot of Americans
- 3:09don't like.
- 3:10Just share your thoughts on that.
- 3:12Well, I agree with you.
- 3:13I think most Americans don't like it and they shouldn't like it.
- 3:16Elections should not be about money, but unfortunately they are about money in many
- 3:19cases.
- 3:20It costs a lot of money to take out ads.
- 3:22It costs a lot of money.
- 3:23Those little mailers, those giant, glossy mailers that everybody gets in their mailbox
- 3:27and they'll 15 of them a day.
- 3:29Those are millions and millions and millions of dollars.
- 3:33And the left in this country has a lot of money to throw out these campaigns because politics
- 3:37is a religion to the left.
- 3:39I would love to see campaign finance reform.
- 3:42I would love to see real campaign reform where candidates have a limit.
- 3:47You raise two million dollars and there you go.
- 3:49That's your limit.
- 3:50That's all you get to spend.
- 3:51But there's a lot of dark money that comes in at the end of these races.
- 3:54A lot of times people don't know where it comes from.
- 3:56But the reality is it costs a lot of money to run.
- 4:00And I'd like to see that change.
- 4:01There are so many things that I would like to see change when it comes to running for
- 4:05office right now, but we're going to have to wait until the next election cycle comes
- 4:09around.
- 4:10Frankly, I'm ready for a break from the yard signs and the mailers and all the things.
- 4:14But I'm a huge fan of campaign finance reform.
- 4:18And I think the American people by and large would like to see the same thing.
- 4:21Amen.
- 4:22So what's your take on the overall results?
- 4:27I was very surprised, not shocked but very surprised because we would never know the
- 4:33outcome was going to be what it turned out to be from the media and from the hype from
- 4:37Hollywood and all the, I mean, the Swifties didn't even make a difference.
- 4:41You know, Taylor Swift and her gang and the pro-abortion Marxist celebrities, you know, supporting
- 4:48the left and Harris, what was your, well, overall take on when the results were coming
- 4:55in?
- 4:56Because I was actually quite frankly shocked that we had so much on the first on election
- 5:00night.
- 5:01Yeah, I mean, I think what we just learned is that the American people really want to
- 5:05go back to normal.
- 5:06I think that they're really sick of the radical left.
- 5:09Yeah, whatever normal, right?
- 5:11We want, we, you know, most people know that there are only two genders.
- 5:15Most people know that this transgender ideology that they're shoving down our kids'
- 5:18throats in the schools and on every magazine cover in the Walmart grocery check out stand.
- 5:24We all know that that's garbage.
- 5:25People are sick of it.
- 5:26Turns out Hispanics came out to vote for Donald Trump.
- 5:29In record numbers, what over 45% of the Hispanic vote went to Trump.
- 5:34This is the first time this has ever happened in American history.
- 5:37We saw 22% of black men voting for Donald Trump.
- 5:40It turns out the Hispanics hate what's happening on the southern border.
- 5:44They want people to come across legally too.
- 5:45They came away from the cartels.
- 5:47They don't want the cartels following them into the United States.
- 5:51So while the, the legacy media was screaming and yelling about this, I think what we saw
- 5:56was that most people in this country want to pursue the American dream.
- 6:00They want to have safer schools.
- 6:02They want to have a closed border.
- 6:04They want to have economic prosperity.
- 6:06They want to be able to fund their dreams, right?
- 6:10And they know that the Democrat Party is the party of tax and spent higher taxes.
- 6:14And we're spending, I mean, they've got Kamala Harris on, on a camera talking about
- 6:19using taxpayer money to fund sex changes for inmates.
- 6:22I think people are sick of that garbage.
- 6:24And we saw it play out in real time in the election this year.
- 6:28And I for one, I'm just praising the Lord over it.
- 6:30We were praying, David, I know you were too, that it would just be a blowout.
- 6:35That we would know on election night, you know, I was like, Lord, I'm praying for fairness
- 6:40in the election.
- 6:41I wanted there to be transparency.
- 6:43We wanted there to be, it to be so decisive on election night that there couldn't be any
- 6:47of the shenanigans that we saw happen in 2020.
- 6:50And I think the Lord had answered that prayer.
- 6:53He chose mercy over judgment in this nation.
- 6:55And frankly, we, you know, we arrived for judgment.
- 6:59We were, you know, I wouldn't blame God one minute if he decided, nope, I'm done.
- 7:04And we saw that in the abortion argument too.
- 7:06That was Kamala Harris's, you know, that was her big platform.
- 7:10She ran on killing unborn babies.
- 7:13And unfortunately, we did see in many of the states, and I'm absolutely true in Missouri,
- 7:18heart breaking loss for amendment three there, heart breaking losses in the state of California.
- 7:24But we saw big wins.
- 7:25We saw a big win for life in Florida because Florida has a governor that went to bat for
- 7:29the unborn.
- 7:31And we need to see more governors like Rhonda Santis, who have, you know, had the ability
- 7:37to lead their people and make a case for life.
- 7:40Rhonda Santis did that.
- 7:41So we saw life winning in Florida.
- 7:44But we also saw that people are hanging on pretty tightly to their, their ability to
- 7:49murder unborn children in this country.
- 7:51That to me is heart breaking.
- 7:53And I'd like to see it change.
- 7:54And I think we, we've got the opportunity to make the case.
- 7:56I for when would like to see people like listen, if, if the United States is going to be
- 8:00an abortion country, and we're going to enshrine abortion rights into our state constitutions,
- 8:05let's then see what we're doing.
- 8:07Let's teach our young people.
- 8:09This is what we're doing and I, and this is what an abortion is.
- 8:12We voted for it.
- 8:13We love this in the country.
- 8:15Here's a third trimester abortion.
- 8:16Here's a second trimester abortion.
- 8:18Here's a DNC.
- 8:19Here's what it means to do a saline abortion.
- 8:22Here's what it looks like when we inject hijoxin into the heart of an unborn baby.
- 8:26We should show that stuff to people.
- 8:28If they want, if this is what we're voting for, let's at least know what we're voting
- 8:31for.
- 8:32Years ago, 10, 15 years ago, I'll never forget this quote by, he's a Catholic priest, father
- 8:38Frank Pavone.
- 8:39Very active.
- 8:40I know father Frank.
- 8:41Yes.
- 8:42I'll never forget.
- 8:43He said, America will never resist abortion until America sees abortion.
- 8:51Yes.
- 8:52And so he was saying, put it out there, people don't know what it is.
- 8:56It's just right now, it's just this thing that the left convinced, I guess, too many people
- 9:00that it's just a choice or it's not a living, growing, developing human being, human
- 9:05baby in a mother's womb because that's what the Bible refers to.
- 9:09The baby leapt in the womb and all this, God knows us from before we were born.
- 9:15But he said that, and I thought, you're right, and there are groups that go out and do
- 9:19that.
- 9:20Missionaries to the preborn is one of them, Matt Trewella, Pastor Matt Trewella in Wisconsin.
- 9:25He goes out there to have the big signs, they show what happens, and it's offensive to
- 9:29a lot of people.
- 9:30Yes.
- 9:31But this is what they're doing.
- 9:32Go ahead, Heidi.
- 9:33Yes.
- 9:34I think it's right.
- 9:35It is offensive.
- 9:36And I love the videos that live action does, where they go out on street corners in Manhattan.
- 9:41And they ask people, are you pro-life or pro-choice, and they'll say pro-choice, will have you
- 9:45ever seen a second trimester abortion?
- 9:48You know, they'll say, did you know that abortion is legal in this state, you know, up to whatever
- 9:51many weeks, 24 weeks or whatever it was?
- 9:54And usually when people see it, their minds are changed.
- 9:58They know inherently that it's wrong.
- 10:01And so I agree, I agree with my friend Seth Gruber, who heads up the White Rose Resistance.
- 10:07We have to do a better job of educating people about abortion.
- 10:11And what we saw go down in the state of Missouri, for example, absolutely heartbreaking.
- 10:16They tied in shining abortion into their state constitution with parental rights.
- 10:21The right for young people to demand sex change operations and cross-sex hormones and
- 10:27castration and mutilation and all these things.
- 10:30And if parents in Missouri don't agree with it, they can be prosecuted there.
- 10:34So they have tied the abortion argument to a parental rights argument, both of these
- 10:40things are evil.
- 10:41It is evil to kill an unborn child.
- 10:43It is evil to put a young child on cross-sex hormones and give mastectomies to 14-year-old
- 10:49girls.
- 10:50It's evil.
- 10:51And the church has a role to play.
- 10:53We continue to have a role to play.
- 10:54And I think because Donald Trump is in the White House, it sounds to me on the very first
- 10:58day that he has an office.
- 11:00He is going to demand a stop to all federal funding for gender affirming, so-called gender
- 11:06affirming care and for educating children that somehow their gender is malleable, they
- 11:12can change their gender.
- 11:13We know that this is factually impossible.
- 11:16You can't change your gender.
- 11:17And so I'd like to see the country go back to treating gender dysphoria as a mental illness.
- 11:21It's always been, up until about five minutes ago, always categorizes a mental illness.
- 11:27And to me, this is akin to saying that we see anorexia and the same light.
- 11:31Oh, you look in the mirror and you see, you know, 400-pound women, but you're 87-pound
- 11:35soak and wet.
- 11:36But go ahead and we'll help you starve yourself.
- 11:39That's effectively what we're doing to these young people when they say they feel like
- 11:42they're born in the wrong body and we affirm it and take them down this radical leftist
- 11:48insanity.
- 11:49And then they can't recover from it.
- 11:51We're doing a reputable harm, as Priscilla Shire says.
- 11:54And I think it's time for us to talk about it.
- 11:57Amen.
- 11:58And we are.
- 11:59A lot of people are finally maybe too late for some.
- 12:02But Heidi, do you think we're used to our prize with, we're going to get to the media
- 12:07after we take our break in the second half of the podcast and talk about a few of the
- 12:11articles and just the news coverage on the Democrats versus Republicans, Trump versus
- 12:16Harris.
- 12:18I'm thinking we have Hollywood and the big celebrity voices endorsing Kamala Harris
- 12:26and the left we have sports athletes, you know, NFL and NBA.
- 12:34We've got of course corporations and everything.
- 12:38And the media of course doesn't really give a voice to Christians like a fair voice
- 12:43anyway.
- 12:44So they're always pushing one side.
- 12:47Are you, isn't it surprising that it was such, it was such a victorious outcome for conservatism,
- 12:58for Christian principles, for the pro-America, for Trump and also in other states where,
- 13:04I mean, the Senate, you know, everything looked really good.
- 13:08But you would never know that leading up to it.
- 13:11We were bombarded by the left and on every front, every major institution, the education
- 13:16system, just your thoughts on that before we move on.
- 13:19Well, I think we learned something.
- 13:21We learned that it doesn't really matter if you've got Beyonce and Cardi B, you know,
- 13:26act like a weirdo whack-a-doo at your, you know, at your rallies.
- 13:30And if you're bringing in celebrities from Hollywood, I think the American people are
- 13:33absolutely fed up with this garbage.
- 13:35They understand that the lies that we've just lived through, I mean Joe Biden has taken
- 13:40this country to the brink of ruin.
- 13:43We are circling the drain.
- 13:44And people feel it in their pocketbooks.
- 13:46They feel it when they're trying to buy a house.
- 13:48They feel it when they pick up a newspaper and they've got to like close it, not show
- 13:52what's on the cover of a newspaper.
- 13:54They're five-year-old kid because it's such a blatant lie.
- 13:57I think people are sick and tired of it as it turns out.
- 14:01Most people still really do want the American dream.
- 14:04And no amount of Kamala Harris's word salad was going to change anyone's mind.
- 14:10And the American people loudly on election night, you know, Ben Shapiro, I know this is
- 14:15a Christian show.
- 14:16And Ben Shapiro said that basically the United States voter gave the liberal media and
- 14:23the far left in this country a double-fisted, you know what, they were just like, we're
- 14:28done.
- 14:29Like, we're super tired, we're tired of being lied to.
- 14:32And we know now that we're being lied to, right?
- 14:34And so we saw it.
- 14:36I think it played out exactly how a lot of people in conservative media hoped it would.
- 14:42But people like me, I mean, I was very, very tense and pensive going into election night.
- 14:47I thought this is either going to be a huge win for our country or this is going to be
- 14:52a disaster.
- 14:54And I think that we have an opportunity now.
- 14:56We have an opportunity to put our hand to the plow and do the hard work that needs to
- 15:02be done to bring this nation back into alignment with the values that made us the greatest
- 15:07nation on the face of the earth.
- 15:08God's given us a four-year reprieve.
- 15:10I hope we don't waste it.
- 15:11Yeah, you said we're circling the drain.
- 15:13One election will not remove or erase decades and decades of moral decay and bad policy
- 15:20and corruption and Marxism, cultural Marxism.
- 15:24And anyway, we've got to take a brief pause.
- 15:26We're with Heidi St. John.
- 15:27Heidi St. John.
- 15:28When we come back, she said something before we got on the podcast that Christians have
- 15:35more work to do now.
- 15:38That's next on World View Matters.
- 15:40Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily.
- 15:44World News Bidlically Understood.
- 15:46Stay informed at harbingerstaley.com.
- 15:58So friends, follow us on rumble.
- 15:59If you can, if you haven't yet, it's growing thanks to you, and also you can download
- 16:03the free and free as good, Freedom Project Media app for your iPhone.
- 16:09So Heidi St. John is with us.
- 16:11You've got something coming up in January, a women's advance conference.
- 16:14You're going to California for that.
- 16:16And then in actually next week, Heidi, you're going to be in Asheville, North Carolina.
- 16:21The national Bible B, you're going to be moderating that.
- 16:23Tell us about a few events you have coming up.
- 16:26Yeah, well, this will be my first time moderating the Bible B.
- 16:28I'm actually really looking forward to it.
- 16:30And they moved it from Asheville because of the hurricane.
- 16:33So we're actually going to be in Orlando this year.
- 16:36But I will be hosting with my friends, David and Jason Benham, lots and lots of kids,
- 16:40you know, several hundred kids from all over the country are coming who have done a lot
- 16:45of really hard work.
- 16:47There are hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line to give out huge prizes for the
- 16:51work that these kids do in memorizing large swabs of scripture and these kids.
- 16:55This is like the Olympics of Bible memorization.
- 16:58So I'm really excited.
- 16:59Love the work of the Bible B. These kids are not, you know, trying to memorize, you know,
- 17:04words for a spelling bee.
- 17:05They're memorizing God's word.
- 17:06They're hiding God's word in their heart.
- 17:08And this is an opportunity to say to recognize the hard work they're doing and have some
- 17:13fun at the same time.
- 17:14So I'm really looking forward to it.
- 17:15Tell us about faith that speaks.
- 17:18People can find that link over on your website.
- 17:21Yeah.
- 17:22So for about eight years, I have been writing a Bible study every month and I do them all,
- 17:26I do them only a month in advance.
- 17:28And the reason I do it that way is because we want to talk about the things that are happening
- 17:33in the culture in real time.
- 17:35And so we teach women to use the word of God to go not only as a defensive weapon, but
- 17:41also to go on offense.
- 17:43And that has been really important, I think, in the last several years, especially.
- 17:47So if something happens, if there's breaking news and it happens to be theological
- 17:51nature, which let's be honest, most of it is, then we're going to address it in the
- 17:54Bible say.
- 17:55So like, for example, last month, I did a study called kingdom culture.
- 17:59What does it mean to bring heaven to earth?
- 18:02What is the role of God's people in the culture?
- 18:04We're called to be in every sphere of influence.
- 18:06And just a couple of days ago, a new study's dropped the first Monday of every month.
- 18:11So last week, we dropped a study called kingdom currency.
- 18:16What is the currency of the kingdom?
- 18:17It's relationships, right?
- 18:19It's the most important relationship that we will ever have is the relationship with
- 18:22the one who made us.
- 18:23So God made us for a relationship with Him and also with other people.
- 18:27So we're touching on relationship.
- 18:29What does it look like to have influence where we live?
- 18:32And it's exciting.
- 18:33So people can find out more about that by going to faith.speaks.com.
- 18:37And I teach live every Tuesday there.
- 18:41Now going back to leading up to the election, you were doing a prayer, a Zoom link, a Zoom
- 18:47meeting, prayer group thing, getting believers to pray from October 15th to November 8th.
- 18:54Tell us about that.
- 18:55I think a lot of believers sensed the need to really pray for America with everything
- 19:03that was going on in the decline and all the chaos.
- 19:06And the threats to our First Amendment, the biblical worldview, go ahead and just share
- 19:11because I mean, I think prayer really helped believers that were praying really helped
- 19:15the results, I believe.
- 19:16Oh, I think that was the thing.
- 19:19I mean, people would say, oh, you know, we, you know, we're such amazing campaigning.
- 19:23I think the Lord had mercy on us.
- 19:25I think he heard our prayers.
- 19:27The Bible is so clear on the power of prayer, right?
- 19:29The book of James says that the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
- 19:33We know that when we, that when we talk to God, the Psalm says that he inclines his ear,
- 19:37he literally bends down to listen.
- 19:40The Bible says that he catches our tears in a bottle that are suffering matters to the Lord.
- 19:45And so we spent three weeks every weekday from 8 a.m. to about 820 praying with hundreds
- 19:50of people from around the country.
- 19:52And we were asking the Lord for mercy, basically, we were saying, Lord, listen, your
- 19:57word says, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and
- 20:01turn from their sin that you'll hear from heaven, hear our prayer and forgive our sin
- 20:04and heal our land.
- 20:05And that is what we need.
- 20:07We need a move of God.
- 20:08And I think that we need to pray like God answers prayer, like he's a big God and he can
- 20:14do it.
- 20:15This is the same God that spoke the world into being that part of the Red Sea.
- 20:19Most of us, David, you and I have lived long enough now to have seen God do amazing things.
- 20:23And we need to ask God to do the big things.
- 20:26It was a big thing to win an election in such a spectacular way.
- 20:31And I think that we now, you know, we, we, we praise the Lord.
- 20:35I wish you could have seen my house.
- 20:37I had about 30 people here on election night.
- 20:40A lot of people from my congressional campaign.
- 20:42And we would stop about every hour and a half and we would just sing and praise the Lord.
- 20:47And we prayed and we asked the Lord for victory.
- 20:50And we watched him do it.
- 20:51And I think in 2020, God's people got lazy.
- 20:54We just decided, you know, I think, I mean, I got kind of lazy in 2020.
- 20:57I was like, nobody's going to vote for the dead guy in his basement who never came out
- 21:01to campaign.
- 21:03And I think, I think God's people were just kind of ambivalent and look where our ambivalence
- 21:08got us.
- 21:09We can never make that mistake again.
- 21:11We always need God's help.
- 21:12We always need His guidance.
- 21:14And I think prayer probably played the most important part in the election result that
- 21:18we just saw.
- 21:19I think it convicted a lot of believers who maybe had not been voting.
- 21:23I think that helped getting more true believers out to the polls.
- 21:27I want to thank you for your newsletter.
- 21:29You put out a couple days before the election or whatever.
- 21:31It might have been actually the morning of, I think, and since a lot of scriptures out
- 21:36to Psalm 31, 24, Galatians 6, 9, Romans 12, 12, and you said here, we have to have perspective.
- 21:44But let's talk about the media.
- 21:45We're all running out of time.
- 21:46Six minutes left with Heidi St. John.
- 21:49It's official.
- 21:50The 2024 campaign news coverage was the worst ever.
- 21:54And it was, it was awful.
- 21:56It was almost 80% positive coverage for Kamala Harris and the Democrats.
- 22:03And compared to 15% positive coverage to Republicans, GOP, they've been in the 90s,
- 22:10negative against Trump, negative news coverage.
- 22:13So Heidi, even with that, I mean, God still pulled it off, so to speak, assuming we know
- 22:20that he is sovereign and he still worked.
- 22:23But just your thoughts on this, how I don't know how people can trust the media.
- 22:27In fact, there is a recent Gallup poll.
- 22:32There's a record low for trust in the media for the third straight year, no surprise.
- 22:37But you're just your thoughts on this, what we're talking about now.
- 22:40And I've got some more a couple of points from the article, but go ahead and just share
- 22:43your thoughts on the media and how it's just really sad that we can't get the truth
- 22:48from them any longer.
- 22:49Well, I mean, I think we just learned that the age, the legacy media, and the United
- 22:54States is over.
- 22:56People are waking up.
- 22:57And now we've got so many other alternative places to get our news.
- 23:00You know, I get my news from the Daily Wire, I watch PJ Media.
- 23:05You know, I don't, I'm not sitting there on Fox News like I was, you know, eight, nine
- 23:08years ago.
- 23:10We recognize now that these news outlets have a bias and we, we're not just getting straight
- 23:15news.
- 23:16I mean, long gone are the Walter Cronkites of the world where we could just sit in front
- 23:18of the, front of the news and just hear the news.
- 23:21Now we have to hear it with incredible bias.
- 23:24And I think the American people by and large are sick and tired of it and they voted
- 23:27accordingly.
- 23:28So even though the mainstream media was 90% for Kamala Harris, even though they pushed
- 23:32out all kinds of stories, telling us how amazing she was, even though she'd done literally
- 23:36nothing to earn, even to earn the right to run for president of the United States, they
- 23:41trotted her out right after they pushed Joe Biden off the back of the bus and instead
- 23:46of dragging his corpse out in front of the American people anymore every day, they decided
- 23:50well, we're going to, we're going to pull Kamala Harris out.
- 23:52And immediately we saw the lame stream media shift from talking about how she was so unpopular
- 23:58and people just could not stand her to she's the best thing since sliced bread.
- 24:01She's going to be the first female American president and you could almost hear the collective
- 24:06grown from people in the United States.
- 24:09They don't, they don't buy it anymore.
- 24:11And I think you know, now they're getting their news from Twitter and now they're getting
- 24:15their news from, you know, from, from people who are just independent journalists and
- 24:21they don't trust the legacy media anymore.
- 24:23I think the golden age of the legacy media in this country and around the world frankly
- 24:27is over.
- 24:28Thank God.
- 24:29So we've got less, we've got about three minutes left Heidi and what I shared earlier is
- 24:34what you said before we got on the podcast today that Christians have more work to do
- 24:40now.
- 24:41What did you mean by that?
- 24:42What do believers and we're not just working to the next election.
- 24:46We've got to preach the gospel.
- 24:47We've got to get people say we've got to restrain evil, point out the wickedness, the deeds
- 24:53of darkness expose them.
- 24:54What the left is doing in the public schools.
- 24:57So what can we do with the remaining time we have for as long as God has us here?
- 25:02Well, we're, you just said it.
- 25:04We're called to be salt in light.
- 25:05We should be a force for good in the country, you know, and I think for so long we, we
- 25:10kind of hide between the, you know, back behind the four walls of our churches and we
- 25:13go to our potlucks on Sunday night.
- 25:15And it's really easy to be a Christian at a wana, right?
- 25:18It's really, it's really easy to be a Christian when you're going to church.
- 25:21It's a lot harder when you're on the subway in a downtown Manhattan.
- 25:24It's a lot harder here in the Pacific Northwest when you're trying to, when you're trying
- 25:28to bring attention to what's happening to children in the name of woke ideology in our
- 25:34public schools.
- 25:35But that is exactly where God calls us.
- 25:37For example, when we pray, we should not be praying just to say, thank you Lord for
- 25:40what you've done and to worship him.
- 25:42We pray because we, we're asking him for instruction.
- 25:45God, we're here.
- 25:46What do you want us to do?
- 25:47And the Lord has given us a four year reprieve.
- 25:51I just saw Donald Trump just last week announced that on his very first day in office, he's
- 25:56going to be repealing a lot of the disastrous things that Joe Biden has put in place that
- 26:00are hurting our children.
- 26:01For example, in the name of gender ideology, Christians should have a voice in that.
- 26:05This is not time for us to sit back on our laurels.
- 26:08This is time that God's given us some high ground right now.
- 26:10I say we continue to take it.
- 26:12And we don't let up off the gas like we did in 2016 and instead we say, Father, how can
- 26:17we advance the cause of righteousness?
- 26:19How can we be a force for good in the country?
- 26:21And we, and we wait and we see what the instructions will be.
- 26:25We know that God has us to be salt and light.
- 26:27Salt is a preservative, right?
- 26:28We should be preserving what is good, light to shine a light into the shadows and into
- 26:32the darkness.
- 26:33That is the role of a Christian in the culture.
- 26:35That's right.
- 26:36And some of us, like yourself, live in very dark blue, but in darkness and in states where
- 26:43there's not a lot of Christian light, Christian influence.
- 26:46But yet God places us strategically, I think, under how God orchestrates everything, right?
- 26:51We're here for a time as this.
- 26:53Heidi, I just want to encourage people to connect with you over on Facebook.
- 26:57Check out Heidi St. John.
- 27:00Just take 30 seconds and just encourage people that are kind of relieved after the election
- 27:05last week.
- 27:06And now we're going, OK, we're going forward.
- 27:08But don't stop whatever momentum or work for God you're doing.
- 27:12But please encourage them in just the last 30 seconds here.
- 27:16I think one of the big opportunities we have right now is to show the left in this
- 27:20country, especially our young people who have been indoctrinated almost to death by left
- 27:24decided algae who think that Donald Trump is literally Hitler and he's going to put alarms
- 27:28on the ankles of pregnant women to monitor their pregnancies instead of building walls
- 27:32around these people and tearing them down, extend a hand and build them up because we can
- 27:39still be ambassadors.
- 27:40And I think we can bring people over on to our side.
- 27:42Amen.
- 27:43And ask good questions, have conversations with them, love our neighbors, right?
- 27:47Heidi, thanks for your time.
- 27:48Great to see you.
- 27:49Thanks for having me.
- 27:50I appreciate it.
- 27:51All right.
- 27:52God bless you guys.
- 27:53Thanks for sharing the podcast and keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
