- 0:03Speaker 1: What's up, everybody, and welcome to JFK Book Reviews, the
- 0:06Speaker 1: division of the loneom and Podcast. Just for our lovely members,
- 0:11Speaker 1: it is I the Triple Bezy, along with Italia Joe
- 0:22Speaker 1: the Joe Beazy.
- 0:24Speaker 2: From it The Leazy.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Uh.
- 0:26Speaker 1: You can tell by the charming fresco behind his head
- 0:29Speaker 1: he is not in the confines of his Connecticut basement.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Tonight's yes, No, I'm not editing that out later. Okay,
- 0:42Speaker 2: that's okay. Today we were going to.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Be reviewing a book written by an author who unsurreptitiously
- 0:55Speaker 1: requested to be reviewed. So I looked into it and
- 1:03Speaker 1: I said, hmm, this book was recently published in twenty
- 1:07Speaker 1: twenty four, so.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Let's give it a shot. I looked it.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Up on Amazon. It was a buck ninety nine joe
- 1:19Speaker 1: for hardcover. You can't beat it. It's called The Final Trigger,
- 1:25Speaker 1: The Truth and Lies of the JFK Assassination, written by
- 1:31Speaker 1: Randall Wendell. Randall Wendell. Now there are some SUSS dudes
- 1:39Speaker 1: on the cover of this here book, namely one E
- 1:43Speaker 1: Howard Hunt and one Alan Dulls.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yes, but we'll get there. I promise.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The Final Trigger it's it's healthy.
- 1:56Speaker 4: I was about to say, give it a smack for me.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's healthy. Slim thick is what we call him
- 2:03Speaker 1: down here down South, slim thick, deceptively thick.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I respect that.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So tell us a little bit.
- 2:13Speaker 1: More about this here book, Joe, if you would please, sir.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Sure, As you mentioned, it was written by Randall Wendell,
- 2:23Speaker 4: published by Penn and Sword History, which is out of
- 2:28Speaker 4: South Yorkshire or Yorkshire, one of those two.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Or Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Pudden.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And I think the hardcover was published in February twenty
- 2:45Speaker 4: twenty five, like two months later, and it's about three
- 2:51Speaker 4: hundred pages depending on your copy. And like you mentioned,
- 2:56Speaker 4: on Amazon used copies are as of today you can
- 3:03Speaker 4: get the hardcover for two dollars and seventy eight cents,
- 3:07Speaker 4: which is pretty.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Much new copy, yes apparently yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 4: And kindle edition is sixteen ninety nine. There are eleven
- 3:24Speaker 4: chapters with an acknowledgement section, a bibliography section, footnotes by
- 3:31Speaker 4: chapters which we always love, and an index as well.
- 3:36Speaker 5: And I'd say this book is mostly has a historical
- 3:44Speaker 5: but slight conspiracy lean because the author doesn't go out of.
- 3:49Speaker 4: This way to take stances kind of just puts out
- 3:54Speaker 4: some of the facts. So with that, I'll let you
- 3:57Speaker 4: do the meat and potatoes.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: When I got it, it must have been on sale. It
- 4:04Speaker 1: went up from one ninety nine to two seventy eight,
- 4:08Speaker 1: which is ninety two percent off. It's a hell of
- 4:12Speaker 1: a deal. Is it worth it? Short answer, I would say, yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I can't beat that cheap of a price for a hardcover,
- 4:26Speaker 1: hardcover book, Joe.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Now the copy I got.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Especially if you're an Amazon Prime member, Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I am. Yeah, I to you almost have to be
- 4:40Speaker 2: uh these days.
- 4:42Speaker 1: But the copy I have was published in England. It
- 4:45Speaker 1: is a British copy.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Uh.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I must say I was definitely skeptical when I
- 4:56Speaker 1: got the book. I was like, oh Lord. And that
- 5:01Speaker 1: just comes from the cover, you know. I see Howard Hunting,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I see Alan Dulles, and I say, oh shit, here
- 5:07Speaker 1: we go.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah, Now, there is a little bit of that in
- 5:14Speaker 1: this book, Joe. He does go through the deathbed confession
- 5:18Speaker 1: of the Howard hunt the Tramp's allegations. That's what Saint
- 5:23Speaker 1: John Hunt, his son, had to say about the matter.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And of course, there you know, is Alan Dulla's suspect sure,
- 5:33Speaker 1: of course he is, we'll see the mastermind of the assassination.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Probably not, And that's not what he asserts in this book.
- 5:43Speaker 1: In fact, there are very few assertions that the author
- 5:52Speaker 1: decides to stand behind in this book. It's more like
- 6:00Speaker 1: it's almost like a primer Joe for the assassination for
- 6:03Speaker 1: somebody who doesn't know much but wants a broad spectrum view.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Of everything overview.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, of which this book does a good job.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And it does touch on a little bit of things
- 6:23Speaker 1: from what BOUGLIOSI may have said about something or or
- 6:30Speaker 1: like that. It's just not strictly all conspiracy on it's
- 6:37Speaker 1: like ninety two percent conspiracy, you.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Know what I'm saying.
- 6:39Speaker 1: There's a little bit of antagonization thrown in, and the
- 6:46Speaker 1: book starts off kind of setting the table for I
- 6:56Speaker 1: guess the environment of the time, you know, the Cold
- 6:59Speaker 1: War era, Yeah, the Cold War era, the politics, and
- 7:04Speaker 1: you know, the back door strategies and the chess maneuvering
- 7:08Speaker 1: of of everything. And then he kind of goes into
- 7:11Speaker 1: John F. Kennedy's life, even prints in here his favorite
- 7:15Speaker 1: John F. Kennedy's speech, and he does reproduce some interesting
- 7:21Speaker 1: interviews in this book with Urini Sanco, Marina Oswald during
- 7:26Speaker 1: the Garrison case, things like that, and of course he
- 7:31Speaker 1: goes into Lee Harvey Oswall's Russian defection. He does talk
- 7:37Speaker 1: about General Walker. He does have like William Duff's I
- 7:43Speaker 1: Detect Her Test in here.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's cool.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And he does touch on Lee Harvey Oswald the militant
- 7:53Speaker 1: and you know, his Marxist beliefs and the fair play
- 7:56Speaker 1: for Cuba connections and all of that, and and also
- 8:01Speaker 1: kind of in there touches on Mexico City. Now there's
- 8:05Speaker 1: not a chapter in here devoted strictly to Mexico City,
- 8:08Speaker 1: although there should be. He does touch on it very slightly.
- 8:17Speaker 1: He definitely goes into the Parkland in Bethesda issues, you know.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And there was something in here that I didn't know.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I didn't know that there was three fragments of the
- 8:30Speaker 1: President's brain found. You know, we've all heard about the
- 8:34Speaker 1: Harper fragment, right, and there's actually another piece called the
- 8:40Speaker 1: Delta fragment, which is allegedly the piece that Jackie Kennedy
- 8:45Speaker 1: was crawling on the trunk four. And of course there's
- 8:50Speaker 1: the Harper fragment, and then there's something called the Whitzman fragment,
- 8:57Speaker 1: so pretty interesting stuff there. He does touch on the JD.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Tippett murder and all the different scenarios there, although it
- 9:08Speaker 1: doesn't go into great detail, it definitely could have been
- 9:14Speaker 1: a longer chapter.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It was three or four pages for the Tippet murder.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Then he goes into the capture of Oswald, his final
- 9:27Speaker 1: hours and interrogations. He talks about Jack Ruby and all
- 9:34Speaker 1: his supposed connections and possible motives, even goes into uh,
- 9:40Speaker 1: Dorothy Kilgallon a little bit.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Uh.
- 9:43Speaker 1: He touches on Jolly and West and I'm interviewing Jack
- 9:52Speaker 1: Ruby and things like that that are relatively newer, so
- 9:56Speaker 1: definitely good addition for that. And then of course his
- 10:00Speaker 1: last chapter kind of sums up the book and talks
- 10:06Speaker 1: about the truth and lies of the JFK assassination. And
- 10:10Speaker 1: also in the middle of this book, Joe, there is
- 10:15Speaker 1: a glossy pages section. Yeah, and we get some pictures.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I believe it about twenty.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there's quite a few in here, and pages. You know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: they're very good in quality. You know, you got Oswald
- 10:35Speaker 1: and the Marines shooting his rifle, Marina and her sweet
- 10:38Speaker 1: tits with no Brawlong unburdened. Yes, yes, good lord, there's
- 10:47Speaker 1: a JFK and Jackie getting married, and there's the great
- 10:54Speaker 1: picture of David.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Serry Civil Air Patrol.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, nuts to butts as only David Ferry likes it.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And and there's many many more, many many more. So
- 11:09Speaker 1: with that being said, Joe, uh, tell us what you
- 11:13Speaker 1: thought about it and give us your ratings there.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Yeah. I I liked how he kind of set the
- 11:20Speaker 4: table with you know, the the Cold War era and
- 11:26Speaker 4: the Cuba of missile crisis. Because you know, if you're
- 11:30Speaker 4: listening to this and you remember where you listen to
- 11:33Speaker 4: it later, uh, you know, I believe all roads lead
- 11:37Speaker 4: back to Cuba, and I I like how he just
- 11:43Speaker 4: gave a lot of context and a lot of these
- 11:45Speaker 4: different areas, you know, I you know, I would have
- 11:49Speaker 4: probably liked some more ah content on tipp It per se,
- 11:56Speaker 4: because you know, you can't sum up the tipp it
- 11:58Speaker 4: in four pages or maybe even four hundred pages. But
- 12:05Speaker 4: I think it's a very good book for like the
- 12:14Speaker 4: person people that are interested in history that might not
- 12:17Speaker 4: know about the assassination, right that that want like a
- 12:20Speaker 4: great over a good overview of of of everything that
- 12:25Speaker 4: that led up to the Kennedy assassination and some of
- 12:29Speaker 4: the things that happened in the aftermath and and the
- 12:32Speaker 4: cover up. And you know, I I I think it's
- 12:43Speaker 4: a pretty strong book. I think, you know, he doesn't
- 12:50Speaker 4: really take a definitive position on on a lot of things,
- 12:56Speaker 4: which is okay. He just gives a lot of facts
- 12:58Speaker 4: out and if that gets it's probably not a book
- 13:04Speaker 4: for you know, people that are members of our channel
- 13:07Speaker 4: that know many of these things. But like you mentioned,
- 13:11Speaker 4: there are some tidbits in there that are interesting and
- 13:18Speaker 4: and hey, man, if you can get it for three bucks,
- 13:22Speaker 4: I'd say it's well worth it. And I think it's
- 13:25Speaker 4: I think I forgot to mention it's twenty five euros
- 13:29Speaker 4: if you were to buy it in the UK, So
- 13:34Speaker 4: it's I thought it was solid, very very solid book.
- 13:38Speaker 4: And I'm going to give this pretty solid six guns up.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Thank you to thank you, thank you.
- 13:52Speaker 4: How about you, sir?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Again, this book is not going to wow you with
- 14:01Speaker 1: new information. And if you're a student of the game,
- 14:06Speaker 1: as we say, and if you watch our show, then
- 14:09Speaker 1: you probably are as well, because we get the weeds
- 14:12Speaker 1: with things. We are definitely not an entry level podcast
- 14:17Speaker 1: when it comes to the JFK assassination.
- 14:19Speaker 4: That is true.
- 14:21Speaker 1: But this is, like I said in the beginning, a
- 14:24Speaker 1: good primer for those who want a broad spectrum view
- 14:31Speaker 1: on the more known parts of the case. Like he
- 14:37Speaker 1: stays away from getting in the weeds of certain things.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And one thing one criticism I do have is not
- 14:50Speaker 1: doing and I'm not saying he didn't do any primary
- 14:53Speaker 1: document research, but there's a lot in here where he's
- 14:59Speaker 1: citing the work of other authors, right, and we all
- 15:03Speaker 1: know how that goes. In fact, this Friday night, we're
- 15:10Speaker 1: going to debunk some popular myths about something else to
- 15:18Speaker 1: do with the case that have been written about and
- 15:21Speaker 1: repeated and written about and repeated and have become cannon
- 15:26Speaker 1: in the assassination folly, but possibly may never have happened.
- 15:32Speaker 1: At least we don't have any proof that it happened.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You know, stories or stories, and you know, But I
- 15:44Speaker 1: think Randall did a fine job for a brit You know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: it's one thing to be an American, right, and to
- 15:55Speaker 1: write about your own country's political history, but when you're
- 15:59Speaker 1: a foreign her and you have enough, I don't know
- 16:06Speaker 1: what the word I'm looking for gumption or care about
- 16:10Speaker 1: a powerful leader who was assassinated. And uh, you know
- 16:14Speaker 1: that that just goes to tell you that JFK was
- 16:17Speaker 1: not just beloved here in America at the time of
- 16:20Speaker 1: the assassination, but all over the world. You know, it's
- 16:23Speaker 1: really on that peace train and many people respect it
- 16:28Speaker 1: and still respect it to this day. And you know,
- 16:32Speaker 1: it would be like Joe writing a book on Margaret
- 16:34Speaker 1: Thatcher or something.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Probably never happened.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Oh shit, she is an interesting she was an interesting lady,
- 16:45Speaker 4: for sure.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Yes, but the care level just isn't there for you
- 16:49Speaker 1: to dive in and write a book.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 16:52Speaker 4: I would be more like Jack the Ripper book.
- 16:56Speaker 2: There you go.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But I respect the effort for sure. Like I said,
- 17:03Speaker 1: is a very good primer. It has it gives a
- 17:07Speaker 1: good broad overview of the facts of the case.
- 17:10Speaker 2: And uh, hey.
- 17:15Speaker 1: You know, if Bart is listening to this book review,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you might want to get Randall involved in dp U K.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I'm sure he'd uh, he'd love to give a talk.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And he's in your neck of the woods, right or Randall,
- 17:31Speaker 1: if you're listening, you know, reach out to Bart and uh,
- 17:34Speaker 1: you know, get some play man. But Joe, I'm going
- 17:37Speaker 1: to give this book for for everything that it is.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And like I said, there have been many books who
- 17:44Speaker 1: have given overviews of the Kennedy assassination. Some have done
- 17:49Speaker 1: it better than this one, some have done it worse
- 17:53Speaker 1: than this one.
- 17:54Speaker 4: MH.
- 17:56Speaker 1: So I am going to give this a strong seven
- 18:04Speaker 1: guns up, Joe seven. Is it worth the money? Hell yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: especially right now while it's on sale, So go to
- 18:14Speaker 1: Amazon and grab it while it is still on sale,
- 18:18Speaker 1: or you will be paying twenty or thirty bucks bucks
- 18:21Speaker 1: for this thing.
- 18:25Speaker 4: All right? That's uh. I think I think we're pretty close.
- 18:28Speaker 4: We're on the same page.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, the folks, we hope you liked our book review.
- 18:36Speaker 1: You already love us, you're already members, and we thank you,

- 18:44Speaker 1: it anyway, and we hope you enjoyed the book review.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And like I said, if it interests you, check out
- 18:50Speaker 1: this book. Support Randall. Like I said, he jumped in
- 18:53Speaker 1: our comments section and he said, boy, I wish you guys.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I would hope to see someday my book reviewed on
- 18:59Speaker 1: your show. Guess what, Randall, The day has come and
- 19:03Speaker 1: you have been blessed by Big Bad Bob and Joe
- 19:06Speaker 1: b you have been reviewed and judged, sir, and we
- 19:13Speaker 1: didn't kill you. We applaud you. Hell of an effort.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Go out and grab it while it's hot, while it's
- 19:21Speaker 1: on sale. That's the final trigger, Joe.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Uhtla, Sorry, I uh I restarted it by trying to
- 19:40Speaker 3: stop it.
- 19:43Speaker 1: The Truth and Lies of JFK's Assassination by author Randall Windell.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Randall Windell, Randall Randall Randall, Randall Windell. It's a slight
- 19:57Speaker 1: tongue twister. Yes, so that does it for this week's
- 20:01Speaker 1: book review, Baby, be sure to join us next week

- 20:27Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that. Anyway, Joe will still be up
- 20:32Speaker 1: and read it, eye and very frazzled. Probably maybe a
- 20:38Speaker 1: little confused nerves.
- 20:40Speaker 4: I'm always a little confused.
- 20:43Speaker 2: No, you better eat good while you're over there, I damn.
- 20:45Speaker 4: It, Oh my god. I will have pictures for the
- 20:48Speaker 4: members only of the food I've been cooking.
