- 0:03No, it is enough. I don't have any serious shock and we hold
- 0:08the world ransom for excuse me while I whip this out. Broadcasting live and
- 0:16Atlanta, Georgia. This this is the Sports Shot Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:22You may vegan, I'm dang show. Frankly times it comes a month,
- 0:33isn't just I'm a doing I'm gonna go on the way you made Bill Vegan.
- 0:43Welcome, Welcome, Welco. You're listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:48I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gainey, Good morning to you. As we in
- 0:53the month of November rolling into a chilly, rainy weekend here in Atlanta,
- 1:00Georgia. But that just sets up for great college football conference finals all the
- 1:07way around. As I mentioned, if you listened on the show on Monday,
- 1:12remember you can catch a show on Spotify, Apple Podcasts. At the
- 1:17end of the show, but we spoke about how big the Oregon Washington game,
- 1:25which is tomorrow night, Friday night, so don't forget that Friday night
- 1:30used to mean go out. I don't know if it still means that to
- 1:34a lot of people, but it used to signify that it was time to
- 1:38go out. But as the world has evolved, things have changed the weekend.
- 1:45People really will go out any night. It's not just one of those
- 1:48designated Friday Saturday night kind of lifestyles anymore. But big weekend for college conference
- 1:57here in Atlanta, Georgia. You got the number one Bulldogs taking on the
- 2:02number eight Alabama Crimson Tide. Most of the top ten teams are as you
- 2:07would imagine to be in that position are in their conference finals. Louisville taking
- 2:14on Florida State, Michigan doing battle against is it Iowa, Iowa State or
- 2:20the brad who they're playing over, Yeah, Iowa, who's like number seventeen
- 2:23eighteen I think in the country as well. So you got a lot of
- 2:29good conference games coming up this weekend and it will reshuffle the deck. And
- 2:35it starts tomorrow night, and that's the big key. If Oregon wins against
- 2:39Washington, who's number three and undefeated, what happens if Florida State lose to
- 2:46Louisville or if those teams win, And the biggest question I think going into
- 2:52the weekend, say Michigan win, say Washington win, Say Florida State,
- 3:00but Alabama at eight beats Georgia at one, does the tie? Does an
- 3:07SEC champion not go to the playoffs. Now, that is something to ponder.
- 3:16Does an SEC champion the powerhouse of football right now, powerhouse of football
- 3:23college football for the live almost three decades. Really do they fall short or
- 3:30do you just move Georgia from one to four and act like Alabama did not
- 3:35beat them? But that is a big question for the weekend should be some
- 3:39great games. I'm gonna make it down to that Georgia Alabama game to try
- 3:45to catch it in person. Since you know my Auburn Tigers, I never
- 3:49know when they're gonna visit the SEC Championship again. So since it's only about
- 3:54eight to twelve miles to the Dome or excuse me to the Bens, I
- 4:00will definitely run down there and catch the game. Thursday Night Football, the
- 4:05Seahawks and the Cowboys are on deck to do battle tonight at eight point fifteen.
- 4:13The biggest story coming out of this, as my co host brought me
- 4:17the story, is the public's reaction to al Michaels. Al Michael's a legend
- 4:27and play by play commentating. He's been around done as big as sporting events
- 4:33as you can imagine, from Super Bowls to Olympics worked with Kurt Herbstreet.
- 4:39Kurt Herbstreet has had to defend al Michaels, which I command you, Greg,
- 4:46who's in the building with me, I Big Kenny, who's in the
- 4:48building with me today. Don't really grasp why Kurt Herbstreet has to fan al
- 5:00Michael when Kirk Herbstreet has not even still reached the level of what al Michaels
- 5:12has put together. But people are saying that al Michaels doesn't seem enthusiastic about
- 5:20the Thursday night game, and why should he? Is what I would have
- 5:28if anybody had sent me that text, or hit me on social media or
- 5:31asked me, I would have asked them that back. I know it's not
- 5:35good to answer a question with a question, that's terrible way to communicate,
- 5:44but my first response would have been, why should al Michaels sound enthusiastic about
- 5:51Thursday night football when most of us don't even watch Thursday night football? We
- 6:02really don't. It's become really a game that I think the fans of whatever
- 6:09two teams might be playing, but it's not in through The players don't play
- 6:15enthusiastically when I watch them. Those teams don't look like the teams I just
- 6:23saw the Sunday before because they just played. But you want al Michaels And
- 6:31I'm in the role al Michaels and Kurt Herbstreet. I do the Kurt Herbstreet
- 6:36job on Friday nights, and then I started doing it in college the color
- 6:42analysts. The game dictates a lot of your enthusiasm. The better the game,
- 6:49the better the players. And when I say the better the game,
- 6:53I'm not saying the game has to be fifty to fifty two. I'm talking
- 6:56about it just the better the game. So why would Kurt herb Street have
- 7:01to defend al Michaels And why would al Michaels need to show more enthusiasm.
- 7:06The seventy nine year old should be applauded for being able to continue the cadence
- 7:15of doing that job. It's a cadence and a memorization to that job that
- 7:21al Michaels was born in nineteen forty four. Man, he older than me.
- 7:32Good money, guys, but good my man comment, I mean forty
- 7:41four, Yeah, that's older than me. Al Michaels. Why is he?
- 7:47You know? And I get I'm not saying that you want your color
- 7:50coming to but he him being more excitable is not going to make the game
- 7:55better. And I'm wondering if it's the plat form. It buffers so much
- 8:01that Al might be excited. It just comes across as like calm and reserve.
- 8:09I'm not sure what they're hoping that he would do. I thought that
- 8:13part of the color commentating job was to inform us of who was doing what
- 8:20when, and he does that. Well, that's the difference in the job
- 8:24because right there is the Al Michaels is the play by play right, The
- 8:30play by play personality is never the color commentator is always supposed to be a
- 8:41little more excitable because that's the role, the John Madden role for you that
- 8:48don't that's what John Madden was a color commentator, color analysts, the play
- 8:52by play right and all right, now forgets what was the guy who worked
- 8:58with John Madden past summer on some Yeah, his was always more He almost
- 9:05sets up John and that's why I was maybe it's third and ten, we're
- 9:11down here in Dallas Stadium, Troyman and he should run the ball, and
- 9:15that's when that's how John look and he just goes through that look at the
- 9:20way that they know they are. Those are the two tempos. The play
- 9:24by play sets the table the color analysts feeds you. If that's really how
- 9:31it really goes? So uh But with al Michaels and legends of the game,
- 9:35give the man who's you know, to be doing the job. Sure,
- 9:39and he has been allowed and earned that he should not have to be
- 9:46enthusiastic on the Thursday night seventy seventy nine. Oh yeah, he probably think
- 9:52he's still on Sunday seventy nine at nine pm. He probably he thinks he
- 9:56think it's a Sunday night game. Harry, I sun it out of Dallas.
- 10:01It's wonderful. It's wonderful night in Dallas. Oh man. So yeah,
- 10:07that's where that is tonight. One thing I got, like a couple
- 10:09of things I am going to discuss periodically doing the show. I wanted to
- 10:13get off my chest, big Kenny, that I have realized over the last
- 10:20couple of months. The first is for you people out there that's driving around
- 10:26and I don't know whether you just don't know or you show busy as we
- 10:33all are in our cars, but turn your headlights on comanchat. I've noticed
- 10:39that it's a lot of driving around. When it was one or two I
- 10:43kind of brushed off. Now almost any night driving I've had experienced over the
- 10:48last couple of months, it's somebody driving with their lights off. And I
- 10:54know it's not a censor in the car, but it's part of driving one
- 10:58over one, yeah, is it not? Yeah? And see, I
- 11:03think it's two things that bother me about it. One, I think it's
- 11:05that people count too much on the automatic functions of automobiles. Surely the lights
- 11:11will cut on. It keeps me in a lane, Surely it'll cut the
- 11:15lights on for me. And then the other part is when you see people
- 11:18with the lights off. It used to be a thing that you would blink
- 11:20and let them know that the light's off. But now there's no code for
- 11:24turning your lights on. Is it when the car behind you? No,
- 11:26no, not behind you, but even even to try and warn them the
- 11:31people coming towards them. It's urban legend now that if you flash your lights
- 11:35that's some sort of gang initiation. Well, well, also flashing light typically
- 11:39means maybe there's a police trap. Yeah, yeah, I know a lot
- 11:43of times I see if I'm driving and somebody's flashing their light and my first
- 11:46thought is it's me. There's a police trap, so you slow down.
- 11:52Then they get you for not having your head lights on, but then Kenny
- 11:56commands you. Greg in the studio, we have a great show. Before
- 12:00you sit back, relax. We'll be back with more to Sports Jock Show
- 12:03right after this, John't Bowl Wayne More of the Sports Junck Show with Wayne

- 13:28Her life was full of uncertainty. She thought she'd never have a permanent place
- 13:35to call home. Before I was adopted, I felt like I wasn't enough.
- 13:39I had this hole in my heart and I never knew what I needed
- 13:43to patch that hole. But when my mom asked to adopt me, that
- 13:46hole was closed. It feels so normal now to say that I'm a part
- 13:50of this family. I am surrounded by love, I feel safe, and
- 13:54that hole inside of me is gone. I am whole. I'm finally enough,

- 15:07no no. Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day on
- 15:11the Sports jocksho He's taken it to a completely different level this year where we
- 15:15highlight an appolyte that has taken their game to the next level. Welcome back
- 15:39to the show on the Swart Shock. Wayne Gandee out in Newport Beach,
- 15:43California police are conducting an active investigation into Oklahoma City thunderguard Josh Giddy, who
- 15:54is alleged to be in an inappropriate relationship with an underage female. Now I
- 16:03could not google sir for some reason. When I went to type it in,
- 16:08I was like, now, if I typed this in and hit enter,
- 16:15well I pop up on FBI radar because I was going to type in
- 16:21is it illegal for a twenty one year old to date a sixteen seventeen year
- 16:26old? And I didn't know whether I was gonna end up with some you
- 16:30know how that old theory used to be if you went to the library and
- 16:33checked out as catcher in the ride, then heed the communists the yeah,
- 16:41something like that. So I was sitting there like I don't know the answer
- 16:44and tracking it. I'm still not sure of the answer. And if you
- 16:49are, hey god bless you. But I didn't know if it's illegal.
- 16:56Now I know it is illegal for the twenty one year old to have sexual
- 17:02relations with the sixteen year old in this country, but I didn't know is
- 17:10it illegal for the twenty one year old to date the sixteen year old?
- 17:15Old? Do any of you to know right off the top. The answer
- 17:22to that question. No, So I'm not the only one who no exactly
- 17:27you know, the sexual component, but we don't know is it illegal,
- 17:33right? And I believe that even that kind of interaction is governed differently state
- 17:40by state. There are some places where sixteen or seventeen is consent, they
- 17:48you know, have allowances, and then there are other places where it is
- 17:52strictly eighteen, and then that eighteen has to be with someone who is under
- 17:57twenty one but not dating, right, And That's what I'm saying. I
- 18:02don't we would have to do more strangely define dating. Now. These allegations
- 18:07surfaced on social media last week. It has been deleted. The post's original
- 18:14post was deleted. Someone recognized the young girl seen with Josh Giddy, who
- 18:21plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and some videos and photographs, and informed
- 18:29in authorities that she was in high school junior. Now, neither article that
- 18:34I read had her age. Giddy is twenty one years of age, but
- 18:42being in a picture going out on a date. The family of the young
- 18:48lady says they're not cooperating with the police, so it sounds like they didn't
- 18:52have a problem with their young daughter dating Josh, and really, I guess
- 19:00unless you can prove and the photos didn't say they was photos or videos of
- 19:04the two having intercourse. Unless you could prove that, I don't know by
- 19:10law that Josh broke the law, has committed a crime. And that was
- 19:17where I was sitting there about the type this end command. I was thinking,
- 19:22Oh, I don't know. I could probably type it in and maybe
- 19:26like we got something else on, you know, but you it would be
- 19:30definitely pop up defin oh man. And then there are there are a couple
- 19:36of a couple of photos that may suggest but it's not even I don't even
- 19:41know if because there was a something from a Snapchat account with him and there
- 19:48was a girl, I don't know if it was the girl in question.
- 19:52So I think some people may just be putting stuff out there to try to
- 19:56well steer this a certain way. Well and if the picture, if the
- 20:00picture is not something of they have no clothes on or something, then what
- 20:06And then even the roller coaster, That's what I said, I would really
- 20:11know is it just because he could he could kiss her? Right? I
- 20:15don't know, sports Jock. That's what I'm saying. Dating is that mean
- 20:19we just go to the movies. It's just platonic. Does that mean that
- 20:25we have romantic interaction like we kids? What else would that encompass? Because
- 20:30if intercourse is the only thing that prevents it from being a crime, then
- 20:36what are the things that lead up to that? So for an adult to
- 20:41be doing that with a child would be still considered by some offensive and a
- 20:45criminal and all of those things. But by the letter of the law is
- 20:48what we are talking about it, I'm really not sure. And then where
- 20:52are they? They're in Newport Beach, California. This is where a young
- 20:56lady is from. And as I when I read the story, I know
- 21:00there has to be about twenty years ago minimum, maybe twenty five when An
- 21:07according to Kovra, was fifteen sixteen. She was dating Sergey Federal, who
- 21:15was maybe about twenty twenty one, and they when they were not in America
- 21:21they could date, and when they would come here they had to pretend,
- 21:26pretend. So I do know in other countries this would not be something that
- 21:32of red flag was put on. But I didn't know, and still today
- 21:37as you two admit it, and I just was honest with myself. You
- 21:40know what you don't know, is it. Can you do that minus the
- 21:47sexual intercourse? Can you date of sixteen year old? When I think about
- 21:53it, was anything illegal with with a tiger. Tiger dated Kylie Jenner and
- 22:03he was twenty four, she was sixteen, so there was nothing. There
- 22:08were no legal ramifications from them dating. The sexual component very likely that it
- 22:15happened, but there was no investigation into that. So inter service looks and
- 22:22as I said, the young lady from at least at least now the family
- 22:26and the young lady are not cooperating with law enforcement. But Josh Giddy has
- 22:30been still allowed to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's averaging twelve points
- 22:37six rebounds. Still did the starting lineup? Just an interesting story and we'll
- 22:41be back with more of the Sports Jock Show right after this. John't by
- 22:56Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Gamvidias up masked Attention, homeowners,

- 24:07Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security,
- 24:11yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five,
- 24:15me and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we
- 24:18live forever. Life insurance, Well, it's the last thing on my mind?
- 24:22What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I
- 24:25was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up, I was
- 24:27worried how my family will survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment
- 24:30with the insurance informant. Information gives you power and life. Insurance gives your
- 24:33family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm molder,
- 24:38I don't worry about whether I leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 24:41The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn
- 24:45a little or a lot. All you need is the insurance informant to help
- 24:48you build a foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 24:52two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log
- 24:57on today benefits or bills dot com? That's benefits or bills dot com.
- 25:06There are a thousand ways to say it, Nope, knock it off,
- 25:10shut it down, dream on, no dice, give it a rest,
- 25:15not a chance, or just all text. You focus on the road.
- 25:22As a passenger, you have the power to prevent an accident. There are
- 25:26a thousand ways to stop a distracted driver. Choose one. A message from
- 25:32Ctia and now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy in the razo, Little
- 26:14sister, what have you done? What about to sport Shock show. I'm
- 26:18the sports Shock Wing Candy, good morning, telling you. I hope you
- 26:23had a great night. We are here big Kenny, command you Greg in
- 26:26the building. Thursday Night football, the Seahawks fighting for their playoff lives taking
- 26:33on the Cowboys. Cowboys and Dak Prescott starting to look like an mv PTE.
- 26:40They got healthy on that offensive line. As I spoke about in the
- 26:42beginning of the season, that was their biggest problem to me offensively, they
- 26:47had like three start two starters out and one trying to finally get back.
- 26:52Now they're all in there playing well. The Cowboys look like they're on the
- 26:57path of ending up coming to somewhere like in Atlanta for a playoff game or
- 27:04New Orleans. So it's going to be one of those. The Cowboys are
- 27:07going to be eleven and five or eleven and six or twelve and five playing
- 27:15a seven and ten team on the road because they didn't win the division,
- 27:21being in the same division as the Eagles. So that's how that is shaping
- 27:26up. But when you look at this team tonight, it should be a
- 27:33good game. The Seahawks have an outside chance still of making the playoffs,
- 27:36but they got to get back to their winning ways. College football conference championships
- 27:42this weekend. Louisville, Florida State, Georgia, Bama, Oregon, Washington,
- 27:52Michigan, Iowa. Texas is playing who Comanche Oklahoma State. There we
- 27:57go. See. I was just making sure he was because he's from Oklahoma,
- 28:00so I was wondering. So Oklahoma State, I'm quite sure is reveling
- 28:12in the idea of knocking Texas out with a big law. So that is
- 28:18a great conference final weekend around the country Thursday night football. As I said,
- 28:26Seahawks, cow Boys. Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner, has
- 28:33decided to part his majority stake of the MAVs now. I'm reporting on this
- 28:38early in the show because I see some etching in the wall. I see
- 28:45the webs of deception. The Addamson family of the Las Vegas sans Casino,
- 29:00the Adamson and dwuo Mont families of the Lost Vegas says Casino. He keeps
- 29:10saying that three times, Gadie, we gotta go see this guy the Las
- 29:14Vegas Now, let me, let me, let me. Let's you see
- 29:18where my mind at Mark Cuban, who's been a champion of the Dallas Mavericks.
- 29:26Yes, it's been an owner who has been enthusiastic about his team and
- 29:32has consistently stayed and promoted his players, loved on them. Even let Dennis
- 29:41Rodman live in his guest house in one season. That's enough, right,
- 29:45you know what I'm saying. If he didn't do anything else. The fact
- 29:48that it was a whole off season of Rodman living in his guest house and
- 29:53he's still here, it's it's it's a good thing. Who's on this team
- 29:57for about twenty twenty one years. I think he bought the team. He
- 30:02bought it in two thousand, okay, twenty three years. He's on this
- 30:06team, bought it fresh out, fresh on the billionaire stroll. He bought
- 30:10the Mavericks. He was about forty when he got those billions, and that's
- 30:14what he went and bought with some of his money, the Mavericks for about
- 30:17three hundred million. He bought the team. Now, that's not even what
- 30:21I'm talking about, because when you sell teams, these people are billionaires.
- 30:23Anyway, I'm talking about the part of the Las Vegas group bought the Mavericks.
- 30:34You should start seeing the picture that Dallas. We got the Raiders,
- 30:41right, we got the A's, we got we got the Knights, we
- 30:45got the Aces. What are we missing? Oh? Joe and Joe Passi.
- 30:55Joe Passi in the NBA Joe Passi as the coach of NBA team.
- 30:59Now to do that, the Dallas Maverick owner Mark Cuban gave up majority stake
- 31:04but said he would stay around for total control of personnel moves. Say he's
- 31:11the governor of the team. And I'm saying it in this way to be
- 31:18like so Mark Cuban conscious is that I didn't sell the team and moved them
- 31:26to Las Vegas. They took the team. The Addamson do my families moved
- 31:32the team, moved the team. I tried to vote it down. I'm
- 31:38saying that because I was part of I got drafted, said the La Rams,
- 31:42the current owner of the Rams now staying Crunkie bought forty nine percent of
- 31:48the Rams, but for his forty nine percent, he said the team had
- 31:52to move to Saint Louis. So the owner Georgia Frontier didn't not move the
- 32:02team to Saint Louis. Remember, don't don't go down there, don't go
- 32:07to Bourbon Street and start wish doctor and me. I didn't move them.
- 32:12Don't need to talk to stand Stan moved them. Stand also moved them back
- 32:15to LA. He's still the current owner and moved them back to LA to
- 32:19that beautiful building. So I just wanted to make sure if you can,
- 32:22I'm not saying it's happening, And I don't know when the stadium writes,
- 32:25and I know it almost seems like something fictional that the Mavericks wouldn't move,
- 32:34but it sets up for the stadium rights fall out or in which is always
- 32:45when teams love to move. Now, go ask the Braves. They just
- 32:50change. They move across town. Why because the ted the stadium rights ran
- 32:55out and basically we can leave now without penance. And they did it so
- 33:01quiet, So it could be the other way though Mark Cuban has lobbied for
- 33:10gambling to become legal in Texas, so it could be the sayings we've been
- 33:19spanding, we've been greasing up some politician in Texas. He's about to pull
- 33:24the trigger on gambling, and you might as well bring it to the Maverick
- 33:30Stadium first. It just seems to be some very interesting parts of this and
- 33:36something else is going to happen. That's all I want to make. Either
- 33:38they moving to Vegas or like you said, well your second thought is what
- 33:43I've been telling everyone. Anyway, another decade or two, I won't even
- 33:47say two, another ten to fifteen years. I told you, I go
- 33:51to these places, these stadiums, and you mess around and hit the wrong
- 33:54button and just be on a floor that is empty, and you'd be like,
- 33:59well, why did it build a whole floor of emptiness? They are
- 34:02building these new places with the idea that it will eventually be used, that
- 34:07there will be a casino in them. That's why you see each year more
- 34:13and more places there. There. There's advertising says something Harris Casino, Cherokee
- 34:22Casino. Something they're doing normalize. They're trying to get it in your accept
- 34:28it, especially in what we call or deemed the Bible Belt States. So
- 34:37you might not be paying attention, but one day you swipe your or whatever
- 34:40it is, little ticket and walk in and here we got a winner over
- 34:49here. You'd be like, hold on hold on, I'm gonna catch you.
- 34:52I'm gonna catch it at halftime up in the foot. Then your wife
- 34:53or your husband is like, hey, who had won the game? But
- 34:58I thought you said you and Big Command your great, we're going to the
- 35:00game. Yeah, but uh, he got hot on the table. He
- 35:05got hot on the table. And I don't know who won the game,
- 35:07but I know we won. And that's how it'll be in those places would
- 35:13be because the whole concept is that it's just to be a twenty four venue
- 35:16and you'll be able to come in. You might not have a ticket to
- 35:20the game, but you'll be able to come in and go to the casino
- 35:22park right. The stadium will just be a big It would be something set
- 35:25up like in Vegas, like right where you go through, those who go
- 35:30into the game go through this entrance with their ticket, and everybody else keep
- 35:32going to the carnival park right that hotel next to the Bens. And if
- 35:37it happened soon, what you'll do is you're bumping to my mom the casino
- 35:43park, right, but the hotel nex to the Bends, it's a hard
- 35:46rock casine, the hard rock hotel. I feel like there are they trying
- 35:51to get DIBs on what's going on already, the deal already like, look,
- 35:59we're coming in twenty two seven, so I'm gonna go ahead and buy
- 36:02in now, and we'll build the tunnel that goes straight to your stadium from
- 36:09our casino. And when you pull in and ask for a room and you
- 36:15don't see any cars out there, and they're like, well, we're out
- 36:17of rooms. What they're basically saying is floor seven through twenty. Right,
- 36:23it's casino, really really only we only got like three rooms of floor,
- 36:29three floors of rooms. The rest of it we're just waiting to fill in.
- 36:34So but Mark Cuban getting in early as governor. As governor and I'm
- 36:39controlling interesting. I told you I had a couple of things I need to
- 36:43get off my chests today. One was the headlights. The secondest our man
- 36:49t I cut king off, put him off, TI Son tried to wrestle
- 36:54him or fight him. At the Falcon game on Sunday, I was reading
- 36:58I don't get a lot of posts, but people sent it to me,
- 37:00and I was thinking, you know, wrong folks should be treated wrongly.
- 37:06So if you want to listen to me, then get out right getting that
- 37:10what you do with your kids when they decide they don't want to listen to
- 37:14you? Yeah, I guess. I guess because my kids got to be
- 37:17they on the clock already paying close attention. You know what's that? You
- 37:25got your high school diploma? All right? College is next. But that's
- 37:29a move out. And since he's seeking to live in the hood, wasn't
- 37:35that what the whole disagreement was. Did y'all see the video? I didn't
- 37:37see the video video. I was talking about it that he was his dad
- 37:43was saying you grew up silver Spoon, but he was claiming he was from
- 37:46the hood, from the hood right right, and the daddy snatched him up
- 37:52something like that. I just thought, well, this would be a good
- 37:55time to just pack his things up, and I guess let him find what
- 38:00the who? It looks like you said, y'all haven't raised me, grandma
- 38:05did. Okay, we'll be back Sports dot Show right after this. Jn't
- 38:22bowl Wayne. More of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gambidius coming up next.

- 41:32I'm the sport Shock Wayne Candy, Good morning to you once again.
- 41:37Hope you had a great night and woke up ready to attack the weekend.
- 41:43With so much great sports going on, I'm looking forward to some college conference
- 41:47just to shakeout, shake, shape up, shake up is what I'm looking
- 41:52for. I really want to see how the college football playoffs handle the pandemonium
- 42:00if one of those top fourteen loses, how they rationalize who moves up,
- 42:05who does what. I want to see the state of Texas upset if Alabama
- 42:09beats Georgia and they let Alabama jump them because their whole thing is we beat
- 42:16Alabama. Alabama's one loss would be against Texas. But we will see how
- 42:22it works out. And I said, the schedulers did a great job of
- 42:25taking that Oregon Washington game, and it starts there. If Oregon beats Washington,
- 42:34the chaos starts on. You get a whole different motivation speech on Saturday,
- 42:40command Chien Big Kenn. If you didn't know that Washington beat Oregon three
- 42:46or four of those teams. Know we're gonna lose Saturday, we ain't gonna
- 42:51move up, but Oregon beat them. Then you give like three teams.
- 42:57Hope you do give the Alabama take Ohio state. Yeah? Yeah, you
- 43:04still you know, start rain dancing and all kinds of stuff. Yeah.
- 43:13Uh. There was an article last week everybody laughed at owner of the coach,
- 43:19Jim Ersay because Jim Ersay says that he gets basically victimized and profiled by
- 43:28people and law enforcement for being a billionaire. Well, the can water company
- 43:37Liquid Death rebrands one of their drinks that they called Armless Parmer to the name
- 43:52of Dead Billionaire. So all you that laughed at Jim, like these two,
- 44:01y'all, oh Jim, because to me, by them naming it dead
- 44:07Billionaire, wouldn't this validate what Jim Mersay is saying that that that people hate
- 44:15billionaires? Would you would you say people hate billionaires? No? Go ahead,
- 44:20go ahead on, Well, this is the thing that they hate the
- 44:24idea of billionaires because very few people know a billionaire personally that well, well,
- 44:30well, well people don't know people don't know Lebron James, but they
- 44:34hate him and they have a true disdain. I mean, yeah, yeah,
- 44:38so you don't have to know people no more than this, can't hate
- 44:42them. Okay, you're right, But would you say billionaires people would be
- 44:45okay with all the lawyers and all the billionaires round up and drowned. Would
- 44:52you? Would you not think that's what this dead billionaire liquid death drink is
- 44:55scene it It seems a little bit an affront to billionaires to just make them
- 45:05dead. Just can't be drunk billionaire or lazy billionaire. Most people that don't
- 45:10have a billion believe that you should not have a billion dollars, that that's
- 45:15too much money for an individual, is it. That's how I've always felt
- 45:21when people talk about it. I've met a couple of being on teams where
- 45:24the owners had a billion dollars, you know, but being on that level,
- 45:31they never you own a team, I would imagine you had it like
- 45:35that. But most people have this idea that a billionaire a person doesn't need
- 45:38a billion dollars. Yeah, and I think some of that comes from the
- 45:43portrayal of billionaires too. They're always seen as gluttonus and people that are dismissive
- 45:51of other people and tyrannical and and conniving. And you meet a billionaire,
- 45:58and a lot of a lot of billionaires you don't know are billionaires because they
- 46:01don't wear it on their sleeve, as they say, because if you have
- 46:05a billion dollars, and we shouldn't have a homeless problem in our country.
- 46:10If you have a billion dollars, we shouldn't have some kind the mindt the
- 46:19sentiment is that, yes, you should have a billion if all the other
- 46:23problems of the world are solved, are solved, right, we shouldn't be
- 46:29without textbooks, and you're laying up with two hundred billion dollars. But textbooks
- 46:35ain't on TikTok. That's what I'm saying. Textbooks ain't got a page every
- 46:38day. Textbooks doing the dance on I'm doing the dance. You see what
- 46:43I'm saying. I'm out here influencing, I'm out here doing what it takes
- 46:47to buy the company, and so what I can't do that and then I
- 46:52can't earn the profits that come along with it. I think that I've never
- 46:58I've always seen billionaires and people who have that in excess of what it is
- 47:05that I have as motivation. If it is that, that's something I aspire
- 47:09to like. You know, some people don't want that kind of money because
- 47:14they think it would be a headache. But if I'm a person that wants
- 47:17to be successful, I see a billionaire as somebody that's onto something. This
- 47:22guy knows something the rest of us seem to not know. Well, the
- 47:25change of name came. Remember Arnold Palmer, the iconic golfer whose name has
- 47:32been linked to the mixture of ice, tea and lemonade. That's what they
- 47:37call it. Give me an Arnold Palmer in a lot of places, but
- 47:43people took exception to They named it Armless Palmer as a sharp shot at Arnold
- 47:52Palmer and Liquid Death, which is one of Comanche Gregg's favorite drinks. Favorite.
- 48:00He's the one who introduced us to him. Yes, And what he
- 48:02did was, after I shine light that he drinks liquid Death, he stopped
- 48:08bringing the can. I catch him in the car polling it in his jetty
- 48:12in the little cooler before you come in come. I got that dark tent
- 48:17and I picked over there. You think he's smart, He just the liquid
- 48:22and I do the same thing with Bourbon, but they have armless palmer though,
- 48:29but they have changed the armless palmer to dead billionaire. So I'm just
- 48:37sending a shout out to her man Jim Or say they profiling your gym.
- 48:40It ain't the cocaine and the opioids as you are. I be telling folks,
- 48:46that's you a billion dollars and it's it's I'm black, and it ain't
- 48:51had nothing to do with the drugs and and the suspended license and everything doing
- 48:55in the fact that I'm black. Man can't get no justice in the mayor
- 48:59be back. We're more to sports doc show right out of this. We
- 49:13do well, we don't bowl Wayne. More of the Sports Josh Show with

- 51:23now back to the sports John of Wayne Gaddy Center Court on sports News gossip
- 51:34blah blah blah blah blah. Everybody, welcome back to this spot. Shock
- 52:01shine, this bourt shock Wayne Againdy, good morning to you once again.
- 52:08And tonight tune into the LSU Virginia Tech game. There should be a sighting.
- 52:17Angel Reese is back. Head coach Kim Molkie says that the thrill is
- 52:25back. Angel Reese to return for LSU after a four game absince she hasn't
- 52:34played. I want to say since like November the thirteenth of twelfth in there
- 52:38somewhere fourteen, so almost two and a half weeks. She hasn't been on
- 52:45the court. But Angel is back. She even missed and that was the
- 52:49only reason I speculated on Monday that I wanted that to happen. People have
- 52:53a lot going on. Angel definitely had an off season that could have got
- 52:58her sidetrack. Part of that whole nil introducing this into young people's lives.
- 53:04It's hard for people to leave college and go to pros that are twenty two
- 53:07to twenty three and balance that. Remember I've I always said a lot of
- 53:14guys they in that period, they were their talent represented, first round pick.
- 53:23But in trying to handle that part of it as well, the money,
- 53:28more fame, the responsibility of meeting demands, shoe deals and all the
- 53:32thing else. You forgot to do that extra set. You started cheating yourself.
- 53:37You used to get five sets in, now you two and a half.
- 53:40You used to get fifteen reps, now it's eight. I'm gonna get
- 53:44a quick workout in. Well, quick workout is not what's got you in
- 53:46the first round. And it's just as simple as that. Don't always think
- 53:52it was oh this person. I always tell you the person was that talented.
- 53:57But I can't weigh in me how money and fame you're going to handle
- 54:02that when I give it to you. Some people can. I'm not saying
- 54:07that's angel reach. It could be great. I speculated something a little farther
- 54:10reaching because she had missed the Cayman Islands trip where the team went down there
- 54:16and played in a tournament. And even if she wasn't going to play,
- 54:20I would have went down there and got a little son. Yeah it's come
- 54:22on man, right, yeah, yeah, look a week trip. Come
- 54:25on, man, everybody, Come on, everybody. Most of us had
- 54:29to put in about eight ten years of job to get to the Cayman or
- 54:35make a deal with some people in Bolivia, you know what I mean,
- 54:38to get down to the But they played Virginia Tech tonight, so good to
- 54:44see uh the LSU superstar Angel reach back on the court. How good she
- 54:51plays. We will eventually find out tonight, but that is also Thursday night
- 54:57for her. Matt Ruhle, the head coach of Nebraska giving people a little
- 55:02honesty, and I hope this comes back to our coaches and players to be
- 55:08a little more honest, not have to give the company answer all the time
- 55:15without being prosecuted. Persecuted. That's what happens if you don't get a company
- 55:21answer and you really give your true thoughts. A lot of times people get
- 55:23offended. But you asked me a question. I didn't come knock on your
- 55:28door at your house and yell it in the room. Somebody came to my
- 55:30locker put a mic in my face and ask me how I feel about it.
- 55:34You want the truth or you want me to tell you what the athletic
- 55:37director and the coach told me. Those are two different things. In this
- 55:40case, Matt Rule going on to let command you Greg No. If he
- 55:49wants us to get it better product, especially at the QB position, it's
- 55:54gonna cost us about a million to two million dollars in the protocol. That's
- 56:00what Matt Rule is. Basically, the head coach Nebraska is saying that with
- 56:05the new nil with these transfers, if you're going in the transferred protocol and
- 56:09want to pick up someone's transfer quarterback, if you're not coming with some deal
- 56:17in that kind of money range of an nil, then those quarterbacks most likely
- 56:24are not going to come to your school. They're not just coming. And
- 56:29a lot of them put themselves in the protocol because they do know that that's
- 56:35their market value. Yes, it's not that they're unhappy with the school that
- 56:40they're at. It's just that if I put myself into protocol, I can
- 56:46automatically know I can get this amount of money. Are you all surprised Matt
- 56:53Rule would let the people know Comandjie a little that h it's coming from it's
- 57:02coming from a coach who is who is dealing with these things directly. You
- 57:10don't expect, I guess I wasn't expecting a coach to actually come out and
- 57:15say it. It's something he's aware of, but to like verbalize it was
- 57:19a little surprising because you don't hear coaches talk about that kind of thing,
- 57:23especially since we'll we'll hear a lot more coaches like rail against it, someone
- 57:28like Dabbo like is against the ni L and the and using the transfer portal.
- 57:32But some when they say this is what it is, Uh, it's
- 57:37it's almost surprising. It's it's it's surprising, but it's actually refreshing. Big
- 57:42Kenny, Uh, I think that maybe he's looking around and he sees the
- 57:50responsibility that coaches have. We've just gone through Black Monday, where and even
- 57:57before where coaches started getting the acts not producing with the product that it is
- 58:02they're supposed to be putting on the field. And we all know why some
- 58:07of us are struggling. We know what it takes to get these number one
- 58:10but you but everybody's gonna pretend like that's not it I'm going to say what
- 58:15everybody's thinking. You're thinking it, you were whispering it over in the corner.
- 58:22I'm going to say it out loud. Who else would know better but
- 58:25me. I'm out here trying to recruit. I had to do. Tell
- 58:29me straight to my face. Look, it's gonna be about two million,
- 58:31and I am deal coach and that was my third choice. Guy said it's
- 58:37gonna be about two million, coach. So of course the guys that I'm
- 58:42actively recruiting and it's under that. It's like, in the same day,
- 58:47cam Ward's a quarterback at Washington State, I'm saying that he's getting multiple offers
- 58:52of a million dollars to transfer. So like he's just saying, what is
- 58:59acting And I'll leave you with this. This is a big shout out to
- 59:02all the alumni and boosters. Matt's just putting it out there while y'all are
- 59:08sending me these emails and these criticizing points of the team and what we need.
- 59:16I'm just letting you know, if you want me to go get these
- 59:22guys, have a banquet. Have a banquet. I'm saying, have a
- 59:27bank. I'm gonna need some money and you will see just like the young
- 59:30man aj Hill de committed from Colorado. You're gonna see that with the high
- 59:35school quarterback. He's gonna say in his junior year, he's going here to

- 1:02:27Greg says that Sports Illustrated has named Dion Sanders, the head coach of Colorado,
- 1:02:34coach prime former coach of Jackson State. UH. The sports person of
- 1:02:42the Year is Dion Sanders, and I would agree with you Sports Illustrated.
- 1:02:50It's part of why I was saying that I hoped and was cheering for Colorado
- 1:02:55to get those six wins. They ended up four an eight after starting three
- 1:03:01and one because what Dion and though that team bringing a certain excitement that people
- 1:03:13really it was the thing to do. It was the year team that people
- 1:03:19had curiosity four. It created a viral sensation, viral college football. Yes,
- 1:03:29of a team of of a time where would have never been considered.
- 1:03:37That's what Dion has brought in the last four or five years to his UH
- 1:03:42spotlight. He has you know, been in every advertising. He's selling you
- 1:03:47KFC, he's selling you insurance, He's you know, Statio Pistatios. UH.
- 1:03:54He got back with Nike, It's Suns, especially Shador, Travis Hunter,
- 1:04:03those guys a lot of commercials, fame went their way. So I
- 1:04:09understand what there are saying with that coming. If there's been a storyline,
- 1:04:14especially over the last six months for sports, for sports, it's been the
- 1:04:18Colorado now and it was a primetime game until they started all the losing.
- 1:04:27They were doing a huge every time Colorado's coming next week Colorado until they started
- 1:04:32that losing, and then they kind of moved out of the consciousness. But
- 1:04:36I have to applaud and give Diana's due on that. I can see how
- 1:04:42sports illustrated. If you wanted a face of the college football season, it
- 1:04:46was the Colorado Buffalo's but mostly Dion Sanders. Yes, And I don't think
- 1:04:54the uh the designation goes to the most successful sports person of the year.
- 1:05:01It's just I think the most polarizing, the most visible, the most talked
- 1:05:06about, the most sought after, and whom else besides especially when you look
- 1:05:15at the what we used to go to coaches for, what we used to
- 1:05:21follow athletes about, which was the winning. You would have to be an
- 1:05:26undefeated, you would have to be a number one. They're four and eight,
- 1:05:30and it's something that even in there being foreign eight, it's something that
- 1:05:34we talk about still in sports, and when you look at them, it
- 1:05:39would have been let's real quickly, it was Dion Sanders in Colorado and then
- 1:05:46Jim Harball in Michigan have been the two biggest, biggest storylines that I can
- 1:05:56think. Last year, I would say you could say something like a stetson
- 1:06:00Bennett and the Bulldogs had everybody's attention. But this year it has been those
- 1:06:10two storylines. I would say a third would be more of people's feeling that
- 1:06:15the Heisman has kind of been an open format even to today people. You
- 1:06:21know, is it bow Nicks, is it Jaydeon Daniels of LSU, It's
- 1:06:27this game tomorrow night between bow Knicks and Michael Pennett R. Caleb williams nowhere
- 1:06:32on the map, but I'm saying he was until he you know, I
- 1:06:36will say with this, with this award and going like with a history of
- 1:06:40it, especially through Sports Illustrated, it would be through who's ever like the
- 1:06:46the Super Bowl MVP, the Finals MVP, Like last year it was Steph
- 1:06:51Curry. The year before that's Tom Brady coming off a Super Bowl. So
- 1:06:56for this year, I think they just took a it was an approach to
- 1:07:01name it, who is who is that personality that captured our attention, and
- 1:07:09it was clearly Deyon Sanders. It wasn't going to be like the MVP of
- 1:07:13the Super Bowl, or it wasn't gonna be. It wasn't gonna be.
- 1:07:16Nicola Jokic, Well, as I'm saying, to validate sometimes you have to
- 1:07:21validate the award, and to validate the award, as you said, it
- 1:07:26would be along the lines of who captured our imagination good or bad. It
- 1:07:31can't just be and one of the big Kenny's been around me long enough to
- 1:07:34know. That's why I always say some of these awards have gotten biased.
- 1:07:41How is the MVP of the NFL always a quarterback? You're not validating the
- 1:07:46trophy by doing that. You're saying the other ten twelve positions, there's nobody
- 1:07:51that dominated in that position enough to be the MVP. And the same with
- 1:07:55the Heisman. To validate certain things, it doesn't have to happen a lot.
- 1:07:59You do have to Dion was the biggest conversation. Yes, Yes,
- 1:08:03from the point of leaving Jackson State to ending up four and eight. He
- 1:08:11spent most of this year in the He got people flying to Colorado that has
- 1:08:15never been there, like it's something that they were going out there to see
- 1:08:18it like it was a new monument. He had brought back Colorado people who
- 1:08:26played there that hadn't been there, but now they want to be alumni a
- 1:08:31you know, we got people on the sideline, has no affiliation. Paul
- 1:08:39Pierce went to Kansas. What you're doing in Colorado? Not coming back like
- 1:08:45there love, not coming back like man, this stuff wasn't legal last time
- 1:08:47I was heading, So I would. I definitely go along with prime winning
- 1:08:53that University of Delaware is paying five million dollars to move from the Football Championionship
- 1:09:00Series to the Football Bowl Series, where you didn't know that's what f CS
- 1:09:06Football Championship Series to the FBS. If you're not in the FBS, you
- 1:09:15cannot win the national title because you're not in the FBS. So you also
- 1:09:25most of the bowls are FBS bowls. F CS has like one bowl they
- 1:09:30send some I think somebody to. It's just they might exactly, that's the
- 1:09:35only one to get into that bowl money, no disrespect, it's just the
- 1:09:44celebration. You're gonna see a lot of teams and that price is more of
- 1:09:51Okay, you move over, you get a decent enough bowl. You can
- 1:09:56make that money up right now next year. If you can put a product
- 1:10:00out there that can get you to most of these bowls, especially anything January
- 1:10:05first and after are paying five million dollars. There's one downside to it though,
- 1:10:12because James Madison is going through it this year. I think they are
- 1:10:15eleven and one, but they are ineligible to play in a bowl because there's
- 1:10:20like a two year probationary period after you make that transfer to FBS. Well,
- 1:10:27it's not a downside though. Well, I'm just saying they gotta they
- 1:10:29gotta wait those two years. But that's it. Yeah, rookies have to
- 1:10:32wait in the back. You can't jump the line. The rookie can't jump
- 1:10:38the line, can't they? But you see me with the run? He
- 1:10:44saw the word? Is that Shader saying as we were talking about his dad.
- 1:10:48Dion missed that last game against Utah. They found a fracturing in his
- 1:10:55back, and as you know, he was the most sacked quarterback in the
- 1:11:00league this year. He's not the biggest of guys when you look at him
- 1:11:03in a physical way, So I don't think you'll see any argument that people
- 1:11:09could believe that they found a fracture in his back. He's landed on it
- 1:11:14a lot, Yes, he did this year, some of it most of
- 1:11:17it due to the offensive line play. A lot of it due to me.
- 1:11:25They didn't run an offense to protect him. They stayed and spread too
- 1:11:30much. You can minimize things by protecting more, having more six seven man
- 1:11:36protections get the ball out quicker. They stayed more in a five wide set
- 1:11:42spread offense a lot of times. But hopefully he will And that could be
- 1:11:46someone I know as another quarterback that decommitted. I know the young man from
- 1:11:50Georgia, from Houston County decommitted. But someone else a couple of days later
- 1:11:56who were supposed to go as quarterback decommitted from Colorado. Don't know, as
- 1:12:00I just said it, know someone from the class of twenty twenty four and
- 1:12:03so on, from the class of twenty twenty five. Correct. The young
- 1:12:06man that's from the state of Georgia was the class of twenty twenty five.
- 1:12:10He's a junior. So that's how that goes. The Pop Tart Bowl,
- 1:12:16which is in Orlando. It's for real, the pop When when was the
- 1:12:21last time you had a pop tart? Oh it's been What time is it?
- 1:12:31Time is nine to twelve am. It's pop tart. It's been at
- 1:12:36least seventeen eight eighteen hours. Oh yeah, the pop tart yesterday now,
- 1:12:45oh okay, but they're around. I'm going to say they're near. I'm
- 1:12:49not going to say I eat them all the time. They're in the house.
- 1:12:53Yes, not as much as they used to be since we empty nests.
- 1:12:57Now. Well, they're kind of like twinkies, right, Yeah,
- 1:13:00it can't last a long time. They last a long time and you can
- 1:13:03kind of a twinkie is something that, depending on how your taste buddsflow,
- 1:13:09you might grab for breakfast and pop tarts, something that hey, I want
- 1:13:12a quick snack and you know, something sweet and now grab it and you
- 1:13:16know, they got different ways to serve them now and they freeze them and
- 1:13:19all that. Well, the Pop Top Bowl is in Orlando on December to
- 1:13:24twenty eighth. Last year was called the cheese It Bowl. I would imagine
- 1:13:28that cheese It and pop tartar owned by the same company, probably probably Pambo
- 1:13:33Biscos, and they just switched out names. The only thing to this is
- 1:13:39they're gonna make some edible mascot, so the winner will get to eat a
- 1:13:48mascot that's edible. Well, it's better than the Duke's Mayo Bowl, where
- 1:13:54you have to eat the mayo because they did put the spoon in the mayo
- 1:13:58and at the end. But it's the pop tark board. I used to
- 1:14:00enjoy pop tarks. They make them in a ton of fly, they make
- 1:14:04them in all time. They got them in hot Cheetos, now hot cheatos,
- 1:14:08slavery pop talk. Excuse me? Yes they doe. Yeah, that
- 1:14:12sounded like a stomach ache. It really does. We'll be don't bowl away
- 1:14:30board of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne gam Videos dumming up next. Oh

- 1:18:06Luke fifty five, Aaron Jones, the running back of the Packers is twenty
- 1:18:11nine. Monica Cellis it's the Big five. Oh, a lot of you
- 1:18:15forgot Monica Sella's her career kind of went away after a fan threw a knife
- 1:18:25and hit her in the back. Remember when that happened. One of those
- 1:18:29stories that definitely would have had so much impact in the modern day social media
- 1:18:39to be able to this was late mid nineties. So when I think when
- 1:18:44this happened to Monica sell he just leaned over and not like Nickter like stabbed
- 1:18:50her, stabbed her in the back. Yeah, And I would imagine the
- 1:18:55mental component is what come threw in the towel for her at that time.
- 1:19:02To imagine someone feeling that way about you too. And this was at a
- 1:19:09tennis match. Yeah, look at Google it and look it up. It's
- 1:19:13about Monica Sellis. S E l e s if you've forgot the story or
- 1:19:16if you've never heard of it. This was at a match. This is
- 1:19:20not somewhere she was walking. She wasn't walking home and something happened to her
- 1:19:28where somebody's just knifed her. It was at a match. Pat Fitzgerald,
- 1:19:31former head coach of Northwestern, is forty nine years old. Last I knew
- 1:19:38Pat was suing them for wrongful firing. Yes Fitzgerald, Northwestern. DeAndre Hunter

- 1:20:08as well. Ridley Scott, I was a little disappointed last night, Ridley.
- 1:20:15Napoleon you saw it, Yeah, I saw it right, didn't.
- 1:20:20You didn't do Napoleon justice for his impact on the military. You seem to
- 1:20:28be enthralled in trying to show the poetic love affair of him and his wife.
- 1:20:36But Napoleon's wait in our society, right or wrong? Was that the
- 1:20:45military tactics in which he introduced, even in seventeen ninety eighteen hundred were basically
- 1:20:56the blue prints of modern warfare, from signals to disguise to all those things
- 1:21:09that people still study. And you kind of watered over that of how that
- 1:21:16was the biggest impact that I had in studying history. Have portrayed as a
- 1:21:23lover, not a fighter, when he was a general, right, his
- 1:21:27general prowess, his game plan, his strategy of warfare was what his impact
- 1:21:34that and he was supposed to have been on the shorter side of a man.
- 1:21:41That's why they call it the Napoleonic Complex. But other than that,
- 1:21:46I never thought of. I know he was married, but maybe that's why
- 1:21:53they want to show the relationship between him and his life because nobody knew so
- 1:21:59really Scott was the director. He's eighty six and Aaron Rodgers, who has

- 1:23:11because remember, and Henry Kissinger when we was reading about him in the history

- 1:28:11I shouldn't you? And now you're right up side. Welcome back to
- 1:28:19this Spoe Shock showing the spoy Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you.
- 1:28:26Once again. We talked about Thursday night football Seattle at Dallas. That's at
- 1:28:31eight point fifteen tonight. Remember Virginia Tech taking on LSU women's basketball. The
- 1:28:39return of Angel Reese is tonight as well. Big game tomorrow night if you're
- 1:28:45in the Georgia area, I'll be calling the semi final game between the Milton
- 1:28:50Eagles and the Camden County wild Cats. In that game, a lot of
- 1:28:57college stars in that game. Elias will Williams for Camden County going to the
- 1:29:00University of Georgia. Uh. He's rated as high as the top three tight
- 1:29:05end in the country six eight to forty playing tight end, So you won't
- 1:29:11miss him. Just turn on the TV. Just turn on the TV.
- 1:29:15It's just for a second and you you ain't got to know the two teams,
- 1:29:18and you'd be like, you sound smart to your to your family or
- 1:29:23your wife or your boy. Hey man, that's Elias Williams and touch down
- 1:29:29way you know, oh man, he recruited and he's gonna be the tallest
- 1:29:34person on the field. That's NFL size yeah, six eight to what to
- 1:29:41forty, So he's stanning but he's taugh and them dudes would be leaving.
- 1:29:46Well he's he's their star basketball player too, and that's the he's supposed to
- 1:29:51go to UJ and play tight And it's a lot of man that hit.
- 1:29:58And he has the stage just six' eight. He can't grow any taller.
- 1:30:03Uh, he will have to just play basketball because he's already at the limit.
- 1:30:08Really at six eight, you start questioning, can I put him at
- 1:30:11an offensive line because it's a lot of body to let that safety hit into.
- 1:30:18I mean, you got a lot of torso right to put some of
- 1:30:21that don't come back today, right right right, I'm gonna get two of
- 1:30:28them up in here down there. Yeah, you got a lot of surface
- 1:30:31area. Most tight ends are in that six three to six sixth range six
- 1:30:38' eight. That's a lot of long body. On the other side,
- 1:30:41Wake Forest committed quarterback Jeremy Hecklenski is out there. You just got a lot
- 1:30:46of guys on defense. Walton has Wendell Gregory, he's going to South Carolina.
- 1:30:53They got Ashton Woods who plays linebacker. He's going to the University of
- 1:30:58North Carolina. The young kid, the goat Way, leato ogoat Way.
- 1:31:04I remember his name because I had to learn it to say it. But
- 1:31:08also he's going to Yale, and I forget the young man I want to
- 1:31:14say. His name is Rush. He does not want to play football.
- 1:31:18He's doing like the Myron was the kid for Florida State Iron Roll. He
- 1:31:25wants to be a doctor, but a lot of teams want him to come
- 1:31:28play football, but he's told his head coach he doesn't want. He wants
- 1:31:33to be a doctor. So he's one of the top students in the state.
- 1:31:38He wants to be a doctor. He doesn't want to go play college
- 1:31:40football. So a lot of good talent. But that game is tomorrow night,
- 1:31:45along with Oregon playing Washington for college football. But when do they feeding
- 1:31:50these kids like they already ready to be doctors and already commit I mean,
- 1:31:57you know what I'm saying. I can't get my kids off popped up.
- 1:32:00Well, there was a kid one of these schools I called. He already
- 1:32:03has his pilot license. Come on, come on, I think it was
- 1:32:09Cartersville High School. He already has his pilot's license. He wants to be
- 1:32:15a pilot, and he's already earned he can fly fly planes. He already
- 1:32:20knows how. He has a license to fly planes. Most most of us
- 1:32:25are trying to get our teenage kids to get their driver's license and drive themselves
- 1:32:30where they go. So I have to look his name up. But because
- 1:32:33I remember thinking, you call him a sign where you're at, man,
- 1:32:39I'm over Iowa. I'll be back in a couple of hours. Right,
- 1:32:43yeah, boy, I told you stop leaving the state without me. I
- 1:32:47just needed to get some some fresh air, right, they said they had.
- 1:32:51They wanted me to see the campus up in Wisconsin. So he has
- 1:32:57this pilot license. That is like one of the things that will stick with
- 1:33:00me. I gotta remember his name. But to imagine a seventeen year old
- 1:33:03kid with his pilot license just a new era. I'm reluctant to let my
- 1:33:10seventeen year old in the front yard onemost. Seventeen year old, keep back
- 1:33:15here. A great deal of seventeen year olds have never flown. And you're
- 1:33:19right, I never been rehearse, I've never been on a plane, and
- 1:33:24this kid is flying plane. Yeah, so I know. I my first
- 1:33:29I was about a Yeah, I was seventeen. I was a month out
- 1:33:34from being eighteen when I went on my recruiting trips. Right, first,
- 1:33:40time I had ever been to an airport. So this guy's already wheels up
- 1:33:45in ten by himself. Carolina Panthers have decided to part with Frank Wright.
- 1:33:54This is the biggest question. Then why did you hire him? They fired
- 1:34:00him eleven games in You know how it go, y'all like the same movies
- 1:34:06and the same songs, and then dinner be cool and you can cook,
- 1:34:11and then you look nice in a body con drest and then we end up
- 1:34:15spending the weekend together and they feel like we could be together five and then
- 1:34:18we get together and then eleven games like this, like why are we doing
- 1:34:21this? But big Kenny Kamanchi, the whole idea was, you hired Frank
- 1:34:28Wright. You was gonna pick Bryce Young and let them be a tandem and
- 1:34:36see if Frank Wright, who was a former NFL quarterback who had great success
- 1:34:42with the Coats and whoever they had a quarterback, remember the times he was
- 1:34:45there all the way back to Andrew Luck. He was thin. He was
- 1:34:48Andrew Luxy's quarterback coach, and then they made him the head coach. I'm
- 1:34:53just saying I thought the whole experiment was that we'll get Frank right in draft
- 1:35:00first pick, and then they will mess together. That's not the plan.
- 1:35:04I think they thought that, Okay, we're gonna draft Bryce Young, and
- 1:35:09that will solve all our problems. You need. What about your offensive line?
- 1:35:15What about who you have it running back? What about your defense?
- 1:35:20And but we got well, and then about these other things. I would
- 1:35:26imagine my conventional wisdom would make me think that maybe they know something we don't.
- 1:35:32Maybe what he was supposed to be able to do with Bryce Young,
- 1:35:35he tried and their chemistry is off. Maybe there're some rumblings in the locker
- 1:35:41room because it doesn't seem like the experiment lasted long enough for us to get
- 1:35:46any controlled data. We I mean, what we saw was just kind of
- 1:35:50like us spitballing ideas. Let's try this, let's try it, let's try
- 1:35:56it. Is okay, now we can see what we actually need. We
- 1:36:00could put it in the right measurements and get us something that's gonna work.
- 1:36:05But for him to be gone like games, what can be considered here is
- 1:36:12a lot of people are looking at David Tepper, the owner. He bought
- 1:36:15the team in twenty eighteen. He's had six different head coaches. See since
- 1:36:21twenty eighteen, and you're paying these people to leave you fire coach. You
- 1:36:27have to pay him his contract, right, So you're you're paying like five
- 1:36:30coaches. Does not they still the lift of their contract. You could still
- 1:36:34be paying the first right. Oh, I'm just saying, I don't know
- 1:36:38how long it's based on the deal. So that first coach was on a
- 1:36:41six year deal, you would still be paying him this year. And Tepper's
- 1:36:45on the phone with her say like, man, they're profiling us. They're
- 1:36:50profiling us many they've be telling they saying, I made wow, crazy decisions.
- 1:36:58Nobody can say that about me. I really thought you hired Frank Wright
- 1:37:01because you felt like he was a quarterback whisperer. And yeah, if it
- 1:37:06was year three, I get it. But eleven games in with a rookie
- 1:37:11quarterback who was the first pick of the draft, I don't know what your
- 1:37:15expectations were supposed to be, especially when I sit here and tell you if
- 1:37:20I asked you to who plays receiver for the Panthers, name me a receiver
- 1:37:28that plays for the Carolina Panthers. Because he first year there, Adam Feeling,
- 1:37:31the one I know, Adam Thieling, who was a veteran who has
- 1:37:35to be on a specific name. I was like the wife, I was
- 1:37:41slot receiver, wide receiver. That was at Minnesota with the Vikings. Adam
- 1:37:45Thielen, who what ten years maybe about that? So I don't know,
- 1:37:51do you know another one? And I've watched Carolina actually play and don't know
- 1:37:58on the ones I think of, like or they traded like they had Curtis
- 1:38:00Samuel they let him go. They had DJ Moore, they traded him.
- 1:38:05Uh. But who played running back for the Carolina Panthers, Big Kenny the
- 1:38:11running back? No, that's the position. What's the name of the running
- 1:38:15back? You mean his given name on his birth certificate. We hadn't met.
- 1:38:25I know the guys personally, but you know, it's it's new,
- 1:38:29it's you know, so veryce young is there. We got Adam Thielham,
- 1:38:32who probably has looked bad as their number two or you know, veteran,
- 1:38:38and we don't know the receiver. And I know one of the d linemen
- 1:38:42because he went to Auburn, the big Derrek Brown. He's up there.
- 1:38:47He's pretty good. Brian. Uh. But that's what I'm saying. We're
- 1:38:51having that we're having to go through a rolodex of ideas to come up with
- 1:38:56a couple of players, and you're mad at Frank Wright and you fired him.
- 1:39:00Just interesting situation. Hugh Jackson is out at Grambling offensive coordinator of mine
- 1:39:06one year with the Falcon. Hugh Jackson, he's been at Grambling about four
- 1:39:14years now, got hired there around the same time. Two just years.
- 1:39:18Two years longer than eleven games. Don't hate I'm saying it's longer than eleven
- 1:39:24games. So this week has been that kind of week. And you had
- 1:39:28a question about Hugh Jackson. Well, you said, whether their expectations of
- 1:39:31expectations of HBCUs that are making these splash hires, trying to get the same
- 1:39:40kind of success that Jackson State had with dionn Sanders. Well, they're hoping
- 1:39:44the notoriety like they did with Dion Hugh Jackson with no assistance that he could
- 1:39:50bring in that could attract the kids. So from this time of being an
- 1:39:55offensive coordinator, you imagine maybe he was the offensive coordinator of two three big
- 1:40:00name players that maybe he could add to his coaching staff and some young player
- 1:40:08would be inspired. I think that Hugh Jackson was a great hire from them.
- 1:40:14I don't know. Did he step away, did they fire they fired
- 1:40:17him? Hmm. I don't know who else would be credential to be able
- 1:40:24to Yeah, grambling out there acting like they just got people lined up trying
- 1:40:28to coach over there. Come on, man, it's like, come on,
- 1:40:30man, we'll be back with more than sports. Oh man, Hey,
- 1:40:34little Sonny, I'm glad you got rid of that dude looking for my
- 1:40:39note first man, I won't go man up and she's upside like so up
- 1:40:46down with dog. I love to bring you in. Don't go Awayne Born

- 1:43:04Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to y'aut there Thursday night football Seahawks Cowboys tonight,
- 1:43:12l s U Women's team versus Virginia Tech tonight. The big story of
- 1:43:15that is Angel Reese's back, Commanchi Greg. Earlier, we were talking about
- 1:43:20the pop Tart Bowl that's on December to twenty eighth. Uh, and Orlando
- 1:43:26used to be the cheese at Bowl last year. Big Kenny I did say
- 1:43:30he's enjoyed the taste of pop tarts. I forgot to ask you because you
- 1:43:34and your aura seems like the pop tart would be beneath you. Have you
- 1:43:41ever had a pop tart? What I'm saying with Hote wants see he got
- 1:43:50he got to heat up some icing and then pull it over. And that's
- 1:43:55why I knew he looks like the kind of guy that h pop tart is
- 1:43:58beneath him. So now I gotta go out and get us a box of
- 1:44:00pop tarts. I sit down with my pop tarts and he what flavor y'all
- 1:44:04want next week? Oh? I'm no, No, that's horrible that's horrible.
- 1:44:13Pop tarts are pretty it's hard to mess them up. You know what
- 1:44:15I'm saying. Any flavor can go. Strawberry, I love the okay,
- 1:44:20strawberry command you okay with strawberry. You want something or s'mores. They have
- 1:44:28the smartest flavoring. Okay, it's pretty good too. More flavor. Okay,
- 1:44:32pick up a couple of boxes, bring a toaster, and we'll see
- 1:44:36what the new pop tarts. I haven't had it one in a while.
- 1:44:40I bring me some almond milk, mam babe. Now no see, now
- 1:44:44see, that's what I'm saying. If he can do hello, no no,
- 1:44:46no, no no, no, no no no. And that's still
- 1:44:49frozen in the box and I put it in the toaster. That sounds that
- 1:44:54sounds so Unamerican though, pop tart with almond American registered on the Communist I
- 1:45:04said that on the air and somewhere in the algorithms Kenny Communism. That didn't
- 1:45:15even sound like the pop tart. And it seemed like you got a big
- 1:45:19one of the other pop tart was many have the almond milk and some seaweed,
- 1:45:25or have a pop tart and a coke. But you can't have almond
- 1:45:29milk. Like I'm gonna be conscious, kind of conscious with the pop tart,
- 1:45:34but I'll pick up and because commands you sound like have you ever had
- 1:45:38one or you were just always toasted. I've had that pop tarts before,
- 1:45:43and I maybe I don't think I've ever had a toast toasted screwdle gone back
- 1:45:50and forth between and the frozen section next to the eggoes, because the pop
- 1:45:57tart was versatile in the sense and you didn't have to you didn't do much
- 1:46:00to it exactly. You didn't even have to put it in in the microwave
- 1:46:04or the toast toaster. That's correct, grab and walk, got the door,
- 1:46:06which is which is what made me go back from the toast, because
- 1:46:12toaster strudele was high maintenance. It was you gotta keep you gotta keep it
- 1:46:16in the freezer and when it come out to freeze, you gotta put it
- 1:46:19right in the toast. Can't let it linger next to the toaster for a
- 1:46:24couple and you say you have to warm up the icing. The icing has
- 1:46:27to be warmed separately. Oh see, I know I never now, I
- 1:46:30know I've never had one, because I've never I never went through that whole
- 1:46:33process. There's two steps. Yeah, it was just by honey bump when
- 1:46:38and yeah, all you gotta do is just but with the pop tark just
- 1:46:42reaching there, grab pack and go and just go you out the door.
- 1:46:47Pickleball was played on the good Year Blimp, fifteen hundred feet high. They
- 1:46:54set up a small, tiny pickleball court inside the Goodyear Blimp for unknown reasons.
- 1:47:03I don't know. I guess they are. The blimp was on Sunday
- 1:47:08at the Professional Pickleball Association finals. Excuse me, they're going to start the
- 1:47:14finals today, but they had started the tournament on Sunday. But at some
- 1:47:20point I guess they set up a little court inside inside, not in the
- 1:47:25part because people are thinking, not with the man, but in the part
- 1:47:30where the people are supposed to sit in the blimp. They put a pickleball
- 1:47:33court in there because on one because we we didn't know we needed that.
- 1:47:42Someone did it because the world needed it, and now we have it.
- 1:47:46Yeah, so they could be in the history books somebody played pickleball in there.
- 1:47:50Who's in charge of that? How can I apply for that job?
- 1:47:54Like? I want to be the guy that decides what kind of stunts we
- 1:47:58pull on the blimp. I'm saying that that you don't just show up on
- 1:48:03some Hey, yo, what y'all think about us putting the pickleball? It
- 1:48:06has to be planned out. So who's the guy that plans the stunts that
- 1:48:11they're going to have on the blimp. I think I thought they was marketing
- 1:48:15the tiny maybe trying to get people to start buying a tiny version of the
- 1:48:20pickleball court that you can just kind of put anywhere. Put it where most
- 1:48:25people have home basketball courts. You can now have it on your driveway kind
- 1:48:30of thing. Well, I know I'm talking about you know, even in
- 1:48:31a little room. Oh, because if you think about the area that you
- 1:48:35have inside the Goodyear blimp. Yeah, the little small area that's under the
- 1:48:41big blimp, it's about what maybe eight by eight or something like that.
- 1:48:45It's not a big section. And I'm seeing, look at the picture here,
- 1:48:51it might be like six by four. Now it's smaller than this table.
- 1:49:00Now is that just because we always see the blimp from far away that
- 1:49:03it looks so small or is it that small up close? It looks that
- 1:49:08small up close, and so you think this is a uh and then two
- 1:49:13seats where that people are steering. The go to Christmas gift will be living
- 1:49:16room pickleball. You can put it anywhere, you can adjust it to any
- 1:49:21room. And just but I thought that was called table tennis what I'm saying
- 1:49:30now, But if you're willing to let me put a spin on it and
- 1:49:33call it pickleball, then I'll sell it to you again. You could put
- 1:49:38my pickleball set next to your table tennis. So we'll be back. We're
- 1:49:43more than a sports stock show. Right after this, don't go away.
- 1:50:01More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gambidias coming up next. And now

- 1:51:42Wayne Gandy. Now it's time for the school board. Can we put
- 1:51:47a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on The Sports Jack Show
- 1:51:56with Wayne Gandy. Welcome back to the show. I'm this one shot,
- 1:52:11Twayne Candy. The NFL has pulled the credentials of the video graphicker who celebrated
- 1:52:17with my ammy's receiver, Tyreek Hill. Remember when Tuerreek Hill a couple of
- 1:52:26games ago, did that he scored in Miami. Did that flip with the
- 1:52:30phone that he held in his hand, right, Yeah, you gotta go
- 1:52:33that forgiving them the phone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm a videographer
- 1:52:38though, and that's what I'm supposed to call You were posed to catch it.
- 1:52:43I'm saying I gave itv I'm groundbreaking, like Scarsese or Coppola, one
- 1:52:49of those dudes. We gave you a credential to do the filming, not
- 1:52:54to supply Tyreek Hill with props. I'm black. I like orson Wales.
- 1:53:00Though in my thinking, I'm like, years in the future, all NFL
- 1:53:05coverage will have a player holding my phone. Well, the twenty two year
- 1:53:13old no longer has his credentials to be down on the field to take video
- 1:53:18or picture, So he's probably out of a job because because nobody wants the
- 1:53:23pictures from the stands. I'm sure. I mean, I mean, that's
- 1:53:27probably what kept him. Well, I'm gonna tell you this, when I
- 1:53:29saw the play, I knew they were going to fire the guy. Me
- 1:53:32too, because he gave it to me too. Friends, if Tyreek kick
- 1:53:36went over there and tuck it out of his hand and did it, but
- 1:53:41he actually gave it to him. And now, and I'm not sure that
- 1:53:45they hadn't talked about it, and this store down there, they had,
- 1:53:48oh say this. This is the thing. Though, We're seeing more and
- 1:53:56more of this where people in positions of access are willing to risk all of
- 1:54:01that and lose it for that one viral moment, for that moment that they
- 1:54:05feels like, well, catapult him to the next level of what it is,
- 1:54:10because I'm sure now he thinks he's going to be the videographer to the
- 1:54:13stars. You know what I'm saying. I got fired from down there,
- 1:54:16but surely they want me somewhere else. Lebron James even has commented that he
- 1:54:28thinks that it isn't that serious. Now use a curse word, but he
- 1:54:32blasts the NFL for banning the cameraman, saying that it's not that serious.
- 1:54:40I think from the NFL perspective, it becomes what if something else happened,
- 1:54:45right, what if Tyreek Hill had gotten hurt, broken, the camera fell
- 1:54:48on the camera, anything, Because at any point the NFL becomes responsible,
- 1:54:55yes, of this kind of stuff, and you you're not supposed to have
- 1:55:01some, especially if they found out you helped him where. You're not supposed
- 1:55:05to use props anyway, So you're not supposed to bring anything foreign as a
- 1:55:10player onto the field. So I understand now you don't have to ban him
- 1:55:16for life, but I do understand what they are saying. Now you're not
- 1:55:25supposed to bring any foreign prop onto the field as a player. That's understood
- 1:55:29before you run out of the locker room. Correct. The people with credentials
- 1:55:32have a set of rules and regulations they have to follow as well, I
- 1:55:35imagine, And that's what I'm saying. Since Greg has enlightened me, I'm
- 1:55:40quite sure you planning this with that video person. That video person is supposed
- 1:55:44to be there as an NFL in vit, not as someone to help Tyreek
- 1:55:49heal. So I score a touchdown, I go snatch the pumpoms out of
- 1:55:55command. You Greg's hand. That's on me, manchie Greg being already set
- 1:56:01up over there with something a foghorn for me to shoot off is what they're
- 1:56:09saying. You can't have the people that you give media condentials conspiring with the
- 1:56:16people on the talent. I think would be the best way to put it
- 1:56:23in this situation. Is it lighthearted? Was it fun? Sure? But
- 1:56:28I for to find out that he was actually their friends and he actually set
- 1:56:31it up that way, then you look like, what was the guy for
- 1:56:36James Brown that put the row bone? Eddie? I had it, I
- 1:56:45got it touchdown, man, I'm musa cat to touchdown on thinking. So
- 1:56:50that's what you end up in that situation. So I understand they have to
- 1:56:55set a precedent and make sure nobody else joins in with this. Yeah,
- 1:57:00yeah, because pretty soon it'll be the battle of the sideline stunts or the
- 1:57:08end zone stunts, like see who we can get to bring something to make
- 1:57:11us and they'll be, you know, dunking over keys. We've seen as
- 1:57:16soon as I score out, we've seen how far it can go, and
- 1:57:23we're gonna get so much endorsement watch from this. So I had a third
- 1:57:27thing. I've been going to a lot of sporting events. Even went to
- 1:57:30the movies last night. And I know when I went to Iron Bowl,
- 1:57:32when I went to uh the UH Saints Falcons game on Sunday, Yes,
- 1:57:39went to see the Napoleon movie. Gentlemen, wash your hands, y'all on
- 1:57:46went back to the pre COVID time. Now people just using the restroom walking
- 1:57:50out COVID hit. Y'all were in there scrubbing the skin off your hands,
- 1:57:55grubbing the skin off your hands, scared touch each other, walking in the
- 1:57:58back. Everybody had me wonder, what were you doing before cold did y'all
- 1:58:02never do this? This new everybody and commands y'all been noticed. They walked
- 1:58:05right back out and went right back to that bad tactic of using the urinal
- 1:58:13or coming out the stall and walking right out. Let's not go back to
- 1:58:18that, please, right right. I don't know if that was a contributing
- 1:58:24factor, No, I do not, but I do know when they told
- 1:58:28everybody that it was contributing. The wash hand line was long. You gotta
- 1:58:32wait, it was, and you might have to just wind dry because everybody
- 1:58:36don't used up the paper tower. You just in there splashing the water off
- 1:58:41your hands. But let's not go back. Don't backtrack on me. Come
- 1:58:45match, Yeah, and we are in the ocean. The truth is he
- 1:58:57will throw your in the Ocean's time to wrap things up on the Sports Judge
- 1:59:01Show with Wayne Candy. When you are designs of the Ocean, it gives
- 1:59:26a Sports Shock Jess a minute to Vin. Would like to thank you for
- 1:59:29tuning in to today's show. Thank you for your contribution, Big Kenny command

- 1:59:48gotta throw in the ocean, even though most likely you are correct. Michelle
- 1:59:57Shazier, the wife of Ryan, says, here you remember Ryan Pittsburgh stiller
- 2:00:04career came to an end over a spinal cord injury back in twenty seventeen.
- 2:00:12We watched him go from basically being paralyzed to walking and inspiring a nation.
- 2:00:20Well, Michelle says that Ryan is a liar and a cheater, which is
- 2:00:29cool to say, Michelle, but not necessarily needed to expose Ryan and your
- 2:00:36kids because you called him a liar, and you said he's not a good
- 2:00:40father. But what does recording his text messages and making them readily available for
- 2:00:46the public do for you and your kids? I know hell has no fury
- 2:00:54like a woman's scorn, but just walk away in peace. Don't expose you,
- 2:01:00your kids and whatever you and Mayan had at one point to the scrutiny
- 2:01:06of having people go through text messages and recordings that you have put out.
- 2:01:12You can't take that path. When you stop being mad, you won't ever
- 2:01:17be able to retrieve that. It's out there now. I know breaks up
- 2:01:23break ups a hall, but they can still be civil. But for that,
- 2:01:30Michelle Shazil, fuck up, Plank. We don't you have a great
- 2:01:45weekend watching sports. Hope your team wins if you're cheering, if you're home
- 2:01:50like Auburn Southern miss and whoever commands you, Greg follows you know, the
- 2:01:59only life the Cowboys, you like somebody in cottage but Florida State. Yeah,
- 2:02:02you see how you're a front runner, said now it is Florida Shades
- 2:02:05of bad producer, run the spot, shout show. We'll see you in
- 2:02:13the future. Peace,
