• 0:08
Speaker 1: Welcome to the Become who you Are podcast, the production of the John Paul 2 Renewal Center.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: I'm Jack Riginger, host, and I have a message for you, for all of you who tune in every Wednesday as we unpack the audiences of St John Paul II theology the body.
• 0:22
Speaker 1: What an incredible body of work.
• 0:25
Speaker 1: This was Such a blessing to us, especially in these confusing times that we're seeing today.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: But just a heads up that usually Linda and I are recording on Tuesdays and this and then the live session comes out.
• 0:40
Speaker 1: The podcast comes out on Wednesdays, of course, but this Monday and Tuesday I was traveling and I never got to a spot where I can record with Linda.
• 0:48
Speaker 1: So I just want to apologize to everybody, say that we'll be hopefully catching up on the next episode on next Wednesday and in the meantime, poke around a little bit, find an episode that you haven't listened to before and use that as a filler, and God bless you.
• 1:04
Speaker 1: What a bunch of crazy times, how things that are going on in Israel, ukraine, of course, the United States, all over the world.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: So stay with prayer.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: You know, there's never been more of a time that I have just more of a conviction in the power of Jesus Christ and, in my faith, to change the world, and it's the only thing that's going to have the power to do that, because there's certainly a lot of this hydra of evil huh Just just raising its ugly head all over the world.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: As long as I've got you for a couple of minutes here, I would just say you know I speak to a lot of people.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: I'm very lucky in what I do every day with the John Paul to Renewal Center in my podcast, and I go out and presentations, in emails and texts and phone calls with people all over the all over the country A lot of think tanks and different things like that, and we all have a sense, I would say, in general, we all have a sense that things.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: I wish I could be more optimistic here, but I'll have a sense that things are going to get worse before they get better.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: I start, I think we're sensing that, and the reason is we've really just rejected God and of course, not you listeners that are listening to this and there is a remnant of faithful there's no doubt about it A very strong faithful and different pockets all over the world, and so you know, when we're looking out, though, at the world in general the Western.
• 2:26
Speaker 1: The Western world has rejected Christianity.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: It's rejected Jesus Christ to a large, large extent and the faith that you see it under attack all over the world.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: And again, where it's not under attack, apathy and just a total rejection of Jesus Christ has manifested itself in the world.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: And this cannot stand.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: And so we're seeing that right now, you know, as we even, as we go around trying to wake people up with stolen innocence, this presentation we give to people just in the communities, trying to wake parents up, trying to wake community leaders up to what's going on in our schools, and people just don't wake up.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: It's very difficult to get people to take action.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: When they do, we all kind of want to just bury our heads in the sand and look at I don't blame people, but at the end of the day, look at, it's going to take courage, it's going to take strength, it's going to take supernatural grace for this to turn around.
• 3:18
Speaker 1: So what can we do right now?
• 3:19
Speaker 1: We have to just stand in the void, don't we?
• 3:21
Speaker 1: You know, we have to go deeply into prayer, receive the sacraments and then we have to take that out in the world.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: You know, it's really through our action, through our body and soul being filled up with grace.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: That gives us the potential for human flourishing.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: And then we have to take action.
• 3:35
Speaker 1: We have to bring what's true, what's good and what's beautiful into the world.
• 3:39
Speaker 1: So every day, read scripture.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: I think one of the best ways to read scripture is following the Magnificat which follows the Daily Mass, because then you get an Old Testament reading a New Testament, reading the Psalms, so much richness with the saints and the meditations that they do.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: And so this is just a power pact.
• 3:58
Speaker 1: And for 1995, I get it on my iPad a year 1995, it's the, it's the probably the biggest sale in the history of mankind for the resources that it brings.
• 4:11
Speaker 1: So go deeply into prayer, be receiving the sacraments, often confession once a month, if you can, the Eucharist of course, at least on Sundays, but hopefully you can get the Mass once or twice during the week, if not every day.
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: Very powerful stuff.
• 4:26
Speaker 1: The Rosary every day I do a series of prayers, what's called the Auxilium Christianoarm prayers, and those prayers are for exorcists and the people that the exorcists are working with, and also for the Auxilium Christianoarm community, which there are all of us that are praying these series of prayers every day.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: They've been just powerful for me over the last years.
• 4:48
Speaker 1: There's so much demonic activity I would really, I really think that maybe you want to look into those.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: If you're taking your prayer life seriously, you need a priest to okay that.
• 4:58
Speaker 1: There's an app you can get for your phone.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: Just make sure you get the one not for priests, but for the lady.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: Hey, god bless you.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: Keep me in your prayers and I'll keep you in mind.
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: Thanks, everybody.
• 5:07
Speaker 1: Talk to you again soon.
