- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. Senator Ron Wyden has spent the better part
- 0:09of the year telling us about Epstein's deep ties to
- 0:12the financial sector. But there's one little part that he
- 0:16has left out, and that part is his own son,
- 0:20Adam Widen, had his own connections to Jeffrey Epstein, and
- 0:25in twenty sixteen, Adam Widen and his firm adw Capital
- 0:32tried to get some money from Jeffrey Epstein. And of
- 0:35course that's after Jeffrey Epstein was already arrested for crimes
- 0:39against miners. But of course that didn't matter, did it,
- 0:42Because for people like this, it's always profits over people.
- 0:47And make no mistake, this is what makes people cynical
- 0:50about the whole situation. How can you take somebody serious
- 0:54when their own kid was trying to get money from
- 0:57the same guy that you're going crazy about. Did you
- 1:01have that conversation with your son and before airing out
- 1:04Leon Black, you should have ered out your own kid. Now,
- 1:07of course you can air out Leon Black as well,
- 1:10but don't try and play games. Don't try and you know,
- 1:13act like your own son had nothing to do with Epstein.
- 1:17So today we have an article from the New York
- 1:19Post and the headline unearthed emails revealed Democratic Senator's son
- 1:24wanted Epstein to join his fund. I enjoyed our conversation.
- 1:29This article was authored by Alec Shemel and Cameron Cawthorne.
- 1:37Senator Ron Wyden has spent months hammering President Trump and
- 1:41his Justice Department over their handling of Jeffrey Epstein records,
- 1:45accusing them of trying to sweep evidence under the rug,
- 1:48and even teasing that has followed. The money work ties
- 1:51back to Donald Trump, and Senator Wyden has been very
- 1:55adamant that he believes that the paper trail will lead
- 1:59back to Donald Trump. And look, he might be right,
- 2:02but one thing that we know for sure is that
- 2:04the financial trail leads to his son. So that's where
- 2:08the conversation should have started. Because if you want to
- 2:11be taken seriously and not look like you're just engaged
- 2:14in a hatchet job, you have to treat everybody the same,
- 2:18whether it's your son or your most heated, hated political rival.
- 2:22And if you can't do that, then you should have
- 2:25nothing to do with this case. Because this case calls
- 2:29for serious adults who are willing to stash their confirmation
- 2:33bias and follow the evidence wherever it goes. But unfortunately
- 2:37we're stuck with wholly unserious people who like to play games. However,
- 2:43email's reviewed by Fox News Digital in the doj Epstein
- 2:47files show Widen's own family connection in April twenty sixteen
- 2:51appointment at Epstein's Manhattan mansion between his son Adam and
- 2:55the disgraced financier. So look, obviously there's levels here. Leon
- 3:01Black was much more connected intimately to Jeffrey Epstein than
- 3:06Senator Widen's son. There's no dispute. That's just a fact.
- 3:11But I don't think that's the issue. I think the
- 3:13issue is that Senator Widen has been very vocal when
- 3:17it comes to the financial angle of what was going
- 3:19down with Jeffrey Epstein. And if you're going to be
- 3:22vocal about something like this, you have to be unimpeachable
- 3:26because you know you're going to have oppo research being
- 3:29run against you and the other side is going to
- 3:32look for anything that they can possibly use against you.
- 3:36And if your own son is in the files, that's
- 3:39what we call leverage. An email chain from late April
- 3:43twenty sixteen after it was already public that Epstein was
- 3:47a convicted child sex offender and was accused of operating
- 3:51an underage sex slave ring shows. Adam Widen sought investment
- 3:54backing from Epstein during a meeting at Epstein's home in Manhattan,
- 3:59where at Ristein allegedly engaged in some of his criminal activity. Boy,
- 4:03isn't Fox News brave allegedly engaged? Huh? I mean it
- 4:08might have happened. We don't know. Such an absolute joke.
- 4:11They know, and they also know that it wasn't alleged.
- 4:16A lot of abuse occurred in New York, not alleged abuse.
- 4:19I mean, as anyone actually doubting that Epstein was abusing
- 4:22girls in New York. Notice how they'll say alleged here.
- 4:26But then when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein's death in jail,
- 4:30they'll say that he died by suicide. No alleged, just
- 4:33he died by suicide. But sure, let's say alleged here.
- 4:36The senator's son founded his own private investment fund, adw
- 4:40Capital in twenty ten. Jeffrey, I wanted to thank you
- 4:45for taking the time to meet with me. I thoroughly
- 4:47enjoyed our conversation, and hope my passion and dedication for
- 4:51my business came through in the meeting. I live and
- 4:55breathe this business and take my returns, integrity, and reputation
- 4:59quite seriously. Yeah, I take my reputation so seriously that
- 5:04I'm reaching out to a child sex offender to join
- 5:07my hedge fund. I mean nothing screams that you care
- 5:09about your integrity and your reputation like soliciting business from
- 5:13a child sex offender. Other emails inside the tranch of
- 5:17Epstein documents released by the DOJ shoe Epstein and the
- 5:20younger Widen, communicating about a time and a location for
- 5:24the meeting. Meanwhile, another document appearing to be a ledger
- 5:28of Epstein's deli engagements and activities on April twenty eighth,
- 5:32twenty sixteen, marks the meeting is taking place at ten
- 5:36am that day. Now imagine brain the way that Senator
- 5:40Widen has and your own son is showing up with
- 5:43a beggara bull trying to get Jeffrey Epstein as part
- 5:45of his fund. The whole thing's disgusting, and it plays
- 5:50right into the hands of people trying to call it
- 5:52a hoax, because when you're not serious, and when you're
- 5:55dishonest and you're only playing politics here, you're causing great
- 6:00damage to not only the case, but to the survivors.
- 6:03Because the only way that we're ever going to get
- 6:06real justice or hold anybody accountable is if it's bipartisan.
- 6:11And when you have people like Ron Wyden, who has
- 6:13a personal connection to what's going on here, trying to
- 6:16lob grenades at the other side while not taking any
- 6:19accountability for his own son, it's a big problem, and
- 6:23it certainly chips away at the credibility of what we're
- 6:26trying to accomplish. The same scheduling document also describes the
- 6:31young Widen in parentheses as Jonathan Farcas's friend. Farcas appears
- 6:36to refer to the husband of President Trump's ambassador at
- 6:39al Malta and the brother of Andrew Farcas, who had
- 6:43a profound friendship and business ties with Epstein. According to
- 6:47The New York Times, I don't speak to my kids
- 6:50about their business activities, and I read about this a
- 6:53few months ago on social media like everybody else, Senator
- 6:57Wyden said in a statement to Fox News Digital when
- 7:00for comment, my investigation began four years ago and continues unchanged.
- 7:05I want transparency and accountability across the board. Well, if
- 7:10you knew about this, why didn't you come out right
- 7:12away and say, look, my son's caught up in this.
- 7:14He tried to get money from Epstein and explain the situation,
- 7:18but instead it comes out like this, and it makes
- 7:20it look like Senator Widen's hiding things. Adam did not
- 7:23respond to Fox News Digital request for comment in time
- 7:26for publication. Widen has repeatedly hammered the Trump administration over
- 7:32access to Epstein related records and argued his follow the
- 7:36Money investigation ties back to Donald Trump. And just to
- 7:40be clear, Senator Wyden hasn't shown us any of that evidence. Now,
- 7:45if we're talking about leon Black one hundred percent one
- 7:48hundred percent, but the allegations about it tying back to Trump,
- 7:53I haven't seen the evidence yet. If somebody has that evidence,
- 7:57the actual paper trail, I'd love to see it because
- 8:00that's a banger, right, That's the kind of thing that
- 8:03can lead to a conviction. So I'd love to see that.
- 8:06But we have to deal in reality. Right. It's one
- 8:09thing to hope and wish that things are going to
- 8:11change or things are going to be this way or
- 8:14that way, and then of course there's the reality that
- 8:17we're forced to live in. And even when evidence is presented,
- 8:21some people are so caught up in that confirmation bias
- 8:25that they refuse to follow the evidence wherever it leads.
- 8:28And that state of denial is only hardened when you
- 8:31have situations like this pop up. When you have people
- 8:34out there that already are on the fence about, you know,
- 8:38the legitimacy of what the Senate or Congress is doing
- 8:41when it comes to Ebstein, and then something like this
- 8:44pops up where Senator Widen is not being truthful or
- 8:48hasn't been forthcoming about his own family's relationship. It really
- 8:52neecaps Senator Widen's credibility. And when we're talking about this
- 8:56topic specifically, your credibility is the only currency that you have.
- 9:03One of the most important questions that comes out of
- 9:06this is why we're America's leading banks, a number of
- 9:09them basically sleepwalking throughout this whole Epstein matter, Wyden said
- 9:13in a video chronicling his probe into the Epstein scandal.
- 9:17As the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, they
- 9:20should have been watchdogging this. They should have brought law
- 9:24enforcement what they believed was going on. Well, I can't
- 9:28disagree with that, right. I think it's true. The banks
- 9:31played a gigantic role here, and their willingness to look
- 9:35the other way allow Jeffrey Epstein to operate for as
- 9:39long as he did, and it led to countless women
- 9:42and girls being abused. Widen also touted his plan to
- 9:48author a bill that would hold banks accountable in the
- 9:50future if they turned a blind eye to such a
- 9:53legal activity. Well, that would be nice. Imagine holding the
- 9:57banks accountable for once, good lord, that would be a change.
- 10:01At the time of the April twenty sixteen meeting between
- 10:04Epstein and the senator's son, Epstein was already a convicted
- 10:08sex offender who had pleaded guilty in Florida to sexually
- 10:11abusing a minor, and the Palm Beach investigation that led
- 10:15to Epstein's plea had identified dozens of possible Epstein victims,
- 10:20many which were reportedly minors, possible victims, And it all
- 10:25goes back to that initial investigation. And that's why I'm
- 10:28so adamant and so vocal about how shitty that investigation was,
- 10:33because that's the basis people use to say that this
- 10:36whole thing's overblown. Oh, it was one girl, she was
- 10:39about to turn eighteen. What the fuck kind of drugs
- 10:42are you on? Are you smoking LSD and queludes? Because
- 10:47if you think that it was only one girl and
- 10:49she was seventeen about to turn eighteen, you're crazy. That
- 10:54is not what the evidence showed. What the evidence shows
- 10:57us is that the prosecution and the federal government conspired
- 11:01with Epstein to give him that NPA. That's what the
- 11:05evidence shows. And if we want to get to the
- 11:08bottom of this, if we want real accountability for people
- 11:11that were involved, we have to start at ground zero.
- 11:15And ground zero here is most certainly Palm Beach. But
- 11:18as far as the story at hand, it's terrible when
- 11:21we're talking about optics. If you're sitting on the Senate
- 11:26and you're demanding everybody else be accountable, everybody else show
- 11:29full transparency, and your own son is outed as somebody
- 11:33trying to get funds from Epstein after he was already
- 11:36convicted as a child abuser. My advice to Senator Widen
- 11:40cleans up his own backyard before popping his head over
- 11:43the wall and complaining about his neighbors. All the Information
