Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / Floki Meme Coin Project Update🟠INTERVIEW
Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: Today let's dive into a little bit about the meme
- 0:09Speaker 1: coin market what it's going to look like. I think
- 0:11Speaker 1: you guys want to check this one out. My name
- 0:13Speaker 1: is Paul Baron. Welcome back in the tech path. Today
- 0:15Speaker 1: we're going to be diving in on the project Floky.
- 0:18Speaker 1: This course is a channel partner of PBN and we
- 0:21Speaker 1: wanted to understand a little bit more how communities are built,
- 0:23Speaker 1: how the meme coin market could progress around twenty twenty five,
- 0:28Speaker 1: and I wanted to invite pedro Vidal from Floky into
- 0:31Speaker 1: the show.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Paul, thank you so much for having us on. It's
- 0:33Speaker 2: always a good day when we get to talk about
- 0:35Speaker 2: all the great work we're doing that Floky. So essentially,
- 0:39Speaker 2: floky's a community run project. We've been around since twenty
- 0:42Speaker 2: twenty one, and oddly enough, we're actually the first community takeover,
- 0:47Speaker 2: so i'll it's become kind of like a buzz with CTOs.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Floky actually pioneered the movement and there's been a series
- 0:55Speaker 2: of challenges that we've had to overcome, which many in
- 0:58Speaker 2: the blockchain space have had to do over the last
- 1:00Speaker 2: couple of years. But in terms of our growth and
- 1:04Speaker 2: what we've been able to do with these last couple
- 1:06Speaker 2: of years, was essentially be able to grow from our origins.
- 1:10Speaker 2: And if you know a little bit about our history,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and for those that may not do a quick recap,
- 1:16Speaker 2: we were actually rub pulled by our original developer and
- 1:19Speaker 2: the second developer that came in also right left with
- 1:22Speaker 2: the funds. So I left our community without a developer.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And many projects don't make it of that position, and
- 1:31Speaker 2: there's many projects that are in the blockchain grave, so
- 1:34Speaker 2: to speak. But it's a true testament to the power
- 1:37Speaker 2: of our community and our current core team that we're
- 1:40Speaker 2: able to essentially provide as guidance and the community wanted
- 1:45Speaker 2: to do something special and out of that is the
- 1:48Speaker 2: flowky as we know it today. Now. It certainly hasn't
- 1:52Speaker 2: been easy to get to where we are, but I
- 1:54Speaker 2: think it's important to understand what our secret sauces right
- 1:59Speaker 2: and from the very beginning, we wanted to be different.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So in order to be different, we had to tackle
- 2:04Speaker 2: some of the big problems in blockchain, because most projects
- 2:07Speaker 2: they want to be relevant but not necessarily effective, and
- 2:10Speaker 2: we like to think that we follow a dual prong
- 2:12Speaker 2: approach where we can be innovative in the space but
- 2:15Speaker 2: not lose our meme origins. But in order to do that,
- 2:19Speaker 2: we had to tackle some serious problems. Right first, we
- 2:22Speaker 2: look at blockchain gaming. It's been plagued with the economy
- 2:24Speaker 2: that's not sustainable, the play earned mechanics aren't always sound.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So we decided, Okay, we're going to tackle this and
- 2:31Speaker 2: we're going to create a game that's able to improve
- 2:34Speaker 2: upon existing technology. But beyond that, we're going to do
- 2:38Speaker 2: all these other offerings. So we're going to get into
- 2:40Speaker 2: the DeFi space, we're going to get into tokenization, we're
- 2:42Speaker 2: going to get into education, and we're going to have
- 2:44Speaker 2: a chance to talk about that a little bit more
- 2:47Speaker 2: during our conversation. But that's how we've been able to
- 2:50Speaker 2: get here is by constantly pushing the boundaries, not following
- 2:54Speaker 2: anyone's lead, being the world's first and many different silos,
- 2:58Speaker 2: and honestly showing the world what's possible with a project
- 3:03Speaker 2: that's born in the meme space that's focused on utility.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Well, the thing that is interesting to me if you
- 3:08Speaker 1: look at the just the lineup of the top market
- 3:11Speaker 1: cap tokens out there, Floky obviously coming in right below Bank,
- 3:15Speaker 1: You've got Pepe in Heirshiva, and of course Dojia. All
- 3:17Speaker 1: these are legendary tokens. You know, from the meme standpoint,
- 3:20Speaker 1: that's impressive to see a community be so strong, especially
- 3:24Speaker 1: under the circumstances that you guys came in from. But
- 3:27Speaker 1: interesting to me is also the fact that you've expanded
- 3:29Speaker 1: into some different areas in terms of the ecosystem. Within that,
- 3:33Speaker 1: there was a couple of points.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I wanted to hit on.
- 3:36Speaker 1: We've talked a little bit about Vohalla in the past,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you referenced a little bit about the game. We'll talk
- 3:40Speaker 1: about token Fi. But first of all, was it the
- 3:43Speaker 1: community that was really driving Floky to expand the ecosystem
- 3:49Speaker 1: into some new areas or was this something that the
- 3:52Speaker 1: devs and some of the key team leads wanted to
- 3:55Speaker 1: do on their own.
- 3:55Speaker 3: What was the driver behind that?
- 3:58Speaker 2: Well, initially one we started to actually pick up the
- 4:02Speaker 2: pieces from the previous two developers. We wanted to make
- 4:05Speaker 2: sure that the community had power in the direction of
- 4:08Speaker 2: the project. While many projects talk about that, we actually
- 4:12Speaker 2: put it into action. We were actually governed by a doubt.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So when you look at some of the most strategic
- 4:18Speaker 2: decisions that have guided us to where we are today.
- 4:20Speaker 2: They've actually been influenced by a Dow proposal and the
- 4:24Speaker 2: subsequent approval of that doubt so the first utility offering
- 4:28Speaker 2: of Valhalla. Once that was announced, it takes several years
- 4:32Speaker 2: to put out a good game, right because you could
- 4:33Speaker 2: fix the playdarn mechanics. You can make an economy that
- 4:36Speaker 2: is sustainable, but if it's not fun, what's the point. Right?
- 4:40Speaker 2: We want to be able to have our cake and
- 4:42Speaker 2: eat it too. But it was very important for us
- 4:45Speaker 2: to have our finger on the posts on what's important
- 4:47Speaker 2: to our community, and we try to meet them where
- 4:50Speaker 2: they are. So we're very data driven in terms of
- 4:52Speaker 2: our marketing and our strategic alliances. But we were listening
- 4:55Speaker 2: to our community and they wanted to be part of
- 4:57Speaker 2: a movement. They wanted something different. They wanted all the
- 5:01Speaker 2: hoopla that you get from a main project, but they
- 5:03Speaker 2: also wanted to see utility that wasn't being offered by
- 5:06Speaker 2: other projects, and that's what we've decided to do. We
- 5:09Speaker 2: wanted to make sure that if we were going to
- 5:11Speaker 2: do gaming, we were going to get right. If we
- 5:13Speaker 2: were going to launch into the DeFi space, we wanted
- 5:16Speaker 2: a massive DeFi protocol that not only was innovative, but
- 5:19Speaker 2: that would push the tech forward. And that's exactly what
- 5:21Speaker 2: we did with flocify. That is, you know, short for
- 5:24Speaker 2: flowky Finance, and we were in our first decentralized instrument
- 5:29Speaker 2: was our Flocified token locker, which actually took the tech
- 5:33Speaker 2: forward in the sense where you no longer have limitations
- 5:35Speaker 2: on how many years that you can actually lock your
- 5:39Speaker 2: your LP or other assets. Before there was you know,
- 5:42Speaker 2: limitation between two hundred and forty and about four hundred
- 5:45Speaker 2: and forty four hundred and fifty years, depending on the
- 5:48Speaker 2: instagrams that you would use. But not only does our
- 5:51Speaker 2: platform adhere to the ERC eleven fifty five standard, which
- 5:54Speaker 2: is really important if you want to say fees, you
- 5:57Speaker 2: could also extend the lock time period for as long
- 6:00Speaker 2: as you want, million years, ten million years, one hundred
- 6:03Speaker 2: billion years. It's really up to you. So we've been
- 6:07Speaker 2: able to really push things forward and listen to our
- 6:10Speaker 2: community and they have the power, and when you're governed
- 6:13Speaker 2: by a doll those decisions are binding. And that's how
- 6:16Speaker 2: we got token FI. That's how we've been able to
- 6:18Speaker 2: make sure that we burn the cross chain bridge. There's
- 6:21Speaker 2: all these strategic dimensions to what we're doing, and behind
- 6:26Speaker 2: it all is our incredible community.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Well, I like the fact that, again you know understanding
- 6:31Speaker 1: how these communities are are built. I think most people
- 6:34Speaker 1: looking at the meme markets right now, community.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Is really what this is about. So the fact that
- 6:39Speaker 3: you guys have.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Been able to really kind of que in on that
- 6:42Speaker 1: and go with what the community's efforts are really focused
- 6:46Speaker 1: on is great. I want to also talk about the
- 6:49Speaker 1: trading bot because this was an announcement that you guys
- 6:51Speaker 1: did on the trading bot and this.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Was a pretty big partnership with stocked with. So first
- 6:57Speaker 3: of all, how does it work?
- 6:58Speaker 1: This happened over on February five, so this is something big.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You guys are going to get some pretty big exposure
- 7:03Speaker 1: here in general. What does this look like for Floaky
- 7:08Speaker 1: and what will be some of the key features of this?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Well, when you look at what we're doing, it's always
- 7:16Speaker 2: important to look through the lens of how far can
- 7:19Speaker 2: a mean project go if it's hyper focused on utility,
- 7:23Speaker 2: and depending on where you are in your blockchain experience timeline,
- 7:28Speaker 2: rather you just started or you've been around for a while,
- 7:31Speaker 2: there's some instruments that are very important to have, and
- 7:34Speaker 2: the trading bot is one of them. Right, if you
- 7:38Speaker 2: go back to the first couple of weeks that you
- 7:40Speaker 2: were into blockchain and you can remember what you had
- 7:43Speaker 2: to go through to get into your favorite projects, you
- 7:46Speaker 2: would realize that it's very cumbersome, right, and very frustrating.
- 7:49Speaker 2: So we wanted to follow suit with the successes and
- 7:53Speaker 2: the high standards of our previous product offerings, but take
- 7:57Speaker 2: it further. So that's what our trading bot actually does,
- 8:00Speaker 2: is the flowkey trading pot. It is utilized via Telegram.
- 8:05Speaker 2: The idea is to make it better, stronger, faster, and
- 8:08Speaker 2: more secure, and then also add the elements of our
- 8:12Speaker 2: marketing and of our brand, which makes it truly unique.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Because not only are we planning on going to multiple
- 8:19Speaker 2: chains beyond what we currently offer, which is obviously you
- 8:23Speaker 2: know bmb eth recently Salana as well as Base, but
- 8:28Speaker 2: you're able to have certain features in terms of certain
- 8:32Speaker 2: contests and campaigns where you can actually earn those fees back,
- 8:35Speaker 2: certain rewards, certain air drops, and it was important for
- 8:38Speaker 2: us to be able to do that, and in its
- 8:40Speaker 2: very short lifespan, we've been able to cross over one
- 8:43Speaker 2: hundred and sixty eight million dollars of total transactions thus far.
- 8:48Speaker 3: All right, So looking at stock twits right here.
- 8:50Speaker 1: First of all, I guess when you think about stock twits,
- 8:53Speaker 1: this is one of the biggest platforms out there in
- 8:55Speaker 1: terms of interaction around.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Trading, big community.
- 8:58Speaker 1: What was the process for you guys to hook up
- 9:01Speaker 1: with them?
- 9:01Speaker 3: How did this come about?
- 9:04Speaker 2: Well, the biggest thing is always delivering for our community,
- 9:08Speaker 2: right And when you look at all the things that
- 9:10Speaker 2: we're offer, all the products and services, our most valuable
- 9:13Speaker 2: asset is our community. So we always want to deliver.
- 9:16Speaker 2: One of the main things that we take pride in
- 9:18Speaker 2: is that we're very selective with who we partner with
- 9:21Speaker 2: and we do campaigns with. And as you were mentioning, right,
- 9:25Speaker 2: stock twits is just one of these recent actions and
- 9:28Speaker 2: activations that we've been able to really catapult exposure for
- 9:32Speaker 2: our Floaty trading bot to their millions of users. It
- 9:35Speaker 2: was important for our community to understand that we want
- 9:38Speaker 2: to make sure that the entire blockchain space is fully
- 9:42Speaker 2: aware of the Floaty trading bot, what it could do,
- 9:45Speaker 2: what it has been doing, and what the future holds
- 9:48Speaker 2: for all those that may utilize it.
- 9:51Speaker 1: So Pedro talk to me a little bit when you
- 9:53Speaker 1: look at the roadmap for twenty twenty five around a major.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Project, like you, guys, Valhalla is.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Talking about a main net launch here in Q one.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Is this still on time? What's the timeline looking at
- 10:06Speaker 1: for right now?
- 10:08Speaker 2: Well, we are on schedule for a main net launch
- 10:11Speaker 2: Q one of this year, so we're very very excited
- 10:14Speaker 2: about it. Right it may seem just like a point
- 10:18Speaker 2: within a certain timeline and roadmap, but for us, it's
- 10:20Speaker 2: a lot more. And one thing for those that follow
- 10:24Speaker 2: us understand that a promise made Flowkey is a promise kept.
- 10:28Speaker 2: So we're very excited about the release of the main
- 10:31Speaker 2: net version of the game because it's accomplishing so much already.
- 10:36Speaker 2: You could play it on test net now if you
- 10:37Speaker 2: like it at the hall of that game. But we
- 10:40Speaker 2: really want the world to understand that a strong community
- 10:44Speaker 2: with great leadership, always focused on innovation and delivering at
- 10:49Speaker 2: the highest quality standards, there's really nothing that could limit
- 10:52Speaker 2: you in the space.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Well, I think the key here again is we start
- 10:56Speaker 1: to see projects that evolve into game I mean community building.
- 11:01Speaker 1: We're probably going to see a lot more in the
- 11:03Speaker 1: way of a ton of tokens starting to make it
- 11:06Speaker 1: into the market. Are you guys at all worried about
- 11:09Speaker 1: how the because this is really the mean cooin bull run.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I mean, we're seeing so many different projects being launched now,
- 11:16Speaker 1: You've got Ai tokens that are now launching projects. We've
- 11:19Speaker 1: got a variety of different initiatives that are happening out
- 11:23Speaker 1: there any plans to deal with that as twenty twenty
- 11:27Speaker 1: five rolls around.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Well, I think a strong component is to offer education, right,
- 11:33Speaker 2: so we don't worry about the additional projects entering the space,
- 11:37Speaker 2: because when you're focused on fundamentals and providing enhanced utility,
- 11:43Speaker 2: that's the road that we navigate by. What I do
- 11:46Speaker 2: worry for is for those that are part of the
- 11:49Speaker 2: uninitiated and are recently stepping into crypto, they may not
- 11:54Speaker 2: fully understand the importance of digital security making sure that
- 11:59Speaker 2: you're have the right resources when you're doing your research.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So we actually pioneered University of Flokey to have a
- 12:06Speaker 2: robust curriculum to help those that want to know a
- 12:09Speaker 2: little bit more about blockchain, the issues that arise from
- 12:12Speaker 2: it from the security front, but also understanding the tech
- 12:15Speaker 2: behind it, and many many individuals don't Some folks really
- 12:19Speaker 2: don't care how blockchain works. They're just chasing green candles,
- 12:23Speaker 2: and hey, right, that's okay if that's your perspective. But
- 12:26Speaker 2: we want to have an entire knowledge base that's available
- 12:30Speaker 2: for those that want to see how far that rabbit
- 12:32Speaker 2: hole goes. It's actually incumbent upon us that are part
- 12:35Speaker 2: of these massive projects that utilize our platform to help
- 12:39Speaker 2: people get better and more educated in the space.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Well, I think that's a good it's a good effort
- 12:45Speaker 1: because this is one of the things that we hear
- 12:48Speaker 1: most of the time, even from our own audience, is
- 12:51Speaker 1: one they come to our channel. We're fairly well balanced
- 12:53Speaker 1: here in terms of what we look at in different
- 12:55Speaker 1: projects and themes.
- 12:57Speaker 3: But I think the bigger arc here that we try
- 12:59Speaker 3: to focus.
- 13:00Speaker 1: In on is again advising education and really doing your
- 13:04Speaker 1: own research, getting out there and because everybody's got a
- 13:06Speaker 1: little bit of a different spin on how they want
- 13:08Speaker 1: to invest.
- 13:09Speaker 3: So it's good to see that you guys are putting
- 13:11Speaker 3: that together. All right, well, excellent.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We're going to be watching you guys very closely, pedro
- 13:15Speaker 1: So for twenty twenty five. I can't wait to see
- 13:18Speaker 1: more news as you guys start to launch more within.
- 13:20Speaker 3: The Floaky Ecosystem. Thanks for coming in today.
- 13:22Speaker 2: We appreciate it really excited. Thank you so much. Appreciate
- 13:26Speaker 2: it all.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Right, So if you guys are part of the Diamond Circle,
