  And today we're going to be talking about hyperloop, if

  you're not familiar with what hyperloop ins, It's an insanely
• 2:30
  fast way to use underground tunnels to transport people from
• 2:36
  point. A to point B in a very short
• 2:38
  amount of time. Now, Elon Musk is the guy that
• 2:42
  started all this. Let me get this over here, but
• 2:45
  there's a lot of people working on hyperloop designs right now.

  And they use things like hyper Loop, designed dotnet to get
• 2:54
  ideas, right? So you're not alone in this.

  If you have an idea, hyperloop Elon Musk original proposed

  hyperloop Alpha runs in a 2 point, 2 3, meter diameter tube.

  That's about seven feet and absolute pressure of 100.

  boat with your car, you can drive your car onto a boat,

  onto a boat and then when you get on there, you just park your

  car. You go across body of water.

  On this boat. And you don't have to drive all

  the way around it. So you just go from point A to

  point B right across. That's what I'm trying to get

  here from point A to point B faster than you would.

  If you went all the way around, it's in your car or you don't

  have to do. Do with all that stuff, you have

  to get to the airport. Hours before your flight takes

  York, So people are working on these things and there's

  actually a 13 year old girl. Check this out

  fourteen-year-old. Scientists may have designed a

  better version of hyperloop. A lot of companies working on

  this too, but so let me kind of back up here for a second when

  you're 13. You don't have the things that

  adults have, right? So I have work all day, Ida

  fiver, I defy work. Some people have a huge commute,

  some people have an hour-and-a-half commute every

  day to work and from work. That's three hours of their day

  gone. Where do they go?

  What does that time go? It goes nowhere.

  You don't get it back. And then your regimented it

  about 20 years old. Hey, go to your work, is the

  things you do and it like imagination, kind of stops for a

  lot of people and is stop thinking and dreaming, but when

  you're 13 years old, New York student, Caroline Crouch Lee,

  add an idea for a hyperloop. You won second place in the

  annual. REM, young scientist challenge

  is and she built pneumatic tubes next to existing train tracks.

  So, how cool would it be? Because we already have this
• 7:02
  train system in place in the United States.

  I think it was all the way across the country.

  It goes from. Like I said, New York to LA.

  That's pretty much like the Tipping Point.

  Either side of the country. La, we already have a train
• 7:17
  system. In its already have the tracks.

  We already have it built, so just push over a little bit. she

  said, That it's important to her because the climate crisis.

  I pinpointed Transportation is something I wanted to work on

  because if we can make trains more efficient than we can
• 7:35
  eliminate the amount of cars, trucks and buses on the road,

  Okay, that's totally true. We don't have many cars on the

  road. There's not also feel being
• 7:46
  burnt. Therefore, there's not as much

  stuff going in the atmosphere. Fluting, everything, ruining our

  Earth. So that's one of the good things

  about a hyperloop. That's that Doesn't take us a

  few minutes. It might take a little bit to

  build the thing, you know, to the big machines that need to

  like dig the holes and stuff. The put the hyperloop in or on

  you know, these tubes next to a regular train but See this, I'm

  You do little She said, after I got my inspiration, I did a lot

  of research on my design and on hyperloop and maglev, they put

  my design on paper. And later, put it into Autodesk

  Inventor and that's a computer program, a 3D modeling program,

  basically. He says hyperloop is a very high
• 8:41
  risk. I design can rely on 100%
• 8:45
  renewable energy. So it eliminates the need for a
• 8:47
  diesel engine or an electric motor, which makes the train
• 8:50
  lighter so it can move faster. There's a picture of gradually

  explaining or hyperloop, okay? Precisely designed was awarded

  second place in the young scientist challenge. 14 year,

  old Caroline County, California, and are a fan who invented a

  And then we do and she's completely, right?

  It's not that, I don't believe her.

  It's just that I've never heard of it and I want to learn more.

  So I think this is really great and hyperloop.

  Where are we now? Now, there's a bunch of

  companies working on it. A lot of different companies
• 10:26
  working on it, but there's no real hyperloop in business, yet,
• 10:33
  you know, not really what we want it to be.

  You know, there's testing going on and there are short tracks
• 10:40
  going on or there's no long, you know, hundreds of miles
• 10:44
  stretches of hyperloop yet. So this is where we're at now
• 10:47
  and we're working to get it better.
