Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Well, I have made uh I don't know if i'd
- 0:09Speaker 1: call it triumphant, but I have made a return here
- 0:11Speaker 1: to a big ninety eight eight point seven, and I'm
- 0:15Speaker 1: glad to be back.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Baby G was born.
- 0:18Speaker 1: She does exist in what felt like the longest biggest
- 0:22Speaker 1: tea's biggest weight forever. But I didn't want to, you know,
- 0:27Speaker 1: give away too much or say too much on social media.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I wanted to be here to talk to you about
- 0:31Speaker 1: it and just share the whole experience. It was honestly
- 0:36Speaker 1: a lot better for me than Corey. I'm sure, yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 1: when she was born, but she is at home and
- 0:42Speaker 1: it's been great.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's been wonderful.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Your boy can get through them diapers in like under
- 0:47Speaker 1: a minute flat. Now when you first have like this
- 0:50Speaker 1: little baby, you're all worried about breaking them. You think
- 0:53Speaker 1: they're delicate. And now we're passing her back and forth
- 0:56Speaker 1: like she's a football, you know, obviously safely.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Of no, I know, you know what.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I was impressed because I had the great honor of
- 1:04Speaker 4: meeting Baby G last week, and you very much mastered
- 1:11Speaker 4: very quickly. The baby is resilient. It's fine. Yes, Like
- 1:15Speaker 4: when you dress the baby, just put that sucker over
- 1:18Speaker 4: her head and like button the things.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Do what you gotta do. And that's something that they.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Tell you in the hospital because I remember when I
- 1:25Speaker 4: had Aiden, my very first child ever, and the nurse
- 1:31Speaker 4: was like, you know, man handling him. She's like you
- 1:35Speaker 4: have to, like you cannot, but you feel away like, no.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Am I gonna break him? Who allowed me? But I
- 1:42Speaker 3: think you've mastered it.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 1: When I you know, go through the diapers, I've learned
- 1:46Speaker 1: how to do that a lot faster, and it's like, hey,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you just got to hold them and get the diaper on, Okay,
- 1:50Speaker 1: then all the cry and screaming will stop. Yeah, Or
- 1:54Speaker 1: if you're lucky, you know, they just ate some food
- 1:55Speaker 1: and then they're kind of calm the entire time. But
- 1:58Speaker 1: the bane of my eggsit distance. I will never ever
- 2:02Speaker 1: ever get faster at this putting on baby socks. It
- 2:07Speaker 1: is possible to get those things on quickly and so
- 2:12Speaker 1: they stay because you really got to kind of tuck
- 2:15Speaker 1: them up in there because they're a little tiny bit
- 2:17Speaker 1: too big, I'm sure, yeah, and they don't hold well,
- 2:20Speaker 1: and I've just kind of sort of given up.
- 2:22Speaker 2: My daughter is just gonna be barefoot.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Well. The other thing is that babies have like wild
- 2:27Speaker 4: Hulk super strength.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yes, they do.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Like their limbs are stronger that if I had that
- 2:31Speaker 4: strength now, like I could be pushing boulders uphills like right,
- 2:36Speaker 4: and so it is. It's really hard to get the
- 2:38Speaker 4: socks that they come off anyway, So yeah, keep.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Her warm and just tuck the feet in a blanket.
- 2:44Speaker 4: I will say a lot of people while you were gone, Gabe,
- 2:48Speaker 4: we're texting and you know, messaging, asking one question that
- 2:54Speaker 4: I did not feel comfortable giving the answer too, because
- 2:56Speaker 4: that's not my information to give. Everybody wants to know
- 3:00Speaker 4: Babyg's actual name. And as much as it tickles me
- 3:03Speaker 4: to think that y'all put baby G on the birth certificates,
- 3:07Speaker 4: I know you did not, right, So can you satisfy
- 3:12Speaker 4: the people and tell us what the name of.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Baby G is?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I can tell you the name of what baby
- 3:19Speaker 1: G is, and I can tell you why baby G
- 3:22Speaker 1: is called that, even though it's been kind of fun
- 3:24Speaker 1: just calling her baby G. I know, but I will
- 3:28Speaker 1: give that to you in about seven minutes. Here, you tease,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I will give you the name and why it is
- 3:35Speaker 1: what it is. It's kind of I have let it
- 3:37Speaker 1: slip a couple times here on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 3:40Speaker 1: So if you really really been listening leading up to
- 3:43Speaker 1: when she arrived, you maybe have heard it.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I think you've done it twice.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Two times. I let it slip, and I was really
- 3:49Speaker 1: trying not to. But I will go ahead and give
- 3:52Speaker 1: you her name. And I didn't want to do that
- 3:54Speaker 1: on Facebook, because that's not it doesn't feel very fun,
- 3:56Speaker 1: that's not very personal. I wanted to be able to
- 3:58Speaker 1: tell you right here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You can hear it from the horses or the dad's mouth.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Okay, well, can I ask before we go? Is the
- 4:08Speaker 4: middle name Angie?
- 4:09Speaker 1: The middle name Angie was heavily debated, and I really
- 4:12Speaker 1: fought for you for about two seconds and then it
- 4:15Speaker 1: got shot down pretty quick. I have made my return
- 4:25Speaker 1: here to Big ninety eight point seven. Baby G has arrived.
- 4:29Speaker 3: But baby G is not the name of your baby.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But it's not her name, even though it is kind
- 4:34Speaker 1: of fun to say that again, because I was trying
- 4:37Speaker 1: to use her because we've been saying baby G for
- 4:40Speaker 1: so long, literally ten months or so. Yeah, and it
- 4:44Speaker 1: just is kind of funny to me. So at home,
- 4:46Speaker 1: I was constantly trying to say her name. So when
- 4:49Speaker 1: she's you know, ten, baby, that wouldn't quite work out.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Okay, but I think Baby G should come back with
- 5:00Speaker 4: she's like lateeen years yeah, baby G. Okay, So please, Gabe,
- 5:06Speaker 4: will you tell us what is Baby G's actual name?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Yes? So Baby G.
- 5:13Speaker 1: This part of the story is a little bit sad, obviously,
- 5:16Speaker 1: but Corey had a sister who is no longer around,
- 5:20Speaker 1: which is obviously a bummer. But yeah, what a way
- 5:23Speaker 1: to kind of honor that. And Corey's sister's name was
- 5:29Speaker 1: Kayla Lee Okay, Kayla middle name Lee. So baby G's
- 5:35Speaker 1: name is Kaylee ka y l e I g H
- 5:40Speaker 1: in honor of her aunt.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I love that. I think that's a really sweet way
- 5:43Speaker 3: to honor her.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And it was funny.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I wasn't like, we're not I wasn't like trying to
- 5:47Speaker 1: necessarily hide it per se. But I posted the picture
- 5:50Speaker 1: of me with Baby G in the arms in the blanket,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and there were people going, oh, what's the name, and
- 5:55Speaker 1: they were like, the name's on the blanket. But I
- 5:57Speaker 1: was looking through that and I was like, I don't
- 5:58Speaker 1: know if people can see it.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Well, I think someone guessed it was.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Ever, which is a great name.
- 6:03Speaker 4: I like it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but no, Kaylee was born on July seventeenth, five
- 6:11Speaker 1: point fifty six in the morning.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And let me tell you, we made a horrible choice.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So Corey had to get induced, yeah, just because we
- 6:18Speaker 1: were a week past the do date. And they it
- 6:22Speaker 1: starts with like you take a pill, like an oral
- 6:24Speaker 1: thing to soften the cervix, right.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I love that, you know, all of this, all of it.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, And then after a little bit of time it's
- 6:32Speaker 1: like three four hours, they kind of do a check
- 6:33Speaker 1: and then if it's working or softening up or helping,
- 6:38Speaker 1: they just kind of let you continue on with your day.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And if it's not, then they do another form of
- 6:44Speaker 1: cervix or ripening, where they get on in there.
- 6:47Speaker 4: And I never thought in this life I would hear
- 6:51Speaker 4: gabs say cervix, yeah, continue.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And so you know they, I don't know, insert something
- 6:59Speaker 1: to help with that. And then they come by a
- 7:02Speaker 1: couple hours later and they check, and so they had
- 7:05Speaker 1: checked and after the first round, they're like, I don't know,
- 7:10Speaker 1: if this doesn't work, we'll go to this and if
- 7:11Speaker 1: that doesn't work, then you'll do this and then you'll
- 7:13Speaker 1: have like twelve hours to kind of sit here. So
- 7:16Speaker 1: after the first one and they came by and did
- 7:18Speaker 1: the next step in this induction, We're like, oh, all right,
- 7:22Speaker 1: well this is kind of going slow. We'll probably have
- 7:24Speaker 1: twelve hours or what have you. So we sat and
- 7:26Speaker 1: watched Harry Potter nice until like ten at night after
- 7:32Speaker 1: this second form of cervix ripening, and all of a sudden,
- 7:37Speaker 1: it's like ten thirty, were like, all right, maybe we
- 7:39Speaker 1: should just kind of close our eyes tomorrow wake up
- 7:41Speaker 1: and like it'll be the day or what have you.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Our nurse comes by at like ten thirty, ten forty five,
- 7:48Speaker 1: and it was like, oh, yeah, no, we can start
- 7:50Speaker 1: the I forget the the medicine it's called or whatever tooson,
- 7:55Speaker 1: thank you. No, we can start the contraction part now.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And we went, oh, well, we made a horrible choice
- 8:03Speaker 1: and have been up since five this morning. It's now
- 8:05Speaker 1: ten at night.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Oh no.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And so you know, they give Corey some potosin we
- 8:11Speaker 1: both try to nap.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I got thirty minutes in.
- 8:14Speaker 1: She did not know, and so she was up for
- 8:17Speaker 1: like twenty six or something hours straight. It was pretty
- 8:21Speaker 1: oh actually twenty five almost yeah, hours straight, incredible. We
- 8:26Speaker 1: made a terrible choice of not maybe going to sleep
- 8:29Speaker 1: when we should have thinking we were gonna have Oh,
- 8:32Speaker 1: we'll have twelve hours.
- 8:33Speaker 4: That's the beauty of having a child, Like you think
- 8:36Speaker 4: you can plan as much as you want, but like
- 8:39Speaker 4: it's just gonna happen. When it happened, Kaylie was like no,
- 8:43Speaker 4: I'm ready.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Yeah exactly, and was there. Sab watched the whole thing,
- 8:48Speaker 1: help hold a leg, watched her enter the world. Wow,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and she has got a full full head of hair.
- 8:55Speaker 1: We were talking about this last night. We were in
- 8:57Speaker 1: bed feeding her, getting ready to put her in her bestet,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and I was like, wow, she in two weeks she's
- 9:02Speaker 1: two weeks old today.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah, has a full head of hair.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I mean such a full head of hair.
- 9:08Speaker 4: And she's like strawberry Blondie, Like she's I mean, the
- 9:11Speaker 4: cutest baby. And the one thing I will say is
- 9:15Speaker 4: that sometimes babies get born and it takes a little while. Yeah,
- 9:21Speaker 4: so pretty up. So then you know there are some
- 9:23Speaker 4: babies where you see them and you're like, well, you
- 9:26Speaker 4: did have a baby. But thankfully, because I guess I'm
- 9:30Speaker 4: shallow you she's so cute. She's so cute that with
- 9:34Speaker 4: my full chest it was like, oh my gosh, she's
- 9:36Speaker 4: so cute.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it was kind of cool when she, you know,
- 9:39Speaker 1: arrived to the world. Corey has a really thick head
- 9:43Speaker 1: of hair. I have a really thick head of hair.
- 9:45Speaker 1: We were like, well, she'll come out bald for sure,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and no, she did arrive with a full headed, like
- 9:50Speaker 1: kind of strawberry blonde, a little more red hair, which
- 9:55Speaker 1: was pretty cool to see.
- 9:56Speaker 4: So I just little baby and now we know her
- 9:58Speaker 4: name is Kaylee.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven. It's Gabe, it's Angie.
- 10:05Speaker 1: A little cloudy to start the day here, but we
- 10:07Speaker 1: do have a high of eighty four, which I think
- 10:09Speaker 1: is a nice break. I don't know if you've paid
- 10:11Speaker 1: attention to the weather at all, but it's been like
- 10:15Speaker 1: mid to upper nineties for what feels like forever.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Heat advisory. Yeah, it's been a whole thing.
- 10:22Speaker 1: So we will definitely take eighty six today or eighty four,
- 10:26Speaker 1: excuse me today and clear skies by this afternoon. If
- 10:29Speaker 1: you don't know this about Angie and I, we start
- 10:31Speaker 1: every single day off on a positive note, whether we
- 10:34Speaker 1: want to or not. All right, we always find a
- 10:37Speaker 1: way to find something we're appreciative of grateful, for proud
- 10:41Speaker 1: I'm happy about, or maybe it's something silly that just
- 10:43Speaker 1: made you smile or made us smile. And if you
- 10:46Speaker 1: ever have a little victory or a massive victory or
- 10:49Speaker 1: a medium victory, all right, victory is big or small,
- 10:51Speaker 1: we take them all.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Let us know. It's seven oh one two eight zero
- 10:54Speaker 2: one nine eight.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Seven celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice
- 11:01Speaker 5: gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 11:03Speaker 1: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 11:05Speaker 1: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard
- 11:09Speaker 1: and I.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Just really needed to win.
- 11:10Speaker 5: You know, Sure your little victories with us at seven
- 11:13Speaker 5: oh one two eight a one ninety eight seven.
- 11:16Speaker 2: All right, Angie, do you have a little victory for
- 11:18Speaker 2: us here today?
- 11:19Speaker 4: Yes, you are back. My co host is back. When
- 11:24Speaker 4: I tell you, it has been the most burring two
- 11:28Speaker 4: weeks of my life in this building. And not because
- 11:32Speaker 4: I always love doing the show. It's obviously more fun
- 11:35Speaker 4: when you're here to do the show together, but the
- 11:38Speaker 4: show itself, I had a great time. It's after the
- 11:41Speaker 4: show where I did not have my partner in crime
- 11:45Speaker 4: to be cackling away at things with and so it's
- 11:50Speaker 4: been quiet for the rest of the.
- 11:51Speaker 3: People working in our building.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And I think they have loved that also, that I
- 11:55Speaker 1: would be the opposite of their little victory.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I'd be their little loss.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, really, because the way you make me laugh, Gabe,
- 12:04Speaker 4: the cackle heard round the office that I don't think
- 12:07Speaker 4: anyone appreciates, but for me, it feels so good to
- 12:12Speaker 4: be at work and belly laugh. And before the show
- 12:16Speaker 4: even got started, obviously, you know, we have to do
- 12:19Speaker 4: some prep before, Sonora. We're not just jumping on here
- 12:22Speaker 4: saying whatever. Even during that little window of time like
- 12:26Speaker 4: you already had me cracking up, and it just feels
- 12:29Speaker 4: so good.
- 12:29Speaker 3: So I'm glad that you're back.
- 12:31Speaker 4: I know that you became a father and whatever, but selfishly,
- 12:34Speaker 4: I am so happy that you are here for my entertainments.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad to be back. Thank you for that, Angie.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm glad we have you know, Batman and Robin back together. Wow,
- 12:47Speaker 1: is wonderful. I'm glad to be here with you today.
- 12:49Speaker 1: We do have to give a big shout out to
- 12:51Speaker 1: Chrissy who said after work today it starts her ten
- 12:54Speaker 1: day vacation and she's so excited.
- 12:57Speaker 2: All right, wait to go Chrissy here this morning?
- 12:59Speaker 4: Hey, can you give us a follow up text? Where
- 13:02Speaker 4: are you going on vacation for ten days?
- 13:04Speaker 2: That's amazing, that's a two week bit right here.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that for her. What about you, Gabe?
- 13:10Speaker 3: What's your little victory?
- 13:11Speaker 1: My little victory is this morning, at about three, my
- 13:16Speaker 1: daughter was it was feeding time. If you don't know
- 13:18Speaker 1: this about babies, and I guess I don't really know
- 13:20Speaker 1: if I knew this before she arrived, But with newborns,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know, they got to be fed basically every like
- 13:26Speaker 1: two to three hours, or just whenever they want.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It is funny when I feed I'm just going off
- 13:34Speaker 1: on a little side quest here, but when I feed
- 13:36Speaker 1: my daughter, it's kind of funny. Have you ever seen
- 13:38Speaker 1: those people who are like on a beach and they
- 13:40Speaker 1: got palm trees and there's people fanning them and feeding
- 13:43Speaker 1: them grapes.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Yes, that's what my daughter looks like. When I feed her.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He's like, feed me peasant and let me do zero work. Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 1: But at three, my wife got up and did a
- 13:57Speaker 1: diaper change and took her to the living room to
- 13:59Speaker 1: feed her so I could get the extra hour of
- 14:01Speaker 1: sleep there. So that was my victory to the dopest
- 14:05Speaker 1: wife and best mama alive. So big shot out to
- 14:08Speaker 1: Corey for that one hour. Other little side note, little victory,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I didn't sleep through the alarm.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I was a little bit worried.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, I'm going off on like
- 14:16Speaker 1: two three chunks of sleep hours at a time. Here, Please,
- 14:20Speaker 1: for the love of God, do not let me oversleep
- 14:23Speaker 1: that alarm. And of course I woke up right to
- 14:26Speaker 1: it didn't affect me.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Also had to be here update Chrissy's on a we
- 14:33Speaker 4: fest adventure.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Well, we hope you have a ton of fun, Chrissy,
- 14:38Speaker 1: and glad to be back with you here.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Angie.
- 14:41Speaker 5: I am.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I have not been nervous to, you know, talk on
- 14:44Speaker 1: the radio probably since my young twenties. And this morning,
- 14:48Speaker 1: reading that first story at the top of the hour,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I was sitting there going, God, do I know how
- 14:52Speaker 1: to read?
- 14:53Speaker 2: What does this button do on this board?
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Where am I going with this? But I think it
- 14:57Speaker 1: came back fairly quickly. Yeah, it's like bike, Well, we're
- 15:01Speaker 1: gonna hope if there are any mess ups today, all right.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I totally take the blame for that because I'm kinda
- 15:06Speaker 1: I'm kind of relearning how to do everything here. I've
- 15:09Speaker 1: never taken two weeks off in my life ever for
- 15:12Speaker 1: any job ever.
- 15:13Speaker 3: So Fatherhood'll do that.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Ht's hope all runs smoothly. What did I miss? You
- 15:22Speaker 1: had a time up in Winnipeg, is what I'm learning.
- 15:26Speaker 1: That's about all of the story I know.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Yeah, So it was my anniversary with Mikey last weekend
- 15:34Speaker 4: and we decided to take a little trip up to
- 15:36Speaker 4: Winnipeg because I had never been, and I have a passport,
- 15:40Speaker 4: so I was.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Like, why not.
- 15:40Speaker 4: I've never lived Yeah, I've never lived this close to
- 15:44Speaker 4: a border to just like drive over right.
- 15:47Speaker 3: So we go. We have the best time.
- 15:49Speaker 4: We stay at the Fort Gary Hotel, which was built
- 15:52Speaker 4: back in nineteen eleven and the guy in charge of
- 15:54Speaker 4: it died on the Titanic, so the opening of the
- 15:57Speaker 4: hotel was delayed. Like it was very interesting, lots of
- 16:01Speaker 4: rich history. We had a great time. We went to
- 16:03Speaker 4: this spa village out there that our buddy Moose on
- 16:06Speaker 4: the Fox recommended to us.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, magical, wonderful.
- 16:11Speaker 4: So the thing is, because it was just a weekend trip,
- 16:14Speaker 4: we're driving back. You know, I don't drive. Mikey physically
- 16:17Speaker 4: drives everywhere. So we're driving back and because we had
- 16:20Speaker 4: spent like four and a half hours at this spa,
- 16:23Speaker 4: Mikey says to me, I'm almost too relaxed while I'm
- 16:28Speaker 4: driving right now, I feel like I need to be
- 16:30Speaker 4: more anxious famous last words. Because we pull up to
- 16:35Speaker 4: the you know, the border patrol. Yeah, they ask for
- 16:38Speaker 4: our passports. They ask why we were in Canada, and
- 16:44Speaker 4: I was like, oh, our anniversary. I was very excited.
- 16:47Speaker 4: The guy was like, oh, congratulations, that's great. He looks
- 16:50Speaker 4: at our passports and then he says, hang on a
- 16:53Speaker 4: second and closes the little window, opens it back there.
- 16:57Speaker 2: That's never good. No, that felt.
- 16:59Speaker 4: We opens it back up and says and asks Mikey
- 17:03Speaker 4: what his middle name is, and he says Thomas, and
- 17:07Speaker 4: he goes, okay, hang on, closes the window again, and
- 17:10Speaker 4: I start feeling anxious. Mikey starts feeling anxious. And then
- 17:15Speaker 4: the heat opens the window and he says, I need
- 17:18Speaker 4: you to turn the keys. I mean, turn the car off,
- 17:20Speaker 4: put the keys on the dash, roll down the windows,
- 17:23Speaker 4: that's what So he does, and then I'm told to
- 17:28Speaker 4: get out of the car.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Oh, hold on, hold on, hold on, let me get
- 17:31Speaker 2: on theme here, Okay, were resting.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I had to have my hands up walking backwards towards
- 17:43Speaker 4: the officers. I had to lift my sweatshirt up to
- 17:47Speaker 4: show my waist to I guess, show that I wasn't
- 17:50Speaker 4: packing heat.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I don't know. And then she was like, you can.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Put your hands back down, and as soon as I
- 17:56Speaker 4: put my hands back down, she grabs them, puts them
- 17:58Speaker 4: behind my back and cuffs me.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Wow.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Bro, I was so shook because what I was just
- 18:06Speaker 4: getting my nails well. And then in my head, I'm thinking,
- 18:11Speaker 4: did I accidentally bring back a bunch of drugs and guns?
- 18:14Speaker 5: Like?
- 18:14Speaker 3: What is this?
- 18:16Speaker 4: So then I hear them tell Mikey he's got to
- 18:18Speaker 4: get out of the car. But they make him get
- 18:19Speaker 4: out of the passenger side because his his door was
- 18:23Speaker 4: closest to one of the officers, I guess, and they
- 18:26Speaker 4: want to be sure.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but he had to climb over the middle console
- 18:33Speaker 4: to the side.
- 18:34Speaker 3: At one point he drops his sunglasses.
- 18:36Speaker 4: It was a whole mess. We both get taken into
- 18:40Speaker 4: the building, yes, into separate rooms. I get padded down
- 18:46Speaker 4: and they're like okay, uh you can go sit.
- 18:50Speaker 3: In the lobby now.
- 18:52Speaker 4: So I'm sitting in the lobby, Mikey's still gone in
- 18:55Speaker 4: whatever room, and I'm thinking, oh, my gosh, am I
- 18:58Speaker 4: just never coming home? Am I never getting back to
- 19:02Speaker 4: the States. When all was said and done through the day,
- 19:07Speaker 4: I chose a man with the most generic name on
- 19:09Speaker 4: the planet ever, because his name is Michael Smith.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and apparently there are thousands yes.
- 19:16Speaker 4: One of which is an evil Michael Smith with the
- 19:20Speaker 4: same birthday as my Michael Smith and the same eye color. Really,
- 19:26Speaker 4: that's why we were detained. They searched the vehicle. They
- 19:30Speaker 4: intimated that it was like a weapons thing, so clearly
- 19:33Speaker 4: there was nothing in the car but like a cooler with.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Snacks, and.
- 19:38Speaker 4: They were like, sorry, there is a Michael Smith who's
- 19:41Speaker 4: not a good guy, and so we just had to
- 19:44Speaker 4: do protocol and make sure everything is so when all
- 19:46Speaker 4: of a sudden and done, they were actually very nice
- 19:48Speaker 4: and we got let go. But it was the scariest
- 19:51Speaker 4: experience of my life. I've never been in handcuffs before.
- 19:54Speaker 4: I'm a rule follower. I've never been in handcuffs, not
- 19:57Speaker 4: even during sexy time. Like, I've never in handcuffs that
- 20:02Speaker 4: was terrifying clarifying for us.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Yes, but I told Mike. I was like, you have
- 20:07Speaker 3: to change your name now.
- 20:08Speaker 1: So there's like a bad evil Michael Smith walking the
- 20:12Speaker 1: country somewhere that that is not your Michael Smith.
- 20:16Speaker 3: It's not my Michael Smith's.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Same December birthday.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yes, isn't that crazy?
- 20:21Speaker 4: Or is this how I find out I'm dating a
- 20:24Speaker 4: bed boy?
- 20:25Speaker 2: You might actually have a bad boy? This is am
- 20:33Speaker 2: I the problem. It's me, Hi the problem, it's me.
- 20:39Speaker 2: We'll hear one side of the story and with your help.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 20:47Speaker 5: That's right, I am the problem on Big ninety eight
- 20:51Speaker 5: point seven.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Hi, guys, my name is Kenny, and I'm messaging you
- 20:57Speaker 4: because I've never been in this kind of situation with
- 21:00Speaker 4: a girlfriend. Truthfully, this is my first serious relationship, so
- 21:03Speaker 4: I don't know the protocol. My girl and I booked
- 21:06Speaker 4: a little vacation to the cities, nothing major, just a
- 21:09Speaker 4: four day trip. But now she can't go because work
- 21:12Speaker 4: denied her PTO request. Obviously that sucks, but I have
- 21:16Speaker 4: the days off and I still want to go.
- 21:19Speaker 3: My buddy Todd can just come.
- 21:21Speaker 4: It's not like we booked a romantic gondola ride or something.
- 21:25Speaker 2: That'd be a great photo of you with Todd.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, my girlfriend was not happy when I told her this,
- 21:30Speaker 4: But what does it matter if I still go. I'm
- 21:32Speaker 4: not taking another woman. I'm going with my buddy and
- 21:35Speaker 4: she has to work anyway. I don't see a problem.
- 21:38Speaker 4: But like I said, first time serious relationship. So is
- 21:42Speaker 4: there some hidden thing I don't get and it is
- 21:45Speaker 4: actually wrong?
- 21:46Speaker 3: If I go, gab? Do you want to chime in? First?
- 21:50Speaker 2: I got you here? What was this man's name?
- 21:52Speaker 3: Kenny?
- 21:52Speaker 2: Kenny?
- 21:53Speaker 1: I've got you all right. Here's what I will say
- 21:55Speaker 1: to you. There's this saying called happy wife, happy life,
- 22:00Speaker 1: which I don't always agree with. Here's my question, Kenny,
- 22:04Speaker 1: do you enjoy private fun time with your girlfriend or Todd?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Who would you rather keep enjoying private fun time with?
- 22:12Speaker 2: All right?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Maybe just enjoy a nice staycation and plan a different
- 22:17Speaker 1: boys trip with Todd some other time.
- 22:19Speaker 3: You know, I don't hate that advice.
- 22:22Speaker 4: We have this up on the Big ninety eight point
- 22:23Speaker 4: seven Facebook page. We you can also text us call
- 22:28Speaker 4: us seven oh one two eight oho one nine eight seven.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Let us know.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I I hate to say it because logically, I think
- 22:38Speaker 4: Kenny is correct. But if I am going based on
- 22:43Speaker 4: what I would do if Mikey presented me with this situation,
- 22:47Speaker 4: you better don't go on that trip, Kenny. Okay, I
- 22:51Speaker 4: think a woman likes to think it's not gonna be
- 22:53Speaker 4: fun if you're not there, So why would I go?
- 22:56Speaker 2: Right?
- 22:57Speaker 4: Because him taking Kenny, I mean Kenny taking odd, I
- 23:01Speaker 4: think makes it seem like it wasn't a special trip
- 23:05Speaker 4: to him, like, oh well that's fine, anybody can come
- 23:08Speaker 4: and I would still have a great time. And even
- 23:10Speaker 4: though that's probably true, very stupid. We don't want to
- 23:13Speaker 4: feel that way. Yeah, we want to feel like the
- 23:15Speaker 4: trip is not worth going on unless we are on it.
- 23:19Speaker 2: So if my which is very logical, by the way,
- 23:22Speaker 2: shut up, why.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Don't you think let us know?
- 23:27Speaker 4: Because I know that I'm leading with my angry, spicy,
- 23:30Speaker 4: emotional latina heart this answer. What is your advice to
- 23:35Speaker 4: Kenny seven oh one two eight one nine eight seven
- 23:37Speaker 4: or check it out on our Facebook.
- 23:39Speaker 1: What you need to do is like change the hotel,
- 23:42Speaker 1: change the thing you were going to do, to go
- 23:44Speaker 1: do something very dude, I don't know, go to like
- 23:47Speaker 1: the go play golf or go to like a sweet
- 23:50Speaker 1: shots or something. Okay, yeah, do the trip, but change
- 23:53Speaker 1: all of the things you were gonna do to now
- 23:55Speaker 1: just a bunch of dude stuff.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that way works.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Go to like Dick's Sporting Goods and climbed the rock
- 24:00Speaker 1: wall or something. She wouldn't miss that.
- 24:08Speaker 4: The problem with Kenny is in his first serious relationship
- 24:13Speaker 4: with his girlfriend and they planned a trip together. Now
- 24:18Speaker 4: she can't go. He decided, well, I'm still gonna go.
- 24:21Speaker 4: I'll just take my buddy because my girl has to work.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 24:26Speaker 4: His girlfriend not happy with that, and so he wants
- 24:29Speaker 4: to know is there something he's missing, Like, is there
- 24:32Speaker 4: actually a problem if he goes on this trip? Or
- 24:35Speaker 4: is she being unreasonable? I think logically Kenny should be
- 24:41Speaker 4: able to go on the trip. I think as an
- 24:43Speaker 4: emotional woman, how dare you want to go on.
- 24:46Speaker 3: A trip if I'm not on it? You know what
- 24:48Speaker 3: I mean? And so that's what I think. Gave. What
- 24:51Speaker 3: were your thoughts on that?
- 24:53Speaker 2: Well?
- 24:54Speaker 1: I have been taught this saying that many guys are taught,
- 24:58Speaker 1: you know, happy wife, happy life. Now, Kenny, do you
- 25:03Speaker 1: enjoy private fun time with your girl or your buddy?
- 25:06Speaker 1: Todd and both answers are fine, yes, but way those options, Yeah,
- 25:12Speaker 1: a real answer. I would my advice if this was
- 25:16Speaker 1: like a buddy of mine, would be like, hey, dude,
- 25:17Speaker 1: just like, don't go do the things you were gonna do.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Kind of change the trip. Go drink a bunch of
- 25:23Speaker 1: IPAs at some brewery that maybe you know your girlfriend
- 25:26Speaker 1: wouldn't like. Not that ladies can't like IPAs, I'm not
- 25:29Speaker 1: saying that, but just find things you know she's not into, sure,
- 25:32Speaker 1: and go.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Do that with your buddy. Just go, dude stuff.
- 25:35Speaker 4: Stacy chimed in on Facebook. If you go, just make
- 25:39Speaker 4: sure you plan another trip with her that she's able
- 25:42Speaker 4: to go with workoff.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Let her plan it.
- 25:45Speaker 4: I think she's just really disappointed and frustrated that she
- 25:48Speaker 4: couldn't get work off and just finds.
- 25:51Speaker 3: It unfair at the moment.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Yeah, this is based on not knowing her personality at all.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 25:58Speaker 1: That is good advice. She's not really angry you, She's
- 26:00Speaker 1: more angry at the work. Yeah, she can't take that
- 26:03Speaker 1: out on work and you're the nearest punching bag.
- 26:05Speaker 3: That's yeah, that's true.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Welcome to being a dude.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Now, this is a serious relationship.
- 26:13Speaker 2: You're right, that's exactly right.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Now there are a lot of ladies chiming in who
- 26:18Speaker 1: are telling our boy Kenny to go take this trip.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Just go do it.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Janie said, take the trip. She sounds controlling.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Oh okay, Jesse said, your girl couldn't get the time off.
- 26:30Speaker 1: The time away is already booked. I don't see a
- 26:33Speaker 1: reason you can't just take time with your buddy. Maybe
- 26:35Speaker 1: she's nervous you two might go do some shady stuff
- 26:38Speaker 1: while she's not there.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Maybe that's the hidden thing.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Yeah, kind of seems like she's jealous, unconfident or not
- 26:45Speaker 1: confident and or controlling. If it's going to work out,
- 26:49Speaker 1: you both need to give each other the space to
- 26:51Speaker 1: spend time with your friends and nurture those relationships.
- 26:54Speaker 2: There's some more after that.
- 26:55Speaker 4: But this situation made me think about I just discovered
- 27:00Speaker 4: something about myself. Am I a toxic person because I'm
- 27:04Speaker 4: telling Oh, but I'm telling Kenny, you know, don't go
- 27:08Speaker 4: on the trip. She that's she's feeling like the trip
- 27:12Speaker 4: doesn't is more important than spending the time with her.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I think is probably where the root is, because that's.
- 27:17Speaker 4: What I would feel if it were Mikey and he
- 27:20Speaker 4: went I would be like, oh, so what this for us?
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 27:25Speaker 4: It was.
- 27:25Speaker 3: It should be like I don't want.
- 27:26Speaker 4: To go unless you go. But roles reversed because someone
- 27:30Speaker 4: did chime in on Facebook saying roles reversed. How would
- 27:32Speaker 4: you feel?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Rolls reversed. I'm going on the trip and I don't
- 27:35Speaker 3: care what Mikey thinks.
- 27:36Speaker 1: You are something incredible. I'm the worst.
- 27:47Speaker 3: What are you about to talk about?
- 27:50Speaker 1: What?
- 27:51Speaker 2: I need to start a business?
- 27:53Speaker 1: If you are a dude and you're single, and you
- 27:57Speaker 1: know you're your single as a pringle, and you're just
- 27:59Speaker 1: looking for a.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Cann all right, I've got you covered here.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Gosh, what is happening? Okay, go ahead.
- 28:05Speaker 1: If you're a dude and you need some help, I
- 28:08Speaker 1: want to start a new business now. I haven't worked
- 28:10Speaker 1: on the name at all. I'll put in some more
- 28:12Speaker 1: effort later today.
- 28:14Speaker 3: You're a little busy, yeah, but if.
- 28:16Speaker 1: You would like to rent a baby and a dog,
- 28:20Speaker 1: I have got you covered. Your boy has had to
- 28:23Speaker 1: go on morning walks with the dog and my daughter
- 28:27Speaker 1: because it's just been way too hot in the afternoon. Yeah,
- 28:30Speaker 1: So I like to try to let Corey get a
- 28:32Speaker 1: little sleep with nothing going on in the house aka
- 28:35Speaker 1: the dog and the baby and the dad out of it.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Yes, And I went on a walk the other day.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I got my little stroller, I got my energy drink,
- 28:43Speaker 1: I got my phone in the little phone holder, and
- 28:45Speaker 1: I got my baby stroller in one hand, dog leash
- 28:48Speaker 1: in the other. Okay, let me tell you the ladies
- 28:54Speaker 1: in South Fargo. I am aware of you doing the
- 28:57Speaker 1: thing where you go up to the blinds and you
- 28:59Speaker 1: hit them down with your little two fingers. Yeah, checking
- 29:01Speaker 1: me out walking down the street. I was on a
- 29:04Speaker 1: walk the other day. This lady in her car, very nice,
- 29:08Speaker 1: sweet lady, saw me and my dog walking. She pulls
- 29:12Speaker 1: over to say, oh my god, is that a baby?
- 29:18Speaker 1: She is so cute And I was like, oh yeah,
- 29:21Speaker 1: she's however many days old, like thank you, nice to
- 29:23Speaker 1: see you, and you know, kept it pushing.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 1: If you are a dude and you would like to
- 29:28Speaker 1: rent my baby and my dog and go on a
- 29:32Speaker 1: walk in the park, let me know. It's seven oh
- 29:35Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. We can
- 29:38Speaker 1: maybe work out a theme here.
- 29:39Speaker 2: I'll go with. Now, you don't get to take baby
- 29:41Speaker 2: and dog alone, all right?
- 29:42Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Dad, going with But I will let you push the stroller.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I will let you hold the dog leash, and I'll
- 29:48Speaker 1: let you pretend that they're yours for five minutes. You
- 29:51Speaker 1: know what.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Upsets me is that gosh ding and if it's not
- 29:54Speaker 3: a good idea. This is clearly like the premise.
- 29:56Speaker 4: For a rom com obyed, but also like it really
- 30:01Speaker 4: that does do it for us. It is a good dad, yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 4: a good dad, and he's a dog person.
- 30:07Speaker 3: It's like our radar spidy senses gone.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I was walking through the park on this I always
- 30:13Speaker 1: call it the pregnancy loop when Corey was pregnant, this
- 30:15Speaker 1: shorter kind of walk version around our neighborhood.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And I'm not kidding you.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Three driveways in a row, ladies getting ready to head
- 30:23Speaker 1: on off to work.
- 30:23Speaker 2: You know, I'm sure they got loving families, but there.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Was something about just this kind of dorky, cute radio
- 30:28Speaker 1: dude walking through the park with a baby stroller, baby
- 30:32Speaker 1: in it and dog. So if you if you are
- 30:37Speaker 1: a dude and you realize, you know what, tender's not
- 30:39Speaker 1: doing it. But I can't. I'm striking out on bumble.
- 30:42Speaker 1: You know, I can't meet anyone at pottery class on Wednesdays.
- 30:45Speaker 1: What you need to do is get to the park.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Give me a call or give me a text at
- 30:48Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven,
- 30:51Speaker 1: and we will arrange a meet up. Yeah, you can
- 30:54Speaker 1: push stroller with baby in it and walk dog and
- 30:57Speaker 1: I'll just walk around.
- 30:58Speaker 3: You think. I think it's a solid plan.
- 31:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:02Speaker 1: My daughter's got to pay to get to college somehow.
- 31:04Speaker 1: It's about time she starts chipping in. She's two weeks
- 31:07Speaker 1: old for crying out loud. So I am glad to
- 31:11Speaker 1: be back with you. And it sounds like a lot
- 31:13Speaker 1: happened while I was away for a tiny bit. And
- 31:16Speaker 1: one of these was someone arrested here at Big ninety
- 31:18Speaker 1: eight point seven.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Yes, so what early one morning whilst you were away?
- 31:25Speaker 3: And I think maybe it was your fault? Someone came
- 31:29Speaker 3: why fault? Yes, it's your fault.
- 31:31Speaker 4: So someone, a woman came up to where we have
- 31:34Speaker 4: these station vehicles. Right, you've seen us roll around in
- 31:39Speaker 4: this big yellow truck that says Big ninety eight point seven.
- 31:43Speaker 3: That's how you know, yeah, right.
- 31:45Speaker 4: And this woman busted out the windows of the big truck,
- 31:51Speaker 4: the back.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Window, the side window.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Like the box where people put their the slips in
- 31:57Speaker 4: to try to win a prize shattered that there was
- 32:00Speaker 4: blood everywhere, but the cops got here in time and
- 32:05Speaker 4: they arrested her. One of our bosses went out and
- 32:09Speaker 4: you know, checked out the situation. But there was a
- 32:11Speaker 4: time here where the big truck was not in use
- 32:15Speaker 4: because I had to go get the windows repaired.
- 32:18Speaker 3: I had to get disinfected because there was blood. It
- 32:20Speaker 3: was a whole thing.
- 32:22Speaker 4: And I think the reason this happened is because you
- 32:26Speaker 4: were not on air and she was sick of hearing
- 32:30Speaker 4: my shrill voice solo.
- 32:32Speaker 3: And she was like, I can't take it anymore.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Well, that's very sweet. I appreciate that. I wonder if
- 32:38Speaker 1: she was just mad she didn't win Jason Derulo tickets.
- 32:40Speaker 3: Oh you know what, that sounds like it could be
- 32:43Speaker 3: a reason too.
- 32:44Speaker 4: But it was crazy.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I don't like insanity.
- 32:48Speaker 4: That's not a normal thing that happens every day. And
- 32:52Speaker 4: I asked because I haven't been here at Radio FM
- 32:55Speaker 4: Media as long as some of the other people in
- 32:57Speaker 4: the building, and this is quite literally the first time
- 33:00Speaker 4: that there's been like a vehicle vandalism, Like wow, and
- 33:05Speaker 4: you weren't here. I feel like you leaving was the catalyst.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Oh well, I'm glad that you're back. Yeah, hopefully that's
- 33:12Speaker 4: not the case.
