- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Playfake, go to roll right, dumps it off
- 0:07Speaker 1: into the right plasf to Michael Bumpers, who bounces off
- 0:10Speaker 1: of one tackler, gets inside the forty down of the
- 0:12Speaker 1: thirty five yard line. Powered by seahawks dot Com. Matt
- 0:16Speaker 1: pumpfake's looking at the goal line, he throws it into
- 0:18Speaker 1: the m zone. Touchdown, Say Hawks, it's Michael Thumpers with
- 0:22Speaker 1: a diving catching the end zone.
- 0:24Speaker 2: A ten yard touchdown reception for Bumpers, and the kid
- 0:27Speaker 2: out of Washington State has found himself.
- 0:29Speaker 3: A place on this team.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Now here's your host, Nasa Choviie.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Welcome into another edition of Hawk Talk. The Seahawks getting
- 0:38Speaker 2: ready to travel down to Santa Clair to take on
- 0:40Speaker 2: the San Francisco forty nine. Ers were broadcasting live from
- 0:43Speaker 2: the Seahawks Podcast Studio, presented by Sony, the official partner
- 0:47Speaker 2: of the Seattle Seahawks. Bump It's been a little eventful.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Week, it has, man, you know, it's been a half
- 0:52Speaker 4: some time off, some changes happened, but we are here
- 0:55Speaker 4: once again doing what we do.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Yes, we are the bye week. I'm hoping to treat
- 0:59Speaker 2: everybody well. The Seahawks got some time off, got to retool,
- 1:01Speaker 2: rethink some things, and like we said, there was some
- 1:04Speaker 2: moves this week. See. Seahawks made a change at linebacker
- 1:06Speaker 2: on Monday, releasing Tyrel Dotson, who started the first nine
- 1:09Speaker 2: games of the season. Also a cornerback, Josh Joe Will
- 1:12Speaker 2: sign off the practice squad to fill an open spot
- 1:14Speaker 2: on the fifty three man roster. On top of that,
- 1:17Speaker 2: tight end Nikhil Harry, former first round pick, was signed
- 1:19Speaker 2: to the practice squad. Now. Dotson was one of the
- 1:22Speaker 2: big free agent acquisitions this offseason, with Jome Baker coming
- 1:25Speaker 2: in at linebacker. He signed in March. And don't take
- 1:29Speaker 2: the word for me. Let's hear from the head coach
- 1:31Speaker 2: kind of about what went into the decision to release
- 1:33Speaker 2: Tyrel Dotson.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Oh, well, you know, we really appreciate te dot I mean,
- 1:37Speaker 5: he's he's worked extremely hard, rehabbed, you know, throughout the offseason. Here,
- 1:42Speaker 5: I think is one was an opportunity for us when
- 1:44Speaker 5: we when we kind of sat and it took a
- 1:45Speaker 5: step back and realized where we were at, it was
- 1:48Speaker 5: really the best thing for us to move forward that way,
- 1:51Speaker 5: give the other guys in the room an opportunity to
- 1:53Speaker 5: step up. I help those guys grab that opportunity by
- 1:55Speaker 5: the horns and take it and run with it. And
- 1:58Speaker 5: and then it gives it gives to our an opportunity to,
- 2:01Speaker 5: you know, find another spot somewhere else so he can
- 2:03Speaker 5: finish the year strong.
- 2:04Speaker 3: So that was the thought behind it.
- 2:07Speaker 2: But when you saw that move, what's kind of your
- 2:09Speaker 2: first reaction.
- 2:10Speaker 4: First reaction was, I appreciate them making moves now and
- 2:16Speaker 4: not just waiting and saying we'll figure it out. We'll
- 2:18Speaker 4: figure it out, because obviously they weren't getting what they
- 2:21Speaker 4: wanted out of Dots. And I also appreciate them letting
- 2:23Speaker 4: him go because that allows him to go find work
- 2:25Speaker 4: elsewhere instead of having him sit on the bench and
- 2:28Speaker 4: having a rookie kind of takeover in Tyree's night. And
- 2:30Speaker 4: now you lost your spot in your mentoring, you're not
- 2:33Speaker 4: getting plays. My man led the team in tackle. So
- 2:36Speaker 4: I appreciate just the business side of this, because this
- 2:39Speaker 4: is a business and people, if you didn't understand it now,
- 2:42Speaker 4: then you understand it now. Like if you're not doing
- 2:44Speaker 4: your job the way they want you to do it,
- 2:46Speaker 4: they're gonna let you go. But I was surprised because
- 2:48Speaker 4: you look at the stats and you feel like Dotson
- 2:51Speaker 4: was a big part of what they're doing, and the
- 2:52Speaker 4: numbers can fool you.
- 2:53Speaker 3: That's why it's so tough at linebacker. Numbers can fool you.
- 2:56Speaker 4: You see all the tackles, all the snaps, you go,
- 2:59Speaker 4: he must be okay, it's in the details.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So now I'm just happy for the youngster, Tyree's Knight.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it should be really fun to see what Tyree's
- 3:05Speaker 2: can do. He's gonna get the first crack, as coach
- 3:06Speaker 2: had said. And then Drake Thomas is another guy who
- 3:09Speaker 2: got to play a little bit earlier. And I think
- 3:10Speaker 2: it's a big thing that both of them got some
- 3:12Speaker 2: playing time early, started some games from Jerome Baker early
- 3:14Speaker 2: in the season to kind of get used to it.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So it's not gonna be the first time out there
- 3:17Speaker 2: against the forty nine ers starting Tyrell Dotson. And I
- 3:20Speaker 2: had nothing but good things to say about him. He
- 3:22Speaker 2: was a great dude in the locker room. He did everything.
- 3:24Speaker 2: It was ass of him. You know, he's a good
- 3:25Speaker 2: player too. It just didn't work out. He got picked
- 3:27Speaker 2: up already on the Dolphins, and we'll see now. But
- 3:30Speaker 2: the Seahawks moving on Ernest Jones, Tyree Knight taking over
- 3:33Speaker 2: in the middle at linebacker. Those are the roster moves. Now,
- 3:36Speaker 2: let's put our focus back into those forty nine ers.
- 3:38Speaker 2: What's on tap?
- 3:42Speaker 1: What's on tap?
- 3:44Speaker 2: The San Francisco forty nine ers. Seahow fans are pretty
- 3:47Speaker 2: familiar a little bit with this third five and four,
- 3:51Speaker 2: second place in the NFC West, with wins over the Jets,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the Patriots, the Seahawks, the Cowboys in the Buccaneers losses
- 3:58Speaker 2: to the Vikings, Rams, Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs, and
- 4:02Speaker 2: they're kind of on their way back. They've won two
- 4:05Speaker 2: straight and three their last four. They're only lost no
- 4:07Speaker 2: shame there to Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs. And
- 4:11Speaker 2: they're getting a lot healthier. They're bringing back Christian McCaffrey,
- 4:13Speaker 2: the All Pro running back. But their game against the
- 4:16Speaker 2: Bucks bump actually came down to the wire, not the
- 4:18Speaker 2: game we thought it was gonna happen, but it was
- 4:19Speaker 2: a close one.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It was a close one. It was interesting watching Christian McCaffrey.
- 4:23Speaker 4: He don't look like he's one hundred percent, you see,
- 4:24Speaker 4: there's a little I still got to fiel my way
- 4:26Speaker 4: through this, so we'll see what happens.
- 4:28Speaker 3: But let's talk about that game against the Bucks.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Forty nine is racked up a ton of yardage, almost
- 4:33Speaker 4: doubling the Buccaneers four hundred and thirteen to two hundred
- 4:36Speaker 4: and fifteen, but left nine points off the board when
- 4:39Speaker 4: kicker Jake Moody mo missed three field goals and Deebo
- 4:43Speaker 4: Samuel was not happy about that.
- 4:44Speaker 2: He was not And I mean things happened. I feel
- 4:47Speaker 2: like people made a big deal out of it. Energy's
- 4:49Speaker 2: hot on the sideline. You feel like you're doing your
- 4:51Speaker 2: job and that unit of the team is and things happening.
- 4:54Speaker 3: It's accountability to me.
- 4:55Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, he's walking over, like come on, dog,
- 4:57Speaker 4: like I see one, okay, I can take two three.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Come on, man, you gotta do a job. And that's
- 5:02Speaker 3: all he was saying.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Baker Mayfield, he led a drive to set up the
- 5:05Speaker 4: game time field goal would help him three straight personal
- 5:08Speaker 4: foul penalties in a crazy fourth and seven conversion. My
- 5:11Speaker 4: man was running to the sideline. Bolso had one arm,
- 5:14Speaker 4: He's fighting the mall and he makes that throw. I
- 5:16Speaker 4: was losing it watching that game. I go there's no
- 5:18Speaker 4: way Baker Mayfield makes that throw, but that's exactly what
- 5:21Speaker 4: he did. After the field goal, the score was tied
- 5:23Speaker 4: twenty to forty. They starts tied at twenty with forty
- 5:26Speaker 4: one seconds Romain.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and at that point they got they really messed
- 5:29Speaker 2: in an opportunity there. It's like first and goal from
- 5:31Speaker 2: the five or something. When they didn't score, I was nervous.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I didn't think what was gonna happen is that they
- 5:35Speaker 2: were going to give that up as quickly as they did.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Man Brock.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Party waste no time right down the field, setting up
- 5:41Speaker 2: the redemption. Jake Moody gets out there, connects on a
- 5:43Speaker 2: forty four yard field goal and they win.
- 5:44Speaker 4: To take him out to drink, take him out to dinner,
- 5:47Speaker 4: and all is good. You know, this is what happens football.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Things happen. Yeah, I don't think he too much.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And now he didn't do that though, you know.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Party finished the day twenty five and thirty six for
- 5:55Speaker 4: three hundred fifty three yards and two touchdown and his return.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Christian McCaffrey had one hundred and seven total yards. Thirteen
- 6:01Speaker 4: carris for thirty nine yards, six receptions for sixty eight yards.
- 6:04Speaker 4: The forty nine Ers also did not ease him back
- 6:06Speaker 4: into the game. He played eighty eight percent of the snaps.
- 6:09Speaker 4: They say you healthyrong Ooday, No, that's that.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I mean. McCaffrey scares me because he's he is what
- 6:17Speaker 2: he is, yep best running back and weren't talk a
- 6:19Speaker 2: lot about him. The fact that he's back is tough.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But they got a ton of other weapons. Jennings seven
- 6:24Speaker 2: receptions ninety three yards coming off injury, Ricky Pearsol great story,
- 6:28Speaker 2: great story, four receptions seventy three yards in the touchdowns,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and there wasn't a whole lot offense for Baker. Mayfield
- 6:33Speaker 2: finished the day eighteen of twenty nine one sixteen to
- 6:35Speaker 2: one touchdown, So there was an opportunity the Seahawks were
- 6:39Speaker 2: hoping to get some help that didn't happen. The forty
- 6:41Speaker 2: nine ers find out a way to win, and that's
- 6:43Speaker 2: what they've been doing recently. Bump. When you look at
- 6:45Speaker 2: his head to head, what stands.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Out and you look at the rankings on the Niner side,
- 6:50Speaker 4: there's a whole bunch of doub single digits out there
- 6:53Speaker 4: when it comes to their ranking, their second offense overall,
- 6:55Speaker 4: fifth when it comes to running the Rocks, second and
- 6:57Speaker 4: when it comes to throw on the thing, and seven
- 7:00Speaker 4: when it comes to scoring ports. Defensively, ninth overall, eighth
- 7:03Speaker 4: against the run, twelfth pass defense, and then seventeenth when
- 7:07Speaker 4: it comes to points on the Seahawks side. A lot
- 7:10Speaker 4: of twenties in there, but they still are the best
- 7:12Speaker 4: passing game in the NFL.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I like that. That's where we beat them. We are
- 7:16Speaker 2: number one, they're number two. Yeah, you look at it. Obviously,
- 7:18Speaker 2: defensively is what stands out. The Seahawks obviously have a
- 7:20Speaker 2: lot low numbers. Twenty fifth in total defense, twenty six
- 7:23Speaker 2: against the run, twenty eight against the past, twenty third,
- 7:25Speaker 2: and points allowed. Obviously, we've talked about this. A lot
- 7:27Speaker 2: damage was done early on in the run game. That's
- 7:29Speaker 2: why the numbers look like they do. Silver Lining. The
- 7:32Speaker 2: boys played a lot better against the Rams and hoping
- 7:34Speaker 2: they can kind of put that together, especially after this
- 7:36Speaker 2: bye week, and turn things around there. We are broadcasting
- 7:39Speaker 2: live from the Seahawks Podcast Studio, presented by Sony, the
- 7:42Speaker 2: official partner of the Seattle Seahawks. These two teams have
- 7:45Speaker 2: played a ton recently. Let's know the history, No your history,
- 7:51Speaker 2: Hawks leade all time series thirty to twenty three, twenty
- 7:54Speaker 2: nine to twenty two in the regular season, one to
- 7:55Speaker 2: one in the postseason including the playoffs. The Seahawks have
- 7:59Speaker 2: lost the last six matchups. Man, it pains me to
- 8:02Speaker 2: say that because it's wild, doesn't Felix have been that long,
- 8:04Speaker 2: But it has been because the dominance that was before
- 8:07Speaker 2: Seahawks were sixteen to four in the previous twenty and
- 8:10Speaker 2: the Niners have their number unfortunately right now. And last
- 8:13Speaker 2: game bump that last Thursday night, that was.
- 8:14Speaker 3: A heartbreaker that wone hurt because.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Unfortunately most games have started during this losing street. The
- 8:18Speaker 2: Seahawks fell behind early trail twenty three to three with
- 8:21Speaker 2: ten minutes to go in the third quarter. That's when
- 8:23Speaker 2: Leviska Shanaal took things into his own hands, takes it
- 8:26Speaker 2: ninety seven yards back on the kickoff return, got the
- 8:28Speaker 2: Seahawks back in the game twenty three twenty Seahawks get
- 8:31Speaker 2: a stop and then their best drive probably we've seen
- 8:34Speaker 2: it in the last six years against the Niners. Thirteen
- 8:36Speaker 2: plays ninety four yards ending with a one yard touchdown
- 8:38Speaker 2: run Byken Walker made that a one possession game. Unfortunately,
- 8:42Speaker 2: a little bit of miscommunication. On the falling offensive possession,
- 8:46Speaker 2: Gino's trying to link up a DK metcalf. That ball
- 8:48Speaker 2: gets intercepted, the Niners getting the en zone a couple
- 8:50Speaker 2: plays later George Kittle, but the game was not over.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Seahawks will respond again with a fifteen play seventy yard
- 8:55Speaker 2: touchdown drive ending with a nine yard touchdown. It's Tyler
- 8:58Speaker 2: Lockett and the thing that sucked was Dika had a
- 9:01Speaker 2: long touchdown about three minutes earlier in the drive, which
- 9:04Speaker 2: really would have helped how that game finish. Fortunately, though
- 9:07Speaker 2: the Seahows were still in it one forty four left
- 9:09Speaker 2: in the game, Seahawks had all three timeouts one possession
- 9:12Speaker 2: game they needed to stop to try to come back
- 9:13Speaker 2: and win it. Unfortunately, on that first play, eyes At
- 9:16Speaker 2: Grendo takes a seventy six yards kind of ceiling the game.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Gino finished a day thirty of fifty two to three
- 9:22Speaker 2: hundred and twelve yards, one touchdown, two interceptions. Ken Walker
- 9:26Speaker 2: had just thirty two yards and fourteen carries in a touchdown.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Brock Perty on another side eighteen to twenty eight, two
- 9:31Speaker 2: to fifty five, three touchdowns, and Deebo had three receptions
- 9:35Speaker 2: for one of two in a touchdown box score wasn't great.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Seahawks were out gained four eighty three to three fifty eight,
- 9:41Speaker 2: and the turnover battle lost three zero, and the Seahawks
- 9:43Speaker 2: are out rushed to twenty eight to thirty two. Despite
- 9:46Speaker 2: all that bump, they had a chance.
- 9:48Speaker 3: They did have a chance.
- 9:49Speaker 4: And the reason why the rush numbers are so low
- 9:51Speaker 4: is because when you're down two to three scores from jump,
- 9:54Speaker 4: you gotta throw the football. Gino threw the football fifty
- 9:57Speaker 4: times that game. Fifty times. He's still the only quarterback
- 10:00Speaker 4: year to throw for three hundred yards against these guys.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Though that sounds good, balance will be nice this game. Balance, balance, balance,
- 10:06Speaker 4: but still had a chance. That's all you ask for
- 10:08Speaker 4: end of the game. No matter what happens, you still
- 10:10Speaker 4: have a chance. At the end of the game. They
- 10:12Speaker 4: have that just couldn't finish.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Absolutely and hoping that tied shifts a little bit because
- 10:15Speaker 2: we'll talk about a little later. You can't get down
- 10:17Speaker 2: to a good football team like that because it's hard
- 10:19Speaker 2: to play one dimensional with guys like Nick Bosa and
- 10:21Speaker 2: other people on the defense. It is hard. But let's
- 10:24Speaker 2: football attention to what's going on in the rest of
- 10:26Speaker 2: the NFC West. What's the word side.
- 10:32Speaker 3: And the Seahawks or the NFC West champs?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Again, what's the word in the West? On hot Talk?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Everybody's still in the fight, everybody, Everybody's still in the fight.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Arizona Cardinals six and four at the top of the
- 10:45Speaker 4: NFC West. You got the Niners at five and four,
- 10:48Speaker 4: and the Rams and Seahawks are knotted up at the
- 10:50Speaker 4: bottom at four and five. The Cardinals, man, they won
- 10:53Speaker 4: four games in a row, five out of their last six.
- 10:56Speaker 4: It's probably time to start saying that these dudes are
- 10:58Speaker 4: for real.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You gotta respect it.
- 11:02Speaker 4: You are what your record is, and your record gives
- 11:04Speaker 4: you the number one spot in the NFC West. For
- 11:06Speaker 4: the Seahawks, they are now four and five and currently
- 11:08Speaker 4: in last place in the NFC West, but they're not
- 11:11Speaker 4: out of it. Like I mentioned, however, three of the
- 11:13Speaker 4: next four games are against divisional opponents. The next month
- 11:16Speaker 4: will be huge in deciding the Seahawks playoff. Faith, these
- 11:19Speaker 4: are must win games. Starts with the Niners. I'm glad
- 11:22Speaker 4: they're getting them off of by more time to prepare.
- 11:24Speaker 4: The guys are getting healthy.
- 11:26Speaker 3: You've made a couple changes and now you get to
- 11:28Speaker 3: go out there and ball out.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, probably the first time I feel like we've in
- 11:32Speaker 2: this streak or the Seahawks have had the advantage in
- 11:35Speaker 2: terms of rest heading into this game, so they're definitely
- 11:37Speaker 2: gonna need to take advantage of that bump. Jets and
- 11:40Speaker 2: Cardinals going down.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Man, Now, it was not close. From the opening whistle.
- 11:44Speaker 4: It wasn't close. Arizona labt twenty four to six. At
- 11:47Speaker 4: a halftime, the Cardinals had a two thirty nine to
- 11:50Speaker 4: eighty five advantage in total yards.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Kyler Murray is looking good, man.
- 11:54Speaker 4: The Jets were shut out in the second half of
- 11:55Speaker 4: the Cardinals roll tour thirty one to six victory. Kyler
- 11:59Speaker 4: Murray playing his best football in his career, and it's
- 12:02Speaker 4: that's why I look at Gannon and what he's doing
- 12:04Speaker 4: over there, and you see the progression. It takes time.
- 12:07Speaker 4: In the NFL. People want instant satisfaction. We saw the
- 12:10Speaker 4: struggles last year, but somehow he's gotten into Kyler Murray's
- 12:14Speaker 4: brain and has allowed him to flourish. He was twenty
- 12:17Speaker 4: two or twenty four for two sixty six, one touchdown
- 12:20Speaker 4: and also rushed for two touchdowns. At one point, Murty's
- 12:23Speaker 4: had a franchise record with seventeen straight completions. James Connor,
- 12:27Speaker 4: running back over there, had one hundred and three total
- 12:29Speaker 4: yards and one touchdowns. The Cardinals also out rusted Jets
- 12:32Speaker 4: one forty seven to seventy nine. Aaron Rodgers was less
- 12:36Speaker 4: than impressive. That's his whole year. Is this less than impressive? Yeah,
- 12:39Speaker 4: I mean this is who he is at this point. Man,
- 12:42Speaker 4: it's forty. He's forty goodness. Twenty two of thirty five
- 12:45Speaker 4: for one to fifty one, zero touchdowns, zero interceptions, and
- 12:48Speaker 4: he was also sacked and fumbled on fourth and goal
- 12:50Speaker 4: from the third yard line. It's almost like his mistakes
- 12:54Speaker 4: just they don't resemble the mistakes of the past. Like
- 12:57Speaker 4: the mistakes of the past were him trying to make
- 12:59Speaker 4: a fifty passed down the field when they really needed
- 13:01Speaker 4: him it's interception. It just feels like things are much
- 13:04Speaker 4: harder for him with the Jets, even though he got
- 13:06Speaker 4: the Homie DeVante over there, who had six receptions for
- 13:09Speaker 4: thirty one yards.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Yeah, not good enough, it's not I'll just say this.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Things could be worse.
- 13:14Speaker 3: It could be.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Things can be worse as bad as it's been recently.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Things can be worse. Seahawks fans will keep minded that
- 13:20Speaker 2: the Cardinals have a bye week and they're gonna be
- 13:22Speaker 2: well wrested when they take on the Seahawks at Luminfield
- 13:24Speaker 2: in two weeks. So that's gonna be a big one,
- 13:26Speaker 2: a big game for sure. Elsewhere in the division, Dolphins
- 13:28Speaker 2: went to the Rams. The Seahawks finally got some help.
- 13:31Speaker 2: It is a solid finally, Thank you, thank you, Tua.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You're looking good now.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Hey, but Tua, man, don't be trying to tackle nobody
- 13:37Speaker 4: after interceptions.
- 13:38Speaker 3: You see that, Tua, get out the way.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Come on, man, do that like the kicker like punter
- 13:43Speaker 2: drive by or you look are gonna do it?
- 13:44Speaker 3: And yeah, the Genikowski remember Jenet Casti at that?
- 13:47Speaker 4: Yeahs running let him go, man, tick a trip them,
- 13:49Speaker 4: get a pillant this trip and get a penalty.
- 13:51Speaker 2: You're good anyway, Speaking of to it, he was twenty
- 13:52Speaker 2: twenty eight one touchdown, win, interception, not amazing stats, but
- 13:56Speaker 2: where he made his money was on third down nine
- 13:58Speaker 2: of twelve, one hundred and thirty seven yards alone. Tyreek
- 14:01Speaker 2: Hill only had three receptions, becaught his first touchdowns since
- 14:03Speaker 2: the season opener, and the Rams out gained the Dolphins
- 14:06Speaker 2: three twenty seven to two thirty eight held a slight
- 14:08Speaker 2: advantage time possession, but the difference was their inability to
- 14:11Speaker 2: score in the red zone, having to settle for five
- 14:14Speaker 2: field goals. Stafford finished the day thirty two to forty six,
- 14:17Speaker 2: two ninety three, no touchdowns, one interception. Kyin Williams was
- 14:21Speaker 2: held to sixty two yards on fifteen carries and fumbled once.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Who Ganacua let all receivers nine receptions for ninety eight,
- 14:27Speaker 2: so he was still doing his thing. And the Rams
- 14:29Speaker 2: are going to head to New England to play the
- 14:30Speaker 2: Patriots on Sunday, so hoping the Seahawks can get a
- 14:33Speaker 2: little bit more.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Help there that's allowed to ask for though the Patriots.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I don't know. DRAMs May is kind of slimming that day, though,
- 14:40Speaker 2: is he not? Though he's doing it.
- 14:41Speaker 4: He's going. He's maturing in front of our very eyes. Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 4: a little get them rake, Yes he is.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Let's flip it back to these forty nine ers and
- 14:48Speaker 2: man ups, man man.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Up on Hawk talk.
- 15:00Speaker 2: We always started with the quarterback bump. That could be
- 15:02Speaker 2: any different here Brock Party taking on this sea off
- 15:04Speaker 2: defense and Party again, he's an interesting one. We know
- 15:08Speaker 2: he's a good quarterback at this point. I think that's
- 15:10Speaker 2: pretty self to say. He set him up and down moments.
- 15:12Speaker 2: So far in twenty twenty four, he's also been without
- 15:14Speaker 2: some of his top guys. Brandon Ayuk done for the
- 15:17Speaker 2: season after Week seven towards ACL Christian McCaffrey was out
- 15:20Speaker 2: this entire year. He's finally coming back. Deebo Samuel has
- 15:23Speaker 2: only missed one full game, but he's been in and
- 15:25Speaker 2: out of the lineup a couple different injuries. That being said,
- 15:28Speaker 2: Party's coming off the best performance of the season last week.
- 15:31Speaker 2: He was twenty five to thirty six three hundred and
- 15:33Speaker 2: fifty three yards two touchdowns, which was the season high
- 15:35Speaker 2: passing yards. Also finished the day with a career high
- 15:38Speaker 2: one fifty eight point three passer rating that is the
- 15:41Speaker 2: best in his career obviously, and the best for the
- 15:43Speaker 2: forty nine ers in a game where he had at
- 15:45Speaker 2: least twenty five passing attempts. So Perty did his thing
- 15:48Speaker 2: last week. But the thing about Brock Party Bump is
- 15:52Speaker 2: turnout he'll turn that thing over, and it really if
- 15:54Speaker 2: you look at the numbers, it's the key to their success. Honestly, Party,
- 15:57Speaker 2: when you take care of the football, the Niners generally win,
- 16:00Speaker 2: and when he doesn't, they generally lose. Six of the
- 16:02Speaker 2: seven interceptions he has this season have come in losses.
- 16:05Speaker 2: The forty nine Ers are one in three when Perty
- 16:07Speaker 2: is throwing an interception, and they are four to one
- 16:09Speaker 2: when he doesn't throw a pick. And the Niners the
- 16:11Speaker 2: one thing they do struggle in is a red zone,
- 16:13Speaker 2: which is surprising. It's shocking because they're kind of struggling
- 16:16Speaker 2: in the red zone last time we played them. But
- 16:18Speaker 2: the numbers have not even doubt. They're only scoring touchdowns
- 16:21Speaker 2: forty seven percent of the time, which is twenty eighth
- 16:24Speaker 2: in the National Football League. On the year, he's won
- 16:26Speaker 2: eighty one for two seventy eight two four hundred and
- 16:28Speaker 2: fifty four yards, twelve touchdowns, seven interceptions, and two fumbles loss.
- 16:33Speaker 2: He also has two hundred and twenty seven yards on
- 16:34Speaker 2: the ground and three touchdowns. Last weeknd's the last matchup
- 16:38Speaker 2: against Seahawks. Two hundred fifty five yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions.
- 16:42Speaker 2: So here's the thing, bomb if you got to find
- 16:44Speaker 2: a way to turn the ball over. When he's taking
- 16:46Speaker 2: care of the football, he is really hard to defend.
- 16:48Speaker 2: He extend plays Paul Moyers talked a lot about this,
- 16:50Speaker 2: about his ability to extend plays and that the Seahawks
- 16:52Speaker 2: are actually in a lot of good places the last matchup.
- 16:54Speaker 2: But he would extend to play and then he'd kill you,
- 16:56Speaker 2: leak out ten yards down the field. He could play
- 16:59Speaker 2: some ball, and the way to beat them is taking
- 17:01Speaker 2: the ball away. So we'll see if se As can
- 17:03Speaker 2: get that done on Sunday.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Him extending plays is like a little toddler when they're
- 17:07Speaker 4: trying to run from you before the bad time or whatnot,
- 17:10Speaker 4: and you're right there and they to slip right balue.
- 17:12Speaker 3: That's party man.
- 17:13Speaker 4: He's got twenty three rushing first downs, that's second on
- 17:16Speaker 4: the team, so that third and short situation, he's good
- 17:18Speaker 4: for it. He has a quick burst. He's not going
- 17:20Speaker 4: to run for thirty five forty yards. He's not even
- 17:23Speaker 4: I would say he's quicker than Pat Mahomes, but Pat
- 17:25Speaker 4: Mahomes just has a feel for angles and stuff.
- 17:27Speaker 3: But he's got that quick little burst. That's what makes
- 17:29Speaker 3: them dangerous.
- 17:30Speaker 4: He will get you, so man, grab him, get him
- 17:33Speaker 4: to the ground, and do it often.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Let's talk about our quarterback. Gino had an interesting game
- 17:38Speaker 3: last week.
- 17:39Speaker 4: But it was twenty one to thirty four for three
- 17:40Speaker 4: hundred six three yards and three touchdowns. Has some clutch throws.
- 17:43Speaker 4: He looked good at times, but there was the turnover issue.
- 17:47Speaker 4: He had three interceptions. So he opened in this presser
- 17:51Speaker 4: following the Rams games with this comment. These comments he
- 17:54Speaker 4: took it look, he goes. Look, first of all, I
- 17:56Speaker 4: want to start off by apologizing to my teammates really
- 17:59Speaker 4: and to the city, to the organization. Smith said, they
- 18:02Speaker 4: put a lot of trust in me with my decision making,
- 18:05Speaker 4: and when they put the ball in my hands, when
- 18:07Speaker 4: my teammates played the way they play today and give
- 18:10Speaker 4: us a shot to win the game. I've got to
- 18:11Speaker 4: make sure we do the things I did today. Mistakes
- 18:14Speaker 4: I made they affect us negatively and really cost us
- 18:17Speaker 4: the game today. Meno on myself, I know how much
- 18:19Speaker 4: this is going to hurt. I'm going to step it
- 18:22Speaker 4: up though. That's how I feel about it. I'm going
- 18:24Speaker 4: to step it up. He did what a quarterback is
- 18:26Speaker 4: supposed to do, right. It ain't all on Geno, but
- 18:29Speaker 4: he is a quarterback. He's the face of the franchise.
- 18:31Speaker 4: He realizes that he steps with to the podium every
- 18:34Speaker 4: game win or lose, and he takes the bullets. That's
- 18:37Speaker 4: what he did right there, Gino, I know it ain't
- 18:39Speaker 4: just shoot though, Okay, you got to take some responsibility.
- 18:41Speaker 4: There were some throws at a throw that I felt
- 18:43Speaker 4: like that was on him. But there's some things that
- 18:46Speaker 4: happened that's out of his control. But he did what
- 18:48Speaker 4: he's supposed to do.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah, But to your point, I don't even think that
- 18:50Speaker 2: was necessary because of it's a team game and all
- 18:53Speaker 2: that stuff. But I love to see accountability and that's
- 18:55Speaker 2: just the leader seven is.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Yep, that's what he does. So Gino through ten weeks
- 19:00Speaker 3: and this is where he is.
- 19:00Speaker 4: He's fourth when he comes to passing yards, he's eleventh
- 19:03Speaker 4: in completion percentage. He's thirty completions in fourth for attempts
- 19:07Speaker 4: against San Francisco, all right.
- 19:08Speaker 3: In his five starts, he struggled a little bit.
- 19:11Speaker 4: He's one twenty eight of one to eighty eight six
- 19:13Speaker 4: eight percent completion, eleven hundred eighty yards, four touchdowns, five interceptions.
- 19:17Speaker 4: He's been sacked fifteen times with a zero to five record.
- 19:20Speaker 4: That surprises me, even though you read out the stat
- 19:22Speaker 4: that they're old for the last six I just knew
- 19:24Speaker 4: Gino had at least one win against his dudes, but
- 19:28Speaker 4: it's been attributed to a lot of the pressure, right,
- 19:30Speaker 4: That's why he's struggled a bit. And there's no secret
- 19:33Speaker 4: this line of struggle. So obviously Gino is going to struggle.
- 19:36Speaker 4: So we'll see what he does against the ninth defense
- 19:38Speaker 4: overall and twelfth against the pass.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah, they're good football team, we know that, and part
- 19:43Speaker 2: of it is you can't get down to these massive
- 19:45Speaker 2: deficits because whether you're running the ball well or not,
- 19:49Speaker 2: it's about the illusion that you can. And if a
- 19:51Speaker 2: guy like Nick Bosa and all those guys can just
- 19:53Speaker 2: get ready for a passing down every single time, and
- 19:55Speaker 2: you're asking everyone to pass set a million times, that's
- 19:58Speaker 2: not a restpee to win, no, almost against anyone nation footballleague.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So I'm open the Seahawks and get that going and
- 20:04Speaker 2: Gino can get off to a little bit better start
- 20:06Speaker 2: against these forty nine ers. Footprint it two the do
- 20:09Speaker 2: everything Swiss army Knife Christian McCaffrey back taking on the
- 20:12Speaker 2: Seahawks front seven. We know how dangerous he is. It's
- 20:15Speaker 2: his resume speaks for herself. Three time Pro bowler, two
- 20:18Speaker 2: time All Pro twenty twenty three AP Offensive Player of
- 20:21Speaker 2: the Year, but he's been on IR since September fourteenth,
- 20:24Speaker 2: hadn't played until this last weekend. He had to go
- 20:26Speaker 2: down and see a specialist in Germany working on his
- 20:29Speaker 2: Achilles tenonitis. Wherever he got done, He's back in the lineup.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You talked about it earlier. One hundred and seven total yards.
- 20:34Speaker 2: He played eighty eight percent of snap So they didn't
- 20:36Speaker 2: ease him into the ball game, and they're definitely not
- 20:38Speaker 2: going to ease him into the Seahawks. Now another week
- 20:41Speaker 2: under his belt, and he's dangerous, and it's how you
- 20:43Speaker 2: attack him, and it's being your rush LANs, all the
- 20:46Speaker 2: things you have to be perfect against this guy. But
- 20:48Speaker 2: what makes me positive, It gives me a moment of clarity.
- 20:51Speaker 2: He's like, no, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:54Speaker 2: It's what the Seahawks defense did against the Rams last week.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Before last week, the Seahaws had given up one hundred
- 20:59Speaker 2: and fifty yards war Street weeks. Okay, they held the
- 21:02Speaker 2: Rams to just six year yards rushing, first time they've
- 21:04Speaker 2: done that since the Detroit game. They ranked twenty six
- 21:07Speaker 2: in the NFL, allowing one hundred and thirty nine yards
- 21:09Speaker 2: per game. Obviously, that's not where they want to be,
- 21:11Speaker 2: but they showed us something last week. Now it's also
- 21:13Speaker 2: gonna be different because now you have a different linebacker
- 21:16Speaker 2: combination that's playing this week. Ernest Jones has been here
- 21:18Speaker 2: for a little bit longer, so he's getting even more
- 21:20Speaker 2: of his legs underneath him. Then you throw on the
- 21:22Speaker 2: rookie Tyres Knight, Slawt Strake Thomas. We'll see how dirty
- 21:25Speaker 2: and McDonald switched up the defense in terms of packages nickels.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They talked a lot about Devin Witherspoon. Is he gonna
- 21:31Speaker 2: get little bit more pressures because the number show when
- 21:33Speaker 2: he does when he does blitz, the Seahawks defense is
- 21:36Speaker 2: performing a little bit better. So we'll see what happened there.
- 21:38Speaker 2: But like when you're playing this team, bump, you gotta
- 21:40Speaker 2: be so right. Your eyes gotta be on point, that perfect.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Your eyes gotta be on point because they're gonna make
- 21:46Speaker 4: a cross eye with all the stuff they're doing a
- 21:48Speaker 4: pre snap, but pull this way, roll that way.
- 21:50Speaker 3: They gotta be on point. And I'm encouraged.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I want to see what the young mister Knight can
- 21:55Speaker 4: do on with that squad. Let's talk about their wide receivers, Man, Goodness, Graces,
- 21:59Speaker 4: Deep Samuel, you know them, Man and Juwan. Jenny's coming
- 22:02Speaker 4: off a good game. Ricky Pierce saw great story. Like
- 22:05Speaker 4: you mentioned, my man was shot and discorded his first
- 22:08Speaker 4: touchdown last week. Every position group on this team has talent,
- 22:13Speaker 4: but they are without Brandon. Iuki towards acl as you
- 22:16Speaker 4: mentioned earlier in the Week seven, But you know what,
- 22:19Speaker 4: I don't feel too bad for them. I feel bad
- 22:20Speaker 4: for Brandon Au, but not for this team because they're good,
- 22:23Speaker 4: all right. They still got Deebo Samuel, and we know
- 22:26Speaker 4: he does a little bit of everything. Man, he's got
- 22:28Speaker 4: forty overall touchdowns in his career.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Forty.
- 22:30Speaker 4: It's like twenty twenty twenty past twenty run It's it's ridiculous.
- 22:35Speaker 4: He had one of his best games of the season
- 22:36Speaker 4: against the Seahawks, where he had three receptions for one
- 22:39Speaker 4: hundred and two yards, including that big seventy six yard touchdown.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I believe was that right after halftime. It was like
- 22:44Speaker 3: after we answered.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, it was earlier. It was early in the game,
- 22:47Speaker 2: because remember it was a play that like looked like
- 22:48Speaker 2: Julian Love was trying to make up four. Kind of
- 22:50Speaker 2: misjudge it. I think that's went up fourteen three, But yeah,
- 22:52Speaker 2: big play yep.
- 22:53Speaker 4: On the year, he has twenty nine receptions for four
- 22:55Speaker 4: hundred and sixty eight yards in one touchdown. Also has
- 22:58Speaker 4: twenty six cares for eighty yards and a touchdown.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Probably man.
- 23:01Speaker 4: One of the biggest surprises of the season has been
- 23:03Speaker 4: the emergence of Jiuwan Jennys. Jenny's already has better numbers
- 23:07Speaker 4: than all of last season four hundred and ninety seven
- 23:10Speaker 4: receiving yards. He made his return to the lineup on
- 23:13Speaker 4: Sunday after missing several weeks with a hip injury. Against
- 23:16Speaker 4: the Bucks, he led all receivers with seven receptions for
- 23:19Speaker 4: ninety three yards and the first match up against the Hawks,
- 23:21Speaker 4: they have three for twenty seven. On the year, thirty
- 23:23Speaker 4: two receptions four hundred ninety seven yards in three touchdowns.
- 23:26Speaker 4: And now the young man from Florida Wrecky Piersoll caught
- 23:30Speaker 4: his first NFL touchdown this past week against the Bucks,
- 23:33Speaker 4: just ten weeks after being shot in the chest during
- 23:35Speaker 4: an attempted robbery. The fact that he's playing now is
- 23:39Speaker 4: just amazing. My man was shot, My man was shot.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Nash and he is in the league and making plays,
- 23:46Speaker 4: and I'll watch him on film. He's not just a
- 23:48Speaker 4: guy who's out there. No, he's a route runner. He
- 23:51Speaker 4: has great hands to run after the catch is crazy.
- 23:53Speaker 4: He's gonna be a problem. He was in a first
- 23:55Speaker 4: round pick for no reason.
- 23:56Speaker 2: And the crazy thing about that story you read up
- 23:58Speaker 2: on it, the god was looking down on the fact
- 24:02Speaker 2: that the bullet went through didn't touch anything on either side.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I mean, first of all, and he was a g
- 24:07Speaker 2: he just walked up, got in the ambulance. I'm like, Holy,
- 24:11Speaker 2: he's a problem. And you watch this Bucks game and
- 24:12Speaker 2: you watch him and you're like, oh, he's gonna continue.
- 24:14Speaker 2: He's starting to get his legs underneath him. He's gonna
- 24:17Speaker 2: be a problem. And the Seahawks are definitely have to
- 24:18Speaker 2: come with it. They're twentieth against the pass, only two
- 24:21Speaker 2: hundred eighteen yards per game. So we'll see what between
- 24:23Speaker 2: Spoon and Reeke and now Josh Joe, who looks like
- 24:26Speaker 2: he's gonna be the next guy, that third guy at corner.
- 24:28Speaker 3: So that's a good story too, Josh Joe, great story.
- 24:31Speaker 2: What's footpoitar receivers DK Metcalf, Jason Tyler Lockett. Jaysen is
- 24:36Speaker 2: coming off one of the best games in Seahawk history.
- 24:39Speaker 2: That's the crazy thing. So he had seven receptions, one
- 24:41Speaker 2: hundred and eighty yards two touchdowns. Those are both career highs.
- 24:44Speaker 2: He joined the list with only Tyler Lockett and Steve
- 24:46Speaker 2: Margin as the only members to have one hundred and
- 24:48Speaker 2: eighty yards receiving and two touchdowns. That was with having
- 24:51Speaker 2: seventy eight yards receiving taken off the board. He would
- 24:54Speaker 2: have been number two all time in like two hundred and
- 24:57Speaker 2: fifty some reception yards if those penalties didn't happen. Unfortunately
- 25:00Speaker 2: they did. So it was Jason's second one hundred yard
- 25:03Speaker 2: receiving game and I hope he can build off that
- 25:05Speaker 2: because he's kind of showed you the blueprint. We talked
- 25:07Speaker 2: about this before he had that little screen. He showed
- 25:10Speaker 2: some wiggle. Now he's getting over the top all the
- 25:12Speaker 2: things that we thought we were going to see when
- 25:14Speaker 2: we drafted him, and he's always had it, so it's
- 25:16Speaker 2: really cool to see him kind of show that off.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Last week. He's tied with dk Metcalf for team leading
- 25:20Speaker 2: receiving yards. He's got fifty receptions, five hundred and sixty
- 25:23Speaker 2: eight yards on the year and three touchdowns. Last time
- 25:25Speaker 2: against the Niners, he was five receptions for fifty three yards.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Now DK metcalf. I'me on DK hoping to make his
- 25:31Speaker 2: return to the lineup after being out the last two
- 25:33Speaker 2: weeks with mcl injury. Coach McDonald's been optimistic all week.
- 25:36Speaker 2: We're gonna have to wait and see. They probably gona
- 25:38Speaker 2: take that up to game time, but we know how
- 25:39Speaker 2: dangerous DK is in what he does to a defense
- 25:42Speaker 2: when he's on the field. Despite missing two games, DK
- 25:46Speaker 2: still up there. He's got five to sixty eight three touchdowns.
- 25:48Speaker 2: The last game against the Niners, he had three receptions
- 25:50Speaker 2: forty yards, had a fifty yard touchdown taken away the penalty.
- 25:54Speaker 2: So hopefully DK is back out there and then got
- 25:56Speaker 2: the og J mister consistent on the season thirty four receptions,
- 26:01Speaker 2: four hundred and fifty six yards and two touchdowns. But
- 26:04Speaker 2: I saw this stat and it blew my mind. I
- 26:06Speaker 2: didn't even think it was real. But Tyler has not
- 26:09Speaker 2: had one hundred yard game since Week thirteen of twenty
- 26:11Speaker 2: twenty two lies. He's had a couple in the nineties.
- 26:14Speaker 3: It's just crazy.
- 26:15Speaker 2: It's just when you think about that, because he's just
- 26:17Speaker 2: so consistent.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Yeah, all that tells me is, oh, boys, due, he's due.
- 26:21Speaker 2: He's due for a big one because he's too consistent.
- 26:23Speaker 2: And if the Seahawks are running the ball and doing
- 26:25Speaker 2: different things, he can be a guy that's going to
- 26:27Speaker 2: be in there in the slot causing havoc against this
- 26:30Speaker 2: Niners team. We talked about twelve th against the pass.
- 26:32Speaker 2: There's six in the NFL in interceptions with ten and
- 26:34Speaker 2: eighth in the NFL passes defended. And the other dude
- 26:38Speaker 2: just got paid. So the Leonor and ward Tho's got
- 26:42Speaker 2: some good corners. So the Seahawks receivers were definitely gonna
- 26:45Speaker 2: have their work cut out for him.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Man, come on, come on, that's the triot right there.
- 26:48Speaker 4: We need them to ball out and we need the
- 26:51Speaker 4: offensive line to take care of a man by the
- 26:53Speaker 4: name of Nick Bosa. If you don't know who he is,
- 26:55Speaker 4: he must have just started watching football, because in twenty
- 26:58Speaker 4: twenty two was a Defensive Player of the Year eighteen sacks.
- 27:02Speaker 4: He was voted to the Pro Bowl in finished six.
- 27:04Speaker 4: When it comes to MVP voting, the last game against
- 27:09Speaker 4: the Seahawks, he had himself a good game, but if
- 27:11Speaker 4: you don't know what you're looking at, then you might say,
- 27:13Speaker 4: what are you talking about? He had four tackles and
- 27:15Speaker 4: two QB hits, but he was all over that game,
- 27:17Speaker 4: man fourteen pressures. According to NFL next Gen Stats, it
- 27:21Speaker 4: was the league's most productive outing in that regard since
- 27:24Speaker 4: Bosa notch fourteen pressures in twenty twenty two and then
- 27:27Speaker 4: win over the Rams.
- 27:28Speaker 3: So far on the year, thirty two tackles, five and.
- 27:31Speaker 4: A half sacks, eight TFLs, fifteen QB hits, one force
- 27:34Speaker 4: fund but one pass defended, one interception. Nick Bosa will
- 27:37Speaker 4: be a problem for this defense, for this offensive line.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Excuse me, Nick Bosa. Just watch him work his stance.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Lets you know he's here for business right the way
- 27:49Speaker 4: he gets back there.
- 27:50Speaker 3: And he's relentless.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Man, he's one of the best defensive lineman I've seen
- 27:54Speaker 4: watching the game in the last twenty five years. And
- 27:56Speaker 4: he's going to be a problem. So we'll see what
- 27:58Speaker 4: cross looks like against him, because he'll see him. We'll
- 28:00Speaker 4: see if Abe plays, if he'll be a problem to
- 28:02Speaker 4: fingers crossed. So we shall see. But o line gotta
- 28:05Speaker 4: be ready to go because nick Bosa does not play.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Gosh, I really want ab to come back. Man, he
- 28:10Speaker 2: just again, I don't want to put all the pressure
- 28:13Speaker 2: expecting to be the savior of this group and all
- 28:15Speaker 2: of a sudden there are gonna be a top line
- 28:16Speaker 2: in the game. But he brings that dog, that nastiness.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Abe was the nicest dude, silent, but when you get
- 28:21Speaker 2: on the football field there was seventy two is a
- 28:23Speaker 2: problem too. I'm excited to see, hopefully he can come back.
- 28:26Speaker 2: We'll definitely wait and see on that. Probably gonna take
- 28:28Speaker 2: that up to the game time and last match you
- 28:30Speaker 2: want to look at. You want to up another old,
- 28:32Speaker 2: reliable wan of the best to do it in the game.
- 28:34Speaker 2: George Kittle and man second in the NFL and receiving
- 28:38Speaker 2: yards among tight ends forty three receptions, five hundred and
- 28:41Speaker 2: sixty yards, seven touchdowns. His seven receiving touchdowns is second
- 28:44Speaker 2: in the entire NFL. He's a guy that will pancake you.
- 28:48Speaker 2: He'll beat you over the top. He's just a matchup nightmare.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Last game against the Hawks, five receptions, fifty eight yards
- 28:53Speaker 2: and two touchdowns. They got weapons, Bump, we know they
- 28:57Speaker 2: got weapons. Yeah, but I'm telling you man, I think
- 29:00Speaker 2: this is it? Will right? Please you?
- 29:05Speaker 1: Right?
- 29:05Speaker 3: I will.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I'm with you.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 29:06Speaker 2: It's been a week. Come on, Donald got the boys right.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I'm feeling good about this one, bumba. Let's tell everyone
- 29:11Speaker 2: how the seas are gonna get this done. Path to victory.
- 29:15Speaker 3: After forty five waits for the staff, Michael Dixon puts
- 29:18Speaker 3: it down. That kick is away.
- 29:20Speaker 2: If that kick.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Is gone, good, stay off.
- 29:23Speaker 1: When it's gone. It's a path to victory. On Hawk Talk.
- 29:28Speaker 2: If last week was one of the biggest games in
- 29:30Speaker 2: the Coach McDonald era in such a short time, this
- 29:32Speaker 2: one's even bigger. Fast Seahawks are owned two in the Division,
- 29:35Speaker 2: one in four in the NFC, and this game is
- 29:37Speaker 2: gonna have huge playoff implications. It's one of those things
- 29:40Speaker 2: you got to get in there and slay the Giant.
- 29:41Speaker 2: The Seahawks have lost six games in a row to
- 29:44Speaker 2: this forty nine er squad.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Lay the Giant. I like that.
- 29:47Speaker 4: In order to change their faith, the Seahawks need to
- 29:49Speaker 4: start fast and stop digging themselves in a hole man
- 29:52Speaker 4: six game. During the six game losing streak, the Seahawks
- 29:55Speaker 4: have trailed at halftime by combined score of one hundred
- 29:59Speaker 4: and four to thirty six. Matthing, my thing, but that
- 30:02Speaker 4: that don't sound good. That don't sound good. The Hawks
- 30:05Speaker 4: have led at halftime only once during that stretch too,
- 30:09Speaker 4: in twenty twenty two wildcard game against these guys, and
- 30:12Speaker 4: have trailed by double digits in four of the last
- 30:15Speaker 4: six games.
- 30:16Speaker 3: You cannot win that way, you got it.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I'm not even asking to be up by a bunch
- 30:21Speaker 4: at half right, just be within striking range.
- 30:23Speaker 3: So now you can run the football.
- 30:25Speaker 4: You can call the game that you want to call
- 30:26Speaker 4: if you are grub instead of saying, all right, gino,
- 30:29Speaker 4: let's throw the ball. They throwing the ball what three
- 30:31Speaker 4: hundred and eighty five times, and Gina's been pressured like
- 30:33Speaker 4: one hundred and thirty something times, Like it's it's a
- 30:35Speaker 4: lot to ask that offensive line to protect that that
- 30:38Speaker 4: much for that long, right, and for Gina to perform
- 30:40Speaker 4: at a high level.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't. You can't play for buying against a
- 30:43Speaker 2: good team. That just it's gonna be hard to beat
- 30:45Speaker 2: any in the NFL when you're behind that much and
- 30:46Speaker 2: you become one dimensional. The Hawks have also struggled to
- 30:49Speaker 2: run the ball during that six game streak. The Seahawks
- 30:51Speaker 2: are averaging just sixty seven yards per game, rushing three
- 30:54Speaker 2: point seven per carry, one hundred and eight carries for
- 30:57Speaker 2: four hundred and four yards. So that's also not going
- 30:59Speaker 2: to get it done. And then you alluded to it.
- 31:01Speaker 2: They gotta protect, you know, Nick Bosa cannot ruin the
- 31:03Speaker 2: football game. You can't have double.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Digit pressures yep. And red zone. The red zone has
- 31:08Speaker 4: been an issue. Yeah, these are these past few games.
- 31:11Speaker 4: So take care of the ball and execute. We can't
- 31:13Speaker 4: have the high snaps or the interception. You just have
- 31:16Speaker 4: to be efficient down there, and if you do that,
- 31:20Speaker 4: you give yourself a chance.
- 31:21Speaker 3: To score some dang points.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Gotta have it SEWK. I don't want to say have
- 31:24Speaker 2: to play perfect, but they have to come out and
- 31:26Speaker 2: start fast and play well like we know they can.
- 31:28Speaker 2: They have enough guys on the strawsser to get it done.
- 31:30Speaker 2: The Niners aren't some They're not the Kansasity Chiefs right now.
- 31:33Speaker 2: They're five and four. They've lost four games, and they
- 31:36Speaker 2: look bad in some of those games. I know they're
- 31:38Speaker 2: a good football team. We just talked about about half
- 31:40Speaker 2: hour talking about how good a football team they are.
- 31:42Speaker 2: But the Seahawks have some dudes too. We're hoping they
- 31:43Speaker 2: can get that done. Reminder, you can hear us everywhere
- 31:46Speaker 2: on YouTube, seahawks dot com, podcast, Spotify, Serius XM, and
- 31:50Speaker 2: more Runner YouTube under the Seahawks Press Pass channel. We'll
- 31:53Speaker 2: be talking to you next week, hopefully about a Seahawks victory.
- 31:56Speaker 2: He's Michael Bombas, I'm Nasa Choby. This has been another
- 31:58Speaker 2: edition of Hawk Talk. Want to you guys next week.
- 32:02Speaker 4: No good man, good many m
