- 0:05Speaker 3: Here in the studios, we've been hearing Josh Rave about
- 0:07Speaker 3: all the hot female newscasters you got to hang out
- 0:10Speaker 3: with yesterday Bronco's training camp. Did your girlfriend know about this? Oh,
- 0:15Speaker 3: she's about to after all these hot reporters.
- 0:18Speaker 4: I think if she saw one in specific, she would
- 0:22Speaker 4: not be mad about it.
- 0:24Speaker 5: She is, who is it? Kay Adams.
- 0:26Speaker 4: She's just like the most stunning broadcaster that you'll ever see.
- 0:30Speaker 5: I mean, she's beautiful. You can't put it any other way.
- 0:34Speaker 4: I was down at Bronco's training camp yesterday and she
- 0:37Speaker 4: was there. So she kind of travels to every team
- 0:39Speaker 4: throughout training camp, and yesterday I got luck of the Yeah,
- 0:43Speaker 4: I got luck at the draw, are we Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Knows a lot about football too.
- 0:49Speaker 5: Oh she does?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Okay, good, want to put that out there.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Brilliant football mind as well, Like seriously, she knows her
- 0:55Speaker 4: stuff there. Oh, she's there for a reason for sure.
- 0:59Speaker 4: She brought everybody voodoo donuts.
- 1:01Speaker 5: That's another thing.
- 1:02Speaker 4: She brought everybody voodoo donuts, which is so great. And
- 1:05Speaker 4: I think I've also been like permanently baby fied. I
- 1:10Speaker 4: know you just keep looking at her, babyfied or what's
- 1:12Speaker 4: the fight? I don't know how to say it. Working
- 1:14Speaker 4: here with you guys, I have not had to take
- 1:16Speaker 4: on as much of a sports load, meaning like I
- 1:19Speaker 4: haven't had to cover the Broncos as much anymore. And
- 1:22Speaker 4: while you went out there yesterday, it was so hot
- 1:25Speaker 4: and I spent so many hours out there.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Okay, cool, yeah no, but I'm.
- 1:30Speaker 5: Like, I'm so used to the AC. I'm like, bring
- 1:34Speaker 5: me back to the AC.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I was wrenched in sweat till like three pm yesterday.
- 1:41Speaker 1: She was into the sports story sports.
- 1:45Speaker 6: I get on board, Katie.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Did you look her up?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Nico? You're right, but she's also like, you know what said,
- 1:55Speaker 1: a brilliant football mind.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I can never be with that type of person because
- 1:58Speaker 3: it's hard enough being with Nick, who loves football so much.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Then it would be non stop yeah oh right, yeah,
- 2:04Speaker 6: absolutely no.
- 2:05Speaker 3: She gets to hang out with all the big hot
- 2:07Speaker 3: football dudes all day, so she's incliminating.
- 2:12Speaker 6: No thanks, you know.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Speaking of Nicknack, she was messaging me this morning because
- 2:16Speaker 3: you know, we've gotten rid of all.
- 2:17Speaker 6: Of our streaming services basically that we can watch football on.
- 2:22Speaker 3: So she's like, what are we going to do because
- 2:24Speaker 3: seasons firing up here.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I have no idea how she's thinking we just go
- 2:31Speaker 3: get old school like digital antenna.
- 2:33Speaker 6: Maybe, well you.
- 2:34Speaker 5: You could for at least Broncos.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Thursday nights are on Amazon Prime, so we still have
- 2:38Speaker 3: a Prime I do have that.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Do you have cable for ESPN when the games are
- 2:41Speaker 1: on ESPN?
- 2:44Speaker 5: But that's first game?
- 2:45Speaker 6: And what's Monday Night football on ESPN? But I don't
- 2:49Speaker 6: have ESPN?
- 2:49Speaker 1: But aren't they usually on.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Like ABC as well?
- 2:52Speaker 5: That's ESPN plus.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Yeah, Monday nights usually on the NFL is.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Putting games on everything, and some.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Of them are on Peacock I'm seeing now some bawls are.
- 3:04Speaker 3: On pat though right, No, no, it's not ESPN's not free.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Have you seeing somebody's peacock acts?
- 3:10Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:11Speaker 1: Probably?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Yeah, And like we have no local channels right now.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Really like YouTube TV be the time I blew out
- 3:19Speaker 3: YouTube TV because it was so expensive. I'm not paying
- 3:21Speaker 3: ninety dollars an out there we were watching? Yeah, but
- 3:24Speaker 3: is that going to get me all the games?
- 3:25Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Do I need an NFL expert to call in or
- 3:29Speaker 6: text me?
- 3:29Speaker 3: How do I get all the NFL games at least
- 3:32Speaker 3: all the Bronco games. Yeah, I need all the Bronco
- 3:34Speaker 3: games this season. Three oh three, six, nine one six.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Kay Adams, if you're listening, call in and let us
- 3:41Speaker 3: know sports with jkj Okay.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 3:45Speaker 6: I'm going back to this because I am gessed.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It is so difficult and so confusing to figure out
- 3:51Speaker 3: how you can watch the Broncos games. Uh this upcoming
- 3:55Speaker 3: season on what streaming service? Do I need an antenna?
- 3:59Speaker 1: Uh?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Tyler wrote in and said you can get the games
- 4:02Speaker 3: on Fox, NBC, and ABC with an antenna, but not
- 4:06Speaker 3: all Monday games are.
- 4:07Speaker 6: Also broadcast by ABC.
- 4:09Speaker 3: The international games are the NFL network only. Plus there's
- 4:13Speaker 3: Amazon exclusive exclusive games. What happened to the days where
- 4:17Speaker 3: I just flipped on Channel four and I could watch
- 4:19Speaker 3: every Broncos game?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's too much. It's not like that anymore.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Now you need special apps to watch special games. Maybe
- 4:27Speaker 3: you need an antenna. Does the intenna look good on
- 4:30Speaker 3: my eighty six inch TV? Or is it gonna be
- 4:32Speaker 3: all grainy?
- 4:33Speaker 1: We did this to ourselves. I hate this, I know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but we asked for all of it, and I don't
- 4:37Speaker 1: even care TV channels remember when we all were like,
- 4:40Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great if I just paid for the
- 4:42Speaker 1: TV channels I watched?
- 4:43Speaker 6: You're right, that's what Now it's a nightmare, it really is.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I mean, I guess I got Prime, So I what
- 4:49Speaker 3: night are the Prime games on Thursdays?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Thursday night?
- 4:52Speaker 6: So we can watch it on Prime if they're playing
- 4:54Speaker 6: Thursday Night?
- 4:55Speaker 5: And that's only like once a year.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I only get one Prime game a year.
- 4:59Speaker 6: So and the other ones. I guess I'll need an antenna.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Ye.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Do we get ESPN when you have Disney Plus?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yes, it's part of that. Yeah, you can.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Maybe I can watch a bundle.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if I have the bundle if
- 5:10Speaker 3: I don't want to bundle us.
- 5:12Speaker 1: No, yeah, it's too hard Broncos. No, No, this isn't.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Even for me. I'm trying to make my wife happen, and.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It's one game a week. That's the thing is we
- 5:28Speaker 1: try so hard, like in all of our teams. It's
- 5:31Speaker 1: just like, no, what if I buy hard to watch
- 5:33Speaker 1: the NFL app?
- 5:35Speaker 3: Isn't there an NFL app? Can I watch all the
- 5:37Speaker 3: games on that zone?
- 5:39Speaker 1: Like you can get red Zone and that'll show you
- 5:40Speaker 1: all the games like in the real time, Like, oh,
- 5:43Speaker 1: that shows you the highlights, Like you can watch all
- 5:45Speaker 1: the games at the same time as what I mean,
- 5:47Speaker 1: so you can like go in between games for a
- 5:49Speaker 1: red zone. But I mean that's not like that's for
- 5:52Speaker 1: fantasy football. I feel and like people who bet because
- 5:55Speaker 1: like that's not for a local like if you want
- 5:57Speaker 1: to watch your team.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Okay, so it's not it.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yes, there is an official NFL app that provides free
- 6:02Speaker 3: access to the latest news, score stats, and highlights, plus.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Options to stream games.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Oh now I got to give an NFL Plus that's subscription. Okay,
- 6:10Speaker 3: hold on, if I get the NFL Plus subscription, shouldn't
- 6:14Speaker 3: I be able to watch just every game via that?
- 6:17Speaker 7: That is?
- 6:17Speaker 1: That?
- 6:18Speaker 5: Does it say?
- 6:19Speaker 6: Well, that's the thing.
- 6:20Speaker 3: You can stream live local and primetime games on mobile
- 6:23Speaker 3: devices with an NFL network.
- 6:27Speaker 6: With a subscription.
- 6:28Speaker 5: Sometimes they get blacked out.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Well, then what do I do?
- 6:31Speaker 5: You have to go to your local which means back
- 6:33Speaker 5: to the antenna exactly.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I don't want to buy an Intenda And will that
- 6:37Speaker 3: look good on an eighty six inch TV?
- 6:41Speaker 1: It's going to be a bunch of pixely little.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Dudes running around and we're not going to even enjoy it.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I know, I hate football.
- 6:51Speaker 5: What are you googling?
- 6:53Speaker 6: Is so horrible?
- 6:54Speaker 4: Can look discrete and blend in? Well, no, like I'm
- 6:59Speaker 4: seeing the picture. It says it's possible. It's possible.
- 7:03Speaker 6: See, I went too big.
- 7:04Speaker 3: On the TV goodness, so I need to go buy
- 7:06Speaker 3: a smaller TV.
- 7:07Speaker 5: So I hate this.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I know.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Again. Somebody wrote in and said YouTube TV is the
- 7:11Speaker 6: best way to go.
- 7:12Speaker 3: For NFL games. But here's the problem. I canceled that
- 7:14Speaker 3: because it's ninety bucks a month.
- 7:15Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 7:16Speaker 3: But I guess to make things incredibly simple, I could
- 7:21Speaker 3: just do YouTube for the next few months until February
- 7:25Speaker 3: and then cut it off again.
- 7:26Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, but it's not worth That's ninety bucks
- 7:28Speaker 4: a month for just the Broncos. You're not gonna I
- 7:30Speaker 4: don't want to do that the Dolphins or the you know,
- 7:33Speaker 4: the Ravens.
- 7:36Speaker 6: And then there's this lady who keeps texting in.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I'm not gonna mention her name, but she wants me
- 7:41Speaker 3: to hack a fire stick.
- 7:44Speaker 6: She's like, my husband can come over and hack your
- 7:46Speaker 6: fire I'm.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Not joking about the fire stick.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Keep your hands off my fire stick, man, leave my firestick.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Go on.
- 7:54Speaker 6: For God's sake, there you go. There's your Mix one
- 7:58Speaker 6: hundred Sports.
- 8:00Speaker 1: We've got receipts, We've got drums, we've got Denver talking.
- 8:05Speaker 1: It's the mile high Height with the JKJ legends and
- 8:09Speaker 1: icon on Mixed one hundred.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Well, the Department of Transportation, they've done a little something something.
- 8:16Speaker 6: They've done a solid for a bunch of video game nerds.
- 8:19Speaker 6: They've hired more than two thousand video gamers as air
- 8:23Speaker 6: traffic controllers, reaching ninety four percent of its hiring goal.
- 8:28Speaker 6: It's the most ever in a single year.
- 8:31Speaker 3: They launched the recruitment campaign in April, targeting young adults
- 8:36Speaker 3: with gaming skills. It's transferable to aviation, including multitasking, problem solving,
- 8:43Speaker 3: and high cognitive function.
- 8:44Speaker 1: This is perfect for gamers. So this is what they do.
- 8:49Speaker 1: They talk things out while they're.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Doing close to someone very close to someone who flies
- 8:56Speaker 4: planes a lot, and G says that ATC air traffic
- 8:58Speaker 4: control is heavily short staffed and looking.
- 9:02Speaker 3: You've got the hatch ATC on the x y C,
- 9:06Speaker 3: the FAA.
- 9:07Speaker 5: We talked about it so much, we had a short.
- 9:09Speaker 3: The only thing I'm worried about is like gamers are
- 9:12Speaker 3: used to like respawning and having unlimited lives, and I'm like.
- 9:16Speaker 6: This is real life here.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah, like you've got to get it right one hundred
- 9:20Speaker 3: percent of the time. Yeah, you know, there's no going
- 9:23Speaker 3: back fall into a lava pit.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Mom's not going to bring you pizza rolls. I don't
- 9:28Speaker 1: know that you can still be a thing.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool. They said that they're
- 9:34Speaker 3: building the strongest sharpest workforce in.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Aviation history, so really smart. That's pretty solid.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Can I control my Xbox controller? That is my only question?
- 9:46Speaker 6: And you have a fully shocked freege of mountain do?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Okay?
- 9:50Speaker 3: So Taylor Farms is now recalling over a dozen different
- 9:55Speaker 3: products linked to the poopy diarrhea lettu.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Now, I mean we've.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Talked about how they've expanded to halapanos, but now they're
- 10:04Speaker 3: expanding to even more things that might include lettuce or
- 10:09Speaker 3: julapinos or peppers or whatever that they're producing, like sauces
- 10:13Speaker 3: and guacamole's that could potentially have all this stuff in there.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I don't think it's hit the avocados yet, but part
- 10:22Speaker 3: of the problem is, well it's in there guacamole. They're
- 10:25Speaker 3: they're mixing in like the Jolly pannos, So that's what
- 10:30Speaker 3: they're worried about, and they're recalling them from stores like
- 10:33Speaker 3: Target and Walmart.
- 10:34Speaker 6: Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Kroger.
- 10:37Speaker 3: So essentially, right now, check your products and if you
- 10:39Speaker 3: have anything Taylor Farms, you probably should probably should just
- 10:43Speaker 3: try to go back in for a refund or just.
- 10:45Speaker 5: Let it go.
- 10:46Speaker 3: You know that we got a number two.
- 10:51Speaker 5: We got a number.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Two, Okay, so this is very local. Denver Water has
- 10:57Speaker 3: moved beyond warnings and they are out officially in the
- 11:01Speaker 3: enforcement phase of their drought restrictions. They say customers are
- 11:06Speaker 3: remained are remaining limited.
- 11:08Speaker 6: To just two days a week right now, and.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Those voluntary compliance restrictions haven't generated enough conservation. So last
- 11:17Speaker 3: week they got out in their little water vans probably
- 11:21Speaker 3: and on their e letters and they're starting to send
- 11:23Speaker 3: out the fines to the people who are not obeying
- 11:26Speaker 3: by the water authoritized.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I heard it starts at like two hundred and fifty
- 11:30Speaker 1: bucks too, so they're not.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Pre Yeah, it's gonna sting. They say, we've got to
- 11:35Speaker 3: conserve as much as we can right now. We're thinking
- 11:38Speaker 3: about twenty twenty seven at this point, we don't know
- 11:40Speaker 3: what the snowpack's gonna look like this winter, so the
- 11:44Speaker 3: goal is to just reduce at least twenty percent of
- 11:47Speaker 3: the water usage.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Righton, listen, I am not judging your grass right now.
- 11:52Speaker 1: In fact, if I go out there and I see
- 11:54Speaker 1: lush green fields in your yard, I'm judging that. I'm like,
- 11:58Speaker 1: mine's pretty.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Looks pretty good. It's not okay, but I'll I follow
- 12:04Speaker 6: the rules.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I am two days a week, hand of God, I'm
- 12:07Speaker 3: two days a week. But I have put so much
- 12:09Speaker 3: revive in different water saving fertilizers down on my lawn.
- 12:13Speaker 6: It's working, okay, you know, so much.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So the little old.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Lady that lives next door to me is constantly messaging us,
- 12:19Speaker 3: why are you doing with your lawns?
- 12:20Speaker 8: Well, yeah, looks like Satan hit it. It looks like
- 12:25Speaker 8: the gates of hell opened up on the front lawns.
- 12:28Speaker 8: I've been praying to the Rosary that my grass kissed green.
- 12:31Speaker 1: That little old lady's intense.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I've been shrinkling the holy waters.
- 12:35Speaker 1: On the lawn.
- 12:36Speaker 3: What do you got to where they revived? It's like
- 12:41Speaker 3: I've been praying to the revived gods. So anyway, usually
- 12:45Speaker 3: revived people.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so this thing in Alt that happened,
- 12:50Speaker 1: did you hear about the Fall Festival and it's already
- 12:54Speaker 1: the Fall Festival. But yeah, the microburse, the micro microburse
- 12:59Speaker 1: that caused the ball house to fly high an Alt
- 13:02Speaker 1: and this bounce house slammed straight into a jam tent.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Not the jam dans and jellies like that kind of stuff,
- 13:10Speaker 1: preserved fruit everywhere, guys. Johanna Emery, she's the vendor and
- 13:16Speaker 1: the owner of this homemade jam fruit tent thingy. But
- 13:19Speaker 1: and she's okay, she did get some you know, bruisine
- 13:23Speaker 1: and concrete smashed into her chest, which she was you know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: well from her tent, because you know how they.
- 13:29Speaker 6: Have like the stuff.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it was that sounds horrible smashed into her chest.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I mean, if you see the pictures of this festival,
- 13:37Speaker 1: the tents are demolished.
- 13:38Speaker 9: Like.
- 13:41Speaker 6: It'll take you out.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 13:43Speaker 6: And so I got to ask you, though, is was
- 13:45Speaker 6: there anybody in the bounce house?
- 13:46Speaker 1: No, no, no, I was just going to say that we're
- 13:49Speaker 1: so happy.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I have a weird, uh fantasy of being in a
- 13:53Speaker 3: bounce house. Well maybe you could do that, but I
- 13:56Speaker 3: don't want the children. Let me let me rephrase all that.
- 14:01Speaker 3: I don't want any children and they're getting hurt. Don't
- 14:04Speaker 3: email me today. I, as an adults, would like to
- 14:08Speaker 3: be in there when a microburst hits and go wheah.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I think it would be a bless I'm not gonna
- 14:12Speaker 1: lie fun.
- 14:14Speaker 3: You're like Dorothy the Wizard of Oz the house up
- 14:17Speaker 3: in the Tornado, except a bill bounce house shaped like
- 14:20Speaker 3: a castle.
- 14:21Speaker 4: You know that's just air flow going into it. The
- 14:23Speaker 4: second you get swooped up, you're flat in there. This
- 14:27Speaker 4: guy over here, Bill Nye over here, I want to bounce.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Around in there still. I know the bouncing part might
- 14:33Speaker 1: be a.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Little physics I want.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I wanted some toasts and some of that lady's jam
- 14:37Speaker 3: while I'm up in there.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Maybe weird Bill Nye over here, we're the product of
- 14:41Speaker 1: the trampoline where one of us would jump on one
- 14:43Speaker 1: side and send the other flying bounce. So that's why
- 14:45Speaker 1: you think this is fun.
- 14:47Speaker 6: I want to get way up in the sky and
- 14:48Speaker 6: a bounce house.
- 14:49Speaker 1: But have you microburst and Colorado are something else. I've
- 14:54Speaker 1: never seen anything like it. I mean the way that
- 14:56Speaker 1: they just take things up and smash.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Them generally what they do.
- 15:00Speaker 1: I have seen them so many times in different areas
- 15:04Speaker 1: of Colorado, no place else, no place micro experts. I'm
- 15:09Speaker 1: from the state of tornadoes, like North Dakota has so
- 15:12Speaker 1: many tornadoes because it's so flat, and I am. I
- 15:15Speaker 1: saw a KFC sign go up and down.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I feel like you're making that up. I did, Colonel Sanders.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I swear to goodness. But the microverse around here are
- 15:25Speaker 1: on another level. So again, thankfully, everybody's okay. No kiddos
- 15:29Speaker 1: were heard aside from the bruises. Oh, she lost five
- 15:34Speaker 1: hundred dollars, which to a small business is that's a
- 15:36Speaker 1: lot of money. That's a lot of money. So if
- 15:38Speaker 1: you see Johanna and her homemade jams out at other.
- 15:41Speaker 6: Fights by two jars of jam, make up for.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It because she went through it.
- 15:45Speaker 6: My goodness, is her the name of her business. That's
- 15:48Speaker 6: my jam.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Oh it needs to be jamming out something something that
- 15:55Speaker 1: is pretty good.
- 15:55Speaker 6: That's my jam.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You want it with that? Absolutely, Okay. So we need
- 15:59Speaker 1: to talk about this because I when you're on I
- 16:02Speaker 1: twenty five or any of the interstates, any of the
- 16:04Speaker 1: roads whatever, and you're driving and all of a sudden,
- 16:06Speaker 1: a motorcycle comes out of nowhere, it splits right in
- 16:10Speaker 1: between you, and oh my goodness, because that's the thing.
- 16:14Speaker 1: When they're on motorcycles. The only way that that's legal
- 16:17Speaker 1: is if traffic is stopped yep, and then they still
- 16:20Speaker 1: it through. Well, one person on a motorcycle, they learned
- 16:24Speaker 1: the hard way they were driving. I think it was
- 16:26Speaker 1: on eighty eighth Avenue, but they drove betoon between two
- 16:30Speaker 1: Colorado State Patrol Media no marked CSB, completely illegal. It
- 16:39Speaker 1: was all caught on camera because then wait, there's more.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Immediately after this motorcycle crashes into a car in front
- 16:47Speaker 1: of them. Oh my goodness. Obviously they came out and
- 16:54Speaker 1: had to talk about it a CSP.
- 16:56Speaker 5: No.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I just think that they didn't realize that they were
- 16:59Speaker 1: doing this to two I think that they just saw
- 17:01Speaker 1: two cars threw them off. It was one of those
- 17:04Speaker 1: things where they didn't even know what they were doing,
- 17:06Speaker 1: but they did have a CSP spokesperson come out and
- 17:10Speaker 1: talk about This is a perfect example of a legal
- 17:13Speaker 1: lane splitting, not the legalized lane filtering, which is what
- 17:17Speaker 1: we just talked about with the vehicles are stuck.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Makes me jump every time, and they come flying up
- 17:21Speaker 3: every time. I never is going to take off a mirror.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I don't. And then do you also like screwed over
- 17:26Speaker 1: to the left or like to get away from them?
- 17:29Speaker 3: Like for no, no, if anything I try, sometimes I
- 17:33Speaker 3: want up my door.
- 17:34Speaker 1: No no, no no, to be safe. No, I always
- 17:39Speaker 1: get even farther away from them. I don't want anybody
- 17:41Speaker 1: to hurt you. And then I may even follow them
- 17:44Speaker 1: just so everyone stays away from them, like I want
- 17:46Speaker 1: to keep them safe. So I'm like, I'm such a mom.
- 17:50Speaker 1: That is such a mom. You don't like that, Okay,
- 17:53Speaker 1: not like that, okay, but anyway, don't do that. Don't
- 17:57Speaker 1: do that. And thankfully everyone's okay in that ample as well.
- 18:00Speaker 1: But my goodness, all right, and then we're gonna close
- 18:02Speaker 1: it out today.
- 18:03Speaker 6: Oh god, there's more.
- 18:04Speaker 1: He says, You're gonna love this. You're gonna love this.
- 18:06Speaker 1: A Lakewood priest who rides his scooter to church and
- 18:08Speaker 1: post inspirational quotes on Facebook, like your grandma, what is
- 18:14Speaker 1: his name is? Father? We told Kadzie Martin what good
- 18:22Speaker 1: He's been going with church for six months. He's from
- 18:26Speaker 1: Poland and he's got jokes. Do we have those jokes?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Did you pull audio? I know I didn't. He just
- 18:34Speaker 1: said I've got jokes. So then, well.
- 18:40Speaker 6: Have we done now? Jaredy, Katy and Josh Max one hundred,
- 18:46Speaker 6: I guess.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Thoughts and prayers this morning. Thoughts and prayers to Katie's
- 18:50Speaker 3: one eyed mother, Oh, who has become quite the character
- 18:54Speaker 3: on this show.
- 18:57Speaker 1: She doesn't like that.
- 18:58Speaker 6: She doesn't like it, but I mean she's she's got
- 19:00Speaker 6: one eye.
- 19:00Speaker 3: That's how we've all come to love her and adore
- 19:03Speaker 3: her because she's got one eye.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Come on you, but yes, we'll make sure you need.
- 19:09Speaker 1: You went through it this weekend. Jeremy, Well, how happened?
- 19:12Speaker 1: So my mom loves to camp and she's such an
- 19:15Speaker 1: active person. I worry about her sometimes with all the
- 19:18Speaker 1: activity that she does. But she loves to camp. She
- 19:21Speaker 1: goes camping with her friends a lot in the summer.
- 19:23Speaker 1: And so she was out camping and at like eleven
- 19:27Speaker 1: o'clock at night, went to go use the porta potty
- 19:30Speaker 1: essentially right, yeah, Like it's an actual little bathroom though
- 19:34Speaker 1: that you walk into and there's a toilet and stuff,
- 19:36Speaker 1: so it's not just a little it is, like yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: but so she walks in there immediately slips, falls, cracks
- 19:45Speaker 1: her head on the concrete toilet, and then so she
- 19:48Speaker 1: doesn't hurt the back of her head, she puts her
- 19:51Speaker 1: hand behind her head so it doesn't crack off the floor.
- 19:54Speaker 1: She broke a wrist, did she really? My mom is
- 19:57Speaker 1: a barber. Yeah, and she just broke her left wrist
- 20:01Speaker 1: in March.
- 20:02Speaker 6: How does she do that?
- 20:02Speaker 1: She again fell and so she just broke her left
- 20:06Speaker 1: wrist in March and that was just slowly healing again.
- 20:10Speaker 1: She cuts hair for a living.
- 20:11Speaker 6: This is bad news.
- 20:12Speaker 1: She had to take time off when the left wrist broke.
- 20:15Speaker 1: It was just finally becoming better. And then she breaks
- 20:19Speaker 1: her right wrist. Her dominance, so she's going to be
- 20:23Speaker 1: out of work for a couple months. Now.
- 20:24Speaker 6: She has somebody that can help her cut hair.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Brother has to take care of her. You're going to
- 20:28Speaker 1: start cutting hair, cut hair. No, she's gonna lose out
- 20:31Speaker 1: on some money. We're kind of concerned about my mom
- 20:34Speaker 1: right now in that regard. But thankfully my brother's gonna
- 20:36Speaker 1: be there to help take care of certain things that
- 20:39Speaker 1: because here's the thing, I didn't realize this. My mom's like, yeah,
- 20:42Speaker 1: my friend Holly's gonna come over and help me put
- 20:44Speaker 1: my bra on on tonight Holiday friendly. She's going to
- 20:47Speaker 1: come back on Tuesday and help me put it on again.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And I was like, wait, you're just going to keep
- 20:52Speaker 1: your bra and that whole time. Moms like I kind
- 20:55Speaker 1: of have to when this happens, you can't. But even
- 20:58Speaker 1: that you can't, there's so many things that she her
- 21:01Speaker 1: left wrist is barely better. Yeah, but here's the thing.
- 21:05Speaker 1: She was of all the things. She's like, I can't cook,
- 21:08Speaker 1: you know, like they're having to like eat a lot
- 21:11Speaker 1: of things that are already prepared, which my mom hates.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Like she's just like all of these things. She can't reach,
- 21:17Speaker 1: things like because she.
- 21:19Speaker 6: Stretch, there's so much she can't button your pants.
- 21:22Speaker 1: She can't button her pants.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Did you think about restaurants?
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's so funny because this did come up where she
- 21:30Speaker 1: was like, I can wipe my own butt. Okay, she's
- 21:33Speaker 1: got that going on, said thank god, and then audibly
- 21:36Speaker 1: in the background, I heard.
- 21:38Speaker 6: My brother, what are you do in that situation? You
- 21:42Speaker 6: don't help mom out?
- 21:43Speaker 1: I guess he's the one taking care of her. And
- 21:44Speaker 1: I'm just so grateful I have the best brother on
- 21:47Speaker 1: the planet. And it's in cases like this that we
- 21:50Speaker 1: really see it. I mean, Bubba, he's the best. There's
- 21:53Speaker 1: no bad as Bubba.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Are you guys starting to have some hard conversations about
- 21:57Speaker 3: your mom?
- 21:57Speaker 1: This was such an eye open because I am just like,
- 22:02Speaker 1: what do you mean you fell again? Get it? Like again,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I know again.
- 22:06Speaker 6: It's time to have some conversation.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I have never, ever, ever worried about my mom because
- 22:10Speaker 1: she's the healthiest person in the family. Like she's the
- 22:14Speaker 1: oldest of all of her siblings, and she's in the
- 22:16Speaker 1: best shape of everybody. Like my mom works out every day.
- 22:19Speaker 1: She you know, drinks fiber shakes for breakfast. My mom
- 22:23Speaker 1: is known, thank god, my brother said that. My brother said,
- 22:30Speaker 1: my mom is known for saying the skin of the
- 22:33Speaker 1: apple that that's a treat when she eats the or
- 22:36Speaker 1: she only eats the skin of the apple, and then
- 22:38Speaker 1: when she eats the actual fruit, that's a treat for
- 22:40Speaker 1: her because that's the extra sugar. Like, my mom's like that.
- 22:44Speaker 1: She's so healthy. So I've never worried about her in
- 22:47Speaker 1: the sense of she's going to be she's gonna be okay,
- 22:51Speaker 1: it's gonna be fine. It's her wrist, So I like,
- 22:54Speaker 1: you know, but when you start getting older. You know
- 22:56Speaker 1: your bones like.
- 22:57Speaker 6: It takes longer to hear. You're definitely more fragile. She's
- 23:02Speaker 6: gonna bruise like crazy.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah they here.
- 23:05Speaker 6: She's gonna look bad.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Her face is all busted up.
- 23:08Speaker 5: My look so bad.
- 23:09Speaker 1: My brother said. She came home. This happened Friday night.
- 23:12Speaker 1: She's still camped with all of her friends until Sunday.
- 23:16Speaker 6: She's just hardy North Dakota chick though too.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You want to quote rude the vibe, you need to
- 23:22Speaker 1: go to the hospital. Her whole face is covered in
- 23:25Speaker 1: bruises and.
- 23:27Speaker 6: If she broke her no, she went with her face.
- 23:30Speaker 1: She went to the doctor. She got the whole concussion protocol.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But like she walked in the door, didn't even call
- 23:36Speaker 1: my brother And so she walks in the door and
- 23:39Speaker 1: he's like, what happened to you? You fause?
- 23:44Speaker 5: No big deal?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Life goes on.
- 23:47Speaker 6: She's a hardy North Dakota is she's.
- 23:49Speaker 1: As hearty as all get out. Yeah, yeah, she she
- 23:54Speaker 1: sure will. But it is you're right, It kind of
- 23:56Speaker 1: just like what you probably should start.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Is it just your brother?
- 24:00Speaker 8: Do you have?
- 24:00Speaker 6: You have your sister? You have the more successful.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Sister four of us. Okay, and why are you?
- 24:07Speaker 3: Yeah, she's super successful, So you guys should probably sit
- 24:11Speaker 3: down and have a conversation about what he did too.
- 24:14Speaker 6: What's going on with your mom?
- 24:15Speaker 3: And like if you're gonna have to ship her out here,
- 24:17Speaker 3: she might have to live with you, I know, because
- 24:20Speaker 3: you're you got nothing else.
- 24:22Speaker 6: You're single, like you can your other Your other siblings
- 24:26Speaker 6: are really busy and they have families.
- 24:28Speaker 1: And he need a pretty picture for me, aren't you.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Yeah, you might have to adopt your mother and have
- 24:33Speaker 6: her at the house.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Why wouldn't you?
- 24:35Speaker 6: You could bring her in on a daily basis. You
- 24:37Speaker 6: can like look at her fake eye and stuff. It'll
- 24:39Speaker 6: be awesome.
- 24:39Speaker 1: At least she wipes her own But quick question, did.
- 24:43Speaker 6: When she fell?
- 24:44Speaker 5: Did the ipop out?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Stop it? Jeremy? Why is that your question? You feel
- 24:48Speaker 1: like if you hit hard that I forest doing fine
- 24:53Speaker 1: in the forest somewhere.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Oh, ladies, ladies, ladies, I have a question for you, Katie.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I think you're a lady right hey, Yeah, Well, Jeremy,
- 25:06Speaker 3: she does a lot of scratching and bourpen and fartment spitting.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Bit shut up, ladies, At what age do you all
- 25:14Speaker 3: morph into crazy plant?
- 25:16Speaker 1: Ladies?
- 25:17Speaker 9: Oh?
- 25:18Speaker 6: What age is that because I think Nick Knack is
- 25:20Speaker 6: is there is that happening. It's happening in my house.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Over time I turn around, there's another plant popping up
- 25:29Speaker 3: in the house.
- 25:30Speaker 1: How many little gnats we got flying around our life?
- 25:33Speaker 1: That's the thing is they bring the bugs. You got it?
- 25:36Speaker 6: Yeah, you can't overwater the you can't underwater them. There's
- 25:40Speaker 6: all sorts of rules.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I joke, my house is not disgusting like that, but
- 25:44Speaker 3: every now and then there's like a gnat flying them around,
- 25:46Speaker 3: and I'm like, money place, that's.
- 25:49Speaker 1: What it is.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I went upstairs last night and in the master bathroom
- 25:56Speaker 3: there's a ledge and there's like a four foot Paul
- 26:00Speaker 3: plants out of nowhere on this lunch and I'm.
- 26:03Speaker 6: Like, where the hell did this come from?
- 26:06Speaker 1: And I'm sure it scared you at first you thought
- 26:07Speaker 1: it was a Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 6: I was like yeah, And I went over and like
- 26:11Speaker 6: squeezed and looked. I was like, no, this is it's
- 26:13Speaker 6: another plant in the house.
- 26:15Speaker 3: And uh, I was like no, cool Nick Knack, And
- 26:19Speaker 3: she said, well, it's a rescue it's her rescue plant.
- 26:21Speaker 1: The rescue plants.
- 26:22Speaker 6: It's a rescue plant.
- 26:23Speaker 3: She was in Sam's Club and all these plants were
- 26:26Speaker 3: on clearance for ten dollars and they were shoved a
- 26:29Speaker 3: way in the back in the dark, and they weren't
- 26:32Speaker 3: getting sold.
- 26:32Speaker 6: So she said she had to rescue it. It was
- 26:34Speaker 6: her rescue plant.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Sounds like baby Nana has eighty seven plants. Oh my god.
- 26:41Speaker 1: That's in her room and then out in like the
- 26:44Speaker 1: laundry room area, because she has the basement where she lives.
- 26:46Speaker 1: So in just the basement, do you walk around? Baby
- 26:49Speaker 1: Nana has eighty seven plants within.
- 26:52Speaker 6: That little It's too much maintenance and watery, but she
- 26:55Speaker 6: loves it.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Like once a week she does her plants like she
- 26:58Speaker 1: waters and takes care of her plant. And she tries
- 27:01Speaker 1: to give me rescue plants.
- 27:03Speaker 6: And I'm like, you know that you'll kill it.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Well, tragic death for that.
- 27:07Speaker 5: You're really busy.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I killed an airplant once, like, yeah, you just killed
- 27:11Speaker 1: the succulent accidentally, so easy, I care?
- 27:15Speaker 3: Does she not like all these plants get along? Because
- 27:18Speaker 3: can you put like certain species of plants with other species?
- 27:21Speaker 3: Do they fight or they do they release chemicals and
- 27:23Speaker 3: try to kill each other?
- 27:24Speaker 1: When I understand all plants get along, So really it's
- 27:28Speaker 1: all this one inclusive plant community.
- 27:30Speaker 6: So she's starting early because she's young. She's a za, right.
- 27:34Speaker 1: This is one of those little grandma habits, that little
- 27:36Speaker 1: gen z or student, you know, starting really after she's
- 27:39Speaker 1: done taking care of her plant.
- 27:40Speaker 6: She waituntil she's My wife says she's going to be
- 27:45Speaker 6: living in a greenhouse.
- 27:47Speaker 1: She's gonna morph.
- 27:48Speaker 3: So gave a shout out to our teachers and students
- 27:51Speaker 3: a little bit ago from Adam's twelve school District and
- 27:54Speaker 3: Littleton Public schools all going back to school today, hopping
- 27:59Speaker 3: on those bus, hanging out in the carpool lanes, wondering
- 28:03Speaker 3: if they're going to have pigs in a blanket for lunch.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Congratulations to all the kiddo's heading back. Andrea also wrote
- 28:09Speaker 3: in and said, give a shout out to the Jeff
- 28:11Speaker 3: Goo teachers because they're headed back in today to get
- 28:14Speaker 3: some things done, get those bullets and boards in order.
- 28:17Speaker 3: So shout out to our teachers and Jeff Co heading
- 28:20Speaker 3: back today. We appreciate you guys so darn much. Katie
- 28:23Speaker 3: had a story the other day about the hardest grade
- 28:26Speaker 3: that you'll ever attend in school.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so if you have a kiddo that's getting ready
- 28:31Speaker 1: to go back into third grade, maybe you can give
- 28:36Speaker 1: that's the hardest one, Yeah, a little extra attention. And
- 28:39Speaker 1: here's why they break it down pretty easily. They talk
- 28:42Speaker 1: about how third grade can bring big emotions because kids
- 28:46Speaker 1: are growing socially, but they're still still trill trying to
- 28:50Speaker 1: learn how to manage their feelings, so they're out there
- 28:54Speaker 1: well exactly, say, here's the thing is a lot with
- 28:57Speaker 1: third graders. You may seem them overconfident at one point
- 29:00Speaker 1: because they're trying to overcompensate for not knowing how to
- 29:04Speaker 1: do things right, but over overwhelmed the next. So it's
- 29:08Speaker 1: it's really hard. That grade is really hard, really overwhelming.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Kind of navigate, I think it is. I agree that
- 29:14Speaker 1: we've got a third learning long division. Well, no, it's
- 29:17Speaker 1: like the fact that they have to learn how to
- 29:19Speaker 1: be a little human, but they're still trying to figure
- 29:21Speaker 1: out how to do it, like there's no textbooks, I know.
- 29:27Speaker 1: But then they're also learning how to become friends with people,
- 29:30Speaker 1: how to develop their own personality. There's a lot that
- 29:33Speaker 1: happens into things.
- 29:33Speaker 6: I didn't realize that third grade I love.
- 29:35Speaker 1: It's very vivid in my brain, like it's my favorite teacher.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Mister Thompson. He was the teacher who called me Katie.
- 29:43Speaker 1: All the other teachers called me by my real government name, Katrina.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Made me seem like I was in trouble. But he
- 29:48Speaker 1: was like, what do you want to be called? And
- 29:49Speaker 1: I was like, well Katie and He's like okay, And
- 29:51Speaker 1: from then on, Katie shit shot. I felt seen thanks
- 29:57Speaker 1: to mister Thompson. And so I think that if more
- 30:01Speaker 1: people realize that about third grade, like really, you know,
- 30:04Speaker 1: dial in on them in that third grade period of
- 30:06Speaker 1: their lives, because all the kids.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Going into third grade this morning have giant eyes right
- 30:11Speaker 3: now to get into what is happening.
- 30:15Speaker 1: The fun starts now with Fast five.
- 30:17Speaker 7: I'm going to be happy to hear Mom on the radio.
- 30:19Speaker 1: How fast can you be?
- 30:20Speaker 9: Fun to play the game?
- 30:21Speaker 1: You're at the end of the show. It's time. It's
- 30:23Speaker 1: time to play fast five oh three.
- 30:26Speaker 6: Six, sixteen forty nine with Jeremy, Katie and John. It
- 30:31Speaker 6: is definitely time.
- 30:32Speaker 3: And uh, with those schools getting back in session, it's
- 30:35Speaker 3: gonna be a little harder to get in to play
- 30:37Speaker 3: Fast five. So get on it right now, be ready
- 30:39Speaker 3: to call, like right now three oh three six nine
- 30:42Speaker 3: one one mix three oh three six nine one.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Sixteen forty nine, if you'd like to play.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Fast five, which is brought to you by our very
- 30:50Speaker 3: good partners up at Bally's Casino Blackhawk.
- 30:54Speaker 6: They have the best value with five dollars black check
- 30:56Speaker 6: and five dollar menu items daily. Hi, everybody about casino.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Hey, call in, We'll get you on the air, We'll
- 31:04Speaker 3: get to know you a little bit, and then I'll
- 31:06Speaker 3: toss the category at you and start a ten second timer.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Within those ten seconds, you got to give me five
- 31:14Speaker 3: things that have to do with that category. You think
- 31:17Speaker 3: you could can pull it off, and you've never played
- 31:20Speaker 3: before where you'd love to talk to you three O
- 31:23Speaker 3: three six nine one one mix three oh three six
- 31:25Speaker 3: nine one sixteen forty nine, Katie, give us some examples.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Okay, so you've asked for things like name five laptop brands,
- 31:34Speaker 1: another one, five famous mob bosses so all over the place,
- 31:39Speaker 1: and the one that wanted yesterday five restaurants that start
- 31:42Speaker 1: with the letter P. Landon was the big winner. So yeah,

- 45:53Speaker 10: Well do, Jarry, Katie and Josh Mix one hundred.
- 45:58Speaker 3: All right, So I woke up work today at the
- 46:00Speaker 3: butt crack of dawn and pulled out of the driveway
- 46:04Speaker 3: pitch black out. And as I'm backing out, you know,
- 46:08Speaker 3: checking behind me left and right, and I look over
- 46:10Speaker 3: to the right and I'm like, what the frick is
- 46:13Speaker 3: that in the front yard?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Like, what is that?
- 46:17Speaker 6: It's is that trash can?
- 46:20Speaker 3: So I put it in park, got out of my car,
- 46:22Speaker 3: walked over to my front lawn. There's a giant kayak
- 46:27Speaker 3: on my front lawn. Why bright giant kayak laying right
- 46:33Speaker 3: on my lawn?
- 46:34Speaker 5: Do you have this?
- 46:37Speaker 6: I don't have a kayak.
- 46:38Speaker 1: Case, that's not your kayak.
- 46:40Speaker 6: I thought, was there a was it a windstorm last night?
- 46:43Speaker 1: That it was, it was really windy, But did it
- 46:46Speaker 1: bring a kayak? Why is there a kayak on my
- 46:49Speaker 1: front lawn?
- 46:51Speaker 6: Okay, So I didn't know what to do. I'm like, well,
- 46:53Speaker 6: I guess I'm leaving this. I got to get to work.
- 46:55Speaker 3: I'm gonna wake up the neighborhood by trying to drag
- 46:58Speaker 3: this thing around to the side.
- 46:59Speaker 6: Of the house or something.
- 47:00Speaker 8: Him.
- 47:00Speaker 3: But remember a couple weeks ago, I told you how
- 47:03Speaker 3: incredibly proud I am of my son and a handful
- 47:09Speaker 3: of his buddies, because they are true boys, like straight
- 47:13Speaker 3: out of the eighties and nineties, where they go out
- 47:16Speaker 3: on adventures and they gather things and they have fun
- 47:20Speaker 3: and they do activities outside. They're not sitting in side
- 47:24Speaker 3: playing fortnight and hanging on the screens all night. They
- 47:27Speaker 3: had a mattress on some skateboards the one they went around,
- 47:30Speaker 3: and this guy had a bunch of inflatable air mattresses
- 47:34Speaker 3: that he had on the curb for free. So they
- 47:35Speaker 3: blew him all up these giant queen size mattresses, and
- 47:39Speaker 3: they were straight strapping him to skateboards and stuff with
- 47:41Speaker 3: bungee cords and zipping down the streets laying on these mattresses.
- 47:45Speaker 6: And I was like, hell, yeah, this is what boys
- 47:47Speaker 6: are supposed to do.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Fast forward about another week later, they were out finding
- 47:52Speaker 3: more free things.
- 47:53Speaker 6: On the side of the street.
- 47:54Speaker 3: They found an old like refrigerator, which they then proceeded
- 47:58Speaker 3: to lay on its side and build an the car
- 48:00Speaker 3: out of that, so they were all sitting in this
- 48:02Speaker 3: refrigerator has hapen up and down the street they found
- 48:04Speaker 3: old microwaves and a dumpster, so of course they go
- 48:07Speaker 3: and put a bunch of different things in the microwaves
- 48:10Speaker 3: to see, you know, how hot they can get things
- 48:12Speaker 3: if things explode.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Boy.
- 48:15Speaker 3: In fact, coke cans are awesome when you put them
- 48:18Speaker 3: in the microwave for like ten minutes. Kids, don't do this,
- 48:23Speaker 3: they get really hot. They were going and pulling them out.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Of course, they had like all this protective gear on.
- 48:29Speaker 3: They had like a catcher's mask and goggles and you know,
- 48:32Speaker 3: so they would grab these cans and they'd throw them
- 48:34Speaker 3: up in the air and they drop and boom.
- 48:36Speaker 6: They'd blow up.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Pretty neat stuff if you want to try it later
- 48:39Speaker 3: this afternoon, but don't do it care kids, listen. It
- 48:44Speaker 3: led to a conversation with me and my son saying,
- 48:49Speaker 3: be careful, but you need you need your grandpa to
- 48:52Speaker 3: call you, who has seen it all in the fire industry.
- 48:55Speaker 6: I'm like, just stay back from all that. Don't blow
- 48:58Speaker 6: a hand off or anything. Please careful. So everybody who's
- 49:02Speaker 6: angrily texting right now, you're showing to let them do that. Listen.
- 49:05Speaker 3: I've had to talk with him, but they're being boy
- 49:09Speaker 3: there having fun. He's actually he's actually been listening so happy.
- 49:14Speaker 3: So last night, another dumpster situation. They were out searching
- 49:20Speaker 3: the neighborhood. Somebody had a dumpster out in front of
- 49:22Speaker 3: their house, and sure enough, there's a giant blue kayak
- 49:26Speaker 3: sticking out of the dumpster. So they pulled it out
- 49:30Speaker 3: and they attached it to the back of one of
- 49:32Speaker 3: the kids e bikes hopped in it and they were
- 49:35Speaker 3: dragging each other around the neighborhood.
- 49:38Speaker 6: They also went over to this big hill.
- 49:40Speaker 3: There's a big hill in our neighborhood that it's it's
- 49:42Speaker 3: like a sledding hill in the winter, and they all
- 49:46Speaker 3: they were taking turns. They were taking turns sitting in
- 49:49Speaker 3: the kayak and sliding down the hill. Nicole sent me
- 49:53Speaker 3: some videos this morning. The best part, from what I
- 49:57Speaker 3: understand is there was like five of them all hanging out.
- 50:00Speaker 3: So all five of them climbed on top of this
- 50:02Speaker 3: kayak and they were waiting for some guy to come
- 50:05Speaker 3: running by, because it's like on a jogging path too.
- 50:08Speaker 3: A guy came by jogging. They were like, hey, hey, hey,
- 50:10Speaker 3: can you push us all down this hill? So this
- 50:13Speaker 3: dude on the jogging path went over, let all five
- 50:16Speaker 3: of them pile onto.
- 50:17Speaker 6: It, and he shoved them all down the hill. It's
- 50:19Speaker 6: a good guy like that is a goody good guy.
- 50:22Speaker 3: So somehow, at the end of the night, when it
- 50:24Speaker 3: was all said and done, they decided to bring the
- 50:27Speaker 3: kayak back over to my house and dump it in
- 50:30Speaker 3: our front yard. So now I've got this thing that
- 50:32Speaker 3: I don't know what to do with. How long is
- 50:35Speaker 3: he gonna stay here? I guess I'll have to deal
- 50:37Speaker 3: with that when I get home later this afternoon, because I'm.
- 50:40Speaker 6: Gonna make him, like, pull it to that weird kid's house.
- 50:42Speaker 6: He's blowing things up.
- 50:43Speaker 5: It's gonna kill your grass.
- 50:44Speaker 6: But isn't that funny? Like to wake up and have
- 50:47Speaker 6: a kayak in your frainger And you're right, kiddy, like I.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Love this, No, absolutely, And I love that you are
- 50:52Speaker 1: the awesome parent. You're the house that all the kids
- 50:55Speaker 1: talked about, like where do we bring this kayak? What
- 50:58Speaker 1: do we do with it? They came up with your house.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I get together like that means you are the go
- 51:04Speaker 1: that far. That's what I'm coming to the far What
- 51:08Speaker 1: do you mean?
- 51:09Speaker 3: I think the kid's house where they're blowing stuff up
- 51:11Speaker 3: in the microwave, that's probably the cool parents house.
- 51:15Speaker 6: They know better to bring that and put it on
- 51:17Speaker 6: my nice lawn.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Sure there was a kayak, and this morning I think
- 51:21Speaker 1: they panic and they had to dump it.
- 51:25Speaker 6: Yeah, because I think my son would know better, Like.
- 51:29Speaker 1: My dad's not gonna want to visit the house. No, yeah, sir,
- 51:32Speaker 1: there was a kayak this morning and it's still there.
- 51:36Speaker 6: I'm getting my saws all out and I'm cutting.
- 51:39Speaker 3: This thing in half and then half again and then
- 51:43Speaker 3: half again, and I'm gonna try to fit it into
- 51:45Speaker 3: my trash can.
- 51:46Speaker 6: But bottom line, I take it back again.
- 51:49Speaker 3: I can't be mad at this because I love that
- 51:52Speaker 3: all these boys head out every night. They try to
- 51:56Speaker 3: find junk on the side of the road.
- 51:58Speaker 6: They go through.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Dumpsters, and they're having a hell of a time and
- 52:01Speaker 3: they're having fun.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:03Speaker 3: This is like something you'd see in a coming of
- 52:05Speaker 3: age like movie from Disney, you know. Yeah, the kids
- 52:09Speaker 3: are out having fun.
- 52:10Speaker 6: Absolutely, I'm very excited about that. But man, the kayak
- 52:13Speaker 6: that got me a smart and I was like, I
- 52:15Speaker 6: haven't got this.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I really don't.
- 52:18Speaker 3: All right, we got a little moral dilemma for you
- 52:20Speaker 3: guys that we like to read on the air each
- 52:22Speaker 3: and every week comes from our listeners.
- 52:24Speaker 6: We love that because we get all up in your business.
- 52:27Speaker 3: But then we let you guys call in and sound off,
- 52:29Speaker 3: give your thoughts and opinions, so be ready for that.
- 52:32Speaker 1: This is from Janie and Lakewood. Hi, Jamie.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Jamie says, holy crap, dot dot, I heard about Katie's
- 52:40Speaker 3: epic car find situation, and I'm going through the same thing.
- 52:43Speaker 6: Yeah, we talked about Katie's car a couple of days ago.
- 52:46Speaker 6: She's got a sweet car from the nineteen hundreds with
- 52:48Speaker 6: slow miles, So she did you name it? Cookie?
- 52:53Speaker 1: I named a cookie off there. For a second, I
- 52:58Speaker 1: thought you were.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Like hungry for a second, Katie, we're doing a show. Here,
- 53:02Speaker 3: go get your chips away on your own time.
- 53:05Speaker 6: Okay, what the hell is that?
- 53:09Speaker 1: Now?
- 53:09Speaker 6: Josh is joining us? Okay, So Jamie.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Says, long story short. A friend did me a solid,
- 53:16Speaker 3: sold me a car they were getting rid of. Gave
- 53:17Speaker 3: me a great deal too, about one thousand dollars under.
- 53:21Speaker 6: Kelly Blue Book.
- 53:22Speaker 3: So I took it to my mechanic for a once over,
- 53:25Speaker 3: expecting the usual yep, it's the car it runs. Instead,
- 53:28Speaker 3: he basically dropped a bomb on me. He said, this
- 53:33Speaker 3: car is a fine.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Oh.
- 53:35Speaker 6: Apparently collectors of this particular model will pay ten times
- 53:39Speaker 6: what I paid for it ten times.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Naturally, I did what any responsible adult would do.
- 53:45Speaker 3: I immediately googled the heck out of it, and my
- 53:48Speaker 3: mechanic was right.
- 53:51Speaker 6: I could literally sell this thing for an incredibly nice profit.
- 53:55Speaker 6: Now here's the thing.
- 53:56Speaker 3: I still need a car, but I could buy a
- 53:58Speaker 3: perfectly decent use win and have a whole lot of
- 54:01Speaker 3: money left over with this one. Sounds like I just
- 54:04Speaker 3: won the car lottery, right, she said.
- 54:06Speaker 6: There's one problem. My friend clearly had no idea what
- 54:10Speaker 6: they had. I love this line.
- 54:12Speaker 3: She goes, Now I'm stuck in neutral, and she goes, zing,
- 54:15Speaker 3: ha ha. If I sell the car, do I come clean?
- 54:18Speaker 3: Do I give my friend a cut.
- 54:20Speaker 6: Of the prophet? Do I keep my mouth shut?
- 54:22Speaker 3: Because technically we agreed on a price and the car
- 54:25Speaker 3: is now mine. I'm not looking for the legal answer here,
- 54:29Speaker 3: I'm looking for the moral answer. Okay, every time I
- 54:32Speaker 3: think about cashing in, my stomach starts doing donuts.
- 54:36Speaker 6: So, guys, what's the right thing to do? Use this
- 54:38Speaker 6: for your show? Knows the segment.
- 54:41Speaker 3: It's driving me crazy, she said, Gosh, plump you guys.
- 54:45Speaker 6: Love Katie's laugh.
- 54:47Speaker 3: It's contagious and that's from Jamie and leyon Lakewood, So
- 54:51Speaker 3: listen if you want to sound off about Jamie's situation.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Phone lines are open, calls, comments, texts, whatever, three ZHO
- 54:57Speaker 3: three six' nine one one mix three six nine.
- 55:00Speaker 6: One sixteen forty. Nine phone lines are already.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Ringing, KATIE i don't even know IF i want you
- 55:06Speaker 3: to sound off about, this because you truly are kind
- 55:08Speaker 3: of in the same.
- 55:08Speaker 6: Situation.
- 55:09Speaker 1: ABSOLUTELY i mean it literally just went through this and
- 55:12Speaker 1: they're With jamie's. RIGHT i, mean it definitely tugs at
- 55:16Speaker 1: your moral heartstrings if you, will because, yeah you could
- 55:20Speaker 1: make some, money but you might feel bad about, it
- 55:23Speaker 1: so will give us.
- 55:24Speaker 6: NUMBERS i got to know what she. Paid but if
- 55:26Speaker 6: this thing is ten TIMES i mean what she paid
- 55:30Speaker 6: two grand and she's sell it for k let's say
- 55:33Speaker 6: that's a.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Big, profit that's a lot of, chap, Right, Absolutely.
- 55:38Speaker 3: SO i mean we could probably be right in that,
- 55:41Speaker 3: ballpark you, know of what she paid versus what it's.
- 55:45Speaker 6: Worth so it's probably a sweet little ride that her
- 55:47Speaker 6: friend had no. Idea BUT i know a lot of
- 55:50Speaker 6: people out there that are not car.
- 55:51Speaker 1: People they don't know what they have, exactly and they're
- 55:54Speaker 1: just looking to unload. Right something THAT i found out
- 55:57Speaker 1: is The kelly Blue book price it doesn't reflect what
- 56:01Speaker 1: you know collectors will pay or if there's like a
- 56:03Speaker 1: niche buy for this kind of. Thing it's not gonna say.
- 56:06Speaker 1: That it's only going to say what The kelly Blue
- 56:09Speaker 1: book says it's. Worth so, yeah it can be very
- 56:12Speaker 1: confusing when it comes to selling and buying a.
- 56:15Speaker 6: Vehicle, well she's stuck in.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Neutral.
- 56:17Speaker 6: YOU i hate that because that's a solid line THAT
- 56:21Speaker 6: i would.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Use jamie came up with.
- 56:23Speaker 6: It what Should jamie?
- 56:24Speaker 3: Do she got this car from a, friend got a great,
- 56:27Speaker 3: deal found out that it's worth like ten times what.
- 56:30Speaker 6: She paid for.
- 56:31Speaker 3: It should she sell, it take the? Cash should she
- 56:34Speaker 3: give some cash back to the original? Owner should she
- 56:37Speaker 3: shut up about?
- 56:38Speaker 1: It Kai, patrick good, Morning hey, body what would you
- 56:42Speaker 1: do in this?
- 56:43Speaker 6: Situation keep?
- 56:45Speaker 9: It would live and sleep over.
- 56:47Speaker 3: It.
- 56:47Speaker 2: No something just happened to me in a very similar.
- 56:51Speaker 2: WAY i bought a. TRAILER i didn't even know there
- 56:54Speaker 2: were collectible. Trailers, YEAH i paid out four thousand for,
- 56:58Speaker 2: it And i've found out about three weeks later from
- 57:02Speaker 2: some feedback from other people who saw me driving, it
- 57:06Speaker 2: that they go for about fifty five to sixty thousand.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Dollars there's only a handful of them in the.
- 57:12Speaker 6: Country so did you sell?
- 57:13Speaker 1: It And.
- 57:15Speaker 11: I'm thinking about?
- 57:16Speaker 4: It?
- 57:16Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 57:16Speaker 2: Absolutely you, know the moral dilemma for me comes in
- 57:20Speaker 2: if you knew that information, beforehand correct and kept it to.
- 57:26Speaker 2: You that's WHERE i would feel uncomfortable about. It but
- 57:30Speaker 2: things in society and value are so. Fickle, well what
- 57:33Speaker 2: happened if this was a straight deal and then the
- 57:36Speaker 2: world decided it was an awesome collectible thing a year?
- 57:41Speaker 2: Later do you then? Know or then well what about five?
- 57:43Speaker 6: Night, yeah that would be totally. DIFFERENT i wouldn't feel
- 57:46Speaker 6: guilty about.
- 57:46Speaker 3: THAT i, guess Like katie was saying off the, year
- 57:48Speaker 3: the moral dilemma for us would be finding that out
- 57:52Speaker 3: like right, away and then you feel bad for your
- 57:54Speaker 3: friend that your friend is missing out on that.
- 57:57Speaker 6: Opportunity, yeah you, know like that's.
- 57:59Speaker 1: The, piece because did you buy the trailer from your?
- 58:02Speaker 6: FRIEND i did?
- 58:04Speaker 1: It you? Did you? Said but you know? What you
- 58:09Speaker 1: know What? Patrick you know.
- 58:10Speaker 6: What's funny is it's different when it's dudes as. WELL
- 58:14Speaker 6: i think like.
- 58:15Speaker 3: If that happened to me and a, Buddy i'd be,
- 58:17Speaker 3: like too, bad, dude you screwed.
- 58:18Speaker 1: Up, YEAH i would hold that over his head for
- 58:20Speaker 1: the rest of his.
- 58:21Speaker 11: Life like, yeah and it's how far down that rabbit
- 58:26Speaker 11: hole do you?
- 58:27Speaker 2: Go do you do that with every single thing you have?
- 58:29Speaker 2: To you, know if you got a great value out
- 58:31Speaker 2: of something and you constantly owe people because it's worth
- 58:35Speaker 2: a little more than they thought of it the.
- 58:36Speaker 6: Worse and guys are, like do your own? Homework Did jack?
- 58:40Speaker 5: Ass you?
- 58:40Speaker 1: Know?
- 58:42Speaker 3: PATRICK i gotta let you, go, Buddy but thank you so.
- 58:44Speaker 3: MUCH i got to get to these other.
- 58:45Speaker 6: Calls but he, says don't feel bad about it your.
- 58:49Speaker 6: Life Here's, Jack, Hi, Jack, hey how were we?
- 58:52Speaker 1: Doing?
- 58:52Speaker 11: Everybody, hey we're, good.
- 58:53Speaker 6: Buddy what do you Think jamie should do about this?
- 58:55Speaker 6: Vehicle should she sell?
- 58:56Speaker 11: It you, KNOW i fully agree With patrick on everything he.
- 59:00Speaker 11: Said there's that slight moral, dilemma BUT i think it's that.
- 59:03Speaker 11: CLASSIC i mean. Consumerism if you're if you're looking at
- 59:06Speaker 11: two products and one is way, cheaper why would you
- 59:09Speaker 11: not go for. That i'm personally On Facebook marketplace all
- 59:13Speaker 11: the time And i'm looking for great, deals and whether
- 59:17Speaker 11: it's A friend Or Facebook, marketplace if you're gonna give
- 59:20Speaker 11: me a steal and not do your own. HOMEWORK i
- 59:22Speaker 11: don't know why it would be your responsibility to tell, them,
- 59:26Speaker 11: hey you should be charging me ten times more than.
- 59:28Speaker 3: This that's kind of Where i'm, at is like that's on.
- 59:31Speaker 3: You like, you you put a dollar amount on it
- 59:34Speaker 3: and said this is what is acceptable to. Me you
- 59:37Speaker 3: give it to that person and they're fine with, it
- 59:40Speaker 3: that's on them then if it's worth.
- 59:41Speaker 11: MORE i also think the friends should have no issues
- 59:45Speaker 11: if they find out after the after the. Cause, yeah
- 59:48Speaker 11: you find out that they lost out on ten percent
- 59:51Speaker 11: or ten times the. Profit, yeah they'll be looking at
- 59:54Speaker 11: themselves thinking that they're they're the idiot and they're the
- 59:57Speaker 11: ones that lost coming back.
- 59:58Speaker 9: And asking for the, money right, Right.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: JACK i appreciate your, call my, friend some good dude
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: advice there, again, right just logical.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: And cutting dry.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Exactly it makes so much.
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: Sense here's, desire, desire you know?
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: It, God, Hi so what are your thoughts on?
- 1:00:16Speaker 12: This she could, well if she really likes the, car
- 1:00:21Speaker 12: she should keep.
- 1:00:21Speaker 10: It but if if she needs the, money take the.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: Money take the.
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: Money because ALL i.
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: Do every mostly every day is buy. Cars she fixed
- 1:00:32Speaker 12: them up and resell. THEM i got This volkswagen bus
- 1:00:35Speaker 12: you've probably seen any of the. Airtech AND i paid
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: only three, thousand and it's worth ninety five hundred right.
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: Now this.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Guy look at this guy, flipping making making a. Deal
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: so you're all about the, money so you're like, whatever of.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Course.
- 1:00:48Speaker 12: Yeah and then a friend of, mine he was selling
- 1:00:50Speaker 12: His camaro to.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Me i'm, like, uh you know how much it's?

- 1:02:46Speaker 4: a climate controlled basement area where he thought that they
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: were going to go down the stairs and out to
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: a little barnyard.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Area it's a base.

- 1:04:15Speaker 6: Lives like this is real. Life you gotta you gotta
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: win one hundred percent of the time here as an

- 1:04:32Speaker 3: out of thirteen year old boys on those, headsets words
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: THAT i have never pieced together in my.
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: Life you hear children saying, them, yeah and you're, like.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Wow you make a really good. Point there may have
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: to be some kind of like appropriate training probably these
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: kids before they step up to that.
- 1:04:50Speaker 6: Lie i'm sure they'll go through a.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Process could you imagine if they didn't and that was
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the language for.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: THAT i, know you want to do what to my

- 1:05:18Speaker 1: On? Oh, yeah we've got a lot of good stuff.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Locally this one that microburst that caused the bounce house
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: to fly high and. Alt oh my. Goodness So Johannah,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: emery she's a vendor out. There she was at The
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Fall festival in All over the weekend and it was
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: her big jam stand that got bounced into the jam. Stand,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: jellies jams and preservatives all over the. PLACE i can't
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: even describe the. Scene it was blueberry. Everywhere you wouldn't even.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Believe everything was so.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: Sticky it.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Was it was so, sticky and everybody, is, OKAY i
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: want to point that. Out johanna's just. Fine she took
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: realized later, though that concrete smashed into her chest and
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: caused a lot of bruising and. Whatnot so she definitely
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: was in some pain because of the bounce house that
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: crashed into her in her jam. Stand there were no
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: children in that BOUNCE o my jamdand.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: Goodness she needs a vest that's filled with the jam
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: now at these events that she can put on kind
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: of like a bulletproof, vest but it's full of, jam
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: full of.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: Jam so if there's this type of, situation it just
- 1:06:16Speaker 6: hits her jam.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Fast, yeah. Exactly the, Blast, yeah like it was jammed or. Something, no,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: no that's. Not it's, okay, well the owner of the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: everything was done, properly but it was that big microburse
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: that came out of. Nowhere and that happens a, lot it.
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: Does do you think after she was hit with the,
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: concrete she, went, oh jam.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: It.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: It hurts so. Bad it's okay for.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: You, yeah the jokes have to be.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Good shut, Up, Jerry, okay let's move, on shall. We?
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Okay a person on a, motorcycle this is a Wild

- 1:06:53Speaker 1: down nine twenty five and all of a sudden a
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: motorcycle zips. Passed they do. THAT i absolutely hate. It
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and here's what happened in this. Scenario there were Two
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Colorado State patrol vehicles and a motorcycle spilit ride in between,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: them completely. Illegal it's all caught on video. Again but
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: right after, that right after they broke the law in
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: front of two officers of, it they crashed into the
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: sedan in front of, them all caught on. Video everyone's okay,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Again but it raises the question of this lane splitting
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and the illegal lane splitting as opposed to the lane.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: FILTERING i still don't know what the heck is legal
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: and not.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: LEGAL i just hated.
