  Speaker 2: as spiritual children. There is such thing. I used to

  Speaker 2: think that what was that when people used to say, Oh,

  Speaker 2: that's my spiritual son, that's my spiritual daughter, until God
• 0:35
  Speaker 2: showed me in real time what that meant and how
• 0:38
  Speaker 2: it looked and how it happened. A man, We're gonna

  Speaker 2: be talking about spiritual growth. We're gonna be talking about
• 0:45
  Speaker 2: spiritual children. We'll talk about how to grow spiritually on

  Speaker 2: both ends if you're a spiritual parent. Some people I

  Speaker 2: know don't have their own children, but they have a
• 0:55
  Speaker 2: lot of spiritual children. In other words, they don't have
• 0:58
  Speaker 2: physical children here on the earth, but they have a

  Speaker 2: whole lot of spiritual children.

  Speaker 2: And it's an amazing thing to see. But we're going

  Speaker 2: to talk about it about that ultimately. Oh wow, that

  Speaker 2: was like a Jamaican accent. But ultimately, spiritual growth is

  Speaker 2: a work of the Holy Spirit, and mentors are simply
• 1:21
  Speaker 2: vessels through whom God works to encourage and build up
• 1:25
  Speaker 2: the body of Christ.

  Speaker 1: Amen.

  Speaker 2: And I have been honored enough to mentor some people
• 1:31
  Speaker 2: in my life. Amen, It's an amazing thing to see

  Speaker 2: because nine out of ten times I normally would not

  Speaker 2: know what to do in the situations that they're in.

  Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit who guides me and who are allowed

  Speaker 2: to lead me, a man intercedes and really does this work,

  Speaker 2: does the job, because ultimately, the Holy Spirit is one
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: the one a man God. Holy Spirit, God is the
• 1:57
  Speaker 2: one who teaches rows you and grace and knowledge and
• 2:02
  Speaker 2: wisdom and understanding everything that we need to lead somebody else.

  Speaker 1: Listen. If I'm not being led by the Holy Spirit,

  Speaker 1: don't follow me.

  Speaker 2: Amen. If you're not led by the Holy Spirit, you shouldn't.

  Speaker 2: You should not encourage people to follow you either, because

  Speaker 2: if you're following me and I'm in the flesh, we're

  Speaker 2: gonna get into a bad space. But if you see

  Speaker 2: that Holy Spirit God is moving and working through somebody

  Speaker 2: that you can trust, and you're being mentored by that person,

  Speaker 2: you're being guided by that person. You're being led by

  Speaker 2: that person because they're being led by Holy Spirit God.

  Speaker 1: But that comes with spiritual growth though. Amen.

  Speaker 2: You start from where you are to men, so start

  Speaker 2: if it doesn't have to be you don't have to

  Speaker 2: be over spiritual, you don't have to be walking on

  Speaker 2: air Amen. You don't have to know a thousand verses.

  Speaker 2: You don't have to pray every five seconds, you don't

  Speaker 2: have to know the right words to say to every

  Speaker 2: single person that comes by your way. But as we're

  Speaker 2: growing spiritually, you're going to notice and other people are

  Speaker 2: going to notice that something's happening to you. It's called transformation.

  Speaker 2: You're being transformed and being renewed. You're being redeemed, you're
• 8:43
  Speaker 2: being saved. You're saved being saved. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So it's a continuous process, Amen, but it's a beautiful one.

  Speaker 1: I believe. Once you're saved, you're born again a man.

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit lives inside.

  Speaker 2: Of you right away, and then the growth process takes place.

  Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit doesn't slowly grow inside of you when

  Speaker 2: you get born again. The Holy Spirit is in you

  Speaker 2: a man. There's a transaction right then and there. When

  Speaker 2: you call upon the name of the Lord Jesus to

  Speaker 2: be saved, when you ask Jesus to save you, when

  Speaker 2: you ask them to forgive you, when you ask them.

  Speaker 1: To change you transform you.

  Speaker 2: Re knew you Holy Spirit will do the guide in

  Speaker 2: guarding transforming the conviction of sin.

  Speaker 2: I can't convince anybody that there's a God. The only

  Speaker 2: one that can convince you, the only one that can

  Speaker 2: convince you that God is real, is God himself, and

  Speaker 2: he does that by way of his word, by way

  Speaker 2: of his Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 2: Well, you could grow spiritually and you can start today.

  Speaker 2: You want to be in the family, the forever family

  Speaker 2: What you got to do is admit that you're a sinner, right,

  Speaker 2: ask God to forgive you for those sins through.

  Speaker 1: The Lord Jesus.

  Speaker 2: Believe in your salvation, and then confess Jesus as your

  Speaker 2: personal Lord and savior to everybody and man. You're gonna

  Speaker 2: want to confess him anyway. Once you feel the strength

  Speaker 2: and the power and the freedom that He gives you,
• 9:57
  Speaker 2: you're gonna want to tell the whole world. You're going
• 9:59
  Speaker 2: to want to jump on the mountaintop. Amen, is shout

  Speaker 2: go spiritual growth. And of course I put like a

  Speaker 2: graft there so you could see well what it might
• 10:36
  Speaker 2: look like in people's lives. They go from beginning and

  Speaker 2: then they start increasing. First three things, Chapter number three,

  Speaker 2: Versus six.

  Speaker 1: And seven. The word says, I planted the seed, and
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: Apollos warded it.
• 10:51
  Speaker 2: Apollos is another person that was spreading the gospel, apostle,

  Speaker 2: but God made it grow. So right off the bat,
• 10:59
  Speaker 2: we can't take credit for any kind of growth in
• 11:02
  Speaker 2: somebody else's life, but we could definitely take and plant
• 11:06
  Speaker 2: the seed of eternal life in somebody's heart, somebody's.

  Speaker 1: Life right now. You could do that.

  Speaker 2: We're doing that right now as we're come together, and
• 11:13
  Speaker 2: other people are listening or watching it, be like, what
• 11:15
  Speaker 2: are they doing? Well, we're planting the seeds of eternal life.

  Speaker 2: We're planting the seeds of freedom, liberty. We're planting the
• 11:23
  Speaker 2: seeds of salvation in people's hearts right now as we
• 11:28
  Speaker 2: speak the word and we read the word and we
• 11:30
  Speaker 2: apply this word. So I plant it, but God made
• 11:34
  Speaker 2: it growth. So neither he plants nor he who orders
• 11:40
  Speaker 2: is anything right. That's very humbling, But only God who
• 11:46
  Speaker 2: makes things grow.

  Speaker 1: See that.

  Speaker 2: Don't put too much pressure on yourself when you see
• 11:53
  Speaker 2: somebody that you love and they're not changing, and you're
• 11:57
  Speaker 2: and you're doing everything you can do for them, and

  Speaker 2: you share the Gospel with them and they just don't
• 12:02
  Speaker 2: want to receive, They don't want to believe, they don't
• 12:05
  Speaker 2: want to grow. Don't put all that pressure on you.

  Speaker 2: What you did was the right thing. You planted the seed.
• 12:12
  Speaker 2: But ultimately, like I said earlier, God is the one
• 12:16
  Speaker 2: who makes things grow. Holy Spirit is the one who
• 12:20
  Speaker 2: makes things grow. Amen, Only God makes things grow. So
• 12:26
  Speaker 2: take that pressure off of you. If that's you right now,
• 12:28
  Speaker 2: you're thinking about somebody right now, you're like, man, I
• 12:31
  Speaker 2: did my best. Well, praise the Lord. You can only
• 12:34
  Speaker 2: do what you could do, and now allow God to
• 12:36
  Speaker 2: do the rest. Spiritual growth a man takes place when
• 12:40
  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit God lives within a person and is guiding
• 12:44
  Speaker 2: them from beginning to the very end. As a matter
• 12:47
  Speaker 2: of fact, the end part of our lives as a
• 12:50
  Speaker 2: believer is.

  Speaker 1: More exciting than the beginning. And then what we're currently.

  Speaker 2: Facing, you have victories in this life, and you could

  Speaker 2: be living on the mountaintop right now. Amen. So you

  Speaker 2: know how good that feels when everything's going right. So

  Speaker 2: imagine how we feel at the end of your life

  Speaker 2: and you hear the words, well done, my good and

  Speaker 2: faithful servant, a man enter into the Kingdom of God.

  Speaker 2: How much more exhilarating exciting would that be when your
• 13:17
  Speaker 2: growth is noticed by the Holy One himself.

  Speaker 1: Amen. And it's just an amazing thing, an amazing thing. Amen.

  Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to it. But in the meantime, Amen,

  Speaker 2: I'm looking for tools receiving the Gospel message, Amen, and

  Speaker 2: being saved and being transformed and renewed and restored, and

  Speaker 2: things happening in their lives that they had to admit

  Speaker 2: for themselves that only God, only God, could have done
• 13:43
  Speaker 2: that in somebody's life.

  Speaker 1: So spiritual children right exists. It's a beautiful thing.

  Speaker 2: And we could see that illustrated in a New Testament

  Speaker 2: right between Apostle Paul and Timothy.

  Speaker 1: There's examples like that. So when we believe in Jesus Christ,

  Speaker 1: we are born again a man as children of God.

  Speaker 2: Now you see how that works. Like I came to

  Speaker 2: the Lord at thirty years old. Actually, he came to
• 14:11
  Speaker 2: me because I called upon God. I didn't call upon
• 14:14
  Speaker 2: the name of Jesus.

  Speaker 1: I didn't know no.
• 14:15
  Speaker 2: Scripture to get Jesus attention. All I knew is that
• 14:19
  Speaker 2: I was in a bad space, and I called upon
• 14:22
  Speaker 2: God to change me. I called him out, actually, and
• 14:26
  Speaker 2: I asked him to change me. And he met me
• 14:29
  Speaker 2: where I was. He found me where I was, Amen,

  Speaker 2: and he gave me the born again.

  Speaker 1: Experience, and I was born again.
• 14:37
  Speaker 2: I felt it. I didn't know what was going on.

  Speaker 2: I just knew someone woke up in me.

  Speaker 1: Amen.

  Speaker 2: I believe that was Holy Spirit. We were born again
• 14:46
  Speaker 2: and became children of God. We could see that in
• 14:48
  Speaker 2: John chapter one, verses twelve and thirteen.

  Speaker 1: So you can know I'm not making this up.

  Speaker 2: This new birth is not of human origin, but it's
• 14:57
  Speaker 2: a spiritual transformation that takes place when we're a part

  Speaker 2: of God's family. You become part of God's family, You

  Speaker 2: become a child of God.

  Speaker 1: By the way.

  Speaker 2: Only Jesus, our Christ, gives us the right to be
• 15:12
  Speaker 2: called children of God. I know a lot of people
• 15:14
  Speaker 2: like to go around and it sounds cool, it sounds fluffy,

  Speaker 2: It sounds like Oh, wow, cool. Oh, we're all God's children.

  Speaker 2: You ever heard somebody say that. They're saying it with sincerity.

  Speaker 2: They're sending it like everybody's included and we're all God's children.

  Speaker 1: You hear people saying that. Amen. And if you say that, amen,

  Speaker 1: don't take this as disrespect. But you're wrong. It's wrong.

  Speaker 2: Only Jesus gives us the right to be called children
• 15:39
  Speaker 2: of God because we have to be born again to
• 15:41
  Speaker 2: inherit the kingdom of God and Kingdom God. Once you're
• 15:44
  Speaker 2: in the Kingdom God, you know you're a child of
• 15:46
  Speaker 2: the King.

  Speaker 1: Amen. You'r a son or daughter of the living King.

  Speaker 2: So there's no religion that could get you to a

  Speaker 2: place of a seat, to get you into the place
• 15:58
  Speaker 2: where you can sit at the table with the Lord

  Speaker 2: Am other than Jesus himself rescuing you and shaving you.

  Speaker 1: And giving you the born again experience.

  Speaker 2: The new birth is not of human origin, but it
• 16:09
  Speaker 2: is a spiritual transformation. As His children. We are led
• 16:13
  Speaker 2: by what the flesh. Note, we're led by the spirit.

  Speaker 2: And this is a reality for all believers, for all believers,
• 16:22
  Speaker 2: according to Romans, chapter eight, verse number fourteen. So when
• 16:27
  Speaker 2: we talk about spiritual children. We're talking about spiritual growth.

  Speaker 2: We have a new identity in Christ. So whatever we
• 16:34
  Speaker 2: did before we identified ourselves as a believer in Christ,
• 16:38
  Speaker 2: whatever we did before, that type of growth.
• 16:42
  Speaker 1: Was taking us to a bad space.
• 16:44
  Speaker 2: As soon as we are born again, this type of
• 16:46
  Speaker 2: growth is taking us to a heavenly place. We are
• 16:50
  Speaker 2: destined for greatness once we are in the body of Christ,
• 16:55
  Speaker 2: once we are children of God, once we see our
• 16:57
  Speaker 2: spiritual growth going up. I've never seen a born again
• 17:01
  Speaker 2: believer take the spiritual growth and go to the ground.

  Speaker 2: Ay man. Some people might say, well, that's called backsliding. Listen,
• 17:09
  Speaker 2: God is married to the backslider.
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: Someone. Scripture might suggest.
• 17:13
  Speaker 2: That, right, But being married to a holy king and
• 17:17
  Speaker 2: a righteous king doesn't mean you go from top and
• 17:20
  Speaker 2: then you go backwards a man and say I'm down
• 17:23
  Speaker 2: here again. Every time you see a prophet in the
• 17:25
  Speaker 2: Old Covenant that they felt like there was nobody, nothing,
• 17:28
  Speaker 2: that they were the only ones, what did God say
• 17:31
  Speaker 2: to them? Be courageous, get up, what are you doing here?
• 17:35
  Speaker 2: Go to where I sent you. You always see God saying, Okay,
• 17:38
  Speaker 2: you're in your feelings, but I'm telling you you're not
• 17:41
  Speaker 2: who you think you are, You're not back where you
• 17:43
  Speaker 2: first started. You get up from where you are. You
• 17:45
  Speaker 2: don't go backwards. You get up from that point and
• 17:48
  Speaker 2: you go continue moving forward. There is no return to sender.

  Speaker 2: There is no going back once you're in the Kingdom

  Speaker 2: of God, because it's nothing to go back to. You
• 17:57
  Speaker 2: turn around, you'll see a bunch of rubble and destruction

  Speaker 2: and everything.

  Speaker 1: That God pulled you out of. Right.

  Speaker 2: who don't know Christ, they seem like they're living the

  Speaker 2: same life they lived thirty forty years ago.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes you return to where you grew up at.

  Speaker 2: I'll just say it like this, I don't want to

  Speaker 2: offend nobody, And you look at the situation that's going

  Speaker 2: on in those same areas where you grew up at,

  Speaker 2: and the same people are kind of like acting the

  Speaker 2: same way. There's no growth other than age, and they're

  Speaker 2: still doing the same things, you know, the smoking and

  Speaker 2: drinking and hanging out. And you look at you're like, oh, oh,

  Speaker 2: that could have been me, that could have been you, right,

  Speaker 2: But they're actually not growing.

  Speaker 1: In anything.

  Speaker 2: But once you see somebody in the body of Christ

  Speaker 2: that came out of that situation and you see the growth,

  Speaker 2: you look back and you be like, Wow, God pulled

  Speaker 2: us out of something that could have kept us into a.

  Speaker 1: Place of.

  Speaker 2: Limits, a place of failure, a place that's really not victory. Right,

  Speaker 2: You're really not free. You're still in.

  Speaker 1: Bondage of sin and all that stuff.

  Speaker 2: But when God saves you, he rescues you, he empowers you,

  Speaker 2: He actually transforms your life. You're going to see spiritual

  Speaker 2: growth when you're part of the spiritual family and the

  Speaker 2: Kingdom of God. It's something to look forward to. When

  Speaker 2: I wake up, I'm like, Okay, there's a new day.

  Speaker 2: God's with me to be courageous to go forward in victory,

  Speaker 2: and man, the new way of life is always something

  Speaker 2: new going on in the Kingdom of God. You grow

  Speaker 2: that way, surround yourself with people who want to grow

  Speaker 2: in Christ. If you surround yourself with people that just

  Speaker 2: reject the Gospel, that don't want no parts of God, Amen,

  Speaker 2: you're gonna find yourself struggling in areas that you and

  Speaker 2: I know that we're not there no more. Amen, Why

  Speaker 2: are we struggling in those areas? It's like an unfair

  Speaker 2: fight when you surrounding yourself with people who are not growing.

  Speaker 2: So you've been transferred from the domain of darkness into

  Speaker 2: growth is powerful spiritual children. I have a spiritual I

  Speaker 2: saw on one of my soul winners, two brothers that

  Speaker 2: was watching them for three years until I came to

  Speaker 2: the conclusion that I might as well give it a try,

  Speaker 2: they see growth. Honor them, the Martinez brothers. So as

  Speaker 2: function by Holy spirit. Sometimes it's by the flesh, you know,

  Speaker 2: I have another spiritual son. I believe he's in Philadelphia.

  Speaker 2: I gotta check up on him. And I have a

  Speaker 2: couple in different places. But listen, spiritual growth is beautiful

  Speaker 2: when you see it, when you see that seed that

  Speaker 2: you're sown. And sometimes God allows you to see the

  Speaker 2: growth and the seeds that you're sown because He He'll grow

  Speaker 2: those seeds. So our relationship with God is secure, it's

  Speaker 2: guaranteed it. It's a tight relationship. Nothing can separate us

  Speaker 2: from the love of God. No demon, no devil, no death, life,
