  SPEAKER_00: It's so crazy to think that most all of our teams have already played a quarter of their season.

  SPEAKER_00: First uh score of the week, Rubido 47, 29 palms, 14.

  SPEAKER_00: So 29 palms goes on the road, has a tough one against Rubido.

  SPEAKER_02: I I did watch a little bit of it.

  SPEAKER_02: And right when they right when they lined up against each other, you're just like, oh man, Rubidou was big across from all 11 other guys with Giants compared to 29 Palms.

  SPEAKER_02: And 29 had some guys, especially on the outside quarterback, but their running back at Rubido was nice, man.

  SPEAKER_02: He was one of the best running backs I've seen this year.

  SPEAKER_02: He was a good giant among, you know, 29 just they had some guys everywhere, but they had some guys that probably should be taking some lumps on JB.

  SPEAKER_02: Still, you know, that's what happens when you get a smaller school, and you got to get some guys to step up, and it showed in that game.

  SPEAKER_02: But um they they had some life, even though they like physically didn't match up well, they were still hitting some wide receiver screens.

  SPEAKER_02: And uh, I if if I was on that team, I would just tell them to trust the process.

  SPEAKER_02: Um, it looked like you know, they had a ton of momentum going in this game.

  SPEAKER_02: And uh you you we got the feeling that they would knock off Tockwitz, but just seems like they couldn't do it.

  SPEAKER_00: I didn't see the game, but it's it it sounds like they had some turnovers or yeah, from what I hear, uh speaking to some people, they had some turnovers at some untimely, untimely situations.

  SPEAKER_00: When you get on the road and you play sloppy, yeah, sometimes you know, those are the difference in the game.

  SPEAKER_00: So the Rajas, after those two straight wins, now we're looking at two losses, but a pretty respectable score for what Western Christian is.

  SPEAKER_00: I think uh Western just has too many, too many weapons on offense, and you know, Indio kind of on the road, tough sledding over there, but hey, pretty respectable score.

  SPEAKER_02: I watched a little bit of it, and Colton just matched up really well with them, especially on the outside.

  SPEAKER_02: Um, they had speed um on the outside, and their quarterback was nice.

  SPEAKER_02: Coaching staff, Colton does a really good job, um, not a lot of confusion.

  SPEAKER_02: They were moving the ball, and and then on the flip side, Palm Springs defense.

  SPEAKER_02: They um I I love Coach Brown.

  SPEAKER_02: They were flexing in and out of different fronts, and they had guys in position to make plays, and for whatever reason, they just didn't make the tackle.

  SPEAKER_02: Or um it looked like there was a broken coverage where they they willed a back out and he was just wide open, so they were probably man coverage, and the linebacker should know he's got number three out, and and they didn't cover him.

  SPEAKER_02: So it looks like they're just kind of fixing a lot of little pieces, especially for the younger guys coming up into the system.

  SPEAKER_02: And I think they'll be fine though once the league comes around.

  SPEAKER_00: But Devin Sessions, man, that's a name that we should probably should start paying more attention to because that that kid, that sophomore is a really he's a really up and coming.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, UKIP, UKIPA was uh team that beat Shadow Hills pretty handily the week before, and they come down here to Palm Desert.

  SPEAKER_02: Um uh it's if they just you know went by offense and defense, La Quinta wins the game.

  SPEAKER_02: But because there's special teams involved, they they were up in the third quarter, um, handling them pretty easy.

  SPEAKER_02: And uh they, you know, hit um Hisperia punts the ball and uh Castro, you know, muffs it at the five, and and uh Hisperi recovers it, they score touchdown, and then they line up on the kickoff, pooch kick right over that front line.

  SPEAKER_02: And the ball bounces back perfectly and they recover it, and then they go in and score again.

  SPEAKER_02: So that's like just talk about momentum switch.

  SPEAKER_02: And um hats off to La Quinta.

  SPEAKER_02: They they got the ball, they drove back down, scored, went up, and then Hisperi scored again, and then um La Quinta had a hunt like a minute 30 to score to win the game, and they were moving the ball.

  SPEAKER_02: I don't know if they didn't have any timeouts or if they did, but it was fourth down, man, and and they hurried up and spiked it.

  SPEAKER_02: So they got to work out that two-minute offense a little bit better, or um, either run it or try to get the first down in that moment, or or use your timeout if you got timeout or something, but you can't spike it on fourth down.

  SPEAKER_02: And I think they did that, they're gonna fix that.

  SPEAKER_00: So, you know, a tough loss for Coach P, but you know, sometimes those early losses you gain more than you from those losses, and you would actually win a close win.
