- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the Guitar Jet podcast, where you'll skyrocket your
- 0:03Speaker 1: knowledge of theory, techniques and fundamentals for guitar. Hey, it's
- 0:09Speaker 1: Miles and I have a quick short episode for you
- 0:11Speaker 1: today where I'm going to talk to you about the
- 0:15Speaker 1: A natural minor scale. And the A natural minor scale
- 0:19Speaker 1: is a seven not scale that contains all seven natural
- 0:22Speaker 1: notes from Western harmony. And if you don't know, a
- 0:25Speaker 1: natural note is a note that does not have a
- 0:28Speaker 1: sharp or flat. This is starting from the root note A,
- 0:33Speaker 1: which gives you the notes abcd FG. The scale has
- 0:38Speaker 1: two other popular names, the A minor scale and the
- 0:41Speaker 1: Aaolian mode, so whenever you hear Aolian that means natural minor. Also,
- 0:49Speaker 1: the A natural minor scale is the relative minor of
- 0:53Speaker 1: the C major scale, meaning that it's the minor scale
- 0:56Speaker 1: built from the sixth degree of the C major scale. Well,
- 1:00Speaker 1: this means the two scales share the same numbers. And
- 1:05Speaker 1: if you want to learn how to play this scale,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you can follow my link in the description below or
- 1:10Speaker 1: just go to guitar dot dot com and type in
- 1:13Speaker 1: A natural minor scale in the search bar. Thank you
- 1:17Speaker 1: so much for listening. Subscribe to the Guitar Deck podcast
