- 18:50Nora: there's nothing you can do about the downtime.
- 18:53Chris: They filled it where they could.
- 18:53Chris: They tried.
- 18:54Chris: They tried.
- 18:55Chris: You know, they did basically the same stuff
- 18:57Chris: they do between innings and whatnot.
- 18:59Chris: They did a lot of that, so there was a lot of singing,
- 19:02Chris: there was dancing, there was choreography stuff,
- 19:04Chris: there was juggling.
- 19:06Chris: But I'm watching these people go out and perform
- 19:09Chris: in pouring rain, and really the only thing I can think of
- 19:12Chris: is, man, I feel so sad that they're getting so wet.
- 19:15Mandy: Yeah, who drew the short straw for that one?
- 19:17Chris: Exactly.
- 19:19Chris: But who doesn't love a wet man?
- 19:23Chris: But I wanna draw special attention
- 19:25Chris: to my favorite participant of the game, this woman.
- 19:28Chris: (laughing)
- 19:29Chris: Who was dancing the entire game.
- 19:33Mandy: During the instructions, like the rules,
- 19:36Mandy: she was dancing.
- 19:37Chris: Yeah, like it was-
- 19:39Mandy: Dancing in the rules, like, oh yeah,
- 19:41Mandy: tell us the rules.
- 19:42Mandy: What are those rules?
- 19:43Mandy: Yeah, uh-huh, uh-huh.
- 19:46Chris: I have multiple videos of this chick just getting down.
- 19:52Chris: She was there with some children,
- 19:54Chris: which I think were hers, but they seemed to,
- 19:57Chris: like she seemed to be not interested in them at all.
- 19:59Chris: She was just kinda, she was just grooving a little bit,
- 20:02Chris: you know?
- 20:03Nora: I am so here for that.
- 20:04Chris: Like look at that, now she's removed a layer.
- 20:06Chris: We were taking bets on whether she would end up naked
- 20:09Chris: by the end of it.
- 20:10Chris: (laughing)
- 20:10Mandy: She, okay, halfway through, she disappeared.
- 20:13Mandy: And we think she like took a little snoozy nap,
- 20:16Mandy: like at the bottom of the, like, of the chairs.
- 20:19Chris: Yeah, I assume she passed out.
- 20:20Mandy: Yeah, she took a little nap and then came back dancing.
- 20:24Charles: How can we do that for this show?
- 20:26Charles: Just take a snoozy little nap for the middle section
- 20:31Charles: of this episode and then come back and finish it up.
- 20:34Nora: I'm eating my bread.
- 20:35Nora: You're eating bread already?
- 20:37Nora: Yeah, 'cause I-
- 20:37Nora: How is it?
- 20:38Nora: It's really, it tastes delicious.
- 20:40Nora: It has rising problems, which we knew.
- 20:42Nora: Right.
- 20:43Chris: It's got some ED.
- 20:44Nora: I mean, you got the starter from Charles.
- 20:47Nora: I got the right amount of salt.
- 20:48Nora: That's much better.
- 20:50Nora: I have the starter from Charles.
- 20:52Nora: I just need to feed my starter earlier.
- 20:54Nora: Is really, I think, what I need to do.
- 20:56Nora: That's gonna be my next experiment.
- 20:58Charles: I wanted to see your recipe too.
- 21:00Nora: The one that you're-
- 21:00Nora: It's the exact one that you gave me from the dug.
- 21:03Charles: Okay, I'm gonna send you-
- 21:04Nora: Send me an updated one.
- 21:05Nora: An updated one.
- 21:06Chris: So Mandy, since you were there with us
- 21:09Chris: when we were doing the banana bowl,
- 21:11Chris: other than the rain delay,
- 21:13Chris: which tested everybody's patience,
- 21:15Chris: what was your impression of the whole thing?
- 21:18Mandy: I'm glad it was there.
- 21:19Mandy: Like the dancing and stuff, I got real bored real fast.
- 21:23Mandy: I had the attention span of like a fifth grader.
- 21:26Mandy: Stilt!
- 21:27Chris: Yeah, stilt dude.
- 21:28Mandy: I was diagnosed with ADHD in the 90s as a girl.
- 21:33Mandy: That's a lot.
- 21:34Mandy: Like that doesn't happen in the 90s as a girl.
- 21:38Mandy: So as fifth grade attention span, I needed to go home.
- 21:41Mandy: Like I got bored.
- 21:42Mandy: Or do something else, just go somewhere else,
- 21:44Mandy: do something else.
- 21:44Chris: Did you consider just dancing?
- 21:46Nora: I should have.
- 21:48Nora: You could have gone, what I did is I just went
- 21:50Nora: and stood in the line for all of the merch
- 21:52Nora: 'cause the merch line was long.
- 21:54Nora: But I guess if you had a two hour rain delay,
- 21:56Nora: then it doesn't matter.
- 21:57Mandy: Yeah, and I still have a broken leg technically,
- 22:01Mandy: so standing isn't really my forte.
- 22:03Mandy: That's not really for you.
- 22:04Mandy: Yeah, not right now.
- 22:05Chris: You could have danced in place.
- 22:07Chris: I could have just.
- 22:08Mandy: The club seats are the way to go.
- 22:11Nora: If you go to the cornfield. - Yeah, forever.
- 22:13Nora: They're so awesome.
- 22:14Chris: And the nice thing about where we sat
- 22:16Chris: is that we were just under the like,
- 22:19Chris: One row. - Rooftop canopy.
- 22:21Chris: So yeah, barely under it,
- 22:22Chris: but we didn't get any rain at all,
- 22:24Chris: whereas people two rows in front of us got soaked.
- 22:27Chris: So that was pretty cool.
- 22:28Nora: Yeah, club seats are the way to go.
- 22:29Chris: Yeah.
- 22:30Chris: Good times.
- 22:30Chris: I recommend anyone who gets a chance to go should go.
- 22:34Chris: What was that face?
- 22:35Chris: I got a crunchy bit.
- 22:37Chris: (laughing)
- 22:38Chris: Banana ball is amazing.
- 22:39Chris: I'm really mad that I didn't get to go.
- 22:42Chris: I love it.
- 22:44Chris: So I guess the question before us is,
- 22:47Charles: does this make us sports fans?
- 22:50Nora: No.
- 22:50Charles: Well, we also went to another sports thing
- 22:53Charles: that we'll talk about later in the show.
- 22:54Charles: We did. - We did.
- 22:55Nora: Are we sports guys now?
- 22:57Charles: Are we into sports? - Are we sports guys?
- 23:00Chris: I guess that's the question, right?
- 23:01Chris: I'm too pretty.
- 23:03Mandy: I'm sorry, except I did get to like make a little outfit
- 23:06Mandy: for the bananas. - That's so fun.
- 23:07Mandy: And so I am for that.
- 23:09Mandy: Maybe if I was, they were more themed, I think I'd-
- 23:13Chris: Well not only did you make the banana dress,
- 23:16Chris: but you also made a whole bunch of banana scrunchies
- 23:18Chris: that you handed out to people like they were cupcakes.
- 23:22Mandy: Which was delightful.
- 23:23Mandy: So people would come up to me and compliment my dress
- 23:25Mandy: and anybody who complimented my dress
- 23:27Mandy: got a matching scrunchie.
- 23:28Charles: Okay, real quick, how'd you get that fabric?
- 23:33Mandy: Lynn bought it online.
- 23:36Mandy: Spoonflower.
- 23:37Charles: Nice. - Love it.
- 23:38Charles: Nice. - Love it.
- 23:39Charles: Hell yeah. - Yeah.
- 23:40Charles: Hell yeah.
- 23:41Mandy: I did offer to make ones for the boys that match.
- 23:44Mandy: They were not interested.
- 23:46Mandy: What the fuck?
- 23:47Chris: That's kinda lame. - I have a thing with fabric.
- 23:49Chris: I need it to be like super soft or I don't enjoy myself.
- 23:52Mandy: So you can buy this in silk.
- 23:55Mandy: You just have to be willing to pay for it.
- 23:57Chris: I wasn't told that.
- 23:59Mandy: It's an option.
- 24:00Chris: All right, good to know for next time.
- 24:03Chris: You could have had little like slutty little shorts, Chris.
- 24:06Mandy: I offered, like I had, I showed a pattern.
- 24:09Mandy: I was like, here's, and it's like a little,
- 24:10Mandy: a little Hawaiian top and little Hawaiian shorts.
- 24:12Mandy: Right, that would have been perfect for that pattern.
- 24:14Mandy: Yeah. - It really would have.
- 24:15Chris: Missed opportunities, but you know, we had a good time.
- 24:18Chris: We got home way, way, way too late.
- 24:19Mandy: Yeah, I wasn't in bed until three o'clock in the morning
- 24:22Mandy: and I am too old for that, like officially.
- 24:24Mandy: Yeah. - No.
- 24:25Chris: That's really late. - Speaking of too old for that,
- 24:27Chris: you're going to MCR this week.
- 24:28Mandy: I know, I know.
- 24:30Mandy: Three weeks in a row going to Denver for late nights.
- 24:34Nora: And there's gonna be a lunar eclipse tomorrow night
- 24:37Mandy: for MCR. - Oh yeah?
- 24:38Mandy: I didn't know that. - That's cool.
- 24:40Mandy: Lunar eclipse for MCR.
- 24:42Charles: That's pretty cool. - Yeah, that is pretty cool.
- 24:44Mandy: Fourth row, you guys, fourth row.
- 24:47Chris: So on one of our group activities,
- 24:50Chris: We kind of all decided that we're gonna start reviewing the Twilight movies. How are we doing this Charles? Okay
- 24:57Charles: This is what we need to talk about right? So we're gonna start weekly
- 25:01Charles: Doing one movie a week
- 25:04Charles: Do we also?
- 25:06Charles: Have somebody also reviewing the books
- 25:09Mandy: You're not gonna do that. I mean I can read them again. I won't read them
- 25:13Charles: Do you think that's enough time a week per book? I bless your heart
- 25:17Mandy: They're not hard reads.
- 25:19Chris: No, I understand, but like.
- 25:21Chris: I think watching the movies is dutiful enough.
- 25:27Chris: For you?
- 25:27Chris: I don't feel the need to read the books.
- 25:29Charles: Well, no, I'm just saying at least one of us
- 25:30Charles: should also read the book to see if there's like,
- 25:33Charles: the significant differences.
- 25:35Mandy: Look, I don't even wanna admit what I'm about to admit.
- 25:39Mandy: (laughing)
- 25:39Chris: She's read it a lot.
- 25:40Chris: Do it, do it, do it.
- 25:42Mandy: So I listen to Things to Fall Asleep
- 25:45Mandy: And sometimes they were books with rain in the background.
- 25:48Mandy: So they'd read an audio book to you with rain.
- 25:50Mandy: And so I was doing Pride and Prejudice,
- 25:52Mandy: and that was wonderful,
- 25:53Mandy: until Pride and Prejudice got cut in the middle
- 25:56Mandy: with a horror story.
- 25:58Mandy: And so I'm waking up in the middle of the night
- 25:59Mandy: to literal, like, the house, what is it?
- 26:02Mandy: The Netflix ones?
- 26:04Mandy: That haunting? - Oh, like the
- 26:05Mandy: haunting of the film. - Haunting film, yes.
- 26:07Mandy: And so I wake up to that in the middle of the night,
- 26:09Mandy: and I'm like, this is not it, this is not it.
- 26:11Mandy: So I switched to Twilight because there's so many of them,
- 26:14Mandy: and it consists of a giant playlist.
- 26:16Mandy: And nothing is really terrifying about Twilight.
- 26:18Chris: Sure.
- 26:19Mandy: So I already am apparently too familiar with the story.
- 26:22Mandy: So you know the books.
- 26:24Charles: Did you have Twilight themed dreams during that time
- 26:28Charles: when you were listening to the books?
- 26:30Mandy: I haven't, sadly no.
- 26:32Mandy: Sadly no.
- 26:33Mandy: That's sad.
- 26:33Mandy: Yeah.
- 26:34Mandy: No renaissance?
- 26:36Nora: No, no, that would be horror as well.
- 26:39Nora: (laughing)
- 26:40Nora: Stop mogging over there.
- 26:42Nora: You're brain bugging me.
- 26:43Chris: It's so fun.
- 26:45Chris: So here's my question then.
- 26:46Chris: Are we watching these as a group or are we
- 26:49Chris: watching them all individual and kind of like comparing notes
- 26:52Chris: on the show?
- 26:52Chris: We should watch the final one together.
- 26:55Charles: OK.
- 26:55Mandy: The final one is two parts.
- 26:57Mandy: Some questions.
- 26:58Mandy: Number five?
- 26:59Charles: I think the final, final movie we should watch together
- 27:03Charles: because that one gets wild.
- 27:06Video: OK.
- 27:07Video: Yeah.
- 27:08Charles: You know what I'm talking about.
- 27:09Charles: I do know what you're talking about.
- 27:10Charles: I need a film Chris's reaction to that moment.
- 27:15Charles: That's valid.
- 27:15Charles: Is it gonna be something like this?
- 27:18Nora: No. - No.
- 27:19Nora: No.
- 27:20Charles: How about this?
- 27:21Nora: I haven't, no.
- 27:22Nora: It's gonna be, you're gonna be mad about it.
- 27:24Nora: You're gonna be fucking mad.
- 27:25Charles: Chris, you're gonna look like this.
- 27:30Charles: (laughing)
- 27:34Charles: If you suck in your cheeks a little bit,
- 27:36Charles: it gives that gaunt kind of look too.
- 27:39Charles: Like bite your cheeks.
- 27:40Charles: More like bite the insides of your cheeks.
- 27:43Charles: Bite your lip.
- 27:44Charles: Bite your lip.
- 27:44Mandy: So in physical therapy, we have a word
- 27:47Mandy: for these sorts of things.
- 27:48Mandy: And they're called motor morons, is what my physical therapist
- 27:51Mandy: says.
- 27:52Mandy: People who can't control all their fine motor skills
- 27:55Mandy: and understand how-
- 27:57Mandy: they'll raise your right hand, and they won't understand
- 27:59Mandy: how to do it.
- 28:00Chris: OK.
- 28:01Chris: I mean, I did have Bell's palsy last year.
- 28:04Chris: That's fair.
- 28:05Chris: Maybe that's something to do with it.
- 28:06Charles: It's a-- your motor moron symptoms are Bell's palsy.
- 28:12Charles: Perfect.
- 28:13Charles: Yeah, it's just my luck.
- 28:15Charles: But no, I think that movie we will watch together
- 28:21Charles: and film our reactions.
- 28:22Nora: I haven't actually watched it.
- 28:24Nora: So I'm sure my reaction will be good, but I do know about it.
- 28:29Charles: But I think we'll go through not only the movies, right?
- 28:32Charles: We'll talk about the movies, what we liked,
- 28:34Charles: what we didn't like.
- 28:35Charles: But we should also go into like the the the others
- 28:41Mandy: Know the impact in cult on culture. That's why I like to write
- 28:45Charles: We need a we need to teach Chris about tits soak right the lore we need to teach Chris about like
- 28:52Charles: Eggward
- 28:54Chris: Eggward Eggward like all of the all of the need you say Edward or egg word. We said it right
- 29:00Charles: I said it right yeah, we said all right, okay?
- 29:03Charles: Like there's there's so many like classic memes and like that has like
- 29:10Charles: Destroyed the brains of many people. It's so mean aside and I can't wait to be one of them
- 29:18Charles: But any other things that we should like kind of do with this
- 29:24Chris: So I guess the question is when do we start? Are we are we saying like by next week?
- 29:28Charles: We'll have watched the first movie. Yes. Yes, I think on Hulu starting
- 29:32Charles: Starting next week, we're going to do one movie a week,
- 29:35Charles: leading up to the fifth movie, where we all watch together.
- 29:39Charles: And-
- 29:40Mandy: Can we get the fifth movie on calendar
- 29:41Mandy: so that we can arrange watching times?
- 29:43Mandy: And 2B.
- 29:45Charles: Yeah.
- 29:46Mandy: Yeah, we'll plan-- well, we should plan that,
- 29:48Nora: like, after the show.
- 29:50Mandy: Olivia is super stoked for us to be watching Twilight.
- 29:53Mandy: Excellent.
- 29:54Mandy: And agreed that somebody should read the book.
- 29:56Mandy: And I volunteer as tribute because I can do it.
- 29:57Mandy: I think I'm going to do it.
- 29:58Chris: I'm going to do it, too, I think.
- 29:59Mandy: OK.
- 29:59Mandy: We can do it together!
- 30:00Chris: Yay!
- 30:00Chris: Stop it.
- 30:02Chris: Olivia says we should watch them all together.
- 30:03Mandy: Yes, yes, yes.
- 30:04Mandy: Oh, Olivia, I'm all about a theme.
- 30:06Mandy: You know I'm all about a theme.
- 30:07Mandy: So Twilight themed dinner party and drinks.
- 30:10Mandy: Oh, I love it.
- 30:11Charles: Oh my gosh.
- 30:12Mandy: Except I did just host Augsgiving,
- 30:14Mandy: so I'm kind of burnt.
- 30:16Chris: I can host.
- 30:17Chris: Yeah, but good thing you have all this sugar,
- 30:19Chris: so you'll have energy to plan the events.
- 30:21Nora: So much sugar.
- 30:23Nora: I love you.
- 30:23Nora: You need to get a fork in there.
- 30:28Charles: So with that, so we've got some great stuff next.
- 30:31Charles: but we got some great stuff this week,
- 30:34Charles: very specifically in Around the Net.
- 30:43Video: Around the Net.
- 30:45Video: (clapping)
- 30:46Nora: Okay, and we have a few this week.
- 30:48Nora: So let's start with the event that we missed
- 30:52Nora: because these three were not willing
- 30:55Nora: to hang out with me another day.
- 30:56Nora: Heather actually-
- 30:58Chris: (laughing)
- 30:58Chris: Whoa, whoa, whoa, shots.
- 31:00Chris: Whoa, Nora, whoa, whoa.
- 31:02Nora: And actually, I didn't want to drive down to Denver again.
- 31:04Nora: But Heather roller skated.
- 31:06Nora: Let's see the update.
- 31:07Nora: Heather, Heather, Heather.
- 31:10Nora: Somebody's painting her.
- 31:13Video: Please don't die.
- 31:14Video: You got this.
- 31:16Video: [SCREAMING]
- 31:18Video: Yes.
- 31:20Video: Look how many people showed up.
- 31:23Video: [SCREAMING]
- 31:25Video: [SCREAMING]
- 31:28Video: (crowd cheering)
- 31:30Nora: She's falling really good.
- 31:33Nora: (dog barking)
- 31:40Mandy: I love how supportive everyone is.
- 31:42Mandy: She has a butt pad.
- 31:44Mandy: (crowd cheering)
- 31:46Chris: I can't believe how many people showed up for this.
- 31:49Chris: (laughing)
- 31:51Nora: We missed it you guys, we missed it.
- 31:53Chris: We really did.
- 31:55Chris: Wow, good for her.
- 31:57Nora: Yeah, so she roller skated.
- 31:58Nora: That's community organizing right there.
- 32:00Nora: Yeah, it is.
- 32:01Nora: That's community organizing.
- 32:02Nora: And the dogs were cheering for her.
- 32:03Chris: And for such a useful cause too.
- 32:05Nora: Yeah, right?
- 32:07Nora: Like, yeah, a girl roller skating for the bit.
- 32:11Nora: I think it turned into a bit.
- 32:13Charles: Okay. - Turned into?
- 32:14Charles: It was a bit the entire time.
- 32:15Nora: Yeah, it was always a bit.
- 32:16Nora: Well, you know, if you never roller skated before
- 32:20Nora: and you turned it into a bit, then like kudos to you.
- 32:23Nora: Okay, this next one is an Iowa newscast.
- 32:26Nora: And frankly, I don't remember what this video is.
- 32:28Nora: So let's see.
- 32:29Chris: Excellent.
- 32:30Video: Alex, welcome to you.
- 32:31Video: Oh, please don't tell me you were writing down that slide.
- 32:33Video: You're OK.
- 32:34Video: You're at the bottom of the slide.
- 32:34Video: You must be.
- 32:36Video: OK.
- 32:36Video: I thought you might be writing down knowing you.
- 32:38Video: But anyway, Alex, are Democratic candidates more optimistic today?
- 32:44Video: Alex, I'll be honest.
- 32:45Video: I'm at the top of the slide.
- 32:46Video: And right now, Democrats are feeling like they're at a new height.
- 32:51Video: Remember, this is a state that's been absent of Democratic leadership for quite some time.
- 32:56Chris: You know, political news coverage has really gone downhill lately.
- 33:07Chris: If they did it like this, I wouldn't mind.
- 33:10Video: Now, the last time a Democrat was elected to the governor's mansion,
- 33:13Video: that was 2006 with Chad Colver. The last time a Democrat was elected to the halls of the U.S.
- 33:18Video: That was Tom Harkin all the way back in 2008.
- 33:21Video: But right now, as we're sliding into the midterms,
- 33:24Video: we caught up with Josh Turick and Rob Sand,
- 33:28Video: and they tell us that they're projecting a lot of confidence.
- 33:31Video: Take a listen.
- 33:32Chris: The cameraman is just like, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit.
- 33:36Video: He timed it so perfectly.
- 33:38Chris: Yeah, that was very good.
- 33:40Chris: The guy was about to push him down.
- 33:42Chris: You see that?
- 33:43Chris: He's like, come on, man.
- 33:44Nora: I'll do it.
- 33:44Nora: I'll do it.
- 33:45Chris: You know the whole pitch for that
- 33:47Chris: Just so he could say we're sliding into the midterm.
- 33:49Nora: Mm-hmm, yep.
- 33:50Nora: (laughs)

- 1:09:42Video: My God, I am so proud of her.
- 1:09:44Video: Okay.
- 1:09:44Video: So let's see if it could hold me.
- 1:09:45Nora: Oh, let's see.
- 1:09:49Nora: No, no.
- 1:09:51Video: (laughing)
- 1:09:54Nora: All right.
- 1:09:55Nora: We have just a few more.
- 1:09:57Nora: And these are just the best ones that I found.
- 1:09:59Nora: We have Bach Tower Garden is,
- 1:10:01Nora: Actually, let's skip the Bach Tower.
- 1:10:03Nora: Let's go to the next one, the next Instagram one
- 1:10:06Nora: that you have loaded up, the Longwood Gardens.
- 1:10:08Chris: Okay, I was gonna say, 'cause the next one
- 1:10:11Chris: in the rundown is five minutes long.
- 1:10:12Nora: Yeah, no, go for the Longwood Gardens.
- 1:10:14Chris: Got it.
- 1:10:24Charles: They have an announcer.
- 1:10:25Chris: (laughing)
- 1:10:25Chris: Penny Clam Chowder, okay.
- 1:10:28Chris: (laughing)
- 1:10:28Speaker 12: She's my favorite.
- 1:10:29Speaker 12: Ladies and gentlemen, Waterlily fans, garden enthusiasts,
- 1:10:33Speaker 12: and people who were told there would be free food.
- 1:10:35Speaker 12: [RECORD SCRATCH]
- 1:10:37Speaker 12: Welcome, folks, to the fifth annual Waterlily Way Off.
- 1:10:40Speaker 12: We're live from Longwood Gardens in beautiful Cannon
- 1:10:43Speaker 12: Square, Pennsylvania.
- 1:10:44Speaker 12: Hey, can you pause real quick?
- 1:10:46Charles: Is that microphone plugged in?
- 1:10:50Charles: No.
- 1:10:51Speaker 12: It does not appear to be.
- 1:10:53Speaker 12: What with it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 12: Kenny "Klam-chowda" Silvera.
- 1:10:57Video: Just really happy to be here.
- 1:10:59Speaker 12: I love that.
- 1:11:00Speaker 12: That is the best lower third.
- 1:11:03Speaker 12: Today we gather for one of the most
- 1:11:05Speaker 12: physically demanding competitions known to horticulture.
- 1:11:08Speaker 12: Think of it as the Super Bowl of water gardening.
- 1:11:11Speaker 12: The World Series of floating leaves.
- 1:11:13Speaker 12: The Olympics of aquatic plants.
- 1:11:15Speaker 12: The Kentucky Derby of things that don't move.
- 1:11:18Speaker 12: That may be the best description you've ever given.
- 1:11:21Speaker 12: Last year, Longwood entered this competition
- 1:11:23Video: for the first time. - I want that sticker.
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: Our Longwood Water Lily held an incredible 165 pounds.
- 1:11:29Speaker 12: This year, we've got the boom.
- 1:11:31Speaker 12: Suzanne Boehm is now our head water gardener.
- 1:11:34Speaker 12: She's been trained by none other than-
- 1:11:37Speaker 12: Tim, Water Lily Master Jennings.
- 1:11:39Speaker 12: The man, the myth, the legend.
- 1:11:42Speaker 12: The man who spent years growing water lilies so big, so round,
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: they need another zip code.
- 1:11:48Speaker 12: Under Tim's tutelage, Suzanne has learned all the skills,
- 1:11:51Speaker 12: all the science.
- 1:11:52Speaker 12: All the Victoria's Secrets.
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: Let's kick off this whale.
- 1:11:55Speaker 12: What is this?
- 1:11:56Nora: All right, we're getting ready to measure here
- 1:11:58Nora: our leaf for today's whale.
- 1:11:59Nora: Victoria's Secret's because they're
- 1:12:00Nora: Victoria Longwood hybrids.
- 1:12:01Video: That's what they do to the plant.
- 1:12:02Video: All right, we've got 63 inches.
- 1:12:04Video: What is that highly specialized scientific tool they have,
- 1:12:07Speaker 12: Carl?
- 1:12:07Speaker 12: It's a tape measure, Kenny.
- 1:12:09Speaker 12: Wow, science.
- 1:12:11Speaker 12: Tensions rising.
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:12:14Speaker 12: Way to go, Kenny.
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: --disc is placed on the leaf.
- 1:12:17Speaker 12: The first 25-pound weight is going on.
- 1:12:20Speaker 12: 50 pounds total, and this leaf is holding steady.
- 1:12:24Speaker 12: Kenny, talk to me about the stakes here.
- 1:12:26Speaker 12: Absolutely, Carl.
- 1:12:27Speaker 12: You want provolone or whiz?
- 1:12:29Speaker 12: I mean the competition, Kenny.
- 1:12:31Speaker 12: What's on the line?
- 1:12:32Speaker 12: Not lunch.
- 1:12:33Speaker 12: Then why bring up cheesesteaks at all?
- 1:12:35Speaker 12: I didn't.
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: Feels like you did.
- 1:12:37Speaker 12: We are now at 90 pounds, folks.
- 1:12:40Speaker 12: That weighs more than the collective expectations
- 1:12:43Speaker 12: of Sixers fans.
- 1:12:44Speaker 12: Welcome, LeBron.
- 1:12:45Speaker 12: And there it is.
- 1:12:46Speaker 12: We've officially surpassed-
- 1:12:47Speaker 12: Quartz Joe.
- 1:12:48Speaker 12: I don't get it.
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: Yeah, I know.
- 1:12:49Speaker 12: Probably a Pennsylvania joke.
- 1:12:51Speaker 12: I can finally stop screaming 165 in my sleep.
- 1:12:54Speaker 12: That's concerning.
- 1:12:56Speaker 12: (laughing)
- 1:12:57Video: 190 pounds!
- 1:12:58Speaker 12: Oh, 190?
- 1:12:59Speaker 12: Folks, that clears last year's winning weight
- 1:13:01Speaker 12: of 183 pounds.
- 1:13:04Video: I think we're hitting it.
- 1:13:05Video: I think we're there.
- 1:13:06Speaker 12: And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:13:08Speaker 12: the moment we've all been waiting for.
- 1:13:10Speaker 12: That's right, Carl.
- 1:13:11Speaker 12: The official weight of the long-witted entry
- 1:13:13Speaker 12: is about to be announced.
- 1:13:15Video: Hear ye, hear ye.
- 1:13:16Chris: Oh my God.
- 1:13:18Chris: Amazing.
- 1:13:19Video: By order of the official Waterlily Way Off, it is hereby declared that Longwood Gardens
- 1:13:25Video: shall hereby enter the weight of 250 pounds.
- 1:13:29Video: What?
- 1:13:30Video: It can't be!
- 1:13:32Video: Nah, I'm just messing.
- 1:13:34Video: It was 210.
- 1:13:35Video: 210?
- 1:13:36Chris: Wow.
- 1:13:37Chris: That's pretty good.
- 1:13:39Chris: Is that our current leader?
- 1:13:43Nora: I think so, yes.
- 1:13:45Speaker 12: You can't ask for more than that.
- 1:13:47Speaker 12: We cannot wait for the most important announcement of the year.
- 1:13:50Speaker 12: Will Bok Tower hold on to the title?
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: There's only one way to find out.
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: Stay tuned for the official results from Denver Botanic Gardens.
- 1:13:57Speaker 12: Until then, stay buoyant everybody.
- 1:14:02Nora: So, we have one more.
- 1:14:04Chris: Okay, that one was awesome.
- 1:14:06Chris: I was a little concerned when I saw the length of it, but they really made it work.
- 1:14:11Nora: Yeah.
- 1:14:11Nora: So, the most of these, so, like I chose the ones that like felt like they put the most
- 1:14:16Nora: amount of work in their videos and like you know put some effort in but also the
- 1:14:19Nora: big lily pads because I didn't want to bore you guys. One more, Kew Gardens in
- 1:14:24Nora: London is really they're bringing the competition this year so let's watch
- 1:14:30Nora: this one.
- 1:14:31Video: Time for the Water Lily Weigh Off!
- 1:14:41Video: This here is Victoria Boliviana the largest of the three species of giant
- 1:14:45Video: Amazonian water lily. So we're reaching
- 1:14:50Video: 207
- 1:14:51Video: Centimeters in diameter. Let's see how much this water lily can take. Let's go. Okay, put that in American for me. Yeah
- 1:14:58Charles: Yeah, let's pause it. Let's pause it. We gotta
- 1:15:02Nora: Some of us are too pretty for math
- 1:15:05Nora: 81 and a half inches
- 1:15:14Chris: That's the measurement I always say as well
- 1:15:19Video: Weighs four kilograms, so we've decided to change things up a little bit compared to
- 1:15:24Video: We are going for an English delicacy
- 1:15:31Nora: Shut your whore mouth just hold them everybody knows that American baked beans are better. I mean still gross
- 1:15:40Chris: What if they're what if they're covered in dr. Pepper?
- 1:15:43Chris: (laughing)
- 1:15:45Video: Got 29 boxes, I think we've reached the tipping point,
- 1:15:48Video: so we're gonna call it here.
- 1:15:50Video: We're gonna have a shot at seeing if we can get
- 1:15:52Video: some human weight on one of these other lily pads here.
- 1:15:55Video: (drum roll)
- 1:15:58Video: Hey!
- 1:16:00Video: That's cool!
- 1:16:01Video: Wow!
- 1:16:02Video: First human.
- 1:16:03Video: 102 kilograms total weight, and it's still holding.
- 1:16:06Video: Good luck to all competitors.
- 1:16:08Chris: So 224.9 pounds, is that the winner?
- 1:16:11Nora: So far, yes.
- 1:16:13Chris: No.
- 1:16:14Mandy: It's taken a water.
- 1:16:16Nora: Wow.
- 1:16:17Nora: OK.
- 1:16:18Nora: So those were the entries that I picked this week.
- 1:16:22Nora: I will let you guys know who wins next week
- 1:16:24Nora: with the top entries.
- 1:16:26Nora: But that won't be a main topic.
- 1:16:28Nora: It'll just be a little announcement of who wins.
- 1:16:32Nora: But yeah, I hope you all enjoyed the Water Lily Way Off.
- 1:16:36Nora: They are incredibly impressive this year.
- 1:16:39Nora: And I just want to be a fairy on a lily pad.
- 1:16:42Nora: Just want to bring my book and sit there with some tea
- 1:16:45Nora: and sit on a lily pad.
- 1:16:47Mandy: Before we move on to the next one-
- 1:16:49Mandy: Oh, goodness.
- 1:16:50Charles: Yeah, I was like, what's with the sound effects?
- 1:16:52Mandy: Excuse me.
- 1:16:53Mandy: What did we think of the actor's baking?
- 1:16:57Mandy: Delicious.
- 1:16:57Mandy: It's pretty good.
- 1:16:58Mandy: Good job.
- 1:16:59Mandy: Good job, Chris.
- 1:17:00Charles: Thanks, guys.
- 1:17:01Charles: Yeah, you did a really good job, dude.
- 1:17:04Chris: Considering it's the second thing I've ever baked
- 1:17:07Chris: and the first one was an absolute disaster,
- 1:17:10Chris: I'm pretty happy.
- 1:17:12Charles: And now there's tasty treats.
- 1:17:14Charles: That's the thing about baking.
- 1:17:16Charles: It's you get a tasty treat after the fact.
- 1:17:20Charles: Assuming you are successful.
- 1:17:22Mandy: And assuming you want to eat things
- 1:17:24Mandy: after you've made them, 'cause that doesn't work for me.
- 1:17:26Chris: Yeah, 'cause I mean, that's one thing is like,
- 1:17:28Chris: I did not try this at all.
- 1:17:30Chris: I just made it and brought it here.
- 1:17:32Charles: Yeah, see for me, I make a loaf of bread
- 1:17:35Charles: and then I immediately want to eat the entire thing.
- 1:17:37Charles: So I don't have that problem.
- 1:17:40Nora: I have eaten probably a third of my loaf here.
- 1:17:43Nora: So I'm making good progress here.
- 1:17:46Charles: That's wild.
- 1:17:47Mandy: I love that.
- 1:17:48Mandy: I love that.
- 1:17:49Mandy: Can you save a piece?
- 1:17:50Mandy: I'd like to try it.
- 1:17:51Mandy: Yeah, sure.
- 1:17:52Charles: (laughing)
- 1:17:52Charles: So we went to wrestling.
- 1:17:54Charles: We did.
- 1:17:54Charles: We did. - Wrestling.
- 1:17:55Charles: Okay, so I've got some conversation points.
- 1:18:02Charles: So-
- 1:18:02Nora: And Chris, I threw some pictures in there
- 1:18:04Nora: if you want to use those.
- 1:18:06Charles: I can pull them up.
- 1:18:07Nora: Either one of you.
- 1:18:08Charles: Okay.
- 1:18:08Charles: I can pull them up.
- 1:18:09Nora: Okay.
- 1:18:11Charles: So starting right off the top,
- 1:18:13Charles: Chris and I originally went to wrestling,
- 1:18:17Charles: what was it, last month?
- 1:18:19Charles: A couple months ago, yeah, I think.
- 1:18:20Charles: Couple months ago at this point.
- 1:18:22Charles: And then this one was announced as,
- 1:18:24Charles: what was the title?
- 1:18:26Charles: The pin-
- 1:18:27Charles: This is the pin of a killer.
- 1:18:28Charles: This is the pin of a killer,
- 1:18:30Charles: which is Twilight themed.
- 1:18:32Chris: Theory at least because as we have come to realize the theme titles don't actually mean anything, right?
- 1:18:39Mandy: Right, they did play some of the soundtrack from Twilight
- 1:18:45Charles: The opener the first wrestler who came out came out to muse and I was like
- 1:18:50Charles: Oh, so this is gonna be themed and then nothing really else. Yeah
- 1:18:55Charles: Which was disappointing. I do
- 1:18:58Charles: Have a note in here to kind of complain about Mandy
- 1:19:16Charles: We all drove together
- 1:19:19Charles: All all five of us four of us and Laura
- 1:19:23Charles: And we all went together and then from like moments like 15 minutes into an over an hour and a half
- 1:19:31Charles: drive
- 1:19:32Charles: Mandy's like are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
- 1:19:37Nora: It was like in the car. It was literally like in the car levels
- 1:19:41Chris: Clear this is not a bit. This is just what Mandy. No, this is just me
- 1:19:46Nora: She's a kid in the car. Yeah
- 1:19:48Charles: Every single time we passed an exit Mandy's like can we go there instead?
- 1:19:54Charles: That's true. - I don't wanna do this anymore.
- 1:19:55Chris: We almost went to Boondocks Fun Center.
- 1:19:58Mandy: We did not. - And Texas Roadhouse.
- 1:19:59Mandy: That could have been the answer.
- 1:20:00Mandy: We wouldn't have been stuck in traffic.
- 1:20:01Chris: We also almost went to Texas Roadhouse,
- 1:20:04Chris: which was down the street.
- 1:20:05Mandy: Perfect evening, perfect evening.
- 1:20:07Mandy: Boondocks, Texas Roadhouse.
- 1:20:08Chris: So, Miby, can you explain your theory here?
- 1:20:11Mandy: Okay, first of all, I have ADHD, right?
- 1:20:14Mandy: And I do have, I am scared of getting stuck in traffic.
- 1:20:17Mandy: Like, legitimately, it's a panic disorder.
- 1:20:19Mandy: I usually drug myself and have to distract myself.
- 1:20:22Mandy: And then, on top of that, what barbarian
- 1:20:25Mandy: doesn't play loud music while you're driving in the car
- 1:20:28Mandy: to distract?
- 1:20:29Mandy: Oh, this is something that Mandy does.
- 1:20:31Nora: She has a car that plays music over the road noise,
- 1:20:35Nora: and so she doesn't hear anything
- 1:20:37Nora: that's happening in the car ever.
- 1:20:39Nora: Except music.
- 1:20:40Nora: Which I think is a choice.
- 1:20:44Nora: (laughing)
- 1:20:45Chris: Yeah, some of us don't have a fancy car
- 1:20:48Chris: that automatically raises and lowers the volume accordingly
- 1:20:51Chris: to block out the road noise.
- 1:20:53Chris: Also, I was kind of hoping that I could, I don't know,
- 1:20:56Chris: talk to my friends who were in the car.
- 1:20:59Chris: (laughing)
- 1:20:59Chris: For two hours?
- 1:21:01Video: Oh my god.
- 1:21:02Nora: When I rode with Mandy-
- 1:21:02Nora: I realize now that I'm a monster for thinking that.
- 1:21:05Nora: Chris, when I rode with Mandy to Wyoming,
- 1:21:07Nora: I go, "Hey, can you turn down the music a little?"
- 1:21:08Nora: She's like, "I'm not being an asshole.
- 1:21:10Nora: "I just like it like this."
- 1:21:12Nora: (laughing)
- 1:21:14Nora: It all covers the road noise.
- 1:21:15Nora: But that means I couldn't hear anybody talk.
- 1:21:18Mandy: In all fairness, it's a setting,
- 1:21:19Mandy: like the car comes without setting, like the car is set that way.
- 1:21:22Mandy: I don't believe that.
- 1:21:23Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:21:24Mandy: I'm like, yeah, I'll turn it down, but I promise it's going to come back up when it decides.
- 1:21:27Mandy: Because road noise?
- 1:21:28Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:21:28Nora: I was taught, as somebody learning to drive, who learned to drive within the last 15 years,
- 1:21:33Nora: I was taught to listen to the road.
- 1:21:35Nora: Like that's important.
- 1:21:36Nora: Like what am I going to do about it?
- 1:21:37Nora: Nothing.
- 1:21:38Nora: Turn the music down?
- 1:21:40Mandy: It'll turn itself back up.
- 1:21:43Charles: What drugs do I need to bring next time I'm in a car with you?
- 1:21:47Mandy: So I have my own Klonopin that's prescribed for traveling.
- 1:21:52Charles: Got it, got it.
- 1:21:53Mandy: But so.
- 1:21:54Mandy: (laughing)
- 1:21:54Mandy: The problem is there's side effects.
- 1:21:57Mandy: No, that I no longer care about anything I'm doing.
- 1:22:00Mandy: Which is already a stretch.
- 1:22:00Mandy: Right.
- 1:22:00Mandy: So she doesn't enjoy.
- 1:22:02Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:22:03Mandy: When we get there.
- 1:22:04Mandy: But that's what I was saying.
- 1:22:05Mandy: Remember last week or the week before when I mentioned
- 1:22:08Mandy: like went on a road trip with Nora
- 1:22:09Mandy: and she was just so happy and even keeled the whole time
- 1:22:12Mandy: and I mentioned how I'm not like that?
- 1:22:14Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:22:15Mandy: There you go, there you go.
- 1:22:17Nora: Yeah, but I think that is more talks about how...
- 1:22:23Nora: I wouldn't say Mandy's high maintenance, but I would say...
- 1:22:26Chris: She's so high maintenance.
- 1:22:28Chris: She admits how high maintenance she is.
- 1:22:30Mandy: That's why my hair is like this.
- 1:22:32Mandy: I want people to know how high maintenance I am from the start, just from appearance alone.
- 1:22:36Mandy: And I'm not as high maintenance as that.
- 1:22:39Charles: We went and got food and somebody complimented Mandy's hair.
- 1:22:42Charles: It was like, "Oh, do you do that yourself?"
- 1:22:47Mandy: I think the phrase is, I pay a lot of money.
- 1:22:51Mandy: (laughing)
- 1:22:55Mandy: Y'all, it is 600 plus dollars every time I get my hair done.
- 1:22:59Mandy: Well, it looks good.
- 1:23:01Mandy: Worth it.
- 1:23:01Mandy: It's the time.
- 1:23:02Charles: I pay so much money, more than you do, Mandy.
- 1:23:04Chris: (laughing)
- 1:23:05Chris: You think you know high maintenance?
- 1:23:08Chris: Meet Mandy.
- 1:23:08Mandy: Hi.
- 1:23:09Mandy: Hi.
- 1:23:10Mandy: I have lots of mental issues that require,
- 1:23:13Mandy: my friends call it the mental illness tax,
- 1:23:15Charles: And that's what it so yeah driving driving down the Mandy tax - on the nose
- 1:23:21Charles: How is Mandy how was the drive back for you? It was a pretty simple drive
- 1:23:28Mandy: It wasn't in the heat we weren't stopping go traffic, and we I wasn't feeling trapped
- 1:23:32Mandy: So my issue is I don't do well when I feel trapped I tend to have panic attacks
- 1:23:36Mandy: Yeah, and the only way to get me from not doing that is to distract me. Yeah, I think you did pretty well
- 1:23:45Mandy: Cooking aside, yeah, I know I'm terrible.
- 1:23:48Chris: (laughing)
- 1:23:50Chris: Having just gone through this with her the week prior,
- 1:23:53Chris: I think she did pretty well.
- 1:23:55Mandy: Like I told you all, my husband has a toy
- 1:23:58Mandy: that he breaks out and it's only allowed,
- 1:23:59Mandy: like, well that sounds bad.
- 1:24:01Mandy: He has a toy he breaks out.
- 1:24:02Speaker 12: (laughing)
- 1:24:02Speaker 12: Damn.
- 1:24:04Speaker 12: Welcome to Vibe Check After Dark, y'all.
- 1:24:07Video: Hell yeah.
- 1:24:09Video: Sometimes you just gotta bring out the toys.
- 1:24:12Mandy: No, there's a fidget toy for preschoolers,
- 1:24:14Mandy: like it's shaped like a teddy bear.
- 1:24:16Mandy: And so like that is a toy that if we're stuck in traffic,
- 1:24:18Mandy: he's like, here you go, distraction.
- 1:24:20Mandy: And I make it through.
- 1:24:22Nora: So fidgets, bring fidgets too.
- 1:24:24Charles: Okay.
- 1:24:24Nora: Yeah.
- 1:24:25Nora: I have some good pop, I have a popping spinner.
- 1:24:27Nora: Yeah.
- 1:24:28Nora: It's a fidget spinner,
- 1:24:29Nora: but each of the holes pops in and out.
- 1:24:32Mandy: I think Mandy would like that one.
- 1:24:33Mandy: This one lights up in patterns
- 1:24:35Mandy: and you have to push the popping things down.
- 1:24:36Charles: Oh yeah.
- 1:24:37Mandy: It lights up.
- 1:24:38Charles: Didn't we also learn this week
- 1:24:39Charles: that Mandy hates board games?
- 1:24:41Charles: Yes.
- 1:24:41Nora: I'm not a big fan either.
- 1:24:43Nora: It's the ADHD, but I also played board games
- 1:24:46Nora: with an asshole in college,
- 1:24:48Nora: and so it really kinda ruined it for me.
- 1:24:49Charles: So we couldn't bring a game with us for you to play?
- 1:24:53Charles: Not really. - Like Mad Libs or something?
- 1:24:55Chris: It would have to be, I think, one of those things
- 1:24:58Chris: where you spot something that's passing by.
- 1:25:00Mandy: 'Cause I get motion sick too,
- 1:25:02Mandy: which is what compounds this problem.
- 1:25:04Mandy: 'Cause I'm stuck in the car knowing I get car sick,
- 1:25:06Mandy: and then it's a whole spiral.
- 1:25:08Chris: On top of that, we're all packed into the car,
- 1:25:11Chris: three people in the back seat and Charles is like,
- 1:25:14Chris: "Oh, my hip hurts."
- 1:25:15Video: It starts hurting.
- 1:25:16Video: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:25:17Nora: Oh no, your hip hurts.
- 1:25:18Nora: Charles' hip starts going.
- 1:25:21Nora: And listen, all I wanna-
- 1:25:23Chris: Basically, folks, we're old.
- 1:25:24Nora: All I wanna do on a Friday night
- 1:25:26Nora: is take a nap with my dog on the couch.
- 1:25:28Nora: That's literally all I wanna do on a Friday night.
- 1:25:31Nora: So like, it was commitment for me
- 1:25:34Nora: to come out for a whole six hours on a Friday night.
- 1:25:37Nora: I did have fun.
- 1:25:39Nora: I was done by intermission.
- 1:25:41Chris: You got to see things like this.
- 1:25:42Nora: Mm-hmm.
- 1:25:43Nora: That was the worst one.
- 1:25:45Video: I loved it, it was so dumb.
- 1:25:48Video: That one was so dumb.
- 1:25:49Video: Oh my God.
- 1:25:50Video: Show us your Dapper Dan.
- 1:25:51Nora: So Frightmare would do this, he'd go, ugh,
- 1:25:54Nora: and then Anaya would act really, really scared,
- 1:25:58Nora: and it was just, ugh, that's all he did, and that's it.
- 1:26:02Charles: That's so, that one-
- 1:26:06Charles: Very Lucha Libre.
- 1:26:06Charles: Was so comical and just so silly,
- 1:26:10Charles: I was just like, I don't know.
- 1:26:12Nora: I thought Anaya could get it too.
- 1:26:14Charles: So OK, let's take a step back, talking about the venue,
- 1:26:18Charles: because we had some complaints about the venue.
- 1:26:21Nora: Yeah, it was the hottest place that I've ever-
- 1:26:23Nora: and the sweatiest, stinkiest place by the end.
- 1:26:26Nora: Holy god.
- 1:26:27Mandy: We took a little survey during intermission
- 1:26:32Mandy: about how many of us are on SSRIs
- 1:26:34Mandy: and cannot control our body temperatures.
- 1:26:36Mandy: And the answer is pretty much all of us.
- 1:26:38Video: All alert, everyone. - All five of us.
- 1:26:40Video: Yeah.
- 1:26:41Nora: And we're sitting there, and like,
- 1:26:43Nora: so we were in this old theater
- 1:26:45Nora: that used to be a movie theater
- 1:26:46Nora: that was probably built in the '20s,
- 1:26:48Nora: and they have the wrestling up on the stage
- 1:26:50Nora: kind of in front of us, like up here,
- 1:26:53Nora: and so they were very like up there,
- 1:26:56Nora: but then you could also, like,
- 1:26:57Nora: the sweat would like fly at you,
- 1:26:59Nora: and so it was humid, and it was hot,
- 1:27:01Nora: and there was no air conditioning,
- 1:27:03Nora: and it was stifling by the end.
- 1:27:06Nora: Like, it was hot. - It was bad.
- 1:27:07Nora: And there were, so there's people exercising, right?
- 1:27:10Nora: Wrestling is exercise.
- 1:27:13Nora: But they were all sitting there sweating.
- 1:27:14Nora: So it was just a cesspool of just sweat.
- 1:27:16Nora: It was just so much BO.
- 1:27:17Chris: I've seen a few shows there,
- 1:27:20Chris: a few wrestling shows at that venue,
- 1:27:22Chris: and it is not normally as hot.
- 1:27:24Chris: I was surprised how like hot and sweaty and gross it was.
- 1:27:28Nora: To be fair, it was 99 degrees that day in Denver.
- 1:27:31Nora: So I think that definitely contributed, but like.
- 1:27:35Chris: Holy shit.
- 1:27:35Chris: It was so fucking hot.
- 1:27:36Chris: It was bad, it was bad.
- 1:27:37Chris: You are right on the money, Nora.
- 1:27:38Chris: The Oriental Theater in Denver was built in 1927,
- 1:27:43Chris: and it is on the National Register of Historic Places,
- 1:27:45Chris: which means you can't change too much about the building.
- 1:27:48Nora: You can't add an air conditioner.
- 1:27:48Chris: Things like adding air conditioning.
- 1:27:51Chris: That's insane.
- 1:27:54Chris: But if we set aside the arduous trek down there,
- 1:27:59Chris: the issues with car sickness and attention issues
- 1:28:03Chris: and the pain of sitting in the car and the heat.
- 1:28:08Chris: What did everyone think?
- 1:28:09Nora: I mean, once we got there, we had a pretty good time.
- 1:28:11Nora: We ate across the street at what, the Gnarly Gnome?
- 1:28:14Charles: The Gnarly Gnome, yep.
- 1:28:16Nora: It was adorable.
- 1:28:17Nora: Was it the Gnarly Gnome, or was it something else?
- 1:28:18Charles: They had like 100 different sandwiches you choose.
- 1:28:21Charles: You give them a number, be like, what sandwich do you want?
- 1:28:24Charles: I want the five.
- 1:28:25Nora: I want number 46, please.
- 1:28:28Nora: But they were good.
- 1:28:29Nora: They were good sandwiches.
- 1:28:30Nora: So we had some disco fries, which
- 1:28:32Nora: was their version of poutine.
- 1:28:34Nora: And then right in the middle of it, a grateful gnome.
- 1:28:36Nora: I knew it wasn't the gnarly.
- 1:28:38Nora: I knew it was grateful.
- 1:28:40Charles: Apparently, you knew that.
- 1:28:42Charles: I knew it wasn't gnarly.
- 1:28:44Mandy: So apparently, outside, they have a giant 12-foot gnome
- 1:28:47Mandy: statue.
- 1:28:48Chris: That Mandy didn't notice until after the event when
- 1:28:53Chris: we were walking to the car.
- 1:28:55Nora: Oh, there's a gnome over there.
- 1:28:56Nora: Oh, there's a big gnome there.
- 1:28:58Nora: Yeah, we ate there, Mandy.
- 1:29:00Nora: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:29:00Charles: We walked next to it.
- 1:29:03Charles: We literally ate there.
- 1:29:04Charles: Yeah.
- 1:29:06Nora: You're welcome.
- 1:29:08Nora: And then the football game started
- 1:29:10Nora: right when we were in there.
- 1:29:10Nora: Oh, it was so loud.
- 1:29:11Nora: And it turns out, I think I was the only one who
- 1:29:13Nora: knew how to watch football.
- 1:29:15Nora: Or wanted to.
- 1:29:16Chris: I mean, I know how to watch football.
- 1:29:18Chris: I just didn't care.
- 1:29:18Nora: I mean, if you know how to watch football, you turn it off.
- 1:29:22Nora: And leave the room.
- 1:29:25Nora: And then once we got to the show, we got seats.
- 1:29:28Nora: It was really good seats.
- 1:29:29Nora: There were like six different matches.
- 1:29:31Mandy: No, wait, Larry in the comments said
- 1:29:33Mandy: that they got sick from the no many times.
- 1:29:37Mandy: Oh no.
- 1:29:38Mandy: No.
- 1:29:39Chris: Wait, wait, wait, he also says, "It is tasty though."
- 1:29:42Nora: I'm glad we didn't know that before we went.
- 1:29:45Nora: No.
- 1:29:47Nora: (laughing)
- 1:29:47Nora: It was lovely though.
- 1:29:49Nora: Mandy, were these our favorites?
- 1:29:51Mandy: Yeah, 'cause-
- 1:29:52Mandy: Big man.
- 1:29:53Mandy: I found out I had a thing for Tom Selleck
- 1:29:56Mandy: that I didn't know I had beforehand.
- 1:29:58Chris: A dormant Tom Selleck thing.
- 1:30:00Mandy: Yeah, and now I know I do.
- 1:30:03Mandy: Thank goodness.
- 1:30:04Mandy: So learned some things about myself.
- 1:30:05Nora: Yeah, both of us were,
- 1:30:07Nora: our jaws were kind of on the floor
- 1:30:08Nora: when the big men came down.
- 1:30:10Nora: Both of us were sitting there like,
- 1:30:11Video: "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh."
- 1:30:14Video: "And the, the."
- 1:30:15Mandy: Look, I normally prefer my men like teeny tiny,
- 1:30:18Mandy: little thin sticks that I can overtake and overpower.
- 1:30:21Chris: This photo is kind of misleading
- 1:30:23Chris: because they look of equal height,
- 1:30:25Chris: But what you don't see, if the camera
- 1:30:27Chris: were to pull out further, these guys are like seven feet tall.
- 1:30:30Chris: Both of them.
- 1:30:31Chris: They are enormous people.
- 1:30:33Chris: Yeah.
- 1:30:33Nora: They're huge.
- 1:30:35Nora: They are big men.
- 1:30:36Nora: And this, the dack, he wrestled in jeans for half of it,
- 1:30:40Nora: or 3/4 of it.
- 1:30:41Chris: Yeah, he always wrestles in these pull-away jeans.
- 1:30:44Mandy: I didn't know they were pull-away.
- 1:30:45Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:30:46Mandy: So funny.
- 1:30:46Mandy: Take it off.
- 1:30:47Mandy: Take it off.
- 1:30:48Mandy: And I was like, ooh, OK.
- 1:30:49Mandy: I support your ask.
- 1:30:51Mandy: And I was like, but I was like, are we sexualizing them
- 1:30:53Mandy: when we're not supposed to be?
- 1:30:54Mandy: No.
- 1:30:55Mandy: And then he rips it off and they're like little tidy whities with like glitter on them in sequence. I was like, okay, yeah, we're cool
- 1:31:01Nora: That one was a really good one
- 1:31:02Charles: I was here's he did he did a fake away where he he had a button-up shirt that he ripped off and there was
- 1:31:10Charles: Another button-up shirt underneath it. I was expecting him to do the same thing with the pants where he rips off his pants
- 1:31:17Charles: There's another pair of jeans
- 1:31:20Charles: And I was very disappointed
- 1:31:21Nora: He wasn't wrestling in two pairs of jeans.
- 1:31:23Nora: Two pairs of jeans.
- 1:31:26Video: Yes.
- 1:31:27Video: Mid-pull right there.
- 1:31:27Video: I was like, yes, there we go.
- 1:31:30Charles: That is a-- wait, hold on.
- 1:31:32Charles: This dude-
- 1:31:33Charles: Can we show this?
- 1:31:34Charles: Because is that his ball?
- 1:31:36Charles: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:31:38Chris: It's fine, Charles.
- 1:31:39Nora: It's whatever.
- 1:31:40Chris: Here, there-
- 1:31:40Nora: Yeah.
- 1:31:42Nora: That's who I picture when I read Dungeon Crawler Carl.
- 1:31:45Nora: Who is-- that's who I picture as Carl.
- 1:31:46Chris: Yeah, that wrestler, he always does the shtick
- 1:31:49Chris: where he pulls the pants off.
- 1:31:50Chris: And for a second, I almost spoiled it
- 1:31:53Chris: and told you guys ahead of time,
- 1:31:54Chris: but I thought, no, you need to experience this
- 1:31:56Chris: as it happens.
- 1:31:57Mandy: I appreciated that.
- 1:31:59Nora: I think that one was probably my favorite.
- 1:32:01Nora: Same.
- 1:32:01Nora: But I did like the gay one,
- 1:32:03Nora: and then I also liked the last one, I think.
- 1:32:05Mandy: My thing is, do we, oh, that answers the question.
- 1:32:08Mandy: I was gonna say, do we enjoy the ones
- 1:32:09Mandy: that just happened earlier in the night?
- 1:32:11Mandy: Is that what you're saying?
- 1:32:11Nora: I did, I liked Abaddon.
- 1:32:12Nora: I liked watching Abaddon wrestle.
- 1:32:15Charles: Abaddon is-- - They're amazing.
- 1:32:16Charles: Is very talented at what they do.
- 1:32:19Charles: And they kind of go like really hardcore with it,
- 1:32:23Charles: which is really awesome.
- 1:32:24Charles: And then, yeah, holy shit.
- 1:32:26Nora: This is Abadon at the beginning.
- 1:32:28Nora: Just like, just oozing the hotness.
- 1:32:33Nora: (laughing)
- 1:32:34Chris: Yeah, Abadon is extremely talented.
- 1:32:37Chris: She used to wrestle for AEW,
- 1:32:39Chris: which is like the kind of smaller company
- 1:32:41Chris: compared to WWE, which is the leader in the industry.
- 1:32:44Chris: But she has a great character.
- 1:32:46Chris: She has a great look.
- 1:32:47Chris: She moves really well and she brought it.
- 1:32:51Chris: She fought against Priscilla Kelly,
- 1:32:53Chris: who also used to wrestle for WWE and is incredibly talented.
- 1:32:58Chris: One thing that I thought was a little odd
- 1:33:00Chris: was at the start of that match,
- 1:33:03Chris: and thankfully we don't have any pictures of it,
- 1:33:05Chris: but at the start of that match,
- 1:33:06Chris: there was a whole lot of like,
- 1:33:08Chris: gyrating in the pelvic area.
- 1:33:10Mandy: Oh no, there was, there was-
- 1:33:12Nora: What, Priscilla rubbing her hands down there?
- 1:33:16Nora: (laughing)
- 1:33:17Nora: Yeah.
- 1:33:17Chris: Yeah, there was-
- 1:33:18Chris: Help yourself before you help a friend.
- 1:33:21Chris: That was a bit much.
- 1:33:24Mandy: Just, I want warnings, right?
- 1:33:26Mandy: Like, I need to know what's coming up, right?
- 1:33:28Charles: Right.
- 1:33:28Mandy: Give me a warning.
- 1:33:29Charles: Which we kind of learned
- 1:33:31Charles: that they don't really practice beforehand.
- 1:33:34Nora: Yeah, because one of them went on for so long.
- 1:33:39Nora: Like, so long.
- 1:33:40Chris: Like, so long.
- 1:33:41Chris: There was one match that went probably-
- 1:33:44Nora: And then Mandy went to the bathroom
- 1:33:45Nora: and then we stood out there and talked.
- 1:33:47Nora: for a while and then we talked to one of the other wrestlers and then we were still watching it and
- 1:33:53Nora: then it was done. Like it was really long. Yeah there was one match that went on for for a good
- 1:33:58Chris: while and part of that was because one of the wrestlers involved in that match was Canadian
- 1:34:04Chris: and he had gotten to the venue maybe 20 minutes not before the show but before their match and
- 1:34:12Chris: and their match was about in the middle of the show.
- 1:34:14Chris: So they didn't really have any time to prepare.
- 1:34:17Chris: They didn't really have time to kind of work out
- 1:34:19Chris: what they were going to do.
- 1:34:20Chris: They just went out there and did it.
- 1:34:22Chris: And it was clearly like something
- 1:34:23Chris: that was important to both of them.
- 1:34:25Chris: So it did kind of sag in the middle.
- 1:34:28Chris: But the beginning and the end of the match were great.
- 1:34:30Chris: It was just-- you know, it just kind of went on a little long.
- 1:34:33Chris: Yeah.
- 1:34:34Nora: We did see somebody's bare ass, too.
- 1:34:37Chris: Oh, yeah, Effie.
- 1:34:39Chris: Effie, who's-
- 1:34:40Chris: He totally mooned us multiple times.
- 1:34:41Chris: Big character gimmick is that he's gay.
- 1:34:44Chris: Yeah, that's his thing.
- 1:34:47Chris: Effie.
- 1:34:48Charles: Everybody was so like into it though.
- 1:34:51Nora: Uh-huh.
- 1:34:51Nora: People love Effie, he's a fan favorite.
- 1:34:53Charles: What?
- 1:34:54Nora: The mooning?
- 1:34:55Nora: Or Effie in general?
- 1:34:55Nora: Everybody loved Effie.
- 1:34:56Nora: Effie was great.
- 1:34:57Nora: Yeah.
- 1:34:58Nora: And Big Daddy Moe was pretty good too.
- 1:34:59Nora: And I really liked Lilith.
- 1:35:00Nora: I liked the bit where she had the iron tits
- 1:35:04Nora: where Effie's hands got stuck in her boobs.
- 1:35:06Nora: That one was good.
- 1:35:09Charles: (laughing)
- 1:35:09Charles: when she, so she grabs, has this giant like Thor's hammer
- 1:35:14Charles: that she jumped up and onto the stage with
- 1:35:18Charles: and landed the hammer on the ground
- 1:35:19Charles: and everybody flew out of the ring.
- 1:35:21Charles: It was awesome.
- 1:35:23Charles: It was really good.
- 1:35:24Nora: And whenever I do these, whenever I go to these things,
- 1:35:26Nora: I'm like, could I do that?
- 1:35:27Nora: And I think for wrestling, I could not.
- 1:35:31Mandy: No, I agree.
- 1:35:32Mandy: The cleavage of death was kind of my favorite thing.
- 1:35:35Mandy: That was awesome.
- 1:35:36Mandy: That was kind of amazing.
- 1:35:37Mandy: When you have it,
- 1:35:38Mandy: stuff that gets stuck there all the time. I did appreciate that move.
- 1:35:51Nora: Yeah I thought it was it was really fun. I think I could have I definitely yeah
- 1:35:55Nora: there's Effie. I think I could have I wish that my favorite ones were the only
- 1:36:04Mandy: It's that short attention span, man.
- 1:36:06Mandy: Like you've got me for 15 minutes, better make it good.
- 1:36:09Mandy: Yeah, but I really, I enjoyed it.
- 1:36:11Chris: Just be glad that this was not like a televised event.
- 1:36:14Chris: 'Cause if you go to a show from like one of the bigger
- 1:36:17Chris: companies, they will often do one show live
- 1:36:21Chris: and one show tape and do them back to back.
- 1:36:23Chris: And you are there for four plus hours.
- 1:36:26Mandy: No, no, no.
- 1:36:27Mandy: No, thank you.
- 1:36:28Mandy: You're not holding me hostage.
- 1:36:30Nora: I can go to Boondocks and do it.
- 1:36:33Nora: Right, Mandy and I will drive separate,
- 1:36:35Nora: we'll meet you there, or not.
- 1:36:37Chris: I would not have subjected you to this.
- 1:36:40Chris: One thing, one of the reasons that I thought
- 1:36:43Chris: this would be fun for everyone was because
- 1:36:44Chris: I knew it was a relatively short,
- 1:36:47Chris: in terms of wrestling experience,
- 1:36:51Chris: compared to some of the other stuff you could go to.
- 1:36:52Chris: And even by those standards, they ran long.
- 1:36:55Chris: The show that Charles and I went to,
- 1:36:57Chris: I think it was maybe two hours?
- 1:36:59Charles: Yeah, it was significantly shorter than this one.
- 1:37:01Charles: Ours was a full three hours.
- 1:37:03Mandy: Said that Effie has a nice tribute of Tim Curry today.
- 1:37:07Mandy: Oh, I bet.
- 1:37:09Chris: I'll have to find that.
- 1:37:11Chris: Here's the only footage that I shot.
- 1:37:13Chris: This was during the main event.
- 1:37:15Chris: So this is Abaddon and Priscilla Kelly
- 1:37:17Chris: and they were fighting into the crowd.
- 1:37:20Chris: There's always at least one match at one of these shows
- 1:37:22Chris: where they go into the crowd
- 1:37:24Chris: and you are literally right in the action.
- 1:37:26Chris: And I am just off camera going,
- 1:37:29Chris: Oh God, I hope they don't come near Mandy
- 1:37:31Chris: because I may have to like jump on her like a live grenade.
- 1:37:37Mandy: Protect the broken, protect the broken.
- 1:37:41Mandy: I had my cane ready to go to like block
- 1:37:43Mandy: between me and anyone else.
- 1:37:54Nora: It was really fun to-
- 1:37:56Nora: She's like, you want me to go again?
- 1:37:58Nora: Right, to have the reaction of the crowd
- 1:38:00Nora: know that you're supposed to react big.
- 1:38:03Nora: Well, and that's the thing too.
- 1:38:03Chris: 'Cause it plays in.
- 1:38:04Chris: That's the great thing about wrestling,
- 1:38:06Chris: is it's a very visceral thing,
- 1:38:08Chris: especially when you're at a small show like this,
- 1:38:10Chris: where you're literally just a few feet away
- 1:38:12Chris: from these people.
- 1:38:13Chris: It's an extremely visceral, kind of personal experience.
- 1:38:16Nora: Well, and the other thing is, it's a good chance to boo,
- 1:38:18Nora: and whenever I get the chance to boo,
- 1:38:20Nora: I'm very happy because it lets out the thing in my soul
- 1:38:22Nora: that just needs to be let out every oh so often.
- 1:38:24Mandy: My problem is I'm always cheering for the wrong person.
- 1:38:27Mandy: I'm always cheering for the other person nobody likes.
- 1:38:29Mandy: The underdog.
- 1:38:30Chris: Like, what are you doing?
- 1:38:31Chris: No, see, that's the great thing about wrestling.
- 1:38:33Chris: There is no right choice.
- 1:38:35Mandy: Oh, there is.
- 1:38:36Mandy: There's clearly a right choice.
- 1:38:37Chris: No, there isn't.
- 1:38:37Chris: You cheer for who you want, you boo who you want.
- 1:38:40Chris: Boo.
- 1:38:40Mandy: It's clear that there are crowd winners
- 1:38:43Mandy: and crowd losers.
- 1:38:44Charles: There are, but that's a choice that's up to you.
- 1:38:47Charles: It's true.
- 1:38:48Charles: Did you like the fuckboys, Logan and Chad,
- 1:38:52Charles: or whatever his name is?
- 1:38:53Mandy: Okay, maybe not them.
- 1:38:54Charles: Cody.
- 1:38:55Charles: His name's Cody.
- 1:38:56Mandy: I did like the t-shirt bit,
- 1:38:58Mandy: but it was hard to feel sorry for them.
- 1:39:00Charles: Oh my god, the t-shirt!
- 1:39:02Charles: Holy shit, we need to talk about this.
- 1:39:04Charles: So Logan rips off his shirt, right,
- 1:39:06Charles: and he's like, "Bleh!"
- 1:39:07Nora: He's wearing a green penny.
- 1:39:09Charles: This is before the match even started.
- 1:39:11Charles: He tosses the shit into the audience,
- 1:39:14Charles: and then they toss it right back,
- 1:39:15Charles: and so there's this whole back and forth
- 1:39:18Charles: where he tosses it back into the audience,
- 1:39:20Charles: everybody tosses it back in,
- 1:39:21Charles: and then the audience started cheering,
- 1:39:23Charles: "Fuck your shirt, fuck your shirt!"
- 1:39:26Nora: Eight or ten times like this wasn't like this was like like the audience just kept throwing it back
- 1:39:31Nora: And then they kept throwing it back at us. It was like no you're not you're losing this
- 1:39:37Mandy: I have a picture where the shirt got caught on his shoe. Yeah
- 1:39:42Charles: I was so worried that he was gonna get hurt. That's when they started wrestling and I was like
- 1:39:51Chris: Yeah, that's the great thing about wrestling is as much as the outcomes are predetermined
- 1:39:57Chris: Everything that happens in between is essentially improv, right?
- 1:40:02Chris: You know that stuff was not planned. You can't plan those sorts of things
- 1:40:05Chris: It's just very much the energy the moment that you're reacting to
- 1:40:09Nora: And the more energy that you as a crowd put in the better that the show is gonna be Laura and I were talking about
- 1:40:15Charles: This after the fact the best part about like amateur wrestling is how they help each other up
- 1:40:21Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:40:22Charles: Like, they're like, here, here,
- 1:40:24Charles: get your foot in this perfect position real quick.
- 1:40:26Mandy: Right.
- 1:40:27Mandy: So as a ballet, a former ballet dancer,
- 1:40:30Mandy: like I love the fact that they're like ballet lifts.
- 1:40:33Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:40:33Mandy: Yeah.
- 1:40:34Mandy: Like, yeah, I know what this is.
- 1:40:35Mandy: Like, they're like jumping up to like.
- 1:40:37Nora: Yeah, like I see that lift happen.
- 1:40:39Nora: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:40:40Nora: And I could see them like,
- 1:40:41Nora: because of the way that the stage was angled,
- 1:40:43Nora: 'cause we were kind of looking down at them,
- 1:40:45Nora: we could, I could kind of see them like
- 1:40:47Nora: planning things out and talking to each other.
- 1:40:49Nora: So it's kind of cool to see behind the scenes
- 1:40:50Nora: of like how it kind of works out
- 1:40:52Nora: when they're actually doing it.
- 1:40:54Nora: 'Cause I've never, you know, I don't watch wrestling.
- 1:40:57Nora: I don't, that's not something that I pay attention to,
- 1:41:00Nora: but I did have a lot of fun.
- 1:41:01Nora: And like, if you go as somebody
- 1:41:04Nora: who has never watched wrestling before,
- 1:41:05Nora: if you go and you've never watched wrestling before
- 1:41:07Nora: and you go, it's fun.
- 1:41:09Nora: You'll have a good time.
- 1:41:11Charles: Would you all go again?
- 1:41:13Nora: For the first 15 minutes.
- 1:41:14Nora: Not to Denver.
- 1:41:15Nora: (laughing)
- 1:41:15Nora: If it was closer.
- 1:41:17Nora: If it was closer, yeah.
- 1:41:19Chris: What if we drugged you with some of Mandy's Klonopin
- 1:41:23Chris: and then just woke you up when we got there?
- 1:41:25Nora: Cherry is cherry.
- 1:41:26Nora: (laughing)
- 1:41:26Chris: Exactly.
- 1:41:28Nora: I don't know.
- 1:41:29Nora: I didn't get to bed until 12.30 that night
- 1:41:31Nora: and I was sad about that.
- 1:41:32Chris: Or we get everyone fidget spinners.
- 1:41:34Chris: There you go.
- 1:41:35Chris: And toys to keep, yeah.
- 1:41:37Nora: I think you need to supply me with a lot more weed
- 1:41:39Nora: than I had on Friday night.
- 1:41:40Nora: Okay.
- 1:41:41Nora: That's my thing.
- 1:41:42Mandy: You do weed, I'll do Klonopin.
- 1:41:43Nora: Yeah.
- 1:41:44Mandy: It'll be nice, healthy people coping.
- 1:41:47Nora: Two containers of gummies, that'll probably do the trick.
- 1:41:50Mandy: Shut up.
- 1:41:51Charles: (laughing)
- 1:41:51Charles: The kind where it's like,
- 1:41:52Charles: hey, come with me to review this restaurant.
- 1:41:56Charles: No, not much weed.
- 1:41:58Charles: Yeah, that's probably.
- 1:41:59Charles: Or it's just in the audience like, oh.
- 1:42:02Mandy: I have to bring my handler though,
- 1:42:04Mandy: but if I can't help myself, I need my handler.
- 1:42:07Mandy: Yeah, you need your handler.
- 1:42:08Nora: That was an oversight, the intern should have been invited.
- 1:42:10Nora: That was an oversight, so.
- 1:42:12Mandy: I mean, so the intern wasn't like,
- 1:42:14Mandy: Aw, shucks, I missed wrestling.
- 1:42:17Mandy: But like, it was an oversight.
- 1:42:19Mandy: He would have gone.
- 1:42:20Nora: Bureaucratic oversight.
- 1:42:20Chris: But also, how would we have fit him in the car?
- 1:42:23Chris: Right.
- 1:42:23Chris: We couldn't have taken two cars.
- 1:42:24Chris: I had to take my own car, no!
- 1:42:26Chris: Oh no, Mandy wouldn't have made it.
- 1:42:29Chris: The humanity.
- 1:42:30Charles: Mandy would have been like, "Oh no, I crashed."
- 1:42:33Charles: (laughing)
- 1:42:34Charles: Shaboondocks!
- 1:42:34Chris: I'm my boondocks now, everybody.
- 1:42:36Chris: She'd be like, "I crashed right into Texas Roadhouse."
- 1:42:39Chris: Exactly.
- 1:42:39Mandy: Oh no!
- 1:42:40Mandy: How did this roll fall in my mouth?
- 1:42:42Mandy: Exactly.
- 1:42:43Mandy: I don't know, goodness.
- 1:42:47Chris: She's like, y'all have fun,
- 1:42:48Chris: I'm wrestling this chicken fried steak right here.
- 1:42:51Mandy: Yes, like BA in the A team, that's the joke.
- 1:42:54Mandy: Look, Larry in the comments,
- 1:42:56Mandy: that is why I have the Klonopin,
- 1:42:58Mandy: because I have to be drugged to get on a plane.
- 1:43:00Mandy: And that's literally, they call it,
- 1:43:02Mandy: my psychiatrist calls it my plane going down pill.
- 1:43:05Chris: (laughing)
- 1:43:06Mandy: So I'm literally BA practice.
- 1:43:08Chris: That's amazing.
- 1:43:10Nora: Yeah, I definitely enjoyed hanging out with you guys.
- 1:43:12Mandy: Yeah, and I think what we need to do
- 1:43:14Mandy: is we each need to have a time
- 1:43:16Mandy: where we introduce people to things
- 1:43:18Mandy: that they don't normally do.
- 1:43:19Mandy: And I call dibs on next.
- 1:43:21Mandy: Okay. - Cool.
- 1:43:22Chris: Done.
- 1:43:22Chris: Mandy is now planning the next,
- 1:43:25Chris: our next team building experience.
- 1:43:27Nora: The thing that I thought of was
- 1:43:29Nora: I want to bring you all to the state fair,
- 1:43:32Nora: but that would be like a weekend.
- 1:43:33Mandy: That's fine.
- 1:43:34Mandy: Oh, no.
- 1:43:35Chris: That's driving to Pueblo, Mandy.
- 1:43:37Mandy: Yeah, that's driving to Pueblo.
- 1:43:39Mandy: No, really?
- 1:43:39Chris: That's driving to Pueblo.
- 1:43:40Nora: But the county fair,
- 1:43:41Nora: The sticker itself is really fun.
- 1:43:43Nora: But it is a drive to Pueblo.
- 1:43:45Nora: That's my thought.
- 1:43:47Chris: Pueblo might be more like four hours, I don't know.
- 1:43:50Mandy: Well, I will take my own car
- 1:43:52Mandy: and I may or may not make it there.
- 1:43:56Chris: Sorry, she saw TGI Fridays and we lost her.
- 1:43:59Nora: But I know it's a big ask.
- 1:44:01Nora: I mean, I feel like someone's wrestling, so.
- 1:44:05Nora: That's true.
- 1:44:06Nora: The other thing is, you guys are gonna have to plan
- 1:44:07Nora: something for my 30th birthday,
- 1:44:09Nora: I want friends to plan my birthday.
- 1:44:11Charles: Yeah, we're getting you a cameo from Anthony Sprung.
- 1:44:21Charles: I would love that.
- 1:44:21Charles: Because I'm just a regular guy.
- 1:44:23Nora: I want to hear what he has. I want to hear his catchphrases for Nora.
- 1:44:27Charles: Those are different than Chris.
- 1:44:28Charles: He's probably going to be like, "Stop Snora, Nora."
- 1:44:32Chris: It's going to be lamer than that. It's going to be like, "Nor-ish-mora."
- 1:44:37Nora: Well, there's only one way to find out.
- 1:44:39Nora: It's to stay tuned through March of next year.
- 1:44:42Nora: So that's our show, folks.
- 1:44:44Nora: Oh, good.
- 1:44:45Nora: Yeah, hell yeah.
- 1:44:47Charles: We've been on top of the Segway game today.
- 1:44:52Charles: Thank you so much for watching the show tonight.
- 1:44:55Charles: We had a great time.
- 1:44:56Charles: We hope that you did, too.
- 1:44:58Charles: We'll see you all next week.
- 1:45:00Charles: Is everybody here next week?
- 1:45:02Charles: Yeah.
- 1:45:02Charles: Two weeks in a row?
- 1:45:03Nora: Wow.
- 1:45:04Nora: Well, we'll watch Twilight by next week,
- 1:45:05Nora: and you guys will stay tuned for our thoughts and feelings
- 1:45:10Nora: and opinions.
- 1:45:12Nora: That's what I have to say.
- 1:45:13Charles: I'm excited.
- 1:45:14Charles: Are you excited?
- 1:45:15Nora: Yeah.
- 1:45:17Charles: [LAUGHTER]
- 1:45:20Video: This is Loudspeaker.
- 1:45:32Video: That was a good show.
- 1:45:33Video: That was a good one.
- 1:45:34Nora: What time is it?
- 1:45:36Nora: 8.45?
- 1:45:36Nora: Perfect!
