- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm asking you to do one thing because for whatever reason,
- 0:04Speaker 1: we get a lot more votes when I'm on the ballot.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They're the ones that told me that I didn't know.
- 0:09Speaker 2: What the hell do I know?
- 0:10Speaker 1: But now I want you to pretend I'm on the
- 0:12Speaker 1: ballot because if you go out and vote like you
- 0:16Speaker 1: did in the presidentials where we won by so much.
- 0:19Speaker 1: If you go out and if you all vote, we
- 0:21Speaker 1: win in the landslide. We win everything.
- 0:23Speaker 3: You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:29Speaker 4: the 47 Morning Update. And we've got one big story
- 0:32Speaker 4: for you, but it involves a lot. The president barnstorming
- 0:36Speaker 4: the country, fighting for Republicans all over the place. So
- 0:41Speaker 4: where are the races that he's getting involved? What states
- 0:44Speaker 4: are at play? And what does it mean as we're
- 0:46Speaker 4: less than a week away from Election Day? We break
- 0:50Speaker 4: it all down for you. Before we get to that,
- 0:52Speaker 4: the midterm elections are heating up and congressional control in
- 0:55Speaker 4: President Trump's agenda.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Hang in the balance.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Every headline has the potential to shift the odds. On
- 1:00Speaker 4: Cal State, you can trade major primaries, election outcomes, and
- 1:04Speaker 4: the biggest political storylines as they happen. A great example
- 1:09Speaker 4: of this is the race in the Democratic presidential nominee. Yeah,
- 1:13Speaker 4: it's up there right now. Also, how many Senate seats
- 1:16Speaker 4: will Democrats hold after the midterms? Above 52 is trading
- 1:21Speaker 4: at 36%. 52 at 18 percent. Which party will win
- 1:26Speaker 4: the U.S. Senate? Well, right now it has Democrats at
- 1:29Speaker 4: 62 percent, Republicans at 38. How about the Michigan Senate winner?
- 1:34Speaker 4: El-Said is at 69 percent, Mike Rogers at 31, meaning
- 1:38Speaker 4: if you put $ 100 on Mike Rogers and he wins,
- 1:41Speaker 4: you get $ 292 in change back. That is why I
- 1:46Speaker 4: love Couchy. Now, there's a big Texas event as well.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Will Kim Paxton defeat Tallarico? Paxton's currently trading at 50%,
- 1:54Speaker 4: meaning a $ 100 trade would pay out $ 93 if he
- 1:57Speaker 4: beats Tallarico. Now, on Couchy, you're trading against peers in
- 2:01Speaker 4: a live market, meaning there's no house. And as the
- 2:04Speaker 4: probability changes, you can buy in and out of your position.
- 2:08Speaker 4: So download the Kalshi app and use code BEN to
- 2:12Speaker 4: get $ 20 when you trade 20. K-A-L-S-H-I. Kalshi. Trade on anything.
- 2:18Speaker 5: 18 plus only. Restrictions and eligibility requirements apply. Event contract
- 2:21Speaker 5: trading involves risk and may not be suitable for all investors.
- 2:23Speaker 5: Kalshi products are not available in all jurisdictions. Prices, values,
- 2:26Speaker 5: and available markets may differ from those mentioned. For more information,
- 2:28Speaker 5: see Kalshi.com slash regulatory.
- 2:29Speaker 4: It's the 47 morning update, and it starts right now.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Story number one.
- 2:34Speaker 4: We are exactly one week away from one of the
- 2:37Speaker 4: most consequential midterm elections in recent American history. We have
- 2:42Speaker 4: radicals like Assam Piker saying that America is a terrorist nation.
- 2:46Speaker 4: Ilham Omar, who is now saying that America and the
- 2:50Speaker 4: Republican Party specifically is a protector of pedophiles. That is
- 2:55Speaker 4: their closing argument. President Trump, he's doing something that is
- 2:59Speaker 4: rarely seen from a sitting president during a midterm election.
- 3:03Speaker 4: He is practically living on the campaign trail. State after state,
- 3:08Speaker 4: rally after rally, and now night after night. From Texas
- 3:11Speaker 4: to Mississippi, from Michigan to Iowa, from Florida to Ohio.
- 3:16Speaker 4: What are we seeing? Trump traveling across America. With one
- 3:21Speaker 4: overriding objective, getting Republicans who voted for him for president
- 3:25Speaker 4: to show up at the polls on November the 3rd.
- 3:29Speaker 4: And the president has been delivering a message that is
- 3:31Speaker 4: a simple one, but it's important. Pretend I'm on the ballot. Now,
- 3:36Speaker 4: the president's also going after the radical left, saying this
- 3:40Speaker 4: in Corpus Christi about James Tallarico.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So I'm just going to ask you to take a
- 3:45Speaker 1: look at this little video real quick, because then I
- 3:48Speaker 1: don't have to talk about this guy anymore. Go ahead, please.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Did they teach you in Sunday school that Jesus Christ
- 3:54Speaker 2: himself died? was a radical feminist. The American flag is
- 3:59Speaker 2: such a complicated symbol for most of us. God is
- 4:02Speaker 2: both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is non-binary.
- 4:09Speaker 2: You can't call yourself a Christian and reject the stranger
- 4:14Speaker 2: seeking asylum at our southern border. I want to acknowledge
- 4:18Speaker 2: that our trans community needs abortion care too. There are
- 4:23Speaker 2: many more than two biological sexes. In fact, there are six.
- 4:27Speaker 2: For me, prophetic voices like Jesus have helped me reckon
- 4:30Speaker 2: with my own whiteness. Our southern border should be like
- 4:33Speaker 2: our front porch. There should be a giant welcome mat
- 4:36Speaker 2: out front.
- 4:37Speaker 5: Something that you love.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I love the trans children. To the trans kids watching
- 4:44Speaker 2: at home, I just want to say I love you.
- 4:48Speaker 1: What would.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Jesus do if he visited the Texas legislature? I think
- 4:54Speaker 2: he would tell us, blessed are the trans children. Who's
- 4:58Speaker 2: your favorite drag queen in Texas? Oh my gosh, probably
- 5:01Speaker 2: Alyssa Edwards. What if we ran our world like we
- 5:03Speaker 2: run a kindergarten classroom? Every one of our neighbors with
- 5:08Speaker 2: a uterus just became the property of the state. God
- 5:12Speaker 2: is not a Christian. I always think of myself as
- 5:15Speaker 2: a Christian who hates Christianity.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yeah, prison.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Is violence.
- 5:20Speaker 2: It's rich to me that defund the police is considered
- 5:24Speaker 2: off limits. We all know that Texas has been a
- 5:27Speaker 2: leader in oil and gas, but in many ways that's
- 5:29Speaker 2: like being a leader in cassette tapes. It is now
- 5:31Speaker 2: existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption. Our
- 5:35Speaker 2: campaign has officially become a non-meat campaign.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So the assault weapon's still on the table? Absolutely.
- 5:41Speaker 2: All these ideologies stem from this Christofascism movement. We are
- 5:47Speaker 2: trying to fundamentally change our politics.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And i think we're doing better than at any time
- 6:02Speaker 1: 22.2 trillion dollars is being invested in our country that's
- 6:07Speaker 1: more than ever that's more than any country has ever
- 6:11Speaker 1: had invested and it's never been anything But the only
- 6:15Speaker 1: man standing between Texas and this raging lunatic is a
- 6:20Speaker 1: man named President Donald J. Trump. Thank you. And I
- 6:22Speaker 1: need the help of Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I need a little help, please. I need help. He's
- 6:30Speaker 1: the perfect guy. We have fought so many battles. We
- 6:33Speaker 1: fought the border battle together. We won. We fought so
- 6:36Speaker 1: many different battles. The voter fraud, all of that terrible
- 6:39Speaker 1: voter fraud. Be careful of the voter fraud. Be careful. Well,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you have Mays and you have your U.S. attorney and
- 6:48Speaker 1: you have a couple of people here, but we're going
- 6:50Speaker 1: to watch that voter fraud. Congratulations on your big victory too, Mays. Great,
- 6:56Speaker 1: great job. But in this election, I'm asking you to
- 7:02Speaker 1: do one thing, because for whatever reason, we get a
- 7:05Speaker 1: lot more votes when I'm on the ballot. They're the
- 7:08Speaker 1: ones that told me that. I didn't know.
- 7:09Speaker 2: What the hell do I know?
- 7:10Speaker 1: We get 49.2% more votes when I'm on the ballot
- 7:15Speaker 1: and we always win. But now I want you to
- 7:17Speaker 1: pretend I'm on the ballot because if you go out
- 7:21Speaker 1: and vote like you did in the presidentials where we
- 7:24Speaker 1: won by so much, by 18 or 19 points, can
- 7:28Speaker 1: you imagine in Texas? All three times, records.
- 7:34Speaker 5: If you go out And if you all.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Vote, we win in the landslide. We win everything. And
- 7:40Speaker 1: not only Ken Paxton, but all these great congresspeople, a
- 7:43Speaker 1: couple of them, a couple of them have close races.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Doc Ronnie's up by about 57 points, but we don't
- 7:49Speaker 1: worry about him. Don't worry about Doc Ronnie. You don't
- 7:52Speaker 1: have to vote for him. No, go out and vote.
- 7:56Speaker 1: We don't want any surprises, Ronnie. Sir, you shouldn't have
- 7:59Speaker 1: said that. Nobody showed up. But early voting is underway
- 8:02Speaker 1: and ends Friday, October 30th. And there's one week left
- 8:06Speaker 1: until Election Day. And that's going to be an exciting
- 8:09Speaker 1: evening because I think we're doing great. They say these
- 8:11Speaker 1: rallies have really energized. You know, I've done 26 of them.
- 8:17Speaker 4: You think about what the president just said there, 26
- 8:20Speaker 4: rallies for an 80 year old. It's truly incredible. And
- 8:24Speaker 4: what does he do at the end of each one
- 8:26Speaker 4: of these rallies? He does his Trump famous dance. And
- 8:29Speaker 4: he also made it very clear that he says we
- 8:31Speaker 4: are in the golden age of America right now. Yes,
- 8:34Speaker 4: gas prices are higher than we want, but look at everything.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Less than two years ago, the radical left Democrats handed
- 8:41Speaker 1: us the dark age of America. But we quickly turned
- 8:45Speaker 1: it into the golden age of America. That's where we
- 8:48Speaker 1: are right now. And no other president has ever accomplished
- 8:54Speaker 1: so much in such a short period of time. And
- 8:57Speaker 1: I did it because of you. Without you, it would
- 9:00Speaker 1: have not been. You're the people that built our country.
- 9:04Speaker 1: We've achieved the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded
- 9:07Speaker 1: with a murder rate at the lowest level in 125 years.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Not since 1990. And it much less than two years
- 9:18Speaker 1: because we're much less than two years. We secured commitments,
- 9:22Speaker 1: as I said, for twenty two point two trillion dollars
- 9:25Speaker 1: with a T trillion dollars of new investments into the United.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The greatest amount of money ever invested to any country
- 9:35Speaker 1: in the history of the world by far.
- 9:39Speaker 4: You listen to the closing argument there and the president
- 9:41Speaker 4: is reminding voters, this is what you voted for. This
- 9:44Speaker 4: is what you're going to get from me. And he
- 9:47Speaker 4: also talked about the promise, he said, I would deliver
- 9:50Speaker 4: justice for Jocelyn Nungary. Here is what he had to
- 9:54Speaker 4: say about that, reminding people about safety and securing the border.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I promised Alexis that I... would deliver justice for Jocelyn.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And since I took office, we've rounded up, arrested and
- 10:06Speaker 1: deported thousands of Tren de Aragua gang members from Texas
- 10:10Speaker 1: and all across the country. And we've obliterated their gang
- 10:17Speaker 1: hideouts and terrorists. compounds and unleashed our military to eliminate
- 10:22Speaker 1: their leaders, and they've been eliminated. And in Jocelyn's honor,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I officially renamed one of our nation's most beautiful wildlife
- 10:33Speaker 1: preserves near Houston to the Jocelyn Nungari National Wildlife Refuge,
- 10:40Speaker 1: and it's beautiful.
- 10:43Speaker 4: The president also talked about foreign policy and he brought
- 10:47Speaker 4: on stage Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Corpus Christi
- 10:51Speaker 4: to talk about, well, Cuba and even had a joke
- 10:54Speaker 4: about dropping off Marco in Cuba. Take a listen.
- 10:59Speaker 1: He's done a great job. You know, we'll drop him
- 11:02Speaker 1: off and we're going to drop Marco off in Cuba.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Where's Marco? Come here. Come here, Marco. Marco, come up.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Come on.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 11:25Speaker 4: It's an honor to work for the greatest country in
- 11:27Speaker 4: the world, for the greatest president in the history of
- 11:29Speaker 4: the United States of America. We love you, Texas.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He's doing a great job. I said the other day
- 11:38Speaker 1: on the way back from Iran, we're going to drop
- 11:40Speaker 1: him off in Cuba. He'll settle that one in about
- 11:42Speaker 1: 15 minutes. We're going to parachute him in, just drop
- 11:45Speaker 1: him and he'll figure it out.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Just drop him off, parachute him in. The president of
- 11:48Speaker 4: the United States of America yet again making a clear
- 11:51Speaker 4: foreign policy and making the world a safer place is
- 11:54Speaker 4: also an important part of the closing arguments. So there
- 11:57Speaker 4: you have it. The president's not done yet on the
- 11:59Speaker 4: campaign trail. The crazy part is he's just getting started.
- 12:03Speaker 4: And it's very clear now that the president wants to
- 12:05Speaker 4: make this election about national security, about foreign policy, about
- 12:10Speaker 4: what is happening, getting rid of the gangs in this
- 12:12Speaker 4: country and those that have come across the border illegally.
- 12:16Speaker 4: That is the president's argument in saying we're in the
- 12:18Speaker 4: greatest time in American history economically for your family as well.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Never forget, as he puts it, no tax on tips,
- 12:25Speaker 4: no tax on overtime. And the other thing, People are
- 12:29Speaker 4: making more money now than at any other point in
- 12:31Speaker 4: the history of this country. That is the president's very
- 12:34Speaker 4: clear closing argument.
