Fair Bluff Fire Dept Gets Polling Spot | Wilmington News
Columbus County’s early voting plan is approved with a twist: the Fair Bluff Fire Department must be one of the five designated sites, after a tense 3-2 vote. Sunday voting was dropped in favor of this compromise, as the Republican-majority board rejected an alternative that included weekend hours. Early voting runs Oct. 19–30, weekdays 8 a.m.–7:30 p.m., with Saturday hours shortened to 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Locations include Whiteville, Chadbourn, Tabor City, Riegelwood, and Fair Bluff — making it easier for voters, especially in Fair Bluff, to cast their ballots.
