- 0:28Speaker 1: It was a busy week for the Birds as they
- 0:31Speaker 1: obviously made a lot of moves around the edges here.
- 0:34Speaker 2: What do they all mean?
- 0:35Speaker 1: Well, Mosh is here to tell us all what he
- 0:39Speaker 1: thinks they all mean. Jeff Boucher from the Inside the
- 0:41Speaker 1: Birds podcast and of course Phillyvoice dot com.
- 0:44Speaker 2: What's up, Jeff, Mike?
- 0:46Speaker 3: How you doing, Buddy? What's going on?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Jeff?
- 0:48Speaker 3: A good time downleer one?
- 0:50Speaker 2: I did.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I saw a good game a scoobl Vers Sanchez. I
- 0:54Speaker 1: got that game on Friday. I felt like it was
- 0:56Speaker 1: like a World Series preview maybe in that but why
- 1:00Speaker 1: was there? Things were happening, Eagles were making moves. Let's
- 1:04Speaker 1: go back a little bit and get some thoughts. You know,
- 1:07Speaker 1: it looked like Goddard was as good as gone. Not
- 1:10Speaker 1: only they get them back, they get them back at
- 1:11Speaker 1: a lower cost from last year. Are you surprised they
- 1:15Speaker 1: got Goddard back with that deal?
- 1:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:19Speaker 4: Well, you know, Josh and I talked about this little
- 1:21Speaker 4: last week about surprise. You just never know what a
- 1:26Speaker 4: market's gonna look like. And the tight end market this
- 1:28Speaker 4: year it surprised me now to look back on it
- 1:32Speaker 4: and see that there just wasn't It wasn't abundant, you know.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I mean there's as we speak. I believe John new
- 1:38Speaker 4: Smith is still like David Nijoku. I think he took
- 1:41Speaker 4: a visit with a team, but I don't know that
- 1:43Speaker 4: he's signed yet.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I mean, these were.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Some of the top names, and for whatever reason, the
- 1:48Speaker 4: tight end market this year did not materialize. Sometimes you
- 1:52Speaker 4: get a year, right Mike, where you think a guy's
- 1:54Speaker 4: not that good. Adam and I constantly talk about the
- 1:56Speaker 4: Christian Kirk like market from five years ago when he
- 2:00Speaker 4: signed for like eighteen million a year and everybody was shocked,
- 2:02Speaker 4: you know.
- 2:03Speaker 3: And this is one of those where it went the
- 2:06Speaker 3: other way.
- 2:06Speaker 4: You know, he just just not a big market for
- 2:09Speaker 4: tit ends this year, so it hurted Ballace counter.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Well, and the Eagles prosper because of that. They get
- 2:14Speaker 1: Goddard to come back here, they make the trade for
- 2:20Speaker 1: Hollywood not to trade. They signed Hollywood Brown. They add
- 2:23Speaker 1: him to the mix, and that of course sent off
- 2:25Speaker 1: a lot of stuff. Okay, you're bringing in an accomplished receiver.
- 2:29Speaker 1: What kind of role do you see? Let's say AJ
- 2:32Speaker 1: Brown is here. Let's start with that. How what kind
- 2:36Speaker 1: of role does Hollywood Brown? Is it a good fit?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean yes and no.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I mean he's a good fit as a good player.
- 2:43Speaker 4: He can stretch the field, he can line up in
- 2:47Speaker 4: multiple different spots.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I personally don't think he gives.
- 2:52Speaker 4: The Eagles what they really need if they have AJ Brown,
- 2:55Speaker 4: which is a true slot wide receiver.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I mean he can be a vertical slot, but you
- 3:01Speaker 3: want a slot who can do a little run block.
- 3:04Speaker 3: He can catch the ball, so.
- 3:06Speaker 4: You can you can be in your eleven personnel without
- 3:08Speaker 4: giving away too many tells. I still think they need that,
- 3:12Speaker 4: but he's obviously are if you look at the guys
- 3:16Speaker 4: that the Eagles have had as number three receivers, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 4: John Dotson did you have a third round pick for him?
- 3:22Speaker 3: He had at the end of the day, what do
- 3:24Speaker 3: you have thirty catches as an eagle.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I mean, it's just it's not worth a third round pick.
- 3:29Speaker 4: We said that when it happened. I get that they
- 3:30Speaker 4: won a Super Bowl. I get he made some impressive
- 3:33Speaker 4: plays in the Super Bowl. But there are like a
- 3:36Speaker 4: bunch of free agent receivers you could have gotten without
- 3:38Speaker 4: giving up a third round pick, who probably could have
- 3:40Speaker 4: given you the same production on a one year contract
- 3:43Speaker 4: each of the last two years.
- 3:45Speaker 1: So does this move then tell say that he's not
- 3:47Speaker 1: a good fit with the current compliment of receivers, and
- 3:52Speaker 1: there's more of a move in the event that aj
- 3:55Speaker 1: Brown is not here.
- 3:57Speaker 4: No, I mean the point I was gonna make was that,
- 3:59Speaker 4: like if you look at their number three receivers and
- 4:02Speaker 4: not slot, I just mean, like a number three receiver,
- 4:04Speaker 4: which is usually your first guy off the bench to
- 4:06Speaker 4: play the outside right, whether it was John Dotson the
- 4:10Speaker 4: years before that, it was you know, they tried to
- 4:12Speaker 4: remember side. They tried to sign Devonte Parker and he
- 4:14Speaker 4: wound up retiring. They they gave John Ross a try,
- 4:17Speaker 4: They gave a who is the other guy that they
- 4:19Speaker 4: brought out of retirement and Paris Campbell a try.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I mean this, Marquis Brown is legit.
- 4:25Speaker 4: He had a thousand yard season, So they have already
- 4:28Speaker 4: improved the depth that they've had at that position by
- 4:32Speaker 4: a lot over the last few years. Now, if you
- 4:35Speaker 4: that's if you have AJ Brown, if you don't have
- 4:38Speaker 4: AJ Brown, now you're asking him to be your one
- 4:42Speaker 4: of your top two wide receivers depending on what you
- 4:44Speaker 4: do going forward. And that's a little bit of a
- 4:47Speaker 4: miscast role for him. So it's still a good guy
- 4:51Speaker 4: to have, but it's a miscast role for him.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, Ollywood Brown obviously probably you know, he
- 4:57Speaker 1: gives them a little speed, the ability to kind of
- 5:00Speaker 1: stretch the field, something they really haven't had a whole
- 5:02Speaker 1: heck of a lot of in that third receiver role.
- 5:05Speaker 1: And don't forget Johnny Wilson missed last year. He was
- 5:07Speaker 1: kind of the guy that blocked in that role. So
- 5:10Speaker 1: maybe he's a guy that is in there is a
- 5:12Speaker 1: blocking guy. You have Hollywood Brown who can stretch the field.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Does any of this, the Wattle trade, the Brown deal
- 5:20Speaker 1: change anything with AJ Brown in your mind?
- 5:23Speaker 4: Not really, Nope, we're just in a holding pattern here
- 5:26Speaker 4: and seeing what's gonna You know, the drafts will happen,
- 5:28Speaker 4: and then June first will happen, and then training camp
- 5:31Speaker 4: will happen.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So we got it's a long time.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Between because the Eagles don't need picks for this year,
- 5:37Speaker 4: so they don't have to right, So let's let's.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Talk about that real fast. I'm glad you brought that
- 5:41Speaker 1: up because I brought this up earlier. The Eagles go
- 5:45Speaker 1: into this season with Super Bowl aspirations.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Correct, Correct, If you trade aj Brown.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And don't get anything back to help this year's team,
- 5:59Speaker 1: do you still have the same aspirations losing the player
- 6:04Speaker 1: of that magnitude.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I mean they will, but I would think that they
- 6:09Speaker 4: will make counter moves to make sure that they're still
- 6:12Speaker 4: well stocked to that position. It's not a great argument
- 6:16Speaker 4: that I'm about to make. It's not apples to apples.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I've already made this argument before I gotten blowback on it.
- 6:23Speaker 4: But I just want people to understand that there's more
- 6:26Speaker 4: than one way to skin a cat.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Right. When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, not the
- 6:32Speaker 3: one against the Eagles.
- 6:32Speaker 4: Their second one, right, they went and they traded Tyreek
- 6:36Speaker 4: Hill to the Dolphins after that, and that didn't make
- 6:39Speaker 4: them a better team per se, but they still won
- 6:42Speaker 4: the Super Bowl again over that one over the Eagles
- 6:45Speaker 4: right for their third one, because they were better all
- 6:48Speaker 4: around and they were able to compensate for it. Now,
- 6:51Speaker 4: the blowback I get is, yeah, you can do that
- 6:53Speaker 4: when you have Patrick Mahlmes.
- 6:54Speaker 3: I get it, I get I.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Get the Jail Hurts is a good quarterback, but maybe
- 6:59Speaker 4: not as transcendent to where you just put anybody out
- 7:03Speaker 4: there with him and expect him to win the Super Bowl.
- 7:06Speaker 3: But what I would say is that the GM is
- 7:08Speaker 3: not an idiot.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I mean, he knows that if he trades AJ Brown
- 7:12Speaker 4: that there's gonna be some extensive work to be done
- 7:14Speaker 4: to be able to replace that, and he'll be aggressive.
- 7:19Speaker 4: The only thing I'll say at this point is where
- 7:22Speaker 4: how he's really going to be challenged here if he
- 7:25Speaker 4: trades AJ Brown or even if he doesn't, right is,
- 7:29Speaker 4: right now, you have no edge rusher of a Jalen
- 7:32Speaker 4: Phillips capability that you're you Look, they were gonna pay
- 7:36Speaker 4: him like twenty five million in the year in that neighborhood, right,
- 7:38Speaker 4: They're not paying anybody else twenty five million on the
- 7:40Speaker 4: edges and no one's available on free agent that's worth that.
- 7:44Speaker 4: So we've talked about the trademarket, right, maybe Jonathan Garnard.
- 7:48Speaker 4: It's not like it's like five guys though, Like if
- 7:50Speaker 4: you don't get Grenard, what do you do?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Right?
- 7:52Speaker 4: So that and then if you do want to trading
- 7:54Speaker 4: AJ Brown, you got a lot of work to do
- 7:58Speaker 4: to your point to be that super Bowl.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And that's why I feel like if you make a
- 8:02Speaker 1: trade and it's like, yeah, the picks next year, but
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're doing nothing then to improve the team right now
- 8:09Speaker 1: and you're given up a player of that that is
- 8:12Speaker 1: a huge part of helping you win a super Bowl now.
- 8:15Speaker 2: So if you move him, we're hoping that.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You get something to help the team now as opposed
- 8:22Speaker 1: to in the draft next year. Because I don't think
- 8:24Speaker 1: the Eagles want to I don't think the Eagles want
- 8:26Speaker 1: to kick one season away.
- 8:28Speaker 4: No, that's true. But remember it's not like how he
- 8:31Speaker 4: woke up one day and said I want to I
- 8:32Speaker 4: just feel like moving AJ Brown. This is all the
- 8:34Speaker 4: result of an unhappy receiver who is you know, obviously
- 8:38Speaker 4: allowed that the impact is play, who I imagine would
- 8:41Speaker 4: like to prefer to be elsewhere. I mean, when when
- 8:43Speaker 4: a guy wants to be somewhere else, whether his name
- 8:46Speaker 4: is Carson Wentz or Hassan Redick or so.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Be it, it usually winds up that that guy is
- 8:51Speaker 3: somewhere else.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Okay, let's talk about this Tanner mckista. So I get
- 8:56Speaker 1: to I'm away, you know, I'm kind of paying attention
- 8:59Speaker 1: to stuff, but not and somebody said the Eagles just
- 9:02Speaker 1: traded for Andy Dalton. I was like, what the Eagles
- 9:06Speaker 1: trade for Andy Dalton? Doesn't really fit the you know,
- 9:10Speaker 1: the mold all that much. But a veteran quarterback who
- 9:13Speaker 1: has started what's the messaging in your mind when you
- 9:17Speaker 1: see that deal happens? And then Rich Samini, a very
- 9:20Speaker 1: well respected reporter who covers the Jets, said the Jets
- 9:24Speaker 1: were told it's gonna be a second round.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Pick for McKee.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So were they trying to move McKee in hopes that
- 9:30Speaker 1: to get a second round pick? Or is it McKee's
- 9:32Speaker 1: here and Dalton is just the sam Howe.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean a little bit of that.
- 9:37Speaker 4: The second. I mean, they're not trying to move McKee.
- 9:40Speaker 4: But you know, you've seen it happen. You know we're
- 9:43Speaker 4: gonna go into the draft teams are. It's not a
- 9:45Speaker 4: great quarterback draft. So some team's gonna come out of
- 9:48Speaker 4: this draft thinking I didn't really get what I wanted
- 9:50Speaker 4: a quarterback. You know, I was hoping to maybe get
- 9:52Speaker 4: Ty Simpson I didn't, or you know, Garrett and Nesmeier,
- 9:55Speaker 4: I didn't. Okay, and then we're gonna have training camp, right, oh, tising,
- 9:59Speaker 4: and thenquarterback's gonna get hurt. It always happens, right, So
- 10:03Speaker 4: there's a real possibility that someone is still going to
- 10:07Speaker 4: call the Eagles at some point between now and the
- 10:09Speaker 4: opener of the season, and circumstances may say that that
- 10:13Speaker 4: team is going.
- 10:14Speaker 3: To offer what the Eagles would be looking for. Right.
- 10:18Speaker 4: So if that's the case, and the Eagles do this
- 10:21Speaker 4: really well, this is why credit Howie is they always
- 10:24Speaker 4: have contingency plans ready. Now, it's a little bit weird
- 10:27Speaker 4: to have and it all and as your third given
- 10:29Speaker 4: all that he's accomplished in the in the league, and
- 10:32Speaker 4: a little bit higher of a salary, we'll see if
- 10:35Speaker 4: that gets changed. You know, Eagles acquire guys sometimes they
- 10:38Speaker 4: do something with the salary to make it different.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So we'll see what that is.
- 10:42Speaker 4: But It certainly gives them the insurance to have a
- 10:45Speaker 4: guy to be the number two in case they do
- 10:48Speaker 4: lose McKee. And I'm sure they'd like to draft the
- 10:50Speaker 4: quarterback anyway, But that guy might not be ready like
- 10:52Speaker 4: Kyle McCord wasn't, or he might make a team unlike
- 10:55Speaker 4: comm accord, but still just not be ready to go
- 10:57Speaker 4: win games.
- 10:58Speaker 2: All right, there you go, Damien per is here.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Now. At first, she would say, man, this guy was
- 11:03Speaker 1: almost had.
- 11:03Speaker 2: A thousand yards a couple of years ago.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Like I've been sucked in by the you know, Rashad Pennies, great,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you know numbers in Seattle, AJ Dillon. This is what
- 11:13Speaker 1: I'm out all that excited about. Do you see a
- 11:15Speaker 1: role for Damian Pierce. There's just the classic, Hey we
- 11:19Speaker 1: got Devin White. Look at this move, big name player
- 11:23Speaker 1: who essentially has no role.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I mean, we can't even put Damian Pierce in Devin White.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I mean different.
- 11:31Speaker 4: White was at least an all pro in a first
- 11:33Speaker 4: round pick. Damian Pierce had one nice season as a
- 11:38Speaker 4: Day three pick. And no, I'm not I'm not really
- 11:41Speaker 4: excited about it. No, no disrespect to Damian Pierce. He's
- 11:45Speaker 4: up between the tackles pounded a rock runner and they're
- 11:48Speaker 4: about to sort of introduce an offense.
- 11:50Speaker 3: It's a little bit.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Different schematically, as a person who I spoke to in
- 11:54Speaker 4: the league kind of cracked it's best available gator for Howie,
- 11:58Speaker 4: who you know loves his floorer the guys because because
- 12:02Speaker 4: how he went there. So uh yeah, for whatever reason,
- 12:06Speaker 4: Mike and you just pointed this out, and I can't,
- 12:09Speaker 4: I don't understand it. The Eagles have kept four running
- 12:12Speaker 4: backs for the last few years, even though the fourth
- 12:15Speaker 4: running back has collected dust.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I mean AJ Dillon.
- 12:17Speaker 4: They had so many reasons as they're picking up players,
- 12:20Speaker 4: especially cornerbacks right left and right throughout the season, and
- 12:24Speaker 4: to figure out a way.
- 12:25Speaker 3: That AJ Dillon did not need to be on the
- 12:27Speaker 3: fifty three man roster.
- 12:28Speaker 4: But there he was all year long, even though Barkley
- 12:31Speaker 4: and Bigsby and Shipley were the guys right and remember
- 12:34Speaker 4: there were Shot Penny year same thing. He just sat
- 12:37Speaker 4: there and collected ust. So for whatever reason, they liked
- 12:40Speaker 4: to have four running backs. So you've got Bigsby, you
- 12:43Speaker 4: got Barkley, you got Shipley. Maybe there's a shot that
- 12:46Speaker 4: Pierce sticks. I'd be surprised but they've surprised me before.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I agree. I'm not gonna let this Damian peersting make
- 12:54Speaker 2: me feel like, Wow, there's a guy that can throw
- 12:56Speaker 2: the bottle over duting up.
- 12:57Speaker 1: He's to me just aj Dillon, big guy probably doesn't
- 13:01Speaker 1: touch the ball once all season long. Yeah, Marcus Epps
- 13:05Speaker 1: is back. Would you say that EPP's and mcuba will
- 13:11Speaker 1: be your starting safety tandem.
- 13:14Speaker 3: No, I'll say it could be your starting safety ten.
- 13:17Speaker 4: This is another thing, by the way, this is a
- 13:19Speaker 4: really this is a fascinating offseason only because the Eagles
- 13:24Speaker 4: have made a lot of good moves.
- 13:25Speaker 3: They're doing what they normally do.
- 13:26Speaker 4: But we have the discussion about edge like really lacking
- 13:29Speaker 4: the star that they expect to have.
- 13:30Speaker 3: There.
- 13:31Speaker 4: We're having discussion a wide receiver and safety. You know,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I thought Sidney Brown would get traded.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I just thought it.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Would happen at the end of camp when everybody's like
- 13:40Speaker 4: kind of well, I'm gonna wind up cutting this guy.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You're gonna wind up cutting that guy. Let's do like
- 13:43Speaker 4: one of these uh you're a guy for my guide deals,
- 13:46Speaker 4: but he doesn't even make it that far.
- 13:49Speaker 3: And yes, you bring back Epps. You signed J T.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Gray, who's really just a special teams player. He makes
- 13:54Speaker 4: up for what Epps, I'm sorry for what Sidney Brown
- 13:56Speaker 4: gives you on special teams. But right now you're looking
- 13:58Speaker 4: at the safety spot, and it's Andrew mccouba, it's Michael
- 14:03Speaker 4: Carter to the second.
- 14:03Speaker 3: We'll get some some rep go there, Marcus Apps.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Those are the only three guys, which I mean Andre
- 14:10Speaker 4: Sam who's never really you know, played meaningful downs in
- 14:13Speaker 4: the NFL. So this is yet another position where you're
- 14:17Speaker 4: just wondering, like, can how he keep spinning it and making,
- 14:20Speaker 4: you know, spinning the wheel and making magic happen when
- 14:23Speaker 4: he's got deficiencies at several spots on the roster.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Interesting that you say, yes, it could be And yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I mean unless you think you draft a safety and
- 14:33Speaker 1: play mccuba and a rookie.
- 14:36Speaker 2: That seems a little.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Joke on the podcast today that if you trade aj Brown,
- 14:40Speaker 4: you take some of that competent compensation and you package
- 14:44Speaker 4: it with your first round pick, you move up, you
- 14:45Speaker 4: get Caleb Downs.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Nobody's upset.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That would be a far fet scenario, but I guess
- 14:50Speaker 1: there's a possibility, uh, and maybe they make a trade
- 14:54Speaker 1: the other so basically, I mean all this stuff was
- 14:58Speaker 1: kind of leading up to the draft, which is now
- 15:01Speaker 1: a bunt out.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Has anything that has happened in the.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You know, this last free agency period which opened two
- 15:08Speaker 1: weeks ago, change the draft outlook for you at all,
- 15:11Speaker 1: or you know not nothing they have done in this
- 15:15Speaker 1: free agency will change their draft strategy.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Well, this is this is gonna sort of be the
- 15:22Speaker 4: repetitive part of our conversation.
- 15:24Speaker 5: The Eagles have always done a good job of draft
- 15:27Speaker 5: proofing the roster, having enough bodies that they feel confident
- 15:31Speaker 5: in to start at positions that they that they might
- 15:34Speaker 5: be deficient while they let their so they can just
- 15:37Speaker 5: go ahead and draft the best players.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Right, But can you go into the draft with with
- 15:42Speaker 4: no answer as a starting edge?
- 15:44Speaker 2: Right? No?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Can you can trade aj Brown?
- 15:47Speaker 4: And can you not have a safety and then tell
- 15:49Speaker 4: me you're not going to reach at those three spots
- 15:53Speaker 4: in the draft.
- 15:53Speaker 3: That's that's hard to imagine.
- 15:55Speaker 4: So that's why I'm not sitting here saying, how, you know,
- 15:59Speaker 4: how he's lost his time, which I think between now
- 16:01Speaker 4: and the draft we're certainly going to see something significantly
- 16:05Speaker 4: done to make sure that the roster is more draft proof.
- 16:09Speaker 3: But if it's not.
- 16:10Speaker 4: If you and I are having this conversation on a Wednesday,
- 16:13Speaker 4: right like we always talk on my name Wednesday, yep,
- 16:15Speaker 4: and the draft is on Thursday, and this is basically
- 16:17Speaker 4: what the roster they have looks like, then it's gonna
- 16:21Speaker 4: be an interesting conversation that we're going to have that.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And you know, and by the way, they also traded
- 16:25Speaker 1: Sidney Brown away and they basically moved up a couple
- 16:29Speaker 1: of spots in the draft. So obviously you're doing that
- 16:33Speaker 1: with the thought of, hey, a couple spots up could
- 16:35Speaker 1: help me make a trade and move a couple spots
- 16:37Speaker 1: someplace else or get somebody else here.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Who knows.
- 16:40Speaker 1: But Cidney Brown is a safety who they obviously and
- 16:43Speaker 1: Adam has been you know, saying for years or the
- 16:46Speaker 1: last all year that you know, they don't view him
- 16:48Speaker 1: as a safety, they view him as a special teams player.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So he was not in their safety plans either.
- 16:53Speaker 4: What are the Falcons thinking, By the way, what are
- 16:56Speaker 4: the Falcons thinking, Like, what are they seeing Sidney Brown
- 17:00Speaker 4: that they're gonna I know it's not that they're giving
- 17:02Speaker 4: up a lot, but they don't have that many trafficks.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Sick guy the Eagles will probably wind up cutting at
- 17:07Speaker 4: the end of training camp. But what is so important
- 17:10Speaker 4: about Sidney Brown to them that they had to even
- 17:12Speaker 4: do pick swats?
- 17:13Speaker 1: I was saying the same thing I said, are they
- 17:16Speaker 1: really move giving you two? I mean, what's a sixth
- 17:18Speaker 1: round move up? But the other one is a fourth
- 17:20Speaker 1: round move up, which you know could be from something.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But to move from what one twenty two to one seventeen,
- 17:25Speaker 1: it doesn't seem all that much. But those four spots
- 17:28Speaker 1: are five spots could be the move that says, hey,
- 17:31Speaker 1: can we use this one? And because they got a
- 17:33Speaker 1: bunch of middle round picks there.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the whole point is why give up
- 17:39Speaker 4: anything sign a guy who's probably gonna be available at
- 17:42Speaker 4: some point and really only can guarantee to help.
- 17:45Speaker 3: You on special teams. I don't know, you kind of
- 17:48Speaker 3: missed five, all right?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Jeff Boscher the Inside the Birds podcast, a lot of
- 17:51Speaker 1: people watching on YouTube right now. Of course, no, Jeff,
- 17:54Speaker 1: he is of course with us on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Adam will be here tomorrow, Andrew check go on Thursday.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Adam is back on Friday. All off season, we're getting
- 18:03Speaker 1: ready for the draft.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:04Speaker 1: We are one month to the day to the NFL Draft.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Now that it's interesting because of the McKee stuff. That
- 18:11Speaker 1: one perked my interest. The McKee thing now becomes very
- 18:14Speaker 1: interesting to me because you said it not a great
- 18:17Speaker 1: quarterback class, and everybody loves to find that guy that
- 18:21Speaker 1: can get on the cheap meaning pay wise. So if
- 18:24Speaker 1: they feel like they can get Tata McKee at that price,
- 18:28Speaker 1: the Eagles may be able to get another interesting pick here.
- 18:31Speaker 2: So that's something that definitely I'm keeping an eye on.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you missed some good basketball, local basketball here
- 18:37Speaker 4: over the week.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I saw you were at the Ukon. Were you there
- 18:40Speaker 2: last night?
- 18:41Speaker 4: I was covering it for Philly Voice both nights Friday
- 18:43Speaker 4: and Sunday, all the games.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was great time. First fun for me.
- 18:47Speaker 4: First, I've covered everything basically every single major exporting event
- 18:51Speaker 4: except for an NCAA tournament until this weekend, So check
- 18:55Speaker 4: that off my list.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Well, it's funny because the games were also in Tampa,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and I didn't go to the games, but I did
- 19:03Speaker 1: see that the game last night in Tampa was like
- 19:05Speaker 1: a ten fifteen start man.
- 19:09Speaker 4: The Yukon game against Furman on Friday night wound up
- 19:14Speaker 4: starting around ten thirty, because you know, it's the fourth
- 19:17Speaker 4: of four games and every you know, a couple of
- 19:20Speaker 4: games are slower going overtime, and that was kind of brutal.
- 19:23Speaker 3: That was really brutal.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I you know, I watched pretty much every game. Now,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I don't remember some of the endings, but.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I was just college basketball, good college basketball. Back at
- 19:37Speaker 3: the XMA.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Awesome, awesome.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I've been to Actually, I've never been to a college
- 19:42Speaker 1: basketball NCAA game in Philly. I've been to one in Tampa.
- 19:45Speaker 1: When West Virginia played Kentucky in Tampa. It is like
- 19:49Speaker 1: twenty eleven or something. I went to the games in Tampa.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Had a blast watching those games. I was at the
- 19:55Speaker 1: Mac here in Atlantic City. So I'm all college basketball up, man,
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm not missing anything. I was at the Phillies game Friday.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I saw Scuball and Sanchez. I mean, I'm living it up.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I'm having some sports fun right now.
- 20:07Speaker 3: That's wait, Wait, Matt, was it the Mac or Mac
- 20:10Speaker 3: the Mac?
- 20:11Speaker 2: It was Jerry Mack, Jerry McNamara.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna say Sienna represented well. They went
- 20:15Speaker 3: out to play the DUCA really great.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It did.
- 20:18Speaker 1: And it's funny because the last couple of years you
- 20:21Speaker 1: had Patino coaching Iona. He ended up in Saint John's
- 20:25Speaker 1: and now McNamara who coached Sienna.
- 20:27Speaker 2: He's now at Syracuse.
- 20:29Speaker 3: This is a hotbed for definitely definitely a hotbed there.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, all right man, we will catch up on Wednesday, alright.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Bro Football four is powered by the Inside the Birds podcast.
