Today we're adding two more: circle and square. In Cantonese, circle is 圓形. Luna: 圓形. Lucas: Good. Square is 方形. Luna: 方形. Lucas: Let's use them. Say: this is a circle. 呢個係圓形. Luna: 呢個係圓形. Lucas: Great. Now: this is a square. 呢個係方形. Luna: 呢個係方形. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's describe real objects. A ball is a circle. 個波係圓形. Luna: 個波係圓形. Lucas: A book is a square. 本書係方形. Luna: 本書係方形. Lucas: You're nailing it. Let's do a mini conversation. I'll point to something and you describe it. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: Points at a clock. 呢個係咩形狀? Luna: 呢個係圓形. Lucas: Yes! And points at a box. 呢個呢? Luna: 呢個係方形. Lucas: Perfect. You're getting it really well. Luna: Thanks! So circle is 圓形 and square is 方形. Lucas: That's right.
