- 0:00SPEAKER_01: What's so funny?
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Cat Kathy's not wrong.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: She texted uh Kathy Double or Kathy030.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Uh I'll just use your username on that one.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: She goes, Gen Xers are traumatized by uh other things.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Has anyone ever really died in quicksand in the US?
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: That is the second day in a row for this.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: That's a big one.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Ray, that's another one of those when we were younger.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: And you said it perfectly yesterday.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: The only thing that your kids fear is losing the internet.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: And the Wi-Fi going out.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: That's their fear.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: They don't fear quicksand.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: They don't fear piranhas.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: They don't fear getting stuck on a railroad crossing.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Like, okay, I have a girlfriend.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: She's so superstitious that when she she's going across a railroad crossing, she touches a screw in her car.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure what the deal is with that.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: I've never heard that one.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Has anyone heard the one hold your breath when you go over railroad tracks?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Do you pass a white house or you'll let the evil spirits in?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: She does that too.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: She does it.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, so she's holding her breath and touching a screw.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Oh, right.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: And then you're really screwed if you don't pass a white house.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And then you're like justifying in your head, well, I see one two blocks over.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Does that count?
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Or you're like, is that that it's like a light blue?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Ceiling.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we had to get white in there to make it light blue.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: That's exactly right.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: You also were talking this morning about nagging, which I hate, hate that word.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I know you do.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Uh you are a different kind.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna say you're a different kind of nager.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: You're different.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: You are passive aggressive, um, and and not overly repeaty, passive aggressive.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Consistently passive aggressive.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, you get in the near the word repeating.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: But but there's something that all couples do, and I think this prevents any future nagging.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Do you ever FaceTime Tiffany while you're in a store to make sure that you got the right thing?
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm pretty sure I have, yeah, absolutely.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Normally what'll happen, let me tell you.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: So when she sends the bald guy to get her hairspray, that's always funny.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, I've got a good one from Sam the other day.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: I'll be damned if the Suave people don't change their logoing on their bottle.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: She uses normal.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: It's not the same from 1995 when you had a full head of hair.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: No smart ass.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: How about every every other month?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Why do you have to change your logoing every other month?
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, so I'm always like, send me the picture.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So I know exactly which one to get, which never matches the one that's on the shelf because Target has a different logoed one than wherever.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: And uh I but I've absolutely FaceTimed her with stuff.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: And and I just do that because I feel that's the more that's are you ready for this?
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: You ready for this BS line?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: That is advanced uh uh Nag prevention?
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Uh no, that is it uh the word I'm looking for.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: It's coming to me.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I had it and then it left me because it was so full of crap.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Um it it is um I'm waiting.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Not complimentary uh uh respect.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: It is advanced respectfulness to her needs.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I told you that was gonna dig deep.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Well, I know I agree because there is of course there's things I'm particular about.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: I'm uh I'm somebody who uh well obviously we found out this morning likes to be in control.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Um but also there's things I like.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry, we just found that out this morning.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I've been knowing this for 20 years.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: All right, well, 18.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: The first two years you let me boss you around.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Then it was like, I got this.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: I know how it works.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: But I'm very particular on the kind of yogurt I have.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, great example.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Because I'm not a yogurt guy, so I'm not gonna know your feet smell in yogurt from you know the sugary crap that you don't want.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Yes, because they're like the it's like this Siggy's, I think it's called Siggies.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Not the kinds you smoke, but the kinds you might have to face tab you on that.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Did you want the new porch or did you want the or did you want the coffee Siggy's Icelandic skir, whatever?
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: And it's always here's another one.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: What a what a hurdle in a relationship.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: Have you ever had to go get tampons?
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Um, years ago, I think I grabbed a some from I think it was with my ex-wife.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: It's the hard I know, but it's the hardest thing to ask when you're first starting in a relationship because there's an emergency.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And then that's something women are very particular about.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Well, that one, and I will tell you, at one point I made the mistake of getting the wrong pads.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I thought all pads were the same.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: No.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, this thing was like a sponge you'd wash your car with.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: The ones that are in every school.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Every time you, if you had an emergency room in school, and every woman completely understands this.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: It was this.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: This is a memory from about 30 years ago, but I'll never forget.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: She hope looks at it.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: What?
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: What?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Like, well, I thought you detail the car after you get your period rolling.
