- 0:30Speaker 2: All right, So, as you guys know, Greg Bovino is
- 0:33Speaker 2: out of Minneapolis and Tom Homan has been brought in.
- 0:37Speaker 2: He has met with the governor and the mayor and
- 0:39Speaker 2: other stakeholders on the ground, and this morning he gave
- 0:42Speaker 2: a press conference in which he said a number of
- 0:45Speaker 2: rather interesting things. Let's go ahead and take a listen
- 0:47Speaker 2: to a bit of that.
- 0:48Speaker 4: I had a very good meeting Turner General General Alison,
- 0:55Speaker 4: and he has clarify for me at Keunty Jails may
- 0:59Speaker 4: notify Ice of the release dates of criminal public speak
- 1:05Speaker 4: customers upon the release, and let me tell you what that's.
- 1:15Speaker 4: I know people are a lot of concerned, but the
- 1:17Speaker 4: man power has been saying in law enforcement man power
- 1:20Speaker 4: looks many times before I've spent give us access to
- 1:28Speaker 4: the illegal and public and the safety and security of
- 1:31Speaker 4: the kre It's common sense. It's safer for the community,
- 1:36Speaker 4: it's safer for the agents, and they're safer for the aim.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Does anything happen to it just makes common sense. And
- 1:45Speaker 4: to the people that argue that we're welcoming, we want
- 1:49Speaker 4: victims and witnesses of crime that are here illegally to
- 1:53Speaker 4: feel safe to come the police without fear to work
- 1:56Speaker 4: with ice. We're not going to talk to the victim
- 2:01Speaker 4: witness the crime. There's no problem there. They should feel
- 2:05Speaker 4: safe to come to police and ask for help. All
- 2:08Speaker 4: we want is talk to the person that local and
- 2:12Speaker 4: state law enforcement authorities a lot in the jail set.
- 2:17Speaker 4: They chose the locked this personnel. That's where we want
- 2:20Speaker 4: to talk to the public. So that argument is that
- 2:25Speaker 4: the victim, what is the crime? Thanks crap.
- 2:31Speaker 2: So a couple of noteworthy things there. He's saying he's
- 2:33Speaker 2: going to get more cooperation from local officials in terms
- 2:37Speaker 2: of you know, uh, the public safety threats who were
- 2:40Speaker 2: held in local jails being able to be given directly
- 2:43Speaker 2: to ICE and then you know, presumably deported.
- 2:46Speaker 5: And the other thing he.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Says there, Sager is you know, he really portrays it. Oh,
- 2:50Speaker 2: we don't want to of course, we wouldn't do anything
- 2:52Speaker 2: with the victims of crimes. Meanwhile, we see of course
- 2:55Speaker 2: them doing these like street sweeps, and that the vast
- 2:58Speaker 2: majority of the people they are picking up our you know,
- 3:00Speaker 2: people who don't have criminal records, so very dissonant from
- 3:03Speaker 2: what the reality has been of their approach on the ground.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Let me play one more part and i'll get your
- 3:08Speaker 2: reaction to this as well, where he indicates that as
- 3:11Speaker 2: a result of what he's framing as increased coordination with
- 3:16Speaker 2: local officials, increased cooperation with local officials, that they are
- 3:19Speaker 2: going to do a quote unquote draw down. Let's listen
- 3:22Speaker 2: to that.
- 3:23Speaker 4: This is common sense cooperation that allows to draw down
- 3:27Speaker 4: and the number of people we have here, Yes, I
- 3:30Speaker 4: said it drawled down a number of people here because
- 3:33Speaker 4: we have the efficiency and safety of the jails in
- 3:37Speaker 4: a prison that's huge.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yeah, So we'll see.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You know, there have been thousands of federal agents which
- 3:45Speaker 2: have been sent to Minneapolis, you know, the Minneapolis region,
- 3:48Speaker 2: and these are not huge cities there by the way,
- 3:51Speaker 2: And to put things in perspective, the local police force,
- 3:53Speaker 2: I think is only six hundred people, and so you've
- 3:56Speaker 2: had thousands more federal agents then you have local police.
- 4:00Speaker 2: We'll see what the numbers are, we'll see what the
- 4:02Speaker 2: tactics are all of that, but at least you know
- 4:05Speaker 2: in this moment they want to step back from the brink,
- 4:08Speaker 2: and we can get into, you know, why they may
- 4:10Speaker 2: be taking that tactic at this moment.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Well, there were a couple other comments because it's kind
- 4:14Speaker 3: of difficult. This was all breaking while we were doing
- 4:16Speaker 3: the show. But let me explain here. He says, quote,
- 4:19Speaker 3: I am not here because of the federal government has
- 4:22Speaker 3: carried out its mission out perfectly. I do not want
- 4:24Speaker 3: to hear everything has been done here has been perfect.
- 4:27Speaker 3: The direct shot right there at Greg Bavino, who specifically
- 4:31Speaker 3: had said that every single thing that they had done
- 4:33Speaker 3: had been expert, had been lawful. Same thing at Stephen Miller.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Another big one that he said is I'm not here
- 4:40Speaker 3: for headlines and for photo shoots. So that is a
- 4:43Speaker 3: huge shot across the bow at Christy Nome obviously, who
- 4:48Speaker 3: many of you probably have seen on your television screen
- 4:50Speaker 3: after spending a quarter billion dollars on an advertising campaign
- 4:54Speaker 3: for DHS and for herself. So I think this is
- 4:57Speaker 3: a highly noteworthy thing. And as you said, it had
- 5:01Speaker 3: to thread the needle this press conference and taking it
- 5:03Speaker 3: all in, it had to thread the needle of being
- 5:05Speaker 3: look immigrations on stopping.
- 5:07Speaker 1: But we're here to cooperate.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yes, we somewhat disagree with Minnesota, but he said draw
- 5:12Speaker 3: down at the end of the day. And if you
- 5:14Speaker 3: read between the lines basically and all of this, this
- 5:16Speaker 3: is effectively, you know, a rhetorical surrender now from the
- 5:19Speaker 3: Trump administration, because not only has he been put into
- 5:22Speaker 3: place Greg Bavino, who's basically been booted and demoted from
- 5:26Speaker 3: his job, Kirsty Gnome not appearing to have authority over
- 5:30Speaker 3: these missions. He's saying that he is another thing that
- 5:33Speaker 3: has not taken as much notice as he continues to
- 5:36Speaker 3: emphasize targeted. Now, let's be clear, Ice has always claimed
- 5:40Speaker 3: that these are targeted operations, but he's been very specific
- 5:43Speaker 3: saying we're going to be targeting specifically criminals, people you know,
- 5:47Speaker 3: As I said, it's kind of hard to parse because
- 5:49Speaker 3: they've always said that and it does remain to be
- 5:51Speaker 3: seen whether it is true or not. However, if it
- 5:55Speaker 3: were to be put into practice, it would mark a
- 5:58Speaker 3: change in their strategy. I do think we should also know,
- 6:01Speaker 3: since Alex Prettes has has killed, we have not seen
- 6:04Speaker 3: a lot of viral videos that have been coming out
- 6:06Speaker 3: of the state of Minnesota or the city of Minneapolis.
- 6:10Speaker 3: There have been not nearly the same level generally since
- 6:13Speaker 3: Homan has been put into charge. There was a memo
- 6:16Speaker 3: that has been circulating internally apparently where they talk specifically
- 6:20Speaker 3: about the change in targeting. Again, difficult to say because
- 6:25Speaker 3: that kind of contradicts a previous memo. There's also so
- 6:28Speaker 3: much information warfare happening. Bevino is very clearly leaking behind
- 6:33Speaker 3: the scenes to all of his you know, influencer friends,
- 6:37Speaker 3: you know, who are trying to criticize Tom Homan. Don't forget,
- 6:39Speaker 3: Lewandowski has the phone number for every reporter in Washington
- 6:44Speaker 3: and or many of these were, so it's not like
- 6:46Speaker 3: he is in counter leaking. And there's quite a bit
- 6:49Speaker 3: of you know, internal warfare that is happening, and that
- 6:52Speaker 3: I just want to state that because it makes it
- 6:54Speaker 3: very difficult to parse what's happening so far. Seems like
- 6:59Speaker 3: Homan is in charge and his general direction is the
- 7:02Speaker 3: one where things are going to go. As always with
- 7:05Speaker 3: things Trump, it could all change literally at any moment.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Trump needed an escapegoat, and I think, you know, for now,
- 7:12Speaker 2: Bovino in particular, and to a lesser extent, Christ you
- 7:15Speaker 2: knowhim and Corey Lewandowski are serving that role. Like I
- 7:18Speaker 2: want everybody to understand who Tom Holman is if they
- 7:20Speaker 2: don't already. I mean, he was one of the architects
- 7:22Speaker 2: of the family separation policy in the first Trump term,
- 7:27Speaker 2: so you know, this is not someone who is soft
- 7:30Speaker 2: when it comes to mass deportation whatsoever. The way I
- 7:33Speaker 2: would look at this, and I think we can put
- 7:35Speaker 2: the Susan Collins piece up on the screen as well,
- 7:37Speaker 2: because I think that this dovetails with this what I
- 7:40Speaker 2: would describe as a tactical retreat in Minneapolis. Susan Collins
- 7:45Speaker 2: is also saying that they have indicated they are ending
- 7:49Speaker 2: the increased operations in Maine.
- 7:53Speaker 5: You know they This makes sense to me.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Again, We'll see what actually happens here, and if that
- 7:59Speaker 2: is accurate, But it does make sense to me in
- 8:01Speaker 2: a sense from a political perspective. Why because they want
- 8:05Speaker 2: Susan Collins to be able to hold on to that seat.
- 8:08Speaker 2: She is the most endangered incumbent in the entire Senate,
- 8:13Speaker 2: and I think it's frankly, very unlikely that she is
- 8:16Speaker 2: able to hold onto that seat. But if they go
- 8:19Speaker 2: in guns blazing and have a Minneapolis style occupation of
- 8:23Speaker 2: the state of Maine, you can kiss that Senate seat goodbye.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It is not happening. So I think there was a
- 8:29Speaker 2: you know, political decision that was made there. I was
- 8:32Speaker 2: showing you the I shared the DMS the map of
- 8:35Speaker 2: where the most aggressive like on the street roundups were occurring,
- 8:40Speaker 2: and it's very clear a partisan divide here, like blue
- 8:43Speaker 2: states are being hit, Red states are not.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Actually Christy Noam's own state.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Of South Dakota has been like completely ignored in the
- 8:51Speaker 2: immigration enforcement action. So if you're an Iowa farmer or
- 8:54Speaker 2: a meat packing plant that is, you know that employs
- 8:57Speaker 2: a bunch of undocumented immigrants, you probably have had faced
- 9:00Speaker 2: a lot of immigration enforcement action. Because, as I've been
- 9:03Speaker 2: making the case, yes this is about immigration, it's also
- 9:06Speaker 2: about using this juiced up, massively funded ice army effectively
- 9:13Speaker 2: to go after your political opponents. So it is being
- 9:16Speaker 2: wielded as a political weapon, which is why it makes
- 9:19Speaker 2: sense that you may have this retreat, genuine retreat in Maine.
- 9:24Speaker 2: The other piece here sager that I think you know
- 9:26Speaker 2: you actually flagged. I was a little bit skeptical of,
- 9:28Speaker 2: but I've now been completely persuaded of is you have
- 9:31Speaker 2: Right now, Democrats have a little bit of leverage with
- 9:34Speaker 2: regard to funding. Trump does not want the funding for
- 9:39Speaker 2: his like pratorian guard here to be taken away. So
- 9:43Speaker 2: he is in a precarious position right now where the
- 9:46Speaker 2: politics of this have been horrendous for him, where even
- 9:50Speaker 2: you have a number of Republicans, it's like twenty seven
- 9:52Speaker 2: percent of Republicans that think alex Party was effectively murdered
- 9:57Speaker 2: in the street for no reason. So it's a political
- 10:00Speaker 2: optical disaster, and coming at a moment when Democrats actually
- 10:04Speaker 2: have a little bit of leverage where they could cut
- 10:07Speaker 2: the funding at least back to you know what the
- 10:09Speaker 2: levels were prior to the one big beautiful bill that
- 10:13Speaker 2: surged the funding by some sixty six percent.
- 10:16Speaker 5: So we can put the New York Times.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Tearsheet up on the screen that had some of the
- 10:21Speaker 2: details here, and I'm just going to read a bit
- 10:23Speaker 2: from this because I think it is significant. So Trump
- 10:27Speaker 2: and Schumer met moved on Wednesday night toward a possible
- 10:31Speaker 2: agreement to negotiate new restrictions on federal immigration agents, potentially
- 10:35Speaker 2: averting a government shutdown early Saturday, when funding for multiple
- 10:39Speaker 2: federal agencies is slated to laps. Under the emerging plan,
- 10:42Speaker 2: according to two officials knowledgeable about it, the Senate would
- 10:44Speaker 2: split off legislation funding DHS from a six bill package
- 10:48Speaker 2: of spending measures. The Senate would pass those bills before
- 10:52Speaker 2: a Friday midnight deadline, and Congress would also consider a
- 10:56Speaker 2: short term extension for homeland security operations, which would prevent
- 11:00Speaker 2: an interruption of services. Then that stopgap bill would give
- 11:04Speaker 2: time for talks between lawmakers and the White House to
- 11:08Speaker 2: draft a new homeland security spending bill that would include
- 11:10Speaker 2: new restrictions Democrats have demanded on the tactics of immigration
- 11:14Speaker 2: enforcement officers and more accountability for those accused of using
- 11:17Speaker 2: excessive force. So the TLDR here is that they would
- 11:22Speaker 2: split the bills apart.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Okay, the other bills.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Funding bills would pass a continuing resolution for DHS stop
- 11:32Speaker 2: gap like a temporary one would also pass, and then
- 11:35Speaker 2: Democrats and Republicans would negotiate, not on funding levels, but
- 11:40Speaker 2: on things like they can't wear masks anymore, or they
- 11:43Speaker 2: have to wear body cameras, or we're going to have
- 11:46Speaker 2: and these are specifics. I'm not making these up. These
- 11:48Speaker 2: are some of the specifics that have been floated. Or
- 11:51Speaker 2: you know that there's got to be some sort of
- 11:53Speaker 2: a process that plays out when you have ICE agents
- 11:56Speaker 2: or CBP who are shooting people. Again, those things don't
- 12:00Speaker 2: touch the funding, and the funding is the most critical
- 12:03Speaker 2: thing because listen, there's already all sorts of laws and
- 12:07Speaker 2: guidelines and regulations around the way that these guys are
- 12:10Speaker 2: supposed to operate that they just completely flout. So those
- 12:13Speaker 2: things in a sense are relatively minor or unenforceable, but
- 12:17Speaker 2: they allow Democrats to claim like, oh my god, we
- 12:19Speaker 2: did something, we stood up to Trump, and allows Trump
- 12:22Speaker 2: to keep the size of his immigration enforcement budget, which
- 12:27Speaker 2: he is using not only for immigration enforcement but as
- 12:29Speaker 2: a tool and a weapon against political opposition.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Well, we've seen also though we shouldn't forget DHS and
- 12:34Speaker 3: ICE has all the funding that they need from the
- 12:36Speaker 3: one big beautiful bill. So you couldn't actually really hold
- 12:39Speaker 3: up all of the ice funding. You could, however, just
- 12:42Speaker 3: inflict pain on general DHS and you can use it
- 12:45Speaker 3: as leverage to try and to get some of these concessions.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I mean, at the end of the day, rolling back
- 12:50Speaker 3: ice funding is just not going to happen. You don't
- 12:51Speaker 3: have control over it. You're going to have to win
- 12:53Speaker 3: control of a Chamber of Congress in order to actually
- 12:56Speaker 3: try and get.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Any of that done.
- 12:58Speaker 3: You could, you know, actually hold it up and ignite
- 13:01Speaker 3: a massive government shutdown, which is kind of why I
- 13:05Speaker 3: find this. I mean, I would see this as more
- 13:07Speaker 3: of a retreat from the Democrats because an immediate cr
- 13:11Speaker 3: gives six weeks to the administration. I mean, anything can
- 13:15Speaker 3: happen in six weeks. To put it in context, it
- 13:18Speaker 3: hasn't even been six weeks since we kidnap a durea.
- 13:21Speaker 3: It feels like a million mile you know, a million
- 13:23Speaker 3: years ago, but it hasn't even been That's what six
- 13:25Speaker 3: weeks is in our current modern times. We don't know
- 13:28Speaker 3: yet whether they're going to agree to it or not.
- 13:31Speaker 3: They could enforce some sort you know, only we were
- 13:33Speaker 3: talking about mass about some of the other protocol and
- 13:35Speaker 3: I wouldn't poop poo it just as much, Crystal, because
- 13:37Speaker 3: you know, this can all be used if it is
- 13:40Speaker 3: forced into law, and if let's say that Democrats do
- 13:42Speaker 3: come into power in the House, at the very least
- 13:45Speaker 3: you can use that as an investigatory tool and a
- 13:48Speaker 3: method in the future and the potential like either future prosecution, violation,
- 13:52Speaker 3: you know, investigation, oversight, et cetera. At the end of
- 13:54Speaker 3: the day, you do not have control overall chambers, and
- 13:56Speaker 3: you're not completely in power. You're not going to get,
- 13:59Speaker 3: you know, even remotely all of what you want. But
- 14:01Speaker 3: they are extracting at this current moment some culture. Now
- 14:05Speaker 3: we don't know yet you know what those things are
- 14:08Speaker 3: going to look like. But in the broader context of
- 14:10Speaker 3: Homan and of the way that the administration has now
- 14:13Speaker 3: clearly operate, they're operating in a way where it is
- 14:16Speaker 3: full retreat. So you've already seen, you know, for example,
- 14:20Speaker 3: of the Stephen Miller Chirsty Nomes stuff that you guys
- 14:23Speaker 3: covered yesterday, where Christy Nooman was like, hey, I'm just
- 14:25Speaker 3: listening to Stephen Miller. You saw Trump throw Bavino completely
- 14:29Speaker 3: under the bus. He's like, he's a good guy, but
- 14:31Speaker 3: in this one instance, you know, basically called him a
- 14:33Speaker 3: screw up or something, saying he's been demoted.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Now you've got Tom Homan who is here, and.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Clearly like all sides are looking for some sort of
- 14:42Speaker 3: off ramp from Minnesota officials, Tom Homan and others. And
- 14:47Speaker 3: so this was I think a major turning point. We
- 14:50Speaker 3: just don't know whether it's going to last and what
- 14:53Speaker 3: that will look like. And then also how the opposition
- 14:57Speaker 3: is going to respond with this cr you know, continuing resolution. Uh.
- 15:02Speaker 3: With the Senate Democrats, I don't know, you know, because
- 15:05Speaker 3: remember they've got their.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Own base too.
- 15:07Speaker 3: If they actually don't, I mean, I think six weeks
- 15:09Speaker 3: would be a political disaster for them. They're gonna be like, really,
- 15:11Speaker 3: you just continue to fund it for six months, You've
- 15:14Speaker 3: got nothing from it. So they have got to get
- 15:16Speaker 3: something as a result of this. And the fact that,
- 15:20Speaker 3: you know, even if it is a partial government shutdown,
- 15:22Speaker 3: which was looking likely but no longer looks as likely
- 15:26Speaker 3: with the potential continuing continuing resolution, I think a lot
- 15:29Speaker 3: of the Democratic base would be furious with them, and
- 15:32Speaker 3: they have to think about that too, And whether you know,
- 15:34Speaker 3: which of these democratic lawmakers are going to go along
- 15:37Speaker 3: if they don't see any sort of pathway to get something.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Because one theory right now is that Trump is being
- 15:43Speaker 3: conciliatory only because he wants he doesn't want the government
- 15:47Speaker 3: to shut down. He just doesn't want to have to
- 15:48Speaker 3: deal with that. Yeah, that's and so the moment you
- 15:51Speaker 3: pass a six week continuing resolution, you lose a ton
- 15:54Speaker 3: of leverage. I mean, there could be an Iran war
- 15:57Speaker 3: that breaks out, you know, in the in the interim.
- 16:00Speaker 3: It could, so the entire nation's politics would be different
- 16:03Speaker 3: six weeks from now, and then what will the argument be, Oh,
- 16:05Speaker 3: we have to fund the government because we have a
- 16:08Speaker 3: war that's happening right now. Right that's literally, I mean
- 16:11Speaker 3: you could see that happening very clearly. So anyway, I mean,
- 16:14Speaker 3: I do think it's I do think it's interesting. I've
- 16:16Speaker 3: never seen them back down like this before ever in
- 16:18Speaker 3: the second administration, not even close.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And I do think it has.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Caused a serious reshaping of the White House's kind of
- 16:27Speaker 3: theory of immigration enforcement. The only question is about lasting
- 16:32Speaker 3: and about what that will look like.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's I mean, in my view, it is
- 16:36Speaker 2: a total taco from the dums to your point or doco.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Dems always check it out.
- 16:42Speaker 2: It's a total doco from the dums who are always
- 16:46Speaker 2: looking for I mean, the Schumer led dums are always
- 16:48Speaker 2: looking for a way to cave right, and so I
- 16:51Speaker 2: think they have found their way. And I think it's
- 16:54Speaker 2: a partial taco from Trump because I am very skeptical
- 16:58Speaker 2: that this is anything more than a tactical retreat that
- 17:00Speaker 2: we won't see, you know, another occupation of a city
- 17:05Speaker 2: that pisses him off for whatever reason, that we will
- 17:07Speaker 2: see a shift in tactics, because I think this is
- 17:10Speaker 2: very central to the way that they the way that
- 17:13Speaker 2: they operate. And you know, Steven Miller is still going
- 17:14Speaker 2: to be in there. He's not going anywhere, and this
- 17:17Speaker 2: is ultimately this is his baby, you know. I also
- 17:21Speaker 2: I see the nature of not just Ice, but specifically
- 17:25Speaker 2: iceed a bit differently than you do. Like I, yes,
- 17:29Speaker 2: immigration is the pretext, but the people who have been
- 17:32Speaker 2: battling in the streets in Minneapolis largely not immigrants versus
- 17:36Speaker 2: ICE agents. It's largely and this will actually transition us
- 17:38Speaker 2: to the new video with regard to Alex Pretty it's
- 17:41Speaker 2: largely like white liberals and you know, rural conservative ICE agents.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You know, it is this sort of like low grade
- 17:49Speaker 2: ideological skirmish, and it has been deployed intentionally in that way.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I mean, going to Minneapolis. Just if your actual concern
- 17:58Speaker 2: is immigration, going to Minneapolis makes zero sense because there's
- 18:03Speaker 2: a proportionally very low number of undocumented immigrants there. You know,
- 18:09Speaker 2: there's a large Somali community, the vast majority of them
- 18:12Speaker 2: are American citizens. This is not a hotbed of undocumented
- 18:17Speaker 2: immigration at all. There are many other places that you
- 18:20Speaker 2: would target before you targeted Minneapolis. But in Minneapolis, you
- 18:25Speaker 2: have a governor that is hated, you have a mayor
- 18:27Speaker 2: that is hated. You have this whole Somali fraud thing
- 18:30Speaker 2: which they make a lot of political hay out of.
- 18:32Speaker 5: You have the legacy of the.
- 18:33Speaker 2: George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter protests that put
- 18:36Speaker 2: paints a target on Minneapolis's back. So that's why I
- 18:39Speaker 2: see ICE much more the way it is wielded as
- 18:42Speaker 2: a force against political opposition than it is even centrally
- 18:46Speaker 2: about immigration.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Well, it can be partially true, I think, I think
- 18:50Speaker 3: I think all of these are partially true. Two hundred
- 18:52Speaker 3: and fifty thousand people who have been deported. That is
- 18:54Speaker 3: the vast, vast more in one year than the entire
- 18:56Speaker 3: Biden administration actually deported, not fake like Obama and Biden
- 19:00Speaker 3: in terms of turning people over. So you can't say
- 19:03Speaker 3: that it hasn't been deporting people. They obviously have been.
- 19:06Speaker 2: And yes, I mean, oh, I'm not saying I'm not
- 19:08Speaker 2: saying that there's not a reality of mass I.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Do you think that's important because people are like, oh,
- 19:13Speaker 3: well they're not even It's like, no, that's literally bullshit,
- 19:15Speaker 3: like that is there actually are like a large amount
- 19:18Speaker 3: of deportations that are.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Happening now to the way that it has been enforced.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean if someone asked somebody, I think you
- 19:25Speaker 3: asked me on the show, You're like, why are they
- 19:26Speaker 3: in Minneapolis?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Yeah, because's anike surely video. I'm not gonna say.
- 19:29Speaker 3: That it's all purely because of proportionality or of I'm sorry,
- 19:34Speaker 3: not in terms of proportionality in terms of the illegal population.
- 19:38Speaker 3: A lot of this is about shockunaw tactic. It's specifically
- 19:42Speaker 3: about sanctuary cities too, and I do think that's one
- 19:44Speaker 3: part that Democrats don't want to talk about, is that
- 19:46Speaker 3: sanctuary cities are literally a magnet not only for illegal migration,
- 19:50Speaker 3: but do create these types of situations where there's a
- 19:52Speaker 3: lot of lack of cooperation from the cities, the jails, prisons,
- 19:57Speaker 3: et cetera. And in terms of sharing that information with
- 20:00Speaker 3: like Minneapolis, for example, actually had more of an extreme
- 20:03Speaker 3: way of cooperation with ICE than even the state of California,
- 20:06Speaker 3: just to put it into perspective. So it's not like
- 20:09Speaker 3: it also wasn't an outlier. Now, let's be clear that
- 20:12Speaker 3: certainly was part of a campaign to trying to pressure
- 20:15Speaker 3: the state or the city of Minneapolis into changing their.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Policy, which by the way, is illegal currently under federal law.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I'm I'm being very clear and like trying to spread
- 20:25Speaker 3: the needle about yes, there's a sanctuary seri of reality,
- 20:28Speaker 3: there's also about pressure. There's also actual deportation, which is happening.
- 20:33Speaker 3: And so that's why, I mean, you know, there is
- 20:35Speaker 3: no like full defense really of a lot of their conduct.
- 20:37Speaker 3: A lot of this really was you know, yes, a
- 20:39Speaker 3: lot of it is about political retribution.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't think that that's necessarily deniable. I don't.
- 20:44Speaker 3: I mean, I would say Trump has taken it to
- 20:46Speaker 3: an extreme. I don't think it's exactly like completely out
- 20:49Speaker 3: the realm of possibility for how a lot of politics
- 20:52Speaker 3: has operated. However, by being so extreme and turning this
- 20:56Speaker 3: into this clash, this is why I think that he
- 20:58Speaker 3: has lost and the Republicans have lost a lot of
- 21:02Speaker 3: the messaging around immigration because and let's say clear, it's
- 21:05Speaker 3: a reality problem, but they had high rhetorical ground on
- 21:09Speaker 3: immigration and unmastered deportation.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I think that's undeniable.
- 21:11Speaker 3: The way that they have created and you know, chaos
- 21:14Speaker 3: and other in the cities, they have started to make
- 21:17Speaker 3: it so that people are like, well, hold on, I
- 21:19Speaker 3: was upset about chaos and immigration, illegal immigration specifically, but
- 21:22Speaker 3: it looks like you guys are the ones who are
- 21:24Speaker 3: currently out of control. That's what's caused a lot of
- 21:27Speaker 3: the discourse, and especially in the wake of Renee Good
- 21:30Speaker 3: And it's really after Alex Preddy, which I think again
- 21:33Speaker 3: I think is a genuine turning point I think for
- 21:35Speaker 3: the Trump administration. So looking forward, the question for them
- 21:39Speaker 3: is how can you possibly get back to where you are?
- 21:43Speaker 3: This would require a significant change not only in ice behavior,
- 21:48Speaker 3: but really it kind of gets to what you're talking
- 21:50Speaker 3: about where you were talking about Iowa you know, Iowa
- 21:53Speaker 3: and some of these red states.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Yeah, here's the truth.
- 21:57Speaker 3: A lot of these people, you know, the Iowa met packers,
- 21:59Speaker 3: a lot of them are Republican donors. They're super rich,
- 22:01Speaker 3: and that's always been the big tension in the Republican Party.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Capital or class right, And part of the issue right
- 22:08Speaker 3: now is that we are not doing you know, Florida
- 22:11Speaker 3: very competently had mandatory everify and they didn't have to
- 22:14Speaker 3: do literally any of this.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And guess you know, you.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Maybe bitchin and moaned about it and saying, oh, but
- 22:19Speaker 3: people are not showing enough to the job sites, but there.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Weren't crazy ass videos in the streets.
- 22:23Speaker 3: And buy and large, the pushback was not all that
- 22:26Speaker 3: politically like horrible for Ron DeSantis.
- 22:29Speaker 1: That is a very simple way.
- 22:30Speaker 3: We could also immediately tax remittances, which would effectively nuke
- 22:34Speaker 3: the entire illegal migrant you know, sending money back home
- 22:38Speaker 3: through the illegitimate banking system. That similarly would invite mass
- 22:42Speaker 3: self deportit. Again, you can cry about that because if
- 22:45Speaker 3: you think that they should be here, but that is
- 22:47Speaker 3: a very simple way going after employers using the irs.
- 22:52Speaker 3: For example, if people are not reporting any of this stuff, properly.
- 22:56Speaker 3: All of that actually would be a far more effective
- 22:59Speaker 3: way to systemically do And I said it would also
- 23:02Speaker 3: ignore a lot of the civil liberties concerns now that
- 23:05Speaker 3: are undeniable, you know, around all this. So maybe this
- 23:11Speaker 3: is a good way transition to the new video that
- 23:14Speaker 3: we have about Alex pretty some what is it eleven
- 23:17Speaker 3: days prior to him being killed?
- 23:20Speaker 1: Do we want to go ahead and play it?
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, let's go ahead and queue that up. And this
- 23:25Speaker 2: is footage it was before you put it on the screen.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Just to clear things up. I'm forgetting the name of
- 23:31Speaker 2: the news outlet that recorded this, but it was initially
- 23:34Speaker 2: shared that this came from the BBC. It did not
- 23:36Speaker 2: come from the BBC, but VBC Verify did verify I.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Alex Party's family has now confirmed that this is Alex
- 23:45Speaker 2: Party in a confrontation with iSER CBP agents in Minneapolis,
- 23:50Speaker 2: eleven days before his shooting. So let's go ahead and
- 23:54Speaker 2: put this up on the screen, and I can narrate
- 23:57Speaker 2: this a little. So you see him in the jacket,
- 23:59Speaker 2: I mean you can really Hell, this is obviously wearing
- 24:02Speaker 2: like the same type of outfit. He spits at them,
- 24:04Speaker 2: he yells at them and then he kicks out their
- 24:07Speaker 2: tail light. They then come and jump out of this
- 24:11Speaker 2: vehicle and you know, accost him. They actually don't arrest him,
- 24:15Speaker 2: They just you know, have this fight with him. We
- 24:17Speaker 2: had known before that he had had his ribs broken
- 24:20Speaker 2: by ice, and presumably, you know, we don't know for sure,
- 24:23Speaker 2: presumably this is the interaction that led to his ribs
- 24:26Speaker 2: being broken. Here, So before I offer my thoughts, Soccer,
- 24:30Speaker 2: what were your thoughts on this video?
- 24:33Speaker 3: Well, I mean there's so much to say, because really
- 24:36Speaker 3: what has come out is people are like, see, this
- 24:39Speaker 3: is why I deserve to get shot. And you know,
- 24:41Speaker 3: I have talked previously about how this is kind of
- 24:43Speaker 3: a Waco moment for me, and it kind of reminds
- 24:45Speaker 3: me similarly. They're like, oh, David Korash he was a
- 24:48Speaker 3: pedophile and he was and I go, yeah, yeah, that's true. Okay,
- 24:51Speaker 3: yeah it was bad guy. Okay, No one's saying that.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Did that mean you should burn women and children alive
- 24:57Speaker 3: in this in the compound at Waco?
- 25:00Speaker 1: Answer is no? And so that puts really really frustrating
- 25:03Speaker 1: to me.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Is that?
- 25:04Speaker 3: And I'm not defending Alex Bridge. Frankly, I think he
- 25:07Speaker 3: looks unhinged in that he genuinely looked completely unhinged, and
- 25:11Speaker 3: he did commit a crime, specifically whenever he knocked out
- 25:14Speaker 3: the tail light. That does not merit execution. In fact,
- 25:17Speaker 3: by the way, you know, for all of this enforcement
- 25:19Speaker 3: of LOS stuff, why did they not arrest him? You know,
- 25:22Speaker 3: it's like this is where we talk about, you know,
- 25:24Speaker 3: law and order and all of that. We did just
- 25:27Speaker 3: in we just saw this mass arrest of people who
- 25:31Speaker 3: were protesters interfering with HSI or with IYES. He should
- 25:35Speaker 3: clearly have been arrested after this incident where he's spitting. Look,
- 25:40Speaker 3: put the spitting in all that shit, even though I
- 25:42Speaker 3: think that's I forget the case law kicking tail light
- 25:44Speaker 3: like it's open and shut, you know, right in terms
- 25:46Speaker 3: of attackinger law.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Yeah, probably, yeah, it's it's done right.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Like if you or I did that to any police,
- 25:52Speaker 3: think you're going to jail, and instead they just like
- 25:54Speaker 3: came out kind of like roughed him up and then.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Ran away, right, And it's like, guys.
- 25:59Speaker 3: That's also not the right way, right, So you see
- 26:01Speaker 3: like two sides of behavior here, which are unhinged and
- 26:05Speaker 3: out of control. If you'd been arrested hopefully this never
- 26:08Speaker 3: would have happened. So actually, there you go in terms
- 26:10Speaker 3: of law and order. But second, this doesn't mean he
- 26:13Speaker 3: deserved to get shot and killed. This again just like
- 26:16Speaker 3: Ruby Ridge, right, they're oh, Randy, well, actually did you
- 26:19Speaker 3: know he was a white supreme which by the way,
- 26:20Speaker 3: was kind of a lie, but you know, they're like, oh,
- 26:22Speaker 3: he was actually a white supremacist. I'm like, look, the core.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Question is should you shoot the guy's wife and dog? Period?
- 26:29Speaker 1: End of story? Was David Koresha bad dude? Yes? Did
- 26:33Speaker 1: that mean that we.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Should burnen these people alive and then cover up the
- 26:37Speaker 3: entire story? That's what I find really frustrating about it.
- 26:41Speaker 3: So okay, sure, yes, the what legal observer? You know, look,
- 26:45Speaker 3: I mean it's not a secret. I kind of saw
- 26:47Speaker 3: this with Renee Good too. Yes, some of these people
- 26:49Speaker 3: are troublemakers. It's not deniable. I don't even think that
- 26:51Speaker 3: the people on the street there would deny it like
- 26:54Speaker 3: blown like they want the chaos. And that's why I'm
- 26:56Speaker 3: not gonna completely absolve everybody of that out there. But
- 27:00Speaker 3: that doesn't really make any difference when you see the video,
- 27:04Speaker 3: and that's another gun thing you could make the argument
- 27:06Speaker 3: that what he did there was ten times worse than
- 27:09Speaker 3: what he did in the In the actual video of
- 27:12Speaker 3: the shooting, he had the gun visible, well, not just
- 27:15Speaker 3: the assault crystal. He had the gun visibly in his waistband.
- 27:19Speaker 3: By the way, it doesn't look holstered properly, So it
- 27:21Speaker 3: leave carrying and violating the creedive concealed carry. You do
- 27:26Speaker 3: not seek violent confrontation while you are carrying a firearm
- 27:30Speaker 3: openly and clearly making it and violating the law.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Like that is.
- 27:35Speaker 3: If that had been the precipitating event in which he
- 27:38Speaker 3: had gotten shot there, I mean, it would be a
- 27:40Speaker 3: very different story. Again, not saying it should have been,
- 27:43Speaker 3: but I'm saying it would have been a totally totally
- 27:45Speaker 3: different story. So that video only puts it in the
- 27:47Speaker 3: context of and I guess rarely what the Ride is
- 27:50Speaker 3: objecting to is people saying he was a peaceful protester
- 27:52Speaker 3: or whatever. It's like, okay, ye, yeah, I mean I'm
- 27:55Speaker 3: not not yes, he I think he clearly was a
- 27:57Speaker 3: violent agitator. Like I think that's pretty obvious that one video.
- 28:01Speaker 3: It still does not change that when he got shot
- 28:03Speaker 3: in the circumstances, again of a man's death in that instance.
- 28:08Speaker 3: If anything, maybe you could say he learned from his
- 28:09Speaker 3: behavior because he was acting very differently, you know, at
- 28:12Speaker 3: least I think whenever whenever he was in the video.
- 28:15Speaker 3: So anyway, that's not like my broad based thoughts. I'm
- 28:17Speaker 3: sure people will get upset because I said it a
- 28:19Speaker 3: violent agitator. I literally don't think it's deniable. I have
- 28:22Speaker 3: warned ad nauseum about liberal protest norms and about how
- 28:25Speaker 3: why they think they can seemingly just do whatever they want.
- 28:28Speaker 1: That's a good example of how.
- 28:29Speaker 3: You shouldn't be acting and is clearly going to diminish
- 28:33Speaker 3: your cause in the long run. But I'm also not
- 28:35Speaker 3: going to sit here and say, yeah, fuck hen we
- 28:37Speaker 3: deserve to die, because just like I said with Waco
- 28:40Speaker 3: or with Ruby Ridge, it does not like the character
- 28:42Speaker 3: precipitating the like trampling of Second Amendment rights, and death
- 28:48Speaker 3: in this clearly unjustified shooting is actually immaterial to how
- 28:53Speaker 3: you feel about not only the use of force in
- 28:55Speaker 3: the specific act in which Alex was killed, but also
- 28:59Speaker 3: in the administration reaction afterwards, because remember, they did not
- 29:03Speaker 3: know any of this prior to that right, so they
- 29:07Speaker 3: did not have any of this video calling him domestic
- 29:10Speaker 3: terrorists or saying he wanted to mask her.
- 29:12Speaker 1: They literally had no idea, they just said it.
- 29:14Speaker 3: And this is part of why, Like in a normal time,
- 29:16Speaker 3: he said, oh, we're gonna have an investigation, these agents
- 29:19Speaker 3: are going to be put on leave, and then you
- 29:20Speaker 3: could put together this whole thing. If they'd done that,
- 29:22Speaker 3: they'd be in ten times better ground. But that's not
- 29:24Speaker 3: what they did. Instead, you had Trump out yesterday and like, oh,
- 29:27Speaker 3: I'm really upset that he had a gun.
- 29:29Speaker 1: You know you can't do that.
- 29:30Speaker 2: So Trump, by the way, re posted a post on
- 29:35Speaker 2: I guess it was on true social that called him
- 29:37Speaker 2: a domestic terrorist again by the way, so he's back
- 29:39Speaker 2: to that language. But no, I mean, your core point
- 29:42Speaker 2: is correct that a video of him doing something eleven
- 29:44Speaker 2: days prior has literally nothing to do with the legal
- 29:47Speaker 2: analysis of whether it was appropriate for them to execute
- 29:49Speaker 2: him in the street. Zero to do with that right now.
- 29:53Speaker 2: The reason why I think this video has become important
- 29:58Speaker 2: to a lot of the psyche of the right is like,
- 30:02Speaker 2: let's be honest, they've been since he was killed. They've
- 30:04Speaker 2: been looking for some way to say this was a
- 30:06Speaker 2: bad guy, and he basically had it coming, and so
- 30:09Speaker 2: this gives them that ability to do that. In the
- 30:11Speaker 2: same way that the video of Renee Good and her wife,
- 30:16Speaker 2: where her wife is, you know, yelling at the agent
- 30:20Speaker 2: who ends up killing Renee Good, that served a similar purpose.
- 30:25Speaker 2: It didn't provide them with any more sort of like
- 30:28Speaker 2: legal justification, but it did mark Renee Good as one
- 30:31Speaker 2: of them as especially with you know, her wife being
- 30:34Speaker 2: the sort of like butch lesbian. It's like, Okay, this
- 30:36Speaker 2: is one of the bad guys. So now we don't
- 30:38Speaker 2: have to feel bad about this at all, I think,
- 30:39Speaker 2: and I think.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I think it's because she was screaming and yelling and look,
- 30:43Speaker 3: I mean, let's not like they're causing trouble. That's what
- 30:45Speaker 3: they wanted to do.
- 30:46Speaker 2: But that is But again, that's part of what I'm
- 30:50Speaker 2: saying here, is because because that doesn't have anything to
- 30:52Speaker 2: do with what her wife is doing, doesn't have anything
- 30:54Speaker 2: to do with Rene Good, but it marks them as
- 30:57Speaker 2: like they're they're on the other side, and so we
- 31:00Speaker 2: don't have to care. They deserved it, like they got
- 31:03Speaker 2: what they deserved. And so I think that is the
- 31:05Speaker 2: real significance of this video. There's one other thing that
- 31:08Speaker 2: I think could be significant about this video is we
- 31:11Speaker 2: know and you talk to Glad about this, and Ken
- 31:13Speaker 2: Clippenstein has done good reporting on this. We know that
- 31:16Speaker 2: all of these activists are being entered into a variety
- 31:19Speaker 2: of databases. In fact, Ken has a new piece ound
- 31:22Speaker 2: about he got how to whistleblower send him, you know,
- 31:26Speaker 2: a bunch of information about all of the different lists
- 31:29Speaker 2: that are being compiled. And so these activists are being tracked.
- 31:34Speaker 2: So it does make me wonder. You know, it's not
- 31:36Speaker 2: definitive here, but it actually does make me wonder, since
- 31:39Speaker 2: he had had this prior hostile interaction with these agents,
- 31:44Speaker 2: if he wasn't tracked and in a sense targeted, and
- 31:47Speaker 2: that that's part of why they came in so hot
- 31:49Speaker 2: when all he was doing in you know, when he
- 31:51Speaker 2: was murdered was just recording and then he's trying to
- 31:54Speaker 2: help this woman and nevertheless they're pepper spraying, they attack him,
- 31:58Speaker 2: they've got eight agents on him in et cetera. I
- 32:01Speaker 2: think that's a reasonable question to ask based on the
- 32:03Speaker 2: fact that we know that he had these you know
- 32:05Speaker 2: this at least this one prior interaction with them.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Look, it's definitely possible.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I mean, look, and this is what people can hate
- 32:11Speaker 3: me for saying it, but like this is this is
- 32:13Speaker 3: the where you're going to give credence to the idea
- 32:16Speaker 3: of keeping database. Like if you were out there attacking,
- 32:19Speaker 3: spitting and kicking and acting like a lunatic out in public,
- 32:22Speaker 3: Like yeah, you're not going to have a lot of sympathy.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Even said you know what the agent did in that situation,
- 32:30Speaker 2: what you're supposed to You're not supposed.
- 32:31Speaker 1: To get out.
- 32:31Speaker 2: You're supposed to get out, you know, you got your
- 32:33Speaker 2: buddies there, arrest him, right, There is a legal process
- 32:38Speaker 2: for handling this that doesn't involve now I'm going to
- 32:41Speaker 2: kick the shit out of you and break your ribs
- 32:43Speaker 2: and then you know, enter you in as a domestic
- 32:46Speaker 2: terrorist for kicking out my headlight and then possibly we
- 32:49Speaker 2: don't know this part, but possibly target you later on.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Like that is not remotely how any of this is
- 32:54Speaker 2: supposed to operate.
- 32:55Speaker 1: As said as.
- 32:56Speaker 5: You could be about his actions in that.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Moment, I agree, and I'm not just I'm talking about
- 33:01Speaker 3: Like again, this is why, much to the chagrin, I
- 33:04Speaker 3: talk about liberal protest norms, because this shit is way
- 33:07Speaker 3: to normalized and people are acting real fast and loose,
- 33:10Speaker 3: and we all know that if this had come out
- 33:12Speaker 3: to be like, oh, well, you know, he was just upset,
- 33:15Speaker 3: you know at the time, like, no, you cannot be
- 33:17Speaker 3: acting like a lunatic in public, destroying property, period, end
- 33:22Speaker 3: of story. Like that is this is why I freaked
- 33:24Speaker 3: out about the whole don Lemon thing. I mean, you
- 33:25Speaker 3: guys violate the social contract. Yeah, and then yeah, look.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Well people can people can go back and watch our debate,
- 33:32Speaker 2: which I really don't want to rehash.
- 33:33Speaker 1: I will not say.
- 33:34Speaker 2: For me, I think that law enforcement quote unquote professionals
- 33:39Speaker 2: should be held to a higher standard for de escalation
- 33:43Speaker 2: and professionalism than random citizens.
- 33:46Speaker 3: I agree with you, we just didn't excuse random citizens.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Random citizens shouldn't be acting like this, by the way,
- 33:51Speaker 3: who are also being massively funded and now supported.
- 33:54Speaker 1: And I do think that a large lot of the progression.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Wa what do you mean by that?
- 33:58Speaker 1: Well, look at.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Barack Obama just tweet out this whole link about how
- 34:01Speaker 3: to support financially a lot of the protesters that are
- 34:04Speaker 3: in Minneapolis. I'm not even saying it's illegal, Like, can
- 34:07Speaker 3: we be clear, It's fine. It's a free country. You
- 34:09Speaker 3: can donate to an NGO or whatever who's supporting the protests,
- 34:12Speaker 3: do what you want, like, come on, let's be on it.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Like the ICE database and all that just happened completely
- 34:17Speaker 3: out of nowhere, like somebody's paying for it. I'm not
- 34:19Speaker 3: saying it's domestic terrorism.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Let me clear. I'm not saying that. I just anything.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I don't want to be.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Really clear because there's a lot of conspiracy theories and
- 34:26Speaker 2: cash Matel's. FBI is investigating now this signal chat group,
- 34:31Speaker 2: which you know, I mean, there's nothing again illegal about
- 34:34Speaker 2: signal chats. Yes, protests are organized, like, yes, there is coordination.
- 34:39Speaker 2: That's that doesn't mean they're inorganic. It doesn't mean it's
- 34:42Speaker 2: like I didn't So yeah, I'm just I know you're
- 34:44Speaker 2: not saying. I just want to be clear because there's
- 34:46Speaker 2: a lot of conspiracies that this is some sort of
- 34:49Speaker 2: like inorganic I don't know, George Soros so whatever funded thing.
- 34:53Speaker 2: These are Minneapolis residents who are very upset. Are there
- 34:56Speaker 2: NGOs room? Is there a systematic you know, coordination through
- 34:59Speaker 2: these signals groups of whatever. Yeah, of course that's the
- 35:02Speaker 2: way like effective organizing actually works.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I take your point again, I'm not saying that this
- 35:08Speaker 3: is some you know, I've always believed, by the way
- 35:10Speaker 3: in January sixth case, in all of these cases that
- 35:13Speaker 3: you know, I don't think anybody's being paid by BLM
- 35:16Speaker 3: dot com to go out and to riot. That said,
- 35:19Speaker 3: you know, there were clearly NGOs and all these other
- 35:21Speaker 3: people who were involved. So things can be organic and
- 35:24Speaker 3: they can also be supported. And I do think that
- 35:26Speaker 3: people go way too far, both right and left. Everyone
- 35:28Speaker 3: always remember they said, oh, the tea party thing was
- 35:30Speaker 3: totally fake.
- 35:31Speaker 1: No it wasn't.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Sorry, Yes you may pay for buses, that doesn't mean
- 35:34Speaker 3: you can fill the buses. That's generally how this is
- 35:37Speaker 3: always operated. People are always screaming back and forward each
- 35:39Speaker 3: other about organic or inorganic. If tens of thousands of
- 35:42Speaker 3: people feel something, yes, there will also be organizations to
- 35:45Speaker 3: support that. So let me be And I've always held
- 35:46Speaker 3: that position. Now whenever it comes back to alex and
- 35:50Speaker 3: the reaction of this video, I remember now what I
- 35:52Speaker 3: was going to say. I do think this is part
- 35:54Speaker 3: of the issue. A lot of the progressive left press.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I'll call out SATAO for one, they were you know,
- 35:59Speaker 3: they put it out as if this was some sympathetic
- 36:01Speaker 3: incident before they had the information and this video it
- 36:05Speaker 3: makes them look bad like.
- 36:06Speaker 1: They were like, oh, he got his rib broken because
- 36:08Speaker 1: he was.
- 36:08Speaker 3: It's like, no, guys, he started it, like very clearly
- 36:12Speaker 3: he was started it, he initiated it, he continued it.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It looks bad for him.
- 36:16Speaker 3: And that's why I think people and by the way,
- 36:18Speaker 3: including the border patrol agents case, just snap coming out
- 36:22Speaker 3: and clearly saying like, oh did absolutely nothing wrong and
- 36:25Speaker 3: is a hero, is going to create the space to
- 36:28Speaker 3: make you look like an idiot. Like in this particular case,
- 36:30Speaker 3: Alex clearly was violent. He clearly was very upset. I
- 36:35Speaker 3: do not think that it means he deserved to die.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I do think that it's going to pierce a lot
- 36:41Speaker 3: of people's you know, you know the oh ICU nurse
- 36:44Speaker 3: and all. It's like, well, you know, acting like this
- 36:46Speaker 3: in public is a serious red flag, like end of story.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Period.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Yes, you have a right to be upset, you have
- 36:52Speaker 3: a right to peacefully protest, but your behavior as a
- 36:54Speaker 3: gun owner in that situation was out of control, completely
- 36:58Speaker 3: contrary to the norms, and in that particular case, like
- 37:01Speaker 3: or not just norms even in the law of the
- 37:03Speaker 3: way that you were conducting yourself while doing that that
- 37:06Speaker 3: was very, very out of bounds.
- 37:08Speaker 1: However, they didn't handle it properly.
- 37:10Speaker 3: And that's why I'm not going to sit here and
- 37:11Speaker 3: defend the ICE agents or any of those people. But
- 37:14Speaker 3: this is why, you know, general chaos, violence and actual
- 37:17Speaker 3: law and order is good. He should have been arrested.
- 37:19Speaker 3: If he had been, hopefully this never would have happened.
- 37:22Speaker 3: And instead, you know, I guess they just beat the
- 37:23Speaker 3: shit out of him and walked away and then it
- 37:25Speaker 3: leads to this horrible incident on later. So TLDR. This
- 37:29Speaker 3: is why law and order actually saves lives. And yes,
- 37:33Speaker 3: also no absolution whatsoever of the law enforcement officers here
- 37:37Speaker 3: who also handled clearly the situation poorly. I saw some
- 37:40Speaker 3: people blaming Minnesota. I don't see any reason why the
- 37:43Speaker 3: Feds can't arrest him. I mean, they've arrested plenty of
- 37:46Speaker 3: people in the state. Well, a lot of people were
- 37:50Speaker 3: saying the Minnesteta so state officials or city officials should
- 37:53Speaker 3: have arrested him as a result of the handles should
- 37:56Speaker 3: have helped after that incident, and they were like, see,
- 37:59Speaker 3: this is why you know, the police officers not doing anything.
- 38:02Speaker 3: I'm like, well, the feds have arrested plenty of protesters,
- 38:04Speaker 3: and clearly he was liable to be arrested, and so
- 38:07Speaker 3: acting in the way that they did and just letting
- 38:09Speaker 3: this slide it was the wrong thing to do all around.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they could also in that instance, since the ice
- 38:16Speaker 2: officers or CPP or whatever like beat the.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Shit out of him, maybe they should have been arrested too.
- 38:21Speaker 2: But I mean, the reality is Minneapolis has many fewer
- 38:24Speaker 2: police officers. They are wildly overwhelmed. This is something that
- 38:28Speaker 2: the local police chief has talked about. And so you know,
- 38:32Speaker 2: I mean, yes, if he kicks in a headlight like
- 38:35Speaker 2: it would be, I would not object to him being
- 38:37Speaker 2: arrested and that you be, Okay, you broke the law.
- 38:40Speaker 5: There we go.
- 38:41Speaker 2: But you know, I think for myself, and I know
- 38:44Speaker 2: you're not equitting these two things like kicking in a
- 38:46Speaker 2: headlight versus executing someone in the street for zero reason,
- 38:51Speaker 2: are not, you know, not on the same level. And
- 38:53Speaker 2: I know you're not saying that they are, but just
- 38:55Speaker 2: to put that out there.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Right, And the major right wing grievance is basically that
- 39:01Speaker 3: you know, oh, they turned him into Saint George, you know,
- 39:04Speaker 3: Saint George Floyd. And then this look, this is unfortunate.
- 39:07Speaker 3: It always happens, is that, you know, the victim is
- 39:09Speaker 3: always somebody who's never did anything wrong and they're actually
- 39:12Speaker 3: like rosy heroes and everything, and that's just not humanity period.
- 39:18Speaker 1: But that is why I don't really care.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Like we know, we've talked about the Ashley Babbit shooting
- 39:23Speaker 3: and it's like, you know, do I do? I think
- 39:26Speaker 3: it was right to like break in No, but you know,
- 39:29Speaker 3: and a lot of people stood by like, oh, she
- 39:31Speaker 3: got what she deserved when you look at the case
- 39:33Speaker 3: pretty clearly, like it wasn't necessary use of force. A
- 39:37Speaker 3: lot of right wingers understood that, you know, on January sixth,
- 39:40Speaker 3: and by the way, that one was way more you know,
- 39:42Speaker 3: in the realm of understanding. I think, then let's say
- 39:45Speaker 3: what happened here with Alex So I try to keep
- 39:48Speaker 3: generally like I try to keep a general principal view
- 39:51Speaker 3: of this and to look at it.
- 39:52Speaker 1: And that's why for me, it is still a Waco moment.
- 39:55Speaker 3: As in, in the moment, there's no dec about who
- 40:00Speaker 3: did something wrong, and then the government who lied about it,
- 40:03Speaker 3: and then period trying to trample on the Second Amendment
- 40:07Speaker 3: right that we all have for me, that is the
- 40:09Speaker 3: bigger story, and I will still acknowledge like with Waco,
- 40:13Speaker 3: what you know, David and his own behavior of the
- 40:15Speaker 3: branch Davidians. But ultimately, sometimes that is a bit of
- 40:18Speaker 3: a cop out used by the people who defend that
- 40:21Speaker 3: behavior because they're like, well, he was such a bad guy,
- 40:23Speaker 3: he deserved.
- 40:24Speaker 1: To be killed. And that's where I'm just like, no,
- 40:25Speaker 1: that's just not true, period, that's right.
- 40:27Speaker 5: January sixth.
- 40:28Speaker 2: January six is a good example, not only because of
- 40:30Speaker 2: Ashley bat It, but I mean you had people who
- 40:32Speaker 2: genuinely assaulted Capitol police officers who were pardoned and you know,
- 40:37Speaker 2: treated like they were political prisoners by the right because
- 40:42Speaker 2: they were part of a movement that they support. So
- 40:44Speaker 2: you know, zero consistency even on just like the basic
- 40:47Speaker 2: like law and order, respect authority, obey authority mantra that
- 40:52Speaker 2: preparing a lot.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah, not helpful, is it.
- 40:55Speaker 3: And you know that's another good case where they you
- 40:57Speaker 3: know what didn't they threw the books at him a
- 40:59Speaker 3: lot of times. Extraordinary, the biggest FBI you know, investigation
- 41:03Speaker 3: and all of that in history. I think it was
- 41:05Speaker 3: way too far the way that that it all went down.
- 41:08Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, you're right pardoning people, you know
- 41:11Speaker 3: who attack police, and then in this case we'll go,
- 41:13Speaker 3: oh fuck, it's like, all right, well we need to
- 41:15Speaker 3: have some level of consistency here, folks. It actually does matter.
- 41:19Speaker 3: And that's why, you know, in general, looking at this,
- 41:22Speaker 3: I think the border or whoever the agents were in
- 41:24Speaker 3: that situation acted very stupidly. They should have just arrested him.
- 41:27Speaker 3: I think Alex acted terribly in that situation. It doesn't
- 41:31Speaker 3: really change how I feel about the shooting, period, but
- 41:34Speaker 3: I do think this will be kind of a rhetorical
- 41:37Speaker 3: propaganda win, I think for a lot of right wingers,
- 41:39Speaker 3: because for them, what they get most annoyed about, and
- 41:42Speaker 3: I can sympathize with this not an Alex situation, but
- 41:45Speaker 3: more broadly is at any time there's a left shooting
- 41:47Speaker 3: costs celeb they're a hero, they've done absolutely nothing wrong,
- 41:50Speaker 3: and that's just usually not the case in a lot
- 41:53Speaker 3: of the in the way the humans are, like, if
- 41:55Speaker 3: you look at anybody, there's generally going to be like
- 41:58Speaker 3: a you know, yeah, look where colors.
- 42:01Speaker 5: Nobody is perfect, for sure perfect.
- 42:04Speaker 2: In this instance, it was actually looking like this guy
- 42:07Speaker 2: was you know, pretty pretty close to a model citizen va,
- 42:11Speaker 2: I see you nurse, like all the testimony coming out
- 42:13Speaker 2: from people and so, like I said, I mean, they
- 42:15Speaker 2: were searching high and low for anything that could mar
- 42:18Speaker 2: his reputation, and they got that with this.
- 42:20Speaker 3: You know, that's that's our fault, okay, and not to
- 42:23Speaker 3: smirch the dead. Shouldn't act shouldn't be acting like this
- 42:25Speaker 3: in public, all right, period. And I hope people look
- 42:28Speaker 3: at this as a you know, as a lesson, because
- 42:31Speaker 3: if this video didn't exist, you'd be on a lot
- 42:34Speaker 3: you know, better footing. And in general, if you're going
- 42:36Speaker 3: to put yourself in these type of situations, again, as
- 42:38Speaker 3: a gun owner, you have a much higher responsibility to
- 42:42Speaker 3: act responsibly. And he did not meet that bar whatsoever
- 42:45Speaker 3: in this video. But again that did not have any
- 42:48Speaker 3: bearing on the video in which he was killed, where he.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Actually didn't know what happens eleven days later, has nothing
- 42:53Speaker 2: to do unless he was targeted for that previous interaction.
- 42:56Speaker 2: And that's a question that should be explored at some point,
- 42:59Speaker 2: it should be incuted. Are Yeah, let's let's get to
- 43:02Speaker 2: the other side of the equation. What the government is doing,
- 43:05Speaker 2: which has you know, vastly more power than any of
- 43:07Speaker 2: these individuals. One thing they did decide to place the
- 43:11Speaker 2: agents involved on leave. And I say agents, And this
- 43:15Speaker 2: is something we talked about before. It wasn't just one
- 43:18Speaker 2: guy who shot Alex pretty it was two. And you
- 43:22Speaker 2: have you know, not only do you have the initial
- 43:25Speaker 2: shots fired after you know, it seems like someone yell,
- 43:29Speaker 2: someone yelled, he's got a gun. He's got a gun,
- 43:32Speaker 2: he's disarmed before any shots are fired. Then after he
- 43:36Speaker 2: is lying motionless on the ground, they continue to pump
- 43:39Speaker 2: bullets into his likely you know, dying body. Uh. And
- 43:43Speaker 2: so in any case, both of those agents have now
- 43:45Speaker 2: been placed on administrative leave. Now the administration is saying like, oh,
- 43:48Speaker 2: that's standard protocol. Well, it should be standard protocol, But
- 43:51Speaker 2: as far as we know, it hasn't happened in any
- 43:53Speaker 2: of the other many ICE shootings, not just the one
- 43:56Speaker 2: that we you know, the Renee Good one that got
- 43:58Speaker 2: so much attention, but in the Miramar Martinez one that
- 44:01Speaker 2: didn't happen either. That is, that is standard protocol for
- 44:06Speaker 2: like your average cop, even if it was a totally
- 44:09Speaker 2: in self defense, totally justified, clear cut case, you're still
- 44:13Speaker 2: put on leave. But it took an extraordinary amount of
- 44:16Speaker 2: pressure for that to happen here in any case, that
- 44:18Speaker 2: is what they're saying at this point.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Yeah, again, I read that as part of the whole
- 44:23Speaker 3: tactical retreat around DHS, around funding potentially you know, significant
- 44:28Speaker 3: and important. So yeah, see, okay, guys, turning now to
- 44:34Speaker 3: the FBI, We're going to go and put these images
- 44:36Speaker 3: up here on the screen you can see FBI agents
- 44:39Speaker 3: at the Fulton County Elections office removing some ballots. But
- 44:44Speaker 3: what was really stunning was actually the appearance of the
- 44:47Speaker 3: DNI Tulsi Gabbard, who was spotted here by a photographer
- 44:53Speaker 3: surreptitiously on the phone. All of this being set up
- 44:57Speaker 3: in the context of Trump's claims that the election in
- 45:00Speaker 3: twenty twenty was stolen in some of the pressure on
- 45:02Speaker 3: the state of Georgia to release their voter rolls and
- 45:05Speaker 3: other information. So as you can all see, that Telsey
- 45:08Speaker 3: Gabbert story really is the most important part of all
- 45:12Speaker 3: of this.
- 45:13Speaker 2: This administration has even sort of toyed with about now
- 45:17Speaker 2: that they've got Maduro and they believe these like stupid
- 45:20Speaker 2: Venezuela election conspiracies, that maybe he's going to cut a
- 45:23Speaker 2: deal with them to say whatever it is they want
- 45:25Speaker 2: him to say about this twenty twenty election rigging. And
- 45:29Speaker 2: now that they have these ballots and they're out of
- 45:32Speaker 2: the hands of the local authorities, which again Georgia is
- 45:36Speaker 2: a you know, still has a Republican governor by the way,
- 45:38Speaker 2: but in any case, now it's on in the hands
- 45:40Speaker 2: of those authorities, they can say whatever they want about
- 45:44Speaker 2: what these ballots actually contain. Like the truth is no
- 45:48Speaker 2: barrier for them, we know that whatsoever.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Yeah, the search warrant has not been publicly released like
- 45:53Speaker 3: all of like the pretext for it, they say the
- 45:56Speaker 3: action is a court authorized law enforcement action and the
- 45:59Speaker 3: warrant seeking records tied to the twenty twenty election. I mean,
- 46:04Speaker 3: what is crazy. The Tulsi thing is the element which
- 46:07Speaker 3: should make everyone say, what the fuck, because, as you
- 46:11Speaker 3: just said, this is the ODE and I. It is
- 46:14Speaker 3: highly unusual for an OD and I official ever to
- 46:18Speaker 3: be involved in a law enforcement operation like this one.
- 46:22Speaker 3: We will recall, Well, I think there's some personality stuff
- 46:25Speaker 3: that should be explained here too. Tulsia's out on the
- 46:27Speaker 3: alex Crystal. You and I know that she was marginalized
- 46:31Speaker 3: in the Venezuela operation where she basically wasn't even told reportedly,
- 46:35Speaker 3: they said, DN, I is, do not inform something like that, right, right?
- 46:39Speaker 3: Do not invite you know, to any of the meetings
- 46:42Speaker 3: around that. She spearheaded that whole Obama Gate thing that
- 46:47Speaker 3: they said was a conspiracy which went absolutely nowhere Iran
- 46:51Speaker 3: is currently happening. Allegedly she had spoken about against that
- 46:55Speaker 3: behind the scenes. Not again, I can't one hundred percent
- 46:58Speaker 3: confirm that, but that's kind of what I've been told. Well,
- 47:02Speaker 3: this is a good way to get into the President's
- 47:04Speaker 3: graces is to be the spearhead of whatever this is.
- 47:07Speaker 3: And you're right, I mean it could be some part
- 47:09Speaker 3: of Venezuela operation. But more importantly, I think what people
- 47:13Speaker 3: should really understand is that this was not just an
- 47:17Speaker 3: FBI operation, but reportedly the head agent who would be
- 47:21Speaker 3: in charge of this was actually relieved of duties last
- 47:25Speaker 3: week prior to this major operation. And I mean in Georgia,
- 47:31Speaker 3: by the way, they're taking this very seriously. I saw
- 47:33Speaker 3: the Senator oss Off speak out against us, like you said,
- 47:35Speaker 3: they have a Republican governor. Remember that many of the
- 47:39Speaker 3: targeted officials from Stop to Steal not only one reelection,
- 47:42Speaker 3: they survived primaries whenever they were specifically like David Purdue
- 47:47Speaker 3: and I'm forgetting who challenged Brad Raffinsberger. Yeah, both of
- 47:51Speaker 3: them survived. Brian Kemp and Rafisberger all survived electoral challenges.
- 47:56Speaker 3: So they're going to have strong state guidelines to sit on.
- 48:00Speaker 3: It's I mean, I had heard one theory that this
- 48:02Speaker 3: could be potentially also about the Remember the Fannie Willis
- 48:06Speaker 3: prosecution investigation. They've been salivating trying to go after Fanny
- 48:10Speaker 3: Willis after her failed prosecutorial attempts back on while the
- 48:14Speaker 3: Biden administration was in power. And of course she had
- 48:16Speaker 3: her own scandal with you know, the way that that
- 48:19Speaker 3: entire thing went down. But yeah, I mean, just right now,
- 48:21Speaker 3: we don't really.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Know a whole lot.
- 48:23Speaker 3: We just know that they seized you know, like ballot
- 48:25Speaker 3: records here, and the fear from Georgia Democrats and Georgia
- 48:29Speaker 3: officials is obviously this isn't about twenty twenty, but it's
- 48:33Speaker 3: going to be about twenty twenty six, and specifically the
- 48:35Speaker 3: midterm elections in a highly contested battleground state, which.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Is a legitimate fear. I mean, if we're being honest
- 48:41Speaker 1: and looking at all.
- 48:41Speaker 2: This right yes, of course, and not just in Georgia.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Look what they do is they test the limits. They
- 48:47Speaker 2: constantly put what can we get away with? What can
- 48:49Speaker 2: we get away with? What can we get away with?
- 48:50Speaker 2: Can we routinely fle out court orders to the tune
- 48:53Speaker 2: of hundreds of thousands that actually thousands of times? Yes,
- 48:55Speaker 2: we can apparently get away with that. So we're going
- 48:57Speaker 2: to keep doing it. Can we interfere in this state
- 49:01Speaker 2: electoral system and get a judge to sign off on it?
- 49:05Speaker 2: And you know, as you were mentioning, the agent in
- 49:08Speaker 2: charge of the Atlanta field office was removed last week.
- 49:12Speaker 2: You know, I don't think it takes a rocket scientist
- 49:14Speaker 2: to put two and two together and figure out whoever
- 49:16Speaker 2: that was was not too keen on this operation, And
- 49:18Speaker 2: so they just push them out of the way. Can
- 49:20Speaker 2: you get away with that? They're pushing the boundaries of
- 49:23Speaker 2: what they can do. You know, we have to connect
- 49:25Speaker 2: it back to Minnesota as well, because one of the
- 49:28Speaker 2: things Pambondi put this in a letter to the state.
- 49:31Speaker 2: She was like, yeah, we'll leave if you turn over
- 49:33Speaker 2: your voter roles and the state to their car were like, no,
- 49:36Speaker 2: we're not doing that, and that actually significantly hurt the
- 49:39Speaker 2: government's case in court too, because it very much clearly
- 49:43Speaker 2: looks like they're trying to bully and coerce Minnesota into
- 49:46Speaker 2: doing things Minnesota you know, does not have to do
- 49:49Speaker 2: and does not want to do. So in any case,
- 49:52Speaker 2: that made it pretty plain that part of what the
- 49:55Speaker 2: goal was of the operation in Minnesota was enabled to
- 49:59Speaker 2: grab these voter roles. They're pushing every state in the
- 50:03Speaker 2: country to send them these voter roles.
- 50:05Speaker 5: You know, some of.
- 50:06Speaker 2: The very first executive orders that were signed, if we
- 50:09Speaker 2: go back, you know, this long year ago to the
- 50:12Speaker 2: beginning of the Trump administration, had to do with quote
- 50:15Speaker 2: unquote what they call election integrity, which is an effort
- 50:18Speaker 2: to you know, to change who are is on the
- 50:20Speaker 2: roles and help to try to control these results. The
- 50:23Speaker 2: other thing that's scary to me, I put it together
- 50:25Speaker 2: with the massive influx of funding to ICE, which has
- 50:29Speaker 2: been deployed as this like political weapon. So do you
- 50:33Speaker 2: think it's crazy to imagine that they could also use
- 50:36Speaker 2: those same forces are very loyal, especially in the new
- 50:38Speaker 2: recruits to Trump and to Steven Miller to intimidate people
- 50:43Speaker 2: or Trump has actually said now that he regrets not
- 50:47Speaker 2: having the National Guard and put E seven up on
- 50:50Speaker 2: the screen. He regrets not having the National Guard seize
- 50:53Speaker 2: the ballot boxes back in twenty twenty, but he said
- 50:56Speaker 2: that he was worried maybe they wouldn't have been up
- 50:58Speaker 2: to it. Well maybe now with he feels like he's
- 51:00Speaker 2: got the force that would be up to it.
- 51:03Speaker 5: This all sounds.
- 51:04Speaker 2: Insane, and I feel insane saying it, but we already
- 51:06Speaker 2: saw this man try to steal one election and this
- 51:09Speaker 2: thing with Tulci Gabbard involved and going back in and
- 51:13Speaker 2: seizing the ballots from twenty twenty for god knows what reason,
- 51:17Speaker 2: and the theories about Madura and whatever like, these are
- 51:20Speaker 2: things that all really happened. So even though they sound insane,
- 51:25Speaker 2: you have to look at where things could be going.
- 51:27Speaker 2: He knows he's not popular, right, he knows the midterms.
- 51:31Speaker 2: He even says outright that typically the person in power
- 51:34Speaker 2: like they end up losing ground. He knows it is
- 51:37Speaker 2: very likely that they're going to lose the House, if
- 51:40Speaker 2: not the Senate. And so if he feels like politically
- 51:43Speaker 2: he can't control that outcome by changing people's opinions, well,
- 51:47Speaker 2: what levers is he going to reach for? And so
- 51:49Speaker 2: I do see this as like a shot across the
- 51:51Speaker 2: bow for twenty twenty six. Yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Look, I wish I could say that it's crazy, but
- 51:56Speaker 3: when and I could, I would even say it was
- 51:58Speaker 3: less crazy. But the Tulsi being involved is like whoa
- 52:02Speaker 3: man like I really don't think people understand how extraordinary
- 52:06Speaker 3: that is, because, like you said, that could potentially, I mean,
- 52:09Speaker 3: who knows, you know, some foreign interference thing. Don't forget
- 52:12Speaker 3: this is cash Ptel's FBI, who is the one in
- 52:15Speaker 3: charge of this entire investigation. And I mean, I guess
- 52:19Speaker 3: my only saving grace is eventually this shit will have
- 52:23Speaker 3: to come out in court and we will actually see
- 52:26Speaker 3: what it is that the so called pretext you know
- 52:29Speaker 3: for this was from what I was reading I have
- 52:32Speaker 3: it here is that they said ballot images produced by
- 52:37Speaker 3: scan ballots, all voter rolls, tabulator tapes. The warrant signed
- 52:42Speaker 3: was sought as an investigation into possible violation of federal
- 52:44Speaker 3: law against destruction of a later election related record, another
- 52:47Speaker 3: statue that makes it a crime to knowingly procure fraudulent
- 52:50Speaker 3: voter registration or fraudulent votes. That is, as of it
- 52:54Speaker 3: stands right now, what it is these would actually have
- 52:57Speaker 3: to be proven in court, don't forget. We have that
- 53:00Speaker 3: Rudy Giuliani thing. Yeah, okay, six, and we put that
- 53:04Speaker 3: up there on the screen. At one point, some of
- 53:06Speaker 3: this was litigated in court and Rudy Giuliani had to
- 53:09Speaker 3: pay one hundred and forty eight million dollars of defamation
- 53:13Speaker 3: against two election workers that he had accused previously of
- 53:17Speaker 3: tampering with the presidential vote in Georgia.
- 53:21Speaker 1: This was was this a state case? I forget? No least?
- 53:24Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, So anyway, so just reminder that some of
- 53:27Speaker 3: this at the very least has been litigated previously, but
- 53:31Speaker 3: with Trump in charge, who knows. I'll tell you this,
- 53:33Speaker 3: We're going to pay attention to it because it definitely
- 53:35Speaker 3: that's going an important story, very important.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah, And just to remind people related to the Giuliani thing,
- 53:41Speaker 2: the big conspiracies were I mean, you had the ten
- 53:44Speaker 2: thousand mules or whatever, you had that whole Dinesh to
- 53:47Speaker 2: Susan conspiracy, but specifically in Fulton County, they had this
- 53:50Speaker 2: whole conspiracy about like suitcases of ballots being brought in
- 53:55Speaker 2: and that was the center of a lot of the conspiracies. Again,
- 53:58Speaker 2: the Trump administration pursued a bunch of these claims in courts,
- 54:01Speaker 2: not just this Rudy Giuliani thing where he was found
- 54:03Speaker 2: guilty of defaming these ladies, these election workers.
- 54:07Speaker 5: But a bunch.
- 54:08Speaker 2: I mean, he made so many claims in court. They
- 54:10Speaker 2: were all thrown out. Right there there is no there there.
- 54:14Speaker 2: If there was any there there would they would have
- 54:17Speaker 2: found it, they would have shown it. Even you know,
- 54:19Speaker 2: Trump in the run ups of the election, when he
- 54:21Speaker 2: was on with Rogan, Rogan asked him about and he
- 54:23Speaker 2: was like, well, there's a book you should check out.
- 54:24Speaker 5: I mean, he couldn't explain it.
- 54:25Speaker 1: And he still talks about that. He's like really, He's like,
- 54:28Speaker 1: he came here and he made you still didn't have anything.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Like yeah, So, I mean we know there's no there,
- 54:34Speaker 2: there there, But that doesn't mean. Look, these people will
- 54:36Speaker 2: destroy They're in court now arguing they're allowed to destroy
- 54:39Speaker 2: evidence in the killing of Alex Preddy. Like, we can't
- 54:42Speaker 2: put anything past them in terms of destroying ballots, changing ballots,
- 54:46Speaker 2: what they present. I mean, it's just I don't know,
- 54:49Speaker 2: it's uh, it's very disturbing. It's crazy to me that
- 54:52Speaker 2: a judge signed off on this, But you also have
- 54:54Speaker 2: all of these like Trump sick ephant judges who've been
- 54:57Speaker 2: put in place and gotten their positions on the bench
- 55:00Speaker 2: solely because of their loyalty to Trump. So maybe it
- 55:03Speaker 2: was one of those people who signed off on it.
- 55:04Speaker 2: We don't actually know at this point.
- 55:06Speaker 3: I don't know either. I was just looking a little
- 55:08Speaker 3: bit into her background. Nope, I don't have anything I
- 55:11Speaker 3: can confirm as of right now. We'll stay on the story. Okay,
- 55:14Speaker 3: sorry everybody that it went late. It is what it is,
- 55:16Speaker 3: breaking news in the middle of the show. Sorry, And
- 55:18Speaker 3: of course we're at home. We're hoping to be back
- 55:20Speaker 3: in the studio next week if possible, if the snow
- 55:23Speaker 3: in the ice melts even ammodicum. Unfortunately, the entire DMV
- 55:28Speaker 3: remains a complete shit show as a result of our
- 55:30Speaker 3: local government. So we apologize for the week, but we
- 55:34Speaker 3: hope to see you all next week, and of course
- 55:36Speaker 3: there'll be a good Friday show for all you all tomorrow.
- 55:39Speaker 1: See you then,
