- 0:01Speaker 1: Some of the content of Patriots Unfiltered may not be
- 0:03Speaker 1: suitable for all audiences. Listener discretion is advised. The world's
- 0:09Speaker 1: original poet, Welcome to Patriot's Unfiltered. All right, I've been
- 0:19Speaker 1: ordered by management to give away more T shirts. You
- 0:23Speaker 1: are man? Yeah? What was Big Head and Fred's epic
- 0:26Speaker 1: argument at the draft about Evan? Can you imagine they
- 0:29Speaker 1: argued for so long that even I was disinterested think
- 0:33Speaker 1: about and of course the answer is do rivers have tids?
- 0:37Speaker 1: And that dent Philip Rivers? You guys are just talking
- 0:41Speaker 1: about players of water at least at the very Yeah,
- 0:44Speaker 1: as you can imagine, the first night of the Draft
- 0:46Speaker 1: is like my Super Bowl. So this was going on
- 0:48Speaker 1: while Evan would have walked out. Yeah, he would have
- 0:53Speaker 1: been so mad on the what Myers does this year
- 0:59Speaker 1: in Kansas? But even then it's not app No, I know,
- 1:02Speaker 1: but like, what does he do with Mahomes? You know?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Now they both go in there. He's going to the Raiders.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Why don't Jimmy Garoppolo? Why do I keep thinking he's
- 1:10Speaker 1: going to I'm all messed up? All right, Okay, did
- 1:12Speaker 1: you bang your head? So what do you think of Bobo? No? No, okay,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he must really stink because Everon kind of likes everybody.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Someone told me that he's a little Jordan Humphrey. Oh
- 1:22Speaker 1: I'm out on him. Yeah. This is patriot It's unfiltered,
- 1:26Speaker 1: fueled by Duncan. All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It
- 1:31Speaker 1: is Tuesday here at Gillette Stadium, and it's Evan, it's Alex,
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's Paul, it's me, it's Matt n Booth. Tamara and
- 1:40Speaker 1: Deuce are coming back from Phoenix. So they're wrapping up
- 1:43Speaker 1: the owners meeting, which of course is the big topic
- 1:47Speaker 1: here in Patriots Nation. The head coach and the owner
- 1:51Speaker 1: both making news yesterday with some of the things they
- 1:54Speaker 1: had to say. Uh, I don't know where do you start,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I mean, and how much of it do you really
- 2:00Speaker 1: take seriously? You know, on both sides. Um, you know,
- 2:05Speaker 1: it was just a crazy day. I've read into this
- 2:08Speaker 1: way too much, got way too excited. You can't help it.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's like, why did they say it? Yes, you know
- 2:14Speaker 1: you read in too much to the Lamar Jackson stuff.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm reading into the Bills comments on the quarterback controversy,
- 2:21Speaker 1: with the Lamar Jackson stuff with is it just them too.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I don't I don't know. Yeah, so I don't know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: do you guys want to delve into it, because I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I don't really think this should be something else that
- 2:36Speaker 1: every email and tweet that I see, there's probably a
- 2:40Speaker 1: crop of late, you know, strong safeties that you would
- 2:43Speaker 1: like to get into. It's actually been watching a bunch
- 2:45Speaker 1: of third fourth round wide receivers the last couple of
- 2:48Speaker 1: days that we can talk about, yeah, or Lamar Jackson.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. It's but you have to wonder, like,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know, why the owner would say yeah, I mean
- 2:59Speaker 1: you brought up a good point in our meeting. Is
- 3:00Speaker 1: I would like to see the look on Stacy James's
- 3:02Speaker 1: face after that happened, and then I would have more
- 3:04Speaker 1: information about if I should continue to read into it
- 3:07Speaker 1: or well, I'm sure it's not good. It's not good
- 3:10Speaker 1: for the team. Let's let's face it. If the owner
- 3:14Speaker 1: is talking about a player on another team at the
- 3:18Speaker 1: key position where you already have a player at that position. Yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 1: and you know it's like like a couple of weeks
- 3:24Speaker 1: ago when the Ravens first decided to put the tag
- 3:28Speaker 1: on him, and there were some teams that immediately sort
- 3:32Speaker 1: of came out and said that they weren't interested or whatever,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and we all kind of, well, that makes sense. Like
- 3:38Speaker 1: teams have quarterbacks and they can't risk sort of alienating
- 3:43Speaker 1: that quarterback, right, you know, by flirting with another one.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And who you know. The last team that I thought
- 3:51Speaker 1: at the time that I said that that would do
- 3:55Speaker 1: with it would be the Patriots. Now. If you but
- 3:57Speaker 1: if you really listen or read what Robert said, he
- 4:00Speaker 1: didn't say I want Lamar Jackson. He said, Lamar Jackson,
- 4:04Speaker 1: according to meek Mill, wants to be here about That's
- 4:08Speaker 1: Bill's decision. He didn't say, and I would love it.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He didn't say that. We're also just taking meek Mill
- 4:14Speaker 1: at his word, Like meek Mill everything. I think that
- 4:18Speaker 1: that part of it is me Among the million things
- 4:21Speaker 1: that frustrated me about yesterday, this is a smaller thing
- 4:25Speaker 1: on the list, But one of the things that did
- 4:27Speaker 1: frustrate me was that everybody, and I'm talking about my
- 4:31Speaker 1: colleagues right now, ran with Lamar Jackson wants to play
- 4:34Speaker 1: for the Patriots. Lamar Jackson wants to pay for the Patriots.
- 4:38Speaker 1: According to a rapper, right not not? According to somebody
- 4:43Speaker 1: in the organization, not I would have preferred it to
- 4:46Speaker 1: been sourced information. Then did anybody, Yeah, it's not like
- 4:53Speaker 1: it's not trying, But did anybody did anybody take that
- 4:58Speaker 1: next step? And I'm talking about reporters now, I'm not
- 5:01Speaker 1: talking about fans, Like if fans run wild with the speculation,
- 5:04Speaker 1: I get that. Did any reporter take it on themselves
- 5:08Speaker 1: to say, maybe I should check in with people in
- 5:12Speaker 1: football and see is this just Robert I'm about checking
- 5:16Speaker 1: him with Lamar Jackson, right, or check in with Lamar
- 5:19Speaker 1: Jackson or his Mom's a little bit more difficult to do,
- 5:21Speaker 1: why because how many jack His dms are open? I
- 5:25Speaker 1: thought about it. I was like, look, is this real?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Or did Robert Craft just want to flex that he
- 5:31Speaker 1: knows Meek Mill so that he's got anything that I'm
- 5:34Speaker 1: really with Evan on here, And I think, I don't know.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna take it at face value. I'm gonna be
- 5:41Speaker 1: like Alex and you know, I'm gonna read into things
- 5:43Speaker 1: maybe a little bit, So I'm gonna take it at
- 5:45Speaker 1: face value. But I also don't think that necessarily means
- 5:48Speaker 1: that it's true. If that makes sense, Yeah, because I
- 5:51Speaker 1: think and I talk to you about this, Freddie before
- 5:54Speaker 1: I'm meeting upstairs. And I think there's a very plausible
- 5:57Speaker 1: scenario where Lamar Jackson is trying to drum up intest
- 6:00Speaker 1: and he knows that Meek Mill is tight with Robert Kraft.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So it may have been nefarious. It may have been
- 6:07Speaker 1: to Meek Mill, yeah, yeah, I would love to play
- 6:09Speaker 1: for the Patriots, thinking that he would then do it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It may have been less than that. It may have
- 6:13Speaker 1: been intentional. Hey, Meek Mill, can you do me a favor?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Can you send your boys? Send your boy Robert Craft
- 6:19Speaker 1: a text and said I'd love to play for the Patriots? Like,
- 6:22Speaker 1: is that out of the rama possibility? Or it could
- 6:24Speaker 1: be meek he doesn't have an agent, he needs to
- 6:26Speaker 1: do these things on his own. Or it could be
- 6:28Speaker 1: Meek Mill heard it from somebody who heard it from
- 6:30Speaker 1: somebody who heard it from somebody, and it's just passing
- 6:33Speaker 1: it a week. Mills all of a sudden, Adam Schefter ran,
- 6:41Speaker 1: he's not exactly That's why I don't think he's coming
- 6:43Speaker 1: at it. He's coming at it kind of un Sorry,
- 6:45Speaker 1: I'm just not taking anything that Meek Mill says as
- 6:50Speaker 1: like gospel, Like you know, I don't take it as
- 6:53Speaker 1: gospel either. But I'm operating out of the premise that
- 6:55Speaker 1: it's true. I'm saying, even if it is true, it
- 6:59Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily really mean anything. Right, Really, it could just
- 7:02Speaker 1: just be Lamar Jackson trying to get what did it work? Sure? Did? Yeah?
- 7:08Speaker 1: And this coming right off the heels of him requesting
- 7:11Speaker 1: a trade that he didn't really need to request, but
- 7:13Speaker 1: he requested a trade within you know, in the morning.
- 7:16Speaker 1: He don't discount that either, right, timing of all that
- 7:18Speaker 1: coming out yesterday morning, right, calculated while knowing that Robert
- 7:23Speaker 1: Kraft was going to be speaking that day. Yeah, this
- 7:26Speaker 1: is why I think it was all part of a plan.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And by the way, when did Lamar Jackson say that
- 7:33Speaker 1: he requested a trade beginning of the month March second? Yeah, Yeah,
- 7:38Speaker 1: that's before he was even tagged, and he tweeted it
- 7:41Speaker 1: out yesterday, right. I heard a caller on One A
- 7:44Speaker 1: Paul Show yesterday say Patriots shouldn't go after Lamar Jackson
- 7:47Speaker 1: because you know, he'd have to learn the system. And
- 7:50Speaker 1: I'm thinking to myself, if you get Lamar Jackson, he
- 7:52Speaker 1: is the exactly what you're learning. Mark, Lamar Jackson, He's
- 7:57Speaker 1: not learning you you know you make the system. Lamar Jackson. Yeah, look,
- 8:03Speaker 1: I love Lamar Jackson. He's probably my favorite player in
- 8:06Speaker 1: the league. But that being said, this yesterday, he mister
- 8:11Speaker 1: Kraft knows this was bad. He knows he shouldn't have
- 8:14Speaker 1: done it. And I know he knows that he shouldn't
- 8:16Speaker 1: have done it. Think he cares. I don't know if
- 8:18Speaker 1: he cares he shouldn't have done it. And this coming
- 8:21Speaker 1: on the heels of whatever that was yesterday morning with
- 8:25Speaker 1: the head coach. I just look at these two guys,
- 8:28Speaker 1: and I see what Bill says, and then and I
- 8:31Speaker 1: see what Robert says within a couple of hours of
- 8:33Speaker 1: each other, and I see two people that are not
- 8:36Speaker 1: on the same page. But what did Bill say about
- 8:38Speaker 1: our starting quarterback position? Not on the same page. The
- 8:41Speaker 1: two of them are at total disconnect of where Robert
- 8:47Speaker 1: wants to win. Robert wants to be in the playoffs,
- 8:50Speaker 1: Robert wants Lamar Jackson, Bill say that, don't put words
- 8:55Speaker 1: in his mouth. I would say Bill spoke more highly
- 8:57Speaker 1: of Mac or I'm sorry, Roberts spoke a lot more
- 9:00Speaker 1: highly of Mac yesterday than how did you put in
- 9:05Speaker 1: a couple of minutes ago. Out of all the things
- 9:07Speaker 1: there were a lot of things that upset me yesterday.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That the entire thirty minutes would be the number one
- 9:12Speaker 1: thing is to me, how far apart totally on total total,
- 9:15Speaker 1: opposite sides. And I personally think that Robert is setting
- 9:21Speaker 1: up for potentially moving on from Bill after this season
- 9:25Speaker 1: if this doesn't really turn itself around. And I think
- 9:28Speaker 1: that he's putting out not the Lamar Jackson stuff, the
- 9:30Speaker 1: other stuff that he said, He's putting out little benchmarks
- 9:35Speaker 1: of well. I said that I wanted to make the playoffs,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and I said that, you know, cash spending is a
- 9:40Speaker 1: non issue, and all of you know, it's Bill's decision
- 9:44Speaker 1: if we go after Lamar Jackson. This is not a
- 9:47Speaker 1: money issue, This is not an ownership issue. This is
- 9:50Speaker 1: Bill's decision if we go after this player. So he
- 9:53Speaker 1: is putting all of it at the feet of Belichick,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and he passing off the blame preemptively, and he's saying
- 9:59Speaker 1: that the way that football is run is not a
- 10:03Speaker 1: budget thing. The way that the football team is run
- 10:06Speaker 1: is because the GM thinks that this is the best
- 10:08Speaker 1: way to run the football team. And if they don't
- 10:10Speaker 1: have an if they have another eight nine season and
- 10:12Speaker 1: they don't make the playoffs, then who then whose fault
- 10:15Speaker 1: is it? The owner just told us. Yeah, So like
- 10:17Speaker 1: the Lamar Jackson thing from meek Mill is obviously going
- 10:21Speaker 1: to get all the headlines. But the last part that
- 10:24Speaker 1: Evan just talked about to me was to take away
- 10:26Speaker 1: from yesterday last line of well, that's why Bill is
- 10:33Speaker 1: asked to sort of clarify what he meant by that.
- 10:36Speaker 1: The day after the season was over is when he
- 10:38Speaker 1: issued that comment about we've been, you know, the bottom
- 10:42Speaker 1: of the league in cash spending over the last three years.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's a three year aggregate, remember, Yeah, And then there
- 10:47Speaker 1: was some question was that a shot at Robert Kraft?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Was that just sort of talking about the economics? Was
- 10:52Speaker 1: it complaining about spending? He sort of clarified it in
- 10:56Speaker 1: the Globe, but not really um the next day, and
- 10:59Speaker 1: he was asked about it again yesterday. But I think
- 11:01Speaker 1: Tom current Ian, Greg Badard, you know, they sort of
- 11:03Speaker 1: came at him and asked them to sort of clarify
- 11:07Speaker 1: those comments, and he just talked about, look, we spend
- 11:10Speaker 1: to the cap. It was how he put it. Now
- 11:13Speaker 1: Robert Kraft a couple hours later is asked about it,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and I think Evan is exactly right. I don't think
- 11:18Speaker 1: it was an accident that he went to great length
- 11:20Speaker 1: to tell you anytime Bill Belichick has come to me,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I've always given him whatever he needs. We spend to
- 11:28Speaker 1: the cap, we spend. You know, he talked about cash
- 11:31Speaker 1: over the cap and with some other teams do all
- 11:34Speaker 1: the money they spent in twenty one. I think he said,
- 11:36Speaker 1: I think you'd look back and say, probably didn't work.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I'm paraphrasing. I don't have the exact quotes in front
- 11:42Speaker 1: of me. And then he finished it by saying, I've
- 11:45Speaker 1: always given whatever they need and I always will, and
- 11:48Speaker 1: if I can't, I'll sell the team. Was how he
- 11:51Speaker 1: finished it. If I can, I'm Billy Sullivan, right. And
- 11:54Speaker 1: I think that that was intentional. I think that that
- 11:57Speaker 1: was a response. We can all sit here and say,
- 12:00Speaker 1: Bill take a shot at Robert Craft? Or was that
- 12:03Speaker 1: more innocuous or was that just kind of point of fact.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I think Robert Craft's comment on that yesterday tells you
- 12:09Speaker 1: that Robert kind of took it as a shot. Well,
- 12:11Speaker 1: and Robert's saying, it ain't me, It's not me. I've
- 12:14Speaker 1: always given the resources that he needs whenever. So he's
- 12:17Speaker 1: telling what Evan just said, Bill, the GM wants to
- 12:20Speaker 1: run it this way, don't blame the owner. This is
- 12:23Speaker 1: how Bill wants to do it. Yeah. Yeah, And I
- 12:27Speaker 1: think it's interesting. And I you know, I said before,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I think Bill looks at the locker room and he
- 12:33Speaker 1: looks at that pecking mortar, and he looks at who
- 12:35Speaker 1: makes what, and he believes that that matters, that the
- 12:39Speaker 1: right people need to be making a certain amount of money,
- 12:42Speaker 1: and if you get out of whack, then it causes
- 12:45Speaker 1: discord in the locker room. And I think he believes
- 12:48Speaker 1: that that works when you're getting stars through the draft.
- 12:51Speaker 1: But if you're not getting those star players through the
- 12:53Speaker 1: draft who are affordable on these rookie contracts, you just
- 12:55Speaker 1: don't have any talent. No. I And again you know
- 12:58Speaker 1: he'll never admit it, but think Tom Brady for all
- 13:01Speaker 1: those years was such a luxury. It was such It's
- 13:04Speaker 1: like the Patriots being sold out every year. Most other
- 13:08Speaker 1: teams in the NFL have to wake up every day
- 13:10Speaker 1: and figure out how we're gonna sell tickets. The Patriots
- 13:13Speaker 1: for twenty five years have not had to worry about that.
- 13:16Speaker 1: And that's a huge luxury as an organization, I know
- 13:19Speaker 1: for fact, and it's the same thing having Tom Brady
- 13:22Speaker 1: from a football standpoint, it's such a huge luxury because
- 13:25Speaker 1: it's one thing you don't have to worry about, the quarterback,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and it covers up for so many other deficiencies, you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: And now you don't have that, and now you have
- 13:35Speaker 1: to go and spend money on players because you don't
- 13:38Speaker 1: have Tom Brady. Say, I'm saying the name, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 1: but really it's any quarterback. It's Joe Burrow, it's you know,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it's homes obviously, it's any of those guys, Josh Allen,
- 13:52Speaker 1: you know, but even Allan needed Stefan Diggs and you know,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and that that's kind of what brought him out. But
- 13:57Speaker 1: I think eventually he would have come out anyway. But yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 1: that's one of those things that kind of coincided. But yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 1: I think it was happening anyway. Can help absolutely because
- 14:05Speaker 1: he's a great player. But having the great, great quarterback
- 14:10Speaker 1: in this league means everything, means everything, you know. You know.
- 14:16Speaker 1: The other part that got a lot of the attention
- 14:19Speaker 1: yesterday was when Bill said that you know, it kind
- 14:21Speaker 1: of related to the Brady thing, in my opinion is,
- 14:23Speaker 1: you know, Mike Rest asked him, you know why the
- 14:26Speaker 1: fans would but what would give him off to give
- 14:29Speaker 1: them optimism? And he talked about like we were a
- 14:31Speaker 1: long way off. You know, I thought the first answer
- 14:33Speaker 1: was perfect, Yeah, you know, we're a long way off.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We have made the draft, we have the whole off season,
- 14:38Speaker 1: we have a lot of work to do. We followed
- 14:39Speaker 1: a lot of work ahead of him. But what about
- 14:41Speaker 1: you know what, what what would you say right now? We're
- 14:43Speaker 1: the last twenty five years, which is so so yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it's so unbill Um and I would come away with
- 14:52Speaker 1: what you just said, Fred, like he still doesn't know
- 14:56Speaker 1: that twelve was at least actually responsibly right. You know,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I think he still thinks like, I can do it
- 15:04Speaker 1: this way. I could keep doing it this way. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: could keep doing it this way. Right. We'll see if
- 15:09Speaker 1: he's right, But I don't think he is. So I
- 15:10Speaker 1: also just think that along those lines, it's just does
- 15:14Speaker 1: he does he care? Like? Does I Just I had
- 15:18Speaker 1: so many issues with so many things that he said
- 15:20Speaker 1: yesterday because I'm just getting tired of it. Because you
- 15:23Speaker 1: sit there and you say the best players are gonna
- 15:27Speaker 1: have a chance to play, like what he said about
- 15:29Speaker 1: the quarterbacks the best? What about the coaching staff? Like,
- 15:33Speaker 1: are you guys doing a good job? Did you guys
- 15:35Speaker 1: do a good job yet last year? Or you know,
- 15:40Speaker 1: he's asked about cam Accord? Why why is why is
- 15:42Speaker 1: cam Accord the best? Oh? It wasn't coaching, so what
- 15:47Speaker 1: what it was? So everything was the player's fault, because
- 15:50Speaker 1: that's the way Matt gets thrown under the bus. The
- 15:53Speaker 1: special guys on special teams get thrown under the bus.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Some of these coaches are still here, Joe Judge is
- 15:59Speaker 1: still in the building, and there's no accountability on the
- 16:02Speaker 1: coach said, will Matt Patricia be part of the I
- 16:07Speaker 1: can't understand that question. So does that mean that there's
- 16:10Speaker 1: an open invitation from Matt Patricia and Matt Patricia is
- 16:12Speaker 1: mulling it? No? I think that the the answer makes
- 16:17Speaker 1: sense to me in that they probably told Matt go
- 16:19Speaker 1: look for another job. But if you can't find, when
- 16:21Speaker 1: you'll have a place here, we're not gonna just fire.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I think that was we know we put you in
- 16:27Speaker 1: a bad situation. So they know that about Matt Patricia,
- 16:30Speaker 1: but he won't say that about the quarterback. That so
- 16:33Speaker 1: he knows that he put the coaches in a bad position,
- 16:36Speaker 1: which we all agree with that Matt Patricia was miscasting
- 16:39Speaker 1: that role. But with Mac Jones, his job is now
- 16:43Speaker 1: on the line. And now we have the owner talking
- 16:45Speaker 1: about Lamar Jackson. We have Belichick basically saying that Mac
- 16:49Speaker 1: is in an open competition with Bailey's appey like that
- 16:52Speaker 1: that was, That's exactly what he said. John Lynch had
- 16:55Speaker 1: more and more to say about brock Purty, you know,
- 16:58Speaker 1: after eight games than two years with Mac Jones here
- 17:02Speaker 1: and not to mention like the comment from Craft, I
- 17:04Speaker 1: think that when a little under the radar with the
- 17:06Speaker 1: meek stuff is that he's straight up said, I don't
- 17:09Speaker 1: think we put Mac in a good situation last year.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I put him in an experiment. Another example of whatever
- 17:15Speaker 1: it's talking about. I think this goes back to last
- 17:19Speaker 1: year's owner's meetings with just It seems like more subtle
- 17:22Speaker 1: comments from each other coming out through the media over
- 17:25Speaker 1: since then. Well, you know, I think it might have
- 17:28Speaker 1: been Tom who started out the questioning, would uh yesterday
- 17:33Speaker 1: with Robert about them? Did you have a conversation with Bill?
- 17:36Speaker 1: How did that go? You know, blah blah blah. And
- 17:39Speaker 1: what we don't know is like moving from Matt Patricia's coordinator.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Would Bill have done that anyway? I'm not convinced based
- 17:47Speaker 1: on yesterday, I don't think so. I'm not convinced either.
- 17:50Speaker 1: And I think that Bill O'Brien being here is is
- 17:54Speaker 1: mister Kraft's move like that. That was him saying I'm
- 17:58Speaker 1: doing this as the owner of the team because Bill,
- 18:02Speaker 1: it's well, the best players are gonna play at the quarterback.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Matt can play in this league. We know that, you know,
- 18:08Speaker 1: special teams. That wasn't coaching, it was a player. It
- 18:11Speaker 1: was players. You know, Chris Board is here now, So
- 18:13Speaker 1: we'll be good there now because they're better players playing
- 18:17Speaker 1: in the kicking game. Well, I'm gonna okay, So I'm
- 18:19Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna play both sides here. I'm gonna step
- 18:22Speaker 1: back on two things. First, one on Mac, if you
- 18:25Speaker 1: were the head coach of this team, would you come
- 18:28Speaker 1: right in everything that has transpired has transpired like nothing
- 18:32Speaker 1: else has changed at this point in time. Would you
- 18:34Speaker 1: come out probably say Mac is our starting quarterback? Is
- 18:37Speaker 1: that how you would handle it? Yes, I heard that.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm not the biggest I'm not the biggest Mac Jones guy.
- 18:44Speaker 1: You guys all know that I've been fairly critical. But yes, like,
- 18:48Speaker 1: based on that roster, he's the quarterback. But okay, so
- 18:52Speaker 1: you would say that, but like would you mean it? Yes? Okay,
- 18:56Speaker 1: Now you're gonna tell me that I have Lamar Jackson. No, No,
- 18:59Speaker 1: that's different. I'm saying it's Zappi and you know you're
- 19:01Speaker 1: going to me that's not even a conversation. Yeah. Now,
- 19:04Speaker 1: if Mac Jones continues to play like he did last year,
- 19:07Speaker 1: now I have to look at the other guy and say,
- 19:09Speaker 1: is it really different? I know it was different for
- 19:11Speaker 1: a couple of games, but is it really different? Because
- 19:14Speaker 1: this guy looks the same as he did last So
- 19:15Speaker 1: you would be you would be okay publicly giving him
- 19:18Speaker 1: your full vote of confidence. I don't know why you'd
- 19:20Speaker 1: be okay publicly giving Cam Newton the vote of confidence
- 19:23Speaker 1: in the twenty twenty mess Mac last season. I don't
- 19:27Speaker 1: I don't know. The only thing I can really think
- 19:29Speaker 1: of that is like to give in fairness to Bill
- 19:33Speaker 1: is like, is he just recognizing how to coach Mac?
- 19:36Speaker 1: Maybe Mac has a history of competing and he thinks
- 19:38Speaker 1: he'll get more out of him. But I don't know,
- 19:40Speaker 1: fair point, that's what I'm saying. Maybe it's it's a
- 19:43Speaker 1: strategic thing for Bill. Maybe he came off a rookie
- 19:46Speaker 1: year that he had some success, and maybe he was
- 19:48Speaker 1: a little ahead of himself. I don't know, But all
- 19:50Speaker 1: I know is at the Pro Bowl heading into year
- 19:54Speaker 1: two last July, it was nothing but roses and bouquets
- 19:59Speaker 1: for Mac Jones. He so much further along than he
- 20:02Speaker 1: was hast year, you know, and all of those things,
- 20:05Speaker 1: and all of a sudden he didn't handle the coaching well,
- 20:08Speaker 1: which I would agree he didn't. And this is where
- 20:11Speaker 1: we are now, like three four or five different occasions
- 20:14Speaker 1: where it's Mac Jones your quarterback, because will you wonder
- 20:18Speaker 1: if he's not good, then just go get a different quarterback?
- 20:20Speaker 1: Then well, but you're wondering if Bill is thinking to himself,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you know, the kid can play. But I got to
- 20:26Speaker 1: break him. But he also threw one of his coaches
- 20:31Speaker 1: under the bus, and as a result, I was forced
- 20:33Speaker 1: to now basically get rid of him, rid of a
- 20:36Speaker 1: coach because of the way you behaved, like this season
- 20:39Speaker 1: could have been better had you made a decision to
- 20:43Speaker 1: get on board but that's part of the problem. Yea, yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and that's Bill not looking introspectively to say I need
- 20:49Speaker 1: to have accountability here too. I put him in a
- 20:51Speaker 1: bad situation. Who wouldn't get upset at that situation that
- 20:53Speaker 1: you're being put in? Yeah, it's Max's career. It's it's
- 20:56Speaker 1: a tangled, complicated situation right now and Evans there, It's
- 21:01Speaker 1: they're not on the same page, that's for sure. So
- 21:04Speaker 1: it's it's something that's going to have to resolve itself, hopefully.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The other part of it. So I asked, if you
- 21:09Speaker 1: were the head coach, how would you handle the whole
- 21:11Speaker 1: Mac thing? If you were the GM, would you go
- 21:16Speaker 1: after Lamar Jackson? And I think the draft picks are
- 21:19Speaker 1: like a no brainer, Like, yeah, the reason why you
- 21:23Speaker 1: have draft picks is to have a player like Lamar Jackson.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It's the money. Would you be willing to give this
- 21:28Speaker 1: guy forty million a year, five years guaranteed or whatever it?
- 21:34Speaker 1: You know, it's not my money five years to forty guaranteed. Yeah, done,
- 21:40Speaker 1: me too, But it just we're headed that way anyways.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I can convince myself more than Meek Mill knowing anything.
- 21:47Speaker 1: I can convince myself that Lamar Jackson would look at
- 21:50Speaker 1: Bill Belichick and say, I can I can win a
- 21:54Speaker 1: Super Bowl with this coach, Like I can convince myself
- 21:56Speaker 1: into that line of thinking. And I think that, you know,
- 21:59Speaker 1: I'm not going to sit here and pretend I know
- 22:01Speaker 1: Lamar that well. But from hearing about him and things
- 22:04Speaker 1: like that, and hearing about his mother, I could see
- 22:06Speaker 1: him recognizing great coaching and recognizing that I can Bill
- 22:13Speaker 1: can get me over the hump in the playoffs, like
- 22:15Speaker 1: he hasn't been overly successful in the playoffs. And maybe
- 22:18Speaker 1: Bill with that defense, with the coaching that I'm gonna
- 22:21Speaker 1: get in game situationally, all that kind of stuff will
- 22:25Speaker 1: get over the hump in the playoffs because I have
- 22:27Speaker 1: Belichick now, and he'll look at Brady and say, why
- 22:30Speaker 1: why can't I have that? Not to mention the players,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I think Lamar would a truck that would just want
- 22:35Speaker 1: to play with him. Yeah, I think that he. I
- 22:39Speaker 1: look at him individually, and I just imagine he's going
- 22:43Speaker 1: to be so ridiculously motivated. Oh yeah, this year. Absolutely
- 22:48Speaker 1: I would. I would do it. I understand why it
- 22:51Speaker 1: likely won't happen, but I would do it. The only
- 22:55Speaker 1: thing that worries me is the injuries. It's that's it. Otherwise,
- 22:59Speaker 1: like the you know, he has the abilities an MVP player,
- 23:03Speaker 1: you know, he transforms your offense. You Like they were
- 23:06Speaker 1: talking about odds right now, I think the Patriots are
- 23:08Speaker 1: two hundred to one, and then they had futures like
- 23:11Speaker 1: if they got Lamar Jackson, they go down to thirty
- 23:14Speaker 1: to one. There's seventy to one, I think just to
- 23:16Speaker 1: win the Super Bowl, and they were going down to thirty.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I thought it was one seventy, it's sixty six. I think.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Really now, I would be interested to see our odds
- 23:25Speaker 1: to land Lamar before yesterday and then this morning, because
- 23:31Speaker 1: I feel like we're pretty high. I believe they were
- 23:34Speaker 1: second behind Indianapolis. You know, Baltimore is like it's the
- 23:39Speaker 1: in the in the fields. Everybody thinks he's gonna stay
- 23:42Speaker 1: in Baltimore. But I think Indie is the one that
- 23:45Speaker 1: is the highest odds to acquire him if someone were
- 23:48Speaker 1: to get him, and then the Patriots or two. But
- 23:51Speaker 1: I think those things, like like Alex said, like that
- 23:54Speaker 1: can change every day, literally something some kind of news
- 23:58Speaker 1: can come out, one comment can just and it changes
- 24:01Speaker 1: that kind well, I mean it's related in ursays on
- 24:03Speaker 1: record yesterday talking about guaranteed contracts that he is firmly
- 24:08Speaker 1: against these fully guaranteed contracts, that they're not good. You
- 24:12Speaker 1: look at the NBA, you look at MLB, and it's
- 24:15Speaker 1: just not good for the sport, he said. And I'm
- 24:19Speaker 1: not sure. I'm not sure I agree with that. I
- 24:21Speaker 1: just can't resonate with the opinions of a Billiaire because
- 24:24Speaker 1: I'm just like so away from that that. I think
- 24:29Speaker 1: that's a big part of this, this whole equation is
- 24:31Speaker 1: I think that people feel in the NFL, you know
- 24:33Speaker 1: people by people, I mean the owners that if another
- 24:36Speaker 1: quarterback gets a two hundred plus million dollars guaranteed contract,
- 24:40Speaker 1: that's it. That will be the norm for all quarterbacks, right,
- 24:43Speaker 1: and then once that happens, it's gonna well, I'm as
- 24:46Speaker 1: valuable as a quarterback, you know, I'm right, I'm every
- 24:49Speaker 1: bit as valuable to winning, you know, as that guy.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And they don't. They want to stop it now. They
- 24:55Speaker 1: want to make sure that Watson is an outlier. And
- 24:58Speaker 1: whether you want to call it or whatever you want
- 25:01Speaker 1: to term it, I think it's real. I think there's
- 25:04Speaker 1: a an enormous pushback on the other thirty one. Yeah,
- 25:08Speaker 1: I just say let's stand strong here, just to hold
- 25:11Speaker 1: everybody to their word, because that's all that's all I
- 25:13Speaker 1: can do. After a day like yesterday, Robert Craft is
- 25:16Speaker 1: saying that budget's not an issue, that money is not
- 25:20Speaker 1: a problem, that they can spend as much money as
- 25:22Speaker 1: they want. And then in the morning, Bill said, we're
- 25:26Speaker 1: not afraid to do anything to to make the team better.
- 25:30Speaker 1: So if money is not the problem and Cajones is
- 25:35Speaker 1: not the problem, Robert says money's not the problem. Bill
- 25:38Speaker 1: didn't say that, right, But I'm just taking everybody at
- 25:41Speaker 1: face value that you know, the wallet is coming from
- 25:43Speaker 1: Robert and he's saying that it's not a problem, and
- 25:45Speaker 1: Bill is saying that they'll do anything it takes to
- 25:47Speaker 1: make the team better. Then how do we have those
- 25:51Speaker 1: two things happening at the same time and then we
- 25:53Speaker 1: get this offseason? Like if that, if those two things
- 25:57Speaker 1: are true, then how like Lamar Jackson aside, he's like
- 26:02Speaker 1: the tip of the iceberg, right, Like, how is how
- 26:04Speaker 1: are they so out on every single wide receiver because
- 26:07Speaker 1: the price is too high because Denver wants a first
- 26:10Speaker 1: round pick for Jerry Judy or the Cardinals want a
- 26:13Speaker 1: package for DeAndre Hopkins instead of just giving him to you. Yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 1: and I don't get that either, because if you're not
- 26:19Speaker 1: going to go pay a wide receiver, are you going
- 26:21Speaker 1: to have a true judgment of Mac this year? And
- 26:23Speaker 1: if you don't get that true judgment, are you going
- 26:25Speaker 1: to pay Mac? Like? Why not pay for a receiver? Now?
- 26:28Speaker 1: Do what you have to do, get a true judgment
- 26:31Speaker 1: of Mac, and then when it comes to his contract negotiations,
- 26:35Speaker 1: you have just a way better picture to me. Yeah,
- 26:38Speaker 1: you know, criticism, Thank God for Tom Brady, But I
- 26:42Speaker 1: think Tom Brady jaded. He well, he's the one that
- 26:47Speaker 1: got away, No, but he chasing him forever. He gave
- 26:51Speaker 1: people the ability to think a certain way in that
- 26:54Speaker 1: way may not be applicable situation. It's the thing I
- 26:59Speaker 1: always tease Deuce about, you know, And I'm just I
- 27:01Speaker 1: joke around with them. But I always still believe in
- 27:03Speaker 1: Santa Claus like you still believe. It was because Chris
- 27:07Speaker 1: Board was here and he was covering kicks and that
- 27:10Speaker 1: was the difference between that strong middle class. Right, it works.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I believe I believe in a strong middle class. I
- 27:18Speaker 1: can believe in a lot of the principles that the
- 27:19Speaker 1: Patriots do while still believing that you won titles because
- 27:23Speaker 1: you had the best player who's ever played. And he
- 27:26Speaker 1: he says in the same press conference that he feels
- 27:30Speaker 1: fortunate to have coached the best players at their positions
- 27:34Speaker 1: and Brady Slater and LT It's another one that's not
- 27:37Speaker 1: an accident. He says that, but then he does he
- 27:41Speaker 1: doesn't want to go get the players, so I just
- 27:44Speaker 1: because I did that, I just don't. I don't understand that.
- 27:49Speaker 1: That's what he thinks. I'm convinced of it. He thinks
- 27:52Speaker 1: he was as responsible for those three guys as anything.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'll give him credit, his share of the credit. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: give him no credit for Lawrence Taylor. I mean, the
- 28:00Speaker 1: second overall pick of the draft, greatest defensive player who's
- 28:02Speaker 1: ever played. I'll give him his share the credit, just
- 28:06Speaker 1: to be just to be fair. And I don't think
- 28:08Speaker 1: anybody really coached him, That's what I'm saying. Just did
- 28:11Speaker 1: what he wanted and he was so good it didn't matter.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Like I'll give him. I'll give him a lot of
- 28:14Speaker 1: credit for Brady, like I don't think just anybody in
- 28:16Speaker 1: Heroit's the sixth round pick one hundred and ninety nine
- 28:19Speaker 1: overall and becomes the greatest ever. I'll give Bill his
- 28:22Speaker 1: lions share of credit for that, but Lawrence Taylor, come on, Yeah,
- 28:26Speaker 1: there just seems to be a disconnect between how do
- 28:31Speaker 1: you I agree that there is a place in your
- 28:34Speaker 1: team building strategy for the middle class and for the
- 28:36Speaker 1: special teamers and for depth throughout your roster and things
- 28:40Speaker 1: like that. But the guy that coached Tom Brady, I
- 28:43Speaker 1: think he has coached more than just three guys that
- 28:46Speaker 1: were the best player in the position, because I would
- 28:48Speaker 1: I would say Gronk is the greatest tight end of
- 28:49Speaker 1: all time too, So that's four guys that he's So
- 28:52Speaker 1: how do you look at your teams in the past.
- 28:54Speaker 1: The reason why the middle class and the special teams
- 28:57Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff worked out for you
- 28:59Speaker 1: is because Brady and Gronkowski and Edelman and mccordy and
- 29:03Speaker 1: high Town they were driving the bus. So those guys
- 29:06Speaker 1: were at the front of the bus, and they were
- 29:08Speaker 1: at the wheel, and then that way there. The Chris
- 29:11Speaker 1: Boards of the world just had to do their specific
- 29:14Speaker 1: job on the team. And yeah, those details might have
- 29:17Speaker 1: gotten you six super Bowls, but the guys at the
- 29:19Speaker 1: front of the bus were the reason why you were
- 29:21Speaker 1: even in the dance. And I just don't understand how
- 29:25Speaker 1: that we've lost that that now all of a sudden,
- 29:29Speaker 1: that those guys don't don't matter as much and we
- 29:34Speaker 1: can still sign every special team are under the sun,
- 29:38Speaker 1: But when it comes to Jerry Judy and the Broncos,
- 29:41Speaker 1: that's too much. No, we can't. We can't make that train.
- 29:45Speaker 1: And that's kind of what you know, what I was
- 29:47Speaker 1: talking about two weeks ago, and we had the argument
- 29:49Speaker 1: about like the money, like it's all relative. I understand
- 29:52Speaker 1: that the number of you know, the number attached to
- 29:55Speaker 1: those guys is lower than Jerry Judy, But to me,
- 30:00Speaker 1: it's more of a symbolic thing, like I'll spend more
- 30:02Speaker 1: money than I need to on this, but I won't
- 30:06Speaker 1: spend more money than I need to won that. And
- 30:08Speaker 1: I like, I've never understood that all along. And he's
- 30:11Speaker 1: gotten away with it because he didn't need Jerry Judy
- 30:13Speaker 1: with Tom Brady, because Brandon Lafel was just fine right
- 30:17Speaker 1: with Tom Brady. I'd rather have the hardworking middle class guys,
- 30:22Speaker 1: you know, those guys wouldn't be good enough with Mac Jones,
- 30:26Speaker 1: But they were good enough with Tom Brady. And if
- 30:28Speaker 1: money is not a problem and balls is not a problem,
- 30:32Speaker 1: to go out and get it, and we're wishy washy
- 30:35Speaker 1: on the quarterback that you have, then I don't even
- 30:38Speaker 1: know what we're talking about with Lamar Jackson. This is
- 30:41Speaker 1: a no brainer. If all of these things are not issues,
- 30:46Speaker 1: and mac Jones is an open competition with Bailey Zappy,
- 30:51Speaker 1: then Lamar Jackson should be a Patriot. Then go out,
- 30:54Speaker 1: go and do it then, because clearly you don't feel
- 30:56Speaker 1: like you're not convinced that the quarterback is good enough.
- 31:00Speaker 1: So what are we waiting for to use a rocky
- 31:03Speaker 1: interesting day yesterday? Not expected. I did not expect. I
- 31:06Speaker 1: did not expect I pretty much. I was just gonna say.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I did not expect Meek Mill to be the source
- 31:15Speaker 1: of NFL news. Yes, I expected Bill's press conference to
- 31:19Speaker 1: go pretty much as it did. I did not expect
- 31:22Speaker 1: Robert Kraft drop that kind of a bomb. Shitty Oh,
- 31:24Speaker 1: by the way, I had one person here who said,
- 31:27Speaker 1: all I really thought that the media let Bill off
- 31:29Speaker 1: the hook yesterday. I thought the media was excellent. I
- 31:32Speaker 1: thought that they asked and you know me, I never
- 31:34Speaker 1: say it. I would like to, and I don't know
- 31:36Speaker 1: if we'll have the opportunity because usually now they give
- 31:39Speaker 1: the pre draft press conference to grow. So it's not Bill,
- 31:43Speaker 1: but the questions that I asked grow about number one
- 31:45Speaker 1: wide receivers and paying premiums for that position. I genuinely
- 31:50Speaker 1: do not think that Bill agrees with that premise. I
- 31:54Speaker 1: would agree. I don't think that he believes that Fred's
- 31:57Speaker 1: that receivers are as valuable and as the rest of
- 32:01Speaker 1: the league does. And we're getting to the point now
- 32:03Speaker 1: where he is on an island. Yeah, with this opinion.
- 32:05Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about with people like us, he's
- 32:08Speaker 1: on an island, but the people that he's in the
- 32:09Speaker 1: photos with at the owner's meetings. Every other team is
- 32:13Speaker 1: willing to shell out twenty plus million dollars when they
- 32:16Speaker 1: have a star receiver of that caliber except him. Yeah. So, Evan,
- 32:21Speaker 1: when you you brought up the Gronk part, like, you know,
- 32:24Speaker 1: that's another greatest player we had a great Remember we
- 32:27Speaker 1: used to do this with with Andy. We would have
- 32:29Speaker 1: all these things about how many different greatest of all time?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Like could you throw Adam Vinatieri in there? Going to say,
- 32:36Speaker 1: oh yeah, you know, like is he the greatest kicker.
- 32:38Speaker 1: You can make an argument that he's the greatest kicker
- 32:40Speaker 1: of all time, right right, And we would talk about that,
- 32:44Speaker 1: like who could be a candidate for that? We used
- 32:46Speaker 1: to We used to waste a lot offseason time on
- 32:48Speaker 1: that kind of store back when, as you would like
- 32:51Speaker 1: to say, for back when we were going fourteen and
- 32:52Speaker 1: two First World Problems. Five five paths five hundred is
- 32:57Speaker 1: the ace ticket, hut line web radio at Patriots Die.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Tom is the email address. So that's, uh, that's what
- 33:03Speaker 1: we're talking about here. Um, So why don't we open
- 33:06Speaker 1: up the phone lines and the emails and we'll see
- 33:09Speaker 1: what you have to say. We'll start with Patty and Agawam,
- 33:11Speaker 1: what's up? Patty? Tellub everyone, Hey, Alex my four one
- 33:17Speaker 1: three compatriot show today. Pretty good. Um, Evan, I'm a
- 33:24Speaker 1: little disappointed in you, um, the fact that you can't
- 33:27Speaker 1: be open minded that maybe Meek Mill is in mind
- 33:30Speaker 1: to become the Lamar Jackson's agent. You know, maybe you're
- 33:33Speaker 1: throwing that sort of stuff out there. Sorry, but seriously, um,
- 33:41Speaker 1: I'm telling I'm telling Bill to put his big boy
- 33:43Speaker 1: pants on and make a freaking decision, um, and just
- 33:46Speaker 1: stick with it and live with it. Either Mac, you know,
- 33:49Speaker 1: build around Mac, or trade the pick and get the quarterback.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I think it's pretty much consensus. Lamar Jackson is an
- 33:57Speaker 1: established and a much better quarterback to Mac Joe. But
- 34:00Speaker 1: if you're not going to go out there and get
- 34:02Speaker 1: the guy that's gonna put bucks in the seats, which
- 34:04Speaker 1: I don't think they have a problem with you, then
- 34:06Speaker 1: build around the guy that you drafted in the first round.
- 34:09Speaker 1: If there's one thing I think that New England Patriots
- 34:13Speaker 1: fan and Boston sports fans in general have it, or
- 34:19Speaker 1: that we desires. We want stability. And you know when
- 34:23Speaker 1: when we brought in Bill Parcels and Drew Bloods, did
- 34:26Speaker 1: did we sell up stadium or did we sell up
- 34:29Speaker 1: the stadium when we knew that we were going to
- 34:31Speaker 1: have a team, you know, forever after Bob Praps told
- 34:35Speaker 1: about the team. Technically, yeah, yeah, you know, to make
- 34:39Speaker 1: you up, make up your freaking mind, though not the employee.
- 34:43Speaker 1: You don't have Tom Brady anymore, and just make a
- 34:45Speaker 1: decision and stick to it. That's all I got. Okay,
- 34:48Speaker 1: no good point, Patty, hard words from a hard man. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: let's go to Todd North Carolina hate Todd so earlier,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and I've had this concern. You guys kind of set
- 35:01Speaker 1: poo pooed me and then you gave me some assurance.
- 35:03Speaker 1: What's really cool? But not Bill hasn't lost his basketball, poud.
- 35:05Speaker 1: You're just you're just seeing stuff. You're seeing shadows. But
- 35:08Speaker 1: I think you guys haven't brought up with Devin McCardy
- 35:11Speaker 1: said that Bill just threw his son in to coach
- 35:13Speaker 1: them at all in the room for the DBS, and
- 35:17Speaker 1: he walked in and said, hey, guys, Dad put me here.
- 35:19Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. Help me out, Teach
- 35:21Speaker 1: me what I need to do, like what's going on?
- 35:24Speaker 1: Like that kind of thing. Sure it worked, but does
- 35:27Speaker 1: it work all the time? Like does Bill think that
- 35:30Speaker 1: he can just do whatever he wants and it's gonna work?
- 35:33Speaker 1: Is that the biggest problem? I don't know. I'm really
- 35:35Speaker 1: confused with a lot of the stuff that's going on,
- 35:37Speaker 1: and it doesn't. It scares me that the owner and
- 35:41Speaker 1: the coach and the GM, and the coach and the
- 35:43Speaker 1: GM of course the same person, but three people don't
- 35:45Speaker 1: seem to be And I'm going to split Bill into two.
- 35:47Speaker 1: The three people don't seem to be all on the
- 35:49Speaker 1: same page. I don't even know if coach GM and
- 35:52Speaker 1: are on the same page. And that's scary because it's
- 35:54Speaker 1: the same guy. So I don't know it's yeah, yeah,
- 36:00Speaker 1: I mean that was that was another thing that uh,
- 36:02Speaker 1: you know mccordy's been making. Yeah, I think the mccordy
- 36:06Speaker 1: thing is interesting. Yeah, you guys surprised with how candidate's been. Yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 1: I the Steve Belichick thing, I don't care as much
- 36:15Speaker 1: about that as everybody else, to be honest with you, Yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 1: because I already knew that Devin mccordy was the safety's
- 36:19Speaker 1: coach anyway, and he told me he was last year.
- 36:22Speaker 1: He's room in a room with a bunch of veterans
- 36:24Speaker 1: right on purpose, and and Brian is taking the same
- 36:27Speaker 1: path for the same reason. And he told him two
- 36:30Speaker 1: weeks before the offseason program, not two weeks before the season,
- 36:34Speaker 1: like you know. It was. This was in March that
- 36:37Speaker 1: he told him that, Hey, you're gonna I care about
- 36:39Speaker 1: it from a larger point of view, but I already
- 36:43Speaker 1: knew that Devin mccordy was responsible for the safeties. Yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what's gonna happen now, like
- 36:48Speaker 1: Devin said, he walked into a room with Devin, pat
- 36:52Speaker 1: Chung Harmon and Nate Ebner, Like, could you get more
- 36:55Speaker 1: high IQ and experience at one position group in one room?
- 36:59Speaker 1: I think you would be hard pressed to do that.
- 37:02Speaker 1: So that was the perfect in that moment. That was
- 37:05Speaker 1: probably the best place to break in a new coach
- 37:07Speaker 1: would be basically with four coaches on the field at
- 37:10Speaker 1: their respective areas of expertise. You know, And I know
- 37:14Speaker 1: it's nepotism, it is, it's nepotism, but I think in
- 37:17Speaker 1: this case, Bill has the utmost confidence in Brian and Steve,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and maybe it's well deserved because I mean, you know,
- 37:24Speaker 1: like sometimes as a father you have good instincts about
- 37:28Speaker 1: your kids. There's something to be said about growing up
- 37:30Speaker 1: with Bill Buck and learning from him every single day
- 37:34Speaker 1: of your life. Absolutely so like that, I'm not like,
- 37:38Speaker 1: you know, up in arms about that. Like you know,
- 37:41Speaker 1: there's also parents are like, my kid can't do that,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and they make an honest decision that way. But you
- 37:46Speaker 1: can also have an honest decision in a positive way
- 37:49Speaker 1: to say, no, my kid is good and I'm gonna
- 37:51Speaker 1: give him that shot. Yeah, it's nepotism, but at the
- 37:55Speaker 1: same time, the kid could actually be good. You know,
- 37:58Speaker 1: it's all nepotism. Does it always mean that the kids
- 38:01Speaker 1: not qualified? Upper arms is a strong one. I don't.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I don't see why you would be upper arms about it,
- 38:05Speaker 1: but I don't. I'm not happy about it either. I
- 38:07Speaker 1: kind of fall in the middle of all you guys like,
- 38:10Speaker 1: I don't know that it. Like I said, I think then,
- 38:14Speaker 1: the more I talked to Devin mccordy, the more I
- 38:16Speaker 1: think he was a lot. I think I kind of
- 38:20Speaker 1: undersold in my mind his value. The more I hear
- 38:24Speaker 1: de muccority talk. I like, I think he was responsible
- 38:28Speaker 1: for what they did in the first half in Kansas
- 38:30Speaker 1: City in eighteen. Sure, I'll never forget that game. I
- 38:34Speaker 1: don't know what I forget might be. I don't if
- 38:37Speaker 1: it was a preseason game or something, or a first
- 38:40Speaker 1: or second game of the regular season. It was away
- 38:43Speaker 1: game in New Orleans and he didn't play, or didn't
- 38:47Speaker 1: play the second half, whatever it was. His not being
- 38:51Speaker 1: on the field was you know, the effect of that
- 38:54Speaker 1: was immediate. You could see just the dysfunction in the
- 38:57Speaker 1: back defensive bat field just from him not being there.
- 39:00Speaker 1: You know, and that was like, you know, not right
- 39:05Speaker 1: away in his career, but it was like, you know,
- 39:06Speaker 1: maybe seven years into his career or six years into
- 39:09Speaker 1: his career, you could see the difference between him being
- 39:12Speaker 1: out there and him not being out there in terms
- 39:14Speaker 1: of just keeping everything together. He was a coach of
- 39:17Speaker 1: the field. He was absolutely a coach on the field.
- 39:21Speaker 1: You know. I just think that it's the nepotism thing
- 39:25Speaker 1: and blaming stuff on him giving jobs to Steve and
- 39:30Speaker 1: Bright like that. That is so low on my list
- 39:33Speaker 1: of reasons why they're in the position that they're in
- 39:35Speaker 1: right now. You know, if you want to take aim
- 39:38Speaker 1: at what they did with on offense last year, or
- 39:41Speaker 1: the special team's coaching, or the way that Bill builds
- 39:44Speaker 1: the roster, like the quarterback even I'll get all those
- 39:47Speaker 1: things come first before we get to Steve Belichick. Yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 1: it would be a much different story if the players
- 39:53Speaker 1: didn't respect them. But I mean, even that quote about
- 39:56Speaker 1: Steve that I think kind of got really taken out
- 39:59Speaker 1: of context when all the nuances stripped from it. Both
- 40:01Speaker 1: Chris Long and Devin on that podcast are talking about
- 40:04Speaker 1: how much they admire and respect Steve for coming in
- 40:06Speaker 1: and saying like, I'm not gonna tell you guys what
- 40:09Speaker 1: to do just because I'm Bill Belichick's son. I'm here
- 40:10Speaker 1: to learn from you guys, and are all going to collop.
- 40:12Speaker 1: Meant that the show is honesty, right you know? Um yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: So I mean, like again, we talked about the brain
- 40:20Speaker 1: drain that's happened here in Foxboro. You can't understate that.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You know, it's it's it's a real thing. And I
- 40:26Speaker 1: think you know, Bill has always liked to bring up
- 40:29Speaker 1: the coaches in the system so that when they ready,
- 40:31Speaker 1: they there's a comfort level, there's continuity. You know, we're
- 40:35Speaker 1: not loyalty. Yeah, you know, everyone's on the same page,
- 40:39Speaker 1: and you know, you get that brain drain. And I
- 40:41Speaker 1: think Bill's like, I'm I'm just as confident in my
- 40:44Speaker 1: two sons as somebody I'm going to bring in from
- 40:46Speaker 1: the outside. So let's just stick to what we know here.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I'm I'm okay with that, I really am. Let's go
- 40:55Speaker 1: to Gavin in Colorado Springs. What's up, Gavin? Hey, Hey, Paul,
- 41:00Speaker 1: what's going on guys? Uh? Twenty nineteen? Actually, yeah, no,
- 41:08Speaker 1: I'm just kind of kind of here in Colorado. You
- 41:10Speaker 1: don't just kind of enjoining joined the Higher here so high?
- 41:16Speaker 1: No not oh no, but hey, you guys don't really
- 41:20Speaker 1: think there's a chance of getting Lamar, do you? I mean,
- 41:23Speaker 1: I know there's of course I want it. Here's the thing.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest here. Okay, if Lamar gets traded
- 41:31Speaker 1: to the Patriots, I'll buy you guys a week worth
- 41:34Speaker 1: of lunch with a caveat that Edvan Kenny Sorry, I've
- 41:38Speaker 1: stopped listening to the show ever since Van has like
- 41:41Speaker 1: his he has really good analynce stuff like that. Just
- 41:43Speaker 1: just a voice, man, I'm sorry, it just turns. Wow,
- 41:47Speaker 1: that's hard. I know, I know, I'm not trying to
- 41:50Speaker 1: be a troll or anything, not your face, but he
- 41:53Speaker 1: said it to you directly. I can give you my address,
- 41:55Speaker 1: you can come say it to my face. You don't
- 41:59Speaker 1: want that smoke. I can make fun of even you can't.
- 42:04Speaker 1: That's not right. Yeah, no, I said, I'm not trying
- 42:06Speaker 1: to be a troll. Year but that week's worse. Lutch
- 42:09Speaker 1: is Evan can eat all Okay, Okay, all right, good one, Gavin,
- 42:12Speaker 1: good call. Thanks for Let's go to Jared in New Orleans.
- 42:17Speaker 1: What's up Jared? See everybody, Hey, just a little bit
- 42:21Speaker 1: and bit and whiles I got thought they were calling.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I have two things for yall, and I'll take the
- 42:26Speaker 1: answer all there because I'm currently driving somewhere. UM One is, uh,
- 42:32Speaker 1: what second year player do y'all believe you can take
- 42:35Speaker 1: a step forward in this new offense that we have
- 42:37Speaker 1: with Bill O'Brien and second and second, Um, after the
- 42:41Speaker 1: Huddle podcast is taken off. We just finished our first
- 42:45Speaker 1: guest interview last night and so we're taking off. Its
- 42:48Speaker 1: doing very I've heard about that podcast all over the news. Yeah, yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 1: thanks Jared. These calls, Yeah, what what second year back
- 42:56Speaker 1: to like promote their platforms? I mean, I'm just talking.
- 42:59Speaker 1: I would say Tae Kwon do Yeah. I mean you
- 43:01Speaker 1: could say like one of the running backs or something,
- 43:03Speaker 1: but I think it's got to be Taekwon Gordon. Yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I would say so too. Yeah, let's go to Rashad
- 43:09Speaker 1: in Baltimore who just called in good timing, Michaud, what's up?
- 43:14Speaker 1: They what's up? What's up? Not a very hard act
- 43:16Speaker 1: to fall over. You should be better than the last two. Well,
- 43:20Speaker 1: don't worry. We don't worry. I'm not gonna be promoting
- 43:22Speaker 1: no podcast on not like the news yesterday. Well, I
- 43:28Speaker 1: don't even know if it's news the speculation. As soon
- 43:31Speaker 1: as I saw it, you know, I got excited because
- 43:34Speaker 1: that's I mean, Lamar Jackson coming to the Patriots. That's
- 43:38Speaker 1: and I've been wanting to keep it in college. Are
- 43:41Speaker 1: you kidding me? I mean, I remember the day that
- 43:43Speaker 1: we heard that they were going to sign Cam Newton.
- 43:45Speaker 1: We were freaking out. I was, you know, I have
- 43:47Speaker 1: to be guilty of Yeah. We were like, you know,
- 43:49Speaker 1: we forgot about the last few years. We were just
- 43:51Speaker 1: thinking about Cam Newton and his prime. It's like, oh,
- 43:53Speaker 1: he's a Patriot. If they did Lamar Jackson, oh man,
- 43:57Speaker 1: we're talking emergency podcast even if it's a Tuesday. But
- 44:01Speaker 1: the one thing that I will I do want Lamar.
- 44:04Speaker 1: But the one thing I will say, I do feel
- 44:07Speaker 1: bad for Mac Jones because he's been put in a
- 44:10Speaker 1: lot of uncomfortable situation saying I agree, like, you know,
- 44:14Speaker 1: if I feel like that was me, like you know,
- 44:16Speaker 1: in this situation like that, I'd be like if if
- 44:19Speaker 1: my bosses really don't trust me like that, then do
- 44:22Speaker 1: I really feel comfortable here? It's a good point. I
- 44:24Speaker 1: don't feel like they're setting them up again to have. Yeah,
- 44:28Speaker 1: you know, extenuating circumstances. It's a really good point. You know,
- 44:33Speaker 1: the league and definitely worse situations, but this optic even
- 44:37Speaker 1: like what I just said, you know, like about Lamar Jackson.
- 44:40Speaker 1: If Matt Jones is listening like he's like few, you know,
- 44:46Speaker 1: I don't blame him. I don't blame him. I hope
- 44:48Speaker 1: you would have that mindset. Yeah. The last part of
- 44:51Speaker 1: what he said, though, is about being comfortable. Just we
- 44:55Speaker 1: can't put ourselves in his shoes directly, but just in
- 44:57Speaker 1: our own walk of life. If you knew that your
- 45:00Speaker 1: bosses were so wishy washy on you and your owner
- 45:04Speaker 1: is looking the other way. I mean, it's been hard
- 45:07Speaker 1: the last twenty years. Yeah, operating under that premise. We
- 45:11Speaker 1: also don't know how they speak together privately, like we
- 45:14Speaker 1: just thanks for shot. I agree with your point that
- 45:18Speaker 1: Bill is using the media as a mechanism. Mac Jones,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I agree with that, but at some point in time
- 45:28Speaker 1: it becomes excessive. And I think that Bill continuing to
- 45:32Speaker 1: bok at the idea that Mac is his starter, and
- 45:34Speaker 1: then Robert, whether it was jokingly or not, talking about
- 45:40Speaker 1: acquiring another quarterback. If I'm Mac Jones. I'm starting to
- 45:45Speaker 1: either you're going to use it as motivation and it's
- 45:48Speaker 1: going to drive you, or you're starting to think about
- 45:50Speaker 1: the next step. Yeah, Like I think that those kinds
- 45:53Speaker 1: of things to me are more damaging to the quarterback then, like, well,
- 45:58Speaker 1: they've got to go out and get them weapons. You
- 46:00Speaker 1: should be able to succeed with whatever you have, you know,
- 46:02Speaker 1: to a level. Now, should you be better with Stefan Diggs. Yeah, absolutely,
- 46:08Speaker 1: he's a better player than DeVante Parker. But this kind
- 46:12Speaker 1: of stuff to me is hard to just overlook. Again,
- 46:15Speaker 1: I've been pretty critical of Mac Jones, but I have
- 46:18Speaker 1: to take his side on this stuff. Why can't the
- 46:21Speaker 1: coach just say he's the starting quarterback? Right? He did
- 46:24Speaker 1: it last year? Heading it to last year. Was anybody saying,
- 46:28Speaker 1: you know, are you confident with Mac Jones year two? Like?
- 46:32Speaker 1: It was right, it was a non issue. It was
- 46:34Speaker 1: a non non story. Now he didn't have a good
- 46:37Speaker 1: year and we have a laundry list of reasons why
- 46:43Speaker 1: and he can't say he's the starting quarterback again four
- 46:45Speaker 1: or five times. Yeah, I'm in the opportunity. I agree
- 46:48Speaker 1: with Evan. It's not an accident. He's doing it on purpose,
- 46:51Speaker 1: and I think, I you know, I don't know, but
- 46:54Speaker 1: I think it has just as much to do with
- 46:56Speaker 1: what the attitude was last year. It's the performance. Yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 1: I think it. Like Alex said, he's like using like
- 47:02Speaker 1: us to sort of keep his quarterback down. Well, that's
- 47:06Speaker 1: you a job. When the commander's brass talked yesterday and
- 47:10Speaker 1: said more said more nicer things about Sam Howell than
- 47:16Speaker 1: Bill Belichick would say about Mac Jones, I just I
- 47:20Speaker 1: look at that. I look at what the Niners were
- 47:22Speaker 1: all saying about brock Purty yesterday. You know these other
- 47:25Speaker 1: quarterbacks that quite frankly, are way less experienced and just
- 47:29Speaker 1: way less complied. Yeah. I think there's a lot of
- 47:33Speaker 1: questions about Mac Jones, but he has played for two
- 47:37Speaker 1: years as the starting quarterback, and it's like he's back
- 47:40Speaker 1: a square one trying to beat Cam Newton. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 47:46Speaker 1: all right, let's get to some of these emails. Um,
- 47:49Speaker 1: let's see James Pettigrew, the most interesting Patriots fan of
- 47:53Speaker 1: the world, says, I love everything about Evan. He is
- 47:56Speaker 1: like useful Eric and in that respect a fantastic addition
- 48:00Speaker 1: of the show. Well, I mean, I would say, and
- 48:03Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not joking. The difference between Evan and
- 48:06Speaker 1: the guy he replaced is the biggest gap that we
- 48:10Speaker 1: could possibly have had. I liked I liked Eric, but
- 48:12Speaker 1: like the football that he brought to the show. Eric
- 48:15Speaker 1: hates football. Correct. Problem Correct, he hated the Patriots and
- 48:18Speaker 1: he hated football not as much. All. He didn't hate
- 48:22Speaker 1: the Patriots. That's not true. Well, he was a Patriots fan.
- 48:25Speaker 1: He was a huge Patriots fan. But I don't I
- 48:28Speaker 1: don't think he really loved covering football. Yeah, it's the
- 48:30Speaker 1: nicest thing you ever said to me. Um. Oh, the
- 48:33Speaker 1: talent gap there is off the chart, Brandon writes in
- 48:36Speaker 1: UM about Fred is him. He says, Matt, please go
- 48:39Speaker 1: ahead and mark where Fred said. I'll never forget the game.
- 48:41Speaker 1: I forget typical. Typical Fred, you have a lot of
- 48:47Speaker 1: those you like that out that really got you. Huh Okay,
- 48:49Speaker 1: he's like giggling over there. She's just thinking of Lamar
- 48:52Speaker 1: jack She's got like her hairs all curly today. She's
- 48:55Speaker 1: got a little wave going in with Lamar Jackson. Yeah,
- 48:59Speaker 1: if he'll at us right, all right, we're gonna take
- 49:03Speaker 1: a break. We'll get back to more on your calls
- 49:05Speaker 1: right after this. Verizon, the network America relies on, and

- 1:02:25Speaker 1: a joint and a blunt and a spliff? I heard
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I heard a little of that talk today. I didn't
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: know what a blunt was. I had to I had

- 1:02:43Speaker 1: the gentleman, that's what he makes himself a nice fifty
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: fifty mix? Now? Is it an? It's a spliff sliff? Yeah,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: I don't know why I thought it was screed bliff
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: if you want to pronounced splif spliffy now now, was
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I understand it? Matthew, Um, it's pronounced spliff? That is
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: that correct? Yeah? No, I did. I learned a little
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: something today listening to Hardy and our Cans. But the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: blood is marijuana, pot dope, as as you would as
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: you would acquire and enjoy it. But the blunt itself
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: is actually just the role. Is that correct? What about
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the chronic chronics, the type of marijuana. I mean, I
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: lived in California. What about the white widow? What is that? Now? Okay,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: we go, we gotta shoot the postgame. This is the
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: best part is what people stay up for. The guy
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: in UK, he's still listening. It's six o'clock in the morning. Man,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: What are here to provide a service? What is the
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: stickiest of the key? I need to know? What about
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the chronic That's another great moment from all right, technically
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: that's a great moment from the postgame show. But it was, Sorry,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: it was I learned a lot that day. Yeah, as uh,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you know, one of the very few that does not partake. Yeah,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I learned a whole lot of new terms that day.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: All right, Um, excuse me? Is that I'm called a
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: split artist? Please? Oh no one, No one cares. Wow. Hey,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: so um calling from Phoenix is our own duce, duce?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: What's up? What's up? Guys? So are you on the
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: way to the airport? In the airport, what's going on?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: We're still just wrapping up here at the owner's meetings.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: We we saw the NFC coaches today, not not obviously
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: not the eventful day that yesterday was with Bill and
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: mister Craft speaking, but yeah, we're just wrapping things up here.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: So yeah, it's been fun. So what is your take
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: about yesterday? I mean, because you know, it's obviously the
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Patriots were front and center because of the press conference
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: is with Bill and Robert? What what? What's your take
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: on everything? Yeah, I gotta we were listening to you
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: guys at the start of the show, and I mean
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I echo a lot of what you guys are saying.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, I feel a little bit just I
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: don't know. I think this season now, the drama has
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: raised a little bit for me. Um, you know, some
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: of the contradictions and things. It's just, uh, I don't know.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I'm trying. I'm trying not to go off like because
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: I feel like I'm saving that when I come back
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: on Thursday to kind of really unload how I really feel.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: But it's it's it's just walking around listening to other teams.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I mean, there's certainly look, everybody's filling the team building
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: process and all that, and you know, we can preach patients.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: But everything you guys said this morning about everything, I
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: fully agree, and I mean I just I think am
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I going to be able to talk about this myself
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: here a little bit from from having a call in
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: and do you know, really really unleash. Yeah, so like
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: when it happened been yesterday, Like, was there like a
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: as much a buzz among the people there as there
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: was like on social media and over here. Yeah, that's
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: a great question, Fred. I mean it's so interesting because
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I mean standing right there on the you know, right
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: next to them as these things are being said, and
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: you just know in real time the kind of things
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: that that are absolutely going to take hold. I mean
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: talking with Mike Reese after the you know, the twenty
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: five years comment, I mean that one. The second that
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: came out, I was like, then there it is. That's
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: going to be the one that everybody's talking about. You know,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: didn't the meek Mill thing happened like a little side
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: interview that after his after Robert's main interview. So I
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: wasn't there to actually hear that one, but good job,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: but we sent you out there hit all the news.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: All of a sudden, Reese came running in while and
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: he was like, oh, hey, you know, we just got
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: this little bit from Robert, so he he kind of
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: broke that one for me. So, um, yeah, it was
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: you could tell those moments and then it's it's funny
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: because you know, this morning I just kind of float
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: and listen to the NSD coaches and uh and certainly
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: the Packers. I mean they won the weekend I think
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: for media contingent um there, but yeah, there was there
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: was you knew right from the get go when those
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: things came out that that you know, it didn't really
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: feel like all the media like looked around and were
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: like ooh, but but you sure knew what was happening.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: So other than that, like you know, give us sort
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: of a sense of like what's going on there? I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: know the built Moore is an unbelievable looking place, but
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: you know, tell us other things that are going on. Well,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to complain about my flight, but I
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: will say, uh, I did spend twelve hours in the
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: airport on Sunday, and then I found out today that
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: that American while trying to rebook my flight, actually canceled
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: my flight back. So luckily I discovered that before I
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: went to the airport. So that's uh, that's my media,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: my travel grousing. Um. But I have to say the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: party last night was was pretty cool. Um, you know
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: that was back here at the Bill Moore and just
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: an absolute who's who of everybody in the NFL. You know,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: it's like every time you turn around or look at somebody,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: you know, it's like, oh, there's so you know, just everybody, Broadcasters,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you know, coaches, um, you know, didn't didn't see much
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: of the Patriots guys there when we got there, but um,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: that was pretty cool. Actually, my dad worked with Matt
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Hasselbeck's dad at Rebought for a while, so they talked
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: to Matt Hasselbeck a little bit. So that was kind
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: of fun. Um, lots of good food, just a you know,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a fun party. And then we we we finished it
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: off as as Evan will appreciate, with a late night
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: trip to in and out. So so that was a
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: lot of fun. And yeah, okay, what did you get, Dues?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Oh that's the classic, that double double What I think
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I gotta hit it one more time before we head
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: to the airport too. Chuck got out of double Berg,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: but I'm looking forward to getting back. It was fun
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: listening to your guys takes this morning, and certainly it's
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: just I think you guys are dead on with with everything.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: You're kind of staying and you know some of the contradictions,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: and you know, the Lamar thing is just it's the
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: big elephant in the room right now. And I mean,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I still think based on Hardball yesterday that it seems
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: to me like he's probably gonna go back to Baltimore,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: and it still feels like we're in negotiations. But at
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the same time, you know, I think it was Evan
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: that just said, I mean, if this guy's available and
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: you really don't think mac Jones is a guy and
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: you think competition and with Bailey Dappy, then you know
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: we'll go get them. Like what are we doing? Yeah, well,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Deuce um, safe travels. I hope everything works out with
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: your flight, and thanks for calling in. We'll see when
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you get back here. All right, thank guys. All right,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: so your deuce Deuce coming in from Have you've got
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: a chance to cover some of the Super Bowls and
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: go to the parties? Right? Yes? Yeah, I think I
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: think that's Mike's first quote unquote party NFL party. Yeah.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: When I the Super Bowl in Atlanta was at the Aquarium, yep,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: which was pretty cool. Yeah, I remember that. But I
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: would say that you know, we've been we've been to.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: We've been our few. But I would say in terms
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of just star power, NFL star power, that's probably more
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: what Deuce just witness was more condensed than NFL because
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: the NFL you get all the sponsors and all this
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: other you know VIP. Yeah, and and this was just
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: parties like the like the big one at the the
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Aquarium that Evan mentioned. That's an NFL that's a media party, right.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: So you see everybody that there is to see in
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: the media, but you're not seeing coaches walking around. Our
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: owners walk around. You see some, yeah, but not not
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: a ton, whereas I think this one, it's all that. Yeah,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: all the coaches and all the right the owners and whatnot.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Just I'm sure that they're thrilled to have the media
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: you know, around all the time. But No Socks must
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: have been in his glory. Yeah, No, Socks had some
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: front and center. He was holding the light, the you know,
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: the lighting Yeah for I think Bill, No for Robert Roberts,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: because that was outside, right, Bills was inside. Yeah. I
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: love no socks on the road. Yeah, No socks is
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: fun on the road. Good time. Oh yeah, let's go
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: to Ethan in Kentucky. What's up, Ethan Ethan, good job,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Hardy Ethan in Kentucky. Not there anymore. Let's go to
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Chris in Scottsdale, speaking of Phoenix. What's up, Hey, guys,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: how are you good? Have you seen Deuce good? Good? Hey? Um,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: you man, you can't call in here and talk like that.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I agree to our new guys. Come on, man, Yeah,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: who says that? Honestly? What's he talking about? But the
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Gavin guy has like a million can take. Oh no,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: I will fight that guy. He can come whenever you want.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: He doesn't, he doesn't take kindly. You didn't even see
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: what that guy looks like. I would never be a
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: fight with someone I haven't seen physical. I mean that
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: guy might be big enough to be able to walk
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: a great Dane, might be side my fist. A right, Hey,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I got I got a question for you guys, okay,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and I just wanted to get your thoughts on there. Um.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Oh and by the way, Bread, thanks for picking on
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: me for not knowing Matt Matt Slater's name last last
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: week when I was calling in in the midst of
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: doing six. Well, I mean you went on this thing
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: about how great a fan you are, and yeah, you
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: do already know who Matt Slater is. Yeah, and me
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: watching two games last year. I watched the NFL. I
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: just didn't watch our team, you know, puke on themselves
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: every Sunday because we're not you know, doing the necessary
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: things of a real team. Okay, but you know you
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: should be watching all right? Anyway, go ahead here, here's
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: why I'm calling in InCred I do want your thoughts
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: on this, and and Paul everybody there than ask the question, Okay,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: the quarterback that's uh in the draft, that's that's a
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Lamar clone? What's his name? Anthony Richardson? Anthony Richardson? Why
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: would we not just invest the draft capital to to
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: go up and get that guy? If we're willing to
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: take a quarterback like Lamar On, who is an if
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: he you know, pastor of the football, but his electric
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you know, moving and you know, uh, can I take this?
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: You think Anthony Richardson is a more sure thing than
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. No, I'm not saying that he is necessarily,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: But what I'm trying to say is you would have
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: him on the rookie contract right at that, but what
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: if he can't play? You've invested significant draft capital to
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: move up to get a guy who might not be
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: able to play. I mean, he did not have a
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: good year at Florida last year, but someday he might
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: be Lamar Jackson. Paul, right, so I will invest in
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: something that I am pretty sure has happened. He's an
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: MVP okay, and Paul, Yeah, no, I hear you on that.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: But what I'm trying to say is I'm not the best.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I'm not the biggest believer in Lamar as as a
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: thrower of the football. I mean, the man is amazing
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: with his legs. Right. Then you don't want any part
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: of Anthony Richardson, then you don't. You don't want to
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: you don't want to extend draft capital to move up
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: and get a guy who was far ifier of a
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: prospect than Lamar Jackson was coming out. If you ask me,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: because you see where I was going, I'm just trying
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: to say, you did that, and then you had the
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: rookie contract and you actually surrounded him with the same
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: kind of scheme fit. You know, wouldn't you be resetting
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: you know, your salary cap and I know the cap
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: is crap. I think Anthony, I think Anthony Richardson is
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I think calling him a Lamar clone is not accurate, Okay,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: and I could be up, I'm not claying. Anthony Richardson
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: is a lot more and stylistically closer to somebody like
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Josh Allen a size wise coming out Cam Newton coming
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: out very very different ways that they win with their
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: legs than Lamar, and has more than his fair share
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: of the mechanical flaws as well. Yeah, but he's electric
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: on the field with his legs, and I do get that.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: I guess it's you know, and I'm definitely you know,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I have to admit it's not like I know everything
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: about Anthony Richardson in terms of a player. I just
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: know that his skill set is supposed to be mobile
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: and you know, rocket cannon arm but you know, not accurate,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and that basically fits Lamar, you know what I mean.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: So yeah, I think you're grossly underselling Lamar and you're
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: grossly overselling Richardson. I mean, just as a point of
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: comparison here. And I know what probably sounds like Evan
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: and I like are lobbying to be Lamar's agency needs one, right.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson at Louisville was the Electric Heisman Trophy winner right,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: not a guy who couldn't even go five hundred with
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Florida right, like to compare to the two at the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: college level is insane. Yeah, Lamar's so. I also think
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: that there's an unfair disconnect with Lamar about his passing ability.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: There's a lot because I hear this a lot on calls,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: on our show calls and other shows, that Lamar is
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: this is a is a shaky passer, can't throw the
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: football uh consistently well? And I just I don't think
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: that that's that's doing him. Oh fair. I think he's
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: improved vastly. I think he's good enough of as a passer.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I don't think he's the most gifted thrower in the league.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: But it's not like I say, like Tim Tebow, he
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: just can't throw right, you know. Yeah, I think he's
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: good and I think he would be better in a
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: better scheme. There's areas of the field where I wouldn't
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: highlight if I had him, Like I wouldn't ask him
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: to throw a bunch outside the numbers because the ball
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: gets a little bit wonky out there. His elbow under
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the ball sometimes and it floats, right. But if you
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: want to, if you're gonna build the offense, the Bill
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: O'Brien offense, and you're building it through the middle of
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: the field anyways. I mean, he's he's money on throws
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: between the numbers for the most part. You know, guy
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: that can really dot it on anticipatory throws coming across
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: the middle a post. Seems like any of that stuff
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: down the middle of the field, that that's that's his
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: bread and butter. When he was coming out, his biggest
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: issue where his feet. His platform was very, very narrow,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and that he had difficult time stepping through and really
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: throwing with a good bass, a solid bass, so his
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: accuracy was inconsistent. But he's really fixed a lot of
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: those things. Anthony Richardson is a complete project. Let's go
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: to William and Philham. What's up? Will him? Very fraid?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: How are you going? All right? I look um, hey, Alvis,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I'm with you all the way. I want Lamar Jackson
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: to no. I'm wanting to call it that called up there,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: you know, and wanting hoping and maybe one day we
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: could get Lamar Jackson, if if it's even possible. I
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: know it's kind of a pipe gam at this point,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: but you know, anything can happen, you know what I mean? So,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: um my questions for Evan, Yes, sir, so Evan, so
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: you um, so what do you think? So you think
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Meek Mills is lying or something? No, I just don't
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: think that, Like, why are we taking Meek Mills word
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: like he's he knows what he's talking about? If you're
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: an athlete, would you rather break news to Adam Schefter
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: or Meek Mill? Okay, I'm just makes you think. So
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: why would he call mister claff up and say that,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: you know and mister kraffa. Maybe Lamar Jackson asked him
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: to go or maybe he's just joking around with with
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: a friend of his like that. That's the thing. I
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: think you're questioning everything about that though, Yeah, because it's
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: it's a rapper. It's not any like he doesn't talk,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: wants to be a rapper, So what does that mean
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: because you're a rapper? So you a media and nothing? No,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't. I'm not. I'm not with
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Evan on like the whole Meek Milton. But I think
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: there were a million reasons why it may or may
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: not be accurate. I think Lamar Jackson could have told
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: him to do it. What if I mean what, it
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily mean he's just trying to drum up, maybe
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: up his contracts, maybe get his deal done. Maybe this
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: disc I'm not saying that Meek Mill purposely lied to
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to Robert Craft, and I'm not saying that Robert Craft
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: lied about the conversation that he had with meek Mill.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I'm just saying that I don't think it's any more
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: realistic than I thought it was yesterday before this happened.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Just because meek Mill, of all people, claims that he
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: wants to play for the Patriots, that's all. Look, look,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I know it's I know it's a pigm at this point,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: and we all wishing to hope I get trust me,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: my expectations are really low about it. So it's just no.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: But just they had it is a little bit of
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: new dying. I'm a little bit exciting. Oh yeah, I
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: mean it's not as excited as allergy. It gets you going,
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: you know, the same, but keep manifesting. Yeah. But what
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I'm thinking is like, oh yeah, but what I'm thinking
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: is like, you know, it could be somebody who Meek
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Mill knows, who told somebody who told somebody got to
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Meek Mill, and Meek Mills just passed him on. Hey,
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: I heard Lamar Jackson wants to be a patriot. You know, like,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: we don't even know how many gossip. Yeah, we don't
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: know how far away Meek Mill is from. I wouldn't
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: imagine too far. Like these guys love rappers, they're in
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the same circles. They're alreadies like it's thank you, but
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: but nobody's safe. But he's not what I think. But
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: you were saying, how do we know this is even true?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: It came from Meek Mill, you said that earlier in
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: the show. How do I know it's even because how
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: do I know that it's actually realistic and it's actually
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: a real thing in the eyes of the Baltimore decision
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: makers and Lamar Jackson and the patriots. I'm not saying that.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I'm just say it's not about Meek Mill no telling
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: the truth or not. It's about what is validity to it. Yeah,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: what difference doesn't make what Meek Mill thinks. It's not
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: what he thinks. It's just he's passing along information. Hey,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Lamar is interested in being a patriot. Yeah, I think
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: that Lamar isn't really interested in anything. I think Lamar
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: is interested in drumming up his marketability. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: think he wants to get his contract as big as
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: it can be. It just like I said, Meek Mills
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: saying this does not make it any more of a
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: done deal that Lamar Jackson is coming saying that though
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: that's all like, it's not about like questioning Meek Mills,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: like validity credentials, right like that. I just feel like
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: it's it seems to me, it's a pretty obvious to
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: me contract ploy. It's a it's a negotiation, like if
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you really want it, Like if you if you're trying
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: to get the biggest contract can get, like supposedly he's
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: turned down over two hundred million guaranteed from Baltimore. Right,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: if you're trying to get the biggest contract you could get,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: would the Patriots be high on that list for you? No?
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: But but does it? But does it benefit Lamar Jackson
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: to have the Patriots attached to it? How many times
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: have we seen that over the year. Yeah, you want
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: as many teams in the mix as possible, but the
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Patriots are an important one because that generates national interest.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: When the Patriots are tied to a guy, especially when
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: the owner will say, bang a little bit awful with
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Alex ay Evan. It's just you know, yeah, mister Kraft
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: has a little connection with Meek Mills, Rick Raws, jay Z.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I mean you know, I mean they at the game
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: sometimes too. I mean, you know, so they do talk
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: and whatnot. So I mean, you know, I don't think
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: it's the craft is gonna just give his number of
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: anybody like that. Oh no, okay, I'm sorry that I
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: took a shot. There's no doubts, no doubt that Meek
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Mill has Robert Kraft's cell phone number. That's not even
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: a question. My question is, like your friends, is this
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: if friendly? Is this Lamar Jackson telling Meek Mill? Or
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: is this you know, five different people removed telling somebody
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: and it gets to Meek Mill. And it really was
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: a conversation where Lamar originally said I'd played for this team,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: this team, this team, and this. I think I don't know,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I don't I don't just count it. I'm with Alex.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: I think that probably Lamar Jackson told Meek Mill I
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: would like to play for the Patriots. Yeah, I just
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: I just have different reasons why I think he may
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: have done that. Yeah, I think he did it to
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: try to get a bigger contract. And my whole thing
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: is I just don't care because at the end of
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: the day, the only person that matters of only people
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: that matter here are Lamar Jackson himself and Bill Belichick.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: So Meek Mill being the third party here is cool,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: like like, it doesn't. It doesn't make Lamar Jackson a
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: patriot just because craft said anyone else texted him an
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: expressed interest in He said his mother. If if Robert
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Crafts said we have had discussions with Lamar Jackson about
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: becoming a patriot, I would say, Okay, this is real.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Meek Mill is saying to hey, Robert, you know I
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: was with Lamar at the club last night and he
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: said that he wants to be a patriot. Like, okay,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: that's his direct I believe that That's not what I'm saying.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: I'm just disputing whether or not Meek Mill actually checks
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: because I think that people are just I'm not. I'm
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: not disputing that, but Evan's not either, So people are
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: still but we're fixating on this part of it. Yeah, No,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I just don't think it means anything. It's a football decision.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: Does the person that runs the football department here at
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: one Patriot Place want Lamar Jackson? Yes or no? Does
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson want to play here? Yes or no? If
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Meek Mill has information that he does, then that's one
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: box checked. We still got another person that we got
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: to convince that it's the right thing to do. And
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: it has nothing to do with Mike Mill. That's all
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: I'm saying. True, do you want? Do you want? Check?
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: He's my favorite player in the so absolutely okay, but
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: we're all on the Lamar the best. Yes I am.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: I am trying to keep my fandom. You don't have
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: to convince us. We don't write thank you? Yeah, all right, thanks? Well, well,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: I keep manifesting for us. I love was a good call.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I love the people. William is one of the better.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I love the people that social. Let's say, I'll take
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson if the money's right. The money's never going
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: to be right. Not my money. Yeah, that's what I
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: don't get money. Money, You're worried about the money. Alex's
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: comment is my favorite comment about sports in general. I
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: don't understand never I understand why teams do it for
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: obvious reasons. I don't understand why fans ever would look
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: at it from that perspectives, like, well, if we can
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: get him at the right pright, what do you kid
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: with the price? That's a poor person's mindset. I don't
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I don't get it. I don't understand. I think they try.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: They try to play GM right, that's what it is,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: and they do it in all sports too. But the
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: guy here has convinced them that value is this very
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: important thing, and that getting a deal on every deal
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: is the is the bottom line. But the only sport
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: that I would even come into my mindset would be
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the NHL hockey because it's because it's such a hardcast.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: So if I give Posture thirteen million instead of eleven million,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: that affects me. Yeah, that doesn't come into play in
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: any other sport. I agree with that. If I give
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: the guy a couple of million more than he really
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: really deserves, it doesn't matter in any other sport, but
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: it matters to fans, and I, like, again, I understand
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: why it would matter to Robert Kraft. I don't want
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: to pay more for a guy than he's worth for
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: obvious reasons. Why do I want to pay more than
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: I have to. But for a fan to sit there
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: and say, if the price is right with Lamar jack
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: what do you care? Do you think the guy's any good? Yeah? Right, Like,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: if you end up paying him forty five a year
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: instead of forty three a year, what do you care?
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: You know? And forget about the draft picks. The reason
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: why you have draft picks is to eventually have guys
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: like Lamar Jackson on your team, you know, so giving
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: up time now if someone relivant, I don't think Lamar
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Jackson's that good. Now, the three of us are obviously different, different,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: but that I understand if a fansies, you know what,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I don't think Lamar Jackson's that good. That the guy
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: in Arizona who's comparing Anthony Richardson to Lamar Jackson, you
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: obviously doesn't think as much of Jackson as we do. Yeah,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: totally understood. Then you're out. You don't want him, And
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: I get that not everybody looks at players and has
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: the same opinion of the player. Joe and Delaware writes
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: in for first, the caller from Colorado should be a
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Broncos fan like Fred Evan For president of Patriots player personnel, Fred,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: do you still have that. Oh wait, Jersey, I do somewhere. Yeh. Second,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: regarding the differences in messaging between Craft and Bill, is
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: just a difference in messaging. I'm calling it Lamar to
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: the Patriots. I can see through all this, Bill said.
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: Robert said, stuff or is it wishful thinking? If it
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: comes out before the end of the show on Thursday
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: that Lamar is a Patriot? I want to peeu shirt,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: give away a shirt. I think they are pursuing Lamar.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: There are a lot of moving pieces. Robert is optimistic
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: it's gonna happen, and Bill is waiting for it to
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: be a done deal. Okay, um, let's see. So we
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: should give away a T shirt, right, give away a
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: T shirt and then I want to get into the
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Lamar All right, We'll give away a Patriots on Filter
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: T shirt. First person with the correct answer emailed to
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: web radio at Patriots dot com will win the T shirt.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: And this should be an easy one. What is Evan
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Lazar's go to lunch place? What is Evan Lazar's go
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: to lunch play? We talked about that on the air
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: a lot. I think we have like raf Airs is
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: he is a good game? Yeah? Um, so first answer
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: correct answer to web Radio Pictures dot Com. Uh, Matt,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: as soon as you see it, call it out so
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: that we don't get flooded with emails. Uh, don't be shure.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: I just scream on, I did we already have it? Already?
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Have it? Wow? Yeah, you're not paying attention. No, I'm
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: paying attention. They just coming so fast they disappear, okay, pressed, Yeah, no,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: they just came flood it in. You got it? Well,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: why don't you just name that? I don't want to
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: use van has like a cult following, So yeah, probably talk.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: We talks about it on Catch twenty two when we
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: go on the road. When we get the information about
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: where we're staying, You don't I put it into Google Maps,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: and I make sure that there's one of these nearby.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: You go all around the country, and we don't want
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: to try the city's cuisine. You don't want to know
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: just this place, well, especially if it's a one o'clock game,
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: because then I need to get it the night before
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: because it won't be open in the morning before we
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: head to the stadium. So I order it the night before,
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: very regimented young man. And uh, and that's what. Yeah, Okay,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: we have the winner, Kentucky, Sam and Kentucky. The answer
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: is Jersey Mike's job a sub above everybody's good jobs. Sam.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: It's the best franchise subplace around. Can't beat it. Yep. Um.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: So I brought up the Baltimore thing a couple of
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: like maybe last week, Lamar Joe, like what you think
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: of Baltimore. And this is another part of the equation.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: It's just how close do you think Lamar Jackson will
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: put the Patriots to being a super Bowl team. I
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: don't want have to go through the whole thing, like
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of people feel like the
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Ravens are a super Bowl contender. I think a lot
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: of people would tell you that the Raiders, the Ravens
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: probably have more talent on their roster than the Patriots do.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: But yet, if Lamar Jackson comes to the Patriots Super Bowl,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I do think that that does speak to a little
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: bit of the cloud that Bill still has among fans
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: and just people in the league that if you give
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: him a player of that caliber at the most important position,
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: he'll figure out how to I think you're becoming lock
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: for the playoffs. I do not think that you too.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: I don't think you're a lock for the Super Bowl.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I agree, but you're you're a making my point. But
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: to go back to what I said earlier, you now
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: have a bus driver and Bill can. We We've seen
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: that Bill can build the bus. It's it's the driver
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: that's one of one that you can't just pick from
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: a tree. You gotta go out and find that guy.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: So I think that people would just have a lot
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: of faith in the fact that if you give a
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: former MVP of the league who's still in the prime
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: of his career age wise, to Bill Belichick, that they're
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: going to be a real tough out for whoever they play.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: And I tend who knows who he'd bring along. Well,
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: that's one of the things like if I'm any team,
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: but if I'm Robert Kraft and I'm gonna just back
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: up the truck for Lamar, I sit him down and say, Lamar,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: great to have you on the team. We're gonna get
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: all this money, but I'm gonna need you to do
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: some marketing stuff. Well, you know what, offensive guys, has
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: he gotten to sign with the Ravens. That's a fair question.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about you're now
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: the face of our team. Oh, you're talking about market market,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: I'm talking about what Alex is talking about. Lamar's Okay,
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: let's recruit to Baltimore or let's recruit to Boston with
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Bill Belichick Again, I'm with Fred. I think John Harbor
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: is definitely great head coach. Definitely. Maybe he's not Bill,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: but he's I think is with Baltimore is that they
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: have a program in terms of team building that's very
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: similar to here, and they're very They're a hard line team,
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: just like the Patriots are. Where this is our this
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: is our math equation, and we're not backing, you know,
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: we're not moving away from it. So it's possible that
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson could say to DeAndre Hopkins, Hey, why you
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: come play with me in Baltimore? But yeah, you can
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: get that. Are the Ravens gonna pay him twenty million
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: dollars DeAndre Hopkins twenty million dollars a year? They're not
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: one of those organizations that tends to do that. Which
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: is why I think we're in the mess that we're
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: in with Lamar to begin with, is because they don't
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: want to say something to add to this whole thing.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: You know all the excitement. I think it's I think
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: you're a lock for the playoffs if you had Lamar Jackson.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: I don't think you're a lock for the super Bowl. No,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: the division is just yeah. I still don't think you
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: even win in the division with Lamar Jackson. Could It
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: could be tough, but you know, maybe you can pick
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: off a game from the Bills with Lamar jass. So
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: I think you're a lock for the playoffs. Yeah, absolutely,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: Jack and Annaba. The reason why Bill Belichick doesn't want
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: to pay a Prima Donna wide receiver twenty million is
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: because the Prima Donna wide receiver is often the type
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: of guy who doesn't block on running plays. If you're
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: paying him twenty million, then you're stuck paying him even
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: though he doesn't block on running plays. I can imagine
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: a few things Belichick would hate more than having to
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: play a guy who doesn't do his job when he
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: doesn't get the ball. So this is, to me, is
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: the biggest This is the biggest restoration I have a
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Bill over anything else that he does. Is that I
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: agree with the emailer. I think he thinks like that,
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: and unfortunately, in today's football, like this to me is
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: not about anything besides evolving. This is not We're not
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: coaching the eighties giants anymore, all right, We got to
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: evolve with the times and recognize that guys like Stefon
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Diggs and Tyree Hill contribute as much to winning as
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: their quarterbacks do in some respects. So yeah, maybe he won't.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: You know, DeAndre Hopkins is gonna throw a Julian Edelman
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: esque block in the open field for one of his guys.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: But the only reason why one of his guys is
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: probably catching and running with the football in space is
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: because DeAndre Hopkins is on the field. Right. If you
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: want to say that that's one of the reasons why
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Bill doesn't believe in that, I won't necessarily disagree. But
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: you have to also say though he's wrong, Like what
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: do you think of travel as Kelsey is a blocker?
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: Good's terrible? No, he's pretty good. Travis Kelsey yere, He's
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: never thrown a block in his career. He's better now
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: than he used to be. Like, Bill wouldn't really have
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: much interest in that, Okay, great, don't have any interest
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: in the guys that you know difference makers in winning titles.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: Rich in New York City writes in I trust Meek Mill,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: one of my favorite rappers, over guys like Scott Zolak
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: and Chris Simms. Same. Yeah, I mean that's crazy. That's
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: just a different conversation. That's crazy. Yeh. Likest Mill who
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: has no journalistic background, no like sources that he has
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to worry about. He can make anything up at will.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: He's not bound to anything, and you trust him more than.
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: I'm not saying he did. I'm just saying, like I
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: find it hard to put back. I trust a guy's
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: friend over a guy who's like Adam Schefter, whos in
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: the business like that's ay, Adam Schefter. Well, Zoe's not
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: making stuff up. Chris Simms, he did not make last
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: year A lot of us last week were you in
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: or was that the March Madness day? He didn't lie,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: he said he was. He was going off of his
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: gut instinct. He wasn't trying to break news, right, That's
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: what he said. So what kind of journalistic integrity is
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: gut instinct? It was no journalism right, Try to talk right.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: So it's the same to me, you know, I know
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: it's not. I just think that it's I think Meek
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: Mills keeping it really, I think it is our job.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: I think you have an affinity for Meek Mill that
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I don't really understand. Dreams And I was in prison
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: like two years ago. Meek Mills album that he came
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: out with my freshman year of college got me into
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: the best shape of my life. So yeah, I'll be
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: I'll be friends, like a separate conversation. That's irrelevant to
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: the that's irrelevant. Any Meek Mill has been very overrated
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: as an artist. I'm sorry. I do not listen to
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Evans point of view on rap. So okay, Mill just
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: my favorite genre music, but mine too. Anyways, I this
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: is not not doesn't need to be done on That's
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: what you're wrong. I just air it out. We have
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: plenty of time air it out. Okay, so White, which
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: Kanye is my favorite, but now you're not allowed to
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: say that anymore as a Jew. It hurts. I would
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: say my favorite rapper is probably Kendrick, but I just
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: the Meek Mill. Thing he dreams of nightmares is like
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: a good hype up song that I don't know if
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you've gone into the weeds on his other arm. I'm really,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: I'm really he is not one of the better rappers
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: of my generation of rappers. I'm not putting him in
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: any of those categories with Kanye, with jay Z, with Kendrick,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: with Andre three thousand, with any of those guys like
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: where we're talking about at least a notch or two
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: below all all this respect in the world for his uh,
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: his celebrity friendships with with the owner of the Patriots
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: aside Rubin, right, yeah, with Philadelphia Fred right, Yeah, Mike Ruben,
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Rick Rubin, No, no, Michael Rubin. I thought
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: you're talking about the musician. Yeah. I just uh, I'm
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: not a Meek Mill guy. I'm just not So who
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: else do you? Kendrick Lamar is my favorite rapper. Kanye
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: will really like up there. He went to the Garden
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: last year. Um, I love Freddie Gibbs. I don't know.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: I don't know that one. I'll get you guys a
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: definitive list later. I'll put it on Twitter. You're like
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: Alex if you are looking for like a workout playlist,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: then then make Mill might be on your workout and
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: talk to the athletes though. Took athletes about who they're
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: listening to. They love Meek Yeah, because he's he's one
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: of their guys. Yeah, but see, the athletes to me
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: are like my kid, like, I don't care what he's
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: listening to. I don't. It's so much younger than me. Like,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: every once in a while, Will and TJ put something on,
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: I'll be like, Oh, who's that? I like that, but
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: it's so infrequent. Yeah, it is so disrespectful stuff. I
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: don't believe that they I can't believe that My wife
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: hasn't like destroyed both of them for some of the
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: stuff they listen to. It's so disrespectful my mom. The
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: new age rap stuff gets I can't do. Yeah, my
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: mom used to be very she used to be very
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: angry about some of the music that would come out
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: of my I'm not it. Stuff doesn't offend me. There's
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: stuff that offends me. I'll never forget my mom's face
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: the day I had a burned seed of the Carter
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: three by Lil Wayne, and Wayne's a good one. She
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: got over it though, Ye Kevin and Dublin, there's a
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: bad Hill gang, good good rap. There's a bad coming
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: from the Patriots. At the NFL owners meeting, Graft continues
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: speak openly about the Patriots shortcomings last season, and at
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: this stage of the offseason, I would have expected him
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: to have moved on to look ahead to twenty twenty three,
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: but by continuing to look back at the failures, he
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: seems to be openly acknowledging that Bill Seed is getting toasty. Meanwhile,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: Bill seemed even more uncomfortable than usual in his press conference,
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: and I believe his comment about the past twenty five
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: years was foolish and arrogant. These two do not seem
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: to be singing off the same hymn sheet, even after
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: the coaching changes, and I feel that the Wickersham awkwardness
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: has crept back into play. Can we assume this season
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: is a playoffs or pink slip season? I'm getting there. Yeah,
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: I think it could be. I really, I'm leaning that way. Yeah,
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: I mean, this is it's pretty apparent to everybody. I
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: thought mister Craft's quote of when he was asked about
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: Shola's record and he said, I love build a break
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: Shola's record, but we're about winning. We're about winning. Isn't
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: that record about winning? But I think he means I know,
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: you know what he means, and like, wait, he needs
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: eighteen I think, yeah, if he breaks it this year,
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: that'd be pretty good season, pretty pretty good, Yeah, pretty good.
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: There's a chance, not surprisingly, Fred, And now you're going
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: to attack this from different there's a chance that it
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: goes three years before you break that, Yeah, like two
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: and a half. Like you only won eight games last year, right,
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: so what if you win eight or fewer it again
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: this year? Right? So, now you're into your third season.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: You know there's a chance that it's gonna take I
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: mean more than likely if he stays and everything, he
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: does it in twenty four, at some point in twenty four,
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: but there's a chance it's not until twenty five. Can
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: you stick around? Can can you keep him around? If
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: you're Robert Kraft? And if you don't break it this
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: year and you don't break it next year, you didn't
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: make the playoffs in either one of those years. More
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: than likely unless you really bought him out in one
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: of those years. And I don't think that's going to happen.
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: At some point, you just need a philosophical change of
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: how you approach the whole thing. It's not just about
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: in game coaching or game planning, because I still think
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: Bill is at the top of the top and that's
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: when things when I said to Todd, and of course
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: everything you say, he like, he'll use against you in
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: a court of law. When I said to Todd that
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: I don't think Bill has lost anything off his fastball,
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. Yeah, I still think that
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: he can put together a game plan and adjust on
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: the fly accordingly during the course of a game and
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: not make a ton of mistakes. I'm not telling you
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: he's flawless, like with his clock management, his time out
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: use and things like that, but I think he's still
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: the best at that. I think the other stuff, I
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: think it's rightly come into questions. Yeah, I think the
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: draft looms large. I think draft they've got to hit
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: his personnel usage. Yeah, you know, some of the decisions
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: of all the comments made yesterday, maybe the one that
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: is the most important is when Robert says, I've never
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: not given him what he needs. That's putting it all
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: on him. That's putting it all on Bill. You got
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: anything you need, including money, So whoever you want, go
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: get him. And if you want, if you really want
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: to delve into this, like this whole sort of dueling
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: agendas that we saw yesterday, and I think Alex and
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: Evan both talked about this isn't the first time. We
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: think you mentioned last year and just think about like
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: in Vegas when you guys were out in Vegas and
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: Bill's talking about the taj Mahal that they're practicing in. Right,
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: what do you think that was a reference to? Right, Like,
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: I wish we want better facilities here. I wish we
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: had that. Yep, Yep. It seems like it's the like
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: I remember my kid would come home when he was looking, Oh, yeah,
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: you know, Billy's house is so great in my life,
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: would get so mad we have a nice house too,
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: you know, like she ever tell much you go live
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: with Billy? Yeah, And I know he didn't. I know
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: he didn't mean it that way, but like she would
- 1:42:40Speaker 1: take it, you know that way, like, don't you know,
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: be happy with what you got? Yeah, I feel like it.
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: With Bill, it's just so many of like the CEO
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: decisions that he's made, from the roster, from the coaching staff,
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: like those are the things that just seemed to have gone.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: The way that he manages the game, the way that
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: he game plans, the way that he coaches up individual players,
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: I think is as good as ever, it just seems
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: like that philosophy is it might it might be outdated
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: at this point. It might just that's my concern is
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: that he's still trying to put the team together the
- 1:43:15Speaker 1: same way he always has, with the same kinds of players. Yeah,
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: that he always has, and I don't think her works anymore.
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: Joel's and Hull. What's up Joel? Everyone? Hey, um Paul
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: you might remember this in front. I know you might
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: remember this. Remember when um Phil Pastels left it was
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: because of the groceries. Is this turning into that type
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: of a situation, because it sounds like it's from a
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: fans perspective, slowly, Well, it definitely there could be a fracture,
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: but not the same because in that one, Parcels is
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: saying that he couldn't get who he wanted, and in
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: this one Robert saying he didn't get every anything anybody
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: he wants. I don't tell him who to get, So
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: it's it is a little different in the in the
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think the endgame might be the same,
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: but how they're getting there. I agree with Fred Joel
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: and I think that that Robert is going out of
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: his way. In my opinion, to make sure it's not
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: perceived that way. You know, I the last guy said
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: that I didn't let him do what he wanted to do. Yeah,
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: the last great coach I had complained that I meddled
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: too much. I think he's trying to tell you to
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: the contrary, I give him everything he needs. Yeah, whatever
- 1:44:22Speaker 1: he's asked for, I've given him. Because you know, back then,
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: you know, it was famously you know, I think it
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: was Parcel's wanted Cedric Jones and the draft and you
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: know they took Terry Glenn, Tony Brackens, Tony Brackens, and um,
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: you know, so Kraft said, you know, I don't as
- 1:44:40Speaker 1: good a play. I don't know if Kraft actually said
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: it or was said, you know, through a conduit, but
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: you know, we spend millions on our scouting department. We're
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: going to listen to them when it comes time for
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: the draft, you know, And so Kraft kind of pushed
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: it off onto you know, this is what scouting was
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: telling me to do, not what I wanted to do.
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: But it's the same, you know, the same thing. Do
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: you find um that how many years have you felt
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: that we've gone all in? Beside two thousand and seven
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: and two thousand and twenty one, twenty twenty one. I
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: think I've always had a lot of I think there's
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: been other I think the year that they brought in Revis,
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: oh three, I would say was an all in year
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: with like Roosevelt Colvin. That was a big See. People
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: look at the money now and it's comical, it is, right, like,
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: do you remember, oh, seven was all in? Do you
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: know what they paid Wes Welker five years seventeen millions? Right? Well,
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: and I was up in arms. Well even what even
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: the year they they they brought in Bolden, uh and
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: not Bolden, Yeah, oh the Raven, the linebacker Thomas. That
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: was seven. That was an all in year. I think
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: Joel to me, Joel's got it. Seven is the most
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: obvious all It was like, uh, you know you had
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: um Why can't I think of his name now? Dante
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: Star Star Wars was the number one guy on the market.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: And then you know, you end up doing the trade
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: for Welker. Then you have Moss fall in your lap
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: and that that wasn't really all in but that no, no, no,
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: but I'm on a bargain. They got Moss on a bargain. Right.
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: But when you're all in is when you've already made
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: moves to get wide receivers and then someone no, no, no,
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: we'll take him too, right, that's being all in. Oh yeah.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: So in other words, instead of well we lost to
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: Kobe Myers, so we'll get J. J. Smith. He might
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: be a little bit better. Yeah, why not both as
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: you like to say, right, you know, that's being all
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: in game, right, Yeah, being all in is saying we're
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: gonna resign Myers and get a guy who we think
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: is better than Myers. That's what it just it baffles
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: me that it's is all the same guy. So the
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: guy in oh seven, the one for one swashed that
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: recognized that Randy Moss and Wes Welker and Dante Stalworth
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: would help the team and they almost had the greatest
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: season in the history of this I still think it
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: is the greatest season, even though they didn't win the
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: Super Bowl. That that's maybe another topic for another day.
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: And then even the guy the trade for Brandon Cooks,
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: who traded a first round pick for Brandon Cooks for
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: one year of service, Right, that was at all in year?
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: I would say, oh three oh seven, I would say fourteen,
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: you mentioned, you know, I think you can make an
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: argument for twenty one. I think that that was a
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: little different because they were they had to like infuse
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: the roster with some talent. In twenty one, I just
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: feel like it's it baffles me that that's the same guy,
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: but then that same guy won't do it now, you know,
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: like where's the Brandon Cooks trade now? Because this is
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: they needed more now than they needed it Moses. In seventeen,
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: they still like Gronk. They saw at Edelman like he
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: was a cherry on top. In seventeen, Shoddy is in Houston.
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: What's up, Shoddy? Hey the guy? How's it going good?
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: I hope y' all doing well. I wanted to ask
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: a question regarding Lamar and the consensus about him around
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: the league, so I know you're more in touch with
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: you know what people around the NFL or thing, and
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: I wanted to see why, you know, he isn't getting
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: paid or other teams and other owners. GM's coaches are
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: not really that high on him because when I look
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: at him, I think he's like a unicorn in terms
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: of NFL you know, quarterback talent. He can run excellent,
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: pastor he can elevate a team. And then we see,
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: you know, these teams that are paying I think quarterbacks
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: that can grow on trees really like Mac Derek Carr,
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: Desmond Ritter. All these quarterbacks are getting you know, backed
- 1:48:37Speaker 1: and uh, you know, given support by these teams that
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: I think needs better quarterback play. So I kind of
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: want to see why teams are not going in to
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: try and win with Lamore. Yeah. Well, the easy answer
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: is he's not truly free. It's a tricky to find
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: to find a situation where all of the stars aligned
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: for Lamar. The trade capital, the obviously, just the financial
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: commitment to Lamar Jackson, the need for a quarterback. All.
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: It's not that many teams, Like I know, it sounds
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: like it should be every team in the league, but
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: when you really start to whittle it down. But if
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: he was truly just an unrestricted free agent, I think
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: one of those dozen or so teams that you can
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: make an argument for, and Shoddy rattled off a couple
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: of them that should be interested in Lamar Jackson, I
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: think they would have signed him. Yeah, but it's not
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: only signing him, it's signing him to a deal that
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: Baltimore is not going to match and being willing to
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: cough up whatever it takes, if it's a trade or
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: if it's not a trade, it's two for us, round pack.
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: And like you've said, Paul, once you make that commitment
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: that you're going after him, you've totally disrupted your course
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: if you're Atlanta, and if you don't get him, now
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: you're stuck with the guy who right he knows you
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: didn't really want me, you wanted him. And the funny
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: thing is is that we don't even know if the
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: Patriots are actually flirting with Lamar Jackson, but we still
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: have that problem right now. We have the problem. We've
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: created the problem him for ourselves without even because Meek
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: said so, right now, we don't even know if they're
- 1:50:05Speaker 1: going after the guy, but we've still I agree with Shotty.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: I agree with you whenever I know Evan does too.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: Like I think guy I think is a special talent.
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: I just think it's it's a special circumstance. He's not
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: truly free. And I think that the whole guaranteed thing
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: is a big part of it, Like he wants that
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: with the Shawn Watson got and I think the owners
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: are hell bent on not continuing that, and at this
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: point he needs to get it just to prove his point,
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: because if he doesn't get it, why don't you think
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: it makes more sense for him to just sign something
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: with Baltimore for a shorter term like three years, one
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million, and let's see, assuming that the
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: market is as dry on him as it appears that
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: it is, I think the smartest thing for him is
- 1:50:49Speaker 1: to probably play on the franchise tag next year. Now
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: with his playing style, I can understand being wary of
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: that because there's not the financial commitments not there, but
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: then they would have to tag him again next year.
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: Run out of gas for talk, She's like she leaning
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: on her she was all wound up with a meek
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: mill talk earlier in the show Away. I'm just she
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: had a jumping step about lear Jackson. He's been sentence
- 1:51:16Speaker 1: I would play on the tag if I was him. No,
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: I think that makes that because at the end of
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: the day, he's just made the same gamble he made
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: last The franchise tag for quarterbacks is not as bad
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: a thing as it's made out to be by the players.
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: I understand why most players don't like it, but like
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: it's I think you can really parlay it to a lot,
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: like right cousins did. It's a risk because you're leaving
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: probably one hundred million dollars guaranteed on the table that
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: you might get. But at the same time, I thirty
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: two million dollars. It's literally thirty two million dollars in
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: your pocket immediately. So it's guaranteed money. That that that's
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: that's not chump change either. So all right, let's give
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: it away another Patriots Unfiltered T shirt. First correct answer
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: to web radio at patriots dot com the T shirt
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: and the question is which brand of washing machine does
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: Fred claim is the best? Best? Which brand of washing
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: machine does Fred claim is the best? Correct? First correct
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: answer to web radio at pictures dot com wins a
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: T shirt. So Matt is monitoring the mailbox and so
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: as soon as we get the right answer, he'll he'll
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: interrupt me. Uh. In the meantime, let's go to back
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: to the ACE ticket outline. Kyle's in Charleston, South Carolina.
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: What's up, Kyle? Hey, how you guys doing a winner?
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Who's the winner? Hold on? Kyle, Andrew Andrew in La.
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: Congratulations and the answer is, of course, Speed Queen, Speed Queen.
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: That's right. Good to know. Evan's like what everyone and
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: Alex's like no me and Fred talks about this. I'm
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: all in with him. You like Speed Queen too for
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: all your industrial washing needs. Is there anything the right way?
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: They don't make as much stuff the right way anymore? Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: just don't get a Samsung. Look at you. Look at
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: the drum and your watching machine. Is it steel? Probably not,
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: it's probably Plastic's right, yeah, Speed Queen. Steele pause like
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: I never do laundry. I don't care, sorry about that, Kyle.
- 1:53:20Speaker 1: Pardon Kyle. I do more laundry than anyone in my house.
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: Good for Beth, she makes all the money, she makes
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: all the money lay there, um Lamar. He is a
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: great quarterback. I'm not going to take that away from him.
- 1:53:39Speaker 1: The only reason I wouldn't want to see him with
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: New England is play style and the Patriots were more
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: of a pocket passing lars, more of a mobile get
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: on the run. And last year we saw the injuries
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: kind of plague him a little bit. And honestly, I'm
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: kind of comfortable with either Matt Jones stepping up he
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: killed in college, he led Alabama to an undefeated season
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: in winning the Chip, and Zappi when he had to
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: come in, Zappi just he was lighting up files. The
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: things Zappi and Jones aren't way better than we're giving
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: them credit for. Okay, I don't necessarily disagree with with
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: the last piece of that call. I think the one
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: thing that you have to look at with Lamar is
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: I'm not concerned about it schematically. I'm not concerned about
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: his playing style. I'm not concerned about any of those things.
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: But you do have to start targeting some different players
- 1:54:38Speaker 1: to fit the system with the running game that you're
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: gonna have to use with him. So they don't really
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: have a great blocking tight end, right Kasicki and Hunter
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: Henry are not great blockers at that position. They don't
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: have a Patrick Riccard who's kind of a Swiss Army
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: knife fullback. Bring him back, Jacob Johnson. They need to
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: need to start. If that is the case, and they
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: if they trade their first round pick for Lamar, then
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: in the second round Darnell Washington from Georgia. It should
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: be a Patriot, right, Like you need to start going
- 1:55:10Speaker 1: out and getting guys to build that system around him
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: so that it resembles what Baltimore. I think that that's
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: the one thing that you'd have to do is personnel wise,
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: you would have to start really pivoting to bringing in
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: guys that can build a system that Lamar would drive in.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: Thanks Kyle, Although do you think that the urgency to
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: do that when he was a rookie is not as
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: bad as it is now? Like we really have to
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: like craft our offense so that he can play in
- 1:55:41Speaker 1: it as of now where he's learned things now where
- 1:55:44Speaker 1: maybe he's a little bit more flexible, like you know,
- 1:55:47Speaker 1: you don't, yeah, but I do think you want to
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: take advantage of his oh no doubt his ability to
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: run those Zoe reads. Yeah right, oh yeah, absolutely, And
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: I think to Evan's point, I think you probably want
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: a better point of attack blocker ye on the end,
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: bring you bring back Yako. Plus he speaks Germany. But
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: you can't take it, can't just take the other teams
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: of players team. He's on another team. So and by
- 1:56:10Speaker 1: the way, he led the way for Josh Jacobs having
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: the best year of his career last year. I don't
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: think Josh mcteams is just gonna say, you know what,
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: Bill you got Lamar, Now, why don't you take him, Josh,
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: I think you do. Look at h what Billio ran
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: with the Shawn Watson and Houston, which was a little
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: bit more patriot like than what Baltimore runs with Lamar currently,
- 1:56:30Speaker 1: and I do think that Lamar could run that system
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: with its own dressing on it, because it's a different player.
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: But I think he could survive in the pocket and
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: play in the pocket. Though similarly to the way that
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: certainly towards the end of Watson, O'Brien and Houston, that
- 1:56:47Speaker 1: three tight end, yeah right, and they weren't stars. It
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: was like Jordan Atkins and yeah, those guys, but he's
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: a blocker. And then I'm saying that's the only difference
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: is that I think personnel wise, you'd have to start
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: committing to some of these players. And I think an
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: interesting question for Lamar because Baltimore has gone both ways
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: with the receivers that they've gotten for him. They've gotten,
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: you know, fast separators like a Hollywood Brown, and then
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: they've also gotten bigger guys too, So I think you
- 1:57:14Speaker 1: have to get with him and be and have a
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: conversation of who do. What's the type of receiver that
- 1:57:19Speaker 1: you like throwing to the most. Like we know Mark
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: Andrews is a big part of their offense, so maybe
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: it's a tight end, but that those are the types
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: of decisions that you would have to start making immediately
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: once you get him to really get the best out
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: of them. All right, Um, tomorrow Patriots Playbook two to four,
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: John Rooke, Right, So I just want to might have
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: some special guests. Yeah, I just want to mind everybody

- 1:57:55Speaker 1: just I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't assist on there. Yes,
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: our Nas currency or Nipsey hustle in your at least
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: top five. I'm trying to get a feel for what
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: type of REPS fan you are. NAS definitely not currency
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: or Nipsey. No, okay, no, Nipsey would wills? All right?
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: What about half a dollar? Yeah? I won the Candy
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: Shop CD out of one of the special places in
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: my heart because that's that's right in my prime of
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: growing up fifty, but not not in that he's more
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: in the in the meek milk category. Okay, all righty fetty,
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: I don't know like like fetty wapp I like I
- 1:58:36Speaker 1: do like all right? Track Queens Catch twenty two will
