New Hanover County is launching a bold two-year pilot to fight food insecurity and transportation barriers by delivering groceries and prescriptions right to your door—free of charge for eligible residents in eight designated food deserts. Backed by $1.2 million from The Endowment and powered by Instacart, the program offers a full year of Instacart+ membership (no delivery fees on orders over $10) plus $120 annually to buy healthy foods.
