- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bongina Report Early Edition. My
- 0:03Speaker 1: dad is confirmed as Secretary of Transportation. The White House
- 0:08Speaker 1: press briefing room opens up to new media. Tom Homan
- 0:12Speaker 1: eviscerates Joy Reid. RFK Jr. 's family smears him again.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Google Maps replaces Gulf of Mexico with Gulf of America.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Trump calls for the abolition of the federal income tax.
- 0:26Speaker 1: And New York Magazine criticizes young MAGA supporters for being
- 0:31Speaker 1: hot and cool, I guess. All this on the Bongino Report,
- 0:34Speaker 1: early edition. Today we are live from the Rumble studio,
- 0:50Speaker 1: as you can see if you're watching on Rumble, because
- 0:53Speaker 1: yesterday I went to, with my family, to the Supreme
- 0:57Speaker 1: Court where Justice Clarence Thomas swore my dad in as
- 1:02Speaker 1: the Department of Transportation Secretary. The Senate voted to confirm
- 1:06Speaker 1: my dad. It was 77 to 22. We thought it
- 1:10Speaker 1: was gonna be a unanimous vote, but Trump announced a
- 1:13Speaker 1: temporary halt on all federal financial assistance programs, including grants
- 1:19Speaker 1: and loans, effective at 5 p.m. yesterday, which is amazing.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It's awesome. It also meant that all hell broke loose
- 1:26Speaker 1: in Washington. And a lot of Democrat senators were furious. Actually,
- 1:31Speaker 1: they all were furious. And many of them who were
- 1:34Speaker 1: going to vote to confirm my dad didn't in protest
- 1:37Speaker 1: of Trump's federal funding Now, my dad, of course, made
- 1:40Speaker 1: it through pretty safely. He had 77 votes, so it
- 1:43Speaker 1: was a bipartisan vote. All the Republicans, many Democrats. But
- 1:47Speaker 1: we still have to get RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Kash
- 1:50Speaker 1: Patel over the finish line. And this really could tighten
- 1:54Speaker 1: up the already tight numbers on these more controversial picks.
- 1:58Speaker 1: So keep praying, you guys, because it's going to be
- 2:02Speaker 1: a tough run for many of Trump's really important nominees.
- 2:07Speaker 1: All right, so back to yesterday. Usually the president or
- 2:10Speaker 1: the vice president swears in these secretaries. Neither were available yesterday.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So my dad got to select a Supreme Court justice
- 2:19Speaker 1: and he requested Justice Clarence Thomas. Was that a good choice?
- 2:23Speaker 1: I think that was a really good choice. And let
- 2:26Speaker 1: me just tell you guys that Clarence Thomas was the
- 2:29Speaker 1: kindest man. He was so generous with his time. He
- 2:32Speaker 1: talked to each of the kids. All of my siblings
- 2:35Speaker 1: were there except for two of them, my sister who's
- 2:37Speaker 1: in college and my brother who lives in California with
- 2:40Speaker 1: his wife and his baby. So he took us to,
- 2:44Speaker 1: Justice Clarence took us to his office before we met him.
- 2:48Speaker 1: My mom actually told all the kids, make sure you say,
- 2:51Speaker 1: nice to meet you, Justice Thomas. And my little brother, Patrick,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you can see him in that photo. If you want
- 2:55Speaker 1: to pull that back up, Mikey, he's in the front.
- 2:58Speaker 1: He's got a little suit on and he's eight. And
- 3:01Speaker 1: you could tell that he was rehearsing this line that
- 3:05Speaker 1: he delivered and he delivered it perfectly to Justice Clarence.
- 3:08Speaker 1: When he shook his hand, he said, nice to meet you,
- 3:10Speaker 1: Justice Thomas. And it was very cute. By the way,
- 3:13Speaker 1: my parents forgot a Bible at their home in New Jersey.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So they went all over DC looking for one. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: was supposed to pick one up at the airport and
- 3:21Speaker 1: then I forgot. So then they were scrambling, going all
- 3:25Speaker 1: over the city looking for a Bible to buy. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: they went to multiple bookstores and there'd be just rows
- 3:32Speaker 1: and rows of books on Buddhism and Islam and Hinduism
- 3:36Speaker 1: and then no Bible. DC really is a pagan town.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And Justice Thomas touched on this when he met with
- 3:43Speaker 1: us yesterday. My mom, I think, rightfully said it was
- 3:46Speaker 1: fate that Trump and J.D.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Weren't available.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And it would have been great to have either the
- 3:50Speaker 1: president or the vice president there. But Justice Clarence Thomas
- 3:54Speaker 1: really had some wise, essential, powerful words for all of us.
- 3:58Speaker 1: He talked a little bit about DC, what this town
- 4:02Speaker 1: is really like. And I won't go into too many details,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but you guys can guess what he said. And then
- 4:07Speaker 1: he instructed my dad to go to mass daily, or
- 4:11Speaker 1: at least to stop by the church and pray this
- 4:14Speaker 1: one prayer. The prayer is, Lord, give me the wisdom
- 4:17Speaker 1: to know what is right and the courage to do it.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Justice Thomas is a really wise, a very Christian man.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I think he's one of the very few sincerely moral
- 4:27Speaker 1: and good men in Washington. He's someone who has been smeared,
- 4:31Speaker 1: lied about profusely by the legacy media and And yet
- 4:35Speaker 1: he clearly remains guided by his conscience, by that prayer.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I'll also add that he was really upbeat and warm.
- 4:42Speaker 1: He was not somber and depressing. This was a very
- 4:45Speaker 1: joyful person. My little sister's nickname is Mud, and he
- 4:50Speaker 1: loved that, and he was so interested in her and
- 4:52Speaker 1: her nickname and how she got her nickname. Justice Thomas clearly, again,
- 4:57Speaker 1: lives by the prayer, and his advice applies really to
- 5:00Speaker 1: all of us. Pray now. that you have the wisdom
- 5:04Speaker 1: to know what is right and the courage to do it.
- 5:06Speaker 1: We also yesterday visited the Department of Transportation for the
- 5:10Speaker 1: first time. None of us, including my dad, who's now
- 5:13Speaker 1: the secretary, had ever been inside the building. And it's
- 5:16Speaker 1: this massive building. And he saw his new office for
- 5:19Speaker 1: the first time. And it was kind of crazy because
- 5:21Speaker 1: just a couple days ago, I was watching some old
- 5:25Speaker 1: family videos with Michael that my dad had recently digitized, right?
- 5:29Speaker 1: He had all these tapes and he had them put
- 5:31Speaker 1: on a flash drive And one of these tapes included
- 5:36Speaker 1: him at his first real job. It was when my
- 5:38Speaker 1: parents first got married. I was like less than a
- 5:41Speaker 1: year old. And my dad was an apprentice or his dad,
- 5:45Speaker 1: my grandfather, at his small town law office in Hayward, Wisconsin.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And my dad was given this like really tiny metal
- 5:54Speaker 1: desk that kind of looked like a schoolboy's desk. And
- 5:58Speaker 1: then my mom was like, we're not having that. It's
- 6:02Speaker 1: not going to happen. She wanted him to feel confident,
- 6:04Speaker 1: to take pride in his work. So she bought him
- 6:06Speaker 1: this big, nice desk and this tiny little, little office
- 6:10Speaker 1: that he had at his dad's law firm.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And.
- 6:13Speaker 1: But as they probably couldn't afford, my mom said, but
- 6:15Speaker 1: she did it anyways. And now to see the contrast
- 6:18Speaker 1: between that video and then walking into his new office
- 6:21Speaker 1: as secretary of transportation, it was really wonderful. And I
- 6:24Speaker 1: don't think kids often say that they're proud of their parents.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It kind of feels kind of backwards to say. But
- 6:30Speaker 1: seeing how far they've come to this moment, I truly
- 6:35Speaker 1: am proud of them. My dad was the second youngest
- 6:38Speaker 1: of 11 from a tiny town in the Northwoods. No
- 6:41Speaker 1: special connections, just a lot of grit and a lot
- 6:44Speaker 1: of encouragement from my mom, who always had a lot
- 6:47Speaker 1: of confidence in him. She always believed in him. By
- 6:50Speaker 1: the way, before I move on, I want to play
- 6:52Speaker 1: this video of Valentina addressing the justices in the Supreme Court.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Take a look. Okay, go ahead. Very cute. She's always
- 7:10Speaker 1: so cute. All right, let's get to these headlines. The
- 7:14Speaker 1: Trump White House has opened up the press briefing room
- 7:16Speaker 1: to new media, meaning podcasters, bloggers, social media influencers. And
- 7:21Speaker 1: this was a great move, a no-brainer from Trump. Traditional
- 7:25Speaker 1: media is not only dishonest, it's irrelevant. No one watches
- 7:30Speaker 1: cable TV or reads the newspaper, the New York Times,
- 7:32Speaker 1: Wall Street Journal. They just don't. Now, the corporate media
- 7:36Speaker 1: was still there. They just had to share the room
- 7:39Speaker 1: with others who actually are influential in public discourse. And
- 7:44Speaker 1: they did indeed ask some brain-dead questions, the corporate media,
- 7:47Speaker 1: some gotcha questions. But White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt
- 7:51Speaker 1: shut them down immediately. Take a listen.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Of the 3,500 arrests ICE has made so far since
- 7:59Speaker 3: President Trump came back into office, can you just tell
- 8:01Speaker 3: us the numbers? How many have a criminal record versus
- 8:04Speaker 3: those who are just in the country illegally?
- 8:06Speaker 4: All of them because they illegally broke our nation's laws
- 8:09Speaker 4: and therefore they are criminals as far as this administration goes.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I know the last administration didn't see it that way.
- 8:13Speaker 4: So it's a big culture shift in our nation to
- 8:15Speaker 4: view someone who breaks our immigration laws as a criminal.
- 8:18Speaker 4: But that's exactly what they are. If they broke our
- 8:23Speaker 4: nation's laws, yes, they are criminal.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Yes.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Thank you. She's so good. And she's so young, too.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I think she's like 26, 27. Exactly right response. They
- 8:35Speaker 1: broke the law. They did something illegal. So we call
- 8:38Speaker 1: them illegals. It's a brilliant response. Really well put. Caroline
- 8:42Speaker 1: also revealed that the government will no longer be funding
- 8:45Speaker 1: Catholic charities, which is supposed to be a Catholic organization
- 8:49Speaker 1: that aids in really the open border crisis by shuttling
- 8:52Speaker 1: illegals all across the country. They are a terrible organization.
- 8:56Speaker 1: They're partly why I don't like giving money in the
- 8:59Speaker 1: communion basket. I like to give directly to certain causes,
- 9:02Speaker 1: to a parish who I know isn't going to give
- 9:03Speaker 1: to Catholic. I don't know. We just don't know. These
- 9:06Speaker 1: organizations say they're Catholic. They're run by the U.S. Catholic
- 9:09Speaker 1: Conference of Bishops, and they do terrible, evil things. So,
- 9:14Speaker 1: by the way, this question I'm going to play for
- 9:15Speaker 1: you guys, it was asked by Daily Caller reporter Reagan Reese,
- 9:21Speaker 1: or Reese Reagan, I forget her name, but nice girl,
- 9:25Speaker 1: does good reporting. And again, she's from the Daily Caller.
- 9:28Speaker 1: New media is finally being included, which is so important.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Reagan, since you're in the back row, I hear the
- 9:35Speaker 4: back row hasn't gotten much attention in the last four years.
- 9:38Speaker 4: So I'm happy to answer your question. Does the president
- 9:42Speaker 4: intend to permanently cut off funding to NGOs that are
- 9:45Speaker 4: bringing illegal foreign nationals to the country, such as Catholic charities?
- 9:49Speaker 4: I am actually quite certain that the president signed an
- 9:52Speaker 4: executive order that did just that, and I can point
- 9:54Speaker 4: you to that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Awesome. Amazing. Thank you. Finally, somebody's doing what right in
- 10:00Speaker 1: this country. Catholic Charities, again, left-wing NGO, hides behind the
- 10:04Speaker 1: name of Catholic, and it's actively aiding and encouraging the
- 10:06Speaker 1: mass violation of U.S. immigration laws. Absolutely, 100%, they should
- 10:10Speaker 1: be defunded, and finally, Trump is taking some action and
- 10:12Speaker 1: doing it, unlike every other president that we've had before.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Speaking of the border, Tom Holman... had the most perfect response, again,
- 10:20Speaker 1: to old guard media Joy Reid, who was attacking him
- 10:23Speaker 1: and Kristi Noem for videoing the arrest of illegal rapist murderers, traffickers.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I don't know why this is controversial to the left,
- 10:31Speaker 1: but apparently it is. Here is Tom Homan shutting her down.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Take a listen.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Who's confirmed as a Department of Homeland Security.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And it says she's cosplaying.
- 10:41Speaker 2: It's almost a game where she seems to be cosplaying.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I'm not sure what she thinks that she's portraying here.
- 10:47Speaker 1: She might as well be at Comic-Con.
- 10:49Speaker 5: James and Joyce say you're reckless and you're just role-playing
- 10:53Speaker 5: for fun.
- 10:55Speaker 1: She's dumber than a box of rocks. It's awesome. I'm
- 11:00Speaker 1: loving these interviews. I'm loving that Trump is allowing his
- 11:03Speaker 1: team to be transparent, to correct the record in real time.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's hilarious. It's badass. It's exactly what I voted for.
- 11:11Speaker 1: The propaganda press is trying to smear Trump and his
- 11:14Speaker 1: mandate as cruel or as silly. And Trump's team has
- 11:17Speaker 1: responded to the media by treating them like the idiots
- 11:20Speaker 1: that they are. Finally, not toe-tipping around these people who
- 11:25Speaker 1: are total hacks and liars. Joy Reid can scream and
- 11:29Speaker 1: cry all she wants, but a segment screaming about racism
- 11:33Speaker 1: or belittling ISIS efforts means nothing anymore. It's utterly lost
- 11:38Speaker 1: its power, their power, over this admin, over the minds
- 11:42Speaker 1: of the public. And we don't have time for their
- 11:44Speaker 1: shenanigans because things are serious. American Southern border is essentially
- 11:49Speaker 1: a multi-front war against drug cartels and illegal immigration. The
- 11:53Speaker 1: satanic cartels wield terror to control violence. illegal border crossings,
- 11:58Speaker 1: which is why Trump has rightfully designated them terrorist organizations.
- 12:02Speaker 1: It's why Pete Hexeth has pledged full military support to
- 12:06Speaker 1: secure the border. Trump is treating this crisis like a war,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and it's about time that a president did. Remember how
- 12:14Speaker 1: I said there's a massive assault against all the high-profile
- 12:18Speaker 1: Trump nominees? We talked to Callie Means yesterday about RFK Jr.
- 12:22Speaker 1: 's confirmation. The vote is apparently... or the decision is
- 12:27Speaker 1: apparently going to happen today. Now, we expect roadblocks from
- 12:31Speaker 1: rhinos and left-wing dark money groups and traitors like Mike Pence.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But how about your own family? Yes, RFK Jr. 's
- 12:40Speaker 1: own family is attacking him again. His cousin, Ambassador Caroline Kennedy,
- 12:46Speaker 1: sent a critical letter to the U.S. Senate. And in
- 12:48Speaker 1: this letter, Caroline labeled RFK Jr. a predator with dangerous
- 12:53Speaker 1: anti-vaccine views and questionable ethics. She also released this video
- 12:58Speaker 1: to the public.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I've known Bobby my whole life. We grew up together.
- 13:04Speaker 2: It's no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as
- 13:07Speaker 2: pets because Bobby himself is a predator. He's always been charismatic,
- 13:14Speaker 2: able to attract others through the strength of his personality,
- 13:18Speaker 2: his willingness to take risks and break the rules. I
- 13:22Speaker 2: watched his younger brothers and cousins follow him down the
- 13:25Speaker 2: path of drug addiction. His basement, his garage, his dorm
- 13:29Speaker 2: room were always the center of the action, where drugs
- 13:32Speaker 2: were available and he enjoyed showing off how he put
- 13:35Speaker 2: baby chickens and mice in a blender to feed to
- 13:38Speaker 2: his hawks. It was often a perverse scene of despair
- 13:42Speaker 2: and violence. That was a long time ago and people
- 13:46Speaker 2: can change. Through his own strength and the many second
- 13:50Speaker 2: chances he was given by people who felt sorry for
- 13:53Speaker 2: the boy who lost his father, Bobby was able to
- 13:56Speaker 2: pull himself out of illness and disease. I admire the
- 14:00Speaker 2: discipline that took and the continuing commitment it requires. But
- 14:05Speaker 2: siblings and cousins who Bobby encouraged down the path of
- 14:09Speaker 2: substance abuse suffered addiction, illness, and death, while Bobby has
- 14:15Speaker 2: gone on to misrepresent, lie, and cheat his way through life. Today,
- 14:22Speaker 2: while he may encourage a younger generation to attend AA meetings.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Bobby is addicted to attention and power.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It's just awful. It's just disgusting. And then she goes
- 14:35Speaker 1: on to talk about vaccines and how RFK Jr., he's
- 14:38Speaker 1: a conspiracy theorist. It was really quite nasty. I just
- 14:41Speaker 1: want to correct the record. I think I said that
- 14:43Speaker 1: his vote is today. No, his hearing is today. So
- 14:46Speaker 1: they're going to question him. It's going to be really gross.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I mean, it's probably going to be almost as dramatic
- 14:52Speaker 1: as Pete Hegg says, just get ready for some real
- 14:56Speaker 1: nasty back and forth from these senators. But I think
- 15:03Speaker 1: this is going to be very damaging when you have
- 15:05Speaker 1: your own family coming out against you, skewing, I mean,
- 15:11Speaker 1: just the pressure campaign to get rid of this man
- 15:13Speaker 1: is so intense. And what makes it so gross is
- 15:18Speaker 1: the fact that it's family. There are mixed political views
- 15:21Speaker 1: in my family. I've talked about it. Like my grandparents,
- 15:25Speaker 1: my grandmother is now deceased, but my grandfather is still alive.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And the two of them, Bernie bros, like just full-on socialists.
- 15:32Speaker 1: They're just crazy. CNN's on all the time. MSNBC. Some
- 15:36Speaker 1: of my dad's siblings, pretty liberal in mind. And none
- 15:42Speaker 1: of us attack each other publicly over politics because that'd
- 15:44Speaker 1: be weird and disordered and wrong. We're family. Caroline Kennedy
- 15:51Speaker 1: is posturing for her liberal friends, putting political contacts over
- 15:56Speaker 1: her own flesh and blood, and it's transparently nasty. No
- 16:00Speaker 1: one normal thinks that what Caroline Kennedy just did is
- 16:03Speaker 1: inspiring or cool. No one. What is cool, I'll say,
- 16:09Speaker 1: is Google's announcement that it will be changing the name
- 16:12Speaker 1: of the Gulf of Mexico on all their maps to
- 16:15Speaker 1: the Gulf of America after President Trump issued his Restoring
- 16:19Speaker 1: the Names Act. that honor American greatness executive order. Google
- 16:23Speaker 1: also said that it will be using the new name
- 16:25Speaker 1: Mount McKinley instead of Denali. Mount McKinley, of course, was
- 16:28Speaker 1: the original name of this mountain. Obama decided to change
- 16:31Speaker 1: it to some indigenous name, which was very silly. Google
- 16:34Speaker 1: wrote on X, we've received a few questions about naming
- 16:37Speaker 1: within Google Maps. We have a longstanding practice of applying
- 16:40Speaker 1: name changes when they have been updated to official government sources.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And just to remind you guys that while Google Maps
- 16:46Speaker 1: is doing this, they're abiding by the Trump executive order,
- 16:50Speaker 1: going with the new name, the UK has refused to
- 16:54Speaker 1: update in response to this name change. So there are
- 16:58Speaker 1: many indications that the UK is not an ally of America.
- 17:01Speaker 1: This to me is one of them. It's just a
- 17:02Speaker 1: brazen middle finger to President Trump. I think it's really
- 17:05Speaker 1: gross considering the amount of times we bailed them out,
- 17:07Speaker 1: saved them from financial ruin, fought wars for them, been
- 17:10Speaker 1: allies to them, and all they do is interfere in
- 17:11Speaker 1: our elections. Apparently- give middle fingers internationally to our president
- 17:18Speaker 1: via just a simple name change. So screw the UK.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Another enemy of America is Crooked Hillary, who laughed at
- 17:25Speaker 1: the idea of the Gulf of America during Trump's inaugural address.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 17:31Speaker 3: A short time from now, we are going to be
- 17:33Speaker 3: changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico.
- 17:36Speaker 5: To the Gulf of America, and we will restore the.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Name of the Gulf of.
- 17:43Speaker 1: America. It's kind of crazy that she laughs like that. Like,
- 17:47Speaker 1: I mean, she thinks that, what, she's still relevant in
- 17:51Speaker 1: this country? Like, it's almost kind of pitiful that she
- 17:54Speaker 1: would turn her nose up at Trump. Like, oh, look
- 17:57Speaker 1: at him. He's so silly. He wants to change the
- 17:59Speaker 1: name to the Gulf of America. But, like, meanwhile, she's
- 18:03Speaker 1: lost the election, completely irrelevant in this country, tried to,
- 18:07Speaker 1: you know, help stage the Russia collusion hoax. Didn't work out.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Trump came back. He won again. Like, it's kind of
- 18:14Speaker 1: almost sad. The way that she just sits there and
- 18:17Speaker 1: laughs at this man who's beaten her round after round.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And again, I think a lot of these guys in
- 18:24Speaker 1: that room, they think Trump's joking, that he's absurd, that
- 18:27Speaker 1: he's just a crazy man who probably isn't going to
- 18:30Speaker 1: do those things. Then he goes ahead and he does it.
- 18:32Speaker 1: He renames the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Look at what happened with Colombia. F around and find out.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I mean, if this had been laid out normally by
- 18:43Speaker 1: the State Department... would have been weeks in the making,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and all this back and forth, all these considerations about
- 18:51Speaker 1: how to deal with the president of Colombia. And President
- 18:54Speaker 1: Trump just sends off this crazy tweet. He says, we're
- 18:58Speaker 1: going to tariff you. We're going to destroy your economy
- 19:01Speaker 1: if you don't let your citizens, who are illegals in
- 19:05Speaker 1: this country, land in Colombia. And he just acquiesces. He's like, OK, fine.
- 19:10Speaker 1: This is Trump foreign policy. This is what happens. And
- 19:15Speaker 1: I don't know. These guys just haven't gotten the memo.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Still have that cough. But it's getting better. The cough
- 19:30Speaker 1: is getting better. Now, the last week has been intense.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Trump 2.0 feels better than his first term already. He's
- 19:42Speaker 1: in the driver's seat. He's not learning the ropes anymore.
- 19:45Speaker 1: He got it down. He's carrying out his agenda.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 19:53Speaker 1: And Trump is an ambitious guy. This week, he called
- 19:57Speaker 1: for the abolition of the federal income tax, advocating for
- 20:00Speaker 1: a tariff-based economic system similar to what Trump describes as
- 20:05Speaker 1: America's most prosperous period. That would be from 1870 to 1913.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And Trump believes that.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Sorry. He believes that a tariff-backed system would enrich American
- 20:23Speaker 1: citizens by taxing foreign nationals instead. People on social media
- 20:28Speaker 1: have responded pretty hilariously to this. Somebody on X said,
- 20:32Speaker 1: this is what my bathroom will look like once income
- 20:35Speaker 1: tax is abolished. And you see just this gorgeous... art
- 20:39Speaker 1: deco emerald bathroom with this copper showerhead. It's just beautiful.
- 20:44Speaker 1: And then obviously it's probably AI created. It's kind of
- 20:48Speaker 1: a joke. This person says, this is what my bedroom
- 20:52Speaker 1: will look like once the income tax is abolished. And
- 20:55Speaker 1: it's an image of Rivendell, the elf palace in Lord
- 20:58Speaker 1: of the Rings. Basically people are saying they're going to
- 21:01Speaker 1: have a lot of extra cash. And if this happens,
- 21:04Speaker 1: they're right. Now the 16th amendment, is what grants Congress
- 21:09Speaker 1: the authority to issue an income tax. And repealing a
- 21:11Speaker 1: constitutional amendment is not easy. And if Trump pulls this off,
- 21:15Speaker 1: it would be incredible. He'd have to strongly urge Congress
- 21:19Speaker 1: to introduce a joint resolution to repeal the existing amendment,
- 21:24Speaker 1: to make it a priority. But if he succeeds, if
- 21:26Speaker 1: he gets this done, it'd be huge. And I think, frankly,
- 21:29Speaker 1: Michael and I were talking about this, I think it's
- 21:31Speaker 1: outrageous that the American people accepted the idea of a
- 21:36Speaker 1: federal income tax in the first place. But that's what
- 21:39Speaker 1: this admin is doing. Trump is just turning the tables.
- 21:41Speaker 1: He's rewriting the playbook. Status quo is out the window.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And that's why Trump is not only attracting a lot
- 21:47Speaker 1: of energy, but he's attracting a lot of young energy.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And this is really scary, really scary to the left,
- 21:55Speaker 1: which is why New York Magazine decided to write this
- 21:58Speaker 1: article titled The Cruel Kids Table. Among the young, confident,
- 22:04Speaker 1: and casually cruel Trumpers who, after conquering Washington and have
- 22:09Speaker 1: their sights set on America. That is the subheading here.
- 22:13Speaker 1: And this whole article is really long. It's a smear, essentially,
- 22:18Speaker 1: on hot, young, politically incorrect Trump supporters who were partying
- 22:22Speaker 1: at the inauguration, who the author in the article is
- 22:26Speaker 1: fear-mongering over, and then, of course, dubs cruel and racist.
- 22:29Speaker 1: And the crazy part, this event was hosted by C.J. Pearson,
- 22:33Speaker 1: who is a black man. And the article doesn't mention
- 22:36Speaker 1: that at all. And not only... does it not mention
- 22:39Speaker 1: CJ Pearson, the black people in the room appear to
- 22:43Speaker 1: have been intentionally cropped out of this photo. Let me
- 22:47Speaker 1: show that picture, Michael. You can see there's like three
- 22:50Speaker 1: black people and they're just out of the picture. You can't,
- 22:53Speaker 1: in the full New York Times view, you can't see them.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I wonder like, is that on purpose? Like, why would
- 22:58Speaker 1: you guys, and it kind of means if you're trying
- 22:59Speaker 1: to make this argument that all of young MAGA people
- 23:02Speaker 1: are racist, but then you have the cover photo with
- 23:04Speaker 1: a bunch of black people, kind of undermines your point,
- 23:07Speaker 1: doesn't it? and that the event was hosted by a
- 23:09Speaker 1: black man. Now, throughout this article, the author quotes a
- 23:12Speaker 1: lot of MAGA young people. And I'm going to read
- 23:15Speaker 1: a couple excerpts for you guys as sort of what
- 23:18Speaker 1: the New York Magazine's evidence is for why all these
- 23:21Speaker 1: people are cruel and racist and evil. So it says, quote,
- 23:26Speaker 1: recounting her time at one of the balls, a woman
- 23:29Speaker 1: tells me, She jumped the velvet rope into a VIP section, quote,
- 23:34Speaker 1: like a little Mexican, and then she lets out a cackle.
- 23:37Speaker 1: And this was a very deeply disturbing comment that the
- 23:40Speaker 1: reporter heard from this unnamed woman. He also, the reporter says,
- 23:45Speaker 1: a former Bernie supporter told me he wanted the freedom
- 23:48Speaker 1: to say faggot and retarded. This was also horrifying to
- 23:52Speaker 1: the reporter. And here are a couple more quotes that
- 23:54Speaker 1: really upset this woman. quote, I think pronouns are retarded.
- 23:59Speaker 1: And then tomorrow we're going to have images of them
- 24:01Speaker 1: rounding up illegals and deporting them. That's exciting. So again,
- 24:06Speaker 1: the argument is that these young people, they're evil and
- 24:09Speaker 1: cruel because they are not politically correct. They don't abide
- 24:12Speaker 1: by the liberal elite's speech codes. But let's just get
- 24:16Speaker 1: to what this is really about. What is it really about? Beautiful, cool,
- 24:20Speaker 1: and successful young people flocking to MAGA and threatening the
- 24:23Speaker 1: left's relevancy. In New York Magazine, desperately wanted to get
- 24:28Speaker 1: ahead of this issue by smearing them. And it has
- 24:32Speaker 1: incredibly backfired. First of all, people can't stop talking about
- 24:36Speaker 1: how beautiful one woman is on the front cover. Let's
- 24:39Speaker 1: throw that out there, Mikey, if we can. And she
- 24:42Speaker 1: is beautiful, right? Her face is iconic, like a Hollywood starlet.
- 24:47Speaker 1: The entire photo, this woman, everybody in the picture, it's aspirational.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It's a type of group that you want to be
- 24:54Speaker 1: a part of. The entire article reads like someone jealous
- 24:57Speaker 1: they aren't in the club, and they should be. There's
- 25:00Speaker 1: nothing fun and aspirational about leptism. It's depressing and it's ugly.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Ugly is important, right? I talk about this all the time.
- 25:06Speaker 1: For some reason, that ideology produces ugly buildings, ugly spaces. It,
- 25:14Speaker 1: for whatever reason, influences people to make themselves ugly on
- 25:18Speaker 1: purpose almost. Conservatism is now a driving culture. Matt Walsh
- 25:24Speaker 1: writes that a picture of young, successful, happy people in
- 25:28Speaker 1: a trendy cocktail party reads as right wing. A picture
- 25:31Speaker 1: of a dad in flannel drinking beer at Texas Roadhouse
- 25:35Speaker 1: also reads as right wing. Right wing is both cool,
- 25:38Speaker 1: hip and metropolitan and down to earth, older, mature and
- 25:42Speaker 1: working class. This is how you know that conservatism is
- 25:46Speaker 1: culturally ascendant. The only pictures that read as left-wing are
- 25:52Speaker 1: those of ugly, fat, mentally ill, dysfunctional, friendless weirdos. I
- 25:58Speaker 1: think he's really right. Conservatives are driving culture, whether institutions
- 26:03Speaker 1: like it or not. A couple days ago, Selena Gomez
- 26:06Speaker 1: decided to post a video of herself sobbing over Trump
- 26:10Speaker 1: deporting illegal criminals. What happened afterward is really important, but first,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I want you to listen to her video.
- 26:17Speaker 4: I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry.
- 26:20Speaker 2: All my people are getting attacked.
- 26:26Speaker 5: The children.
- 26:27Speaker 4: I don't understand.
- 26:34Speaker 5: I'm so sorry.
- 26:36Speaker 4: I wish I could do something, but I can't.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I don't know what to do.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I'll try everything I've got. Okay, so Ben Shapiro actually said,
- 26:51Speaker 1: it's pretty funny, that this was her best performance. Selena Gomez,
- 26:54Speaker 1: she's very cute. She's very pretty. She's not that great
- 26:57Speaker 1: of an actress. She's not that great of a singer.
- 27:00Speaker 1: This truly was one of her best performances I've ever seen. Truly.
- 27:03Speaker 1: As somebody who grew up in the Disney Channel era,
- 27:07Speaker 1: Selena Gomez was everywhere. This is the best I've seen
- 27:10Speaker 1: from her. And first of all, what does she mean
- 27:13Speaker 1: by my people? Trump is deporting illegal rapists, murderers, thieves,
- 27:19Speaker 1: and traffickers. Are those her people? Maybe murderers and rapists.
- 27:24Speaker 1: That's the entertainment industry that she's a part of. Maybe.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I don't know. But, I mean, this woman, she's born
- 27:30Speaker 1: in Texas. Her Mexican father wasn't in the picture. She
- 27:33Speaker 1: can't even speak Spanish well. She also lives in a
- 27:36Speaker 1: $ 5 million mansion in Los Angeles with private security. I
- 27:41Speaker 1: know that there were no tears for Lake and Riley. None.
- 27:44Speaker 1: For any of the young women who have been raped
- 27:46Speaker 1: and murdered by illegals. So Selena rightfully came off as
- 27:50Speaker 1: privileged and out of touch and an idiot. And she
- 27:55Speaker 1: was mercilessly mocked on social media, not just by right-wing influencers,
- 27:59Speaker 1: but everyone. Here is one TikTok user and warning that
- 28:03Speaker 1: it's a little explicit, but I think it demonstrates the
- 28:05Speaker 1: point pretty well.
- 28:06Speaker 6: Somebody got to beat Selena Gomez ass.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I don't know who, somebody.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Bitch net worth is over a billy, over a billion.
- 28:14Speaker 6: and you're boohoo crying on people's phone screens about deportation
- 28:18Speaker 6: and what can you do? I wish I could do something. Oh,
- 28:21Speaker 6: I got something you could do. Bitch, it's time to
- 28:22Speaker 6: sell that discography. Start paying for some citizenships.
- 28:25Speaker 3: The fuck?
- 28:25Speaker 1: Alex Russo, get it the fuck together. Okay. I mean,
- 28:30Speaker 1: she's right. What could I do? I don't know what
- 28:32Speaker 1: to do. It's like, Selena, like, I don't know. How
- 28:36Speaker 1: about house them in your mansion? Pay for all their
- 28:40Speaker 1: legal fees. Like, she's not willing to do any of that, right?
- 28:43Speaker 1: This is just posturing. It's just political. And the point
- 28:47Speaker 1: still stands that who is driving culture now? Certainly not
- 28:51Speaker 1: the entertainment industry. Selena's also starring in a movie, musical,
- 28:55Speaker 1: that's been nominated for countless Oscars about a transgender drug
- 28:59Speaker 1: cartel leader. And the public hates it. We hate it.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Selena's irrelevant, and so is the industry that she's a
- 29:07Speaker 1: part of. They're out of sync. Here's Andrew Schultz. I
- 29:13Speaker 1: don't know anybody. I don't know one man above 5'9
- 29:19Speaker 1: that says they're a Democrat. There's only one? Honestly, males
- 29:29Speaker 1: under 5'9 that identify as a Democrat. They're like, I
- 29:33Speaker 1: am a Democrat. I'm a hundred percent.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm registered as an independent and I'm five, six, five,
- 29:38Speaker 1: seven on a good day.
- 29:39Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It's for, it's a, it's a shorter guy thing.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I don't know what it is.
- 29:44Speaker 1: They just need protection.
- 29:45Speaker 5: They need society.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a shorter guy thing.
- 29:48Speaker 4: Have you met one dude six, four with a job
- 29:50Speaker 4: who's just like, I'm a Democrat.
- 29:52Speaker 1: No. I would argue it's a gayer guy thing.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Conservatism is not just politically relevant. It's becoming culturally dominant.
- 30:05Speaker 1: That's what Andrew Schultz just demonstrated in that video. The
- 30:09Speaker 1: old institutions from mainstream media to Hollywood are out of
- 30:13Speaker 1: touch and they're losing influence. Meanwhile, the right is setting
- 30:16Speaker 1: the tone. Whether our institutions like it or not, for decades,
- 30:21Speaker 1: progressives controlled the narrative, deciding what was cool, what was
- 30:25Speaker 1: acceptable to say, and who got to be in the spotlight.
- 30:29Speaker 1: But that monopoly is crumbling. Social media has decentralized influence,
- 30:34Speaker 1: allowing an unfiltered, unpolished, and undeniably compelling new right-wing counterculture
- 30:40Speaker 1: to emerge. The polished elites of Hollywood and legacy media,
- 30:44Speaker 1: they can't keep up. The left used to be the
- 30:46Speaker 1: side of rebellion, but now it's conservatives who are the
- 30:49Speaker 1: ones breaking taboos and rejecting groupthink and living without fear
- 30:53Speaker 1: of cancellation. They are the new counterculture, and people are
- 30:57Speaker 1: gravitating toward it. That's why New York Magazine is panicking.
- 31:01Speaker 1: They see young people flocking to MAGA, not because they're
- 31:05Speaker 1: brainwashed or cruel, but because the left has become stale, bitter,
- 31:09Speaker 1: and authoritarian, and ugly. The media wants to ridicule and
- 31:13Speaker 1: isolate us, but instead, it only reinforced our growing influence.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Celebrities like Selena Gomez try to rally outrage only to
- 31:21Speaker 1: be met with mockery and irrelevance. The left institutions are
- 31:25Speaker 1: no longer the tastemakers of our day. the relics of
- 31:30Speaker 1: an era that's slipping away. Meanwhile, conservatives are defining what's stylish, bold,
- 31:35Speaker 1: and aspirational, which makes me think that the culture war
- 31:38Speaker 1: isn't just shifting. Perhaps it's already been won. And that's
- 31:43Speaker 1: all I have for you guys today. Thank you so
- 31:45Speaker 1: much for tuning in here at the Rumble Studio. My
- 31:48Speaker 1: cough's getting a little better. Hopefully there'll be no interruptions tomorrow.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I'll see you all then. The Dan Boncino Show.
- 31:55Speaker 5: I think a lot of people are underestimating the Trump
- 31:57Speaker 5: effect in this midterm. You've heard it yourself. Act like
- 32:00Speaker 5: I'm on the ballot. Why is he saying that? You
- 32:03Speaker 5: think he doesn't know what he's doing? That is the
- 32:06Speaker 5: X factor. Folks, elections are a math issue.
- 32:10Speaker 2: That is it.
- 32:11Speaker 5: This is not a football game. If you vote, we
- 32:14Speaker 5: will win. It is not complicated.
