  Speaker 1: said the time may change the quality of the show,

  Speaker 1: though that's a different story. Honestly, you know what this

  Speaker 1: show felt like tonight. This felt more like a ninety

  Speaker 1: minute show that they stretched out to two hours. And

  Speaker 1: I'm sure part of the reason for that, anyway, is
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: because they taped Raw on Monday and then immediately taped
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: SmackDown because they were giving everybody off of the Fourth
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: of July holiday this weekend, so this was a tape show.

  Speaker 1: They did two shows in one night, so I'm sure
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: they piped in some crowd noise. We got some crowds sweetening,
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: especially during that page. That page Bribella and Lany reidmatch,
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: And so we ended up with the show that we
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: ended up with here tonight's. It was not a very
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: good show, as his part for the chorus would SmackDown
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: not a good show, but it was instantly better than
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: every other three hour episode because there was one hour
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: less of it dyes see, and we get to enjoy
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: it now for the next six months. That's great. We
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: do have a new number one contender for the WWE Championship.

  Speaker 1: It was Cody Rhodes and Jay Usso in the main
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: event of tonight's show, and the winner would go on
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: to Monday Night. We're on next week in Chicago to
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: challenge Sammy Zain for the WWE title. So Sammy's ain
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: got to come out tonight here on this show. He
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: got to revel in being champion for the first time
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: in his career. It may be the only time that
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: Sammy z Ain walks out on SmackDown as the WWE champion,

  Speaker 1: because it sure feels like he ain't gonna have that

  Speaker 1: championship after Monday. So I sure hope Sammy has the

  Speaker 1: chance to enjoy it, however brief it may be, because

  Speaker 1: it sounds like it's coming to an end on Monday.

  Speaker 1: We had Cody, like I said in Jay in the

  Speaker 1: main event tonight, and I'm watching this match, and you know,

  Speaker 1: they're doing what they do, They're going through the motions

  Speaker 1: and they're hitting all their usual spots, and I'm like

  Speaker 1: this doesn't feel like a major Number one contenders match,

  Speaker 1: and then I laugh at the people who actually and

  Speaker 1: there were some people I'm sure out there who thought

  Speaker 1: there was at least a possibility the WWE might do

  Speaker 1: Cody and Jay at SummerSlam because Jay was gonna win

  Speaker 1: King of the Ring, Brock was gonna screw Oh, but

  Speaker 1: we were gonna end up with King J And I'm like,

  Speaker 1: this isn't even a SmackDown main event, And there were
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: actually people who convinced themselves the WWE was going to
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: go with that as a night one stadium show main event.

  Speaker 1: Are you out of your fucking mind? It was barely

  Speaker 1: a main event here on this show, and it was

  Speaker 1: the only outcome that you knew we were going to

  Speaker 1: get because they were going to run back Cody and

  Speaker 1: Sammy as soon as possible. Chicago is obviously a very

  Speaker 1: interesting place to do it. And so as we go

  Speaker 1: along here, we'll talk a little bit more about that. Honestly,

  Speaker 1: the highlight of this show was and I feel like
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: this is the second or third time now that I'm

  Speaker 1: saying this, but the highlight of the show was Ray

  Speaker 1: Phoenix defending his triple A cruiserweight Championship. We've seen him
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: defend it now against Axiom against Nathan Fraser. Tonight it

  Speaker 1: was against VIKINGO, and they didn't get a lot of time.

  Speaker 1: They got about eight minutes. We got to see half
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: of it because there was a commercial in the middle.

  Speaker 1: But what we got from that was very good because
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: they're trying to push Triple A as hard as possible, so

  Speaker 1: we had two Triple A champions in fact in that match,

  Speaker 1: only for Ray Phoenix's title. I'll have an update on

  Speaker 1: VIKINGO as well here in a little bit, and they
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: have made a United States Championship match for next Friday
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: show will be Trick Williams defending his title against Carmelo Hayes.

  Speaker 1: Now that Trick Williams has vanquished Ricky Saints, who was

  Speaker 1: not on the show tonight, we were moving on to

  Speaker 1: Trick and Mellow, which may well also end up being

  Speaker 1: a Summer Slam match. All Mellow has to do is

  Speaker 1: beat Trick next week because that is a non title match,

  Speaker 1: the championship will not be on the line. So I

  Speaker 1: he was straddling that line here between heel and Babyface.

  Speaker 1: He got a decent amount of cheers, you know, coming

  Speaker 1: out his first night as champion came out. He's thanking

  Speaker 1: the fans from the bottom of his heart. Thank you

  Speaker 1: Wasn't really overwhelmingly positive or negative one way or the other.

  Speaker 1: going to turn out on Monday. But I'm a lot

  Speaker 1: so I'm not going to say, even if Sammy does

  Speaker 1: lose the championship this soon, that he's going to be

  Speaker 1: out of the main event scene and that's it. You know,

  Speaker 1: He's kind of back down to the mid card and

  Speaker 1: that's the end of Sammy challenging for the title. But

  Speaker 1: it probably is. I don't see him following Christian's same
