- 0:06We're recording, Jerry, we're recording.
- 0:10We're coming back with another scripted corner.
- 0:17Seconds before this I had said decrepit corner, yeah, but.
- 0:23We're ballparking. We're ballparking names for
- 0:25these type of episodes. Every couple of episodes we will
- 0:29eventually come back to the supernatural.
- 0:32Yes, we will. So maybe it's the crypted
- 0:35corner, the decrypt, the wait, what did you say?
- 0:39Decrypted corner? And we're going to talk about
- 0:41some spooky things. Because after reading like 1000
- 0:46comments saying we want spooky, we want spooky, we're back, we
- 0:50have to bring it. Back.
- 0:51Yeah, we're going to give you what you want, which is more
- 0:54spooky stuff. No one asked for it.
- 0:55I asked for it, and that's all that matters.
- 0:57That's true because why our podcast?
- 1:00And my voice is louder than yours.
- 1:03I just scream into the mic, no. Not you.
- 1:06I meant the people listening. I can't hear what they're
- 1:08saying. Look, they say something right
- 1:11now. I don't hear them.
- 1:14Did you hear them? No, I didn't hear them.
- 1:16Because I'm louder. Speak louder.
- 1:17Speak up. Speak up.
- 1:20What color are your underwear wrong?
- 1:22Stop. Good morning, good afternoon,
- 1:27good evening, good night. Whatever time it is that we're
- 1:30recording this on Thursday and bringing straight to your ears,
- 1:34we're happy you're here and you're listening.
- 1:35We're. Very happy you're here.
- 1:36Thank you for tuning in. How was your week, Jay it?
- 1:40Was very cool. It was my mom's birthday over
- 1:41the weekend, celebrated at my mom's.
- 1:43Y'all were there obviously it was fun.
- 1:46Got the the seafood, fish tacos and.
- 1:48So you got a lot of food. A lot of food to see and then
- 1:53Sunday, you know, I had to do some stuff, but overall went to
- 1:57the river Ohio. You have your days wrong.
- 2:00Sunday was your mom. 'S Dang, see I don't even.
- 2:02I thought today was Tuesday. We had a long weekend, yeah.
- 2:05Monday we, we had memories memorized.
- 2:08We memorized stuff. We.
- 2:09Memorized stuff. Thank you to everyone that we
- 2:11memorized on Monday. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:14We went to the river, had a really good time.
- 2:16It was so. Fun that water was so.
- 2:18I would love to go again soon. I'm down and I'm down to go
- 2:24earlier. I think just because it was
- 2:25Memorial Day, it was the reason why there was a lot of people.
- 2:28Yeah. But if we go like on a random
- 2:29day where we do get that section, that was like pretty
- 2:32deep. Yeah.
- 2:32I think that would be fun too. We did go pretty early.
- 2:35You had me waking up at like 7:30 on my day off just to hang
- 2:39out with you. Say I don't care, it was worth
- 2:42it. Try to tell me I don't care.
- 2:43It was worth it. It was we've been meaning to do
- 2:45that. We we keep saying river, let's
- 2:46go to the river, let's go to the river.
- 2:48We never do and we did it. That's.
- 2:49Really funny because it was just an offhand comment after we
- 2:52recorded last episode. Like river, like what are we
- 2:56going to do? We should do something.
- 2:57And Jerry said the river, which is so funny.
- 3:00And I mentioned it to my Co worker Alexa, that yeah, we're
- 3:04going to go to the river. But I don't know why.
- 3:05I'd just be telling everyone your business of how you're
- 3:08scared of water. Just.
- 3:11And she was like, tell Jerry that he can drown in just two
- 3:14inches of water. Trust me, I almost did.
- 3:16I almost did. It was when you guys went to go
- 3:18read on the books. Oh, I was like, oh, my bookmark
- 3:22fell and as soon as I went out to like reach for it, bam, I'm
- 3:25into the water, almost died and none of you guys came to.
- 3:27Why? Ask you why did we think it'd be
- 3:28fine to leave you unattended? I didn't even realize you guys
- 3:32should know me by now, but I survived.
- 3:34Y'all, I'm here again. Yeah.
- 3:38Did not drown this time. No, if anything, like he came
- 3:41back wiser, he learned some things.
- 3:43I learned not to get close to the water.
- 3:44Yeah, once and for. All and we learned how to build
- 3:47a dam. We did build a dam.
- 3:49We built a dam which made the water level rise, which is why I
- 3:52almost died in three inches of. Water.
- 3:54I I know it was a word. We set ourselves up.
- 3:56We set you up. Yeah, and then you guys just
- 3:58left left me to my demise. We.
- 4:00Had to go read our books in the sun.
- 4:01We're in our book era after last week's episode.
- 4:05It was really nice, you guys went on rocks to read and I just
- 4:08stayed in the chair lounge and all to myself.
- 4:11What are you reading these days? The Lord of the Rings, The
- 4:14Fellowship of the Ring. It was really nice.
- 4:17I put on some jazz. It's really, really quiet.
- 4:19Also enjoying the nature sounds of birds.
- 4:22But the book was good. It's getting good, It's getting
- 4:24good. Honestly, there's one thing Mr.
- 4:26Jerry knows how to do is just set the mood.
- 4:29Thank you. We we left, we were playing like
- 4:32just random music, like some pop, some Spanish music.
- 4:35And then when we come back from our little excursion of reading
- 4:39on some rocks, Jerry's there with some jazz music playing,
- 4:43just tapping his little foot, reading his book.
- 4:45You like jazz? It was fun.
- 4:46We had some sandwiches, we had some chips.
- 4:50And cookies. And some cookies, some
- 4:52caprisons. We had some rocks stuck in our
- 4:56shoes. We did.
- 4:57At least that was me. I wanted my Crocs.
- 4:59Rocks stuck in other places. Oh no, not me.
- 5:03I knew better than to get in the water.
- 5:04Me neither. What?
- 5:09That was so good. Oh, that was ASMR and I heard
- 5:13it. Live.
- 5:15What about you, Brian? Anything else you want to add to
- 5:17the weekend? And when I got breakfast with my
- 5:20mom on Saturday, my brother, he's graduating soon.
- 5:24Congrats. He got a job.
- 5:25He came down here to do some training.
- 5:26So it was nice to see him and my mom.
- 5:28Nice. And then later that day I got I
- 5:30got looped into an adventure I did not expect to have.
- 5:33I wanted to see. I grabbed coffee after with
- 5:36Anthony, Joe and Andrew and Anthony's like, do you want to
- 5:40come help me decorate my office? And I'm like, so less.
- 5:43Those are my favorite words like.
- 5:45You're like a. Give me like a HDTV show.
- 5:49Yeah, like interior design, like.
- 5:51That was about to say that. Like I'm a house flipper.
- 5:53Unofficial. Official interior designer.
- 5:55So I said bet, let's go. And what I didn't know and that
- 5:58they failed to mention was that he was not redecorating his
- 6:02office. He was fully moving, like
- 6:05swapping offices with someone else.
- 6:07So he got you. They put me to work.
- 6:09I was organizing books, moving some furniture.
- 6:12I just spent a couple of a couple of minutes just just
- 6:14watching, try to catch. My breath.
- 6:17You weren't prepared, you know, and that's OK.
- 6:19Was it? But it was honestly, it was
- 6:21really fun and me and Andrew just kind of like.
- 6:24Loopty loopty looped around. Well, Joey Anthony did the hard
- 6:28work, but it was cool. I ended up because he said if
- 6:32you see any, he had like not an exaggeration, like 200 books.
- 6:35And he said if anything you find interesting, like stands out,
- 6:39please, by all means grab it. Read it.
- 6:41So I got a bunch of books on like LGBT stuff, the male body,
- 6:46just a lot of like interesting nonfiction gotcha that I've
- 6:51never really read. Is that the book you were
- 6:53reading up to the river? Yeah.
- 6:55It was about like the the male body through like media in
- 6:58America. It's very interesting.
- 7:00That's cool. But yeah, maybe now I'm going to
- 7:02like read to learn stuff instead of just smut.
- 7:06Heavy on the maybe. Heavy on the maybe.
- 7:08Oh, OK, OK. I was going to say, wow, that's
- 7:09very that was very you were very sure at that statement.
- 7:13I will keep to my fantasy and my hobbits and Wizards and.
- 7:18Well, you have a whole a whole adventure ahead of you, yeah.
- 7:21This is just book one. Yeah, I'm ready.
- 7:23I've been ready. OK, aside from that, honestly
- 7:27didn't really do much. Stayed home Friday, Friday
- 7:31night, Saturday night. That's that's pretty much it
- 7:36honestly, pretty low key weekend.
- 7:37Yeah, it was nice to. Relax, it's really nice.
- 7:39I love weekends like that. What about you, listener?
- 7:42How was your weekend? Yeah, great.
- 7:44Next. Yeah.
- 7:46Next time speak up a little louder.
- 7:47We can't really you. Still can't hear?
- 7:48You need to speak up. So, Jerry, we're back.
- 7:52We're back with another decrepit corner, with a decrepit corner
- 7:57pair of decrepit. Here's how things are going to
- 7:59work. Every couple episodes, not every
- 8:03other episode. We we really want to branch out.
- 8:05We're a variety show. We come at you with a bunch of
- 8:07different things. Yeah.
- 8:07You think we're going right? We're going left.
- 8:09Yes, but sometimes you come across things that you just need
- 8:13to discuss and research and talk about.
- 8:16Yeah. And for me, brought to you by
- 8:19TikTok is the vampires of New Orleans.
- 8:25One TikTok sent me down the spiral.
- 8:27Can't wait to discuss. Can't wait to share with you
- 8:29everything I learned because I did some research.
- 8:33I think you're prepared to share.
- 8:34I can go first. Let's switch it this time, OK?
- 8:38OK, please. Jerry, I'm not ready.
- 8:40I left my iPad out there. I'll get every.
- 8:43I'll be back. Guys, I thought I was ready, but
- 8:46now I'm. I'm stressed.
- 8:48OK? Jerry told me not to misbehave.
- 8:53Guys, you got real quiet. What he doesn't know is that I
- 8:58see his shadow. Oh, my God.
- 9:02Jerry put that away. He he took out.
- 9:06Yeah, some really good dance moves.
- 9:10I'm back. OK, we're back, we're ready, I
- 9:15have my notes. Nice.
- 9:17So as stated previously, my topic for this week was brought
- 9:23to you by TikTok. Stories of first hand
- 9:27experiences with vampires have recently trended on TikTok.
- 9:31This is what sparked my initial curiosity and desire to dive
- 9:34into the history of vampires in New Orleans.
- 9:36In New Orleans. OK, So what sent me down the
- 9:40rabbit hole was this story time video by TikTok creator Fat Girl
- 9:46Freestyle. That is your name.
- 9:47Please. Let's go look her up because
- 9:49she's going to give you her full story.
- 9:52I'm just going to give you a brief summary.
- 9:53The video I think was like 10 minutes long.
- 9:55That's all we got time for. So her name is Kimberly.
- 9:59She starts off the video stating that she wants to share the
- 10:02story about the time she met a vampire.
- 10:06She starts off by saying that she's a rideshare driver in the
- 10:09city of New Orleans. So like Lyft, Uber, pick up
- 10:12people, take them where they need to go.
- 10:14Got to take them where they go. However, she recounts one
- 10:18strange ride a few years back where she picked up a very
- 10:22mysterious woman. She says she cannot recall what
- 10:25she looked like, but she can remember her voice and the
- 10:29conversation. The only visual she can recall
- 10:32is the woman's mouth and the hand she placed on the driver's
- 10:35shoulder. Nope.
- 10:38Nope, she did not know that we keep our hands to ourselves.
- 10:40But first of all, that's the first.
- 10:42Especially your driver. You're just like here.
- 10:45No. Don't.
- 10:46Don't come here. Let me touch you, Jerry.
- 10:47Let me touch. You just my shoulder.
- 10:48Don't touch my Jerry, give me your shoulder.
- 10:50Fucking hell. They have small talk.
- 10:54They have small. They have some small talk and
- 10:56the passenger comments on Kimberly's energy.
- 11:00As stated previously, at one point the passenger touches her
- 11:04shoulder. Kimberly felt frozen with her
- 11:06hands on the wheel and realized that the car was not moving.
- 11:11She then heard the passenger's voice tell her.
- 11:14Don't be scared, I won't harm you.
- 11:18Sure. After raising her hand, the car
- 11:23began to move again. Kimberly turned around and
- 11:27asked. What did you do to me?
- 11:30Passenger responds by saying I just leeched some of your
- 11:35energy. I'm a vampire.
- 11:39I'm ending this ride, get the fuck out of my car.
- 11:42Imagine you're getting picked up and you're gonna go to the
- 11:45downtown area, gonna go have some drinks and like the person
- 11:51in the car is just like. I took some of your energy.
- 11:54I took some of your energy. I'm a vampire.
- 11:58Negative. I was negative, sorry.
- 11:59She she has more patience than than I have because what do you
- 12:02mean? If someone said that to me, I'd
- 12:03be scared. I'd be like, girl, what do you
- 12:06mean? Throwing punches.
- 12:08I'm just I'm putting the car in park.
- 12:10I'm not. I'm leaving in the car in drive
- 12:11and I'm turning around and I'm just swinging.
- 12:12I'm like, give me my energy back.
- 12:15We're opening the door and we're we're, what is it?
- 12:17I'm. Tumbling.
- 12:17Yeah, I'm tumbling, I'm tumbling.
- 12:19We're tussling. We're tussle on it.
- 12:21Whatever Robitussin, anyway. So she says I'm a vampire.
- 12:26The passenger tells Kimberly that she's not the type of
- 12:29vampire that drinks blood, yet those do exist but are very rare
- 12:34these days. She's a vampire that feeds off
- 12:38energy just by touching. She continues telling Kimberly
- 12:42that New Orleans is the perfect place for her and her kind to
- 12:47exist. She's not the only one over here
- 12:50stuck in your vibes. They're a vibe vampire.
- 12:54Dude, think of it. You know how sometimes you're
- 12:56like, you're walking and like someone's walking in your
- 13:00direction, but you're trying to be like, Nah, they're, they're
- 13:02going to move, but then they bump into you?
- 13:04What if that's intentional and they steal some of your, they
- 13:07steal your energy. There was a separate TikTok I
- 13:10saw of this guy in New Orleans was going viral because he was
- 13:15telling everyone around him, oh, I can tell you your future.
- 13:18Just bump me in the elbow. That's so smart.
- 13:22Do you know what that lore is though with elbow bumping?
- 13:24No. If you bump elbows with someone,
- 13:27I guess it means that you swap fates with that person.
- 13:33Whoa. So whatever was planned for your
- 13:35life, once you bump elbows with that person, they swap.
- 13:40That's crazy. So the comments are saying that
- 13:43he was trying to improve his life by trying to bump elbows
- 13:46with someone. Whoa.
- 13:48If it's voodoo, I don't know what kind of like like culture
- 13:52it is that that's a belief, but. That.
- 13:55Well, again came because I would have been deep diving like New
- 13:58Orleans stuff. But it has to be like a direct,
- 14:00like elbow to elbow, like bump. It can't be like a you.
- 14:03I'm bumping my elbow into you, I'm suspecting.
- 14:05How often have you to your mind, have you just like hit elbow to
- 14:09elbow with someone? Never.
- 14:12That's like you have to like try.
- 14:13Yeah, that's very intentional. You have to like turn your arm
- 14:16around and yeah, yeah, that's crazy.
- 14:19I didn't even know that was a thing.
- 14:20So I don't know if that man is just also like trying to suck
- 14:24vibes off of you. Take your good energy.
- 14:27But that's what she said, that her kind exist in New Orleans
- 14:30and it's perfect for them. So stories of vampires in New
- 14:36Orleans date back to the city's early days as a French colony.
- 14:41The area surrounding the city was colonized by France in 1682.
- 14:45Sit down. You're about to get a history
- 14:46lesson, OK? Known natively as Balbancha by
- 14:50its indigenous residents. What did you call me?
- 14:52Just give me Balbancha. The community was built on the
- 14:55rich delta lands between the Mississippi River and Lake
- 14:58Pontchartrain. The city itself was founded by
- 15:02Jean Baptiste Lemoire. I know I had to study how to say
- 15:06that. Wow, I.
- 15:07See the creator of the lemon. No, no.
- 15:11Explain a lemoire. No.
- 15:16It was founded in 1718 and would become the capital of the French
- 15:19colony of Louisiana by 1723. What is important to note is
- 15:25that a majority of the French settlers in Louisiana were
- 15:28outcast. Many of the initial residents
- 15:31were criminals, thousands of which were sent to Louisiana as
- 15:34forced laborers. They were promised freedom
- 15:37should they survive the first few years.
- 15:39This soon proved to be a major problem in regards to expansion.
- 15:43Almost all of the colonists were men.
- 15:48They put a bunch of dudes on a boat and said go figure it out.
- 15:52Crazy. Yeah, it was literally just a
- 15:54sausage party. On a boat.
- 15:57On a boat and on land once it hit Louisiana.
- 16:01Louisiana. The settlers had no game with
- 16:06the native women. I've got a boat full of guys.
- 16:10I wonder why? Any sort of intermingling had
- 16:13been barred by indigenous leaders.
- 16:15The sausage fest finally came to an end under King Louis the 14th
- 16:19and 1719 dubbed the King's Daughters.
- 16:23Women as young as 14 years old were drafted solely on their
- 16:26ability to be married off. Around 800 women were initially
- 16:30sent to Canadian territories. Deemed an outstanding success up
- 16:35north, the governor of Louisiana would request his own shipments
- 16:38of brides to his territory. That's crazy.
- 16:44That's like never, never how they came across that
- 16:47information. Dude, they, they, they invented
- 16:49mail order brides. Just like, yo, I need my
- 16:52shipment, let's go. Yo, we got a couple little man
- 16:54over here. Got some po boys.
- 16:56Is that from Louisiana? Po boys.
- 16:59I have no idea. That's a sandwich, I think.
- 17:01Yeah, I know. Where po boys?
- 17:02No, that's like Massachusetts. Is that Boston?
- 17:06Maybe. OK, someone in the audience, do
- 17:09your research and then tell us. Where's the sandwich from?
- 17:11Not important. Anyway, a group of 258 girls
- 17:15were gathered from the country's prisons, poor houses and
- 17:18orphanages. Deemed as unfit by the settlers,
- 17:21many were refused marriage. In 1928, a new group of girls
- 17:26with more acceptable qualities would be sent to New Orleans.
- 17:30This group, known as the Casket Girls, would eventually lead to
- 17:34the first cases of suspected vampirism in the city.
- 17:37It's a great band name. The casket girls were orphans
- 17:40with respectable backgrounds who had been hand picked for their
- 17:44journey across the ocean. They were sent with all of their
- 17:47belongings in big wooden trunks known in French as cassettes,
- 17:53which would later be anglicized into the word casket casket.
- 17:58They sent these girls on a boat with these big wooden trunks
- 18:02with a bunch of stuff that they would need once they would get
- 18:05married, which was like sewing supplies, materials, stuff that
- 18:10would make you like a good housewife.
- 18:11And they said you're taking that with you.
- 18:13Go find your husband. It's your starter pack.
- 18:15Yeah, it's your starter. Pack that's insane.
- 18:18After months out at sea, the woman who stepped off the boat
- 18:21were pale faced, described as having an otherworldly
- 18:24complexion kept far below deck. They were not known to see
- 18:29daylight the entire trip. Unable to find partners, they
- 18:33ultimately found themselves living with a convoy of nuns at
- 18:36the Ursuline convent. The nuns are explicitly told
- 18:41that the trunks are to remain closed until the women have been
- 18:44married. You got these big, big wooden
- 18:48boxes. You can't open.
- 18:49These that you can't open them. They travel with the girls but
- 18:52don't open them until they're married.
- 18:54Like why are these like human sized?
- 18:57And remember, none of them got married.
- 18:59Nope. Known as one of the oldest
- 19:03structures in New Orleans, the three story convent was
- 19:06completed in 1753. The sisters who inhabited the
- 19:09convent ran an orphanage, Infirmary and a school on the
- 19:13first floor of the building. They themselves lived on the 2nd
- 19:16floor. The third floor attic housed the
- 19:18casket girls with their large caskets sitting at the foot of
- 19:21their beds. Legend states that the arrival
- 19:27of the girls was synchronous with mysterious debts in the
- 19:31city. Around this time, reports of
- 19:34missing people start to spread. Bodies are said to be found
- 19:38completely drained of blood. Fingers began to point at the
- 19:41pale, sickly looking girl's house at the Ursuline convent
- 19:45one night. The nuns eventually tore open
- 19:48the caskets, only to find them completely empty.
- 19:53No trace of the aforementioned belongings.
- 19:55Insight. So it took a couple, you know.
- 20:02A blood, bloodless bodies. Bloodless bodies for the nuns
- 20:05and the people to be like Nope, hey let's do an inspection.
- 20:08These weird looking girls, what's in these boxes?
- 20:11Ones that we stick in the attic and they don't go outside.
- 20:14They never see daylight. That's wild.
- 20:16What if they opened him and it was just like a like a feather
- 20:18pillow and like some nice comforter and it's like.
- 20:22I'd rather that than like hold, hey, there's a bunch of stuff in
- 20:25here and you finally open it and not that.
- 20:27There's nothing. Rumors began to swirl that the
- 20:30girls had smuggled in vampires in their caskets.
- 20:34These girls had brought something evil with them from
- 20:37the Old Country. The nuns, terrified that they
- 20:40had been tricked into housing vampires under their noses,
- 20:43kicked out the casket girls. However, their caskets remained.
- 20:50They told them to get out and leave.
- 20:52Your caskets up your caskets. One night, in an attempt to kill
- 20:58off the vampires, the third floor windows were permanently
- 21:02sealed. Citizens hoped that the vampires
- 21:05would die in the morning light if they were unable to return to
- 21:08their caskets. The windows were shut closed
- 21:11with 800 screws made of silver, allegedly blessed by the Pope
- 21:16himself. It is also alleged that Pope
- 21:19John Paul the Second re blessed the screws during a visit in
- 21:231987. The Vatican is in on this to
- 21:29this day. The third floor windows remained
- 21:32nailed shut. The convent is now a museum and
- 21:35the third floor attic remains off limits.
- 21:40So what I what played in my head was the Pope being sent like
- 21:43this shipment of 800 silver screws.
- 21:46And he's like, like, oh, Pope, go ahead, bless you.
- 21:49He's like, why am I doing it for Louisiana?
- 21:51Oh, right away. Yeah.
- 21:52And then just. You know the vampires.
- 21:54You know, the vampires, Louisiana.
- 21:55Oh yeah, for sure. Got it, of course, of course.
- 21:57Got it. Bam.
- 21:58All in Italian, But yes, of course he's throwing his little
- 22:01holy juice at the nails. Holy juice, Holy juice in the
- 22:06incense. Oh that is wild.
- 22:09But like but what if it? I have so many questions.
- 22:13OK, go. OK, a popular story revolving
- 22:15the convent and its vampires dates back to the 1970s.
- 22:19A ghost hunting couple visited the grounds with the intent of
- 22:22finding evidence of paranormal activity.
- 22:24In 1978, the investigators had taken a tour of the building and
- 22:29decided to hold a stake out that night in an attempt to capture a
- 22:33vampire sighting. They set up cameras, pointed at
- 22:36the third floor windows, and waited.
- 22:39And waited. And waited.
- 22:42Eventually they fell asleep, falling victim to the late night
- 22:45hours. The following morning, their
- 22:49lifeless bodies were found drained of their blood.
- 22:51Oh my, drink a Red Bull, drink a monster or something.
- 22:55Listen, Red Bull gives you wings.
- 22:57You could have just flown up there.
- 22:57That's what I'm saying and. Knocked on the Windows Hello.
- 23:00Let me. In we fell asleep.
- 23:04It also says that they had cameras pointing recording the
- 23:07windows at night time, but that the cameras just slowly just
- 23:10fade to black. Damn so they they suck the
- 23:15energy off of camera juice the the battery?
- 23:17But you know how lore goes. Nothing I read gave me the names
- 23:21of these people, any kind of information.
- 23:23It's just tied as a popular story about the vampire convent.
- 23:28Yeah, the theory of vampires living in New Orleans has
- 23:32survived throughout history. In the 1930's, the Carter
- 23:35brothers are one of the most infamously suspected vampires of
- 23:38the time. According to local lore, John
- 23:41and Wayne Carter were responsible for a string of
- 23:43disappearances in the French Quarter.
- 23:46Once police had raided their apartment, it is alleged that
- 23:49they found four people tied up, completely drained of their
- 23:52blood. They also discovered a makeshift
- 23:55prison where the victims were held captive before being
- 23:57drained. The brothers were then captured
- 24:00and executed. Death however, did not stop the
- 24:04brothers terror. They supposedly escaped their
- 24:06tombs after their burial. Wow, they're peace.
- 24:15Peace. You thought.
- 24:16You got us. You thought, you thought.
- 24:18We played dead. We just left our breath on me.
- 24:21You've heard of opossums? Yeah, we learned it from them.
- 24:24They froze it like that, the the stereotypical vampire pose like
- 24:27nose Ferrari. Yep.
- 24:30And guess what? They're back out.
- 24:31And they're back out. What was the Carter Brothers?
- 24:34The Carter brothers John, John and Wayne, John Wayne, Carter,
- 24:38Carter, John and Wayne. It's two brothers but yes.
- 24:42John Wayne John Wayne the Vampire.
- 24:44John Wayne the Vampire. John and Wayne Carter so.
- 24:50Where does that lead us today? Apparently to lift passengers
- 24:54that suck off your good vibes. Searching up vampires on TikTok
- 24:59leads you down a multitude of rabbit holes.
- 25:01Goth clad individuals who are self-proclaimed blood suckers.
- 25:06Short form history lessons on the casket girls, the immortal
- 25:09Jacques St. Germain, Dracula, or thirst.
- 25:13Edits of Anne Rice's interview with the vampire actors.
- 25:16Nice, that's my personal favorite.
- 25:19I've seen the movie. The movie's great.
- 25:21The movie is a cult classic. Yeah, dude, you need to watch
- 25:23the show. The show is so good I've.
- 25:25Heard nothing but good things of the show and I will watch it.
- 25:28And the actors are beautiful. Laurent with his beautiful
- 25:31blonde hair. You would like.
- 25:32You would like him. I've I've, I've seen like one or
- 25:35two episodes with you. I think we started it.
- 25:36Oh yeah. I.
- 25:37Didn't finish it. We didn't.
- 25:39I've finished it. That's becoming.
- 25:40A repetitive thing, Jimmy. I suck at watching things, but
- 25:44that's a different story. That's for another day.
- 25:46You suck blood. 00 or vibes or vibes.
- 25:51It's like your vibes. With so much content about
- 25:54vampires and popular media, it's easy to get wrapped in the lure
- 25:57of immortal beings that walk the night.
- 25:59In modern times, vampires have been presented to us as sexy,
- 26:02mysterious, synonymous with the fears and wonders of what lies
- 26:06in the shadows of night. Vampire lore is deeply rooted in
- 26:10the fear of the unknown. What could exist in a world
- 26:13where life and death aren't all that they seem?
- 26:15Wow. Yep.
- 26:17That's the story of the casket girls and then emotionally
- 26:20sucking vampires. I do please wish for you guys to
- 26:25listen to this lady story. She tells it way better than I
- 26:28do. It's her first hand account.
- 26:31That's great. What's her name?
- 26:32Again, her name is Kimberly but her TikTok is Fat girl Freestyle
- 26:37freestyle. So I'd love to give you that
- 26:39little story, but there are some points I have to give to debunk
- 26:45some things. So the timeline does not match
- 26:50up. According to multiple sources,
- 26:53the casket girls I believe were said to have arrived in 1728,
- 26:58but the the convent that the nuns house them in was built
- 27:04like a good 20 years later. So that timeline doesn't really
- 27:07match. The nuns would have had to have
- 27:09housed the caskets and the girls for years without raising any
- 27:11kind of suspicion prior to moving to the Ursuline convent.
- 27:15However, to counter the counter argument, there are reports that
- 27:22the nuns, who had been living in temporary housing prior to
- 27:26having their convent, held a parade once their convent had
- 27:31had been built and ready to move in.
- 27:33So they paraded down the city of New Orleans with the casket.
- 27:37Girls, children dressed as angels and intermixed people
- 27:42were carrying the caskets in the light of day to the new the the
- 27:48new their new home. Their new Yeah once again like a
- 27:55writers room like what like OK, how are.
- 27:57These caskets, yeah. Tour to the third level.
- 27:59Yeah, so people don't don't question it.
- 28:01A parade children dressed with Angel wings.
- 28:04Make it look wholesome, people. Carrying the caskets so no one
- 28:07questions it, yeah. There's also more probable
- 28:10causes to the mysterious deaths of the time and the eerie
- 28:14visuals of the casket Girls. Women were typically seen as bad
- 28:18luck to have on a ship, especially during that time,
- 28:20which is why they would spend a majority of their time hidden
- 28:23under the deck. So they would spend months just
- 28:27not seeing daylight. Like the trip was I think three
- 28:29to four months on a boat. They had very limited food, no
- 28:34access to like clean drinking water.
- 28:38You mean to tell me 3 months in not seeing daylight?
- 28:41You're gonna look as hot and sexy as you.
- 28:42Did when you got that? That was one of my questions.
- 28:44Like earlier. Like these girls look so sickly
- 28:47and pale. Yeah, they've been in.
- 28:49They've been on about under deck for fucking three months.
- 28:51Like malnourished and wow vampires.
- 28:54Specifically malnourished, They ate the bare minimum, didn't
- 28:58have anything to drink, and a few of them even caught
- 29:01tuberculosis, a symptom of which is coughing up blood.
- 29:05There you go. So imagine a pale, ghostly
- 29:09looking woman stepping off the ship with like a blood around
- 29:13her mouth. Of course that's going to lead
- 29:15to like, they're vampires, they're drinking blood.
- 29:20Wow. That didn't go into the fact
- 29:22that you know what, people probably die on this on the
- 29:24boat. So that helps feel like feel
- 29:27rumors, like they drank their blood, they threw them off.
- 29:30They didn't survive, they didn't make it.
- 29:32You said you had questions earlier.
- 29:37Yeah, these these silly questions just like as you were
- 29:39saying some things like, OK, who was the OR the people, the
- 29:43person in charge of selecting these women to send over?
- 29:47What were the requirements? That were OK.
- 29:50Or you have answers. Well, I have.
- 29:52Some answers from what I remember reading, but one source
- 29:55said that they were handpicked by the king himself so if it
- 29:59wasn't him it was probably his like his entourage like his
- 30:02court or something. But they also picked women.
- 30:07They it wasn't like a freedom of choice thing.
- 30:09Like if they told you you're going for sure.
- 30:12And of course they're not sending their women who are
- 30:16doing well in society. They went through orphanages.
- 30:19They also sent sex workers. They sent just people who didn't
- 30:24really have it have a good life out there.
- 30:27Same with the men. Like most of the men were
- 30:28criminals. And they send them out there
- 30:30like you have to build up the territory and then you'll get
- 30:33your freedom. At the same time, they're, like,
- 30:35getting rid of them from their own place, like back in France.
- 30:38Yeah. So the only qualities they
- 30:40wanted was that you were young enough to get married and have
- 30:43children because the main thing was to populate territory.
- 30:46Yeah. Wow, that's crazy.
- 30:50And then like at the time, like how do you hear about this?
- 30:52So like if you're like the the Louisiana, I don't.
- 30:55Know, I think it was a governor, I think I read that, but it was
- 30:58also just a colony so. It's like he just like had a
- 30:59friend from. Oh yeah?
- 31:01Well, they were all interconnected.
- 31:02The whole thing was like, we're expanding France westward to the
- 31:05New World. That's right.
- 31:06That's right. That's right.
- 31:07So everything past that ocean is new world.
- 31:09They had Quebec in like the Canada area, that's where they
- 31:14sent the 1st 800 women and it worked like they were able to
- 31:18like expand. They were having children, they
- 31:19were able to settle. So they said, well, we're gonna
- 31:22do the same thing down here. Didn't work.
- 31:25I mean, eventually, eventually it worked.
- 31:26Like, yeah, I mean a huge. A lot of history with what
- 31:29happened with Louisiana, who it got sold to.
- 31:31Yeah, I think the Spanish owed it for a bit before finally it
- 31:34was sold to. The French.
- 31:36To no, no sold to the America the the Louisiana Purchase, but
- 31:41Yep, wow. Taking me back to 7th grade in
- 31:44Louisiana. Purchase.
- 31:45Wow. Wow.
- 31:46Well, that was awesome. That's a great story.
- 31:49And I know, I think I know the building you're talking about,
- 31:51like all the windows on top are like sealed shut.
- 31:54Yeah, just like at the attic. That's.
- 31:56Like, I don't know why it looked up an old timey picture.
- 31:58So like there's a modern day picture.
- 31:59Yeah, yeah. And I guess it's a a really
- 32:03popular like vampire tour spot. Yeah, and I and I have got those
- 32:07tik toks of like Louisiana vampires and stories and that's
- 32:12cool. Never heard of this version or
- 32:13anything from what you said. That's so cool.
- 32:16There's a lot on the casket girls.
- 32:18Some information I I got that wasn't from articles came from a
- 32:21video of this lady who did a full 30 minute like discussion
- 32:25and she does a very story driven.
- 32:27I highly recommend that. I'll put a link in the
- 32:31description so you guys can watch it but it's from a YouTube
- 32:33channel called the in Between. The title is the casket.
- 32:36Girls. Wow, that's still a great name.
- 32:40That's such a great name, the casket Girls.
- 32:42That's so good. Wow.
- 32:44That was awesome. Brian.
- 32:44Thank you for that. That was really cool.
- 32:48Watch your energy, guys. Don't.
- 32:51Don't be letting strangers. Touch your shoulder or bump your
- 32:54elbow. High 5 you.
- 32:56No dude, keep your hands to yourself.
- 32:58I don't know you. I don't.
- 32:59Like high fives? Stop.
- 33:00A lot of optimism. Optimism.
- 33:02Stop. Guys, I'm sitting really drink.
- 33:05Bumpy. I feel like I have wings right
- 33:09now. I drink a red wool.
- 33:13OK, that was my presentation. Wow.
- 33:15Your turn, Sir. Clapping.
- 33:17Thank you. Thank you.
- 33:18Thank you. OK, my palms are sweaty, my
- 33:21knees weak, and my arms are heavy.
- 33:23I'm ready. Oh no, I just exited it out.
- 33:27Oh, no, we'll never know. OK, well, in the meantime, tell
- 33:30me what are you talking about? So you're teaching me.
- 33:32Sure. So it's funny enough because I
- 33:34also went with something that was popular on TikTok.
- 33:39I was, you know, I was thinking about first doing the encrypted
- 33:41and, you know, well, maybe that's in a future episode.
- 33:44But I've been getting hella creepy stuff on my TikTok at
- 33:47like 11 when I'm about to go to sleep and I'm just having to
- 33:50like swipe it because I'm like, I'm not gonna, this isn't going
- 33:53to be the the last thing I see before I close my eyes to go to
- 33:56sleep because then those would be having nightmares.
- 33:59And like she wakes me up and I wake up, I'm like, Oh my fucking
- 34:02God. What?
- 34:02You know, So no, it's not good. Do you bookmark them to like
- 34:05read? Them.
- 34:06I like them. Yeah, most of the time I like
- 34:07them. And I think I started sending
- 34:08you some just so. I that's why you started getting
- 34:10more of them. I know it's all good.
- 34:12I did this to myself. But today I will be talking
- 34:19about something extremely spine chilly.
- 34:22Did you feel that? Yeah.
- 34:23Dude, I got. Goosebumps.
- 34:27It's a topic many of us have experienced in our lives and
- 34:30have lived to tell the tale. You personally, we.
- 34:34Oh my God. We if the shoe fits where?
- 34:37Guys, maybe you hear yourself in this story.
- 34:42We were all kids once. Many of us still are.
- 34:45Just kidding, but I'm referring to being a little badass kid
- 34:50crying, kicking and screaming at the store because you want a
- 34:55candy or a toy and the adult you're with is over it and
- 34:58they're tired of your shit. And if you're still with me,
- 35:01yes, I'm talking about the phrase mita devaya barsa senor.
- 35:05What, Jerry? This phrase originate I'm just,
- 35:09I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
- 35:11Dude, I was like on the edge of my seat.
- 35:15OK I had to start it off like that because I wanted to break
- 35:17the ice. I don't know how scary your
- 35:18topic was going to be, but this perfect vampires are great so
- 35:21the. Phrase If you don't know, wait,
- 35:23wait, you are going to talk about the signor, right?
- 35:26I'm not talking about that. No, I'm just.
- 35:27Feeling I'm kidding with with Cryptid blue balls.
- 35:29I tried, I tried. There's nothing on it.
- 35:31It's just a bunch of tik toks. If you don't know the phrase
- 35:34meet at the Vaio versus senor is waiting.
- 35:37You got good. I was so.
- 35:41Excited. If you've heard that phrase, it
- 35:43translates to like, hey, like, look, that man is going to take
- 35:46you because you're acting bad or you're like being, I don't know,
- 35:50you're being out bad out in public at a store or wherever
- 35:52you're at. So like Mexican mom, maybe it
- 35:55was an older sibling. They'll just point at a random
- 35:58person and say, hey, they're going to take you if you keep
- 36:00acting like that. And then you look and you see a
- 36:03random person saying that you're like, oh, fuck, they're going to
- 36:05take me. Take them, take them.
- 36:11What's so funny is that that they point to us.
- 36:14Yes, we're the senor now, so it's an ever never ending tale.
- 36:19We're part of the cycle now. Oh my goodness.
- 36:22No, that's not what I'm talking about.
- 36:23Face hurts. I I did try to search up like, I
- 36:27don't know anything online to see if that's like a phrase
- 36:30that's been used for who knows. But no, there's nothing out
- 36:33there. You see how to break the ice,
- 36:35how to get a little giggle in us before we started getting into
- 36:37the scary shit. Terry, that was brilliant.
- 36:40Thank you. Thank you.
- 36:41Think I thought about that all day today.
- 36:42I've never been more impressed. OK, OK, so.
- 36:49This tale is about a doll, yes. I don't like it.
- 36:55It's been the center of one of the most chilling paranormal
- 36:58tales, the real Annabelle. We've seen The Conjuring, we've
- 37:03seen Annabelle, but many of us don't know the real tale, you
- 37:06know? And it's important because she's
- 37:08been trending on TikTok. So that's why I came across the
- 37:11Annabelle TikTok and the panic that she's missing.
- 37:14We'll get to that. But for now, let's get.
- 37:16Wait, she's she's really missing.
- 37:18Sorry to cut you off, but she's. We'll get to that.
- 37:22Oh my God. OK.
- 37:24So if you're picturing the porcelain doll with the glowing
- 37:29eyes, the sinister grin, you're thinking of the movie version.
- 37:31And no, she's not like that. It's scary, she's scary, she's a
- 37:35raggedy and doll. It's even.
- 37:37It's worse than that freaking movie.
- 37:38However, the that movie version was inspired by true events,
- 37:42suggesting the movie uses a real life event that's a starting
- 37:45point but takes significant creative liberties after adding
- 37:49fictional elements or characters.
- 37:51This is per filmindependent.org. So the real Annabelle is less
- 37:56glamorous, but I think way more terrifying.
- 37:59In 1970, a student nurse named Donna.
- 38:03This is where I where I agree with you that I don't get a lot
- 38:05of last names. I just get first name accounts,
- 38:07records of just first names. Donna.
- 38:10She was a student nurse. She received a raggedy and doll
- 38:13as a birthday gift from her mom. At first it was a quirky
- 38:16addition to her apartment, placing it on her bed.
- 38:19Then things starting to get wacky.
- 38:22Donna and her roommate Angie began noticing the doll moving
- 38:25on its own. It would change positions, it
- 38:28crossed a leg if it was on its side, and sometimes it was even
- 38:32standing. And these are all positions that
- 38:34were not like left Originally. She was placed sitting down and
- 38:38then next time they saw her she was in a different position.
- 38:41How does a raggedy and I'll stand?
- 38:44They're like floppy. I think it was like standing
- 38:47against something. So against the bed.
- 38:48So it was on the bed. It was standing on the pillow.
- 38:50Like standing against the pillow.
- 38:51Yeah. I.
- 38:52Like you turned the corner. Standing no and once again these
- 38:55are all just like stories and different sources cite you know
- 38:58similar things but it's just all Donna they they claim to see to
- 39:02have seen this Donna and her roommate Angie.
- 39:06They started seeing all these position changes.
- 39:08And according to the New England Society for Psychic Research,
- 39:13the creepiest part started about a month in when they began to
- 39:17find handwritten notes saying things like help us, help me
- 39:22help, Lou. This is cited through the New
- 39:26England Society for Psychic Research, which is directed by
- 39:30the son-in-law of Lorraine Warren, who was famous The
- 39:33Warrens. Yeah.
- 39:34So the son-in-law is now the director of this psychic
- 39:38research, you know, facility. Are they the ones from
- 39:41Amityville Heart also? I think so, yeah.
- 39:43The Warrens. Yeah.
- 39:44Ed and Lorraine Warren, the ghost hunters.
- 39:46Yes. There.
- 39:47Yeah. She's a medium.
- 39:48He's just a demonologist. And the New Haven Register.
- 39:53So the scary thing is that they claim that they did not own any
- 39:57parchment paper in the house. So which leads me to believe
- 40:00that the Raggedy and all Annabelle just had like a heard
- 40:03calligraphy set with her at all times.
- 40:06Deep in her pockets. Deep in her pockets with her
- 40:08custom quail and red blood red ink.
- 40:13No I'm kidding but this is what they claim to start to have
- 40:15start scene. So things escalated when Lou, a
- 40:19friend of theirs, woke up after taking a nap to find the doll
- 40:22staring at him. No, he felt like he was being
- 40:25strangled and when he checked he had deep scratch marks on his
- 40:28chest. Raggedy hand dolls don't have
- 40:31nails. But the demon does.
- 40:34A wave of fear washed over her as she examined the doll.
- 40:38This is Donna noticing what appeared to be drops of blood on
- 40:43the back of its hands and across its chest.
- 40:46Without warning, a red viscous substance had mysteriously
- 40:50appeared on the doll. It's probably her ink set.
- 40:54I know it leaked girl seal it tight.
- 40:57Terrified and unsure of what to do, Donna and Angie decided it
- 41:00was time to seek help from someone with experience in the
- 41:02supernatural. With no clear direction, they
- 41:05reached out to a medium, couldn't find a name who agreed
- 41:10to conduct a seance During the session, the medium introduced
- 41:13them to a spirit of a young girl named Annabelle Higgins, not the
- 41:18Will Ferrell. Wait.
- 41:20Your last name was Higgins. Higgins and not Gus Chiggins.
- 41:24Gus Chiggins, Annabelle Higgins, Oh.
- 41:28Girl. According to the medium,
- 41:30Annabelle had once lived in the on the land before the apartment
- 41:34complex was built. Her life had ended tragically.
- 41:38She was just seven years old when her lifeless body was
- 41:40discovered in a field where the building now stood.
- 41:44The spirit described those earlier days as happy times.
- 41:47Through the medium, Annabelle expressed that she felt
- 41:49comforted by Donna and Angie and wished to remain with them, to
- 41:53be cared for and loved. Moved by her story and filled
- 41:57with compassion, Donna gave the spirit permission to inhabit the
- 42:01DAW and stay in their home. First fucking mistake was
- 42:05keeping the dog. Yeah, why the fuck do you want a
- 42:08dog? Fuck that shit.
- 42:09That's scary as shit. Insane girl you can stay here as
- 42:11long as you want. You're.
- 42:12Good. Here you can see that room.
- 42:14Yeah, no offense. Yeah, no offense.
- 42:18Donna. Donna.
- 42:21The entity had that had attached itself to the dog was no spirit
- 42:24of a deceased child as it claimed to be, but rather an
- 42:27inhuman, demonic presence. According to demonology, such
- 42:31cases often unfold through a series of progressive stages
- 42:34designed to manipulate, weaken, and ultimately dominate the
- 42:39human host or environment. In this case, the entity was in
- 42:43the first stage, infestation. I will now be talking about the
- 42:47stages of an of a possession that leads to a possession.
- 42:52What? OK, wait, give me a second.
- 42:55Go ahead. OK, Donna and Lou are roommates.
- 42:59Lou was a friend. I guess he was visiting.
- 43:01OK. Donna and Angie are the
- 43:03roommates. They're nursing students or
- 43:05nurses. OK, but the doll was writing
- 43:09notes to Lou. Help Lou, Yeah.
- 43:11And this was the Help Lou was. I think I got that from the
- 43:16article from the New Haven Register.
- 43:19It says that they mentioned Help Lou.
- 43:22I also was looking at the website that is ran by the New
- 43:28England Society for Psychic Research, where the son-in-law
- 43:32of Lorraine Warren is the director.
- 43:34They also have their, like, research pictures of the notes.
- 43:39No. So this, Yeah, we'll get into
- 43:42the one. Can only help.
- 43:43Yeah, anytime you need solid, concrete evidence.
- 43:45OK sorry that was just me stalling while before you tell
- 43:48me about how demons freaking work.
- 43:50So. I should have lit a candle.
- 43:53No, that's creepy. Why would you light a candle?
- 43:55I'm going to light a candle. Don't light a fucking candle.
- 43:59You keep going. I'm going to light a.
- 44:00Candle No, I'm not going to keep reading to myself while you
- 44:02leave. Keep going.
- 44:03Keep going, I can. Hear you.
- 44:06I'm scared. Guys.
- 44:07You left. All right.
- 44:08Stage 1 infestation. This is the initial phase where
- 44:12a demonic spirit begins to manifest through external Whoop.
- 44:17You see, I'm already. No, I can't.
- 44:19I can't. This is the initial phase where
- 44:23a demonic spirit begins to manifest through external, often
- 44:27subtle disturbances in Donna and Angie's apartment.
- 44:30The handle not lighting. What does that?
- 44:33What does that mean? What does?
- 44:34What does it mean? What does it mean?
- 44:36Isn't it just the wax that's around the?
- 44:37Oh yeah, I thought it was something scary.
- 44:40Oh my God, I'm sorry. Keep going.
- 44:41OK, in Donna and Angie's apartment, this took the form of
- 44:45a doll mysteriously moving from room to room, a phenomenon
- 44:48resembling teleportation. These events were not at random,
- 44:52they were calculated to provoke curiosity and recognition from
- 44:56the occupants, which in turn feeds the entity's power.
- 45:00Recognition acts as an invitation, consciously or
- 45:03unconsciously opening a door for further influence.
- 45:07You notice that shit? Just Nope.
- 45:09Ignore that. Shit.
- 45:10So by noticing it, you're powering it by acknowledging it.
- 45:13That's what. That's what they're by being
- 45:14scared of it, it makes it stronger.
- 45:16I think, once again, we're talking about energy here, so I
- 45:18think that has a lot to do with giving your energy to whatever's
- 45:22happening. Yeah.
- 45:24That's scary. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 45:26Oh. It's a lighter die.
- 45:29No, it didn't. Sorry.
- 45:31The critical mistake? Seeking a medium through the
- 45:35medium, the demonic spirit crafted A deceitful persona, a
- 45:38harmless lost young girl named Annabelle Higgins.
- 45:41It preyed on the women's empathy and emotional vulnerability.
- 45:46During the seance, Donna granted the spirit permission to remain
- 45:48in the apartment and to inhabit the doll.
- 45:51This act of consent, although it was well-intentioned, was
- 45:54significant. In demonology, permission gives
- 45:57an entity greater access and authority within a space or over
- 46:01individuals. So she's over here thinking, oh,
- 46:04this little girl's living here? Yeah, girl, pull up chair, sit
- 46:08on the couch. But instead it's a demon.
- 46:11Maybe. Maybe in this case, it's.
- 46:14It sounds like it. Stage 2 Oppression.
- 46:19Oppression. Yeah.
- 46:20With permission secured, the spirit escalated its activities.
- 46:24Oppression involves direct psychological and emotional
- 46:26attacks on the individuals involved.
- 46:28Fear was heightened through through the increasingly
- 46:31disturbing behavior of the doll, such as unexplained movements,
- 46:35the appearance of handwritten messages and the manifestation
- 46:38of blood like substance on the dolls hands and chest, symbols
- 46:41often associated with spiritual corruption.
- 46:44The most violent sign of oppression came with with Lou,
- 46:47who was physically attacked and left with symbol claw marks,
- 46:50interpreted by some as the mark of the beast.
- 46:53All like the three claws. Maybe, Yeah, yeah.
- 46:57Stage 3 possession, you know. That's it.
- 47:00There's three stages. That's that's what demonology.
- 47:04Does no, that's not enough stages.
- 47:06That's not enough time for me to figure out like like.
- 47:09Yeah, like from the first month when they started noticing to
- 47:11the, you know, the, the, the next month.
- 47:14Yeah. Had the events continued
- 47:15unchecked for just a few more weeks, the spirit likely would
- 47:20have progressed to the third and most dangerous phase, full
- 47:23possession. At this stage, the entity seeks
- 47:25to dominate a human host, leading to severe psychological,
- 47:28spiritual, and even physical consequences.
- 47:31In extreme cases, this can result in permanent harm or
- 47:34death. The progression was clearly
- 47:36underway and intervention became urgent.
- 47:39So I, I believe this was in Connecticut.
- 47:42So who else is in Connecticut? The Warrens.
- 47:45So the Warrens were then involved.
- 47:47They heard about it, they wanted to, they reached out and they
- 47:49were allowed to, you know, get involved.
- 47:52Following the investigation, renowned paranormal
- 47:54investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren concluded that the
- 47:57entity's activity aligned with a classic demonic infestation.
- 48:01To stop the escalation, Father Cook, Catholic, I believe
- 48:05priest, was brought in to perform a religious rite of
- 48:09cleansing. Rather than a traditional
- 48:11exorcism which directly commands a spirit to leave.
- 48:14He conducted an Episcopal blessing of the home.
- 48:19I might have butchered that. A lengthy 7 page ritual focused
- 48:22not on expelling evil, but on inviting divine presence and
- 48:25filling the space with God's light.
- 48:28As Ed explained, the goal was to overwhelm the negative energy
- 48:30with positive spiritual force. As a final precaution, and at
- 48:34Donna's request, the Warrens removed the doll from the
- 48:36apartment. They took it into their care to
- 48:39prevent any occurrence of the phenomena, recognizing that the
- 48:43DAW had become a vessel through which the Spirit could operate.
- 48:46I didn't write this down, but I did read somewhere that on the
- 48:49drive from the apartment to the Warrens to hope for safekeeping
- 48:54that they experienced like some dangerous activity in the car.
- 48:59Jerry, you're saying this and there's sirens going off
- 49:02outside. There's more, don't worry.
- 49:04And they apparently had to use holy water to like Oh my God.
- 49:11But once again, this is odd. Just Ed and Lorraine Warren who
- 49:15have a lot of sceptics. About their work I I've.
- 49:17Heard, but you know, that's what they said and hey, I'm not
- 49:20questioning it. Any questions so far?
- 49:24Yes, So it's not like the movie where it went from like house to
- 49:26house. They just said, oh, this lady's
- 49:29drama haunted enough were taken possession of this.
- 49:34But there was. And there was so much on.
- 49:36Sorry to cut you off. And there was so much on, like
- 49:38how involved the Warrens were with the film.
- 49:41Not much. I don't think they were even.
- 49:42They had. No, yeah, They were just like,
- 49:45do it. Like there's a quote saying
- 49:46like, do whatever you guys want or use it however you want.
- 49:49Because I don't think they wanted to be part of it, and if
- 49:52they did, it didn't seem like it because yeah, they never.
- 49:56Dang. So once again it was dramatized
- 49:58for. Dramatic purposes.
- 49:59True, true. It's a very jump scary movie.
- 50:00Yeah, and it's part of The Conjuring series, so.
- 50:04I didn't manage to light the candle by the way.
- 50:08OK so this is other things that were unofficial or official off
- 50:13the book things that happened. Ed and Lorraine Warren
- 50:16determined that the doll was inhabited by the human spirit
- 50:19and relocated to their occult museum in Monroe, CT, where it's
- 50:23it was displaced in a displayed sorry in a glass case with a
- 50:27sign that read positively do not open.
- 50:30It's there is, you know, stories about a visitor who ignored the
- 50:34warning, taunted the DAW, and later died in a motorcycle
- 50:37accident. The Warrens claim that it was
- 50:40probably linked to that, but there is no name or official
- 50:43report that says there was a man that died.
- 50:46Yeah, for that. That was coming from the museum.
- 50:49So once again, there's just stories that may or may not be
- 50:52true. So where is she now?
- 50:56From what I read, she is still at or the the DAW is still in
- 51:00the Occult Museum. The museum itself has been
- 51:03closed to to closed due to zoning issues, but the DAW is
- 51:07still under care of the Warrens. Their team.
- 51:10Sorry, the Warrens team yeah, it's still in the locked case.
- 51:14Visitors are still warm to keep their distance.
- 51:17So the New England psychology the the NESPR lead investigator
- 51:24Dan Rivera posted a TikTok video after the craze of the Annabelle
- 51:29Daws missing Yeah yes, the dog will be going on tour.
- 51:33I don't know if she has already. No, I think she has.
- 51:35I think she's on tour right now. It is the Devils on the Run
- 51:39tour. It is supposed to be from
- 51:43Gettysburg, PA starting in July and going to the 2025 Rock
- 51:47Island Roadhouse Esoteric Expo in Rock Island, IL on October
- 51:524th. If you want more details, check
- 51:55out Warrens convention.com give. Me a free promo.
- 51:59Yeah, so the Tiktok is showing the Annabelle the the Tiktok
- 52:03posted by Dan Rivera, who is part of the Any SP Rs team is
- 52:09has a video posted on Tiktok where he is at the Warrens
- 52:12Museum saying that he's confirming that yes, there is a
- 52:16you know, there is a planned tour this year, but Annabelle's
- 52:19in the background. She's still there.
- 52:21She's not missing. So I I did research Dan Rivera
- 52:28is part of the NESPR and the son-in-law, which I have his
- 52:34name somewhere here is the director of you know that
- 52:38organization. From what I read today, the doll
- 52:42is in the museum. She is not lost in Chicago.
- 52:48That is all I got. I did not deep dive the current,
- 52:50the current whereabouts of where it's been where it's going, but
- 52:53there is scheduled dates before when I read it.
- 52:55She is the Doll is in Connecticut.
- 53:02Can I tell you something real eerie?
- 53:04What's up? So last week episode, last
- 53:07week's episode, me and Luis had a little talk about like stuff
- 53:11we've seen on TikTok, supernatural stuff, OK, One of
- 53:15which was the fire of that plantation.
- 53:19Gotcha. Guess where that plantation is
- 53:22at? Louisiana, Louisiana, Louisiana.
- 53:26Guess where Annabelle was when that fire started?
- 53:32Was it Louisiana? It was Louisiana.
- 53:35Do you see the connection here, Brian?
- 53:37This was not random. This was planned.
- 53:40This was intervention, divine intervention, call it.
- 53:43Call it that if you may. We were meant to talk about this
- 53:47blew out the. Candle blew out the candle.
- 53:48I got scared off my fire alarm. I did not intend to do the
- 53:53Annabelle story today. I thought about it yesterday and
- 53:57I was like, oh, so do you like once again I'll do a Cryptid.
- 54:00But everything just kept pointing me at this doll.
- 54:02And I hate dolls. I find them super creepy but bam
- 54:07linked that's. Scary Jerry What?
- 54:10Were that rhymes? Jerry, that's so scary.
- 54:12I'm feeling wary. I wish it was Christmas.
- 54:16I'd rather feel merry. Would Red Boy become a fairy?
- 54:19Yeah, while the casket girls were sent off to get married,
- 54:26we'll be here all week. All week, Not all week, but
- 54:29we'll be here next week. Dude, that's crazy.
- 54:32What a crazy, like, weird connections because I had seen
- 54:37things like people saying that like, oh, Annabelle was
- 54:42somewhere and like the fire started.
- 54:43I did not know that it was in Louisiana.
- 54:45Yeah. Wow, yeah, it's it's it's crazy
- 54:48because I was like, man, like there's there was a crazy like
- 54:51the the TikTok did blow up about like it's missing, it's missing.
- 54:53But I mean these are. These are that has to be PR.
- 54:56Yeah, yeah. And these are all like records
- 54:58of the team itself coming up. Be like, no guys, stop.
- 55:01That could also be PR. But these are from like a day
- 55:03ago, eight hours ago. I think one of them was from 8
- 55:05hours ago. So yeah, it's wild, It's wild.
- 55:08And I welcome no negative energy into.
- 55:11My life. We set the candle out.
- 55:13Please. We're only here to entertain.
- 55:16We're not here to harbor anything.
- 55:18If there's anyone around here, any spirits, please go on your
- 55:21way. Not.
- 55:23Welcome. At least while Jerry's gone.
- 55:25Oh, Jerry's here. Please be nice, don't follow him
- 55:29home. You are not.
- 55:30Gary has a loving wife there. Yes, I have a very happy home.
- 55:33Yeah, you see good vibes, only no vampires.
- 55:36Oh vampires get the fuck away from my vibes, no.
- 55:38Oh my God. Now anytime someone tells you,
- 55:41like, can I come in when they're at your door?
- 55:45No, you were already meant to come in.
- 55:46I'm not going to say yes like you're at my door.
- 55:50If you have not seen sinners, go watch it.
- 55:52Oh, you haven't seen it? Brian, you're going to love that
- 55:55movie, especially after this. You're going to love that movie.
- 55:58OK, I, I, I'm going to put it on my watch list.
- 56:01Hopefully I can watch it this week, but what a what a fun
- 56:05episode. That was really fun.
- 56:07Once again, these are things that is super interesting.
- 56:10And I've always been like, wow, like I want to know.
- 56:13I want to know more, but it's not things that I seek out.
- 56:15Yeah. So I had that talk with Matt,
- 56:17actually. That you don't have like that
- 56:19initiative to like, Yeah, let me go read some articles on this.
- 56:23Yeah, or, or just out in, out in the wild.
- 56:25Like, oh, true, that's an abandoned house.
- 56:27Let me go check it out and scope it out for any activity.
- 56:29Like, OK, I don't do that by going to it physically, but what
- 56:32I found myself doing a lot is I will see like an abandoned
- 56:36building and I will Google it. I'll be like, what is that
- 56:39building on? Like the street?
- 56:41What was it used for? Why?
- 56:42Has it been condemned by the city?
- 56:43Yes. Yes, there was 1 specifically
- 56:46when I was leaving LA. That big purple building, the
- 56:49purple stripes, it's on. If you're headed back towards
- 56:54the Inland Empire, it's on the right hand side of I think the
- 56:57210 freeway. OK, whatever freeway takes you
- 57:00through LA downtown area. The Scientology building.
- 57:04I don't know. I've never seen it.
- 57:05I've never been past it. But no, that building I guess is
- 57:08a DHS like shipping your house but it's huge and it looks old.
- 57:13What was it before? It was not a.
- 57:15DHS I couldn't find out what it was.
- 57:17And then I could build the Sears building too, because that's
- 57:19abandoned. Yeah, I think it's like, I don't
- 57:22know, last time I saw someone breaking into it, 'cause there
- 57:24was like people that break into stuff.
- 57:26Yeah, true random things that popped up on my my feed.
- 57:29It was like they had a bunch of the the E bikes, the Leafs or
- 57:32what are they called. Clean.
- 57:34Building. Yeah, there was like a whole
- 57:35floor of just like new bikes or scooters.
- 57:38I forgot what they were. In the Sears building.
- 57:41That's. I'm sure they use it to store
- 57:43things. It's just an empty.
- 57:44Building. Yeah, they all have owners.
- 57:45None of those buildings are not owned by anyone, no.
- 57:49Don't look around, I used to. Swear I saw a shadow I'm.
- 57:53Gonna turn on your light? Yeah, you can.
- 57:54Turn that. Let's go.
- 57:55Turn on the fan. Don't do it.
- 57:56Oh, OK. No, I think it was it was.
- 58:00I noticed the the band of my glasses.
- 58:02That's what it was. Well, hopefully you guys learned
- 58:06something. I did.
- 58:07I did not know that there was only three steps of demonic.
- 58:09Possession, yeah. And and I didn't, I didn't dive
- 58:12deep into demonology and stuff, you know, I don't need to be
- 58:14knowing that stuff. But from what I, what I did
- 58:16read, that's what popped up. I summarized it really quick.
- 58:19Yes, I read a lot of all the shit that I fucking read out
- 58:23loud. You know what the next step is
- 58:25for this, like this, like, rabbit hole, because it's kind
- 58:30of linked to both things. The church.
- 58:35The church? Yeah.
- 58:36Like the Vatican, like they sent the freaking Pope to bless.
- 58:40Yeah. The house.
- 58:41Yeah. I mean.
- 58:43All those things on on demonology like they have to be
- 58:46like known from like some sort of.
- 58:47Church. There was this crazy quote and
- 58:50I, I forgot to write it down, but it was about that.
- 58:52It was like, OK, keep talking. I'm gonna try to find it because
- 58:55it's really good. Yeah, like, there's, there,
- 58:59there isn't. There's like a whole library,
- 59:03like locked up at the Vatican that I've heard of.
- 59:06They keep a bunch of things hidden down there, especially
- 59:09things that are known to be like super possessed.
- 59:11I saw a different TikTok about there being this big, like Onyx.
- 59:19No, a big Obsidian mirror said to show like spirits, very like
- 59:25Harry Potter. Yeah, the, the that other
- 59:28mirror. But I guess that if it were to
- 59:30ever meet its twin, because there's another one out in the
- 59:33world that the church does not have, it would cause like
- 59:36catastrophic events. Fuck that.
- 59:37That I guess one person went to go look at it on their own and
- 59:42it literally sent them insane. Wow.
- 59:45So there's some stuff hidden by the church.
- 59:48I would like to know what it is there's.
- 59:50Everywhere I found it, I think it's this one.
- 59:52So everyone in the audience, this is Sparrow, the son-in-law,
- 59:56that Lorraine's son-in-law. Everyone in the audience who
- 59:59believes in God must also believe there's a devil.
- 1:00:01Ghosts. Devil's demons are real.
- 1:00:04He said while most people are focused on the bad stuff
- 1:00:06regarding ghosts, there are beautiful stories as well, such
- 1:00:09as a soldier who appeared to visit a loved 1.
- 1:00:12Sparrow said it's a ghost if a stranger appears and an
- 1:00:15apparition if you recognize a person.
- 1:00:18The key is don't open any doors. Talking about doors that mirror
- 1:00:22and stuff. That's wild.
- 1:00:24Once again, crazy topic. I would love to know more.
- 1:00:29Won't find me out there looking for stuff.
- 1:00:31Yeah, also, I, I mean, I don't want to tease you guys with a
- 1:00:34good time, but a Queen Mary episode might come a little
- 1:00:39sooner than we think. Is it confirmed?
- 1:00:41I don't know yet. Partially confirmed.
- 1:00:46Things might have been. Queen Mary Long Beach crazy
- 1:00:51history about the Queen Mary. That would be fun to kind of
- 1:00:54talk about. Oh, do you think we should do
- 1:00:56our first two-part episode that? 'D be a great one.
- 1:00:59We both like research different lore and different hotness spots
- 1:01:02of the Queen Mary. And then I don't know, the
- 1:01:04following episode is I have a school's funny.
- 1:01:08I have a vague recollection, recollection of the tour that I
- 1:01:10went to, the primary walk tour we went to, but it's it's a lot
- 1:01:13of information. So I think we could definitely
- 1:01:15break it up between us 2. Oh, I'm down.

- 1:02:51The song is called Broken Tomorrow by Who by Casket
- 1:02:58cassette. Listen to it, that's my
