- Jaba: Hello everybody, welcome back to the Scout and the Speculator podcast. This is Will Jarvis, also known as Java Cards, one of your two co-hosts here on the pod, joined by my partner and friend and Bowman buying partner once again, Jeremy Brown, also known as JGB, underscore cards underscore. underscore_underscore_: Confidant. Jaba: And we are here for a series that I think is gonna be really valuable for people and I think something that won't be covered comprehensively in many places. ⁓ so not to toot our own horn, but I think that this series is a great idea. What is this series you may be wondering? ⁓ we're gonna go through every single Arizona Fall League team. There's six of them, and do like a fifteen to thirty minute episode kind of talking through the rosters. Some are gonna be like 30 episodes or 30 minutes like today. Some are gonna be, you know, 10 minutes like ⁓ the next one we have up. ⁓ but before we get into it, today's episode as always is brought to you by Prospect Pulse. That is prospectpulsev1.com, the absolute best place for all of your Bowman prospecting, collecting, organizing, researching needs. ⁓ great tool, like I say all the time, I use it every day. That couldn't be more true. I used it to put together the data that we're kind of talking off of ⁓ in today's episode and in all of these episodes. So I I mean it it's just such a day-to-day lifesaver in terms of productivity and ability to aggregate data. So with that all being said, I will kick it over to Jeremy to get the kind of first licks here on the Glendale Desert Dogs. There's two teams in the product. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Jaba: Not product, two teams in the AFL that are just way better than the rest. And I think Glendale they're d they're obviously one of the two and they might actually be number one. So Jeremy, what are you what are you thinking here with the Glendale Desert Dogs? underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Yeah. The old doggies. Let's look. I mean, so you got the Braves, White Sox, Dodgers, Marlins, Pirates. Kind of like I g couple I don't even know. There's no there's no reason for it. ⁓ so we have the base auto average, as you said, brought to you by Prospect Pulse. There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten double digits in terms of ⁓ base value for an auto. The most expensive is Caleb. Eduardo Quintero at 83, Caleb Bonimer at 75. I mean, this is a team that is loaded. The outfield in particular. ⁓ we saw Bonimer is moving from the infield to the outfield. We have shit just changed. We have Charles Davon moving to the infield. He's in double A now. That's gonna help him. That's gonna help him huge. Jaba: So excited about that. I'm so excited about that. underscore_underscore_: You have names like Wyatt Sanford, who was a darling at release. You have Max Williams, who's coming on late. Briggs McKenzie, who got an early promotion up to A ball, out of the complex, his stuff shot up. Tate South has seen everybody loves. Like just going through this, you go down the list. Owen Carey, like people like him, kind of in that Eric Hartman shadow. ⁓ your lesser guys, lower tiered autos is sub ten dollar autos. That might be where a lot of people want to play right now. You got Johnny Severino, Isaiah Drake, Xander Muth, Carter Johnson, and Dylan Lewis with an asterisk there because he is color only, meaning there are no base autos, so we cannot grab an aggregate of his prices. ⁓ and he's with the Marlins now. ⁓ of those sub ten, I'd like to kind of look at Johnny Severino because we know the AFL is very hitter friendly. As you look at these six rosters, there are not a lot of feared arms there either. Jaba: ⁓ yeah. underscore_underscore_: So when you have that, you have the desert, you have higher altitude, balls are gonna fly. Johnny Severino right now, as of this, is a sub $10 base auto. He's 21 years old. He hit 31 pumps this year, 95 ribbies, hit 256. He's 21 in high A. So I went back, I was curious, fellow pirate, as Merlin Valdez was 22 last year, split his time between high A and double A. And he hit 26 home runs on the year, had ninety-six, eighty-six RBIs. Like, and we know what he did in the AFL, and we know what how his prices reacted accordingly, right? Like, that is a guy who you could get probably pretty cheap right now, and I'd probably bet you didn't think I was gonna hone in on Johnny Severino as a first name to discuss here. But I think that's somebody that has some value play there that you could probably get cheap. Jaba: I did not. underscore_underscore_: You let him go hit three home runs in a week and you can at least double your money. He could also just not do anything. ⁓ what do you wanna do? Go to the Jaba: If he doesn't do anything though, he's not gonna dip. I feel like a lot of these are basically any of these I think can only go up from the AFL. the counter to that is It's not like you're gonna lose money. It is more just like the opportunity cost. So you wanna put five hundred dollars into the guys we're gonna talk about. You know, your worst case, you're probably not gonna lose money, but it's like, okay, there are gonna be guys who go up and you don't kinda just wanna have that money sitting. ⁓ 'cause then you're stuck until next year, which, you know, will happen with some of these guys. We're not fortune tellers. But It's it's funny you mention that for Severino, 'cause I'm looking at his page. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Right. Stale. Yeah. Jaba: Twenty one turning twenty-two in November. That's like a college junior. And like I'm thinking about some other college bats that went like second and third round and were in twenty five draft. Thinking like an Ethan Fry. Like if Ethan Fry had hit thirty one homers, he'd probably be like a forty dollar base auto. At least. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Hmm. Right. He he'd be more than ten dollars. He's more than ten dollars now. Like Jaba: Yeah. He yeah. Like that's not me saying like I love Severino. And it's funny because I was gonna talk about two guys under ten and neither of them were Severino. Frankly I didn't even realize that he had thirty one homers. but underscore_underscore_: Sorry. Yeah. Jaba: Yeah, that's a that's a great shout. And ⁓ kinda going into the next guy, I guess we're gonna start little, 'cause I mean this is kinda where the money's made, right? ⁓ Isaiah Drake. I wrote an article about him back in June. He was like a five dollar auto. He was my pick in the Braves org, ⁓ for guys under twenty dollars to double. That didn't happen, but that's cause like a week after I wrote that, he ⁓ he hurt his wrist or his thumb. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Jaba: yeah, thumb sprain, which messes up your swing. He missed basically the entire season from there. ⁓ the stats aren't gonna wow you. He's a 21-year-old outfielder. He had a 785 OPS in high A in 68 games, a lot of strikeouts, 80 K's, but he had 12 homers and 19 steals, 70 grade run tool, good defensive outfielder. The reason I like him, you know, there's definitely questions about the bat, but a 70 grade runner who can play, you know, a good underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Jaba: Center field, there's not a ton of those guys, and that kind of gives you the floor of being like at least a 40-man roster guy, so long as you know the bat can work a little bit. He's putting up like a 785 OPS, it's not like he's in like the 600s. is that me saying Isaiah Drake is gonna become a $30-40 dollar auto? No, but it's really not hard to envision him going from four bucks and change to like 10-12, especially with how good that Braves market is. underscore_underscore_: Mm-hmm. Jaba: It is. And kinda the last little guy I wanna talk about here, another one. I mean his base auto is three sixty six, so you know, keep things relative. ⁓ Carter Johnson, still twenty years old. He was a over slot second rounder for the Marlins in twenty twenty four. He had a terrible draft year. skipped the complex, went right to A ball, put up a five thirty six OPS with a ton of K's. ⁓ underscore_underscore_: Mm. Yep. Jaba: Just not a lot of redeemable stuff there. ⁓ he was hitting the ball in the air, but it wasn't really mattering. This year went back to single A for most of the year. ⁓ much better. Seven eighty one OPS, eight homers in sixty-three games. ⁓ strikeout's still not ideal, but Again, relative to where he's trading, you went up to high A for the last fifty games, seven hundred OPS, so he he treaded water there. ⁓ you know, left E hitting shortstop six foot two. That's just another guy where it's like I'm not going out and buying a ton of them, but at like three dollars, I I think that, you know, it's not it's not gonna take a lot to get ⁓ to ten bucks, right? And, you know underscore_underscore_: No. Especially out there, like seeing the increase in power. ⁓ in this Jaba: Yeah. And he's a fly ball guy, you know, he's got the optimized swing for it. underscore_underscore_: And it's kinda one of those like when he got drafted he was eighteen four. He was very young. On the younger end of the spectrum. He's already two and a half seasons into Pro Bowl because he did play twenty five games after he got drafted. So just to see that there are some like strides, right? Like he made it up to high A, did sixty three games l at A, fifty in high A, so he kinda split half and half. Like the numbers are trending correctly. He had fourteen home runs af this year. Jaba: Yeah. underscore_underscore_: after hitting three last year. Like it it's it you knew it was gonna be a tougher profile for it to like click immediately. Even coming out of high school, he was like that super athlete middle infielder from the deep south. Came on the scene late, kind of like more of a junior rising into senior type. ⁓ but like there's a lot there to like with him. And to see it finally click is like okay. And it he kind of led he walked so that Rocco Manescalso could run this year. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. underscore_underscore_: In terms of being that repeat like ⁓ or reclass up middle infield, super young at draft. So we'll kinda see what Rocco does too, but that's a whole nother story. ⁓ But Jaba: Yeah, and I I I think not to not to beat Carter Johnson to death, 'cause I'm not sure that's why people are listening, although it is a good deal, so that might be. ⁓ he also had twenty five doubles and I'm looking at it now. The K rate went down ⁓ when he was at high A. That's the first time he's gone under twenty five percent K rate, which is kinda my marker for if it's good or bad. underscore_underscore_: Mm-hmm. Jaba: So yeah, I mean and it i it was fifty games, so it's not like it was like a two week sample. ⁓ you know, it's trending in the right direction. But underscore_underscore_: And he's still only twenty years old. Like he still could be in college. Which is kinda like we like to do that where we look back and be like, ⁓ where could they be? Like he could still be in college, which is kind of a savage. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. And like like you said, you know, a thought that came to my mind when you said he's playing up a year. Like if he had been in high school last year and came out and posted like a seven fifty OPS between A and high A this year, people would be a lot higher on him. He'd probably be like a fifteen dollar auto. So Carter Johnson another one. Let's get to the good stuff. ⁓ you know, kind of in that we got five we got how many guys is this? underscore_underscore_: Right. Jaba: We got six guys between twenty seven dollars and fifteen dollars in change. Who's your favorite? I sorted the sheet by price so it's a little easier. underscore_underscore_: I see that now. You know what? Hmm. I'm gonna go Briggs McKenzie. Is that cheating? Like just knowing that he had that first spike and he's another one, like they paid him what, three or four mil out of high school. Like three million to get away from LSU. Like it's good stuff. They rushed him. I think they rushed him. He had one good start. Jaba: Yeah. No. They paid ⁓ a lot. underscore_underscore_: Then you go look, like, he only logged twenty six innings. He was very limited. He got to A with ⁓ high A Rome, which is an absolute launching pad. Like you can go look at Owen Carey's stats and Eric Hartman's stats once they got out of high A and went into double A and it kinda went down. But like Briggs thirty one strikeouts, twenty six innings, like he's just kind of what I like. Six two left handed, nineteen. And with a sub twenty dollar base auto, there's not gonna be a lot of pitching to kind of hone in on in terms of quote unquote making your money, especially when you just see that he is the only one of two pitchers that even have Bowman on Glendale. ⁓ we're gonna have to talk about some arms and I think it very well could be Briggs McKenzie. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah, 'cause I I I mean, like you said earlier, there are not a lot of good arms being sent there. You can understand why, between not wanting guys to get torched and, you know, managing i inning limits, you know, the only I think we picked out like four names and it's basically all guys that missed time due to injury or just didn't really pitch that much. so yeah, I'm with you on Briggs. underscore_underscore_: Yep. Jaba: In that tier for me, I'm kind of shuffling between Easton Carmichael and Chase Harlan, the two highest. I think a lot of people don't realize what Easton Carmichael did this year. He's a little older. He's gonna be twenty-three in November. But he's a catcher, he put up an eight twenty-five OPS, twenty homers, twenty-five extra base hits, very low K rate, like sixteen percent K rate. he stole thirteen bags, which isn't to say he's fast and gonna steal bases, but ⁓ that makes me feel, and correct me if I'm wrong here, like he's a good athlete behind the plate at least. I don't know if there's strong correlation. underscore_underscore_: Mm-hmm. Jaba: There. So Carmichael's a guy I like, and Chase Harlan, ⁓ you know, kind of just another one. He's been injured more than you would like in the minors, but when he was healthy in single A this year, he turned 20 in the middle of the year. 57 games at single A, posted a 1.009 OPS, 10 homers, 20 extra base hits. Really doesn't strike out too much, like 20%, totally fine, especially for a guy with that much power. Went up to high and struggled a little in 30 games, 720 OPS. Four homers, but the K rate wasn't terrible there. ⁓ you know, there's a lot I like there, and I think the big part here is of course the Dodgers. ⁓ you know, these Dodgers guys all get bumps. We talk about it all the time. He's 6'3, 205, playing third base. ⁓ you know, being at a corner spot, I think probably limits the ceiling a little bit. But I mean, if he comes out and hits 30 homers next year between high A and double A, like he's gonna be like a $80 auto. I don't think that's underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Jaba: That's like a a stretch. So Harlan's a guy I have a lot of and then underscore_underscore_: And he's not important to note he's not an outfielder in the Dodgers system either. So the ⁓ overcrowdingness there won't impact him now. But we'll see. 'Cause they got a lot coming in now with Davlon, Emil, him. They got a whole nother flood coming through. Jaba: Yeah. So, what ⁓ I mean I'm trying to pick out of like the top four guys. Our top four guys here. So you kinda have Tintero at 83, Bonimer at 75. Those are your top two. And then underscore_underscore_: Let's Yeah. Yeah. Then like a sizable gap. Jaba: There's kinda Davilon and Southacene by themselves at forty-four and forty-one. Obviously two wildly different players there. South Assine's kind of the speedy, ⁓ prep younger guy who came into a little power this year, but he's more of like a projectable, whereas Chuck Davilon, you know, that's one where he spent the whole year at high A. We've talked about it a bit. ⁓ basically because they had no space, he won the high A MVP. ⁓ nine thirty-seven OPS, twenty-four homers, seventeen. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Jaba: Steals, more walks than strikeouts, 29. I mean, it it it was stupid numbers. and you know, I know kind of your counter to that has always been, you know, well, he's an SEC guy and he should be, which is definitely true. But at the same time, you know, we can only judge a guy based off of the results where he is. and my, you know, I'm somebody who has a few bigger dablon cards, and my big issue with him was nothing with performance. It was basically the fact that like underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Right. Jaba: Like you said, they have like ten good outfield prospects. I mean, I could literally rattle off like eight right now. in addition to a good outfield in the MLB, obviously. But him getting second base reps is really interesting because if they can fast track him, that's a profile that I could see. If he starts hot in double A next year, that's a profile I could see debuting next year. I don't do you do you agree with that? underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Okay. Debuting in double, you said? Jaba: C debut he's gonna start in double A. I mean, he he ended there. He was there for the playoffs. But I could see like in August, like if he's putting up nine you know, just like the more walks than strikeouts, you know, I could see him being an advanced tech. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He could just be like a spark plug type form in a run type setting as well. Like ⁓ Jaba: Yeah. So I love Davilon. ⁓ I am definitely a little biased, but okay, if you're picking between Cantero and Bonomer here, who are you taking? underscore_underscore_: ⁓ Kintero. Kintero, because Bonimer's already had his moment, so to speak, where his base auto shot up north of a hundred. Quintero, I as far as I know, has not been a hundred dollar base auto yet. Bonomer was a hundred leading into the leading into the year. He got a lot of hype this offseason. And then for it to be settled where he is right now, like, there wasn't a Jaba: Yeah. underscore_underscore_: Yeah, a time that long ago where buying him at seventy five was like like you were still happily doing it the way you were buying Junikers at sixty after he spiked. ⁓ But like what like he he got the double A bump, hit two sixty one there with nineteen pumps. Like he hit thirty seven this year. He did strike out a two to one with one sixty one to eighty four walks, which is like you don't love that. But when he finishes the year with a nine thirty OPS, like playing a full slate. Jaba: Yeah. underscore_underscore_: Twenty year old super athletic, seeing him move to the outfield, kind of as we expected. When you draft Rock, you already had Billy, you have Colson Montgomery, you have Miguel Vargas. Kind of like the opposite of the Dodgers outfield with the White Sox infielders. You have like a lot of your future kind of predetermined. Antonacci in the big leagues, like Caleb was athletic enough where you'll probably just slide him out to a corner and he'll be okay. But I think Quintero still has like another layer or two to tap into. I mean his sample size at Tulsa is all of five at bats in one game, but like in high A he hit three ⁓ nine this year, twelve home runs, like walked eighty eight times, which is like an absurdly high rate. Like Jaba: I agree. Right. And he did he had the exact same number last year too. So it's not like, you know, this is a new development or something where you're like, ⁓ okay, like were those walks real? Like that's just part of his profile. That's you know underscore_underscore_: Right. Yep, for Exactly. Part of the profile, like did eighty-one games in A ball last year, then got a late year bump to high A. Did basically the whole year in high A this year. He's like, Yeah, this is nothing for me. Struck out a hundred and two times. Yep, forty-two forty-four home runs? Or ⁓ forty-four walks, yep, twenty-one. So you can technically say he's in double A right now. Like Jaba: Pay rate went down a little. ⁓ yeah. He t he also turned twenty one two days ago. Yeah, he'll be twenty one essentially all of next year in double A. I mean, I think the thing that stands out to me was, you know, he was a guy, he was great last year, of course, and I think a lot of people were like, Well, is he gonna repeat it? Or, you know, I people were really poking holes in him. They were like, Well, you know, he hit three homers the year the year prior in the complex, you know. How real is this power? underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Right. Jaba: I know he started this year poorly. You know, I couldn't tell you exactly, but I remember seeing, you know, people being you know, there were some told you so's on Twitter. There were people kinda, you know, selling on him. Obviously the Homers went from nineteen to thirteen. But the extra base hits, I mean he had twenty eight doubles, five triples, he had thirty three extra base hits. He's obviously getting juicy ended the year with a nine forty two OPS. And on top of all that, I don't I'm not sure if you mentioned this. I don't think you did. He also had forty four steals. Like just throwing that in there, like on underscore_underscore_: ⁓ yeah. Yeah. Jaba: ⁓ on top of the in San Bat. You know, the underscore_underscore_: With with a four forty three on base percentage too. Like like he's f four and a half times out of ten he's getting on base. Like that's pretty good because baseball is hard. I know we know this, but it's not easy and he's kind of excelling now. I do remember that beginning of the year it was at a lot a lot of people like backtracking or saying like ⁓ maybe he's not what we thought he might become. And now like you look and I he's just Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. underscore_underscore_: doing what he was supposed to do all year. ⁓ like in in his one hit at double A, I guess it's not to go unmentioned, was a home run. Like in his debut of double A hit a pump. So I don't know. It's ⁓ that if I had to buy one right now, like if you put both in front of me and told me to take one, and we'll call it an average of eighty bucks, like the middle point, I would take Quintero. I think like nine out of ten times. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah, I Yeah. ⁓ Yeah. I agree. And I think you made a good point with Bonomer. Like obviously the K rate is not where you would want it to be and people are gonna be scared off by that. I'm definitely someone that is averse to the high K rates. But at the same time you have to look at like the entire picture here. I mean the numbers are just so good. It's kinda like, you know, our conversations on Andrew Fisher. And to be clear, the contact issues are not Andrew Fisher level. ⁓ you know, at a at a certain point you have to say, Okay, well he put up these numbers and that's, you know, fact. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Jaba: I think, you know, and it it's just fascinating. I mean, I think Wyatt Sanford's another guy who could go completely nuts here. I mean, 17 homers in 72 games at high A. On the flip side of that, 100 strikeouts. That's getting into the scary rate. But he also had 33 steals there. I'm personally not the biggest Sanford guy, but like now looking at his stats, I'm like, I should probably get a little. You know, i it's just crazy looking at this list, right? I mean, Max Williams, he's a little older. He got a underscore_underscore_: ⁓ yeah. Mm-hmm. Yep. He's on a scorcher right now. Jaba: Late start to the year. ⁓ again you can do, okay, well he was a college pick and he started the year in single A. Like obviously he should have been doing that. But like he made the most out of playing 48 games. 16 games at single A, 999 OPS, high A 23 games, 921, double A, nine games, 1312. I I mean, obviously you would have liked to have seen a larger body of work, but he really made the most out of those games he did play. you know, I just question what the ceiling is as an older guy who's a Marlins outfielder. But that's another one where I think next year, you know, that's a thirty dollar auto. I mean the only auto I'm really avoiding on this sheet, which is basically cheating, is Xander Muth, who's three dollars and eighty-nine cents and he was drafted in twenty twenty-three. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Yep. Hmm. It's still twenty-one. Like. Just turned twenty-one. He was a high school pick. He was an electric arm. He had an eight sixty-six this year, ERA. Like twenty-eight strikeouts and thirty-five. I feel like his stuff was absolute his stuff yeah, his stuff was absolutely electric in high school, like touching triple digits, like but you knew it was probably gonna be somewhat of a work in progress with him. ⁓ clearly they're sending him here to get more innings, more reps, probably work on some stuff. Jaba: Thirty four walks. underscore_underscore_: So he could be a guy where look he gets a tweet of him throwing a hundred and some people scramble by something, right? Like, ⁓ he's a pirate's arm and the pirates are doing really great things with pitching. Let's see if he can be the next one in line. ⁓ maybe he turns the corner here. Maybe he works on something where it's not so everything's gonna be under a microscope. And we see the best stuff that he has yet to offer. It is electric. It was electric, like I just the numbers right now make it hard for me to wanna buy anything more than what I already have. So Jaba: Yeah. I I think the issue is he's also so far off the radar where and it it's what, like a thirty eight game slate. So I he he you know he'll probably throw fifteen innings at the most. You know. But yeah, I mean underscore_underscore_: Right. Yeah. He's gonna get a couple starts, like Mm-hmm. Who haven't we talked about here? Is that almost everybody I think the only one now we haven't talked about was Dylan Lewis and Owen Carey. Jaba: I know I know you're not a carry guy, so I'll let you say why. 'Cause I'm I'm kinda neutral on ⁓ but underscore_underscore_: No, I I I I do like him. I have stuff of him. He just was a very popular name on whatnot at release. Where I think people were kind of hoping, hey, he's another ⁓ brave left handed stick. Look at what Hartman's doing. He destroyed the ball at Rome, hit two seventy two, had ten ho ⁓ eight home runs, thirty seven RBIs, forty punch outs to nineteen, but now in a smaller sample size, almost half the amount of games. Jaba: Yeah, very. Yeah. underscore_underscore_: It's got the same amount of strikeouts, a little a couple less walks. But that's to be expected, right? Like a prep kid out of New Hampshire, like probably is coming coming in behind the eight ball a little bit in terms of development. Like, ⁓ I get it. ⁓ people were pumping him big. I do think he's a good prospect. I think he's somebody look, it's almost like he had his moment early at release, fell down a little bit. Now if he comes out and has like a two home run game, people are gonna be like, ⁓ yeah, I remember Owen Carey and shoots right back up. Jaba: Yeah. Yeah, he'll be thirty in two seconds if underscore_underscore_: ⁓ and the Just kinda thinking like the AFL is like ⁓ it's almost like the Cape Cod League where these kids go at the end of a summer, if they have pitch counts, they go. If they but it's the if you go there and perform really well, you're gonna improve your stock. But if you go there and don't do well, it's like, ⁓ you get a free pass. Like it was the end of the year, you already had your full reps. Like I think a lot of these guys can only go help their stock right now, so that'll be fun to see how they kind of play in terms of that. Jaba: I'm with you. underscore_underscore_: Then Dylan Lewis, what do you got? Or what do you got on Owen Carey if you have anything left? Jaba: I don't have a ton on Carrie. I think it's similar to what you said. You know, he was setting the world on fire pretty much. Obviously not to the level of ⁓ Eric Hartman, but I don't think anybody in minor league baseball did that this year other than Eric Hartman. you know, he was great, he was very hot. Like, you know, when I would sell him on whatnot, people would go bananas. Dylan Lewis is a fun one. I mean, the only issue is he's twenty three. He was in double A all year. ⁓ underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Strikes out a lot. Jaba: ⁓ eighteen homers and twenty steals. I mean, you really like that combo. But then, you know, the K rate's high. He really you know, a hundred and eleven K's to twenty eight walks. You know, and then, you know, not to just kind of slap something lazy on it, but again, Marlon's outfielder, you know, that's just not underscore_underscore_: Mm-hmm. Jaba: a great combo and like you know we talked about Max Williams. ⁓ you know, I I would imagine Max Williams has flown past him in terms of like the the pecking order. I think if you're a Marlins fan, you're more excited about Max Williams. So I think it hurts that not only is he a Marlins outfielder, but he's probably not the most exciting, at least from a Bowman standpoint, on his own team. I also don't know how all these guys are gonna play. I mean I'm I'm sure that they need rest, but that's Lewis, Drake, Carey, Williams. underscore_underscore_: Mm-hmm. Jaba: Williams and then we're getting Bonimer in the outfield, we're getting Cantera on the outfield. So that's six outfielders. you know. Yeah, but underscore_underscore_: Uh-huh. Jaba: Yeah, like I like I said at the beginning, this is probably the most stacked team. There's one other that we're gonna get to ⁓ in the next few episodes that's very stacked, probably not to this degree. I think this episode was actually tough for me because I didn't wanna miss anyone. I also wanted to like go deep on guys, but you know, it's hard. so if I was a little all over the place, please excuse me. I just wanted to cover everything here. You got any closing thoughts on our Glendale Desert Dogs, who are definitely ⁓ underscore_underscore_: Right. Jaba: I'm gonna have to get a hat or something. So many of my guys. underscore_underscore_: No, I mean I just I think we're just gonna see a lot of tweets from Pipeline coming out and a lot of them are gonna be with these guys and I think it's also important to just say like let's not go overreact on cards either. Like there's gonna be a lot of things that you're gonna see and it's ⁓ this could hold true. I could end every episode, like and I'm guilty of it, like, ⁓ this kid just had two home runs. Everybody's gonna scramble to go buy it immediately. Like Jaba: Yeah. Yeah. underscore_underscore_: Just sit back, relax, it's all a passing moment. Like even even after the AFL I'm like ninety nine percent sure, like as Merlin Valdez came back down to earth pricing wise. Like I would ⁓ Is it safe to say the Arizona Fall League is going to be a seller's market, not a buyer's market in terms of Bowman? Jaba: Yeah. Yeah, 'cause I I you know, ha as you said that, I kinda came to the realization this isn't even as much of like guys you'll be buying then because once they do something, if the price ⁓ you know, the price will probably move up and like that's not when you wanna buy. I think this is more of like a hey, I have a binder with fifteen Carter Johnson base autos. You know, just be aware that he's there and he's you know, active and if you can unload those like ten, fifteen bucks if he, you know, hits a has a two home underscore_underscore_: Yep, have ⁓ at the ready. Jaba: One game, you know, be ready. This is obviously, I think, more for stuff that you have that you've kind of forgotten about, or you know, you're looking for a good moment, you know, you're saying, you know, the offseason's coming up, I'm stuck with these until March. No, you're not. as long as the guy does something. If he doesn't, you are stuck. But ⁓ yeah, it it's definitely a window to kind of sell some things and just be aware of the guys that you have that are there. And ⁓ fun way to just stay connected with baseball until October, you know, checking box scores and all that fun stuff. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Right. Jaba: stuff. So that wraps up ⁓ this preview. Probably gonna be the longest one we have. I mean some of these rosters we might struggle to get to ten minutes. But yeah. Thank you all for listening and ⁓ let's go Mets. underscore_underscore_: Yeah. Michael.
